  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your.

  3. Tea, raise the Lord. So what do we know and

  4. what do we need to know about gratitude? Right, let's

  5. look to Exodus fifteen twenty two, reading from verse twenty

  6. two to twenty seven. Now, the best way to learn

  7. gratitude is to learn it from the most ungrateful people

  8. who ever listed in the Bible. And you know whose

  9. people that was His people? You know that God's people

  10. was probably the most ungrateful, the most ungrateful bunch you

  11. can ever come across. So you want to learn gratefulness,

  12. well you're going to learn it from an ungrateful people. Okay.

  13. So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea, and they

  14. went out into the world. Sure, and they went three

  15. days in the wilderness and found no water. Now when

  16. they came to Mara, angry. When they came to Angry. Now,

  17. when they came to Mara, they could not drink the

  18. waters of Mara, for they were bitter. Therefore the name

  19. of it was called Mara. I just want you to

  20. know that this was about, if I'm not mistaken. Less

  21. than two weeks after they had left Egypt, all right,

  22. It was less than two weeks. And in about two

  23. weeks they came to this place and they had no water,

  24. and the people complained against Moses, saying, what shall we drink?

  25. So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord

  26. showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters,

  27. the waters were made sweet. You know, you and I

  28. do not believe in a god who is shorthanded. You

  29. and I, we do not believe in a God who

  30. is unable to see something happen in our life. There

  31. are few ways to get things happening in our life.

  32. And if you look at what the children of Israel did,

  33. God give them one chance. You know this very first

  34. time that they complained against Moses because they thought they

  35. were complaining against Moses. But who asked Moses to get

  36. the people out of Egypt? It was God. Hey, if

  37. I was Moses, I would stay where I was, man,

  38. why not? But I see a burning bush? And then

  39. this God, whom I meet for the first time, tells

  40. me you go and get them out. So now, when

  41. the people were saying and complain against Moses, you led

  42. us to a place where there's no water. Who were

  43. they complaining against They were complaining against God. See you

  44. and I, when we work for the Lord, who are

  45. we deputized by? We're deputies. We wear badgers, deputies, you know,

  46. your deputy of the Lord. Who is your authority? Your

  47. authority is God? Under Whose service? Are you and I?

  48. Under God's service? When someone comes against us? Are they

  49. coming against us when we are serving the Lord? You

  50. and I got it wrong. They are not coming against us.

  51. They are coming against the authority that God has given us.

  52. So who is going to be there to take care

  53. of it? It's God? So relax men, I'm just starting

  54. off by telling you in twenty twenty five, relax, if

  55. some every one comes against you when you are doing

  56. the right thing under the leading and guidance of God Almighty,

  57. let God handle it. Let God handle it. That is

  58. not the message. That is just a teaser. Okay, continuing it.

  59. Then He made a statute and an ordinance with them,

  60. and there he tested them. So the very first complaint,

  61. God did not rebuke them. Do you notice that there

  62. was no rebuke from the Lord. He just why you

  63. want to complain? It's so easy for me, Hey, Moses,

  64. you see that tree, Just take that tree and throw

  65. into the water. It's going to be fine, and the

  66. water from bitter became sweet. Have you tasted sweet water before?

  67. Has anyone tasted sweet water before? I'm not talking soft drinks, Okay,

  68. I tell you. It was about maybe three or four

  69. years back. We had this X Men war and we

  70. had to We went on this track. Okay. It was

  71. somewhere near Hulu, somewhere past Umpunk. I don't ask me.

  72. I can't even remember the name. All I know is

  73. we parked a car there and then we had to

  74. track up the hill, which was about two kilometers up,

  75. and it was streams and water everywhere and broken branches

  76. and trees. So it wasn't an easy track. And at

  77. that time it was about forty pounds ago, and you know,

  78. I had to track additional weight up. And I'm telling you,

  79. by the time I reached the top, in fact, I

  80. didn't think I was going to make it. I did

  81. not think I was going to make it to the top.

  82. When I got to the top, I was dead tired.

  83. I felt they were going to carry me out in

  84. a stretcher. That's how tired I was. I was complet

  85. gone and I didn't have a bottle of water with me.

  86. And here we were at the top with these nice rocks,

  87. and we're sitting on these rocks, and I saw this water.

  88. This water was so clear, it looked so clean. Don't

  89. ever do this, because I realized after I did it

  90. that it was a bad thing to do. But I

  91. drank this water. I promise you it was the sweetest

  92. water I'd never did. The water tasted sweet, and it

  93. was so cool, and it was so refreshing. And with

  94. that water I made it down the hill without being

  95. on a stretcher. And only later I realized that if

  96. you drink water from a stream, you can get laptos pyrosis.

  97. So don't ever do what I did. But praise the Lord.

  98. He preserved me. So yes, God is able to make

  99. bitter water sweet. So he made a statue in an audience,

  100. an ordinance for them, and he what did he do?

  101. He tested them. Hey, guys, realize in twenty twenty five,

  102. when things don't go right, I dare say, everything is

  103. a test. Everything is a test. Every situation you face

  104. is a test, a test for what the Lord the

  105. word and said. If you diligently heed the voice of

  106. the Lord your God and do what is right in

  107. his sight. Give you to his commandments, and keep all

  108. the statutes. I will put none of the diseases on

  109. you which I have brought on the Egyptians, for I

  110. am the Lord who heals you. The very first testing

  111. that they had, they failed. But you know God did

  112. not rebuke them, and God did not say you failed.

  113. He just said I tested them. They missed the man.

  114. But if they were to take heed to what I'm saying,

  115. look at the miracle that I've done. Man, just have

  116. a look at it. Bitter was made sweet with but

  117. a tree being thrown in the water. If you can

  118. remember that and do everything, heed my voice, listen to me,

  119. do what is right in his side. Listen and do.

  120. Listen and don't do don't cut it. Listen and do again.

  121. Give yer, which means listen. Second time he is saying,

  122. listen and keep all. Keep all is a doing of

  123. what you hear. So you listen and you do. If

  124. you listen and you do, you're gonna be healed. So

  125. Pastor Stephen was just saying, I fixed a lot of

  126. things because I listened to the Lord and he tells

  127. me what to do. I'll give you an update. Okay,

  128. I'll tell you what's happening. Now. My washing machine started

  129. to shudder and make noise like nobody's business. It looked

  130. like the washing machine was going to fly off. That's

  131. how bad it was. It actually moved about one foot

  132. in one cycle ball and I thought, oh no, it's gone.

  133. I have to get a new washing machine. And then

  134. I heard the Lord say it's the absorbers. Washing machine

  135. got absorbers, Yes, got absorbers. So I went into the internet.

  136. I did some research and I fund, yeah, it has absorbers.

  137. You know how much the absorber is? Twenty eight ring it?

  138. I need two fifty six ring it. So now I'm

  139. going to take my washing machine apart and fix it.

  140. So I'll give you an update because I heeded the

  141. voice of the Lord. So then they came to Ilimb.

  142. Now after this, they came to Ilimp and there were

  143. twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees, and they

  144. came there by the waters. This is what God is

  145. showing you. I am able to give you peace, man,

  146. I'm able to bless you beyond your wireless imagination. So

  147. a bitter water made sweet Hey, that's not good enough.

  148. I'm going to give you wells of water. There's so

  149. much water you don't have to worry about it. And

  150. this one came with seventy palm trees. How many of

  151. you know that palm trees give you what dads? And

  152. how many of you like dates? Okay, some of you

  153. dates looked to me like cockroaches, But okay, it is

  154. very nice and sweet, and you know they're very good

  155. for you. They're actually very very healthy. So the Lord

  156. provided provided for them. This is the thing that bothers me.

  157. This is the thing that bothers me about the children

  158. of Israel. They were so quick after two weeks of

  159. seeing waters pot and they walked through that great miracle,

  160. they already begin to doubt God. Do you realize that

  161. faith based on miracles will fail? Your faith has never

  162. meant to rely on miracles. But your faith has all

  163. always been meant to rely on the word of God.

  164. Isn't that what was said? If you will take heed

  165. to what I say, God did not say, if you

  166. will take heed to the miracles you see? You know

  167. how many people I know who've seen great miracles who've

  168. left the Lord, you say, because miracles don't cut it.

  169. The word of God does. When I first became a

  170. Christian in the eighties, yeah sorry, it was yeah, the

  171. late seventies. Let me tell you. At that time, parents

  172. would have kill you if you left the faith that

  173. they believed in. I mean, I was thrown out of

  174. the house. I had to leave. God preserved my life

  175. and he made things better. There was one guy whom

  176. I knew in this church that I was attending many

  177. many many years ago. It was in a very, very

  178. poor place, and this guy he would attend church and

  179. every time he went home from church, his father would

  180. beat into half inch of his life, tie him to

  181. a tree and whack him, but he would still come

  182. to church. There was one time he attended church and

  183. he was cycling back home and the chain kept coming off.

  184. But he had to cycle back home quickly so he

  185. can get home before his father does, because if he

  186. got home after his father does, he would be in

  187. for her threshing. He made it back home. Next morning

  188. he came in. He looked at his bike and I

  189. thought there was no change. So if there was no chain,

  190. how did he get home. He retraced his journey, you

  191. know where he found a chain. We found the chain

  192. about one kilometer away? How did he get home? Sorry,

  193. today he is an unbeliever. He's left the Lord. You

  194. know why, because miracles do not cut it. You do

  195. not base your life on fantastic things that happen. You

  196. base your life on the world of God. It only

  197. took three days, okay, for the children of Israel to

  198. to give another complaint. All right, we have no water.

  199. There was another thing to say, You know, we have

  200. no meat. This bothered me. We have no meat to eat.

  201. Did this statement ever bother you? That God had to

  202. send quail for them to eat? Did it bother you?

  203. It really bothered me because my memory seems to always

  204. come back that when they left Egypt, they did not

  205. live without cows and goats and sheep. You read scripture,

  206. they had livestock. What is livestock. Livestock is not one

  207. or two, you know, Livestock is a multitude of animals.

  208. But do you know that they still complained they had

  209. no meat. If you say that the meat was for

  210. the sacrifice to the Lord, I got two problems with that. Number. One,

  211. that would mean every single lamb, god and sheep that

  212. they took out of Egypt should have no blemishes because

  213. you cannot sacrifice anything with a blemish to the Lord.

  214. That is a statistical impossibility because that would make their

  215. sacrifice cheap. It would preclude them from going through the

  216. animal and checking to see that it was perfect prior

  217. to it being sacrificed. So I have a problem with that.

  218. Not all of them were perfect. The second issue I

  219. have with that is do you know that when they

  220. sacrifice the sheep a portion was given back to them

  221. to eat? Are you aware? So how can they say

  222. they had no meat? Let me tell you the answer

  223. is very simple. They were selfish people. They were selfish people.

  224. They only thought of themselves, only thought I'm not going

  225. to Hey, this is for me to sell its economy, man,

  226. I'm not going It was a backup plan. They were

  227. going to a land The Bible says they were going

  228. to land flowing with milk and honey. If you go

  229. to a land flowing land flowing with milk and honey,

  230. you mean to say it will not have sheep in

  231. golden cow? You mean to say that. It simply means

  232. that these guys were selfish. Everything is a test, man,

  233. You're going to go through life. Everything is a test.

  234. I remember somebody I was doing a work. I was

  235. doing work in someone's house and they gave me two guava,

  236. one small and one big. And there was another person

  237. working in the house. And this person, the pastor pastor

  238. told me go and give one guava to the other

  239. person who was working to eat. And I did not

  240. know he was watching me. I went to this person

  241. and I gave the small the small glava, but just

  242. before he took it, I took back the small guava

  243. and I gave him the large Baba and I went away.

  244. They turned. The pastor came in told me and he said,

  245. I tested you. Thankfully you passed the tests. You see,

  246. everything is a test. You're going through some difficulty, It's

  247. a test. What is God trying to see? He's trying

  248. to see whether you will give him up or not.

  249. When my sister went through that that just before she

  250. she she passed away, she said, Terrence, I do not

  251. know what else to do. You know what I told her,

  252. You've done everything you need to do. Because despike, this spain,

  253. this despiked this problem that you're going through, you still

  254. have Jesus on your lips. You've not given it given

  255. him up. You know what that is, you've passed the tests.

  256. Bitterness are the challenges that we face. We're going to

  257. face many challenges this year. Do you know what is

  258. the sweetness? The sweetness is our response. This is simple

  259. to God, a tree thrown into bitter water. So the

  260. question is a and the main takeaway from this portion

  261. is do you know that abundance is a test? You

  262. know when you got a lot, it's a test. And

  263. how do we know that the children of Israel actually

  264. had a lot when they left Egypt, but they would

  265. not even eat it for themselves, but they wanted to complain.

  266. I'm gonna make another statement, and this is a bold one.

  267. Entitlement is the spirit of slavery. Entitlement is the spirit

  268. of slavery. Do you know there were slaves for four

  269. hundred years? It made them feel entitled. How can one

  270. say that they had nothing right? But as slaves they

  271. feel the world owes me a living because of this

  272. hard life I'm living. What is that entitlement? Check yourself.

  273. If you feel you're entitled to something in your office,

  274. oh it's it's my right. If you feel you're entitled

  275. to something in church, check yourself. That is the spirit

  276. of slavery at work. What a statement to mega think

  277. about it. Abundance is a test. How do we respond? Okay,

  278. let's move on. Exodus sixteen, and they journeyed from Elim,

  279. and all the congregation of the children of Israel came

  280. to the wilderness of Sin, the wilderness of Sin which

  281. is between elements and I and the fifteen day of

  282. the second month, after they had departed from the land

  283. of Egypt. So you know, the time that they left

  284. between this is actually between fifteen thirty days something like that. Now,

  285. and the whole congregation of the children of Israel is

  286. the second time that they are complaining no gratitude. Children

  287. of Israel complain against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.

  288. And the children of Israel said to them all that

  289. we had died by the hand of the Lord. Blame

  290. God again. I have a special word for them, which

  291. I cannot say here. Starts with the letter I and

  292. ends with the letter T. I mean, come on, you,

  293. blame God, oh, that we had died by the hand

  294. of the Lord in the land of Egypt, where we

  295. sat by the pots of meat, and when we eat

  296. bread to the full, for you have brought us into

  297. this wilderness to kill the whole assembly with hunger. Hey,

  298. you have brought Who are they complaining against Moses? What

  299. did we say earlier on? They were complaining against God?

  300. Because who asked God? Who asked Moses to get involved? God,

  301. be very careful when you and I complain against your leader,

  302. against your spiritual leader over there, guys like this, like that,

  303. like this, like that, be very careful, because when you

  304. complain against your spiritual leader, you just not may be

  305. complaining against your spiritual leader. You may be complaining against

  306. God who asked him to do it for you. Hey,

  307. it is are important lessons you want to proceed and

  308. progress in twenty five. Get the little things right, get

  309. your understanding right, and you will change. You see a

  310. change in your life. You see things happen so all

  311. that we had died and you know you brought. Did

  312. they really have a lot of meat in Egypt to eat?

  313. I know of no slave master who will give them

  314. a lot of food? Do you you know they are

  315. the work? There are the bosses of the seventies. You

  316. know you have you come across the bosses of the seventies. No,

  317. you are too young. Let me explain to you the

  318. bosses of the seventies. You know how they used to

  319. treat their words. They are their workers. They will shout

  320. with them all the four letter, five letters, six, seven, eight,

  321. ten kind of letters of words. They will shout at you.

  322. They will scream at you. They will make you look

  323. like a fool, They will make you look small. They

  324. thought that was the way to manage. Oh, the manager

  325. you have now is not the same managers you get.

  326. And you ask anybody who's gone through the working in

  327. the seventies, they will tell you the same thing. Such

  328. bosses do exist now, These bosses in their own mind,

  329. they are perfect people. You know, when they give something

  330. to someone, they say, you know, I gave this, I

  331. give that, But they don't tell you the strings that

  332. were attached to that gift. And these people, no one

  333. speaks against them, but the kind ones, the godly ones

  334. who now try and do right. Ah, you talk against them,

  335. be careful. And these bad bosses of the seventies gave

  336. you peanuts, but they thought they were giving you the world.

  337. So how is it that the children of Israel could

  338. ever say we had pots of meat and a lot

  339. to drink in Egypt? There is no way The spirit

  340. of slavery, I said, is entitlement. It warps your mind.

  341. It makes you see things that don't exist, and it

  342. makes things that exist seem like they don't exist. So

  343. be very careful. You don't ever want your mind walked.

  344. So why is it so easy to complain? You know

  345. how short is our memory? Check ourselves, check ourselves. America

  346. can happen. And just after fifteen days of that miracle

  347. of the water being turned from bitter to sweet, and

  348. twelve days after ilim, they are now complaining you brought

  349. us here to die. What is their fascination with death?

  350. Let me tell you you will have what you say.

  351. You will have what you say. It is a spiritual

  352. principle that works for good and for bad. If you

  353. say dialah, you will die. I am very very against

  354. people using this word a dilah sailor. I think that's right.

  355. You know why they do not know what cause they're

  356. calling upon themselves. You shall have what you say. Isn't

  357. it so much better to say it's going to get better,

  358. It's going to be okay. Not because I can make

  359. it okay, but I believe in a God who loves you.

  360. It's going to be okay. You know when when people

  361. come up to me with a problem and I hear

  362. the problem and then I pray, and I always tell

  363. them it's going to be okay. You know why, because

  364. God loves them, that same God who turned that bit

  365. of water to sweet. But the throw of a tree,

  366. what can you do in yours and my life? And

  367. told things twenty twenty five can be exciting for us

  368. if we take heed to what God has told us.

  369. Don't rely on miracles, rely on the world. So what's

  370. the main takeaway from this portion? Well, as I said,

  371. the spirit of slavery, it's entitlement. Everybody owes us a living.

  372. I mean, this is something that we are quite used

  373. to in our country. Let it be because it's a

  374. mentality that you don't want. You don't want that ten

  375. of mentality. Let God give you what you need. Let

  376. you not feel that you are entitled to anything. There

  377. is one thing you are entitled to, and I'll tell

  378. it to you. Now you know what you're entitled to.

  379. You and I praise the Lord. We are entitled to

  380. the love of God. That is something we are entitled to.

  381. For God's soul loved that he gave Jesus, we are

  382. entitled to that. If God says we are entitled, we

  383. are entitled. And there's a song, you know, a scripture.

  384. For I am persuaded to believe. Nothing can separate us

  385. from the wonderful love of God. For above it was

  386. senis if we let him live within as well in

  387. the simple world we trot neither height nor death, nor principalities,

  388. things present nor things to come. Though the devil haters,

  389. he can never separate us from the wonderful love of God.

  390. How many of you know that song? None of you know? Okay,

  391. you know that's the wonderful thing. Scripture is put in

  392. song because I was trying to remember this verse, and

  393. and then the song came in, and I said, praise

  394. the Lord for the song, so I can remember the scripture.

  395. The only thing that you and I are entitled to

  396. in this world is the love of God, because if

  397. we are going to be slaves, let us be a

  398. slave to God. So the thing about this spirit of

  399. slavery is you blame God for everything. If you blame

  400. God for your mishaps and for the things that go wrong,

  401. you blame God for your misfortune. That's a spirit of slavery.

  402. You blame everybody else when things don't go your way.

  403. That is the spirit of slavery. It warps our understanding

  404. of reality. Moses had already escaped Egypt. Why on earth

  405. did he need to go back to these people forty

  406. years earlier they told him it's none of your business.

  407. Do you remember if you read the story? Forty years

  408. before that the Israelites told him it's none of your

  409. business and he ran away. Why does he need to

  410. go back and put up with this group of people?

  411. So does the world really give you all you need

  412. to eat or drink? It's a lie? Continuing, So, then

  413. the Lord said to Moses, behold, I will rain bread

  414. from heaven for you, and the people shall go out

  415. and gather a certain quarter every day that I may

  416. I told you, everything is a test that I may

  417. test them. Yeah, and I may test them whether they

  418. what is the test, whether they will walk in my

  419. law or not. And it shall be on the sixth

  420. day that they shall pro prepair what to bring in,

  421. and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

  422. And the lords spoke to Mother saying, I've heard the

  423. complaints of the children of Israel. Speak to them, say

  424. at twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning

  425. you shall be filled with bread, and you shall know

  426. that I am the Lord your God. This is the

  427. second time God is now telling them I've heard the complain.

  428. The first time he did not reference the complaint. He

  429. just said, do this for the water. He realized the

  430. second time, now he is acknowledging this is a complaint. Oh,

  431. ten minutes, all right, I'll do my best. Okay, he's acknowledged.

  432. And what he says, this is a test. What was

  433. the test. I'm going to give you meat, I'm going

  434. to give you bread. The only day you shall keep

  435. more than what you need is on the sixth day,

  436. because on the seventh day it will not come down.

  437. But you have got food for the seventh day. Notwithstanding, notwithstanding,

  438. you know this is a word that so in other words,

  439. in spite of everything that happened, you can trust these

  440. people to do exactly what they are going to do.

  441. That's what this word means. Notwithstanding, they did not heed Moses,

  442. but some of them left parts of it until morning,

  443. and it bred worms and stank. So they gathered every morning,

  444. every man according to his need. When the sun became hot,

  445. it melted. Moses is of course angry with them. Ah,

  446. the thing is this, what was this problem? Now? God

  447. said what he said, if you will take heed to

  448. what I say, they did not heed what God said.

  449. Why they didn't heat the spirit off slavery entitlement, so

  450. they kept It's telling God, I don't trust you. You

  451. gave me meat, so what is it going to come tomorrow?

  452. You know, I sat and I thought to myself, can

  453. you imagine these people if they had gratitude to the Lord.

  454. Let's just say, the bread came down and the meat

  455. came down, and they were grateful to God, and they

  456. said thank you, And they did not complain for the

  457. rest of the journey, but were thankful. Less they they

  458. marched on, I can only imagine that would have been

  459. heaven on earth for them. You want heaven on earth?

  460. You gotta heed what God says. You mean to say,

  461. is it is it easier for me to take a

  462. part that washing machine? You know how many things I

  463. have to do. I have to remove the top, I

  464. have to remove the door, I have to remove the site.

  465. I have to literally take everything apart before I can

  466. get to it. But you know what because the Lord

  467. told me I will do it just so I know, Hey,

  468. you know I can do so. After doing that, I

  469. thought to myself, oh my goodness, my previous washing machine

  470. had the same problem. You mean they say I threw

  471. a wait this washing machine and could be fixed for

  472. fifty in it? You learn? Okay? Now do we follow

  473. what God has told us to do? Do we do

  474. what God tells us to do? Remember? Everything is a

  475. tes you and I. We face tests every day. How

  476. do we respon? Actually it's very simple. You know, whatever test?

  477. If God your way, God your way, that's the best

  478. way to pass the test. What's the main takeaway? When

  479. we keep more of His blessings to us than we need?

  480. It is because we feel God will run out on us.

  481. God gives us blessings when we keep it for ourselves

  482. and we don't share it and bless it. What is

  483. it because we feel that God will run out on us?

  484. But you know that God never runs out on us.

  485. It is we who run out on him. We run

  486. out on him. It is not he who runs out,

  487. but we run out of faith. Not that not that

  488. we run out of faith. It is not that he

  489. runs out, but we run out of the faith in him,

  490. not that we run out of faith, because the Bible says,

  491. if you have faith, o a master. See, God is

  492. actually telling us it's not the amount of faith that

  493. we have. It is do we have faith? Any amount

  494. is enough to get big things done. Any amount. But

  495. you see, we run out or we run away from faith,

  496. We run away from God because we feel that God

  497. will not keep on helping us. Hey, you want God

  498. to keep on helping you. Acknowledge him every day. Acknowledge

  499. every good thing comes from Him. Be grateful and thankful

  500. for every good thing that you receive, and you will

  501. continue to receive it until today. I will never say

  502. those things that I do, like in the office, I

  503. did it. I will always say God showed me how

  504. to do it. You know why, because I want God

  505. to keep on showing me how to do things. The

  506. day I'm saying to myself, hey, my intelligence, God is done.

  507. Is the day all this will stop. Now it happened

  508. that some of the people went out and I'm coming

  509. to names, don't worry. And now it happened that some

  510. of the people went out on the seventh day together

  511. and they found nothing. Again, what is this an indication

  512. of a lack of trust in God. God said, take

  513. for what you do. So if they did not take

  514. on the sixth day, enough, and they went on on

  515. the seventy seventy, you start okay. And the Lord said

  516. to Moses, how long? And now God is beginning to

  517. get frustrated with them, How long do you refuse to

  518. keep my commandments and my lass? See? For the Lord

  519. has given you the Sabbath. Therefore he gives you on

  520. the sixth day bread for two days. Let every man

  521. remain in his place. Let no man go out of

  522. his place on the seventh day. Now, I just want

  523. to tie in. Phisians five twenty says this giving thanks

  524. always for all things to God the Father, in the

  525. name of our Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks for all things.

  526. When you talk about for all things, you give thanks

  527. for the things that you received, for the blessings that

  528. you receive. You give thanks for anything that He has

  529. blessed to it. That is the thing test. You are

  530. thanking God for all that we have been given, all

  531. that we have, all that we possess. This is being

  532. thankful for I'm thankful for my home. I'm thankful for

  533. my wife, I'm thankful for my children. I'm thankful for

  534. my little mats. I'm thankful, you know, for my crime,

  535. thankful for everything. I'm thankful for my church. I'm thankful

  536. for the service that I give in church. I'm thankful

  537. for what God reveals to me. I'm thankful for how

  538. He has. Thankful for thankful to God in everything. One

  539. Thessalonians five eight and says, in everything, give thanks for

  540. this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for

  541. you in everything. This is talking about your circumstances, be

  542. they good circumstances or bad circumstances. Always have gratitude to God.

  543. Will I be thankful to God if I am sick? No,

  544. I'm not thankful for the sickness. I'm thankful for His

  545. faithfulness to meet in that time of sickness. And in

  546. that circumstance of sickness, I'm thankful to Him because I

  547. know He will heal me. You see the difference. How

  548. can you be thankful for something that the enemy puts

  549. on you. Sickness does not come from God. So I'm

  550. thankful that in that circumstance, I'm going to see God

  551. come out strong in the circumstance. What am I thankful for?

  552. I'm thankful for what he is going to do in

  553. my life in that situation. One Tessalonians in everything, So circumstances,

  554. your circumstance, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I

  555. tell you, the last few days was quite extraordinary. On Friday,

  556. my father was not well, really not well, and I

  557. had to go to the house with the mandate whether

  558. to have him admitted in the hospital, something I do

  559. not want to do because the hospital is not a

  560. very clean place in case you don't know, for old people.

  561. All right, So I went, and when I went, we prayed.

  562. Got there he had improved sufficiently. And then after that

  563. I said, Dad, you have to sip your water, drink

  564. your mileo or your milk or whatever it is. If

  565. you cannot eat, I said, if you don't do it,

  566. I have to admit you and they have to force feeding.

  567. He started eating and drinking, all right, and in his

  568. situation change. Prayed for him. The situation changed. So I

  569. was going, now the next Saturday morning, we're going to

  570. have to have this this to go and actually decide

  571. whether to put him in or not. And my mother

  572. was also not well, laying on the bed because they

  573. bought had we know, well, right, so we've got to

  574. caregive it down there. And on Saturday morning, I get

  575. word my mother in law has been admitted to the hospital

  576. all right, And as we're dealing with that, my brother

  577. calls me to say his mother in law had a

  578. fall and taken to the same emergency war where my

  579. mother in law is, and she's pretty serious. So we

  580. had all these things happening, and it was like an

  581. an attack on our parents in the last two or

  582. three days, all at the same time. But you'll know something,

  583. God is able to turn things about, and he did.

  584. By the afternoon on Saturday, my mother in law was discharged.

  585. I understand, my father's becoming better, my mother is also recovering,

  586. and this other lady is also doing not so bad.

  587. You see, this is what I call the bad and

  588. the ugly. The ugly may not be happening to you,

  589. happening to somebody else, but it's ugly. It tends to

  590. take away from you. That's ugly. So we have to

  591. be thankful to God and be grateful to God even

  592. in this circumstance. A way to see God do this

  593. all right, and I'm gonna end very very soon, trust me.

  594. In Psalms one hundred and four, it says, enter his

  595. gates with what thanksgiving, and into his thoughts with what praise?

  596. Be thankful to him and bless his name. Guys, great gratitude, gratefulness, thankfulness.

  597. He is a must in our lives because when we

  598. have forgotten this, and maybe this is the reason why

  599. a lot of us go through the problems that we do,

  600. because we forget to thank God, we forget to be

  601. grateful to him, we forget to show him gratitude. Sam says,

  602. you come into his presence with what thanksgiving? Do you know?

  603. Does that mean that without thanksgiving you may not be

  604. in his presence? Think about it. If there's more thanksgiving,

  605. you just may not be in his presence. Worship, worship.

  606. Let this be an attitude. Let it be our attitude,

  607. because worship makes gratefulness and gratitude very easy. And what's

  608. the main takeaway. The opposite of a slave mentality is

  609. a mentality of gratitude. I say this again, the opposite

  610. of a slave mentality is the mentality of gratitude. You

  611. want to overcome that mentality of slavery in your life,

  612. Be thankful to God, have a heart full of gratitude

  613. to the Lord. I can only imagine the greatness of

  614. the people of God if they had the spirit of gratitude.

  615. So let's not be entitled, but let's be grateful.

  616. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
