  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. Okay, good morning again, Happy New Year. If I have

  4. not wished y'all yet, how has the new year been? Good? Scary?

  5. It's like, Okay, how many had good New year so far?

  6. It's like two weeks? Right, two weeks? How many has

  7. had interesting new year so far? Yes? Right, I wouldn't

  8. say bad, because everything is experience, right, and usually you

  9. will learn more from tougher experiences than easier experiences. Right,

  10. all right, So today I will be sharing something that

  11. for those of y'all who missed Pasca when he came

  12. here last week, I encourage you to listen to the

  13. MTG when it is out. But I wanted to also

  14. share a bit on what the word that he shed

  15. to the church during first of January. So first of

  16. January we had pray. So pray is our combined prayer

  17. rally where we gather all the church plans and we

  18. pray for the year ahead, pray for different needs. And

  19. there was a word that he shared which I felt

  20. that hey, wow, that word resonated with me and I

  21. thought I wanted to go and do a bit more

  22. study on my own, and so today I will be

  23. sharing that as well. Okay, so how you know, like

  24. twenty twenty four seems so far away? Okay? Can you

  25. recall or twenty twenty four from January? Okay, January last year?

  26. Twenty twenty four? Can you recall vaguely what happened? You can?

  27. For some you who can, great, you know, because for me,

  28. I felt my twenty twenty four there was like ten

  29. episodes of twenty twenty four. It felt like super long.

  30. You know, there was so many things that happened. There

  31. was episode one, two, three, four, so there's so many

  32. things that happened. And you know, usually when we start

  33. a year, you have New Year's resolutions, you have plans

  34. and stuff like that, and then when you come to

  35. the end of the year, you're like, wow, the time

  36. passed by so fast. Have I achieved all that I

  37. wanted to achieve? All right? And we are If you

  38. have awesome, great. If you haven't, then it is good

  39. for us to do a stocktic and say that why,

  40. you know, And one of the things that I realize

  41. is that there will be so many things that will

  42. be crying for your attention. Right, there's so many things

  43. that are crying for your attention. So and when we

  44. say that, okay, when we started the new year, we

  45. have your new year's resolution or goals, you don't factor

  46. in things that could go wrong. You know, suddenly you know,

  47. like this this year, the first it was the first

  48. week back to work, I think for a lot of people.

  49. So first week back to work, my car broke down

  50. twice twice, one on a Monday, one on a Thursday. Thursday,

  51. had to tow the car, you know. And this was like,

  52. after a long day, I go to the covered after work,

  53. can all start. I was like, you gotta be kidding me.

  54. But I was like it's okay. You know, I'm not

  55. gonna let it affect me. So you got it sorted

  56. out on Tuesday and stuff like that. Then Thursday it

  57. happened again. But I think twenty twenty four has taught

  58. me to like just chill, you know, because the more

  59. you plan and the more control you want to have

  60. over your lives, when things go wrong, you will get frustrated.

  61. And then you when you will get frustrated, especially when

  62. you feel you are losing control. So this year, I

  63. mean this week, right, the car broke down twice, and

  64. then Jude is sick. You know, that's why Jess and Geroman.

  65. Jude are not here, so fell sick. So there's so

  66. many things happening in the first week. It's not like wow,

  67. twenty twenty five is like, you know, you, I'm not

  68. sure if you saw the meme before. God, I pray

  69. that you do not give me your greatest challenges for

  70. twenty twenty five. You know, twenty twenty four was good enough.

  71. Twenty five I pray that you spare me your your

  72. greatest challenges. And sometimes we live I mean, we live

  73. in an imperfect world. Right, there will be challenges, There

  74. will be challenges, There will be circumstances, situations that go wrong.

  75. But how are we living our lives? You know? So

  76. the title of today's message is this the Power of Priority,

  77. Power of priority? You know? So what does this mean?

  78. Because what is priority? Priority is something that you put

  79. as important, right, you put as important? And when you

  80. put something as important, then you will work towards it.

  81. For example, that's your goals, you know. But what happens

  82. when life happens? You know, does your priorities change? Are

  83. you suddenly deviating from what you planned, and then your

  84. focus is drawn to different things. So another way in

  85. putting it right, does life happen to you or do

  86. you happen to life? You know? And what does that mean?

  87. That means if you don't live by priorities? Next line,

  88. This is a phrase that we usually use in ex Church.

  89. If you don't live by priorities, you'll live by pressures.

  90. So does life happen to you or do you happen

  91. to life? There's your pressures dictate how you respond or

  92. do you there's your priorities dictate how you live your life?

  93. You know. So in twenty twenty four, if you think back,

  94. like the time I was talking to Jazz right then

  95. she was like, oh, just scrolling through her Google photos.

  96. You know, that's one way to do the memory recap

  97. of what happened, you scroll through your Google photos. Then

  98. she's like, oh, we actually did a lot of things,

  99. but I feel we didn't do anything. You know, She's like,

  100. we did a lot of things, but we feel did

  101. nothing like in terms of impact, you know, in terms

  102. of impact, in terms of stuff like that. So, and

  103. especially right if things go wrong and derails all your

  104. priorities suddenly and you're focused on that, you will miss

  105. the goal, you know, and let me just pull this up. Yeah,

  106. So either you determine what's important in life, or other

  107. people will determine what's important for you. You know. Sometimes

  108. right when people ask hey, are you free? Here, I'm

  109. very scatered because why are you asking you whether I'm

  110. free or not? What do you want me to do?

  111. Or what do you you know? I like a bit uh,

  112. I'm a very critical uh. I should probably give people

  113. the benefit of the doubt baller, you know. But when

  114. people ask so are you free? If you say you're free,

  115. are suddenly like, hey can you do this? This is this?

  116. This is you know, and if you want to help out,

  117. it's fine, you know. But if you do not have

  118. any priorities, then you it's fine you can help and

  119. do you are helping somebody else with their priorities, you know.

  120. But if you have your priorities, of course you can

  121. help other people definitely. But if it is jeopardizing your

  122. direction towards your goal, then you will have to evaluate

  123. what do I mean by that? One of the most

  124. common goals for the new year is what lose weight? Right?

  125. One the most common goals for the new year is

  126. lose weight. They your friends come and say, hey, you

  127. freely not come, Let's go mama. So if you do

  128. not have your priority of losing weight, okay, let's go mama,

  129. and then after that let's go uh macan. And then

  130. you were just live according to what people uh a

  131. guy telling you to do. But if you have your priority,

  132. like hey, can I go my mom? But I'll just

  133. have a drink or kurrang money is or I will

  134. have mylo co so milo Cosong already got Shugarta but

  135. or they o kosong you know, so you can still go.

  136. But because your priority, your priority is very clear that

  137. my goal is to lose weight, you will not be swung,

  138. you know. And it's a lot of times, right it's

  139. like have you been put in a situation where you

  140. know you shouldn't, but then you don't have a strong

  141. enough reason to say no. So if you do not

  142. have your priorities, that's when people will decide what is

  143. important for you. Okay, So past the Kenneth actually was

  144. sharing that twenty twenty five is a year where we

  145. should live by priorities because in twenty twenty four, however,

  146. it may have been for you. If you are living

  147. by pressures, you would feel that you are losing control

  148. over everything you know. And like just now where we

  149. sang the song during worship that God is mighty to say,

  150. and that take all my fears and failures. Right, if

  151. we are dictated, we are distracted by a fears and

  152. failures and then we are it spins out of control.

  153. We will not be heading towards what God wants for us. Okay,

  154. So what he was sharing is that we should live

  155. twenty twenty five with priority thieves and instead of living

  156. under pressures. So the verse they want to take from

  157. was this Matthew fourteen. So this is if you're being injured,

  158. you'll probably know this story, so let me read this.

  159. Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back

  160. into the boat and crossed to the other side of

  161. the lake while he sent the people home. After sending

  162. them home, he went up into the hills by himself

  163. to pray. Night fell while he was there alone was

  164. twenty four. Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away

  165. from the land, for a strong wind had risen and

  166. they were fighting heavy waves. About three o'clock in the morning,

  167. Jesus came towards them, walking on the water. When the

  168. disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified.

  169. In their fear, they cried out, it's a ghost next one,

  170. verse twenty seven. But Jesus spoke to them at once.

  171. Do not be afraid, he said, take courage. I am here.

  172. Then Peter called to him, Lord, if it's really you,

  173. tell me to come to you walking on the water

  174. verse twenty nine. Yes, come, Jesus said. So Peter went

  175. over the side of the boat and walked on the

  176. water towards Jesus. When he saw the strong wind and

  177. the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. Save me, Lord,

  178. he shouted. Next, Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him.

  179. You have so little faith, Jesus said, why did you

  180. doubt me? When they climbed back into the boat, the

  181. wind stopped. Then the disciples worshiped him. You really are

  182. the son of God, they exclaimed. Okay, so today we

  183. will be looking at Peter and his interaction with Jesus. Right,

  184. and how does priority come into display? All right, so

  185. there are three points I have for us today. The

  186. first point is this next line. First, point for twenty

  187. twenty five if we have not already done so we

  188. need to set priorities. Okay, because if we don't set priorities,

  189. I told you, people will set priorities for us. And

  190. then right, you feel there you are so busy, but

  191. at the end you don't achieve anything because all you

  192. were still you miss out what God wants you to achieve.

  193. You miss out his plan for your life in twenty

  194. twenty five, you know. And then another question, right, what

  195. was God's plan for you in twenty twenty four. It's

  196. a tough question because we believe that God has a plan.

  197. His plans are good. His plan is to give us

  198. a future and a hope. But then if we look

  199. back in twenty twenty four, what was his plan for

  200. our life? And this is something if we do not

  201. seek God for it, then we will visit completely, you know.

  202. So let me take us through the verses. So first

  203. point is said priorities, right, So let me read verse

  204. twenty four. Jesus the disciples were in trouble far away

  205. from land, for a strong wind had risen and they

  206. were fighting heavy waves. About three o'clock in the morning,

  207. Jesus came towards them walking on water. When the disciples

  208. saw him walking on water, they were terrified. In their fear,

  209. they cried out, it's a ghost. Okay. So what we

  210. can get from this is that the disciples were in trouble,

  211. you know. So the Disciples were in trouble, and most

  212. of the time that's where we are as well. We

  213. might be facing our own challenges. We are facing our

  214. own challenges. We feel we are alone. But do you

  215. know what Jesus came to them. Jesus came to them.

  216. When we are in our challenges, right, you know what

  217. Jesus will come to us. But the thing is, the

  218. disciples didn't recognize him. So when we are in our challenges, right,

  219. and suddenly Jesus appears. He can appear various ways through

  220. different people that send away to things that people tell us.

  221. But if we are not discerning, if we do not

  222. prioritize God and say I look to God, we might

  223. miss it completely. So they say here, when the disciples

  224. saw him walking on water, they were terrified and in

  225. their fear they cried out, it's a ghost. So they

  226. were in trouble. The person that can save them from

  227. the trouble is walking towards them, and they say it's

  228. a ghost. Why do you think so? It is probably

  229. because Jesus came in a way which he never came before.

  230. For them, they never experienced him walking on water. And

  231. that's why sometimes we can miss Jesus as well, because

  232. like God, last time I prayed, you did it this way.

  233. Now he comes another way, walking on water. You like

  234. you're a ghost. Jesus does not need to do miracles

  235. the same way over and over again. Do you know

  236. that when he's healed blind people one time he spit

  237. on the floor. He spit on the floor for all

  238. the blind people. No, he is God. He can do

  239. whatever he wants, but the result is the same. He will.

  240. He is here to deliver us. So if we do

  241. not recognize, if we do not prioritize Jesus looking to Jesus,

  242. we can easily miss it. Okay, next light. But Jesus

  243. spoke to them at once. Don't be afraid. He said,

  244. take courage, I am here. Then Jesus call to him. Lord,

  245. if it's really you, tell me to come to you

  246. walking on the water. So this, if you see this right,

  247. Peter had his priorities right, So Peter right. He was

  248. in the middle of a storm, most likely going to sink.

  249. Did he ask Jesus to calm the storm? No, he

  250. asked Jesus to say that, if it is really you,

  251. tell me to come to you walking on water. He

  252. wanted to recognize Jesus because he knew that Jesus is

  253. the answer. If it is Jesus, everything else is okay.

  254. So Peter got his priority right, Peter, He didn't ask

  255. Jesus to calm the storm. Instead, he wanted to draw

  256. nearer to Jesus. When we are in our storm twenty

  257. twenty five, whatever circumstance is it is our priority to

  258. draw near to Jesus or not? Or is our priority

  259. treating Jesus like a genie? God? Take away this God,

  260. I want this. God, do this. But what did Peter say,

  261. if it is really you, tell me to come to

  262. you walking on the water. He just wanted to draw

  263. nearer to Jesus. He got his priorities right. Okay, But

  264. you know right, setting priorities is only the first thing.

  265. It's very easy to set New Year's resolutions right. So

  266. earlier I asked you, did we what was God's plan

  267. for us in twenty twenty four. Right, some of us

  268. may know, some of us may not know. But in

  269. twenty twenty five, even as we start this year, there

  270. are three questions which I thought will help us prioritize

  271. our year and know God's plan whether we are in

  272. line with God's plan for us? So next line. First thing,

  273. in whatever decision that I make, am I growing closer

  274. to God? That's the first thing. Be it a job

  275. that you take, be it someone that you start dating,

  276. be it a career move, be it being so serving

  277. in church, serving in ministry. You see, right, all of

  278. us one specific answers God, what's your plan for me? Oh?

  279. Your plan is to go and eat chicken rice after

  280. lunch afterwards for lunch. You know, we want this kind

  281. of thing. But God doesn't answer that way. We have

  282. to evaluate and say that God. First of all, am

  283. I growing closer to you? If I take this decision?

  284. If I do this choice? Am I growing closer to you? Okay?

  285. So that's the first point. Second one is do I

  286. trust God more? Do I trust God more? Twenty twenty

  287. three to twenty twenty four? Are you trusting God more

  288. or less? I know? For me, I definitely trust God more,

  289. because I came to a realization that I can't do

  290. anything on my own. They came to a point. That's

  291. why when my car broke down, I'm like, okay, chill,

  292. like okay, here this happens. You know, it's not gonna

  293. affect me. But God, you are still in control. And

  294. sometimes right when God blesses us with riches, do we

  295. put our trust in riches more versus God? So when

  296. God blesses us, the greatest test right of faith or

  297. trusting God is when God blesses you. When God blesses you,

  298. suddenly your needs are met and then you feel like,

  299. hey God, actually it's okay, Like you can hang back.

  300. I'm good now. But God will never bring us to

  301. a place where we need less of Him. So this

  302. is how we should evaluate our decisions. Would this allow

  303. me to trust God more? Okay? Then the third one,

  304. do I exhibit more of the fruit of the spirit.

  305. So what is the fruit of the spirit? Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,

  306. and self control. See all these are from children's church.

  307. That's I can memorize. So send your kids to ex

  308. kids they will definitely pick this up. So if you

  309. are full of the spirit, but you are not. You

  310. cannot be full of the spirit and not have fruit

  311. of the spirit. And apple tree without apples is useless. Right,

  312. you say, we are spirit filled? Where's your fruit? So

  313. in the same way twenty twenty five, our priorities should

  314. be aligned to these questions. Am I growing closer to God? Well?

  315. I need to trust God more and do I exhibit

  316. more of the fruit of the spirit. And sometimes that

  317. can be patience or long suffering, you know, as long suffering.

  318. I tell you tip, don't pray for patience and let's

  319. you really God will answer in mysterious ways and you

  320. will definitely need Yeah, you'll definitely learn it the hard way. Right.

  321. So when we set our priorities, let's use these three

  322. questions as hands else in our decisions so that we

  323. are shooting in the right direction. Okay, so that's the

  324. first point. After you set your priorities. Like what I mentioned,

  325. setting your priority is very easy. You set your New

  326. Year's resolution. Following through is another thing. Following through is

  327. another thing. You know, I think I shed before. One

  328. of my New Year's resolutions long ago was to learn swimming,

  329. you know, because I really couldn't swim. I got swimming

  330. skills of a rock means you put there, I'll sink. Okay,

  331. So for the longest time, a few years, really I

  332. put it there. But then right, you're learn swimming. But

  333. then you know, I need to look good in a

  334. swimming trunks first, which means I need to lose weight.

  335. You need to lose weight. Then on me I can

  336. go and learn. You know that's never gonna happen, right,

  337. So it didn't happen for ages, and then right you're

  338. like you want to look good, and then you're like

  339. you're scared. You don't want to lose face because when

  340. you go and learn swimming, there was so one year

  341. I just decided, okay, I'm just gonna go for it.

  342. So I signed up for swimming. Right I went there,

  343. I'm an adult. All kids, I'm like, okay, you just

  344. have to like suck it in and like, hey, what

  345. is my priority? My priority is to learn how to swim.

  346. My priority is not to like save face or this thing.

  347. My priority is a swim And because of that then

  348. I so, long story shot, I finally learned how to swim.

  349. So that has been one of the resolutions I moved on. So,

  350. like what I mentioned, setting a result solution is simple.

  351. The second step we need to do next night is

  352. to step out of the boat. Are we willing to

  353. step out of the boat? So what does this mean?

  354. So if we look, if we go back to Matthew fourteen, Yeah,

  355. Matthew fourteen verse verse twenty eight, I think two slides

  356. back slide eight, back to slidespeck. Yes, okay, So Jesus said,

  357. don't be afraid, take courage. I am here, and then

  358. Peter called to him, Lord, if it's really you tell

  359. me to come to you working on water, so you'll

  360. be like God, if it's really you tell me to come.

  361. So what did Jesus say, come? Lay? When Jesus says,

  362. kame la, how many of us would there step out

  363. of the boat. You know, it's like quite scary and

  364. it's very scary. Remember it's not calm water. They are

  365. going through a storm. They're going to a storm. And

  366. then Peter ask Jesus and Jesus is to come. You

  367. know for parents, right, how many of y'all have taught

  368. your kids cycling? Thought your kids cycling? Right? You know

  369. you'll be like telling you kid, it's Okay, I'm here,

  370. don't worry you'll kill me. Like, no, I don't trust you.

  371. I'm going to fall. I'm going to die. You know.

  372. It's like then you'll be like, but it's okay, I'm here.

  373. I will not allow any harm to come to you.

  374. But it takes so much of convincing. It depends on

  375. on the kid as well. If some kids will be like, yeah,

  376. let's just jump off the building and then I know

  377. my father will catch me. You know, some of them

  378. are there, but some like uh like, especially from my

  379. older trying to convince him that time I took him

  380. to the dentitional. It's like, I'm going to die. I'm like,

  381. how are you going to die in the dentist? You know.

  382. So I had to like convince him so many ways. Uh.

  383. And then I even got a younger brother, you to

  384. go first and show how it is. You know, it's

  385. safe everything you know, and it's the same sometimes we laugh,

  386. but it's the same sometimes with us. When Jesus asked

  387. us to step out of the boat and come to him,

  388. we don't there because it is something that we have

  389. never done before, and it is something we have no

  390. control over. You are releasing your control over the situation

  391. and say let go and let God. And that's when

  392. we set our priorities. Do we draw closer to God,

  393. do we trust him more? Do we exhibit more of

  394. the fruit of the spirit. We can only do so

  395. when we step decide to step out of the boat.

  396. Because you always say God, I need more of you.

  397. Sure not, you need more God means you have to

  398. step out of the boat and walk to him last,

  399. but he's scary, okay. So moving to the slight eleven.

  400. This is what the worst Pasta can shed last week. Now,

  401. faith is the substance of things hoped for and the

  402. evidence of things not seen for by it. The elders

  403. obtained a good testimony by faith. We understand that words

  404. were framed by the word of God, so that the

  405. things which are seen were not made of things which

  406. are visible. So I want to focus on reiterate what

  407. Pasta can mentioned last week. Faith is the substance of

  408. things hoped for. So your faith has to have substance,

  409. and the substance that means right, your substance means you

  410. have to step out of the boat. You cannot say

  411. I have faith, Jesus, I have faith in you in

  412. the boat. That means you have faith in the boat,

  413. not in Jesus. But you say that. Okay, Jesus, I

  414. have faith in you, and my substance is I'm going

  415. to step out of the boat at your command. Okay.

  416. There are a few examples. So this is Hebrews eleven

  417. right next next Life. So Hebrews eleven is the chapter

  418. about faith. So all the heroes of faith were listed there.

  419. So I want to give two examples. By faith, Able

  420. offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by

  421. which he obtained witness that he was righteous God, testifying

  422. of his gifts, and by it he being dead yet speakers, Okay.

  423. Verse seven, By faith, Noah being warned of God of things,

  424. not seeing me as yet, moved with fear, prepared an

  425. ark to the saving of his house, by which he

  426. condemned the world and became heir of righteousness, which is

  427. by faith. So what was the substance of Able? The

  428. substance of Able was his offering? If not right, it's

  429. not though, you know, no action talk on me, you know.

  430. So they say faith is a substance, right, you need

  431. to back up your faith with action. Noah had never

  432. seen rain before. He has no idea what's a boat?

  433. But he followed by faith he built the boat. So

  434. when we need to step out of the boat, we

  435. need to show what is our substance? Do we trust

  436. God more? Because again, walking on water until now right,

  437. I don't think Peter was the only one that walked

  438. on water. Why is that the case? You know, maybe

  439. it's the way God intended it to be. But there

  440. were other disciples on the in the boat also, do

  441. you think they but they did not have that substance

  442. of faith to say that, Okay, God, I'm going to

  443. walk on water as well. And they missed out. But

  444. Peter was the only one that had the substance right

  445. next line. But without faith it is possible to please

  446. him again Hebrews eleven. So you say that God owey

  447. you and stuff like accept this or this is too hard.

  448. You ask me to do this, it's too hard, I

  449. can't do it. What you're saying is you do not

  450. Your faith does not have substance of things, hope for

  451. evidence of things not seen. Your faith is in Him

  452. and not in the action that you're taking. Because Jesus

  453. is the answer Jesus told you to step on water.

  454. You step on water. Your faith is not underwater. You know,

  455. your faith is in Jesus. But without faith it is

  456. impossible to please God. So this is something we are

  457. we living by faith this year. If not, it'll be

  458. statusch you know. If not, then you say that, Hey, God,

  459. how come? How come a loyicious God? So many testimony

  460. sometimes right, Faith like a child, is the substance of

  461. things hope for the more jaded older we become, the

  462. more jaded we become because of disappointment, because of fear,

  463. because of peer pressure, whatever it is, right, Suddenly our

  464. faith is no longer in Okay, God, you say jump,

  465. you tell me how I will? I will ask you

  466. how high? Instead of why are you sure? I don't

  467. think so? My niece cannot take it? You know, or

  468. whatever it is? That right? So that is the second point, okay,

  469. And the third one this is the last point. Stay steadfast.

  470. Stay steadfast. So after you set priorities, you step out

  471. of the boat, you need to stay steadfast all the

  472. way to the end. You know why I chose this

  473. picture because for someone walking the tight rope, right, you

  474. have to focus your eyes on the goal. You cannot

  475. be distracted on the left or the right. You cannot

  476. be distracted by the wind. In fact, if the wind blows,

  477. you adjust yourself. But your eyes are still focused, you know.

  478. So let me take us through some of the verses. Right,

  479. So he says here for assuredly, I say to you,

  480. whoever says to this mountain be removed and be cast

  481. into the sea. And there's not doubt in his heart.

  482. But believe that those things that he says will be done.

  483. He will have whatever he says. Therefore, I say to you,

  484. whatever things you ask when you pray, believe you will

  485. receive them, and you will have them. So, how many

  486. of y'all have had answered prayers before? How many of

  487. y'all have had unanswered prayers before? Do you still believe?

  488. Do you still believe? Are you still stepfast? Is your

  489. eyes still focused on Jesus? Jesus is the answer. Jesus

  490. is not there just to provide the answer. He is

  491. the answer. Right, So if I go back to Matthew

  492. fourteen the slight eighth again, right, So verse twenty nine,

  493. Jesus said, yes, come, So Peter went over the side

  494. of the boat and walked on the water towards Jesus,

  495. but when he saw the strong wind and the waves,

  496. he was terrified and began to sink. Save me, Lord,

  497. he shouted, And this could be us as well. All right, yeah,

  498. you set your priorities, you stepped out of the boat.

  499. Then challengers came your way. Challengers came your way, and

  500. then what happened? You got scared? You know, there there's

  501. so many instances right where I like, like, for example,

  502. when I changed my career. So my career has I've

  503. changed industries quite a few times, and each of it

  504. is a testimony. But every time I change, the first

  505. six months, I'll be like, hey, I wish I can

  506. go back, because it's not easy. I stepped out of

  507. the boat and it is not easy. I got so

  508. many challenges, so many challenges come my way. But by

  509. God's grace, he did not allow me to reverse. In

  510. the same way the Israelites when they left Egypt, when

  511. going to a skinan land, then you were saying, hey,

  512. better to go back to Egypt. You were like, dude,

  513. you forgot what happened in Egypt. You were beaten. You

  514. were like, you had to make bricks and they don't

  515. even give you the raw material. And that's us as well,

  516. because when we want to go from glory to glory,

  517. from strength to strength, it will require us to step

  518. out of the boat and be uncomfortable. But we have

  519. to focus our eyes on Jesus. Remember the picture of

  520. the guy walking around the tight rope. Right. If Peter

  521. was like that guy on the tight rope walking and

  522. there was storm and the waves and whatever it is,

  523. he will have to endure it. But Jesus, his faith

  524. was in Jesus. Is he right? Suddenly the waves and

  525. the storm is more powerful than Jesus. And that's why

  526. he began to sink, because the substance of his faith

  527. was that the waves and the sea is more powerful

  528. than Jesus. So the substance is I believe in this one.

  529. This one is more powerful. So what happens I sink?

  530. If my substance was in Jesus, I can still walk

  531. on water. But my substance of my faith is towards

  532. everything else that is happening around me. So the economy

  533. is not good, my boss is not good. Everything like, God,

  534. why do you do this to me? You know stuff

  535. like that? Are you still there? God is still there?

  536. You know the song that we sang. He is mighty

  537. to save. Do we believe it? Right? So he said

  538. save me? So there was there's one thing interesting that

  539. I wanted to bring about. You know. The first thing right,

  540. Peter called out to Jesus because he wanted to be

  541. nearer to God. He called out in faith. But the

  542. second time he called out to God in fear, because

  543. his eyes were no longer on Jesus, the author and

  544. finisher of my faith. He was more than Oh I'm

  545. going to die, he called out in fear. So even

  546. as I draw towards a close right to slide sixteen.

  547. So I remember I preached about this twenty twenty five.

  548. No matter what storm or wave comes your way, fix

  549. your thoughts on what is true and honorable, right, pure, lovely,

  550. and admirable. Think about these things that are excellent and

  551. worthy of praise, because if you think about what can

  552. go wrong, then you'll most likely go wrong right by

  553. you fix your thoughts that God, you are in control.

  554. I don't understand what's happening. It's tough. I don't like

  555. this situation I'm in. But God, I believe that you

  556. are still in control. If you do that and fix

  557. your thoughts. You are still saying that God, the substance

  558. of my faith is I will put my trust in

  559. you although things are going wrong. And when you do that,

  560. you please God. Again for parents who have thought your

  561. kids cycling right, when your kids have faith in you,

  562. are you pleased? Yeah? So how much more our Father

  563. in heaven you know they have your the When your

  564. kids have their full faith in you, know that you

  565. are there, you have your their best interests at heart,

  566. you will be pleased. You'll be like, Wow, I will

  567. do everything in my power to ensure my kids succeeds.

  568. And that is the same way our father God does.

  569. You know. So if we our substance of faith that

  570. our faith is usually tested right when things are going wrong,

  571. that is when you say that God, you are still

  572. in control. Right. So even as I get the band

  573. up the last line, it's just a summary of the

  574. three points that I mentioned. So twenty twenty five, let's

  575. set our priorities right, set our priorities right. And then

  576. once we set our priorities again, how do we set

  577. our priorities? Answer the three questions that do I draw

  578. closest to God is my trust and faith in God, increasing,

  579. am I exhibiting the fruit of the spirit. Once you

  580. do that, you know you are in alignment with God,

  581. and then you will step out of the boat. When

  582. you step out of the boat, I'm telling you it's

  583. going to be tough, but that is when we grow

  584. because with Christ in the vessel, we can smile at

  585. the storm right and stay step fast. Don't look to

  586. the left to the right. Fix your thoughts on what

  587. is true, right, honorable, just, admirable, and God will see us.
