You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Today. I have a simple message for you.
-
It's been very real to me for many years, and
-
I think some of you probably really know that my
-
favorite topic is faith, and I think it's good to
-
just start the year remembering, remembering that Christianity is really
-
about faith. And I don't know what religion you may
-
have come from. Maybe you didn't start off in Christianity.
-
Maybe you know you were worshiping the gods of your
-
father's or grandparents. And you know, I come from a
-
Catholic background. My wife comes from a Buddhist background. So
-
we've had different experiences along the way, and I found
-
the key difference between walking with Lord and working with
-
any other is faith that really you can't quite put
-
a finger or a structure to it. That's the that's
-
the power and the problem at the same time, because
-
we are people who love structure, and if you don't
-
have structure, very hard to do your work, yeah, very
-
hard to do churches. So sometimes we got homes leaders
-
in this room that probably if there's no structure to
-
the home notes you you know, you panic, right because
-
he how we are creatures of structure. I think most religions,
-
and I say it with respect, most religions actually have structure.
-
And that's appealing to people. How many times a day
-
we pray the how you kneel, how you get up,
-
how you take communion.
-
From the priest's hand.
-
I remember when the COVID timer, they had to change
-
some of these suches. I go to speak in different denominations,
-
and so you go right to the front of that
-
neil first, and then you get up, and then you can.
-
Take it from the priece's hand.
-
And once more time they even drink from the same cup.
-
Then when it was COVID, they didn't do that anymore.
-
But the structure, and people like structure when they like
-
the one two three, A B c uh and so
-
I mean I like facture, and I'm sure you like
-
struction as well.
-
Most of you in this room.
-
Give me some plan, give me some program, give me
-
some points, break it down for me.
-
That's why a lot of times where we preacher, we
-
preach points.
-
Though, yeah, one two three, you know ABC, or this
-
is a seven rs eights you know two b's and
-
and and and so naturally we find faith hard to
-
deal with because faith doesn't always make sense. Ah, it doesn't.
-
It doesn't always have perfect timing. In fact, when you
-
think it's not perfect, I mean that could be perfect.
-
And when you think it's not perfect, you know or
-
perfect you know everywhere around right is. God cannot be
-
put in the box. He remains God and he loves
-
to confound us. Why remind us that he's God and
-
we are not? Okay, So faith is very important, and
-
I think Christian sometimes you don't forget that because we
-
somehow in our nature go back to structure, we go
-
back to sense, We go back and if there's no
-
sense that we call it nonsense. Right, And the world
-
likes to call faith nonsense just because it doesn't make sense.
-
But I think it's a good reminder at the bin
-
of a year to remember that God's ways are not
-
our ways, his thoughts are not our thoughts, and so
-
we it's good to kind of realign back to God's
-
way and his way I want to tell you again
-
and again throughout this next so many minutes, is to
-
say his way is faith. His way is walk by
-
faith and not by side. And too many of us
-
have been trained to walk by side, and that's why sometimes.
-
We miss it.
-
Sometimes we miss God's blessing, his breakthrough, his miracles, because
-
most of us are fashioned that way from young till now.
-
We're fashion that way in our workplace, in our study,
-
in our universities. We are fashioned to see and believe.
-
And yet Jesus says, blessed are those who do not see.
-
And yet so.
-
Is a good refresher. And I even have to refresh
-
my own heart because there are days where I rather
-
the familiar.
-
Than faith. I rather you tell me go somewhere and
-
do something.
-
Climb the highest mountain, find the most unique flower, boil
-
it in the soup, you know, drink it.
-
And you will be well.
-
I rather you tell me some day that, then to
-
tell me look to Jesus, put your trust in him
-
and wait upon him. You know, this is like what
-
you know. And so that's why Christianity can be a problem.
-
But that's also where the power lies. That our faith
-
is not in facts alone. Our faith is in the Lord. Okay,
-
so let me just put up the first slide.
-
I thank you XTV. The first slight says faith creates.
-
And the reason why I came up with this title
-
was because I had the privilege of meeting different leaders
-
at different times over the course.
-
Of six months.
-
The last six months, I want you to know that
-
because I'm now feeling the call to go back into
-
ministrying to Malaysia rather than just one church which I
-
love so much, called ex Church. It will always be
-
my church, will always be my home. But God has
-
called me, and says Kenneth, Malaysia is in need.
-
That there is a big.
-
Big issue with the Malaysian church around the country, be
-
it in West Malaysia or East Malaysia.
-
And this one word succession, succession.
-
Most of the pastors who are ready to pass on
-
the baton don't have anybody pass on to And even
-
if they think they have, they still got a lot
-
of question marks.
-
Is he the right one?
-
Does he know what it takes? Because founders are of
-
a different breed, and it's not that they're so special,
-
it's just that they had to learn the hard way,
-
and they had to learn things they didn't know.
-
They had to yeah change and change very quickly.
-
There was no money ready for them to spend, there
-
was no building ready for them to meet. You know,
-
it's from scratch, so you become something that you never
-
knew you become. But because the Lord's grace is on us,
-
founders are a little bit different.
-
So excuse me.
-
So when you pass it on, that next person may
-
or may not have you think. Of course, when God chooses,
-
he knows who is choosing. But sometimes in our minds
-
we've got to you know in Chinese like more you know,
-
like can and on you know and sure not And
-
this is very real man human kind of fears and worries.
-
Some churches are even worse in that they have multi
-
million dollar buildings and then pass it on to one
-
man who might not know how to handle the millions.
-
Where would this building go to in the next ten years.
-
They've got thirty vans outside in their kapa doing different ministries.
-
So there's a lot of money, uh, And the founder
-
would understand how to deal with the money because he
-
had to start from scratch, and so he will appreciate
-
that money more than passing it on to the next
-
guy who maybe didn't work for it, you know.
-
Ka, So we think like that.
-
So throughout the country, I must tell you if you
-
didn't know this, get it from me from Alostar Pastor
-
Quillan A Treaty Baptist Church all the way to Joho Baru. Okay,
-
we have got a pastor from Calvy, charismatic. Okay, he's
-
probably also in his late sixties or early seventies. Then,
-
of what Doctor Chu just went through, SIB just went
-
through succession.
-
He was a long time coming.
-
You know, when I left SIB many years ago, twenty
-
six years ago, I was the first youth pastor, and
-
I remember Doctor Chu was very disappointed because he said,
-
Pasta Kenneth, I was going to pass on the church
-
to you, and I knew my calling was somewhere else.
-
And Pasta Chow was very gracious. He said, I know
-
I couldn't keep you because you are men for the nation.
-
So this is you know SIB. Since then they were
-
already thinking about succession, so he was in his fifties.
-
Then now he's.
-
Seventy eight, and us onto I think a guy called Isaac,
-
who I don't know very well because he's not he
-
was not there when I was there. And then uh,
-
you know, Daniel Hole passed on the DMC passed on
-
the Bayton to another guy, Chris, I think his name
-
Pastor Chris. And Pastor Chris come Uh, now he's passing.
-
He wanted to pass on to someone else the whole country.
-
I think if I'm not just taking one of my
-
friends in KK Passa Philipline is thinking about succession or
-
so I've been thinking about it for years.
-
Uh. Uh he talked to one of my friends. Uh.
-
And you know in confidence is Kenneth.
-
You know I was invited by Passa Philip to uh,
-
you know, consider this.
-
Uh.
-
And then you know they prayed, prayed, prayed, plan, plan, plan,
-
but he didn't work out. And so now he's looking
-
at another person. Now what what am I trying to say?
-
I'm trying to say that I know people who are
-
having this as a challenge. So as I'm speaking to people, Oh,
-
this church is not enough musician, how pasta, this church
-
is not enough ashes, how pasta, this church is not enough?
-
Ex kids all their kids program, volunteers. And even if
-
they have not enough men, the case is the same throughout.
-
The most of them who do kids ministry are women,
-
but we need men also, we need male figures. Okay,
-
all this just to say that there is a lack.
-
Next light that says this, right, what is the lack?
-
Where do I still lack. Now, if you remember, the
-
rich young ruler came to Jesus and said, good Teacher,
-
what good thing must I do to inherit life? And
-
Jesus says, why do you call me good? Only God's good? Remember,
-
but if you want to have life, go and do this,
-
Go and fulfill the commandments.
-
And then the ricial ruler said this.
-
The Rician ruler look at Jesus said, all this I've
-
done since I was a youth, what do I still lack?
-
So you can, you know, even in your own lives,
-
maybe identify with this.
-
You've been doing this, and you've been doing that, and
-
you've been doing what your friend told you, You've been
-
doing what your boss told you, You've been doing what
-
your father told you, and you've you've been doing doing, doing,
-
And yet after doing all these things, there is still
-
a sense of emptiness inside, the sense of like meaninglessness
-
or a sense of unfulfillment, a sense of like I've done.
-
It, I'm still doing it.
-
It's not bad, it's a good thing, but I don't
-
know why I still feel alike. And I'm telling you,
-
throughout the country that is still a lake. And I'm
-
talking even about the church not just nation. You know
-
that there's a lot needs to be met, but just
-
the church, just succession.
-
There's a lack.
-
I go to speak to a pastaquilin up in Alosance, Kenneth,
-
I want to do youth, me history, but my youth
-
stop at form five. Yeah, And he said all of them,
-
all of them will leave Alosta to go and furdate
-
their studies.
-
Now, it's not bad, it's not wrong, but it happens.
-
It's a natural thing because there's nothing much for them
-
in a losta itself.
-
So they're gone.
-
They're gone either to Pinian or to care or to
-
see our Paul. Okay, and they don't come back. Why
-
because no jobs. He is now in his late sixties
-
saying to me, I'm ready to retire, but I don't
-
know how to retire.
-
There is a lack.
-
Now, Listener, when I go around, listen to all this, right,
-
I tell you, somebody, I feel like it's such a
-
daunting situation.
-
Why because you don't have all the answers.
-
If anyone sit down with you right now, don't talk,
-
don't talk about just church and succession. Talk about your
-
own life, okay, talk about oh my buster, my.
-
Brother's like this. I don't know how to get him
-
back to church.
-
You know, he's so far away from the or maybe
-
your your issue something else, or my sister or my
-
mother or my father or my boss or my job
-
or Okay, there can be all kinds of luck, all right,
-
What is that one answer?
-
If there is that one answer.
-
That God could give us that can settle all problems.
-
Ah, that is how it came about.
-
I realize, ladies and gentlemen, brother sisters, that faith creates.
-
That means that if you didn't have uh enough ex
-
kiss teachers, if you would start to see with the
-
eyes of faith, what would God have you do?
-
And he will? I'm telling you right now. It can
-
be maybe simple, but it will.
-
Also be radical because God will not give you answers
-
that you already have in your own flesh.
-
He will usually, if not.
-
Always, give you answers that is a little bit out there,
-
can or not sure not, But I'm telling you right
-
now I want to encourage all of you faith answers almost,
-
if not all things. I want to tell you right
-
now it is going to God, listening to God and
-
saying Okay God. Even though this sounds nonsensical, if it
-
is your way, I will do it. And that's why
-
a lot of people miss it, because opportunities are usually
-
disguised as problems, as obstacles. So people, oh, it's obstacle. No,
-
you should start seeing No, it's an opportunity. And when
-
you take it, and when you start walking out of
-
that boat and start walking on water, which again is nonsense,
-
then you will start seeing that walking on water is
-
actually possible in God.
-
In fact, all things are possible with God.
-
And maybe your situation this afternoon is a water walking situation. Say,
-
I don't think it can ever be done. You know,
-
some of you. The more you learn, the more it's
-
hard for you to leave by faith. Okay, and that's
-
why people with doctors and all that, Daniel, I must
-
shake your head like congraduately you are because you are
-
very different, all right, you have you have a brain
-
as a doctor, but the heart of a servant of God.
-
And I'm glad, I'm glad we've got to lead.
-
I'm glad we've got a leader in that. You know
-
who goes like okay, hold on, hold on a minute,
-
Hold on a minute. Yeah, I had to do all
-
my PhD and those of you who know I'm doing
-
my doctorate. Now you know, I know how difficult it is,
-
doctor Daniel, And I think you had even more difficult
-
because I know I'm not doing a traditional PhD.
-
You did traditional one, which is which is tough.
-
Mine is a pel q Help university where experience counts.
-
So about fifty percent of my MAX come from my
-
twenty five years or thirty years of experience as a
-
youth worker. So I'm writing my TCS on youth work
-
in Malaysia, and the huddle system will go in there
-
as well.
-
But but the thing is, it's tough. It's tough.
-
And after a while, if you study too much, read
-
too much, you become what you study. You become what
-
you read. And certainly your language also change. Yeah, it
-
has to change because you get paid more and they
-
pay you for that language.
-
Yeah.
-
Telling you come up and you said, see before I say,
-
I wrote and read twelve books, trouve books. I wrote
-
twelve books, but all my books are has God. I
-
sense the Lord said, the Lord said to me, and
-
I obeyed. I opened the word and the word gave
-
me conviction. All this word that sends conviction or that
-
not accepted in the doctor. Right now, So I had
-
to go through this, I say, I'm going to write
-
about the hard system. How did you get it?
-
All right? How did I want to throw this foot
-
down the floor? How did you get it? Grum? No, grum?
-
Because is it, Poster Kenners, you're reading twelve books? This
-
should be simple, Team Chin, what Chin sore? Literature Review
-
For those of you who don't know Literature Review.
-
Chapter two.
-
Chapter two is liter I had to read other people's work,
-
I said, why I had to read other people's work.
-
They haven't done addle. No, you read so that you can, okay,
-
so you can understand, so you can find the gaps
-
all this guy, Okay, Then I now have to find.
-
The theoretical framework. What do it? What kind of things
-
is that theoretical framework?
-
No? Where where did you get the theory to write
-
your I said, I.
-
Didn't get anywhere.
-
I got it from the Lord truth by it. Then
-
the professor, the professor knows. This is the professors. I
-
don't want to tell you that you're wrong. As long
-
as you can justify, you can write a fine. We
-
cannot we cannot give you no marks for saying that
-
the Bible is real? Okay, but you must prove it.
-
You must, you know, write it. So I had to
-
find what, I tell you what I've got this you
-
know this, this guy's name by bronfre and Brenner. Okay,
-
actually actually Bronford Brenner has this theory, and and Jack
-
Mazio has that theory, and green Leave has that. I
-
got four theories, you know, four theories. The last one
-
green Leaf one, Robert green Leave is the theory of
-
server leadership. Okay, all these are in the world. And
-
then finally I said that, uh, but my theory that
-
I want to put forward is the Bible. Okay, theoretical framework. Right,
-
And there I said that, I said that, I said,
-
the other the other the other four, the other four,
-
I know. I had to write down all their theories,
-
the other four that's not clash with the Bible, because
-
the Bible also believes in Cervi leadership. The Bible also
-
believed Jack jack manzero believes in learning by imitating. I said,
-
imitate me as an imitate Christ found in the Bible
-
as well, you know what.
-
I'm trying to say.
-
So I had to write that, presented to my supervisor,
-
I said, oh, this is very good.
-
Hella. No, yeah, praise God. So now I have to.
-
Remember that God told me you do my doctorate because
-
he said that many more people in this line, in
-
this world, in this industry of academia that does not
-
know Jesus.
-
So you will present, you will speak to them.
-
Uh, and you will do your vivor and what all
-
that kind of stuff, and you will stand for me
-
and glories A yeah, yeah, I.
-
Used to do so.
-
So basically it's it's uh, it's all this that that
-
we are. We we have to sound sometimes, so the
-
more we study, the more we have to sound like
-
the world. But we don't have to write Daniel. We
-
don't have to doctor. We don't have to write doctor.
-
I can't have to remember the guys and doctors as well,
-
you know, so yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, you know.
-
So PhD don't don't become permanent in the damage.
-
Uh uh uh. And just just just you know how
-
we can we can develop the mind and yet keep
-
our heart pill because God doesn't really look at the mind.
-
He looks at the heart. That's what the Bible says
-
very clearly. He looks at our hearts. And so how
-
to keep the heart having faith you know, pumping with
-
the blood of faith.
-
Yeah.
-
Uh so you might have a d R in front
-
of your name, and you might I'd be really smartest guy.
-
I mean Sam, what was his name, King Solomon was
-
the smartest guy.
-
But still feel in the.
-
End, So no, it's not just about being smart, right,
-
It's about keeping your heart always fresh and on fire
-
and pumping with faith. Because faith, ladies and gentlemen, brothers
-
and scissors, it does create one that's great. I've seen
-
bang account zero, but because of faith it grows. I've
-
seen a church with only three people become three thousand.
-
I've seen a church that's very small up in the
-
third floor of Subanjaya become now you know, fifty five
-
churches in eleven nations. Faith creates, It creates. You don't
-
have I challenge you and encourage you. Live then by faith.
-
There is nothing in this world that guarantees growth and
-
creation of growth more than faith. Even when you invest
-
your money in the stop market that there's no guarantee.
-
One I'm guaranteeing right now. Living by faith for thirty
-
years without a salary, I can tell you what it grows.
-
Something you put a seed in the ground, it becomes
-
a tree. You plan to see, you get a tree,
-
plant a tree, you get a forest. I'm telling you,
-
faith just continues to grow. I see Albert here. Once
-
upon a time, no football academy, then got football academy.
-
One point in time, no football team now got football team,
-
you know, filled with a really nice Malay guys, you know,
-
ninety percent of them right, giving them a future. Right now,
-
we've taken the team into Division two. Once upon a
-
time cours the law by, But with faith, that's how
-
things happen. Everybody, Okay, with this, that's how things happen.
-
Uh And and therefore there is no lack in your life.
-
Now. I want to tell you and encourage you.
-
I came to encourage you, actually, to encourage you, not
-
to make you feel down or law or nothing. I
-
came to say to you that you already have within
-
you the gift from God to make things happen this year,
-
not just wait for things to happen, but make it happen.
-
Everybody, Okay, So what do I still like?
-
Only you can answer the question this afternoon, because every
-
lack here is different from your neighbor. Let's look at
-
the next slide. The next line says, for whatever is
-
born of God overcomes the world. I love this verse
-
so much because the Bible, like you, says, our faith
-
is the one that overcomes the world, everything and anything
-
you face in life, in this world, in this life,
-
your faith not only will overcome, has overcome, has overcome.
-
You got a marriage problems. I encourage you to go
-
by faith. What does you see? Let's let's get it
-
right there now, right from the starter. How does faith come?
-
Faith comes to my hearing and hearing by the word
-
of God Romans ten seventeen. So that's how faith comes.
-
So the issue is what are you hearing? We've been
-
in and out of our world the last one week.
-
What are you hearing? And the Bible encourages us to
-
hear the word, hear what God has to say about this.
-
So why those marriages that are in trouble can still
-
be healed because if they go by the way of God,
-
they will hear him say forgive.
-
They will hear him say forgive no matter what. And
-
when you can.
-
Get yourself to a place whereby God gives you the
-
strength and you say, God, I can't forgive, I just
-
really can't.
-
You don't understand how much they hurt me.
-
And then Jesus reminds you by his word, they hurt
-
me too. They hurt me too. And I said, forgive
-
their father, for they know not what they do. Because
-
if they knew what they do, they probably won't hurt you.
-
But it's painful. It's very painful. I mean, I've gone
-
through so many times. My own father I had to
-
forgive because you know, he neglected as my own mother,
-
who divorced my father when I was one year old.
-
I had no mother therefore, so I had to have
-
to learn to keep on because there's no it's an option,
-
they say, right, or rather they say it's a choice,
-
but not an option. What is what is God trying
-
to say to you? So marriage, your work? It could
-
be your work. And then you say, oh, you know,
-
because my boss promised me a promotion and didn't give
-
it to me. Now I'm not gonna work as well
-
as I did six months ago. And then you open
-
the word and he says spirit of excellence. Daniel had
-
a spirit of excellence, right, and then so so basically,
-
at the end of the day, I want to tell you,
-
whether it be your sons, your daughters, your marriage, your boss,
-
your anything, your everything, even someone who's on the sick bit.
-
You know, I've seen people on the sick bed dying,
-
but dying with faith as they smile and say, whether
-
I live or die, it's for the Lord. And I
-
visited people on the death bed who had attitude change
-
and they chose to have and added, your faith, actually
-
go home to be with the Lord with a smile
-
on your face. My own father before he died. The
-
night before he died, I was with him. I was
-
traveling around the country and I finally came back. The
-
Lord told me, Kenneth, I know you're very tired. Don't
-
go to sleep yet because your dad that your dad
-
would need some time with you. So I went downstairs
-
and we were watching you know what, I can't remember
-
so clearly television he was watching. He was he had
-
stroke so he couldn't speak. All my father could do
-
is oh oh, And I knew what he was talking about.
-
Al Gore was competing with Bush, all right, And and
-
that was the final night before and it was you know,
-
I think I'll go only lost by I know a
-
few votes, and uh, And I was talking to my dad,
-
so I was I was dead tired. My eyes was
-
closing while I was with him, But God said to me.
-
God said to me, stay, just have this conversation with
-
your dad. And the beautiful thing is I got to
-
see him get up from the chair as he was
-
about to go to his bed. As he's walking out,
-
I thought the bit is actually at the back, but
-
he's walking out to the front because he saw something
-
in the sky. So I worked with my dad. I
-
said that, okay, you want me to take you back
-
to a beauty ful He managed that word, so I
-
got like it was the normal sky to me, no stars,
-
but he saw something. And I have come to believe
-
after saying goodbye to many people who have died, there
-
is that at least about twenty thirty percent of people
-
who have gone home to be with a or they
-
see angels coming to take them home. Someone someone said,
-
I see charoit, So I really believe. My wife and
-
I always say, oh, the Charot is coming. And sometimes
-
the charity of God picks people up right now. So
-
you find us, some friends and some family members.
-
They all go.
-
Around the same time because when the Charot comes, he
-
takes he picks up.
-
So I believe in the heavenly. I believe in angels.
-
I believe that when you can see things God's way,
-
even at your last moment, you get to see heaven.
-
And so my dad I didn't know I was very
-
beautiful man. So I said, okay, but by deaths why
-
his eyes were so big? I was like, it's almost
-
I saw an angel. So I took him to I
-
took him to bed, and next morning, five o'clock in
-
the morning, he was God, Uh, why am I trying
-
to say this?
-
Do you? I even plague to say this to you?
-
Know?
-
But this is important that.
-
Even even on your death bit, you can choose to
-
live by faith. You can choose to see things God's way,
-
and I'm telling you you are going to be rewarded
-
for it. The eyes who open for you angels will
-
come down to greet you and to welcome you hope.
-
Or will you go.
-
Greeting your teeth and saying I trusted this God for
-
so many and he caused me to have cancers?
-
You know what I say?
-
You can go back greeting your teeth or smiling and
-
saying Lord, like, how remember job God gave, God takes
-
away blessed me The name of the you see faith
-
and just natural facts. It's two different things. I you
-
also with me. I'm telling you this not just because
-
I think that you know any want of us are
-
going to go home sooner, but but one day we will.
-
And sometimes terrible things happen, even to Christians. But the
-
way forward in all the things that we do to
-
overcome this world is faith.
-
All right, let's move on. We have faith. It's impossible
-
to please God. You know this. It doesn't say difficult,
-
it says impossible.
-
Now, if you believe that your life, in my life,
-
is lived to please God as our ultimate goal. We
-
want to put a smile on Father God's face, then
-
this is a scripture.
-
You need to remember. There is a scripture.
-
There's nothing else, not even wishful thinking. It doesn't say
-
there and wishful thinking. Without wishful thinking, is it posit? No,
-
it doesn't say oh, without a good attitude, without a
-
PhD is nothing that.
-
It just says without faith, it is impossible.
-
And if you're honest, I wonder how many of us
-
in the whole week have actually failed to please God
-
because we chose the way of sight more than the
-
way of faith. Maybe it's happened for the past month,
-
and I can't blame you because real things are happened
-
in your life. You do have a father in hospital.
-
You do have someone in your family that's talking about divorce.
-
You do have a spouse that maybe didn't understand you
-
over Christmas and you know, didn't didn't cook your favorite
-
meal and you thought she doesn't love you. You do
-
have real problems. Are okay, you do have a doctor.
-
But you do have a cat that doesn't doesn't mail you.
-
You you you, you do. You do have problems. You
-
do have a neighbor that's singing at three o'clock in
-
the morning, you know, like pava roti and all you
-
want to do is take one roathi and throw it
-
if But you know you, you have real issues, and
-
you didn't know that you would come on the trave
-
of January to hear a reminder that we are to
-
walk by h and not by but we are sight creatures.
-
We are, And the Lord says, that's not my way.
-
I give you a better way, and this way you
-
will be able to overcome all things.
-
Okay, so we want to please God. Let's move on.
-
Let's move on now.
-
This is very important this is what doctor Daniel shared earlier,
-
even probably.
-
Without knowing my my my my scriptures. I don't know.
-
Maybe Daniel, you had a peak of my scriptures. By
-
I'm guessing you didn't. I'm guessing you just flowed with
-
the Holy Spirit and gave us a different version. What
-
was your version is not and IV. Okay, this is
-
n k JV all right, And this is what it
-
says now. Faith is a substance of things hoped for,
-
the evidence.
-
Of things not seen. Okay.
-
I want to take this scripture mainly and draw towards
-
the finishing line.
-
Okay.
-
And the rest I will talk to you about is
-
just stories, because I want to encourage you with stories,
-
both biblical and personal stories.
-
Are you ready?
-
So you want to have faith? You know it's God's way.
-
You know it's the only thing, only thing that can
-
please God. You know, is the very thing that you
-
have been given by God to overcome whatever it is.
-
In this world. You all to understand this. I hope
-
you're catching it. Okay.
-
You have a choice whether you will walk by faith
-
or by side by side. You already know what the
-
end result is, so I'm gonna ask you to choose
-
faith again and again and again. It's built churches, it's
-
filled rooms, it's raised up workers, you know, pray to
-
the Lord of the harvest to raise up workers, to
-
send out laborers.
-
Yeah, it's from out of the blue, and no.
-
It comes because faith creates. Faith creates just out of
-
the blue. And I don't want to call it magic,
-
but really it's close to that.
-
It's better than that.
-
It's like, oh wow, you know amazing how God does it.
-
So let's read this and let me go through it.
-
Okay.
-
Faith is a substance of things hope. For now, let
-
me break it down for you. When you exercise faith,
-
you must have hope because faith is a substance of
-
things hopeful. Now, the devil doesn't want you to live
-
or walk by faith because he knows how powerful it is.
-
He knows when one of you, brother or sister in
-
this room choose to live by faith and work by faith,
-
he knows that you will get it. He knows that
-
you will be smiling to heaven. He knows that you
-
know miracles, what was happening in your life. He knows
-
that no money will have money. He knows that no
-
children will have children. He knows that those spouse will
-
have spouse. He knows that faith creates. He knows that
-
you've seen it so many times. He's seen that the
-
Red Sea party.
-
He's seen it how in the world faith, He's seen
-
it over and over again.
-
So the way to do it is to stop God's
-
people living by faith. And to be able to stop
-
Gods we were living by faith. He has to remove
-
your hope. And hope is usually removed by discouragement. Yeah,
-
by disappointment. I ah, why you don't have girlfriend? Now?
-
I had four ready before? All fail me when I
-
tell you are these women you know? Cannot be?
-
Okay? Why you do that? Boyfriend or boyfriend? You know?
-
And then you go like because of the hurts and
-
the pain you've been through. The hope it can be,
-
it can be whatever. It can be your your your family,
-
your parents.
-
Your job.
-
It can be even leadership in church. Would you like
-
to be a leader in twenty twenty five? You can
-
see your your your amazing talent or leader.
-
Moo our.
-
These moke ourhana don't player. Where does it come from?
-
Where does the fear come from? It comes from past experiences.
-
People who join your church from other places have been disappointed.
-
You see, they take sometimes years before they ever break
-
in because there's a lot of past, a lot of
-
common hopelessness.
-
And if the enemy can rob away your hope, he has.
-
Robbed away your faith because there is hope within the
-
definition of faith. And I think a lot of you
-
in this room I understand what I'm saying because you've
-
been there where hope almost was lost, if not lost.
-
And the Lord is saying to.
-
You, do not lose hope, Do not lose Christ in you,
-
the hope of glory, faith, hope, love, and the greatest
-
of these is love.
-
But there's hope in God's plan. There's always hope. Amen.
-
What does the other scripture says? Does is there hope there?
-
He says, look at to Jesus, the author and finish
-
of your faith, who for the joy that was set.
-
Before him and doure the cross.
-
Okay, basically even for the Lord to endure the cross,
-
because he had a hope that one day he will
-
see all your faces because of what He's done.
-
Are you all see with me?
-
Hope? What what do we do every time we celebrate Christmas?
-
Hope?
-
And when hope is taken away? I have a statement
-
I've used for years for a ya. Without a dream,
-
there's no hope, and without hope, there's no life. Show
-
me a man who has a dream. I'll show you
-
a man who has hope. That's why dreams get broken.
-
The enemy loves to break dreams because if you can
-
break dream, it can break hope. If you can break hope,
-
you'll break your life. It's as simple as that. A
-
man who has no hope is a man who's stopped living. Okay,
-
So you must, no matter what, just hold on to
-
that hope, especially if it's from the Lord, especially from
-
the word of God.
-
Hold on to the.
-
Promise of promises of God, for there yes, and they
-
are amen. But it is the substance of things hopeful.
-
So I want to tell you, I want to give
-
you a quick definition of substance. Substance to me means weight.
-
Anything that is nothing has no.
-
Weight to it.
-
I would ask you a question, what weight are you
-
putting behind your hope?
-
What weight are you putting behind your hope?
-
Now, another place where they use the word weight is
-
when you give glory to God. The word glory in
-
the Hebrew is kabad ka'bad just means weight. Another word
-
is honor, honor kabad okay. So that's why when you
-
go to India, and I've gone to India a few times,
-
they put weight on you. No, you know what I'm
-
saying when you come off the Maybe some of you
-
may not have seen it.
-
I'm sure you've seen it somewhere.
-
I came off the airport and they put three garlands
-
on me by the time I walked to the cows
-
walking on this right, What are you doing?
-
Wait?
-
If you honor your parents are and say God bless you,
-
that's not Wait. That's why when you put money into
-
your parents' hands are why do Chinese, especially Chinese people
-
are like to take people for eat, for maccan for
-
food at all occasions because by by the time you
-
finish that Meala, everybody walks out heavier.
-
Are you with me?
-
You can never honor anybody or without putting weight into
-
their lives, even to the cheapest kind. The cheapest kind.
-
Let me to ask tell you it's not bad. It's
-
not bad, he says, the cheapest because it's the easiest kind.
-
A weight of encouragement. Daniel, you're probably one of the
-
most good looking doctors I've ever seen, you know, then
-
he goes out, he goes out, he's a bit waity,
-
you know, like whoa.
-
There's way that's way like do who know why?
-
I feel like right? But I also can happen there
-
anywhere around. You're the ugliest person. Also, weighty words are
-
also very weighty. It's cheap, live, it's cheap. It's either
-
a cheap jab or a cheap or a quick encouragement boost.
-
You're great, fantastic, your worship is sound, was awesome or
-
I love it. The way you say okay, people go
-
away feeling good. Amen, you carry something of a weight.
-
What weight are you putting behind your A lot of
-
Christians like to hope, but don't put weight or substance
-
behind it.
-
Many years ago, a speaker.
-
From America said, I want to show you what substance is.
-
He took out his wallet and I don't know why
-
he took up It was US dollar and I'll take
-
out a fifty ring it now, and he says, I
-
want to let you know. This is very light in paper,
-
but it's very weighty in value. He said, this is substance.
-
Do you put your substance behind your hope? Because a
-
lot of people like to hope without substance. This piece
-
of note, ladies and gentlemen, although it's very light in
-
my hands, it's a couple of.
-
Hours of work, a couple of hours of my life.
-
It's my sweat, it's my need to wake up early
-
in the morning to go to work. I went to
-
the jam for this. This is actually very weighty.
-
What substance do we put behind our hope because there's
-
a lot of wishful thinking but very little weight behind it.
-
Can you get me?
-
This is very important for you to understand because there
-
must be substance that must be It must be weighty,
-
it must be of value.
-
Let's move on. It is also the evidence of things
-
not seen.
-
Okay, for those of you who thought that brought out
-
a fifty, I'm talking about money.
-
I know I'm not.
-
I'm not talking about money, because it can be time,
-
can be talent, it can be you signing up to
-
serve the lot.
-
Give me there. You gotta put some weight, okay. But
-
the evidence one.
-
I like the evidence one because the Lord showed me this,
-
you know, he says, Kenneth, this is how it works.
-
The last two words not seen is what we expect
-
of God. So we haven't seen it yet. We want
-
to see it. We want to see a husband from God.
-
We want to see a wife from God. We want
-
to see kids from God. We want to see money.
-
We want to see a new house. We want to
-
see promotion. We want to see bonus. God hasn't given it,
-
given it. This is how it works. Can I can
-
I show you how it works? Having lived by faith
-
for thirty years now, it was like this. God wants
-
to see evidence in your life before you will ever
-
see evidence in his life.
-
That's how it works. You go to a.
-
Court room and if the judge was God, you want
-
a really good judgment from the judge. At the end,
-
you haven't seen the judgment yet, but before the judgment
-
is given, the judge has to see.
-
Evidence from you first.
-
You do not get the sentence or the or the
-
or the judgment from the judge.
-
Only before before you show your evidence.
-
Are you with me, very vag if you if you
-
understand this, friends, I'll tell you what You're going to
-
really take your Christian life to another level.
-
Let this be the year.
-
Okay, So now let me uh try to finish this
-
whole message with some stories. Are you ready let's let's
-
do it. So let's let's look at some that's already
-
on the on the list. Here water turned to wine.
-
What did the mother say? The mother of Jesus, She said,
-
they have right out of wine.
-
Jesus says, what have I to do with you?
-
Woman?
-
You know, I mean it looks like very it's very rude.
-
Actually in the Greek and Jewish Greek words and Jewish culture,
-
if you read it properly, it was actually a very
-
respectful way. He said it to his mom, his earthly mom.
-
And after he said it to her, she said, the
-
Nike verse. Whatever he tells you, just do it right.
-
And so he walks out. This is Jesus who loves
-
you and he loves me. He will go to any
-
wedding if you invite him. Actually he's too busy for weddings.
-
I think the Lord is too busy for weddings. But
-
he still go no, because he doesn't love the wedding.
-
He loves you.
-
So he comes to the wedding and he said no,
-
why no, for it's all turning away the whole night. Okay, drinking,
-
drinking and drinking, okay, bad decision, wrong budgeting, didn't know
-
so many people were drinking.
-
Out right now.
-
So Jesus actually, after he told his mother, yeah, it's
-
not my time, he actually still did something for the couple.
-
Hallelujah. Do you know this?
-
This? This is the cart God will served that so good?
-
No his time, so still have you know? So he
-
walks out, he sees six empty jars. Now he says
-
to the servants, just watch me. I will wave my
-
hand and whine will come spouting out. No, he didn't
-
do that, you know, he didn't do that. He says,
-
you go ahead and feel those water pots. Feel that feel.
-
So the servants, not knowing who he is, but the mother,
-
is it right? Whatever times you do, do it. So
-
they didn't have obedience, which many of us in this
-
room need to remember that many times we will not
-
understand one.
-
So what they did was they feel the water pots
-
to the half.
-
No they didn't they feel the water pots do the brim,
-
because that's the word feeling up to the top. So
-
our job is just to feel it. According to now,
-
once he reached see this is this is the thing
-
about faith. I've seen it again and again because because
-
the scripture doesn't say that Jesus waved his hand over
-
the six water pots and said some magic words. I
-
didn't hear him saying Jesus name, no, because you know
-
why it's his name.
-
So he didn't have to say that. You know what.
-
He just imagine? You mean, you got to use the
-
imagination by blah. He said, fill up to the top.
-
And as soon as so the water did not turn
-
to wine at half the pot, he did not. He
-
did not even turn the wine at nineteen nine percent.
-
But once the water reached the top, touched the brim
-
and the rim, according to the word of God, it
-
turned into wine. He didn't come did lay hands? You
-
do according to what he says, watch, but you had
-
to do it first. The five lobes and two fish.
-
A boy had to give up his five lowes and
-
two fish before.
-
The five thousand.
-
Do you know the evidence was a five thousand got fed.
-
But that was the thing that we were saying. It
-
was not seen. It is the evidence of things not seen,
-
because although we can't see him.
-
He can see us.
-
And when he sees us, does he see the evidence
-
that we believe he will do it. He's very very
-
important people, because I can go one scripture after the
-
other scripture. You will realize that God wants to see
-
evidence in our lives first, but many Christians go around
-
wanting you see him move first?
-
He done what that way? He works by faith?
-
Because how many of you know a God very easy
-
can answer your prayer, your need like that snap of
-
a finger.
-
Oh, I really want a girlfriend? First? Next to you?
-
Who are you? I'm your girlfriend? Said by God? What's
-
your name? Genie? You know he can't He can't answer
-
what you want?
-
Boyfriend? Wow? Who expect you know? Why is he not?
-
I don't know? But they know? Who are you?
-
I'm yours at your command? I want three children boom
-
or three triplets. Don't even have to give bird come out,
-
stay away or the girls say halloday, Amen, praise God.
-
Don't need any epidurial just boom tree. I want a
-
house Boom. I want a car Ferrari, Oh Lord, I
-
got five children. I forgot Okay, I give you a
-
ferrari MPV Okay, Halleljah, Praise God. Friend, look like Faradi behind,
-
look like MPV people boomer? Do you know that God
-
can answer that seriously? But then you don't need faith?
-
The boy here my five and two faith, my Momay,
-
gave me one for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You know
-
you think, body, it's not just probably on this one meal.
-
No five loaves fish just for lunch. It's worth his
-
lunch and dinner.
-
Here you go.
-
Jesus was saying, oh, great, that's all I need. Give
-
something to God to work with. He's he's waiting to
-
make something right. He's just want something. Give me, give
-
me a give me something to work with. I don't
-
have much. Lord, only five can no problem? Come bring
-
five thousand, and don't forget that he's five thousand men.
-
The Bible says, means that also fed women, also fed children,
-
could have been ten thousands.
-
Next one widow, Elijah, Oh I love this one.
-
No, you must please. What we missed this imagination, okay
-
is famine. The widow is about to die. She's there
-
picking up sticks. Please imagine with me. Let's let's let's
-
let's tell.
-
He said, the.
-
Stories today, okay, stories of fake picking up sticks. And
-
then comes Elijah. Women, Oh, she recognized it's a prophet.
-
Blow my tear still alive. He said, what you're doing?
-
I've picked up sticks a prophet because I'm going to
-
bake with my last bit of flower and oil.
-
And then you know what she said, after I beg
-
my son will and I will eat, and we will die.
-
I think of Chinese there we will die. And then
-
you know what.
-
The prophet, the most sensitive profit you can find, the
-
most compassionate prophet you can find. This is a loving prophet.
-
This is a good prophet who cares about people and
-
cares about his sheep. He says to her, go and
-
do as you say, but give me a little first.
-
He didn't just say give me a little lie. He
-
said give me a little first. However, you know that
-
God is always first, always when always, I think if
-
she didn't take it properly, actually have gone back, turned
-
on her computer, you know, gone to her Facebook and said,
-
I've met today one of the worst prophets that ever
-
I've ever met. I told Hi, I'm gonna tie, And
-
he said, give me some first. You so big deal
-
you're going to ask from heaven?
-
Lie? No, right, I must make I might school for
-
you some more. I'm gonna die. I might school for
-
you first. He is it right? She did it. She
-
did it because she had evidence of things not seen.
-
You know the story.
-
You know, so she's scooping her last flower. She's scooping
-
her last oil. And then she goes back. The next
-
morning she's cood be her last flo. She's could be
-
a last all. The next morning she could be a
-
last flow. Never finish one, because the prophe said, the
-
bin of fly and the job of oil will never
-
run dry. She hasn't seen it, but he has seen
-
her evidence. Next one, we don't, Elijah borrowed theirselves or
-
decanted to. Even better, she said, the creditors are coming
-
to take my sons. And what does Elia say? Because
-
you know, if you are a man and woman of
-
godd and you know that faith is the only way
-
that you can can save you, you will always choose
-
to say things the faith way the other way.
-
Huh, the creditors are coming up, crazy, What are you
-
doing here?
-
Run man for your life, Gila. I got friends, I
-
got friends, I know someone in the police, and I'll
-
call it. We will do that today, he says. Out
-
of the bluer, he says, what do you have left
-
that you can sell? I don't have anything.
-
I got one small job oil. Okay, go borrow vessels
-
as many empty vessels as you can. What uh? Are
-
you okay, elishah, I'm telling you credit coming to think
-
my sons?
-
You are? You want me to go and borrow some
-
more and do what you're thinking? You want me take
-
the empty way up the head of the creditor.
-
No, no, no, no, you just going now again.
-
She couldn't see her, but he could see. I'm asking
-
you today before we close her. What can God see
-
when he sees you?
-
So she goes.
-
She asks a sench for help. Please go and borrow
-
from Antie. Okay, borrow from Auntie money, I'm there, borrow
-
from Auntie.
-
Are king there? Okay? Auntie?
-
Auntie you got empty but those are empty bottles? Uh God,
-
maybe I don't know how many of you know you
-
got empty waters at home. We don't know until we know.
-
I know, we don't know until we know. Sometimes we
-
even have to empty the water then give you no
-
cause supper thing at the neighbors. Son came up, Auntie,
-
empty bottle and d I think my turn on ten
-
doors in the embarrassing and we're still love.
-
When he said, what do you want the empty waterfo
-
young man, I don't know. My mummy asked for you.
-
You gotta ask your Mama want you for said.
-
I also don't know the prophet as and so they
-
stopped probably after ten twenty houses, I don't know.
-
And then they got at the waters and now they
-
start feeling right.
-
And by the way, the oil only stopped when the
-
vessels stop. And I want to encourage all of you
-
in this rumor. If you want the oil to continue
-
pouring into one the tea, make sure the vessels don't
-
stop in this place. The vessels or be available vessels
-
for the Lord, and you will always.
-
See the oil keep flowing. Everybody. Okay, very important, but
-
do first go get the bottles.
-
Okay, Abraham, Isaac, this one already give him a son,
-
promise son, and still want the sun back. I want
-
your son, so Abraham, I don't know. I'll tell you seriously.
-
That's why it's called the Father of faith, because it.
-
Makes no sense. Why wait the so long?
-
You promise this one promised from God? I got it
-
from God. Now God wants it back.
-
How do I not know?
-
It's a satan? No, he knows what's voice. How many
-
of us, seriously, how many of us in his room
-
can get there?
-
God? You give me this you want? God?
-
You give me this promotion? God, you get how many
-
of first can I tick come to say? Lord, you
-
gave you want it back? It's yours.
-
It's not easy. It's not easy.
-
It's not easy because most of the time our eyes
-
are already very much focused on the promotion already, so
-
it's hard to let go. If we can just keep
-
our eyes on the Lord that gave the promotion, and
-
easy to take and easy to give because.
-
Your eyes are ups so you get you don't even
-
know what you get. No, was this in my hand?
-
I don't know a million dollars? Okay? Great, someone wants
-
to back.
-
Okay, because your eyes, your eyes are on the Lord
-
and you're not so caught up with the things that
-
you have or don't have.
-
But once you start to.
-
Get your eyes off the Lord and going like whoa,
-
I want you back right, because it's just too precious now.
-
So Abraham's eyes are on the Lord. You gave me Isaac.
-
You want Isaac back. So I love that.
-
But listen, a lot of people think that the biggest
-
act of faith is Abraham putting his son on the altar.
-
I tell you what real faith is when I read
-
the scripture in Genesis tree two, where we learn worship.
-
You know that worships verse five, right, you know what
-
he said. The servant says, where are you going? Abraham
-
said this I want to get. I want you to
-
get this.
-
This is where the faith really is. Abraham, who knew
-
that God had.
-
Asked him for Isaac, said to his servants, me and
-
the lad go yonder to worship. That's where the first
-
mention of the word worship. And then he says, and
-
we will come back to you. He knew that he
-
idiated sacrifice his son. Why did he say we will
-
come back to you? Because he knew, and he knew,
-
and he knew that even if he killed his son,
-
God can resurrect him. He knew, and he knew, and
-
he knew that he will not come back emptyhended. He knew,
-
and he knew, and he knew. God's promises are yes
-
and amen. He knew and he knew and he knew
-
that no matter what happens on that mount and of worship,
-
I will come back full because my eyes are on
-
a good good God.
-
You're you with me. I don't know why will helpen
-
your mount? I don't know better.
-
I have to take the dagger, and I'll do, you know,
-
stab my son, and and and put the fire and
-
and and I don't know.
-
I don't know.
-
I can't answer every question. But what I know is
-
God is good, He's faithful, and I and the boy
-
will come back.
-
To you. That's hope.
-
That is substance behind the hope. The sun said, there's
-
a fire, there's the dagger. Where's the sacrifice? God will provide,
-
he said, I I didn't even know how to say,
-
only said the Lord will provide. And did not the
-
Lord provide the lamb right or the ram caught in
-
the thicket of the bush. And so God provided.
-
Well.
-
The best kind of worshiper is the worst ship that
-
acknowledges God for who he is and that he is good.
-
God just wants us to so believe that he is good,
-
and He's good all the time, and nothing can ever
-
change that. Abraham understood that and said, even before anything happened,
-
we will come back. You know you can't spirit, no
-
matter what happened to want the tea, we will be back.
-
No matter what happened to ask, we.
-
Will be back. No matter who come stays leave us.
-
You know we will.
-
If you are in the Lord with the Lord, you
-
will come back, and you will come back stronger than
-
ever before. Because now Abraham not only comes back with Isaiac,
-
he comes back with a promise from God that he
-
will give him, you know, stars in the sky, and
-
you know, I will bless you because you didn't hold
-
back your son, your only son. Lord bless him again.
-
It's such a rich manner. And so now he doesn't
-
just come back with Isaiach. He comes back with a
-
future that is so glorious because God was so well
-
pleased with his faith everybody.
-
Okay, let me draw towards the last lap.
-
Let me finish off a few more stories, because I
-
just really want to get the point to you that
-
the evidence do we have evidence in our lives for
-
God to move, give him something to work with.
-
Jesus ask for a man.
-
Jesus goes into a church, right I say, a synagogue,
-
and a man stands there with his hand with it.
-
I don't know how the within hand will bela but
-
you know it's obvious enough he's with it.
-
Okay.
-
Now I'm not trying to make any joke. I'm just
-
trying to say, okay, with it, you know, And then
-
Jesus says that stretch out your hand.
-
What uh sensitive thing to say?
-
I mean, if it was you are, you would go
-
help him, say young his hand first, talk to him
-
for what happened to you actually have?
-
Brother? Jesus is the only the very thing he can't do,
-
no doctor in it.
-
That's what a lot of you are. Sometimes you find
-
that Jesus is quite cruel. Your leaders susee's quite correctly.
-
Why you ask me to do so? Straight out your hand?
-
If everybody, you know, I think someone would have sheltered back. Hello,
-
you can't see.
-
Now?
-
Maybe tears is coming in our eyes? Though? Who is
-
this man? His name is Jesus, He's he hears the blind?
-
Can you see that I can't stretch up my hand.
-
He Jesus doesn't have any other way but faith, and
-
so this guy, thank God he had faith, goes. I
-
don't know if you already enact the Bible, and there's
-
a lot of pass we can play.
-
Now you know what I'm saying.
-
I mean, I really don't try to make any joy,
-
but I just want to make you see that some
-
of us also have that withered hand in our lives.
-
It could be your past would you take a leadership here?
-
He knows the reader I suffered as a leader before.
-
Why is he? Will you take up homes? Leadership? Is here?
-
The last homes failed and he's asking me to stretch forth?
-
Do you understand? And yet he stretched forth, and as
-
as he was stretching forth, his hand grew. Do you understand?
-
You think Jesus has changed his strategy?
-
No, but today, of course it's worse because today there's
-
Facebook and Instagram and camera to go around. See how
-
cruel this man is. That's politically correct, you know. That's
-
why it's so much harder now. And people therefore are
-
kept in that position when they could have been free. Everybody, Okay,
-
this is this is gospel, This is faith, This is Christianity.
-
This is important. Let me go on, he says to
-
the blind man, like this, Why I like so much
-
the blind man?
-
I mean Jesus has actually said before blind has gone,
-
you know, something like that, or maybe like Paula lay
-
hands on his head and then the scales fall down.
-
Is here right, give me my sight?
-
She said, sure, And the black man couldn't see, but
-
he heard the next thing. Jesus spits on the ground.
-
What happened. What happened? What happened? Who's Peter the rover?
-
He is a holy moment? No excuse me, Jesus himself.
-
Speed.
-
Okay, he's bad. He's not China, so so I know. Sorry, okay,
-
poy blah, listen on the ground, on the ground. You know.
-
I love I preached it somewhere else before, but I
-
love that preaching as well, because the lot revealed to
-
me that whatever comes out of God's mouth his power.
-
Uh uh.
-
Man should not live by bread alone, but by every
-
word that proceeds out the mother. So the speed care
-
so that no matter what comes out of his mouth
-
is power. It hits the grin which all of you
-
are made of earth. So a man was made of earth,
-
the woman came over from his rip, so all of it.
-
So whatever comes out.
-
Of his mouth has God to touch the earth. Boom.
-
And then together you mix you and him, and he
-
becomes healing bound. And I can take that if you
-
are willing. If you are willing, you get touched by
-
God's mouth today.
-
Boom. He takes the clay he makes.
-
And if you are willing, he's going to take that,
-
and he's going to apply to the blindness of the
-
of the world. That's why your office colleagues are going
-
to be blessed, because you are clay that God will put.
-
Now so he takes listener. I can't imagine it happening
-
during the COVID time. Is so unhygienic. He spins on
-
the ground, he makes he he reaches out for his
-
spit and the clay.
-
Listen, this is not easy. What's Jesus doing now, He's.
-
Actually picking up his spit together with the earth and
-
his being in his hands. Getting in the Bible is
-
saying he's melted don and one of his disciples whispent
-
this year. I'll give you a hand sanitizer later.
-
No no, no, no, no no no no no no
-
no no.
-
The last time I talked about this, someone in the
-
crowd went because they can't imagine you're playing with your speed.
-
They say, owd color person. You know you see how
-
people I think it was green, and it was green.
-
You know, green speaks of life, you know, Jesus. Jesus said,
-
that's all true. No, listen, with young people, you can
-
go crazy like I thought, Yeah, he splits something green
-
out and no, no, no, she's just so here here
-
we go, here we go. This is this is the
-
this is the this is the real cringe cringture. And
-
thank god the man was blind.
-
You know what I said?
-
You know what if I say, some of you need
-
to be blind today. Seriously, you need to be blind
-
to see goes with the girl because your eyes are
-
too open. Your more lord covid time.
-
You know? Now you know what? What was the realist? One?
-
MPV HMPV or whatever. Okay, he can cannot know. Put
-
the mask on. No, no, that's my eyes. But that's
-
your eyes, doctor, that's my So he put it.
-
He rubs, He rubbed the clay into his eyes and
-
then says, go wash in the pool of selm.
-
Hey, give him last some water to wash.
-
You are kind, loving pastor, right, give him the buck,
-
give him the mineral water butter to wash his eyes.
-
No, no, no, no, I need to see evidence because
-
this won't work. Go and wash in the poo. Tell
-
you what you asked the blind man to go?
-
Wash?
-
Where? Which direction? My ma? Who is this again?
-
Jesus? He spared, put the clay in my eyes. Now
-
ask we're going to wash. But listener. When he went,
-
he found the pool I'm sure people help him. And
-
then he washed, and as soon as he was doing that,
-
according to the word of God, Jesus wasn't even beside him, saying, oh,
-
let me now pray over you lay my hands on.
-
He did according to the word of God. And as
-
soon as he washed, he saw so too many of
-
us are waiting for America. We should be walking America.
-
I know my time is up.
-
I just give you one or two more. Hey, he
-
asked Peter to launch out to the deep. The fisherman
-
was taught by the carpenter how to fish, he said,
-
He said, we have toiled all night.
-
He didn't even use the word fish all night.
-
Thought he's a hole sun fulo very hard with toil
-
all night and caught nothing. Now washing the net, already
-
washing the net. You know, every time I change my
-
big sheet, I just change it. Say change my big sheet.
-
I do the bit she changing because I'm quite good
-
at it, and my bait is heavy, so you know
-
I carry it. I got three pilows on my side
-
and three pilos my wife's side, And so she said
-
to me, I hope you can change Say.
-
Yeah, I'll change it.
-
The hardest one is to change the comforter, because you
-
take two percent to change. But no, I'm sort of
-
a prona. But my only demand of my wife before
-
she can even touch a bit, is wash your hair,
-
because I want our both our hair to be clean,
-
to sleep on clean pillows.
-
Are you with me?
-
It's a funny, it's a funny thing, but I i's
-
so sunful idea, so bastakingly put new sheets, please, even
-
my my pajamas that is new, because I want to
-
touch the brand new. I tell you, the smell is
-
so good. It comes from the the cleaners, you know.
-
Oh it's beautiful smell. It smells like a hotel. Oh,
-
I'm telling you. And so I put everything new so
-
that at least the first night we do justice to
-
my labor of love. And so my wife washed the hair,
-
as saying, I wash mine, and we slept on clean pillows,
-
meeting clean pillows with a clean head. This guy has
-
washed his net already because all the seaweed through the netting.
-
Very difficult to pull out the seaweed. And here's a
-
carpenter telling him how to fish.
-
I wash. I don't want to do anything else with it.
-
Can or not? Can? I just hang it up. I wash.
-
You don't understand about washing netsla, you know how dirty
-
it was not you know all the grime and all
-
I washed it already, Launch out into the deep and
-
let down your nets for again.
-
This is this is late morning. Lord. Nevertheless, you say, nevertheless,
-
at your word, we will do it.
-
Launched out, put in the net according to God's word,
-
according to God's word. Now can pull it up because
-
it's full and they're sinking. They have to call their
-
partners to come. Are you all stay with me?
-
Guys?
-
Faith is very exciting right now. It's one of the
-
most exciting life to live them than you. And yet
-
too few Christians live it because every day we live
-
by facts. Boss say this, I say that, Boss, let
-
me left. I slapped him right. Uh.
-
My wife like this.
-
I like that. We all go by side. Children naughty,
-
you know whatever? My head five four ministry coming down.
-
You know you're not nice to me. I'm not nice
-
to you, for ted I for iye, we live that.
-
I think sometimes we have more faith buying a house.
-
You know why we pay a huge depositor getting a thing.
-
All we have is a brochure. But here you go
-
ten percent one hundred thousand ring, but do you get
-
one break? And the Lord asks us to do the same.
-
We cannot.
-
Evidence right of things, not seeing of things hoped for. Okay, okay, good.
-
I want to tell you about things where this church
-
was concerned. We grew to three hundred and we stopped,
-
and you know the story. The Lord says to me, Kenneth,
-
you want the church to grow.
-
I say yes.
-
Lord says, I want you to excise faith. I says yes,
-
so I will excise face. Just tell me what to do.
-
Go out through the streets, preach evangelized tree vangelism. He say, no,
-
you give up the twelve thousand ringing that the detto
-
giving you every month. I said, Lord, what does giving
-
up the money had to do with the numbers? He says,
-
just trust me. So I remember writing the Dato email.
-
When he caught me, scolded me, you think my money.
-
That is it?
-
I said, no, no, no, I don't your money that
-
But God told me, Oh, really, God told you what
-
we will see. Put it on the phone. We'll see
-
beat so fast. Elder Ka came into the room. How
-
did you finally called that dog?
-
I said, I just did. He's calling me.
-
Oh, let's go to you a white person, I said,
-
because he thinks that I think his money is that.
-
But I didn't say that. I just said the Lord
-
told me. I don't understand. No, I've got bills to pay.
-
I need fifteen thousand a month. He gives me twelve.
-
I get the other three thousand from the small group
-
of young people that we have because Extiras was only
-
about thirty young people.
-
Forty young people, right, young people means no money. Okay.
-
So the thing is that the offering not by the
-
time half the half manday money. Not nobody in the
-
offering no more, because the students themselves are gimme while offering.
-
They have to give you, right yeah, uh so not easy.
-
I need three thousand to give me twelve thousand and UK.
-
First time I saw him crying on kare, don't cry
-
one so easily. He's still coming, he's trying to hold
-
it back. I said, don't worry. If God said so,
-
he will come through. My heart's beating so fast because
-
I've never seen him do this thing, you know, provide
-
like that. And then Elder comes into my office again
-
two weeks later, the time where I supposed to sign
-
checks to pay salary, pay bills, pay the rental, elther
-
king comes in faster. I just counted the offering for
-
the month. You don't you won't believe it, I said,
-
why tell me, there's thirteen thousand ring it more in
-
the offering this month. I just gave up, child, I said, Hallelujah,
-
God give us one extra. Both of us just stood
-
there crying, God so faithful. Then next month he comes
-
into my office a gain. I don't know how it happened,
-
twenty six thousand ringing more in the offering. Where's it
-
coming from. Then by the third month, when he was
-
thirty three thousand more in offering, I said, Ky, seriously,
-
you've got to find out where he comes from.
-
And he found out.
-
You found out that there are about five six seven
-
of our own young adults got six one bonus, seven
-
month bonus, eight brothers. So I realized that when the
-
pastor continues to obey the lotter, the people get blessed.
-
The people will get blessed, so they're giving more. But
-
the real crunch is this the real beautiful test the
-
bays this. In just six months, our church grew from
-
three hundred to six hundred people double.
-
Double, because I tell you, at the end of the day,
-
you know who fills these seeds, not you, not me.
-
The Bible says he added daily to the church. Those
-
are being saved. So if you please God, you think
-
it's very hard for him to feel the seed. He
-
can feel the whole back rower, snap of finger. All
-
he wants you and I to do is faith. Why
-
because faith pleases him and when he's pleased, there's nothing
-
that he will not do. Fastest church growth ever, No,
-
three hundred to six hundred in six months. No book
-
can teach you this. And I didn't give free food.
-
Oh everybody will come to a church, get a free iPhone?
-
Oh no, no, nothing, no free if yes, faith because
-
faith creates, faith creates numbers money.
-
Hallelujah, hallelujah.
-
Daniel, Do I tell you a story about how and
-
this this probably be my last one, because I think
-
the time is gone ready, the story of how X
-
got the communing At one time struggled with people not
-
coming to church on Sunday. They shared it. Okay, I'll
-
share this because I think I'd be interesting for us
-
to know. So X name, by the grace of God,
-
grew from fourteen people. Today we have about one hundred
-
and eighty. But when we about one hundred people, the
-
church was growing every week, new people coming, new people coming,
-
prices low. Then for seven weeks I was away, I
-
was doing the different things. I was away, and when
-
I came back, it was the seventh week of away
-
and Edward pun our usher head, said to me, faster, Uh,
-
just want to let you know, for the past five
-
six weeks are no newcomer, not even one. I say, why,
-
I don't know. We're praying, we're praying, but we're all
-
very discouraged because every week had newcomer.
-
So I said, okay, but you're you're not don't not
-
sure why? Yeah, not sure why?
-
We're trying anal we're trying, we're praying, and then we're
-
also advertising whatever.
-
So I tell you if it's the truth, because this
-
is my story.
-
I walk into church the seventh week or the eighth week, Sunday,
-
and I'm getting ready to do the pre wordship preyer
-
because at that time I was still the CPC. And
-
I walked in as I passed a welcome table. So
-
I passed a welcome table. God stop me, this is
-
kind of you want to know the problem.
-
I'll show you.
-
So I started the welcome table, and I said, show
-
me that, lord, a welcome table, a very nice way.
-
They decorated very nicely, the nice cloth all that. Then
-
it's a welcome back. You're the heavy heals what Then
-
there is this you a welcome card, newcomers card, uh
-
Salvation card, and a pencil bend or.
-
I said, it's nice in my mind? Is nice?
-
What's wrong? He said, I'm going to tell you what's wrong?
-
He says, look properly. So then, of course the revelation
-
gave to me. There was one welcome back, one newcomer's card,
-
one Salvation card, one pencil.
-
Everything was one. When I left, it was not one.
-
It was five.
-
Everything was five. And then I said, do you know
-
sometimes we can just go on with the motion of
-
just putting it on the table because we have to.
-
But whether or not we believe that you will all
-
translate into lives, that is not sure.
-
So the lot told me that's the problem. Deal with
-
it today.
-
So I say, okay, all right, I gotta deal with
-
it gently, right because people are all volunteers. We don't
-
want to scold them. We just want to see whether
-
we can all learn from this. So I took the microphone.
-
I say, guys, we're about to pray to the normal
-
prayer list, all right, pray for all ourch just blah
-
blah blah blah. I say, I've got one thing to
-
do before, I said, I heard that newcomers have not
-
been coming.
-
I know that a lot of you are discouraged and disappointed.
-
But maybe we have been so discouraged and disappointed that
-
they become to a place whereby we feel like maybe
-
they won't come up also today, so let's just put
-
one out. You could be praying until the cows come home,
-
but if you don't believe in what you pray, it's.
-
Not going to happen. So I said, I'm not blaming anybody.
-
I love you guys.
-
You know I love you guys. We build this church together,
-
by the grace of God. We're all in this together.
-
But I want to tell you what God just told me,
-
And I tell you, one by one, their hits went
-
down because they knew that after a while it was convenience.
-
Because if nobody was gonna come, why put five back out?
-
I have to if I put one out, easy to pack.
-
But you're also asking for nobody coming up same. Sorry,
-
it's very funny because of why I was speaking at
-
the x Menna, one person heard it and then later repented.
-
At the back there he.
-
Told one of our leaders, are, uh, please tell Pastor
-
Saria that our expresso food I cut half today. I said, no, no, no, no,
-
I said, I didn't even know I even know you
-
had express of food cut half. I think person's speaking
-
to me, And no, he's not speaking to you. He
-
didn't even know by expresso. He's speaking now expressos only
-
later he said, But I no, no, no, because I
-
was told it was last week when I prepare a lot,
-
you know half was wasted, so we cut down. How
-
many of you have ever lived like that? It's very
-
natural our attitude, right, like for e double you will
-
promise a promotion and then the promotion doesn't come, so
-
you work very hard after and when the promise is
-
not fulfilled, then you you step back and go like
-
maybe I won't want so hot. And it applies to
-
everything else in your life. You come to a place
-
where by the environment changes your attitude the environment.
-
And so I said, can I have.
-
Two ushes carry the welcome table? You're going to dedicate
-
it to the altar today. So the two guys are
-
very gingerly and carefully because everything was already arranged, so
-
they didn't want to rearrange it. So they're carrying it
-
at word and somebody else as it comes. Possibly, we
-
have never done this. I need to do something, I said, Lord.
-
We dedicate this welcome table to you, but more importantly,
-
we dedicate our hearts. Help us continue to believe no
-
matter what the external tell us. We don't live by sight,
-
live by faith. So help us lot and forgive us
-
if you have to, for our lack of faith. But Lord,
-
from today always we're gonna have a different enditude. And
-
then what happened was they all they all caught it,
-
they all received it. They all yeah, we all repented together.
-
We all said, Lord, from the day, always make it different.
-
And then before the table was brought out to the
-
front back again, we lay hands on every empty chair,
-
so everybody moved, you know, lay hands Lord. Let my
-
auntie come and sit under here, Let my sister come
-
and see here, Let my brother, let my neighbor come,
-
and every chair was prayed for.
-
Okay, halle Jah, praise God. That day is Selva.
-
You know that day it's ever five newcomers, five and
-
Edward and the whole ushers team, the hosting team are
-
never the same again because they saw how God honesty
-
five new comers on that day. So yesterday I met
-
Edward for lunch. I said, Edward, how are you're still
-
doing the same thing. We have never stopped. We always
-
go to the welcome table. We pray because as we
-
pray for the workcome table, we actually pray for ourselves
-
to make sure that we continue to believe. And then
-
when we ask, God can answer.
-
So we condue.
-
But five, yeah, maybe once or twice there were no people.
-
You'll go up and down, but your fake can all
-
go up and down. Your faith must remain constant. Father,
-
in the name of Jesus, I thank you so much.
