  1. You're listening to a message to go from XS church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Let's turn with me two chapter the Book of X,

  4. and we're gonna go through chapter one, verse fifteen. Okay,

  5. chapter one, verse fifteen, and we're gonna read there all

  6. the way until verse twenty six. It's a very unlikely

  7. scripture that you would choose to preach, but there's gonna

  8. be a lot of interesting lessons. Learn to be here, okay,

  9. Chapter one, verse fifteen X. Chapter one, verse fifteen, and

  10. it says ya. And the title is written Matthias chosen,

  11. and he says ya. And in those days Peter stoop

  12. up in the midst of the disciples. Okay. Altogether the

  13. number of names was about one hundred and twenty. And

  14. said men and brethren, this scripture had to be fulfilled,

  15. which the Holy Spirit spoke. Before the month of David

  16. comes named Judas, who became a guide to those who

  17. arrested Jesus. For him was numbered with us and obtained

  18. a part in this ministry. Now, this man purchased a

  19. field with the wages of iniquity, and falling headlong, he

  20. burst opened in the middle, and all his entral gashtam

  21. very okay, and it became known to all those dwelling

  22. in Jerusalem, so that the field is called in their

  23. own language a kail dama that is filled of blood,

  24. for it is written in the book of Psalms. Let

  25. his dwelling place be desolate, and let no one live

  26. in it, and let another take his office. Therefore, all

  27. these men who have accompanied us all the time that

  28. the Lord Jesus went out among us, beginning from the

  29. baptism of John to that day when he was taken

  30. up from us, one of these must become a witness

  31. with us of his resurrection. And they proposed to Joseph

  32. called Barsabus, who are surnamed Justice and Matha. And they

  33. prayed and said, you, old Lord, know who know the

  34. hearts of all, Show which of these two you have

  35. chosen to take part in this ministry and an apostleship

  36. from which Judas, by that transgression failed, that he might

  37. go to his own place. And they cast their lots,

  38. and the Lord fell on Matthias, and he was numbered

  39. with the eleven apostles. Okay, today we're gonna talk a

  40. bit about family. How has this got to do with family?

  41. Someone hanging on the tree and the amus posting how

  42. has this got to do with family? I tell you

  43. there's a lot to do with family here. Okay. First

  44. of all, we've got to understand a bit of content.

  45. The key person in this chapter here is who of

  46. course always about Jesus, but the sside character, very important character,

  47. is Peter. Now what is the setting. The setting that

  48. before the few paragraphs before that was that Jesus, they

  49. just met them, Jesus has reason from the dead, has

  50. given them the Great commandment okay, the great commission. Sorry,

  51. and then he was ascended to heaven right before their eyes.

  52. And what was Jesus commandment to them immediately go and

  53. preach immediately? What was his very specific instruction to them?

  54. Anyone knows, it's a question. What was his specific instruction

  55. to them? Terry in Jerusalem? Do not go anywhere? Okay,

  56. it's a very very important instruction. They don't go anywhere.

  57. Wait in Jerusalem, okay, because why because they have to

  58. wait for the Holy Spirit. The things and the commission

  59. that they were about to do cannot be done without

  60. the Holy Spirit cannot be done. Okay. In fact, actually

  61. I can talk about this important ascension, and they are

  62. pentagons all the way back to Exodus. Okay, the same

  63. way that Jesus was raised to the heavens, Moses also

  64. went up the Mount Sinai because the people were scared

  65. thunders like, they were so scared. Then they want to

  66. they don't want to call Moses. You go, you go,

  67. and you go. We wait here, you go, you go.

  68. Then then Mos said, don't be afraid, you wait for me, okay.

  69. And then they came down and I waded their song

  70. muddy Moses a golden calf. And people died three thousand

  71. and den of them died on the same day. But

  72. Jesus in the same manner, ask them you stay here

  73. as well. Don't go anywhere, don't turn to the left

  74. under the right, especially they don't build a golden calf.

  75. Stay in Jerusalem. And it was a very important obedience.

  76. And so when Jesus is like a type of Moses

  77. for shadowing, but Jesus comes to display a better Moses,

  78. a greater commandment, a greater law, a greater grace. And

  79. the disciples had had to go through the same test

  80. that Israelites did as well, to wait faithfully for Moses

  81. to come down and to and in this part to

  82. wait for fully, to wait faithfully for the coming of

  83. the Holy Spirit. Yeah, as a people before they go

  84. to the promise that they needed God in their presence

  85. to enter the interview, the same way the disciples to

  86. be to be able to take the message of the

  87. Gospel to the ends of the earth, they needed the

  88. Holy Spirit, God's annoyinging, God's blessing upon them as well.

  89. And it's a formal one as well. And so they

  90. did wait, isn't it. Eventually? We know and the day

  91. of Pentecosts. You know, what does Pentecosts mean? Pentecos means

  92. what pentha in Greek, it means one five fifty days. Okay,

  93. Penta means panta cost fifty days later. Fifty days later,

  94. the Holy Spirit came, okay, exactly, So they waited Pentacoste.

  95. P of course, the Holy Spirit came on them. Three

  96. thousand got safe in Exodus. Pentacost came as well, three

  97. thousand died. Same reversal, very very important, you know, I

  98. mean right when you know, when you know, when we

  99. choose the way of the flesh, when we choose the

  100. way of the spirit. Now, this was all the setting.

  101. So as Jesus came with a center to heaven tells

  102. them to wait right, a very important figure came out

  103. and this person was not under them. Peter. Now to

  104. Peter right. You must understand this guy. It's quite unique

  105. and has a lot of ups and downs. We know

  106. that he has moments of glory, you know, great faith

  107. where he believed God. You know he heard and he

  108. what they call it launch. He's spoke into the middle.

  109. Catch a lot and I follow Jesus moments where he

  110. believed and moments where he fell and he did not

  111. Jesus three times he got It was so this delusion

  112. that you know when you when Jesus, even after he

  113. rose again right tells them to wait right, Jesus. What

  114. did Peter do? He went back to fishing. When you

  115. go back to fishing, what does that actually mean? It

  116. means that you go back to the things that you're

  117. done before. You know what I'm saying. You go back

  118. to doing the things that you're done before. It's a

  119. sign of depression. When you are depressed in your lass,

  120. when you're confused, what do you do? First? Two? You

  121. go back to the things that you used to do before.

  122. You might not like it, might not enjoy it, but

  123. you are familiar. People go back to their old flames lound,

  124. go to the old sins lound, all their old videos

  125. or their old habits. They go back to the old things.

  126. Peter did the same thing. He went back to fishing

  127. something that he knew, to the place that he was

  128. that he went and fish, and said, when he went

  129. and fish, the rest also followed him. And instead of

  130. waiting on Jesus faithfully there and guiding them, he felt

  131. as a leader. He felt as a leader, said Jesus

  132. died already. Now going going to a center. He entrusts

  133. the whole disciples to a guy who's depressing serially. Probably

  134. you know, is some of it like this guy probably

  135. got an alcoholic problem, drug problem, depression problem. Not like

  136. going back. He's depressed. And Jesus had to go and

  137. minister to him, showing up, Oh you're going back to

  138. your old places. Let me go and busy you as well.

  139. So when he caught again, he caught so much, Jesus

  140. asked him again, you got one football of a fish.

  141. If you want to leave, you can live, and I'll

  142. tell you I will send you off. I will give

  143. you one year's wait as well. It's like severance packager.

  144. You want to leave, can someone God will send you

  145. with crazy moon. No, if you want your severance package

  146. all the money you go, you can won't go. You can.

  147. But I want to ask you one thing. Do you

  148. love me? Yeah? I mean right? Do you love me?

  149. Because what It's not just that question now, because it

  150. really goes back to the question to Peter, what is

  151. truly irreplaceable in your life? You can fish again, but

  152. from the time that you met me, has your world view?

  153. Has your life changed? What is irreplaceable? That you followed me?

  154. You know what I'm saying? No, what is truly irreplaceable? Peter?

  155. And then it is when on those moments when you're depressed,

  156. when you're loss, when you're confused, you're angry, better and

  157. stuff like that, it comes to the reality how small

  158. and patty you are to miss to differentiate what is

  159. truly irreplaceable? What you have is truly irreplaceable. There is Christ.

  160. It is in what you know. And this is the Peter. Okay,

  161. so now there has past ready and now he's seeing

  162. Jesus rising ascending, so caught up with it. And then

  163. the angels will come down saying, hey man or Galiley,

  164. what are you watching? The same way Jesus rides up.

  165. It's the same way he will come down again. Why

  166. you caught up? Okay, imagine with me not Peter and

  167. the disciples come back to Klang already. Okay, okay, Jesus

  168. is just a sender to Heaven. Clear, transition has happened. Ready. Oh,

  169. it's like suddenly we had the change of government. So

  170. what do we do now? You know, what do we

  171. do now? Peter is in charge? You know? And it's

  172. say easier then we read in verse fifteen that Peter

  173. stood up in the midst of disciples and then it

  174. says what the scripture had to be fulfilled? You know

  175. what this marks. This is the math of Peter's true

  176. leadership changed. He stepped up. It's very very important, very

  177. very We missed it so much as I was reading

  178. it or doing it on my own, I know, cause me,

  179. I know. As for the Holy Spirit asking me to

  180. stay on this passage for quest, I was like, what

  181. is there to learn about this? It's just facts? Appointed somebody,

  182. let's move on. Okay, No, said stay there, It's said,

  183. why said? Notice the transformation, ter change. Peter was not

  184. the same Peter anymore. He was not the guy who

  185. was entitled thinking, oh you know, let me see you

  186. at the right hand, goud, where are you not all

  187. the growing? So when Jesus clearly centered in means and

  188. what Jesus sent it to into heaven for what not

  189. to say bye bye, no more, Hey, my job is done.

  190. Now Jesus centered into heaven. It is like he used

  191. to be in state government, now go to federal government.

  192. He used to bend baza. Now he's prime minister. So

  193. the prime minister role in the Bible is called what

  194. the high priest? It's the high priest. The high priest

  195. is the federal government. When he rules, he's intercity on

  196. behalf of us. But the state government, the curacy is

  197. m dina. It's not given to the disciples. So here

  198. we run the the state government right now? You mean right?

  199. The church is the ministries right now? Is that? But

  200. Jesus is our high priest? Okay, So Peter is the

  201. minile person, very clear, it's the mainstre person. So what

  202. does he do? And it's very important for every one

  203. of us as leaders as a household to understand what

  204. did he do? The first thing he says is that

  205. men and brethren, this scripture had to be fulfilled. I

  206. never hear Peter say that. You know, they never hear

  207. this scripture have to be forfilled. He's quoting scripture. You

  208. get mean, right? So, when Jesus is not around anymore

  209. and you have someone to lead, whether it's a church,

  210. where the it's your hopes, where is your own family,

  211. where there's your business, what is the first thing that

  212. is called off a leader? You must know what the

  213. scripture calls. You must know what the scripture calls. And

  214. I will tell you, in other word, what this message

  215. is all about. When I say family, it means this

  216. whole time messag about get your house in order, get

  217. your house in order before the pentagons come, before the

  218. Holy Spirit comes. Peter knows he has to step up

  219. to get his house in order. You need to get

  220. your house in order. My question is that how many

  221. of us realize whether our house is in order? Your

  222. own house, your own children, your parents, your wife, your husband,

  223. is your house in order? And what are the importance

  224. work must we do to get our house in order?

  225. What are the consequences when we don't get our house

  226. in order. You know what I mean, right, So this

  227. is a very important thing. You even so much before

  228. God use this apostles whose words will be literally scripture.

  229. You must understand these peoples are writings are going to

  230. be scripture before they are launching that kind of so ministry.

  231. They had to get the house in order, so important

  232. and not you mean right even for doesn't mean and

  233. they are going to be used that they are. Yeah,

  234. the house can be messy, No, I tell you are.

  235. Even if you're someone like Moses. If you don't get

  236. your house in order, God we'll not use you. I'll

  237. give you an example. Okay, you know I'm what I'm saying. No,

  238. if your house is not order, you can't be used.

  239. God will not use a corrupted and dirty vessel because

  240. it's not about you, it's about Him. Very clear, very clear.

  241. God can use whig vessels. Yes we are whig, but

  242. make no mistake. We need to really get our act

  243. in order, get our house in order. We need to

  244. be not like the ten would foolish foolish virgins. You

  245. no empty oil hems. You know you get what I'm saying. Now,

  246. we need to get our house in order, Each and

  247. every one of us in your domain, whether you're a business,

  248. your house, your children, your spouse, and reading, you are

  249. responsible to get your house in order before God do

  250. any work. It's very important. So the first way and

  251. then you need to know to get your house in

  252. order is that you must not scripture. Why because the

  253. first requirement for any leader is to be able to

  254. clearly divide what is right from wrong. You see all

  255. of us here as humans. We bear an image of God,

  256. not just an image of God because we look like him.

  257. We don't look like him. Okay, God is spirit God,

  258. it's not flesh and blood, but we are. But the

  259. image of God comes in other forms, and one of

  260. it is intelligence, morality, and all such also stuff. But

  261. one of the things that we see in Genesis that

  262. God exhibits, that we also obtain is one dividing things.

  263. As God separated the light from darkness. We are called

  264. to one to divide right from wrong. You see what

  265. I'm saying. We're called to divide right from wrong, to

  266. write the waters from the land, to divide the world

  267. from the spirit. It's very very important enough when you

  268. don't have the ability the world of God clearly divide things.

  269. What happens? What happened When things are not divided, as

  270. in Genesis, chaos formless. Anything cannot be called out because

  271. it's chaos. For example, in the family. One of the

  272. most important qualities of a man, what is that. It's

  273. not that he can provide. It's not because he is

  274. you know, six parts or whatever. It's whatever you want

  275. to call him. No, the first quality of a man,

  276. most important quality is that he can divide right from home.

  277. When you ask him, is this the right thing to do?

  278. He cannot tell you said, you do whatever you feel.

  279. There is no leadership. That's the first requirement. You cannot

  280. say that. You must you know, it's the most important requirement.

  281. When Abraham asked, when it was confronted by etcetera, should

  282. you should we use Hagar as a vessel to have

  283. a surrogate son, everyone said, you do as you do

  284. as you pleaser. Oh I don't. Maybe God's who word

  285. promise for me is not through you. Maybe it's true Hagar. No,

  286. you misinterpreted wrongly. You should have said clearly yes or no.

  287. You don't just agree with your wife. Your wife is

  288. not looking for you to agree. Your wife is looking

  289. for you to be strong, true or not. Women, It's

  290. true strong, not because you're stubborn, strong because you clearly

  291. divide right from wrong. Most important holiday, don't say do

  292. up to you. Then when things go wrong, Ah, the

  293. woman you gave to me, God made me do it.

  294. You been gossole. You cannot do that, you say, I'm

  295. saying no, and cannot do that as well. We've lost

  296. men and not men who will not put down their feet.

  297. It's clearly divide right from wrong. They're not looking for

  298. me to agree. Oh yes, we listen, But I'm not

  299. saying that the man must be a strong, loud. There

  300. can be the softest man. They might not earn the

  301. most matter. But when it comes to spiritual things, we

  302. must go yes, no compromise. We must pray. This thing

  303. we cannot solve by just by thinking and stressing out.

  304. We must pray clear as clear as this not. If

  305. not what happens I tell you, in a family singly happy,

  306. there'll be chaos. Chaos because everybody did what it's right

  307. in their own eyes. You know what I'm saying. You're not.

  308. But when it's but the man as the design, they

  309. must be responsible. You say that, where's the scripture that

  310. backs it? Then you must be saying the wife you

  311. look at you, Hey, you go do quiet time? One?

  312. Are you sure you hear from God? On? Sure? I

  313. mean right? You take on this relationship she's submissed to you.

  314. You better to know that you're really hearing from God.

  315. You get me right. Doesn't mean that you can lare

  316. over her, that you really hear from God, because as

  317. much as you say it right and wrong, God will

  318. also look to you as well. So Peter is in

  319. the same role as well. That's why he said the

  320. scripture says you see her. As they were waiting for

  321. Pentacos to come, Peter realized that I am leader. I

  322. can what my responsibil is to prepare the church. My

  323. responsibility is to prepare everybody ready. It's not just to wait.

  324. A lot of times we're just waiting, you know, we're

  325. waiting for Jesus to come. It's not waiting enough. The

  326. question is not whether we are waiting for Jesus to come.

  327. The question is are we prepared? Turn to your neighbor,

  328. are you prepared? Prepare not just in your heart? Yes,

  329. I believe other theology prepared in terms of your family,

  330. your own lives. Are you prepared to receive the King?

  331. You don't see what I'm saying. It's a very very

  332. important theology here. So Peter, the the first thing he

  333. has to do is to know the scripture. You see,

  334. he doesn't know where to begin a lot of times

  335. that God, how I know this is your will? How

  336. can I know this is your will? God? How do

  337. I know this is this is the right thing, this

  338. is the wrong thing? Is the good thing? To stay there,

  339. to work there, to move there, go anywhere. There's so

  340. many questions, right, isn't there now? Okay, I don't hear

  341. from the world God. Okay. So the first thing is

  342. that you must go to a scripture. So Peter, while

  343. he was waiting, what do you do? He went through scripture. Read,

  344. don't know, reader, just read. And as he's reading and

  345. he says, there you know. In verse twenty, he says,

  346. therefore it is written in the Book of Psalms like

  347. he's dwelling place, be desolate, and let no one live

  348. in it. He's a ficient manner. You think he's a priesser,

  349. you think he's a teacher. He is a fisher man

  350. and I'm my goodness, it's like asking ab to know scripture. Okay,

  351. but not the better Okay, but it's out of the zone.

  352. Give me. It is completely out of their zone and on.

  353. But yet he knows in order to get my in order,

  354. I much read. You see a lot of times that

  355. we don't know. We don't know why. It's God preparing.

  356. But you can't take the first step God, I don't know,

  357. but I know the direction. I know the direction it is.

  358. I said, I don't know claim, but at least I

  359. will start. I can't at least go into the direction

  360. of claim. Then when I arrived there, then I start

  361. step by stay you know what I mean. I cannot

  362. say I don't know. I clearly see a sad client.

  363. Of course, it's not telling me which direction, which lane

  364. is like, but ellis I will go. I start picking

  365. out and I start reading. And as Peter was reading,

  366. He's like, oh, my goodness, this psalms. It's not just

  367. talking about the past. Yes, I'm hearing David no whining

  368. or maybe he's like complaining, but he's giving glory or

  369. God there. But yeah, in this particular passage here, it's

  370. not talking about the past. It's not talking about the future.

  371. This particular passage is speaking to me. I'm living in

  372. this moment of scripture fulfillment right now. I'm in it

  373. right now, at this moment, and it's speaking to me,

  374. and it's telling me to do something. And he said,

  375. let he's dueling place, uh uh business, Let and let

  376. no one live in it, and let an untake his office.

  377. So Peter, by reading he realized that I need to

  378. do something. It's not just advising, it's telling me what

  379. needs to be done, what needs to be set in order.

  380. How many of you when you read the scripture, it's

  381. not just like hey, past and prayers, you know, the future,

  382. but it's like speaking to me. It's commanding me to

  383. do something right now. What I need to get to

  384. my children? Ready? You know? It's things that are my kids?

  385. Am I teaching my kids? You know? In the in

  386. the ways am I spending time with that? Do they

  387. know what? What? What it is? We know? What? What? What? What?

  388. What is the cost about? Are they following their friends?

  389. We're doing their way of your following God's way? What

  390. do they value? Are these are things like that? So

  391. as a it chums to him and he convincing in

  392. his reads. Our house is not ready. Our house is

  393. not ready, Our people are not ready. Why because one

  394. is missing. So the first thing that jumps into a

  395. person who is discerning and wise and good in God's

  396. eye is someone who knows what is missing. Turn to

  397. your neighbor. Do you know what it's missing? Right now?

  398. Do you keep count of your ships? As God commanded?

  399. Who has got put in your charge? Sometimes could be

  400. our children, sometimes could be your home members. Judg whoere

  401. are your ships? That's why Jesus said, if you love

  402. my ships, feed them. Do you know your ships you

  403. like or don't like? You have to keep them? In all,

  404. it doesn't matter. In all, it's not up to your

  405. preference and all it's not voting, en all. You know

  406. what I'm saying. No, you don't get to vote. That

  407. He did enough that your vote, your ships get delivered

  408. to you by I'm moving on. It doesn't work that way. No,

  409. God puts you, He trusts you. It might give you

  410. difficult people. Why because you pray before my pray for patients. Man,

  411. maybe a nicer person. Then go give you difficult people?

  412. Why because they teach you to bear? Isn't it but

  413. every make no mistake, God requires us to know what

  414. is missing. I don't know what it is, but it's

  415. something for you to reflect what is missing in your life.

  416. Then it says that because of that, then what else

  417. did you do? Therefore, he says there in verse twenty one,

  418. Therefore one of these men who have accompanied us all

  419. the time of the Lord Jesus went in an armor,

  420. beginning from the baptism of John to that day when

  421. he was taken up from us, one of these must

  422. become a witness for us of his resurrection. Now, before

  423. I move on on this part, let me just doubt

  424. that a bit and focus on the part about getting

  425. our house in order. You know that maybe we stack

  426. the scripture here. Let's turn with me to Exodus chapter two,

  427. chapter four, Exodus chapter four, okay, and so this chapter four,

  428. verse twenty four, the verse twenty six. Okay. And so

  429. this chapter four, verse twenty four to verse twenty six.

  430. This is after Moses met God. Ready he said, oh,

  431. don't send me, don't say me. And then he finally, okay,

  432. I will go. I will go. Okay, I will go

  433. to Egypt. I will confront Okay, after all this ready,

  434. verse twenty four happened, and he came to pass on

  435. the way at the encampment that the Lord met Moses

  436. and sought to kill him. What then Zipporah took a

  437. sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son

  438. and cast it at moses feed and said, surely you

  439. are a husband of blood to me. So he let

  440. him go, So God let him go. Then she said,

  441. you are a husband of blood because of the circumcisisi. Okay,

  442. how many of you are confused by this passage? How

  443. many of you have you wondered? And sometimes the internet

  444. has come out. Why did he God want to kill

  445. Moses when he just commissioned him? Why this is a

  446. very important passage. Why God just commission Moses? Okay, commission

  447. But yet Moses did not get his house in what?

  448. What did he not do to get his own order?

  449. He did not circumscians his son. But like what, just

  450. because you didn't circumcise, you cannot go ahead, go, you

  451. cannot go to do God's ministry. No, after God dealt

  452. with him for so long, I go back in negotiating

  453. with him. I'm persuading this really stubborn, introverted you know,

  454. you know gaya to go. God said that halfway through,

  455. I'm going to kill you. You cannot go because he didn't

  456. get his house into order. Did you guess on the

  457. eighth day of every every childer they must be circumcised.

  458. Because you don't understand. You think circumcision is just a religion.

  459. They're just cutting the skiptar to those who are circumcised. No,

  460. it's more. The circumcision is very, very important. You know,

  461. the circumcision that was introduced after after Hagar and Ishmael

  462. came into their life, when after Abraham did not believe.

  463. When they had Ishmael, God gave the sign of the covenant,

  464. which is circumcision. Before then, God already gave the covenant here.

  465. He already made a covenant, but he didn't give the sign.

  466. It's like I saying I love you, but I did

  467. don't give the ring He give me right. You know,

  468. you're saying, you go to the wedding, I love you.

  469. The after day, there's the wedding, there's the ring. There's

  470. a sign. God really promise. God really gave a covenant

  471. to death, but he did not give the sign. But

  472. during the time when they were in covenant, Abraham had

  473. a child with Hagar through ismail, and the wife consented

  474. to it some more so both of that and did

  475. not believe God for the promising on. It's like having

  476. halfway through the wedding you already caused, you're already committed

  477. adult tree ready, it's true, Maha, it's true. And God said,

  478. I'm still faithful to you. Thirteen years after that, God said,

  479. I'm still faithful to you. Follow me, okay, and I

  480. give you this sign, the sign of circumcision. The circumption

  481. means what the all has gone and the new has come.

  482. He learn if you disobeyed me, you disbelieved me, and

  483. you knew that this has brought so much pain in

  484. your life to me and you, He says, cool, and

  485. the new has come. God remains faithful even through our faithfulness.

  486. It's amazing though, and the sign of assumption, God renews

  487. that coming again. It's like I'm holding your hand and

  488. I'm looking in your eyes, say I love you to that,

  489. and you turn around and look at another person what

  490. I'm saying that, And then you finally look at me. Oh,

  491. I'm sorry. God said, I still love you, and I

  492. give you this ring. Amazing faithful God is Oh God,

  493. so God, it's so good right, so faithful. Now it's

  494. not just one moment. Over thirteen years, Waited held your hand.

  495. You know, he helped Moses. He held their hands on Abraham,

  496. even though the guy was a weak fellaw who was

  497. up and down in his faith, and he still helped

  498. his hand. I'm giving you another sign. Sign all has

  499. gone and the new has come. Believe me, and all

  500. your family, your household, those bought by you also will

  501. receive the same inheritance through the sign of circumcision, and

  502. that will separate you from the rest of the Gentiles.

  503. So this was given to all the Israelites, and even

  504. for Moses who left. You know who left, who who

  505. ran out was a prince. Hima said, you ran out,

  506. and I'm gonna send you. But you refused the sign,

  507. that one sign that I gave to ever of my

  508. faithfulness to even circumstances. Your child, why are you so ministry? Uh?

  509. Go and focus and on with focused on ministry, grow Rea.

  510. You forgot the ticket of your own house. Remember that

  511. every one of us, whether you're a parent, whether you're

  512. a child, whether you're a pastor an elder, your leader,

  513. you represent God you reflect God. When people look at you,

  514. there will They're hoping to see glimps and glories of

  515. God and God in you and through you. But if

  516. you cannot obey exactly, God's glory does not shine through there.

  517. Especially when God wants to send someone like Moses to

  518. go and do a great deliverance work, Moses must get

  519. his house in order, the same as Peter as well.

  520. God wants to use Peter again to do a great

  521. world to establish the church again, and through this foundation

  522. the church will bill. But yet Peter must get all

  523. the apostles, all the all the house in order. And

  524. in your life as well, Ask you what is that thing?

  525. If you got it in order? I remember when I

  526. shad this, I wander want the least it fast A

  527. suddenly thing about my children? Do they want to even

  528. give that tizer? We don't want to do they even

  529. want to pray at night? Do they even believe? Oh God?

  530. Is it my parents? Is it they believe because they

  531. because I believe? Or is it their own personal God?

  532. I mean right? Have I prepared them? Have I done

  533. it much? Have I taught? Have I been an example?

  534. Do they want to serve in church because I serve

  535. in church when I don't. What do they see? Sometimes

  536. we complain, complain about companies, complain about world, compare about

  537. our wives. We complare about church, and they hear. Children

  538. hear a lot more than they shulgar true or not?

  539. How many parents you know? We know? You know everything

  540. we say about about our leaders, about our work, about

  541. our others. They're here and because and when they grow up,

  542. they why do you think they don't want to go

  543. into church? Because they only hear and say bad things

  544. about the church? One children need? True? It's true, It's true.

  545. You know that we we we as a generation, many

  546. many genure, we inherit many things from other generations. You know,

  547. there's another teaching I tell you, very famous for other generations.

  548. He said that a sad Christian you work hard first,

  549. then after that only when you retire, you settled in

  550. there and you're only yourself God. I can tell you

  551. they came from other generations, came from so many years ago.

  552. I remember it. Why Why is our generation learning the

  553. same thing? Get God, the not the remains, not the

  554. first foods not. There's a saying in Exodus, do not

  555. do not boil a young goal in the in the

  556. mother's milk. You'll heard before it sounds weird. Do not

  557. boil a young goal in the mother's milk. What does

  558. that mean? It's like you see ash, you know you have,

  559. You're gonna check it out. Do not boil a young

  560. go in his mother's milk. This is the commandment by Moses.

  561. Do not boil a young gold in his mother's milk.

  562. What does that mean. It's not saying that you cannot

  563. create this recipe, this gross recipe or so so twisters. No,

  564. what it means is this the mother's mill and the

  565. young girl are two separate offerings in two separate seasons.

  566. Two separate seasons, okay, and you do not mix them.

  567. You do not mix your offerings and your givings on

  568. one season with another season. You don't say, I use

  569. this season to cover for this season, or I give

  570. first and I give to the late season. You do

  571. not mix you on your offerings to the Lord, because

  572. you do not know when you have the seasons some

  573. of us are. You try to give from another bag,

  574. and it's like it's that you have your first fruits

  575. and your second fruits. You're saying that you give by

  576. mixing the different baskets. Know, I want to give ready,

  577. but this one was all nice one. Now you give

  578. us that. It's like super marketla. They don't give you

  579. the best one. Now they put the lousy one sometimes

  580. in front, or maybe the better I beg. I don't know.

  581. But they're mixing on the different the different fruits from

  582. the season, the mother's milk with the young hooks, and

  583. then they mix it together and they give to the Lord.

  584. There is evil, you see what I'm saying. You want

  585. your children to give you like that? You give your

  586. children last week's fork to day's food mixed together. You

  587. wouldn't do it, you some of you. We're not even

  588. give me even yesterday's left over, you know, true or not,

  589. you will not do that. But would you give last

  590. week's remainingful to your children? To your parents? But we

  591. do that? To God? Do not do that. It's evil,

  592. require that very I didn't prepare this message. It's just

  593. I'm just preaching off the top of my head. I'm

  594. reaching really the top of my head. Of course I've

  595. gone through this passion by but it's very true. Okay,

  596. So what I'm coming in stead we must understand. You know, really,

  597. you know what what what is? Does it really mean

  598. to get our house our children prepared? But they see

  599. what they're hearing? What legacy are we really living there

  600. by day, moment by moment that you are so blinded

  601. what they do. And sometimes to preserve the right thing,

  602. we need to suspend ourselves and hold it in our

  603. husbands and why you need to get yourself ready. Sometimes

  604. I tell you, me and my wife that what did

  605. we just say in front of our children. I'll be honest,

  606. I made a lot of mistakes. I really I have

  607. as many inconsistencies in my life, many feelings. My quietime

  608. is not as great as I think you think I am.

  609. I have as well. I am far from it. Sometimes

  610. I don't feel I'm worthy. I doubt, I double guess

  611. God's love on my life. I do all that you think.

  612. I want to shake for everybody. Sometimes don't so that

  613. I feel a lesson. I want to go away. I

  614. am inconsistent as anybody else. But yet we know in

  615. life you continue, You know because you are able to

  616. pursue God. Continue because you realize you're pursued by God.

  617. That's a simple truth. Not because we are so great

  618. pursuing God God, God pursues us. Don't see what I'm

  619. saying though. That's why we're hanging there. That's why we sustain,

  620. That's why we remain, we continue. Okay, get our house

  621. in order. Okay, let's move on. Let's move on. Okay,

  622. my faith X chapter to them. So now the question is, yes,

  623. how do we get our house in order? The same question,

  624. it can also identify how God do I know? What

  625. is the will of God for my life? How you

  626. asked for everybody want to ask God? How can I

  627. know the will of God in my life? So this

  628. is how you know. It's literally found in this passage,

  629. Act chapter two, and he says, there, so what did

  630. Peter do? Firstly, you must know the scripture? Cause I said, now,

  631. why is this? Before I go into the two other points?

  632. How many of you have I have a handphone or

  633. you have right How many of you have ways and

  634. Google Maps? If I ask you to go to Kre

  635. right now without ways and Google Maps in a specific place,

  636. how competent are you? How mean you? How am you?

  637. Or you just okay, I don't want to just take

  638. a grab right now? How many of you are competent?

  639. If I send you to rawan right now. Specific Without

  640. Google Maps and Waister you competent to navigate there wouldn't

  641. there are even within your own state. You won't do it.

  642. How much you want, I send you to Sarah, you

  643. would be scared, isn't it? It's true? Not but knowing

  644. the will of God. It's a bit similar like that.

  645. You know. See a lot of times when our lives

  646. we ask God, God, where's it will from my life?

  647. I need it? I need your direction. I need to

  648. tell me take this highway, exit this one, take a

  649. new turn, take a right turn, drive another fifteen minutes

  650. again left right, see this sign. Oh okay, that's my place.

  651. Then no need we imagine Gods for our lives is

  652. like that? You know, you understand I'm saying, no, show

  653. me God signs. But a lot of times the way

  654. we leave our life in according to God's wool. It's

  655. not like that money. Our life is like a phone.

  656. And no, it's not like always taking instruction from God.

  657. God texting you every day, Julian, make sure you take

  658. youre with the kids one by one. So every moment

  659. you let you're looking at your phone text text, text, text, text,

  660. text text text, This is how you leave your life. No,

  661. we don't live our lives like that, isn't it our

  662. lives we need? But how do we go and navigate

  663. in life? We use an app? Isn't it? You go

  664. the waste? Said, I want to find the best buck

  665. with it, this particular shopping plank. Well, this place is

  666. not registered even in ways you know, so oh no,

  667. it's all special, so legendary. Cannot not even register there.

  668. But pos you want that? Maybe? But it gives me

  669. a rough estimate where until at least one hundred meters

  670. two hundred meters there? It's like that. But why is

  671. an app? An app is like a body or a

  672. framework of code, isn't it? So you download an app

  673. into your forma and you key in there whatever it

  674. takes you as far as you can. Maybe, don't give

  675. you the name, give you a rough estay, give me

  676. that take me to its heart of plan. Then from

  677. there you at least you will get to quite near

  678. or at least in the vicinity of clan. This is

  679. how the word of God works in our lives. We

  680. don't work live our lives as if that Every day

  681. a unique direct text from God telling you how to

  682. live and stuff like that. What our role to be

  683. able to download an app in our body, in our

  684. in our lives. Now, what is an app is to

  685. be able to download and to form to construct a

  686. body of Godly knowledge from from the type of God.

  687. Download download, download, download download d d D maybe version one.

  688. Version one can take you fine enough because by the

  689. word of God you will tell you shouldn't do this,

  690. you shouldn't do that. It may not give you the

  691. specific instruction, but close enough, you get mean right, closing

  692. enough for you to take the first step, enough for

  693. you to do all the due divisions you need to

  694. do on your own part. Then when you come to

  695. that final leg, the final meter that you cannot there

  696. is where God's grace or God's final grace adds to it.

  697. You get what I'm saying, Enough, it's really one. Then

  698. let me demonstrate how this works in action. You're seeing

  699. so in verse twenty one, Okay, Peter, after acknowledging that

  700. there's a scripture we must fulfill, he's like, hey, where

  701. do we find another man an apostle and on an

  702. apostle whose words could be scripture? And you're just a

  703. two gene and the leader this person's writing will be

  704. in the Bible for ages to come in. Off, How

  705. where can we find such a man in a god?

  706. Do not tell me this one? What did he do? Therefore?

  707. He says that what you need the first instruction is

  708. there after the world, you must comb through everything in

  709. your house. Okay, right on the first thing. You must

  710. calm through, calm through everything in your house. How did

  711. he come through? He said? He listed down all the

  712. men that had accompanied us all the time of the Lord.

  713. They're winning and now among us, beginning from the baptism

  714. of John, which is the beginning where the ministry jices began,

  715. until what until when he was taken up until the end,

  716. all the men we must identify, do a stop check.

  717. That is how a godly process is done. Due diligence.

  718. Do we ex Christians do proper due diligions for your

  719. own household, for your own life, every year, count every man.

  720. You don't know where to begin, take stim but someone

  721. us the one. God, Just tell me the one right now.

  722. We don't want to do the work. Man, God, your

  723. soul good, it's so powerful. Show me the one now. Oh,

  724. we're bargain with God. We use his name, We use

  725. his glory and state you should you should know best, man,

  726. tell me the one? Why should I do the work? Accounting?

  727. Going to everyone? Who are you? Who are you really?

  728. Who are you? Who has the loss? Why are you?

  729. God is in heaven, you are here? Why you make

  730. such a demand. You may not say it, but your

  731. whisper in your heart? Why are you to make such

  732. a demand. We try to make sense of everything. Just

  733. because you don't understand why you stop? You cannot you know?

  734. We need absolute proof for everything. The said has starts.

  735. Stopped you from from breathing, from driving a car, from

  736. going to stick, knowing that whether you can wake up

  737. tomorrow or not? No, how are you? So you gotta

  738. do your due diligence. Come through everyone, even if it's

  739. one hundred, two hundred hundred, comb through, List them down

  740. one by one, because you will do it because the

  741. fear of God is in you. You get what I mean, right?

  742. You do it because the fear of God is in you.

  743. You'd better do it, not because of anyone, because you

  744. fear God. So Peter did the right thing. She was smart.

  745. He must understand. It's quite amazing transformation from a guy

  746. who rejected Jesus street times and went back to his

  747. all fishing waves. Suddenly he's like the best or detail,

  748. he's like the best, you know, business manager, go through

  749. one by one. We need to go through one by

  750. one every man. And then what they said, and they

  751. proposed to Joseph cod So they did. They work no shortcuts,

  752. work every want. I don't know how many hundreds of

  753. thousands then listen until they do that part until too

  754. How many of us, when in pursuing God, pursuing his will,

  755. have we narrowed down the hundreds to the two before

  756. we say God? We don't normally or we short cut

  757. said God, I just need you your will for my life.

  758. Don't know God disappointing. We don't see that in Peter,

  759. you know, we don't see that in the Disciples. You

  760. know you can mean and you want to experience grace

  761. in your life, want experience God touched in your life.

  762. You got to narrow this down on your own. When

  763. you step out that take that first, that God's grace

  764. follows you. You know what I'm saying, I'm asking you

  765. to completely save yourself. You can't save yourself, but God

  766. blesses you when you step up. God. I don't know

  767. how to listen to my children. It's okay. Whatever you can,

  768. whatever you are able to do, you do, and you commit,

  769. you do, and you commit. I can't, but I do.

  770. I don't know my children will listen to me. I

  771. will step out. I don't know whether I will manage

  772. on the step up. You know what I'm saying. And

  773. this is how it works. We always want God to

  774. provide us. We always step on. No, this is not

  775. how the Bible works. Very clearly, narrow it down to two.

  776. Then what did they say? And then they said, and

  777. they pray, Lord, you know the hearts of all. When

  778. you're down to two, you really cannot see because there's

  779. one part you must acknowledge where our limits are. We

  780. cannot see the hearts of men. I don't know you're sincere.

  781. You want to block me. I share your hand. I

  782. don't know what you want to do. Either you mean

  783. evil or go for me. You don't know me. I

  784. don't know you as well. So that's a part we

  785. must go until in our lives. We must go until

  786. the very very very and before we relieve. And they say, God,

  787. only you can do. You can't mean we need to

  788. do our parts, you know, okay, and they say that

  789. you know the hearts of Oh sure which of these

  790. two you have chosen to take part in the ministry.

  791. This is the earthly way to know the will of God.

  792. Don't go around and say, God, I have not done

  793. anything God. This year will show me in your clouds

  794. you see a sign there. Once a while, God can

  795. give you a God can stay. But every time you

  796. asked out like that, God was a You need to

  797. do your partner, You know what I mean? Right? Don't

  798. go and test God and all Susie. The Lord is

  799. not to be tested at all. We already have seen God.

  800. We already have heard God. We have the privilege. We

  801. should not be like new or young believers or unbelievers

  802. who go out and test God. Who would requires science

  803. and want this before we believe? You know, makes sense.

  804. Let's speak quiet here, makes sense. Don't go and go

  805. on testing none. Actually a lot of you know, actually

  806. I really believe all of us. Year. Actually, in my

  807. own life, all the times I was like, oh God, actually,

  808. actually I could have done a lot more. I could

  809. spare myself on my lot, but I could have been

  810. more diligent in my own spiritual walk. This is the truth.

  811. But are we honest enough to say, are you diligion

  812. in your own walk? Are you religion in your family?

  813. Diligent to see and to separate and to divide and

  814. to narrow onto that's part. And he says, here and

  815. then you know personally, if I to take part in

  816. this miniature apostleshit from which Judas by transcripsion failed, that

  817. he might go to his own place verse twenty six.

  818. And they cast their loss and the love film at that.

  819. So the casting the loss, you say, oh, I need gambling,

  820. I need no okay, in the problems, I can't remember

  821. which part by referend, by casting a loance is actually

  822. a scriptural direction that you can do to determine the

  823. will of God as well until you have done your part,

  824. you know, I mean right, it is appropriate at the

  825. tail end. It's like you cook career, you don't act

  826. sometime at the beginning and let you want to go

  827. here you add, what's the end after finishing? Some things

  828. are meant at the writing place at the right time.

  829. On you know, you know what I'm saying. What I'm saying, No,

  830. you don't just sprinkle who you know, just be forgot.

  831. You must know when to apply clearly, dividing clearly, knowing

  832. how to add and to do that. Okay, And they

  833. cast their lots, and the Lord fell on Matthias, and

  834. he was numbered with the eleven apostles. Then in the

  835. next chapter, the Day of Pentecosky, how many of you

  836. want to see breakthrough? How many of you you want

  837. to make sure that your life is aligned? We've got

  838. so important that we're alive. You're not missing out there

  839. were not that we're that, you know, it's we're not

  840. It's not because of our own stubborness. It's not because

  841. of our own you know, thinking you know, we you know,

  842. thinking of the always you know, taking on the the

  843. old you know sometimes could be outdated. And it's not

  844. even godly teachings that we insist on it. But if

  845. the scripture is true, how the apostles prepared, isn't that

  846. how we ought to prepare our own families? What do

  847. you think is the checklist that God is asking you

  848. to go through right now? Are you prepared? It's your

  849. family prepared? Are your children prepared? It's the church prepared?

  850. Are your homes prepared? If not. What are you going

  851. to do if you build a body of knowledge in

  852. your life to at least get you to eighty percent

  853. or ninety percent where you need to be someone you

  854. can't because you only have a phone. But not at

  855. no app you don't have a body of knowledge. Every

  856. day you come to church, you're just asking for prayer.

  857. Nothing wrong with asking prayer, but a bit wronger when

  858. you can download it but you don't want to download it.

  859. You know your pastor will take you phone and say, hey,

  860. you can download this to go somewhere and want and

  861. a true or not, but instead you just want to

  862. be prayed for. God show you one direction this is

  863. you not be like that. We need to be better.

  864. You see how I'm saying. We need a body, a

  865. healthy godly body of knowledge in her mind that we

  866. can use to clearly divide and write and wrong, that

  867. we are fully equipped with the armor of God, building

  868. the sword of the Spirit and the word of God.

  869. You know I'm saying, you know it's not being lost.

  870. I'm here. You know, no tax tax tax text text

  871. and you say oho signals can already? Oh do not left?

  872. All right? Righty? No discernment, no skill, no maturity, but

  873. we got to grow up. Amen. Come, let's stand together, Layah.
