You're listening to a message to go from ext church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
So happy Chinese Near to everyone who's celebrating. Basically everyone
-
celebrating now right. If you're Malaysian, you celebrate every Oops,
-
there's a bit of echo if you're Yeah, if you're Malaysian,
-
you are celebrating nearly every holiday.
-
Okay.
-
So if you're traveling, do travel safe and we yeah,
-
hope to see you next weekend as well.
-
Okay.
-
Uh, Unfortunately today I do not have any videos.
-
I was trying.
-
I was trying very hard to find a video that
-
would would would would help my message.
-
But I think.
-
As difficult as it was to find a video, I
-
felt that God is saying that, hey, kids are old
-
enough to be able to absorb this message as well.
-
So Jesus was telble us all when he was in
-
the temple, remember, and he was able to uh talk
-
to the speak to the preachers, uh to the priest
-
there as well.
-
Okay, but don't worry.
-
This message is for everyone, and it is a basic message. Again,
-
it is something that we might be familiar with, but
-
God has probably revealed a bit more. Even as I
-
was studying this and I hope to share it with y'all. Again,
-
I'm letting the Holy Spirit just flow because I'm not
-
sure how I'm gonna land this. Okay, I'm not sure
-
I'm gonna how I'm gonna land this, but God is
-
in control.
-
Okay.
-
So this week, earlier this week, there was something that
-
happened in the world which nearly everyone was watching.
-
A lot of people were watching. What was it, anyone? Yes?
-
It was Donald Trump's inauguration. Okay, so you know, yeah,
-
maybe some people watch. Some people didn't watch. But even
-
if you didn't watch, and if you're on social media,
-
you would have seen.
-
A lot of thoughts about it.
-
You had heard a lot of opinions and stuff like that. Okay,
-
so the inauguration, some people were happy, some people were sad.
-
It was like end of the world, right, But the
-
funny thing that struck out to me was the people
-
who were happy and the people who were said, both
-
of them were supposedly professing Christians. You know, both were Christians,
-
but both had although they were Christians, those camps. Both
-
of them were Christians, but somehow there was so much
-
of disagreement, and that got me thinking, I was like,
-
how come when we worship the same God, how come
-
we have so different opinions that it has caused so
-
much of friction instead of unity. All right, So that
-
got me thinking on Monday and Tuesday. So because you know,
-
I'm not sure what there you saw? There was a
-
bishop who was compassionately asking Donald Trump to be compassionate
-
to a certain group of people. Okay, if you're not sure,
-
you can go back and check it out. So anyway,
-
both were supposedly both professing Christians, but they had so
-
much of different opinions. And based on what happened there
-
when I opened social media and I saw some of
-
my friend's feeds or other people's feeds from us, right,
-
whether you were for Trump or you were against Trump,
-
both were using Bible scriptures to stand for what they
-
believe in. So I was like, whoa, how is this possible?
-
How come both sides seem to be right and both
-
sides say the Bible is citing them.
-
You know. So then it got me thinking even further.
-
I was like, okay, it seems like now we are
-
using the Bible to justify what we believe in, rather
-
than believe.
-
In what the Bible tells us.
-
So Okay, so today I have one question which may
-
or may not come out during your Chinese New Year
-
reunion dinners depending on your families and stuff like that,
-
but it might come out with your friends as well. Okay,
-
So I'm going to start with this, Uh, how do
-
I get to Heaven? How do I get to Heaven?
-
Okay?
-
So this is the title because if you're a Christian,
-
and especially if you go back to a family where
-
more majority are non Christians and stuff like that, Right,
-
and then they say, hey, every Sunday you go to church.
-
Why why every Sunday you go to church? Or what
-
do you believe in Jesus? You know, why is it
-
so special? And then you say, oh, I believe in
-
Jesus so that I will get eternal life, I can
-
go to heaven. And then there's a second question that
-
will come out, which nowadays is quite prey. All religions
-
lead to God. So if somebody says, right, comes up
-
to you and say, hey, but all religions also will
-
lead you to heaven, how would you answer that?
-
How would you answer that?
-
Because this is the basis of our faith.
-
This is the basis of our faith.
-
For example, because I had friends ask me before, Hey,
-
what's so special about Christianity?
-
All religions? Also you do good so that you go
-
to heaven?
-
So why only why y'all say that Christianity is the best.
-
So how would you answer that? How would you answer that?
-
Because right now, if you aren't say the way it's
-
supposed to be answered, it's supposedly offensive, right of course, Yeah,
-
so it is.
-
Sometimes then you are.
-
Because we are scared to offend people, we don't say
-
the truth. We just say that, oh yeah, I mean
-
it's what you believe. So if you believe like that,
-
then it's like that, you know, but this is what
-
I believe.
-
You know, and we try and water it down and
-
change the topic.
-
How many of y'all like if somebody asked you this
-
question and you're like, all right, man, I'm ready for
-
this conversation. I waited all life for this conversation. If
-
it were me, honestly, I will try and change the subject. Hey,
-
the traffic very better, what the rain very heavier? You know,
-
I will try and brush it off as as because
-
I am I will not really or I do not
-
know how to answer this question well enough, so that
-
first of all, I explain what I believe in. Second all,
-
I do not want to offend people, you know, so
-
I will try and change the subject. But today I'm
-
not changing the subject. Okay, because right now, in this
-
time and age is it's when we as Christians especially,
-
we need to know what we believe in. We need
-
to stand up for our faith.
-
Okay.
-
So the scripture that I wanted to go through today
-
is this next line, John fourteen. Okay, John fourteen, So
-
let me read it. Don't let your hearts be troubled.
-
Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is
-
more than enough room in my father's house. If this
-
were not so, would I have told you that I'm
-
going to prepare a place for you. When everything is ready,
-
I will come and get you so that you will
-
always be with me where I am. And you know
-
the way to where I am going? Then verse five, no,
-
we don't know, Lord, Thomas said, we have no idea
-
where you are going, so how can we know the way?
-
So Jesus was telling his disciples that he's preparing for
-
them a place in heaven, and he says that you
-
will know the way to where I Am going. But
-
Thomas said, we have no idea where you're going. So
-
this morning, do you have an idea of where you
-
are going? Because, same as Thomas, sometimes we are asking
-
where are we going? So first, if we know where
-
we are going, then we will try and figure.
-
Out the way.
-
So how did Jesus respond? Next life? Jesus responded, Jesus
-
told him I am the Way, the Truth, and the life.
-
No one can come to the Father except through me.
-
If you had really known me, you would have known
-
who my father is. From now on, you do know
-
him and have seen him. So the answer to the
-
question that I had in my title, how do I
-
get to heaven? The straightforward answer is this, Jesus. The
-
only way we get to heaven is through Jesus. So
-
let's establish that first. If you are a believer, a
-
follower of Christ, and you want to get to heaven,
-
the only way you can get to heaven.
-
Is true Jesus.
-
So Jesus says, I am the Way, the Truth, and
-
the life. No one can come to the Father except
-
through me.
-
Okay, but then.
-
Your friend comes and tells you again, Hey, how come
-
I thought all religions ask us to believe in God.
-
All religions asks to believe in God. All religions also
-
pointing us towards God. How sure are you Christianity is
-
the only or why do you believe that Jesus is
-
the only way?
-
Okay?
-
But this as Christians, because we have a relationship with Jesus,
-
we believe that the Bible is the Word of God. Okay,
-
and whatever it says from the world, word of God
-
is true and living. But I wanted to give y'all
-
an illustration. Okay, next life back. Okay, So there's only
-
three points today. The first point is Jesus is the way.
-
Second point is Jesus is the truth. Third point Jesus
-
is the life. Easy remember not so the memory verse
-
for today, Jesus says that from John fourteen, verse six,
-
I'm the Way, the Truth, and the life.
-
No one comes to the Father except tru me.
-
This needs to be our core, one of the core
-
beliefs of our faith.
-
Okay.
-
So the first thing is Jesus is the Way. So
-
I put this picture for a reason. Every picture that
-
I put I will try and drive a point through.
-
So what picture is this bowling ball? Okay, it's an airport. Okay,
-
it's an airport, all right? I tell you by writing
-
there is covering the people with their luggages and stuff
-
like that, But.
-
Basically it's an airport. Okay. How many of y'all have
-
been to an airport thousands of times? Okay? How many
-
of y'all have.
-
Flown overseas or phone on an airplane before?
-
Okay?
-
So before you fly, what do you need to buy?
-
You have to buy your ticket. You have to buy
-
your ticket right, and your ticket. Once you get your ticket,
-
you go to the airport. What do you need to
-
look for? I think if we got a lot of
-
people were missing luggages. Luggage seems to be coming up
-
very often.
-
Okay.
-
After you settle your luggage, everything right, okay, and it's
-
time for you to go. What do you need to
-
look for? Yeah, you have to look for your plane, right,
-
But you can't look for the plane. You have to
-
look for your You have to look for your gate
-
wish terminial are you flying from? So you see the
-
sign boat up there, they will say, oh, you have
-
to go to D three, or you have to go
-
to D two, or you have to go to D four. Okay,
-
So you look at your ticket it says that you
-
have to go to D four. But then you say, right, hey,
-
actually this is airport. Any terminial will take me to
-
where I want to go. So the ticket says DFAU.
-
I think A one will take me to where I
-
want to go. So so you go to A one.
-
Where will you end up? Team Baktu? Maybe Tokyo? Yeah,
-
for example, you wanted to go to Yeah, you go
-
to Tokyo. Yeah, you might get lost. And that's the
-
same way in the airport. Right, there is only one
-
way to your destination. There is only one way to
-
your destination when you fly. If flying and getting to
-
your destination, there's only one way. Why do you think
-
there is so many ways to reach God? Because actually
-
every religion has a different belief. Every religion has a
-
different belief, Every religion has a different God. It is
-
basically saying every destination is different. And the destination that
-
we believe in is that we want to reach Father
-
God who is in heaven. Our Father, who are in heaven. Hello,
-
bet my name, How do I reach our Father who
-
are in heaven? Jesus is the way, the truth and
-
the life. So I need to go to the right terminal,
-
the right way, and then I will reach my Father. Okay,
-
so let me read a few verses next. So Romans Tree.
-
But now God has shown us away to be made
-
right with Him without keeping the requirements of the law.
-
So this is Romans Trier. God has shown us away
-
to be made right with Him without keeping the requirements
-
of the law. You know what's the requirements of the law.
-
The requirements of the law is all the laws that
-
the Jewish people had to follow in the Old Testament.
-
You know how many laws?
-
There were.
-
Six hundred and thirty one laws. And guys, the second
-
Law is yet to be circumcised, all right, So in
-
the Old Testament, if you wanted to reach God's standard,
-
you had to follow six hundred and thirty one laws
-
and not break any of them. Do you think it's possible? No,
-
but the yeah, it's impossible. But you see in Romans Tree,
-
God he has shown us a way to be made
-
right with Him without keeping the requirements of the law.
-
As was promised in the writings of Moses and the
-
prophets long ago. We are made right with God by
-
placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true
-
for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. So
-
last time, the Jews were the chosen people. Only the
-
Jews can go to heaven if they follow the six
-
hundred and thirty one laws. But God has found a
-
way right now that if you put your faith in Jesus,
-
anyone and everyone who puts their faith in Jesus can
-
go to heaven. So that's why Jesus says, I am
-
the way. Next night, this verse be also very famlia,
-
for everyone have sinned. We all fall short of God's
-
glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace freely makes us
-
in his sight. He did this true Christ, Jesus, when
-
he freed us from the penalty of our sins.
-
So how do we get to heaven?
-
Basically, it's impossible, because all of us have sinned. Once
-
you have sinned means you fall you missed the mark.
-
How many here have not sinned? If you put up
-
your hand means you have sinned. Trick questions, all right,
-
So all of us have sinned and all of us
-
have fallen. Shot that means no matter who we follow,
-
no matter what we do, nothing we do can get
-
us to heaven.
-
The only way is Jesus. Jesus is the.
-
Way right, and that leads us to John three sixteen.
-
For this is how God loved the world. He gave
-
his one and only son, so that everyone who believes
-
in him will not perish but have eternal life. God
-
sent his son into the world not to judge the world,
-
but to save the world through him. In the Old Testament,
-
we were judged by the six hundred and thirty one laws.
-
But in the New Testament verse seventeen, God sent his
-
son into the world not to judge the world, but
-
to save the world through him, and.
-
Jesus is the only way.
-
Jesus is the only person who can wash away all
-
our sins so that we are restored again with God.
-
Okay, so do you know.
-
In the Book of X right what were Christians called?
-
They were not called Christians. Yet I tell you what
-
they were called next, all right? So X chapter nine. Meanwhile,
-
Saul was uttering threads with every breath and was eager
-
to kill the Lord's followers. So he went into the
-
High He went to the high priests. He requested letters
-
addressed to the synagogues in Damascus asking for their corporation
-
in the arrest of any followers of the Way. So
-
Christians were called followers of the Way, even people who
-
didn't belie believe in Jesus called Christians as followers of
-
the way. The guys, we are followers of the way.
-
Who is the way? Jesus is the way. And because
-
of that next night, so the followers of the Way
-
were people who were changed and changed. People who are
-
changed by the gospel will change society. So this morning, church,
-
are we followers of the way? Are we changed people?
-
Because if we are Christians and we are not changing
-
our society, are we rarely followers of the way? Because
-
this was how the first church looked like. Okay, so
-
now I'm coming to the second point. So the second
-
point is this, Jesus is the truth. Jesus is the truth. Okay,
-
So why dire I put this picture? Yes, a phone
-
to get back home, and home in this case is heaven, right,
-
So when we want to get back to heaven, God,
-
we have to listen to Jesus's truth.
-
His truth and his direction is the only way to heaven.
-
If we choose to follow our own truth right now
-
in this world that we're living in, they'll be like, hey,
-
that's your truth. I have my truth, but Jesus is
-
the truth. There is only one way and you have
-
to follow Jesus' way. So when you follow a turn
-
by turn direction, it leads us closer and closer to God,
-
which leads us to Heaven. Okay, let me see the verse.
-
So this is the same verse again. I am the Way,
-
the Truth, and the life. No one can come to
-
the Father except through me. Okay, call that all right,
-
that's slide. So this is two Corinthians one for all
-
God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding yes.
-
What does this mean? You know, there are so many
-
promises in the Bible, but all those promises will be
-
fulfilled only if we believe that Jesus is the truth.
-
You cannot say that you believe in all other gods
-
and claim the promises in the Bible. The promises in
-
the Bible are there for us to be fulfilled only
-
if we believe that Jesus is the truth.
-
When we do.
-
That, then all of God's promises, whether it's for our health,
-
our family, our finances, our life, everything.
-
Is open to us because He is the truth. Okay.
-
Next John sixteen.
-
I still have many things to say to you, but
-
you cannot bear them now. However, when he the spirit
-
of Truth has come. He will guide you in all truth.
-
For he will not speak on his own authority, But
-
whatever he hears, he will speak, and he will tell
-
you things to come. So you say that, hey, Jesus
-
is no longer here, So how am I supposed to
-
hear from him? But Jesus has left us a helper.
-
And this helper, he is the spirit of truth, has come.
-
He will guide us in all truth. So are we
-
living under the guidance of the Holy Spirit? Because if
-
we are living under the guidance of the Holy Spirit,
-
then we are living in the truth of Jesus.
-
Okay.
-
But if we are not, or sometimes we think we
-
are living based on our own standards, we are living
-
on our truth.
-
So that is why we need to do this. Next line, you.
-
Have to do a health checkup. How many have done
-
a health checkup last year? Yeah?
-
Okay?
-
How many love health checkups? How many love health checkups?
-
You go, okay, what's a health checkup? Health checkup is
-
you go and see the doctor. The doctor will check
-
everything your heart, your blood pressure, your eyes, your hands,
-
your feet to see whether you are healthy or not.
-
Free candy. Then you will fail the health checkup. It
-
defeats the purpose. But anyway, how many of belief that
-
health checkup is good? How many have done a health
-
checkup last year? You see, right, there's a different one.
-
We all know it is good, but not all of
-
us do it.
-
You know.
-
One of the reasons why when I when I talk
-
to my friends, and this is me included, me included.
-
One of the reasons I don't want to do a
-
health checkup is I don't want to know bad news
-
or I'm scared. Hey, ignorance is bliss. I don't know
-
means I'm healthy? Right, you don't know what it means
-
you're healthy er? So the worst time to do health
-
checkup is before Chinese neear. I cannot eat, these cannot drink,
-
these cannot everything, So you don't you don't want to do.
-
A health checkup.
-
But that is actually the of the enemy, because if
-
we do not do a spiritual health checkup, we are
-
thinking we are good.
-
We are good.
-
You know, we are following God's commandments. We are doing
-
what we are following the truth of God. But if
-
we do a health checkup and measure ourselves against what
-
Jesus has told us, we will see that a I'm
-
probably living more like the world than living the way
-
that Jesus wanted me to live. Okay, so these are
-
some examples. Next, so some of the lies of the
-
enemy is I am what I have. I am what
-
I have. That's why everyone wants to get more. He'll
-
be richer and richer and richer. And that's why society here.
-
The richer you are, the better people treat you.
-
You know. Is that the truth or is that a lie?
-
The truth is, my eternal security is a gift from God.
-
Everyone in Christ, they are a new creation. Everyone is
-
a child of God. It's not about what you do
-
or how much you have, but everyone is a child
-
of God. Second one, I am what people say or
-
think of me, so a lot of us. That's why
-
if you go on social media or you have if
-
you have good friends, people talk good things about you,
-
then you will have a good self esteem. If people
-
say bad things about you, you have a bad self
-
esteem and that becomes who you are. But the truth is,
-
I am nothing more or nothing less than what God
-
says about me. I am a child of God. I
-
can do all things through Christ gives me strength.
-
Okay.
-
Third one, I'm a good person. I only do small sins.
-
See a lot me included is like that I tell
-
you I'm not so bad. One, I'm okay on, you know,
-
compared to this is I'm okay on. But the truth
-
is I'm only saved because Jesus died for my sins.
-
There is no such thing as a big sin or
-
a small sin, for all have sinned.
-
Okay.
-
And the fourth one, i am nothing less than my
-
best moment. This person is like has pride. I'm nothing
-
less than my best moment. The truth is, I'm not
-
defined by my success. I'm defined by God's grace. That's
-
why people who say they are self made men, it's
-
quite an oxymoron, because someone helped them get to where
-
they are. The fact that they are breeding, the fact
-
that they have hands and feet that work, the fact
-
that they work with other people. You know, it's by
-
God's grace. The truth is, it's by God's grace that
-
we are successful. Right, So when we do a health check,
-
this is just a few. When we do a health check,
-
we can see that what are the lies of the
-
enemy that is drawing us for then for their And
-
that's why when I talked about the inauguration earlier on right.
-
Although we believe in the same God we are believing.
-
Some are believing in lies. Some are believing in their
-
own truth. It is not biblical truth, and that is
-
the thing that is drawing us for their way. What
-
is Jesus truth, because that's the only thing that matters.
-
Okay.
-
Next verse, Jesus said to the people who believed in him,
-
you are truly my disciples if you remain faithful in
-
my teaching, and you will know the truth, and the
-
truth will set you free. Okay, we have known this verse.
-
But verse verse thirty three is very interesting as all.
-
But we are descendants of Abraham. They said, we have
-
never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean you
-
will set us free? See, this is very interesting. You
-
said you shall know the truth, and the truth will
-
set you free. And most of us think we are free.
-
And that's what the disciples said. But what did Jesus say?
-
Next verse?
-
I tell you the truth, Everyone who sins is a slave.
-
To sin, a slave is not a permanent member of
-
the family, but a son is part of the family forever.
-
So if the sun sets you free, you are truly free.
-
Is it easier to sin or easier to live according
-
to Jesus's truth. Yeah, it's easier to sin. Why because
-
when you are a slave to sin, you're under bondage.
-
It is very difficult to get out, especially now where
-
with social media with everything right and you're you're seeing
-
what other people are doing or you're comparing, and suddenly
-
everything it becomes easy and easier to sin.
-
There is greed.
-
Because you want more, you hurt people, and he becomes
-
a vicious cycle. And that's why the Jesus said, so
-
if the sun sets you free, You are truly free.
-
That means sin will no longer dictate how we behave okay,
-
next light. And this is a warning. The warning is
-
this from two Tessalonians too. The man you know who
-
is a man. The man is the Antichrist. The man
-
will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit,
-
power and science and miracles. He will use every kind
-
of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction.
-
If we are not saying that Jesus is the way,
-
truth and the life, we are headed towards destruction because
-
they refuse to love and accept the truth that would
-
save them.
-
If you do not love and accept the truth. And
-
who is the truth? Jesus is the truth.
-
You are leading down a path to destruction. So God
-
will cause them to be greatly deceived and they will
-
believe these lies. Then they will be condemned for enjoying
-
evil rather than believing the truth. And that is how
-
it becomes very enticing. The lies of the enemy appeals
-
to our flesh, but the truth of God appeals to
-
our spirit. So even this morning, you know it was raining,
-
it's raining, right, your bed is very comfortable. You have
-
to die to self to get up and bring yourself here.
-
Because the truth is I need to be found in
-
the House of God on a Sunday morning. But if
-
we choose to enjoy evil rather than believe in the truth,
-
that is when we will go down the path of destruction. Right,
-
and this is my last point. The last point is
-
Jesus is the life. So what does this mean. It
-
means that everything else is death. It's as simple as that,
-
everything else is death. Jesus is the life.
-
Okay.
-
So when I was growing up, right, I always like,
-
I mean, I always had this thought. It's like, hey,
-
how comer being a Christian? I'm not living my life?
-
You know, how come all my friends are like, so happening.
-
You can go do whatever they want, Uh yeah, basically drink,
-
smoke or whatever.
-
Isla.
-
And I always had the perception that, well, being a
-
Christian is boring, you know, I to follow all these
-
rules to do this and that. And that was how
-
many of y'all have had that kind of thought before?
-
Because right when I think about it, why did I
-
have this kind of thought, It's because my understanding of Jesus.
-
Was wrong.
-
Jesus has come to set us free, and we think
-
that the lies of the world are more enticing than Jesus.
-
We think that the path to destruction is funner, right,
-
we think it's funner, you know, you think wow, But
-
that's what the Bible says.
-
We have to take the narrow path.
-
But the path to destruction is wide, it's easy, and
-
the devil is out to destroy us. So whether you
-
know it or not, right, if it's too late and
-
you go down the path of destruction although you think
-
it's fun and why it is you thing, but Jesus
-
is here again to bring us back to our father.
-
Okay, let me see next light.
-
So those who hurt Jesus use this illustration didn't understand
-
what he meant, so he explained to them. So Jesus
-
gave the example of that he is the shepherd and
-
we are his sheep. Okay, but they didn't understand. So
-
Jesus told them, I tell you the truth. I am
-
the gate for the sheep. All who come before me
-
were thieves and robbers, but the true sheep did not
-
listen to them. Yes, I am the gate. Those who
-
come in through me will be saved. They will come
-
and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief's
-
purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is
-
to give them a rich and satisfying life. The lie
-
of the enemy is to say that my way is
-
more fun, more exciting, But in actual fact, he is
-
here to steal and kill and destroy. And we have
-
to open our eyes. The only way we have to
-
open our eyes and see is we have to know
-
the truth. If we do not know the truth, we
-
have been believing alive. And the only way to know
-
the truth is to say, Jesus, you are the way.
-
And that is when all the lies of the enemy.
-
When we do a spiritual health check and we check
-
ourselves and say that God why am I feeling this way?
-
What lie am I listening to? And what is your truth? Okay?
-
Then next slide.
-
Then someone called from the crowd, teacher, please tell my
-
brother to divide our father's estate with me. Jesus replied, friend,
-
who made me a judge over you to decide such
-
things as that. Then he said, beware God against every
-
kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much
-
you own. This morning, how many of us are measuring
-
our life by how much we own, because that is
-
the world's standard. It's to get more and more and more.
-
But Jesus made it very clear. Life is not measured
-
by how much you own. Okay, And then same verse
-
twelve further down, next light, don't be concerned about what
-
to eat and what to drink. Don't worry about such things.
-
These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world.
-
But your father already knows your needs.
-
Seek the Kingdom of God above all things, and he
-
will give you everything you need. So a lot of times,
-
if we say Jesus is the life, but we don't
-
trust him to provide all our needs, then we say that, hey, Jesus,
-
you are not the truth or you are not the way.
-
I need to do it my way, and whether we
-
are Christians or not right, we have to continuously check
-
ourselves to see am I doing living a life as
-
how Jesus wanted me to live? And this is the
-
last slide, even as I get a band up one
-
John five, and this is what God has testified. He
-
has given us eternal life, and this life is in
-
His son. Whoever has the Son has life. Whoever does
-
not have God's Son does not have life.
-
Church.
-
This morning, even as we just started with a simple question,
-
how do I get to heaven? Or do all religions
-
lead to heaven? This morning, I wanted this to go
-
back to the basics. Do we really believe that Jesus
-
is the way? Even in the apole, even in the physical,
-
we go to the specific gate to get to our destination.
-
But in our life do we follow that Jesus is
-
the way? Do we follow his truths? Because other than
-
Jesus's truth, all are lies and sometimes the lies seem
-
more appealing because we do not recognize Jesus as the way.
-
And finally, the only way to have eternal life is
-
true Jesus. That's why he says Jesus is the Way,
-
the Truth, and the Life. So this morning, church, in
-
write you to stand even as we just worship God.
-
Let's just take this moment to just examine our hearts.
-
Have we been living our lives as putting Jesus as
-
the Way, the truth.
-
And the life.
-
What lies of the world or the enemy have we
-
substituted Jesus's truth wall What ways of the world have
-
we substituted Jesus's way? Because we want at the end
-
of our journey here on earth, we want to hear.
-
Jesus saying, well done, my good and faithful sermony. Man.
-
So when i's to worship God, let's just ask God
-
to reveal.
-
When there seems STUPI being no way, We're trusting you.
-
God, you have a final say you are the way.
-
When there seems to be no way. We're trusting you. God,
-
you have a final say you are You are the
-
way when there seems suping no we trust in you.
-
God.
-
You have a final save woo the move up, breg
-
the break.
-
God.
-
We believe God.
-
We belly for it from the impossible.
-
We'll see your Mary. God.
-
We belly.
-
God, be belly for it. Woo, the boats brag the
-
U break corpo. God, we berny.
-
God, we belly for.
-
It from the impossible. We'll see our Mary. God, we
-
bully God.
-
We rely hoorried.
-
Amen a man.
-
God. Even as your word has gone forth, I pray
-
that we will repent before you.
-
Lord.
-
I pray that even as we do our spiritual health check,
-
that you will reveal the lives of the enemy that
-
we have clung through as truth. But Lord, in fact,
-
that we will search for ourselves. We will search for you, God,
-
that you are the Way, the truth, and the life.
-
Lord. I prayed that even as we walk with.
-
You, we will become people of the Way, that the
-
whole world will recognize the difference because we follow you.
-
So God, I pray that you do a new work
-
within us, draw us closer to You, even as we
-
reach out to you, love and Church. This morning, I
-
want to give an opportunity. Even as I've spoken about
-
Jesus and how he is the only way to heaven,
-
he is the only way to eternal life, I want
-
to give you an opportunity. If you have yet to
-
know of this Jesus, I want to encourage you and
-
account of three It's as simple as inviting Jesus into
-
your heart. Because even as the Bible says, right previously
-
you had to follow six hundred and thirty one laws,
-
but right now all you have.
-
To do is have faith in Jesus.
-
So right now it's as simple as a admit that
-
we need Jesus. Be believed that he died and rose
-
again for our sins. See commit and confess that he
-
is Lord. So the kind of tree with every head bower,
-
with every eye close. If that's you, and you will say, Jesus,
-
I want to follow your way. I want to have
-
eternal life, I want to go to Heaven.
