  1. You're listening to a message to go from ets Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. I talked about what being a disciple is, I think

  4. the last time, and I'm trying to quickly recare for us.

  5. From Mark four Mark, chapter four, verse twenty six, twenty seven.

  6. I will read it, but you can turn to your Bible,

  7. so you can turn with me. You can flip the pages,

  8. and if you're there, you can say hallelujah, I'm there,

  9. okay verse twenty six.

  10. He says yeah.

  11. He also says that this is what the Kingdom of

  12. God is like. A man scatters set on the ground

  13. verse twenty seven, night and day, whether he slips or

  14. gets up, the seat sprouts.

  15. And girl, though he does not.

  16. Know how, you know, our decision uh to be a disciple,

  17. of our decision to get rooted here in the house

  18. and allowing someone to walk, you know, walk with us

  19. through this journey of faith. We can determine that, but

  20. we cannot entirely determine the growth. You know, the words

  21. say right now and then, whether he sleeps or gets up,

  22. the seat will still sprout.

  23. Anyway.

  24. You can just leave your green been soaked overnight. The

  25. next day, that's early sprout's going your towel, get bean sprout, yes, uh,

  26. bean sprouts growing, and then you can make your edge

  27. hike guy, your bri sprout chicken rice that April is

  28. famous for.

  29. After that.

  30. But it is the lot that determines and and I

  31. want to encourage all of you here today, if that's

  32. one word that I'm going to leave you with before

  33. I go over Anila, is to see this place as

  34. your family, and you know, to desire to be a

  35. disciple of Christ because this you know as as as

  36. much as you know as this whole like okay, freedom

  37. and you know, human rights or whatever not. But in

  38. the Lord h we need we are held accountable for

  39. every single decision and single action that we do. All right,

  40. when we decide to be part of this family, when

  41. we decide to allow someone else to journey together with

  42. us in acts, you know, we call it a discipleship relationship.

  43. It's relational. Uh So in a relationship there's a journey together.

  44. So being part of this discipleship journey, you know what

  45. definitely caused you to grow in always if you ask

  46. me how, I do not know exactly. For agents, every

  47. one of you but that's going to be definitely growth.

  48. Because we will.

  49. Be held accountable as well, and you know, being part

  50. of this journey together. What caused us to one to

  51. continue to do that to others?

  52. All right?

  53. I actually prepared six points to share, but I think

  54. I'll do it again when I come back. But I

  55. would like to start with this a very very important point.

  56. It is from Mark chapter twelve. You can turn with

  57. me Mark chapter twelve, verse twenty eight to thirty. Okay,

  58. I'll be reading from the amplified version, and it says

  59. in version it then one of the scribes. Okay, who

  60. are the scribes? They are actually experts of the law,

  61. very modern day lawyer.

  62. Okay.

  63. They came up and listen to them, arguing and noticing

  64. that Jesus answered them well, asked him. They asked him

  65. which commandment is first and most important of all? Jesus

  66. answered them, the first and most important one is this,

  67. cheer old Israel. The Lord our God is one lord.

  68. Averse study and you shall love the Lord your God

  69. with all your heart and with all your soul, or

  70. you know, in our version says with all your life,

  71. love the Lord your God with all your life, with

  72. all your mind, okay, with all your thoughts, with all

  73. your understanding, and with all your strength. Okay, what would

  74. cause us to continue? You know we talked about.

  75. Because you know.

  76. Our life is ahead of us. How do we continue

  77. being disciples of Christ without g moving up?

  78. Halfway?

  79. Is this very important thing? That is to love the

  80. Lord our God?

  81. All right?

  82. Without love ring him, we have nothing. Without loving him,

  83. we do not have anything. And love ring God. Okay,

  84. Loving God is what motivates us to continue to follow him.

  85. And to serve others? All right? Verse thirty one? What

  86. do I mean by that? Verse thy one?

  87. It continues on It says, this is the second So

  88. first you have to love the Lord. Second is you

  89. shall unselfishly love your neighbor as yourself. There is no

  90. other commandment greater than this, okay, Uh, to love the Lord,

  91. to serve him, to follow him, but to also love others,

  92. to continue to put each others need above ours, you know,

  93. to continue to put our neighbors need above hours and

  94. and it.

  95. Takes a lot of sacrifice to do that.

  96. Loving God itself is a sacrifice because you have been For.

  97. Example, you have to be here on a Sunday morning.

  98. Uh, You have to be there for homes h and

  99. those are just very it's it's a commitment.

  100. Uh.

  101. And and you know the god Lot, the Lot commanded

  102. us to you know, be where his house is as well.

  103. But loving others is the she would just sacrifice why

  104. because the other person is not like this?

  105. Uh?

  106. They can irritate you to the max, like why but

  107. then to continue to love them?

  108. Uh?

  109. Like you know the the girl I talked to told

  110. you about who founded the Small Girl in a campus

  111. you know very well, a friend step her guard right

  112. for for me? For me, I would have just turned

  113. away and you know, called out fire from heaven and burn.

  114. But she first out and prayed for her.

  115. Until that girl experienced a healing. It takes a true

  116. disciple of Christ to be able to do that, uh,

  117. you know, to deny ourself and to follow Christ, to

  118. take up the cross and follow Christ. You know the

  119. word from verse thirty one. I just want to bring

  120. our attention to that. You know the understanding of these

  121. words itself. Uh, the word love you is to agape, right,

  122. So it's actually not so much of an emotion like

  123. emotional I love you, you love me, be a happy family, right,

  124. But it is of doing things for the benefit of

  125. another person. That is, having an unselfish concern for another

  126. and a willingness to seek the best for another. When

  127. we loved the lot, we feel him, so we do

  128. not want to do things that will break his heart.

  129. Uh.

  130. And what is his heart? I can't cover everything, but

  131. his heart is written here uh and it takes us

  132. to read it to know his heart and and and

  133. not break it. But for the other person is to

  134. put their needs above above ours, to care for them.

  135. And you know, I'm gonna just close really soon with this.

  136. That is the point on self denial.

  137. Okay.

  138. So one what will continue to help us keep going

  139. to be a disciple of Christ is to love God

  140. and love for others. And then the second point is

  141. to deny ourselves. All right, matth deal, you can turn

  142. with me to Max til chapter sixteen, verse twenty four

  143. to twenty six. If your there can say yay, wow,

  144. you guys are first, Okay, it says yeah from the

  145. New Living Translation version. Then Jesus said to his disciples,

  146. if anyone desires to come after me, if anyone desires

  147. to follow me, let him deny himself and take up

  148. his cross and follow me. For whoever desires to save

  149. his life, well, what lose it? But whoever loses his

  150. life for my sake will find it. For what profit

  151. is it to a man if he gains the whole

  152. world and loses his own soul? Or what will a

  153. man give in exchange for his soul?

  154. Okay?

  155. So, the conditions of being a disciple of Christ, it's

  156. not easy, all right, to be a true followers, To

  157. be true disciples of Christ, we have to be denying

  158. ourselves before we can put the needs of others before us.

  159. We need to put Christ first in our lives and

  160. to leave according to what He wants us to do.

  161. And denying ourself, denying our rights before the Lord. It

  162. is not easy at all. And you know what way

  163. it looked like to deny ourselves. It looks like a

  164. daughter's surrender to the Lord. Okay, And I might just

  165. go through a few points on what we could do.

  166. Okay.

  167. The first point it would mean when we say that

  168. we are denying ourselves picking up.

  169. The cross and follow Jesus. The first one.

  170. In situations that we have all the right to take

  171. a revenge someone has wrong you, someone who have I

  172. don't know burned your house down, stolen your car, you know,

  173. burn down your tesla. The first tie, you know, denying Christ,

  174. denying ourselves, not denying Christ, denying ourself, is that we

  175. need to give out our right to take revenge. I'm

  176. not too sure how they will speak to different ones

  177. of you, but you know you have been hurted, deeply

  178. wounded in a lot of ways, and you know very

  179. well that you didn't do anything wrong, and sometimes in

  180. spite you want to do something back to the person.

  181. Right.

  182. But God is reminding us from Romans chapter verse nineteen

  183. to twenty. You can turn with me to this and say, yeah,

  184. dear friends, this is from the New Living translation. Never

  185. take revenge. Wow, leave that to the righteous anger of God.

  186. For the scriptures say I will take revenge. I will

  187. pay them back, says the Lord in stead, mhm, love

  188. your enemy, Feed your enemies who are hungry. Uh, and

  189. if they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In

  190. doing this, you heap burning coals of shame on their heads,

  191. like what.

  192. She did for the girl with the bone condition. Uh.

  193. She could verry right, you know, stand up and speak up.

  194. I'm not to say that, you know, to to just

  195. give in to everything, but she felt clearly the Lord

  196. is telling her to love, to pray, to fast until

  197. a healing takes place. So you know, if they are thirsty,

  198. give them a drink to drink, if not them, if

  199. your enemy is thirsty, you know.

  200. That is the first one. Second point.

  201. Is to give up the right to spend money. However,

  202. we please, my dear Chapter six, verse nineteen to twenty one.

  203. What does it say here? Don't store up treasures here

  204. on earth where moths eat them and russ destroys them,

  205. and when thieves break in, and still store your treasures

  206. in heaven, where moths and rusts cannot destroy and thieves

  207. do not break in. And still wherever your treasure is,

  208. that the desires of your heart will be. Also where's

  209. your desire at today? I just say here money. It

  210. might be just maybe not desiring money, but what what

  211. you desire? That it becomes your priority. And you make

  212. a lot of decisions based on your priority in life.

  213. So you know, God is perhaps you know, challenging us.

  214. Whereas it's time to readjust a priority, so that God

  215. and Christ shall be our first priority. And and I

  216. you know, I know passes even you know your church

  217. plank coordinator for a while.

  218. And I know.

  219. His priority and first and foremost is loving God. I

  220. know it's not his wife as well, but it's loving

  221. the lot. Being a student at the part of time,

  222. because we managed to see him grow up from his

  223. students days. Right, his priority wasn't being a student first.

  224. His priority was being a child of God first. And

  225. he can be where he's at today because of the

  226. decisions of denying, of reprioritizing.

  227. So that you know, he can honor the lot.

  228. Okay, yeah, it looks like I can't cover everything else,

  229. but I'm going close with different.

  230. I'm going to close right now.

  231. I'm going to invite extreme up on stage and all

  232. just close us by praying for us. And you know it,

  233. disciplesh it itself is a life long journey. To be

  234. a disciple of Christ takes us following him every single day,

  235. so that every single day, as we follow him, we

  236. will be more and more like him asself. We will

  237. reflect his character, will reflect who it is so that

  238. the whole world will know. Right, we need pray this

  239. morning from Hybacco that the glory of the Lord will

  240. feel the earth as the water covers the sea. And

  241. the only way you know, for the world to be

  242. able to see the glory of the Lord and experience

  243. him is most of the time to us first Gods,

  244. we are their first encounter. Ah, it'll try encountering us.

  245. We could either propel them to know Jesus more or

  246. to push them. Okay, the other peer is either a

  247. propel or to push them away further and further from

  248. the Lord because of who we are. So today, you know,

  249. I just want to pray for every single one of us.

  250. Here, believers.

  251. Hey guys, you know, just trying to challenge you to

  252. step out from where you're at and and you know

  253. there's so much more of what you could be and

  254. grow into because you choose and you decide to be

  255. planted in the Lord, to be planted in his house

  256. and allowing his his his church to continue to cost

  257. you to grow. And today you know, if you are

  258. here and you know you just desire God, I say

  259. to love the Lord, your God.

  260. Uh.

  261. That is the first and foremost commandment. And today Lord,

  262. I just want to heed your commandment to love you

  263. with all that I have am and with all that

  264. I have. And second is to love our neighbor as ourself.

  265. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
