We hope this message will light up your tea. You're
-
listening to a message to go from X church. We
-
hope this message will light up your tea.
-
You know, how many of you like this nice little
-
food that I have on all this this thingy here
-
hit it x TVO the humble tofo? How many of
-
you like do fo? Yeah? I think a lot of
-
us like DOFO. Right, we like it. This is a
-
silken tofu, a very soft though fo nice to eat.
-
I love to steam it. And so I sauce and
-
fried onions? Are you hungry moms? All right? Or you
-
can do other things with it? Mash it up, scramble it.
-
He makes cramble eggs in place of eggs. You can
-
have scrambled tofu. And then look that's what it turns into. Yeah,
-
all right, maybe somebody's gonna have lunch there sesame oil,
-
so I sauce simple easy koto fool right, So but
-
you know, so food. But this is a soft of food,
-
silk and to foo it's very soft. Right, it breaks easily, agreed,
-
it can break easily. And but they say don't change
-
anything at but they say that if you freeze your tofu,
-
If you freeze your tofu, the structure changes. And and
-
then you take it out and you defrost it, you
-
will you use you see a lot of water, A
-
lot water will come out. You press it, all right,
-
and then when you cut it into half, you get
-
a picture like this frozen all right. There's a lot
-
of Now there are a lot of holes in it. Ah,
-
and you know what it can take. It absorbs a
-
lot more flavor, and you can ease or your oysto
-
sauce whatever, or when you stop, when you fry it,
-
it doesn't break so easily, or you throw it in
-
your soup, it doesn't. It really absorbs. It's quite nice.
-
And I tried it. I tried it, so you know
-
some some structure changes because your silken tofu. Now we
-
have firm tofu and we have soft tofu. Well, the
-
firm tofu is made in such a way where it's
-
already pressed out less water in it, so it's quite tough.
-
You can the firm tofo, you can fry la. You
-
can do so. But I'm just using the silken thofu
-
as our illustration today. The soft agg too fu it's
-
very soft. You know sometimes when when some you know,
-
like some guys, so some guys are like we love it,
-
like I'm gonna break ready. But you know, when you
-
freeze it, what happens is the inside of the tofu,
-
it's made of protein, so it's all these a lot
-
of water bubbles balloon type. And then when the ice
-
crystals form the ice crystals, who bursts the bubbles and
-
so later on, So it changes the structure, the protein structure.
-
There's a whole network of protein there. It changes the structure.
-
And then and then when you defrost it, those ice
-
crystals create those big holes there. Then you squeeze all
-
the water, and then when you cook it, those holes
-
become very you know, it absorbs and so all your
-
flavor can can be absorbed. And then when you're when
-
the the structure, it doesn't it doesn't change anything, but
-
physically it becomes a bit more firmer. And then you
-
can fry it. You can toss it. It won't it
-
won't break down. Okay, you you can. I wrote down,
-
I wrote down, I wrote somewhere. Then you can fry it.
-
You can stove fry it, you can grill it. You
-
know it can do hont or I can throw in
-
your soul. It won't break down because the soft of
-
food will start breaking out, but it remains quite sturdy
-
for that purpose. So it's it's it becomes a little
-
bit more tough, all right. It can take a little
-
bit more rough handling. That's after you you freeze your
-
tofu try anybody tried it before. So and if you
-
wanna keep your to fool longer because you don't know
-
when you're gonna cook it, throw it in the freezer
-
and then another day you can use it. So this
-
is why I do now. I buy all the to
-
foo sof and I throw it in the freezer or
-
hard to food, and then when I want it, I
-
always have to food. But I get this title a
-
whole hold hold, hold, hold, hold okay. So, and it
-
just changes a little bit of the structure, but it becomes,
-
you know, it results in not so delicate, a little
-
bit more resilient to handling, a bit harder handling. Physically,
-
it has changed because it has a lot more, a
-
little bit more structure and less water. All right, So
-
to fu so my message today to fu so, I
-
hope at least you go back and say what it
-
passes about tofu? That that might help you remember to fu.
-
All right, so I just want to share first. Moving on,
-
you can move on building a firm spirit of resilience. Amen.
-
We're living in a day where we're in. One of
-
the twenty first century skills if you're a teacher, if
-
you're a lecturer, or twenty first century skills is to
-
help students' children build resilience, agility and being able to adjust.
-
We find out the new generation are not very resilient,
-
they're not able to adjust and not very flexible. So
-
it's called twenty first century skill. But but who knows.
-
It could be the family upbringing, or maybe it's just
-
a whole generation. But anyways, doesn't matter. But you as
-
a believer, and I as your believe as a child
-
of God, we want to have a firm spirit of
-
resilience because life will throw at you some storms, right
-
some days. I don't know. Some people like lemon hear
-
what so you say, so what I get lemon? I
-
make lemon pie. I don't really like lemon pie. But
-
or how about lemonade? You know, put some sugar in it,
-
you get nice lemonade. I don't mind lemonade, and so
-
life chows us. You know, tough times, opportunities that are unfair,
-
and you know it's really difficult, but how do you
-
bounce back up? And it really is we need to
-
grow into this. We need to be have been through
-
something in order to be resilient, to stand and to
-
keep our faith especially and not only our faith. It
-
is our faith that helps us continue sometimes in the
-
tough times of our lives all kinds. I mean, imagine
-
the pandemic. So many people went through many, many challenges
-
and it was very difficult. But those who you know,
-
you know, just held on and believed and continue to
-
push forward. The resilience helps them to stay just stay strong,
-
stay focused, and not you know, go left and right. Okay,
-
they're doing some change here right now. Good morning everybody. Okay. So,
-
so I just wanted to use the DOFU as an
-
example of not being so in you know, so soft
-
and breakable, but a bit more tough. We need to
-
have some tough, tough spirit in us to go through
-
some of the tough times in our lives. Imm and
-
and how do we do that. There's so much in
-
scripture that helps us to grasp this and one of it,
-
which we will see also again in my points. But
-
do you remember Matthew Chapter twenty Matthew chapter seven, verse
-
so I took the I wrote wrong least twenty four
-
to twenty five. Matthew Chapter seven, verse twenty four to
-
twenty five is about the man that built his house
-
on the or on the sand. All right, don't build
-
your house on the sandy, shure right, just build it
-
on the rock. Don't build it on the sand. But
-
what do you mean by all this? I've read it again,
-
and you know the point that Jesus was saying here
-
was this, all right, Matthew seven twenty four to twenty five?
-
Is this he said? Jesus says, Therefore, whoever hears the
-
sayings of mine and you do them or does them,
-
I will liken him to be a wise man who
-
built his house on the rock, all right, not on tofu,
-
but on the rock, all right, something that is stable.
-
And that's where the building the house on the rock.
-
So I feel, and I believe very much that as
-
we want to, you know, have that resilience, have the
-
spirit of resilience, no matter what the circumstances, we need
-
to have a firm foundation, and part of that is
-
in AUTOFU. All right, Okay, so we hear God's word.
-
We read God's word. But if you just leave it
-
at that, it doesn't get into your system, then it
-
won't do anything. It doesn't help you. But if you
-
read God's word, you hear God's word, and then you
-
do it, you do it, you practice it. Okay, you
-
practic gun. There, you get on with it. You practice it,
-
then your spiritual muscles will be built. Then your spirit
-
man will be built, so that times will times of
-
challenge will come. I don't think anyone here has not
-
had a challenging time at all. It can come in
-
different forms. The loss of a loved one is not easy.
-
The loss of a job in when when things are
-
not sure, when you know our economy, or I hear
-
quite a few people whose jobs are affected or they
-
are impacted because restructuring, many multinationals, change of you know,
-
where you're working here, moving you to another city, another state.
-
Family circumstances and illness is you know, it can happen,
-
and we can't say, oh, it'll never happen to me.
-
It things happen in life. But how do we stand
-
firm and how do we overcome? More importantly, the all
-
beloved of the Lord here is to overcome uh. And
-
that's why we come to churches in it every weekend.
-
We share, we encourage one another through our testimonies, We hear,
-
we teach, we learn, we practice, And I'm always encouraged
-
by how different people here, different brand sisters, you have
-
gone through really really difficult times, and how you've pulled
-
through even though it was so so difficult, so challenging,
-
but you've pulled through and man, and by that grace
-
that you have experienced, so you're experiencing build those muscles.
-
It's not by sitting there and doing nothing that build
-
those muscles. People in business, Wow, I think you're very brave,
-
encourageous when you own your own business. When you get
-
in you know, I don't know how to do business. Love,
-
I cannot my husband try to do business like open
-
cafe and I'm a cafe owner before terrible. How are you?
-
We're giving things free every time, all our all our food.
-
We were way ahead of our time. This was in
-
the early nineties. We were way ahead at times. Today
-
you are paying top money for some food in this
-
place called that guy bends Bends bends Ben's he has
-
a he has a well, his mom opened a shop
-
called Miss Reed selling clothes, and then they used to
-
have a they used to have a cafe. And then
-
I went there. Not this back in the nineties. We're
-
not even living in the nineties anymore. So I went
-
to look at their food and they were selling shepherd
-
spi and it's selling cupcakes. And then I look at
-
the pregnant Oh my word, I should be charging that,
-
you know, I'm like gus. Our shop was just opposite
-
Taylor's College s S fifteen, all students, but we were
-
way ahead at time. Nobody knew how to eat shepherd Spy.
-
Some people knew, and we had carrot cupcake top seller
-
shepherd Spy, butge cake, you know, and it did really
-
well when we sold it in Mount Cara. Mount Cara,
-
we had had a bazaar and we would an elder
-
Kenya and Pasta would drive and sell all my goodies there.
-
It would get sold of caiche all of that would
-
be sold and did very well, but not where the
-
students were. We opened a youth center, but I had
-
a cafe and and you know when when this guy
-
Ben opened and did his business. Of course they yeah,
-
we did know that those days, got all those one
-
you got. Investors are investors who want to investing. No
-
body law, nobody want to investor. No, no, Look also
-
uh those investors, right, So I said, you know, charging
-
so much, I should charge the same because I'm also
-
selling you know that sort of thing. And but like
-
I said, when you do business, you take challenges. But
-
we weren't doing for the business. We went in for
-
the ministry to have something for the young people. So
-
I always say, heads off to all business owners. You're
-
really taking a big step. But there are challenges and
-
I'm part of that. I've experienced that as well. And
-
so you need to have some sort some you know, routing,
-
some foundation of being resilient to go through a lot
-
oft heard heart stuff to be the prime minister of
-
a nation. If if anybody wants to be premister, So
-
don't sit us, don't let us sit here and say
-
how bad our primari say you want to be a
-
prime minister. I tell you nobody. No. Half people like you,
-
half people don't like you. Want a challenge. I don't
-
want to be prime minister. Sudadly you're here, you're passing
-
by someone saying you know you are. Restorry is so
-
strong in your spirit not to take any of these words,
-
because you know that you're in this position to do
-
the best that you are. You know, so wherever positions
-
you are, you need to be strong your foundations. You
-
need to have some form of foundation. We want to
-
give that foundation to all our young people, to all
-
our adults, because life ain't going to be roses. You
-
know better, roses got thorns. Yeah, I don't know. Life
-
won't be ice cream. Or maybe life won't be to fool.
-
You need a tall. You need to freeze your to food.
-
Freeze and then tall. All those stop having so many
-
bubbles in your life. Loud, balk them, break them so
-
that you change your structure. Don't be so very fairy Albert.
-
You know, just you gotta build those muscles, building building, okay,
-
and build those future muscles so that you you no
-
matter how many times you get hit down, you come
-
back up again and you just say, hit me one
-
more time, I'm still gonna stand. I'm still standing only
-
by the grace of God. And so the only way
-
we can is is the investment of building on the rock.
-
Jesus is our rock. And this rock, you know, we
-
we have this word. Sometimes out of everything we forget,
-
we're busy, but suddenly, because you've been putting the word
-
of God in, he will remind you, Hey, remember, I'll
-
never leave you no for sake, Hey remember, And that's
-
what keeps us going. Amen. In times of illness, whether
-
you are the one facing the illness or whether a
-
family member, you have to, you know, press in because
-
it's not easy being a caregiver. Anyone here who has
-
ever taken care of someone who's not well, it's not easy.
-
I've gone through, my husband's gone through, if taken care
-
of our own parents. We've done everything that we need
-
to do. Never easy. In fact, the parents are feeling like,
-
you're so sorry to trouble You're so sorry to trouble you.
-
But we take care. And it's a tough time to
-
walk through a journey like that. But then it is
-
the resilience that is within us to say no, we
-
will carry on. We will keep believing, we will keep
-
trusting God for strength to go through this time. But
-
how do we find that? We find that by building in,
-
building in our spirit. Man, Amen, and you know I
-
didn't put this up, but the other story that comes
-
to me is in First Samuel Check thirty. You've heard
-
this before. I just want to bring a reminder to
-
you because I hear people say, you know, I've been
-
going through this situation and I feel alone. Even when
-
you take your exams? Are you alone? Your mom is
-
not holding your hand right now, I is your home leader,
-
not holding your hand, but I'll be praying for you.
-
But you are there. You are the one person going
-
through it. And when you go through things, you are
-
quite alone. When you're not well, you are sitting in
-
the bed alone. Yeah, I. And so if we are
-
trying to blame anyone or to just make an excuse
-
of why it was tough and I didn't know, and
-
did you even voise it out to tell someone that
-
you needed help, that you wanted some support, or you
-
want to be manja, you need to tell me laugh
-
because then I a'l manja you okay? Ah? I When
-
I when I had the miscarriage many many years ago,
-
our church was so young, was so small. We were
-
only a few people, and I couldn't tell many people.
-
And my husband was the pastor of the church. He
-
had to leave me on Saturday. I had a miscarriage.
-
On Sunday, he went out to church. On Monday we
-
left for Philippines to plant a church. Was I alone?
-
Nobody felt my pain but I did only I would
-
feel the pain. But that's what I did. Lost the
-
baby on Saturday. Sunday was alone at home, husband had
-
to preach. Monday, we flew to Philippines to plant a church.
-
So you can complain all you want, friends and say
-
how alone you are, but you are going to be
-
facing it yourself. The only difference is where is that
-
resilient spirit Jesus is with you? Serious? Our church was
-
so small and there were no mom in the church.
-
I was the only mom. So if my other friend
-
Joyce Wong, which I told Joyce, and Joyce called me.
-
Albert heard about it. First guy to text me, spassa,
-
how are you? Nobody else text me my girls weren't
-
even alive. I don't know where they were. But yeah,
-
Sometimes sometimes we don't know how to show compassion. Sometimes
-
we don't know how to feel for people. But we
-
can learn when we go through it ourselves. A church
-
gets better at caring for each other. Sometimes we don't
-
know what to say when someone's going through a divorce,
-
someone lost their baby, someone lost their child, lost their
-
love one. And then we can't respond because we just
-
don't know. But we can learn when we ourselves go
-
through it. I'm much better and much more compassionate when
-
someone loses their parent because I had to go through it.
-
But before that I couldn't fully grasp it. But now
-
I'm better. I'm better, and we learn, We learn, and
-
there are people here that are just super kind, super caring.
-
You you just know how to respond that some of
-
us just don't know. Blur all right, just oh yoh,
-
all right, oh someone's having an exam, you know, sending
-
a prayer for them. And it's not that we we
-
don't care. We care, but we just weren't aware. But
-
when you go through things in your life, it builds
-
you up, but it also gives you a little more
-
second portion so that you can give someone else. Amen.
-
And you know when in First Samuel, chapter thirty, King David,
-
remember King David, he was not yet king yet, he
-
was running away from Saul. And then they made Ziglag
-
their their their campsite, left Okay, the city they took
-
over Ziglag and then you know, and then the Amalekites
-
while they were away came. Okay, the Amalekites, the enemies
-
came and burned down Ziglag and took their wives, took
-
their children, took all their sheep, took everything, just destroyed
-
the whole township, the whole city. And when they came back,
-
David and his six hundred, six hundred men came back
-
to nothing. Have you come back to nothing? I just
-
heard on my classmate last night. She Chinese New Year
-
this year, she was away. She came home to a
-
burned down house because they were playing fireworks and the
-
fireworks burnt, which is her father in laws house. They
-
burned the house down, so the whole house was burned down.
-
You came back to nothing? Have you come back to that?
-
I've never so I cannot understand, but I can feel
-
the pain. So zickleg was what happened for David lost everything,
-
not just lose the land, never mind, you know, lose wife, children,
-
six hundred men came back after you know, fighting and
-
came back to nothing. WHOA. They were about to stone
-
David because this was their leader, and you said, you're
-
gonna lead us in the victory, and now look at that,
-
we've got nothing. They were about to kill him. Take
-
him down to Chinatown they didn't have Chinatown. Then take
-
him down to Jerusalem Town. Okay, but David, what did
-
he do? He could have I think some of us
-
could have just given up and say, okay, I just
-
killed me. What do I do now? Because the melanchies
-
were maybe larger than them, They're only had six hundred
-
men with him. And he said in the verse here
-
in our First Samuel, chapter thirty and verse six, he says,
-
here David was greatly distressed for the people spoke of
-
stoning him, because the soul of the people was grieved,
-
and every man for his sons and his daughters, they
-
were so grieved they lost their family. But David, this
-
is not an easy thing to do when you're on
-
your own, when you're alone, going to your thing. He
-
strengthened himself in the Lord's God. Sometimes we are placing
-
a place where alone, but when where does our help
-
come from? David strengthen himself in the Lord. This is
-
like that thought going into frozen put in the freezer,
-
being wool. You know your structure is being changed because
-
you're going through this tough time. What I know, I'm
-
so soft like a tofu now. But as you get
-
into that storm, into that freezer, you start to build
-
some structure. Right, So all our air holes, air bubbles,
-
bar balloons began to be burst as the ice crystals
-
began to break out, the structures and the fat. Yeah,
-
I became holy, all right, all right, hole many holes.
-
I showed you the picture, right, many many holes. Moms
-
and dads in the house here, young adults, families, Your
-
children learn from you, but trying to save them from
-
every paint are your pudding cup? Come on, some times
-
our children need to learn a fall. The reality is
-
life is tough and life is not always fair. Your parents,
-
you as parents, cannot always protect your children because if not,
-
they will become twenty five year olds or twenty years
-
old who have no structure, no understanding of tough times,
-
because you keep protecting them. Even in our spiritual walk,
-
God doesn't come. He's there with you. He told you,
-
how do I I've been just studying the Book of
-
Joshua and judges. He said, go go and conquer I
-
am with you. But they said, no, Lord cannot. The
-
people are more than Earthy got iron chariots. We got
-
nothing but the lords. I will be with you, and
-
he already shown into other tribes. But the majority of
-
the tribes did not want to cast out or chase
-
away all the Canaan knights that were left. That's why
-
until today they got problems because they didn't want to
-
take them down to Chinatown. So we say we can't,
-
But the Lord is saying, I'm with you. I'm with you.
-
But you got to take your step forward. You got
-
to just face your fears again, telling the story of
-
my lizard stories. I'm scared of sor the lizard could glee,
-
you know, lippers or slippers, roches, roches, I can't handle.
-
I can't handle then rogers. But listener, it's gully, you know.
-
But then if that is my house, right you know that?
-
And some people say, first just leave it, you'll eat
-
up all the insects in your house. I don't care.
-
I don't. I can have the insects, but I will
-
not have the lizards. Cannot. But I'm scared. So but
-
then I had to face my fears. I had to
-
be resilient. I had to be a tough tofu and
-
I had to take them down. I can tell you.
-
You can come to my house. You will not see
-
a listen it happily playing behind my photo or the
-
album on your picture frame. I saw that and a
-
few houses. I want to catch it for you. I
-
was in Nepal and the whole just listens behind the
-
picture frame. Not my house, kid, But I to face
-
my fears. I'm still scared anything, but I have to
-
face it because the losses. I'm with you. You you
-
you overcome the listen. I'm with you, and I'll give
-
it to your hands. And true enough, I'll kill them all.
-
And I tell them I told you, I told you.
-
Right you step into my house, you die, You will
-
surely die. I put traveler, I put all kinds of
-
things because it just dirty. Is the house is full
-
of patches, right, and it goes and crawl over your things.
-
I cannot. So I to face my fears. And now
-
I still get so if I seals there. I told
-
my my homies, I need a water gun now because
-
I didn't do one fellow hanging around my house. I
-
took the water shot. Even he did not know what
-
hit him. WHOA right it was in my potch because
-
my porch poo. Everybody cannot take it, so he didn't
-
see me. I to my water boom boom. He wan
-
like I here. The enemy cannot take over your life
-
in the spirit and in the natural. I want you
-
to kill your enemy. I didn't kill the fellawl. He
-
just got slept with a water gun. No poop pom
-
the big one. No wow, the face like you didn't
-
know what hit him at all. I also didn't know
-
what he like. Whoa power woo? Yeah enough gun yeah.
-
But the water gun was just amazing. And after that
-
peace No listens in my pouch under the day homes.
-
I saw it another one and then I tried the
-
water gun not working. I need a water gun, babes,
-
get me one. So resilience, all right, you gotta face
-
your challenges, your tough times. It's tough. You are alone
-
in it, don't I want to say to us, when
-
you've got strong foundation, you don't you stop complaining, You
-
just say thank you Lord, you're with me. I want
-
you to be able to say it's tough, but Lord
-
you're with me. I'm not alone, but I will go
-
through it. With the grace of God. There will be
-
brothers and sisters who will come around you. Don't you worry.
-
There will be that one thinking kind of partner who
-
think about you, and they'll come. And I had different
-
people coming. But you will walk on this road, the
-
valley of the show shadow of death. It's a shadow.
-
You just keep walking, keep your eyes on Jesus Amen.
-
So Uncle David had to strengthen himself even though six
-
hundred men said we're gonna kill you, boy, we're gonna
-
get you. But he prayed and he had to find
-
strength in the Lord. And sometimes you're going into your
-
quiet time, going into just away. Remember I spoke two
-
weeks ago. You need to have that time when you
-
come away and you abide in the Lord and you
-
just keep at his feet and abide because that's when
-
the peace of God and the assurance. And David was
-
assured the Lord is with him. To pursue his enemies. Yeah,
-
he had to pursue his enemies. Guys, you have to
-
pursue your enemies to take back what belongs to you.
-
You let the devil sit on your head and tell
-
you this report. That report. You say, hahuh, you defeated.
-
I want to take back my health, take back my beloved,
-
take back things that you know you keep giving me accidents,
-
and you got to stop for a moment. Pray, Lord,
-
this is mine, this is my family, this is and
-
you pray and then you say, Lord, you help me
-
that resilience to say I won't just give up. Sometimes
-
we do give up, and at times I don't know
-
what to do. Nikot sends you the Holy Spirit. Sometimes
-
he sends your brand sisters in Christ to help you
-
and encourage you. You're so thankful for that, Amen, just
-
as how you are encouraging us, my husband, myself at
-
this time of need. Thank you again for your gifts,
-
for your love, for your text, for your messages, for
-
your food. It's a lot of food, praise, Thank you, hallelujah.
-
And but how do we get there? You got to
-
build on the rock, hear God's word. Do it here
-
so you don't need to run to a million conventions
-
and conferences in seminars to learn how to worship, to
-
learn how to read the word, read it. I'm gonna
-
just start reading it. Getting busy with conferences and con
-
conventions doesn't get you anywhere because you're just receiving, but
-
you ain't doing it. You got to do it. Amen,
-
So to fool for you today. Number T TEA. Tough
-
times don't last, tough people do. Amen. Are there some
-
tough people in the house? Come on, all right, you've
-
got a tough time. I got some tough times. But
-
tough times will not last. This too will pass. Tough
-
people will last. Tough people always last. A serious times
-
are tough. I tell you my story, not my personal story,
-
but the refugees that come into the lend from a
-
particular country. I won't tell you where we are helping them,
-
but I'm like, why do you even leave your country?
-
You don't even have a job here. Why do you
-
even leave? I just want to leave because he's tough
-
and thinking, Okay, I can't help you forever. I can't
-
hand out money to you all the time. I mean,
-
I buy grocer We do groceries for them, feed your job.
-
I can't do more than it. These people have tough lives, right,
-
but those times will pass. They're still there. I don't
-
know they're still there. They gonna go to uncr they
-
gotta get their papers because he's still there. The times
-
are tough. So if you're if you have a tough time,
-
right Now, if you, if you and I have a
-
perspective of life, then you go, I'm not that bad.
-
When I was in Nepal, the people, the children that
-
were ministering, they were children, but then they were children
-
at risk. At seven and eight they were sold as
-
sex slaves. Today they are sixteen. Today they're eighteen. They're smiling.
-
Jesus came into their life. The organization saved them from
-
the borders. You don't even know who's living with HIV.
-
The attention they want, the love, the hugs, sometimes just
-
being there just to hug them because there's no mom
-
and dad. Sometimes the little children in the streets. I'm
-
just seeing them at ten pm and I they this
-
hair method and everything. They're still running in the streets.
-
It means your child if you think of Ava, that's
-
the age they're running alone with no home. If we
-
have a perspective, then maybe we won't compare so much
-
and think about hey, in life is tough, but some
-
people have even worse. So what is got one thing
-
to do for me? Now? Where is my help? So
-
I encourage you tough times will come. Really job career
-
studies and you're thinking this is like, oh crap, men
-
so hard relationship are you cannot find us tough or
-
bro At least you have a single life and a job,
-
can still go diving. And you know, I know, you
-
just don't have a man, that's it. But you have
-
the man of men. Jesus, the rock, solid as a rock,
-
the best rock. Yeah it's not that guy, right, the
-
rock forget his name, but Wain Johnson, he ain't as
-
rock as Jesus is a rock. I know, I know.
-
Sometimes we can't see God. That's why we easily give
-
up someone and say we are to each other Jesus
-
with skin on to encourage one another tough times. What happened?
-
So I look to the Lord. Someone to one, someone
-
to one, and verse one to two, someone to one,
-
verse one to two says to us, I will lift
-
up my eyes to the heels, for when comes my help?
-
My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.
-
Amen In in averse three says he will allow your
-
foot to be moved. He keeps you. He who keeps
-
you won't slumber, and he keeps Israel. He never slumbers,
-
no sleep. But where does my help come from? I
-
look up to the hills. I'm thinking where does my
-
health the mountains look majestic. Where does my help come from?
-
It says, my help comes from the Lord who made
-
heaven and earth. The Lord helps us in our time
-
of need. Amen. First cor Indians fifteen you can write
-
it down. First cor Indians fifteen fifty seven says the
-
Lord will come and he is our help. He will
-
come and save us. But you need to be patient
-
in that timing that he will move those tough pro networks,
-
the structures that just won't let you move, But then
-
slowly the doors will open. Tough times don't last because
-
your eyes are on the lot. Amen. Tough people are
-
made tough because of their circumstances. So if the eight
-
year old was sold as a sex slave, she's eighteen nineteen.
-
Now she's a tough chick. The men have abused her.
-
Sometimes they're just not out for the sex right, they're
-
just burning them with a cigarette. So I told the
-
men in the house, I said, a need user, that's
-
such a bad way, by saying, if you just keep
-
your baby to yourself and stop poking around every girl,
-
then maybe there's some hope for your country. Stop having
-
pre marital sex just because you can't help yourself. This
-
nation needs you. We need resilient people. We need people
-
to you know, know how to go through tough times,
-
save your country by being responsible men. I told them
-
it is tough times. Economy is tough for the pout,
-
A lot of things are tough. But I think that
-
people are even tougher. They're even tougher because I'm talking
-
to an eighteen year old who are half a life
-
has already been abused. But praise me to God for
-
always somebody rises to the call. And a German Man
-
came and saw this, and he started at home and
-
has been running for twenty over years that. One by one, slowly, slowly,
-
every we've been taking these children out from the streets.
-
They have a perspective and raise our children, raise ourselves.
-
Have you a perspective. It's not as bad as it looks.
-
It is bad, it is tough. We are going through
-
a lot of hardship. But I want to ask you,
-
look to the hills, or where is it from the hills. No,
-
look to the Lord. Where does your help come from?
-
The Lord is your strength. He builds you spiritual muscles,
-
He builds you tough. We got to have a perspective
-
of the very purpose of our lives, the very you
-
know why we are alive, and the the damage we
-
can do to the kingdom of hell. Because God is
-
on your side. And it's like children like these that
-
people do such work. Why do we go out and
-
plunge it just not just because I want to be
-
in the City's because many lives are lost. They need Christ.
-
Tough tough. It's tough to do some work, but tough
-
times will pass. Tough people remain because the Lord is
-
the help. The Lord never sleeps nor slumber. His help
-
will come to you. Amen. Oh, time is running out.
-
Oh not for Oprah. All stands for we are more
-
than overcomers. We are more than conquresus the songs that
-
we sing, the verse that you know Romans eight thirty seven. Goddess,
-
he says we are more than conquerors or other word
-
for that, more than overcomers Romans eight thirty seven. We
-
have been made more than congress through Christ Jesus. Amen. Amen,
-
how many conquerors in the house? Amen? Yes, In all
-
the persecution, in all your tough times, in your business,
-
in your family, your marriage, you're raising children, all that's
-
tough in your country wherever. But he says, in all
-
these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who
-
loved us. Through Him, we are conquerors. We are overcomers. Amen. Oh.
-
In the tofu is not soft and breaking down. It's
-
all and overcomers. Much. We're gonna be tough times, but
-
you can overcome through Him who loves you. Amen. You
-
cannot think about what other people are saying. You got
-
to think about God is saying about you. Amen, and
-
look to Him for your every need. Amen. The f
-
is the foundation, Amen, the foundation in Christ alone. Ask
-
us ask ourselves where is my foundation? Is my foundation
-
in a family name? Maybe you come from a heritage
-
of a family that's very strong, very well off, or
-
you know, I don't know. Some people come my great
-
great great great grandfather is the who whoo who oh?
-
Then is that your foundation? Is that how you're strong? No,
-
your foundation is in Christ because in First Corinthians three
-
eleven it's beautifully rode. The only foundation is Christ Jesus. Amen.
-
Has no other foundation. Can anyone lay than that which
-
is already late in Jesus Christ. Amen, that's your foundation.
-
Whatever you're going through, friends, the foundation is in Christ.
-
So when you say I feel alone, I'm a lonely
-
to fool. No, your foundation is in Christ, amen, It's strengthen,
-
it's strong in ladies life down. He conquered death, he
-
conquered sin, he rose again. He gave us the victory.
-
So it's actually saying you are the victorious one. So
-
in our circumstances, sometimes I've got a sometime just sit
-
back and say, I know it's tough. It's tough to
-
face this person. It's tough to face this situation. Oh
-
my country is so difficult. But I'm here and God
-
is with me. Amen, it doesn't you see it's not
-
see we have got on our side. That is your
-
extra strength. That's your double portion. What is a double portion?
-
One portion for you and one portion to help somebody else?
-
Say it with a double portion anointing on Elisha right,
-
one portion for you, but you need the extra for
-
the other to help someone else. You never give up.
-
Your foundation is in Christ alone, Amen, We got to
-
push forward. Harleelujah. I don't know I mean this. I
-
was just reading. I've just heard about testimony of a
-
particular African lady. She's probably in the sixty seventies now,
-
but she's the one who discovered another form of help
-
therapy for cancer. I think it's called nano using nanotechnology,
-
photo photo something. What was it called photo dynamic theraty
-
therapy PDT. It doesn't work. It's not fully research fully
-
baby help, but it targets the cells and so I
-
cannot go into technical terms. But this lady was the
-
was was. She was from South Africa. At the time
-
of the appetite, there was no education for girls. But
-
she did everything the boys did. She took care of sheep,
-
she had a farm, she had to do all of that.
-
She did everything, climb trees, did everything. And then why
-
can't I study science? Because girls weren't allowed to have
-
an education. So her family moved to Lesotho and there
-
she had an education. Then she went on to Canada
-
and now she's one of those many many accolades, one
-
of those doing research and raising new scientists. She could
-
have stayed on in Canada, but she said no, I
-
want to go back to South Africa to help my
-
nation and to raise new scientists. You don't ever give up.
-
She's not doing a Christian thing or whatever, but it's helping,
-
not only because of the sickness, but to have you know,
-
to know that there is a foundering. Why do I
-
even come back because I want to help my nation
-
and to build people. When you go through tough times,
-
where's your foundation? Why do you why do you keep standing?
-
Because the foundations in Christ and your faith is going
-
to encourage another person's faith and another person's faith. What's
-
your foundation? What's your what's your purpose? And why you
-
want to do what you do? You need to know
-
what are you rooted down to? Which is Christ? Amen?
-
The f is foundation for your toufu And it's only
-
Christ alone that you will stand strong. Amen. It's not
-
just for today, friends, there will be great tribulations in
-
days to come. My homies talked about it on our
-
free homes Day past the Howard the next time, next time,
-
mister Sharon with us say, we just have to make
-
sure we stay on the Word, read the Bible, remain
-
in the Lord founding. You know that they said a
-
lot of things we need to do in our practice
-
of our faith. But the reason why we build now
-
is to build strong foundations so that when tough times come,
-
tough people will last in your faith to know how
-
to stand against what is anti of Christ. And even
-
though it's very, very tough, you will say, no, I
-
still believe in God, even if your life may have
-
to be laid down. I don't know. I'm not saying
-
because I'm so brave, but I think together we can
-
be brave sometimes together. Right. But the foundation is Christ,
-
the Tofu foundations and so have been the structure change
-
of Middler because all those testings came up. Widen up
-
and give book all the balloon. All the balloons do
-
so not so eryla have some structure. So, guys, your
-
structure is in Christ, the structure of the cross. You
-
went to the cross for us, we carry our cross.
-
This is our foundation. Amen, we become. That's how it
-
makes us resilient. Lastly, the you in the Tofu to
-
have an unwavering faith in Christ. Do not waver. Do
-
not waver. If God be God, then worship him if
-
you think bal That's what Elijah said in First King's eighteen.
-
If God be God, then worship the Lord. But if
-
you think the world is your God, then you worship.
-
Don't have your feet in two boats for the men,
-
you cannot celebrate Father's Day. You have to have your
-
legs in one boat, not in two boats. Amen. Right, No, amens,
-
everybody required today, come on, we have to have an
-
unwavering faith in Christ. Unwavering despite the storms, despite what
-
is tough. I'm scared. Everything's scared, very Hardllah. We cannot
-
be scared, get scared. You just face your fears in Christ.
-
You take down the enemy and the voices that tell
-
you you can't or that it's tough, or it won't happen,
-
or this, or that you face it. By the grace
-
of God. You're unwavering faith in Hebrews chapter twelve, verse two,
-
looking and as you read the whole of Hebrews twelve one, two,
-
three four, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of
-
your faith, run your race, Amen, looking unto Jesus. If
-
you look at your friend, you might get discouraged because
-
you get comparison. If you look at the world, you
-
don't know. Alma am I following. Is it true? Is
-
it true? Are you? Maybe it's not a You look everywhere,
-
but where's your eyes? Your eye's got to be on Christ.
-
Just have to see the cross before you, the world
-
behind you, the cross. Are you going to tough times?
-
Is it unfair. Is it just too difficult? I want
-
to say, have an unwavering faith anchored in Christ, so
-
that your tofu won faulf amen. Yeah, So you remember
-
when you're going through your field, am I a dopo
-
or am I a firm dofu? You are a firm
-
to fu. Okay, you are affirm dorfu. There has been
-
pressed down, shaken together and you are now running over
-
the grace of God because you have to press all
-
this ie to come out and all the water. You know,
-
the press, press, press until all you have is this
-
protein that's going to be healthy for you. So our
-
unwavering faith in Christ. When when we start to waiver
-
sometimes again, I know there are days you're going to
-
be alone. How you make those decisions as a young person,
-
as a grandparent, as a parent, as a young adult,
-
as a young family, how do you unwaveringly make decisions
-
to lead your family is by looking unto Jesus and
-
not to what your neighbor or this friend or that
-
successful person is doing. Success it's not rated by on
-
how many houses you have, how much money you have
-
in the bank, because all of that you cannot take
-
to the grave. Your eternity is in Christ. You can
-
have no more chungy looking girlfriend and the most chungy
-
looking hulk of a man, haunk of a man, or
-
help a bully hunk. But you're still putting your eyes
-
on a flesh that will forsake you. So the first point,
-
first part of call is Jesus. When you have him
-
on that first point of call, your pot of call,
-
you anchor into him. Then slowly we begin to develop
-
our resilience from getting a small cut and crying boohoo,
-
to okay, it's just the cut right now. I cut
-
my hand all the time. Marsin says, you're terrible. I know.
-
I was cutting the potato and then a knife was
-
really sharp. So go lot of cuts. We're careful sometimes,
-
but at first he's like and they're now like, what's there?
-
Like like rainbow rainbow cut down only right long? You
-
cut your finger? Me done? You just carry on cooking. Ooh,
-
blood and all the sellad tomato sauce to moto sauce. No, no,
-
no bandage, you know. So I think we build slowly,
-
a little bit by a little bit. Then another day
-
will be dealing with a difficult boss. I had difficult bosses.
-
I know it's in my face. You don't like my face?
-
What was it like?
-
But you deal with did like instead of leaving the company.
-
You just get through it, get through it until when
-
you do leave, they go like best stuff you're not
-
like met from me and the best stuff come ot work. No,
-
thank you got better things ahead, right you? You take
-
that next we see the next resilience All of us
-
will have that. I'm sure sure one have. You just
-
have to overcome. You tell yourself just just five more minutes.
-
You just push to, Oh, I only got thirty minutes.
-
Never push to I got a dinner to go, Yeah,
-
thirty minutes. Why can I wepp in thirty minutes? I
-
can't do anything. No, you just push through. Something will
-
turn out. But your your spirit line. You need to
-
build strong spiritual muscles, spiritual muscles that will just push
-
you through by the grace of God Holy spit, just
-
building you. And then you say I can I can't.
-
I'll keep going. I'll keep going. Don't give out and
-
sis sit there and say there's nothing I can do.
-
You can do something. You've got five minutes to study
-
your your your lesson before you take exam. Take the
-
five minutes, swallow all the things that you can read
-
in five minutes. I tell you what that could be,
-
the very question that's going to come up. I'm telling you.
-
I'm telling you no joke, no joke, ah to fool, right, yeah,
-
I don't want to be a silken toolefood it looks
-
very pretty, or you your heart and firm tofu not
-
very pretty. You've seen it, right, those kind of firm
-
to food the e pretty and not still given sil
-
can to are you pally young the mainly? Then the
-
firm to fula right, you're like, but then that's where
-
you can fry it. You can really you can make
-
chips with it. You can do it and not just
-
a smoothie. I don't just want a smoothie. I want
-
some tooful okay, in place of other proteins animal protein.
-
So you you you saying God, I want to grow
-
strong and build muscles. This is this is your bearing
-
fruit moment. Two weeks ago my message, this is your
-
bearing fruit moment. You're building those fruits, You're building those muscles. Amen,
-
come on tofo tough times will come tough people. Why
-
you are hiding and hidden in Christ you are more
-
than an overcomer. You must believe that things will happen.
-
You go through a storm, but you you just hold on,
-
You grit your teeth and you say, I'll get through this.
-
By the grace of God, a door will open. If
-
it takes a year, it takes two years, I will
-
get through it. All of us have been I'm not
-
in your place. I don't know what hard times you
-
went through before. It wouldn't be fair to say, oh,
-
it's easy. I don't think it was easy when you
-
went through your heart challenge. Business owners raising family, raising
-
one child or eight children, they are still the same.
-
It's a lot of work. Yeah, I just meant I
-
just heard somebody who raise eight children. I'm like, well,
-
my own friend has nine children. Oh my word, how
-
did you do it? But yeah, tough people just have
-
to get tough enough and just do what you have
-
to do by the grace of God. By the grace
-
of God. Amen. And you don't be tough for yourself
-
because you were passed down the good lessons to your
-
next generation, to your children. Please don't shield every child
-
of yours and not let them go to the pail exam.
-
It's not the worst failure. It's just your step to
-
greater victory. Because how you don't taste failure, you don't understand, No,
-
what victory is The pope the cardinal, not the pope. Sorry,
-
pop got new pope now pop Leo. The cardinal in Philippines,
-
the cardinal I don't know his name, the Filipino Gardenal
-
spoke at Alpha in the UK and they said, why
-
do you cry so much? Why do you smile so much?
-
You're always smiling. Gardinal said, I smiled because I've cried
-
a lot. I've cried so much. Wow, the whole room.
-
Just when you have cried a lot, when you have
-
some tough times, when you've overcome, you have a lot
-
to smile because you've gone through the hot miles. I
-
told you that we all gotta go through the heart miles.
-
Nobody gets through without the hard times. And then you
-
smile a lot, and then you can look up and
-
say you're walking on sunshine. I'm walking on sunshine when
-
you cannot walk on son sunshine. If you never come
-
to the sun, not the sun sun, but the son sun,
-
then his light shines to you. Amen. Amen, So tough
-
times will not last. It will pass, but tough people
-
will come through. I mean telling you this because why,
-
because of my own engagement with these children, I think
-
I will just die. Give somebody come and use my body.
-
I'm just gonna die. They're not dead, they're doing live.
-
They're going on to university, but their half their early
-
years have been in abuse. I'm thinking I would have died. No,
-
you don't. You will last when opportunity comes, God saves you.
-
They're in Christ now, so tough people will last. Come on,
-
grow up, Come on, we all grow up. Oh people
-
gotta grow up. Young people gotta grow up. Yeah, you
-
went to a very difficult and fair situation. That doesn't
-
mean the next time you say I don't want I'll
-
never serve again, I'll never disciple again. I'll name cook
-
a good espresso because the person saim, I donut look
-
like a ball, didn't look like a verde, looked like
-
something else. No, we go in to the tough times.
-
Face it not. You don't let my verdey too, pet
-
I give someone else. Tough people they last. Because I
-
was just looking at the child, I'm going I would
-
have died. Every man used my body every time for
-
six ten years I should have died. She should have died,
-
but she didn't. So she's tough. God's grace on her.
-
God's grace on you. God grace on you. God's grace
-
on you. You will come through. It's tough. You wonder why, God,
-
where are you? So that's not the question. We're just saying,
-
I'm just grateful that God you took me through. We
-
are more than overcomers, more than conquerors because you are
-
in Christ. He made you more than a conqueror, more
-
than an overcomer because He loves you.
