We hope this message will light up your day.

I want to go right into the word of God,

and I think I'm on a mission, right on a

mission to make the people of God fall in love

with this word. I don't know how many of you

can truly say that you love God's word. Yes, be

halla if you're honest with ourself. But let's start with

a place of honesty. Let's start with saying, Okay, you

know we are Christians, right, we call ourselves Christians. But

what is it all about? Right? Is it just that

we come on a Sunday every time and then we

sing some songs, we hear some word, and then we

go away week after week, man after month, year after year,

and we go like, oh, what's it all about? Right?

And so maybe the first question that I'll ask you,

and I'll ask XTV to help me with this, if

if you were to go out right now to your

colleagues or to your family members and you ask them,

you know, what kind of people do you think I

am now, the Christians? Or what do you think they

would say? Okay, let's be honest. Let's be honest. What

kind of people are you? What do you think your

family members or your colleagues would say of you, or

would say of Christians in general? Yeah? Yeah, oh it's

too too white, right, What kind of people are you? Okay?

So when they think about Christians and I believe that

we are Christians here, even if you're not, I want

to propose to you what this whole idea of Christianity

is all about. So what do you think they would

say of you? What are some of the adjectives that

they were used to describe us? Oh? Yo? First one

is judge? Do you know what it means? That means

we are very judgmental people? Or you poach real a

real thank you for that? What else? What else? What else?

Very holy moly people? Lah, very holy moly? A lot

of holds on you? La ha okay, judgey holy o?

Yo's settler? No wonder you don't be Christian? Right? What else?

What else? Amazing? Let's move on to some positive vibes

here and move to this sia. The vibes are need

to change a little bit. Are like amazing? Amazing? All right?

Amazing people? What else? What else? What else? Would yeah? Okay? Okay?

Very open and engaging, ah, okay, like to engage people like, okay,

are you engaging? Hah? Okay? Okay, maybe only only Joe Edwards.

I think he's describe himself true, write to write all

of a sudden, I don't have his energy, la, Okay,

give me more. I'm always really think it. If you

ask someone that's close to you, what what kind of

people would they think Christians are? What do you think

they would say? Joyful? Okay, I like that this side nice, La,

I'm gonna we're to this side joyful, joyful? Have you

been joyful the last week? Okay? So I guess it's

the honest bunch, Lah that the one is like ideal ideal,

this one is reality reality. And and I think it's

important for us to know our identity because if we

don't know identity and we go around looking like the

rest of the world, true or not. I mean if

if okay, like, if the world thinks of Christians as

the judgmental one, right, the one, the holy Moly type,

I think I so don't want to become like Christian

You think about it, what is the draw? You know?

Our theme, they say is that all you know, right,

that all may know that these kind of people are judging.

Is that what our message is? I hope it's not okay.

And so let's get into the word of God. And

I want us to kind of think about it that

every time you encounter God's word, it's a word for you.

It's not just like, oh, part of the Bible, it

doesn't speak to me. And I want you to really

have a desire and a longing for God's word like

never before. Imen. And man, if you really want to

hunger for God's or because if you don't know what

God's would say about you, then that's that's what the

world would think, right. They will have all the negative

things to say about us, But we want to know

what God says. You know that the most important thing

is not what who other people say you are, is

who God say you are. Amen. Do you believe that

the most important person that has the right to speak

over your life is God himself? Because He created you

and me, He knew our purpose, right, and he knew

what we were supposed to look like. Amen. And so

whatever it is in the world that you've heard, right,

whatever negative things that you've heard, I think we need

to change. We need to start changing the way the

world views us. We gotta change the way we view ourselves,

all right, Okay, So so I'm gonna go to this book,

and I don't know how many of you when you

hear the name of this book you're like, oh, what's that? Okay?

Have you heard of this book called Chronicles? Oh? Okay?

Where is Chronicles? Old Testament or New Testament thing? Okay,

at least it got that right. Where is the where

is Chronicles located in the Old Testament? After? After what book?

After Genesis? Quite far after Genesis, after Kings? Okay? Okay?

How many of you have read Chronicles before? Honestly? Honestly? Okay, yeah,

about ten percent of you? Ten percent of you? Got

la go la? How many of you love Chronicles? Hey?

I just say right, you love God's word astraam you're saying, no, no,

I don't love Chronicles?

And do you know?

Very interestingly? Okay, So tell me those who have actually

attempted to read, now, why is it so hard to

read this book from your previous encounter? Why? Why is

this book a bit challenging for you? A lot of names, okay,

a lot of names. I'll come to the importance of that.

What else?

Oh?

Okay, I love it right Please, this is an open

book question. Okay, exam, exam, so you can open your

book and find the answers because the answers are there. Okay,

open book tests. So if you have your bibles, open

it and start exploring it. So it is after Kings.

So many people don't like the Book of chronic because

they feel that it's a repeat corc. Not it's you

just read Kings mar first and second Kings, so many

kings and names and all that. Then immediately after that

you read chronicle. Ha. Why you repeat? Have you ever

asked yourself? Why is it there? Wait? God very chong

hated chog hay means very long winded, like why you

must put that and then repeat again? Sometimes God is

long winded because we don't get it anyways. Oh anyways, no, no, no, Actually,

do you know that the order of the Jewish Bible

is very different from the order of our English Bible.

So you know that. Okay, what is the last book

of the Old Testament? Last book in our English Old Testament? Melachi?

What does Melachi end with the very last word? Oh?

Don't know what it ends with a curse? Oh? And

you check and see them too. Before Matthew, you look

at Malachi. What is the last one that you see

in your English Bible? Curse? Is that an total destructure? Okay? Curse?

Not so bad? Right? Total destruction? How about that? Can

you imagine your Bible ending with total destruction? Old Testament?

Can you imagine as a as a Hebrew right, as

a Jewish person? This is their Bible, you know? Do

you know that the Old their entire Bible is the

Old Testament. They didn't have the New Testament. So can

you imagine if their Bible was ending with a curse

or ending with total destruction? How hopeful is this religion

that we have? Hmm, for for toa for for toah.

But actually, in the Hebrew Bible, this is not the

last book, as in Malachi is not the last book.

The last book of the Hebrew Bible is Chronicles. Chronicles

is the last one? Interesting? Ready, right, so you will

have Genesis the first book, and then the end of

the Hebrew Bible is actually Chronicles, right, and so off

is it? It's okay? Like you're still all right? All

good or good? Never mind, not mind, just focus it, okay,

So never mind the fire of God will be so hot,

right that you'll burn. We forgot, We'll sa I forgot.

But so so you understand now. So when I discovered this,

I'm like, okay, so maybe we've been, you know, understanding

the word of God, not the way the Jewish people

would understand it, right, And so you know, you know

when Jesus was unpacking with his disciples, you remember the

two disciples as the road to Immaeus, right, and then

he was teaching them and bringing them through the law.

You know the law right, the first five books, the Torah,

the Prophets, you know, the Prophets, the Book of the

Prophets in the Old Testament, and then the Writings all right,

So the Chronicles ends up with the Writings, and the

writer of Chronicles was trying to paint a very different

pi cheer for the Jewish people. So I gave you

a historical context, right. So you know Genesis, God made

Adam and Eve, right, okay, so track along with me.

And then after that there is Father Abraham, right. Father

Abraham had many sons, and many sons, had sons and daughters. Yeah,

you'll know the song, right, uh. And then after that

there was Jacob. Remember Jacob. Jacob had how many sons?

Not sure? I think you'll need to go back, ex kids, Okay,

how many sons did Jacob have? Twelve? The twelve tribes? Yes,

the twelve tribes. Okay, okay, now mine not mine? Refresher,

refresher that mine's okay. So out of the twelve tribes,

they grew right, and then you know, then came Joseph.

Remember Joseph. You know the story of Joseph. And then

they were in that land. But after that there was famine, famine,

and then where did they have to go? Egyp okay,

go ahead, you're tracking with me. You go when the Egypt.

And then they grew right, They just grew and grew

and grew and multiplied. And then the king of Egypt,

the pharaoh, said, wow, these people have grown in number.

I don't like them anymore. I will make them work,

make them work very hard. And then after that, of course,

you know that there was a whole Moses, yes, Moses

uh and Moses happened and then they got they they

got out, and then God brought them to their promised land.

You remember that. Okay, so promised land. But do you

know that after king who's the greatest king in the

Old Testament? Greatest king, first king? Okay, who is the

first king? You should notice who is the first king? Yeah,

Saul is the first king. Hey, hello, we are going

through this because this is your history, you know, Okay,

this is our ancestors. Yes, all right, so so okay,

let le let's let's let's pick it up. Okay. So

there is a first king, which is King Saul, and

then after that was King King David. King David was

at the pinnacle of the Jewish history, right because he

was very prosperous. He was a man who followed after

God's on heart, right, and God made him prosper and

he was like a type of Jesus. He was a

fourth shadow of the king that was to come in

the future. Of course, David was just a man, right,

But he was a man who wrote half the Psalms.

Do you know that? More than half the Psalms? And

we love the Book of Sums because we always go

to it. It's like, oh so passionate, so real, so raw, vulnerable.

We love Psalms. Right, And David was the one who

wrote that and all of that. And then after that,

after David's sin the whole kingdom decline, decline, right, and

then there were wars. Right, So now there is a separation.

Remember just now, Jacob had twelve sons, right, so they

were twelve tribes. Now there was a division between the

northern tribes and the southern tribes. Right, the northern one

is called Israel, the southern one is called Judah. Okay,

jude I, just give you a context out of where

we're going at this. Now, what happened was after that,

like any any human being government, there was a lot

of infighting. So this is what the Book of Kings

was talking about, right, good king back, king back, king back,

king back, king back, king bad king. In the Book

of Kings, you would see that it's a lot of

bad kings. So settler, right, and then it ended okay,

and then after that the prophets came right, So you

know that they were kicked out of their land and

they were coming back. And that's why you know that

a few years ago, maybe not that many, few years

ago were we went through the Book of the hi

Maya rebuilding the walls. So this is talking about people

who were in exile coming back to the land of

Israel to rebuild it. When when King David was there,

he was the richest guy. He's like, I want to

build a temple for God. Correct, But they got allowed

David to build that temple. Why not. He had a

lot of blood on his hands. He was a royal man, right,

he killed a lot of people. So God says, no,

you will not build for me a temple, but Solomon,

your son, will build me a temple. And that was

the most glorious temple in that time of Israel. And

Israel was like, wow, this is what it means to

worship God. But you know that the temple was destructed, right,

destruction right, and and all of that happened. Now when

the people were in exile, now they're coming back. Can

you imagine after many many years of being in exile,

now they come back to their own land. They had

no clue what a king is. They were living in Babylon. Okay,

I just just follow it the history. It's very important

to know the history. They were doing business. The Jewish

people are very good at doing business. Do you know that.

Top Like, in terms of the banks in the world,

they most of it is owned by Jewish people. You

didn't know that, right, they're very brilliant, very smart, very rich. Okay,

so just anointed by God. Anointed by God anyway, So

they were brought back slowly into the land of Israel again,

right until today, there's still a land of Israel, right,

So yeah, thinking, is this history or is this a

fairy tale? The very fact that today there is a

state of Israel right now. Of course, whatever they're doing

are that's a separate thing altogether politically. But do you

know that the very fact that there is still Jewish

people here today means the God of this Bible Israel, Israel, Israel.

Wh okay, Israel and Israel. He is real. And if

you want to know what God is up to, you

just look to thee of Israel and see what God

is cooking up right there. Okay. So so now in

the old so so I was saying that they were

coming back to their own land, which God had promised

to Abraham to give to his descendants. But there was

the temple was in ruins, there was no king, there

was no worship, not at all. Right, So the writer

of Second chronic after all the prophets had said, you know, prophesies, prophesy,

there's going to be a Messiah that's going to come.

They don't know when yet. The writer of Second Chronicles

is trying to say to them, look, I am going

to rewrite the story of the kings to give you

another like because remember in Kings, all you read about

is the back kings, right, back kings, back kings, back kings,

back kings. Now in Chronicles, what the author is trying

to do is tell them, look, there are they were

good kings. There were kings that did write before the Lord. Right,

So there's three things that the writer wants to establish. Okay, So,

by the way, do you know that chronic it's actually

one book in the Hebrew Bible. It's not two. It's

not one and two. It's one book. It's called the Chronicles.

And do you know how they call the names of

the books those days? It's just the first words of

the scroll. You know how scrow is right open up

the word of the days. That was the first four

letters of the scroll, and that was the name of

the book. Any you know that in the Hebrew race

in the beginning God, that is what it's called in

the Hebrew Bible. In the beginning God for us is

genesisla right, But in the Hebrew everything starts with the

first four letters or first few letters of the scroll. Right,

So that's why the Book of Chronicles is called Word

of the Days. And yeah, so you got all that, right.

Is written to a group of Jewish people who did

not know their heritage, and us as Christians, sometimes we

don't know heritage. So I want to give your heritage

to you today. Okay, all right, okay, so let's go.

So there is one book, okay, but of course for

us we have first Chronicles, Second Chronicles, all right, and

the first Chronicles let me give you. Okay, so let's

read First Chronicles because someone say, just now, a lot

of names, and why is it there? Okay? So everyone

turned two First Chronicles, chapter one and let's just read

three verses? Is that? Okay? Are you ready? Okay? One

to go? Adam said in as cayden mahalalel jared ino

matusela lama. Okay, let's pause there. Can I say that

for nine chapters it's all names nine chapters? Why did

God put names there? And that the writer of Chronicles

wanted us to know that our heritage started from Adam?

Do you see he went there? All the way to Adam.

It didn't start from King David. He wanted to show

the people of Israel that we all came from Adam.

And so nine chapters. Okay, I don't blame you if

you skip the first nine chapters honestly, because right, it

doesn't mean anything to us. But do you know why

it's important to the Jewish people because it was painting

to them the heritage that they have of God. And

it was more importantly trying to establish Jesus' lineage. Do

you know why Matthew also has all the lineage or

the roots. So the first thing that I want to

tell you what the what we can glean from this

is that we are a rooted people. None of us

came here by accident. Okay, I don't believe that we

all have roots and our roots came from God. Right,

And if you are an then you gotta believe everything

that you read in the world of God. Right. So

we are a rooted people. So is tracing the king's

line you know, from Judah to David. So that's why

I say it from the first chronicles to chapter one

to chapter nine, it's all about the names. So next

time you think about names. Right, don't just say ah, yeah,

I don't know all these things, right, these are your ancestors.

Can I say this to you? Some people don't believe it, right,

But do you know that Jesus is Jewish? Did it

occur to your mind Jesus? Huh? I thought he's some

a more right, some white guy.

You know it?

You know how the picture is right, blonde hair, blue eye, Jesus,

wrong picture. I believe Jesus looked maybe more like a

decent kind of look, kind of look, kind of look.

And that's why you play Jesus. Right. Jesus is Jewish.

You know, Jesus is Jewish, He was Jewish, he is Jewish.

And when we meet him again, he's gonna be Jewish.

And that means right. And if we call ourselves sons

and daughters of the Most High God, adopted into this famine,

that means you've got Jewish blood, you have a Jewish heritage.

Never knew, right, And that's why it's important for us

to know where we come from. So people might say, oh,

it's a very Western belief system that you have. No. No, no,

this is actually a very Eastern culture, right. It is

Jesus is Jewish and that is our roots. Okay, so

that's number one the first hour I'll give you. Now

we need to know that we have roots. The second

thing that we need to know is this, we are

of royal blood. Can you turn to your neighbor and

say your royalty? Some of you like, no way, where's

my red carpet, where's my blue blood? You'll cut me

in and blue blood come out of royal blood? No

such thing. Right, we live as though we don't know

that we are royalty. That's that's the thing. Right, We

live as Christians as though we are just like any

other person. But do you know that the reason why

we can lift our heads with dignity is because of

our lineage in Christ? Jesus, Amen? How do royalties live?

You think about it? They live right with authority, They

live knowing who they are, right, and they live knowing

who their father is. I think that's more importantly. Do

you know that you do? You know what what privileges

that you have as royal blood royalty? And that's why

when you read the Book of Kings, right, and so

the writer of Prodigus is trying to tell the Jewish people, Hey, guys,

don't forget that you are of royal descent, royalty. You're

not just any other person on earth. You are royalty.

And do you know where it's picked up again? In

the New You think this is all testemony in your time?

Let me give you that in First Peter, chapter two,

verse nine. All right, I'm gonna read this to you,

and this is what Peter is saying to the church.

He says, but you are a chosen okayy, can you

help me with this? One Peter two nine, First Peter

two nine, All right, I think we should declare this together.

First Peter, chapter two, verse nine. Okay, all right, so

let's read this together one two three. But you are

a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, his

own special people that you may proclaim the praises of

Him who called you out of darkness into his marveless life.

Let's go on to verse ten. Who were once who

once were not a people, but now are people of

God who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. Amen. Amen,

you are a royal priesthood. Well, there's two callings there,

you know. First is royalty and then there's priesthood. Which

I'm gonna go into the next point, which is so

The first one is that you are a rooted person, right,

you're rooted people. So if people are asking you're Christians

and what kind of people are you? Yeah, we know

that we came from God himself. That's our roots. Second

one is that you are royalty, so royal people. Behave

like royalty la huh when we go out. Don't be afraid,

don't shrink back, lift up your hates high, you know,

be be full of grace, just as Jesus is full

of grace. Right, that's what royalty is. Right, there is

a sense of pride in who you are. Don't hire

yourselthing like no Chian. What do you do on some day?

I don't know. Why are you afraid? Why are you

afraid of your lineage, your identity? You gotta be loud

and proud, Okay, singing loud, singing proud, Okay, don't just

sing it on Sundays, singing it from Mondays to Saturdays.

Let the whole world know this is who you are,

right of royal blood. We are royal people in God. Amen.

Now the third third point, which is very important for

us to remember that God has called us to be religious. Now, okay,

I'm probably going into deeper waters and this is probably

where some people will say, ah, yeah, this is the

holy Moly part, right, holy movie judge part of it.

But let me just paint to you a picture of us. Right.

The most important thing that God wanted you and I

to know that we were created by Him. We were chosen.

Racis your chosen generation. You were chosen by God and

set apart. Do you know what set the part is?

It means you are not like everyone else? You are special.

That's all your special people are, right, set apart for

what to be like everyone else? Know, you were set

apart to worship him. You were set apart to worship him.

That's what holiness means. You know that if I have

a glass here right now, okay, and then I feel

it with rain water right and full of acid and

full of gas, I don't know, and I give it

to you, would you drink it? Yeah? Yeah? Also people say, yes,

it's only rain water? What right? How about pea water?

So you're like, m okay, right, but you see what

we contain is filth human beings because of sin. Right,

That's why I love the Bible well, because it tells

me my whole history, from beginning to end, from Genesis

to Revelation, it was the same story. The story is

we were once made by God, pure and blameless, now

tainted by sin. Right, so now we are blemished, broken people.

And God says, I don't want you to stay this way.

And that's why, right, we don't say that I'm a Christian.

Just let me be as I am. God will accept

you as you are, but he loves you too much

to let you remain the same. Amen. And some people say, oh, yore,

but you know, but I thought God just loves me, right,

But he loves you so much that he wants you

to change. Our ultimate goal is to be like Christ,

to be like Jesus. And Jesus didn't remain well. Jesus

is perfect from beginning to end law, but we are not.

And so we are being transferred to become more and

more like Jesus. Right, And so we are set apart.

God is not washing us from the inside out so

that when our vessel, the cup can contain holy water.

Holiness is what God is after. And with this holy water,

now you can bring it to others and to bring

nourishment to others. You see that? Can you see that

there's a whole purpose of life and the part of it, right,

is that we were made to worship. If you don't

worship the one True and Living God, you will worship

your job. If you don't worship the one true and

Living God, you will worship your spouse. All your children

are your parents. Do you know that it's very easy

to have idols in our life. Very easy we can

say God and then in the next moment we forget

about God and think about everything else that matters in

this life. Right, So so as people very easy to shift,

you know. And and so that that's a reason why

there's a temple, that's a reason why the church exists.

To remind you that you are religious people, and religious

people worship God. It's not about imposing dos and don't

if you think that it's religion. That is not what

God is after. He is after people you and I

people of God who will say I worship you God,

and I will do everything that pleases you. That is

what worship is there, It's what true religion is.

Right.

Too often we mingle it with a lot of legalism. Right, Oh,

you must do this, and you might think that church

is legalism in that sense. Right, there's a lot of rules.

Cannot do this. Now we're hot, right, it's okay, I'm

also like super hot now, but it's okay, okay to

tell your neighbor you're you're okay, you're cool, You're cool.

Right.

But you see, we get very caught up into thinking

of all the rules and say, yeah, I don't want this.

I want to live my own life. So basically you're

saying God, I I don't worship you. I worship me.

I am God because I dictate right, what is right

and wrong, what I like and what I don't like.

So that is the dangerous part. And God knows that

if we continue like that, we will turn far away

from him. Okay, So what is the three rs that

we learn? First one is that we are rooted people,

we are royal people. And the third one is we

are religious, religious in the sense that we are made

to worship God. Amen. Okay, So now I want to

take an example of a good king, all right, and

see what we can learn from this story of chronicles.

All right, Okay, so let's go to second chronicles now.

So now the second part of Chronicles. Second Chronicles in

our English Bible talks about the kings, all right, the

good kings. And so let's go to Second Chronicles. And

I want to give you an example of a good king.

His name is Jehosha Fad. Okay. So let's go to

Second Chronicles, chapter seventeen. Let's read from verses one to thirteen,

and we will see his beginning and his life. Okay.

So First Chronicles chapter Second Chronicles, chapter seventeen. Okay, Now,

the first thirteen chapters give you a background. Okay, give

you a background. What was different about this king? Okay?

Says Then Jehosha Phad his son reigned his Okay, his

father was Asa king Asa, all right. So that's what

you can read in chapter sixteen, but we won't go

to that. So then Jehosha pad his son reigned in

his place and strengthened himself against Israel. Remember south and North. Now,

the whole Chronicles is focused just on the kings in Judah,

the southern part because they still continue in the ways

of the Lot. The northern part of the ten tribes

in Israel have turned away from God. So they were

the bad kings there all right. So in verse two,

it says, and he plays troops in all the forty

five cities of Judah and sat garrisons in the land

of Judah, and in the cities of Ephra, which Asa

his father had taken Firse Street. Now the Lord was

with Jehoshahaed, how many of you want to be with

the Lord?

To be with you?

Amen? Do you want God to be with you? Yes? Okay,

let's see what is the secret? Now the Lord was

with jehoshahphah because he walked in the formal ways of

his father David. He did not seek the baws the

false gods, but sought the God of his father and

walk in his commandments, and not according to the acts

of Israel. Therefore the Lord established the kingdom in his hand,

and all Judah gave presents to Jehoshah fhah, and he

had riches an honor in abundance. So far, so good?

Right?

Can you learn something already from Jehoshah fhih? Ask yourself?

Am I seeking God in all my life? Do I

walk according to His commandments? Something for us to think about.

And verse six it goes on to say, and his

heart took delight in the ways of the Lord. Moreover,

he removed the high places and wooden images from Judah.

Are there any images or idols in our hearts that

we need to remove? Something for us to think about, yeah,

Verse seven. Also in the third year of his reign,

he sent his leaders ben haiel Obadiah, Zacharyan, Nathaniel, and

Makaiah to teach in the cities of Judah. Okay. And

then verse eight, he sent all these leaders the Levites

as well, verse nine. So they taught in Judah and

had the Book of the Law of the Lord with them.

They went throughout all the cities of Judah and taught

the people. Imen. You see what the king did. He

actually firstly removed all the idols, and then secondly he

sent out the leaders, the Levites and all the priests

to teach the word of the God, the Word of

the Lord. This is called the Book of the Law.

Right.

And what happened was when people don't know the Book

of the Law, they turn away. And so that's why

it's important for us to really know God's for ourselves. Right.

Can I just encourage your church. I think this is

a season for us to be equipped to be anchored

to know God's worth for our own. Don't just say

you know doctor Daniel knows because he's got PhD. Or

the pastor only knows because they study. But you do

you know that you all have the word of God

in your hands, yes or not? That means the gift

has been given to you. How are you using the

gift the word of God? It's up to you how

much you desired? Do you know you can spend three

hours on TikTok and it doesn't change your life? Does it?

Does it change your life? It makes you feel worse

like maybe I don't know? That's us. My usual encounter

with social media is after I I scroll and I

read it and I feel like, come, my life not

so exciting? Want I come? They all do all these

things right, but you see the things right, But we's

so addictive that we spend so much time trying to

figure out what people are doing with their lives and

it doesn't change our life one bit. But do you

know that three minutes in God's word give yourself that chance.

God's word is living and powerful. It will change your life.

So what would you choose? People of God? Would you choose?

How you see people say I don't have time, right,

I will correct it. I would say you have the

wrong priorities. It's not that you don't have time. I

learned this truth recently. Someone you know, young working that

has come up to me. And I was in Bloom,

Singapore recently, and so some of the ladies came out

to But how do you make timer? You know you

you you're working, then you're a mom, then your wife,

then you still a ministry, and then you're doing counseling?

How do you fit all of this thing right? And

the wisdom of God just came upon me and he says,

you know, all of us got twenty four hours? Yes,

and you won't got extra, not twenty four hours, I

don't have lo Okay, all normal, right, twenty four hours.

Whether you're king, whether you are Elone, mask or whoever

you are, the president of the United States, you all

have twenty four hours. And then the wizard of God

came upon me and says, God says that in that

twenty four hours I give you, it's enough to do

everything that I want you to do. It's enough. We

always say not enough, ma, not enough time to do this,

not enough. So but the question is are you doing

whatever it is that God wants you to do. He

gave you enough. He gave you enough for you to

do what he wants you to do in your day,

and at the end of your twenty four hours, you

would say, God, I did everything that you wanted me

to do, and it's enough. Actually, there's enough time. There's

enough time to do everything that God wants you to do.

Most of the time, our time just leak away, right,

it just leaks away. And this is how the devil

still kill and destroy our lives without knowing it. Do

you know that time is our most precious commodity, not

even money. I know money is important, but money you

can gain back. You know, time, once it's gone is gone.

Yesterday gone gone? No, then the last from two to

three pm is gone. Miss it's gone. You cannot redeem

it anymore. So my challenge to you is how are

you using your time? Are you using it to edify yourself?

Are you using it to anchor your experiment? Are you

using it to disciple other people? Come on, if you

use your time for all these things right, you will

feel like all my life is really purposeful. It's not

meaningless anymore. You have no time to feel sorry for yourself.

But that's the thing, right, you have so much time

to think about ourselves and feel sorry for ourselves and everything.

You don't have enough every thing other people. And then

then we go down the spiral. Come on, come on, church,

we really don't have time. Time is very sure. Jesus

is coming back. If you don't know, can I tell

you Jesus is coming back. With everything that you see

right now in the world, right, wars, rumors of wars, earthquake, flooding,

Is there going to be another COVID twenty one? I

don't know, diseases will break. Hello. Everything that you think

that it's very fine in the future has happened. It's

happening right, and and the time is just really so

quick loud, so so I want I want to have

a sense of urgency. Amen, let us really you know. Okay,

maybe I don't know whether she shared this, but one

of our elders this morning she shared with me this.

She said she had a dream, right, she shared a

dream recently, and she felt that there was a tunnel,

you know, a tunnel, a tunnel of light, and then

she she fell into this tunnel. Right, you know how

you you know in some way laguna is that right

that you go down and then you just hold onto it,

and you know sometimes like oh, if you let go,

you're gone, right. And as she was going down that tunnel, right,

she just felt like I cannot control anything. I'm just

going down. And she said, at that point of time,

she said, I wasn't thinking about my family, or my dogs,

or my job. I was just only thinking Jesus, would

you accept me? Jesus, would you receive me? That was

all that because she knew that was the end, that

was the end of her life. So she said, oh

that she could think of Jesus, by your grace and

your mercies, accept me, right, And and she's like, oh

my gosh, it's so scary, you know, scary in the

sense that we don't know how much time we have left.

I don't know if I'm gonna be here tomorrow. Honestly,

I don't know if I'm gonna be here tomorrow. It's

only by God's grace that we will have another day, right. So,

so I mean that also kind of woke me up, like,

oh my gosh, what am I doing my time? Right?

What am I doing? Am I telling them the best

message that anyone could hear, and the best message is Jesus.

Are we telling others about Jesus? Or are we gonna

just continue living our life as door we have another

forty years? Wake up call, wake up call. Imen. And

so this was the kings who knew their God right.

And what I love about this right? You see in

verse ninety says and they taught in Judah and had

the book of the Law of the Lord with them,

and they went throughout all the cities of Judah and

taught the people correct. So now on a Sunday you

are here. You're being taught the word of God. Immen.

Now this is what got me excited. In verse ten, okay,

let's read this verse ten okay, And the fear of

the Lord fell on all the kingdoms of the lands

that were around Judah, so that they did not make

war against Jehoshah Fah. Can you see that was the

word of God being preached to other people. No right,

it was taught to the people of Judah. But what

happened is when we preach God's word here to the

people of God. What happened fear of the Lord, fear

of the Lord fell on all the surrounding nations. Can

you see that that every time you come and there's

the word of God being preached, we are declaring to

the spiritual atmosphere that Jesus is real. How are we

going to reach our seventy percent cousins that's out there,

that's outside these walls? Right? And I believe that as

we continue to worship, as we continue to intercede, the

fear of God will come upon those around us, the

fear of God, the fear of God. Do you know

that it's only the fear of God that will bring

them one step closer to Jesus. It's the fear of God.

It's nothing else. It's the fear of God. And so

ask yourself, actually, do you fear God? Do you fear God?

Sometimes I feel the church has lost the fear of God.

It's really ourch that we as a church. How did

we come in today without attitude towards God? Did we

come here excited? Do we come here ready and prepared?

Or do we come you're like, oh, okay, it's just

one of those things, another thing, and let me just

get through it so that I can go on with

my day. Dude, do you actually know who you came

to meet with, the King of kings, Lord of lords?

And I always pray God, would you bring back the

fear of God in the church. Do you know that

if there's no fear of God in the church, then

you don't expect the fear of God outside of church.

We always talk about we live in such a god society, right,

godless people don't care, they do anything they want. You know,

it's not all about how I feel. I feel like this,

I feel like that, and therefore is right. We live

in a very feely society. Now right, there's no right

or wrong. As long as I feel it's right, it's right. Right.

People have become their own gods. We live in a

godless society. And yet, if there is no fear of

God in the church, how do we expect that there

will be fear of God outside of church? Come on,

if we are supposed to be the one that establishes

worship here in our own lives and we don't get

that right, then don't expect society to be transformed around us.

The transformation begins with us here. Amen, we need to

be transferred to say God, you know, would you establish

me as the church. Do you know that you are

the church in your office, you are the church in

your neighborhood, you are the church in your family. You

are the church. And so if you don't get our

lives right, then you know, it's very hard to expect

the whole word to be changed except us. Change starts

with us, right, It's going to begin with us. And

so that's what jehoshah fe wanted to do. He wanted

the fear of God to come upon the people of

God first, So he taught them the word. And I

love it that the fear of God fell on all

the kingdoms after that, right, and so then he became

very powerful. He became rich as well, he had much property.

You can read it later on. Okay, so now this

is the kind of Christian life you want, right, that

we have established God's word in our lives, you know,

and that we bring people around us, we teach them

the word of God, and we become successful in God.

All right? But do you know that as Christians, as

people of God, that there will be challenges as well?

Can I tell you? First? So if you think that, yeah,

you know, you asked me to become Christian, and you

paint the to me all the good stuff, right, all

the blessings. Then how come my life's so difficult? How

do we reconcile this? How do we reconcile saying that

we are a blessed people of God? You know, we

are highly favorite, we are royalty, right, we are a

holy priest. So and dinner, our lives so difficult? There

are challenges, And can I tell you that the challenges

came as well to King Jehosha. Fast Let's go to

Second Chronicles chapter twenty. It was Jehosha but doing a

good thing and all he was doing good. He was

doing good, and maybe in today's age would be like, hey,

we're doing our quiet time. You know, we give our

thighs regularly, we go for a mission trip, all this

markers of a good Christian right, markers, markers. And then

we're like, hey, I'm serving here, I'm serving there, you know.

But then this is what happened. Let's go to Second Chronicles,

chapter twenty, verse one. Now it happened after this that

the people of more So, Now this is the army

the enemies around them. Okay, the people of Moap with

the people of Ammon and other group and others with

them were so enemies like to gang up on you,

and not one, not two, but trees and others with them.

Besides the Emmon knights came to battle against Jehosha Fat.

Do you have enemies in your life? Welcome to the club.

You're not alone. Okay, Now let's see what we can

learn from this verse two. Then some came and told

Jehosha Fad, saying, a great multitude is coming against you

from beyond the sea, from Syria, and they are in

Hazazan Tamar, which is in Ngadi. Do you know that

sometimes we have a lot of friends coming to us

and tell us stuff that you know, this kind of

friend zone. Anyways, what do we do when we hear

this kind of news? Okay, let's see Jehoshavat is a manner,

and let's see what he says. What he says in

verse three, and you hold your foot fear and set himself? Okay, Now,

fear is one thing. Do you have fears in your

life when you receive bad news? Can I tell you

that it's a natural reaction and that you're normal? You

are normal? Okay, I want to normalize this fear thing

and say that you are not alone. Right, you're not crazy. Okay.

It is normal to have fears come upon us because

of bad news that we hear. But what's important is

not to stay in fear. It could be your first reaction.

Let it not be your final reaction. You cannot stay there, Okay,

just recognize that. Okay, there's fear. What do you do? Friends?

What do you do when you fear? What is your

first thing to do when you fear? You pray? Amen,

she's got the right formula. Okay, follow her, follow after Elaine. Okay,

do you pray when you first hear bad news? No,

it's okay. Can I encourage you that that's a better

way to be? Can I encourage you? I'm telling myself

as well, like, Okay, suddenly there's bad news, that there's

always bad news on? Ah? Are your people la this

one la that one? Lah, conflict here, la, unhappiness here, la,

gossip here, la complaining? They're like, ah, go to your

toilet cubicle, build an alter there and pray. Seriously, really, really,

don't I'm serious? If there is no proper place for

you to just build an altar, right, you can just

sit at your desk and build an altar there? Can

I tell you that? Do you know that your altar

doesn't have to be just here in church? You are

the temple of the Holy Spirit. Remember, God has caught

you to be the temple, and therefore you can build

that all or wherever you are. You can go to

the hospital and build an altar there and interceed for

the sick person. Do you know how powerful we are? No? God,

God has given us so much, we just didn't learn

how to tap into it. So I want to teach

us how to tap into what God has given us.

You don't have to ask, you know, wait for the

elders or the pastors to come. You can set the

altar right and pray. So this is what Jehoshah did.

He feared and set himself to seek the Lord Wow,

and he proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah, how many

of you have been fasting? Not really right? Our last

first was twenty one days. You turn in March, and

I think there is a place and a season for fasting. Right.

Jesus says when you fast, do this, and that he

didn't say if you fast, So I think Jesus was

expecting us to kind of fast. You know, as part

of our spiritual discipline, prayer and fast goes together. And

you learned already in homes. If you were in homes,

that fasting just says God, I'm not gonna depend on

my body. I'm going to depend on you. Right, every

time the hunger pang strikes, I'm gonna say, Okay, I

remember you, Jesus, I remember what I'm fasting for. So

this is what Jehoshah fad did, right. So he he

thought the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast throughout the earth,

the whole of Judah. All right, so let's continue reading verse.

For so Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord.

Who do we ask help from church? If we are

called people of God, then the most natural thing is

to ask help from God to often me, turn to

our life, turn to our right, ask for this favor,

ask for that favor. You know, we'll we try and

crack with all our own connections. But do you know

that we have the highest connection. Amen. His name is Jesus,

and he's at the right hand of the Father. Guess

what interceding for you and for me? Do you know?

Do you know Jesus is not up there like pa

Bang you know, do you know what that is? How

can people? That means you're you're lifting up your legs

and then like sorting away mosquitoes. No, no, Jesus is

not there. Jesus is busy on his knees interceding for

you and I to stand strong in our faith, tutor very.

And you know that when you don't pray for yourself,

nobody prays for you. Jesus is praying for you. Wow.

When I learned that truth, I'm like, Wow, even when

I don't pray for my Jesus, you're interceding for all

of us. That's the kind of God that we serve. Imen.

So they ask help from the Lord, and from all

the cities of Judah. They came to seek the law.

How good is this? Uh? And that's why I love

whenever we issue a rally, we say come together for pray,

right pray rally. Four times a year we come together

and it's amazing to see people from all the church

plants come to seek the Lord together. There's the power

in corporate prayer. Okay, I don't know how has it

been in the thirteen thirty, but do you know there's

something about yes praying on your own. But there's something

powerfully about gathering of people of God to seek Him together,

and that pleases the Lord. Okay, so please go for

your breath service. Okay, I encourage the church. Denty nine

is the next one, right, so so make time, make time, really, really,

there is power in seeking the lot together in man now.

Verse five. Then Jehoshaffat stood in the assembly of Judah

and Jerusalem in the House of the Lord, before the

new Court, and said, and this is what he said

to God, Oh Lord, God of our fathers, Are you

not God in heaven? And do you not rule over

all the kingdoms of the nations? And in your hand

is there not power and might so that no one

is able to withstand you? Are you not our God

who drove out the inhabitants of this land before your

people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham,

your friend forever, and they dwell in it and have

built your sanctuary in it for your name, saying, if

disaster comes upon us, so judgment, pestilence, or famine. I

don't know which one you're going through. But somewhere there

we will stand before this temple and in your presence,

for your name is in this temple, and cry out

to you in our affliction and you will hear and

say Amen, Amen. What do you sends from this prayer

of Jehoshah Fi? What do you what can you gather

from this? From this prayer? There's so much confidence? I

love it. Are you confident in your God? Church? Are

you confident in your God? Sometimes we come to Godland

not sure like your God. I don't know whether you

want to help me. You're not. I don't know whether

you can or not. Do you know that we put

limitations on God? You see, there's this one quote that

I love now it's been ringing in my mind. He says,

if you fight for your limitations, you get to keep it.

If you fight for your limitations and you say I cannot,

I cannot do God cannot do this for me, it

means that limitations is real for you because you fight

so hot, Ma, you fight so hard to keep this limitation.

I cannot. I dare not serve. I don't like kids

you keep. You know, you put limitations on yourself. And

that's as much as you will be as a person,

that's as much as you will grow. You're like because

you already say cannot law. If you say cannot cannot law,

do you know that your power, your words can limit

God's power? Or you am I blessed for me? Is

now I thought? God's very powerful? Right? But do you

know why Jesus could not perform many miracles in his

hometown because the people didn't believe he could do it.

It is our belief or unbelief that dictates how much

God can move. Wow, you think about how powerful you

are now. God has all the power in the world,

all the power in the world. And if we act

by faith, God says it shall be done. If you

have faith, as small lesser muster, see, you can say

to these mountains be removed, and it shall be removed.

Most of us act on facts. Cannot I'm limited, no resources,

no time, and so we act by facts. And Jesus did.

Jesus always say if you act by facts, you can

remove the mountains. So, children of God, are you people

of faith or are you people of facts? Think about it.

Are you of people of faith or are you people

of flesh? Because flesh says cannot impossible. But people of

faith sees beyond the fact, sees beyond the flesh and says,

my God can And that's why I love what you said.

It's confidence. It's confidence in not yourself, but it's confidence

in the God that we serve. Right, he's saying, I

love the profession. So sometimes if you don't know what

to prey, can you just pray this prayer? Just say

it out? Lord? Are you not God of our fathers?

Are you not God in heaven and rule over the

kingdoms of the nations. Can you tell yourself that? Can

you tell your limited mind that God is above everything?

And then he can do it just like that. Amen.

This is how we we anchor our faith, and that's

how we push our faith through. Amen. And then he

says all those things right, you can read, read, read,

read on and then it says this right in verse thirteen. Now,

all Judah, with their little ones and their wife, can

I encourage parents that you lead your children in building

this author and their children stood before the Lord. Right

as a church, we believe in families coming together, worshiping

together as a family before the Lord. Then the spirit

of the Lord came upon Jehazel, and he said this

in verse fifteen. Listen, all of you Judah, and you

inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you King Jehoshaphat, that says the

Lord to you Subanjaya thirteen thirty. Do not be afraid

nor dismayed because of this great multitude. For the battle

is not yours, but God's. Many times we sing the

song right, the battle is not yours? Where is it

coming from? Here? In chronicles? And he says, tomorrow go

down against them? And you know many times? Right? You know,

I feel there's so many things that we can learn

from this, so many things we can learn from this. Right.

Firstly is Jehoshavat. He's the one who sought after God right,

and when he heard the bad news. I don't know

what bad news you've heard this week or you've been

hearing for the last couple of months. They might be

fear within us. But seek the Lord, Seek the Lord

and pray, right, Elz says, pray, So follow after that,

pray and ask God, and you declare to him who

he is. Do you know? God loves it when we

declare who he is and when we acknowledge that He

is God and that we are not. And God is waiting.

Can I tell you church that God is waiting for

his children to come to him. Many of us are

too busy doing our own thing, trying to resolve our

own challenges and issues, and God is like, hey, hello, hello,

I'm here. I'm just waiting to help you. How come

you never come to him? Come to me? And you

know God, God will not intervene unless you ask him.

Sometimes he does it by his grace and his goodness

and his mercy. But many times we miss the chance

to see God move supernaturally in our lives because we

are so based by our facts limitation. I cannot, I cannot,

I cannot. Can you change your I cannot do God? Can? God? Can? God? Can? Amen?

Change from this? One cannot that. One cannot to say

my God can? My God says I can. God says can.

And when it says when God says yes, it's an amen,

yes and amen. That's why as a church we want

you to say yes and amen. If you believe whatever

you read right, you know what you're doing, and you're

you're stirring up your own faith. Many times we just

keep mom right. And and that's why I'm telling myself,

if I have a voice and there's something that can

come out, I will say yes. And Amen, appreciate it right.

You know you you're you're you're strengthening yoursel spirit men.

When you do that, why we ask you to lift

up your hands. You are practicing what you're going to

be doing in heaven. You know.
