The title of my message this morning, I'll give you

a short run, a long one, okay. The long one

is I would not offer to God that which costs

me nothing. That's a long one. You lazy you write it.

I just write a sacrifice. Okay, sacrifice. Okay. I'm sure

you got your Bible, so you please turn to First Chronicles,

chapter twenty one. We're going to be reading the Bible

a little bit this morning, First Chronicles, chapter twenty one,

and we're going to be reading from verse eighteen all

the way to verse thirty. Okay. If you're there, say yeah,

not yet, okay, near mind lah. Some of you're using

the e bibersh you faster ride First Chronicles, chapter twenty one,

Verse eighteen to thirty. Okay. And if you don't have

your Bible, if you or you forgot to bring, it's

read the word of God together. Okay, come, let's read

from verse eighteen. He says, here, therefore, the Angel of

the Lord commanded God to say to David that David

should go and erect and alter to the Lord on

the thrashing floor of Ornan the Jebi's side. Okay, Lord,

had spoken in the name of the Lord. Now Ornan

you a bit of background what happened. So basically what

happened was that, you know, if you read in the

beginning of chapter twenty one, right, he says here, let

me ready. Now, Satan stood up against Israel and moved

David to number Israel Wow, that's quite funny. How come

theyve Satan can move David on. I thought David is

after a man after God's own heart. I thought God

were protected him, send his angels to you know, say

don't disturb David. But here I read in the scripture

David do since Satan is the one that move is hard? Okay,

So David say to Joepp and to the leaders of

David asked for a census. You know a census is

okay for all those in Malaysia you proif familiar, this

go house to house to count how many people are

there and stuff that they want to count how many

I will encourage you to studied the Bible. Doing a

census is something that's very serious. There's only one reason

why they do a census in the Bible is when

they want to number the people for punishment. So why

did David want to number the people moulting thing in

Cantonesa or like just for fun? He just wanted to

know for fun, right, And that's what happened. And there

was the background and God, of course, when you do

something wrong, God get angry. Lat so God got angry.

In fact, Joeb is actually his nephew is when King

King David, he was Joeb was the commander of his army,

and he asked Joeb to go and do a census.

Do you know how long it takes to do a census? No?

Very fast? No, so actually there were time. It's not

before David with his face on the ground. He knows

who David is. It's a king. Right. Then David said

to ornand grant me the peace of this threshing flaw,

that I may build an alter on it. To the Lord.

You shall grant it to me at the full price,

that the plague may be withdrawn from the people. So

got instruction, now, okay. God gave the option of the punishment,

David chose punishment happened, and then God gave redemption. See

God will always give us a way. I want to

know out of our own problems. But do you know

that you cannot avoid the consequences of your decisions. It's

sometime we don't understand that. We think that, you know,

believing in Jesus get out jail free card. Yes it

is in a way, but we still have to deal

with the consequences. We still have to deal with the consequences.

Because God is just. He won't let us run away

without learning the lesson. So don't blame God when you

make the wrong decision and then you have to do

with the consequences. But do you know what is the

wonderful thing about God? He gives you a redemption plan

that even after though you had to go through the

consequences and it's not fun now, it's painfuler, God still

gives you a way out. Do you know that God

loves you when he does that? But as human being

so nice, we only see the good and the bad.

Oh I'm suffering now, that's it. No, we have to

learn from it. We have to learn don't do it again.

Do you know that if there was no consequence, they

will do it again? You know why we are like that?

Human beings are like that? But because that's a consequence,

because we experienced the pain before, we will be very

careful not to do it again. But the wonderful thing

is not just about the punishment. It is about the

redemption that God still gave us. God it's not cruel.

He doesn't put us in the situation and let us

go to the consequences, right, and don't have a redemption plan.

That is a redemption plan. But we still have to

follow through the redemption plan. You guys caught that right,

this somewhere. Satan wasn't created by God. Lucifer was created

by God. Satan came after God didn't created Satan. God

created Lucifer. Satan was a byproduct of free will because

Lucifer changed his name and he became Satan. Right, So

David did not follow the proceedus outlined in the law

Moses for census and the census were ultimately used to

reacted and the way David reacted, because So reacted very differently.

grace is sufficient for you in this season that God

has called you to do what you need to do.

His grace is sufficient for you. And don't compare with

other people. He'sral as compared see where he got them.

Don't compare. Everyone has their own cross to bed, Everyone

has your own thing to do. Amen. If we think

about it, we enjoy a lot of things because of

other people sacrifices as well. It takes sacrifice to build something,

It takes sacrifice to establish things. It takes maturity to sacrifice.

something I want to do, I cannot know, so I

don't know. We got to accept it, know, we got

to learn about it, you know. And then I will

So I always think about things differently. I'm sure passest

why don't people sacrifice to the Lord? Why can't people

come early for service? Why can't people Why must I

what happened between King David and King Saul. King David

had a close relationship with God, while King Saul unfortunately

abused his position and disobeyed God. Your catch that your

that sacrifice is constantly spoken about in the Bible as

an offering? Okay, if you want to do a deeper idea,

be all study to understand it a little bit more.

We thought about sacrifice, We got but something that don't

cost me nothing. But let me go into the deeper

part of it. Leve takers. One talks about the burnt offering.

Does this word sound for me a burn offering? You

know why it sounds a minner as I'm sharing about

all these things because King David offered up a burnt

offering to the Lord. Right, he offered up a burnt

offering to the Lord. Who else offered up a burn

offering to the Lord Abraham? Worship? You go do deep

study on burn offering. Very interesting burn offering to the Lord. Okay,

offer offering today this day and age. How do you

offer offering to the Lord? Worship right? Because Jesus said

there will come a day where the people that believe

in me will worship in spirit? And in what does

that mean? Spirit is anywhere? Spirit? No truth is true

to my heart. Don't sing and don't mean it? Sing,

ad meet it. There is truth because when you sing

and dominate, then you are lying your cash at It's

so simple, it's so profound. But what's the significance of

burn offering in our lives as believer? As Christians? Burn offering?

Let me give you the the meaning of burn offering

what are we offering to the lot today? As you

come here on Sunday? What are you offering to the lot?

Let me talk to those serving so many you came

after church can go play pickaball I cannot. Do you

know that when you do that, you're constantly offering up

burn offerings to him? Can I encourage you? Can I

encourage you? If the Lord has called you to serve here,

even though your work is in DJ or other places.

If the Lot has caught you to this place, so,

I say, if the lot so, you need to be

clear on that. If the Lot has be confident that

every time you answer the call and every time you

drive here, you are offering him worship. It's not when

you start playing the guitar or start no a radio

offering worship. When you wake up at four a m. Lord,

I'm worshiping you by sacrificing my sleep. I want you

to catch that in your heart. As you do it,

you are offering every time you are doing it, You're

offering up worship to him, Amen and the Lord. Honestly,

it is like sweet smelling incense. No. Now, I when

I get ready to go to church, and when I

meet the people in my church plant serving, I will

tell him I pray that God will be pleased without

offering this morning. I pray that He will be pleased

with what we have to offer. What are we offering

him this morning? Friends? I don't like this song, lah,

I prefer the new better song. Who are we worshiping

our egos or the Lord? We got to really take

a real heart check now because the world is going

one direction. Ready, you know, the world is going one direction?

Are we going to follow the world? A We're going

to follow God. The songs that I'm wearing encouraged and

and it's very interesting because you know, God will raised

up the standard. Let me talk a little bit about worship.

Of course, I know we had a whole god some

drama with the whole worship. See you know, then suddenly

the song all about me, me me me, I I

I Jesus lost me and everything. I mean, it's good, okay,

but it's all me me me. You know, no reverence

of God, no, like God is great and hardly you

hear those were the Michael W. Smith time right, all

that we talked about the greatness of God and all

see worship to who worship to us or worship So

there was a moment that was that. But I'm recognized

and I'm hearing new songs being birth about the greatness

of God. I wouldn't use names loud, but new names. Okay,

maybe I'll just give you one or two names that

I'm observing. I don't know that you were changed, but

so far I've been hearing the new song said right,

it's always bout the greatness of God. Feel Wickham and

Brendan Lake worship lead us. I'm like, ah, interesting, very different,

very different, the lyrics very different, and the flow. Yeah,

I ask God, are you raising up another standard? Because

God deserves glory and praise? So actually the songs we

choose press significant. No, you know, sometimes we choose song

that we like. I mean, it's not nothing wrong with that,

but I think when you come to place where we

really worship God here because He deserves praise and worship. Amen,

So sacrifice. Simple question to answer, What am I offering

to God this morning? What am I offering to God?

This morning because we should offer up a sacrifice of

praise to Him. Amen, you should offer a sacrifice of praise.

And again I said, I want to encourage those of

you who are here. You've given up a lot. You

sacrifice a lot. It's obeyed, you know, maybe just one word,

no need, then you obey. Be encouraged. God sees. God

sees the sacrifice. God sees what you do you think?

No one sees. God sees. Yeah. Sometimes the leaders don't see.

Sometimes the leader is the same in this moment. No,

God sees. And as long as God has still called

you to be in this place, no that He will

take care of you. Know that He will enable you.

Know that it is all for its glory. It is

not for no reason one Amen. Amen, hallelujah. Caabadi.
