Halleluiah. All right, harlee lujah. Okay, so this morning, thank you.

I'm glad to be here and I love this message

because as we we do, we do, we can do

this and this message any time, I thought was nice

that we're at the end of the year and moving

into the new year. So I have this topic called

remember remember wow, all right, remember remember remember what? Remember

remember any remember all? I remember everyone? Can you remember

remember what? Okay? So I want to bring us through

and how important it is to remember. So first I

would like to bring this some Genesis nine. How God

remembers imagine, God remembers you, God remembers us. But what

is it that he does? Genesis nine, chapter twelve, verse

chapter nine, verse twelve to sixteen. I put the verses out.

I know I like you to turn to your Bible.

But yeah, if you can turn, turns so you can

mark your Bible. And I've marked my Bible as well.

Genesis nine, twelve to sixteen. Now, remember there was a

great flood that Noah was in the ark and it

rained and it you know, destroyed all that was on

the earth, and only these few people, I think about

eight of them were left with all the animals. And

then the Lord said this up in verse twelve, he says,

And the God said, and then the Lord said, in

verse eleven, read verse eleven, you can follow me with

your bible. Thus I established my covenant with you. Never again,

he says, shall all flesh be cut off by the

waters of the flood. Never again shall there be a

flood to destroy the earth. I may, amen, can I hear? Amen?

We have floods, but it's not floods that destroyed the earth. Amen.

We're life steal all right. And God said, this is

the sign of the covenant which I make between me

and you and every living creature that is with you

for generations verse thirteen. We see this. I set my

rainbow in the cloud, all right, And it shall be

for the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

And I will remember my covenant which is between me

and you and every living creature of all flesh. The

water shall never again become a flood to destroy or flesh.

The rainbow in the cloud. The rainbow shall be in

the cloud, and I will look on it too, the

everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all

flesh that is on the earth. This rainbow belongs to

the Lord, Amen, all right, doesn't belong to anybody else.

The rainbow is the Lord who gives us a rainbow,

because use when he looks at the rainbow, he remembers

his covenant between him who made it, and he keeps

that covenant for on our behalf as well. He made

it for him and for us, that he will never

again flood the earth. So I just picked on the

fact that God said he would remember when he saw

the rain when he sees the rainbow, Oh, I remember,

and not that God forgets. But it's a sign of

a covenant to assure us between me and you, I

will keep this covenant to never flood. Amen. So my

thought is, therefore, next God uses different signs elements to

help the children of Israel to remember different things he

would use in that time in the Old Testament, and

then will come to us. All right. So I'll take

us to some stories behind in our Old Testament. First,

when God made them, when God started the whole tribe,

the Hebrew people, the Jewish nation, he brought them out

of Egypt and wanted to bring them into the Promised Land.

And he gave them different things to help them to remember.

Because why human beings, we are very forget fool right.

I also forget what I ate yesterday. Ah, I forgot,

and then we all forget for a lot of things, right,

and then we might get upset with people and go

like this person lighted, but we forgot five years ago.

This person was the one who helped us, and we

just forgot. We keep forgettings. So remembering the good things,

things that maybe are difficult, we can learn from them.

But we don't have to live in the past. We

just to need to remember that which God wants us

to know and remember. So the first thing that got

showed to the children of Israel in Exodus chapter thirteen

and verse three. Exodus chapter thirteen and verse three. Now

he was going to take them out of Egypt after

the ten plagues. If you know the story, follow with me.

After all the ten plagues, the last plaque was going

to all the first born of the children were going

to be killed or they would not have life. And

but the but the children of Israel, the blood of

the Lamb would be over their door posts, and the

spirited death would move away. And then this this thing

had happened, and then the now God was going to

take them out of Egypt, and so he says to them, hey,

you say the word? What does he say? Moses said

to the people, this day in which you went out

of Egypt, thank you out of the house of bondage,

for by strength of the hand of the Lord brought

you out of this place. No leaven bread shall be eaten.

So this is where you get flat bread, no Turkish

flat bread. All right, there's no bread with leaven, and

they's made the flat bread, no leaven, no yease was

used the rod chaani yeah, flat breid right, because God said,

I want them to put this as a signpost. Now

what happened, and what is the name of this event.

It's called the Passover, the Passover which they celebrate ever

since it started way back then. So they made that

as a remembrance. How God, this is the biggest miracle

that has happened. The Jewish people always talk about the

crossing of the Red Sea. It's so powerful. Nobody has

ever crossed the Red Sea. Nobody has experience of walking

to dry land. Only the Jewish people have, so he

God wanted them to talk about it to their next generation's,

next generations, and so he said no, so we won't

have any leaven bread. No, no, no, because why no

time to wait for the roti to rise. It's time

to go. Pharaoh says, go run for us. You cannot

wait for your bread to start, you know, getting easted up, whatever,

puffed up. So you eat flat bread and you walk

and you run. So that's what they did. And then

you look at verse nine in verse nine in your

bible because I don't have it. No, it's light. He says,

it shall be a sign to you on your hand

and as a memorial. Okay, same chapter, chapter thirteen and

verse nine. It shall be as a sign to you

on your hand, and as a memorial, as a remembrance

between your eyes, that the Lord's law may be in

your mouth. For with a strong hand, the Lord has

brought you out of Egypt. So this rememberance, this sign

is they So what they did, they thought, oh, I

need to put it behind in between my head. So

they have these little They call it tephilin. I call it.

I can't re pronounce the word right. So the picture

please with that picture. So what they thought God wanted

them to do was to put the word of God

in between the heads. This thing it's called tefilin all right,

tefilin in Hebrew. I have another word rhythm. I call

it flacterorals. I suddenly can't pronounce the word. Um what

was it? Yeah? Sorry. So they have these little boxes

on front of their heads, and it's tied all down

to their hands. So God said, remember as a sign,

put it in your hand, put it in between. So

inside that little box is scripture. So they thought by

putting the scripture, they're going to remember that happened for

many years. But you and I know that something can

be there. So there, Oh, I remember the scripture. I remember,

I won't do this wrong thing or yeah, yeah, I

need to honor the lot. No, no, don't kill you know,

don't cover somebody's wife. Okay, put it written all over

the box. But the Lot does not want us to

just have a physical Remember what does God want to say?

Remember from our hearts? From our hearts Because in Jeremiah

thirty Jeremiah thirty three m and verse thirty one, Jeremiah

thirty one and Verse thirty three, says that God says,

I will put my law in their minds and write

them on their hearts of flesh. Amen, hallelujah. God doesn't

want us to rules. He set up rules was because

he needed to lead them. Two million people left Egypt.

Imagine two million people left Egypt. Six hundred thousand were men.

And when there are men, they're going to be women.

When they are women, they're going to be children. And

if there's a whole group of family, they're going to

be others who are not Jewish. One to follow. So

two around two million people, they say, so now to

lead the whole group. How to lead? We lead ex

clang a social society right. How to tell everybody at

homes is on this week press of this week. We

need a system so sold. Anyway, God had a process

to help them to remember that he's the Lord God.

So he taught them these laws. But these laws, now

we think are your laws are so red tape. But

God didn't want red tape. I wanted them to know

him and walk with him so that it becomes a

natural thing. And in Jeremiah thirty one thirty three says, hey,

it's not about the laws that you know the law,

the paper, but I want to put that word in

their minds and in their hearts so that we can remember. Amen,

we are people of covenant. Yeah, church exclaim, Come on,

we are people of covenant. We don't have a God

to sign a paper contract with us. He made a

covenant between him and us individually. Amen. Covenant isn't so

easily torn out of just love for us. It's a

covenant like marriage is a covenant. It's not a piece

of paper. That's why if you think it's a piece

of paper. When when a divorce happens, it's very painful

when it's two people coming apart. But I have a

part of you and me and you know a part,

so it's very difficult. Everybody goes through it. It's not

an easy process. But still sometimes it has to have

and for whatever reason. But that's just saying we are

in a covenant relationship. Our God is a covenant keeping God.

So when God remembers the rainbow, he won't do the flood.

When God remembers his children and his children. Sometimes you know,

the Jewish people, we're naughty, but still God will still

love them, still wants to Okay, never mind such a

mercyful God. Sometimes we are naughty, and he still he

still says, I love you. Which person was there? Even

my parents will saying, you're you are so naughty. You know,

they were like not going to the zoo today, We're

not gonna take you for a holiday. But God, no,

his patience is long suffering patience. He just waits for us,

and he just woos us. And so this remembering on

for the time of the children Israel. God just use this,

this passover as a reminder that the children Israel, how

he saved them. He took them out of the house

of bondage into freedom, which is Cainan land. He led

them to caain and land, land flowing with milk and honey.

But if you study history, you know where these people

took it to. Not because God didn't love them, but

it was hard for them to just believe. But this

is what he says. Remember every time you do the passover.

You have the lamb, you assumblated a lamb. You have

this lamb stew you eat, you partake, you take the

bitter herbs, you have this flat bread. You remember that

I took you from the land of Egypt into the

Promised Land. Amen. So God wants his people to remember

next numbers chapter thirteen, chapter fifteen, numbers chapter fifteen, and

verse thirty eight to forty one. I found this quite interesting.

I never never really until I studied this and did

a study on it. Numbers, Chapter fifteen, verse thirty eight

to forty one. So the Lord, if you look at

your Bibles, they will say, there's a title that says

tassels on garments all right now here he says, speak

to the children of Israel. He tells Moses, tell them

to make tassels. You know what tessels are. Sometimes you

wear a dress or a shirt and these little tassels. Yeah.

So it says, make tassels on the corner of your

garments throughout their generations, and put a blue cord, a

blue thread in the tassels of the corners. And you

shall have the tassel, and that you may look upon it.

And you say all the commandments of the Lord, and

do them. That you may not follow the hollow tree

to which your own heart and your own eyes are

inclined to look at other things around you get distracted.

That you may and do all my commandments and be

holy for your God. I am the Lord, your God,

who brought you out of the land of Egypt to

be your god. I am the Lord, your God. Amen.

Do you know how many commandments there are? Wrote? I

read somewhere it's six hundred and thirteen commandments to remember this, this, this, this,

the dead, feed your count I don't know what it's okay,

so six hundred and thirteen we cannot remember one, so

we can remember Mother tell you don't play with the fire.

You still play with the fire, all right, So six

hundred thirteen. Then how how to remember? So the Lord said, hey,

make these tassels, but in between weave a blue thread.

When you see the blue thread, you remember the commandments

of the Lord. All God wanted for them was to remember. Keep.

He just keeps trying to bring them the place of remembrance.

Why because human beings are forgetful and God knows that.

So he's not gonna hit you with a rot turn

and say, ay, you know you naughty. No, He's trying

every way to help us remember that he's good, he's kind,

and so these little threads there to help you remember.

And they have this shawl or the wherever there's this

blue thread up to today, if you go to tradition.

No Jewish people, they will have that still in practice

because God wanted them to remember.

So.

Our God is so kind. He constantly wants to remind us.

He wants to cause us to do well. Amen, Yeah,

He's not out to get us right. So he brings

these little things called the blue tessels, the blue the

tessels with the blue thread, so that they can remember

that there are six hundred and thirteen commandments out to

remember every one of them. But when you look at it,

go like, oh yeah, yeah, I remember. I'm not to

cover someone else's wife. Oh yeah, yeah, I remember. Do

not use the Lord's name in vain. You know. They

actually like a bit like the Manaji go Un type,

but they actually go to the Torah and all the

five books they meditate on it meditate. So while they

meditate and have the law, God wants to go beyond

the knowledge of the law. He wants the experience of

God in their hearts. That's why Jeremied thirty one. Let

the law be in their minds and be in their hearts,

not in a piece of paper, not in a book,

but read and in the flesh the hearts of our

the flesh of you know on our hearts. Amen. So

so so God wants to keep them to not sin

against God. And the word of God was to help

them live freely and not be tied down by the

sin of this world. There was God's idea, God's heart

for them. That's all. He just He's a holy God.

He just wanted people to know him and come before

because he made away for them. But it was tough

for them. So that's why he made all these things.

So but again, because we are we are. We live

in a fallen world. We are fallen man and woman.

While Jesus can redeem us, sometimes we are still going

to forget and God just wanted that. Amen. We'll see

how we come to that for us today. Amen. Next

we go to Deuteronomy chapter eight. Another remember another word?

Remember all right, So next we can see Deuteronomy chapter

eight and verse eighteen to nineteen. Then you were like this,

all the businessmen, come on, all right, he says, And

you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is

he who gives you power to get wealth. And amen,

can I hear? Amen? Oh of your entrepreneurs, of doing

your own business. Hey, you shall remember the Lord your God.

For it is he who gives you power to get wealth,

and that he may establish his covenant which is sworn

to your father's, as it is today. And then it

shall be if you, by any means forget the Lord

your God, and follow other gods and serve them and

worship them. I testify against you this day, you shall

shortly perage. Okay, he was going to bless the people.

God has given power to you as children of God

to make wealth. Amen, Come on you and I have

given from I mean, some people are just better in it.

It's just God's anoint thing on all these business people, entrepreneurs.

You know, Israel is called a startup nation. It came

out from zero. How does a nation thrive when they

are entrepreneurs? A country can do very well when you

have on entrepreneurs, not just being employed, but people, entrepreneurs,

start up, startup companies. That's how it grows. That's how

people make wealth. Right, And so he says, I give

you power, So believer us in child of God, God

give you power to make wealth. Amen. Not it's not wrong,

but it's what you do with it. And then you

sutenly forgot that it is God to give you then

you just, oh, yeah, is this is there? You know,

can't count church and some they're gonna do my golf

on Sunday, all right, to make those connections. Ah, then

you go and you're gonna perish. Okay, but I'm not cussing.

I'm because I'm just reading the word perish. But amen

and amen. God actually gives you the wisdom, the knowledge

understanding how to do business. Some people do better than others.

I can't. I'm not very good at it. I work

for people terrible. There's a very slow all right. But

if you have your own business, this is just saying

there's a promise. It should be an encouragement and you

if you sense that it is God's calling you go

and do this law. Because He gives power to get

He gives you power to get wealth. At the end

of the day, whatever the wealth, remember to give it

glory to the Lord. Amen. And you know those of

us involve so much in end time harvesting, saying, why

does God give you power to make well so that

you can sew into the work of reaching the loss? Amen?

Not just you can build your house and buy your cars,

but don't forget to sew into the work of the

Lord to reach the nations, really the loss, and if

we forget that, I don't know, perish. Okay, I don't know,

because he says that, all right, So remember when you

get wealth and you do well, give glory to God.

Then ask the lot how can I sew this into

planting churches, into reaching the loss? Amen? And then the

last remembrance that I'm giving to us today is in

Joshua chapter four. Joshua chapter four, verse four to seven.

Now we had the crossing of the Red Sea. Now

there was Moses time. Now we have Joshua crossing the

Jordan River. I have no idea how big the river

Jordan is, but I have to say it's a very

dirty river. Okay. Now I don't know about last time,

but they had to cross two million more people for

forty years in the desert. I'm sure people would have

given birth and have more children, so it might be

more than two million people. And they have to cross

river Jordan because they were going from this side of

the desert and going into the Arabian desert. Right where

they are now is crossing over from North Africa Egypt

side and now going Palestine, going into Palestine if you

look at your geography, they had to cross Jordan river.

And then this is what Joshua says to them. So

Joshua Joshua, chapter four, verse four to seven. He says

to them, Joshua called the twelve men okay from representing

twelve tribes whom he had appointed from the children of Israel,

one man from every tribe, and Joshua said to them,

bro cross over before the ark of the Lord, because

the ark of the Lord's going to be in the

middle of the river. All right, Now, crossover and before

the arc of the Lord. Your got into the midst

of the Jordan. And each one of you must take

up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number

of the tribes of the children of Israel, that this

may be a sign among you. When your children ask

you in time to come, saying what do these stones

mean to you, then you shall answer them that the

waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark

of the governor of the Lord, when he crossed over

the Jordan. The waters of the Jordan were cut off,

and these stones shall be a memorial to the children

of Israel forever. So they had to carry the stones.

I don't know how big they were, and they would

make a memorial up when they crossed over from the Jordan.

And all the Lord wanted them was to remember it

as a sign, and when their children asked them passing

down to the next generation, they will be able to say,

the Lord brought us out from the House of Bondage

from the Red Sea. Now we're crossing into the Promised Land.

We cross over the Jordan on dry ground. It's a sign.

It's a memorial to celebrate God's faithfulness. He looked after

them forty years in the desert. Now they were going

to cross the Jordan. So again a memorial. The Lord said, remember,

not only remember, but teach them to your children and

your children's children. How do we have our heritage? How

do we share to our children and to our grandchildren.

Yesterday I was talking to someone and they said, oh,

I've never heard about grandpa. She's my sister in law.

She was talking to her, and then she said, I

didn't know. I didn't really know grandpa. And because the

pastor's grandpa died very young, but he was he was

quite an important person in the Catholic Church. He was

also a music teacher in Saint John's school, very well

known school. But she said, I've never heard about Grandpa.

And how come none of his nine children played any instruments.

He's a violinist, he played the violin, but he died

very young, so she said, so nobody talked about Grandpa.

And only when she met one of the uncles had

come back from Vietnam back and called last few days

that they started to talk about Grandpa. So how do

you talk about God? So they thought, if I put

the frontlets here and tied to my hand, if I

do different things, I remember. Maybe that's why we forget

to say how God brought mommy and daddy together? How

did you guys meet? Sometime they asked you how did

you meet? You see girls? And then you remember and

you say God brought us together? Or hey, we have this,

how do we have this? How do we come here?

Can you remember? So those sign posts was to help

them tell their children's children to remember their heritage. And

many of us forget. Many people forget Germans forget that

actually was from Germany. That was revival from the time

that Martin Luther, who was the Catholic priest who said,

oh the just shall live by faith boom. There was

this whole renewal, and you know, people were sent out,

but now nobody knows who Jesus is. In Germany. It's

very difficult to preach the gospel there, but we still

have to do it. So talking about it, and we

must keep talking about teaching our children about Jesus, about God,

what God has done for us, not complaining, but talking

and having faith. Talks to bring memory, to bring remembrance

so that they can pass it down to their children,

just like how we celebrate Chinese New Year or Christmas.

We talked, we want to do things for our children.

Play the tongue long, you know, when we tell them, oh,

this is what we do when I was a child,

why do we do that? And we tell them the history.

So these are memorials to remember our grandparents, our heritage.

Oh we're from Paranakhan. Oh we're you know we have

Portuguese blood. Oh we come from Sri Lanka. I don't know.

We have a heritage men and women today. We come

from different places and God wanted them to remember. So

I bring it closer to home to us as we

think of how God helped that the children is you remember,

how does God want us to remember and move forward.

Every time we move forward, we need to remember, then

we can move forward. So my thoughts for this as

I put this down next, the first thought for us

is remembering is to take time to reflect, to be

reminded of the good God has done or what others

have done for us. We too often don't remember remembering

to take time to reflect and be reminded of the

good God has done or what good others have done

for us. And this is very important. Whether we do

this at the end of every year, there's some some

people are quite admired. They always take time to reflect.

They go away. Okay, I've never done this before. I

don't have a culture and never have time to go anywhere,

but or just have a you know, a few hours

alone with the law and reflect. So it's good to

reflect on this one area. How has God been good

to you this year? Or remembering what good that others

have done for you? Remember so I thought about it. No,

maybe for the year, maybe for a life time. Sometimes

there are some how do you call it, some English

was not coming moments in our lives that good things

have happened, and maybe you don't see the people anymore.

I try to. I'm so forgetful of the twenty five

years of doing EX Church, but twenty nine years, thirty

years of doing AYA. We started with Asian Youth Ambassadors,

and that's about twenty nine years worth of young men

and women that have walked through the doors of AYA

and EX Church. Not everyone came to EX Church, but

there are many other lives, and today we're meeting them.

They are in their thirties, in their forties. They are pastors,

they are missionaries. They are doing businesses that are helping

other organize I mean other churches or other organizations overseas,

and you know, they remember their encounter with us, and

I can't remember them. And when they remember, they always

suddenly us to go somewhere and Pasna go somewhere. They

go like, Pasa, you don't remember me. But I was

so impacted by Rock two thousand back in nineteen ninety nine.

Today I'm a pastor, today, I'm a missionary. Today I'm

owning a business that is sowing into the work of

Whatever they're doing is really helping the poor or the marginalize.

So sometimes people remember and they see you and they

tell you it really encourages somebody that all this time

we do when we do it, it meant something to somebody.

Maybe we don't remember, but they remember. And then then

God remembers you talking about that testimony. He writes down,

Remember Malachi, the last chapter is it. God remembers And

here's what we talk about, he writes down in his

book of remembrance of what you and I were talking about.

So it's good to remember. I remember when we were

in the UK, the first two years of starting up

the church, the first early students, not not Christine, Christine, Christine,

she was there. He was attending a the different church

that we had recommended her because she went earlier than

we started X. But pastor was very sick one year

in the cold of winter in January, and this young

girl was a student. Then look at her, she's a

mom now. And she cooked porage, you know, and came

all the way from where she was to us, and

she were saying, no need to come, it's okay, it's okay, right,

when she brought a whole pot of porridge to come

and feed past her right, and brought one of our

other friends, but got his name. Is what every ex

chudge boy and they came, and always remember because he

was so cold, dingy and dark January, terrible time to

be in the UK. And we reached there on Christmas Day, dingy, dark,

no text, see nothing right. You just had to find

your own way. And then he got sick and it

was one whole week. I'm sitting in this hotel. I

can't I don't theare go out, I don't know to

go out, I don't there do anything. I just just

walked to the shop Nearbying. Comeback so bad with underground,

don't know how to do. She came. So we always

remember that God always send somebody to help you right,

encourage you and or wherever we are. Sometimes God just

said and you don't remember small things, but that time

it mattered a lot. When you remember, you give thanks

to the lot. Sometimes we get angry with somebody and

then you get angry now, but can you sit down,

Remember was their time and they were nice to you,

and they were kind to you. Can you remember when

God was kind to you. That's why reflecting is actually

one of those really important activities that choose that you

and I probably need to do. Even in corporate training,

in management training, leadership training, I can see one of

the points there. I'm writing this paper now right for

management studies, and what is the what are your ideas? Reflection?

I have to reflect and help teachers to reflect about

the people are talking about reflection. How about us the

children of God? God asks us to think about the Lord, right,

He always says, remember, so maybe before we close the year,

before we come on first January, to prave your around,

before you start into your ear? What has God done?

And where does He want you to be? Right here?

Right now? Why are you here? And what purpose are

you here? How did God bring you here? What are

you contributing? What is it God's taking asking from you? Reflect?

And because we don't, we sometimes forget how good God is,

how Manna forget how good our friends are to us,

our church is good to us. And reflecting helps us

to remember. And so I always when I prepare this message,

it's not like I just prepared it, but keep building

on it. And sometimes when I get down and I get,

you know, really discourage, I have to remember why I'm

here in the first place, why God even brought us

this far, why we are here, why become your friends?

I don't know you from Adam. We didn't know each other,

we didn't have clang in our minds. Shall never have

met you, Margaret, I don't know that's Jonathan's mom. Nothing

but God put us here for a time. And as

you remember the goodness of God, even when there was

a storm, you just remember what the good came out

of that storm, so that we grow our faith and say,

no matter what, God has got our back, no matter what,

no matter what, friends we down like crawling already, I

still say, no matter what, you know, the work of

the Lord is hard work. There are many servants of

the Lord who really work so hard, and some of

them have lost their lives. Some of them are well.

Just to win one soul, it's not easy to not

nurture that one soul. It's not easy. I ask you reflect,

what has God done for you? What has other people

done for you that has enriched your life? A man?

Remember take time to reflect. Secondly, remembering brings about thankfulness,

and it helps us to be grateful for the kindness

of God or what others have shown to us. It's similar,

but thankfulness is there a spirit of thankfulness. Gratitude is

a very big virtue. Gratitude, but God also is very

particular about being thankful. Instead of complaining what you don't have,

Let's celebrate what we have and thank God for it.

Thank God for this person in my life, thank God

for this country. Stop calling this country a bad country.

We have to be thankful. I tell you somebody, our guys,

you know, our Enchantressian and Dominic. The powerlifting student. The

student who's doing powerlifting is number five, by the way,

number five in Asia dominated her picture. They'll give a report.

So he went to Uzbekistan to participate and compete in

the Asian don't know what powerlifting and Chan. They went

to Uzbekistan. It's winter, it's two degrees. They came back.

There's the John. How you okay? Ps I reached okay,

okay you okay. I'm so happy to see the sun.

I'm so happy to see the sun because there was

no sun in Uzbekistan. It's winter. So he's dark by

three o'clock or whatever. It's dark. And in school, is it?

I love the sun? I say, yeah, don't complain about

the sun. It's so hot. It's so hot. But when

you see the sun, who you know? Winter and sun wanla,

So be thankful. Yeah, even for the sun that you have. Yeah,

be grateful for God's kindness to you. What can you

see speckles of kindness of God in your life, in

your business, in your company, the person you're working for,

your colleagues, your fellow students, your classmates, your un your

uni mates, your family, your husband, your wife? Are you

thankful for your relationships that God has given to your time?

To be thankful one is to remember the goodness. Next

is to be grateful and thankful and declare that out

so that you have less to complain. Thirdly, remembering helps

us not to allow roots of unhappiness and bitterness to

remain the next life. Remembering helps us not to allow

roots of unhappiness and bitterness to remain. Meaning. I know

when we remember bad things and sad things and tough things,

it brings you down. But remember the word of God

that tells us right to not allow unforgiveness to take root.

Don't let roots of bitterness to remain. So that's just

exactly this. Remember how God has helped us through this time.

Will not allow these roots to remain rooted. Let's up

rooted out because there's no point in the end. And

maybe we take a journey. We take a while to

get rid of the roots. But that's how weeding is

like in our garden. Right, you have a garden. Still

it takes a while. I've been weeding, you know, my part.

And it's only a part. It's not even a garden, garden,

not witheds full of wheats, but my part, you know.

I want to grow whatever. And then there's little sprouts

of wheats coming out, and I have to keep pulling, pulling, pulling.

I thought I'm done, and again it come out again.

I keep pulling out until hopefully normal weats. So sometimes

it takes a while because hopefully we don't have a

lot of roots like bitterness, don't lie in life, can

be happy and thank you Jesus every day, okay, and

remembering remember how did God bring you through? Remember how

the God provide, Remember how he shielded you. It could

have been worse. It could have been worse. He shielded you,

He protected you. Yes, you cannot believe this thing happened,

but if you remember how God lifted you, or remember

God your plan is better than my plans. You knew better.

Thank you lot, so that the roots of bitterness won't

remain too deep you can start pulling, you know, and

again you kept to pull it out again. It takes time.

I believe something takes time. We all need a space

to heal. Amen, but don't let it grow deeper. Remember

the goodness of God and then uproot those things. Get

it off your life not worth it. You can't grow next.

Remembering causes us to give God praise in all things,

as you'd remove all your bitter roots. You praise God.

Thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus. Okay have you caught

yourself saying thank you Jesus more or saying a lama dish? Okay?

What do you catch yourself saying? All right? Vin said, okay,

thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus. Even you force yourself.

Sometimes you have to force yourself first before it comes

becomes naturally in line with who you are or are

we the ones always finding fault, finding the mistakes. I

grew up in an environment like that of people finding mistakes,

never good enough, never good enough. That's how I grew up.

So as I rob as an adult, become a you know,

take care of people, involved with people, or so you

keep finding the one not your hair not in place

make up or alamah. You know I need to uproot

those things, but give praise instead, to find that at

least what everybody has a good thing in them. When

everybody does despite what you think, that personality really give

me problem. But everyone has one good thing, whether it

is oh you got very nice hair today, Oh you've

got such a kind heart, and you praise God. The

more we praise, the more we open up our own

hearts and open up the windows of heaven to rain

down a blessing. These are some keys. I have another

message on the keys of the kingdom, and praise is

one of it. And so as you learn to praise

God as you end the year you're stuck. Friends, some

of us are still stuck in our issues. It ain't

gonna change anytime soon. But we have the antidote praise.

So remember causes us to give God praise. I can't

do anything about it. I can't change the circumstance. I'm here,

this is the company I have to work for now.

God didn't say move. Okay, I'm gonna praise God that

he's lifting up the burden. I'm gonna praise God that

he has already brought new people into our mizzing. I'm

gonna praise God. That not enough, but He's gonna make

it enough for us as we make praise a habit

instea of complaints or regret. Living with someone with regret

every day is tough. Yeah, right right. Every day you

talk to someone and they say, I really regret you

know that's some people say I regret this and regret that.

I don't even want to say it, but I regret regret.

Why live a life of regret when you can live

a life of thanksgiving and praise and God? See, God

open the doors. What the devil wants is to keep

us bound instead of releasing us. Amen, even to the

most hardest of things. And do you want to know

what the will of God is? Everyone? Yeah, I want

to know what the will of God is. You say,

I want to do God's will? How many? How many

of us want to do God's will? Yeah? We want right?

All of us want to do God's will? Sure? So

what is it? First Thessalonians five eighteen. First Thessalonians five

eighteen says what the will of God is to give

thanks in all things. That is the will of God,

not very not very big, great, that's it. Just give thanks, Yes,

give thanks to God in all things, in all things.

I had to tell that to my mom. Do what

she's dealing with some difficult person. And she's like, huh

what your mom? Give thanks, give thanks? This was not

needs of my whatever my kindness. I'm like, Mom, you

want to do God's will, not m this. Give thanks,

give thanks, stop complaining. Right, you give thanks. That is

the will of God, giving, thanks giving, praise, stirring up.

And I'm learning to do this a little bit better

than years before. A little bit better, get better. We

all need a space to learn and grow. Let's give thanks.

Let's say it is the will of God. I'm gonna

complain ready, Okay, thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus. It

is so hard, but thank you Lord. You know. One

could be dealing a difficult child. It could be dealing

a difficult boss. It could be a difficult spouse. Yeah, yeah,

I have a difficult spouse sometimes. Yeah. So always got vision.

Be careful what you pray for eyes. I want to

marry a man with vision. You ask for it. Yes,

thank you Jesus, thank you. So vision la all right,

so praise godlak just give thanks in odd things and

fine God's purpose in it. Find his door that will

open for us, God's blessing, God's love on your life.

You give thanks, amen and love. When you remember what

God has done all that above. It will cause us

not to keep the Eternal to ourselves but to share

him with others. Amen. Remembering causes us remember how good

God is and what is done for us impossible. Causes

us to not keep the eternal to ourselves, but to

share Him with others. Amen. And so there are people

in our lives that need to know the eternal, which

is our eternal Father. You bring it to them so

that they can have what you are having. They can

participate in the same things that you are enjoying in

the Lord. Amen, hallelujah. Remembering, do you remember that which

God has done for you? Remembering just brings out life,

life and life more abundantly. Complaining and recalling negative things

don't always get us very far. It brings us down.

But God wants to set us to a place where

He told the Chunal Israel. When you remember, you give thanks.

When you remember, you know that I won't forsake you.

I will do what I promise. Amen. So that's my

encouragement to you Church. Some of us need to just

reflect a little bit and slowly. God works in his

most beautiful time. He doesn't work in our time, but

he works in his time. He's never too late. He

will come for us. He will come and save us,

He will come to lift us up. Maybe the circumstances

doesn't change, but our hearts is the one that changes.

When our heart changes, then we can see with a

different lens, a lens of hope, a lens of obedience,

a lens of faith, a lens that says I can

walk around the tree. I don't have to go through

the tree. I can walk around the tree, or I

can walk over the mountain. Yeah it didn't open, never mind,

but God still makes away for us and so much.

We all go through many, many different things in different forms,

different experiences, and you sometimes feel very alone in that journey.

Or you know, we could be married and have a

life partner, but we can still feel alone because it's

something you have to walk through. And I always say,

our spouse is not the one who completes a sorry

Tom cruise, all right, No woman or man completes us.

Although they vow all this at their wedding. I'm so bad.

We're like, no, it doesn't complete you. Jesus completes you.

You right, So God completes us and he adds to

us our spouse. But even then they cannot walk with

us because it's a hot issue and we have to

come to the one who created us, to the one

who knows how he has made us. And I will say, Lord,

we're made in your image. Need to find that strength

and the wisdom to deal with that issue. Again, give

us all time. We all need a space to grow,

to develop, to forgive, to give thanks, to release, blessing,

to embrace, to let go. So many areas we need

time and space. So give one another that time and space.

Some of us are better getting through it, some of

us a bit slower, but it just means we can

bear with one another. Amen. Hallelujah.
