Mercy | Elder Terence Atkinson

You're listening to a message to go from at church.

We hope this message will light up your tea this morning.

I've come to you with a message that I believe

the Lord has for you, because you know, every time

I share the word, I always ask the Lord what

do I share? I don't pick up going to the

internet and look for nice messages, okay, and then I

finally take somebody else's message and give to you. No, no, no, no,

I don't do that. So I asked a lot Lord,

what do I share? And this morning the Lord asked

me to share with you mercy mercy, So someone here

today needs mercy. There's only two reasons that the Lord

would ask me to share this word on mercy. One

is if someone here needs to receive mercy, and the

other is if someone here needs to give mercy. There's

only two reasons you learn about mercy. It's to receive

it or two give it. So anyway, I always get

my messages and clarity when I go walking in the morning,

four am, before it's bright, before anybody else is awake.

I'm there walking in my neighborhood. I haven't seen the

wild bow that comes out very occasionally. I don't stay

in a in a well, I stay in Charam. But

wild boar has actually been cited in my neighborhood. People

have actually taken photographs. One of them is big as

half a car, and maybe eleven small ones. So because

I stay at the fringe of a forest reserve, okay,

that's one. And at other times in the morning, you know,

I loved you know, have you seen what a civid

cat looks like. It's actually quite a beautiful creature. I've

only seen it twice, but you know it's in my neighborhood. Okay,

So one morning as I was walking, I walked and

then I saw it on the fence. I know about that,

but after you okay, so the thing is this. I

saw it, I looked at it, and it looked at me.

We startied each other for a little while, and then

I continued walking and continued and it's way. So it's

such a beautiful creature. The Lord said, share with them mercy,

and then he brought to mine. A few days before that,

I had gone to have dinner with El Mabel and

I was eating dinner in a shop and one of

my favorite dinners is rabatose because as you know, Roberto said,

it's lowing calories. So I calorie counts all right, and

one up up them on the other hand, is not

so low in calories. But never mind, that's what I

eat for dinner. So we finished dinner. We're on our

way home, and as we were going, we got into

the car and I turned on the car lights. In

the distance, uh, Elembel spotted a dog. The dog maybe

a young one, not not quite a puppy, not quite

an old, you know, somewhere in between, and it was

feeding from the garbage or it was looking for food.

And then she said, ah, it's so sad, you know,

it's struggling to find food. And then I said, if

you want, just go and do something about it. So

she said, okay, you hang on here. We went back.

She went back into the shop and she bought it food.

So I thought she was just going to get rice. Okay,

I thought she was just going to get rice. Lun

behold she's she so she and I thought that when

she comes, she'd be afraid to go and you know,

go up to the dog. She'll give me the food

and say you go. So I read in the car.

When she comes out with the food, and she doesn't

do that. She walks right up to the dog and

she opens the packet up and the dog was a

little bit afraid and moved away. But as soon as

she moved back towards the car, this grateful dog when

to eat the food. And then I see, even from

the distance, I can see she bought the dog chicken.

I was thinking to myself, mind where I was having dinner.

She didn't even buy me chicken. But you see, that's mussy.

Did the dog require anything from her? No? Was the

dog able to give her anything? No, but she just

wanted to do something for the And then the Lord

reminded me and he said, this is mercy. So then

you ask, I mean, you say, if you want to

receive mercy, you're like the dog. Hey, if I am

eating crambs from the master's table, call me a dog.

I'm okay, because I would rather be a dog eating

crams from the master's table than a king seated with

the enemy, you know, And that's important. And I need

a little bit of help with this because it seems

to be Yeah, I need to Okay, there we go.

Do you want to damage it? All? Right? So mercy?

So what is mercy? What is mercy? I refer to

the Webster's dictionary. Webster before you used to be called Webster.

Now it's called Webster Merriam, right, the Webster's Merriam's Dictionary.

And I wanted to know what was the meaning of

this word mercy. So it first meaning is it is

a compassion of four balance. It is a compassion or

four balance, and it is shown especially to an offender

or to one who is subject to one's power, meaning that, Okay,

let me share with you what you would understand. Let's

see your boss, right, and you tell your stuff. I

need this job computed by tomorrow eight am. All right,

very important client needs it, very important job. And the

next morning it comes to you say, boss, I tried

all my best, but I couldn't because my computer crashed.

Have you ever been in that position before where you

needed something and your computer crashed? Hey, I've been there, man.

I was the accountant of a very big school, all right,

and my audits were always on time, My work was

always on time. So I had done all this work.

You know, it's already, it's all you know there, it's fine,

it's good. And then some guests comes from overseas and says, oh,

I need to access the Internet, and they are so kind.

They take their pen drive and put it into the

system and they infect my entire computer system with a virus.

This virus was an insidious virus. Immediately infected seven computers

on my network. What it would do was it would

continue to send messages out to the Internet, require annual jam,

your computable jam, your commutable jam, so you can't work.

And it wrote itself on the IO sector of your

hard disk. That means you could do a heart level

high level format the most you know where you make

your heart disk like brand new kind of format. And

every time you opened it was there. You know what

is the resolution? Take your hard disk and throw it away.

Seven That meant I had to. Then you say, oh,

what about your backup? I had no idea that this

thing was on my computer for so long and it

was set to start up on a specific date, so

it was in all my backups. I had to re

keep everything from scratch. Took me six months. Six months,

so that was the only year my Audiit was very late,

and after that I became very paranoid. I have grandfather,

grandmother and grandsister have everything from now ten times backwards, stored here,

stored in the house, store everywhere, stolen in store everywhere.

So if it ever happened again, no worries. I have

got clean backups. Then I took another computer and installed

in it. From now on, any guests you use that one,

don't come near my system. But you learn right. So anyway,

did my bosses get angry with me? No, because it

was genuine. So when somebody comes to you like that,

you're the boss. So what do you say? You did

not complete your work? I fire you out, you go?

Was that mercy? No? As a boss, what should you

have done? I'm very disappointed the work is not done,

but we need it. So I tell you what. I'll

give you another day. Give it to me tomorrow, but

this time, if you run into any problems, whatever the

time is, call me. I will come and be there

with you, and I will resolve it with you. You

know why, So that if the guy is telling you

a story, he won't tell you a story, but if

it's genuine, he knows that you're there backing him up.

So that's what this kind of mercy is. You're in

a position to say it's okay, you're the boss. Now

there's another type of mercy. It's called the one who

begs for something. Begged for mercy. Remember the guy when

he goes He went to Jesus and he begged, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord,

help me, help me. What do you want that you

may that I may receive my sight? So he begged, Lord,

have mercy, Lord, and mercy, Lord, and mercy. What do

you want that I may receive my side? This is

us sometimes, right, we go to God and it's okay.

But we are children. Now you know that was a

person who was an unbeliever. Do you know have you

heard of unbelievers crying to the Lord and the Lord

comes to their rescue. Remember the story I told you

about the man who's your was in trouble, my classmate,

and he was about to die. And what did he do?

He called in the name of Jesus. What was that?

He was seeking God's mercy because he was an unbeliever.

He did not know Jesus. But his words are Jesus

came on the water. He saved me. And immediately when

he got to show, he gave up all his millions

of dollars to become a servant of the Lord. So

this is what that means, beg for mercy. So another

you know a person who is imprisoned for let's say,

first degree murder, and he gets mercy of a court

and says, never mind, we won't take your life although

it's a death penalty. We'll give you life in prisonment.

That is that kind of mercy. The other one is

a blessing, that is an act of divine favor or compassion.

May God have mercy on us in our case. We

are recipients of this all the time. How many of

us feel that we deserve where we are today? He

see hens, I praise the Lord. Nobody's putting your hands up,

because that means we all know none of us deserve anything,

and we are recipients of the mercy of God. Long ago,

remember I told you this story how in front of

the it Mall in section fourteen, where this car had

broken down, and as I passed by, and I saw

that this man and his wife was stranded and his

children were stranded, a car couldn't start. You remember that,

And I told you the story. I prayed and I said,

Lord help this man, and I drove off. So you

know when you already make the turn. You're already in

your way home, right, you're not in the area. And

then the Lord says, you go and help him. Lord,

i've met the term. Did I not pray for him? Yes,

and I'm answering your prayer. You go. Then I can

hear the Lord laughing, you know, for me, I've heard

the Lord laugh at me. Okay, because he's got a

sense of humor. You all think that God is no

Why is it you have a sense of humor? Because

God has a sense of humor. The Bible says you

are like your father. So then I came, okay, my Lord,

I have to turn the car around, go back to

the I was so upset, you know, do you know?

I was so upset that the Lord said me, I

didn't talk to that guy. I said, just pop your

head that pop your head, pop your hoot, all right, God,

your pop your head, pop your hoot. I went in

my car, got the cables, the jump cables, put it

on jumpshund of the car. You're okay, I'm okay, all right.

I didn't even say how are you? Are you okay?

My name is nothing. It was done out of sheer obedience,

but at the same time upset. Have you ever done

something like that? It's okay because you're learning. I'm learning right,

We're all in the process of learning. Sometimes you don't

get it right. So in my morning walk, the Lord

said for the first time, this is after about twenty

to twenty five years. He told me why. He said,

you were giving mercy that you had received. So I

asked him, what do you mean by that? I said,

when you were a student or not a student, you

were young, working adult. When I was in the eighties,

I used to ride from my place of work in

kl to Klang by motorbike and I had a Kawasaki

gto right black bike. And it was about ten thirty

at night after I finished my class at three kdu

I finished the class. It's about ten ten thirty and

I was riding back to Klang and somewhere where you

know the Mara Tour building, the Marator building on the

right hand side you're heading towards Klang. You can actually

see the Mara building and it's the road sort of

comes down right and it's somewhere before the turn. Now,

there's a turn that goes into IOI More and the supermarket,

you know, the around that area. The bike ran out

of patrol. The bike ran out of patrol because you

know those days, the bikes have a valve. There's a valve.

It is your reserve tank. When you feel a patrol

you have to turn that valve back to its normal position.

All right. Nowadays, I think bike's got a few gages

that tell you, oh, you know you're running, You're you're

close to empty. Those days, no, your bike ran out

of petrol. Then you turn the valve and it goes

into the reserve tank and you can still run until

you get to a petrol station. Unfortunately, the time before

so that when I feel that petrol, I forgot to

turn the valve back, so it was completely empty. So

what do I do? I have to get out and walk,

push the bike and walk. While I was doing that,

one man stopped by and say, come, let me help you.

Put your foot on my bike and I'll pull you.

I say, no, thank you. I don't have the courage

for that. Okay, it's okay, please forgive me, thank you

so much for stopping. It's all right. I walk do

you know for me to walk from there to my

house pushing a bike would have taken me easily four

to six hours, which you mean I would have finished

around I don't know until my nearest patrol station. I

can't imagine what time it would have been. Now you

ask me to walk ten kilometers, I can do it

in two hours, not a problem without a bike. But

at that time I don't know. So I told the

guy no, thank you. He left. One or two minutes later,

another guy stops and he says, you ran on the

petrol and say, yeah, this is Let me help you,

so he said. Then he looked around and he found

a drink cotton, an empty drink cotton. Tetra brick. You know,

tetra brick is actually that the square curtains which you

got all your drinks in. So he takes that and

he opens it up, make sure it's empty. Then he

goes to his own bike and he pulls out the

valve leading up to the petrol and he fills that

container with petrol and puts it back, and he pulls

petrol into my tank and the bike starts. I'm so

grateful to him. I ask him, where do you live,

he says, I live in I've forgotten it. What is this? Uh,

there's a there's a there's a man in between the

roundabout and before it gets to Temungbia? What is that

one called somewhere around there? Tropoli? So where do you live?

I live around there? Thank you so much, Thank you

so much. I had just received mercy. Did I deserve it?

I mean I should have known better right when I

filled up my petrol, but I didn't. I didn't check.

But I received mercy. You know how long this whole

incident delayed me? Less than twenty minutes. In other words,

that God came to my rescue almost immediately. You know,

I went looking for this guy. He told me where

he lived. I went looking for him. I could not

find him. Was he an angel? I don't know, but

he was my angel at that time. The Lord, it's said,

So I received mercy, and this thing has fallen again. Okay,

So this is what is known as God's mercy. And

then there's another thing where in a circumstance, let's say

something bad is about to happen, but a person gets

saved even without asking. Just for example, you're walking and

all of a sudden a stone falls and he just

misses you. The whole piano fell from the first floor

and he missed you. That is mercy, like cartoon. But

do you know that it happens. You go on the internet,

you see so many of this. The guy is walking

and just as he steps by, out of Noah, a

car comes and rushes by, crashes into the wall by

the side, and he doesn't even know. This is mercy.

I saw one where a big tired and it rolled off,

a big vehicle when it jumped on the curb and

it went up high. And this guy is walking and

he just walked and the thing went just over his

head and fell there. That is mercy. You and I

we received a lot of mercy, and sometimes we don't

know it. Remember I told you that when I walked

across the road here in telling just after last our school,

I crossed the road. When I crossed the road, a

motorbike hit me at full speed, bashed into me. I

was only eight years old, standard two. I crossed the road.

This fella came and he slammed into me at full speed.

I got up, red uniform and not ready for his

white uniform now red full of blood. It was just

dyed red, all right. And I looked at this guy

and his face was all scratched up and scraped and

all that. Because that day, those are the time, no

helmet rule. You can ride your bike. That's up to you.

You live, you live, you die, die, that kind of thing.

His motorbike had gone flying. I fell a where the

bike hit me. The bike and him went all over

the place. I get up, I rode to the side

of the road, and I continue walking home. Yeah, I

just picked up my back. This is what I remember.

I picked up my back. My white uniform was now red.

I was missing one shoe. Shoe fell off. I didn't

bother about the shoe. I just got up, picked up

the bag, and I continued to walk home. And I

looked on the left, because I stayed in Tamoga Birreau.

I looked in the left and I see this guy.

He was on the ground. Then his face was all

scraped and scratched. Motorbike on the other side. And just

continue walking home. Then one guy in a big trailer

stopped said, what happened to you? Said? I met an accident.

Oh where do you live? I stayed in Beah. I'm

sorry I have to go somewhere else, So he continued

the time. The road was only two where one way

going to see one way coming. There was a divider

in between. And then an Indian gentleman on a bicycle

stops buying. He says, what happened to you? I say,

I met an accident over there. Come come, come, let

me take you home. So he puts me on his

bike and he cycles me to my house and Tamangambira

and then my mom sees me. She goes into a flap.

You wouldn't go into a flap. Complete white uniform used

to be white, is now no longer white. It's completely red.

So she calls for someone to come and help take

me to the to the hospital or the cleaning. I

went to the mirror to see where I was bleeding from.

So I take her cotton. Those days, they use cotton

to clean the face after the makeup, right, so I

only see where my makeup was. I clean and then

I found a hole in my face. There's a whole.

It's not dimple, Okay, it's a whole. It was It

was a hole. It literally was a hole in my face.

So he went to the doctor. Doctor checked me out

and say it's okay. This one needs the chest to

be all right. So, like President Tum put a piece

of cotton on his yea, I put one cotton on

my face and you know what. I went to school

the next day. No aches, no pains, no fractures, nothing.

How many people have you known that? I've known some

people who fall off the bicycle without being hit and

die And here a motive bike. This is God's mercy.

How many of us have received God's mercy and we

may not even know it. I want to tell you

I have my personal definition of what mercy is, and

this is it pity or empathy in action. Pity or

empathy in action. When you pity someone and you do

nothing about it, it can be considered violence. Yes, sir.

How many do you remember that show The A Team?

I am? Okay, incline, not so older because they have

more hands that when I'm in any other place. And

the state for us. Love of the Lord never ceases.

His mercies never come to an end. We are new

every morning. Great is thy, faithful nurse the state. Know

I love this, They are you every morning. His mercies

never come to an end. You know why he says

this because you and I stink when we go to bed. Yeah,

we live our life. We think our own things, we

do our own things, We live whichever way we want.

And if we measure our goodness against the love of God,

what does the Bible say? They are like filthy rags.

But God says every day when you wake up, it's

a clean slate, because my mercy is new every morning new.

I don't add and tell you up mercy. Can you

imagine if God's mercy is not new, demans he's keeping

a score card. You know, he's telling telling telling up,

telling up, adding adding this good. One day he'll slap you.

Is God like that? No, he's saying that his mercies

are new every morning. How many of you can be

so bad that you exhaust this mercy every day? No,

because he loves you, he loves me. Hey, for those

of you that don't know who Jesus is. If there's

any of you here today that does not recognize Jesus

as Lord and say, well, let me tell you alive today,

because He is mercy on you. When the bike hit

me when I was eight years old, I did not

know Jesus. I didn't know who Jesus was. So even

before I knew him, he was showing in mercy. The

Bible says that the mercies of the Lord I knew

every morning. Why, because great is his faithfulness. You and

I we are we are walking, talking, living testimonies of

the mercy of God. So when you say I've got

nothing to share with people, no, you don't get it.

You share with them your life because your life is

the mercy of God in action. Your life is his

pity and his empathy on us in action. Hey, how

many of us here are over the age of sixty

can I see a show? Hence, okay, verse, how many

of us over seventy over seventy one, over eighty one? Okay,

I won't ask ninety ninety okay, nine ninety any one? Yeah,

ninety okay, at least eighty eighty years of God being involved.

Isn't that exciting? Those of you who are young, look

at us who are old. Many many years of God

being involved. This is what you can look forward to,

many years of God being involved. You need God in

being involved in your life. I need God being involved

in my life. God's mercy to us is reflective in

the works of the Cross of Christ John three sixteen.

For God who loved the world that he gave. It's

only because the son who's ever please in him should

not perish but have everlasting life. God's mercy. You know,

we have this. I have this chat group. This is

my my classmates and now my classmates from Larsalle. They're

all over the world, all right, So we have this

chat group and we discuss things. So there is this

one guy. He is in one of the British isles,

all right, and he keeps whacking the apple of God's

eye all the time, whacking wrecking all they so cruel. There,

so there's women, children, Oh, so bad, so bad, so bad.

And then he asked this question, so can you share

with me facts and opinions about this? What do you

think about this? So one of my other classmates, who

happened to have been the top student in the country

in seventy it said, based on opinion, my opinion, which

is based on the fact I've visited the areas I

was with the UNHCR, I was there, I have talked

to people, I have studied, and this is my opinion.

Then this guy says, you know, is your opinion based

on your and he so I decided enough is enough,

It's time to educate. So I wrote there, let me

share with you one more point of view, and this

point of view is the point of view of faith.

So you talk about facts, you talk about opinion, let

me talk to you about faith. And what I'm about

to tell you is straight up illogical to some. So

I'm not going to argue about it. Neither am I

going to defend it. I'm just gonna make the statement

because so many of you it might be illogical. Hey,

truth be told is faith logical? No, it's quite illogical

because you're believing in something you cannot see. So I

told him, let me tell you something. Long ago, God

gave a land to this people, and the Bible said

that true sin and rebellion, that they would lose it

for a time, which they did. But the Bible also

said that at a certain time they will come together

and he would build them again as a nature. I said,

he did, and they did, And I said. The Bible

also prophesied that at some time in the future, Gog

and Magog were come against Israel. Gog and Magog is

actually Russia and Persia. All right, Persia is who those

other crazy guys. Okay, they will come against the apple

of God's eye, aided by the kings of the East,

the red dragon, who's that, Yeah, come against them. And

the Bible said that at this time, when the whole

world is against his people, he will come and defend them.

And he said, and the Bible says, with but a breath,

he will destroy all of the enemies. I said, whether

you and I believe it or not, because I'm going

to share with you something illogical. I'm going to share

with you my faith. My faith is based on what

the Bible says, and therefore, no matter what anybody says

or tries to do, God will defend his people. And

at the time when He comes and he defends them,

every nae shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus

Christ is Lord. But I said this, God loved us

so much he didn't just leave it like that. Say

for anyone who believes the Bible says he will save them.

So I said, that is my belief. It's not logical,

it is quite illogical. But I'm saying right now, under

no circumstances will any act against these people succeed. In

case you do not know, the world is on the

brink of a major outbreak. This is prophesied inscription. So

if you are spending time wondering whether you should give

your life over to Christ, you don't have time. If

you're going to do something, do it now. I keep

telling everybody. If they are people you love who don't

know Christ, do not wait. Go and share with them Jesus.

What's the worst thing that they can tell you. I'm

not interested. It's all right, you can live with that.

But they need to hear. You need to speak, You

need to tell you need to go out and share

with them, just like how fine opportunities, Like how I

find an opportunity to share with my friends. You may

say you're not arguing. Hey, I'm not going to get

into wasteless time arguing with them about points of belief

or not. If you really want to know, ask me

privately and I will tell you. But if you want

to debate it, I got no time. I got no

time with that. But if you really want to know,

I'll spend time sharing with you. So you and I

we got to go out there. We've got to see

those people who need the mercy of the Lord, and

we got to tell them about Jesus. You got that

cousin who doesn't know the Lord. Talk to him. What's

the worst that can happen? He can say, I don't

believe It's all right. You can live with that. But

I always tell me with him, And the Bible says

that if you don't see me around anymore, and you

don't see Christians around anymore, then be aware the Lord

of the second Coming of Jesus is very soon. And

if that happens, this is what you do. At least

you prepare him. They have an opportunity. So to continue

the story, this guy writes, and he says, I'm not

interested in your religious prattle. He called my writing religious

prattle or nonsense. Okay, religious nonsense. The very intelligent classmate

of mine, who was the moderator of the group, said

Terence was sharing with you his belief He said, he

was not going to argue about it. The least we

can do is show him respect, which you have not shown.

I have half the mind to kick you out of

the group. So this guy said, kick me out. I withdraw,

So he pulled out of the group. And then I wrote,

I said, he's very sad that people take this kind

of action, but I will have more respect for someone

if they say they are worried about women and children.

If he had made some comment one year ago when

they were brutalized, murdered and raped. But since the silence

was then there, don't talk about it now. And then

I wrote, my main purpose is to get this guy safe.

I'm not interested to fight with him. I would like

him to be saved, so he we praise the Lord.

These two actually got together in private communication expressed the

apologies to one another for the things they had said.

And promised to be kinder with their words and actions

on the group Praise the Lord. I had an opportunity

to share a word. You see, that's what's going to happen.

Don't be afraid. So why would this God who hates

sins so much be merciful for us to us? Do

you ever realize that God hates sin so much and

with such a sinful people, But he's merciful to us?

And you know what that is? Jesus? When he looks

at you and you have Jesus in your heart, who

does he see the works of the hands of my son.

I am so proud you and I Bible says we're

hidden in Jesus. Hey, isn't that wonderful? Don't you want

somebody else to know? Do you know that mercy triumphs

over judgment in James two thirteen and says for judgment

is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy.

Mercy triumphs over judgment. Because you and I receive mercy,

we have no choice but to show mercy to somebody else.

Do you know that sharing Jesus is showing mercy to

somebody else? You can do whatever you want, thinking that

you are doing the right thing. But if you don't

share Jesus, you have to wonder whether those works that

we do will stand the test of the fire of

the Lord when he tests our works. Because when he

tests our works, what does he want to see remaining Jesus.

There are so many rich people who have given tons

of money to build churches, but I have never once

shared Jesus or talked about him. Do you think that

millions of dollars that they have spent, when it comes

into the test of the fire of the Lord will

stand up. No, because you mean to say God is

not able to make gold appear out of nothing. Of

course he can. So don't for a minute think you

are in a position to outdo God. God is not

doing it, so I'm doing it all Those are the

ones who do it without the love of Jesus in

your heart. But it's so different when you say I

love Jesus. I want more people to be safe. I'm

going to give to the work of the Lord. Why

Because I want people to know about Jesus. Those are

the kind of works that will stand his test. Mercy

triumphs over judgment. Do you know that's why you and I.

As Christians, we forgive mercy. Sometimes UH is forgiving people

even though they do not ask for forgiveness. I can

tell you that I helped someone quite close to me, family,

in fact, to the tune of maybe into six figures.

All right, but this person cheated and I lost so much.

Not only did I lose so much in terms of

monetary value, but I lost so much in terms of

respect of others. But I tell you this, I did

not wait for him to say forgive me. But you

know in my heart, I just forgive. I should mercy.

I did not say, God, judge this person, So do

the work and see who's right and who's wrong. And

today it's like it never happened. Has the person asked

for forgiveness? No, But do I hold it against the person?

No more. I don't. I don't have that little bit

that says this person did me wrong. You know why?

That is mercy. It doesn't depend on whether somebody says sorry,

It doesn't depend on whether somebody is good. You just

don't account for it anymore. God did that for me.

Jesus did that for me. He didn't account for the

things that I'd done against him, and he forgave me

even before I asked, how do you like that? Before

you and I asked Jesus to forgive us of us sins.

The Bible says he forgave That's why he died, and

a cross. He loved us so much. The difference is

we have to appropriate it. We have to receive it.

We have to have faith to take it on. If

we do not take it on, we are the ones

doing it wrong. That's gonna put us on the wrong

side of the fence. You know. The Bible says that

we are all that we are predestined to know Jesus. Oh,

then some of you say, oh, predestination are so unfair

of God. Predestined so that means only he loves some

people and some people he doesn't love. Let me explain

predestination to you in a language you'll nd this. Predestination

means simply this. He wants everybody to be safe. He

is predestined everybody to save. I predestined all of you

to have shoes, but you chose to go barefoot? Is

that my fault? It's not. But how do I know

I've been predestined to go? We choose behind. There's a

cabinet full of choose all the different sizes, shapes, and colors.

But you go to the cabin and say it's not

for me. Does that make my predestination wrong? Does it

make it invalid? No, I've provided, you have chosen not

to take it. Who said for you have followed? I

am a fault. So don't let people put you in

a box when say God is so unfair on this

issue of predestination because they don't understand. God wants all

of us to be safe. It's whether we choose to

receive it or not judgment. God's not in it for judgment.

He's in it for mercy. Hey, if God was not

a merciful god, we would be blue black everywhere we

walk because he would be slapping us around for all

the things wrong that we do. But just thank God

that he's a merciful God. Hey, for those of you've

got children, let me just tell you. If you correct

your child and you're angry when you do it, that's

called vengeance. Not to really call when it's called revenge.

If you correct your child when you're angry, or what

is it called revenge? You want to correct your child?

You have to be clear headed about it, and you

correct your child in love, even if it means you're

killing the child on the backside by it standing love. Why,

I want you to learn that every wrong action has

a consequence. This one you'll recover. Some of the actions

you do wrong you cannot recover from. I need you

to learn no anger involved, only love. That's how God

corrects us. He corrects us as children Matthew nine, p. Thirteen.

But going here, what this means? I desire mercy and

not sacrifice. I remember I told you God is always

out looking for us doing good. He's not out to

catch us doing wrong. For I did not come to

call righteous but sinners to repentance. Hey, what does he

want to do? He wants to catch you doing right.

He desires mercy. Mercy is on God's heart. Why does

he want us to God and share with the unbeliever

because mercy is on God's heart. Yeah, we are encouraged

to be merciful as God is masciful. In Collisions three Tribe,

it says, therefore, as the elect of God, Holy and Beloved,

put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering. Wow,

that's the new king James version, as the elect of God,

holy and beloved, put on tender mercies. Do you know

that that is the first thing stated? Let me read

it to you. In the King James version, it makes

a little bit more sense. Put on therefore, as the

elect of God. So as you are, who's the elect

of God? You who believe, as the ones who believe,

holy and beloved? Why we holy because Jesus forgave us

and he washed us in the way. So now we

are holy before the Lord, and we are loved for

God to love the world that he gave his only

be good son. And whosoever believes. So when we believe,

what are we? We are the love of God God.

We're the beloved of God. This is what it says,

Bye of mercy. Do you need that before kindness and

humbleness and humbleness of mind or meekness or long long suffering?

Bowels of mercy? What does this mean? Bowels of mercy? Okay,

it comes from the word shplut none. Okay, it sounds

like cling on, but it's not. It's not cling on.

It's not from Star Trek. It's plot none. It's the

inward parts. It's the heart, the emotion, the deepest parts

of you, the one that you cannot quite put a

finger on, but makes you who you are. That's the

one that God is saying, be that have mercy in

that part of you, the very real you have mercy inside.

It means you know your affection, your heart. Hey, it

even means your intestines, that all the inside. That's what

God desires, even before everything else, because He had mercy

on us first. You know, you get what you give.

Matthew five seven is says blessed the merciful, for they

shall obtain mercy. This is a godly principle and good

to live by. Hey, we want God's mercy each and

every day of lives because this is a very merciless earth.

The world is merciless. It's on the brink of terror,

which is prophet prophesied in scripture. But you and I

will be okay, Why because God is merciful. Judge none,

and you should not be judge, condemned not, and you

should not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven.

You get what you give, You get what you give.

Having understand all of this and how mercy is to

be a part of you, that is indistinguishable from you.

It is to be a very real part of you.

And if you are the sort of person that finds

it hard to forgive, do you know that forgiveness is

when people ask it forgive You forgive that kind of thing.

But when you can forgive even without being asked, that

is mercy. That is mercy. So I'm going to end

with this. Matthew nineteen twenty says, go therefore, make disciples

of all nations, baptizing them the name of the Father

and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them

to observe all things that I've commanded to you, and

who I'm with you even until the end of the age.

Do you know that the Great Commission is number one,

first and foremost an act of mercy. It's an act

of mercy. Go therefore, you know him, share that mercy

with somebody else. It's an opportunity to do for others

as God has done for you. It's an opportunity for

God to do for us as we have done for others.

It's an exhibition of a changed in a man that

God is searching for. And do you know what, It's

a way for us to be like our father a

chip off the old block. And I'll end with this.

In Luke six twenty six, it says, therefore, so now,

after everything, after all things, as the conclusion, therefore be merciful,

just as your father also is merciful. What a great

way to live. If your children can see you living

a life of giving mercy to others, you will impact

them in such a great way. Many years ago, so

I have to end with this story. Many years ago,

I was about fifteen years old, forteen years or fifteen

years old, and I was living in Jala Ladda here

Jaala Laddam, number twenty one. Now that's a huge house,

but before that was a huge house with a badminton court.

And there's a French window. French windows sort of a

combination between a door and a window, so you can

sit on it, you can look outside, you can I'm

over it, you know. It's really the chill place. Everybody

loved that, okay. And we were seated down in the

hall and my father looked out and there was this

old man struggling to walk and he was walking on

the road. He was a bigger my father. That this

one had an impact on my life. My father got

up from his seat, went out to that man, put

his arm around that man and helped him into our

house and seated him at the head of our dining

table and told my mom to prepare food for him.

My mom came out with food served on the same

plates that we ourselves eat and gave him drink from

the same glasses that we are self use, not disposables. Okay,

the man was not clean by anyway in a sense

that you know, how would you expect a bigger to be?

And after feeding him, my father gave him money and

held him and walked him up. Wow, I had that,

you know. Could my dad do that all the time?

He probably was because he was part of an organization

that was feeding many poor people, but very few people

would actually do something like that. And I saw that

and had an impact on me. That was mercy. That

was going a step that most people would not take.

And you know what, I believe that is why the

Lord constantly blessed my father, Because my father was generous

and the Lord constantly blessed him. Guys, it's a good

way to live a life of mercy.
