John chapter eight, verse thirty one. And if you're there,

say yeah, okay, almost there, Lena say he's almost there. Okay,

all right, here we go verse thirty one. Then Jesus

said to the Jews who believed him, if you are

abiding my word, you are my disciples.

Indeed.

Somebody say, disciples indeed. Yes, if you're biding my word,

you are my disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth,

and the truth shall make you free. Somebody say, amen.

They answered him, we are Abraham's descendants and have never

been in bondage to anyone. How can you say you

will being made free? Jesus answered them most as shortly

as say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave

of sin. And a slave does not abide in the

house forever. But the Sun abides forever. Therefore, if the

Sun makes you free, you shall be free.

Indeed. Amen.

The Lord bless the reading of his word. And so

this passage starts off by saying that if you abide

in my word, you are my disciples indeed. And it's

really a powerful passage of skipture, you know, just a

very short passage, but really very powerful. And I'm going

to share my message today just on this passage alone.

Is that okay? All right?

So let me begin by saying to us what this

word abide means?

Okay.

First of all, the title of my message is freedom

in Christ. Okay, Freedom in Christ okay. And so what

does this word abide mean?

Okay?

If you're going to look at the original word of

it in Greek, I think it's it's called meno. Okay,

abide is menor. And what does it mean. It means

to continue or to dwell. Okay, So let me let

me try to put those words in. So if you

continue in my word, that's what it means, the word abira.

If you continue in my word, it's not one time,

but you continue to read his word, to know his word,

you continue to dwell in his word, then you just

stop there. He continue to endure in his word, continue

to be present.

May the Word of God be present in our life.

And if you continue to remain in the world, that's

what the word bide means. If you're going to study

the original Greek word, which is menor. And so we

see that Jesus says, if you abide in my word,

you are my desired Indeed, this you know, when Jesus says,

if you buy it in my word, that sentence itself

is so powerful because it's not just any other words,

but it's the words of Jesus. Okay, is the words

of Jesus. And why is it also so powerful is

because Jesus is the word of God made flesh, or

the Word made flesh.

Okay.

If you read the book of John, you will find

that very true, especially in the first chapter of John.

Okay, So let me show you to you and explain to.

You why it's so powerful that Jesus said, if you

abide in my word, not just any other word, but

my word. So John one says, in the beginning, what's

the word? And the word was We've gone? And the

word was gone. He was in the beginning with God.

And this he is, capitol h. All things were made

through him, capitol h. And through him nothing was made.

That was made. In him was life, and the life

was the light of men. And the light shines in

the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehended. And let

me show you another verse in the same chapter, verse fourteen.

And the word became flesh. Notice the word is capital W.

And the word became flesh, and dwell among us, and

we beheld his glory, the glory as the only begotten

of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Amen.

So Jesus is the word made flesh. That is what

he is talking about in John chapter one. And Jesus

when he walked on earth, some of words would know

what already know is that Jesus had two names.

He was both God and both men.

And if you read the Book of Luke, you will

find that Luke actually presents the humanity of Jesus as

the son of man. Okay, if you read the book

of Luke, you will find that it's a very curring team.

Right.

But the Book of John presents Jesus in the in

his deity as the son of God. So both of

his natures are valid. Just like a coin has two

sides of a coin, both are valid. There's a head,

there's a tale, right, both sides of the coin are valid. Likewise,

Jesus also has both of his nature's valid. You read

the book of Luke, you see his humanity. You read

the Book of John, you see his deity as the

son of God. And so Jesus is the Word made flesh.

And so he says, if you're abide in his word,

you will be his disciples.

How many of us want to be his disciples? Amen?

And so the way to be disciples is to abide

in his word. Now, let me take a step backward

for a little while and read the first part of

it in verse thirty one, and says, then Jesus said

to those Jews who believed him. Well, so specifica, Jesus

said to the Jews who believed him. That means in

that group there are two people who are unbelieving. That's

the first thing we know. The second thing, if you

read the entire chapter of this chapter, you will know

that the Jews also actually referred to the Pharisees. That's

the group of the Pharisees that were talking to him

or questioning him right about his you know, about who

Jesus is. You know, they are questioning who he really was,

where he came from. And so we know that these

Jews also include a particular group called the Pharisees. But

the interesting thing is that they believed him right. They

believed him but as you read on, we find that

they are still questioning him, right, as though they don't

actually believe him.

Okay, it's as.

Though they say that they believe his words, but yet

they're not willing to abide in his words. Listen, there's

a difference between knowing and actually doing it, huge difference.

It's one thing to know, it's another thing to leave

it out. And the real power comes not just in

the knowing, but in the doing. And sorry, I heard

this statement before that some people say knowledge is beneficial,

but how many of you know that applied knowledge is

where the power is. That's where the trans more transformative

power of the knowledge that we have becomes reality. And

so it's very interesting that Jesus specifically say to those

who believed in him to abide in him, because it

didn't just stop in just knowing just believing, right, But

it's a continuous process. That's why I started by saying

to you that the word abide actually means to continue

to continue in his word daily as our daily brain. Amen,

we don't just want to be hearers, but you want

to be doers of the world. And that is why

you find it a word of God is very specific

in order for us to be saved. The Bible says,

we ought to confess our sins and believe in your heart.

What do you see? One is the believing, the knowing,

and number two is the confession the action that comes

with it.

Amen. So I think there's a slight for them if

I'm not wrong. Yeah.

So the Bible tells us that we have to confess,

see your mouth and believe in your heart, then you

shall be safe. So we don't just want to be

hear us, but we want to be doers of the word.

Amen. And so moving on, the verse says worse that.

It two says, and you shall know the truth, and

the truth shall make you free. Now, in this verse

there's a very specific sequence given. It says, if you

abide in my word right, if you're biding my word,

you will be my disciples. Secondly, it says, and you

will know the truth. And it continues to say, and

the truth will make you free. So what do we

need to do? Number one, we need first need to

know the word. In order to abide in the word,

We first need to know the word right. And what

does it mean to know the word? Is to know

the word of God is to know Him Jesus, the

Word made flesh. And when we know the Word of God,

then we can abide in it. Because if you don't

know the word, then you can't abide in it, you

can't continue to practice it.

And that's why when.

We come to church, we continue to hear the Word

of God. And when you go to a small glob

a Bible study at homes, we continue.

To study the Word of God.

And I pray that you will continue to study on

your own as well, to go deeper in the word

of the Lord. And as you know the word, the

next time is to abide in the word. And when

you abide in the world, you will know the truth,

and the truth will make you free. And so I

studied what this word means. Now, if you abide in

my word, the word actually is love. Us actually means

the written word of God. If you study the Greek

word of it, it's actually logos. Okay, if you know

the lagos or the written word of God, you should

abide in it and you will know the truth, and

the truth will make you feel Somebody say amen, And

I'm going to go deeper in a little while, but

let me just continue on this verse for a moment,

and so verse to the tree says, they answered him,

these are the Jews and the Pharisees. They answered him,

we are Abraham's descendants and have never been in bondage

to anyone.

How can you say you will be made free? Now?

It's very interesting, friends, when we live in denial, we

actually don't know it on.

If we actually don't admit that we are wrong.

If you look at this verse, it's very interesting because

for the Jews or for the Pharisees to say that,

it's strange. Why because if you study the history, you

know that there have always been under bondage from the Assyrians,

from the Babylonians, who else.

Philistines, right, And at that moment.

Where this story was being told, where Jesus speaking to them,

they are still under the rule and the power of Rome, right,

And so they're asking Jesus, how can you say which

have been said? Fee, We're not in burnish to anyone, right.

And that's where pride and erogance can really grip us.

And we don't even realize that we can actually be

under a bondage, you know. And they've been waiting for

a savior to save them, right, and how can they

say that they're not in bondish to anyone. But actually

Jesus wasn't talking so much about a bondage to someone,

but more of a bondage to something which is seen.

So sometimes we can be right in front of the answer.

But yeah, you can miss the point. That's what the

Jews they told.

They missed the point, right.

Jesus wasn't just talking about a physical bondage to your

current situation which is under rome in that time, but

he was talking about a spiritual bondage that you and

I will go to, which is which is sin.

And so Jesus wants to deal with the bigger.

Problem, which is the spiritual powerm sin in our lives.

And so the Jews missed the point. And sin is

not just doing something that is wrong. Maybe you've heard

me say this before many times. Sin at the end

of the day is missing the mark. Missing the mark.

So if you were if you were to shoot an arrow,

either archer or bow and arrow or I'm not sure

that you watch Olympics before, you know way they have this.

They use a gun to shoot and I think this

guy who there's one very interesting image of this guy

who who didn't wear any of his equipment right, and

it's okay, she's so well, uh, quite quite funny. I'm

not sure that he saw that I did. He wants

silver if I'm not wrong. And so scene is like

missing the mop right. And if you should a error,

or if you if you shoot a bullet on a

target and you hit anywhere else except the bull's eye,

that is still missing the map right unless you purposely

him for something else, you know, And that is what

sin is missing the math. That means sin is not

only doing wrong, but even not doing what it is right.

It's already sin. Think about it for a moment.

That means if we ought to do something but did

not do, that is already seen because you already missed

the map. There is God's standard of scein. And that

is why we you need a savior really, because we

can't do it on our own.

We need the Holy Spirit to help us. Amen. And so.

This is the bondage that Jesus was referring to, which

is sin okay, and so verse thirty four says Jesus

answered that most surely I say to you, whoever comes,

whoever commits sin, is a slave to sin. And the

slave is not abide in the house forever, but the

sun abides forever. Now, let me give you a better

understanding of what this slave of a sin actually means. Okay,

And I have the verse on the screen is found

in Roman chapter seven, verse fourteen to twenty five. And

I purposonally chose the NLT version to give us a

better understanding because I read the NKJV and it's quite complicated.

It's quite hard to understand.

But for the sake of understanding, I'm going to use

the NLT version, okay, to help us understand this verse better.

So it goes and say Romans seven fourteen says, so

the trouble is not with the law, for it is

spiritual and good.

Okay.

So the law is good, okay, nothing wrong with it.

The trouble is with me, okay, Paul saying the trouble

is with me, for I'm all too human, a slave

to sin. I don't really understand myself, for I want

to do what is right, but I don't do it.

You see this, I want to do what's right, but

I don't do it. Instead I do what I hate.

But if I know that what I'm doing is wrong.

This shows that I agree that the law is good.

Let me see, understands that there is a good and

bad that's right and wrong. Right, And if I know

what I'm doing is wrong, that means I actually know

the difference. There's a moral compass. Right, he understands the

law is good. So I am not the one doing wrong.

It is sin living in me that does it. Verse eighteen.

And I know that nothing good lives in me. It

is in my sinful nature. I want to do what

is right, but I can't. I want to do what

is good, but I don't. I don't want to do

what is wrong, but I do it anyway. This sounds

sound familiar. I'm not going to ask you to raise

your hand, but it sounds like you. But it sounds

like me. That's for sure. Right, the things I want

to do i'm supposed to do, I don't do. The

things that I shouldn't do, I do. And it's a

constant scene of nature in US. Okay, and Paul is

saying it. In fact, Paul calls himself the chief of sinners. Right,

and so we admit that it's real. So verse training

to say is but if I do what I don't

want to do. I'm not really the one doing wrong.

It is sin living in me that does it. So

I have discovered this principle of life that when I

want to do what is right and inevitably do what

is wrong. Wow, what a principle that Paul learned. Verse

twenty two says, I love God's law with all my heart,

but there is another power within me that they said

war in my mind.

This power makes me a slave to sin.

This second time, he's saying, a slave to sin, slave

to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what

a mis miserable person I am? Who will free me

from this life that is dominated by sin and death?

And finally here comes the answer. Thank God, somebody say, amen,

the answer is in Jesus Christ.

Our Lord.

So you see how it is in my mind. I

really want to obey God's law, but because of my

sinful nature, I am a slave to sin. That's the

third time in this passage alone that Paul says, I

am a slave to sin, and thank God, the answer

is in Jesus Christ, our Lord. And so Jesus was

dealing with a bigger problem, not a physical bondage, but

a spiritual bondage that you and I are going through.

And finally, he says, therefore, if the sun makes you free,

you shall be free indeed. And this son refers to

Jesus Christ kep the s son. In the Bible, it's

written kepital s referring to Jesus himself. If the sun

makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

And so in order for.

Us to be free, first of all, we need to

recognize that it's a sun that makes us free.

Secondly, we need to know the truth.

Because of what God says the truth, you shall know

the truth, and the truth will make you free. So

I want to present to us a few truths today

today at least three. There are actually a lot of truths,

but I want to keep it simple so you can remember. Otherwise,

if I give you ten, you remember none. So allow

me just give it free, okay. And why is the

truth so important to us today? It's because today it's

getting more and more difficult to recognize the truth.

Okay.

And I think you'll heard me say this before. You know,

if one person tells you a lie, you probably know

it's a lie. If ten people tell you a lie,

you probably think it's still a lie. But if one

hundred and a thousand per say the same thing, eventually

the lie becomes the truth, or it becomes a fact

that people will believe, you know. And it's very hard

to differentiate between what is false and what is true.

Today, very very difficult.

In fact, the devil today is always at work to

distart the truth. And you and I need a compass

of what I call it's a true North that will

never move. How many if you know, the North never

moves in the North movie in trouble, something our earth

will be.

Something will be wrong with our earth. But the enough

never moves, you know.

And so you and I need a true compass enough

in our life that never, never moves and never changes.

And that's the Bible. Heaven and love will pass.

Away, by my word shall never have away. It will remain, so,

the Bible tells us. And so the enemy is always

at work. He is lying to us, and he's the

father of lies. The Bible tells us that. And so

that's why knowing the truth is very very important, because

when we know the truth, it will make us free.

And Jesus himself says, I am the way the truth,

and the life. No one comes to the Father except

to me. So it's very powerful. And Jesus himself preached

this because he's talking about himself.

Actually he is the truth.

And so I'm going to present to us just three

truths about us in relation to God.

And it's this simple number.

One, We are created by God. I'm sure all of

us know that and believe in that. But if you

don't believe in that, I pray it today you will

be convinced that we are created by God. Secondly is

we are loved by God. And thirty is we are

forgiven by God, forgiven, and we deemed by God. All

three of these is foundational for us, for you and

I today. And the devil will always try to distort

this truth. I'm going to give you a a few examples,

but let me go to the scripture of Us Genesis,

chapter one, verse twenty six to twenty seven.

This is doing the creation of the world. And then

God created man.

What do you say, then, God said, let us make

man in our image according to our likeness. Let them

have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the

bursts of the air, and over the cattle, over all

the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on

the earth. So God created man in his own image,

in the image of God. He created them male and female.

He created them. Now, may I remind you and suggests

you that in the scriptures, if God says it once

is important, he says it twice, it's very important. But

when he says it three times, yeah, when he says

it's very very important, it captures your attention three times.

In this verse alone, it emphasizes that we are created

in the image of God, not once, not twice, but

three times. So I will remind us once again. We

are created in the image of God. And why is

that so powerful? Because because we were created in the

image of God and the likeness of God. That is

why Jesus could be the Word made flesh. You see

what I'm getting at God who came in the form

of a man, incarnated in the form of man, and

he can do with us because we were made in

the image of God, in the likeness of God. And

that is why Christ can relate to us as humans.

Because we are made in the same image. That is

powerful in itself. If we were different and God came

down as a different being, then maybe some can argue, oh,

it was a different being, he can't relate to us.

But look at this, These words alone tells us that

we are made in His image.

That itself is a powerful truth.

And so, as human created in the image of God,

does he mean we possess personality?

You know.

That separates us from other created beings. We have personality,

we have morality, we have spirituality that differentiates us between

any other of God's living creation. We have knowledge, we

have feelings, we have a will, just like when Jesus

came on earth, he also had feelings. Because the shortest

scripture the Bible says Jesus' web.

Shortters.

I think the second shortest is we joys always. But

jesus web is shot up by the by the letter count.

So Jesus also had a feeling. So, as us, created

by God in this image, we have personality.

We have morality.

We're able to make moral judgments within what is right

and what is wrong.

And as humans, we also.

Have spirituality because God is spirit. When we connect with

the Lord, we connect in the spirit because He is

spirit imen And so the enemy will try to lie

to us, and this tart, this truth. The enemy will

tell us that you are not good enough, you are worthless.

You are defined by your successors, your beauty, your status,

your possessions. That's not what it is. Our identity is

sure and secure. That we are made in the image

of God. The Bible tells us that we are fearfully

and wonderfully made, fearfully and wonderfully made. He's found in

Psalm Chatter one three nine, verse thirteen to eighteen. It's

very very beautiful. Some you can go and read it.

I really love this sum It talks about how.

You know unique.

God has made us. He made us in the matter's room.

He knew my form before I was created, and so

God knows us. He created us, and the Bible tells

us that we are God's workmanship, created for good works.

And one more very important truth I would say in

this verse is that in Genesis one twenty sixty twenty

seven it says male and female He created them. Now

listen this very carefully today. You will fine that sometimes

when you feel forms I don't know, government forms, there's

a third box that appears, and the gender is I

don't know.

They call it others or something like that. I don't know.

For pefore not to say, Okay, believe me, I've seen it.

I'm not sure that you sawy or not. And it's

happening right.

But may I suggest to you that it is very

clear in the Bible there is only two genders, male

and female. Genesis Chapter one, in the beginning of creation,

male and female.

He created them.

So this is another truth that the devil has always

tried to distart, and the Bible is very clear about it.

Thanks be to God, we have a true nough that

never changes. You can always go back to it. Amen,

male and female, He created them, the Bible says. So

I want to say to us, if we know and

recognize that we are created by God, we are his workmanship.

We are fearfully and wonderfully created. We are creating His image.

If you abide in this truth, it will make you free.

I'm gonna say it again, if you're biding this truth,

it will make you free. Second thing is this, we

are loved by God. We are loved by God. John

three sixteen is a great verse that you can memorize.

For God, who loved the word that he gave his

only the godden son, whoever should believe in him, should

not perish, but have ever lasting life or eternal life.

Other versions will say, and.

So God loves us, we are loved by God. Another

verse for you one John four, verse nine to ten says,

this is how God showed his love among us. He

said his one and only son into the world that

we might live through him. This is love. Not that

we loved God, but that He loved us and send

his son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. So

what is the lie of the satan? Satan will lie

to us and say that you are not loved. Satan

will say that you are abandoned by God. Satan will

say to you that God's love to you depends on

your performance, how well you do.

That is the lie of the devil.

Never believe it, because the Bible is very clear that

nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Can I hear, good? Amen?

Nothing can separate us from the love of God. That

is the truth that you and I need to hide

in our heart. And again I'll say to you, if

you know this truth, it will make you free. Nothing

can separate us from the love of God. Romans eight

thirty five. I'm not sure if I have a slight

for that. If not, let me okay, let me read

it to you Romans eight thirty five to thirty nine.

Romans eight thirty five. Who shall separate us from the

Love of Christ shall tribulation or distress, or persecution, or

femine or nickodness, or power or sword, as it is written,

for your sake, we are killed all day long. We

are counted as sheep for the slaughter. Yet in all

these things we are more than conquerous to Him who

loved us. For I am persuaded they're neither death, nor life,

nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor

things to come, nor height, nor death nor any other

created thing shall be able to separate us from the

Love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

Nothing will be able to separate us from the love

of God.

So may I suggest to you.

That even our sin and our wrongdoings, you know, there's

not separate us from God. Although yes, sin separates us

from the love from from God, but it does not

separate us from.

The love of God. The love of God remains with us.

You have, you and I have a choice, whether we

choose to surrender our lives and to ask for forgiveness,

and so his love is not dependent on our performance

on how we do. His love remains the same. His

love remains the same for us. Praise be to God.

Thank God for his amazing grace and mercy. Because if

God loved us based on our performance, I think we'll

be a lot of trouble. Really we would be. But

thanks be to God. The third truth is this, we

are forgiven by God. The Bible says in one John one,

verse nine, if we confess our sins, he is faithful.

Somebody say, faithful and just to forgive us our sins

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So it's as

simple as if we confess our sins. If we confess

our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive, give

us our sins and the cleanses from all unrighteousness. Because

you and I have been forgiven, We have been redeemed

and purchased by Him by the blood of Jesus. And

so the satan will lie to us. You know, I'm

not sure whether you have had this situation before in

your life. When you hear a lie told to you

that look, you know your sin is too great for

God maybe you have done many wrongs in your life

and you hear his voice telling you that look, because

of your sin, God does not love you, or your

sin is too big for God. Or in fact, sometimes

you feel the guilt and the shame holding you back.

I will let you know there's a lie of the enemy,

because the Bible tells us there is no condemnation in

Christ Jesus. All we need to do is to ask

for forgiveness, to confess our sins. God is faithful and

just and will forgive us. And so when we know

the truth again, the truth will make you free. Somebody say, Amen,

the truth will make you free. This is how we

ought to live as disciples. When we are bide in

His word, we know the truth, and the truth will

make you free. And God wants us to live in freedom.

Amen.

Let me just give you one truth about God. He

is eternal and unchanging. Aren't you glad that God is unchanging?

The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today,

and forever he Brews thirteen eight. And to summarize all

the three points I said earlier, since God created us

in his image, and since God loves us, and since

God has forgiven and redeemed us. He will never change,

it will be make in the same. And if you

know this truth and abide in this truth, it will

make you free.

Amen.

So as I'm coming towards my last lap? What does

it mean to be free? What does it mean to

be free? For you and I? Now, being free does

not mean that we can do anything we want without consequences.

That is something that we are always hoping we can do. Right,

how many I feel like that? You know I won't

be able to live my life free from consequences. I

can eat whatever I want. I know my limits of

my body. I will not eat more than five dun pieces.

Some of you can eat five five fruits?

Five What hassa? What was it? One? One whole d

n piece you know has got has it? Yeah?

Maybe something you can eat two or three. But for me,

if I eat ten pieces, I'll take mc tomorrow day.

So I know my body. You know there are consequences,

but sometimes we live right, you want to live free

of our consequences. But that's not what the Bible is

telling us. Friends, that is not what it means. Okay,

because clearly, even though we have freedom.

In our life.

The consequences will always remain for actions. Let me give

you an example in the Book of Genesis, when dam

and Eve was in the garden of Eden, God said,

these are very specifically, you shall freely eat. Listen to

the center the word wak carefully. You shall freely eat

of any tree in the garden. Okay, freely either and

then it says, but or accept the tree of the

knowledge of good and evil. So do they do they

have freedom? Yes, they did, because God said, you shall

freely eat allah Allah, freely eat all except except one.

And I tell you that puts into perspective that God

is always got over our lives. There is always something

that we cannot touch because it belongs to the Lord,

and he's always God. We can never live our lives

with total freedom. You know how dangerous that is. Imagine

driving on the road outside and there's no there's no law,

there's no order. We've been in a lot of trouble,

you know. And so you and I even understand that.

We recognize that. And you play sports, and you play badminton, football, basketball,

whatever it is, pick a ball. There is rules, there

is law, right, there is law and order, And so

to live in freedom is to live within the boundaries,

within the permissible will of God, within what God has allowed.

And may I suggest to us even our freedom came

with a cost, because Jesus his life, and so our

freedom is not free.

Although the gift of.

God is is a free gift to us, but it

came with the costs.

And God wants us to be free.

And so I studied this word free in this portion

in John chapter eight. And you know, you know what

the free, the word free means. If you're going to

study the Greek word original word, it means actually set

at liberty from the dominion of sin.

That's what it actually means, you know.

So you shall know the truth, and the truth shall

make you free. So what are we ready set free from?

We are set free from the dominion of sin. We

are set free from the bondage of sin. We are

set free from the penalty of sin. We are set

free from the guilt and the shame of sin. That

really is what we are set free from. It is

our spiritual state. You know that we are free from sin,

which I told you earlier. If becoming sin, we are

a slave of sin. But God sets us free whom

the sun sets. Free is free indeed, and we are

free from the dominion and the bondage of sin. So

you and I have the freedom to live. God wants

us to have the freedom to live. John ten ten

tells us that I've come that they may have life

and have it more abundantly. So God wants to give

us the freedom to live, and also the freedom to

give and to serve. Because Matthew ten eight tells us

freely you have received freely gif. I'm gonna invite worship

team to come up even as I close. And so

how many evers do you want to live? Three lives?

Three lives in a sense that we are living in freedom,

because the danger is that sometimes we can be living,

We can be alive but not really living.

Do you know the difference in that.

I've heard of you know, friends who they're alive, they're

breeding every day they are that they're breeding, but they

can be living in bondage. There's a difference between being

alive and truly living. There's a huge difference. How many

I will know that God doesn't one us just to

be alive, but he wants us to be living, to

be living in freedom. God's redemption grants us the freedom

to live a life of hope and love. I think

I have a slight for that. God's redemption grants us

the freedom to live a life of hope and love.

And so as I close only mind us once again,

when we know the word, maybe abide in the word,

we will know the truth. And the truth will make

you free, or some other versions say it will set

you free. And this word no in the Bible that

was used is actually a word of intimacy, and intimacy,

not just hate knowledge, but to really know it in

our hearts, to live it like, to live it out,

to continue in the world, to abide in the world.

And as you hide the Word of God in your heart,

it will make you free. One last verse is a

close efficient Chapter one, verse seven.

Physian Chapter one, verse seven.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness

of sins according to the richness of His grace.

Verse thirteen. In Him, you.

Also trusted after you heard the Word of truth, the

Word of truth, the Gospel of your salvation, in whom also,

having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Who is the guarantee of our inhabitants, until the redemption

of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. Amen,

thank you Lord, how many of us here? I want

abide in this word. And when we are abiding this word,

we will know His truth. And I prophesied over you

right now. And as you know the truth, the truth

will make you free. Somebody say, Amen, come on, if

you want to be free, and if you are free

in this place, stand to your feet. Oh, the law

wants to give us freedom in our lives. Freedom not

just in the physical sense, but freedom in the spiritual,

in our state of our spirit. Free from the bondage

of sin, free from the slave of sin, free from

the lie of the enemy, free from every guilt or shame.

And maybe some of us have been hanging on to

a guilt or a shame. And I can tell you

it's not easy when you have this guilt or shame

of sin in your life that holds you. Every single

time you come into the presence of God. You feel like,

you feel like we are dirty, You feel like God.

Does not love me.

And if you're in a place and really feeling like

God you don't love me.

God, I'm not good enough.

Maybe they could be a guilt and a shame and

a past herd that is boiling in you, that is

manifesting in you.

And today it will be the day that you laid

at the feet of the cross.

And even as I have told you the truth, may

you not just know the truth, but live it out.

And I say to you, the truth will make you free.

So don't let the enemy lie to you. Look to him,

look to the word of God. Look to the truth

of God. The never changes. He is the same yesterday,

today and forever more. Let the truth sink in your

heart and bear much fruit. Then, as disciples and as

believe us, we will live in freedom. God wants us

to live in freedom, in His freedom that he gives us.

Not necessarily free from all the consequences.

No, that's not the freedom.

I'm talking about, freedom in living under the love and

the power of God within his will.
