  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Thanks. Uh.

  4. That's about Christ to really have that standing and that

  5. grounding in the lot. You know, sometime back I talk

  6. about you know, there are this based on observation, and

  7. different ones have also pointed out, not different ones, not

  8. extra people, but just general church wise studies and what

  9. you know, there always two groups of believers.

  10. Right, one is the regulus.

  11. Uh. And I'm bringing this out not out of a

  12. place of judgment. It's just studies that have been done

  13. and I'm pointing it out, okay, And they're the one

  14. who is really committed into their relationship and what we've got,

  15. which is called the disciples choosing to follow Christ. And

  16. and so I I you know, and many people just

  17. either could go about life. I mean, we can still

  18. go about daily lives.

  19. Uh.

  20. And and you know, I this morning and I was reminded,

  21. you know, buster Stephen, come, here's the church plank coordinator

  22. for ex money, And I remember there was once a

  23. student and now he's a working adult. Uh and and

  24. married as well. And and I am I actually said,

  25. you know, and reach all different leaders here as well

  26. that there are a lot of the decisions that they

  27. made and knowing Buster Stephen, uh he decides a lot

  28. of things based on being a disciple first. Uh And

  29. and what is being a disciple? It shows in what

  30. we prioritize our decisions in. So for example, uh, I'm

  31. using it as an illustration and some of you know

  32. I'm using it as an illustration as well. Hi, Buster Stephen,

  33. I'm using you he's.

  34. Listening to this.

  35. Uh So even he's married, very in love with his wife,

  36. but his first priority will still be a child of God.

  37. Uh And and praising God first, loving God first, then

  38. his wife. Uh And because I could confidently say that

  39. because he has shown it based on the decisions that

  40. he made. And and when even he was a student,

  41. he wasn't you know, if you're ask him, he won't

  42. say that I'm a student first, but I'm a child

  43. of God first.

  44. So that helped him to continue on in this race

  45. and to decide.

  46. But there be a lot of decisions that you can

  47. go ask him personally. And he has seen how God

  48. has blessed him over and wor again, both in his

  49. career and it's also his personal life as well. So

  50. I before, I I just I have six points, but

  51. I may break this into maybe two or three parts.

  52. I don't think I can cover everything today, but I

  53. just want to share about you know, discipleship, you know,

  54. and and I want to show some photos now. And

  55. it started a photo with the yeah, the Colarly Piece

  56. on first. So last week we Angelina and myself, we

  57. it wasn't like planned like many many months a hit,

  58. but there was an urgenty that came from the ground

  59. in one of the small groups of the IPG movement.

  60. So this is a small group that is in IPG

  61. Colarly Biased if you don't know, Colarly Piece is in Pahang, uh.

  62. So so that time, I mean, the urgenty came out

  63. to us because every single one that is part of

  64. the small girl isn't doing well. And you know, Angela

  65. being the field coordinator, we have to field coordinators. As

  66. of now, we are ping that this still got to

  67. raise out two more, but two Krista and herself. For her,

  68. she has a view on what's going on and different

  69. ones out there are very very discouraged, uh in the

  70. world we've got and then they are facing a lot,

  71. a lot of pressure so to the extent, you know,

  72. there is stop meeting as a small girl. They want

  73. to give up on things and stuff like that. And

  74. when we heard it, it didn't sit right with us

  75. because you know, there's so much more that can actually

  76. be done, uh, and you know you don't have to

  77. come to a place of giving up, and you know,

  78. if there's extra support needed, we can because there is

  79. a potential right right in every small group. There's a

  80. potential for growth, but there's also potential for revival. And

  81. the enemy always would like to close things down. When

  82. there's a spark of fire, he will close it down

  83. as well.

  84. So this was the case.

  85. And then the week itself, we left on a Friday,

  86. almost close to after walk time. The drive that was

  87. about we took a break in between O Sola because

  88. we're the tuning for our discipleship with me up. So

  89. we arrived at about eleven something at night, right eleventh

  90. the DPM. So it was a long journey.

  91. It was very tiring.

  92. Got for that week, or so actially for quite a

  93. few weeks, cause sometime now I have been tired because

  94. not enough rest and why not enough rest?

  95. Because I get it's like my sleep in between gets disturbed.

  96. Uh. And and different things are happening in the house,

  97. not the spooky one, but it's done. Natural things are

  98. things are happening, and and uh, we got my sister's room.

  99. It's just next to mine.

  100. So whenever she's awake and whenever she's loud, I can

  101. hear everything. So she she wakes up random hours. So

  102. that's another story for another day.

  103. But I get this stub.

  104. So I'm like, you have to drive all the way.

  105. I'm like, it's okay, God, you know this is going

  106. to be worth it. So we were there Saturday eleven thirty.

  107. The next morning, we met up with this group of people.

  108. We just had a time of worship and then angually

  109. the devotion and then she ministered, uh you know, and

  110. and God's presence was just really really evident doing that

  111. small group that we have had with them and amember

  112. during the ministry time, you know, just different. One was

  113. deeply moved.

  114. They're crying.

  115. And then after that, you know, when we talked to

  116. you know, you can see right here this is the

  117. picture after the countenance actually totally changed.

  118. Already before that they were just all down, uh and depressed. Uh.

  119. And and so yeah, so this this was the trip there.

  120. And after that, you know they have made a decision. Okay,

  121. we'll not give up. We'll try to come from the

  122. IPG Small Grow Facilitata overnight such a long name.

  123. That's happening this coming in and uh three days, two nights.

  124. Uh. And it's for especially for the IPG movement. Okay,

  125. small movement. And then Steph is going to be there.

  126. So one of the panelies for one of the sessions. Yay.

  127. And you know we got recently we have we had

  128. the educators meet up and one of the things we

  129. actually asked if you know the current teachers who like

  130. to mentor future generations.

  131. So Steph said, yeah, yeah, coming in.

  132. So we gotta get her over the be on a

  133. panel so that yall can go deeper with them. Your

  134. means are talking those those so and and so. God

  135. just transformed the situation around.

  136. So praise a lot.

  137. Uh.

  138. And then I think this week.

  139. Then after that, you know they're like, okay, I want

  140. to come for that. And we know that whenever someone

  141. says yes to the Lord, that itself is a potential

  142. in there like every seat right, even though it was

  143. it has not touched the ground yet a potential is

  144. that and then once it touches ground, the ground, and

  145. he has the right everything our humidity, pH water, sun,

  146. and then it germinates right and then it grows uh

  147. so so and the devil recognizes that as all that

  148. there is a potential in every seat and and he

  149. will try ways to stop us. Also, we have hit

  150. had challenges even just leading up to this coming with

  151. and but the team you know, decided to pray. You

  152. can show the next picture online prayer every day. One

  153. is the preparation of hearts, but the next is to

  154. really cover because uh, we have gotten different news. Okay,

  155. suddenly like Saturday we got uh laja uh you know

  156. field trips, gotten around young accident. Then just now, Crystal

  157. just this morning said that God, Crystal is gonna fly

  158. in from Lawas. She said, Lawas Airport has been closed

  159. because of bad flood uh and has been closed for

  160. some time already. Right, so I pray very hard that

  161. the apple will be open so she can fly over

  162. so so different hindrances, but we believe that you know,

  163. this overnight it's going to be a very significant time

  164. of raising disciples, not just to ex church, I mean

  165. in resciples in ex church, but the disciples uh former Laysia.

  166. Because you know, we know that teachers have an amazing,

  167. amazing influence, they have amazing potential in them as well.

  168. So every revived is a disciple, and a disciple would

  169. have further potentials to to continue to help Malaysia experience

  170. the love of Christ. Okay, so and and and so

  171. the next one all uh got more photos. So different

  172. meetouts has happened in all Machen and Dennis or there.

  173. This is the Cheriss team and then the next one

  174. will be the I B G k L team. And well,

  175. and you know it wasn't easy for both for Tree,

  176. not both ANGELI Machen and Dennis uh to make it uh.

  177. And and the last meet was yesterday. They drove all

  178. the way from me like to KL just to meet

  179. the team and then drive back at night. Sl if

  180. anyone would see this home uh and this house is temporary, Uh,

  181. they wouldn't have done that. But I do know that

  182. the three of them, the Tree ask some cheese to

  183. just and just kidding, Oh listen, Okay, they went all

  184. the way because their first disciples, and they know that

  185. true their soling and through loving this other IBG campuses. Uh,

  186. that's gonna be, you know, just amazing things that's gonna

  187. happen in the days to come. All right, So why

  188. are we doing this? Because bas Cana right now, you know,

  189. he says it's let's says in regards and and he's

  190. still resting. Keep him in prayer for complete, complete healing

  191. and recovery. But Baskena has been running the theology or leadership.

  192. He has been asked to speak at a different platforms

  193. as well regarding it, and he did share it all

  194. for anything to last? Uh, it's you know, at least

  195. you know, have at least four generations and and you

  196. know today you know, I'm going to share because I've

  197. shared in many manypacity, But today's sharing is going to

  198. focus on the continuity of the continuation of discipleship and

  199. how do we last a long haul as a church?

  200. How can we last a long haul as individual disciples

  201. as well? Okay, so I'm gonna cover perhaps two points

  202. or three, let's see. So the first point on how

  203. we can actually last is from Mark chapter twelve. Let'sten

  204. to Mark chapter twelve, verse twenty eight to the t.

  205. If you're there, say yay, how may I o yeah,

  206. all right, yay, all right, I'll be reading from the

  207. amplified version. So and the first one I'm gonna start

  208. with is gonna is laying the foundation, okay, of what

  209. a disciple is. Then the scribes, Okay, who are the scribes?

  210. They are like modern day lawyers. Okay, they're experts in

  211. the Mosaic law. They So the scribes came up to them,

  212. and they started arguing with each other, those for those

  213. who are arguing, And then they noticed that Jesus answered

  214. the arguing people very well. So then they decided right

  215. to ask Jesus which commandment is first and foremost important

  216. of all?

  217. And verse twenty nine.

  218. Jesus answered them, the first and most important one is

  219. here o Israel, the Lord, our God is one lord.

  220. And you shall love the Lord your God with all

  221. your heart and with all your life, and with all

  222. your mind, and with all your strength.

  223. Okay.

  224. So for us as a church and a disciple individual

  225. as well to be able to last a long haul,

  226. I think, and another modern day where people like to

  227. use this sustainability okay, but like I'll put it in

  228. se continuation because my series has been in c CCS. Okay, uh,

  229. ceries okay, nice and faster runsom So you know, this

  230. very important thing for us to continue to go keep

  231. going is love, all right, loving the Lord our God

  232. with what, with all our hearts, with all our life,

  233. with all our mind, our and our strengths, what is mine,

  234. our understanding, whatever that is logic to us our thinking processes.

  235. To love God with that as well, because our mind

  236. is the greatest CBO of all time, right, central processing unit.

  237. CPO in all your computer CPO. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.

  238. Y'all know that now like top eighth yead don't use

  239. CPUO anymore personally, know we know, we know the same era,

  240. same era CPUs. So our mind is the greatest CPO,

  241. and a lot of times our mind is the one

  242. that always would have tried to think think loge logically

  243. that will sometimes contridict with what God is saying as well,

  244. right of our own understanding of things, but not through

  245. the perspective of what God is.

  246. Seeing it as all right.

  247. So love is the foundation of being a disciple. And

  248. without loving the Lord our God, first, we have nothing, okay.

  249. And because we love God, right, it will continue to

  250. motivate us, it will continue to propel us to follow him,

  251. all right. And then it does not just stop there,

  252. you know, It moves on to verse thirty one. It says,

  253. this is the second you shall amplified version says you

  254. shall unselfishly love your neighbor as a self. There is

  255. no other commandment greater than this, all right. So it

  256. will propel us to continue to follow Christ. But it

  257. will propel us to serve each other as well, and

  258. it will enable us, right or when we love God

  259. with our heart, it will enable us to love others

  260. as ourself and not you know, desire and sick, you know,

  261. things just for us. But when we will desire and

  262. sick things for the betterment and for the good of

  263. the person that's next to us.

  264. All right.

  265. So the Greek word here, okay, those of us who

  266. already know, is agapeo agape. Love is agape. And it's

  267. actually not so much of a matter of emotion only,

  268. but it is the place of action, all right, benefiting

  269. doing things that will benefit other people, not out of

  270. selfish desires. But it's the willingness to continue to seek

  271. the best of another person.

  272. That's what.

  273. Will continue to keep us going. It all different ones

  274. of us we have a different I not use the

  275. word expiry date, but it's not expired dated. What you

  276. call it life spend.

  277. And you know the days.

  278. Our days are numbered and only the Lord knows, okay,

  279. But even as our days are numbered, we have every

  280. day to make it count and every day that counts,

  281. every day that lovest the lot first and loving his creation.

  282. And it's not easy. It's easier said than done, all right.

  283. Which I'm gonna come to that later, but you keep

  284. that thought for now, and I'm gonna expand it a

  285. little bit further, all right. So that's the first to

  286. cont for the church to continue to make disciples, for

  287. us as a disciple, to continue in our journey of

  288. following Christ, and to continue to help others as well

  289. to make more disciples. So each and everyone of you

  290. here actually see a potential in you that you will

  291. one day be able to disciple another person. You know,

  292. no matter who you are, where you're at, you have

  293. the potential to disciple another person. So you can turn around.

  294. It's like, hey, you know you have the potential to

  295. make a disciple. Okay, So love, loving the lot and

  296. loving others. The second one is being stepped fast okay,

  297. being committed, being dedicated and persistent. You know, the IPG

  298. movement came about because that's the Crystal and that's the

  299. angel the angey Okay, that didn't give up. Uh. History

  300. not really history not too long ago when there were

  301. two of the IPG campuses that said that we want

  302. to do small group right or it was sleepys and.

  303. Was it one one?

  304. Okay, we've got a sleepeas and they say on those

  305. small group and then you know, our small group team

  306. in the office had a meet out with them discussion.

  307. Then after that they wereized, Ah, this is too difficult

  308. or too much comming. I don't want to we don't

  309. want to do and then uh, when Crystal heard it,

  310. I heard it, Angually heard it like, no, you know

  311. it's still too premature and too early to give up

  312. H and to say that, you know, this is not

  313. for us, so we persisted. UH. And it takes a

  314. lot commit money. Can ask Angeline and ask Crystal uh

  315. because being few coordinators, they are in communication with the

  316. team often. On top of that, they have their own

  317. jobs to do, so many other classes to teach, UH,

  318. and their own life to do. I don't know what

  319. else yet you can ask Angelici has a long list

  320. of things, but you know she is committed. Both her

  321. and Crystal, they're committed to see.

  322. Uh.

  323. Actually all the ibgs in experiencing the love of Christ.

  324. And it takes a disciple and a follow up Christ

  325. to be able to commit to continue to be step

  326. fast in the work that God has caught us. Uh,

  327. to be step fast not just the word right, to

  328. be stepfast in our faith. Uh. You know many times

  329. a lot of people just fall away and they go

  330. call back slafe because that's not that fastness. Uh. You

  331. know the other word these days that people are used greet, right,

  332. you know, the stubbornness in a good way to continue

  333. to hang on, to continue to persevere and and to

  334. live out the ways of God. You know, the Bible says, right,

  335. why it's the road that leads to destruction, but narrow

  336. is the way. It's the road that leads to life.

  337. And when it's a narrow road, meaning it's going to

  338. be difficult. Ah. And and it's what you know, I'm

  339. gonna paraphrase this first.

  340. It says easy it's the.

  341. Road, right, that is why highway is very easy right

  342. to travel, but try traveling from Kuching to Lawas by road. Okay, now,

  343. thank God for the pan Borneo Highway. But you know,

  344. if you're to travel all the way to Laha to

  345. let's say, from it's tough. It's difficult. Narrow is the road,

  346. But narrow is the road that leads to life. And

  347. when we continue to hang on to God's ways, to

  348. live it up and to endure all difficult times in

  349. our road here, enduring difficult times, we will come up

  350. more victorious. You will come out overcoming the challenges and situations.

  351. So being stepped fast. And guys, do not give up.

  352. You know, when things are difficult, when you have ten

  353. thousand assignments on your table that you have to come

  354. summit tomorrow, that's how you'll hear the word assignment trauma.

  355. Okay, do not give up. And and and when your bills.

  356. Are coming knocking at your door that you have to settle,

  357. do not give up. Persist on a true disapple of Christ.

  358. Don't not give up easily our faith. We persist on.

  359. Okay, all right, Uh, oh time, all right. Number three.

  360. The third one is obedience and accountability. Ah all right,

  361. So this is not a common word these days. Uh,

  362. you know, with this h of all the freedoms and

  363. the rights that we have as a human being. But

  364. let's go back to the origins of human being, right,

  365. the word of God. And let's see what the word

  366. of God says uh. In Titus chapter three, verse one,

  367. Titus Titus Titus chapter three, verse one. I am reading

  368. from the ESV version. It says, yeah, remind them.

  369. M hm.

  370. That's why I'm reminding you guys today. Remind to be

  371. submissive to ruleers and authorities, to be obedient, and then

  372. to be ready for every good word. Okay, I'm going

  373. to break up this point two obedience, accountability to men

  374. and then to God. All right, So Titus tree one

  375. is to men, all right. Have a few more verses

  376. as well. Romans chapter three, verse one to two. Romans

  377. Chapter three, verse one to two, ESV version. Also, well,

  378. God says here in verse one, let every person be

  379. subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority

  380. except from God, and those that exist have been instituted

  381. by God.

  382. That's all.

  383. Whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed. And

  384. those raises were in judgment. Romans chapter thirteen, verse one

  385. to two susan.

  386. Loma loma.

  387. So yes, it's strange not having a translator here today.

  388. It got so used to having realized bilingo. Right, So yes,

  389. dose of you. You know, if God's stirring you up,

  390. the translating man gene translation can let us know, okay.

  391. Romans chapter thirteen, verse one to two, all right, and

  392. then the next one Ephicients chapter six, verse five to eight.

  393. You can write it down, but I will read it

  394. to us also from the.

  395. ESV version.

  396. Bond servants obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling,

  397. with a sincere heart, as you would Christ by the

  398. way of eye service as people please us, but as

  399. bond servants of Christ, doing the will of God from

  400. the heart, rendering service with a good will as to

  401. the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good

  402. anyone does this, he will receive back from the Lord,

  403. whether he is a bond servant or is free.

  404. Okay, all right? So now also that is.

  405. Obedience and submission to men, and but not just to men,

  406. to any man, but it's to the authority that God

  407. has instituted, that God has placed over us.

  408. All right.

  409. And then to let's see what God says about submitting

  410. to God.

  411. All right.

  412. John chapter fourteen, verse fifteen, ESV version says, if you

  413. love me, you will keep my commandments. John chapter fourteen,

  414. verse fifteen, John fourteen fifteen. And then John chapter fourteen,

  415. verse twenty one. He says that whoever has my commandments

  416. and keep them, he it is who loves me. And

  417. he who loves me will be loved by my father,

  418. and I will love him and manifest myself to him.

  419. And then Looke chapter eleven, verse twenty eight, Look eleven

  420. twenty eight. But he says ya, But he said, blessed

  421. rather are those who hear the word of God and

  422. keep it? All right, You guys are good, okay. And

  423. then the next verse X chapter five, verse twenty nine.

  424. What does it say here.

  425. ESV version.

  426. But Peter and the apostles answered, we must obey God

  427. rather than men, all right, And the context of this

  428. verse right, if you read the verses earlier, so basically

  429. they have been challenged in their faith. So okay, let's

  430. read from verse twenty two. All right, then you'll understand

  431. where this verse is coming from verse twenty two of

  432. X five. But when the officers came and did not

  433. find them.

  434. In the prison. They written and reported.

  435. Verse only three, saying, indeed, we found the prison shut securely,

  436. and the guards standing outside before the doors. But when

  437. we opened them, we found no one inside verse twenty four. Now,

  438. when the high priests, the Captain of the temple, and

  439. the chief priests heard these things, they wondered what the

  440. outcome would be verse twenty five. So one came and

  441. told them, saying, look, the men whom you put in

  442. prison are standing in a temple at teaching the people.

  443. What happened was twenty four. Then the captain went with

  444. the officers and brought them without violence, for they feared

  445. the people lest they should be stone verse twenty seven.

  446. And when they brought them, they set them before the council,

  447. and the high priests asked them verse only eight, saying,

  448. did we not strictly command you not to teach in

  449. the name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your

  450. doctrine and intend to bring this man's blood on us.

  451. And then Peter replied, that's where the reply came, right.

  452. But Peter and the other apostles answered and said, we

  453. ought to obey God than men, all right. So this

  454. is the context of the verse. You know, when the

  455. world challenges us and persecutes us and tell us, right,

  456. did we not command you not to teach in the

  457. name of Jesus? Did we not command you and give

  458. you rules that you cannot actually preach the word of God?

  459. You know? I hope you know we are able to

  460. reply that I'm doing this because I'm obeying the Lord,

  461. and this is what the Lord is commanding us to do.

  462. So obedience, okay, obedience itself, it's a very key important

  463. condition of being a disciple. Obedience to the Lord first

  464. and to his word first. And what does obedience you know, do?

  465. All? Right?

  466. You know?

  467. Sein, you know right?

  468. We live in a sinful nature, sinful environment. The world

  469. is sinful.

  470. Uh.

  471. And and every human you know, we have uh, we

  472. call it. Yeah, I have to break it down simpler ways.

  473. We have sinful nature. And that's and and like every

  474. every baby as well, when they're born, every child, right,

  475. they're not taught to tell lies, but somehow they're not

  476. to tell lies. They are not taught to be violent,

  477. but somehow they are violent.

  478. Uh.

  479. They're not taught to steal, but somehow they steal, and

  480. they don't know that it's wrong.

  481. But that's that.

  482. Nature in them already, and and and so scene will

  483. continue to steer us right, will continue, the directors will

  484. continue to distract us towards the path of disobedience. But

  485. when we are disciples of Christ, when we are rooted

  486. and grounded in the lot, we are able, we are

  487. able to identify, like, hey, you know it is bringing

  488. this is actually bringing me further and further away from

  489. a lot. This is causing me to disobey the word

  490. of God. I need to stop it. So obedience, you know,

  491. takes us, you know, coming to a place like to

  492. say that I want to reject whatever this world has

  493. offered me. You want to reject what's seen, you know,

  494. the pleasures of sin. Sin is very pleasurable, right because

  495. it fits into our kernal nature, if it's to our flash,

  496. if it's to our human needs and our human one

  497. human ones. But obedience will continue to stare us and

  498. propel us to continue to pursue God's will for our life. Yeah,

  499. so obedience to the Lord is it goes to hating sin,

  500. all right, So that is obedience part. Let's look at

  501. about accountability, all right, Ezra Chapter eight All Testomer Exra

  502. Chapter eight, verse twenty eight to verse thirty four. You

  503. can actually write that down, but I will not read

  504. all the verses. Okay, So what happened was the twelve men, right,

  505. Ezra selected this twelve men to carry gold, silver, and

  506. bronze items okay, into Jerusalem. And before they start transporting them,

  507. it was accounted for their weight, and then they account

  508. for it and then delivery happens. So and instructions were

  509. given right in twenty eight to twenty nine the verse

  510. it says that you know you as well as these

  511. are items okay, the goal civil and bronze that they

  512. are transporting have been conscert created. Uh. They were asked

  513. to guide them carefully until they weigh them out. So

  514. upon the arrival at the destination, they were supposed to

  515. weigh again to make sure they did not drop something

  516. along the way. So they are supposed to carefully weigh

  517. and then their duty is done. So what accountability is, right,

  518. is a responsibility for us.

  519. Believe us.

  520. For fulfilling our duties and our obligation as a disciple.

  521. Okay.

  522. So the twelfth priests right in Ezra chapter eight, you

  523. know they were required to carry out their priestly duties

  524. and the priestly duties was still transport all this precious

  525. metal right to Jerusalem. And then you know they fasted

  526. and they seek God for protection during the journey as well.

  527. And why they do that because they want to continue

  528. to keep guard, all right. So that's what accountability is

  529. for us, That it starts with taking personal responsibility of

  530. our own actions, our own faith, and making conscious choices

  531. of allowing God and allowing the people that God plays

  532. in our life which is around us right to help

  533. us accomplish the calling and the role and the duty

  534. that God has placed in our hands.

  535. Right.

  536. And so for example, the IPG I talk about the

  537. smuggle again, they wanted to stop, right, But then initially

  538. they wouldn't want to say that, hey, we want to

  539. start doing something. So why do we have a follow

  540. up and make sure we have a follow through together

  541. with them every time? Because this is what they have

  542. committed to do. And sometimes because of different things, we

  543. can get distracted along the way, discouragements, right and give up.

  544. God has placed is people around in our lives to

  545. make it obvious to us, like, hey, you know you

  546. have committed to this already. So people in our lives

  547. to help us keep accountable what we have committed to.

  548. So that is, you know, driving from an example of

  549. the IBG group as well. So sometimes we can say,

  550. you know, I'm only accountable to God, not the people

  551. around us. But it's the people around us that can

  552. notice the most obvious things. The people around us can

  553. be our true mirror. No word, God is our mirror,

  554. but it's the sometimes the first thing God. Sometimes, you know,

  555. if our frequency is not right right, it might not

  556. even be in tune with God's voice and his leading.

  557. But God uses people around us to continue to keep

  558. us in check. All right, So continue, okay, to allow

  559. us you unpacked and get rooted in this church to

  560. continue to actually like growing, we have to continue to

  561. be obedient to the Lord, be accountable to him and

  562. to the paper that places around us as well. Oh right,

  563. I'm going to close with this last point, but this

  564. last one I won't be finish the whole point as well,

  565. but let me try.

  566. Okay.

  567. So, being a disciple of Christ and to continue to

  568. be able to be that and see church continue to

  569. be that as well, is we have to deny ourself.

  570. What does it mean?

  571. Okay, let's look and met chapter sixteen, verse twenty four

  572. to twenty six. I'm reading from the New Living Translation version.

  573. It saysya.

  574. Then, Jesus said to his disciples, if anyone desires to

  575. come after me, let him what deny himself, take up

  576. his cross and follow me. For whoever desires to save

  577. his life will lose it, But whoever loses his life

  578. for my sake will find it. For what profit is

  579. it to a man if he gains the whole world

  580. but loses his own soul? And what will a man

  581. give in exchange for his soul? So what has God

  582. been challenging you to give up and to take up

  583. the cross and follow him?

  584. You know?

  585. Or another version say to deny yourself and follow him?

  586. What has God been challenging us to do? And a

  587. lot of times God will challenge us the areas that

  588. he'll touch, areas that we see it.

  589. It is my right to have it.

  590. It's my right to feel this way, it's my right

  591. to do this, it is my right to do that.

  592. But when we deny ourselves of our rights, you're saying, God,

  593. I'm taking this cost and following you. So let me

  594. just give a few examples, okay. Romans Chapter twelve, verse

  595. nineteen to twenty. Romans chapter twelve. So for this point

  596. I'll be reading all from the New Living Translation version.

  597. Romans chapter twelve, verse nineteen to twenty. Says your dear friends, Hello, God,

  598. never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God.

  599. For the scripture says I will take revenge. I will

  600. pay them back, says the Lord. Instead, feed your enemies

  601. who are hungry, if they are thirsty, give them something

  602. to drink. In doing this, who will keep burning coals

  603. of shame on their heads? So an example, all right,

  604. you know you have the right to take reveng You

  605. know this person has around you all the ways, has

  606. stolen your yours car burn down your condominium, cause you

  607. to lose your career, and a top.

  608. Institution in Malaysia. You have all the right to stand

  609. out and fight and take the revenge. But God says, what.

  610. Feed your enemies when they're hungry, if they're thirsty, give

  611. them something to drink. You know there's a time and

  612. place for rights. You know, justice to prevail. But perhaps

  613. you know God, sometimes it's also challenging us that to

  614. check ourselves. Are we doing it out of spike? Are

  615. we doing it out of a place on one thing,

  616. revenge only because you know what God says, right, leave

  617. the revenge to God. He will settle your bill. Right

  618. if God has allowed it to happen. God has allowed

  619. your views to be stolen and your condo. But now

  620. God was set a bill, and it's for us to

  621. continue to put our faith and our trust in him,

  622. all right, so we have the right, all the rights

  623. to revenge. You know the story about when in twenty

  624. ten we you know, but also note this down somewhere

  625. I can't remember. I think it's chin up.

  626. Our We were supposed to secure a building.

  627. Uh. It was called Lot ten Gourse. It's Union number ten.

  628. It's a factory building and a part of time, you know,

  629. you know Canneth had in mind so like, hey, you know,

  630. let's let's build a big church with you know, the

  631. it's a factory law that we can do many many

  632. different things.

  633. Uh.

  634. And we did, you know, fundraising for it, and people

  635. gave to the Lord h. It was a lot of money.

  636. And we raised enough money for the earnest deposit.

  637. Uh.

  638. And we were still you know, waiting for I think

  639. the bank loan of sudden money to come in for

  640. the major about so we're servicing, like you know, while

  641. you're waiting the waiting period to pay fines, we were

  642. servicing the finance well. So it came out to a

  643. couple of million in total. And in the end what

  644. happened was the owner of the building, without letting us know,

  645. actually saw the building to another buyer. Okay, while we

  646. have already paid all the different moneys already. So at

  647. that part in time, you know, definitely it was a

  648. very very sad time for us.

  649. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, yes.

  650. So so we we so we raised enough for everything

  651. and Barcelrondsa reminded and you know, we managed to have

  652. the full sum uh to be able to buy the building.

  653. That's where we found out that we actually lost it.

  654. So buy every rights and law you can actually sue

  655. the seller, right. And different ones came in like oh

  656. and gets lawyer and stuff like that. Uh. And when

  657. passa kind of seek God and ask God, God said,

  658. do not do anything.

  659. Wow.

  660. And and a part of the time, you know, I

  661. remember different ones. I know, you know they saw off

  662. their car. Uh they did not okay, so they saw off.

  663. Their car, they you know, gave to God.

  664. Uh. In the fundraising. They took up their children's education

  665. fund and put it in. So a lot of people

  666. sacrificed to put it in. And imagine you know how fast,

  667. you know, as as the father house would feel. But

  668. when you ask God, God said, do not do anything.

  669. Uh and and and you know vengeance is mine. You know,

  670. revenge is mine like what Isai and Romans taught, don't

  671. do anything. It was difficult, but because of that right

  672. we saw things turning around. We didn't see anyone living church,

  673. but church even grew further, We planted out even way,

  674. many more churches. The whole small church or small group

  675. movement even came about as well. We are church in

  676. many many different locations. If we would have that building,

  677. I think we will all still be at one place,

  678. maybe one to speakers, one to worship team. But now

  679. because you know of that incident God has if you

  680. talk about extreme team and worship team in ext church

  681. as well, collectively we have close to three hundred people

  682. as compact. If we were still in one location, we

  683. wouldn't have speakers as well. We have like thirty over

  684. speakers or twenty over speakers on Sunday and many more

  685. things that we could celebrate off. But it just took

  686. that one incident for God forgot to tell us don't

  687. do anything. And it took past the cannon's obedience and

  688. submission to say like, okay, God, whatever it is you

  689. have in control, so and and the amazing thing right.

  690. A lot of times we feel like, hey, you know,

  691. I'm giving money to church. But because the attention, the

  692. focus at the point of time and different ones of

  693. also into right was our giving was unto the lot

  694. and got reminded past the Kenneth your church did not

  695. give money to you for the fund raising. Your church

  696. did not give money to ex church for fund raising,

  697. but they gave the money to me. They gave the

  698. money to the lot, and the Lord settled the bill

  699. for us. Uh and in ways that we can't imagine.

  700. If you ask us whether we've got the millions we

  701. can get back now, but what we got back was

  702. way more and the ability to even disciple nations. Now

  703. we are in five different continents, I think it's five

  704. or four, five different continents with at least fifty five

  705. worship services planted or globally, so we can only be

  706. that place. And thank God, you know, pasta Cannas has

  707. always been obedient to the Lord, and whenever he teaches

  708. us to give, it was giving unto him. So God

  709. settled the bill for us, all right. And I'm going

  710. to close now, and she this point has a lot,

  711. a lot of examples I want to draw up, but

  712. it's okay.

  713. I'll keep it for the next round.

  714. Denying ourselves taking out the cross and follow him, denying

  715. our rights of what we can have or what we

  716. should have, but allowing God to have us, allowing God

  717. to have our lives. And it can only come from

  718. a place when we are able to be submissive to

  719. the Lord, being accountable to him. It can only come

  720. to a place that we love Him with all that

  721. we have and all that we have got. And this

  722. will continue to spur us on to be stepfast, to

  723. be persistent, and to be committed.

  724. And this is what our faith.

  725. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  726. information on our church, please visit as Church Org. We

  727. are also active on Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that

  728. this week is going to be a good week.

  729. I hit for you, God bless
