And so as I've you know, been preaching from Jeremiah
-
because God has been I believe, you know, just leading
-
me to that after a few chapters.
-
You know, have you seen the Book of Jeremiah? Have
-
you read it? Right?
-
It's long and then you really right, it's a lot
-
of like, uh, you know, I'm gonna condemn them, I'm
-
gonna judge them. They're gonna yeah, it's all this kind
-
of stuff. And Jeremiah is like, I'll try and and
-
and and and God tells Jeremiah, gon't preach to them,
-
and they won't listen to you, but you're just gonna
-
do it, you know, uh not not like here we
-
appreciate everybody listen here and everybody follow all right, okay,
-
but but God is telling Jeremiah, gon't preciate them. They
-
won't listen to you, but just preach it. And they
-
will also, you know, do stuff to you. And are
-
you are you gonna obey something like that? Right?
-
You know?
-
Really?
-
You you say, go to this place, they're gonna slap you,
-
they're gonna beat you, but you're gonna appreciate to them anyway.
-
What Okay, Destiny is that right?
-
So so, but Jeremiah does it, and he gets beaten
-
up and he gets tort and he still does it
-
and then God, you know, God preserves his life.
-
He doesn't die.
-
He's tortured very horribly, things like he was like putting
-
like I don't know, like in a position, you know,
-
and with using some tool whatever it is a torture tool.
-
And he stays there in a fixed position for days,
-
perhaps weeks, and then release.
-
And I don't know how he survived that.
-
But you know, if you are locked in the room
-
for one day, you also feel out.
-
But he's just.
-
Stuck, stuck in a position one of those I think
-
not only ones, but a few times he gets tortured
-
that way, and he still carries on.
-
Amen.
-
So you know, the people of God in those days,
-
they really go through so much and they still obey.
-
And I pray that we you know, wake up morning,
-
come practice a little bit a thing like you know,
-
nothing like you know, ah, didn't get enough sleep, wake
-
up eye and nothing like, come on, I have to
-
do assignment night before we all torture.
-
Man, I have to do some mission that wake up.
-
Still have to preach nothing like okay, all right, So
-
they've been tortured. We torture a little bit. No problem,
-
no problem, I got this.
-
Uh.
-
There's this guy in Cyberjaya. His name is Anderson Man.
-
We love him all right. He's Olivia's kid, all right.
-
I think he's eight, what nine nine? Nine years old.
-
He goes to school. He's now like I think, assistant
-
monitor in class. Ah, that's kind of.
-
That type, you know. And uh, this is the thing.
-
The government school is still cooler some days some day
-
because he I hear him talk and he said, I
-
go for badminton. Hey, this is not government school. I
-
just go for bedminton training. He said, I go for badminton.
-
I go with winton. And he looks like he knows
-
how to play joints, competition and stuff. And then I say, hey,
-
so you joink petition called competition you win or not?
-
He is it?
-
No, my team's too weak. Sometimes we go to talk
-
like that. Uh are we too weak? Not got me
-
strong man?
-
All right? Okay?
-
And we could and Noah, in terms of physical I
-
know Albert our lift, okay, and most of us are
-
weaker than him.
-
Muscles except for passeng He right, he runs that.
-
So anyway, don't be weak man, don't be weak, all right?
-
In the Lord, I mean we.
-
Are weak, like we are weak, we can acknowledge that.
-
But in the Lord, you know, we are made strong.
-
And then the job of the Lord is our strength.
-
So anyway, uh, where was I?
-
So Jeremiah? The background is that, And so.
-
I've been going and I go like, how much can
-
I preach, you know, from Jeremiah and not sound negative
-
and not sound like you know, torture, pain, you know, punishment,
-
And so I keep wanting to move on. You're like, Lord,
-
I'm going to preach a new testimony or look at Romance,
-
you know. And then so I pray and I try opening,
-
you know, other books, and then I just come back
-
to Jeremiah again because there's so much in it. There's
-
so much in it, and the Lord, you know, showed
-
me even from these chapters you can really preach it
-
because but Lord is disciple first, how to how to
-
twist to disciple first? Then you showed me this is
-
all discipleship. This is all discipleship in Jeremiah. Okay, So anyway,
-
chapter eleven, right now, chapter eleven, let's look at it. Yeah,
-
that's our theme a right, still our theme Disciple first,
-
and I keep reminding, ex hyper Jaya is July already,
-
It's July already, And how we do with disciple first?
-
August soon? Right?
-
So I know we've been hearing right the sermons. Here,
-
be a disciple, make disciple, be a disciple. So question
-
to all ourselves, are we a disciple by now? It's
-
seven seven months?
-
Ready? Huh?
-
So if you're not yet, you need to ask the leaders,
-
say what you haven't approached me yet? Because then they'll
-
ask you why you haven't approached? All right, So it
-
takes too long. So approach someone, be a disciple. And
-
then if you're already a disciple, you need to be
-
making disciples, all right, because the loop is that you've
-
got to finish that loop.
-
You've got to finish. You've got to do the make.
-
Disciple part to truly be a disciple, all right, So
-
let's do that. Church will be okay?
-
All right? XKK, are you're alive?
-
Yeah?
-
Wow? Eight am? Group and you're alive. Hallelujah? Who okay?
-
All right because you get breakfast? Just kidding, all right?
-
Okay? Church?
-
So so chapter eleven, let's go. I've got some slices here.
-
So children, if you're taking notes. I highlighted words. You
-
can you don't have to copy the whole verse, just
-
high copy the highlighted versus or words you know in red.
-
And also you can draw the pictures I put up
-
there if you don't write so much. Okay, adults, okay, right,
-
however you want, okay, all right, however you need to.
-
So all right, Chapter eleven, let's read verse one, the
-
word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord. Hear the
-
words of this covenant and speak to the men of
-
Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. So the title I
-
gave to the message this morning is covenant versus conspiracy.
-
Covenant versus conspiracy. Okay, so let's let's look into it.
-
What is a covenant? All right? Especially, and what what
-
does it mean to be in a conspiracy? All right?
-
Not aliens, not ufo, all right? So here we go.
-
Verse one, as we read it, says here covenant, here
-
the words of this covenant. I want to say, what
-
is a covenant. I want to talk about what the
-
covenant is. A covenant is a promise, an agreement. So
-
for example, in marriage, it's a covenant you say a
-
vow to each other. There is a promise you make
-
to each other, and uh, you know when you do that,
-
there's a meaning to that. You are saying, I will
-
do my part. You as do your part, and then
-
this will work. If we do our part in the government,
-
in the covenant, things.
-
Will work, all right.
-
But so can you imagine if you know, two people
-
get married and they say, you know, I'm married to you.
-
I will get married to you till death the worst part, right,
-
all right, for better or for worse. It always sounds
-
good at that part there right then, because but the
-
thing is quite interesting.
-
I thought about it.
-
Right when you say those vows, you haven't you you
-
haven't done it yet. You haven't really done it yet.
-
You haven't You shouldn't be staying with each other yet
-
before that, right, So after you say it that our
-
then only the first day you'll experience it. There's a
-
lot of faith. There's a lot of faith because before
-
that you were dating. You kind of have an idea
-
you got. That's why counseling it's also good, and you
-
go deeper right to to ask bigger questions, because if
-
you don't go through counseling, everything is all like surface
-
pre pre pre marriage, pre marriage counseling p MC.
-
Right, that's what we do in our church.
-
And so you when you do that, you get a
-
bit deeper and you have an you know, you have
-
an idea because you ask hard questions, like you know
-
about if if if you don't have enough money, how
-
if the guy doesn't have enough money, he lost his job,
-
doesn't earn, you're still going to stay with him?
-
Right?
-
So we asked sometimes all right, because I always talk
-
about that because I think I still earn lesson chill.
-
I think, yeah, and yeah, maybe I don't know by now,
-
but but.
-
I always bring it up because I say, you know,
-
I because doctor Jill, doctor Jill, right from the start,
-
already earning bigger than me.
-
Right, ah, my reward is in heaven.
-
But uh, because I started off as a full time worker,
-
all right, which also okay on okay, and all the.
-
Full time workers say, okay.
-
So I always bring this up in PMC because I say,
-
are you going to are you going to be afraid?
-
Are you going to be shaky?
-
You're going to be nervous because your wife earns bigger
-
than you, all right, and I uh, and uh, you
-
know she has more title than you, uh doctor right
-
the time I didn't title that, So so you have
-
to be secure man. So I mean what I'm saying
-
is uh again back to marriage, right, marriage covenant? So
-
we talk about that, and so can you imagine you know,
-
you say the vow and then when you get married
-
you don't want to do your part. You don't do that,
-
all right, you don't go, you don't live up to
-
for better for worse. The makeup is not on anymore, right, yeah,
-
you go what you look like? All this one never
-
seen there? They think all make up on and everything okay,
-
and the breath is all right, this morning breath. Everybody
-
has it, right, Yeah, you just didn't realize that then
-
now better for worse?
-
Are you going to do it? Now?
-
You're already covenant man, you already promise, you already made
-
an agreement. So if you can you imagine if the
-
one part doesn't do the part, then the other part
-
can't really function. Right, they can try their best, but
-
how long can that be? So the same thing here
-
the covenant of God. You know, when God made a
-
covenant with his people, he said, okay, this is my part.
-
I'm God, I'm going to do my part, and he
-
always does his part. Now, he never fails, he never
-
makes it, never makes a mistake slightly a bit not
-
fair because human make mistake, right, So gods know, He's like,
-
we make covenant, I will do my part. Of course,
-
I will do my part right, and you need to
-
do your part. But I think I guess God is
-
very fair because he makes the part easy to do, right.
-
And so the humans they don't do their part, and
-
so they broke the covenant.
-
And what do we have right now?
-
A broken covenant? So uh, you know that that that's
-
the thing that the covenant gets broken. And so God says, oh,
-
and remember when uh we already say, right when you
-
break the covenment the covenant, what will happen?
-
Also there's a consequence to it.
-
Yeah, And so I asked, I want to ask us here,
-
how are we as a partners in the covenant with
-
the Lord? We are in a covenant with God as well. Right,
-
it's a partnership, right, it's not one sided. It's not
-
a magician. Right means oh, every time we come to you,
-
you do your part. We all okay, you know, need
-
we have a part as well. And I thank God
-
for ex church. Right, we talk about partnership all the time.
-
I remember, I always remember what Pastor Kenneth says to us.
-
You know, we don't do membership here. We call it
-
partnership instead because member, you know member right when you
-
you how many hear your member of golf club?
-
I don't need to raise your hand. It's okay. Everybody
-
will come looking for you.
-
But so you know you're part of a golf club,
-
You're part of a chess club, You're part of whatever club.
-
Most times are you join a club you want to
-
demand for stuff? You say, yeah, pay membership, FEMA. So
-
what happened to the grass?
-
How come not grown? I cannot play golf properly? You know.
-
You play on grass. I don't play God, sorry, so
-
you say it. I've been to the swimming pool, all right,
-
get someone to cleaner. You know the membership we paid.
-
So members are more of that kind, you know, like consumers,
-
they look for service. But partners, partners they know I
-
have a part to play, all right, I'm I'm part
-
of this organization and I have a role here. So
-
that's why we encourage partnership. Everyone say partnership. I didn't
-
hear everyone okay, right right, best thing? Yeah, everyone say partnership.
-
All right, that's the sound of xkk okay, So right,
-
The question is how is our partnership? How is how
-
how has our relationship been with the Lord? Have we
-
been doing our part? God definitely has done his part,
-
all right, He's always doing his part and the ball
-
is always back on our court. Again, what's our part?
-
And I want to say, I thank God in for
-
ex church. We do partnership and so one of uh
-
and we we have it's a platform X church is
-
a platform for us to fulfill our partnership role.
-
You know that. So how do you do that?
-
Right? So part of it is like when you sign
-
up to serve, you're doing your partnership role. When you
-
come and be a part of the church, that's your role.
-
God wants to speak, God wants to bring down his presence.
-
God wants to move, and his people respond, you know,
-
by just being here first. That's the that's the first thing.
-
Being here first. And when you are like taking notes,
-
you're receiving your You're saying yeah, amen, I receive it
-
from the Lord.
-
You're doing your role.
-
And when you join PAU, when you go out there
-
for the community when you join homes, when you sign
-
up and then you know, some of you you sign
-
up and be full time, you're serving. It's past us
-
as ministers. That's your role where we're playing our partnership role.
-
Amen. Amen, we say amen, you're playing your role as well.
-
All right, all right.
-
In many ways you can play a role. Even when
-
you raise your children. There's a way I know, I
-
don't know where. You notice what I've been doing here
-
with Eli that I don't have to because you're worshiping right,
-
busy good. So what I've been doing even with my
-
own children, I've been learning this I do whether I
-
don't know whether it's fully right, but I am making
-
them worship God. Because you leave it to them alone,
-
it may not happen anytime soon. So I say, guys,
-
raise your hands, lift your hands, you worship God. You
-
lift your hands. We're standing there and just looking. You've
-
got to sing it out and teach them. I mean,
-
hopefully one day is more of them willingly doing it themselves.
-
But at least they know the tools, right. You know,
-
when you lift your hands, something happens. I saw that recently.
-
When you lift your hands, the blood from your hands
-
go down into your heart, and your heart gets more
-
blood for medical reasons. I just raise your hand lod
-
if you want to, right, I feel it. I feel
-
the strength when I lift my hands. I actually feel strong.
-
But more than that, when you lift your hands, it's spiritual.
-
You're lifting your hands saying surrender, Lord. I surrender to you.
-
I acknowledge you are King and you are Lord. That's
-
why I lift my hands and I say I can't
-
do it on my own. Yeah, so the next time,
-
don't worry you can. You can all lift your hands
-
and worship.
-
It's okay. You look the same like all the rest
-
of your or your fish other I know sometimes.
-
You don't want to compeech out of like, ah yeah,
-
the guy raise hand ready, I gotta give another style, lie,
-
you know, I don't worry about that. I'll raise head
-
the same local says it's okay, all right, however, I
-
want to raise like that a little a different variation,
-
but actually best is all the way up, all right, okay.
-
But I'm just saying I'm teaching my children to also,
-
and I'm saying that's your partnership role, right when you
-
treat your wife the way you should according to the
-
word of God or your husband. All right, you are
-
doing your partnership role. Amen, everyone doing Okay, yeah, so
-
that's partnership.
-
Let's move on.
-
Okay, read on, read on, Okay. Jeremiah eleven three to five.
-
You shall say to them, thus says the Lord, the
-
God of Israel. Cursed be the man who does not
-
hear the words of this covenant that I commanded your
-
father's when I brought them out of the land of
-
Egypt from the iron furnace, saying, listen to my voice
-
and do all that I command you. So shall you
-
be my people, and I will be your God, that
-
I may confirm the oath that I swore to your
-
father's to give them a land flowing with milk and
-
honey as at this day. Then I answered, so be it, Lord,
-
all right. So it says here, you know, curse be
-
the man who does not hear the words of this covenant.
-
So if we turn away from this, it's already a curse.
-
So if you you know, not even it's not saying
-
if you don't do this covenant, but if you don't
-
even want to listen to it, it's a curse, all right.
-
So it reminds me of John chapter three, seventeen to eighteen.
-
You know, it says, for God did not send his
-
son into the world to condemn the world, but in
-
order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever
-
believes in him is not condemned. But whoever does not
-
believe is condemned already because he has not believed in
-
the name of the only Son of God. So I
-
want to tell you that just wanting to listen, wanting
-
to pay attention and say, God, I want to just
-
hear what you want to say to me. First, that
-
first and foremost, that's a blessing, all right. But if
-
you already reject the word of God, right, it's a curse.
-
And so many people outside there, they're all cursed because
-
they don't know the world of God.
-
They reject the word of God.
-
But people of God, we should be the first one
-
to want the word of God in our hearts.
-
Right. Yeah, maybe we need to process it.
-
Maybe we don't like it yet, right what it says
-
to us, because some of it is quite heavy, quite
-
you know, it's it's hard, but it's good, it's healthy.
-
Amen.
-
And so you know, we don't like vegetables just like,
-
but we eat it because we know it's healthy. So
-
the same thing with the word of God. It's healthy.
-
But but the word God tastes good. Say taste and
-
see the Lord is good man. So I want to
-
say one more thing here as we read the last verse.
-
There just now he says, so be it Lord, So
-
be it Lord, And that's where we get a man.
-
Jeremiah responded to God, so be it Lord. Amen, Lord.
-
So it's not just simply you know, we just say amen,
-
but amen is our way of responding to God.
-
You know, we can't just listen.
-
Only Jeremiah heard that say, oh, curse be those who
-
reject the word of God.
-
And then he says amen.
-
He responds, you know, when we hear the word of God,
-
and we hear you know that there's consequence for not
-
for rejecting the word of God, you know, and then
-
there should be a response.
-
There should be a response.
-
There should be uh, you know, like some fear of
-
God and go like whoa, Okay, is this condemnation and
-
this curse if we reject Jesus.
-
And so I want to receive the word of God.
-
I want to say amen instead and requires and I
-
put a slightly I think response response. Are we responding
-
you heard this morning about the Covenant? You heard this
-
morning the question what is our part? And are you
-
are we going to respond? Are we going to respond
-
to the word of God? Are we going to respond
-
in our action? Are we going to respond in uh,
-
the thing that you know you're supposed to do next?
-
You know everybody knows what you're supposed to do next.
-
But we procrastinate, right and we wait, and we say, oh,
-
God hasn't called me yet one all right, He has
-
already called his Bible is fully written, completed, all right,
-
and his message is already clear, all right. And the
-
leaders here they represent God and they call you on
-
behalf of him.
-
He says, sign up and serve. Sign up myself. All right?
-
You can take that as God ready as you're like
-
God's wordler, because Scott uses them to speak that. But
-
of course you want confirmation some more. Go ahead, but
-
please pray, pray, say God, where do you want me
-
to serve? Not so much do you want me to serve?
-
Where God do you want me to serve?
-
All right? And when he says here all right, normally
-
is okay?
-
Tomorrow I will Okay, tomorrow quick, quick obedience is best. Amen,
-
So all right, so be it? Amen, Amen, and everyone
-
say amen Ali Louiah. Amen, all right, we move on
-
verse correct seven to eight, right, okay, six six, Okay,
-
here we go.
-
All right.
-
And the Lord said to me, proclaim all these words
-
in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem.
-
Hear the words of this covenant, and do them. Whoa,
-
hear the words of this covenant, and do them? And
-
he says here the word I want to highlight here
-
is proclaim. Proclaim. When when we receive the word, we
-
know there's a covenant. We know we have a part
-
to play, and we respond, we say, so be it, Lord, Amen.
-
And once we respond, like I said, you know you
-
the loop is not done if you become a disciple
-
unless you start making disciples. All right, make disciples everyone,
-
someone you know, say to your neighbor, make disciples. Hey,
-
say to your neighbor, you look at me, okay, all.
-
Right, make disciples.
-
Right. And one of the ways to make disciples is
-
to proclaim, is to speak, is to share.
-
You know, there's a guy in ex Ciber Jaya, right.
-
His name is Keith. His name is Keith.
-
He's leaving already the you know, last Sunday, supposed to
-
last Sunday. But anyway, he had something something to do.
-
He's not in ex ciber Jaya today. He's with his family,
-
all right, So anyway, good guy. So what happened was
-
I invited him to be part of the huddle in
-
ex cyber Jaya. He said yes, Praise God.
-
All right.
-
He don't know everything, but he said yes, and he
-
joined and he joined the huddle. And then, you know,
-
in huddle we always tell them, hey, guys, you need
-
to make disciples. You need to find someone in your
-
homes to look out for and speak into their lives,
-
speaking to their lives. So no, Keith, you know everyone
-
there it's like yeah, yeah, okay, taking notes, Yes, okay,
-
And then a a few, you know, weeks past, and
-
then we asked again, have you all found anyone? Have
-
you all identified anyone? Have you all approached anyone? Very quiet,
-
very quiet? No, not many, uh, you know, mostly the girls.
-
The girls do it very quicker.
-
I don't know. It's just fine, okay, fine, guys, men
-
in the house. We can do it. We can do it. Yeah,
-
I see them smiling. You know the smile.
-
Their response is smiling. Okay, so okay, yea, all right,
-
So men quiet in my huddle.
-
So I finally zoomed in on. You know, somebody's been
-
zooming you talk like that.
-
It's like yeah, yeah, yeah, right, but they're zooming at
-
well honestly, they're honest with you, guys.
-
Okay. So so I zoom in on Keith and say, hey, Keith,
-
so what's going on? Tell me?
-
Then he said, there's this guy, right, I said, I
-
recommended the guy to Himsel, why don't you talk.
-
To this guy?
-
And he say, yeah, y yeah, okay Ken Ken two
-
week past and nothing right.
-
He's like, this is processing. That's what we do. That's
-
what guys do. Process.
-
But once the process is done, halley lujah. So anyway,
-
so he uh, he's like, they honest with me. And
-
I say, I've been thinking, but how to approach the
-
guy because they're almost pierced. But same age, you need
-
you need mates, you know, college student. He's so like, think,
-
I'm just a college student, a pastor. What do you
-
expect me to do? I'm not a pastor, you know,
-
like I'm not this grown man or whatever. Right, then
-
you are a grown man. But anyway, so I say,
-
I say, oh, okay, so that's the issue here, come Keith,
-
why don't you just invite this guy?
-
His name is chok.
-
I don't know why his name is choke, but Choker
-
Choke h a O K rightch Okay?
-
So I said, invite you invite this guy and just
-
tell him I want to do a huddle with you.
-
It's like like that, it's just my friend who need
-
like mess our relationship up, our friendship. I said, maybe,
-
but okay, like this, I help you. If you feel
-
you can't do it on your own, you invite me.
-
You invite me.
-
I sit there with you all if the words can
-
come out of your mouth, I'll tell you guys straight
-
say guys, I said, Chuck, he's your huddle leader.
-
I said, I'll do that. How about that? They're like, oh, yeah, okay,
-
get Google God support there.
-
He's he's brave enough to do it because you know support,
-
I give you your tips on yours.
-
Can do that, all right? So uh so I I
-
you know, finally, finally he didn't need my help.
-
He just got the guy sat with him and started
-
sharing stuff with him, sharing stuff from the huddle with him,
-
sharing and sharing. I just want to share with you this, this,
-
this is, and therefore this is a huddle he explains,
-
you know, hoddle and say like, and you know I'm
-
supposed to, you know, lead you as a huddle leader.
-
Then Chock's like, oh yeah, good, hey, hey, it's better
-
than we are thinking. We all only like to put
-
fear in our own lives. This unnecessary lae right guys, guys, right,
-
we put off fear in our own lives. That's not necessary,
-
it's non existent. Then why because we want to stop
-
ourselves from doing the thing. So when Keith didn't, I
-
think he shocked himself as well, Like so easy on.
-
You know why, I tell you the truth. People are
-
looking for people are looking for leadership. People are looking
-
for it and they don't know where to find it,
-
and they're just waiting for someone to them. Okay, hallelujah,
-
and man, so are we gonna do it? Guys, ladies,
-
you're already doing it, just sitting okay, all right, all right, okay,
-
So let's do it. Proclaim, proclaim. When you want to
-
make disciples, you've got to speak into their lives. You've
-
got to proclaim. I tell you one more thing, all right.
-
I used to there's this other guy in uh bring
-
up love story because my experience there so uh. This
-
guy's name is Sean. Sean is a nice guy, so friendly,
-
so nice. He's been in church for a long time.
-
Thank god he's still in church, right because his huddle
-
leader has changed many times, multiple times zone from those
-
days until now and then I think I can still
-
look at his face, like keep changing the leader. See,
-
he almost gave up, hope, really gave up this whole.
-
I handle ideas like what I always change the leader,
-
you know, why not his fault? The hard leader keeps
-
migrating and sorry, move on, migrant movement out of church,
-
leave church.
-
All this gonna stop. And he is the one getting
-
all these kind of handed leaders. I don't know why.
-
Okay, at least three four times I can count. So
-
then he is like almost gave up. I said, okay,
-
I'll take you up. When I took him up, honestly spinning,
-
I did nothing with him much, I did, I didn't
-
do much with him now right, just that at least
-
I was there, at least I didn't leave him, all right,
-
So I made a bit of difference from the other
-
hand of leaders by not leaving him, and every time
-
I at least I see him on Sundays like hey,
-
I'm still here, and I never thruns him anything. But
-
recently because of this disciples, First, thank you pastor for
-
you know, being obedient to put this thing in place.
-
I said, now, now let's I'll meet up at least
-
now there's meeting. At least now there's a bit more
-
organized system meeting, and Sean is invited as well because
-
he's part of my huddle. So Sean, you know, sits
-
in and hears. And now because it's so official, it's
-
so clear. Now I'm very bold when I speak to Sean.
-
Used to be, you know, she has this family situation.
-
Now sometimes I mean his his his his parents are
-
you know, separated, so his mom comes to church, but
-
his dad is you know, not in church. And sometimes
-
he invites the dad invites him to come to kind
-
of stay in his house, you know, bonding or whatever
-
it is. And it always happens over the weekend. So
-
when it happens, Sean just nicely will say, but I
-
gotta go to my dad's house and sorry, I won't
-
be around on Sunday I'm like, normally, because he's so nice,
-
I don't dare to say no to him.
-
I'll say, oh, thanks for telling her, Okay, have fun.
-
You know, like one of those things it's like all right,
-
see you next week, kind of like go ahead, go ahead,
-
I've done it for you know, a few rounds three.
-
But because recently disciples first, recently the handle system became
-
official like that in Cyberjaya at least, and I'm sure
-
here as well and many other plants, I something also
-
twisted or changed in me and go like wait, wait,
-
don't give so fast to answer it. He recently asked,
-
getting passive, I'm going to my dad's house, you know,
-
so Sunday won't be around. So I'm like, I didn't
-
answer so fast. There's something in me, the Holy Spirit
-
I believe, just like like stop, I almost say, okay,
-
go ahead, but this is choue.
-
You know. And then suddenly I said, Sean, how about church?
-
I think he got a shock. It's like I never
-
asked me this. Suddenly you know? How about church? About church?
-
Wait?
-
You will you go to church on Sunday? Are you
-
going to a church somewhere there? Like you know, with
-
your dad maybe. Then he's like, uh no, not really.
-
I said, can you at least come back to church.
-
You can go and say Sunday you come lah, then
-
you go back.
-
Lad.
-
I suddenly had this boldness to speak into his life,
-
speaking to his life. I know, I know people won't
-
like it. Right, It's like, hey, all this wild, you're
-
so nice to be. Suddenly you want to control my life.
-
I wasn't controlling his life. I was just challenging him.
-
I said, hey, how about church. I didn't say you
-
must come to church. I didn't say that. I said
-
how just ask him a question. Then he's like, well,
-
I saw him struggle a bit and he's like yeah.
-
Then he's like, ah, I uh, I mean it's hard,
-
Like I say, he said, it's hard, but I will try.
-
I will try.
-
I'll try to talk to my father. I said, how
-
about bring your dad to church? Even more, I said,
-
even bolder, you know, bring your.
-
Dad to church.
-
I said, yeah, I think we did try before, but
-
he's not he's not a believer. He's like no, he's
-
like like you know, they kin'd think. And then week
-
a week after two, I you know, I was sitting
-
down with Sean again and then with others and I
-
was just you know, just sharing about you know, guys,
-
you I also sharing. I said, guys, why don't you
-
be bold and speak into your people's life. Don't be
-
so nice to them, only be nice to them, but
-
don't just be nice to them, right, challenge them because
-
if you don't, who's going to do it.
-
Actually, if we don't, nobody's going to do it, right.
-
Because everybody said, yeah, you do whatever you want, right,
-
just be comfortable, be happy. Right, But I told them,
-
and I gave example what Sean said. You know, I
-
you know, I challenged Sean. I know Sean, he was
-
not comfortable about it. Buy I challenged him. Then, you know,
-
I said, you know, pass the Jack. I want to
-
tell you something. Thank you for doing that. He said,
-
thank you for doing that, because that really challenged me.
-
I went back. I spoke to my mom about it,
-
and I said, we are going to come to church.
-
It changed.
-
It changed him, right. I didn't force him. He you know,
-
he got the conviction and he made the decision to change.
-
And he said, thank you passa Jack for speaking into
-
that situation. Hey man, hallelujah, praise God. Come on, let's
-
you've got praise man, so proclaim, proclaim all right? Uh
-
secon tim too says right, and what you have heard
-
from me in the presence of many witnesses, and trust
-
to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
-
And that's where we get it from about passing on.
-
Everyone say, pass it on.
-
Pass it on.
-
That's the word we always use. Hey, pass it on
-
to the next person. Pass it on to your disciple,
-
pass it on. We get it from your hudder leader,
-
pass it on. So you need to remember what you
-
heard in huddle on. You know, if you if you
-
didn't know that when you go to huddle you hear it, right,
-
you need to actually pass it on. So remember so
-
you can pass it on. Don't after that you heard it,
-
you got what did that? Leaders say, they start going,
-
you know, start to cook up stuff.
-
Don't.
-
All right, he passed it on. That's very important. And
-
actually that's what I'm doing here. I'm passing on stuff
-
that I've heard from AX Church. I'm talking about partnership.
-
I'm talking about discipleship. I'm talking about passing it on.
-
It's all in our extrach DNA and culture that comes
-
from the word of God.
-
All right, okay, okay, where are we now? All right?
-
Verse seven A says four, I solemnly warn your father's
-
when I brought them up out of the land of Egypt,
-
wanting warning them persistently even to this day, saying obey
-
my voice. Yet they did not obey or incline their ear.
-
But everyone walked in the stubbornness of his evil heart.
-
Therefore I brought upon them all the words of this covenant,
-
which I commanded them to do, but.
-
They did not. All right, I solemnly warned. Did you
-
see that word there means a god.
-
He takes it seriously because we say, oh, this is
-
my solemn vow right in marriage, solemn vow. So the
-
same thing here, solemn, a solemn warning. I'm very serious
-
about this. Let me tell you something. Okay, God is
-
saying that, and he persistently does that, you know he
-
you know, God is so merciful. He warns us again
-
and again and again. He gives us lots and lots
-
of time, years after years, to respond.
-
All right.
-
That's where that's why we say He's merciful. That's why
-
we say, you know, he he gives us a chance.
-
And I want to tell all of us here, we've
-
all been given a chance. And I will tell you
-
that the people outside of friends, they're all given a
-
chance as well to respond to Jesus. Okay, and we
-
need to help them to respond. We need to proclaim,
-
we need to share, all right, and he doesn't give up?
-
Is there a point after that for that?
-
Oh?
-
Okay, yeah, yeah, let me see all right, So it
-
says here a broken covenant. Yeah, because the people of
-
God did not, as I said earlier, they did not
-
do their part, and so there's a broken covenant. But
-
you know, recently Pastor Kenneth shed through a video about
-
being a broken person, and a lot wants to use
-
a broken person. I tell you, a broken person is
-
better than a broken covenant. A broken person is better
-
than a broken covenant. What would you want to do?
-
What would you want to be? Do you want a
-
broken covenant or do you want to be a broken people?
-
If you're a broken people, you see all right, what
-
we read just now. They don't obey, They walked in
-
the stubbornness of their own evil hearts. They don't respond,
-
and so you know, because they think, you know, I've
-
got it all together. I don't need anything, and so
-
they continue to walk in their own ways. But you know,
-
a broken person, as Pascanna said, they know they don't
-
have it all.
-
They know they are weak, they know they are struggling,
-
and so they need to turn to Jesus.
-
Right, if we are not turning to God, if we
-
are not turning to Jesus, if we are not praying,
-
if our prayer is scarce, not regular, it definitely shows
-
that we we actually think we can do it on ourselves.
-
We actually are relying on our own wisdom and on
-
our own strength. I mean these day and age, it's
-
very easy to succumb to that because everything is in place,
-
Like I said, there's no torture. We're all good and okay,
-
the food is all plentiful, all genetically modified, and you
-
think it's all good, and so it doesn't rot. You
-
are plentiful, right, abundance, And so it's so tempting to
-
go to, yeah, we got all, we got it all together.
-
When I'm healthy, right, so why do I need to pray?
-
And that's the lie of the enemy. Right, we need
-
to see our brokenness. And you know, sometimes I just
-
got this thought. You know, whether it's last night or
-
this morning. He says, curse, curse. If you know, God's
-
curse is also merciful. His curse helps us to turn
-
to him. Amen, his curse the purpose, there's a purpose
-
in a cursor. It's not like I just want to
-
destroy you, you know, like it's like you know, anger
-
out of like spide and I want to damn it you.
-
You know, I want to harm you.
-
It's not harm. God's curse is not to harm you.
-
God's curse is to say, come on, lah, can you
-
please turn from that way?
-
Right right? Just like just now, just now, I help
-
your eyes. Hand up.
-
I think you felt like toture, Like why who's li
-
put my hand? I said, yo, teach you to praise God,
-
worship God. And I said, listen up, leave it up,
-
don't put it down. Painful ready, But you know that
-
there's a reason for it. I'm not torturing you. I'm
-
not just trying to like hurt him. I'm trying to
-
teach him something, all right. So the same thing we
-
got when it's a bit of pain that is inflicted
-
in our lives, right, it is not to harm us.
-
It is to help us. It is to challenge us. Amen,
-
and it's to help us grow. And so you know,
-
we know we should rather be broken people than have
-
a broken covenant. Amen, all right, let's move on. We're
-
gonna come to an end soon. Verse nine and ten,
-
again the Lord said to me, a conspiracy exists among
-
the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. They
-
have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who
-
refuse to hear my voice. They have gone after other
-
gods to serve them. The House of Israel and the
-
House of Judah have broken my covenant that I made
-
with their fathers. And that's the word there, conspiracy. So
-
one is are you in a covenant with Jesus, with
-
the Lord? Are you a partner or are you one
-
of those in the conspiracy? What's the conspiracy?
-
Right?
-
Conspiracy is not aliens and UFO and you know conspiracy theories,
-
but conspiracy comes from the work conspire.
-
Right, So these people are conspiring against God.
-
They don't want to believe, they don't want to follow Jesus,
-
they don't want to follow God, and so they say,
-
let's do something against God, let's do something against his people.
-
So are we I hope we're not are we part
-
of the We're either part of the covenant or we're
-
part of the conspiracy scheming against the Lord, and sometimes
-
we unknowingly. All right, so let's not be part of that.
-
Let's be part of the covenant instead. Okay, my notes here,
-
So what are these people doing? You know, I wrote here,
-
you know, conspiracy, a plan behind the scenes to get
-
people to go out through the back door. Now, thank
-
god nobody got out today, all right, Right, and say
-
I wrote here God's people. They are influenced by the Canaanites,
-
the Canaanites at that time, because they are all hanging
-
out together. They're all living among the Canaanites, right, the Canaanites.
-
There were people worshiping their gods, their other gods. Not
-
only just worshiping, but their worship has their worship involves
-
sinful activities. So give you an example. Some of them
-
they practice, you know, child sacrifice. They will put the
-
baby on the gods, burning them. All right, I believe
-
I've I've read a detail before. There's this god either
-
called Molac or something, and I got horns and he's
-
like that. He I don't know why he's His position
-
is something like that and then they heat up the
-
hand with fire, they heat up the hair with fire,
-
and then they'll place the infant on crying slow burned.
-
It's not immediate, No, it's like crying hear the Christ.
-
That's worship unto you know what I mean, and to
-
whoever molac. And so the Israelites, the people of God
-
observed that and they got normalized, like oh normal, it
-
is getting normal, just like a lot of things we
-
watch and see. Now they're trying to normalize you with
-
what they are okay with. And so we or so
-
hopefully don't join them. But the people of God have
-
been joining them because they like, oh.
-
That's the way, is it?
-
And then and then you know how it works, because
-
they marry the Canaanites. The God people got start marrying
-
the Canaies. You know, maybe they look pretty whatever they dress.
-
And so because you know, when you that's why, you know,
-
don't be unequally yoke.
-
That's what the Bible says, right, because that's what happens. Right.
-
The guy will go like all my wife say, have
-
to go to that temple killer joined for.
-
Oh wow, like movie watching this burden all going on,
-
and not only that okay, because got kids around, I
-
wanna tell you, but I have to tell you this.
-
The other one is is the goddess or God of fertility,
-
and and part of the worship is they have they
-
have Priestessus there and they're also known as the temple prostitutes.
-
And the worship activity there is is that, okay, And uh,
-
that's what they do. And you know the people who
-
got joined again and watch it's in the sexy and
-
they got oh, and they join, they join, and this
-
is what it means, you know, when they turn against God.
-
So there's a conspiracy by the those who don't believe
-
and those who worship those other gods. And they say come, come,
-
come back, no back, no out of the out of
-
God's thing. And then at first it's just step out
-
on it. Next moment, join the other side, next moment,
-
start burning, start joining activity. And that's it all the
-
way already. And so that's why that's why it hurts
-
God so much. If it's just if it's just standing there,
-
I don't know whether it's so hurtful, but it's actually
-
joining and being part of them, being like those people already.
-
So that's a hard check, right for all of us.
-
How much are we so normalized with what is going on?
-
All right?
-
And I think I'll draw it to a close already here.
-
Maybe musicians can come, yeah, and then we'll get to prayer.
-
So the question here is are we part of the
-
covenant or are we influenced and tricked into the conspiracy
-
against the Lord. I want to end by saying, you know,
-
Jesus gives us the new Covenant. Amen, Harlee lujah. In
-
the New Covenant, he makes it even better for us
-
that you know, he does another a deal that makes
-
it easier for us to come to God, all.
-
Right, And yeah, we can come as broken people.
-
But you know what I want to say, Jesus got
-
broken on the cross, was broken on the cross, so
-
that there's a new covenant for us, Amen, hallelujah.
-
And that's why there's hope today. And we are part
-
of a new covenant. All right.
-
Tell your nighbor that you are part of the new Covenant.
-
You can hold on to Jesus. Amen, hold on to Jesus,
-
and we're part of the new Covenant.
-
Amen.
