  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. A word with you as we start the year.

  4. And and for me, this is what I was drawn

  5. to just to get us going at this time. So

  6. I'm going to be sharing the word here called Let's

  7. draw near to God?

  8. Amen? All right, let's draw near to God.

  9. What a better time to renew your commitment, your love,

  10. your focus by drawing near to God.

  11. Amen. And it's a good thing to be able to

  12. draw near to God. Friends.

  13. You know, if you and I aren't to God, you're

  14. drawing near to something. We're always going to draw near

  15. to something else.

  16. All right? Now, what does it mean to draw here?

  17. To draw here to somebody is to come near to someone,

  18. is to want to spend time with someone. It's to

  19. dwell with that person, is to fellowship with that person.

  20. And you want to be near, live with, or you know,

  21. spend amount of time coming near to somebody or coming

  22. near to something that you enjoy, that you like, so

  23. you draw near. So I don't know what have you

  24. been drawing near to?

  25. Hey? All right?

  26. What have you been drawing near to? If you're not

  27. drawing near to God. You're drawing near to someone something

  28. who knows what right. But when you draw near to God,

  29. he's life giving. He's your daddy God, He's our father God,

  30. he is our creator. God, he made us, He is

  31. putting spirit the very fact for every human on earth.

  32. You're not alive because you're just you know, made, you

  33. know somewhere you have the breath of life that comes

  34. from our creator. And his name is Jesus, a man,

  35. the son of God, has given us his life. We

  36. sang about him, and so we will draw near to

  37. the things that we en we like. But I want

  38. to encourage your, all of you and myself to draw

  39. near to God.

  40. To come near. Amen. And because we have to be careful.

  41. If we don't have the first person that we draw

  42. near to first, then God will not be first. Something

  43. else will be drawn near to your books, drawn near

  44. to your your relationships, drawn near to your children, your husband.

  45. Good to draw near to your husband.

  46. I'm here, but before that, to make all of that work,

  47. drawn near to God.

  48. All right?

  49. And this verse comes from James, chapter four and verse eight.

  50. If you turn to your bibles, we're still on the campaign.

  51. Bring your own bible. Read your own bible, buy your

  52. own bible, all right, okay, now, James Chapter four, verse

  53. eight says James, Chapter four and verse eight there says,

  54. draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.

  55. Amen. How about that? You know there are some people.

  56. I want to draw near to, but they won't drawn

  57. near to me. Oh yeah, like that, love, So, but

  58. when you draw near to God, he wants to draw

  59. near to you.

  60. Amen.

  61. If you, if nobody, if your friend, don't want to

  62. draw near to it's okay. God wants to draw here

  63. when you draw near to him. This is a given.

  64. This is a sure thing. Even if you felt like

  65. how I felt this morning, I overtook someone and I

  66. lost my trend of thought. Oh yeah, Jesus, sorry, all right,

  67. Oh I should have just kept me the be patient,

  68. be patient.

  69. But they're like, it's too long. It's too long, you know.

  70. And yet I don't run away from God, but I

  71. run to him in my in my leg in my failure.

  72. All right, and he draws near to me. I'm always

  73. assured that God would draw near when I draw near

  74. to him. So if anything happens, friend, don't draw away,

  75. but draw near no matter what. And we're gonna read

  76. about that this morning. Okay, So another encouraging word. Because

  77. number one, when I said draw near to God, what

  78. does what happens? He will draw near to you. What's

  79. another cool thing that happens when you draw near to God?

  80. So John chapter fourteen and verse twenty three. John chapter

  81. fourteen and verse twenty three here says. Now, this is

  82. John chapter fourteen. And Jesus was speaking to his disciples.

  83. And so that was Judas, not Judas Carriot, but Judas

  84. the other. Another Judors said to him as Jesus was

  85. saying that you know, I won't be here with you

  86. very long. I'll be going away. And so this guy said, Lord,

  87. how is it that you will manifest yourself to us

  88. and not to the world. And Jesus said answered, and

  89. said to him, if anyone loves me, he will keep

  90. my word, and my Father will love him. And then

  91. what happens, We the whole trinity, the Father, the Son,

  92. and the Holy Spirit will come to that person and

  93. make our home with him.

  94. Wow, when you draw near.

  95. To God is because we want to love God and

  96. we keep his word.

  97. Then the heavenly Father also loves.

  98. Him already, no need to work for it. He already

  99. loves you. But as you are longing. It's like that,

  100. right when someone longs for your fellowship, and and and

  101. and and and you draw and you know they come

  102. to you. You you obviously would respond.

  103. If you're like the person, like the person, I'd run

  104. the sailor. But if you like the person, right, they

  105. are your friend.

  106. Right there, he says, my father will love him, and

  107. we will come to him and make our home with him.

  108. Hey, guys, you are a home. Yay, tell a neighbor.

  109. You are a home to the living God. Amen, you

  110. are a home.

  111. Yeah.

  112. See, you have a house.

  113. Your whole body is said to be like a temple,

  114. a house of the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit

  115. is who that lives in us, that represents the whole Godhead.

  116. God Father got the son and got the Holy Spirit.

  117. He wants to make his home with us. Again, I

  118. want to say, nobody wants to friend you. God Shu

  119. wants to friend you, all right. Ema wants to live

  120. with you, believe me, but to live me or with you?

  121. Amen? All right? Because you love.

  122. Him, you want to keep his word, and you are

  123. loved by our heavenly Father. And so there's a drawing.

  124. As you draw, he comes. Amen, Even when you thought

  125. he wouldn't, he already came ten steps closer, Even when

  126. you just said.

  127. Papa, God, Father, God, just God.

  128. Already came ten steps He ran to you, just when

  129. you had the thought of him with that longing. And

  130. then as you declare that you know, you make a

  131. confession so that the whole heaven ist hear it, the

  132. spiritual realm hears it that you want to join here

  133. to God.

  134. God's already at your doorstep. He wants to come.

  135. And make his room and his house and everything in you.

  136. Amen.

  137. What a blessing, hallelujah. And that's what happens when you

  138. love the Lord. And he continued to grow in your

  139. walk and your love with the Lord God, he makes

  140. his home with us. So you know, brother sissys, all

  141. of us can take that opportunity.

  142. You are live.

  143. You're still here on planet Earth, drawn near, drawn near

  144. to the one who.

  145. Has given you the very breath of life.

  146. Drawn near to the one who holds your life in

  147. his hands. No, you know, nobody else holds your life.

  148. Only God holds our lives. Whether things have are good

  149. or where things have been challenging. He still holds your

  150. life in his hand, because he's the one who gives

  151. you life. So why not we draw near to the

  152. one who loves us and gave his life for us. Amen,

  153. and just experience the love, the comfort, the confidence, and

  154. the grace of God. So I want to bring you

  155. to three verses just to assure you of God's goodness

  156. luck as you draw near to Him a man, and

  157. I want to and I'll share that so that it's

  158. real for you and to be able to absorb that

  159. and catch it.

  160. This morning. Now, I really love this verse.

  161. And I'm taking three verses from the Book of Hebrews,

  162. and I'm reading from the ESV version English Standard version.

  163. All right, not new King James this morning, but just

  164. for this English Standard version because it's simpler English. All right,

  165. all right, he goes here, he goes, I put it

  166. on the slide because it's ESV.

  167. He says.

  168. Let us then with confidence, everybody saying confidence, Yeah, draw

  169. near to the Throne of Grace, that we may receive

  170. mercy and may find.

  171. Grace to help in time of need. Amen. This is

  172. twenty twenty five.

  173. Make your year count no matter what you're going through.

  174. It says yeah, find that with the confidence. Let us

  175. then with confidence drawn near, drawn near, too drawn near

  176. to the throne of grace. Isn't it to the throne

  177. of grace, and that you may receive and mercy and

  178. find grace to help in time of need.

  179. If there's any.

  180. Any time in your life that you go through a

  181. really tough challenge, I have to say for me, I've

  182. only found this. No matter how far I may have fallen,

  183. how far I feel I'm away from God, of how

  184. how I use the word wretched, I.

  185. Feel so sinful.

  186. Sometimes no matter how far, God remains there, and I

  187. find the confidence that He will not turn me away.

  188. He will lend me, he will share with me, He

  189. will clothe me with grace and with mercy. The mercy

  190. of the Lord are new every morning. We may not

  191. have that kind of mercy, but God has mercy that

  192. is new every morning.

  193. Find confidence to come.

  194. There's there is no such thing as you see God

  195. like someone who's gonna work you in the head.

  196. Or I want to accept you. You didn't do this,

  197. you do that.

  198. Maybe I, as a person may say that to you

  199. because human got some standards. God knows as a standard.

  200. But the one thing God has is grace. It is

  201. only grace that saved us. So it's nothing about what

  202. we can do and will do, but it's what He

  203. has done for us. This grace means what we don't deserve.

  204. He already accepts us and he receives us. So no

  205. matter how far we feel, I'm dirty, I messed up

  206. my life. You know, you don't know pass even what

  207. I did a last summer, but you know what, God knows,

  208. knew it, But she receives us, and he clothes us

  209. with his love and robe of righteousness. Find that grace

  210. by see drawing me. I have the confidence that He

  211. will not send you away sometimes humanly for me, Like example,

  212. when I made a I don't know, I think I

  213. liked my mom or something.

  214. I was eighteen.

  215. You know, she's said, can I have boyfriend? I had boyfriend,

  216. then didn't tell her, then hide behind her, then go

  217. watch movies with boyfriend. And then she found out because

  218. my best friend told her. How can that be a

  219. bed friend?

  220. Right? My best friend is a school captain. No, so

  221. I don't know. My mom called her. Oh, I think

  222. she ran out with when I came home, just waiting

  223. for me. I'm like happy, go ahead like ready, you

  224. go like b and then no, don't lie to me,

  225. all right, you know.

  226. And it took her a long time too, you know,

  227. So forgive me, right, I found the courage to say,

  228. forgive me. I went to the Lord. The Lord received me.

  229. Best thing ever is just turned to Jesus. Mom took

  230. a long time, but I went to say sorry and

  231. asked for her forgiveness. She took a long time. But

  232. I tell you what, nothing like Jesus more important to

  233. get it right. Sin against God, not just Mom, but God.

  234. Because I didn't honor her. It took her a while.

  235. But in the end, you know, I'm still the best daughter,

  236. So take care of them. So it is the Lord

  237. who brings that grace that I could step up again

  238. and selphim again, even though I did.

  239. Something not so good.

  240. That means at our lowers. I want to encourage you.

  241. Have the confidence to draw near. Have the confidence. You

  242. might say you don't know my past. You might say

  243. you don't know what I did last summer. You don't

  244. know this, and I don't know nothing. It doesn't matter.

  245. You need. I want to give you this confidence.

  246. Come near to God, Come near to Jesus, come near, friends,

  247. don't go away, even if you have a struggle, even

  248. if you don't know your God, why is this happening?

  249. You come near first.

  250. I tell you he has already taken ten steps, and

  251. he will make his home with you.

  252. That is how good God is.

  253. I walk so many years and still learning how good

  254. he is, Still finding my faith in Jesus, still falling

  255. in love with him, still, you know, heartbroken to come

  256. to him and say, Wow.

  257. You still receive me no matter what.

  258. And I've got that confidence that he will give me

  259. the grace that I need.

  260. Amen.

  261. Next verse that was Hebrews four sixteen. Next one is

  262. Hebrews seven twenty five. It says Hebrews seven twenty five. Consequently,

  263. consequently going to read the whole thing, he is able

  264. to save to the utmost those who draw near to

  265. God through him, since He always lives to make intercession

  266. for them. So the verse before that, verse twenty four,

  267. Verse twenty three says that Jesus is now seated at

  268. the right hand of the Father, having gone through all

  269. that he did on planet Earth, yet without sin or

  270. he was tempted on all sides, Yet without sin he

  271. finished the race he is seated at the right hand

  272. of the Father. Consequently, he is able to save to

  273. the utmost those who draw near to God through him,

  274. since he always lives to make intercession for them. Amen

  275. pros and says, if you think and say, are you

  276. nobody prays for me?

  277. True?

  278. Maybe not, but Jesus lives to make intercession for.

  279. You, you cannot say, I nobody pray for me.

  280. So I feel no, no, no, no, no, no, you

  281. never You didn't know that. Jesus every day look before

  282. the Father and keeps praying for ben Help him, Lord,

  283. you know, prosper him.

  284. Lord.

  285. You know he's going to this tough time, drawing, driving

  286. the wrong way. Lord, help him.

  287. Okay, So he makes intercession for us.

  288. Jesus above all the high priests, the one who stands

  289. before the Lord does not stand before God to condemn us.

  290. He stands before the Lord to intercede for us. Whereas

  291. the devil stands before the Lord and says, look at this, Steven,

  292. he did it again. You didn't know what he did

  293. last summer. That's what he does. He condemns us, but

  294. there is no more condemning to them who are in Christ.

  295. Jesus who walk under the law of the Spirit and

  296. of life Romans eight. So Jesus, don't stand there and

  297. say I tell you all that, girl, mm hmm, no, Allah, No,

  298. he just stands, and he gave his life for us,

  299. He shed his blood for us. He stands before the Lord,

  300. interceding and remembering you and me, because He is omnipotent,

  301. ever powerful, ever present, all knowing, and he makes intercession

  302. on our behalf to just say, Lord, You're gonna work

  303. in that person's life. So no matter how far you

  304. feel you are, how down in the hole you are,

  305. how rotten you feel you are, the Lord stands because

  306. he has been through all things, tempted at all points,

  307. but yet without sin. You can read that in Hebrew

  308. seventh the verse above, he is therefore able to make intercessions.

  309. So guys, just drawn here.

  310. Start the year by saying, Lord, I might have gone

  311. different ways, or you could be still arms with him,

  312. but just drawn here, never stop drawing here, because we

  313. are assured that He lives to make intercession for each

  314. and every one of us. How assuring is that I

  315. might not make intercession for you forever because I fall asleep.

  316. But God makes intercessions Jesus makes intercession for you before

  317. the Father. Amen, Hebrews eleven six. Is now this one

  318. is you know ex charge inundated with this?

  319. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. For whoever

  320. would draw near to God.

  321. As you drawn near to God, must believe that He exists,

  322. and that he rewards those who seek him. I mean,

  323. as you draw, you to draw near to God by faith.

  324. It is faith.

  325. The currency of heaven is not the time. But the

  326. currency of heaven is not the UK pound, as high

  327. as it is. The currency of heaven is come on faith,

  328. your faith in the Lord. You just come here. You

  329. just come here if you believe that he is, and

  330. He rewards you, rewards you. If there's anything you and

  331. I if anything at all you forget you just remember

  332. one thing. Don't come by fear. Come by faith, believing

  333. that he is. He is, He is, not, he will

  334. He is all right. God is he is. And as

  335. you come near, you are full of faith, not full

  336. of fear. And as you seek him, as you come near,

  337. you know that He's going to reward you. He's working

  338. something for you because.

  339. You say that he is. He's not a worset God.

  340. He is God. He is alive. He is today.

  341. So as you drawn down, there is a living experience.

  342. There is a living anointing, a power, a presence that

  343. connects with you and me. I don't know how else

  344. to join it but to say, you just have to

  345. come by faith. Actually, anything you do for the Lord,

  346. you have to do it by faith. You want to

  347. bake cake, baked by faith? Okay, you want to You

  348. wanna go say sorry, do someone go by faith?

  349. Sorry way, babe.

  350. You know I'm scared or scared by faith. You know

  351. how I had to say ask my mother for forgiveness.

  352. I had to go by faith because you don't see

  353. my faith. I live in the same house. I mean

  354. I was a child then, I mean, young person, you

  355. have to do it by faith. Even if someone rejects you,

  356. you gotta do the right thing. And the right thing

  357. is to apologize and to ask for forgiveness. And that's

  358. why I did. Now, she wants to take forever that

  359. it's her problem. She take it up with God. I've

  360. got to take it up with the law and do

  361. what I need to do as a child. And did

  362. that and I had to wait, just wait. Look, I

  363. mean mom didn't trust me, but you know in time.

  364. This is it. That's all she got. She had to

  365. accept me, right, So but I have to do the

  366. right thing.

  367. But I had to do it by faith even though

  368. we fear and trembling. Are you I think you're going

  369. to reject me? I just had to do that, amen.

  370. So I don't know how else.

  371. You want to start your year?

  372. You know, plan all your studies and you know, study

  373. every day, but then you leave, got out that window.

  374. Come on, bring him along, drawn near to God first

  375. drawn here for your studies, for your work. Hey, I

  376. have to tell you I'm a student again. So I

  377. totally get you. I totally do all right. I signed

  378. up for my master's last year. Oh yeah, why am

  379. I doing it right? My life is up to hear it,

  380. my up to hear I know time no life kind

  381. of my life is no life, meaning I don't just

  382. do what I want to do.

  383. I'm living my life. And then I had to go

  384. and sign up. Oh my god. Alright, but I'm not

  385. the only I've got four called.

  386. I've got my three other Coaquila Pasta, Sarah Elder Rose and.

  387. Past the Jack.

  388. Four of us are doing our masters in education because

  389. we have a school, and we want to be able

  390. to whatever do for whatever we need to do for school.

  391. But we need someone with the masters. But each of

  392. us will contribute with ll also little legends. So we

  393. all signed up, yeah, to do it by faith. I

  394. haven't been to school for ages. I'm the oldest. I'm

  395. grandma age right, so I could have grandchildren already. But

  396. these guys they just finish UNI right, I'm.

  397. Like finished a long time ago, and they're like, oh no.

  398. In the first first semester, one subject only, I looked

  399. at the assignment and.

  400. For three days, three weeks, not three days three weeks,

  401. I just looked at the assignment.

  402. In fear that I cannot do this assignment group assignment.

  403. Thank God got the group right, so they all can

  404. do the work. I just come in for my ideas.

  405. But the personal individual assignment, I don't know what this is.

  406. I don't understand what is it.

  407. I don't know to write academically, my England not academic?

  408. How do right?

  409. For three weeks I sat there and I told my

  410. husband and he said, no, do't worry, you can do this.

  411. No, it's a burden. Now he said that I can

  412. help you.

  413. Ready, Bye bye, oh my God, he's not helping me.

  414. He is that you can do this, no three weeks.

  415. I just stand at the question.

  416. I'm thinking, I'm gonna cry in a hot burdon like

  417. nothing like I don't.

  418. I just don't know how to do. And you imagine that.

  419. And then I have to eat like all the medicine

  420. that I ever told all the campus students, right, I

  421. used to and I would tell you that, and I

  422. have to apply in my own life. I always say

  423. to all the students studies a very easy one. I

  424. think you don't have to go and kill yourself, break

  425. your hair.

  426. Just ask Holy Spirit. He will teach you.

  427. Because that's what I did when I was in school

  428. and college, right, Holy Spirit, you know, and he helped

  429. me fair. I became a book price winner all right

  430. for my subject for the one was gonna fail. Can

  431. that book price? We know know for school only one ever?

  432. Now? Eat back said, Holy Spirit, please help me. I

  433. don't know what to do, Holy Spirit, Please help me.

  434. I don't know what to do. Draw near to God, law,

  435. and he will drawn near to you. I have to

  436. read night all this student life and student thoughts. Right.

  437. So went in there and looked at it for three weeks,

  438. you know what. The word came to me and Luke

  439. in the Book of Luke with the ten Leapers, and

  440. the ten leapers said, Jesus, we want to be healed.

  441. And Jesus said, okay, you heal, go to the.

  442. Priests, and so they went, and as they went they

  443. were healed. Basically, God was saying, if you don't start writing,

  444. I can't help you.

  445. I had to.

  446. Write, but I don't know what to write so much

  447. fear right, because that's the person and that's how I am,

  448. and I cannot I just I just freeze. So I

  449. had to start lo and behold my colleagues, the three

  450. of them. Elder is the most smarteressler. She already has

  451. NBA right, top student for par and everything.

  452. What's the journal? Did all you?

  453. So?

  454. So i'mon to put off their par He already did

  455. what do you doing?

  456. Like that? And then he but okay, help me to

  457. understand what I'm so. I've not done this before so

  458. long time.

  459. Oh like that terrible ad. This guy give me pressure.

  460. So, you know, drawn near to God, right, So I

  461. drew near to God, prayed and I had a presentation

  462. early morning during quiet time. I keep saying, Holy p

  463. please tell me. Have I got the right thing? And

  464. digit you.

  465. Got it wrong?

  466. Wrong, wrong, presentation, got one whole chunk missing. In one

  467. hour before I can I have to leave or got

  468. to work, and I got to present my presentation because

  469. I'm not going life, I'm going away or something.

  470. What do I do? I don't know what to do.

  471. I only go one hour before I go to work.

  472. Then I remember the voice pass the Jack's voice.

  473. You you you prompt like you prompt the AI.

  474. And then all the students you know who I was

  475. talking to past you can use the AI.

  476. Cha like no.

  477. But I only had one hour and I had to

  478. draw out my whole thing, which which I just needed

  479. to have an order. So I had the idea, but

  480. the order was wrong. I missed out something. So I'm like, hello,

  481. is it me you're looking for?

  482. No? No, hello, Hello from me? O.

  483. There's and CHG like hello, and and I put some

  484. stuff there and I just need this.

  485. How do I order it?

  486. It helped me within the hour to get my thoughts

  487. in order them. So these are my this is what

  488. I want to do. How do I order it? Okayler,

  489. Because the presentation would then have to look into my

  490. actual assignment. The written I don't know how many thousand

  491. words my would how many thousand words.

  492. It's just an assignment.

  493. It's like a million words, not not a million, but

  494. it's just too many words now to right.

  495. So put it there and had to present.

  496. When I went for the final presentation and looked at everybody,

  497. I want to cry, elder rose one like that.

  498. Like no picture my slides, and I didn't easy. It's

  499. like how I preach, But no, you're gonna have some academics,

  500. so never mind. Did it? Finally did the assignment?

  501. We did all our all of us I think hasted,

  502. all of us hasted, all right, I think all four

  503. of us hasted.

  504. Yeah, I'm serious.

  505. There very good students say, oh my good one paper.

  506. We didn't so act it, but I think overall west it.

  507. And then I got my results and then I looked

  508. at it.

  509. What is this three point seventy five? Oh how much?

  510. I don't know?

  511. No know?

  512. Four I do you know? Anyone helped me? And then

  513. I said, husband, husband, three point seven five was there.

  514. That's very good. So I thought to check here, I

  515. was preaching last week.

  516. Inside, I said, he didn't even see his results because

  517. you he came to the meal and he didn't even

  518. check it. I'm sure they all got the same. I

  519. don't know, maybe even high.

  520. I'm not so clever.

  521. But praise me to God, drawn near to God, drawn here,

  522. and He is the one that helps us, helps me

  523. in the seed for me, bring give me the brains

  524. to write it. So fearful, and I tell you what

  525. no other way, best teacher, Holy Spirit.

  526. Three point seventy five. You would look at me really

  527. serious for.

  528. Someone who sat there for three weeks, took me a

  529. whole two days to write the introduction for my TC statement.

  530. Two days and it's so short and still two days

  531. because I don't know how. I just looked at my

  532. results and found that it was actually eight point ten

  533. eight over ten just for the introduction presentation, seventeen over twenty.

  534. Wow, that's very good, very good. Whoa not too bad?

  535. But for someone who hasn't been to school for a

  536. long long time, it was a lot of encouragement. I

  537. just look at my second semester stuff and I went, oh,

  538. it's tough.

  539. It's tough. How I'm gonna do it? I don't know.

  540. I've got travels the commission trips, and it's just a lot.

  541. Right. I just said, help me, Lord, help me draw

  542. near to God. So if all of you are students here,

  543. If you are students, work with the Holy Spirit, draw

  544. near to God. If a not very bright person like

  545. me can do this, you are clever. So you are intelligent.

  546. You're in University of Nottingham. Even more all right, so

  547. you can do this with the Holy Spirit.

  548. Imagine that because I don't even I haven't gone back.

  549. I haven't gone to school for years. It's been no

  550. how many years, thirty our years? The Lord helps us.

  551. He stands to make intersession for Possandra, who doesn't know

  552. one question.

  553. Can imagine that? How much more? When you love him

  554. and draw near to him, let him help you? Amen?

  555. Number one, friends of us, drawing near as we draw near.

  556. John Chapter fourteen twenty three just now says, what if

  557. you love me? Number one, Love Jesus, best thing ever.

  558. Just love Jesus a man, be in communion with him,

  559. Talk to him because he will speak to you. Read

  560. his word, because that's the next one would be to

  561. keep his word. But this first one, love Jesus. A

  562. man acknowledge his lordship acknowledge that he is Lord.

  563. You are not Lord. When you draw near to God,

  564. that that the fullness of God, that wholeness, you can

  565. acknowledge that, Wow, you are Lord.

  566. I'm not the master in the driver's seat, a man,

  567. I'm not the master God is he's the driver. I

  568. shouldn't be sitting in the wheel driving. Let him lead there.

  569. And I don't know if I'm sitting there or am

  570. I the back seat driver? Are you the messia driver?

  571. Because Jesus said, yes, Jesus on the wheel, But are

  572. you the messi driver?

  573. I heard one.

  574. Preachers say, because when Jesus says, I'm turning this way,

  575. what way? Are you the road of generosity? I don't

  576. want to be generous. Why are you going to the

  577. road of generosity, Jesus. I don't want to be generous.

  578. I don't want to give anything.

  579. Is Jesus still on the wheel? Is Jesus take the wheel?

  580. Come on?

  581. So I'm like, WHOA love him and let him lead us.

  582. Love him not just doing things for you, but having

  583. a relationship with you. God doesn't want us to treat

  584. him like a Santa Claus. He wants a relationship with

  585. you and me for us to love him, to experience

  586. him tangibly, hearing him in our hearts. You won't hear

  587. I tell you, if you ever hear you and helone.

  588. The OtherSide, are you better give your life up? Don't finny,

  589. go and serve the Lord? Okay, all right? But he

  590. speaks to your in a man, and you will hear

  591. him in your heart and the heart. And when you

  592. hear him.

  593. God's word is not you are going to You're gonna cot.

  594. He always says I love you. He always says that

  595. you don't think you're worth loving, to be loved, but

  596. he does love you.

  597. Communicate as you would.

  598. Communicate with any friend, because God hears you as you are.

  599. You don't have to have a special English you want

  600. to speak with him? It was okay, you want a

  601. hockyn to God. Can you want to speak Malay? You

  602. want to speak you know your own mother tongue, whatever

  603. your language is, mandren huh, all right, any other language

  604. wherever you are. Guess how you saw the death ministry.

  605. Jesus can do sign language. Hello, all right, Jesus does

  606. sign language to the death. He can sign. He can sign.

  607. So whatever your language, you don't have to speak in

  608. Queen's English. As broken as it is, he understands. Communicate

  609. with him, speak with him, tell him your heart, love him,

  610. know how much he loves you. Love him. A man

  611. spend time in his presence. Honor God, honor the Lord

  612. so much we have to learn. A man, the number

  613. one says, if you love me, if you love me,

  614. does love him because he loves you more than anything.

  615. Therefore, keep his word. A man keep God's worth? Not

  616. how do you keep it? You got to know the word.

  617. You got to know it by reading his word and

  618. by you know, meditating on God's word. It's hard, I

  619. know sometimes thing I got so much to do. I

  620. know what you feel like.

  621. If you're a student, because I have no time. Now

  622. imagine I work.

  623. I still have to travel overseas and attend classes and

  624. do assignments. And I still have a family. I taket

  625. my husband. I have to clean house. I have the

  626. clean church house. Also clean all of.

  627. You up right?

  628. Not? I mean, like Jesus, I still do the counseling,

  629. I still visit hospital visitations, do all that.

  630. How am I going to read God's word?

  631. Right? You love him? You spend time with him, you

  632. read his word. Set your time aside for the Lord.

  633. Set time to read God's word, not just read, underline it,

  634. memorize it, or meditate, read over and over again, so

  635. that you will really know the essence of what God

  636. is saying to you.

  637. And that's what I've.

  638. Been to being doing going back to school. Was not

  639. just wake up and one to say, I have got

  640. to do a simon, go do assignment. I get out

  641. of the morning, go like I'm gonna meet Jesus first,

  642. and they do my hour.

  643. No enough for so one hour by on appen hour.

  644. Now God's got to do assitement or just sit and

  645. look at the question for next thirty minutes. But when

  646. I get going, then a lot will guide me. You

  647. keep his word.

  648. We have the campaign or whatever we're encouraging everyone to be.

  649. Yoh, b don't forget. It's not just a one day thing.

  650. We'll continue talking about it. Bring your own Bible or

  651. read your own Bible so that you will know God.

  652. Don't just don't just watch YouTube messages friends, stop it.

  653. That's a word from another man. Great word, great would

  654. I think.

  655. But you still got to read your own Bible because

  656. you want to hear what God wants to say to you,

  657. those are all supplementary.

  658. I'm here, this is X.

  659. I'm the passer of the church here, one of the

  660. passes here. My job is to do what feed the sheep.

  661. But the sheep got to eat the word. And you

  662. gotta read it.

  663. Man, you cannot just okay, just feed me. I'm feeding it, right.

  664. You gotta come and eat it. You gotta here, come,

  665. you know what.

  666. I bring it to your mouth. You still gotta go

  667. in right, So keep the word, read his word, take

  668. hold of your Bible. Don't just oh, I'm listening to

  669. a lot of other YouTube. What you got a messages

  670. on YouTube? Great word, but that's someone else regurgitating something

  671. else to you. Maybe they even took chat gibt and

  672. came up with a message. I didn't do this with

  673. che gibt. To pray and down load. You read it,

  674. you know God. You read his love letter. Okay, whether

  675. you got a printed copy or eat copy, just go

  676. to the Word of God.

  677. Amen.

  678. Some one one nine verse eleven, Some one one nine

  679. verse eleven. O. Well, King David would say.

  680. You know your word? Have I hidden in my heart

  681. that I might not sin.

  682. Against you your word? Have I hidden in my heart

  683. that I might not sin against you? How do you

  684. god your heart? By hiding God's word? You can only

  685. hide God's word if you read his word.

  686. Amen. Amen. If you don't read, then you cannot hide.

  687. How can you hide? You don't have nothing to hide,

  688. hide nothing to hide.

  689. You might be hiding netflix story in your heart can't

  690. save you.

  691. You might be.

  692. Oh fatick Stephen Fertig, Oh my God, you're listening.

  693. Oh, I want to hide his word. He's not God.

  694. Come on, get to the word. Read it for yourself.

  695. Let it read you. When you read God's word, God's

  696. word is a living word. It reads you.

  697. The word is living and that's how people get transformed.

  698. I kid you not. As a new believer.

  699. At seventeen years old, I read the New Testament, and

  700. the word of God transformed me from being silly and

  701. crazy and aimless and no confidence and nothing. Keeping God's

  702. word transform me that I couldn't believe that he changed

  703. my life. You read God's word, But I think many

  704. of us don't read cover to cover. That's why we

  705. read whatever we want or whenever we want.

  706. But make a date with the Lord. Love him. Keep

  707. his word, amen, because it will keep you number three.

  708. Practice his word?

  709. So reading it is one thing you've got to Yeah,

  710. you gotta work it, man, work it, okay. No, practicing

  711. is be a doer of God's word.

  712. Hallelujah. Amen. When we read.

  713. God's word, we we we see something that is in action,

  714. and we can do his word a man. We can

  715. remind each other. So what am I doing? I'm reminding

  716. you to do God's work.

  717. To do If it says.

  718. Love one another, hey, love one another is a do word, right,

  719. It's love is a verb.

  720. So how to say I love you, but don't.

  721. Do nothing for you? You and seek in hospital? I should

  722. come busy you leah?

  723. All right? So do something? What you learn, you forgive? Okay?

  724. Help be kind all right? Have joy? Okay, right, receive

  725. the joy of the Lord. Be patient.

  726. God is very patient with us. How can you and

  727. I be patient with people who frustrate you?

  728. Do do?

  729. I have to practice the word a man, because he's

  730. my master. I submitted my life to him. I'm slowly

  731. outworking it by the grace of God. Again, he's helping me. Right,

  732. because we definitely can learn from one another. When when

  733. I hear you share the word, or when I you know,

  734. we learn from another.

  735. I see you do something well, I've never thought about that.

  736. I never thought I could do that, And so I

  737. learned from what you are doing. Out of your what

  738. you what you caught from the lot, and I saw

  739. you doing it.

  740. I can learn from you.

  741. We learn from each other the living word that's become

  742. life to each other a man. Hallelujah. So John chapter fifteen,

  743. verse seven to eight. John chapter fifteen, when you hear

  744. about the true vine, Yes, suspcd nan keita cha bangna

  745. Jesus the vine, and we had the branches passage. But

  746. seven and verse seven and eight says, if you abide

  747. in me and my word abides in you, and then

  748. you will ask what you desire, it shall be done

  749. for you.

  750. And he says that by.

  751. This my Father's glorified that you bear much fruit, so

  752. you will be my disciples.

  753. So the doing is the bearing of fruit a man.

  754. So not just receiving, but after you've received, something grows something.

  755. The seed into your good soil has roots, and these

  756. roots help you to be strengthened so that you can

  757. do what God.

  758. Is seeking is speaking to you to do.

  759. Because you are the only Jesus with skin on that

  760. your classmates, that your workmates will ever see because Jesus

  761. ain't walking around here. You are so as you are

  762. the doer of the world. You are living out the

  763. living Word. You and I amongst one another and hopefully

  764. amongst our colleagues, our.

  765. Classmates, our family.

  766. But you need to be seen love, so that they

  767. can see the Christ in you, the Christ you are

  768. Jesus with skin on. Okay, you are Christ. If you

  769. take away Christ, what do you have? Ian can't help you.

  770. Who's he in here? No? Ian got in? We haven't Ian?

  771. All right, you take away Christ, you get an Ian

  772. and Ian can't save you. So we need the Christ

  773. in our walk. Amen, all right, okay, okay, so practice

  774. his word.

  775. We want a bare fruit. That's what we want to do.

  776. We wanna live our barefoot, enjoy it and say, wow,

  777. I can actually be a blessing. I can actually practice

  778. my faith.

  779. That's the thing.

  780. About being a Christian. You know what's the number one thing.

  781. The thing about being a follow of Christ is obedience.

  782. That's where we talk about. Obedience is the practicing.

  783. Of God's word.

  784. We obey if the Lord say something to you, obey

  785. if you'll not tell you to go.

  786. There you go.

  787. The Lord says, give give Lord as to be generous,

  788. be generous. If we ask you to be patient, be kind,

  789. have self control. You and I practice that, and we

  790. become the doers, become practitioners. We begin to live out

  791. his word. We do his word. Are we expected to

  792. overnight become like Yay? He knows our weaknesses. We are

  793. working progress, so we cheer each other on. We can

  794. be better.

  795. Amen.

  796. We keep growing, we keep developing, we keep bearing fruit

  797. bit by bit.

  798. Amen. That's the encouragement.

  799. And when we forward we feel we can't, the Lord

  800. will lift you up. He might use someone to lift

  801. you up here himself, the Holy Spirit come lift you up,

  802. or someone will come and encourage you. So let us

  803. be practicing his word as you draw near. All these

  804. things are impazzle of us living in the fullness of Christ.

  805. Amen.

  806. And lastly, my fourth point is to make him known, Amens.

  807. As you know Christ, you have the opportunity to make

  808. him known.

  809. Someone sees you. What's the difference? Why are you being

  810. so like that?

  811. Why are you so calm and cool in the midst

  812. of your in your whole you.

  813. Know things that are going on and lah, but you're not.

  814. You're just cool.

  815. Why meditating on God's word and you're saying, Lord, I'm

  816. trusting you to bring me through this situation. And as

  817. people see how you live, they're going to ask you.

  818. They're going to see your witness, your witnessing, your faith

  819. to the world, to your colleagues, to your classmates, your cosmates,

  820. your family.

  821. Make him known. Don't keep it.

  822. At a secret secret. I'm a secret Christian. Okay again,

  823. if you secret, no one will be blessed. But as

  824. you walk daily a man, you bear witness because you

  825. have been with Jesus and man, when you have your

  826. quiet time, when you meet with him first, you would

  827. have been with Jesus.

  828. I know. Sometimes when we pray and say.

  829. Lord, help me be patient, the next thing you cannot

  830. a patient thing right, and you're not patient. Happened happened

  831. last week? I pray, Lord, I promise I go to

  832. my meeting. I will not be proud, I will not

  833. be selfish, and I will encourage everyone. I went to

  834. the meeting and I saw what they had to present

  835. them and like, and then I'm like, go back repent

  836. again to try to alreadeem myself I'm sorry for me.

  837. They're like, you guys are not thinking, what kind of

  838. thing is this? Come on? But I don't don't see that.

  839. Don't say that, just say okay, okay, but I think

  840. it'd be better. But I didn't like straight away, Brad.

  841. I think they were just very.

  842. Kind to me and my team. So when you ask

  843. for patients, you will be tested. And just pray, Holy

  844. speit remind me, remind me not to not to give

  845. up so soon, not to all right, just walk in

  846. the spirit.

  847. Amen. So we gotta make him on hallelujah. All right,

  848. As you draw near to God, you will, you will

  849. learn to sense his love.

  850. You will love him back, and then you will keep

  851. his word as his word is released into your heart.

  852. As you are reading his word, keeping his word, hiding

  853. his word. You then become a practitioner. You actually act

  854. on the word that God has given to you and me.

  855. The kindness, the compassion, the generosity, the words that you speak,

  856. our praise, words of encouragement.

  857. Some of us don't have that. I'm not very encouraging, Pauson.

  858. I got to learn to do to not are you're bad?

  859. You're like, okay, well done.

  860. But I think we need to change, you know the

  861. first word, because I didn't grow up in that kind

  862. of environment.

  863. I grew an environment where everything was ah, your so lousy.

  864. So I used to say the same thing, but so

  865. long in Christ, I must learn.

  866. To change, change, transformation, and man so must be transformed

  867. by the Holy spirits reminding hey, hold on, hold on you.

  868. Sorry, I didn't hear you.

  869. Okay, So we we we practice is what we are

  870. being transformed. And then as we walk, our people are

  871. going to notice it. Make him know, don't hide your faith,

  872. make him know. We don't have to be perfect people.

  873. As much as the world will say, oh, but you're

  874. like that. I have my weakness that makes me human.

  875. But there is a power. There is a strength, There

  876. is the grace of God.

  877. That helps me to live every day.

  878. I'm not perfect, but I'm doing what I need to

  879. do and what I can do.

  880. At this stage, everyone grows.

  881. Nobody goes from from baby just born and jump and

  882. become a you know it in your Oh no, you

  883. go by stages crawling and then slowly walking and falling

  884. and walking and then running and then forever they leave

  885. you parents. Okay, if you become a parent, a child

  886. leaves you.

  887. Right.

  888. So, but for the first five years you're like, oh no,

  889. they're thinking so long to that. But that's how we develop,

  890. We grow, we move, and and that's what God makes

  891. in us. He calls us to grow, and that you

  892. want to see that growth in your own life. And

  893. and that's where we work with one another and we.

  894. Can learn from one another.

  895. So draw near to God, friends, draw near, and he

  896. will draw near to you. As he draw near to

  897. you and you're loving him, he comes and make his

  898. home with you. Whoa so special when you have a

  899. home of your own, you know, you think, who would

  900. you like to invite to stay in your house? Jesus

  901. wants to come and stay with you. Amen, he makes

  902. his home with you. Always have a guest room for Jesus, okay.

  903. And if not Jesus, Jesus represented to cannot.

  904. Stay with you. So you always have you make you say, God,

  905. you can abide in me. This is your home.

  906. And I want to have my heart open to you

  907. all the time. Lord, have your comes stay with me. Lord,

  908. don't stay with just weeping. Come stay with me too,

  909. all right? Right?

  910. And and God will make.

  911. His home with us, because He really loves us. He

  912. really wants to fellowship with you and me. He really

  913. wants to hear your cries, your complaints, your joys. I

  914. hope more thanksgiving and praise as you talk to the Lord,

  915. Thank you Lord. You know, yes, he's a small promotion,

  916. but it's still a promotion. Oh man, I did I

  917. fell again. I I stepped on that. Buton stores hope

  918. next day I won't. You know, I will be better.

  919. But you celebrate milestones. You celebrate different things because God

  920. celebrates you. Even when one person is saved, all Heaven rejoices,

  921. but we are so slow to rejoice. Ah one solnia, Hey,

  922. one sold thing easier. Hey, praise the Lord if a

  923. man and hallelujah.

  924. Right.

  925. So, even in your life, one thing that you overcome,

  926. the whole Heaven rejoices.

  927. The Father hugs you, loves.

  928. You, and receives you even when you are not perfect,

  929. because He did not say you have to be perfect.

  930. Come as you are, and I will mold you and

  931. I will transform you by the power of my love.

  932. So draw near anyways, no matter how you feel, Come

  933. near to God. He already will come near to you. Amen, hallelujah.

  934. He wants to build his home in you.

  935. He lives with you. Amen.

  936. So that's my encouragement Church, as we as we grow,

  937. we want to we want to grow in that. In

  938. that way as you start the year, ask the Lord

  939. you know, to really come in. As you come in

  940. to him, hallelujah, just loving God. I think above all

  941. else friends, As we said, it's not it's not about perfection.

  942. You having to be perfect then come to God.

  943. It's you being a broken person, an unfinished piece of artwork,

  944. and He finishes it.

  945. He does a mighty work. But we can draw near

  946. to him. Amen. We can draw near to the Lord. Amen.
