You're listening to a message to go from at church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
This morning, I have a message for you. And then
-
the title of this message is dependency, Dependency, What and
-
with whom? Okay, you know, the world is a fascinating
-
place today. And if you throw a stone on any
-
part of this world, you'll find that there is unrest.
-
There are as scripture says, wars and rumors of wars. Hey, guys,
-
I keep telling people that we are so close to
-
the return of Jesus Christ, and we here tend to
-
go about our business. Let me just continue with life
-
as it is. And that's okay, that's okay. Some of
-
us trust in our money, some of us trust in
-
our intelligence. You know, the intelligence in this place is
-
really astounding. I find it difficult to come into X
-
into this building in Na because when I want to
-
enter this rumor, the brain power is so strong I
-
have to fight my way in. Because all you guys
-
are really intelligent. If you throw a stone here, you
-
hit someone who is a real top student GPA four
-
gp a three point five double degree holder Masters. You
-
guys are fascinating and fantastic, you know. But I'm here
-
to tell you there's something better than that, There's something
-
more needed than that. You know, the scripture says in Revelation.
-
I'm gonna I'm gonna just, you know, share a little
-
bit first before I get into the scripture, because I
-
want you to to understand how this came about. You know,
-
scripture says in Revelations that Gog and Magog will come
-
against Israel. You know that. How many of you have
-
read the Book of Revelations. Go and read this book.
-
It's a fascinating book. It's not it's not one of
-
my favorite books. The reason is because it's so difficult
-
to understand, is it. Well, you know, it's very flowery,
-
it's very and we're not flowery. It's it's very abstract.
-
You really got to understand a whole lot of things.
-
But I do know this. The scripture says that Gog
-
and Magog will come against Israel. All right, And and
-
why do we pray for the peace of Jerusalem every Sunday?
-
Do you realize that when that area is peaceful, we
-
will be at peace. And when that era is not peaceful,
-
we are all in trouble. Okay? Who is Gog? Gog
-
is Russia. Did you know that when Iran bombed Israel
-
and Israel was preparing to retaliate, who stood up for Iran? Russia?
-
What did Russia tell you? Israel, watch yourself, don't.
-
Go overboard.
-
Because if you go overboard, you're come against us. And
-
scripture also says magog will come against Israel. You know
-
who is Magoggano Pussure? Yes, who's pussure Iran? Thousands of
-
years ago, Scripture prophesied that these days would happen, and
-
they are unfolding right before our eyes. And of course
-
Israel did retaliate, and they took out the air defense
-
system of Iran and bombed the missile making facilities. And
-
Israel is bracing for a retaliation from Iran any day now.
-
It's expected to happen within the next couple of days.
-
I believe that they will use this as an excuse
-
to counter retaliate and take out the nuclear facilities, which
-
is only a matter of time before that happens. But
-
Scripture also says that kings of the East will march
-
against Israel. Who are the kings of the East? China,
-
what did China say? China said that at a moment's notice,
-
I can raise an army off. We can raise an
-
army off two hundred million. At the time this scripture
-
was written by John there weren't two hundred million people
-
on the face of this earth, so it was a
-
number that he could not fathom. But he said, I
-
heard the number two hundred million, President Xi Jinpeng. I
-
think that's how you pronounced his name, or close enough,
-
said a couple of months ago, or probably a year ago.
-
At a moment's notice, China can raise an army of
-
two hundred million. Now. Kings of the East is also
-
reflective of Red communism. Guess who is also read communist
-
North Korea? And guess what. North Korea just sent three
-
thousand troops to go hand in hand with Russia against Ukraine.
-
And now NATO has told Ukraine, under these circumstances, you
-
are allowed to send the missiles that we give you
-
into the heart of Russia. Hey, you guys, I don't
-
want to scare you, but I want you to be prepared.
-
Jesus is coming against and these are the things that
-
A'm folding right before our eyes. In two days time
-
will be the American elections scriptures is the whole world
-
will turn against is right. That is a prophecy. There
-
is not only one country in the world that stands
-
for it. Countries that US. US is now in deadlock
-
heed for an election between one whom they say is
-
very brash and one whom is the joyful warrior. The
-
joyful warrior hates. Make no mistake who is the joyful warrior.
-
There is one Indian preacher. He is supposed to be
-
a prophet. He says, she is the woman that sits
-
on the beast. I don't know about all that. All
-
I can say is everything now connects with everything else. Okay,
-
so that's wars and rumors or wars. What about the disasters,
-
the the the natural disasters that take place. Are you
-
aware or do you know about the recent Hurricane Helene
-
that swept through North Carolina and those parts of the
-
US and it caused massive flooding and winds of terrible speeds. Man,
-
I saw some of the videos. It is so frightening
-
to see a whole house. I'm not talking about hot
-
you know, I'm talking about house, four room, five room
-
house floating down the river. You go, you check is
-
there floating down the river? And then it goes to
-
this bridge, you know the bridge, because the water now
-
is so high in the water is moving so and
-
when that house goes against the bridge, it ends up
-
like magsticks. I want to share with you something that
-
I read, and this one really brought tears to my eyes.
-
This is a story about a seven year old boy.
-
A seven year old boy called out to Jesus to
-
save him from Hurricane Helene flood waters that carried him
-
away earlier this week. This was at the beginning of October.
-
Seventh of October. Micah Dryer's lifeless body was later found
-
about a quarter a mile away from his home in Ashville,
-
North Carolina, but his mother thinks that he was saved. Nonetheless,
-
you know, I'm so proud of my son because in
-
his last moments, he wasn't screaming for me. He was
-
screaming Jesus, Jesus, save me. Jesus. I'm calling upon you,
-
said Megan dry the boy's mother, in an interview. See
-
the water was moving so fast the mother couldn't get
-
to the boy. How heart wrenching is that? Right? Micah
-
said he always wanted to be a superhero, and instead
-
he's my hero because he reached out for something past flesh,
-
past human past anything that even grown adults I think
-
would reach for. My son called out to the One
-
God Almighty, Riya said, and I think at that moment
-
he was rescued. Hurricane Helen was made itself land for Uh. Okay,
-
this is what he was said, this is what he said. Okay.
-
So when he was screaming, Jesus, Jesus saved me a
-
little later, the mother heard him shout this, Jesus, I
-
hear you, or even as I tell you that, it's
-
just looking, you know, all the hairs on my hands,
-
all standing, Jesus, I hear you. Who or what are
-
we dependent on? Who are we looking to in our lives?
-
I've told you this before. My sister she passed away
-
from cancer about three or four years ago. She spent
-
close to two hundred and seventy thousand dollars on treatment.
-
It's a quarter of a million dollars she spent on treatment.
-
And in the last week, literally her last week, she
-
sat by my side. She held my hand and she said, Terence,
-
I do not know what else to do. I told her,
-
there's nothing else for you to do. You've done everything
-
you need to do, because throughout your trials, throughout your sicknesses,
-
only one thing remains on your lips, the name of Jesus,
-
and you have not stopped speaking the name of Jesus.
-
You don't need to do anything else, you see, I
-
want you to know if you think that, oh, a
-
person trusts in Jesus for healing and doesn't get healing
-
and succumbs to their illness, that they have failed. Really
-
is that what you think, because I'll tell you Ah,
-
Scripture tells me, and I believe in healing. Scripture tells
-
me that all those who came to Jesus and said Jesus,
-
when you hear me, he healed them all. That's what
-
scripture says. So am I supposed to believe in scripture
-
all the time, even if I don't seem to see
-
it happening. I will continue to believe it all the
-
time because that's what scripture says. But I also want
-
to know there's some other kind of scripture that tells
-
us about a certain group of people who stand up
-
for the name of their God. Look at Job, when
-
sicken came against Job and took his economy away, took
-
his children away, took everything that he had to away,
-
cause sickness to come on his body. Job held the
-
name of God on his lips and would not curse God.
-
And you know what, God was so proud and told
-
the devil. You see, this is what it means to
-
have someone believe in me, and God gave him back everything.
-
You see. You and I don't know what's going on
-
in spiritual realms, but I do know this that God
-
is boasting about those who continually stand up for the
-
name of Jesus. And if some of us haven't gone
-
into you know, the whole world to preach the gospel
-
like like you know how we should, but at least
-
we stand up for the name of Jesus in something
-
like this. Jesus is prad So I want to ask
-
you again, who are we dependent on? Are we dependent
-
on our health? Because I'll tell you this health is fleeting.
-
It's good to have, but how many of you know
-
it's no fun to grow old. Man. I've got aches
-
and pains and muscles I never knew I had. I
-
just wake up in the morning and I'm hurting from
-
head to toe. Seriously, you know, my back is killing me.
-
Praise the lot at my back is not hurting now,
-
but I tell you, when I get up in the morning,
-
I wonder whether I actually rested or not, because you know,
-
it's just in pain all the time. Why am I
-
telling you this? Because it doesn't matter. The pain you
-
experience doesn't matter. What matters is I still wake up
-
in the morning, praise the Lord. Thank you Lord. I
-
got up at three in the morning or three thirty
-
in the morning to pray for the message, and I'm
-
thinking to myself, Lord, I don't think today I'm gonna
-
go walking in the morning because my back is not
-
too good. So if it's okay with you, I'll just
-
pray here. So what I did was I got down
-
on my knees and I prayed for the service this morning.
-
And that's okay. Well, God accepted absolutely, because in my discomfort,
-
I'm still acknowledging who Jesus who am I dependent on? Hey, guys,
-
I made a joke about intelligence, and many of us
-
here are very intelligent. But I got to ask you
-
this question, even as I ask myself that I'm not
-
saying I'm intelligent, but I need to ask do we
-
rely on our intelligence? Is that what we depend on? Guys?
-
The world is moving faster than we care to admit.
-
You know, those guys me here, anyone here in it,
-
anyone here in it, no one here in I You
-
know what I tell the IT people. You are the
-
bravest people I know. Do why I say? You have
-
picked that career which becomes obsolete every six months, So
-
you have to completely every six months retrain yourself otherwise
-
you get left behind. Do you know? Even doctors don't
-
have that problem. You know, because once a doctor learns,
-
if you've got a few give pani dolar forever fifty years.
-
He's a doctor. When somebody got a fever, give panadolar
-
for love be healed. He only has to learn it once.
-
But the poor it guy every six months, he's got
-
to retrain himself. Intelligence are we relying on? You know?
-
I get a lot of things done because I rely
-
on the Lord. I get a lot of things done
-
because I trust in the law. The newer skill that
-
God taught me was so I have this glass door right,
-
it slides open. It's a big door. It's it's about
-
nine feet high, and it's it's quite a solid glass
-
door with a with a frame. So I go early
-
walking early in the morning. Is so irritating to carry keys,
-
you know, a bunch of keys. You can't leave it around,
-
you know, And I'm not going to take out one
-
or two keys, So my whole it's very uncomfortable. I said,
-
what did I do? So Lord, what do I do?
-
Put a smart log? Okay, praise the lot, so I
-
canna put smartknock on the door. Elder Maeoble said, don't
-
you touch my door. I don't want to see any
-
ugly lock where it is now it looks nice, don't
-
touch it. So I say God, what do I do?
-
And God gave me an idea. Have you heard of
-
a drop log boat? You know when when you press
-
the button, the boat goes up. When the button is
-
not pressed, it comes down and it locks the door.
-
And I've never used this before, and I never really
-
heard of it before. But when the Lord put my
-
put this idea in my head and I researched, say hey,
-
it's there, then what to do? Try it out? Say God,
-
what do I do? And you know, the Lord actually
-
built in my head the idea of what to do.
-
And when I had the whole picture, I sat down
-
on I didn't sit down. I actually worked on it.
-
This deeper valevers two days ago, right or three days ago?
-
And I fixed this lock and it works. Man. So
-
now when I have to go out, I got to
-
go it touch the sensor and then I can open
-
the door and put it in a lock. I can
-
go on my walks and when I come back, I
-
just punched the code in or put my fingerprint and
-
it opens.
-
Wow.
-
Praise the Lord. Trust the Lord. In anything he will
-
give you ideas, is that my intelligence? I will never
-
say that, you know why, because the day I say
-
it's my intelligence, the ideas will stop coming. I want
-
God to be there helping me each in every step
-
of the way. So what has this got to do
-
with anything? Hey? Your money? You think your money can
-
get you out of trouble. You know what Steve Job said,
-
better to be a puppet and a billionaire as a cemetery.
-
Guess where he ended up. He was a billionaire and
-
he ended up in his cemetery. Did his billions? Were
-
his billions able to help you? No? I want to
-
draw your attention to Isaiah forty thirty one. Yes, yes, yes,
-
everything I said has got scripture. Don't worry, I'm not
-
going to share any heresy with you. But those that
-
wait on the Lord shall what renew their strength. They
-
shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run
-
and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint.
-
I like the amplified version because the amplified version amplifies. Okay,
-
this is what it says. But those who wait for
-
the Lord, who expect and look for and hope in Him,
-
will gain new strength and renew via power. They will
-
lift up their wings and rise up close to God,
-
like eagles rising towards the sun. They will run and
-
not become weary. They shall walk and not grow tired.
-
I need to tell us that this world tends to
-
deplete our strength. Is that true? I mean, you go
-
to work even as the boss, you got everything all planned.
-
Just when you think you're about to run with it,
-
your clients come up with some new crazy idea that
-
pushes you back to the drawing board. Am I right?
-
Is that happen? It doesn't it? It's quite tiring, right,
-
all those hours you put wasted, isn't it? This world
-
has a way of trying to defeat you, trying to
-
tie you to the point that you cannot continue. And
-
how many of you have heard this, I'm burnt out.
-
How many of you have heard this statement before I'm
-
burnt out? How many of you are burning out? How
-
many of you are burnt out? Okay, those of you
-
that put up your hands, I'm gonna be straight, Okay,
-
I'm gonna be saying it like it is. Please forgive
-
me if it sounds a little bit harsh. When you
-
say you have burnt out, you have gloriously put the
-
blame on somebody else. I am burnt out because this
-
people crowned me to the ground, They drove me to
-
the ground, They worked me until I sweated blood. Okay,
-
you have put the blame on somebody else. And I
-
want us to know this, and I'm speaking to myself
-
as well, that when we say we have burnt out,
-
let's be honest. We have coughed out. We have given up.
-
We have removed ourself from the action. Who removed ourselves
-
from the action? Did God remove remove us from the action? No,
-
we have disqualified ourselves. I am burnt out. Look, first
-
things first, get this in our hearts and our heads.
-
There is no such thing as burnt out. There is
-
no such thing knock off that straight away, and you'll
-
find that your life will always be moving forward. Your
-
life will never be the same because you do not
-
give room to the lie of the devil. Burnout is
-
a lie of the devil, and I will prove it
-
to you. Do you know? In Isaiah forty twenty eight
-
it says this, have you not known to understand the context?
-
Okay of verse that he have you known? Have you
-
not heard the everlasting God? He's everlasting? Okay? That means
-
he did not start yesterday and will end tomorrow. He
-
is everlasting. He is there before you, and he will
-
be there long after you. He's everlasting. The Everlasting God,
-
the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth,
-
neither fains nor is weary. It's not like us, man,
-
His understanding is unsearchable. God is not like us. We
-
cannot drive God to the ground. Do you know that
-
we can't. The only time that Jesus sweated blood was
-
when Jesus was in a relationship with the Father, saying saying, Lord,
-
this separation is more than I can bear. And that's
-
when he really struggled separation from God. But you know
-
that what Jesus did was done out of love for us,
-
because we couldn't do it. He had to do it.
-
Any of us here who do not know Jesus as
-
the Lord and save it. Give your life to him
-
today because he's the only one who was there for
-
you all throughout. So he doesn't fade, He's not tired.
-
He doesn't stress out like we do. Can you mentione
-
if God stressed out? God stressing out? I mean, how
-
do you onor God like that? Who stresses out? You know,
-
it's very funny when you when you when you when
-
you think about the US Army. Now, okay, you compare.
-
Somebody was comparing the the the advertisements to bring in
-
new recruits into the Russian Army. Big tough guys, you know,
-
jumping over, crawling up, strong, muscular, you know, brewing push
-
ups and all that. And then the latest American to
-
bring in sor can you imagine fighting against people that
-
the world, the world, the world's gone crazy. See, God's
-
not like that. We know that He is a strength
-
that we can rely on, you know. In verse twenty nine,
-
and he says this, he gives power to the weak.
-
He gives power to the weak. How can we say
-
we burned out? Am I to trust what we say
-
or am I to trust what God's word says. If
-
He is giving power to the weak and we have
-
burnt out, it means that our relationship with the Lord
-
is very shaky. That's the problem. The problem is not
-
us being weak. The problem is our relationship with God.
-
And to those who have no might, He increases strength.
-
So he recognizes that you may get weak. But you see,
-
at that time, what does he do. He gives you strength,
-
just like He gave my sister strength to go through
-
that terrible time and still have his name on her lips.
-
You see, that is strength. Strength is not when everything
-
is going on you can no, that's not strength. What
-
is strength. Strength is when you cannot handle it, You
-
handle it. When you cannot do it, you do it.
-
That is strength. That's the strength that God gives us.
-
And Isaiah forty thirty, I want you to listen to this.
-
Even the youth, the youths faint and be weary, and
-
the young man shall utterly fall. Do you know what
-
this means. This means that if you think your strength
-
is going to carry you forward, that's what this scripture means.
-
If you think that your ability is going to help
-
you to succeed. If you think your money is going
-
to get it done, if you think anybody else but
-
Jesus can help you, even you shall faint and be weary.
-
This is burnout. And the young man shall utterly fall.
-
This is burnout. What is burnout? The burnout is when
-
you do not wait on the Lord. Because forty thirty
-
one comes to the rescue and says this, But those
-
who wait on the Lord shall renew yes strength. They
-
shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run
-
and not be weary. They shall walk and not fait. Guys,
-
if you're running on empty now, the solution is so easy.
-
I can stand tall a mine neees, I can see
-
forever on mine niees, I can say it all. Oh,
-
I can stand tall on my knees. What mountain is there?
-
You can't climb? Guys, It's nothing you cannot accomplish without
-
Jesus on your side. I remember we went for this
-
X men this X men sports, not supports. It was
-
an outing. We went to this hill, this, this, this
-
area and the wilderness somewhere in Umpung or what and
-
we had to go up this waterfall, you know, climb
-
to the top of this waterfall. And this whole hike
-
was about two kilometers. I did any of we all
-
come for that one? No? Man, I was like about
-
thirty pounds heavier. And we started this journey and I
-
already felt I was going to be carried out in
-
the stretcher because it's two kilometers just going up and
-
it's not a road, okay, crossing over roots and you know,
-
getting into the stream and going over fallen trees. And
-
I tell you, by the time I reached the top,
-
I was gone, man. And I did what no one
-
should ever do. I drank from the stream. I promised
-
you were. The water was the sweetest tasting water I've
-
ever tasted, and it was so nice and cool. And
-
it was so wrong to do, because how many of
-
you know you can get leptospyroses by drinking from the streams.
-
Praise the Lord. I can stand tall on my knees
-
because I trusted in the Lord and he preserved my health.
-
I made it down after that because he gave me strength.
-
I said, God, unless you help me, it's not going
-
to happen. Praise the Lord. He did, you know. And
-
I managed it, not because I could do it, but
-
because God carried me through. I always have in my
-
head and always in the back of my head that
-
God is helping me because I'm asking him, say God,
-
I can't do it without you. I always have that
-
realization in my heart and it saves me a lot
-
of times because Bible says, but those, but those anybody
-
is he?
-
You?
-
Are you one of those scriptures saying anyone, any one
-
of us? You, me, the person on my left, the
-
person I right, anybody, the rich, the poor, the intelligent
-
they're not so intelligent, the management, the blue collar worker,
-
anyone that waits. You know what this word wait mean.
-
In fact, waiter I think comes from it. Waiter is
-
you know, the person is always looking out, looking out,
-
waiting for somebody to put up the hand, waiting for
-
somebody to to call for service, waiting, waiting upon waiter.
-
But in Malaysia's very different. Okay, the waiter practices the
-
art of not seeing, looking but not seeing. How many
-
of you have seen waiters like that? You put up
-
your hand, then you have to walk up to them.
-
Their head is still going left and right. Me I'm
-
calling you, okay, wait day that wait it means that
-
it comes from the word cover, which means something eagerly
-
you do, you eagerly wait, you expect. You got to
-
expect God to work in your life. Man, you got
-
to expect. It's hope, you hope, you hopefully wait for
-
your hoping, your you look eagerly wait, waited for you,
-
eagerly waited patience. You know what. I trust you God,
-
It's going to be okay. I trust you God, It's
-
going to be okay. They So there's the eagerly, there's
-
excited as That's all me also, you know, because as
-
I'm beginning to see these things happen in my head,
-
I say, Wow, God, it's so good. Wow, it's amazing.
-
It's me. I can cannot wait for the day when
-
I had to put it into practice. But you know,
-
I don't have anything written down when it comes to
-
the day where I have to do the worker. I'm
-
just working from what the Lord is already put in
-
my head. Just step by step, I go, do, do
-
and do and do and do. I it's done. Wait
-
anyone who waits on the Lord. It's the proper name
-
for the God of Israel. Do you know that this
-
word lord is used in the Bible close to seven
-
thousand times. But they that wait on this Lord, which
-
the Bible has mentioned seven thousand times. You see, you're
-
not waiting on your boss. You're not waiting on as
-
what I mean. You're not waiting on your intelligence. You're
-
not waiting on your skill. You're not waiting on anything.
-
What are you waiting on? The Bible's Lord, which is
-
mentioned seven thousand times. They that wait on the Lord
-
shall what they shall renew. This word renewer means to
-
pass on or to pass away. Pass Away means God
-
is giving it out. He's passing it out, passing it away,
-
to pass it on. I'm giving you. Also, it also
-
means that I'm giving you my strength to pass through.
-
When strength comes through you, you're able to do great things,
-
change or be changed. Gain you move past or over.
-
You gotta move past or over your problem. That's what
-
it means. You shall renew, you shall sprouten you, you
-
shall sweep through. That's what. If you wait on the Lord,
-
which the Bible mentions seven thousand times, you shall be
-
passed on with, you shall pass over with You shall
-
gain all this Because God shall renew what shall he renew?
-
He shall renew your strength. This strength is the word coatch.
-
Coatch almost like coach. I do not know whether the
-
word coach comes from this, but basically, it's a small reptile,
-
you know, kind of like a lizard, a list of
-
creepy things. You may be a lizard, you may be
-
a lizard. In order to understand this word, you've got
-
to understand you identify with a small lizard. Not much strength.
-
But this is God's strength, God's strength. Let me explain it.
-
And this is actually from what the scripture means physical
-
strength of Samson. You shall have that kind of strength
-
that the Lord is talking about. The Lord is also
-
talking about your ability and your efficiency. Wow, isn't it
-
so wonderful? He will make you efficient in your work.
-
When we are in our working life, don't we want
-
to be efficient? Don't we want people to keep looking
-
at us good. It's so wonderful to trust God every
-
day to give you ideas, because in your work you
-
will always look efficient. Ability the power of a people
-
or a king. What is the power people or a king?
-
Strength of power of the people. The power the people
-
removed Marcus. Many of you were too young or were
-
not born, but Marcus was removed by the power of
-
the people or the power of a king. You know,
-
you could very well be like David. David, it was
-
irrational how people didn't like him or didn't trust him
-
because he was young, he was just a boy, and
-
God still used him. Do you have irrational dislikes for people?
-
Check yourself, because it's that dislike coming from God? Is
-
it coming from your personal competition? You have to check.
-
You don't want to get on the wrong side of this.
-
It is a power conferred by who by God? Can
-
you imagine a power conferred by God? That's the kind
-
of strength that you are hoping to get. Man. It
-
also means this the strength of angels. Oh, you shall
-
renew you shall be renewed. What the strength of angels?
-
The power of God? God? I like this one. The
-
power of animals. Hey, would you come up against an
-
elephant or not? Because in elephant it's very powerful. How
-
about an occa? No, it's an oca killer whale. That
-
tail is so powerful. If it will to slap you,
-
you will be minced meat powerful. It also means this
-
the power of animals. Not make you an animal. But
-
know that even in God's creation which exists today, there
-
are very many powerful creatures. It's talking about extraordinary power.
-
How about the strength of soil. What's good about soil
-
is you know what, when you got good soil, you
-
get good produce. It's talking about that kind her strength
-
as well. So when we looked at this word strength,
-
we didn't realize that it means all these things. It's
-
much more than just muscles. Hey, do you know that
-
the eagle? Let me tell you something about the eagle.
-
Do you know that half of the eagle's body half
-
its muscles that drive its wings. Okay, in the human being,
-
where's the strongest muscle. I think it's a gluteus maximus
-
or the leg muscles. Okay, But the eagle can fly
-
so high wide. Half of its body weight is muscles
-
that drive its wings. And it's no wonder why God
-
you know, identified with that. And the Bible says that
-
they shall mount up, mount up, you shall go up,
-
you shall ascend, you shall climb. It literally means that
-
one who has gone down and descendant or fallen without it.
-
So it's the opposite. You went down, now you go
-
up with wings like eagles. As I told you, half.
-
Can you imagine if I had half of my body
-
with in muscles on my arms instead of my midrift.
-
I really look grotesque, be huge. Yeah, just imagine that's
-
what it is. Wings like eagles. So basically God is
-
telling you you will be imbued or imbued with a
-
strength that is so great. That's why he talks about eagles,
-
because eagles fly. I want you to know that the
-
first thing that happens when you wait on the Lord
-
is what you shall fly. Man. God doesn't work like
-
how we work. You know. You know how we work.
-
We say walk first, love before you run, run first,
-
before you fly. But God works in the other way.
-
You know, this is fly first. And if you cannot
-
manage flying, because you still got to learn some things,
-
you run. You know. The second action where God is
-
concerned is what running. And I tell you this is
-
not just any ordinary run. It's talking about a run
-
with endurance. Do you know that those days are Even
-
in the olden days, when people wanted to pass messages,
-
they would pass it to a coreer, and the courier
-
will run cross country run maybe twenty thirty forty miles
-
very fast, pass it to the next guy, and the
-
next guy will run thirty forty miles and so on.
-
And so forth. How many of you know that if
-
those guys were to compete in the marathon today, they
-
will win hands down. They would because they were powerful,
-
they were fast, and they were you know, they had
-
great stamina. Scripture is telling that's how we will run.
-
We will run with that kind of endurance. It also
-
talks about horses. When Scripture is talking about running, it's
-
not just talking about a pace faster than walking, you know,
-
it's talking about horses. No horses, yes, horses. Do you
-
know that the pony express the horses maybe wrote again?
-
They rode very fast thirty miles and they rest and
-
they do the same thing like a chourious horses. That's
-
the kind of run that Scripture is talking about. And
-
then Scripture says, and we will not, we will not be,
-
We cannot be. You can depend on this. You will
-
not be, you will never be. You will unable to be.
-
You will be incapable of being weary because the strength
-
is supernatural. This last word importent. Guys don't want to
-
be like that. Okay, a guide does not want to
-
be impotent. For those of you that don't know what
-
this means, look it up the dictionary. We'll not discuss
-
it here, but this is what scripture actually is talking about.
-
You will be able to produce, You will be able
-
to handle it. You will be able to If you
-
can't fly, you'll be able to run. You won't be tired,
-
you won't get tired. You won't toil and be worn out.
-
Now you understand why I said that burnout is a
-
lie of the devil. Burnout is the way of the
-
devil keeping you immobilized. You are never meant to be immobilized,
-
because at a moment's notice you can rise up again.
-
How do you rise? Weight on the law, weigh on
-
his word, trust in him, acknowledge him, focus on him.
-
You will never be tired. You will never be worn out. Guys,
-
I have been in church and working in different ministries
-
or capacities ever since. Since I came to the Lord
-
forty five years, I've seen all sorts of things. I've
-
experienced so many kind of disappointments. I've also experienced so
-
many great things and seen so many miracles take place.
-
I can tell you that when I became a Christian,
-
it was times were different or right. It's not like
-
where everybody is so touchy feely now those days when
-
they were touchy Philly, you're in trouble. I was punched
-
in the face because of my faith. Praise the Lord.
-
I still have my front teeth. They did not break.
-
But that's to that extent. I was thrown out of
-
the house because of my faith. I was ostracized because
-
of my faith. It followed me even when I went
-
to study in Singapore and because of my faith, because
-
of what I believed in families fought in Singapore because
-
of me. I did not cause it, but wherever I went,
-
stories followed because we stood up for the Lord. We
-
fought for the name of Jesus against every one who
-
would say otherwise. There was a certain church that was
-
having a program why we and the fate of the
-
majority are one and the same. Me and another guy said, no,
-
it's not the same. We stood up and we challenged
-
those people. We stood up with scripture. Finally they had
-
to ask us to leave because they got no answer.
-
Those are the kind of things that I went through,
-
And it was like that in Klang. Did you know
-
that there was a movement of a revival in Klang?
-
I think it was in the seventies. Gospel hall there
-
was a movement. There was a revival taking place among
-
the kids. Guys. We stood up. We didn't get weary,
-
we didn't get tired. I've been running for forty five years.
-
My body now gets tired, but my heart still was.
-
And elder mable myself have this one thing. If we
-
don't know who's going to do. If we stand up
-
and we say, ah, you know, let's take a seatback.
-
I mean, there's so many people, younger people who are
-
running at tremendous speed in church. Are we not to
-
help them or just leave them to do the job,
-
Because if we leave them to do the job, we're
-
not being fair to them. No, we have to whatever
-
we can do we do to help be a pace
-
is not as fast now. But what you know what
-
Scripture says, if we're not flying, at least we are running.
-
And the best thing is this. If we cannot run,
-
you know what we do we walk. Oh, there is
-
a movement for everybody. There is an opportunities and there
-
is an opportunity for everyone because the Bible says we
-
become greater, we become brighter. That's what walking here means.
-
This word continually glow, we get away, we grow continually,
-
we march, we strut. You know what is strut or not?
-
How many we watch Saturday Night Fever? Okay, it's too
-
old for your love. Have you watched a show before?
-
Some of us who are seven and the sixties we watched, right,
-
and when when John Volda walks down the street, he's
-
got Yeah, it's a strut. That's what scriptures say. If
-
we're not running, people are looking at us strutting. Wa Wow,
-
you're so old you can still move? Yes, we continually move.
-
You know, we don't stop. There is one time when
-
we stop. You know, when we stop, when we go
-
and see the Lord, that's the time to stop. So, guys,
-
if you're in your thirties, serve God until your eighties.
-
If you are serving God in your sixties, serve God
-
through your nineties. Don't stop because scripture never ever tells
-
us to stop. What does it say? At the very
-
least we walk? And the Bible says that even those
-
who walk, they will not fait. So that's an encouragement
-
to me because maybe I'm not running now, I'm walking,
-
But the Bible says I will not become exhausted, I
-
will not become weary. I will still be able to grow.
-
I will still be able to grow. I want to
-
end you. I want to end with a few scripture
-
here to drive home this point. Why did I go
-
on this? Well? God wants us to depend on him.
-
He wants us to look on him even as things
-
become tighter in this world. We need to look beyond
-
our own personal capabilities, but keep Him in view all
-
the time. In Proverbs sixteen three, he says, commit your
-
works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established. Wow,
-
isn't this wonderful? He gives your thoughts you commit in
-
unto the Lord, and those thoughts of yours can become fruit.
-
Now you know why I get so proud, proud and
-
excited about those little things that I can do, like
-
the do loock. Why because my thought and I committed
-
into the Lord, and he established it with success. In
-
one bit of five seven, he says, casting all your
-
cads on him, for he cares for you. He doesn't
-
say give it to him, you know. He says, take
-
that rotten burden and throw it at Jesus. Trusts me
-
he can catch you. Think baseball catches. Jesus has never
-
missed a catch before throw it at him. He will
-
catch it. Why because he cares for you. In Psalms
-
thirty seventy five, he says, commit your way to the
-
Lord God. I'm going this way trust also in Him,
-
and I believe Lord that you will keep me safe
-
and he shall bring it to pass. You won't be disappointed.
-
In Philippians four six Sevenes says, be anxious for nothing,
-
but in everything by prayer, supplication, with thanksgiving. Let your
-
requests be made known to God. Lord. I thank you
-
you are able to do this because You're a glorious God.
-
Help me with this? Can you help me with this?
-
Let your requests be made to God, and may not
-
to God and the peace of God, which surpass us
-
all understanding. Will God your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
-
I have seen this happen so many times when I've
-
gone through some real tough issues. God has come through.
-
He has never failed me it and Matthew six thirty
-
three says, but seeky first the Kingdom of God. At
-
the end of the day, SEEKI first the Kingdom of
-
God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added.
-
Unto you, guys, if you forget everything. You can't remember
-
anything that I've said this morning, just remember this. You
-
will never be disappointed if you continuously trust and depend
-
on the Lord, because he is the only one who
-
will be able to help you in every thing. Praise
-
the Lord.
