  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. God stage and Satan's several touch. You know, whenever God

  4. stages something in your life. And this message the central

  5. truth is that if God has allowed something to happen,

  6. Satan world and can take advantage of it. Now, this

  7. central truth was shared to us the hah One, the

  8. hard one, which is basically the ones that are under

  9. discipleship with Basta and Bassendra. A few weeks ago he

  10. shared this truth with us and I actually wrote to Pasacadama.

  11. I said, hey, Basta, can I actually use this guy sends.

  12. The church needs to hear this because sometimes in our

  13. lives we notice that there are things that happen to us,

  14. bad things, right, not so pleasant things, and sometimes it

  15. even happens in the context of God's plan in your life. Right,

  16. sometimes we feel that, hey, God has allowed certain things

  17. to happen. God has directed me to this job. But

  18. how come in this job there is a boss that

  19. doesn't understand what I'm doing. I give my best, but

  20. yet every week, every day he seems to be giving

  21. me a lot of problem. You know, I'm doing this,

  22. but God I thought you spoke. I thought you put

  23. me in this position. I thought you put me in

  24. this company. But how come yet time and time again

  25. I seem to be not able to perform to form

  26. my boss. Right, we tend to question ourselves. And the

  27. truth was this when Pastor had this heal bone fracture,

  28. in fact, it was a broken heal bone, he questioned.

  29. He questioned why him? Because you know, if you know

  30. Pasta right, he is one to actually go around and

  31. he really cares for the people and he meets people

  32. almost every day. But now being confined to this space, right,

  33. it can be quite demororizing. So he actually did question

  34. why why did this happened? And you know, the devil

  35. is scheming, miss don't even mischievous. He's a scheming evil

  36. being and he just wants to still kill and destroy

  37. a hope in future. So he will use this opportunity

  38. and he will. He can and he will, all right,

  39. he can and he will. And today I'm just gonna

  40. share a little bit on that hopefully you'll catch something

  41. from it. Okay, So I'm going to share a personal

  42. story first before we start. And uh, I don't know,

  43. it's my wife, but she's supposed to be here. Uh

  44. is she outside somewhere? I need her? Actually I didn't

  45. tell her about it, but I need her. Rachelle not there? Okay, anyways,

  46. I'll change story. So uh, I'll change story. So when

  47. I was younger, when I was nineteen years old, I

  48. had a dean to my knee. Okay, I had a

  49. dan my kney, so stimilar to us a story. Why

  50. I got reminded by it because I was reminded of

  51. my own journey. So I thought, all my meniscus muscles. Okay,

  52. you don't know if you know meniscus, but if you know,

  53. then there's a clu is it hey, anterior interior, and

  54. then there's the post posterial a cl mcl and then

  55. there's the meniscus muscle. So the maniscus was torn while

  56. I was playing basketball. Hey, I was. I'm a very

  57. uh every basketballer. I used to play basketball every day.

  58. When I was younger, I used to run from my

  59. house as a warm up to the basketball court. There's

  60. about three point five kilometers away, and I'll run there

  61. all the way. I'll sprint all the way as a

  62. warm up. Then our warm up by doing that, and

  63. then I'll play basketball for I think three hours. My

  64. longest I play it was four. I was, I was

  65. so excited. I don't have a ball. I didn't grow

  66. up in a wealthy family. I didn't grow up with

  67. much money. I used to get ten ring money as

  68. my allowance, then ring it a month. My lot was

  69. to ring gate a week. So I'll be I'll be

  70. so happy when it comes to the month that has

  71. five weeks, and hey, I can get more than eight

  72. ringate a month, so I'll have that. And I don't

  73. have much money. So because of that, I don't have

  74. money by ball. I love basketball, but I don't have

  75. the ball. So I'm going to play basketball in the ball.

  76. Can you imagine? So I always come early at for

  77. the dBm. Right, I will be there by for the

  78. d rain or shine, to wait just in yearning for

  79. someone to turn up with a ball. So when I

  80. find someone finds a ball. We have a community, right,

  81. I got to know friends. And that's how basketball was

  82. last time. Right, you just go and you play a stranger.

  83. I remember, I don't know you all can relate to this.

  84. But you have to shoot to should to enter into

  85. a deep So the one that enter will get to

  86. normally the captain and they choose the players. But if

  87. there's no captain, right, then the first five to go

  88. in will be part of a deep, then the rest.

  89. So it's quite it's quite skewed. Last I can you

  90. imagine the first five they're going is a you can

  91. actually shoot the ball nicely, and you group all these

  92. people together to fight against the people that cannot enter.

  93. It's quite it's quite quite imbalanced, in my opinion. But anyways,

  94. there was that I played basketball from four or eight

  95. o'clock right, and at eight o'clock I will run back again.

  96. That's me. That's my life. So can you imagine I

  97. used to be quite fit, la, I used to be

  98. quite fit, very fit. You know. I used to also sprint.

  99. I participated in races four times hundred one hundred meters

  100. and I think my record timing, if I'm not misking,

  101. was chop point one four hundred meters chop point one.

  102. I think that is quite Okayler, listen, I don't know

  103. whether that's considered fast, but chop point one is for

  104. a guy. The record holder is nine point four nine.

  105. You know you're who's saying bot around there, right, nine

  106. by four, So about chop point one was my record?

  107. Uh and I so I used to be quite fast.

  108. I used to be quite fit. He asked. My wit

  109. wife was also to be here so that I can

  110. ask her to basically celebrate my story. Where if you

  111. go to my house, right, you got my stairs, there's

  112. all meadows and all the way my wife, my mom

  113. hanging all the meadows at every at every U, what's

  114. that the step in your got real reel and then

  115. you just hang all the way up. So I used

  116. to be very fit. That's a story. Right. So one

  117. day when I was playing basketball at nineteen years old,

  118. I I didn't realize this, but I was playing, playing, playing,

  119. and I don't know why I can still run back.

  120. I think it's just adrenaline rush or something. But I

  121. felt something like I felt something. I felt a lout

  122. pop pop black right, and then I was running as

  123. I was. I didn't feel anything, so I kept playing.

  124. I kept playing. I think I won matches more than

  125. I lost that day. Then I ran back. I ran back.

  126. I went into the shower, and that's when I realized

  127. something is off. Something is off, because I did a

  128. shower every time I moved my leg. I hear pop

  129. pop pop top top pop cock like non stop, you know,

  130. like like I felt like suddenly, oh nowhere, the the

  131. energy just left my right leg in the show and

  132. I fell down. Fell down in the shower. That's where

  133. I realized something is wrong. I screamed to my mom.

  134. My mom come and helped me, helped me up. I

  135. realized I cannot walk, I can walk, I was left leg.

  136. Can I walk? How did I even get back in

  137. the first place? So it was such a I can't

  138. explain the pain. It was the worst pain I've ever

  139. experienced my life. Just played that way, okay. So then

  140. got to the doctor's uh got it checked true enough?

  141. Corn maniscus uh And it was at the knee, right

  142. knee that happened. And there was the time that I

  143. actually and context. I also grew up a Christian. My

  144. barls for Christians. I grew up a Christian, but I

  145. wasn't really a believer. That just play it that way, okay.

  146. Uh So when the doctors doctors tested it, doctor said, hey,

  147. you want to repay it? I said sure, don't say, okay,

  148. how much nineteen thousand at that timer, afterty four now

  149. years nineteen years old. This happened so quite long, nineteen thousand,

  150. just to do the reconstruction of the manuscus muscle. And

  151. I was like, I can't. We can't afford this because

  152. you can know it number you can no insurance, no

  153. medical insurance enough to cover that. Even on top of

  154. the insurance to pay even more. The doctors say, it's okay,

  155. it's not a cl ACL. You need to get it fixed.

  156. You don't get to fix you it for life. I

  157. don't know who else got ACL injury before you work

  158. and relate to me, But uh, manuscus, okay, you will

  159. here by yourself, but you will never be the same again.

  160. You will never be the same again. Doctor to me,

  161. you will never you will never be able to play

  162. basketball combatitively again. And I used to be paying competitively

  163. represent the district MSSD I was playing for that. I

  164. was a center forward. I don't know what you know

  165. what that means about a central center player. And I

  166. used to also be a point guard. Okay, basketball terms,

  167. point guard is shooter. Okay, you shootn't so uh. In

  168. order to be an effective point guard, you need to

  169. be able to use your knee right. You need to

  170. be a run and dictate play center. It's just tend

  171. the middle. So from nineteen it took me a year

  172. a year just to be able to walk swoofully again. Now,

  173. not to make matters worse. When I was healing from

  174. this injury, When I was healing from this injury, I

  175. was basically in a season of if you know my story,

  176. I was in a season of just abusing drugs all

  177. my life. And I was just in a very very

  178. bad stateler right. I was in daylist at that time,

  179. and I was trying to do my day lists South

  180. Australian Matriculation and I was failing at ITLA. I wasn't

  181. doing well. There was one day I was waiting for

  182. my mom to pick me up. Right, I was on

  183. the phone. Now, I'm not missed. I was on the phone.

  184. It was not missing, and I was just using it

  185. and I was just watching some thing, reading some things

  186. like that time not much internet, right, I was just

  187. watching that. I think my no K three three one oh.

  188. He can relate then. Oh, by the way that three

  189. or I stole from someoney be Anyways, besides the story,

  190. very very bad person, okay, very bad person. So three oh,

  191. I was using it. And I tell you what, with

  192. the right knee that wasn't really healed yet, I took

  193. a step back. The next thing I knew, I cannot

  194. bang by a car bom. Okay, it's quite drastically Okay.

  195. I dislocated my right arm. Okay, and dislocated my right arm,

  196. and it was just it was just a tragic year

  197. for me where things bad things kept happening, bad things

  198. kept opening, and not just I lost my right knee.

  199. Now I lost my right arm. So I can't really

  200. play that well anymore. Okay, Ever since nineteen ideas old,

  201. I basically the only thing I knew how to do

  202. and was good at was number one spots and spots.

  203. I wasn't going to studies the other s I wasn't good,

  204. But sports I was quite good. Esports I was quite good.

  205. Uh And all I had left was the result back

  206. to esports. I couldn't play sports anymore. Okay, none, uh

  207. not no me got n but me or functionally properly.

  208. The arm dislocated, But dislocation is not that it's not

  209. that bad. Actually the doctor popped it back on the spot.

  210. Oh my gosh. I never ever ever wanted to feel

  211. that pain again. Why I'm telling you all this is

  212. because I went into a spiral. After that, I started

  213. to gain a lot of way. I started to stress

  214. eat very very fairly. I still remember my stress eating

  215. procedure was. I think you'll know the break the kimba spaghetti.

  216. I think five hundred grams, but my wife told me right,

  217. one serving is about a twenty sen coin, okay. I

  218. used to eat I think three times of the twenty

  219. cent coin for one serving, and not just eat a

  220. normal time, but eat it at three am every day

  221. every day. With the kimbal spaghetti sauce. That's my favorite.

  222. I could eat that every day I eat and then

  223. sometimes into me double going the low. I'll eat a

  224. wagg what twenty two twenty three, I was fat. I

  225. used to be fit, then I went away replaced the eight.

  226. I was fat after that, fat so fat, the stomach big,

  227. but then the face still scrowny Sama beat. Then as

  228. life went on, I continue I continued to be I

  229. was so fat to the point where I think I

  230. wrote down over here nineteen years old, I was about

  231. seventy kg. Twenty five years old. I was looking through

  232. my old pictures. I think roughly if I cannot, I

  233. ne remember wrong. I was eighty something eighty to eighty

  234. five CAG. Then when I was thirty four years old,

  235. I got not got married, but married for four years.

  236. I hit my greatest Witkay, my greatest wit, which was

  237. ninety four point seven kg, clean waiter right away, no

  238. check out, no nothing, clean weight, ninety four point seven.

  239. I'm not I'm not proud to tell you all of

  240. this law because honestly, I didn't feel good, la, I

  241. didn't feel good, and not to mention that eighty five kg. Right.

  242. I actually went to sign for a Jim Hey Jim

  243. and at the gym session, I went for a BT

  244. personal trainer. Right. I told a person trainer all my

  245. injuries law. I got a knee I cannot do. I

  246. cannot ben my knee that much at that time, and

  247. I really couldn't. And the gym fellow right, and the

  248. way he whacked me up, he is in bublinger, you know.

  249. So I tell you can't even do ten push ups?

  250. What a loser? I got so scarred, you know. I said,

  251. I'm paying you money and you're doing this to me

  252. hello for me? Will leave me more respector push higher?

  253. Push more, push more. Don't lose it. If you don't

  254. do it, you can't come back, okay. So ever since then,

  255. I got a very very PTSD from GIM PTS. Sorry,

  256. that's what the PTSD stand for pt Personal Trainer, it's

  257. not it's PTSD post trauma. That's what they gave me.

  258. And I was so reluctant to go with the gym

  259. of read I tell you what. After that, I even

  260. got into an argument my wife one one one day

  261. where my wife got like, you know, trying to encourage

  262. me to go to gym. Then I just, you know,

  263. just came out like I tell you, I don't like Jim.

  264. Can you start asking me to go? Jim? I cannot

  265. take it anymore. It's a very very internal hurt, you know,

  266. very c gim. I cannot take it. But I tell

  267. you what, I tell you what I was. I don't

  268. feel good myself. You know, my weight. You know, when

  269. you're carrying such a weight on your hit and your stomach, right,

  270. you won't feel good. And I do you feel good

  271. about myself? I felt so terrible. I feel like no,

  272. I feel like nobody wanted me, but my wife wanted me.

  273. I didn't know why she shows me despite of my weight,

  274. despite of my empty promises. I always tell her, right

  275. every year, I'll lose it, I'll lose it, I'll lose

  276. it that She's like, hey, okay, i'll lose it. I

  277. tell her I'll lose it before we get married. You say,

  278. I'll lose me again. Weight happy. So ninety four point seven,

  279. I didn't feel good to myself. I made a lot

  280. of empty promises. I was lithargic all the time, litargic

  281. because I tell you how bad Ichla. I tell you

  282. how bad ichla. You know one hundred meters. I used

  283. to be like, like, I tol you actually once again

  284. my record, right, I couldn't even jop one hundred meters

  285. at my prime prime of my weight. Okay, couldn't even

  286. jop one hundred meters. I diary, how many of you

  287. here can talk a hundred meters? Hey, come on loud,

  288. guys can right on hundred meters? Can write fifteen meter?

  289. I was diardy fifteen I die it ready, That's how

  290. bad it got. And I and I got so tired.

  291. I was doing ministry at the time, exteens, and I

  292. was like, oh, you know, I cannot I cannot leave

  293. boxes I bend now. Also, my knee hurt, back hurt, everywhere, hurt,

  294. my back hurt everything, forward hit everything. I cannot okay.

  295. Point being this, it was such a bad season of

  296. my life, and I really really really continue to think

  297. to myself, I can never lose weight. I can never

  298. lose We now, before you think that this is an

  299. MLM about something that I want to sell to you

  300. about losing weight, No it's not. It's not, because let

  301. me just let me just give I'm giving you the

  302. testimony first, and I'll share you just one point. I

  303. never close, Okay, just one point. We were close. But

  304. the story is this this year, this year, I felt

  305. like it's time. So I think in January I did

  306. share all of you that I want to account to

  307. the church that I'm going to start my journey to

  308. lose some weight. I didn't know at the time how

  309. much I will be able to do because honestly, with

  310. all this internet hurt, I say, I cannot, I cannot

  311. do gim anymore. So my prayer, my prayer was this, God,

  312. please give me something that I like doing. Please give

  313. me something, Show me something that I like doing. Yeah,

  314. you'll know, pick a ball. So I started. I started

  315. by picking up the balls. But I eventually found out

  316. that I can get I can play a little bit

  317. like not not too good, but at least to lose weight.

  318. And now I would like to report to all of

  319. us the s of yesterday. I'm eighty four kg. Eighty

  320. four kg ten ten kg loss uh in two months,

  321. ten kg loss in two months. But so there's a testimony.

  322. But the journey of getting there was filled with Satan,

  323. said a touch Phil. Satan used the allowance of God

  324. for me to get there. You know, God put me

  325. in a season of testing, of waiting. And I just

  326. want to share a few one story of how I

  327. actually journeyed from ninety four, not just in weight, but

  328. the self identity, the identity of not feeling that God

  329. can use me because I'm tired all the time, right,

  330. I am douging all the time, and I'm not able

  331. to protect my wife in case of anything. You know,

  332. if that's they're gonna rob my robber, right, I think,

  333. how am I going to chase out the robber? Use

  334. my fads? It's my fat. But so that that's the

  335. conviction that God put my heart. Now I'm not gonna

  336. I'm not putting out anybody here if you feel that

  337. you're not fit. But I just want to encourage you

  338. that your body is the temper of the Holy Spirit.

  339. You got to ensure that you take care of it. Okay,

  340. all right, So back to my message for today. I

  341. have a few things to share with you, but I'll

  342. only share one point. But I want to draw into

  343. a to a certain truth. And if XTV can can

  344. do this for me, can you with me to the

  345. point where it says, when God allows testing Satan tries

  346. to twist the truth? Can you go? Can you go

  347. to that point? If you want to know the rest

  348. of the sermon, you can refer to the first service

  349. you can read watch our MDG. But I just want

  350. to zoom in on one point, one point, which is

  351. when God allows testing Satan tries to twist the truth. Okay, Now,

  352. if you can turn your Bibles to James one verse twelve,

  353. there will be great and he says, blessed it's the

  354. man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved,

  355. he will receive the crown of life. Amen, he will

  356. receive the crown of life. My next light says, this

  357. next light, what is testing? Turn with me to Genesis

  358. chapter eighteen. Sorry, Genesis chapter twenty two. Genesis chapter twenty two.

  359. Now it's not on the slide. But if you can

  360. put the scriptures up, there be great Genesis chapter twenty two.

  361. Are you there all right? Actually we can help us

  362. for those that doesn't have the scriptures. All right, scriptures

  363. on the screen. Now'll read with me. Now, I'll just

  364. read along with me. I will, I will read, and

  365. you can read in your heart. Okay. Verse one. Now

  366. it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham.

  367. Everyone say tested, and say to him Abraham, and he said,

  368. here I am. Now I want to introduce to you

  369. something called the principles of first mension. Okay. Whenever we

  370. want to identify what a specific word in the Bible means,

  371. we often go to the principles of first mention. Meaning

  372. if you want to identify what worship means, you go

  373. to when it was first mentioned in the Bible. And

  374. then that's when you identify a Yeah, that's what God

  375. actually intended for this word. Now, the word tests were

  376. here in Hebrew where the Old test Man it is

  377. written originally is basically the word nasa. Okay, nasa. Now

  378. if you know space nasa, No, it's not that nasa,

  379. But nasa basically means to build and to reveal. So

  380. when the word tests is used in the case of Abraham,

  381. when God, if you know the story, God promised Abraham

  382. a child from his own body, right with his wife.

  383. And you know, eventually he received Isaac, right, but at

  384. this time God wanted to test Abraham. So when he

  385. tested Abraham, the word tests over here basically means to reveal.

  386. So if you read the verse again, you can really

  387. as God wanted to reveal something to Abraham, something, want

  388. to reveal something to Abraham's heart. Right, So God tested

  389. Abraham and he said, here I am. Then he said,

  390. take now your son, your only son, whom you love.

  391. Fun fact, the word love over here is also the

  392. first time that was mentioned, okay, the first time it

  393. was mentioned Bible. And go to the land of Moriah

  394. and offer him there as a burnt offering on one

  395. of the mountains of which I shall tell you. So

  396. this story goes on where Abraham took his child Isaac

  397. early in the morning, and they when and sacrifice, and

  398. as it was about to sacrifice Isaac, the Angel of

  399. the Lord appeared stopped him. Okay, oh, the story you know,

  400. But I want to zoom in on this word tests

  401. and in First Corinthians ten thirteen, if you can turn

  402. to it with me. Now, I like turning to scripture.

  403. I hope you like to do that too. So First

  404. Corninthians ten the teen says, therefore, let him who thinks

  405. he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has

  406. overtaken you, except as is such that it's common to men.

  407. God is faithful who will not allow you to be

  408. tempted beyond what you're able, but with the temptation will

  409. also make it a way of escape that you may

  410. be able to bear it. The word temptation in verse thirteen,

  411. the word parasthmos in Greek, and parismos and nasa is

  412. basically the same word. Okay, once Hebrew one is in Greek.

  413. So what does this actually mean? What does this actually mean?

  414. It says over here in the later stage of the

  415. verse that he will make it a way of escape

  416. that you may be able to bear it. The word

  417. here is bare. That means that there is pain. That

  418. means that it's not just something that it disappears like

  419. my meniscus muscle tore right, and then you pray to

  420. God and God say, okay, I'll help heal you. No,

  421. the word here is you're able to bury. What does

  422. baron mean? Bare means that if I were to apply

  423. pressure to you and put a needle. Do you know

  424. how when the nurses say, hey, just close your hand

  425. and the hand for I'm going to I'm going to

  426. put that needle in your your race. Right. There's a

  427. funny story where my not so funny. Actually it is

  428. quite quite quite me in my dad when he was

  429. diagnosed with cancer right and because his veins were so

  430. hard to find, the nurse actually to choke my dad

  431. right on the left hander to talk until the Wholtington

  432. blackmail because cannot find a vein. We went to see.

  433. I said, Dad, put your hand. So the nurse tried

  434. to try to find a vein. Cannot find a vein.

  435. I'm down. I'm no, I'm down, I'm down down. They said,

  436. I cannot bury anymore. Then he switued the right hand.

  437. I tell you there's the word bear. The word bear

  438. is that God will allow you to testing. But that

  439. doesn't mean that it doesn't come with pain. It will

  440. come we are a certain amount of pain. One of

  441. my favorite verses to quote is Second Corinthians, chapter three,

  442. verse twelve. He says that those who desire to leave

  443. the collly Christian life will suffer persecution. Right, that's one

  444. of my favorite verses to quote. But that means that

  445. if God gives you the ability that you're be able

  446. to bury it, that means that the pain is there.

  447. The pain will not go away, the pain will not disappear.

  448. Some of us sometimes when we go through testing, we

  449. tend to think on equate testing as when the pain

  450. ac culture testing that God is not there. But when

  451. the pain is there, that's when God most the most.

  452. I want to encourage you that when you go through temptation,

  453. when you go through trials, that's when God will move

  454. the most in your lives. Jesus was obedient when the

  455. Holy Spirit led him into the wilderness to be tempted,

  456. right led him to the Holy Spirit was one who

  457. let allowed. So sometimes we must understand in our psyche

  458. whenever something challenging happens to us, it's not that God disappears,

  459. It's not that God doesn't love you. Anymore. Is that

  460. because God loves you that he wants to test you

  461. and tests you, not to put shame to you, but

  462. to reveal to you what really is in your heart?

  463. What really is your heart? Then, my dear, my dear,

  464. my dear Rachel, even if you go through all of

  465. this world, you still worship me. Testing truths what is

  466. really in your heart. Testing builds your faith. Imen, testing

  467. builds your faith. But the good news is this that

  468. God is faithful. Go back to your verse. God is

  469. faithful who will not allow you to be tempted beyond

  470. what you are able. So that's what my encouragement to you.

  471. You will end your pain, but it won't be the

  472. pain that you wondn't be able to end it. Until

  473. you give up, there will be pain. So when God

  474. tests us, when God allows testing, what Satan tries to

  475. do is he tries to twist the truth. He tries

  476. to twist the truth. That's why James one Child says

  477. that blessed is the man who ends yours, tentation, end yours.

  478. There's something beautiful about enduring. There's something beautiful about waiting.

  479. There's something beautiful about testing. So testing is not punishment.

  480. Is God's way of proving, refining, and strengthening of faith.

  481. That's what testing is. Right. Sometimes when we are when

  482. we have faith, we must be able to prove that

  483. we have faith. And testing proves that when I put

  484. you through the fire, what comes out? When I put

  485. you to the fire, Will you go through the fire?

  486. When I put you into the lines? Then will you

  487. go into the lines? Then it proves your faith because

  488. if you do not showcase your faith, therefore your faith

  489. does not have the substance. Amen. Therefore, faith is the

  490. substance of things hopeful. Right, you have to continue to endure,

  491. like how Jesus endured the cross word and you're here.

  492. It's not just a word that Jesus thrown to us

  493. for us to do, but he himself didn't do it. No,

  494. Jesus himself endured the cross. He was obedient to the

  495. point of death. Amen. Jesus shown us the way that

  496. the way to eternal life, the way to salvation, is

  497. to trust, to trust in Jesus. But the trust that

  498. comes to Jesus comes with the building of your faith.

  499. And the building of your faith how you build it

  500. is by testing. Amen. It's like God tested Abraham Barasmus,

  501. I hope you are catching something from this testing testing

  502. amen next life. It reveals what's in our hearts and

  503. deepened our dependence on him. That's what testing does. Scripturi

  504. also says that out of the abundance of the heart,

  505. the month will speak. Out of the abundance of the heart,

  506. the mount was big. And if that is the case,

  507. if your heart is then filled with just junk and unbelief,

  508. then what comes out is also unbelief. And Jesus said

  509. to his disciples, when his disciples ask Jesus, why can't

  510. we heal or why can't we cast out the demon

  511. from the little boy from the child? And Jesus said,

  512. because of your unbelief, and all of this is only

  513. possible through prayer and fasting. So if unbelief is what

  514. we feel our hearts in the moment, something is uttered.

  515. For example, we are going to reach massa x gotta

  516. come morning, is going to reach master college, master university? Right.

  517. The first thing that comes out of your mouth is

  518. are not possible? Not possible? How can ex Gotda comning

  519. reach campus with look around got campus with the Lord? Right?

  520. Our Excotda companing can only reach twenty five to thirty

  521. five years old. No, I pray that our faith will

  522. be so strong in the Lord, not in our ability,

  523. because if it's in our ability, then it's not possible. Right.

  524. But if our faith is in the Lord, we will believe.

  525. We will believe, but not just believe. You'll pray and

  526. you're fust. I mean we'll pray first because it will

  527. be possible to cast out demons. And some of us

  528. things think about demons as oh, just the goals and

  529. all that. No, it's not even even unbelieved can be

  530. a demon in your heart. Unbelief can eat you up

  531. from the inside. Right. It reveals words in our hearts

  532. and deepens or dependence on Him, not on men, well

  533. on each other. Sometimes we depend on our wife more

  534. than we depend on God. And it is very scary,

  535. right if all you care about is what your wife thinks,

  536. or what your husband thinks, or what your children think.

  537. I pray that we will think about what God thinks

  538. in our lives. Amen, Can I have the next light? First?

  539. Sweeter one seven says that the genuineness of your faith

  540. being much more precious than goal that perishes. You know

  541. goal perishes, right? You know goal in the in this

  542. earth is so precious, right, But you know in heaven

  543. it's actually just a street. It's just it's just something

  544. that is used on the street. It's actually not that

  545. not important anymore. Goal the whole the whole street is

  546. filled with goal. If you really want goal where and

  547. you get to heaven, you get all the goal you

  548. want to day all right, but it's much more precious

  549. than goal that perishes. Though it is tested by fire,

  550. may be found to praise, honor and glory at the

  551. revelation of Jesus Christ. Amen, your faith will be tested,

  552. tested by what tested by fire. It will be hot.

  553. It will get hot in your life right, trials will

  554. get hot. So I always like to encourage the young

  555. people and perhaps even all of us here today. If

  556. your journey, your Christian journey, is one that is very comfortable,

  557. I pray to it you will start praying. I pray

  558. you'll start praying. Because in my own experience, right, my

  559. journey in Jesus right is filled with trials, and the

  560. testing builds my faith. And the next time something or

  561. someone says that, hey, go and do this, Previously I

  562. would say it's not possible. But because the testing that

  563. occurs in my life. I will now say, hey, I

  564. think it's possible to then Hey, let's go to then

  565. Hey how high? Jump? How high? But in order to

  566. get from a place of jumping or not doing it

  567. to how high, testing is important. Amen, So testing by fire.

  568. I pray that excodic mooning in all testing and trials

  569. thrue fire. You will come out stronger and very ready

  570. to go for Jesus. Amen. Next life, Joe, I'm gonna

  571. introduce a character to you. Job. We're gonna close right

  572. after this, but Job is a character that I don't know.

  573. How many of you want to be jobs? Do you

  574. all want to be jobs? Those of you who know scripture?

  575. Those of you who do not know, don't worry. I'll

  576. introduce Job to you. I'll not not introduce a job

  577. for you, but introduce Job, the character Job. You know

  578. last time funny story when I when I read this,

  579. I'm like, how come the Bible telling us about how

  580. to get a job. I was still wearing new I

  581. read Job. I think this is not the character with

  582. getting a job. But the character Job is such an

  583. intrinsic and amazing character. But yeah, at the same time,

  584. so relatable to the point that it's unrelatable. Why I

  585. say that, let's turn to Job with me. I didn't.

  586. I don't have it on the screen, But it'll be

  587. fantastic if we can turn to the Book of Job

  588. and we're gonna read some scriptures from the Actually, can

  589. you help me? Just Job? Chapter one and verse one?

  590. Can we let xcally? Can you put it up so

  591. that we can have it on the screen? Chapter verse one?

  592. First one, let's start the worst one. Okay, first one,

  593. just the benefit of some of you who do not

  594. know the character Job. Can we have first one up?

  595. And then you just follow me? Okay, just follow me? Okay.

  596. There was a man in the Lene of Us, as

  597. I always reminded authority, the Wizard of Oz, but Lene

  598. of Us whose name was Joe. And that man was

  599. blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. Okay,

  600. what a guy? What a guy around? How many of

  601. us can say I'm that guy? Okay? But Job is

  602. that guy? Okay? Next next verse, verse two, and seven

  603. sons and three daughters were born to him. Wow, productive,

  604. really good, really fruitful. You know the Bible says be

  605. fruitful and multiply and job is fruitful and multiply definitely

  606. next verse, so introduction job. Also his possessions was seven

  607. thousand sheep. How many of you has seven thousand sheep here?

  608. Three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred

  609. female donkeys. Perhaps one of the donkeys that Jesus wrote

  610. on is his donkey. If you survived that long and

  611. a very large household, so that this man was the

  612. greatest of all the people of the east. Can you

  613. see that the greatest of all? Next night, I mean

  614. next verse and his sons would go and feast in

  615. their houses each on his appointed day, and would send

  616. and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.

  617. What a happily happy family. Whenever I see Drope, I

  618. always remember Chasing and Unice, such a happy family with

  619. the three children having dinner. I just I just picture

  620. their family dinners or the table, and it's just a

  621. lovely time. I know they love to invite people to

  622. come along and eat with them. So and very very

  623. good people, very good family. We Praiscot Fotboll said, Unie,

  624. I would picture them, you know, they are their long table,

  625. all the food on the table imagine this family. This family,

  626. really I remember this family, and all the family say like, okay, oh,

  627. your spreads are very nice. Who else do nice threads? Are? Uh?

  628. All of you? Okay? Anyways, next verse I'll put Richard,

  629. we see your house one day, I want to visit

  630. h So it was when the days of fisting had

  631. run their course that Job would send and sanctify them,

  632. and he would rise early in the morning and offer

  633. burnt offering according to the number of them all. I

  634. don't know how many, but off ring has to offer

  635. for Job said, it may be that my sons have

  636. sinned and cursed God in their hearts. That does Job

  637. did regularly? See, he feared a lot so much. You know,

  638. everything he did there is because God, God was priority

  639. in his life. Next verse verse six, we're getting to

  640. the cake already. Now, there was a day when the

  641. sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord,

  642. and Satan also came among them. Okay, so this is

  643. one occurrence. Did Satan ever go to heaven or go

  644. to in the midst of God? Yes, he did, because

  645. God allowed him. Did you see that God allowed him?

  646. And Satan also come on the sons of God that

  647. want is the angels. Okay, I'm not going to also,

  648. but next verse, next verse, and the Lord say to Satan,

  649. from where do you come from? So Saytan, answered the

  650. Lord and saying, from going to and fro on the earth,

  651. and from walking back and forth on it. Can you

  652. see that? Can you see that? One of Satan's greatest

  653. lines is that he doesn't exist on this stuff? He does,

  654. and we have to acknowledge his existence because if you're

  655. not careful, his lives will get to us. No enemy,

  656. no devil, whinding God. That's the number one line. Okay.

  657. He goes to and fro, walking back and forth everywhere,

  658. he's treading his ground. Satan, wor's it? You go? What's it?

  659. Next to me? Come on? Follow me, next to me,

  660. follow me. Then the Lord say to Satan, have you

  661. considered my servant? Joke? I don't know. In the in

  662. the first serrace, I did this illustration where let's say,

  663. for example, we're praying for a breakthrough, be something you

  664. want to invest in the pickerball codler, okay, and you're

  665. about to get the deal, a very good deal, and

  666. you prayed to God, Oh God, I need my loan

  667. to be approve three thousand. Okay? Is it enough three million? Okay?

  668. So I need my three million loan to be approof. You,

  669. pray to God, God please come true for me. You

  670. can do bank officers, bank officers, one after the other, right,

  671. and then bank officers say, okay, let me process your

  672. your application. Hey, pray to God, God please approve my loan.

  673. I need to make this pickerball cat coun true or

  674. else I cannot put food on my table. Okay, access

  675. rating here? And then God hurt your prayer. Then when

  676. he hurt your prayer, Okay, my son down there needs

  677. three million dollars and he needs the loan to be approof. Okay,

  678. I hurt your prayers? Son, Satan, Have you ever considered

  679. my son down there on the earth? He needs three

  680. million dollars? But actually, I have you ever considered him?

  681. Have you ever considered him the none like him on

  682. this earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears

  683. God and shance evil. Have you ever considered him? I

  684. don't know what you will think if you hear God's

  685. hurt God say that I just pray to you for

  686. my breakthrough, and you're offering me up to the devil.

  687. Can you imagine me for one second? Now, everything that

  688. God does and allows, you'll say the twist truth. This

  689. is a testing, testing for joke. And if you know,

  690. fast forward right like how I give you my destiny earlier,

  691. I fast forward lah Or to the end of Joba.

  692. You know, everything that he lost he gained, he gained back.

  693. He gained back, double triple, he game back. He gained

  694. all back, the riches, the wealth, the blessing, the family,

  695. everything that he lost God restored, restored Joke because he

  696. passed the tests. But let's move on verse nine very quickly.

  697. So Satan answered the Lord and say, does Joke fear

  698. God for nothing? Then? Starting today, all right, verse I'm

  699. going to go on your worst, chelth. Have you not

  700. made a hite around him, around his household, and around

  701. all that he has on every side? You're blessed the

  702. work of his hands and his possession has increased in

  703. the land verse eleven. Verse eleven next to me. But

  704. now stretch your hand and touch all that he has,

  705. and he surely curse you to your face. So Satan

  706. is already he's already questioning God. You reach your hand,

  707. you touch him, he will curse you. No, you take

  708. away all the blessings that you give to him, he

  709. will curse you. Right next verse first, Chef and the

  710. Lord say to Satan, behold, all that he has is

  711. in your power. If you heard God say that about you,

  712. you're a shiver. I don't know whether you're a shiver

  713. or you give glory to God. All that he has

  714. is in your power. Only do not lay a hand

  715. on his person. Remember the verse that I read earlier,

  716. that God would not allow you to be dampted beyond

  717. what you can and deal murder verse That means God

  718. knew that the only thing that Job couldn't end all

  719. is death. Everything else Joke could endure it. So God

  720. told Satan everything that he has is in your power

  721. to prove Satan wrong. And no matter what you do

  722. to my son, Job, God knew in his heart. But

  723. Job didn't. Job didn't know the end story. Job had

  724. faith and that's why he was blameless. And I'm right.

  725. And if you know the story, it's one of the

  726. most sickening story I've ever read in the Bible. Sickening

  727. because when you really you go like, oh my goodness,

  728. how can this ever happen? To a man. Let me

  729. break it to you. He lost his family, he lost

  730. his health, he lost all the donkeys that he had

  731. or the sheep. He lost his house, He lost his identity,

  732. he lost his own con vidence, lore so much. His

  733. health was deteriorated to the point where his skin was

  734. I can't. I can go on. But if you read

  735. Job you'll know the struggles that he faced. Job one

  736. was filled with that, filled with that, and yet Job

  737. continued to trust God. Satan tried to send messengers to

  738. three best friends. They were supposed to support him, his

  739. wife that was supposed to be there for him, but no.

  740. One of his friends said, perhaps you have sinned against

  741. the lot? What have you done? Sometimes the devil will

  742. attack that part of you that if you're not keeping

  743. a close account, you will you will, you will keep

  744. on using past hrd past sin that God has already

  745. forgiven at the Cross, and it keep on eating you

  746. up your identity in Christ. Oh why because I'm dirty?

  747. Oh why because I'm not worthy? Oh why because I

  748. used to take drugs? Oh? Why because no? But because

  749. Jesus has defeated all of this on the cross. And

  750. we have to acknowledge that because if you do not

  751. acknowledge that, then we will keep on going in this

  752. cycle of your identity in Christ that is not found

  753. in Him. And you can listen to the twisting of

  754. the lies of the enemy that's just there to seek

  755. to steal and kill and destroy your entire life. That's

  756. what the enemy is after. So I pray that today.

  757. I pray James one tune to fall over all of you,

  758. he says, my brethren, Counting all joy, Counting all joy.

  759. When you fall into various trials, counting all joy and

  760. something in your life and that that that that that

  761. stumbling block comes in front of you, the moment something

  762. happens in you, your company, maybe you're losing money for

  763. whatever reason, count it all joy because when you lose

  764. money now and when you eventually gain it back because

  765. of your obedience in the Lord, and not just gain money,

  766. but gain a testimony that comes from their money, you're

  767. able to give glory to God. And that's the joy.

  768. Count it all joy because when you are chosen. Wow,

  769. can you imagine the perspective change. I go to trials

  770. because I'm chosen of the lot. I go through this

  771. failures because I'm chosen of the Lord. God chose you,

  772. have you considered my son Joe to undergo trials, to

  773. undergo testing. So don't run away from your trials. Don't

  774. run away from your testing, because if you can change

  775. your perspective, then when you go through testing in life,

  776. that means is that God toolls you. God chows you

  777. to be tested through fighting. And if you undergo enough

  778. of that fire, the fourth person in the fire will appear,

  779. and Jesus will appear like how he appeared upon shedered

  780. micheard and medical Amen. The fourth person is the fire

  781. that will allow you to undergo the testing and not

  782. allow you to go beyond what you can endure. In

  783. Job's case, that was his life, and so God said,

  784. do not touch anything. You can touch anything except for

  785. his life. You don't touch that satan. Satan's point is

  786. that if I touch, touch, touch, he will surely curse you.

  787. But you know Job, he didn't ye, John, Amen, he endured.

  788. So I want to pray that you counted all joy

  789. when you fall in the rays trials, knowing that the

  790. testing of your faith producers patience. But let patients have

  791. it's perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete

  792. lacking how can one person fall into various trials and

  793. yet lack nothing. Guys, that's the story of Job. Fall

  794. into trial so much, but yet at the end of

  795. the day he lacked nothing, and not just like nothing,

  796. he had so much more. And God wants so much

  797. more of your life. Elijah, when he was at his worst,

  798. he said, God, take my life before two trials. David,

  799. when he was filled with the guilt of what he

  800. did with Bethsheba, he said to the Lord, help me,

  801. help me, thank you, help me, and I want to

  802. pray over all of you. That is not shameful to

  803. actually go through a trial. It's not shameful to actually

  804. go through something negative like some some of us may

  805. lose our possessions, it's not shameful. Do not allow the

  806. lives of them because the lies on are is the

  807. shame and say that, hey, it's because of what you

  808. did that you deserve that. No, but the Word of

  809. God says that no amount of work that you do

  810. will deserve salvation because it is by grace, true faith

  811. that you are saving Christ Jesus Amen, not true your works,

  812. less anyone should boss not of your works. Therefore, if

  813. positive works will not lead to salvation. Negative works will

  814. not bring you death as well, because you are already

  815. condemned to death the moment man decided to sit. But

  816. because Jesus Christ has came and delivered and conquered death

  817. and took the key from hell, the key to eternal life. Amen. Amen.

  818. So God allowed Satan to test Job, but not destroy him.

  819. Job lost wealth, health, and family the moment of trial.

  820. Satan even send Job's friends like I mentioned earlier, and

  821. even his wife to twist the truth. Job didn't sit.

  822. And yet God allowed Satan's testing. Sometimes we may we

  823. may think of oh, because I sin, therefore God put

  824. me through this test. No, no, not necessarily. Sometimes when

  825. you sin, the Holy Spirit will convict you, because it

  826. is in the Lord's prayer, the daily, the Lord's pray

  827. that we should pray every day forgive us of our sins,

  828. as we forgive those who sin against us. It's the

  829. daily it's a daily prayer that we have to pray,

  830. that we have to learn to pray. Amen. But yet

  831. God allowed Satan. The test show lots of children, lots

  832. of wealth, lots of health, misunderstands, misunderstandings from friends, and

  833. even at a point in friends this is the this

  834. is the one I wanted to catch. There was silence

  835. from heaven. There was silence from God. How many of

  836. you will continue to press on running the race with

  837. ensurance even when God remained silent in your life? Yeah,

  838. God was silent the most for forty years. Silent maybe

  839. because poses disobeyed God and so he had to flee.

  840. And for forty years he was in the wilderness with

  841. jatro but in law tending to shape. After forty years,

  842. God's fake God may be silent in your life. Silence

  843. doesn't mean that God is not there. Silence just means

  844. that God is testing you and testing produced patience. Are

  845. you patient and a lot? Are you resting? And a lot?

  846. Are you waiting? Resting also means not to do nothing.

  847. But resting is to eagerly, earnestly wait. You know, even

  848. the creation, even the earth, even the plants, stay earnestly

  849. eagerly wait for the return of Jesus. Even the earth

  850. does that. Unanimated objects also do that. We can read

  851. that in I think it's in Romans. I pray that

  852. that's all desire, that we're earnestly for the return of Us,

  853. saying he meant he will come back. He will come back,

  854. and the days is drawing near. But we don't know

  855. the time or season, because only the Father and Heaven

  856. knows the time that Jesus will be back. But Jesus

  857. will be back in the name of Jesus. We know that.

  858. We know that. So let's eagerly awake. Awake. God is watching.

  859. Satan is twisting Job two nine. Job Job too nine says,

  860. curse God and die. Curse God and die. That's what

  861. Satan wants Job to do. The enemy wanted the job

  862. to abandon his faith and identify based on his circumstances,

  863. but yet Job stood firm. Later on, in Drop thirteen,

  864. he says, though he slay me, though he slay me,

  865. Drop thirteen fifteen, Though he slay me, yet I will

  866. trust him. Can you have that faith? Even if God

  867. slays you, you will still trust him. He reminds me

  868. of the faith that Abraham had. Even if you take

  869. my son, I will still trust you. Therefore, that's why

  870. Abraham appeared in Hebrews eleven, which many of us call

  871. the Hall of faith the hall of fame, but the

  872. hall of faith by faith. Abraham offered Isaac I'm going

  873. to give you some closing thoughts, and we're going to

  874. end the message for today. I want to encourage you

  875. to stay sober and to stay watchful. Friends, Stay sober

  876. and to stay watchful, because the enemy is constantly trying

  877. to twist the truth, and because the enemy doesn't want

  878. you to be free, he twists the truth. Because only

  879. the truth shall set you free. He meant, and the

  880. truth is the holy scriptures that Jesus has left behind

  881. for all of us. Satan often even uses scripture to

  882. twist the truth. When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness,

  883. Satan used scripture. Satan knows the Bible, but not in

  884. an intimate way. He knows it in an intellectual way.

  885. He's the Bible scholar of Bible scholars, but yet he

  886. doesn't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That's what

  887. we have. The Holy Spring minister to all of you.

  888. Stay sober, guys, stay sober, Stay sober, and stay watchful.

  889. Like the ten virgins, stay sober and stay watchful. Be

  890. the five that is sober enough to say, Hey, let

  891. us always have oil in our ms, let's keep it burning.

  892. It's not just a child song. Okay, all in my

  893. lambscape it burning. Yeah, I pray to that will be

  894. our prayer, that our lambs will always be filled with oil.

  895. Sober and watchful and not not when the when the

  896. Lord comes, and when you knock at the door and

  897. the Lord says I do not know you, Stay sober,

  898. stay watchful. Amen. First Peter five eight says, be sober,

  899. be vigilant because your adversary, the devil, walks about like

  900. a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. The enemy

  901. wants to devour you. I gave an analogy of the lion.

  902. You know. The lion can be the lion of Judah,

  903. that's God. But this line is different. This lion is

  904. just someone that is just there. It's either you stay

  905. sober and watchful and slay the lion with your bare

  906. hands like David did, or you stay not sober and

  907. not really vigilant, and the lion will devour you like

  908. a roaring lion. The enemy, that's all he wants to

  909. do in your life. He just wants to devour your hope,

  910. your future, your identity in Christ. But if you continue

  911. to stay sober and vigilant in the Lord, he will

  912. know who is and what is being said. Be sober

  913. because sometimes the words that may come in your way

  914. may sound like God. But the thing about God is this,

  915. God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever more. God

  916. doesn't changed his mind. God loves you. God send his

  917. son to die and across for you because he loved you.

  918. For God's so loved the world, he gave his one

  919. and only begone his son. And when God says that

  920. he loves the world, and Satan tries to whisper that

  921. he doesn't love you anymore, that's a lie. Because God

  922. is ever lasting and it's never changing. He never changes. Amen, Amen, you do.

  923. I have a next light about to close. I think

  924. it is the last one to give you some call

  925. to action. The first thing that I want to encourage

  926. you to do is discern the season you're in. Friends. Yeah,

  927. you may be a young teenager, camber student, maybe blooming

  928. young working adult about to enter into your first entrepreneurship ability.

  929. What season perhaps studying a new company, whatever you're maybe

  930. you're retired, maybe you're you know, at a place where

  931. you're waiting for what's next? Is it waiting? Is it testing?

  932. What is it? The season that you're in. The second

  933. thing that I want to encourage you is do not

  934. make permanent decisions based on temporary pressure. Yeah, you may

  935. be pressured to do something, but do not make a

  936. permanent decision based on the temporary pressure. Because what builds

  937. you is through the fire, melting in the fire, forming hardening.

  938. That's how the clay gets formed into a nice object, vessel,

  939. and we're all vessels for His glory. Amen. But in

  940. order for the clay to become a vessel, it needs

  941. to go through fire, not just once, but twice. You

  942. can read it, and Jeremiah, I did a study about

  943. this as well, not just once, but twice and for

  944. hours and hours and hours hours and hours through the heat.

  945. Don't allow temporary heat to affect permanent heat, because when

  946. you allow and make decisions based on the temporary heat

  947. and you go to a place where you are devoid

  948. of the presence of God, that's when you end up

  949. in the permanent heat, which is hell. And Hell basically

  950. is the place where God's presence is devoid of God's

  951. presence is not there. Do not make temporary decisions based

  952. on the nominations, based on temporary pressure. Amen. Finally, I

  953. want to encourage you to invite the Holy Spirit daily

  954. in your life.
