You're listening to a message to go from axt church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
So this morning I woke out, I like feeling all
-
eggs everywhere, and but it is good here and it
-
kind of relates to what I want to share today
-
because not really related, but I realized in all health
-
is really really important, uh, you know, for us to
-
continue to go the long haul. You know, different ones
-
of us we desire, We have different desires and our
-
heart and for me, you know, I one of the
-
main main desire is like you know, I always tell God, God,
-
I want to serve you with all I have, with
-
all that I am to continue to serve you, and
-
and God always reminds.
-
Me, you know, to be able to do that. You know,
-
health is.
-
One of the key things to help us to meet
-
that target, you know, to meet that commitment, not just target,
-
and it's a commitment to God. And today, you know,
-
I just want to share. You know, we know very
-
much physical health. So this body will continue lato to
-
you know, as you age, it will continue to tell
-
you signs that hey, you're hitting the forty mark, you're
-
hitting the fifteen marks. Uh, some of you're going into
-
the thirties, you know, you have different different you know,
-
your metabolism way will continue to just drop, you know,
-
different things, la. But today, you know, my role here
-
is not to give any health physical health talks or
-
whatever motivation. But my role here is to help us
-
to continue to keep our spiritual health.
-
Okay, And and and when I was preparing message, you know,
-
I was like, God, you know, how do I title this? Ah?
-
And and and God told me, hey, you.
-
Know, I not call it health healthy Christian Okay, the
-
life of a healthy Christian.
-
And I just want to make a disclaimer.
-
Whatever I'm sharing is not just the only thing to
-
be a healthy Christian. Out many many components, many parts
-
that's gonna contribute to the healthy faith.
-
But what I'm gonna share is just one area of it. Okay,
-
all right, So yeah, so let's get it started. And
-
I'm gonna.
-
So a healthy Christian. The sub point would be a
-
healthy Christian gifts. Okay, a healthy Christian is generous. So
-
how would that then look like for us? I just
-
want to break it down, hopefully possible, break it down
-
to six shot sections. Okay, uh, and yeah, so let's
-
get it started. The mic is ready, right, so as usual,
-
I hope you guys brought your bibles to church today.
-
If not, please get a bible, a physical one. Okay,
-
nothing bits the physical Bible and have the habit of
-
turning because digital bible sometimes can be a distraction. And
-
when we are intentional, it's not easy to carry a
-
heavyer Bible. But it takes a lot intention it takes effort,
-
so God honest. Okay, intentions and effort as well, all right,
-
not just convenience.
-
Okay, let's go for it. In Proverbs chapter nineteen, verse seventeen.
-
Can where shall we start?
-
Hit?
-
Okay, let's start with the second role? Okay, all right.
-
Proverbs chapter nineteen, verse seventeen.
-
The mic, he has pity on the poor lands to
-
the Lord, and he will pay back what he has given.
-
Wow, thank you so much.
-
Perhaps nineteen seventeen he who sorry, He who has pity
-
on the poor lands to the Lord, and he will
-
pay back what he has given. All right, Malachi, The
-
next person can read Melochi chapter three, verse ten, bring.
-
The whole tie into the storehouse, that there may be
-
food in my house. Test me, this is the Lord
-
on my tea, And see if I will not throw
-
open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much
-
blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
-
Amen, colts.
-
So as we have read these two verses, you know
-
my first point is a healthy Christian gifts of finances,
-
not just giving all we can and actually easily part
-
from our finance. Part with is the correct English? Part
-
with part with our finances?
-
Yeah?
-
Correct, help me my brains.
-
Okay, So part with our finances. And you know it's
-
either we are masters of it or slave to it.
-
Right And and God says in his word, you know
-
we cannot serve two master, either God or money. We
-
cannot say that, you know, God, I love money above
-
you we got money, or become our God or God?
-
I want money, and I still want you because whatever
-
is our master controls our life, all right? So do
-
we want God to control us? Okay?
-
So when a chalty, you know how one.
-
Of the engage for us is, you know, are we
-
able to give those to those in need? Being able
-
to support you know, brothers, Chapter nineteen, verse seventeen. He
-
says here right, being able to land to those in need,
-
you know, supporting a struggling family, perhaps and you know
-
or donate.
-
Uh.
-
And you know, where there's a rallying call that we
-
give to church that that hey, you know there's a need,
-
are we able to immediately step out? And and I
-
do know Examine has been living that out. I don't
-
know that you know, when you're d up this place,
-
a rallying call was issued and you guys managed to
-
raise that some and you know, and and the beautiful
-
thing is, you know, I always tell the alliance I
-
really really inspired, you know, just to your building project.
-
I don't know what your card is space, but yeah,
-
you're building project your own home here.
-
Because right it.
-
Is also closely tied in right with Malachi chapter tree,
-
verse ten. Bring all your resources to the storehouse. Bring
-
all the resources that you have in modern times, it
-
go it to the church so that there will be
-
enough for the church to be able to continue to
-
give to the community.
-
Uh.
-
You know, you give to this project of putting this
-
place together and owning this space, not just you know,
-
meeting here on Sundays, but in the end, because you
-
own this space.
-
Now to bring you know, renting it.
-
Uh, you know, many more initiatives can happen here. You know,
-
people were in this place, you know, I know campus
-
last week, you campus city cafe, you know, never my
-
wild's dream.
-
You know.
-
One day, you know, I was just telling the new
-
Light team it's like, hey, inspired by some.
-
Many what so many they did this itself.
-
Actually I told them like, let's have our campus city cafe.
-
Then the next question on mind like where, So that's
-
an issue now for us where? But you know, and
-
and and I know doing the past week as we
-
were drawing out to our aniversary, so you know, past
-
this event team has so graciously opened places for different
-
practices to happen.
-
Uh.
-
It makes it more accessible now than just traveling all
-
the way to subang uh to practice because I you know,
-
I somewhat got involved with the dance to just support them.
-
But we have our African performance as well.
-
Uh, that's happening, Uh even during our partner's conference.
-
So be there.
-
Okay, you know A missed that because we won't stream
-
it live.
-
I don't watch it. I don't get to watch it.
-
Ah, and a bunch of people here for so many
-
it's actually involved you all.
-
I didn't know.
-
I didn't know you guys have such amazing talents here. Okay,
-
in so many amazing uh, Samuel and both Samuel and
-
Peace they actually wrote a song okay just for the
-
performance and Calvin you know, singing and moan as well.
-
I think it's yeah, it's gonna be African radio. So
-
we our vocalists are all Africans, our African brothers and
-
sisters from some money and Neli and our team from Botswana,
-
so there's twelve of them from Botswana's going to be
-
part of the performance as well.
-
The only then the musicians are agents.
-
We have one and Joey and we're still looking for
-
a drama or bassis on both. Uh so let us
-
know because they need to have that beat right, the
-
Afro African style. So so we need that. And and
-
you know that this space has been a really really
-
huge blessing and and and because you guys have learned
-
that giving off your tithes, giving and your offering, you know,
-
giving to the need when it was issued, has made
-
people's life better. And now you know all the beautiful
-
plants are outside. You have your own farm vegetation there
-
as well. Uh you know it's actually hey, I set
-
aside the potato Lisa. You you know I am blessed
-
now as well, because you know they're brought there are
-
resources to the storehouse and now you know we get
-
the feit and different ones I didn't manage to enjoy
-
the vegitarity. Yeah, so you know that that itself is
-
a blessing. Uh, it takes us swing of our finances.
-
Second point would be the giving of our time. All right,
-
So James chapter one, verse twenty seven. Let's read that
-
James one twenty seven.
-
Religion that God our Father Assames as pure and for
-
lears is this to look after offhans and videos in
-
their distress and to keep on to keep oneself from
-
being polluted by the world.
-
Thank you for reading.
-
Okay, so being healthy in the giving of our time
-
as well. Sometimes but it's slightly easier to part with
-
our money, but our time. Okay, probably fifty years ago
-
it's easier because we have more time. But now in
-
this modern day and everything is just trying to get
-
attention different a lot of different commitments as well. But
-
you know, are we able to set the sad time
-
to volunteer to help to support?
-
Uh?
-
You know we still in march onwards after anyiversary, we
-
our community work on Saturdays it is going to resume,
-
so you know, volunteer, volunteer your time for that, and
-
I don't know, examine is still attached to d AJ right,
-
so no volunteer time be there.
-
Uh. You know there's different missions. Uh.
-
I think two three weeks ago we did an announcement
-
for missions or is it at home storry on home?
-
At homes level?
-
You know, sign up to be there for missions as well,
-
volunteer your time and what else can you do, you
-
know besides you know, volunteering your time for community work missions, right,
-
is to volunteer your time to be for others, spend
-
time with each other. I think the last time I
-
was here, I shed a bit, quite a bit on community.
-
And one thing that builds a community is being present
-
for each other.
-
Uh.
-
That requires a lot from us probably, you know, speaking
-
from a slightly introvert point of your sometimes you're like, okay,
-
I treasure.
-
All my time with me.
-
Uh you know, you know for introverts, right, you're like, okay,
-
lets in contact with people better. But you do allow
-
ourselves to come out from that and and you will
-
still have time for yourself. But other people need our
-
presence as well. Our presence of I don't know being
-
there for them. Some people just need a listening here.
-
Some people just need us to spend quality time, you know,
-
and all your other love languages. You know, that's how
-
we express it and receive it as well. So volunteer
-
be present for others. And you know volunteering involves serving
-
the house as well serving church. And I do know
-
the different dream teams will still need your volunteerism.
-
Uh.
-
You know while you are still at your youth.
-
You know the Word of God says, you know, volunteer
-
time and you know, ex kids, you know, teach the kids.
-
You know, volunteer to do to teach that.
-
And you know set up of this venue, the clean
-
out of this place now that you own this place,
-
that's no just come and nicely.
-
Clean and vacuum everything for you right. Uh.
-
You know you guys have volunteered, uh to be part
-
of this, you know. So let's let's build the House
-
of God together a healthy Christian world.
-
Contribute to the building or the house, all right? Okay?
-
Third point is, uh, we have three versus three scriptures here.
-
The first one is Ephesians chapter four, verse twenty nine.
-
You can stand by that one. First the next person
-
can read. Okay, we can go to the third row.
-
Next person can read James five sixteen, and then the
-
third person can read Collisions chapter three, verse thirteen. Okay,
-
so we'll start with is Ephicients chapter four, verse twenty nine.
-
Do not let any and wholesome talk come out of
-
your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others
-
up according to their needs.
-
Then it may benefit those who listen. Amen, Thank you.
-
Next next is James chapter five, verse sixteen.
-
Therefore, confess your sin to each other and pray for
-
each other so that you may be heal. The prayer
-
of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
-
Amen. Thank you.
-
Then the last scripture, Collisions, treat the teen mhm Collusions
-
chapter three, verse thirteen.
-
Mm hm.
-
Hm.
-
Let the piece of Christ ruin your hearts, since as
-
members of one body you are called the peace, and
-
be thankful.
-
All right, Thank you? Close thing bearing right. The New
-
King James version says, here bearing with one another forgiving. Wow,
-
there's a lot of patients testing to bear each other
-
to forgive.
-
And then.
-
If anyone has complained against another, even as Christ forgive you,
-
so you also must do so. My third point is
-
a healthy Christian will be generous with our words. Yeah,
-
we will freely give in our words, uh, positively okay,
-
encouragingly as not if I've read these three portion of scriptures.
-
Sometimes as human beings, we can be very generous and
-
our words. But it's a lot of complaints on like
-
verbal diarrhea. That's very generous. So, but it's still a
-
building up a person. It actually brings people down, right,
-
or sometimes it brings you down. The more you complain,
-
the more frustrated you feel, and the more you feel.
-
Right.
-
So a healthy question gives gracefully you our words, you know,
-
efficients for right. It says, if we speak life into
-
the person. Uh, you know, how do we? Sometimes it's hard.
-
You know, my grandma last time, so my my grandma said,
-
my hot can speaking grandma?
-
How many of you are hockeen here?
-
Yeah?
-
Yeah, so let me let me express it in hockan
-
first that I try to translate it. Okay, So my
-
grandma is like literally gimma, uh meaning right us. So
-
hard to even come out with a nice word because
-
there's a lot of goal in your mouth that you know,
-
you're afraid when you open your mouth your goal for
-
u uh so that's almost a literal translation.
-
Uh.
-
You know, let's not keep compliments just to our self.
-
Encouragement, you know, just encourage another person if you don't
-
know what to say, just say you look good today,
-
that itself is encouraging, that is self builds another person,
-
and say genuinely like it's not like oh but even
-
saying that, okay, let me uh you know check GBT Okay,
-
what's nice to say to another person?
-
Uh?
-
But say it out from the genuiness of your heart. Right,
-
You don't how to say all the flowery things. Some
-
people are just so good and encouraging, you know. Elder
-
Jill is always so generous?
-
Is that? Like?
-
How do you find all the words to say? But
-
you know, be genuine all right? How do we compliment them? Matters?
-
Compliment people matters as well? And at the end day,
-
you know, speak God's love and God's life into each
-
other's life, all right, okay? And just now we write
-
as well James five sixteen. Uh, being generous not just
-
an accompliment, but to pray for each other, right, don't
-
just say you know, as Christians, sometimes you have the
-
right thing to say right or the right way to
-
act as.
-
A bit leave it.
-
Like when someone shows you something like, okay, I remember
-
you in prayer, then there you forget. I am the
-
first person. You know, I shall confess. Sometimes it does
-
sleep my mind, like I'll keep you in prayer, then
-
I forget to keep in prayer.
-
One, So I try to. I try. It's very much
-
to be a habit.
-
Or whenever I receive a prayer link to our telegram chat,
-
immediately I know because I will forget, I will really
-
pray first, uh, and then continue on with what I
-
need to do.
-
Okay.
-
The last one right for this part is you know
-
I talk about freely giving off our words as well,
-
but what's closely linked to it is also forgiveness, right uh, bearing.
-
With each other. That's what collusions treat.
-
The teen says, you know, be generous in giving grace,
-
being generous in letting go of grugeous. I don't know,
-
I mean it profits nothing. If we continue to keep grudgeous, right,
-
it will eat our spirit.
-
It will eat up our joy as well.
-
So let us if someone steps on your toe or
-
that does the Bible say out, yeah you can out
-
trust Okay, that's the immediate response out.
-
But after that. Okay, here's my another toe for you.
-
You know, someone slepts you on the left cheek, you know,
-
give the right as well.
-
Uh, you're out. Trust It's okay, you know, because you're human.
-
Right.
-
I love the response because you're still human. We're not
-
asking you to be got ouch. But move on from there.
-
Okay out, move on from there? Uh okay, next point
-
romansch verse thirteen. And then the next person you can
-
stand by Luke chapter six, verse thirty four to thirty five.
-
Ye, Romans twelve, chapter verse thirteen. Share with the Lord's
-
people who are in need, practice hospitality.
-
Awesome cool, Next one Luke six thirty four.
-
Luke six thirty four. And if ye lend to them
-
of whom ye hope to receive what, then have ye
-
for sinners also lend to sinners to receive as much. Again,
-
thank you?
-
All right?
-
So the next point is a healthy Christian shows it
-
really well in our actions. Okay, Romans Chelseaes, you know
-
we are very hospitable. Healthy Christian will be a Christian
-
that is hospitable, all right. We invite people from meals,
-
you know, like just not saying right, being present for
-
other people. If you you feel like, oh, I got
-
no patience to listen. You know I can't, you know,
-
I can't take long listening then.
-
Be hospitable.
-
Haha.
-
It bring that for a meal, bringing out Uh?
-
Ifern't, it's a place to stay, you know, open up
-
your house, you know, your room, and then then bunk
-
over right to your action.
-
What else can you do?
-
You know, Luke six thirty four to thirty five Essaysia,
-
we could actually land without expectation of return. You know,
-
some if someone borrows from you, give without worrying, or.
-
Give without expectation of having it back. Very difficult.
-
Uh, And I'll say wisdom still needs to be practiced,
-
you know, as as you learn. And then you know,
-
I'm also sharing this because you know, sometimes it's like, okay,
-
church is a very generous lending church.
-
I shall keep borrowing and borrowing.
-
Right, It's more blessed to give than to receive as well,
-
So be wise, okay in that also and the last one,
-
you know, in our actions as well, the different ones
-
of you I think, you know, like Samuel, his gifting
-
is definitely music.
-
Can I share this? I think I can share.
-
So I just found out just you know, because my
-
heart is to see you know, the African group, you know,
-
just being represented in in you know, true the I
-
don't know however presentation. We could do a dance or
-
a song or whever not and and I'm I'm just
-
going to get gather people and gather people. And I
-
didn't know Samuel is so so talented doing the practices.
-
He could just hear like, okay, come on, you know
-
you can get better at this melody, this tune. Then
-
he can identify, oh, you're a barytone, you're a tanner,
-
you're the whever or not. Now I'm like, how do
-
you do that? And I found out that he's actually
-
back in this country. He was a music director. I'm like, wow,
-
such amazing, amazing talent and he used that for God's glory.
-
And you know, he didn't ask for anything written. So
-
I'm really really admire his spirit or just offering his
-
skill onto the lot. And just this week itself, you
-
know what I heard from him, He's like, hey, you
-
know because on Saturday, iund we are supposed together at
-
seven forty five and then soundtrack happens. And to travel
-
from some money to the Putrajaya is a bit of distance,
-
and he was saying that probably we can just get
-
a hotel nearby so that we don't have to spend
-
time traveling. You know, I really amazed how uh. You
-
know some people are like, okay, I'm just gonna perform.
-
You know, I don't care. But he sees it as
-
a worship unto the lot and sacrificing every single time
-
along the way. And it's not like he's the three
-
years person on earth as well, he's got his PhD
-
complete and his family both peace as well, has been
-
supporting children, just coming along for practicers a so, so
-
you know, giving of your skill so would show that
-
you all it contributes to your health as a believer,
-
but it shows where you are at as a believer.
-
And so okay, last two points. I'm gonna skim through
-
fast fast Matthew chapter six, verse three to four uh.
-
And Luke chapter fourteen, verse twelve to fourteen. Okay, a
-
healthy Christian geese unto the Lord without seeking for recognition.
-
Some people when they give, uh, they flaunted right, make
-
it known to the whole world, call for press conferences,
-
have every picture and every influencer.
-
To cover it.
-
But what God says in Matthew chapter six, verse three
-
to four. When we give in six it he blesses.
-
You know, do not seek for praise or reward as
-
you volunteer or time to serve.
-
Uh.
-
You know, as you give your finances to God.
-
You know, do not seek like, Oh God, I'm giving,
-
I volunteering my time, you must give me back. You know,
-
the church must pay me back. I'm going for missions.
-
The Church must cover every of my mission's expense. Do
-
you know when I first came to ask, I was
-
really mind blown and this going out, I thought, you know,
-
whatever the church quote unquote wants me to do, Uh,
-
the church has to cover the cost. Like if I'm
-
gonna go for a mission trip, the church has to
-
cover at least half or pay fully for it.
-
Then I just volunteered my time there.
-
But I've learned even through asks as well, that whatever
-
that I believe in, I saw into it and and
-
and I give and to God without one thing anything back.
-
Uh.
-
That is what the word of God says from Matthel
-
six three to four. And help those right, Luke chapter fourteen,
-
verse twelve to fourteen. Bless those who can't actually repay you,
-
help those who may never be able to return the favor,
-
and that is even a greater reward from heaven. But
-
we do not help because we are waiting for a reward.
-
We help because we are healthy and we want to
-
give towards that. Okay, last point Second Corinthians, chapter nine,
-
verse eight.
-
And then.
-
Also from Second Corinthians, chapter nine, verse seven. Our close
-
with this trust a lot as we continue to give
-
unto Him, as we continue to give unto the church,
-
as you continue to give unto others, you know we
-
will not be in like stagnant jar whill continue to
-
be stagnant. And then you start having your dany mosquitoes
-
reading but overflowing jar that keeps overflowing and keeps being refilled.
-
Uh.
-
It's a healthy jar, right.
-
And and you won't have moss growing or lga growing
-
in that jar because it gets getting refilled.
-
So trans good.
-
As you give, because you know out of the abundance
-
our heart as well, God will reveal. And there's always
-
joy in giving.
-
Uh.
-
And And there's always you know, an abundance floor of
-
love as you continue to give as well, all right, uh?
-
And and second corintence nine, it says you're right, have
-
faith that continue, God will continue to provide desire in
-
your heart. Sometimes you're like, okay, God, I'm limited my resources,
-
but desire it.
-
Ask God for it and he will provide. Okay. So
-
I will close with.
-
That, and I'm gonna invite extrame art right now, and
-
I'm gonna close, uh with praying for us and especially
-
you know, we do this every week in church, especially
-
for friends who are new here today or you have
-
been with us or sometime, but you are you know,
-
you don't have this personal relationship we've God, and you
-
clearly know that.
-
You know.
-
Sometimes you know you could have been a Christian once
-
and you've walked away from the Lord. And today you know,
-
God is asking, hey, it's time for you to reconcile
-
with me.
-
You know God's word today.
-
You know what we have learned as well that to
-
be a healthy human being, Ah, it's being.
-
A healthy Christian.
-
You know we may have as here and there, uh
-
you know, but in the past as well, you know,
-
people could have short changes or sometimes Christians could have
-
hurt us as well.
-
But today, you know, a.
-
Healthy Christian is a Christian who is able to give
-
no matter what the situation.
-
Circumstances. So if you do not have that relationship.
-
With God and you know that, hey, you know, being
-
able to release forgiveness, being able to release of you know,
-
my time, so that I can be present for each other,
-
you know, and and and you know, I want to
-
continue to be hospitable because I know this will do
-
me good. And you know, sometimes human beings, we are
-
also still very limited. We can do all the charity
-
we want, but hearts can still be very very empty.
-
But our focus today, you know, I really thank God
-
because we have Jesus that at the end of the day,
-
everything that we do, our focus is back on Him.
-
As we give to others. We are giving to others
-
because we see it as a worship to the Lord.
-
And because of that, you know, God.
-
Is going to cause our heart to continue to overflow,
-
like I end with that just now, to overflow with joy.
-
And if we don't have enough, you know, we can
-
continue to ask God for that provision. So if you're
-
here today and you're saying, pasevon, I like to be
-
part of this relationship that is real with Jesus, and
-
I want him to come and live in my heart,
-
to be my Lord and my savior to help me
-
get better, to get help me get healthy, not just physically,
-
but healthy emotionally as a person, to be healthy from
-
the inside out, so that other people around me will
-
see and be able to know that I'm a healthy person,
-
a healthy Christian. So if you are the person right now,
-
and I count or tree, and when you're to raise
-
out your right hand to say, Jesus, I need you
-
in my life. I admit that I cannot continue living
-
on my own. And the second one by the raising
-
of your hand, and you're saying that I believe that
-
Jesus died for me on the cross to forgive me
-
my sins so that I can be made whole and
-
break free for everything that has bound me. And see
-
the third one, as you raise your hands, you say,
-
you know, Jesus, I want to commit my life to you,
-
and I want to follow you wholeheartedly, and I want
-
to continue to serve you with all that I have.
-
So if you're the person right now in my country,
-
you just raise up your hand, no one looking around
-
except for our leaders, because we want to take note
-
of your decision and so that we can journey with
-
you to begin this amazing and exciting journey together with you.
-
All right, so you're ready right now in my country
-
and raise out your hand. One, two and three. Okay,
-
there's one hand. There's one hand raised a man. Hallelujah,
-
Thank you Lord, Thank you Jesus. I got the leaders
-
in this prayer and want you to follow after me
-
as you read, dedicate your life to him, and you're
-
giving your life to you afresh and whole. Okay, let's pray.
-
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for your love for me
-
and for dying on a cross. Please forgive me all
-
my sins, wash me clean by your precious blood, and
-
come and live in my heart, fill me with your
-
holy spirit and teach me your ways. And now leave
-
to worship you and please you.
