  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. I'm just gonna go straight into the word, and I

  4. pray that this word will encourage you.

  5. And you're writing notes.

  6. The title of the word is don't carry your baggages

  7. to twenty twenty five? Okay, And if you're a bit

  8. more spiritual, you can write there are we resting in

  9. Jesus Christ?

  10. Okay. So it's eighth of December.

  11. Okay, that's like another three more weeks to the new

  12. year twenty twenty five. How are you guys doing so far? Okay, Okay,

  13. I'm not sure.

  14. Some worried well less than one month to go.

  15. You know, every time you start a new year, right,

  16. they will always say like, oh, you know what your

  17. new year resolution?

  18. What do you want to achieve? You know, what's your

  19. new goals? You know?

  20. And then you reflect on last year and you think, wow,

  21. is it going to be the same, And then you

  22. look at like, I mean, I don't know whether any

  23. of you got lack. Okay, some people will do, some

  24. people won't. Some of us here, we're too busy, we

  25. don't even border, you know. Four twenty five no difference, right,

  26. or we're still pursuing what we are pursuing, and sometimes

  27. there's no time to breathe.

  28. But I guess I've learned.

  29. I mean, through my years of being alive, I've learned

  30. a few things that are good practicers are And one

  31. of the good practices I feel is reflecting.

  32. You know, And when you.

  33. Talk about reflection, basically you are taking a pause to

  34. think about things, you know, taking a pause to consider.

  35. And I just want to encourage us to maybe take

  36. a pause. You know.

  37. Maybe we're in a busy season, stressful season, whatever season

  38. we're in, maybe you're in a very free season reflecting

  39. all this world. It's okay, you can still continue reflect

  40. but I just want to encourage us here at church

  41. that can we take some time to take stock of

  42. our lives and to adjust.

  43. You know.

  44. The thing about life is that I believe everyone here

  45. you want to succeed. Amen, You want to succeed, whether

  46. it's in life, what they is in business, whether it's relationships,

  47. what is in your family.

  48. Always want to do well. One.

  49. There's nobody here that aim and their goal is to

  50. fail one nobody right. If they are, then I worry

  51. for them. Uh, you know, nobody here wants to fail.

  52. Everybody wants to succeed. Everybody wants to do well. Everybody

  53. wants to raise good kids. Everybody wants to have good businesses.

  54. Everybody wants to be rich. Only John. Only John wants

  55. to be reach. Everyone else don't want to be rich.

  56. It's okay, Yeah, everybody likes just you guys awake, Good morning,

  57. everybody morning. I think the worship was so awesome just

  58. now that everybody's like resting.

  59. Really. Uh, you know, everybody wants to succeed.

  60. And sometimes if you're not careful when we pursue something

  61. or when we go forward, even even the world right

  62. when you go for those like what smart goals or

  63. those like you know, a business conference, sales comfort, whatever

  64. conferences are, and they will say, you know, you've got

  65. a target and a goal, and you go and you

  66. must make sure you have time to review, time to

  67. feed back, time to do the brief, time to adjust

  68. a little bit.

  69. And I realized that adjustment is actually quite important.

  70. Of course, some people the way they adjust is they

  71. just throw everything you know and change everything you know

  72. because they're not happy. Then it come to a place

  73. where they're like, oh, you know, let me let me just,

  74. let me just change everything, let me just my great

  75. solve all my problems. I just my great and then

  76. everything resolved, not necessarily our friends, uh, you know, uh,

  77. and I realized that, you know, it's actually important for

  78. us to just text some time, to text stock and

  79. to adjust if you need to. Okay, So can we

  80. reflect a little bit on how things have been in

  81. the past year. How has it been for you in

  82. the past year? Has it been good? And can we

  83. just take some time to think if we can make

  84. better decisions coming this year, Because at the end of

  85. the day, if we make good decisions, then we will

  86. be able to progress. But if we don't make good decisions,

  87. then we are going to go into another pathway.

  88. You know, all of us here on a path, whether

  89. we realize or not.

  90. Whether you feel like, oh, no, you know, my life

  91. is dictated some of your uh you know, kids or whatever.

  92. You're like, oh, my life is dictated. Maybe when you're young,

  93. no choice, like, ok, you have to follow, right, have

  94. to follow whatever your parents bring you. But the older

  95. you get, the more responsibility you have, the more you

  96. realize or more if you didn't realize that Actually, you

  97. can do whatever you want. Nobody's forcing you to be here, right,

  98. nobody's forcing you to hear, So don't don't, don't. Don't

  99. live as though you're being forced to be here. No,

  100. you're here because it's your choice. You're here because it

  101. is your choice. You're volition where you are at in

  102. your life. It is your choice. Oh no, no, no,

  103. I'm forced to be here because my no friends is

  104. your choice. Because if you choose to not be here,

  105. you cannot be here. If you choose to change your job,

  106. you can. If you choose to you know, God forbid.

  107. Some people they actually want change our family, and they do.

  108. I'm not saying you should okay, because that's not bi

  109. bigger right, And it's actually important to text Stock, you

  110. know why, because when if let's say, we continue walking

  111. a path and we don't take stock, the danger is

  112. you will reach a place you don't want to be,

  113. and then we start making drastic decisions because your low

  114. right make sense, not your low because we didn't adjust

  115. in the beginning, and then we start making drastic decisions. So, friends,

  116. do you realize or well not, do you realize?

  117. You know?

  118. Throughout twenty twenty four right, we might be carrying things

  119. with us that we shouldn't carry.

  120. You know that you could do that could happen to you.

  121. Okay, we could be carrying things with us that we

  122. shouldn't carry, right, A lot of things, a lot of

  123. things that we could be carrying right with us as

  124. we walk twenty twenty four, there are a lot of

  125. things that we could be carrying with us, and a

  126. lot of us. Right, we have baggage just la. You know,

  127. it's a figure out speach and also literal. It is

  128. bags very heavy, you know, pass see when you're that's

  129. not how heavy this vegas or very heavior my raid

  130. bag Okay, I know John quite strong, enjoy untry.

  131. Huh.

  132. Look at my baggage, my proud, wonderful, rate looking, shiny baggage,

  133. very heavy baggage that I've been carrying with me for

  134. the whole year of twenty twenty four. And you know

  135. in life, right, we can be carrying a heavy baggage

  136. with us, some of us.

  137. See, we could be carrying it.

  138. I could be carrying it like this, and it's really

  139. don't it's quite obviously it's quite heavy, right, because it's

  140. difficult for me to walk imagine walking life like this tough, right,

  141. Imagine doing work like this, Oh my goodness, imagine thinking

  142. of your taking care of your kids this eric Ken

  143. or not? You have to carry Chroe and the carry

  144. one more dangerous.

  145. Right. But a lot of us have a very heavy

  146. baggage with us. Some of us don't. I realize.

  147. If I say, hey, want you so bordo, why don't

  148. you just roll it? The bag is meant to be rolled.

  149. See now we coupled a bit harder to roll, but

  150. can okay, like easier like easier, easier to roll than carry.

  151. But that's the problem.

  152. We get used to our baggage, We get used to

  153. bringing it along nineteen eighty two, it's the year I

  154. was born, nineteen ninety.

  155. Two thousand, two thousand and five, twenty ten.

  156. Or I gets here and heavior, why because I keep

  157. adding things to this bag. I'm not showing you, la,

  158. but I keep adding things. Can I have to slide

  159. the twenty twenty four twenty twenty five slide. What I

  160. want to encourage us this morning is that as we

  161. walk into twenty twenty four as sorry as we want

  162. into twenty twenty five, from twenty thirty four, don't bring

  163. the bag along because this back ways us down. This

  164. back ways us down. It's a rare heavy bag, right,

  165. you want.

  166. To see how he it is? Back is? See? Everybody's

  167. curious now how heavy the bag is? Very heavy bag? Right?

  168. I know, I know Joe goes to the gym or so,

  169. so I think she can lift it. Just now, can

  170. I a bit?

  171. Lah? Just now? At extra quil sound?

  172. The girls cannot even lift it, Joshua, Joseph, just come,

  173. Joseph try he also athlete?

  174. Uh, don't don't die your a cl you need it.

  175. Okay, very heavy back, isn't you see when we can

  176. see the bagger? Everybody's like, pace, what are you doing?

  177. We're so foolish? Let it go, don't hold it. But

  178. a lot of thanks what I said, A lot of

  179. us here are used to our back. In fact, huh,

  180. well this back looks good now, red and nice and shiny.

  181. Wouldn't any of you want this back? Are you guys

  182. curious what's in the back? Dumb bells?

  183. Now?

  184. Are you curious what's in the back? I need someone

  185. to help me. Let me pick someone, or before that,

  186. let me go to the scripture first. Then we'll do

  187. the illustration some of us here, A lot of things

  188. in the back right doesn't benefit us, but we're taking

  189. it along with us. And if you're honest with ourselves

  190. and we take responsibility of our own actions, remember I said,

  191. it is our choice. And if let's say, you come

  192. to a place to say no, God is the one,

  193. then you better follow God sailah, because whatever God wants

  194. for you is good, even though you don't like it.

  195. At the point it is my time. Don't complain. I

  196. mean you can complain to your hated leader or whatever.

  197. You know. I do it all the time.

  198. I always tell the elder god win your law, because

  199. he put me in this place again, to trust him again,

  200. to relarn him again, to give me a testimony again, but.

  201. Paying for right.

  202. And if we think of our lives in terms of stewardship, no,

  203. that's the thing about men. We want to be in control.

  204. We want to be in charge, we want to be

  205. the one that is great. You know I planted the

  206. church I grew. You know, it's very honoring to hear

  207. or being very involved. But to be really honest, right,

  208. I take no glory in helping expell grow.

  209. It is all the.

  210. Right in fact I got joke like if you know

  211. the real story, right, I wanted to run away from

  212. BJ That's why I want the plant next bu, but

  213. go ahead other plans. That's simesill stuck there. But if

  214. we think of our lives in terms of stewardship, God,

  215. you are in charge. I'm managing my life. How are

  216. we doing? What should we do?

  217. If we are heavy laden and stressed?

  218. And imagine you are pursuing your degree, You're pursuing your work,

  219. you're pursuing your fami, You're trying to be successful.

  220. But there is a heavy weight.

  221. Anybody want to run full marathon with this? Anybody look

  222. at you, be like, why are you so smart one?

  223. Why are you carrying this burden? Why are we all

  224. carrying this burden?

  225. Waders? So what do we need to do? Friends?

  226. Well, we need to have a come to Jesus moment,

  227. Come to Jesus. Why, Well, let me give you a

  228. scripture first and then let me show you something. Okay,

  229. Matthew eleven twenty five to three, let's read that, are

  230. you guys?

  231. Okay?

  232. This is why you need to bring your bibles because

  233. if one day the screen don't work on.

  234. Then you have to rely on your memory, it says here.

  235. At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, Father,

  236. Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these

  237. things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them

  238. to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seems good

  239. in your sight. All things have been delivered to me

  240. by my father. And no one knows the son except

  241. the father. Nor does anyone know the father except the

  242. son and the one and the one whom the son

  243. wills to reveal him. Come to me, all you who

  244. labor and I havevy laden, and I will give you rest.

  245. Take my yoke upon you learn from me. And I'm

  246. gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest

  247. in your souls. For my Yoki is eavy and easy,

  248. and my brother in his life. So, friends, we need

  249. to go to him. We need to go to him.

  250. But it's a choice, you know, passus Steven, Maybe you

  251. can help me. Who should be Jesus in bee to

  252. help me? Who can be Jesus?

  253. Here? Just name someone? I need someone to help me.

  254. Yeah, yeah hoo, Nana, come come, okay, come kill correct now,

  255. Jesus is like Middle Eastern, so can so imagine he's

  256. Jesus are a really cool looking Jesus are Okay, you

  257. stay here? So so what do we do when we

  258. got hey Burton, go to Jesus and pass him Alburdon.

  259. Come, you want to.

  260. See us in the back, right, let's see us in

  261. the back. Yeah, come, Jesus, help me with the back.

  262. Help me?

  263. Okay, one by one now, don't don't take all the

  264. weight now, I might you know, get very stressed out.

  265. Oh what's in the back. Let's see? Wow, worry, worry? Hey,

  266. I worry, worry. You might wanna.

  267. I don't think you're better carry thing Jesus. What she's

  268. standing there?

  269. Me passes to you? Okay, I passed my worries to Jesus.

  270. What else? Anger? I got share? Many times? Got anger? Problem? Right?

  271. Pass it? Actually? You know what?

  272. I want to keep it? Do you not this that

  273. he didn't force it? He didn't force really take my

  274. anger away? Do you realize that I have to pass

  275. in my disappointments. I have to pass it to him.

  276. I have to pass him my hurt?

  277. How many of us carrying her for many.

  278. Years, still carrying her steal that auntie hur Yo cut

  279. me and.

  280. I ah and God Jesus loves you at the back

  281. of the cart, somemore. I want to keep it. I

  282. want to keep it, give it to Christ. How many

  283. of us have addictions? Do you know that?

  284. TikTok this addition? I'm thinking twice. Wow, design is a

  285. big one. Offenses. The greatest defense is offense, right, Johanna,

  286. he should introduced me just now x X big feels

  287. right when they introduced me the road there, but say

  288. we used to write songs and be in a band.

  289. I'm like, Wow, that's the history that long time good.

  290. But John didn't introduce me.

  291. Huh. White people don't know offenses. I thought a photo

  292. of this slightly.

  293. I'm like, oh, my goodness, fear, what's gonna happen now?

  294. Four? Oh? No?

  295. I got no money now, my father in the hospital,

  296. my wife's looking for a job. I'm full time. God,

  297. let me keep my fear. Bad habits weighing as down.

  298. I want to, I want to, I want to, but

  299. I donola what else is wearing down?

  300. Pride?

  301. Can I speak to the men? Men, you gotta be careful.

  302. It is women most of the time don't have this issue.

  303. But we got pride.

  304. No, you know the way I build XBU. Let me

  305. show all the other church plans. How awesome XBU is

  306. meeting in the most expensive hotel right, having awesome people

  307. all dressed pride? Do you know that pride can also

  308. happen in ministry? Who's who?

  309. Who? Who? Who's the greater pastor, who's the greater leader?

  310. Who does? What? Is it God or us? Pride? No?

  311. I build the business.

  312. I'm a self made man, John, I'm a self made man.

  313. Look at my family, awesome family. I built it from

  314. scratch because I invested me, me, me pride. Okay, let's

  315. keep this to again, fear and anger. I keep both.

  316. Is he wise to keep extra weights? But Jesus, I

  317. want to keep this.

  318. What did Jesus say, Hello, brother, you've got rescripture and

  319. not Jesus say come to me all your here laden.

  320. No, but that's the wonderful, wonderful thing about God. No,

  321. I realize God's not going to force you.

  322. Think about it. If God forced me.

  323. Okay, let's say you force me to force me, force

  324. me to take this away? Come bro, you're supposed to

  325. Let's say no, no, no, take it right? Don't you

  326. think I will fight God and take it back. Don't

  327. you think if God for no, God, why don't you

  328. fortuately take my anger away, fortuately take my my unforgiveness away.

  329. We will fight back. We've got to take it back.

  330. So no point God force you. So I think, Oh God,

  331. you're all powerful. Just make it happen now, But you

  332. see the problem making it happen. We will end up

  333. in the same place again because this is something we

  334. cannot give up. It has to be given, don't Okay,

  335. you need to be a better Jesus by the case,

  336. thanks so much. Sure it passed to Jesus. Ready you

  337. put it in, you can put it on.

  338. So now the bag is empty. Guys, the bag is empty.

  339. Doesn't help me? Help me this Jesus is h I'm

  340. in the clouds, ok can help me? Okay? Yeah? You

  341. standing here first? Son? Wow, isn't it light? Now? Busses here?

  342. Light right the back? Oh? Good? Isn't it a good idea?

  343. Is it light? Light? Light? Come check? Like? I want

  344. to test one test you one test? It's light right?

  345. Makes sense? Right, it's light right? I got no more

  346. on my burdens, I got no more everything? Well, how awesome?

  347. Then now I can carry this back, and I can

  348. take this back. Can I have the year again? Can

  349. I take this back right? From two thousand and four

  350. to Yeay, I got a I got a light back.

  351. I can do whatever you want right now, Eric, you

  352. can carry your daughter and carry the back. Because it's like,

  353. isn't it a good idea? Do you know that Somemer

  354. are still keeping our luggage. We have given up our burdens,

  355. but we are still holding clothes, our luggage.

  356. You know what's going to happen.

  357. We give everything to Jesus to day right, and then

  358. Jesus go back, go back, just go back, Okay, just happy,

  359. just go back. And then twenty five comes and now

  360. I'm like, ah, something happened. Ah, oh no, something bad happens.

  361. Is not here anymore because I given it to him

  362. in December because it is Christmas. I went to church.

  363. Oh no, something bad happened. How am I going to survive?

  364. Now?

  365. I got another financial crisis?

  366. Yo? Pass this even? Why go and do that? Man?

  367. I work so hard. I'm the man of the ministry.

  368. You know what, God, I did everything for you, right,

  369. let me do this one thing for myself.

  370. I can't believe. Sharon said, that to me. See, I'm

  371. using the names of the people that I know want

  372. do it.

  373. Oh man, the market is crashing. What's gonna happen all

  374. my investments? Oh, I need to relieve myself because I'm

  375. so stressed up. See John again, never introduce me properly again.

  376. Hi.

  377. Oh, I'm so disappointed everybody. Everybody has disappointed me. I

  378. tried so hard to be a good person, but.

  379. Everybody has disappointed me. And then you're back to square one?

  380. What should we do? Not just the waits? Friends, get

  381. right off the bag. You got no back. You cannot

  382. put anything inside. If you give the back to Jesus,

  383. I got no back to put my hearts inside.

  384. Even better, if I constantly walk with Jesus every time

  385. there's a way. Just now, you notice he during Christmas,

  386. I come church, I give you all the burdens, Oh Lord,

  387. change my whole life. I keep the back, and then

  388. throughout the year I walk, I get hurt. Hey, friends,

  389. all this weight now will keep happening to you. And

  390. know if we didn't know you think what after become Christian?

  391. Everything is speech? No oh no said, we need to

  392. be stronger as Christian.

  393. Try so when you to carry the weight.

  394. No, all you who are heavy laden, take my yoke

  395. upon you and cast your budeness on me.

  396. Custard Ready, don't you think that? Now? Without the bag,

  397. without the words, it's easier for me to do things.

  398. It's easier when I don't have unforgiveness, when I don't

  399. have offenses.

  400. Where do I have heard?

  401. It's easier for me to minister. It's easier for me

  402. to do all these things. Don't you think so?

  403. So? Friends? We got to let go of all those things?

  404. Why Jesus? Why of all? No?

  405. Why not self care? Why not spa? Why not shopping spree?

  406. Why not let's eat food? No, let's eat, let's eat,

  407. let's eat? Why not all these things? Copying mechanisms, paselving,

  408. that's what I learned.

  409. Why not all this? Why Jesus? Well, let's go to

  410. the Bible. Okay.

  411. First point, Jesus is our prince of peace. Isaiah nine

  412. says six nine. Chapter nine, Verse six says, for unto

  413. us a child is born, unto us, his son is given,

  414. and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his

  415. name will be called wonderful counselor Mighty God, everlasting Father,

  416. and Prince of peace. What does Jesus bring to us? Prince,

  417. have you ever thought about it before? What does he bring?

  418. Or I have to become Christian? I got Christian name. Now, No,

  419. he doesn't just bring us a Christian name. He doesn't

  420. just bring us across. He doesn't just bring us a

  421. holiday that we can enjoy. There we get gifts, and

  422. then on Easter we get chicks. You know, last time

  423. in my church, I don't know whether you grew up

  424. they give you chicks. Don't know why chicken chicks? No, not, no,

  425. other chicks are don't see me think, hey we got kids.

  426. Here, guys, chill.

  427. Jesus brings us God's presence. How God's presence true? The

  428. Holy Spirit?

  429. Why? Because God duels in us. It's all scriptural line.

  430. You can go ahead and in fact check me if

  431. you want God duels in us true the Holy Spirit?

  432. Because I just said I will go to the Father.

  433. You accept me, you become my followers. I will go

  434. to the Father and I will send a helper. And

  435. the Holy Spirit is here with us. He resides in

  436. our hearts. And what is the Holy Spirit God's presence?

  437. So God's presence true? The Holy Spirit he dwells in

  438. us true the Holy Spirit. And what does God's presence bring?

  439. Some of you might have experienced all these things, but

  440. you don't fully understand. Hopefully today you have understanding God's

  441. presence bring joy and peace. Half past selven. I'm not

  442. so happy. Well, I don't like to use to what happiness.

  443. Let me explain a little bit about joy. Psalm sixteen

  444. eleven says, you will show me the path of life

  445. in your presence is fullness of joy.

  446. See God's presence bring us joy and peace.

  447. Right in your right hand our pleasures for emmore, the

  448. Lord will give strength to his people.

  449. The Lord will bless his people with peace.

  450. Psalms twenty nine eleven Nihi Maya eight ten says then

  451. he said to them, go your way in the fat,

  452. drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom

  453. nothing is prepared for This day is holy to our Lord.

  454. Do not sorrow, for the joy of.

  455. The lot is your See we say, joy of the

  456. Lord is your strength.

  457. Right, but we fully understand that.

  458. Let me give you a bit of an understanding about joy.

  459. And why is the joy of the lot of strength?

  460. Why not happiness?

  461. Right?

  462. Why not the pursuit of happiness. It's a movie, right,

  463. pursure of happiness. Have you seen someone or maybe your

  464. self experienced this? You have all purpose in your heart,

  465. all joy in your heart. But then the situation is difficult.

  466. You're still doing the world.

  467. Have you seen that?

  468. Let me give you an example. It got a lot

  469. of parents here. Your child brings a lot of joy, right, correct,

  470. also brings a lot of pain, right, but you're still joyful. Right,

  471. You're still strong?

  472. Right? Do you? Ah, don't bring happiness to my life?

  473. I give oela. Are you gonna do that? So you

  474. feel like doing that? Now? Why is the job a

  475. lot of strength?

  476. Because when we have joy, when we have purpose in

  477. our life, when we have true purpose in our life,

  478. when you have purpose in your job. Let's use your

  479. job as an example. If you have a job that

  480. is purposeful, how many of you here know that job?

  481. Not every time is daisies and sunshine and rainbows on.

  482. There will be days where it's difficult, correct, But if

  483. you're in a job that you enjoy even in the

  484. hard times, you will do it. Even in the hard times,

  485. you will enjoy it. You're not going to give up.

  486. But if you're in a job that you don't enjoy. Bye, guys, Corona.

  487. Let me give you this perspective about weakness and strength.

  488. Have you met someone who is depressed, tired, right, angry? Said?

  489. What do they want to do? Most of the time? Sleep,

  490. stay at home, don't want to do anything? Are they strong?

  491. No? Do they want to do anything? No?

  492. They are weak. We're not talking about the ability or

  493. the strength. No, we're talking about the condition of the heart.

  494. When someone is in a down place, offended and all.

  495. Let me use church as an example. Oh, you know

  496. the church are offended. Me won't do anything for church anymody.

  497. But if someone has purpose and said, you know what, Lord,

  498. I know that I'm dealing with people and no matter

  499. where I go, it's not gonna be perfect, it's gonna

  500. be tough. I know the purpose and I still find

  501. joy in the ministry I'm in. Do you know how

  502. difficult the church will be? And how sorry church not difficult?

  503. People are dificult, How difficult people will be where people

  504. spin on you, people don't care about you, people you

  505. know don't appreciate you, and essay, thank you, You're still

  506. going to do it because the jaw of the Lord

  507. is your strength.

  508. You see that? Not do you understand that? Now?

  509. Do you understand how important is it for us to

  510. appeace and enjoy in our lives, Because when you have

  511. no joy in your family, you're not going to continue.

  512. There's how people want to change. But when there's joy

  513. in the family. But can I give you another perspective?

  514. Joy and peace are doesn't come from outside, It comes

  515. from insight. You know, I don't like happiness. People define

  516. happiness as this everything outside happening according to what I want,

  517. Then I happy. But do you know that the Bible

  518. teaches us different things. For the joy of the Lord

  519. is your strength, and you are peace. We all know

  520. that in life it will not be perfect. But you

  521. have joy and peace in your life, and you find

  522. purpose in what you do through the darkest days, through the.

  523. Stormiest nights, through the most difficult time. You are still dead.

  524. Your cash there, not your cash there.

  525. Some you hear you have made those sacrifices, but you

  526. know the purpose because when you look at your child,

  527. it is beyond the stress. You're still gonna do it

  528. with a smile on your face. And of course with

  529. Jesus is easier. With Jesus is easier. But when he

  530. is not there, we're heart.

  531. Trust me.

  532. If he's not there, it's gonna be we hat because

  533. who are you relying on? But we who rely on

  534. Christ we have joy and we have peace because Luke

  535. twelve two four things says glory to God in the

  536. highest on earth, peace, good will to admit. Okay, let

  537. me talk a little bit about peace. I'm not sure

  538. whether or not you are familiar with other beliefs and all,

  539. but so far only in Christians are only people who

  540. believe in Jesus. Right, we talk about peace a lot.

  541. We talk about having peace of God. We talk about

  542. when we make a decision, we have peace. Have you

  543. heard of testimony said before the person, in logical fact,

  544. go A or go be A. Pay more money but

  545. no peace, be pay less money, a lot of peace.

  546. I choose B. Don't make sense.

  547. But then when they go be although don't pay a

  548. lot of money. According to my checkbook, the person is joyful,

  549. the person is enjoying life. The person is doing all

  550. carding where else. Then later on you find out if

  551. I went to A and I get a lot of money,

  552. Oh my goodness, it's going to be like hell on

  553. earth see.

  554. Only Christians understand that why because we.

  555. Have God's presence, God's presence being peace, And if we

  556. continue to make a decision out of God's presence, We're

  557. not going to experience peace. That is our guiding life.

  558. Right makes sense? Not how many of you had experienced

  559. peace before? How many you when you want to make

  560. a decision, it don't It don't make sense that you

  561. don't make sense. One you know, it don't make sense

  562. because it only makes sense if God is guiding you.

  563. If you use your brain, it won't make sense. If

  564. you use the loss of the land, it's not going

  565. to make sense. I think I've shared before. As believer us,

  566. we've got to decide wish Lord. We follow God's law

  567. his scriptures, is word or the world's law. We have

  568. to decide. You have to decide which one you think

  569. you know will benefit you more. And do you know

  570. that God's laws don't make sense to the world. They

  571. will never understand, They will never understand. But those who

  572. follow God, those who follow Christ, those who read the Word,

  573. you understand. And when we reach out to people and

  574. when we talk to people, and when we share with people,

  575. and when they finally receive, Then their eyes will be

  576. open and they will understand. I used to not understand

  577. that scripture, that their ears will be open to hear

  578. and their eyes will be open to see by side

  579. what we've God.

  580. I realized God has.

  581. Revealed to us, those of us who follow God, those

  582. of us who follow Christ. We things have been revealed

  583. to us that other people who do not follow God

  584. don't see. So how you try to convince them? How

  585. do you try to reason with them? They will never

  586. understand until they receive Christ in the lives. Then their

  587. eyes will be open and their ears were here. You're

  588. catching something and not today, I hope you are. Jesus

  589. called us to be peace makers. So why leave the baggage?

  590. Why am I encouraging you leave the baggage?

  591. Friends?

  592. Some of us here and I say, someone's cost me

  593. or so I'm dealing with some things in my life.

  594. We've been carrying hurt now for years. You know.

  595. It's about time we let it Gola spread ty ring.

  596. You know it's hard to run a raser when you

  597. got away next to you give it.

  598. To the lord, surrendering to the Lord.

  599. Don't keep the back of so give the back, give

  600. everything Lord, you take everything I don't want ready, right,

  601. I want to experience your peace.

  602. In my life. I want to experience you in my life.

  603. I want to experience your joy that will give me

  604. strength when times are heart When do you need strength

  605. when times are heart Now you don't kind of don't

  606. need strength when things go really well.

  607. You only need extra.

  608. Strength when times are heart So the job of the

  609. Lord will come and then you will have strength to

  610. move on, to carry on, to wake up, to still

  611. go through the day even though times are hard. Jesus

  612. called us to be peace makers. Why peace makers, Well,

  613. because he's the Prince of peace. He's asking us to

  614. carry on his legacy on bringing peace on this earth.

  615. I have come to a place in my life and

  616. I realized I get really irritated with this, that I'm

  617. really tired of conflict because throughout my whole childhood I've

  618. experienced a verse that I mean, there's a term psychology.

  619. What I mean.

  620. It's not that bad, Okay, I think it's not anyway

  621. a verse childhood. Okay, So I just have enough drama

  622. in my life when I'm younger, when I'm older, I

  623. don't want drama. Sometimes it can be a bit counter

  624. because then you become a verse to conflict, which is

  625. not good, because conflict is okay, you just need to

  626. resolve it, and you need to teach I need to

  627. teach my kids how to manage conflict.

  628. I cannot just avoid conflict, right.

  629. But I've also come to a place where if the

  630. conflict is unnecessary, right, I'm like, I just don't want it.

  631. I'm like, you know, you're not John. You've been like

  632. you've been.

  633. Okay, it's okay, don't have to introduce me. I'm joking

  634. doing to introduce me as a person who is in

  635. a band. Okay, I'm fine, I'm fine, it's not important.

  636. Right.

  637. And I realized one thing that Jesus, there are a lot

  638. of people in this world got no peace. They got everything,

  639. they got money, they got you know. Actually, I've heard

  640. somewhere the richer you are, the most stress you will become.

  641. I don't know whether it's true or not, but they

  642. got no peace. A lot of people got no peace

  643. in their lives. What we called to do, friends metthew

  644. five nine says, blessed are the peacemakers, because they will

  645. be called.

  646. Sons of God.

  647. So we are called to be a peacemaker. Do you

  648. know that you cannot be a peacemaker if you've got

  649. no peace in your life. If you got at drama

  650. in your life, right, you're gonna go and create more drama.

  651. He has to come out somewhere on. But if you

  652. if you give to Jesus or your drum, and you

  653. you are able to at peace in your life, then

  654. wherever you go are is zen One's peace one. It's

  655. not a good word to use. But you guys can't

  656. get what I mean right? And you cannot figure it on?

  657. You cannot you have a sayer, It's very obvious one.

  658. When people are with you, are they at peace or

  659. they more stress?

  660. You know?

  661. I know sometimes my stuff with me there more stress.

  662. Maybe I should be a more better peacemaker. How do

  663. we become a peacemaker? Well, we do it true forgiveness,

  664. true love, and through sharing the good news. That's how

  665. we become peacemakers, right, making disciples and pointing them to

  666. Jesus because we receive peace from Christ. Why we so

  667. edmant about damant it's not the right nice word. I

  668. don't know my means, my behavioral I keep using all

  669. these strong words on. My wife always correct me on

  670. why are you so passionate about preaching the gospel, Not

  671. just because you want to fill up the church with people. No,

  672. we want people to experience peace. Right, when do you

  673. guys come church? Because for some of you you may

  674. not fully understand it by your experience peace when you're here,

  675. no drama, nobody judge you.

  676. Right, you experience peace. But when we go out there

  677. or no peace?

  678. But do you know they're supposed to bring the peace

  679. to experience here out there, You're supposed to bring the

  680. Jesus that.

  681. You have out there. Jesus not just on this in

  682. this chest. No. Right, God's presence not just here.

  683. And you know when pusses even bring up the No,

  684. God's presence is in each and every one of you,

  685. because your body is a temple. See, it's all scriptural, friends,

  686. it's all scriptural. Isaiah nine two says the people who

  687. want in darkness have seen a light. You guys have

  688. seen a light. Those who dwelt in the land of

  689. the shadow of death upon them, a light has shined.

  690. The message of peace and the message of hope is

  691. the message we carry and the message we live out.

  692. How do you solve problems in your office? How do

  693. you solve you know, conflict? Peace first, not issue first,

  694. not I'm right first, not justice.

  695. First, No peace first.

  696. Do you know that it's easier to resolve conflict when

  697. everybody is come, but when everybody's like you know, very hard?

  698. So peace first.

  699. See, even God knows no peace first. You guys who

  700. know the scripture?

  701. How pass alvin well?

  702. For God so loved the world that he gave his

  703. only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not

  704. perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send

  705. his son into the world to condemn the world, but

  706. that the world true him might be saved. I wonder

  707. if this scripture holds new meaning now, since we know

  708. what we know now. Matthew twenty eighth, nineteen twenty, Go

  709. there for make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in

  710. the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit,

  711. teaching them to observe all things I've commanded you and law,

  712. and with you always even to the end of the age. Amen,

  713. we receive Jesus as our personal lind Savior. We receive

  714. God's presence, We receive peace, we receive joy that helps

  715. us through difficult times. And then we make disciples. We

  716. teach people, Hey, this is how you follow God. Hey,

  717. this is how you tap into God's priends. Hey, this

  718. is what you do. We make disciples, and God will

  719. do his work in our lives. God will give us

  720. more revelation. The more we read the Word, the more

  721. we feel our minds, you know, and the more we,

  722. you know, consume the stuff.

  723. Of God, we will grow. Amen.

  724. So, friends, this my encoagement. Don't carry your baggage to

  725. twenty twenty five, give it to Jesus. Okay, time to

  726. leave certain things in twenty twenty four behind time too.

  727. Isn't it tiring? Isn't it tiring? Look at my mom like,

  728. oh yeah, I'm so tiler.

  729. I don't do it.

  730. This really so much unnecessary drama. I've got better things

  731. to do. Seriously, you know, if people fight over things,

  732. let the fight over things. I'm okay, you know, I

  733. would rather just let it go right.

  734. Hebrews child one says.

  735. Therefore, we also, since we are surrounded by so great

  736. a cloud of winnesses, Friends, it is a benefit that

  737. we have a church community. Because we encourage each other

  738. in the faith. We encourage each other in the faith.

  739. We encourage each other to believe in God, not just

  740. to be holy, but to live for him. Parents encouraging parents,

  741. young adults encouraging douts. We encourage each other. We're not

  742. in this alone. Let us lay aside every way, lay

  743. aside the baggage. Don't carry with you anymore. Is it

  744. a past relationship that hurt you? Is it your mom

  745. that said the wrong thing, your dad that's say the

  746. wrong thing, Your parents didn't give you what you want?

  747. You know what is it? Let us lay every way?

  748. And the sin we're so inasantly and snanches.

  749. Do you know why it's wake fast than sin later,

  750. Because after a while, the weight can become sin now

  751. if you hold onto the wait long enough, right know

  752. things that are better, you know, things that are bad.

  753. Will slowly faster and rot.

  754. Do you know the unforgiveness can become bitterness and then

  755. hate now and then it come to a place where

  756. I don't even know I'm angry passus Stephen, but I

  757. remember he did something wrong to me, I don't know what,

  758. and then maybe passes him.

  759. It's just like oh I forgot to say hello that day,

  760. but now I hate him with all my being for

  761. what right?

  762. It's slowly fastest, fastest, fastest. The Bible says, watch out

  763. for the little foxes. Right, let us run with endurance

  764. the race that is set before us. You gotta run, friends,

  765. God has so much more in store for each and

  766. every one of you. God has so much in stall

  767. for each and every one of you. But again, I'm

  768. back to this point. You have to give the weight

  769. to Christ. You have to be the one that say,

  770. it's my choice or you take it. I don't hold

  771. it anymore. I don't keep it anymore. You take it,

  772. la it's not worth it, right, it's not off it.

  773. Let me share view a simple testimony. So this just

  774. happened recently. Anyway, I just want to thank different ones

  775. who prayed for me. The past few days have been

  776. quite crazy because my dad was, you know, hospital, just

  777. the rainings happened.

  778. So thank you so much for praying. But I was

  779. very stressed out.

  780. Okay, I was so stressed out right, pass see can

  781. all reach me also? And I never responded to anybody.

  782. It was Thursday Friday, and basically my dad's a killing

  783. patient and he has been trying to hold on going

  784. for a dialysis for a long time, so Enna had

  785. to send him to the hospital because of different complications

  786. and his dad being taken care of. And of course

  787. it was like two full days lat and it was

  788. very stressful.

  789. It's very stressful. On Thursday.

  790. It happened on Thursday to send him in actually happened

  791. the day before, but then on Thursday, Thursday or whatever.

  792. But anyway, Uh, I took him to the hospital on Thursday,

  793. and we waited the whole day. And if you know

  794. public hospital public by the way, you guys nowhere, I

  795. will say two bad things about public health care because

  796. in Malaysia, you got no money, you can still survive. Okay,

  797. thank God for our public health care. Okay, but not easy.

  798. You have to wait, LA, So wait a very long

  799. we're stressful. And finally he got in and the next

  800. day I went and we see him on Friday. I

  801. was actually planning to visit him lunchtime only, and then

  802. what happened was because some drama happened. Uh basically my my,

  803. I mean, my dad's not young and his of course

  804. concern for his own health and of course the doctors

  805. will see him and talk to him LA, and he

  806. kind of didn't give them accurate information now okay on

  807. some things, and because of that they were going to

  808. I mean, it's not that bad, but they were going

  809. to put him on another treatment, you know, for different reasons.

  810. Okay, I won't go to the it.

  811. And when I went there I found out about it.

  812. I'm like, what, I made a bit of a fust.

  813. You know, Dalla is stressed on our sleep, and then

  814. suddenly you're telling me this. You know, we were on

  815. one way of treatment which we really planned, discussed for

  816. many months in the feel that it is the best

  817. safirst and all the kind of stuff, but of course

  818. it costs more. But spoke to the brothers, we will commit.

  819. And then my dad maybe he was concerned. He told

  820. the doctors other things and whenever I'm like, oh lord.

  821. And then the thing about public healthcare. If you're not there,

  822. then sometimes it's like very very fast. I know the

  823. doctor w make decisions and then but you're not there

  824. and I cannot be there. Well then because I'm a

  825. visitor and my dad is at this stage, so it's

  826. very hot because they will rely.

  827. On his information.

  828. So I made a big fast and then the doctors

  829. kind of find out what and then I had to

  830. do some things to sort of like tell my dad,

  831. Dad is going to be fine, you know. So one

  832. of the things we had to do was or one

  833. of the things that the hospital wanted to know was

  834. whether or not we have a DIALLYCEI center because to

  835. get the resist you you know, it's not easy to

  836. get and stuff like that. But they want to know

  837. because once they start the dit S treatment and he

  838. has to do it really uh, if you don't have

  839. a center, then difficult, you know, but because wants to start,

  840. you to continue all the way READIMA.

  841. So you need a center.

  842. And we didn't find a center because my dad has

  843. been holding it off everything for you, la, may.

  844. I tell you suddenly say this?

  845. So then I after the drama in the afternoon, then

  846. we went and looked for a center.

  847. There was a center that I saw near my dad's house.

  848. I'm getting to the testimonia, so I might share if

  849. you try, all these things very stressful, remember I said,

  850. I don't unnecessary conflict, but we're stressful because just try

  851. and get things done right. So we me and my wife,

  852. after seeing my dad, we went to this delicy center

  853. that was wearing in my house. I noticed it, and

  854. then we went there just to inquire. Lah, Okay, we

  855. were shopping.

  856. You know, and I tell you, let me, let me

  857. tell let me, let me tell you this. Laugh. If

  858. you follow God and you're trust in him, he will

  859. really take care of you.

  860. He really took care of you. Because what happened was

  861. we went there. So there are a few things that

  862. went well for us. Number one, the costing for the

  863. delicis center, and I did my research.

  864. I was good. Number Two, the lady, the sister that

  865. was there, the HTE nurse, was very nice. She explained everything.

  866. You you know, we need a phillies form, phillies from

  867. phillies form near the doctor's thing. And we're like, okay,

  868. we got this. It seemed like a possible place. Uh

  869. and and and then we so we got a potential

  870. delysis center at about so we went in, talked for

  871. half an hour, and we're going to leave. So when

  872. we're gonna leave, and then that was about three o'clock.

  873. Suddenly I got a phone call from the hospital. They said, hey,

  874. you know, are you still around, you know, because we

  875. want you to talk to the hate the attending neuprologists,

  876. which is the hate doctor that will diagnose my that

  877. will do the treatment for my dad. And I'm like,

  878. oh okay, I'm sill here. So I rushed back to

  879. the hospital. Was on Friday, and then I saw the

  880. doctor and I was able to explain the doctor what happened.

  881. You know, why was my dad's concern, but don't worry,

  882. and the doctor we were able to talk. So we

  883. were able to talk. We were in alignment, and then

  884. there was a plan. So pray Scott for that. The

  885. other testimony was that remember I got the forms and

  886. then I needed to feel and then the hitnes sing

  887. saying the hospital probably take say you probably take a

  888. few days again, probably health care maybe private hospital. You

  889. give your fill out on the spotland but you know

  890. pay health care different. They were the very fine all.

  891. So I of course took the form and passed the

  892. doctor and say, how doctor, what do I do with this?

  893. Can you fill it up? And he's like, oh, go

  894. to my clinic. But after one two minutes he's like,

  895. you know what, let me do it now. He feeled

  896. out everything on the spot for me. You don't get

  897. this kind of favor and no friends, because I said,

  898. just tell me and I'll get you done.

  899. You know.

  900. I was like, just bring it down, you know how

  901. long after it then he look at me like, Nemea, la,

  902. it's urgent them let me do it for you now.

  903. So you got all the documents you fill up over

  904. the counter at the ward, feel that pass me the

  905. thing I got, you know. And then I'm like wow,

  906. and then I align with the doctor and everything is fine,

  907. and it was good. Everything happened very fast within that

  908. few hours, from no deleasy center to a potential dealasis center,

  909. from some of the documents that I need to get

  910. done and probably will take a week to like I've

  911. got most of it done ready, right? Wow, God is

  912. really with you when you need him? Can I tell

  913. you something?

  914. Not so proud.

  915. I didn't pray, I didn't say oh Lord, please cut nothing,

  916. but I recognize that when it all happened, I'm like, God,

  917. this has to be you. The timing is just so perfect.

  918. Can I share you a last testimony. I'm not of

  919. the woods yet, but I believe God is with us

  920. and we'll see how this goes the next few days.

  921. But as the Hittenus was as we were exchanging contexts,

  922. she asked like oh, I need a number. She gave

  923. me a number and said, I need a number so

  924. that you know you can apply and then I'll get

  925. back to you.

  926. I passed her this cart.

  927. So this is a cart that we printed out because

  928. a lot of times people asked me when I go

  929. and see people, you know, in the whole specialist thying,

  930. They're like, oh you go cut no, no, cut uh

  931. And I don't know why. I you know, we were

  932. rushing over. We're not rushing. I now my number and normal,

  933. I'll do that la, I thought. I just gave her

  934. this cut loud because it's more convenient. I took the

  935. cart out and I passed to her and she saw

  936. it and she read but Bohan Cabon has Timothy, and

  937. she madiately asked especial needs. I'm like yeah, And she

  938. started asking a lot of questions though how much is

  939. the assessment and that I'm like, oh no, when you

  940. you know, we got.

  941. To librate and I explained.

  942. Then after that, after a while I kind of asked her, like, actually,

  943. whyre you're asking all this question and then she said, oh, of course,

  944. my eldest son is special needs and I'm looking for

  945. help and I'm like, I'm still stressed out, our guys,

  946. I don't I don't give this car to anybody. It

  947. was actually, sorry, my bad. The first time I actually

  948. if someone discard. The second time I gave to definitely

  949. just now, and the third time I'm going to give

  950. to John. So I don't know, John, you go any like,

  951. reach investor or you can. We're trying to raise one

  952. for next day. Okay, rely on you John. Anyway, it's

  953. the third person I give. We had a chat. This

  954. is a testimony in making. I don't know what's going

  955. to happen. She's not a believer.

  956. And uh and after that, yeses with me, and I

  957. remember I was still stressed out. Okay, still what more?

  958. And just told me God is there. Sorry you composed myself.

  959. God is there, But how stressed out you are, the

  960. things are call upon him.

  961. He will safe you. I think I shaid before here,

  962. not on my plan, but God's plan, right if I

  963. this is the same story, isn't my plan? We were

  964. supposed to see.

  965. The neurologists on the seven day of December and on

  966. the third.

  967. DAYFOI we decide where to go, and then only we

  968. look for a place that was the plan got sped up.

  969. Everything got sped up, everything got provided.

  970. Well, has he provided financially not yet. I'm still believing

  971. for that because it's going to be quite heavy. But

  972. He's provided the place.

  973. Isn't it interesting that in the midst of my challenge

  974. there was still time to minister to someone in need?

  975. Find it funny right the way God works?

  976. Isn't it interesting? Isn't it so much of a coincidence?

  977. Why did I take this car? I can tell you.

  978. I can think about it all. I won't be a

  979. fire answer. If you say, oh, did the Lord impress

  980. upon your heart to know? I'm like, I just give

  981. it the color first time I give someone know. And

  982. then she actually stop me and say especially, And then

  983. we had a conversation and then I was like wow,

  984. and I'm trying and curate her and I'm like, wow,

  985. the favor and in my mom thinking myself, she needs

  986. Menstrie Also, she's the hit nurse of a daily ci center.

  987. She was very caring, She's very kind. You know, in

  988. the midst of my challenge, God still had time to

  989. reach out to someone so amazing, right, Oh God, So friends,

  990. first step first, don't bring your baggages to twenty twenty five.
