You're listening to a message to go from axt church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
A word with you as we start the year.
-
And and for me, this is what I was drawn
-
to just to get us going at this time. So
-
I'm going to be sharing the word here called Let's
-
draw near to God?
-
Amen? All right, let's draw near to God.
-
What a better time to renew your commitment, your love,
-
your focus by drawing near to God.
-
Amen. And it's a good thing to be able to
-
draw near to God. Friends.
-
You know, if you and I aren't to God, you're
-
drawing near to something. We're always going to draw near
-
to something else.
-
All right? Now, what does it mean to draw here?
-
To draw here to somebody is to come near to someone,
-
is to want to spend time with someone. It's to
-
dwell with that person, is to fellowship with that person.
-
And you want to be near, live with, or you know,
-
spend amount of time coming near to somebody or coming
-
near to something that you enjoy, that you like, so
-
you draw near. So I don't know what have you
-
been drawing near to?
-
Hey? All right?
-
What have you been drawing near to? If you're not
-
drawing near to God. You're drawing near to someone something
-
who knows what right. But when you draw near to God,
-
he's life giving. He's your daddy God, He's our father God,
-
he is our creator. God, he made us, He is
-
putting spirit the very fact for every human on earth.
-
You're not alive because you're just you know, made, you
-
know somewhere you have the breath of life that comes
-
from our creator. And his name is Jesus, a man,
-
the son of God, has given us his life. We
-
sang about him, and so we will draw near to
-
the things that we en we like. But I want
-
to encourage your, all of you and myself to draw
-
near to God.
-
To come near. Amen. And because we have to be careful.
-
If we don't have the first person that we draw
-
near to first, then God will not be first. Something
-
else will be drawn near to your books, drawn near
-
to your your relationships, drawn near to your children, your husband.
-
Good to draw near to your husband.
-
I'm here, but before that, to make all of that work,
-
drawn near to God.
-
All right?
-
And this verse comes from James, chapter four and verse eight.
-
If you turn to your bibles, we're still on the campaign.
-
Bring your own bible. Read your own bible, buy your
-
own bible, all right, okay, now, James Chapter four, verse
-
eight says James, Chapter four and verse eight there says,
-
draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
-
Amen. How about that? You know there are some people.
-
I want to draw near to, but they won't drawn
-
near to me. Oh yeah, like that, love, So, but
-
when you draw near to God, he wants to draw
-
near to you.
-
Amen.
-
If you, if nobody, if your friend, don't want to
-
draw near to it's okay. God wants to draw here
-
when you draw near to him. This is a given.
-
This is a sure thing. Even if you felt like
-
how I felt this morning, I overtook someone and I
-
lost my trend of thought. Oh yeah, Jesus, sorry, all right,
-
Oh I should have just kept me the be patient,
-
be patient.
-
But they're like, it's too long. It's too long, you know.
-
And yet I don't run away from God, but I
-
run to him in my in my leg in my failure.
-
All right, and he draws near to me. I'm always
-
assured that God would draw near when I draw near
-
to him. So if anything happens, friend, don't draw away,
-
but draw near no matter what. And we're gonna read
-
about that this morning. Okay, So another encouraging word. Because
-
number one, when I said draw near to God, what
-
does what happens? He will draw near to you. What's
-
another cool thing that happens when you draw near to God?
-
So John chapter fourteen and verse twenty three. John chapter
-
fourteen and verse twenty three here says. Now, this is
-
John chapter fourteen. And Jesus was speaking to his disciples.
-
And so that was Judas, not Judas Carriot, but Judas
-
the other. Another Judors said to him as Jesus was
-
saying that you know, I won't be here with you
-
very long. I'll be going away. And so this guy said, Lord,
-
how is it that you will manifest yourself to us
-
and not to the world. And Jesus said answered, and
-
said to him, if anyone loves me, he will keep
-
my word, and my Father will love him. And then
-
what happens, We the whole trinity, the Father, the Son,
-
and the Holy Spirit will come to that person and
-
make our home with him.
-
Wow, when you draw near.
-
To God is because we want to love God and
-
we keep his word.
-
Then the heavenly Father also loves.
-
Him already, no need to work for it. He already
-
loves you. But as you are longing. It's like that,
-
right when someone longs for your fellowship, and and and
-
and and and you draw and you know they come
-
to you. You you obviously would respond.
-
If you're like the person, like the person, I'd run
-
the sailor. But if you like the person, right, they
-
are your friend.
-
Right there, he says, my father will love him, and
-
we will come to him and make our home with him.
-
Hey, guys, you are a home. Yay, tell a neighbor.
-
You are a home to the living God. Amen, you
-
are a home.
-
Yeah.
-
See, you have a house.
-
Your whole body is said to be like a temple,
-
a house of the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit
-
is who that lives in us, that represents the whole Godhead.
-
God Father got the son and got the Holy Spirit.
-
He wants to make his home with us. Again, I
-
want to say, nobody wants to friend you. God Shu
-
wants to friend you, all right. Ema wants to live
-
with you, believe me, but to live me or with you?
-
Amen? All right? Because you love.
-
Him, you want to keep his word, and you are
-
loved by our heavenly Father. And so there's a drawing.
-
As you draw, he comes. Amen, Even when you thought
-
he wouldn't, he already came ten steps closer, Even when
-
you just said.
-
Papa, God, Father, God, just God.
-
Already came ten steps He ran to you, just when
-
you had the thought of him with that longing. And
-
then as you declare that you know, you make a
-
confession so that the whole heaven ist hear it, the
-
spiritual realm hears it that you want to join here
-
to God.
-
God's already at your doorstep. He wants to come.
-
And make his room and his house and everything in you.
-
Amen.
-
What a blessing, hallelujah. And that's what happens when you
-
love the Lord. And he continued to grow in your
-
walk and your love with the Lord God, he makes
-
his home with us. So you know, brother sissys, all
-
of us can take that opportunity.
-
You are live.
-
You're still here on planet Earth, drawn near, drawn near
-
to the one who.
-
Has given you the very breath of life.
-
Drawn near to the one who holds your life in
-
his hands. No, you know, nobody else holds your life.
-
Only God holds our lives. Whether things have are good
-
or where things have been challenging. He still holds your
-
life in his hand, because he's the one who gives
-
you life. So why not we draw near to the
-
one who loves us and gave his life for us. Amen,
-
and just experience the love, the comfort, the confidence, and
-
the grace of God. So I want to bring you
-
to three verses just to assure you of God's goodness
-
luck as you draw near to Him a man, and
-
I want to and I'll share that so that it's
-
real for you and to be able to absorb that
-
and catch it.
-
This morning. Now, I really love this verse.
-
And I'm taking three verses from the Book of Hebrews,
-
and I'm reading from the ESV version English Standard version.
-
All right, not new King James this morning, but just
-
for this English Standard version because it's simpler English. All right,
-
all right, he goes here, he goes, I put it
-
on the slide because it's ESV.
-
He says.
-
Let us then with confidence, everybody saying confidence, Yeah, draw
-
near to the Throne of Grace, that we may receive
-
mercy and may find.
-
Grace to help in time of need. Amen. This is
-
twenty twenty five.
-
Make your year count no matter what you're going through.
-
It says yeah, find that with the confidence. Let us
-
then with confidence drawn near, drawn near, too drawn near
-
to the throne of grace. Isn't it to the throne
-
of grace, and that you may receive and mercy and
-
find grace to help in time of need.
-
If there's any.
-
Any time in your life that you go through a
-
really tough challenge, I have to say for me, I've
-
only found this. No matter how far I may have fallen,
-
how far I feel I'm away from God, of how
-
how I use the word wretched, I.
-
Feel so sinful.
-
Sometimes no matter how far, God remains there, and I
-
find the confidence that He will not turn me away.
-
He will lend me, he will share with me, He
-
will clothe me with grace and with mercy. The mercy
-
of the Lord are new every morning. We may not
-
have that kind of mercy, but God has mercy that
-
is new every morning.
-
Find confidence to come.
-
There's there is no such thing as you see God
-
like someone who's gonna work you in the head.
-
Or I want to accept you. You didn't do this,
-
you do that.
-
Maybe I, as a person may say that to you
-
because human got some standards. God knows as a standard.
-
But the one thing God has is grace. It is
-
only grace that saved us. So it's nothing about what
-
we can do and will do, but it's what He
-
has done for us. This grace means what we don't deserve.
-
He already accepts us and he receives us. So no
-
matter how far we feel, I'm dirty, I messed up
-
my life. You know, you don't know pass even what
-
I did a last summer, but you know what, God knows,
-
knew it, But she receives us, and he clothes us
-
with his love and robe of righteousness. Find that grace
-
by see drawing me. I have the confidence that He
-
will not send you away sometimes humanly for me, Like example,
-
when I made a I don't know, I think I
-
liked my mom or something.
-
I was eighteen.
-
You know, she's said, can I have boyfriend? I had boyfriend,
-
then didn't tell her, then hide behind her, then go
-
watch movies with boyfriend. And then she found out because
-
my best friend told her. How can that be a
-
bed friend?
-
Right? My best friend is a school captain. No, so
-
I don't know. My mom called her. Oh, I think
-
she ran out with when I came home, just waiting
-
for me. I'm like happy, go ahead like ready, you
-
go like b and then no, don't lie to me,
-
all right, you know.
-
And it took her a long time too, you know,
-
So forgive me, right, I found the courage to say,
-
forgive me. I went to the Lord. The Lord received me.
-
Best thing ever is just turned to Jesus. Mom took
-
a long time, but I went to say sorry and
-
asked for her forgiveness. She took a long time. But
-
I tell you what, nothing like Jesus more important to
-
get it right. Sin against God, not just Mom, but God.
-
Because I didn't honor her. It took her a while.
-
But in the end, you know, I'm still the best daughter,
-
So take care of them. So it is the Lord
-
who brings that grace that I could step up again
-
and selphim again, even though I did.
-
Something not so good.
-
That means at our lowers. I want to encourage you.
-
Have the confidence to draw near. Have the confidence. You
-
might say you don't know my past. You might say
-
you don't know what I did last summer. You don't
-
know this, and I don't know nothing. It doesn't matter.
-
You need. I want to give you this confidence.
-
Come near to God, Come near to Jesus, come near, friends,
-
don't go away, even if you have a struggle, even
-
if you don't know your God, why is this happening?
-
You come near first.
-
I tell you he has already taken ten steps, and
-
he will make his home with you.
-
That is how good God is.
-
I walk so many years and still learning how good
-
he is, Still finding my faith in Jesus, still falling
-
in love with him, still, you know, heartbroken to come
-
to him and say, Wow.
-
You still receive me no matter what.
-
And I've got that confidence that he will give me
-
the grace that I need.
-
Amen.
-
Next verse that was Hebrews four sixteen. Next one is
-
Hebrews seven twenty five. It says Hebrews seven twenty five. Consequently,
-
consequently going to read the whole thing, he is able
-
to save to the utmost those who draw near to
-
God through him, since He always lives to make intercession
-
for them. So the verse before that, verse twenty four,
-
Verse twenty three says that Jesus is now seated at
-
the right hand of the Father, having gone through all
-
that he did on planet Earth, yet without sin or
-
he was tempted on all sides, Yet without sin he
-
finished the race he is seated at the right hand
-
of the Father. Consequently, he is able to save to
-
the utmost those who draw near to God through him,
-
since he always lives to make intercession for them. Amen
-
pros and says, if you think and say, are you
-
nobody prays for me?
-
True?
-
Maybe not, but Jesus lives to make intercession for.
-
You, you cannot say, I nobody pray for me.
-
So I feel no, no, no, no, no, no, you
-
never You didn't know that. Jesus every day look before
-
the Father and keeps praying for ben Help him, Lord,
-
you know, prosper him.
-
Lord.
-
You know he's going to this tough time, drawing, driving
-
the wrong way. Lord, help him.
-
Okay, So he makes intercession for us.
-
Jesus above all the high priests, the one who stands
-
before the Lord does not stand before God to condemn us.
-
He stands before the Lord to intercede for us. Whereas
-
the devil stands before the Lord and says, look at this, Steven,
-
he did it again. You didn't know what he did
-
last summer. That's what he does. He condemns us, but
-
there is no more condemning to them who are in Christ.
-
Jesus who walk under the law of the Spirit and
-
of life Romans eight. So Jesus, don't stand there and
-
say I tell you all that, girl, mm hmm, no, Allah, No,
-
he just stands, and he gave his life for us,
-
He shed his blood for us. He stands before the Lord,
-
interceding and remembering you and me, because He is omnipotent,
-
ever powerful, ever present, all knowing, and he makes intercession
-
on our behalf to just say, Lord, You're gonna work
-
in that person's life. So no matter how far you
-
feel you are, how down in the hole you are,
-
how rotten you feel you are, the Lord stands because
-
he has been through all things, tempted at all points,
-
but yet without sin. You can read that in Hebrew
-
seventh the verse above, he is therefore able to make intercessions.
-
So guys, just drawn here.
-
Start the year by saying, Lord, I might have gone
-
different ways, or you could be still arms with him,
-
but just drawn here, never stop drawing here, because we
-
are assured that He lives to make intercession for each
-
and every one of us. How assuring is that I
-
might not make intercession for you forever because I fall asleep.
-
But God makes intercessions Jesus makes intercession for you before
-
the Father. Amen, Hebrews eleven six. Is now this one
-
is you know ex charge inundated with this?
-
Without faith, it is impossible to please God. For whoever
-
would draw near to God.
-
As you drawn near to God, must believe that He exists,
-
and that he rewards those who seek him. I mean,
-
as you draw, you to draw near to God by faith.
-
It is faith.
-
The currency of heaven is not the time. But the
-
currency of heaven is not the UK pound, as high
-
as it is. The currency of heaven is come on faith,
-
your faith in the Lord. You just come here. You
-
just come here if you believe that he is, and
-
He rewards you, rewards you. If there's anything you and
-
I if anything at all you forget you just remember
-
one thing. Don't come by fear. Come by faith, believing
-
that he is. He is, He is, not, he will
-
He is all right. God is he is. And as
-
you come near, you are full of faith, not full
-
of fear. And as you seek him, as you come near,
-
you know that He's going to reward you. He's working
-
something for you because.
-
You say that he is. He's not a worset God.
-
He is God. He is alive. He is today.
-
So as you drawn down, there is a living experience.
-
There is a living anointing, a power, a presence that
-
connects with you and me. I don't know how else
-
to join it but to say, you just have to
-
come by faith. Actually, anything you do for the Lord,
-
you have to do it by faith. You want to
-
bake cake, baked by faith? Okay, you want to You
-
wanna go say sorry, do someone go by faith?
-
Sorry way, babe.
-
You know I'm scared or scared by faith. You know
-
how I had to say ask my mother for forgiveness.
-
I had to go by faith because you don't see
-
my faith. I live in the same house. I mean
-
I was a child then, I mean, young person, you
-
have to do it by faith. Even if someone rejects you,
-
you gotta do the right thing. And the right thing
-
is to apologize and to ask for forgiveness. And that's
-
why I did. Now, she wants to take forever that
-
it's her problem. She take it up with God. I've
-
got to take it up with the law and do
-
what I need to do as a child. And did
-
that and I had to wait, just wait. Look, I
-
mean mom didn't trust me, but you know in time.
-
This is it. That's all she got. She had to
-
accept me, right, So but I have to do the
-
right thing.
-
But I had to do it by faith even though
-
we fear and trembling. Are you I think you're going
-
to reject me? I just had to do that, amen.
-
So I don't know how else.
-
You want to start your year?
-
You know, plan all your studies and you know, study
-
every day, but then you leave, got out that window.
-
Come on, bring him along, drawn near to God first
-
drawn here for your studies, for your work. Hey, I
-
have to tell you I'm a student again. So I
-
totally get you. I totally do all right. I signed
-
up for my master's last year. Oh yeah, why am
-
I doing it right? My life is up to hear it,
-
my up to hear I know time no life kind
-
of my life is no life, meaning I don't just
-
do what I want to do.
-
I'm living my life. And then I had to go
-
and sign up. Oh my god. Alright, but I'm not
-
the only I've got four called.
-
I've got my three other Coaquila Pasta, Sarah Elder Rose and.
-
Past the Jack.
-
Four of us are doing our masters in education because
-
we have a school, and we want to be able
-
to whatever do for whatever we need to do for school.
-
But we need someone with the masters. But each of
-
us will contribute with ll also little legends. So we
-
all signed up, yeah, to do it by faith. I
-
haven't been to school for ages. I'm the oldest. I'm
-
grandma age right, so I could have grandchildren already. But
-
these guys they just finish UNI right, I'm.
-
Like finished a long time ago, and they're like, oh no.
-
In the first first semester, one subject only, I looked
-
at the assignment and.
-
For three days, three weeks, not three days three weeks,
-
I just looked at the assignment.
-
In fear that I cannot do this assignment group assignment.
-
Thank God got the group right, so they all can
-
do the work. I just come in for my ideas.
-
But the personal individual assignment, I don't know what this is.
-
I don't understand what is it.
-
I don't know to write academically, my England not academic?
-
How do right?
-
For three weeks I sat there and I told my
-
husband and he said, no, do't worry, you can do this.
-
No, it's a burden. Now he said that I can
-
help you.
-
Ready, Bye bye, oh my God, he's not helping me.
-
He is that you can do this, no three weeks.
-
I just stand at the question.
-
I'm thinking, I'm gonna cry in a hot burdon like
-
nothing like I don't.
-
I just don't know how to do. And you imagine that.
-
And then I have to eat like all the medicine
-
that I ever told all the campus students, right, I
-
used to and I would tell you that, and I
-
have to apply in my own life. I always say
-
to all the students studies a very easy one. I
-
think you don't have to go and kill yourself, break
-
your hair.
-
Just ask Holy Spirit. He will teach you.
-
Because that's what I did when I was in school
-
and college, right, Holy Spirit, you know, and he helped
-
me fair. I became a book price winner all right
-
for my subject for the one was gonna fail. Can
-
that book price? We know know for school only one ever?
-
Now? Eat back said, Holy Spirit, please help me. I
-
don't know what to do, Holy Spirit, Please help me.
-
I don't know what to do. Draw near to God, law,
-
and he will drawn near to you. I have to
-
read night all this student life and student thoughts. Right.
-
So went in there and looked at it for three weeks,
-
you know what. The word came to me and Luke
-
in the Book of Luke with the ten Leapers, and
-
the ten leapers said, Jesus, we want to be healed.
-
And Jesus said, okay, you heal, go to the.
-
Priests, and so they went, and as they went they
-
were healed. Basically, God was saying, if you don't start writing,
-
I can't help you.
-
I had to.
-
Write, but I don't know what to write so much
-
fear right, because that's the person and that's how I am,
-
and I cannot I just I just freeze. So I
-
had to start lo and behold my colleagues, the three
-
of them. Elder is the most smarteressler. She already has
-
NBA right, top student for par and everything.
-
What's the journal? Did all you?
-
So?
-
So i'mon to put off their par He already did
-
what do you doing?
-
Like that? And then he but okay, help me to
-
understand what I'm so. I've not done this before so
-
long time.
-
Oh like that terrible ad. This guy give me pressure.
-
So, you know, drawn near to God, right, So I
-
drew near to God, prayed and I had a presentation
-
early morning during quiet time. I keep saying, Holy p
-
please tell me. Have I got the right thing? And
-
digit you.
-
Got it wrong?
-
Wrong, wrong, presentation, got one whole chunk missing. In one
-
hour before I can I have to leave or got
-
to work, and I got to present my presentation because
-
I'm not going life, I'm going away or something.
-
What do I do? I don't know what to do.
-
I only go one hour before I go to work.
-
Then I remember the voice pass the Jack's voice.
-
You you you prompt like you prompt the AI.
-
And then all the students you know who I was
-
talking to past you can use the AI.
-
Cha like no.
-
But I only had one hour and I had to
-
draw out my whole thing, which which I just needed
-
to have an order. So I had the idea, but
-
the order was wrong. I missed out something. So I'm like, hello,
-
is it me you're looking for?
-
No? No, hello, Hello from me? O.
-
There's and CHG like hello, and and I put some
-
stuff there and I just need this.
-
How do I order it?
-
It helped me within the hour to get my thoughts
-
in order them. So these are my this is what
-
I want to do. How do I order it? Okayler,
-
Because the presentation would then have to look into my
-
actual assignment. The written I don't know how many thousand
-
words my would how many thousand words.
-
It's just an assignment.
-
It's like a million words, not not a million, but
-
it's just too many words now to right.
-
So put it there and had to present.
-
When I went for the final presentation and looked at everybody,
-
I want to cry, elder rose one like that.
-
Like no picture my slides, and I didn't easy. It's
-
like how I preach, But no, you're gonna have some academics,
-
so never mind. Did it? Finally did the assignment?
-
We did all our all of us I think hasted,
-
all of us hasted, all right, I think all four
-
of us hasted.
-
Yeah, I'm serious.
-
There very good students say, oh my good one paper.
-
We didn't so act it, but I think overall west it.
-
And then I got my results and then I looked
-
at it.
-
What is this three point seventy five? Oh how much?
-
I don't know?
-
No know?
-
Four I do you know? Anyone helped me? And then
-
I said, husband, husband, three point seven five was there.
-
That's very good. So I thought to check here, I
-
was preaching last week.
-
Inside, I said, he didn't even see his results because
-
you he came to the meal and he didn't even
-
check it. I'm sure they all got the same. I
-
don't know, maybe even high.
-
I'm not so clever.
-
But praise me to God, drawn near to God, drawn here,
-
and He is the one that helps us, helps me
-
in the seed for me, bring give me the brains
-
to write it. So fearful, and I tell you what
-
no other way, best teacher, Holy Spirit.
-
Three point seventy five. You would look at me really
-
serious for.
-
Someone who sat there for three weeks, took me a
-
whole two days to write the introduction for my TC statement.
-
Two days and it's so short and still two days
-
because I don't know how. I just looked at my
-
results and found that it was actually eight point ten
-
eight over ten just for the introduction presentation, seventeen over twenty.
-
Wow, that's very good, very good. Whoa not too bad?
-
But for someone who hasn't been to school for a
-
long long time, it was a lot of encouragement. I
-
just look at my second semester stuff and I went, oh,
-
it's tough.
-
It's tough. How I'm gonna do it? I don't know.
-
I've got travels the commission trips, and it's just a lot.
-
Right. I just said, help me, Lord, help me draw
-
near to God. So if all of you are students here,
-
If you are students, work with the Holy Spirit, draw
-
near to God. If a not very bright person like
-
me can do this, you are clever. So you are intelligent.
-
You're in University of Nottingham. Even more all right, so
-
you can do this with the Holy Spirit.
-
Imagine that because I don't even I haven't gone back.
-
I haven't gone to school for years. It's been no
-
how many years, thirty our years? The Lord helps us.
-
He stands to make intersession for Possandra, who doesn't know
-
one question.
-
Can imagine that? How much more? When you love him
-
and draw near to him, let him help you? Amen?
-
Number one, friends of us, drawing near as we draw near.
-
John Chapter fourteen twenty three just now says, what if
-
you love me? Number one, Love Jesus, best thing ever.
-
Just love Jesus a man, be in communion with him,
-
Talk to him because he will speak to you. Read
-
his word, because that's the next one would be to
-
keep his word. But this first one, love Jesus. A
-
man acknowledge his lordship acknowledge that he is Lord.
-
You are not Lord. When you draw near to God,
-
that that the fullness of God, that wholeness, you can
-
acknowledge that, Wow, you are Lord.
-
I'm not the master in the driver's seat, a man,
-
I'm not the master God is he's the driver. I
-
shouldn't be sitting in the wheel driving. Let him lead there.
-
And I don't know if I'm sitting there or am
-
I the back seat driver? Are you the messia driver?
-
Because Jesus said, yes, Jesus on the wheel, But are
-
you the messi driver?
-
I heard one.
-
Preachers say, because when Jesus says, I'm turning this way,
-
what way? Are you the road of generosity? I don't
-
want to be generous. Why are you going to the
-
road of generosity, Jesus. I don't want to be generous.
-
I don't want to give anything.
-
Is Jesus still on the wheel? Is Jesus take the wheel?
-
Come on?
-
So I'm like, WHOA love him and let him lead us.
-
Love him not just doing things for you, but having
-
a relationship with you. God doesn't want us to treat
-
him like a Santa Claus. He wants a relationship with
-
you and me for us to love him, to experience
-
him tangibly, hearing him in our hearts. You won't hear
-
I tell you, if you ever hear you and helone.
-
The OtherSide, are you better give your life up? Don't finny,
-
go and serve the Lord? Okay, all right? But he
-
speaks to your in a man, and you will hear
-
him in your heart and the heart. And when you
-
hear him.
-
God's word is not you are going to You're gonna cot.
-
He always says I love you. He always says that
-
you don't think you're worth loving, to be loved, but
-
he does love you.
-
Communicate as you would.
-
Communicate with any friend, because God hears you as you are.
-
You don't have to have a special English you want
-
to speak with him? It was okay, you want a
-
hockyn to God. Can you want to speak Malay? You
-
want to speak you know your own mother tongue, whatever
-
your language is, mandren huh, all right, any other language
-
wherever you are. Guess how you saw the death ministry.
-
Jesus can do sign language. Hello, all right, Jesus does
-
sign language to the death. He can sign. He can sign.
-
So whatever your language, you don't have to speak in
-
Queen's English. As broken as it is, he understands. Communicate
-
with him, speak with him, tell him your heart, love him,
-
know how much he loves you. Love him. A man
-
spend time in his presence. Honor God, honor the Lord
-
so much we have to learn. A man, the number
-
one says, if you love me, if you love me,
-
does love him because he loves you more than anything.
-
Therefore, keep his word. A man keep God's worth? Not
-
how do you keep it? You got to know the word.
-
You got to know it by reading his word and
-
by you know, meditating on God's word. It's hard, I
-
know sometimes thing I got so much to do. I
-
know what you feel like.
-
If you're a student, because I have no time. Now
-
imagine I work.
-
I still have to travel overseas and attend classes and
-
do assignments. And I still have a family. I taket
-
my husband. I have to clean house. I have the
-
clean church house. Also clean all of.
-
You up right?
-
Not? I mean, like Jesus, I still do the counseling,
-
I still visit hospital visitations, do all that.
-
How am I going to read God's word?
-
Right? You love him? You spend time with him, you
-
read his word. Set your time aside for the Lord.
-
Set time to read God's word, not just read, underline it,
-
memorize it, or meditate, read over and over again, so
-
that you will really know the essence of what God
-
is saying to you.
-
And that's what I've.
-
Been to being doing going back to school. Was not
-
just wake up and one to say, I have got
-
to do a simon, go do assignment. I get out
-
of the morning, go like I'm gonna meet Jesus first,
-
and they do my hour.
-
No enough for so one hour by on appen hour.
-
Now God's got to do assitement or just sit and
-
look at the question for next thirty minutes. But when
-
I get going, then a lot will guide me. You
-
keep his word.
-
We have the campaign or whatever we're encouraging everyone to be.
-
Yoh, b don't forget. It's not just a one day thing.
-
We'll continue talking about it. Bring your own Bible or
-
read your own Bible so that you will know God.
-
Don't just don't just watch YouTube messages friends, stop it.
-
That's a word from another man. Great word, great would
-
I think.
-
But you still got to read your own Bible because
-
you want to hear what God wants to say to you,
-
those are all supplementary.
-
I'm here, this is X.
-
I'm the passer of the church here, one of the
-
passes here. My job is to do what feed the sheep.
-
But the sheep got to eat the word. And you
-
gotta read it.
-
Man, you cannot just okay, just feed me. I'm feeding it, right.
-
You gotta come and eat it. You gotta here, come,
-
you know what.
-
I bring it to your mouth. You still gotta go
-
in right, So keep the word, read his word, take
-
hold of your Bible. Don't just oh, I'm listening to
-
a lot of other YouTube. What you got a messages
-
on YouTube? Great word, but that's someone else regurgitating something
-
else to you. Maybe they even took chat gibt and
-
came up with a message. I didn't do this with
-
che gibt. To pray and down load. You read it,
-
you know God. You read his love letter. Okay, whether
-
you got a printed copy or eat copy, just go
-
to the Word of God.
-
Amen.
-
Some one one nine verse eleven, Some one one nine
-
verse eleven. O. Well, King David would say.
-
You know your word? Have I hidden in my heart
-
that I might not sin.
-
Against you your word? Have I hidden in my heart
-
that I might not sin against you? How do you
-
god your heart? By hiding God's word? You can only
-
hide God's word if you read his word.
-
Amen. Amen. If you don't read, then you cannot hide.
-
How can you hide? You don't have nothing to hide,
-
hide nothing to hide.
-
You might be hiding netflix story in your heart can't
-
save you.
-
You might be.
-
Oh fatick Stephen Fertig, Oh my God, you're listening.
-
Oh, I want to hide his word. He's not God.
-
Come on, get to the word. Read it for yourself.
-
Let it read you. When you read God's word, God's
-
word is a living word. It reads you.
-
The word is living and that's how people get transformed.
-
I kid you not. As a new believer.
-
At seventeen years old, I read the New Testament, and
-
the word of God transformed me from being silly and
-
crazy and aimless and no confidence and nothing. Keeping God's
-
word transform me that I couldn't believe that he changed
-
my life. You read God's word, But I think many
-
of us don't read cover to cover. That's why we
-
read whatever we want or whenever we want.
-
But make a date with the Lord. Love him. Keep
-
his word, amen, because it will keep you number three.
-
Practice his word?
-
So reading it is one thing you've got to Yeah,
-
you gotta work it, man, work it, okay. No, practicing
-
is be a doer of God's word.
-
Hallelujah. Amen. When we read.
-
God's word, we we we see something that is in action,
-
and we can do his word a man. We can
-
remind each other. So what am I doing? I'm reminding
-
you to do God's work.
-
To do If it says.
-
Love one another, hey, love one another is a do word, right,
-
It's love is a verb.
-
So how to say I love you, but don't.
-
Do nothing for you? You and seek in hospital? I should
-
come busy you leah?
-
All right? So do something? What you learn, you forgive? Okay?
-
Help be kind all right? Have joy? Okay, right, receive
-
the joy of the Lord. Be patient.
-
God is very patient with us. How can you and
-
I be patient with people who frustrate you?
-
Do do?
-
I have to practice the word a man, because he's
-
my master. I submitted my life to him. I'm slowly
-
outworking it by the grace of God. Again, he's helping me. Right,
-
because we definitely can learn from one another. When when
-
I hear you share the word, or when I you know,
-
we learn from another.
-
I see you do something well, I've never thought about that.
-
I never thought I could do that, And so I
-
learned from what you are doing. Out of your what
-
you what you caught from the lot, and I saw
-
you doing it.
-
I can learn from you.
-
We learn from each other the living word that's become
-
life to each other a man. Hallelujah. So John chapter fifteen,
-
verse seven to eight. John chapter fifteen, when you hear
-
about the true vine, Yes, suspcd nan keita cha bangna
-
Jesus the vine, and we had the branches passage. But
-
seven and verse seven and eight says, if you abide
-
in me and my word abides in you, and then
-
you will ask what you desire, it shall be done
-
for you.
-
And he says that by.
-
This my Father's glorified that you bear much fruit, so
-
you will be my disciples.
-
So the doing is the bearing of fruit a man.
-
So not just receiving, but after you've received, something grows something.
-
The seed into your good soil has roots, and these
-
roots help you to be strengthened so that you can
-
do what God.
-
Is seeking is speaking to you to do.
-
Because you are the only Jesus with skin on that
-
your classmates, that your workmates will ever see because Jesus
-
ain't walking around here. You are so as you are
-
the doer of the world. You are living out the
-
living Word. You and I amongst one another and hopefully
-
amongst our colleagues, our.
-
Classmates, our family.
-
But you need to be seen love, so that they
-
can see the Christ in you, the Christ you are
-
Jesus with skin on. Okay, you are Christ. If you
-
take away Christ, what do you have? Ian can't help you.
-
Who's he in here? No? Ian got in? We haven't Ian?
-
All right, you take away Christ, you get an Ian
-
and Ian can't save you. So we need the Christ
-
in our walk. Amen, all right, okay, okay, so practice
-
his word.
-
We want a bare fruit. That's what we want to do.
-
We wanna live our barefoot, enjoy it and say, wow,
-
I can actually be a blessing. I can actually practice
-
my faith.
-
That's the thing.
-
About being a Christian. You know what's the number one thing.
-
The thing about being a follow of Christ is obedience.
-
That's where we talk about. Obedience is the practicing.
-
Of God's word.
-
We obey if the Lord say something to you, obey
-
if you'll not tell you to go.
-
There you go.
-
The Lord says, give give Lord as to be generous,
-
be generous. If we ask you to be patient, be kind,
-
have self control. You and I practice that, and we
-
become the doers, become practitioners. We begin to live out
-
his word. We do his word. Are we expected to
-
overnight become like Yay? He knows our weaknesses. We are
-
working progress, so we cheer each other on. We can
-
be better.
-
Amen.
-
We keep growing, we keep developing, we keep bearing fruit
-
bit by bit.
-
Amen. That's the encouragement.
-
And when we forward we feel we can't, the Lord
-
will lift you up. He might use someone to lift
-
you up here himself, the Holy Spirit come lift you up,
-
or someone will come and encourage you. So let us
-
be practicing his word as you draw near. All these
-
things are impazzle of us living in the fullness of Christ.
-
Amen.
-
And lastly, my fourth point is to make him known, Amens.
-
As you know Christ, you have the opportunity to make
-
him known.
-
Someone sees you. What's the difference? Why are you being
-
so like that?
-
Why are you so calm and cool in the midst
-
of your in your whole you.
-
Know things that are going on and lah, but you're not.
-
You're just cool.
-
Why meditating on God's word and you're saying, Lord, I'm
-
trusting you to bring me through this situation. And as
-
people see how you live, they're going to ask you.
-
They're going to see your witness, your witnessing, your faith
-
to the world, to your colleagues, to your classmates, your cosmates,
-
your family.
-
Make him known. Don't keep it.
-
At a secret secret. I'm a secret Christian. Okay again,
-
if you secret, no one will be blessed. But as
-
you walk daily a man, you bear witness because you
-
have been with Jesus and man, when you have your
-
quiet time, when you meet with him first, you would
-
have been with Jesus.
-
I know. Sometimes when we pray and say.
-
Lord, help me be patient, the next thing you cannot
-
a patient thing right, and you're not patient. Happened happened
-
last week? I pray, Lord, I promise I go to
-
my meeting. I will not be proud, I will not
-
be selfish, and I will encourage everyone. I went to
-
the meeting and I saw what they had to present
-
them and like, and then I'm like, go back repent
-
again to try to alreadeem myself I'm sorry for me.
-
They're like, you guys are not thinking, what kind of
-
thing is this? Come on? But I don't don't see that.
-
Don't say that, just say okay, okay, but I think
-
it'd be better. But I didn't like straight away, Brad.
-
I think they were just very.
-
Kind to me and my team. So when you ask
-
for patients, you will be tested. And just pray, Holy
-
speit remind me, remind me not to not to give
-
up so soon, not to all right, just walk in
-
the spirit.
-
Amen. So we gotta make him on hallelujah. All right,
-
As you draw near to God, you will, you will
-
learn to sense his love.
-
You will love him back, and then you will keep
-
his word as his word is released into your heart.
-
As you are reading his word, keeping his word, hiding
-
his word. You then become a practitioner. You actually act
-
on the word that God has given to you and me.
-
The kindness, the compassion, the generosity, the words that you speak,
-
our praise, words of encouragement.
-
Some of us don't have that. I'm not very encouraging, Pauson.
-
I got to learn to do to not are you're bad?
-
You're like, okay, well done.
-
But I think we need to change, you know the
-
first word, because I didn't grow up in that kind
-
of environment.
-
I grew an environment where everything was ah, your so lousy.
-
So I used to say the same thing, but so
-
long in Christ, I must learn.
-
To change, change, transformation, and man so must be transformed
-
by the Holy spirits reminding hey, hold on, hold on you.
-
Sorry, I didn't hear you.
-
Okay, So we we we practice is what we are
-
being transformed. And then as we walk, our people are
-
going to notice it. Make him know, don't hide your faith,
-
make him know. We don't have to be perfect people.
-
As much as the world will say, oh, but you're
-
like that. I have my weakness that makes me human.
-
But there is a power. There is a strength, There
-
is the grace of God.
-
That helps me to live every day.
-
I'm not perfect, but I'm doing what I need to
-
do and what I can do.
-
At this stage, everyone grows.
-
Nobody goes from from baby just born and jump and
-
become a you know it in your Oh no, you
-
go by stages crawling and then slowly walking and falling
-
and walking and then running and then forever they leave
-
you parents. Okay, if you become a parent, a child
-
leaves you.
-
Right.
-
So, but for the first five years you're like, oh no,
-
they're thinking so long to that. But that's how we develop,
-
We grow, we move, and and that's what God makes
-
in us. He calls us to grow, and that you
-
want to see that growth in your own life. And
-
and that's where we work with one another and we.
-
Can learn from one another.
-
So draw near to God, friends, draw near, and he
-
will draw near to you. As he draw near to
-
you and you're loving him, he comes and make his
-
home with you. Whoa so special when you have a
-
home of your own, you know, you think, who would
-
you like to invite to stay in your house? Jesus
-
wants to come and stay with you. Amen, he makes
-
his home with you. Always have a guest room for Jesus, okay.
-
And if not Jesus, Jesus represented to cannot.
-
Stay with you. So you always have you make you say, God,
-
you can abide in me. This is your home.
-
And I want to have my heart open to you
-
all the time. Lord, have your comes stay with me. Lord,
-
don't stay with just weeping. Come stay with me too,
-
all right? Right?
-
And and God will make.
-
His home with us, because He really loves us. He
-
really wants to fellowship with you and me. He really
-
wants to hear your cries, your complaints, your joys. I
-
hope more thanksgiving and praise as you talk to the Lord,
-
Thank you Lord. You know, yes, he's a small promotion,
-
but it's still a promotion. Oh man, I did I
-
fell again. I I stepped on that. Buton stores hope
-
next day I won't. You know, I will be better.
-
But you celebrate milestones. You celebrate different things because God
-
celebrates you. Even when one person is saved, all Heaven rejoices,
-
but we are so slow to rejoice. Ah one solnia, Hey,
-
one sold thing easier. Hey, praise the Lord if a
-
man and hallelujah.
-
Right.
-
So, even in your life, one thing that you overcome,
-
the whole Heaven rejoices.
-
The Father hugs you, loves.
-
You, and receives you even when you are not perfect,
-
because He did not say you have to be perfect.
-
Come as you are, and I will mold you and
-
I will transform you by the power of my love.
-
So draw near anyways, no matter how you feel, Come
-
near to God. He already will come near to you. Amen, hallelujah.
-
He wants to build his home in you.
-
He lives with you. Amen.
-
So that's my encouragement Church, as we as we grow,
-
we want to we want to grow in that. In
-
that way as you start the year, ask the Lord
-
you know, to really come in. As you come in
-
to him, hallelujah, just loving God. I think above all
-
else friends, As we said, it's not it's not about perfection.
-
You having to be perfect then come to God.
-
It's you being a broken person, an unfinished piece of artwork,
-
and He finishes it.
-
He does a mighty work. But we can draw near
-
to him. Amen. We can draw near to the Lord. Amen.
