  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. All right, let's turn now to Genesis twenty two, and

  4. we're gonna read some verses there. We're gonna talk about,

  5. you know, how blessed it is to be a generous person,

  6. to be a generous church. But I want us to

  7. turn to God's word, prepare our hearts for the days

  8. to come, even for the anniversary giving. And let's turn

  9. to Genesis twenty two and read the precious word of God,

  10. and let the word of God speak to us today.

  11. Genesis twenty two. Everybody, now, Genesis twenty two is a

  12. very popular chapter in XS church because we use Genesis

  13. twenty two, verse five to talk about worship. It was

  14. the first time worship was ever mentioned in the Bible.

  15. And if you are a student of the Bible, you

  16. will know that the law law of first mention is

  17. very important, meaning to say that if you want to

  18. study a word in the Bible, you gotta study from

  19. where it first was mentioned. And so worship was first

  20. mentioned in Genesis twenty two, verse five. And it had

  21. nothing to do with music. He had nothing to do

  22. with lyrics. They had nothing to do with sound or lines.

  23. Worship had everything to do with God wanting Abraham to

  24. give his only son Isaac, meaning that worship is always

  25. about giving our best to God. That he doesn't just

  26. mean singing, It means surrendering and submitting to God.

  27. Can I hear good? Amen? Worship is from the heart,

  28. not just from your wallet.

  29. It is from your life, not just from things that

  30. you could materially offer to the Lord. The Lord is

  31. more interested in your heart that he is in your money.

  32. Do you believe that? Now?

  33. When I came in this style, Sister Erin, you know,

  34. she was trying to put the envelope into her pocket,

  35. and she and May was trying to like it cannot

  36. cannot fit, No, cannot fit. And then I think he

  37. tried to fold it. You know, I think they trying

  38. to prepare that for next Sunday. So they folded it

  39. very big on this envelope, and Sister Erin said, oh,

  40. I think what's more important is what's inside. And then

  41. I say, what's more important is what's inside our hearts.

  42. Once is our hearts, It's even more important than what's

  43. inside this envelope. Okay, So let me put up the

  44. slide for for the first Uh. Well, okay, fine, you

  45. can put up the scripture and let's read it together.

  46. Let's read the word of God.

  47. Are you ready?

  48. The Bible says, now we came to pass after these

  49. things that God tested Abraham.

  50. Somebody is start, yeah.

  51. And said to him Abraham, and he said, here I am.

  52. Then he said, take now your son, your only son,

  53. whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah

  54. and offer him there as a burn offering on one

  55. of the mountains of which I shall tell you. So

  56. Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey.

  57. You know, I wonder why he woke up early. You know,

  58. in my mind, I'm thinking about a few reasons. One

  59. it could be that, you know, when you are faced

  60. with such a dilemma, I think you can't even sleep.

  61. Don't talk about wake up early.

  62. How many of you have had a dilemma in your life,

  63. tough situation, a challenge so.

  64. Challenging that you can't even sleep.

  65. Maybe you have like exam, yeah on Monday, and exam

  66. is tough, and you wake up early. But maybe you

  67. did even sleep. There's one possible reason why he woke

  68. up early. Second reason is a little bit chicky. Maybe

  69. he didn't tell his wife, because I don't know how

  70. you can tell your wife that you're about to give

  71. up your son.

  72. And she gave birtha at ninety This is not easy.

  73. You know, some of you in this room, you've worked

  74. hard for something, very hard to give up. And there's

  75. only one time I didn't tell my wife about something.

  76. But the only one time I confessed to you right now.

  77. I went and got a dog, a golden retriever. Has

  78. been always my desire to have a dog, all right.

  79. When I went to this place where they were breeding

  80. golden retrievers, this guy brought it, brought one out to me.

  81. I only found out later that this one was a

  82. sick dog. All the best of his litter or his

  83. pup pups was all beautiful, extra beautiful. But anyway, this

  84. was the only one he brought out. Didn't let me

  85. go into the kennel to see the rest. You know,

  86. later on he confessed. So that's why I know. Later on,

  87. when I was talking about Spring, my dog, my god

  88. in retriever, he actually came out and confessed. Past, Actually,

  89. I gave you a sick dog, and I want to

  90. confess because I'm hearing you speak in church, and I'm

  91. convicted that I did not give the servant of God

  92. the best. Uh would you please take another beautiful golden

  93. retriever pup from me? And I said Spring might be sick,

  94. but she's mine. You know, I know how that sentence

  95. came out. Also, that was one of the best centers

  96. I've ever seen in my life.

  97. And she was sick actually, you know when I got her.

  98. She was on Ampti biotics for the next two years

  99. because of a blood problem, right, and she died at

  100. travel half.

  101. And I never cried so much before maybe.

  102. Just the other time I cried was next to my

  103. sister's bid when she passed away, before she turned to

  104. any one.

  105. I think I cried more then.

  106. But after that, I never cried so much until Spring, uh,

  107. you know, passed on.

  108. But uh what what what? What was I going to

  109. say to you? Yeah? So I went. I got Spring

  110. in my hand, put her in my car.

  111. Don't know when to put her because I didn't bring

  112. any create any cage, any nothing, no, no, no lesh.

  113. Just put her at the front of my car and

  114. she beat at the front of my car. Good thing,

  115. not on my my seat, but not on the rubber man.

  116. And you know when their baby, when the eight weeks old,

  117. their pido smell very bad, just like water, you know.

  118. And so I brought her back. I put her into

  119. a box, uh and uh brought her in the house

  120. and my wife came home. And my wife, you know,

  121. hurt a little bit of a yelping kind of callie about.

  122. So what's that? And I was not around. I was

  123. upstairs praying.

  124. And guess what, you know, year's later, my wife just

  125. fell deeply in love with Spring and it became like

  126. her dog, you know.

  127. Uh.

  128. And you know with all these breeds that are a

  129. little bit special breeds, right, you can't offer them any

  130. kind of food. You have to only feed the dog.

  131. They are kind of food, very expressive, like to keep

  132. a good dog. But my wife will always feed ice

  133. cream by the under the table because she just really

  134. so young this dog. So that was the only time.

  135. But I can tell you, Abraham, you're not talking about

  136. dog now, You're talking about your only son, the son

  137. of your own age.

  138. Only one. You cannot get another.

  139. One idea after this, and God says, I want this,

  140. I want your best. How to tell your wife. I

  141. don't know, so I don't know that. I don't know

  142. the story. When I get to heaven, I'll say, Abraham,

  143. can you tell me or not? I used to preaching

  144. shar that maybe you didn't tell your wife. And then

  145. hopefully Abraham will said no, of course I told her.

  146. I'm a man of God. Of course I told her.

  147. Or would he say, hey, how you know her? I'll say, Abraham,

  148. I knew it by revelation. So he woke up a

  149. ready early, a little bit can chung, a little bit excited,

  150. a little bit scared.

  151. I'm not sure.

  152. Benny's a little bit lost a lot. And he takes

  153. his son son.

  154. Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, and said, oh, yeah.

  155. Dad, Remember I told you that I'm gonna thank you

  156. for outing.

  157. Remember, yeah, you're dead. I'm so excited. Okay, let's go.

  158. How about mom?

  159. Mom still sleeping? You see her later? And uh. He

  160. goes with the dad, and the dad brings two servants

  161. with him, and first three says, Abraham rose early, yep,

  162. and uh he split the wood. Yep, he got a wood.

  163. He got a wood. Some hours will give to God, right,

  164. we give to God. But sometimes we just bring the wood,

  165. and maybe the knife, maybe the fire. But I want

  166. to just make sure you understand the power of giving

  167. is found. And those of you who may not have

  168. met me before, because your first time to church, I

  169. need to.

  170. Tell you the background.

  171. The background is I have lived by faith for thirty

  172. years now means thirty years no salary. So when I

  173. talk to you about faith, I think I know a

  174. libya about what I'm talking about. And I think I

  175. know a libya about how to please God's heart. And

  176. when you see my size, you know that God has

  177. been taking care of me. Amen, Praise God. You see

  178. the car I drive outside, or you see the house

  179. I live in, you know that God has been good

  180. to Kenneth and his wife. But there's a secret in

  181. falling the Lord. There's a secret in pleasing God. And

  182. God cannot be pleased without faith. Can I hear good?

  183. Amen? So just a little bit.

  184. I mean I don't know a lot, but I know

  185. a little bit about how to open up the treasures

  186. of heaven. I know a little bit about how to

  187. make sure there is open heaven over your life, so

  188. that whatever you do, even though you don't get a

  189. salary on the monthly basis. God provides. God provides, and

  190. he's always into testing our hearts so that we can

  191. walk into his blessing, so that we can come into

  192. the so.

  193. Much more of God. God is a god of so

  194. much more? Do you believe it?

  195. He's got so much more? You think the last time

  196. he gave you one hundred thousand, that's a lot. No,

  197. there was peanuts for him. You did the last time

  198. he gave you a house, that was a lot for him.

  199. Not there.

  200. He snapped his finger, he gave you the house. He

  201. snapped his finger, and he gave you good health. Oh,

  202. our God is great. Somebody say, amen, don't let me

  203. be the only one excited in this room.

  204. God is great. He's good. It's good all the time.

  205. And so what are we bringing him? So?

  206. The first secret I want to give you about giving

  207. her is don't just give to God what you want

  208. to give.

  209. Give to God what he wants of you. Very important.

  210. Some people think they're very good at giving idea because

  211. I've decided to give to God what I want. And

  212. sometimes the decision that we make to give is not

  213. the same as what he wants. Very important. Sometimes you

  214. want to give God money and then he wants us

  215. to ask for forgiveness from our wife. For example, I

  216. told you is before you ruthe to your wife, you

  217. ruth to your wife as you No, Mama, I give

  218. you one million dollars to God. God said, I don't

  219. need your one million. I need you to go and

  220. ask your wife for forgiveness. You want to, said, so,

  221. what he wants and what we want? It's very different

  222. when no, So, the secret is find out what he wants.

  223. When you find out what he wants.

  224. How many of you are like to get gives or

  225. what people want to give you, not what you want

  226. to receive? Come on, how you are smiling because you

  227. know what I'm talking about. You know why there is

  228. recycling of gifts or from Christmas? Yes, recycle, that's what

  229. you do. Recyc your Christmas gives, to recyc your birthday

  230. gifts that you don't really like.

  231. Don't raise.

  232. Don't raise because somebody wants your waist somebody Father's day

  233. huh sucks? Tie Why the father's want getting it?

  234. I don't know. I don't know what to get for

  235. Della because dad has everything.

  236. We spend a little bit more time with Mom's give

  237. my auntie once upon a time I stood in front

  238. of the door.

  239. I remember my cousin young my.

  240. Coather was only sixteen seventeen, came to Auntie's house, not

  241. one door, very excited. Sometimes sometimes you come to God out.

  242. We're very excited to give to God, right, very excited,

  243. and my Auntie opening door.

  244. Hi. My cousin says, Hi, Auntie, she's holding this give

  245. room so excited.

  246. My Auntie look at the giver and started to cry,

  247. are you poor cousin of mine? Know? I was at

  248. the back of her, like stroking her back, like don't worry,

  249. don't worry. I also don't know what's happening. I also

  250. don't know what's happening, but don't worry. You know, I'm

  251. here for you. I'm the older cousins, the six years older.

  252. I'm here for you. Don't worry. You know why anti crying?

  253. She cried, and then she said she says something like.

  254. Why you why you rap? The gift with packs and rapper.

  255. A big deal for all of us, know, but for

  256. her it's very big deal because she bought something rush

  257. and got the free rapping.

  258. Right.

  259. That's why these days I tell you when I go

  260. and get free repping when I asked, don't put your

  261. brain you know the rapper. So you I know some

  262. of you are probably you know, not walking up yet

  263. because you're like, what's wrong with that? We do that

  264. all the time. But my Auntie was very particular because

  265. then you know what she did not She went in

  266. and got my cousin's gift.

  267. You got said this is for you, and.

  268. It was red with reburns even from the inside out.

  269. No, not the one you can you know what, not

  270. one can see outside one.

  271. No, she said, I spent almost, you know, twenty minutes

  272. just wrapping your gift.

  273. You know what you know?

  274. So I took my dear cousin aside, and I say,

  275. it's okay, it's right. But the reason why I'm telling

  276. you that is that that there is a there's a

  277. difference between us wanting to give somebody a pair of

  278. socks a pair and and and and then of course

  279. somebody in this world came out with that statement.

  280. Is the thought that counts and it saves you from everything. Yeah.

  281. I know a lot of you now are very quiet

  282. in this room because either you go like I don't

  283. agree with that, or you're very quiet because all of

  284. us have done it before. We have bought a rush

  285. gift on that day, a rush gift. I'm telling you

  286. right now, there's a very there's a big difference between

  287. giving a person what they really want and giving the

  288. person what you want to.

  289. Give them, very very different. Now.

  290. I think, as human beings are we are very gracious

  291. and and we are very merciful to each other. We

  292. just received the gift and say thank you because at

  293. least they brought you a gift. They did think about you.

  294. So it is the thought that counts. You know, we

  295. managed this. But I tell you a lot of us

  296. practice the same spirit and the same attitude with God.

  297. God wants Isaac. He doesn't want anything else, Isaac.

  298. Sorry.

  299. Abraham could have given money. Abraham could have given his

  300. wife Abraham, excuse me, sorry. Abraham could have given a

  301. sheep and lamb and goats, and you know she could

  302. given him cow. No, he wants Isaac. And a lot

  303. of Christians miss this, miss this, miss this. What is

  304. God saying to us this morning? Okay, so let's go on.

  305. On the third day, Abraham lifted his eyes and saw

  306. the place afar off. Then Abraham said to his young men,

  307. stay here with the donkey the lad and I will

  308. go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.

  309. I love this scripture because it just shows you that Abraham,

  310. although he knew he was going to sacrifice Isaac, he

  311. knew he was going to come back with Isaac. Okay,

  312. we all know that. We all know that, Oh what

  313. an amazing faith. I'm going to kill my son and

  314. give him to God. But look, I know with all

  315. my heart that I serve a good God, I serve

  316. a great God, and I'm going to come back with him.

  317. Somebody say amen.

  318. So Abraham took the wood of the burn offering and

  319. laid it on Isaac his side.

  320. I love it. As I read more and more, I

  321. smiled because I cannot.

  322. You know, I've been in uthed ministry now for thirty

  323. five years, and when we read the Word of God,

  324. we got to read read imagination. Otherwise we won't appreciate.

  325. We must put ourselves in their shoes. So the Isaac

  326. spoke to Abraham, all right, or before that, lady on

  327. Isaac his son and a knife, and the two of

  328. them went together. But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father

  329. and said, my father, and he said, here, I am

  330. my son. Then he said, look the fire and the wood,

  331. but where is the lamb for a bird?

  332. Offering? Ah? Wish he didn't ask, right, have you ever?

  333. You know, set out yourself to do something and it's dangerous,

  334. it's risky, it's something that people won't understand, and you

  335. hope that nobody asked you the question. You know, when

  336. I was studying law, and you know, some of you

  337. here know that I graduated from the University of London

  338. my law degree.

  339. But you know, when I.

  340. Was not prepared for exam, I just hope to go

  341. to the exam hall and just wing it up.

  342. The worst is to have somebody come up to you,

  343. as it.

  344. Was Kenneth, have you read? Have you prepared you? Rather

  345. than not ask you, just don't ask you. Let me

  346. just go ahead wring it.

  347. Okay.

  348. But now there's one boy who is asking the question

  349. that everybody should have asked. Okay, and what should have

  350. Abraham answered? Come on, what would you have answered?

  351. Isaac said? Father? Father?

  352. The would father, the knife, father, the matches, the fire,

  353. the lighter?

  354. Where's the sacrificer? Why will you answer you? Right? Will

  355. they be answered you? No?

  356. No, Abraham said, the Lord will provide. So that's my

  357. title for today because later on, when we read further

  358. down the line, you will realize that Abraham called that

  359. mountain the Lord will provide.

  360. Can I ask you a question? What would you have

  361. caught the mountain? Sorry? Is somebody answer? Sacrifice?

  362. Nice, the Mountain of sacrifice, the Mountain of secuity?

  363. Anyone else? Kenny? What would you have caught the mountain? Huh? Tryer?

  364. You're going you're going through all this journey, right, you

  365. know it's not been easy. You haven't slept two nights and.

  366. You now right, you woke up, your Stid is with you,

  367. your son, Just ask you.

  368. Right, where's the sacrifice?

  369. That?

  370. Okay? The Lord will prove. What would he have called

  371. the mountain? What would you have caught the mountain? Okay?

  372. You're thinking, he says, he's thinking Mountain of Trial. Yeah.

  373. Yeah, you would have been wrong though, because you're under testing. Yeah,

  374. mount of Tests, mount of Trial, mount of SPM, MOUNTA PhD.

  375. A levels. Oh okay, what else?

  376. What? Come on? Give me two more names? Mountain surrender

  377. someone says, surrender you are okay, moundl Surrender?

  378. What else?

  379. Mount of Miracle? Okay, what else one more? Anybody h

  380. mount of Giving? Would you have called it mount of Isaac?

  381. Call after your sudden? You read dedicated him Mountain of Isaac?

  382. How about Mountain of Worship? Is that a good name?

  383. I think this is the word, But Abraham think about it?

  384. I think about it now I should ask another question. Now,

  385. what you call something is probably what was on your

  386. mind throughout the whole time. How many of you are, well,

  387. maybe those of you who are married and got children

  388. are Maybe you can answer. How many of you thought

  389. about your daughter's name? May only when she was born?

  390. She came out only of you and they said Megan a.

  391. How many are you? How long? How long do you

  392. think about Megan before you call her? Megan?

  393. Way before, way before, way before. So when it happens

  394. there's a name, how long do you take for you

  395. to call Kenny? For those of you wh don't know,

  396. a daughter is sitting next to her and her son

  397. is sitting next to her daughter.

  398. Okay, how long plan plan? So it was it was sometime?

  399. Yeah, yeah, we call something in our lives that has

  400. occupied our minds. The very thing that you focus on

  401. is the very thing that will come out of your

  402. mouth when it happens. Abraham did not call the mountain

  403. by any name. But the Lord will provide, because I

  404. tell you what that will. Probably that was probably on

  405. his mind for a long time before he did it.

  406. When God says, give me Isaac.

  407. I think he thought, Okay, God, this is tough, but

  408. I think I believe you will provide. And then he's

  409. thinking about his wife. Maybe he did tell his wife,

  410. Dear Sarah, God wants Isaac. She cries, no, no, not Isaac,

  411. anything else, Abril ha please, No, God wants him. I'll

  412. do it tomorrow morning. But Sarah, don't worry. We serve

  413. a good God. I'll bring him back. Me and the

  414. lad will come back. I'll bring him back.

  415. Are you sure?

  416. Are you sure?

  417. God sometimes can take away good things from our lives

  418. right now? Don't worry about it. I know this God. Sarah,

  419. stop crying. Don't worry about it.

  420. Okay, I'll get up very early in the morning, and

  421. I'll come back to you as soon as I can.

  422. Are you sure the Lord will provide? Sarah?

  423. What's on his mind? He gets to the two servants,

  424. stay with the donkey, Me and the lad will come

  425. back to you. Why in his mind. The Lord will provide,

  426. and he continues to go on until he takes the

  427. knife and it's about to stab his son. He's in

  428. his mind, I'm gonna this dagger is gonna go down

  429. straight to his heart. I'll make it fast. I'll make

  430. it fast. I'll try to not to put too much

  431. pain on my son. I will strike his heart. He

  432. will die immediately. I will strike his heart. I will

  433. strike his heart. The dagger's going down. Stop Abraham. The

  434. Lord will provide. And then finally he calls the mountain,

  435. the thing that has occupied his mind from the beginning

  436. till the Let's continue to read on Abraham, my son.

  437. God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering,

  438. so that two of them went together. They came to

  439. a place of which God had told him. Abraham built

  440. an altar there and placed the wood in order. He

  441. bound Isaac, his son, and laid him on the altar

  442. upon the wood.

  443. I want to say something else about Isaac. Many times

  444. when we read.

  445. About Abraham, we talk about Abraham, but very few of

  446. us talk about Isaac. Bible scholars say that Isaac was

  447. probably about twelve by the time he went on his journey.

  448. He wasn't three, he wasn't two, he wasn't five.

  449. He was smart enough to know that there's the fire,

  450. there's the wood, there's a knife, where's the sacrifice.

  451. So listen, ladies and gentlemen. When they finally came.

  452. To the altar, Isaac stood there, and Abraham, according to

  453. the word, began to bind his son. Let's read on.

  454. He bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar,

  455. upon the wood. And Abraham stretched out his hand and

  456. took the knife to slay his son. But the Angel

  457. of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, Abraham, Abraham.

  458. So he said, here, I am a twelve year old boy.

  459. If the scholars are really right on this, a twelve

  460. year old boy will fight his father. I didn't those

  461. of you who have twelve years old before know that

  462. your son or your daughter can have will be of strength.

  463. No dad, crazy or what?

  464. No, no son, God wants you. No dad. You know

  465. the Lord will provide son. You know, I don't know

  466. where he's cheasing of things. He's cheesy of things around

  467. the author. Son come here, no dad, come, may your

  468. son one hundred year old man? Or now maybe a

  469. hundred and twelve because he got Isaiah one hundred. Now,

  470. now Isaac's chelf one hundred and twelve, your old man, come,

  471. come and tell you. No, I don't want I don't

  472. Malaysian kid, I know what the Bible doesn't say that

  473. the Bible says. Isaac knew that if his father was

  474. doing this, then his father must have a reason. And

  475. a twelve year old boy allowed his father to bind him.

  476. Speaking to us about submission and sacrifice surrender, Isaac was

  477. willing to submit his life to the plan of God.

  478. How many Isaacs in this room? You know, the questions

  479. sometimes will be how many abrahams, I'm going to ask

  480. you how many Isaacs in this room that will come

  481. before the Lord? Says God, I don't understand. I don't understand,

  482. but your will be done. And Isaac was laid on

  483. the altar, and the angel said, don't kill him for now.

  484. I know that you fear God, since you have not

  485. red Hell your son, your only son for me. Then

  486. Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him

  487. was a ram caught in the thicket by his horns.

  488. So Abraham went and took took.

  489. Went and took the ramp and offered it for a

  490. burnt offering instead of his son. Abraham called the name

  491. of the place the Lord will provide, as it is

  492. said to this day, in the mound of the Lord,

  493. it shall be provided. Then the Angel of the Lord

  494. called to Abraham a second time out of heaven and said,

  495. by myself, I have sworn, says the Lord, because you

  496. have done this thing and have not withheld your son,

  497. your only son, blessing.

  498. I will bless you, ah man, and multiplying.

  499. I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the

  500. heaven and as a sand which is on the seashore.

  501. And your descendants shall possess the gait of their enemies.

  502. In your seat, all the nations of the earth shall

  503. be blessed. Because you have obeyed my voice. Abraham ended

  504. better than he started. I want to bless all of

  505. you right now in the name of Jesus. Lord, May

  506. every single person in this church and better than they started. Lord,

  507. may every person in this church who are here within

  508. the sound of my voice, I confess, I declare, I

  509. decree that they were all and better than they started.

  510. In the name of Jesus.

  511. May they be greatly blessed, more than they have ever been,

  512. a blessing in Jesus name, we pray.

  513. Amen.

  514. Now let's look at the slides that I've prepared for you,

  515. and let's draw towards the finishing line. And I hope

  516. not to take too much time. That is afterwards will

  517. be allotted to the second service. But let's look at

  518. the first point. Every giving is a test. I asked

  519. you to repeat after me this now Genesis story two,

  520. verse one, God tested Abraham.

  521. So every giving is a test. You must understand it.

  522. When I go to speak in other churches, you know

  523. I've given my tithes and offering in acts. But when

  524. I go to Methody church to speak, when I go

  525. to a presbytery in church to speed, when I go

  526. to a Baptist church to speak, where I go, I went,

  527. I went to do it, even a Catholic church camp.

  528. When the bag comes round, I have one or two

  529. things I will say, I've given it ready, I already

  530. give to my church. But every time the bag is

  531. about to come round, it's a test to my heart.

  532. I feel the holy space saying, will you also do this?

  533. Will you also give?

  534. And I said, you know nineteen nine point nine percent

  535. of the time, I'll say yes, Lord, because you are

  536. not just testing me, You're testing my heart, which is

  537. uh the next point after that?

  538. Right? What a test for? Let's look at tests? What

  539. a test for? Any answers here? Can you help me?

  540. Any teachers here? What a test for? To me? Your

  541. life miserable? Yes? Come on? I from your heart? Did

  542. understanding the sillibers? Who I like that? Are you a teacher?

  543. Your dad made you write an essay? I tell you?

  544. What's he testing you? Cheg? Why you test me? Why

  545. you make my life so difficult? Isn't life better without test?

  546. Com on?

  547. Of course, of course, yeah, evenhen life is so much

  548. better without test?

  549. I know.

  550. But how will we ever know? How will we ever

  551. know that you know that one plus one is two?

  552. How will we ever know?

  553. How will we ever know that you know that the

  554. plane can fly if you're a pilot? How I ever

  555. know that the building can withstand? All right? The way?

  556. If how will we ever know that you know that

  557. lift can go up with two cables and not snack

  558. even though there's one hundred whatever, not even one hundred

  559. kilograms is not not heavy, not not that heavy?

  560. Disease.

  561. You know, one thousand kilograms. Okay, what's what's the next slide?

  562. To know where we really are? My day is up there.

  563. When was the last time you went to the guy

  564. for tests?

  565. Not yet? Yeah? When was the last time you went? Yesterday?

  566. Why you went? Where you went?

  567. H I think you will go for tests to find

  568. out how the how is the baby really doing? Why

  569. does God test? Because the Bible says our heart is deceiving.

  570. We think we are doing right, but you know, until

  571. the test comes, you don't know. I know that Jason,

  572. you have a company that does RFID. Uh, And I'm

  573. sure you go to a lot of tests because your

  574. r ID goes onto the hospital bit sheets, your r

  575. ID goes onto the hospital towels.

  576. You got to test whether it works or not.

  577. I'm sure your whole computer systems and all that kind

  578. of do you have to know right one percific towel

  579. out of the hotel or out the hospital. You know

  580. that towel is now in oh this hospital that is whole.

  581. Nicely know, I don't want anybody to use this tower goes.

  582. You know, I wipe myself and you know, I just

  583. don't want anybody to this bit sheet, no where, so

  584. we have to test it. Yeah, and now, of course

  585. right Jays is going around the world with this technology.

  586. You know, even to Europe praise God, but only because

  587. we do. You know that even church, whether it works

  588. or not, is a test. And after the test succeeds,

  589. you can then go and have branches.

  590. Because you know it works. Here. Go what works here?

  591. His word works here?

  592. And you're confident now too spread and by the grace

  593. of God, now we have fifty five churches in eleven nations.

  594. But he had to be tested here does it work?

  595. Do you really know who you are? Do you really

  596. know what you have? Do you really know your heart?

  597. You don't know until you know. You don't know until

  598. the offering back comes.

  599. You know your heart, but you don't know until you know. Ah. Okay,

  600. and if you know and you are lacking, then do

  601. something about it.

  602. Amen, do something about it. Let's move on. What's the

  603. next life. It's a test of our hearts. All of

  604. you agree with The first point is a test, Yes,

  605. test of what pastor you might ask, is a test

  606. of our hearts, because our hearts is where life flows from.

  607. It is where truth flows from. You as a young person,

  608. your heart is not yet trained. You will talk about.

  609. Whatever is on your mouth or mine.

  610. You talk, and then when you grow older, your heart

  611. begins to be trained. And now you might not be

  612. saying everything is on your heart? How's my food?

  613. Ah? Edible? You know I mean, but you know, when

  614. you're a young person, the heart is just.

  615. Not trained, and so you go like, oh, I remember

  616. one time there was a cam and there was a

  617. young boy in that cam who don't to talk.

  618. He's just silent. And so we had a group.

  619. We had a group of all bring into small groups,

  620. and this boy was in my small group, in our

  621. small group. And what happened was to encourage a boy

  622. to speak. They thought, they'll talk about the food. Hey,

  623. you had the food not here in this camera? Lousy

  624. right then the persons oh, before they didn't didn't talk

  625. right now, But down they're talking about food and everybody

  626. agrees the food. One person said, oh, you can take

  627. the breaker this morning's wat. I could take it and

  628. throw it the windscreen and.

  629. Break it all. So they laughed.

  630. They laughed, Then are they talking about the food? He

  631. talking about food? And this boy was so silent, he

  632. was silent for the last two days of caberdine. Now

  633. the third day break him, will break him and cause

  634. him to speak.

  635. Hey can give the person a good experience.

  636. And then one of the guys says, hey, come on, hey,

  637. do tell me. You don't have anything to say about

  638. the food. They told the boy who was quiet, and

  639. the boy who was quiet and said, finally, the cook

  640. is my mom. The leader of that group. I don't

  641. know where to hide his face. All the rest stopped laughing.

  642. He spoke, finally, put the good out of your heart.

  643. You you just begin to speak.

  644. So God is after, He's after a heart. Out of

  645. our hearts will flow the rivers of living waters, either

  646. for good or for bad.

  647. So we have to constantly test our hearts.

  648. Oh my word, this year I'm married for thirty years,

  649. you know, and every Monday I try to go for Monday.

  650. Somebody say, what passes?

  651. You created the word a Monday, and now more and

  652. more people want Monday.

  653. So Monday is my day off.

  654. I try to take my wife out somewhere, you know

  655. where you want to go today.

  656. I try to guard it.

  657. As I'm guarding my marriage, I'm still guarding my heart,

  658. because the heart can really just begin to go crazy. Okay,

  659. let's look at what it tests. Move on please XTIV

  660. Wheen it tests our hearts, it tests what we truly treasure.

  661. Because where your treasure is there.

  662. Your heart will be also. You understand this. Why why

  663. test our hearts? Why the heart?

  664. Because where your heart is there your where your treasure

  665. is there, your heart will be. So.

  666. I remember a man, very rich men in Australia. He

  667. didn't know where.

  668. To give to missions people giving year after year, he

  669. didn't give it all, very rich man.

  670. Multi millionaire in Australia. True story. One day he got

  671. so convicted.

  672. Wow, every year I joined this missions conference, I don't

  673. have a heart to give anywhere. I don't have a heart.

  674. So he comes up to the passa. One day he

  675. just comes up to the bassa after the passer phlish

  676. pridging is the passa. I got a problem for a

  677. few years now, I don't know where to give, so

  678. I didn't give. You mean you don't have a heart

  679. for anywhere? He said, no, don't have He said, okay,

  680. I'm gonna fix it right now. He asked a guy

  681. bring a golfing back. He said, you know, this is

  682. the card.

  683. For you to feel. Just choose one. Just choose any country.

  684. But Pass, I told you I don't have a heart

  685. for the country. Any country. He said, no, No, just choose one. Okay,

  686. choose the wonders in the most terrible state. All right.

  687. So he chose. He chose the country.

  688. Let's just say I can't remember the country right now,

  689. but let's just say he chose Afghanistan.

  690. Aveghanistan.

  691. Okay, right, a check right now, you gotta check you you. Yes,

  692. I've never written for church. You know, a missions master.

  693. I brought it every year. I have it with me,

  694. but I don't know.

  695. Are you sure? Pass?

  696. I totally want to fix you. I'm gonna fix you

  697. right now. And he said, oh, you're gonna fix me. Okay,

  698. I want to be fixed. Okay, all right, So how

  699. much are I write? Write something that is painful? One thousand?

  700. Is that painful? Sometimes your dinner is one thousand? Right,

  701. let me write two thousands. Sometimes your air ticket is

  702. two thousands, and rites something more painful. So he finally

  703. wrote ten thousand, and he put into the back cares

  704. for a multimillionire ten thousands. That thing was all but

  705. ten thousand. Pull in the back. Okay, he says, watch

  706. what will happen? The guy said, I feel that thing.

  707. I feel that thing after putting in the back, I

  708. feel that thing. So he walked back. He walked back

  709. feeling very disappointed and maybe even cheated. How many have

  710. you come on? Come on, wake out the money? I

  711. feel treated. You will listen to any message in church

  712. except giving right.

  713. Ah, yeah, so I'm very close to the heart. Ma

  714. I work do work hard for his money?

  715. Okay, so so yeah, I work hard for the money. Yeah,

  716. and yet God says money is then that will really

  717. get to their heart. You chee you seelah anything else,

  718. they will do this one very hard, very hard, very hard.

  719. So the man the next morning woke up right, didn't

  720. feel anything, didn't feel anything. He went to get his newspaper,

  721. and as he sat down to have breakfast, he opened

  722. his newspapers many years ago, five years ago, maybe opens newspaper. Afghanistan,

  723. he says, and he began to read. What about Afghanistan,

  724. he said to the Pastor one week later, he said,

  725. every time I saw Afghanistan, my heart begin to get excited.

  726. Why because where your treasure is there your heart? Or

  727. he never saw Afghanistan the same way you understand what

  728. he never saw Afghanistan? And say way because he had

  729. an investment there. When I ask you one question, where

  730. is your investment? Where really is your investment in eternal

  731. things or in things that can just come and go?

  732. All right? So what else does you do as he

  733. tests your heart? What else does he do? Look at

  734. my watch?

  735. Now let's run, let's go? Actually he help me? Where

  736. or who is our priority?

  737. Yes? Why test our hearts?

  738. Because our hearts determine our priority? And the and well,

  739. I was about to say the Bible says, but ex

  740. Church has a statement that says, if we don't live

  741. by priority, we will live by pressure.

  742. Every day. Pressure comes from left and right and back

  743. and forth.

  744. But if you have priority, your heart has to put

  745. God first. And if you put God first your life

  746. where come together?

  747. Next? Next? Slight? Please? Do you have money or does

  748. money have you? Why?

  749. Does it test your heart? Because God wants to know

  750. who has you? Very important question. If you can't let

  751. go of ten ring it, if you can't let go of.

  752. Time, don't just talk about money.

  753. If you can't let go of your girlfriend, if you

  754. can't let go of your boy, why, what is the

  755. reason you know I taught you before it I'll teach

  756. you again that although Christian can be sick, sickness.

  757. Doesn't have to have us.

  758. I hope you understand this is a very important note.

  759. Does money have you or do you have money?

  760. We can have We can be poor sometimes, but poverty

  761. doesn't have to have us.

  762. We can be in pain sometimes, or pain doesn't have

  763. to have us.

  764. We can be said, even Christians are said, but sadness

  765. doesn't have to have you.

  766. Are you?

  767. Are you okay with This is very important because you

  768. make decisions in your liver and we can see whether

  769. you have or they have you. This is this is

  770. an important test. You might have a lack, but don't

  771. let lack have you. No one can serve two masters

  772. sys Matthew six twenty four, for either he will hate

  773. the one and love the other, or else he will

  774. be loyal to the one and despise the other.

  775. You cannot serve God and Mammon.

  776. You know when I was preaching this with a Bahasa transitioner,

  777. the bassa Bajasa translation turned Mammon into Satan, and I

  778. asked the translator to stop. I said, translator, I'm so sorry.

  779. That's not the right translation. So he said, oh, he

  780. turns to his Uh. He didn't turn to his bible

  781. before that. He thought he thought he thought that he

  782. was Satan all this time. So he turned to his Bible,

  783. say oh bye, Bible does say ebliss I said, I'm

  784. so sorry. It's the wrong translation. Because money is bigger

  785. than the devil. The reason why the devil thought that

  786. he could get Jesus by saying all this I give

  787. to you, just worship me is because at the end

  788. of the day, you think about.

  789. It, Satan can do a lot of things.

  790. But I'm telling you right now, everyone does everything for money,

  791. and I'm telling you right now, you will do things

  792. for money.

  793. That even Satan doesn't even sometimes we blame Satan.

  794. And you know, there was a time when there was

  795. a jobler where Satan went up to God and say, God,

  796. you know people always blaming me for everything, bro everything

  797. as they believe me, they're indiscipline is already blame me. No,

  798. I'm telling you right now that money is powerful and

  799. Satan will continue to use money. That's why he doesn't

  800. say the love of Satan. The love of money is

  801. the root of evil. Satan uses money or the lack

  802. of it. But I'm telling you right now, he is

  803. not stronger that most human beings. You ask them, they

  804. will not tell you they are serving Satan. Most people

  805. will tell you I'm serving because of money. And so

  806. the Bible says, you cannot serve God and Mammon or

  807. the love of money. What else does this test? It

  808. tests what or who is our greatest fear? What is

  809. your greatest fear when you cannot give, when you cannot

  810. be generous, what.

  811. Is your greatest fears? Less?

  812. If I give more of me, then it's less for me.

  813. That could be your fear. So God tests the hearts,

  814. because from our hearts we will know what we really fear. Now,

  815. let's move on. It is a test of our faith.

  816. It is a test of our faith, all right. Not

  817. just the test, not just the test of the heart,

  818. but the test of your faith.

  819. Let's move on. Do we really believe?

  820. It's a good question to ask us again and again,

  821. show me your faith without your works, the Bible says,

  822. and I will show you my faith by my works.

  823. Faith without works is dead. Faith without works is dead.

  824. All right, let me give you a story before I

  825. draw this to the last lap, many many years ago,

  826. when I was asking the Lord, Lord, what should I

  827. give you for the anniversary giving? And the Lord showed

  828. me my bank account and the number that he gave me. Again,

  829. I want to tell you, is not what you want

  830. to give him. Is what he wants to receive from you.

  831. Is what God wants. God, what God wants. So I

  832. asked the Lord, say, Lord, what what do you want?

  833. He said, look at your bad account. I looked at

  834. my bad account and it was not very much left

  835. a couple of thousands, but not very much. And I say, God,

  836. what do you want to give me?

  837. A number?

  838. I will Oh, I'll tell you what. When I heard

  839. the number, I was so fearful because if I gave

  840. ninety percent of what I had in the bank, then

  841. ten percent is not en avla to last a month, okay.

  842. And so because of time, I don't want to tell

  843. you how much struggle I heder okay, and all of

  844. us would have struggled. And when the Lord ask us

  845. for something that is totally different for what we plan

  846. to give him.

  847. And so I finally did.

  848. I finally did, with a lot of pain and prayer,

  849. I finally wrote that check out for that amount. One

  850. month later, I'm found in Australia to speak at a church.

  851. They invited me to a camp.

  852. It's called Planet Uni camp and Planet Uni is part

  853. of Planet Shakers.

  854. And so when I was.

  855. Doing that camp, they said, Pastor Kenneth, you're making history

  856. because you are the first Asian speaker we have ever

  857. invited to Planet uniquemp and you are the first Asian

  858. speaker that Planet Shakers have ever invited to speak at

  859. their four services on Sunday.

  860. Okay, I say, I'm honored. God has opened doors.

  861. So I walked into the Planet Unique camp and I

  862. saw they told me five hundred campus students.

  863. Wow, no fire camp students at a campus camp. Wonderful.

  864. But I immediately felt comfortable because.

  865. In Planet Uni or Planet Shakers, at least the campus camp,

  866. four hundred and ninety five of the five hundred were

  867. all Asians. Hallelujah, Praise God. All right, that's why the

  868. Australians are very hard to release Asians back to their

  869. own country one now, because it is because of us

  870. that their church is very good.

  871. I'm telling you right.

  872. Now, it's because of the Asian fire that Australian churches

  873. are doing very well. I'm telling you right now. Okay,

  874. I've been to a couple of churches now in Australia.

  875. One particular church that is doing very well. The Accous

  876. department has about twenty people, nineteen are Asians. So I

  877. was so relaxed. I said, wow, Lord, it's like home.

  878. So I appreciate that.

  879. I know, not know with the Australian accent, although I

  880. don't have one.

  881. I just preached my heart out and the people were

  882. very blessed obviously. And then the pastor said, Pastor Matt

  883. Fielder was the campus a time, Pasta Medfielder, and he said,

  884. as I got down and there was the last day,

  885. and he said, okay, Passcna is going to go and

  886. pack his bags and he's going to go back to

  887. the city. They put me up at this nice hotel

  888. called Hyatt Hotel and and.

  889. Uh, someone's going to come and pick me up.

  890. Then Passa Medfielder said, you know that Passa Kenna Chin

  891. doesn't have a salary, so we want to bless him

  892. because we don't know how he's going to pay his

  893. rental at the end of this month. So he has

  894. given his life to this camp. If you think he

  895. has blessed you. Let's take up and offering. Campus students

  896. are so the back ran round. I was backing my room,

  897. packing my bags and knock on my door. I went

  898. and opened the door and passed the medfielder with tears

  899. in his eyes, holding a white envelope, quite a thick

  900. white envelope. He's saying, Pastor Kenneth, I've never seen my

  901. young people give this well, this much.

  902. So he's in tears.

  903. Because every pastor who knows about the power of giving

  904. know when your people give like that, that they are

  905. stand to be blessed. They stand to open up the

  906. windows of heaven. You know, as a pastor, when your

  907. people give so sacrificially, they are just bound to break through.

  908. That's why he was tearing.

  909. He was like, my word, That's why Paul said, right,

  910. I'm not looking at the gift. I'm looking at the

  911. fruit by which your gift will bring about. Oh, pasta

  912. befuder is saying, Paster Kenneth, I surrendered to you this

  913. offering from our young people. I said, it looks like

  914. it's quite a lot past So, yeah, every dollar I

  915. didn't change it. Every note speaks of their love for

  916. you and for God and for what you've done here.

  917. And I was about to take it in and then

  918. count it right and then.

  919. Give him accountability.

  920. He said, I know the amount recounted for you ready,

  921. all right, it's twenty four thousand Aussie dollars. And I

  922. came back after he told me that eyes was starting KLA,

  923. you know, because I didn't come here thinking that I

  924. will receive something like that from the from the campus students.

  925. And so when I came back to Malaysia, converted it

  926. and it was about seventy seventy one thousand ring it

  927. and that was the amount I really needed for a

  928. particular renovation that God told me to do. And so

  929. I want to say to you right now, God is

  930. Noman's debtor. I didn't know that.

  931. Of course.

  932. When I spoke at Planet Shakers for the forced reasons,

  933. they gave me an offering as well.

  934. There. So I came back with that offering and really is.

  935. At least ten times more than what I had given.

  936. When the Lord. See, when the Lord asks you for

  937. something he's not, he's not not because he's poor that

  938. he asks you. He asked you to test your faith.

  939. Would you believe? Do you really faith without works is dead.

  940. Let me look at it. The next slide please, our

  941. giving shows and this is how I'm gonna close today.

  942. Shows Number one, I know where this came from and

  943. who gave it to me. This is point number one

  944. where you give. You're saying, Lord, I know where this

  945. came from. It actually came from you. You gave it

  946. to me. You gave me Isaac, you gave me. If

  947. you have given to me before you can give to

  948. me again. I want to state my confidence that I

  949. know where this came from and who gave it to me.

  950. Number two? What else that this show?

  951. It shows that I know that he who gave it

  952. to me can and will give it to me again.

  953. And even more can somebody say amen, he said blessing,

  954. I will bless you. You know I will cause your

  955. descendants to be like the stars in heaven. Oh the

  956. way we end is so much better than the way

  957. we started, and it gives God the opportunity to do

  958. that work according to what I've done with what He's

  959. given me. Is very important to do today what God

  960. has put in your hands in the way that will

  961. please him. The last point, I think is the last point.

  962. See well, okay, what we reap is what we saw.

  963. We understand this verse next one. Please, I know what

  964. pleases him and I'm willing to do it now. My

  965. time is up, So I'm gonna pray with you right now.

  966. Okay, I know what pleases him and I'm willing to

  967. do it.

  968. Life and giving and generosity is about pleasing God.

  969. Passor Kennethy is not here to tell you how much. No,

  970. you know. Even the woman with the two copper coins,

  971. please God. She please God.

  972. Our desire, as your eyes are closed and your hat's about.

  973. Our desire is to please God. And nothing pleases God

  974. like giving. And it's not just only money. It's your time,

  975. is your talent. If you are in this church for

  976. the last two years, three years and you still haven't

  977. started serving the Lord, it is time to don't be

  978. so stingy with your time. Don't be so stingy with

  979. your serving the Lord. Why do you come to church

  980. only every Sunday and warm the seat. You are not

  981. a spectator, you are a servant of God.

  982. It is time.

  983. Yes, your pastnor is bold to say it. I am bold.

  984. I'm here to disciple you, not to impress you. So

  985. I want to say to you right now. If you

  986. really want to see a brick through in your life,

  987. start being a generous man, Start being a generous woman,

  988. Start serving the Lord. You know there is a particular tool,

  989. a musical instrument here called the shaker. If you don't

  990. know how to do anything else, ask the worship team

  991. whether I can play the shaker and play well? Okay,

  992. don't just play funny? Okay, ask somebody. Can I sweep

  993. the floor? Can I mock the floor? Can I clean

  994. the plates? Can I serve in hospitality? Can I serve

  995. with the children? Come on, It's time to be generous

  996. and and and the reason is to please God.

  997. I want to please God.

  998. Now, if you're here for the first Sunday, or you're

  999. here for the last six weeks and you haven't served yet,

1000. never mind, It's okay. Maybe it's time that you just

1001. sit down, relax, and receive. But the time will come

1002. and your heart will be tested. You and I will

1003. be tested. And will we fail the test or will

1004. we pass the test? Every time we pass the test,

1005. we will be graduated. Nobody finishes center five and go

1006. back to center four. Nobody finishes Tenna six and go

1007. back to center five. Nobody finishes Form three and go

1008. back to Form two. Nobody finishes Form five and go

1009. back to Form four. Nobody finishes a degree and go

1010. back to diploma. Nobody finishes a masters, oh and going

1011. back to a degree. Nobody does a PhD and goes backwards.

  1012. We keep graduating.

1013. As we pass the tests, and the.

1014. Lord wants you to graduate. The Lord wants you to

1015. break through. The Lord wants you to go higher and

1016. higher with him. Can I hear a good amen?

  1017. Wow?

1018. I don't even believe that I'm doing two services. Of course,

1019. the way I give to one service sounds like, you know,

1020. I'm giving it all. But I'm going to do another

1021. service after this, and I will continue to give my

  1022. all because.

1023. I'm not giving just you who are hearing me.

1024. I'm giving to the Lord, and I pray that all

1025. of you in this room will do the same. The

1026. test is our hearts, and it's unto the Lord. Stand up,

1027. everybody to your feet, please, because we're closing. And yeah,

1028. go ahead, Jason, lead us in a song and let

1029. us worship the Lord here in this place. Remember Genesis

1030. twenty two is about worship. It's about giving your best

1031. to God. Would you do that right now, wherever you stand.

1032. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

1033. information on our church, please visit aschurch dot org. We

1036. hit for you. God bless
