  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. I thought my message today is future favor and faith.

  4. Future favor faith, okay? And why future favor faith? Well,

  5. I'm sure some of you will be interested in what

  6. this message means because here it says how to discern

  7. the will of God in your life and make major decisions.

  8. While you guys want to know that or not, how

  9. to discern the will of God in your life and

  10. make major decisions, I think it's something that a lot

  11. of us want to know. You know, how do you

  12. know whether this God's will? How do I know whether

  13. I'm you know, doing this? And I want to let

  14. you know that this is something that I have learned myself,

  15. and thankfully I didn't have to go through the trouble

  16. of suffering to learn this lesson. I am thankful because

  17. our church believes in discipleship and I learned this from

  18. my spiritual other. You know, pass he sends his love

  19. and regards to all of you. He's resting at home.

  20. I think he's getting a bit nsy staying at home.

  21. So you know, if you go on Facebook and all,

  22. please do encourage him. Hopefully he'll be out soon from

  23. his home confinement running around, and but he sends his

  24. love and regards to all of you here. And also

  25. do keep passes Sendra and prayer because it's not easy

  26. being a caghgiver. And we also pray because you also

  27. have to stay at homeland. And if you know Passes Senra,

  28. she's not the type that will stay home most of

  29. the time. And yeah, anyway, just keep going prayer. But

  30. the and and anyway, if you want to do more

  31. further study on today's message, right, I would encourage you

  32. to get this book because I took some notes from

  33. every believer can okay. And it's in chapter four, okay.

  34. And chapter four actually talks about is God calling me

  35. to plan the church? Okay? And I know sometimes when

  36. we read a book like all this was just planning,

  37. I'm not interested in just plan thaying God called me

  38. out in the marketplace. Nothing here will appeal to me

  39. or nothing here is connected to me, not necessarily true.

  40. And I kind of explain a little bit. Okay, So

  41. when we say how to discern the will of God

  42. in your life and how to make major life decisions,

  43. what is these life decisions? Actually this principle or I

  44. would say, yeah, principle right, can can even apply if

  45. you're choosing life partner really are Yeah, let me give

  46. you an example. Men here that are still single. If

  47. the women don't see a future with you, you won't even

  48. go into the next areas radio. Okay, if you talk

  49. about future, if people don't see a future, So it

  50. actually applies to acquire a lot of things in our

  51. lives when you talk about these principles, right, maybe you're

  52. sweaching careers. Which careers should I go with? Thee the

  53. biggest paycheck? Biggest paycheck means good. For those of you

  54. who have been in career for a long time, you

  55. will know that just because the paycheck is big doesn't

  56. mean that it's good or that as a man's god, you know,

  57. sometimes the opposite. You know, you know, I always telling

  58. people like, paycheck is good, but they're paying you for

  59. a reason. So be ready to work like man. Because

  60. there's no such thing as free money in this world. One,

  61. you know, that's the reality of life. Okay, maybe you

  62. want to start a business. You know what, what principle

  63. do I apply? How do I know God is leading

  64. me to start a business? Well, maybe you're buying property. Huh.

  65. You mean this principle can use for buying property, yes, can,

  66. and so much more. Okay, why am I saying this?

  67. Because these are the principles I've learned from my spirit

  68. of Father, and I've applied it to my life and

  69. I've seen the fruit. I've seen the fruit of it.

  70. Someone to encourage you, guys, right as I'm thinking about,

  71. you know, what would the people need? You know? And

  72. I'm praying, Lord, what will help your people grow? You know.

  73. I think it's good to learn principles. I think it's

  74. good to have an idea, you know, and to have

  75. direction in life, to have consistency in our faith because

  76. I don't think God is a god of lottery. Okay,

  77. I don't think God. I mean we don't believe in

  78. luckla I can I be honest. We don't believe in Oh,

  79. it just happened, you know. We believe in God's destiny

  80. and call. You know, we don't believe in love. We

  81. don't believe in a god of the lottery, because God

  82. is not a god of the lottery. God is a

  83. God of order, so there's ordering things one. You know,

  84. the Bible teach us about sewing and reaping. When you

  85. sow in something, you will repeat one's actually there, I

  86. know the truth, you know. But sometimes we can come

  87. to a place because of a lack of understanding or

  88. a lack of understanding of the word and understanding of

  89. how God works right and what his characters are, we

  90. get confused or we we chase after you know, Oh God,

  91. God's blessing, you know, and we use all these terms

  92. and we don't understand how it works. So hopefully today

  93. you guys will have a little bit of a deeper understanding.

  94. Because when you have a deeper understanding of how something works,

  95. when you apply to your life, you'll see the fruit.

  96. But when you don't have a deeper understanding, then you know,

  97. it's really really like mindtame. But one Okay, that's the

  98. Malay word we use anyone here, that is, don't understand

  99. you here, everybody understand. Sorry, I just came back from Indonesia.

  100. You know. That's why I got a little bit of

  101. basa here and there. Okay, yeah, yeah, but I yeah,

  102. I needed you there. But anyway, so so have I

  103. caught your attention? So I know this book talks about

  104. church planting, but Actually, the principle can apply to a

  105. lot of things. Right. I had the benefit of experiencing

  106. first true Church, planting this principle about future favor and faith,

  107. and as applying in different areas of my life, I

  108. realized that, wow, Lord, you work, you know, so let

  109. me give you some basics verse Okay, let me give

  110. you some basics. First. This principle is not be all

  111. and do all? Okay, the three apps we call it

  112. future favor faith. It is just a yard stick of measurement.

  113. It's just a measurement, you know, measurement evaluation, like how

  114. do I know what I'm listening to? God? These are

  115. the few things you can consider, right. Would it work

  116. like this every time? May not? But it's a safe

  117. yard stick to know whether or not you're following God's

  118. will if you consider these things right, and I'll explain

  119. more the tree appsod that you have an understanding, can okay?

  120. So the question is, how can you be confident that

  121. it's from God and not ourselves and not our own desires?

  122. How can we be confident? So this is the yard

  123. sick you apply whether or not, okay, it's a God

  124. thing or not? You'll catch me Okay, So the first

  125. foundation is first step. First step is to prayer, to pray, right,

  126. The first step is always to pray, and the first

  127. step is to wait for God's response. This is the

  128. first step. This is always the first step. You cannot

  129. circumvent it. You cannot. Okay, now past the Alvin, you

  130. give me this a secret future favor faith. I don't

  131. you pray? No, no, no no, you still need to pray.

  132. The future favor faith is just a yacht stick. You

  133. see the difference, right, It's not a method, it's a

  134. yard stick. It's the Okay, am I going in the

  135. right direction. These are the three things I think about

  136. to consider, right, Like, for example, we all know the

  137. method to getting healthy, eat right, exercise correct, not take medication. Yeah,

  138. although now they're selling that that's not very co actually right, Yeah,

  139. it works, but is it good for you? Talk to

  140. any athlete, Talk to any not any athlete, likely they

  141. just talk to anybody they study health science. That they'll

  142. probably say, not a good idea, right, but it works. Okay,

  143. So just because it works doesn't mean that it's a

  144. good idea, and not everything is good for you. You'll

  145. catch that. But you see it's the method. But what's

  146. the yard stick? Your blood pressure? Your blood pressure is

  147. the yard stick. Your heart rate is the yard stick.

  148. You get what I mean. Your blood test is a

  149. yacht stick. Your health check is a yacht stick. So

  150. this is kind of like a health checkler whether or

  151. not deside, the question is how do you discern right?

  152. So it doesn't circumvent praying. So if you've not prayed

  153. and you just apply this, it doesn't work. Can I

  154. be honest? Because you've not talked to God. It's just

  155. our own desires. It's just us one thing to do

  156. what you want to do. But there's no counsel, there's

  157. no talking to God, there's no praying, there's no seeking

  158. or waiting. It's just oh, that's the law on me.

  159. So really, so this is a good yard stick? Is

  160. God really saying it? Your cash? Your catch me? Okay?

  161. So we'll go one by one now. So I'm not

  162. just gonna preach from the sky. I'm gonna preach from

  163. the scripture. Cannot okay? Mantel fourteen, twenty six thirty one.

  164. And I think that if you look at different different

  165. situations in the Bible about how God follows his will

  166. you can almost put this principle in practice in one

  167. way or the other. But Matthew chapter fourteen talks about

  168. something quite out there, right, and I'm gonna read, okay,

  169. when the disciples saw him walking in the lake. You

  170. know what, maybe i'll read before that. So if you

  171. got your bibles, or I'm sure most of you got

  172. by bibles, I'll encourage you to open your bibles right

  173. and read, okay, And we're gonna read from verse twenty

  174. two all the way to verse thirty three. Okay, he

  175. says here. Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the

  176. boat and go before him to the other side while

  177. he sent the multitudes away. And when he had sent

  178. the multituus away, he went up on the mountains by

  179. himself to pray. Now, when evening came, he was alone there, right,

  180. But the boat was now in the middle of the sea.

  181. Talks by the waves, for the wind was contrary. Okay. Now,

  182. in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went to

  183. them walking on the sea. So amazing, amazing miracle. Jesus

  184. walked on water. Right. Everybody knows, the whole one knows

  185. that you just get what water because of this scripture, okay, right,

  186. and then what happens? And when the disciples saw him

  187. walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying it is

  188. a ghost, and they cried out for fear. Got giaa,

  189. it's a GHOSTA it's a gosa right. And then Jesus

  190. wearing white color some more as all the pictures to

  191. pick him right, la gi la loo like ghosts, long hair,

  192. white color with a red color, sash wah, freaky man.

  193. And then when and wet get ready you know right

  194. then what happens next. But immediately Jesus spoke to them saying,

  195. be of good cheer. It is I do not be afraid.

  196. How many of you right in your times of fear,

  197. in your times of uncertainty in your life, it's not changed.

  198. The storm is still there, but you got a word

  199. from the Lord, be of good cheer. Don't worry. I'm here,

  200. and then you have peace. I'm sure some of you

  201. will have to understand this. The situation has not changing.

  202. You know. We all want the situation and change. We

  203. all always believe when the situation change in your peace,

  204. no no, no no no. When Jesus comes in the picture,

  205. then your peace situation can still be the same. It

  206. can still be crazy, right, and it's not fun. Things

  207. that are uncertain, things that are you know, you don't

  208. know what's going to happen. I've been through that. But

  209. when you receive a word from the Lord, we have

  210. good cheer. It is I and a lot of times,

  211. a lot of us we just keep quiet and say, okay,

  212. thank you Lord, that's it. By love Peter, he's the

  213. most brash person. And what did he say? He say?

  214. And Peter answered and said, Lord, if it is you

  215. command me to come to you underwater, how many of

  216. you actually say that? I wouldn't. This guy that looks

  217. like a ghost is walking to us us and then

  218. says it's Jesus. Sure bo, really is it you? Right? Okay?

  219. Now Jesus come nearer so they can see you straight away.

  220. Peter said, if it's you, call me and I will

  221. be able to stay on water. Well this weather, really

  222. want to die on this other really want to asking

  223. for it? Right? But Jesus said, come and what happens?

  224. And when Peter had come down out of the boat,

  225. he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But

  226. when he saw that the wind was boisterous. He was

  227. afraid and beginning to sing. He cried out, saying, Lord

  228. save me. How many of us here we receive a

  229. word from the Lord in uncertainty, and then we have peace,

  230. and then we act in faith because we receive and

  231. are confident that God called us. And then our eyes

  232. look elsewherey no longer on Jesus, look elsewhere, you know,

  233. at other things. Maybe start okay other preachers, Maybe start

  234. okay out the church. Maybe you start looking at other countries,

  235. go somewhere else. Maybe you start looking at other marriages

  236. or dangerousa danjeousa. Maybe start looking at other people's life

  237. on Instagram? What are we looking at? Friends? God, you

  238. promise me this wonderful marriage, wonderful business, wonderful career. But

  239. my friend is enjoying their lives? Sure not, they're enjoying.

  240. What you see online is not real one honestly, how

  241. are you evaluating? And then there's fear, and then there's

  242. uncertain day, and then what happens. Peters starts sinking. He

  243. starts sinking, and he cried out, saying, Lord save me. Well,

  244. thank God's kids still ask what Jesus help me? Thank God?

  245. He knows, and thank God, Jesus was near enough to

  246. snatch him out. So immediately Jesus stretched out he said, immediately,

  247. you know, immediately Jesus stretched out his hand caught him

  248. and said to him, you of little faith, why do

  249. you doubt what maras I'm on? There's no like Oh dear, dear,

  250. poor Peter. Why did you go and look at the sun? No?

  251. Why do you go and look at the wind? And

  252. oh no, no, no, no, no straightways go? Oh your

  253. little faith? Wi do you doubt? Because Jesus knew that

  254. Peter really was walking on water, he could have continued

  255. give Jesus a high fight and walk back to the boat,

  256. but his eyes was on other things. So what are

  257. our eyes on today? He started with Christ, and he

  258. ended with the wind, and then he thank God he

  259. knows to look bad Christ, Thank God. And when they

  260. got into the boat, the wind ceased. So then you

  261. think about it, is it? Why did it happen? Now

  262. if when immediately got into the boat, right the wind ceased? Right,

  263. what was the lesson of this situation? Was it just

  264. so that they'll be safe? What was Jesus trying to do?

  265. It was all about faith? It was never about the wind.

  266. They were never going to get capsize, your catshit or not.

  267. You know, we go through challenges in life, we go

  268. through different things in life, and then when we finish,

  269. we always think it's about the destination. We always think

  270. it's about the safety. We always think it's about the blessing.

  271. But it's actually about you, friends, It's always about you.

  272. It's always about whether you trust God or not. It's

  273. never about your life and how perfect it can look like.

  274. It is always whether you trust him or not. It

  275. is always about your faith and your relationship with him.

  276. It is always about that. But we get blindsided. We

  277. think it's about life. We think it's about doing things. No,

  278. it's not. And when they got into the boat, the

  279. wind sees then those who were in the boat came

  280. and worshiped him, saying, truly you are the son of God. Okay, scripture,

  281. Now let's go deep. So let's talk about the first principle. Future.

  282. What do we mean by that mantel fourteen twenty six

  283. twenty It says, Lord, if it's you, Peter replied, let

  284. me come to you on this water. What was Peter saying?

  285. He didn't wasn't seeing he was seeing a future. He

  286. was brave enough to think, if Jesus can, I can. Right.

  287. So the question is when we are facing different things

  288. in our lives career, change, uh, you know, choosing my partner, no,

  289. in ministry, planning, church, right, different things. The first question

  290. we've got to ask is can you see your future here?

  291. It's not even about what other benefits is the can

  292. we see a future? Can we see ourselves there? Not? No.

  293. One of the best advice I've gotten from Pascna is

  294. you know and and and I practiced this constantly. Right

  295. when I'm faced with the with the with the with

  296. the decision to make right, I still remember when I

  297. was deciding where to stay, you know, and I look

  298. at all the facts. And again, we should consider all

  299. the facts. I look at all the facts. Right, should

  300. I say, PJ Should I saying? You know? I look

  301. at all the facts. But the best advice that Passa

  302. gave me was walk the land, feel the land, look

  303. at your potential neighbors. Do you see a future of

  304. you staying there? Very important. A lot of times we

  305. don't do that. We just look at the benefits and

  306. there's a tick ck done. Really, there's no walk the land.

  307. There's no feel, there's nothing you know? Right? You know

  308. if you talk about yeah, you know, do you do

  309. you see? Like if you talk about driving a car,

  310. you test drive the car. You're not we left the

  311. car so much, right because the best thing ever? But

  312. you got test drive now? No test drife? Friends, can

  313. I put a carveat? This doesn't apply to relationships and

  314. can alsoe me test drive on now? Relationships? Okay, but

  315. I'm talking about walking the land? Do you see a future?

  316. Do you see a future? Right? That's the first question.

  317. Are you guys catching something or not? Everybody's like very

  318. quiet here, right, I'm not calling you guys. I'm giving

  319. something so that when you make decisions you know to

  320. do la can or not? You know to do some

  321. of you are making decisions now you need something to

  322. help you. Right. What does future mean? Future means potential, potential,

  323. That's what future means. Right? And do you see a

  324. future together? For those who are married, right, husband and wife,

  325. you must see a future together. Maybe you're in a team.

  326. You must see a future together. Right. If not, it's

  327. going to be very difficult if you don't. Wife say yes,

  328. husband say no? Very hal ready husbands say yes, wife

  329. say no, very hal ready fight on? Do you want

  330. the com future? I don't want a camp future. Right.

  331. As a team. Maybe you're working in a team. Do

  332. you see a future with your team? Right? Do you

  333. see a future? Need him? My aunt who seventeen Nihi

  334. Maya saw a future. He said, come, let us build

  335. the wall of Jerusalem that we may no longer be

  336. a reproach. Do you know that the walls of Jerusalem?

  337. And we did this study, you know, I think two

  338. years back, you know, rebuild a wall? Right? Do you

  339. know that the wall ruins of Jerusalem? Right, sat in

  340. disgrace and disrepair for one hundred and fourteen years. That's

  341. very long. And then Nihi Mayah came in the picture.

  342. He got everybody together one manner. I think no one

  343. else saw or no he saw, but because of his

  344. faith they believe or so, and they also saw a future.

  345. So sometimes you just need one person to see the future, right.

  346. Sometimes you just need one person to see the future.

  347. And then the next question is who else is with

  348. the person? So future for us? Do I see a future? Right?

  349. And actually this point is very easy for all of us.

  350. I don't think any of us here would not be

  351. able to see a future. Right for guys who are singer.

  352. You see a pretty girl, you see a future her.

  353. The only problem is that's another time. More guys, I

  354. see the same future that you see, Corey or not?

  355. Then how cut log cut in. I'm just joking. I'm

  356. just your king. It's gory dy that that's the thing

  357. we see. So future seeing future no problem. Always can

  358. see one or a nice house and anything that's nice.

  359. I can see a future. You want to know when

  360. it gets a bit interesting, remember I say it to

  361. pray and wait on the Lord. If you pray and

  362. wait on the Lord and God speaks her, that's where

  363. you have to go and see the future. They're not

  364. and it's true. If you really don't see, then it's

  365. difficult to believe. So do you see a future? So

  366. future seeing it's not hard. Can see potential, can see

  367. the future. Not very hot, right, but it's still important

  368. to see. Do you know how long it took them

  369. to rebuild the wall after they see the future. Fifty

  370. two days and they didn't build the wall with we

  371. you know, they build a wall in distress. You know,

  372. one hand holds on one hand build wall. Now do

  373. you know that there was the situation if they didn't

  374. have that. Now they were completely faster. They were ready

  375. for any attack any time. How many people feel like that?

  376. When you're doing something, you're like, man, this is crazy.

  377. You know I have to be ready. You know you'll

  378. be great if everything is aligned and everything is lined

  379. up and everything is perfect, that I can just do

  380. it without worrying about anything. No such thing in life. Sorry, guys,

  381. there will always be stressed one. And then God said,

  382. don't worry. It's tough, but that's the thing. Do we

  383. see a future but fifty two think about it? Think

  384. about it. Think about it. One hundred and fourteen years

  385. in disrepair and it only took fifty two days with

  386. distress to build the wall. Amazing, amazing when we are focused,

  387. when we are clear, when God is with us, just

  388. like that. There are certain things in your lives right now,

  389. in my life that maybe we've left or too long ready,

  390. that we've left in a state of disrepair because we

  391. don't see a future in it, or because maybe because

  392. we are looking at something else that we shouldn't look at.

  393. That's the other danger, right, we're looking at something else

  394. I'm looking at something else to fulfill my need. I'm

  395. looking at something else that will fulfill this longing in

  396. my heart. Friends, can I let you know that the

  397. only thing that can fulfill the longing in your heart

  398. is Christ. No matter where you're at in life, if

  399. you're looking to your marriage to fulfill you will soon

  400. discover that it's not all. Yeah, maybe during the wedding

  401. day and after that now it's a problem or no,

  402. it's challenged one every time I look at it. I

  403. tell you, can I tell you something. I'm super happily

  404. married with my wife, really really, I love my life right,

  405. but it's still hard work. It's still hard work. I

  406. love to do this right, but it's still hard to work.

  407. Do we still fight, of course, do we still disagree?

  408. Of course? But it's frun you you think, are you

  409. like skids? No? No, no, no, no, really, it's frun. And

  410. I'm not saying it as a joke. People who are

  411. truly happily married are happily married because we know that

  412. I'm not looking at my wife to fulfill my life.

  413. In fact, I look forward to support her in all

  414. that I do. Those that are happily marry you understand this.

  415. We don't look at each other to fulfill because she's

  416. a human, she will feel me. So I don't look

  417. at her too. You know, I look at Christ. If

  418. you're looking at our business, if you're looking at getting

  419. a certain thing to fulfill your life, it will never happen.

  420. In friends, I'm sorry, you will be from one you

  421. were looking at being a self sufficient you know all

  422. of these things. It's good now, I'm not saying it's

  423. better now, please, it's good. But if that is your God,

  424. you're going to be discouraged. You're gonna be discouraged. Don't

  425. do that. Are we in church or not? Friends? Are

  426. you guys catching something? A lot of quiet people here.

  427. I know I'm challenging your thought process. Remember this sentiment

  428. on whether or not God is asking you to do it? Oh? Sorry,

  429. my okay. So that's the first principle of future. You'll

  430. catch that future? Not right, hard to see the future.

  431. But but how do you see? Go? Go see look

  432. at the place? You know? Right? I got this. Well,

  433. it's not really joke, la what so I don't know

  434. a greel disagree with me as I'm thinking about this

  435. my top of future? Right? So, girls, girls girls? Okay,

  436. what would make the guy that like you? You know,

  437. there's only two types of okay, guy would like girl.

  438. Some guys that the girl that likes the girl. The

  439. girl will saying, Oh no, he's a stucker. He's texting

  440. me every day. He he bought flowers for me. Oh

  441. my good nurse, he's so creepy. But the girl, the

  442. guy that she liked, Oh he's a romantic. He's texting

  443. me every day. He bought flowers for me. He saw romantic.

  444. What is the difference One can see future, one cannot

  445. see future? True or not? Don't say true? Okay, same

  446. action now, different response. Don't care length time, no length time,

  447. it doesn't matter one right. I also got to experience

  448. when I started liking my now wife. Then not your

  449. girlfriend friend, only good friend. She can see no future,

  450. so got rejected. Then go ahead to intervene and then

  451. she can see her future. Then sun not reject. I'm like, what,

  452. So it applies you guys catch something. So that's the

  453. first principle. Can you see a future or not? If

  454. you don't see future, why are you considering it? I

  455. was just advising someone yesterday. What are your options? All

  456. these these these is, but you do they have to

  457. ask do you see a future here? No? That's it?

  458. Way is it on the table? If you really don't

  459. see a future, where you put it on the table

  460. of course? My mother, my father, your mother? Leave your life?

  461. Is it your father? Leave your life? Is it the market?

  462. Leave your life? Is it your friendly? Your life?

  463. Is it?

  464. Whose life? Is it? Their life? Or your life? Your life?

  465. Then you decide that, but you're still not sure. Do

  466. you see a future? Yes or no? Now we come

  467. to the second principle, which is actually a very exciting principle, favor.

  468. What is favor in this scripture? Well, just one word

  469. Matthew fourteen twenty nine says come. Jesus said just that,

  470. comer one word from the Lord. Come. And that's so

  471. the next question you ask, Okay, I see a future here,

  472. I see a future. I see a future with this person,

  473. or I see a future in this place. I see

  474. a future in this house. Then how do I determine

  475. what's next? This exciting design exciting? Then the question, the

  476. next question you're gonna ask yourself, is is God's favor here?

  477. Because the reality is we can see future in a

  478. lot of things, but then the next question is a

  479. hard question. Answer is God's favor here? Or even deeper

  480. question is do you have a divine appointment in this place?

  481. Harder to answer or not harder to answer. So let's

  482. go into a bit of definition. To receive favor is

  483. what to receive favor is to receive an act of

  484. kindness beyond what is due or usual not. The interesting

  485. thing is, sometimes I'm not downplaying people's testimony, but sometimes

  486. I think sometimes we need to be also a bit

  487. practical to really determine whether it's God's favor or not.

  488. Because God's favor is crazy one you hear also everybody

  489. who hear the story or say, oh this, I thank

  490. God you get. I mean right to favor something? What's

  491. to favor something? To favor something or someone or something

  492. means to show approval of preference. You know God's preferences

  493. with you. You know God's approvis with you. Okay, let me

  494. go deeper. Psalm ninety seventeen says in NIV, May made

  495. the favor of the Lord our God rests on us,

  496. why so that it establishes the work of our hands

  497. for us. You know, God's favor established the work of

  498. our hands right, Yes, establish the work of our hands,

  499. NLT says. And may the Lord, our God show us

  500. his approval and make our efforts successful. Yes, make our

  501. efforts successful. So this is the kicker, friends, How do

  502. you know that God's favor is there? How do you know?

  503. Because you see you can see a future and you're

  504. saying it right, then you are being led by God.

  505. Remember will of God, not our will. But he is

  506. right because anything else will be her will ready, so

  507. all of us can see if it can see future one.

  508. But then the next question is is this God's wiel

  509. on my will? Right? Is it God's feel on my will?

  510. I give you a few more handles. Is that going

  511. to be more strife, hardship and heartaches compared to testimonies

  512. when we pursue it? What is it going to happen?

  513. You know? Sime? Here testimony? People say, oh, no, I

  514. got this job. I've been praying for it, I got

  515. the job I love and wanted. And then after they

  516. get the job do and then start complaining immediately this

  517. job is horrible, this job. Then I kind of wonder

  518. whether or not that's really the job that God gave you?

  519. A law because I don't think God will give you

  520. a job matter you will hate immediately. You know, it's

  521. very interesting one human beings. Don't you know any think

  522. about it? Then? Didn't that kind of like negate your

  523. testimony in the first place? Neither do I think that

  524. God will give you something that will not bring you

  525. further away from him. I really don't believe in that.

  526. So we pray, pray, prayer, us a testimony, get it,

  527. do it, and then, Sonny, you don't see them in

  528. church anymore? Big question mark, big question mark. You mean

  529. God's going to give you something that will bring you

  530. further away from Him and his people? Or will he

  531. give you something and bring you closer? Think about it,

  532. Think about it, think about it right? Being very practical here, right,

  533. think about it? Right? If there's more strife, hardship and

  534. heartaches compared to testimonies in the decisions that we've made,

  535. thinking that's from God? See everyone here, you want to

  536. follow God. I believe in that. I don't doubt that,

  537. But sometimes I say, due to a lack of understanding,

  538. due to us just understanding whatever, then we get ourselves

  539. in trouble unknowingly. Right, If that's where we're at, and

  540. I've been there before. Friends, I've been there before. So

  541. whatever I'm sharing now is not out of it out

  542. of my own problem as I've experienced, I've been put

  543. in the situation. I'm like, oh man, why there? I

  544. put myself here? Right then, perhaps it's time to ask God,

  545. is this really a will from your Lord? Because you

  546. can change no, friends, that's the wonderful thing about life.

  547. As long as you're still alive, as long as you

  548. still around, you can make the decision. I don't believe

  549. in anything as I got no choice, no, no, no, no, no.

  550. All of us got choice. Saying you got no choice

  551. is a choice. The only question is the choice is harder? Lot?

  552. Now you know what I mean. So it's not about

  553. no choice. Is whether or not we are willing to

  554. make the harder choice or are we stuck with the

  555. I don't want to make the hard choice. It balls

  556. down to that. That's life, right, you know? Who have

  557. no choice? Here? Our kids because they'll start with their parents.

  558. We got no choice. Even if you're in the company

  559. and a job. You can cut your job right now,

  560. but scaryla Cory or not not sure? Ah, it's harder right,

  561. But always have a choice, and if we make the

  562. right choice, we will benefit. If we make the wrong choice,

  563. we will suffer coronal. It's true, it's true. Right, whatever

  564. you're embarking with, understanding the favor of Lord, whatever you're

  565. embarking with on has to be done with joy, a

  566. sense of fulfillment and purpose. That's the thing. It's a

  567. growth level, right, And I'm not saying it's immediate. See,

  568. joy is different and happiness for filment is different than

  569. a lot of money. And purpose is very clear. The

  570. why why am I doing this? Why is God leading

  571. me here? Why do we plant XBU in the first place?

  572. You guys want to hear some stories. Just give you some.

  573. So talk about God's favor. Let me talk about planting

  574. church first, then I'll talk about other things. Okay, So

  575. I I caught this or I saw this in practice.

  576. When we plant the XPJ, right, we prayed, Okay, pray first, right,

  577. prayed for six months. We pray for six months, and

  578. we were praying for a few things Lord, because we

  579. know God's heart is people. God's heart is people, And

  580. when we plant chache, we know that we're out to

  581. reach people. We're not out to get attendance. We're out

  582. to reach people. We are to have people. We're out

  583. to you know, share people about God and see them

  584. experience God and see them have transformed lives, and see

  585. them grow in their faith, and see them experience life

  586. and have abundant life. You see, that's the goal to

  587. be saved, you know, not just to attend church. Hello.

  588. You know how boring it is if it's just about attendance,

  589. so boring life. Life is not boring, your FAFE, It's

  590. not boring. It's very exciting. One. It's very exciting when

  591. someone's sick and then you pray when they get healed,

  592. it's very exciting. It's very exciting when you see someone

  593. who got no direction in life and then you know

  594. they receive a word and then you see them change.

  595. It's so exciting to see that, right, and that's why

  596. we do it, So no need to question the purpose.

  597. We started. We prayed, We prayed, Lord bring and I

  598. remember the last time we prayed about you know. In PJ,

  599. one of the challenges was materialism, because that's the focus

  600. of people, you know, building, we building, We are building wealth. Right,

  601. It's not bad, it's not good, but it's become a god.

  602. It's not good, right, and we pray for that, and

  603. then we pray, of course for venue. Where are we

  604. going to meet? And let me tell you the story

  605. about how we got PJ lif us. So there was

  606. someone in the prayer group and say, hey, let's pray

  607. in my office, right, and the office was in jaia Wan,

  608. and we're like, okay, I want to pray. Better pray

  609. in PJ because the time we're praying souba. So we

  610. went went to BJ pray, pray in the office. And

  611. then suddenly he found out that oh, actually in jaia

  612. Wan that's a theater and we're like, oh, okay, let's

  613. try and see whatever you can meet there, and let's

  614. try and ask line in Quiela. And then we met

  615. up with the management and the management actually told us, hey,

  616. you know, before you guys inquired, we actually for one

  617. year a church was meeting here. I'm like, oh, great thing, right,

  618. A lot of ticks are but they had a very

  619. bad experience of the church. They had really they had

  620. a bad experence to the point that that you know,

  621. they were honest to say that we had a bad experience,

  622. and and we were like okay, like that, and we

  623. haven't even told them we were a church, ye know,

  624. and were like, do we tell you now because you

  625. got bad experience. But the interesting thing is that church

  626. helped them build that their third did that sound like?

  627. So it's like perfect for us at perfect? So you see,

  628. do we see a future? I see a lot of future.

  629. I see a lot of future, right, And then they

  630. say this is the costs. I can't remember. I think

  631. it's about two three thousand. Get the time one week?

  632. You know, I'm like, so expensive? And you see that time.

  633. I was an observer because pass the kind of EA

  634. was the one doing all the talking, and I was

  635. just watching by the side. Future favor faith, So future

  636. now need to seek God's favor. Don't you think it

  637. looked like uh uh, you know how to say a

  638. roadblock because they said, oh, we used to like check

  639. check check, and then suddenly, oh, you know, we decided

  640. to end that relationship with the church because we had challenges.

  641. They didn't go through what challenge? But we're like oh

  642. and then when they say, oh, actually what you wanted

  643. me every week? Then I say, well, actually we are

  644. a church and then we talk talk But they were

  645. quite keen. And then we thought, okay, we're not gonna

  646. get that place. Really, let's go look for other places.

  647. And after I actually looked at other hotels and really expensive,

  648. so one heard, but do you know they agreed to

  649. rent to us, and they were like, okay, God, is

  650. that you? And then next the price and then we

  651. said we can only afford this much, and then they

  652. said okay, it was almost fifty percent. And then we're like, hey, God,

  653. is that you? Remember what I said about favor? And again,

  654. at that time, I don't don't have the maturity to

  655. make decisions, so I just followed Puscnal's gonna say good good.

  656. You know what's getta say bad bad? You know, and

  657. so far it's been good, good good bad good good

  658. good good. Right to receive favor is to receive an

  659. act of kindness beyond what is due or usual. They

  660. didn't have to do that to USA. They didn't know USA.

  661. There was no some uncle reach nothing. They just like

  662. see us, like us, God's favor. We met in the

  663. place and I remember, actually we liked the theater. We

  664. met in the studio and two, you know, and maybe

  665. we're they're testing us. We're testing them right feelings out

  666. And I remember Pastor telling me Elvin the moment we

  667. hit fifty people, go to the theater really and I'm like,

  668. I me of little faith? Right, got maybe another six months?

  669. You know, we're practical, six months, one year. You know,

  670. we got to build right passive when you know you're

  671. planting these chairs. Do you know when we shift to

  672. the data three weeks later because we hit eighty people

  673. and I'm like, this is not sustainable. We have to

  674. shift the difference between the rental from the studio to

  675. the theater was three times small now, but got provided and

  676. we had favor and friends, can I testify this? Until

  677. today we have the favor of the lot from pjlf Arts.

  678. Let me tell you why they change your management three times.

  679. I'm still there. You are to know the funny thing

  680. every time they change your management and new management asked me,

  681. so passe Alvin, just wondering how does things work here?

  682. And I'm like, I'm the tenant, you are the manishment

  683. you you know what you mean. But how those things

  684. were here? It's so weird. It's such a weird thing.

  685. I tell you, it's the weirdest thing ever. But I

  686. recognize God's favor. You see, I understand and recognize where

  687. it's God's favor. So I always look for God's favor.

  688. And if God's favor not there, better not getting it

  689. sounds good, looks good. I see a future, but I

  690. don't see no favor. It's okay. Let me give you

  691. a story about Xbu. I still remember, and then passed

  692. Steven see I learnally teach him. So what are you

  693. Himo and passus? Steven knew fresh right freshy write everything

  694. new eagle right. Let's look for a venue in Quota

  695. da Mansara because before Xbu is ex God Damasara, what

  696. happened when when look? When look, He's chopped massel going final.

  697. Then I become like Pascna. Ah, now my turn to

  698. work and then decide. And then he found a few places.

  699. Then we found one possible. And remember if it's the

  700. name of the place. The hive was a minute. Sounds

  701. like a resident evil thing anyway. Yeah, so it was

  702. supposed to be let's tell this story. It was supposed

  703. to be like a shop lot three stories up, no liver, parents,

  704. no liver, one leave on one even small leaf cake anyway. Yeah,

  705. but he saw the future. This is the place we

  706. can reach out campus students. We can reach out all

  707. these wonderful campers students in export dramas are right passus Steven,

  708. but god Nula. He saw the favor, he saw the future.

  709. And then he tells me, and then I'm like, okay,

  710. and of course the dealing with some of it, it

  711. sounds nice, but not sure, not sure. And I remember

  712. we went and did a wrecky. We actually went in

  713. the WRECKI and Kanchangla. You know, we really said we're

  714. gonna branchish better, faster plan. Prady mar got open the door,

  715. you know, so much favor. He saw a lot of favor.

  716. He saw a lot of favor. Okay, he's all not

  717. not no, he's four, but he's and I thought a

  718. favor yeah yeah, but he this guy did this. This

  719. guy did the pricing decision. But then there were few

  720. things in the deal. There was a big evy. For example,

  721. they wanted to lock us in for a year because

  722. it was a rental of a shop loot. They didn't

  723. want to do weekly. But we were like, we're not

  724. sure because sometimes we have to combine. It will make

  725. it difficult. So already one which and then after that

  726. we did recky and I remember our church elders came

  727. and everyone left the place. Got a nice place for

  728. x kids, got a nice place for you know. He

  729. can imagine, Oh you know this is going to be.

  730. Then people are going to park here, and then you

  731. know you're gonna mac. You see a lot of future

  732. Banya future can see. But then the question is got

  733. favor or not? So the one thing I remember, I

  734. asked him hey, and then they lowered the rent thirdyll

  735. from what they wanted, so one check it on. But

  736. then there's just that one year contract. Once you commit

  737. your stuck. What if XB you grow, sorry, x K

  738. grow bigger. We're stuck. No, we are stuck there one

  739. thing and the other can you came? And this and

  740. other principle that I've learned, submission to your leaders and

  741. understanding the role of different ones in the organization. Right,

  742. the church elders are there to help govern the church.

  743. God will give them wisdom that I will never understand.

  744. El can came, so nolah doesn't work. Imagine when they

  745. are young families, you're better. Thank the Lord for these

  746. young families. Young families coming with their strollers and kids

  747. squeezing into that one small lift and going up and

  748. down the third floor and then packing also not the easiest,

  749. and all these things and passers. Stephen is the campus pastor, exchestion,

  750. no right, he needs to care for young families. Man,

  751. he's going to be a campus church. Plan right, passus Stephen.

  752. We cannot see. We cannot see. Elthers say no me

  753. elder is my discipler. Ethers say no means nola. Do

  754. I fully understand? Nope, But I'm sure there's the reason

  755. it was tough for him. You can go and talk

  756. to you after this we struggle. He not happy when

  757. I tell him no. He like, huh, I have to

  758. deal with this guy, you know, I promptly, so he

  759. had to go to his journey. And I told and

  760. see I knew God's favor enough to say don't work.

  761. So a few confirmations there should know work. But he

  762. didn't understand. Didn't understand future favor. Faith, didn't understand at all. No, friends, don't.

  763. As I'm sharing this story with you, I think that's

  764. how you'll be thanking God. Oh thank god. We didn't

  765. plan in X Katy and that chop block because we

  766. got so much better than you now. Thank god we

  767. didn't do that. Thank god it was not just a

  768. campus student just plant. Look at them male young families

  769. we had. Did we know? Did I know? Did he know?

  770. We didn't know? But we follow God's favor, okay. And

  771. then after that, let me share read this other story.

  772. I think something you might have heard this before. Ready,

  773. And then after that we were stuck for a while.

  774. Then Passecna suggested One World hotel, and then there was

  775. this thing about the name change maybe xbu becauses one

  776. World and stuff like that. We went one more hotel

  777. right when I look for venue, never considered it cost

  778. expensive hotel. So then they showed us the hall, beautiful hall,

  779. new renovated hall. How much five one weekend? Very expensive

  780. when they're five thousand okay? And then no, no, it

  781. was the five k one creative I K I remember

  782. five k okay? Anyway, he re three for five. Then

  783. we were going to leave it, you know, because okay,

  784. never mind, we're gonna leave. And then Andy said, hey,

  785. hold on, hold on, there's this one place we saw

  786. that might suit you guys. And we're like, okay, go

  787. in Seila. And that was where you're met when you

  788. were there, Okay, so you'll kind of know the ending

  789. of the storyline. And then after that he's like, okay,

  790. but this is less like maybe I don't twenty percent

  791. less from that, right, And we're like, okay, still cannotford.

  792. And I remember by the time, I think Steven is

  793. so like give up with you don't want to fight

  794. a day, right because I remember telling him asked for

  795. fifty percent, and he like he last time he used

  796. a question like hah, but it's solely turn you know.

  797. Then he like, I just followed, Nila. How did they

  798. say follow following you? If I'm right, you know, I

  799. can't blame him later, maybe they agreed to the fifty percent.

  800. Don't you think that God's favor? You see, that's the

  801. reason why we move in this direction, you know, because

  802. so much favor in their place, right, God favor not

  803. in the place. Let me ask you that God there

  804. you can see it. You can see the favor of

  805. the Lord. Right. And of course I'm just using church

  806. and ministry, But do you know that the favor of

  807. the lot doesn't just apply to church and ministry. It

  808. applies to a lot of things in your life. How

  809. I got my house a lot of favor. God opened

  810. door to different things I never had. We got to

  811. learn to see God's favor. And there are many, many

  812. more testimonies, and of course I think Possessed Steven has

  813. shared how God opened the door for your to meet here.

  814. We are constantly looking for God's favor. Friends, And when

  815. you when you are, when you know how to look

  816. for God's favor, and when you understand it will be

  817. well with you. You will be successful in the things

  818. that you do. You will be less stressed out, you

  819. will be happier or more joyful. But when we can

  820. see a future, don't really regard whether God's favor or

  821. every single thing is God's favor? Very dangerous, no, so

  822. just because it's good doesn't mean it's God. You'll catch

  823. something and on. I've got one line that I always

  824. ask myself right and to be honest, sometimes I will

  825. find myself making decisions because any of the day we're

  826. not perfect. I will make decisions thinking that it's God's

  827. favor and all. And then I will find myself in

  828. this place and I will always ask myself this question,

  829. does this give me grief? You know it's different with

  830. stress No, stress is stressed. Everything you do is stress.

  831. Sometimes something you do are is stressful, but you're still

  832. willing to do it because you see a perposon fulfillment.

  833. But when you experience grief is a totally different thing.

  834. Grief equivalent to regret or so you regret constantly. Why

  835. they do this, why they are made the decisions? Why

  836. there you know all these things you find yourself in

  837. that situation grief, Then I know it's not from the Lord,

  838. because I know God never gave me, never want to

  839. put me in a place of constant grief. Maybe stress

  840. to expeand capacity God. Maybe when I know that it's

  841. things that I need to learn about myself, yes I'll grow.

  842. But grief is never in the picture. That's why. Sometimes

  843. for those of us who you know, when you talk

  844. to your disciple or holid, sometimes the question is do

  845. you feel the peace of God as you make this decision?

  846. That's the question, not do you feel peace? No, you

  847. feel God's peace on it, and you feel good peace

  848. and decilah. But then when you feel God's peace and

  849. then you decide, and then you go through grief, then

  850. you got to ask the question, Then I really feel

  851. it correctly, or I was so hell bentned used that

  852. term of hell band on one thing to do it

  853. my way, that everything was from God. It's a good

  854. question to ask ourselves. That's why at the end of

  855. the day, if there is more strife, hardship, heartaches compared

  856. to testimonies, see, there will be challenges, but the challenges

  857. will be circumvented with testimonies. But if the challenges is

  858. not circumvented with testimonies, then you got to ask yourself

  859. that question, is this still the right decision? God? Are

  860. you still here? And if God shows here he's still there,

  861. then carry on. If God doesn't show that he's still there,

  862. then you've got to come to Jesus. You know, we

  863. say have a come to Jesus Moburn, Say Lord, sorry,

  864. I went ahead of myself, so I need to come

  865. back and realign. Right, let's talk about the third principle

  866. faith right Matthil fourteen twenty nine. Then Peter got down

  867. out the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

  868. Jesus and say Peter, come, come, Peter, come come. And

  869. then he grabbed Peter and pull him out. He's standing here,

  870. and he said Peter, Come, Peters. He had to stand

  871. up and come. This is the other thing. We see

  872. a future. We see God's favor, but we don't want

  873. to move. God, Please show me more, show me more. Right,

  874. A need to make the decision, give me a give me,

  875. give me the money of us. That's not faith. This

  876. is why it's important to see God's favor, because when

  877. you have God's favor there not just his word, no

  878. his favor. Then we need the faith to move forward.

  879. Second Corinthums five seven says, for we walk by faith

  880. and not by sight. Proverbs three five eight. Trust in

  881. the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on

  882. your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him. He

  883. shall direct your path. You know what. Faith is important

  884. because Hebrews eleven says six eleven sixcess. But without faith

  885. it is impossible to please him. For he who comes

  886. to God must believe that he is, that He is

  887. a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. After we

  888. saw the favor of the Lord, we have to move

  889. forward with faith, you know. And sometimes we move forward

  890. with faith and then challenges happen. Then we realign again, God,

  891. are you here okay? You're here, let me move forward.

  892. That's how. It is a step by step.

  893. You know.

  894. It's not a food on let's go all the way

  895. everything we do. See as I'm sharing with you about

  896. what happened with you and all, it was a step

  897. by step. It was not a oh, green light, green light,

  898. green light, go go, go, go go. No, it was

  899. a step by step. This un can no thissun can

  900. or not. You want to be sure. So it's not

  901. blindly just going to anything. But once you receive, then

  902. move really. Once we receive check check, check, not much issue.

  903. Move really or do we see a whole back? Oh,

  904. I'm not sure, allowed to see how? I'm not sure?

  905. Allowed to see how? No, once you receive, then have

  906. to move in faith. There will be an element now

  907. that we will have to move in faith. No, that's

  908. the reality of it. There will be an element that

  909. we have to trust God and move in faith. Amen,

  910. have two. It is by faith that this church plan

  911. was planted. Do we know that all of you will

  912. be coming today? No? Do we know that we'll have

  913. different ones that have now come to call XBU their home. No,

  914. Before XBU existed some of the faces here. We also

  915. don't know. Somehow the Lord let you hear XBJ when

  916. it started. I know that there will be people coming,

  917. there will be people calling. No, there were a lot

  918. of people that when we started the church plan. They

  919. came and they grew, and I see them discipling other people.

  920. We have to move in faith. Once we know that

  921. God is with us, move in faith. Sometimes we get

  922. stuck here. As I say, the first one, everybody can do,

  923. no problem. Second one at least can recognize. Can once

  924. you know recognize, you recognize because like I said, just

  925. using an example of PJ, I observe passa Kennav. I

  926. see how he moved. I follow, and then I try

  927. to replicate with Steven de Zybersham, same situation. He didn't understand,

  928. but he submitted and he followed. Then he caught it.

  929. The shift from avan from from uh from one word

  930. to him? Is he lying Himselven? He jiled himself because

  931. he knew, and he brought the LSBO along. And your

  932. saw the favor. You cannot deny the favor, right, Isn't

  933. it awesome?
