  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your.

  3. D today that the message is when it rains, it pours. Wow,

  4. you're really wowed, right, I don't know as we are.

  5. You know, you know how many of you can read Chinese? Here?

  6. Lift lift your hands. Oh quite a fabit.

  7. Yeah, so you if you read the Chinese world, right,

  8. it's the English world.

  9. It's just when it rains, it pours.

  10. By remandering, as I was preparing this message, right at

  11. that time, I figured out how it is said in

  12. such a poetic way.

  13. Oh you the e e you chingpen.

  14. It just means that if it doesn't rain, it doesn't rain,

  15. but if it rains, it pours.

  16. I don't know this. The Chinese world is so poetic, right,

  17. it sounds so good.

  18. Now it's like, yeah, oh what tindin shak you the shin?

  19. What Jata coming reready? Yes?

  20. Jayta is coming in October? Yes, yeah, we couldn't get tickets.

  21. But you know it's just sup poetic. But you and

  22. I who have gone through this, you know it's nowhere

  23. near poetic. When it rains, it pour used, it's just

  24. make everything worse and so much worse. Yeah, so I'm

  25. sure all of you have a I mean, if you

  26. have lived on planet Earth for quite some time, I'm

  27. sure by now you would have some experiences of this.

  28. If you have not, please pray for us.

  29. Pray for me, you know. Let me just share with

  30. you of my recent experience. But before that, let's get

  31. to the scripture for us. Let's look at a scripture

  32. Exodus fourteen, verse thirteen to eighteen. In this account that

  33. Moses was saying to the people, do not be afraid. No,

  34. that's where the account where the people of Israel. They

  35. came up from Egypt. You know, there can be miracles

  36. when you believe. Yes, Yah, they came up from Egypt.

  37. And then in front of them they will raaid see

  38. and behind of them they were Pharaoh's army. It was

  39. right then then and then Moses said to the people,

  40. do not be afraid. Stand still, still still, and see

  41. the salvation of the Lord which he will accomplish for

  42. you today. For the Egyptians, whom you see today, you

  43. shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight

  44. for you, and you shall hold your peace. And fifteen

  45. and the Lord said to Moses, why do you cry

  46. to me, tell the children of Israel to go forward

  47. sixteen but lift up your lod and stretch out your

  48. hand over the sea and divide it.

  49. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground

  50. through the midst of the sea. And I indeed will

  51. harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them.

  52. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all

  53. his army, his cherios, and his horsemen. Then the Egyptians

  54. shall know that I am the Lord.

  55. Then I have when I have gained honor for myself

  56. over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen. Amen, this, let

  57. me show you why this came about. You know, I'm

  58. sure seriously all of us would have or most of

  59. us here would have some rounds of any rains it pours.

  60. But recently, and let me just share with you another round.

  61. Not that's where this message came about, quite a few

  62. weeks ago. If we have gotten a prayer link to

  63. pray for Lucas. Lucas is my youngest brother. Actually, so

  64. there was one week that he there's one there's one

  65. one night that he started feeling very unwell. He was

  66. showing up, he was having fever, and then the next morning,

  67. I remember I was at work and I told my mom, oh,

  68. he's not well. Then maybe bringing to the heart to

  69. see the doctor. So he went to see the doctor.

  70. My mom brought him. Uh he was chowing up by then,

  71. and the doctor saw some blood tests and all that,

  72. and then say that, oh, his blood his white cells

  73. count is very very high, so you need to bring

  74. him to the hospital straight away. So so I was like, oh, okay,

  75. blood white cells count very high. Yeah, and the doctor

  76. he wrote the reference letter and said to my parents

  77. that you need to bring him to the hospital straight away.

  78. This is very very urgent.

  79. And then so I was finding out like which hospital

  80. to go, you know, talking to the insurance agent and

  81. all that, and then asked my mom, So, mom, have

  82. you gotten the reference letter. My mom said, yeah, I've

  83. gotten the reference letter. I said what did the reference

  84. letter say? And my mom said, oh, the reference letter

  85. from doctor from from the from the GP. He says

  86. to hermatology. So I'm like, hang on, hoematology.

  87. I know what that is. That is black t the

  88. department hermatology.

  89. I know why because my dad was diagnosed with informal

  90. a few years back. So I know exactly what department

  91. that is, all right, why is it hermatology? But I

  92. didn't want to scare my mom, so I said, okay,

  93. the doctor's hermatology, but let's find out which hospital has won,

  94. and let's bring him to ear first. So that's exactly

  95. what my parents did. So long story short, he was

  96. in the er and he was immediately admitted to a

  97. HDU because his situation was quite bad. And they did

  98. my eyes scared, they did city scared, found out and

  99. saw his lungs. His right lungs was very very white colored.

  100. So if you know what.

  101. That means, it just means that it's something is in

  102. his lungs, his right lungs infection. So doctor said infection.

  103. We do not know what is it. It looks like

  104. it's pneumonia. And of course so he started lying. So

  105. he was in the hospital for I remember there was

  106. a Thursday and then Friday and then the doctor Yeah,

  107. it was it was very killty because it was very sudden, right.

  108. So so that was Thursday and Friday.

  109. I remember I rushed there after work with and then

  110. we were looking, uh yeah, I was hoping to talk to.

  111. The doctor and all that.

  112. But you know, in times like that, right, God, it's

  113. steel good because whenever I reached there, doctor happened to

  114. be there. You see, nothing happens by coincidence, you know,

  115. but it's really God. Know. So I know my title

  116. is when it rains, it paused, but I don't want

  117. to tell you that even when it rains, when it paused,

  118. God is there.

  119. And also we went there and then and then of

  120. course the doctor.

  121. Said, okay, I know your GP referred to him, referred

  122. him to hermatology.

  123. But I don't think it looks like it, the doctor said.

  124. The especially staid, and they said that it looks like

  125. he's Basically, it says that his infection is very bad

  126. and he needs to be on antibodies immediately.

  127. And he was very weak, who couldn't breathe.

  128. So so doctor had to the nurses will have to

  129. monitor him. And then and then he said, but we

  130. need to do a procedure called bronco scopy, basically is

  131. to go into his uh, every branch of his lungs

  132. right to to clear out all this stuff, this this flame,

  133. this stuff that's blocking his airways, and also to take

  134. out a specimen to to do some tests to know

  135. exactly what is it, what is causing it? Yeah, so

  136. of course when you do the specimen, uh, they will

  137. have to test it either it's bacterial, virus or cancer.

  138. So it just means that, right.

  139. So I was like, okay, I didn't want to tell

  140. my parents too much because they want to scare them.

  141. So my father was still thinking he hate too much lost,

  142. so not well, seriously, my father is like that one

  143. it's okay, last, that's okay.

  144. Nothing much show.

  145. It's okay, I know, I tell my dad know that,

  146. let me tell you these possibilities. Yeah, and in a

  147. way that they would not scare them too much, you know.

  148. So so it was there and then. But the thing

  149. is they couldn't do any do the procedure any earlier

  150. because the especialists because he needs to be put on

  151. GA and the GA team is very busy, so the

  152. earliest slot is Monday. So from Thursday in right, Friday, Saturday,

  153. Sunday Monday only can do the thing. So in the

  154. between all these days he had to be on antibiotics.

  155. So I thought, okay, never mind, we trust God, you know,

  156. we trust God. So that was a few days. So

  157. every day we were there as soon as I could have.

  158. I went to the hospital because I wanted to see

  159. how I was doing. And uh, and I wanted to

  160. to go and when the doctor is there, you know,

  161. but again you don't want when the doctor is there, right,

  162. and we want to I want to ask the doctor directly.

  163. So so that's why we said out praylanes and all that.

  164. Yeah. So that was then comes Monday, No, sorry, it

  165. comes Sunday.

  166. Sunday was as usually, I was in church, I was preaching,

  167. and then I went to the hospital, saw my brother,

  168. and then and the evening I started like, why is

  169. my ear a bit blocked?

  170. You know, why is it blocked? And I tell you what.

  171. On Sunday night, Sunday evening onwards, it was very blocked.

  172. Sunday night, it was so blocked. My left ear was

  173. so blocked that it was painful. I have had something

  174. like that before when I had sinus infection and the

  175. infection spread it to my earlobe and then my ear

  176. got infected and and it was like a sharp pain

  177. in my ear lobe and a sharp needle poking my

  178. ear maybe once in three seconds. I've had that day before.

  179. It was so painful. That was I was crying constantly

  180. that time. Remember when I went to the GP, I

  181. was like, the is a bit because my treasure of

  182. pain quite lower.

  183. Yeah, so yeah, I know.

  184. I know my husband a treasure of pain high yea, yeah,

  185. mine a bit lower. Yeah, so I was great, But

  186. this time it wasn't that. It was the whole pat

  187. I can feel like a heat coming, you know. It

  188. was very painful and very hot. It's not shot pain,

  189. but it was a pounding, whole pain, you know, this

  190. whole area. And I could not sleep on Sunday night.

  191. It was so painful that sun Monday morning. I woke

  192. up my hair was so heavy. I told my mom, Mom,

  193. I think I need to go and see a doctor.

  194. So it might be thinking actually was thinking mother. Yeah,

  195. just in case you don't know, my house is under

  196. renovation now.

  197. So uh.

  198. Me and Erika moved up from the house the last

  199. week of July. We haven't moved back in yet, so

  200. it might You might have heard rumors are saying that

  201. we separated her. The truth is he is saying with

  202. his father in but Chung, I'm saying with my parents

  203. in Charas Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We did not argue Okay,

  204. we did not. We're happily married. Okay, we just celebrated

  205. our twentieth wedding and it was see okay, yeah, yeah,

  206. so were joking, you know that separated No no, no, no, no,

  207. we're happy, really married. Okay. And now I'm saying my parents.

  208. Of course, you say, oh, how come yore, don't choose

  209. one place and maybe two of you, two of you

  210. thing for us, you know. But long story like, yeah,

  211. he just feel that maybe it's better for me become

  212. more comfortable for me to say my parents. And seriously,

  213. who have known after twenty years of marriage, we still

  214. get to spend that time with our individual parents. So

  215. I think we're just gonna cherish the time. As I mean,

  216. we didn't ask for it. We didn't plan to move out, Okay,

  217. we didn't. We start that renovation in February the week

  218. leading to PC and then I mean, it's a long

  219. story and a day I'll tell you somehow God let

  220. us everything of the way. God has been so good

  221. and we had to move out now, so hopefully God's

  222. grace and October he can move back in. We'll clean

  223. up and then soon I can move back in. Yeah,

  224. we move back in. It's practically like a new house. Yeah,

  225. we started, we're just fixing the extension behind and until

  226. now it's like touching every part, every ceiling.

  227. I can't think of anywhere that we're not touching.

  228. But anyway, anyway, this now storry. But but that's why

  229. I'm saying.

  230. My parents know.

  231. So I woke out on a Monday morning. I said, Mom,

  232. I'm not feeling well. I did nicoance the doctor. Yeah,

  233. so Aga of course that day he had that Monday,

  234. he had a training, you know, Uni, so he wasn't

  235. with medn't take me.

  236. So said Mom, is okay, I will go myself. Okay,

  237. I will go.

  238. But by then I was feeling like I was gonna

  239. throw up anytime because it was so painful. It was

  240. a huge migraine. So I drove my car outside Tamama.

  241. You know how Tamada looks like right outside in the morning.

  242. There's no bucking, no bucking. And the doctor was there.

  243. Doctor Bala was there. He was the doctor that saw

  244. me when I was young until now a few generations. Yeah,

  245. his father senior junior and uh yeah, it's not a

  246. whole family, lady, So you're all doctors.

  247. You was so hard to find. Backing around and around,

  248. and I could not find Bucking. Finally I found on Bucking.

  249. I went down. I went to the clinic.

  250. That I never stepped foot there for twenty four years

  251. since I've got married. I never went back already. So

  252. I put there my icy and I tell you not,

  253. you not. The nurse look at my icyre miss is

  254. this your current address? Because my current address has got

  255. a company. She might be thinking, why you come to

  256. Geralds all the way to see doctor? You know? I said, yeah,

  257. this is my current address. Oh, okay, okay, okay, you waitter.

  258. Then I look around at least a fifteen patients there,

  259. fifteen and then I don't know. He never renovated the clinic.

  260. A yes, there's no air conn. There's not much space

  261. to sit. He was really uncomfortable. So I stood there

  262. like feeling like I'm gonna chop up any time. It's

  263. huge pain and year blog dzy, nauseous. I'm like, I

  264. look at everybody else. I think I might just think

  265. here right here, if I stand here for another five minutes. Now,

  266. I thought myself, no, I waste to go to accompanying

  267. my usual doctor. Okay, no, jam, nurse, It's okay, keep

  268. keeping my eye. See, I'm going out the place.

  269. Yeah.

  270. So I got to my car. I decided to drive

  271. all the way to Gota Comedy. Yes, I drove, oh

  272. the wey Gota Comany the whole way. It felt the

  273. half an hour never felt so long before I drove there.

  274. When the doctor, my doctor, my dear doctor, no patient,

  275. very good. I went back in. Doctor I told me

  276. that I was about to throw out any time.

  277. Seriously. I didn't eat any breakfast, but I was feeling

  278. very nauseous.

  279. I drank water and then doctor said, okay, this wild

  280. look like you are having authitis media. I said, what's

  281. the doctor? Basically, you have sinus and then infection. The

  282. bacteria went over to your ear, oh year, and went

  283. over to your midi ear, middile ear. So I said, doctor,

  284. is there anything I can pull this way to? I

  285. said no, because media is behind your ear.

  286. Jump.

  287. There's nothing else I can get there except true insight.

  288. Yeah all right, I'm like, oh my gosh, So it's it.

  289. The only way is I can give you antibiotics.

  290. He said. Antibody is the only way.

  291. And normally, this particular doctor he does not give antibiotics

  292. until it's absolutely needed.

  293. So it's I think you need it antibiotics. So I

  294. took it.

  295. I took it straight away and I ate some biscuit,

  296. drink water. No sorry before that, No, I could not

  297. hold my showing up. I drove away during water and

  298. I went drove straight to a nearby shopping mall. I

  299. went to the I went to the toilet and show

  300. it through up. Yeah, throughout water. Sorry to be so graphic,

  301. but you know, if you know me enough, I'm very straightfward. Yeah,

  302. I don't know how else is it? Yeah, but I'm

  303. sorry for the graphicness.

  304. Yeah.

  305. And then after that, I was like, oh my gosh,

  306. am I going to drive back? I still got to

  307. drive it. No growth sez so I took. I bought

  308. some biscuit and some biscuit, took the mats got me

  309. down and I started might drive back. The whole time seriously,

  310. as I was driving in the hot sun, pounding headed,

  311. feeling and showing out pain, all of a sudden, say, doctor,

  312. can feel like my nurse are like this. This part

  313. is a swallerenady. It was such a painful experience, seriously,

  314. and I thought, hey, my brother is doing his Bronco

  315. scoopy today. I want to know how he's doing today.

  316. You know, everything is playing my mind. You know. I

  317. was driving or like at that point, I don't know

  318. whether we've been there. There was the longest loneliness drive

  319. I've ever taken. Seriously, if I want no, it felt

  320. like I could not hear myself. My whole ear was blocked.

  321. It felt like what I had musicians when you understand this,

  322. it's like you're wearing in ear and it is not none.

  323. It was like that.

  324. I'm thinking, how is how beast would describe this experience. Yeah,

  325. I'm wearing in here and you know, on.

  326. And pain.

  327. He So I was driving, I seriously I was. I

  328. was speaking in tongues. But you know what, I could

  329. not hear myself. You know, for someone who used her

  330. voice very often and very I need to hear my

  331. own voice or even when I translate, when I speak,

  332. when I sing, I need to hear my own voice.

  333. It's how I trained myself, you know. But that day

  334. I could not. I could not hear myself, and it

  335. felt like what you know, it felt like I was

  336. deserted by the whole world. It felt like I was

  337. in a cave and I was crying out and no

  338. one can hear me. It felt like the loneliness drive

  339. I've ever taken. And right there, I was crying out. God. Yeah,

  340. I didn't open my mouth, I'm pretty because I could

  341. not hear myself. I didn't feel like saying anything because

  342. I could not hear myself. I don't know, just doesn't

  343. make sense. But right there, when I was in that pain,

  344. when I was in that cave, it was why I felt.

  345. It felt so lonely. I felt I was deserted by

  346. the whole world, by people, by God. I tell you,

  347. just went down. All the whole current drama is playing

  348. in my mind. Oh okay, okay, Oh don'kare you know?

  349. Oh okay? Oh you know it's.

  350. Just so sad, sad.

  351. You know, I can't see the inside out sadness everywhere.

  352. Blue color everywhere, you know, this blue color joy was

  353. nowhere to be found.

  354. It was. It was a sad no sadness everywhere. And

  355. I really felt like every.

  356. Anytime if I closed my eyes, I was gonna falls.

  357. I felt like I needed to lie out. Yeah, I

  358. felt like I was gonna faint. And I said in

  359. my mouth. I said, God, you help me, God, you

  360. gotta help me, and this word came stand still and

  361. see my salvation. I thought myself, where did theirs come from? Exodus? Exodus?

  362. So I drove back all the way. I drove back

  363. and my mother. I saw my mom. My mom said, oh,

  364. you saw the doctor. I talked so long as a yeah, mom, Bye.

  365. I could not talk to my mother because I went upstairs.

  366. I'm trying not to Bobby.

  367. You know what, I guess.

  368. I just ate the medicine. I could not form me

  369. on the medicine, right, neds.

  370. I need to stay in my body, So I just

  371. mom by now when close the doctor? Not econ and

  372. just and I slept straight for six hours. I basically

  373. just collapsed for six hours. Huh.

  374. I told my mom, Mom, you need to see doctor. Huh.

  375. You you can grab okay, so ask my other brother. Yeah.

  376. Then I woke up and for something. I woke up.

  377. I saw my clock and watch for something. Now. I

  378. told my mom. I said, my mom, you're still here.

  379. You didn't go to the hospital. Mama said no, I didn't. Why.

  380. I was so about to score my mother's sorry. Yeah,

  381. at the time, I paid on my temple running shot. Ready, Yeah,

  382. you understand right, I'm sure you understand. Yeah.

  383. I was like, you didn't go to the hospital.

  384. Do you call the hospital?

  385. I was said, yeah, yeah, I died. I died, but I.

  386. Talked to the nurse. I said, oh, so what didn't

  387. nur say? Oh, didn't say.

  388. Much, you did.

  389. I was like, mom, where is my dear brother? Their

  390. MoMA said, oh, everybody went out went off coaching. Okay, okay.

  391. I said, okay, mom, it's okay, So okay, change now,

  392. we are going to the hospital now. By then, at

  393. least I don't feel like showing up. But I was

  394. still very weak. I said, I said, mom, change now,

  395. we are going to the hospital now. Then my mother said,

  396. oh good, you don't look very well. What do I

  397. just think a girl? No? Mom, no, no, go ahead,

  398. change now. No, but you don't even know, Mom, listen

  399. to me.

  400. Go now.

  401. I was a little bit rude. Ready, I don't know,

  402. Mommy changed, I'm changing now. Okay, we jove changed to

  403. the hospital.

  404. We went to.

  405. I said, nurse, is my brother? Your brother is still

  406. a big grow because he was on GA. I said, okay,

  407. so mommy go and see brother. I'll go to our

  408. nurse there. I want to talk to the doctor. I

  409. want to see what's going on. How do you go everything?

  410. So I went the doctor. I went to the nurse

  411. and I say, oh, actually doctor not here here, but

  412. if you can wait, No.

  413. I cannot wait.

  414. Then oh, if you can wait for a while, doctor

  415. should be here anytime. No, I cannot wait, I said, nurse. Actually,

  416. I'm not feeling well. I showed her cat. I share

  417. not feeling well. I feel like chewing up, you know,

  418. I said, So please help me.

  419. I'm here. I want to talk to the doctor and

  420. see what's the progress with my doctor.

  421. Please please, I'm gonna throw up any time, and I

  422. show a rest face.

  423. Then I said, okay, okay, okay, I call doctor.

  424. Okay, doctor is in a conference, but he can talk

  425. to you now, okay, I asked doctor.

  426. I said, oh, yeah, everything went well. No, so be

  427. a results.

  428. Nothing much, but at least I hear doctor right, Okay, fine,

  429. thank you, thank you. Nurs I went in there. I

  430. saw my brother five minutes later. Doctor kimmn Oh, doctor, sorry,

  431. I just talked to you just now. Sorry for interrupting you.

  432. Doctor said, oh yeah, no, no, I'm done reading meeting, so

  433. he came. You see at that point, I seriously, these

  434. words cannot be small real. When it rains, it paused.

  435. But you see card is still there. Now. I didn't

  436. know when the doctor will come, but I can tell

  437. you the whole episode right whenever I'm there, somehow I

  438. can get hold doctor. I read a doctor just came

  439. or about to come. Somehow somebody will be there. Seriously, seriously,

  440. so I could get all my information. But long, storry job,

  441. please God. My brother was discharged after that, for after

  442. the whole week in the hospital because it was a

  443. pneumonia with sepsis. Yeah, uh yeah, so it was a

  444. virus thing, then become a bacteria thing and uh hands

  445. he got pneumonia, yeah so so yeah so but then

  446. a week later he was discharged Prais Scott, yeah Prescott, but.

  447. Not in between. But you know, by Danner, my ear

  448. was still block known. Ye see. Then finally I went

  449. to see a specialist E and T.

  450. E N T.

  451. Went in.

  452. I saw my ear drums for the very first time.

  453. I told the E and T. He saw my vocal

  454. cords some years back because the tire I went to

  455. see because I was constantly losing my voice. Uh yeah,

  456. but anyway, there was a singer noddles bust, but was

  457. gone out. Now I just need to don't scream too much,

  458. don't shout too much, don't get too excited, and don't

  459. over use my voice. I'll be fine. Yeah. So but

  460. I went back to the E and t this turrah,

  461. I said, doctor, this turn. I'm looking at my ear

  462. drums for a first time. So went in and said

  463. he said, oh yeah, he's authort this. Media said. There's

  464. nothing much you can do except wait, he said. He said,

  465. normally it should go. I can give another rounds of

  466. antibiotics because it's in your ear, so you.

  467. Take a long time for the maxine to arrive.

  468. But it's okay as long as you're telling me you're

  469. getting better beat by bit, even though it's better bait,

  470. it's okay.

  471. He said.

  472. You'll see you in two more weeks. You go back rest.

  473. Don't blow your nose to too loud. No, don't, don't, don't, don't.

  474. Just don't do anything to you, he said. Don't, don't,

  475. don't needs too too too loud, too strongly, you know,

  476. just don't try to pop your ear. Don't just don't

  477. do anything and rest, You'll be fine, he said. But

  478. if after that, if it's still very block, if you

  479. want to, then I can. I can do a small

  480. little incision to drain it up. He says, a simple

  481. Uh so you say okay, he said, okay, he said

  482. he should be fine.

  483. So I went back home.

  484. Yeah, and then uh, right after that, I don't ahead

  485. a fall? Yeah, war right, yes, I know. Yeah he

  486. had a fall and I fractures a color bone. Yeah yeah, yeah,

  487. thank god. Especialist say, thank god, your fracture is not

  488. here like anything nearer to your to your neck. Right,

  489. then you have to put a sling. But because he said,

  490. and no, only put sling. It's a tiny fraction. Don't wry,

  491. but tiny fraction. So he was so painful to you

  492. couldn't move, no cizzy. When doctor examined him, I sai

  493. him to litter his hands. He's going to do this.

  494. That's all I can do. Sorry, I was laughing. Yeah,

  495. and he also tall a bit of the tendon. The

  496. muscle here doesn't thank god, it didn't tear totally totally

  497. means I have to do surgery.

  498. I said, wow, okay, yeah, we have a lot of

  499. thank God for her.

  500. You didn't you didn't anything anything nearer and he didn't

  501. tear off our Praise the lad.

  502. Praise the load. And that week I was driving to Singapore. Yeah, yeah,

  503. that way and that way.

  504. At that point, I remember I was preaching in Singapore

  505. and my left ear was still fifty percent blocked.

  506. Yeah, you know how high it is.

  507. That week, I remember there was there was homes as well,

  508. and I went to homes.

  509. It was so hard, seriously, in my ear.

  510. It's one thing that you cannot hear, but the other

  511. thing is it also had my own echo. That means

  512. when I speak right in my ear, that was a

  513. in ear that's not working now the in ear right.

  514. It's either too loud, meaning when I do this in

  515. my ear is hurting my ear drum. All suddenly turned

  516. channel right to bag up very fast. So it's either

  517. very loud in my ear or this sounds this sound.

  518. Guyas you see, you don't know what it's doing. It's

  519. either very loud loud until it hurts my ear drum,

  520. or it's very far.

  521. I could not hear.

  522. Oh, Susie siusly, I really taste firsthand how it could

  523. have felt like a deaf community.

  524. I was downside in Watson's.

  525. I was looking at some stuff and then I look

  526. at I look at I realiz girls as you're calling me,

  527. and I didn't hear. She was asking, oh, have you

  528. used this thing before? Or oh oh you're talking to me, Yeah,

  529. have you used this thing before?

  530. Uh no that yeah, but is a stranger. I could

  531. not hear. And in the homes, you know how high

  532. is it? I could not sing.

  533. I could not speak because when I speak, it's either

  534. too loud tool loud.

  535. I cannot take it.

  536. It was so painful my ear ear jumals her thing

  537. too soft I can take it, but too loud I

  538. could not. So I was so difficult. At homes, I

  539. could not sing. I could not talk. And the Sunday,

  540. I remember I was preaching. And the following Sunday I

  541. was preaching. Here it was about thirty percent blocked. But

  542. it is this far way. The sound now fair way,

  543. so I can sing as loud as I cannot. Don't

  544. worry people around you go death, but I will not

  545. go death. You know, praise God. Today I think it's

  546. about one percent blocked. Yes, I went back to see

  547. the doctor after that. He said uh, as long as

  548. they're telling me you're getting better every day, even though

  549. it's very little, you are fine.

  550. You're fine.

  551. But I said, but don't try not to get any flu,

  552. any coal. Any block knows that trying to get no, no, no, no,

  553. any infectional because it can happen again, or like he said,

  554. the whole episode can happen again if it happened. Sure, doctor,

  555. Sure I will pray, I told doctor. Doctor was laughing

  556. as well. I said, he said, well, I just gotta

  557. trust scholar. You know. So now it's about one percent

  558. or one percent block, but Prince Scott is getting much better.

  559. And again it's also doing much better. But you know,

  560. but at that point, seriously, this verse cannot be more real.

  561. And then when I read back right, God says that,

  562. you know, in the scriptures the same Exodus fourteen, God says, no,

  563. how the people of Israel before the whole episode of

  564. seeing the raid sea right, if you look at verse eight,

  565. it feel like at verse eight they went out of

  566. Egypt with boldness. Then verse nine, okay, then verse ten,

  567. what did you say they were very afraid? How do

  568. you get from very bold to very afraid in just

  569. two verses?

  570. I don't know.

  571. But if you look at it, verse nine, what happened

  572. they saw the horses. Verse ten, it says when Pharaoh

  573. Junior the children of Israel lifted their eyes and behold

  574. the Egyptians marched after them. That just means that what

  575. we see can caust so much fear to us, and

  576. when it rains, it pauses exactly why it is right

  577. in rain? Okay, I rain, poor Paul. You look at

  578. what you saw, and you can feel so much fear.

  579. Fear can come to us. So the question is what

  580. our eyes so fixated on in times like that? No,

  581. I remember that drive, the long drive, the long, lonely drive,

  582. where I could not hear anything. I could not hear

  583. my own prayers, I could not I felt so deserted.

  584. What was my eyes fixated on? And that's why God said,

  585. stand still and see my salvation.

  586. See it.

  587. You know, when we are caught in fear, we need

  588. to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.

  589. Amen.

  590. And when people are faced with danger or fraid, usually

  591. they are four main responses.

  592. Do you know that fight, flight, freeze, fun.

  593. Huh normally normally, But you know, the Bible says, if

  594. I'm the scripture just now what he teaches us to do.

  595. It asks us to stand still and see you all

  596. none of these The scripture asks to stand.

  597. Still or see And you know what, my friends, we

  598. can retrain our fear response. Yeah, if you can do

  599. some researcher. It actually says that, yeah, normally human beings

  600. with that four responses. But we can retrain our mind.

  601. We can, and that's why. In Romans chapter twelve, verse

  602. one to two, it says, I beseech you there, for brethren,

  603. by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies

  604. a living sacrifice wholly acceptable to God, which is your

  605. reasonable service verse two. And do not be confirmed to

  606. this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

  607. that you may prove what is that good and acceptable

  608. and perfect will of God. We can renew our minds,

  609. my friends. We need to retrain our brain responses. The

  610. word of God says we need to stand still. And

  611. you might think stands still sound very passive. No, no, no, no,

  612. stand still is not passive, my friends, stand still point

  613. number one. If you look at the Keybrewer's yet up. Okay,

  614. something like that. But the definition is to place anything

  615. so as to stay reflexively, to station, continue, present, self,

  616. remaining resort, set self, stand fast, forth still up. But

  617. today I want I want us to focus on three

  618. parts of the definitions today. Number one, reflexively. Do you

  619. know how something can become a reflex It's when you

  620. do it over and over and over again, Right, they

  621. become a reflex, right, an automated response.

  622. That's how it is.

  623. Yeah, So stand still.

  624. It has this word in it that means you have

  625. to train yourself to do it.

  626. You have to put so much energy to be able

  627. to stand still. It's not a passive thing. It's not freezing.

  628. No, no, it's to stand still. It's to be very

  629. at deeply standing still. Let make sure they want reflect

  630. I have I share with x men Gene and well

  631. I reflects. You know I grew up in KL So

  632. kl is a notorious place. If you know that any

  633. Pertalan Street that area, know that that you still be

  634. in my playground.

  635. You know that churists. You know I grow in the area.

  636. So so uh since young girl in Botalent Street, I

  637. remember there was I was in high school. The road

  638. is so wide, but somehow somebody will still bang into

  639. your bodies, your shoulders you know, yeah guys normally yeah,

  640. oh right, yeah, so with minibus last time we used

  641. to take minibus.

  642. Yeah, bus public transport.

  643. Weird people are in the bus flashers more or lessers.

  644. Yeah, I know. We live in the falling world. Yeah.

  645. So I train myself to this reflex, you know, like,

  646. what will happen if someone coming from me?

  647. What should I do?

  648. You know?

  649. Eh, I see the fist?

  650. Yeah yeah, so yes, I trained in my mind if

  651. this person come from me, what do I do?

  652. Fist?

  653. And I was taught to fist right. Your fist shouldn't

  654. be like this. Your knuckles should be out so that

  655. it can be sharp placed that you can just you know, yeah.

  656. Yeah. So that's one of the one of the reflects

  657. I play over and over and over and over and

  658. over and.

  659. Over in my mind, so that when I walk on

  660. the street, something happened. This, this, the other reflects because

  661. I swim right. So actually my legs are much stronger

  662. than my upper body. Only in recent years I started

  663. litting weights, but before that I never I only swim

  664. low impact.

  665. So myman I stream.

  666. Breaststroke bread stoke is practically doing squats in the water.

  667. So my legs are strong you you don't want to try.

  668. So anything happened, my leg will be This is my reflex.

  669. How do I know it's a reflex, you ask my husband. Yeah,

  670. I'm not trying to play a funny stuff for me.

  671. I know.

  672. Sometimes there was one, you know, were like grabbing her hand.

  673. Next thing is I didn't plan too, but I cose

  674. grab me my hand?

  675. Anything is my manly came out, oh, seriously seriously, and I.

  676. Kicked him right it is, sheen, I tell you. Within

  677. seconds he fell down on the floor.

  678. And I said, how could you you actually kicked me? Sheally,

  679. I said, I'm sorry.

  680. I didn't plan to.

  681. I really didn't plan too, I really believe. But my

  682. reflex came out. Yet don't try. Yes, not just once,

  683. or it happened twice in our whole entire twenty years

  684. of marriage. Yeah, yeah, no, don't worry. We're happily married.

  685. We're seriously happily married. But my reflex came out. Yeah,

  686. so sometimes no this when you try to play a

  687. full grab my hair. I was saying, no, no, I

  688. don't want to hurt you.

  689. I don't want to hurt you.

  690. Please let go my hand. But anyway.

  691. Yeah, yeah, but reflex, How do we train ourselves to

  692. stand still? My friends, when you see something so scary,

  693. when it rains, when he paused, you stand still and

  694. see the salvation of the Lord, that you don't just

  695. crumble in fear.

  696. They don't just say, God.

  697. You don't love me anymore? I give up.

  698. No, you stand still, stand still.

  699. Second part of the definition allowed I like us to

  700. fix on fix our mind. God resort. It's finally decided.

  701. There be is no turning back. Got to decide once

  702. and for all. Yes, you believe in God or not

  703. not yet? Yes, He's God. Believe in me all the way.

  704. Don't shift to the left or the right. He's God

  705. is faithful, He will come true for you.

  706. I resorted. Third one fast strongly fastened.

  707. That means immovable.

  708. No fear, no facts that you see in front of

  709. your eyes, no medical report, no career report that would

  710. shift your feet left or right.

  711. No, you fasten, You're fastened.

  712. You're strongly fastened in God in whom you would trust.

  713. Amen.

  714. Number Truth, See the salvation of the Lord. See see

  715. his salvation. You know you could to see, but it

  716. takes faith to see. It's like how when I look

  717. back right the whole time in the hospital, seriously, I saw,

  718. I saw God's.

  719. Hand every time, every time.

  720. And how I know because before that, right when my

  721. dad was diagnosed with lymphoma, every time I took my

  722. dad for hospital visits, that time, visits, after visits, test examination.

  723. I tell you, every time I saw God's hand, I

  724. saw how God is moving my Dad's heart. I saw

  725. how his heart open up and softened. You know, today

  726. I would say my dad is nearer to God than before. Yeah,

  727. so see the salvation of our Lord. Amen, you've got

  728. to choose to see my friends. Number three. After that,

  729. what you do, God says, lift up your rod, stretch

  730. out your hand over the sea, and divide. In verse sixteen,

  731. the rod is already in your hands.

  732. You have what it takes, my friend, You are not weak.

  733. You have what it takes all this while you need

  734. to stretch it, lift it up towards your future.

  735. Number four, Go forward verse sixteen.

  736. Go forward, and the children of issue shall go on

  737. dry ground through the midst of the sea. You know

  738. how a big of miracle, that is the ground was

  739. below the sea under the see and then it is

  740. dry ground. It's some miraculous miracles. Seriously, we must go forward,

  741. and you see all these things. You and I must

  742. choose to do ourselves. No one else can help us,

  743. No one else can lift up the road for us.

  744. The road was in your hands. The road is in

  745. your hands, and no one else can go forward besides

  746. you yourself. You choose to go forward. Amen, stand and

  747. see the salvation of our Lord. You know the whole time,

  748. right when I was going through that, when I was

  749. praying for God's healing for my ear.

  750. He was really really, really really uncomfortable that time.

  751. I remember was like, it's still eighty percent blocked this question.

  752. You know, I think quite a lot.

  753. So I was pondering you all life, Yeah, I know, right,

  754. pondering about life really because it was hard, it was high,

  755. and my mom was thinking what will happened if it

  756. never go away, if it never gets cleared. So the

  757. question in my mind was do we stop when we

  758. are challenged? Do we stop when we are challenged? I

  759. mean when we are facing a challenge, when we're faced

  760. with a challenge, do we stop? I have to ask

  761. myself the question. They were still counseling to do. There

  762. were still people to meet they will still pay marriage

  763. counseling to do, they will still meetings to go. They

  764. were still homes to lead. Do I stop when I'm challenged?

  765. Do I do we stop? I have to ask myself that.

  766. And the second question that I asked myself was do

  767. we wait until there's no challenge? Then only with self?

  768. Then only we do the when we go. Hi was

  769. really asking about these questions, you know. And and at

  770. that time you can look at the next next photo,

  771. the one with photo yeah m this one that was

  772. the week where uh I kind of ware passes passa

  773. was in ex Germany and uh, if you know Revan

  774. one Kim Kong, he is well. He was uh one

  775. of the very important Christian leaders in Malaysia.

  776. He was Malaysian Care. It's him.

  777. Malaysian Care helped so many disabled, did so many good

  778. works from Malaysia. Also inter faith in the religions in Malaysia.

  779. Next next photo you can see uh so he went

  780. home to the Lord just recently and me and Algaire

  781. had an opportunity to visit, to pay a visit, pay

  782. our last respect on behalf of ex church and on

  783. behalf of Pasabassandra at the at the wake because parts

  784. were in x UK and ex Germany in that time.

  785. So we went uh a y X church were very

  786. blasted by his ministry as well. So you can see,

  787. you know this reven one Kim Kong and I saw that.

  788. Did you see boss school?

  789. Now? You see right?

  790. So yeah, Reven Won King Kong was such a giant

  791. in the faith in Malaysia. So and he also wrote

  792. a book called Breaking through Limitation.

  793. And you realize that he was on a wheelchair.

  794. Yeah, so he was diagnosed with polio since he was

  795. three years old, but it never stopped him. He pindeered Malaysian,

  796. cared and planted churches and did so much for the

  797. Kingdom of God and Malaysia. He's on a wheelchair. And

  798. I remember the first time when I saw him at

  799. one of the A y A conferences that we did.

  800. He insisted on preaching without the the the Tongu gud

  801. you know. Yeah, he wanted to He didn't want to

  802. sit and preach. He wanted to stand for the Lord

  803. and preach as much as you could, you know. So

  804. this was just a few weeks ago actually, So we

  805. were there and yeah, so we were there and then

  806. and you know at the next photo. Yeah, next photo

  807. is this lady. This is a pastor. Actually she said

  808. you she's a pastor. Now she used with your pastor

  809. in the church where reverend and Kim Kong pioneered. So

  810. it was funny because on that day, seriously, my ear

  811. was eighty per then block right and then me and

  812. again we were about to go because we pay our

  813. last respectity, you know, talk to the family, say passes

  814. regards and love and then uh, then this lady saw

  815. then then the son, Reverend King's son said oh no,

  816. no them now from ex church. Then this this sister said, yeah,

  817. I know I know them. I heard of I heard

  818. of ex church or like, so do you hear good thing?

  819. You know? I'm like, oh, we're about to go there

  820. we met, Oh no, then she said down Then then

  821. you know why, Then I realized I found out she

  822. followed past on his Facebook and IG so she saw

  823. my face before on the photo. So you whether the

  824. appear in passes, I ga a social media seriously, a

  825. lot of people saw your face.

  826. Seriously, so she saw my face there.

  827. Before and she knew exactly where I was from long

  828. story shirt that as we sat down, I found out that.

  829. She actually said, oh, you.

  830. Know, I actually wrote into I normally don't do this,

  831. but I actually dropped past kind of a Facebook direct

  832. message to invite him to speak in our church. But

  833. I never got a response. Oh. They were like, oh,

  834. you know, because passes. Facebook is not for connecting one.

  835. In fact, the team started, the team started for him.

  836. And uh, then Alicia, I said, you're.

  837. Talking to the right person. This is passaka Spa.

  838. Yeah. They were like, yeah, I just you got is it?

  839. Let me go to her the Facebook message.

  840. Now let me find your Oh there you are this,

  841. You're right, yes, let me reply you now on behalf

  842. of Passa cann of Chain. Yeah, we will respond to you.

  843. So she say, I normally don't do this, meaning I

  844. normally don't direct message a speaker that I don't know,

  845. and I normally don't bring this up.

  846. She didn't know who I was, and uh, but you know,

  847. you know, their experience was precious to me.

  848. You know why, just as I was thinking, do I

  849. stop when I'm challenged, and then because I'm talking about that,

  850. and then we will be there, Rebela won king Kongs

  851. a week and we didn't expect to meet this sister

  852. this fellow coworker, and I got to share with her.

  853. You know, actually next year, Passa kind of wants to

  854. invest more into Malaysia, so he will be released more

  855. from our church to invest and do more for the

  856. Kingdom of God next year. So we would definitely weigh

  857. out your invitation and find the right date. No, pass

  858. his heart is ready for the smaller churches and all

  859. the churches in Malaysia. So you came at the right time.

  860. And for me, that just shows that God is in

  861. control even when I have this eighty percent blocks. Yesterday,

  862. they I talked to us a sorrier. I might sound

  863. too loud because I cannot hear myself because I cannot

  864. hear myself. We are if I'm talking too loud and

  865. I don't know how I'm pronouncing my words because I might,

  866. I might, I might fumble because I can't hear myself.

  867. So it actually affected my speech. Yeah, because I can't

  868. hear myself, so she said, or not about it. For me,

  869. this whole experience just shows that God is with me. See,

  870. surely I'm still using you. Doesn't matter where you're a

  871. perfect so called I'm never perfect, but whether you feel

  872. you're at the right place or not. As long as

  873. you avail yourself, I can still use you. You know. Friends,

  874. I don't know what you're going through, but I just

  875. felt that some of you will hear need to hear

  876. this that that you know, as as long as you

  877. avail yourself, even if you might feel like you're broken,

  878. Well I felt broken. I felt really broken because I

  879. can't hear myself. I wasn't even sure where I could translate.

  880. I wasn't even sure where I could sing again, you know,

  881. But for God just tells me no, sally, as long

  882. as you are wheeling and avail yourself like what wherever

  883. one can come, I can still use you. I can

  884. still use That's why that photo was precious to me,

  885. you know. And it says here that we are to

  886. renew our minds. You know that we can prove what

  887. is that good and acceptable perfect.

  888. Will of God.

  889. Amen. Amen, So good, you know you know so even

  890. though we're faced with challenges, God's grace, his favor, his joy,

  891. his pleasure, his worthiness is more than enough for us, friends,

  892. because God is with us.

  893. His name is.

  894. Immanual, Immenual.

  895. Amen.

  896. I pray and encourage you all, my friends from James

  897. Chapter one, verse to the eight. My brethren, carry it

  898. all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that

  899. the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience

  900. have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete,

  901. lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him

  902. ask of God, who gives you all liberally and without reproach,

  903. and it will be given to him. But let him

  904. ask in faith with no doubting. For he who doubts,

  905. it's like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed

  906. by the wind. But let not that man suppose that

  907. he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a

  908. double minded man, unstable in all his ways. Of friends,

  909. Trust God, Trust God, ask by faith, and stand still

  910. and see the salvation of the Lord. Amen.
