  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. My message today is called the Giver and the Gift.

  4. Okay, all right, like Jack and the bean stalks on that,

  5. but no, it's just the Giver and the Giver. I

  6. give you pineapple because Chinese New Year wang lii one

  7. lie online online. Okay, So alright, the Giver and the Gift.

  8. I try my best to share this and you know

  9. that you not only have fun hearing it, but also

  10. receive what the word of God is encouraging us and

  11. reminding us this morning.

  12. Amen, Okay, I have a question for you.

  13. This is my question. Don't shoot me, okay, don't school me.

  14. All right? On a scale to one from one to ten,

  15. how would you rate your joy of giving? Can don't

  16. answer me? Just think about it? On the scale of

  17. one to ten? All right? What is your How would

  18. you rate your joy of giving? Are you here when

  19. you give? How joyful? Like? Can I move the zebra up?

  20. Or can I move the zebra down? Some? When they pay?

  21. Give your offering to the LOMSI villain must learning. I

  22. is learning. I must learning, all right? So can the zebra?

  23. Go up or the zebra go down? Honest scale one

  24. to ten. I mean, there's a question you can answer yourself.

  25. How much joy do you have when it comes to giving,

  26. all right, whether any form of giving, giving praise to

  27. people like hey can you look great today? Are like

  28. oh hey you know Christina, wow, really gorgeous? How how

  29. how how is.

  30. Your joy rating? How do you give to the Lord?

  31. Also you're offering or your gifts whatever, How do you

  32. give in any form your gifts? How do you rate

  33. your joy? Are you very happy when you give? Or

  34. you're very said you have to party my money, you

  35. have to buy the give okay, So when you're zebra

  36. go down, go up? There's a question some people were

  37. very happy to give or no very happy or anything.

  38. Praise was so very good, gifts are so very good

  39. when give lots of hahaha, give u they say in Africa,

  40. I don't know. In Nigeria, the churches, uh, one of

  41. my friends was ministering them and then there was offering time.

  42. So if they were to rate the joy of giving,

  43. they dance out and give the gift very happy, you know,

  44. very cheerful. What does does does come out give you?

  45. Does does go back. So he said, oh wow, they're

  46. offering time is so fun. So rate yourself. How do

  47. you feel you cry when you give crack? You so

  48. thankful Jesus, you bless me?

  49. Or you cry your bad money? All right?

  50. So I don't know. I think I think only you

  51. will know. When is your joy level? Okay, joy level?

  52. All right?

  53. In giving good?

  54. To ask ourselves this question because I want to give

  55. us four points today and we'll just chat about it

  56. and share about it, encourage us. When I was about

  57. when I was about sixteen or seventeen, I just become

  58. a Christian and I was in I joined the church

  59. and my sell group leader was asking all of us,

  60. so would you rather be a rich person or would

  61. you just be not a rich person? And then I

  62. think my naive self or I just became a girl,

  63. so young believer, and I said to him, I said,

  64. I neither want to be rich, and neither do I

  65. want to be not rich. I want because I'm in

  66. Jesus sixteen years old, I can have everything in him,

  67. so that if I needed money, I would just have

  68. to ask the Lord. If I didn't have something, I

  69. would just have to ask the lot. And if he

  70. promised that you know, he will meet every need.

  71. He will.

  72. You know. He says that whatever we ask of the lot,

  73. he will do it for us because he wants our

  74. joy to be full. I think it's in John chapter fifteen.

  75. So I said my answer that I don't know whether

  76. he shook his head or he's like, well done.

  77. I don't know.

  78. I am now in my fifties, and I'm thinking he

  79. said a good answer. I think it's a good answer.

  80. We don't have to be here or there. God will

  81. give you if you're here, great, if we're here, wherever

  82. we're at.

  83. I think more importantly is who's your source? Amen? He

  84. and we just read some twenty three.

  85. The Lord is my shepherd, and I shall not want Wow,

  86. there's never going to be a lack, but we need

  87. to do the hot miles sometimes to go through that

  88. to understand what it is to trust the Lord. And

  89. I think I shared with you before when I first

  90. married Kenneth Chin and after all the vowels, you know,

  91. for Richard, for Bura, and I looked at like, I

  92. don't know what I'm going to have. Cannot tell mother

  93. how much he's earning five hundred dollars eight hundred ringate

  94. from the church. He's full time. And then I like,

  95. I want to pay a shoe no shoe breaking already,

  96. you know, cannot buy because I worked and all the

  97. salary went into I worked as a teacher then, and

  98. then I gave up my corporate work for as a teacher.

  99. He did not have a salary. He was living by faith.

  100. I'd never seen there. What teaching is it? Lived by faith? Brother,

  101. I'm so new. I won't take a serun anyway. It

  102. was no salary because we're running out, you know, a

  103. ya on our own. And but God met him. He

  104. read so many facebooks. He his hero was George Mueller,

  105. and he said, you know, when you pray, God will

  106. provide whoa And.

  107. I saw that.

  108. And for thirty years that were married, I never asked

  109. him how he gets his money. I hope he didn't

  110. rob anybody. Love. I just hope he didn't I steal somewhere.

  111. But for thirty years we never argue about money because

  112. money is not the main topic Jesus is. So if

  113. he doesn't have sometimes I offer you want me to

  114. help you, like I really read here, you know, But

  115. being the man in the house, he always wants to

  116. pay the bills, so you payer, I take care of

  117. certain bills, and he'll always take care of me and

  118. make sure we have whatever. And he asked a lot,

  119. and for thirty years I've seen that of him. But

  120. we had to do the hart miles, as I said,

  121. and from the past sharing to learn to trust a lot,

  122. from trusting a love for patrol, from trusting the lot

  123. for pairshoe, from trusting the lot to fly. You know

  124. that we needed etiquettes to fly to see my grandmother.

  125. But that was my husband's faith, which.

  126. I don't bug.

  127. For a while, I borrowed his faith for a while,

  128. and then later I developed my own faith to live

  129. by faith.

  130. And that's in the world of God.

  131. The just shall live by faith in Romans chapter one,

  132. and that's taken from the Old Testament.

  133. The Josh shall.

  134. Live by faith and our church and never thought taught

  135. us that missionaries used to teach us that we're talking

  136. about that This man, Kenna Chaine lives it every day.

  137. I really don't know how, but God provides somehow it

  138. comes and and he will tell me. He doesn't tell

  139. me how he gets the funds. I hear it from

  140. the here the message you and you hear it. I

  141. hate for the first time. So he's he is a

  142. very quiet person at home. He doesn't, you know, tell

  143. me this.

  144. He talks.

  145. We talk, but his faith journey, sometimes he really walks

  146. it and then I hear it.

  147. Sometimes he shares.

  148. Sometimes I find out cute and I'm like, oh, Or

  149. if you're thinking about something and we're walking somewhere together,

  150. shopping or walking the park or something, all I'm talking awaiting.

  151. He's listening to me.

  152. Actually he's talking to Jesus God. Damnn, I hear the message, right.

  153. I know he was not listening to me. He was

  154. talking to Jesus, Jesus, you know, and telling Jesus what

  155. his needs were. And the Lord meets him at every need,

  156. whether it's a he really walks my faith, you know,

  157. believing for every provision when he when he's when we

  158. say he's a county is almost three dollars forty two cents,

  159. it's true, and it's true, and it's true.

  160. If I have a.

  161. Country forty two I cry. Okay, and it happened to

  162. me once and once. I'm very careful, but I grew up.

  163. Our family was well, okay, we just lost everything, so

  164. everything is you know, we work very hard. So in

  165. street doors forty two cents, I don't know what to do.

  166. Three forty two cents. You pray. You don't show me

  167. his face. You pray like, oh how, But the Lord

  168. takes us to the lessons of trusting him. And I

  169. have to say, not just because I'm a full time worker.

  170. We've left all things and is just the work for

  171. the church. But he's working for the Lord. The Lord

  172. does meet every need. And God has bless us to

  173. other people. God actually uses people, his children to bless us.

  174. And God uses me to bless other people, whether I

  175. give in financial or give a form of gize, whether

  176. I'm there for that person, whether we're driving all the way.

  177. We give this.

  178. God uses each other. When we say pray that the

  179. Lord provides friends. I always pray the Lord provide from

  180. the sky. Please don't need to ask any auntie, uncle,

  181. brother's sister. But the Lord, we'll touch a man and

  182. a woman's heart. He still uses a man and a

  183. woman to help us.

  184. I don't know how.

  185. But then they say, hey, we've just banged this in

  186. for you, or we heard from the Lord to give

  187. you this just like how we bought our house. No,

  188. I had no part in this house thing for me.

  189. He's okay, it can run forever. Okay, my husband and

  190. I say, we can rent forever. It's all right once,

  191. it's all right. But God said, no, we want you

  192. to have a house. And some Auntie, you know, ittio

  193. Auntie prays and remembers past the chin and says, pass

  194. the chin. Here's the ninety thousand for down payment, exact

  195. amount to put the down payment for the house. So

  196. people go at your house, are you are you taking

  197. money her church? No, came from this etheo Auntie who

  198. just prayed, and the Lord said, give us the chin,

  199. and she gives Puss the chin. And of course he

  200. cries one hundred times a thousand times because we would

  201. never be able to purchase any house with what we have.

  202. But God knows what he wants you to have for

  203. testimony and to glorify his name. And again I think

  204. Bassa shared his message on the renovations. I didn't even

  205. know where the money came from. I don't want to

  206. ask waste my time. So just like whatever Jesus help you,

  207. I'm like a very simple Anything goes. And then God

  208. provides and comes to suppos it constantly experiences this grace

  209. of God. But he also gives. Even when he doesn't have,

  210. he still gives what he has.

  211. Very generous. I have to say, he's very generous. He

  212. doesn't have. I supposed to provide.

  213. For my parents, but he constantly gives mine. My dad

  214. was a life pocket money. He never tells me, so

  215. I'll give my parents. But he also thought something, you

  216. don't have any money.

  217. But every time blessed he gives, come, he goes, it comes, goes.

  218. I don't say that the giver is you and us,

  219. and the gift is from us, from the Lord who

  220. gives to us to give.

  221. So he goes this way and the word of God

  222. tells us.

  223. According to Paul, we all share in each other's giving

  224. and receiving. That's the economy of God's kingdom. So even

  225. when we pray, we all got too much pray something

  226. to say, oh yeah, go drop fall down from the sky.

  227. Now he uses, I mean, it could be a monkey

  228. checking the tree down. But you know, seldom it's a monkey.

  229. But it could be someone coming and just putting an

  230. envelope under your door, or you put it into your

  231. hand God uses people. Oh God, God has done that.

  232. So my this is not just for full time workers.

  233. This is for all of us and God. According to

  234. Deuterondo Mey chapter six, he does give you power to

  235. make wealth. He does. There are people in this room

  236. who just have God's anointing to do well in your business.

  237. You see it, and you just do well because there's

  238. anointing on that.

  239. Some I can't do business. I ran a cafe.

  240. We lost money because we give the students free for everything.

  241. I take them out to my husband. You cannot do business.

  242. You cannot.

  243. You're too kind.

  244. You're too kind.

  245. You cannot. You cannot because there has a mind of

  246. a passing.

  247. He's egg, He's everything for free, charge everything all my

  248. shepherd's buy all for cheap. You know. My get a

  249. cup editing machting the student and I pay you what.

  250. But but some people just have that calling to make wealth.

  251. Take it. Guess God's annointing on you. Others will have

  252. other other kinds of ability.

  253. Amen. So it's for all of us.

  254. Really live by faith, so that the giver experiences the

  255. grace of God. That you may give a gift that

  256. is also by the grace of God.

  257. Amen.

  258. We cannot live our Christian life without experiencing this part

  259. of our walk with Jesus. Can God touch your money?

  260. And you have to answer that question, I you and

  261. all believers of Christ. Can God touch your money, your finances?

  262. I don't have, I don't give, I don't know. You

  263. have to read God's word. And we've heard so many

  264. times scriptures have said the widow last week eating puzzles,

  265. which week pass the which there was no more flower

  266. and no more oil, and she said, or make my

  267. last way, and then I'm going to die. But yet

  268. Elijah or Elijah said, can you please make me a

  269. guay first and let me eat what the terrible men?

  270. But she made it and then her flower bien never

  271. went dry in the time of the drought.

  272. And after that, yeah, set fish. She was back into business.

  273. Right. So living my face really is for all of

  274. us being just the call ones of the Lord to

  275. having the ability to participate in being the giver and

  276. also the one who has the gift to give.

  277. Amen.

  278. So my first point for us is every time you give,

  279. it is an act of faith.

  280. Amen.

  281. Every time you give, I'm learning over and over again,

  282. every time I want to give something, it could be

  283. any kind of any form of giving has to be

  284. done by faith. Why because I said it the other

  285. week before, and I preach without faith. It is impossible

  286. too please God. You can't. You can't please God. There

  287. are some things, there's just this one thing. You want

  288. to please God. You gotta do anything by faith. Even

  289. if I want to preach today, I have to do

  290. it by faith. I cannot take it for granted that

  291. I got it. I don't. I'm studying.

  292. I have to do it by faith. I have to

  293. because I want to please Him.

  294. For he who comes to God he Brews eleven six,

  295. he comes to God mass believe in these two things.

  296. Number one that he is and not that he was.

  297. He is, And number two, he is a rewarder of

  298. them who diligently seek him. God rewards you when you

  299. believe that he is, And if you diligently seek him,

  300. he is your reward. Two things that you experience. And

  301. he says, I am pleased when you come by faith.

  302. And anything done in our own strength will not be faith.

  303. Anything done by faith. So what a reminder in man

  304. church for all of us by faith? Want to lead

  305. worship by faith? I want to study by faith. Want

  306. to make a kick every time I make a kid

  307. because I bake it and don't bake it, and forgot

  308. how even this Chinese be here. Once n I'll make

  309. my bigon grable. But every year I learn it all

  310. over again. Why because January in the next January, I

  311. forgot the taste. And yet, oh my goodness, this family

  312. that has been coming from fifteen years, the children have

  313. grown out, gotten married.

  314. They all want to come back to my house.

  315. So I have to cook it. I cook something else Laksa, No,

  316. cannot why I want that one? So you know it

  317. takes faith to do something that will please God. I'm

  318. learning again and again that you want to please God,

  319. we have to act out of faith.

  320. Amen.

  321. You know it took a big step of the faith,

  322. the faith that God had. In next night, our God

  323. gave us unconditionally his son Ah to bridge the gap

  324. between him and fallen man. It cost him his life.

  325. None of us have given our lives for anything for

  326. the Lord.

  327. Nothing.

  328. We've given strength, but we've not shed blood. But God

  329. has shed blood. He gave us the first one to

  330. show us generosity and just to give was his only son.

  331. All of you who have children. You know that you

  332. only have one son, and you want to let go

  333. of your one son, one daughter, one.

  334. Child that you have is very hard.

  335. Even though that child can give you a heartache, it

  336. is still your child. You will not give up your child.

  337. But God had to give up his son so that

  338. only the perfect son could complete the race for us

  339. that you and I today, as we partic of communion,

  340. we have this assurance that we are reconciled to the Lord,

  341. and we stand forgiven before the Lord and before one

  342. another as we partake to forgive one another as God

  343. has forgiven us. Amen, hallelujah. Are you grateful for that?

  344. Amen?

  345. Was too quiet here? Oh yeah, I cannot look quiet

  346. and it makes some noise like fireworks.

  347. Boom boom boom. All right. Our God gave us so

  348. unconditionally loved us, do you know? And Jesus came.

  349. He had to take a chance. He doesn't know whether

  350. man will accept him. He doesn't know if Grace will

  351. accept him. He doesn't know if common will accept him.

  352. He doesn't know you know that any of us would

  353. accept himTo He didn't know, but he believed in you.

  354. I was not a believer always I rejected Christ. He

  355. took a chance on me. You know, if Stephen would

  356. receive you don't know, Grace would belim Clarisa, would you

  357. receive him? But he took a chance. He said, no,

  358. I love the world that I would give my only son.

  359. And in that, while we were yet sinners Romans eight five,

  360. he died for us.

  361. He gave. So this DNA is eat us.

  362. Amen.

  363. We are made in God's image.

  364. We have the DNA of God. That's God's heart. He gives.

  365. He gives.

  366. Really, so we have that DNA. We're made in the

  367. image of God. And God's heart towards each of us

  368. is He's.

  369. So generous with us.

  370. He loves us unconditionally, He's patient, conditionally. Every day I

  371. get out here, I say, Jesus, I am so grateful

  372. that you are merciful to me. I'm so grateful that

  373. you love me even when I failed you, or when

  374. I'm so naughty and I'm so bad, and yet you're

  375. patiently saying to me, come, I'm your God. I will

  376. transform your life. Yes, Lord, but I failed yesterday. I'm

  377. so grateful to his generous heart that is our DNA.

  378. And then that's why all of you have that generosity

  379. in your heart.

  380. Just said.

  381. Sometimes we experience different things that by people who have

  382. hurt you or disappointed that makes you then shrink back.

  383. But when we deal with God in all things, we

  384. want to please him.

  385. Amen.

  386. So this is the first point of every act of

  387. giving that you do. Let it be an act of faith.

  388. Don't let it be just out of fear, out of disappointment.

  389. Therefore don't or therefore yes, I'll do it. No I won't,

  390. But I want to please God. Amen, believing that He rewards,

  391. Believing that He is and present with us in all

  392. that we do. Because friends, God has given you the

  393. jobs that He's given you, the abilities, the creativity to

  394. make wealth, to earn, to be able to have. And

  395. this is your blood and sweat.

  396. Don't comment when you work. He's blood and swet.

  397. I know blood and sweat. Oh, Clari's so blood and sweet.

  398. So God knows this is your life when you give.

  399. It's your life. We work, we give our lives, we

  400. sweat for it, we work hard, we go not I

  401. sleep from boss everything.

  402. It's then we bring home this.

  403. We have to do it by faith. Otherwise left right center,

  404. you get disappointed and we want to say Lord, I

  405. want to please you, Amen. And so we capture God's

  406. heart who gave us first that we have his dna.

  407. Amen.

  408. And so we want to know how God loves, and

  409. so we want to love back the same way as

  410. we learn in our faith steps. Amen. So number one,

  411. it's always when you give the giver, it's always an

  412. act of faith. Your gift will be a faith gift

  413. at all times.

  414. Amen.

  415. Number two, you know, all of the things that God

  416. hopes to develop and wants to be with us is

  417. our intimacy with God. Wow. To grow close to God.

  418. To intimacy means he's He's not just a God that

  419. is far off and you're waiting for him to hit

  420. you on the head because you didn't do it.

  421. That is not our God.

  422. That is our teacher, but not God. That maybe your mother,

  423. but not God. My mom's like, you didn't do that.

  424. So we got this.

  425. You know, God is gonna hit me, not our father God.

  426. He wants to draw us cords of loving kindness, to

  427. know his kindness and his generous heart. So when we

  428. are given the opportunity to learn about you know, giving

  429. as God has given to us, it brings us a

  430. place of drawing.

  431. Close to come close to God's heart.

  432. And so we have this.

  433. I've chosen this verse.

  434. Second Corinthians, Chapter eight, verse one to seven. Second Corinthians,

  435. Chapter eight, Verse one to seven. What does it mean

  436. by what you mean by intimacy with God? And I

  437. drew that out of this scripture because it brings us

  438. to this place of a relationship with Him.

  439. Amen.

  440. So I'm gonna read this for you now, Second Corinthians.

  441. This is the church in Corinth. Corinth is a city,

  442. a busy.

  443. Business.

  444. It's busy, it's a port city. Businesses are happening, everything

  445. is booming. And Paul was speaking to the church that

  446. was planted in Corinth. I'm trying to recall whether he planted.

  447. Anyone knows he planted Corinth or not, or someone else planted.

  448. But he was. He always came because church planting was

  449. part of what he did, right, So he would preach.

  450. And the Church of Corinth, one of the earlier churches,

  451. was going through some funny stuff. Yeah, as God was transforming,

  452. then they were behaving funny, and so Paul had to

  453. write these letters to encourage them, to teach them, and

  454. then he was reminding them. In chapter eight because he

  455. wanted to remind them about their gift. And he brought

  456. the story actually of how the Macedonian church was helping

  457. who was a much poorer church, not a busy city,

  458. was really out back.

  459. So anyway, let's read this. If you have your bibles.

  460. Turned to Second Corinthians, chapter eight and verse one, and

  461. we'll read that all the way verse six or seven. Okay,

  462. here we go, So Paul writes to the church in Kornaces. Moreover,

  463. brethren and sister, and okay, we make known to you

  464. the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia,

  465. and that in a great trial of affliction, the abundance

  466. of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in.

  467. The richest of their liberality. Reading from the NKJV.

  468. For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes,

  469. and beyond their ability, they were freely willing, imploring us

  470. with much urgency that we should receive the gift and

  471. the fellowship of the ministring.

  472. To the saints.

  473. And not only as we had hope, but they first

  474. gave themselves to the Lord and then to us by

  475. the will of God verse five. And not only as

  476. we had hope, but they read it first gave themselves

  477. to the Lord and then to us by the will

  478. of God. So we urged Titus as he had begun,

  479. so he would also complete this grace in you as well.

  480. But as you abound in everything, in faith, in speech,

  481. in knowledge, in all diligence, in your love for us,

  482. see that you also abound in disgrace.

  483. Also.

  484. What is disgrace is the grace of generosity, or the

  485. grace of giving. So I wonna this is the NKJBB

  486. hard to understand.

  487. I want to read you from JB. Phillips.

  488. All right, So JB. Phillips is a pair of phrase.

  489. It's very old book.

  490. JV. Phillips. Pick it up the dirt, all right, all right,

  491. So this is what reads in JB.

  492. Phillips. He says, ever got the right one, got the

  493. right one?

  494. Yes. Now, my brothers, we must tell you about the

  495. grace that God has given to the Macedonian churches. Somehow,

  496. in most difficult circumstances, their joy and the fact of

  497. being down to their last penny themselves produce a magnificent

  498. concern for other people. I can guarantee that they will

  499. that they were willing to give to the limit of

  500. their means, yes, and beyond their means, without the lighters

  501. urging for from me or anyone else.

  502. It means nobody had to force them.

  503. In fact, they simply begged us to accept their gifts

  504. and so let them share the honor of supporting their

  505. brothers in Christ. Now, nor was their gift, as I

  506. must confess, I had expected a mere cash payment. Instead,

  507. they made a complete dedication of themselves, first to the

  508. Lord and then to us as God's appointed ministers. So

  509. now this has made us us Titus, who has already

  510. done so much among you, to complete his task by

  511. arranging for you too to share at this work of generosity.

  512. Already you are well to the fore in every good quality.

  513. You have faith.

  514. You can express that faith in words. You have knowledge, enthusiasm,

  515. and your love for us. Would you not add generosity

  516. to your virtues?

  517. All right? And this is a slightly paraphrased by JB.

  518. Phillips. And this was this is where I bring in

  519. the intimacy with God. Paul was reminding the church in

  520. Korinth that if you read the whole thing, a year ago,

  521. they promised that they want to give a gift to

  522. help the persecuted church in Jerusalem, and then I think

  523. they forgot along the way. And then Paul was reminded

  524. when the Macedonian churches now Macedonia themselves were going through

  525. tremendous persecution. They were not rich. But when Paul went,

  526. they said, Paul, please take our gift for the brothers

  527. in Jerusalem. We hear that they are they are lack,

  528. they are in persecution. And when Paul had that, he

  529. shared this testimony with the Krinth Church to remind them, Hey,

  530. that one year ago you.

  531. Wanted to take this gift.

  532. But I think along the way things got funny in

  533. the church and they Forgod. So Paul was just reminding by,

  534. like what Paul is writing here to the church in Corin,

  535. what is drawing me out to the point of intimacy

  536. with God? Is this? Is that very verse five in

  537. the next light is that they first gave themselves to

  538. the Lord and then to the apostles to say, hey,

  539. we want to give you this.

  540. Funds.

  541. So intimacy with God is this. They first gave themselves

  542. to the Lord in all that we do. Do you

  543. think God actually is talking about just your money? No?

  544. I think we are most of us will know He's

  545. never about the money. He's about the heart. They gave themselves.

  546. They didn't give them money to the Lord. They gave themselves.

  547. They drew near to go God. They leaned on the Lord.

  548. They committed themselves to the Lord, and then they heard

  549. from the Lord. And then they gave out of their leg.

  550. Out of their leg. But why because they grew close

  551. to the Lord, they constantly had to ask the Lord.

  552. They draw near to Jesus even to hear.

  553. So it wasn't compelled by someone. It's my policy.

  554. I couldn't have forced you. But you were crying, you know,

  555. to give the money. And I've seen people are millionaires.

  556. At least one I know was when he came to

  557. a minister of God right here in Malaysia and said,

  558. we want to give you this money to do the ministry.

  559. And the pastor said, I'm not taking your money.

  560. God said no. And he cried.

  561. He said, why don't God accept my money? He said,

  562. I don't know. God said not to take your money.

  563. The person cried, so not every time you offered me

  564. take love. I don't know why I didn't take the money.

  565. I don't know. I heard the testimony, like you cried

  566. say no, please take kids for the work of the Lord. No,

  567. the Lord said not to take your money. You better

  568. ask the Lord. So they are crying, you know, please

  569. take our money to the church in Jerusalem. Please fall.

  570. And Paul's like, but you are in lag don't you

  571. don't have enough? No, we gave ourselves first to the Lord,

  572. and the Lord has moved us to give this gift.

  573. Your intimacy, yours and mine. We all build a closeness

  574. with the Lord, a walk of love with the Lord. Intimacy. Amen,

  575. the word intimate, guys, you know it's intimate. Some God

  576. in tim the Alumbasa, Indonesia in dim right, so close,

  577. we're so deep.

  578. We know we're fool.

  579. We are soffused with the Lord that we hear from

  580. the Lord. We're not. God wasn't asking for their money.

  581. God was asking for their hearts. So that when we Lord,

  582. I give you my heart, then anything else you can touch. Lord?

  583. Is it my job? Is it? My child? Is it?

  584. My business?

  585. Is it? You know?

  586. My relationship?

  587. Is it? This? Is it?

  588. Whatever my funds?

  589. How so I want to say number one, we have

  590. take an act of faith every time it comes to

  591. anything in our lives. But Even so, with our giving

  592. as the giver by act of faith, whatever we want

  593. to do by faith. Number two, this ability to wanting

  594. to give has to be done out of an intimate

  595. relationship we've got. And God draws us to him when

  596. we have a need, draw near to the Lord. Ask

  597. him first, Ask the Lord first. And you might say,

  598. but how if I don't hear from the Lord?

  599. Friends?

  600. The Bible tells us in John chapter ten, my sheep

  601. hear my voice. Do we have sheep in the house?

  602. Are you got sheep? Then you have to hear God's war.

  603. Please don't dell me. You hear the demon's voice, because

  604. who are you hanging out with? You are God's sheep.

  605. You have to hear the shepherd's voice. Oh but you

  606. can't recognize it. Get used to it. No it's not

  607. mad blah blah blah blah ba.

  608. But no, no, no, no, no.

  609. God's voice like the shepherd. He calls to you, and

  610. he speaks to our hearts. But he speaks to you

  611. and me in different ways. I get pictures, God drops

  612. names in my heart. I just had a text two

  613. days ago. I said about this brother who has gone

  614. off to do a different ministry.

  615. I said, where is Jeff? I've not heard from him.

  616. Every year he will ask me can we come for anniversary?

  617. And I say, please come. You're part of EGS, but

  618. you had to do another ministry no sound, and I'm

  619. going to text him. I'm just gonna text h me

  620. yesterday to say how you doing. His wife just texted

  621. me and said, Jeff, he's in hospital emergency. His oxygen

  622. level is dropping. She said, please pray. I said, what

  623. happened to Jeff? I just had too many bad news

  624. this whole week. I have four three four funerals to handle.

  625. But that's how God drops. He gives me names. He

  626. speaks to me. I don't know what it is.

  627. I will call that person, going to say why you're

  628. calling me?

  629. Buster? Oh?

  630. When I say can I meet you? Why are you

  631. meeting me?

  632. Past? What did I do?

  633. I do something wrong?

  634. Hello? I meet you, Not that you do something wrong.

  635. I just want a fellowship with you. Hah. So I say,

  636. your person a fellowship with you? So you're so scared?

  637. What what? Hello? Don't alienate me? So God speaks to

  638. you in different ways son that God says give give

  639. how much? And say give you just brain you give,

  640. how generous you want to give? So God speaks to you,

  641. he says, my sheep hear my voice. I trust that

  642. there are sheep in this room, not goats. Who keeps saying,

  643. So I trust, I entrust you, and I want to

  644. encourage you, the sheep of God hear his voice. Build

  645. the intimacy relationship with the Lord.

  646. Amen.

  647. So therefore I ask you a question. You can answer

  648. this on your own.

  649. What does it mean to you? Okay?

  650. What does it mean to give yourself first to the Lord?

  651. What does it mean? I can't answer that question for you.

  652. You have to answer this question. What does it mean

  653. to you? And are you going to take action for this?

  654. Or when you have done, what did you do?

  655. What does it mean to you? Right to give yourself

  656. first to the Lord. So you have to think, when

  657. I give myself first to the Lord? What do I do? Right?

  658. Another question?

  659. When is it easier to give yourself to the Lord

  660. during good times when you have plenty or during times

  661. of less than plenty. When is it easier to give

  662. yourself to the Lord? Think about it. I don't have

  663. the answer for you because it's you. What does it

  664. mean to give yourself first?

  665. To the Lord. What do you what are the actions?

  666. How do you show that you give yourself first to

  667. the Lord? What is that that you do.

  668. For me? If I want to give myself first and

  669. I've consecrated my life to the Lord already, I can't

  670. do my life anything I want, I don't. And I'm

  671. still a work in progress because sometimes stay wrong thing.

  672. But I have to give myself first the Lot.

  673. My mornings, I do my best to wake up.

  674. I must sleep early, how and the first thing is

  675. to be with Jesus first and then only do other things.

  676. But some days the work is crying out.

  677. I'm like Jesus, sorry, fifteen minutes okay, But because of

  678. God we cannot see.

  679. We don't think in matters. But he is a god

  680. that sees.

  681. He does see. Even if it's your fifteen minute, an

  682. hour and always minimum for us past it takes two

  683. hours or more. I'm just saying, what does it mean

  684. for you to give yourself first to the Lord?

  685. What does it look like? Is it putting us like time?

  686. Is it your money? Is it your business? How do

  687. you know some people got business? They always say, can

  688. we dedicate our business to the Lot so that he's

  689. my business partner, and they dedicate their business so that

  690. whatever happens to that business, the Lord is my partner.

  691. He will tell me how I should run that business,

  692. how should I give the profits away or invest whatever?

  693. And when is it easier to give yourself to the Lord.

  694. When is it during the times of plenty or during

  695. times of less? You know, Like I said to my

  696. CG leader, I don't really think I need to be rich.

  697. I just need to be with Jesus that if I

  698. have a need, I need to ask. I need to

  699. be patient that he will answer, because he's my daddy. God,

  700. my God is not just a god of fire. I'm

  701. afraid he's my dad. He's my dad, my father in heaven.

  702. He has to come through for me.

  703. Amen. He just has to.

  704. He just has to. I have.

  705. We have a church member.

  706. She lost her dad, she lost her mom, and she

  707. told me past time and often.

  708. Now, okay, are you will care for you? She said,

  709. because I'm an often God has to take care of me.

  710. And she.

  711. She said, God, there, okay, I believe you.

  712. And I have to say a single woman she has

  713. gone off to the UK. She's a nurse there and

  714. now she's going to get married. God provided her life partner.

  715. How he ran about it, not in my agreement love,

  716. but never mind, God provided for her.

  717. So she had a faith that God will take care

  718. of me.

  719. I'm an orphan, and the Bible says look after the

  720. widows and the often whom it's nobody else. She don't

  721. have brother's sister, not many auntie uncles. We helped turned

  722. the time of need as a church. But now she's

  723. on her own. How she said, God has to take

  724. care of me, and he did. She's not in lack,

  725. she is blessed. And she tells me what happens to her.

  726. She's not here, she's away.

  727. But that's our God.

  728. Right.

  729. Your intimacy of faith? You believe?

  730. What do you? How do you? What does it look

  731. like when you walk with Jesus, guys, brothers, sisters?

  732. How it's not a theme? Guy? You know it's a theme?

  733. Young?

  734. Yes?

  735. So hunger? How? No?

  736. Why walk with him? Amen?

  737. I I speak that not.

  738. Because I have all experienced.

  739. I'm still experiencing God's goodness, God's teaching, God's leading. So

  740. I also need to grow in my intimacy with God.

  741. Every time you lean on him, you grow a little

  742. closer to the Lord. Amen, How does God speak?

  743. I want to assure you if you are God sheep,

  744. he speaks to you. Are you listening? That's all all right.

  745. Just make sure you're in the right pasture, eating the

  746. right place. Don't go somewhere else. Then you can on

  747. your way way. I can you your wrong pasture. Eat here.

  748. God's leading you here, not doing everywhere else. He leads

  749. us by the green pastures. Make you lie down in

  750. still waters. He's a good shepherd.

  751. Amen.

  752. So Number one, every act we do, act of faith,

  753. take it by faith. Number two, we build intimacy, it grow.

  754. God wants to grow. God wants us to come close

  755. to him, to know him so close. It's like an

  756. act of marriage when husband and wife come together. That's intimate.

  757. God's relationship with us is how close He's in our

  758. face all the time. All the time, he's in your face.

  759. Even you didn't brush your teeth, he will love you.

  760. I cannot take my husband in my face, like please

  761. brush your teeth, get out. But but God takes us

  762. as we are Jesus, take me as I am.

  763. As I am. Amen.

  764. Number two, all right. Number three, growing in the likeness

  765. of Christ. Amen. This whole act of walking by faith,

  766. growing in intimacy of Christ is so that we can

  767. grow into the likeness of Christ. Amen.

  768. Right, Why do I say that the giver and your gift?

  769. Right?

  770. The story about the giver and your gift?

  771. Well, the giver can only learn from someone he has

  772. known how to give. And God is our giver, who

  773. has first given us. And so we learn from the

  774. Lord we wanted. At the end of the day, friend

  775. before God. In our conversations, I had a harddle meeting.

  776. In that conversation I could tell where everybody was. Was

  777. anyone telling me they want to be more like Jesus?

  778. Not I want to be these that I want to

  779. hear about. How can I be more like Jesus? That

  780. is the whole gold, friends of your work in Christ.

  781. Why we do by faith? Why we grow intimate so

  782. that God transformers to be more like Jesus. You know,

  783. the second coming of the Lord. When Christ comes, he

  784. ain't looking funny call or Cynthia. He's looking for his son.

  785. Can I see Jesus in you? Can you see Jesus

  786. in me? I'm telling you we do all our face

  787. lift and eye lift. He ain't looking for that he's

  788. looking for his son. Can I all I see see,

  789. all God sees in all of us today right now,

  790. is the blood of Jesus. That's why you can come

  791. boldly to the throne room of grace and say, Lord

  792. of Mercy, he sees the blood, he sees the blood.

  793. He sees the blood.

  794. The devil, on the other hand, will accuse us and say,

  795. did you see Rita? No, God says, I see Jesus.

  796. The blood of my son is on her life. But

  797. did you know what she did last summer? I don't care.

  798. It's over.

  799. You seek his forgiveness. He's for you, stand forgiven because

  800. of what Christ did.

  801. So we are to grow in the likeness of Christ. Amen.

  802. So Paul, So what are some things?

  803. Are you?

  804. The Bible so full of all that God wants for us?

  805. Right? I only can choose a few guys a short time,

  806. have to talk too long, cannot got lunch, got family lunch? Okay.

  807. Second Corinthians, chapter eight, the same verse we're reading seven

  808. to nine.

  809. I read that with you just now, and Paul was urging.

  810. So more like verse nine moverse seventh verse where I

  811. read with you just now, where it says that Paul

  812. was urging them, would you abound so I have that

  813. in another slightly says Paul was encouraging the believers in

  814. Koran to not only that means that, to add on,

  815. not only are you great in your faith? Because the

  816. Corinthian Church, the krinth Church, the Corinthians grew amazingly fast.

  817. They caught on the faith, they loved God. But then

  818. somehow they're gonna trip, and then they were falling. So polsays, hey,

  819. don't just abound in your faith and your speech. They

  820. could speak words of faith, in your knowledge of God,

  821. and your enthusiasm.

  822. And your love.

  823. He says, great, great, great, great, But now add on

  824. this virtue, this grace, the word gracier, the grace of generosity,

  825. the grace of giving. Pulses at this on complete the picture.

  826. Because our father, he is a giver.

  827. He has given us so much. Amen.

  828. So what is the likeness of Christ? Christ himself came

  829. and gave us. You know, there's a verse where okay,

  830. let's look at X twenty thirty five X chapter twenty

  831. and verse thirty and verse thirty five.

  832. You you know, I used to wonder why.

  833. People always say this is worse? And then and then

  834. I found it, and I was like, yay, what does

  835. Jesus say X twenty and verse twenty five.

  836. Thirty five?

  837. All right, this is Luke, doctor Luke is writing, he says,

  838. And here here it is X twenty. It's written by

  839. the by Luke, doctor Luke. He says, I've shown you

  840. in every way by laboring like this, that you must

  841. support the weak and remember the words of the Lord

  842. Jesus that he said it is more blessed to give

  843. than to receive.

  844. If you thought where this is where there's a verse here?

  845. Okay, it's red color in my Bible, he says, Jesus

  846. said it is more blessed to give than to receive.

  847. Then I searched and said, where did the verse come from?

  848. Give it to me in the Gospels. It's not directly

  849. written in the Gospels.

  850. That Jesus said.

  851. Well, again, a lot of things Jesus said not written.

  852. If you're written, we cannot finish reading John twenty one,

  853. twenty five.

  854. Okay, it cannot exaist.

  855. It's so much, Jesus said, doane cannot write, cannot contain

  856. in the books. But we can make an inference through

  857. the teachings of Christ. So he says, it's more blessed

  858. to give than to receive. When Christ walked on the earth,

  859. many times you would have seen him giving, teaching, providing

  860. while others provided for him.

  861. He also provided for his disciples. He gave, He gave,

  862. not only gave their physically, He gave physically. Not what

  863. I mean is for money.

  864. Along he said, pay the Texes. Here's the money from

  865. the fish mouth. How nice you go fishing? You catch

  866. the fish one gold coin? Come out, pay your tax. Okay,

  867. LHDN here's the money. But here's my text. You know,

  868. the Lord provided, he blessed, He bless people were healing.

  869. And you know that the Lord moved. He came to serve,

  870. not to be served. He gave himself. He came to

  871. serve amongst the people. So this verse, this line probably

  872. was in action what you see in the gospels.

  873. Amen.

  874. So if we look at Luke six, Luke six and

  875. verse thirty, Luke six and verse thirty. If you have

  876. your bibles, oh we miss hearing the flipping of pages

  877. lick Luke six and verse thirty to thirty one.

  878. So here Jesus is speaking to this to his to

  879. all the.

  880. People who came to listen to him, and he was

  881. talking to the multitudes and talking about loving your enemies,

  882. law and this and that.

  883. So he says, give to everyone who asks of you

  884. Verse thirty.

  885. Give to everyone who asks of you, and from him

  886. who takes away your goods, don't ask them back. Okay,

  887. Give to everyone who asks of you, and from him

  888. who takes away your goods, and don't ask them back. Oh, Parney,

  889. he took your favorite part, okay, and don't give you back. Emily,

  890. I ain't gonna share my legrasy pot. But if God

  891. say give it, I am to give me all right.

  892. And just as you want men to do to you,

  893. you also do to them Likewise, this is called the

  894. golden rule. Do unto others as you want others to

  895. do to you. I was wondering where was this verse

  896. is here? This is the golden rule. Whatever how you

  897. treat people, treat you know you want people treat you well.

  898. Treat people well. You don't be rude, So people don't

  899. be rude to you. And you can't help it if

  900. they are rude to you, Bless them. Oh it's so hard, right,

  901. But he's Jesus saying that that is blessed, more blessed

  902. to give than to receive. He even says in thirty four,

  903. if you lend to those from whom you hope to

  904. receive back, Now, what credit is credit? Is that to you?

  905. For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back.

  906. When Jesus gave his life, I say, while we were

  907. yet sinners, he gave his life for us. He didn't

  908. know if Daniel chung, who's gonna follow Christ? We probably

  909. cause Jesus right, I close, Jesus don't want Jesus.

  910. He took a chance. He said, I'll still love you.

  911. I'll die for you.

  912. He gave us, He lends his life to us, even

  913. if we never receive him. Never reciprocated to the Lord

  914. right verse thirty five. But love your neighbor, Love your neighbor,

  915. love your end. Me is do good and lend, hoping

  916. for nothing in return, and your reward will be great,

  917. and you will be sons of the most High. Hard

  918. bit it's a very difficult pill to swallow. Right, your

  919. reward will be great, and you will you and you'll

  920. be like the sons of the most High.

  921. For God is kind to the unthankful, and evil. Okay,

  922. how are we gonna be like Jesus?

  923. Now?

  924. You want to be like Jesus? Very hard?

  925. Right, but yeah, that's what God wants to transform us

  926. in a whole person. So many areas, but just just

  927. saying on this area, like, how can I be more

  928. like Christ in the way we give? He wasn't even

  929. talking about money here, talking about forgiveness, talking about you know,

  930. letting it go, let it go, let it go.

  931. Didn't belong to frozen Jesus. Okay, this said.

  932. Let me go, never mind, don't get your pot bags? Okay,

  933. Emlia buy you another one, just let it go.

  934. Don't hate him?

  935. You know that? All right?

  936. So how to be like Christ?

  937. When we take a step of faith? Amen, we want

  938. to believe that he is, believe that He's a reward

  939. of those who seek him. We grow closer in our

  940. intimate relationship than I think. We're all in a journey

  941. of knowing God more, how he works, how he how

  942. he believes in us, how he thinks, how he's merciful,

  943. how he's gracious.

  944. And I think every time when God bless us, I just.

  945. Want to give myself to the Lord. Right, ayo, you

  946. tell me God has blessed you so much. What do

  947. you want to do? You give yourself to the Lord.

  948. You serve him, you love him, you give them you don't.

  949. I'm too busy.

  950. Now I'm so successful.

  951. A bye. Thank you Jesus. God bless me so much,

  952. and I'm happy that you're blessed. You ought to be.

  953. You children, you're his kid.

  954. But there's the intimacy where he speaks to your heart

  955. and you say, but I don't have enough. No, but

  956. give what you have.

  957. Sometimes a wallet of fifty and one dollar very hard

  958. to give offering. No, I just give the one that

  959. you understand, Red God, I need the fifty. But yet

  960. I know by teaching they'rein't generous with my one dollar

  961. for the lot because I don't just give to the church,

  962. to the building, or you think it's going to the bastard.

  963. Giving it to the Lord, regardless who you think the

  964. man is, a woman is, you give it to the Lord.

  965. I give it to the Lord. So my intimacy is

  966. with the Lord.

  967. Once it's given, you're responsible how you're going to spend it.

  968. Hope we spend it right for the church. But whatever

  969. the need is, so our relationship matters. Our intimacy, and

  970. then how we give. We want to grow in the

  971. likeness of Christ. God always believes in us. If no

  972. one believes in you, Jesus this, he believe you enough

  973. for you not to reject him. And we did amen

  974. to be like Christ. That's what Paul is asking. This

  975. is what Christ is say. Let it go, love, give,

  976. don't have to ask, BacT you don't have I will provide. Right.

  977. And then this thirty three thirty five following that, look

  978. six thirty three thirty five. Yeah, I gave you that right,

  979. and and then and then there's this thing where where

  980. Jesus continues.

  981. On this this the likeness is just constantly just giving to.

  982. The Lord and then just loving God, giving to the Lord,

  983. not to man, not to women, because we want to

  984. be like Christ. It's such a heart lesson sometimes. Yeah,

  985. someone someone said yesterday, it's very hard to keep up.

  986. Please don't keep up. To be on fire, you shouldn't

  987. be keeping up, you should be flowing.

  988. Don't keep up. I have to do my quiet.

  989. I have to climb up a mountain. Oh, I have

  990. to be kind, I have to be faithful. Don't keep up.

  991. That's not the way we do life. In Christ. We

  992. flow with the Lord. You are blessed. You flow with

  993. the Lord. You just you just, and some people you don't.

  994. You don't even to do anything. God still bless you.

  995. Love serious, then only you have to I'm so blessed,

  996. I'm so blessed. So I'm so blessed.

  997. Amen, we respond to the Lord. What is he saying

  998. to you? You're so blessed? What is he saying to you?

  999. Those questions like what does it mean to give yourself?

1000. First to the Lord? Amen, what does it.

1001. Look like when you're stuck between? Are you going to

1002. give yourself? When you're in plenty or when you're in lack?

  1003. Do you still give?

1004. It's not about your money or your things. It's about

1005. your heart that God is after. Because when my heart

1006. is in the right place, everything else flows flows, not

1007. keeping up. Not climb every mountain. Now it's the sound

1008. of music. Okay, don't climb every mountain. No, the sound

1009. of music. This one is faith in Jesus. You get

1010. to one level of faith, to another level of faith,

1011. to another level of faith, until God says, come and.

1012. You walk into glory. Our eternity is not earth.

1013. God has a new Earth and a new Heaven for us. Amen,

1014. So you had to take dominion. There's another message I say,

1015. I spoke that at camp. But yeah, grow into the

1016. likeness of Christ. Amen, be like Jesus. He teaching us

1017. how so villain on this area even of giving. But

1018. as I said, he's after our hearts.

  1019. All right.

1020. And then lastly, number four, sewing for eternity, abounding on earth.

1021. As you sow towards eternity, you will abound on earth.

1022. There's just how God is you bless you as you give,

1023. He blesses you, you abound on earth. Amen. So some

1024. of the verses we want to look at is Matthew

1025. six again Matthew six, nineteen to twenty four, nineteen to

  1026. twenty four?

1027. Here we go? Where am I going to? Matthew six?

1028. Okay twenty four? Ooh, I think it's Luke. No, yes, Matthew, correct,

1029. Matthew six. I was reading opposite versus. Sorry kiss Matthew

1030. six nineteen Just now I was looking at Matthew instead

1031. of look. Okay Matthew six, nineteen to twenty four. All right,

1032. do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth where

1033. Mouth and Russ destroy and where thieves break in and steal,

1034. but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither

1035. moth nor Russ destroys, and where thieves do not break

1036. in and steal. For where your treasure is there, your

1037. heart will be also whoa. So I've read this forever,

1038. but it keeps coming back, these new lessons for where

1039. your treasure is there, your heart will be whoa. You

1040. know when you like that guy I use a treasure.

1041. Your name is ket Jin, So we're like that guy.

1042. I just wanted to be where you are, all right?

1043. Where your treasure is there, Your heart will be like

1044. always thinking about that person, right because you are in

1045. love and you want to be with I want to

1046. be with you, all right. And same thing here Jesus

1047. is saying where your treasure is there, your heart will

1048. be if you are sewing into me and Ma, you're

1049. gonna be asking me, how's the pastor doing, how's the

  1050. church doing?

1051. Your how's the war going on? They're alive and they

  1052. did what's going on?

1053. You are? Asked me? Because you just saught five k

1054. doing two thousand there you said, we want to help

1055. the orphanage there were you will be asking where your

1056. treasure is you will constantly ask me how, how how

1057. is my funds helping? And you will be where your

1058. heart is, your treasure there, your heart will be there.

1059. So Jesus, I guess he's pointing out and I'm thinking treasure, war, treasure,

1060. Treasure must be something very precious. Why did Jesus say,

1061. if you this, this thief wants to steal? Why do

1062. thief want to steal? Still? What? Right? It has to

1063. be very precious? Right, it's a treasure. It must be

1064. very important. And he mentions that the thief will break

1065. into your house and steal.

  1066. So we can invest.

1067. And again, as I said, God gives you power to

1068. make wealth, invest and you're really good investors. Please, I'm

1069. not talking about that. I'm just saying, when we are

1070. building the wealth, have we had that act of faith?

1071. Number one? Have we had the intimacy with the Lord?

  1072. Just ask him.

1073. I'm investing lot where you know, what is it that

1074. you are wanting me to do with this investment? Amen?

1075. While we're building on earth, because my way words is

1076. so for eternity. This guy was sowing onto the earth

1077. and then you only think earth. But when you sow

1078. and with the mind of Christ, with the act of faith.

1079. You're going to be sowing eternity. You think about this.

1080. There is a bad thank in heaven called Bank of Heaven,

1081. not public bank. That bank will collect your investment. And

1082. how you have sown your money. You invested in lives,

1083. You invested in things that will go longer and further,

1084. invest build, build your wealth. But so where are you

1085. sowing it into? I've asked myself where am I sowing into?

1086. I'm just doing earthwork? Am doing what God wants me?

1087. What is it that we're building that will be lasting forever?

1088. So so into eternity. So the Lord in this verse

1089. it says, you know this is but lay up for

1090. yourself treasures in heaven so that nobody can rob you

1091. and steal anything from you.

  1092. Sow into heaven.

1093. Whatever you're giving, your time, your treasure, your talent, you

1094. give first to the Lord.

1095. That's why it's first you law, give your heart first, law.

1096. Right, Then you're sewing, not just forgetting all about the

1097. eternity and just doing the earth work. Then we don't

1098. know where it's going to end up in. And the

1099. Lord therefore reminds us that where our treasure is there,

  1100. our heart will.

  1101. Be also amen.

1102. Philippians, chapter four, verse seventeen. Philippians, Chapter four, verse seventeen says,

1103. see Paul was encouraging the church to give to the

1104. needs of the persecuted church in Jerusalem. So this is

1105. what happens in Philippians. And Paul said to them, as

1106. you give, you have to read the whole thing. Then

1107. you understand. You know, when you say I can do

1108. all things to Christ who strengthens me, you're taking only

1109. the text without the context.

1110. And you think everything I can do.

1111. No, you can do all things to Christ who strengthen you,

1112. because the whole context is that they were giving in

1113. their lack. And then he says, in Christ, I can

1114. do all things to Christ who strengthens me, even with

1115. the lack. And Paul say to the church, I'm not

1116. asking you to give because I want your gift. Not

1117. that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit

1118. that abounds to your account. When we started the church

1119. with threw three people, God told pass the collect and offering.

1120. Pass said embarrassedly to the Lord, how can I do

1121. that three people? What kind of offering? Said, don't rob

1122. my people for the opportunity to see an abounding gift?

  1123. To their account giving.

1124. And if you give with thinking that it's for because

1125. you are giving to this and just no, you give

1126. the gift because pauses. God wants to abound to your

1127. account that you will never lack, because as you give,

1128. it will come back to you. Rest down, shaken together.

  1129. It doesn't. It's not I give it a lot.

1130. No give as the Lord puts in your heart to give,

1131. so for eternity abound on earth. Live well, God's blessing

1132. on your life. But he says the gift will come

1133. back to you. I'm not asking you to give me,

1134. and if you have to read the whole things, I

1135. will work for my living. I will build tens, I

1136. will do whatever I will put my hands to work.

1137. I'm not asking for your gift for me. But as

1138. you give to the needs of others, share out. You

1139. read that in Corinthians he says that no one will

1140. like The one who has more will not have too much,

1141. the one who has less won't have too little.

  1142. But we will share.

1143. Learning a lessons that we're learning right. So remember when

1144. you give, don't see this. I'm giving to an.

  1145. Account called ex church.

1146. I think if you haven't changed our minds yet, you've

1147. got to allow Holy Spirit to say it's an.

1148. Act the faith. I want to do it by faith. Amen.

1149. I want to have that intimacy with the Lord. I'm

1150. also growing in the likeness of Christ. When I give

1151. God just automatic it's his blessing. As you give, it

1152. will come back to you. That's all He's hard for us.

  1153. Amen.

1154. Another verse in Proverbs eleven, like this verse Proverbs eleven

1155. says to us Proverbs Chapter eleven, verse twenty four says,

1156. there is one who scatters, yet increase small. There's one

1157. who withholds more than is right but leads to poverty.

1158. The generous soul will be made rich.

1159. He who waters others will also be watered himself.

  1160. Amen.

1161. Scripture is not me. I'm learning as well as I

1162. read it. We're like WHOA, If I scatter my bread

1163. to many waters, it will feed others, but I will not.

  1164. Have a lack.

1165. The woman with two mites through in all that she had,

1166. not extra all that she had. We will say, silly woman,

1167. you have no food now. But I believe Jesus said

1168. when she gave it would come back to her. Pressed down,

1169. shaken together, running over doesn't record what happens but the

1170. Lord looked at not the mound but her heart of saying,

1171. that's all I have, Jesus, I give so whatever we have.

1172. As a young person from a family that lost everything,

1173. my church had a building fund. I wanted to give

1174. to the building fund, but I had no money for

1175. my parents to give. So what we do underage can't

1176. work sixteen, I don't think it can really work loud

1177. maybe can la McDonald's. I tried to find work with

1178. GFC and McDonald's. No one wanted to hire a year,

1179. so the Lord opened a door that I do advertisements

1180. for TV ads. Many years ago, I was the cornetto girl. Yes,

1181. I just yeah, eat ice cream a fat face, okay

1182. and uh And of course I've been doing it for

1183. TV for a long time. And then as I grew

1184. and became a Christian, I didn't want to do any

1185. more ads because some of the ads were just not

1186. nice to do. So I say no, so my agent

1187. will have to choose the right ads for me. And

1188. most of it if I want to do without not

1189. doing art stuff was to eat food ads. Of course

1190. I quite jubby chocolate ad, ice cream ad. You're all

1191. food one, But that's how God provided because I said, look,

1192. I want to give to my church building fund.

  1193. I don't have money.

1194. My dad wasn't a believer yet and he lost everything.

1195. Mam was babysitting. I had to go back to school

  1196. and work and study.

1197. How do you give? The Lord provided the.

1198. Face to do an ad to earn some money, and

1199. it all went to my church. But there's a desire

1200. and God provides. It was the act of faith, and

1201. it was a food ad, not some face bathings. I

1202. wouldn't do all that. No, no smoking, that's a very

1203. big time. Was to do cigarettes. Peter Stuyvesant very well, pid.

  1204. I wouldn't do cigarette ads. I tell my agent, I

  1205. don't do cigarette ads. Don't be I don't do beer ads.

1206. Why you're you are so you cannot allow only sixteen

1207. seventeen at that time eighteen. God provides you have a

1208. desire to give to God's house. He will provide for

1209. you where there are so many ways, right, sometimes just

1210. he will do it for us. You scatter your bread,

1211. you will come back. I didn't have a scholarship to study,

1212. I didn't have the funds. God provided and I managed

1213. to finish whatever in two years and get out there

1214. who work so that I could provide for my family.

1215. We didn't have, but always gave whatever ten percent, five

1216. dollars worth, ten percent, fifty cents, ten dollars fifty dollars.

  1217. Just give.

1218. Now we've learned to give more than ten percent, because

1219. God deserves more than what I owe him ten percent.

1220. He enables us to give, and don't count what's left back,

1221. because what's left back is still ninety percent, eighty percent

1222. more than enough. Gone for the days I didn't have shoes,

1223. gone for the day's when it was three dollars forty

1224. two cents. God is faithful, He provides, He provides all

1225. the time, He uses people, He provides from the skyact.

1226. I just want to say, so for eternity, you were

1227. abound on earth, while we are on earth.

1228. Whatever our need may be amen.

1229. I just want to end by saying we need to

1230. develop that spirit of cheerful and joyful heart of giving

1231. all the time. Don't calculate sense and until send or

1232. so you count. I never I don't do that. But

1233. as they say, the rich keeps getting richer and the

1234. poor people like us gives remaining there. There's always done

1235. there because we don't count the sense. But regardless, when

1236. is it easier to give yourself to the Lord at

1237. the march plenty or when is less than the plenty?

1238. You have to answer that. For me, every day can

1239. be Christmas. Every day God can bless you with a gift.

1240. He uses people, and I'm very grateful for people who

1241. have come into our lives to bless us. People are

1242. strangers who just bless us. I don't know how God provides.

1243. He does. Funds come in for a need for the

1244. church many years ago when this is mostly adults. When

1245. we started, Albert was only seventeen and eighteen. What money

1246. you're gonna give us for the church?

1247. Albert and friends Pastor had to go pray, go door

1248. to door to knock at friends to.

1249. Ask for money. So Pass has done his heart miles too.

1250. Don't think he sits there and just wait. You know

1251. he goes to people say would you invest in young people? Not?

1252. Would you invest in young people? Would you invest in

1253. young people? I tell you they've all invested, They've all

1254. blessed their blessed today. They gave into a ya. They

1255. gave because we were reaching young people who were lost.

1256. God saw their scattering. They refreshed the young men and

1257. women who are only teenagers then, but they have been

1258. their businesses, blessed, blessed their children, bless I can see

1259. because I know who's door he knocked on.

1260. I tell you that give it will come back to you.

1261. Press down, shaken together, running over whatever it is, because

1262. it is really not just the amount we're talking about.

1263. He's touching our hearts. Act of faith, Take a step

1264. of faith. Want to do anything, please God, do it

  1265. by faith.

  1266. Number two.

1267. Must have relationship with the one who made us. Must

1268. have relationship with the one who gave us. Not oh God, Lord,

1269. he's gonna hit me. No, he's holding out his hand

1270. and say come, holding out his hand.

1271. To you and say come.

1272. So I was just don't know how to respond. That's

1273. because the way we were raised. But I want to

1274. say to you, man, how borring your face can be.

1275. God takes you as you are. If you don't have

1276. the words to say, also, in your heart you say, Lord,

1277. I want to walk with you.

1278. He takes you, He will come. Amen.

1279. So the intimacy Number number three we at the end

1280. of the day, who want to look like Christ. He gave,

1281. He came, He gave he became poor so that you

1282. and I can be rich. He took the cross for us.

1283. He went to the cross, he was poor at that time,

1284. so that today we can have health and be provided for.

1285. I want to be like my master, and it's a

  1286. working I'm a working progress. But that's the step I

1287. dropped closer Jesus. Whenever he had a need, he just

1288. the Lord would provide. And yet God provided him women

1289. who were well off. Many women served the needs of Jesus.

1290. In case you didn't know, look read the book of Luke.

1291. Many women actually served Jesus by providing financially. So God

1292. used people all the time. It doesn't just fall from heaven.

  1293. God's people bless other God's people.

1294. Amen. Not yet, God's people also.

1295. Bless God's people. The wealth of the unrighteous will bless

1296. the righteous. I was blessed by the wealth of the unrighteous,

1297. and then the salvation came to them. All. Two ladies

1298. who supported my education got saved. But their wealth was unrighteous,

1299. meaning they were not yet believe. But they were willing

1300. to support an righteous child of God. Then they give,

1301. and it will come back to you. And they have

1302. not lacked. They're old now they still got a law wealth.

1303. So our God does not shut change you, but give

1304. as he speaks, as you ask, hear his voice.

  1305. You are God sheep.

1306. Amen. And for how are we sowing? So for eternity?

1307. And you abound as well on earth? Amen. Hallelujah. Our

1308. encouragement to you, to myself, can I grow a spirit

1309. of cheerful and joyful heart of giving again? Giving can

1310. be in words, in our treasure, in our time, in

1311. our talent, wherever it is, we can give cheerfully. Amen,

1312. because don't forget. Second Corinthians nine, verse seven says God

1313. God loves a cheerful giver. Now, even if you cannot

1314. smile because you say, my face light hatter, never mind

1315. you push it up, give up? Amen, all right, I cannot.

1316. Smile my face like that, my face like I want

  1317. to do.

1318. Never mind, you push it on your I'm cheerful. It's

1319. the heart that is cheerful, giving of your life, giving

1320. of your treasure, giving whatever is, give cheerfully. Whenever you

1321. have to give, and you're sad and your burden, please

1322. don't give because you won't come back to you, press down,

1323. checking together, running over. I'm sorry, that's not the principle.

1324. You want to press down checking to get a ru

1325. running over, you better give cheerfully, amen, just give laughing

1326. and none amen, okay, just hilariously. The another version says, hilariously,

1327. give to the Lord han okay, and is it this give?

1328. And and it will come back to you pressed down,

1329. checking together running over because you're sewing into eternity, whatever

1330. the amount again, as the Lord speaks to you, and

1331. and as we prepare even to give our anaversary gift

1332. in the end of the man. Friends, if you feel

1333. burdened and you just can't smile and you just hate

1334. to give, please don't give, because it's not gonna come

1335. back to you. Press down, checking to get a running over.

  1336. You are a give. You're happy.

  1337. You can see frouit.

1338. I tell you, there's so much we do that really

1339. is God's enablement to touch many lives, to get into communities.

1340. We can't show you because we have to take you

1341. there then you know, But then we share picture. I'm

1342. sorry we share testimonies, but I hear so many testimonies

1343. of lives themselves who have given of them time, talent, treasure,

1344. that have been blessed so many times over. We may
