  1. You're listening to a message to go from ex church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your d.

  3. I am tied it. Let's kop come on, let's keep

  4. up okay. Let's k P O P O ka pop.

  5. But I am not doing no K pop for you today.

  6. Let's KP pop okay, because that's just like my tofu.

  7. This is just to help you remember the points. Amen, hallelujah,

  8. Let's K pop okay. And so I have a question

  9. for let's keep up okay. Am I gonna share who

  10. about what? I don't know many? I don't know many

  11. people except for bts but not got new benzod, no

  12. new names. Yeah, you don't know who. So I cannot

  13. tell you about the K pop people, but I want

  14. to tell you about somebody else. Amen, let's keep up.

  15. So a question for us? This is a good this

  16. is a good reminder message. I feel my role all

  17. the time is to remind the believers, like Paul, to

  18. remind the believers, are remind you and just want to

  19. build our faith to go deeper and grow stronger and

  20. in my time without tofu, but be tough, tough, top tofus,

  21. top tofus, Okay, All right, I have a question. Are

  22. you constantly looking behind? Are you constantly looking behind? All right?

  23. That's my snake slight? Please? Are you constantly looking behind

  24. as you are moving in life? Do you look behind

  25. all the time? Look behind all the time. You can't

  26. have that guid, it's not yours? Okay, he girls, forget it.

  27. I don't know who is he anyway? Are you constantly

  28. looking behind as you move in your life? Or are

  29. you pressing forward? Are you pressing forward? Going forward? Right?

  30. Like these guys? Are you pressing forward as you and

  31. I journey to this life? Amen? And that's the question

  32. I want us to think about, because sometimes we say

  33. we're okay, but actually you're looking at life, looking backwards

  34. all the time, looking behind you all that, and then

  35. it's hard to move forward. It's hard. So you stay,

  36. you stand it and say I'm okay, but actually you're

  37. not okay because you're constantly looking behind you? Or are

  38. you pressing forward despite what's behind you? That your past

  39. seems to want to catch up with you? But you

  40. press forward? So that's our message today, And we're taking

  41. this from Philippians chapter three and reading from verse ten

  42. to fourteen. Amen. So if you've got your bibles. Turn

  43. to Philippians chapter three, verse ten to fourteen, and I'm

  44. reading it today from NLT New Living Translation. Amen. Okay,

  45. so breaking down the English a little bit today. So

  46. Philippians chapter three, verse ten to fourteen, are you ready

  47. to urch are you with us? Amen? Here we go.

  48. I read for you. Huh. I'm reading from New Living

  49. Translation today, it says. Paul writes. Paul writes apostle Paul,

  50. Saint Paul. I want to know Christ and experience the

  51. mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want

  52. to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that

  53. one way or another I will experience the resurrection from

  54. the dead verse twelve. I don't mean to say that

  55. I have already achieved these things, or that I've already

  56. reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection

  57. for which Christ first possessed me. Amen. And then Paul says, no,

  58. dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it. But

  59. I focus on this one thing forgetting the past and

  60. looking forward to what lies ahead. I press on to

  61. reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly

  62. prize for which God, through Christ Jesus is calling us

  63. amen to the reading of God's word. Shot a few verses,

  64. and this is Philippians. Now you could read the whole background,

  65. the whole chapter, but I'm pulling out this with and

  66. our reference back and forth. Paul wrote this letter to

  67. the church in Philippi at the time when he was

  68. in prison. It was time of suffering. And yet the

  69. Book of Philippians, you see, it ends with telling the

  70. believers rejoice, and again I say rejoice, and again I

  71. say rejoice, rejoice, while having chains both on his feet,

  72. probably in the deepest of darkest dungeon. I don't know

  73. Paul was in prison, but he tells all of us

  74. to rejoice. He's telling the church in Philippi rejoice. Despite

  75. all that he was going through, he kept encouraging the church. Amen.

  76. And so you know he says in this whole verse

  77. from the ten to fourteen, he speaks about what he

  78. you know, even his own faith is doing that same thing.

  79. And that's why he says, I want to know Christ

  80. and to experience the mighty power that raised him from

  81. the dead, and I want to suffer with him, sharing

  82. with his death. So I'm gonna go through these verses

  83. and that these were gonna be my K pop and

  84. and so the first point I am taking from the

  85. verse uh is the first verse ten, which says I

  86. want to know Christ. I wanna know you more. I

  87. wanna know you more. Amen. We sang that at homes

  88. I want to know Christ. Paul says, you know, and

  89. that's our first k That's where the K pop comes from. Now,

  90. when Paul writes this whole scenario, he's taking it from

  91. an athletic background. CG. You're you know, you're in sports.

  92. There's so much running involved, right, And Paul is taking

  93. this whole, this whole a teaching and lesson through a

  94. spotting background, the athletic kind of scenario. But it starts

  95. with him saying I want to know God. I want

  96. to know God. Right, is there a deep desire for us,

  97. a deep desire to pursue Christ Church to actually say

  98. I want to know Christ, I want to know God,

  99. I want to know you more. Hunger And thus I

  100. asked myself this question, do I hunger? And thus these

  101. are real? These are you know, illustrations of words that

  102. describe our desire for the Lord. And Paul says, I

  103. want to know. I want to know Christ. Do you

  104. want to know Christ? So he says in this verse,

  105. I want to know Christ, and I want to experience

  106. the mighty power or the resurrection power. Amen, because the

  107. same power it was the power of Christ, the power

  108. of God that raised Christ from the dead. Then he says,

  109. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death.

  110. We just saying I want to suffer. Right the song

  111. just now right share and is suffering? Wow, how many

  112. believers in Christ will say that? So that one way

  113. or another, he says, I will experience the resurrection from

  114. the dead. So, the beloved of the Lord, as you

  115. sit here, if you want to go deeper, we have milk,

  116. but we need to have meat, and I'm gonna throw

  117. you some steak today. Okay, you want some cap pop? Yes,

  118. you go. The key is to know God. So the

  119. to know God really is our highest goal. If you

  120. sit down, think about it. Okay, I don't mean to

  121. call you by name, but Rogers, you've taken another step

  122. of your level of faith to know God. How God

  123. has come through for you a little bit more. You

  124. don't know everything, but become a little bit more closer.

  125. Or this is the God This is not only God,

  126. He is my father. He provides on the eighth of May,

  127. if number of new beginnings come on. You want to

  128. know Christ not only in the power, but also in

  129. the suffering. It's a tough time first, then to go

  130. through with your dad in your own journey of faith.

  131. That is your suffering. Because it is not easy to

  132. take care of a patient or a parent who has

  133. lost his mind already. It is a suffering. How do

  134. you do that? How do you handle that most of

  135. us one day will have to take care of our parents.

  136. You cannot run away from it. It feels like a suffering.

  137. It feels. But see Paul is saying, I don't just

  138. want I I want to experience the power, but I

  139. also want to experience the suffering in order that I

  140. may know God. Amen. So if you remember my to

  141. ful series or just a story, it was about resilience,

  142. isn't it. This is where we have to be resilient

  143. in times. I need to know God so that I

  144. am stable in Him. Amen. So our ultimate priority is

  145. to really know God. Amen. Is to know God? Is that?

  146. Your priority is to know God on your everyday life.

  147. I want to know God, Oh, your highest priority is

  148. to you know, to know someone else, to know our

  149. you know, topic of the topic that you're studying, the

  150. topic or whatever, your you know, your work. But is

  151. your highest priority is it to know God? Because we

  152. want to know Christ more. We want to know Christ

  153. better so that you and I can be like him. Ultimately,

  154. this is this whole thing about disciple ship, is that

  155. we might know God so that we can be more

  156. like him. To know Christ and to be more like him,

  157. to be like Jesus, to be like Jesus. All I

  158. want is to be like him. Wow hard to sing

  159. that song because I'm not like Jesus. And that's why

  160. a lot of believers I don't even want to use

  161. the word Christian. I want to say, believers, if you

  162. are a believing, a follow up Christ. We will find

  163. his shy to say, follow Mila as I follow Christ.

  164. Paul was so brave to say it. Was he perfect? No,

  165. he was a man. I think he was also a

  166. high deep person. Right. He wanted things done and done now,

  167. so he wouldn't put out with John Mount you left

  168. us you bye bye? Right, But Barnabus probably was a

  169. high s or a I ain never compassion comes out non.

  170. He's like the painholer. Yeah. Between me and I'm an eye.

  171. He's eye, but very compassionate. Never my life, I say no, no, no,

  172. mean no. Are we perfect? We have all our personalities,

  173. but we don't live by personalities. We live by character,

  174. the character of Christ. I can be this, you can

  175. be that. It doesn't matter. Paul had his thing. I

  176. think he will lose his temper if you've laughed at him,

  177. will slap you. All right, he was quacky one of

  178. the things done this way. That's our personality. But our

  179. character is a character of Christ. That's what he's asking

  180. you to follow, not his personality, his character. And you'll

  181. see that at the end of this versus later. I

  182. want to know Christ because as I know Christ, I

  183. will be like him. So my encouragement to us is

  184. for us to desire to pursue Christ. Amen, Judge, whatever

  185. you're pursuing. Were just saying, we can gain the whole world,

  186. and we lose our soul. We've lost it all you think,

  187. taking to the grave, all your goal and silver. I'm sorry.

  188. Your child will inherit it. I hope your child will

  189. inherit it. We build for our next generation. That's fine,

  190. we cannot take anything, but what we will have, as

  191. we will read later, is Christ and eternal life. Amen.

  192. So the person is giving us eternal life, that is

  193. whom we should know more and more, more and more

  194. so that as you know Christ, you know how he works.

  195. When you know Christ, you know how God loves you.

  196. You won't go with like that. God's gonna hit me.

  197. I just did the wrong thing. Oh I sin, No,

  198. I failed. God's gonna hit me. No, He's not like

  199. that kind of a Papa God, Daddy. God, He's not

  200. like that at all. He is so generous, patient, like

  201. a zillion times patient, not even one hundred and one

  202. times a zillion times patient, with the whole generation of

  203. mankind his creation. God does not take us down to Chinatown. Yes,

  204. I told this in another service, and I said, why

  205. do we pob We say take us down to Chinatown,

  206. And my friend was sitting, so we say, you're the

  207. lady behind it, because there's tofu in Chinatown. God is

  208. that kind of a God, a father who is beyond

  209. our earthly father, which we will never understand. And sometimes

  210. we look at our earthly fathers and see lack. But

  211. God is a limitless unlacking God his fullness. Amen. So

  212. that's for therefore we want to know Christ. We want

  213. to experience God's resurrection power. But even then, Church, you

  214. don't even go close enough to experience his power. You

  215. suck it. You don't pray for healing first. You go

  216. and see I'm not wrong to go see doctor. All,

  217. go see doctor, But you not pray first. When you

  218. have a circumstances in your life. Do you seek God first?

  219. Because you know He is the ultimate He is the

  220. ultimate answer for you already and Dan, he will direct

  221. a path to which doctor to go right, not simply

  222. any doctor. Love, Let's go to the right one it

  223. will help us, or to that person, or to that company,

  224. or to death, whoever, what is right? I want to

  225. know Christ. Have you even experienced the power of God?

  226. Come on, judge the power of God, the power of

  227. Christ to heal you, to open doors for you to

  228. see him, give your new beginnings. Amen to God. I'm

  229. saying I really want to move in the gifts when

  230. a minister to people, I don't want to be lifeless

  231. and powerless and do ministry for what It's not just

  232. for me, for each and every one of us, us

  233. in our workplace. When someone tells you they're not well, you,

  234. I hope we have the brave heart, the brave heart,

  235. mel Gibson, brave heart, and say, can I pray for you?

  236. Can I tell you how Jesus heal me? But you

  237. both tell because you boer right, You're not there. You're

  238. not there with Christ. You're seeing all right? You you

  239. when you don't experience, you only theory. But we want

  240. from the head to the heart. We cannot give theory.

  241. But then allah believe I say, I need no theory.

  242. I better not saying thing. Come on, let's move from

  243. theory to practical, right and on you you don't know.

  244. I know Christ, but I don't really know. If you provide,

  245. then pursue him, then pursue him. When you next get

  246. a headache, pray first and test whether the headache will go.

  247. Pray one more time now, Rynod, Rynod, can first time

  248. you met Emilia? First time she said yes to human? Yes,

  249. I don't know. I don't know. Okay, you try again? Right? Ah,

  250. we have you have to do more than one time? Right,

  251. But I want to know you more? How can I

  252. know Christ more? Number one? The king in my pop

  253. to know Christ, to know Christ, to come deeper, to

  254. to to experience both the resurrection power, and of course

  255. we're talking about there's so much suffering. Hey, Jesus suffered

  256. for us too. So when he went to the cross,

  257. everyone thought this is a loser. He talked about, you know, raising,

  258. healing the sake, da da da he could you know,

  259. uh in three days time resurrect They couldn't see it.

  260. The followers or his followers were like, isn't he the

  261. king was gonna, you know, get give us back the kingdom,

  262. the Great Grand Kingdom that David and King Solomon head.

  263. They lost faith, they probably regretted following this man. Many

  264. walked away on that faithful day, faithful day, not faithful,

  265. but faithful day. There was Jesus suffering also, He also

  266. suffered while he walk people. Not everybody likes him. You

  267. think everybody likes liked him? Now, so if nobody not

  268. everybody likes you, it's okay. You say I'm like Jesus. Okay,

  269. not everyone likes you. Then you say I'm following Jesus,

  270. I'm like my lord. Amen. All right, Yeah, So if

  271. you know we want everyone that like us, all of

  272. us want somebody like us, not desirable. Oh yes, Jesus

  273. did not look like Charu Khan.

  274. Yah.

  275. Yeah, he didn't look like some French Francois. You know,

  276. he looked like his common guide and nobody could recognize.

  277. I don't know if you and I met Jesus where

  278. we even passed him by right, because he looked like

  279. nobody exceptional. Maybe I have some exceptional looks, maybe you know,

  280. maybe you know mix blood. But God brought a very

  281. common body to hold, to carry his son. Jesus offered love.

  282. He's canalla his own. People say, no, I don't know

  283. what this willow gopned the son? Do? You and I?

  284. As we mature in our faith, my encouragement is experience

  285. the power and continue to experience the power and let

  286. the power God flow through you because Holy spirits filled you.

  287. There's power to share the gospel, to heal the sick,

  288. to do your work, to have wisdom, to be able

  289. to do amazingly well. God gives you power to make wealth.

  290. All of that, but also when you go through the

  291. tough times, if you've never experienced failure. We're talking to

  292. a doctor yesterday and the boyfriend said she's never failed before,

  293. so she has no clue what it means to fail.

  294. She's like laughing, haha, it's brilliant student, top student. Right,

  295. but when you fail, Wow, you understand the other person

  296. who fails. It's not bad to fail. It just means

  297. your next step is success. It does when you don't

  298. keep looking at the failure, Amen, and you get better.

  299. So there is suffering. But would you want to know

  300. dwelling a bit longer? Because the foundation is to know Christ.

  301. To know Christ at any stage of our lives, whether

  302. we are younger, older, there's no old, and there's no young,

  303. there's just younger and older. Yay okay, Amen, right, and

  304. Christ wants to build this relationship with us. Amen, So

  305. to know Christ, as Paul says, I want to know

  306. Christ so that I can be like Christ. I can

  307. be more like Jesus a man to grow to mature

  308. were in our personal growth. Paul was all about encouraging

  309. everyone to grow in their personal growth. This is our

  310. desire to see each and every one of you grow

  311. in your personal growth. And it will. It will show

  312. a fruit tree that bears fruit. Everyone can see. Tell

  313. the dury and stop bearing fruit. You Tryler cannot cannot.

  314. I have to bear fruit you when you are growing

  315. beautifully in the Lord, despite the resurrection powers, all the suffering,

  316. you will grow and people will experience Christ's likeness through

  317. your life. Amen. Again, judge stop judging each other. We

  318. are not perfect and think the greatest judgment we get

  319. is in the church actually really not outside. We judge

  320. each other very heavily, to the point that we have

  321. no courage to show up. We have no courage. We say,

  322. oh you, my brother sister would judge me. And so

  323. we stop sharing testimonies, we stop sharing our pain. We stop.

  324. We are too afraid and a shame. Jesus says, if

  325. you've never ever seen and you take the stone and

  326. you stone dembler, we are so afraid and a shame.

  327. So when I do share pictures of my life and

  328. my past, I don't know. Some people like to TM

  329. I DM I, But the TMI, the difficulty, the failures,

  330. the arrogance, the whatever, is to help someone see that

  331. even through that, Christ is here for us, not against us,

  332. to transform our lives. Amen. So my key in the

  333. pop is to know Christ. I hope you remember the

  334. k no go deeper intimate producing the life of Christ

  335. in us to know the word in Hebrew to know

  336. is to have intimacy so deep a relationship that it

  337. produced Adam knew Eve, and it produced. When you know

  338. Christ and the intimate, intimate walk with Christ, you produce

  339. christ likeness, the fruit of the spirit. Amen. If you

  340. have no fruit, you and I cannot see the fruit.

  341. Maybe we're not going intimate enough with the Lord. Amen.

  342. We need to want to merge our lives. The urge

  343. too much. Don't love in an not human being, urge

  344. too merch with Jesus. Cannot, cannot, cannot know the young

  345. people in the room, Amen, what what what you are

  346. to merge to get into the life of Christ. Amen.

  347. Number one is to I want to know Christ. Second,

  348. also today was from verse ten, to know to experience

  349. his resurrection power and his sufferings the next point number two.

  350. But I also want to say, I think it's part

  351. of the song that we sang when you want to

  352. know Christ, the share is sufferings. Is the other thing

  353. I wanted to say from the song as well, is

  354. we take up our cross, Take up your cross and

  355. follow Jesus. Take up your cross and follow Jesus. Cannot

  356. run away. You don't want to take up your cross,

  357. you cannot follow Jesus. What's your cross? What's your cross? Brand, Sisters,

  358. that thing that challenges you? Take up your cross and

  359. follow Christ. You know, sometimes your cross could be your shyness.

  360. I'm very shylah. Sometimes your cross could be the challenge

  361. that you're going through in your family, in your life.

  362. What's your cross? The cross could be the persecution that

  363. just because you are a believer and the only believer

  364. in your family, that's your cross. But would you take

  365. up that cross and follow Christ? Amen? Take up that cross?

  366. I think we sang it. Take up across and follow

  367. Jesus because it matters more. Nothing else matters. All that

  368. you think everyone will judge you in this world, it

  369. will mean nothing than to see Christ at the end

  370. of the finishing line. If we were looking as an athlete,

  371. there will be a finishing line which brings us the

  372. point too, it says in verse twelve, Paul says, I

  373. haven't achieved it yet. I'm not there yet. I'm not

  374. perfect yet. But I'm being perfected. But what do I do?

  375. I press on, I press on, come on, tell a neighbor,

  376. press on, press on, tell you all the neighbor. Press on,

  377. press on, press on, Amen, to press on, to pursue, Yeah,

  378. you can show the slide to the word here means

  379. to pursue, to speed on earnestly when you're on the track.

  380. If you, if you, if you're like boom straight away

  381. at the two hundred, three and four hundred. Sometimes even

  382. a marathon, you can't. You got to speed on earnestly, steadily.

  383. You're a a marathon, a marathon of life. We're not

  384. doing hundred meters in life. Hundred meters you're going to

  385. heaven really Alilujah, but fortunately not happening. But it's a

  386. marathon of life. You put your now and you're like sprint.

  387. Now you're not sprint. You run so weekly one hundred

  388. meters we a marathon, you lose it all, you'll just die.

  389. But to press on, you know, is there's something that

  390. there's some challenge, but you gotta press on and you

  391. keep running. Okay, okay, slower slower some days, a bit

  392. faster other times it's scroller, but you still move right.

  393. You want to finish the race. Amen, It is to

  394. pursue right to know God. You want to pursue to

  395. speed on earnestly, to speed on, or to move with

  396. with speed, not not just stop all right, No, to

  397. just pursue, to speed on, to take it steadily. Amen.

  398. So pauses I press on? I press on using the

  399. pictures I said of athletic race, a race, a foot race,

  400. a marathon. You keep on, and it says here I

  401. press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus

  402. first possessed for me. Hallelujah. Amen. So you press on

  403. because you are going forward despite the challenges in front

  404. of you. Going forward. James chapter one, verse two to

  405. three says, counted all joy when you encounter all sorts

  406. of trials testings.

  407. But all this will produce perseverance, Amen, will produce a

  408. fruit of righteousness. But while you're going to the trials,

  409. are you how to press on? I might as you

  410. just give up, but you press on. Your faith is

  411. of great value. Your faith in Jesus is of great value.

  412. Amen. I hope you're writing down something. I hope you're listening.

  413. My k and my pop is to know God. My pin.

  414. My pop is to press on, press on. Amen. Amen,

  415. you just have asked a lot for joy to face

  416. the trials of life not easy when you're going through

  417. the tough times, and it's testing after testing after testing,

  418. no fun, not nice. The exam. Of course, the joy

  419. will be when you get all asl No, yeah, all right,

  420. receive it all right. We keep the focus on the

  421. finishing line, and we just until I see the finishing line.

  422. Then it's done. Jesus is said, the finishing line. So

  423. it's a it's there's no real finishing line on earth flower,

  424. but it's it's a it's a spiritual finishing line that

  425. when we see the Lord, whether he comes back, when

  426. he returns and we get caught up with him, or

  427. if we go first, then we go into the presence

  428. of God. Fingers crossed a man follow Christ all the way.

  429. But we press on big. Pressing on means there's some kindreance.

  430. So you need to press on. You need to keep

  431. pushing amen, because there will be a lot of things

  432. that will try to stop you. And so I want

  433. to go to point three, the point three, and I

  434. have to end so soon. And the point three that

  435. I put there is forgetting the past. Now where's the

  436. O in the forgetting the past? So I use a

  437. word called oblivion. Oh, just needed a. Oh, so I

  438. chose the word oblivion. All right, look at dictionary, look

  439. at it. I find out what can closest explain my

  440. forgetting the pass. Well, the word oblivion can mean simply this,

  441. You just forget love, just just just forget it. Just

  442. it's over, it's the past, Let it go. I've got

  443. words like care. One sing is to press forward, is

  444. to you know, leave things behind, to cast off, forgetting

  445. the past. And my oh, in my pop means oblivion

  446. meaning you actually have to make that effort now to

  447. make it oblivion. I don't want to remember my past unnecessarily. Okay,

  448. let me come to this is very important if we're

  449. going to to really move forward, if we're going to

  450. live the abundant life. Everyone in this room give me

  451. a wave. Yeah, your man for abandoned life and more abandoned. Amen,

  452. not just abandoned. God says, I came to give you

  453. life and life more abandontly, So I want to ask you,

  454. are you living the more abundantly life? But the one

  455. thing that will stop you is if you keep the past.

  456. We are to forget the past. So Paul says here

  457. in verse thirteen, I've not achieved it none of us

  458. have reached. We're not perfect, but Christ has gotten the

  459. perfection for me. So, but I focus on this one

  460. thing verse thirteen in the NLC. But I focus on

  461. this one thing, focus on this one thing. What is

  462. his focus? He falls? He is forgetting the past, He says,

  463. forget the past and look forward to what lies ahead. Amen, oblivion,

  464. to be forgetful. Now, don't be forgetful about your appointments

  465. and duties. I forgot love, I didn't pick up the child.

  466. I'm sorry, wife, I forgot the child. Okay, don't do that.

  467. Not that kind of oblivion. Forgetfulness, to cast off, to forget.

  468. It's used in a very poetic tone. Oblivion. So is

  469. really to just forget?

  470. Now?

  471. Why why does Paul say this? Because anything that will

  472. distract you and me from the goal from having a focus,

  473. a single mindedness to what to the upward call, to

  474. the call that Christ already has called me. Anything that

  475. distracts you, and I can tell you many things of

  476. our past can distract us looking at the finishing line. Really,

  477. what most people suffer with dealing with their pass We

  478. do because someone hurt you, because that person didn't see hollo.

  479. Do you because this and dead, and they jittered me.

  480. I was rejected. I'm disappointed with my pastor disappointed with

  481. my dad. Oh, they abandoned me. I have a loss

  482. in my life. Why I lost a child, I lost

  483. my house, I lost my marriage, I lost my health

  484. or relationship issues, challenges, things that have happened, our mistakes,

  485. honest mistakes. Sometimes we make our failures, our temptations. All

  486. these and much more that we go through our offenses.

  487. You are offended, your disagreements. All this is your past,

  488. but it can cling to you. If you don't cast

  489. it off, they will cling to you. It's a spirit.

  490. If you don't cast it off. If you don't forget

  491. the past, you either forget and cast it off on

  492. the Christ because Christ takes away our sin, or you

  493. keep looking at the back all the time, always looking

  494. Your life is always because of this abandonment. I can't

  495. move forward because my father wasn't very good to me. Ah,

  496. I think very hard. That's why I'm like this. My face, Lady,

  497. is my father's face. Ladies help us Lord. It's tough, right,

  498. but it clings to us. That's why Hebrews chap the twelve,

  499. verse one and two and you go down. Paul says, well,

  500. Paul didn't write the Book of Hebrews. We're not sure

  501. about that. But the Right of Hebrews says, come on,

  502. do away, cast it off the sin. That's so easily.

  503. And there's so much of our past, our failures. We

  504. we tend to bring back our past and our mistakes

  505. and we rehash it. We rehash what we could have

  506. done better. But we could have done better. I could

  507. have done this, I could have done that. Now we

  508. do that, and I can tell you from experience, you

  509. rehash when you get your I got my results, you know,

  510. from my last one. I'm like, at this age and

  511. I'm doing this, I have to score a nothing less.

  512. I had a B plus. Hurts. It hurts, Yeah, it hurts.

  513. Cannot I cannot get a B plus. My husband's like,

  514. it's very good. You haven't. You haven't studied for thirty

  515. over years. And I go back and look at my

  516. paper on because my other dmate all got a So

  517. I rehash, likeg go back my paper, see how uh

  518. I couldn't because it was such a beautiful paper to write.

  519. It was an enjoyable paper, But oh my goodness, how

  520. could I not get them.

  521. Man.

  522. You rehash, then it becomes your hindrance to your next paper,

  523. which I just told Mama, I can't do the paper.

  524. I can't. I can't. I have to write a paper

  525. and I have the hand out this week. I can't.

  526. I can't. So hard, so hard, because you rehash what

  527. you couldn't do, and and you thought it's But like

  528. I said, our shortcomings and failures should only give us

  529. stepping stones to to now do better. That means now

  530. I can write better because I realized I need to

  531. look at the room bracks and follow that so that

  532. I can do what the chack go wants, not what

  533. I want. In your life and and our lives. How past,

  534. sometimes we rehashed it should have should have done that?

  535. Should you should have done this? So this part us

  536. will cling on to us, and then we cannot go forward.

  537. You're okay, but you're not men to live and okay

  538. life Church, You're meant to live life. There's life more

  539. abundantly life that's sprouting overflowing with the river of God.

  540. There's living. It's not stagnant water. It's not dead sea.

  541. Nothing lives in the dead sea. Cannot live. Only you

  542. can float in it. That's it. Nothing else lives in it. Nothing.

  543. It is so salty because no outflow, only in flow.

  544. So anything you in flow and you keep keep, you

  545. will become a salt sea because it's so salty. Ho hamma,

  546. ho hamma, very salty. Nothing going out doesn't make you

  547. an a Christian or a believer or follower of Christ.

  548. That is actually a life. Forgive me if you feel

  549. like pass the what you're talking about, I'm telling you

  550. the truth, Paul says, forget the past. Man. I consider

  551. all my gains as losses. Why because I want to

  552. gain Christ. What are you sitting here about, friends, your

  553. life today? What are you doing with your life at

  554. age thirteen, at age six I don't know that at

  555. age forty or what you know? Christ came to give

  556. us life and life more abundantly. When Christ met me

  557. at sixteen, I then walked into abandoned life. I walked.

  558. I didn't know what abundant life meant, because my whole

  559. life up to sixteen was just losses. Was you cannot,

  560. you will never achieve. You are a sick child. You cannot, cannot, cannot, cannot, be, cannot,

  561. everything cannot under the circumstances in which I grew up.

  562. But the moment Christ came into my life, he broke

  563. and pierced the darkness that really pressed me down sixteen

  564. years old. That's what Christ does when he comes in.

  565. He pierces the darkness. He breaks the curse of the enemy,

  566. the lies that you keep playing things. I'm never gonna

  567. be good and if I'm a ugly duckling, yeah, I'm

  568. just gonna fail my whole life. But when Christ comes in,

  569. he came to me John ten ten, this is a

  570. verse I go back to. He came to give me

  571. life and life more abundantly, and that's where God wants

  572. us to live, to live in the abundance, not just abundance,

  573. overflowing abundance. Amen. So forgetting that to be oblivion to

  574. you actually purposely have to say that's it enough. Failed relationship,

  575. failed marriage, failed my studies. I feel like this, I'm

  576. gonna leave that. But I'm holding on the Christ and

  577. I press on and I press on. It's so hard.

  578. That's why the word is press, not slide. You press

  579. on with the Holy Spirit. If it was easy and

  580. you just slide less skate through. He should have just

  581. said skate through life. No, no, we cannot skate through life.

  582. We got to press on. It's tough, but I'm pressing on.

  583. I know it's tough. I owe this memory that I failed.

  584. I made my big mistake. I shouldn't have said those words.

  585. It haunts you. That's why, Paul, right, come on, forget

  586. the pass. Whether it is your victories or whether it's

  587. your failius. Amen, come on. We have to press on.

  588. And that's why when we forget our past, we're not

  589. being irresponsible, you know, like no consequences. I'm not talking

  590. about the irresponsible spirit. I'm saying that some things in

  591. your life just doesn't allow you to move on. You

  592. stop living. You're only You're just living for the now

  593. and not the more that God has. The dreams that

  594. God has for us cannot be that we serve the

  595. thing of the universe, and that your life is confound

  596. or confined within a little box. I think He's given

  597. you the world, the world, the world, the plans of God.

  598. I have to say that to me, why are you

  599. doing the Master's Yeah? I ask my surgery every day.

  600. But if I don't become a lifelong learner, I will

  601. not learn more. I won't take new challenges. This is

  602. a great challenge for me thirty years not having gone

  603. back to going back to school now it's a great challenge.

  604. But if I'm going to learn and grow, it can

  605. be through ministry, taking up new ministries, doing something I've

  606. never done before. And I should allow my age to

  607. judge me. Because Moses was pretty old, yeah, eighty, very old. No,

  608. but he was just a young man. Caleb was eighty

  609. and he went and fought back the lens. So if

  610. we are behaving like this past, then you'll be like

  611. a Moses. I can't I but yeah, because he killed somebody,

  612. Paul has to forget, be oblivion to the lives that

  613. he took, he murdered, believe us. Can you imagine the

  614. con damnation that comes back to him. The voice of

  615. the animy says, Paul, you just killed Stephen Man. Hey,

  616. you were the one agreeing to the death of Stephen. Hey, Paul,

  617. you took you know, sister Barbara, and you put a

  618. chill to sister Barbara. Hey, Paul, you know you took

  619. Ali and you sent him to the gallows. Comes back.

  620. He is writing not out of theory, He is writing

  621. out of the fact that he went through it. So

  622. he's now saying, sitting in the prison, I think a

  623. lot of time to think on No, a lot of

  624. time to reflect ray, reflector. So he could be yeah,

  625. I'm here because you know I killed all those people

  626. and murdered them. But he's not a murderer now, he's

  627. an ex murderer saved by the blood of the Lamb

  628. Jesus encountered him. He has to overcome, so he has

  629. to forget the past. He has to purposely say that

  630. that's over. I can't live there because if I live there,

  631. I won't live ahead. Come on, come on, church. I

  632. don't know what God is calling you too, But look

  633. at that verse. So my own in my pop is

  634. the oblivion. So my pe last pin my pop is

  635. what it goes back to press on to receive the prize. Hey,

  636. there's a prize. Read that verse in fourteen Paul says,

  637. I press on to I press on to reach the

  638. end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for

  639. which God through Christ Jesus is calling us. If you

  640. read it in the Bassa Bible Bahasa language, is this

  641. yantuhansuda ma mangel kami there is a price He already

  642. has for us. We just need to ex forward it.

  643. Take it, amen, So I press on to reach the

  644. not the pressing on you press on at the start.

  645. Why why do I keep pressing on? Because there is

  646. a price. What is this price? Eternal life, the crown

  647. of life. It is more than silver and gold. Jesus

  648. did not give silver and gold to witness to heaven.

  649. He gave his blood, He shed his blood, his life.

  650. This pressing on to the heavenly price is our salvation,

  651. the fullness, the eternal life. Amen. Amen. It is an

  652. upward calling, not a downward calling. All people, It's an

  653. upward calling, not downward calling. If you find yourself going

  654. down dead, ain't Jesus there's an upward calling. We keep upping,

  655. not keep downing. No, we counted the street called downing

  656. streets is downing all the time. Ah. We want to

  657. be the upward street, upward high street, going up, going up.

  658. Because God does not call us to go down. He says,

  659. come up, an upward calling. New King James version upward calling.

  660. So that's why Paul says in the chapter three further

  661. versus up, Oh that I won, I counted lost I

  662. look at my gainser like they work out, done, done,

  663. not a word garbage. All your accolades, oh that you have,

  664. It's nothing compared to the glorious price of the glory

  665. of the Lord that is yours and mine today and

  666. the days to come, today and the days to come

  667. worship team Callelujah, Amen, Kay Pop? Why do I even

  668. give the funny names? So now you remember? You know?

  669. You're not glory? Can't remember? Not? Kay Pop? Right? The

  670. kay my kay and my pop is know God, my pain,

  671. my pup is to press on my own and my

  672. pup is to be oblivion. I make effort to forget

  673. the things that are harsh, that are terrible, that pull

  674. me back and keep pulling. No, I'm pressing on. But

  675. I have to and run if I share if like

  676. if if we get a guy, right and the girls

  677. are all pulling at you, right, but there's only one

  678. woman for you can't marry everybody while you have to

  679. let your whole jacket go. I run forward like the

  680. all the girls want me. No, you don't want all

  681. the girls. You only want one right, men, only one

  682. woman met us right just like let go let go back. No,

  683. you're like wow, like I run away. That's what it

  684. means to cuss off. Don't let them leech on you.

  685. Don't let your past leech and suck the blood out

  686. of you. I know, you know want that happened. You know,

  687. when you're past the leech and take all the goods.

  688. That is the work of the pit of hell. That's

  689. what the devil does. He tells you every day what

  690. you did last summer, last winter, last spring, last whatever.

  691. We don't have four season, just summer, so every summer

  692. he reminds you, Hey, I know what you did. So

  693. speak to my master, Master Jesus. He's forgiven me, and

  694. I have repented. I turn around already. So k pop

  695. people to know Christ, to know his resurrection and his sufferings,

  696. the power of his resurrection, the power that you experience. Wow,

  697. the wow days. And then there'll be the days when

  698. it's tough. It feels like why am I here alone?

  699. Why I'm the only one doing this? Why is it

  700. so difficult? I tell you, I just don't past. Then, guys,

  701. we all will have our alone days. When I alone

  702. with my father and hospital, I'm thinking, why I'm the

  703. only one? I got siebling word, But I'm still there.

  704. But that day I had to be alone because stebling

  705. head classes it's hard to walk through and give up

  706. different things, different pleasures in life, just because you are

  707. needed there. He felt like a suffering and all of

  708. you we cannot love each other sufferings. Of course we

  709. look at you alert, you know, we was alert, but

  710. actually the alert for that person it was tough. It

  711. was tough. So we walked to that a man, no Christ,

  712. then a man press on, press on because you're not sliding,

  713. you know, you're not just skating around. You actually gotta

  714. press on. It's tough. Why because all this passa trying

  715. to pull you. You know, come on, come with us,

  716. live with us. I don't want to live with you.

  717. Let go take it off, amen, and you just go

  718. with the promise. The focus on Jesus, focus on him.

  719. The one thing is forget the past and focus because

  720. there is a finishing line in the spirit. There is

  721. a finishing line. We want to see Jesus at the

  722. end of that line. Amen. The oblivion, just oblivion simply

  723. means you actually have to take that pass. And you say,

  724. it's the past. I can't win. I can't bring back

  725. that life. I can't. I can't earn back that money.

  726. I can only do better Now I repent, I apologize,

  727. I consequences. I have to go to jail. If I

  728. kill him, I go to jail. I made a girl pregnant. Guys,

  729. you don't go to jail, but you well marry the girl,

  730. raise the child. If you cause the girl to abort,

  731. you got double jeopardy on your life because not only

  732. you made a girl brandnant, now you can take the

  733. life also, So even that can be our past that

  734. will haunt us. When that even that, when you say, Lord,

  735. forgive me, Father, forgive me. Jesus forgives, the world won't.

  736. But you have to move on. You have to forget

  737. the past and do better. That's why we know Christ,

  738. so that we can be more like him. We need

  739. to give space for believers to actually transform. We actually

  740. need to give space for people to change and not

  741. judge them on one failure, even two or three, because

  742. God forgives at all times when we repent. Amen. And lastly,

  743. there is a price all that you're doing, friends, because

  744. there is a price, and that price is eternal life. Eternity,

  745. the crown of life in Christ Jesus Amen.
