You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
Where's your Confidence is the subtitle, and of course our
-
bigger title for the year is Disciple First. Now we've
-
moved on to the next slide, and this slide is
-
a slide that I use many many years ago when
-
the Lord taught me about leading leaders and getting the
-
job done and getting church planted, et cetera, et cetera.
-
Confidence is really important. But before confidence can come, you
-
and I need clarity. And of course with confidence will
-
come courage. So listen just for the next two minutes,
-
because I don't want to spend much time on this.
-
This is very important. Things get done because people are courageous.
-
Without courage, things don't get done. It's as simple as that.
-
But before courage can even appear, you and I need
-
confidence because without confidence you will never step out onto
-
the water out of the boat. But before confidence can come,
-
clarity is very very key. That's why as a boss
-
or as a manager, you don't and you won't get
-
things done well. Your staff will come back to you
-
and say that they tried, but they couldn't. And most
-
of the time if we look at it carefully, we
-
will find that it is because we didn't give clear instructions.
-
That's why we often go into YouTube.
-
My wife just went into YouTube just a couple of
-
days ago because we had an m Way filter water
-
filter that we don't use anymore.
-
We no longer use it because we have a new
-
water purifier.
-
It's LG, all right, Not that I'm a salesperson for LG,
-
but it's a really really good machine. We just got
-
it up last Sunday. Is under the sink and at
-
the top. It's a very sleek output and we can
-
press buttons, buttons on it, you know, hot water, and
-
so now we can make my low without even boiling water.
-
You know.
-
So so we do that, and there's ambient water. There
-
is also mbient meaning lukewarm or room temperature, and of
-
course cold, you know. So we never need to go
-
to fridge anymore. No, the last five days I didn't
-
need to go to fridge because cold water. And even
-
though I didn't need to drink, I just like to
-
play with this new thing, and so, you know, I
-
just kept pressing and but it's good because you need
-
to drink more water, right, everybody here. Don't just pray
-
for healing. Sometimes all you need to do is just
-
drink more water and you will be healed, all right.
-
So she she needed to take this new filter on
-
this old filter out of the old water filter. And
-
she didn't know how to do it because she forgot.
-
We only changed the filter once every six months, and
-
in six months you can forget, you know. And so
-
she called me in. She said, dear, could you come
-
and help me? I said, oh, this woman. No, I
-
didn't say it. I didn't say that. I said, wow,
-
you know, tieth aniversary coming. It's the least I could
-
do for her. It's the least I could do for her.
-
So I wear and I try. I use all my muscles. Uh,
-
my muscles aren't really as strong as they were four
-
months ago, because you know, I haven't been moving. So
-
there's a muscle atrophy, muscle weakness. And anyway, Uh, there's
-
my left leg. I can still use my hand and
-
so and my right hand is strong because you know,
-
I've been supporting my body with my right hand. And
-
I tried, you know, and I said, I call upon
-
you know the strength of Samson. And no, I didn't
-
say that. And I tried, you know, but really it
-
couldn't come out. So then my wife started to blame myself.
-
You know, I think I put it the wrong way.
-
You know, in my mind I was like, of course
-
you did, but the but the but of course you
-
know their tieth anyversy coming up, you know, No, of
-
course you didn't. Don't blame yourself. And so she went,
-
uh to the experts YouTube, because YouTube, you know, is
-
very clear. They will give you step by step and
-
videos on all right, and different languages. Right, so found
-
the Mandarin one, couldn't understand a single word, and then
-
got into the German one, and then finally we got
-
the South African speaking English. Yeah, and and and and
-
it was easy, all right. We we we saw oh
-
that My wife was saying, you're so easy, so easy,
-
so easy, because it's clear.
-
And if life is clear, we will be confident to
-
do it.
-
And why we are not confident because we are not
-
clear in the first place.
-
Is this the way to do it? Is this the
-
right way? Should I do?
-
How? Long? When? How? Where? Right?
-
But when people are.
-
Clear, they move with confidence, and when they move with confidence,
-
they will move with courage. Okay, So the tree seas
-
are really important in God's economy and in God's plan
-
for your life and for my life.
-
Confidence is what I want to dwell on today.
-
The next flight says confidence is powerful, meaning to say
-
that there is nothing you cannot do on this earth
-
as long as you have confidence. And when you don't
-
have confidvidence, you will not be able to achieve it.
-
But if you're confident, you can preach. If you're confident,
-
you can pray, if you're confident you will go on
-
missions even though you don't speak the language. You know,
-
many Koreans come to Malaysia and around the world. They
-
don't speak the language, but for some reason they are
-
very confident. And you know why. It's because they've seen
-
other Koreans go and they really know Chup Chay you know,
-
come Samida.
-
You know, and uh, you know and all this right.
-
They don't speak the language, they just come because confidence.
-
When we went to plant a church in London, I
-
was just asking God, God, you know how small or
-
ring it is. And there's a reason why they call
-
it pounds because it's really heavy. Uh and and and
-
yet God gave me finally the confidence or my as
-
my friend says, my friend says, it's very confidently. He says, condifference, condfiference,
-
He says faster. You must have condiference. I say, yeah,
-
you say very confidently, and and it just sounds right,
-
you know, after what I thought I was wrong. Condifference Okay, No,
-
it's not. Difference is confidence, confidence, and it's powerful, powerful,
-
you know. Uh. I see a lot of people getting
-
a nervous nurse and and and and uh what.
-
They call it? Uh uh uh what what feed they
-
call it? Uh?
-
Cold feet, just because they're about to get married, you know, uh,
-
and they're going to give their life away to this person.
-
You know that they just only got to know, you
-
know for the last three months and and and everything
-
was you know, good, and the planning was great, and
-
then they get cold feet, nervous, right, yeah, Because as
-
pause Sandra said, marriage is for the brave hearted. You
-
must have confiference. Confidence. Yeah, it's powderful, it's powerful, I'm
-
telling you. And if you can have confidence, I tell
-
you what God can do wonderful things through your life.
-
Pray for the sick, go to the hospital, go from
-
bed to bed, witness to your friend, house to house, neighbor.
-
Listen.
-
If you have confidence, there's nothing you cannot do, or
-
at least one to try. So God, it's not done
-
with the earth. It's got many more things to do.
-
He wants to do it through us. But guess what,
-
that's also what the devil wants to rob Because if
-
the devil can rob us of our confidence, he's robbed
-
us of our dreams. So he will allow things to
-
happen to you. Right, make a mistake, and then you say,
-
I'll never do it. Remember I told you a story
-
of how I went to Send Mary's School. I was
-
only about nineteen going on twenty, and the teacher advisor said,
-
Kenneth Chin, I've heard of you, and we would like
-
to invite you to come and worship lead. Remember the story,
-
and I went. I practiced for two weeks. You know,
-
two weeks.
-
How many have you practiced for worship leading?
-
Two weeks? I practiced for two weeks. Now I had
-
my guitarists and he was four songs. Why because twenty
-
minutes I can do four songs, no problem. Okay. The
-
first song is Bless the Lord, Oh mass. If I
-
tell you it was a hot song of the day,
-
and all there is within me. Some of you are
-
looking at me like we've never heard of that new song. Yeah,
-
and then it's no, I flow with, Come bless the Lord,
-
Come bless the Lord, all ease servants of the Lord,
-
all your servants of the Lord, who stand by, and
-
I'm most gonna finish it. So I won't because I
-
don't have time.
-
Right then, I'm flowing through.
-
And this is the day, this is the day that
-
the Lord has made twenty minutes no problem. Okay to
-
my guitarists, okay, both of us, both of us guys, okay,
-
both of us guys. Uh. I thought that we will
-
we will do this so well because we felt when
-
we were nineteen that we were the most good looking
-
guys in in.
-
You know, our church.
-
You know. Now, of course truth has set me free.
-
But the thing is, I don't know why you're laughing,
-
but to love so loud? Lah Okay. So it was
-
all girls school, all girls school, and I remember, you know,
-
four hundred girls with there. Four hundred girls were there.
-
It was one of those religious week where you know,
-
the Muslims will go to their you know muslim do uh,
-
the Buddhists, you know, to their event, and then those
-
line that line line the rest. Okay, plus the Christians
-
will come and they they they a lot of them
-
like the Christian event because they're seeing all right, and
-
good looking guys and and and four hundred girls are
-
there all right, with forty of them Christian, forty of
-
them Christian three or raise sixty non Christian.
-
Okay, So I I I look at them and and
-
and the girls.
-
I tell you, sometimes you think the guys gangster, if
-
the girls gangster right the way they stand with the
-
blue beautiful, you know, lick can come to be not
-
you you.
-
I mean, I mean I was ready praying under my breath. Lord.
-
You know, if you've never been to the Lions, then
-
if you've never been to the Lions, then just go
-
to a girls school. Uh and and and and and
-
Saint Mary's Mary's, uh said Mary's and so uh uh
-
And we ride past the Kenneth's Chin and not pasta sorry,
-
and we writ Kenneth Chin to come up with his guitarist,
-
and they're gonna lead us in this song. Okay. Uh.
-
The Christians clab forty m they're no Christians, like, oh
-
my god, you know, like sure these guys are quite cute,
-
but uh, okay, so we started Dan Jan bless the Lord,
-
Oh my soul, boom boot three hundred and sixty girls boot. Okay,
-
I have never been into the experience before ever. I
-
mean even in church we don't like so we never
-
boo boo in silah all we pobosically don't list up
-
my hands or that we rebel. Okay, Holy Specie, all
-
your heart repent now yeah boo seconds of Okay, So
-
I like, what what what what new world? I just
-
went through two cents ourday that was so very long.
-
Because boo they came going boo boo.
-
I say, hey, wow, all the guy pride, may God God,
-
the most handsomest guy saddenly became the ugliest guy.
-
Suddenly look like Shrek was on.
-
The you know all right then, so I changed from
-
the only the only hand just I know my guitar
-
is change song after yes, fifteen seconds, Okay, come bless
-
the Lord, Come bless the boo boo.
-
Four songs. I finished in two minutes, two minutes.
-
Fastest worship leader in the world, I hold, I hold
-
the record. Okay.
-
At the day boom boom boom.
-
So I went home thinking to myself, wow, not only
-
they bowed me, I'm a bad worship leader. Uh. You know,
-
I thought I was good looking, but forget it, you know.
-
Uh and uh and then I said, I will never.
-
Have you ever been there before? I will never?
-
And then the call came one year later, Kenneth, thank
-
you for leading worship last year, same teacher you know
-
on the rebuke.
-
Here on the spot.
-
But yes, Hi, but she's a past's wife, so yeah, yeah, yes,
-
can you come and share your testimony? I remember I
-
say it never.
-
Yeah.
-
The devil wants to rob you of your confidence. I'm
-
telling you right now that many times you look back
-
at your your mistakes, you know, Sodi man, Sodi Man,
-
singing again, sing again, and then you get it right.
-
You got to have the courage. Did you know I
-
made a mistake. I'll do it again. I'll do it again.
-
I preach wrongly, so sorry, I didn't mean to, but
-
I'll do it again. I sang, you know, and got bored. Right,
-
Because the thing is, if I never went for the
-
second engagement, which is to share my testimony, I would
-
have not seen forty girls give their lives to Jesus.
-
Forty girls give their lives to Jesus out of fifteen
-
minute testimony. Actually it was a message. I just shared
-
the testimony. They asked me for a message. I shared.
-
It was the shortest message ever. Maybe some of you
-
missed that and go like pasta, can you go back
-
to the day where you spoke for fifteen minutes only?
-
And all right?
-
Okay, those days are gone. Do it again, Lord, do
-
it again. Confidence is powerful. Next slide, Let's look at subscripture.
-
In the fear of the Lord. There is strong confidence. Wow,
-
not just confidence, strong confidence. When you fear God, you
-
know what fear of God is. I give you the
-
summary of this fear of God as I've studied all
-
these years, because a lot of people will tell you
-
what the fear of God is, and I think they're
-
all right, But this one has helped me with the understanding.
-
The fear of God is just this. I just want
-
to do what is right in God's side. I want
-
to hear what God has to say. I want to
-
ask God, what do you think about this? That to
-
me is the summary of the fear of God. When
-
you have the fear of God, you say, God, what
-
do you think? When you don't have the fear of God,
-
you will say, Oh, the people say. The people thought
-
my parents said, okay, all lovely or fine, But when
-
you have a fear, you say whatever they have said,
-
whatever wisdom that the world has given me, and even
-
my parents may have given me wonderful advice. But I
-
want God to hear what you have to say. Bottom line,
-
that's called the fear of God. And if you fear
-
God like that, God, I want to know what you
-
have to say. You will have confidence because God will
-
give to people who want to hear, who give a
-
care I didn't use the bad word, who give a
-
care what he has to think about. Then God will
-
give you confidence. And when you have confidence and you
-
try to do what he's telling he tells you to do,
-
you will always have a place of refuge. That's what
-
the scripture means. Because people are always care. Right if I
-
do how if I die? How if I lose money? How?
-
If you're right?
-
But in the Lord, if you do it in his
-
fear and in his confidence.
-
You and I will always be safe.
-
That's what will have a place of refuge mean, you
-
will never be outside of safety when you do it
-
in God's confidence.
-
Praise the Lord. Next slide, being confident of this very thing.
-
I love this verse, that he who has begun a
-
good work in you will complete it until the day
-
of Jesus Christ. Meaning if you want to see the
-
complete work of God in your life and in my life,
-
we must be confident.
-
You know why a lot of people miss it.
-
They miss the work of the Lord in completion because
-
somewhere along the line they became not confident because the
-
devil was able to come and disturb them and more importantly,
-
deceive them. Because the devil is a deceiver. He's a
-
liar and the father of lies. Amen, So why is
-
he lying to you. He's lying to you that you
-
can't You know, you're ugly, You won't amount to anything.
-
Look at your past, you think, Just look at your
-
past you think you have a future. Look at your mistakes.
-
Cause you to focus on your mistakes and on your sin,
-
and on your weakness. But I said to the eight
-
am that God can turn our mistakes into miracles if
-
you believe it. So completion happens when there is confidence.
-
So don't let the devil rob you, because then you
-
will not be complete. But God will do this, and
-
it takes confidence. Is the first word in that line. Confident, confident,
-
being confident. All right, let's move on. Let's talk about
-
discipleship for a few minutes. Discipleship, or the power or
-
the effectiveness of discipleship is not found in competition, whereby
-
you say, just because I pray more, God loves you more,
-
just because I fast, You know, God loves you more,
-
and many Christians without realizing, we actually do this, and
-
we must be very careful. It's not because like this
-
morning when Passandra told me that she has to be
-
here at seven am because the worship team has to
-
be here. I try to spend time with the Lord
-
in my quiet time at least two hours a day.
-
This has happened since my injury because you know, I
-
didn't have very much to do before that. Maybe the
-
longest quiet time I had was about one to one
-
and a half hours. Sometimes, you know, it might touch
-
two hours, but it was rare. From April to yesterday,
-
two hours has been the minimum in the presence of God. Now,
-
but let me tell you this, Between you who do
-
two minutes and me, who do two hours, I'm not
-
pointing anyone now.
-
God loves us the same. So why then do we
-
do more?
-
Is because we realize we are conscious that he gave
-
us more. And the Bible says in first John, we
-
love him because he first loved us. So the response
-
of one hour, two hours, or five hours is because
-
you begin to be more conscious of what he's done
-
for you, and then you want to begin to serve him.
-
It's not just because you serve him more that you
-
get more. No, you understand that it is very very important.
-
It's not a come addition between us. It's not a
-
competition between judges. It's not a competition between you and yourself.
-
It's not even. So don't try to challenge yourself and say, God,
-
I know you will love me more if I do
-
more for you. Know it does not happen that way. Everybody, clear,
-
very clear. Do not compete, not even with yourself. Surrender
-
and say, Lord, I thank you for all that you
-
have done. And so I tell you, when I learned
-
this from the Lord, my prayer life to begin to
-
be began to be more powerful. I saw more results
-
because before I pray for a person, I will just
-
have some consciousness. First, Lord, before I pray for this person,
-
I'm not talking to the person. I'm not even saying
-
a loud in my own consciousness, I'm saying God, it
-
is going to be by your power in your name,
-
that I get very conscious of what Christ has done.
-
And then I lay hands and then I speak the
-
words that you know really matter. Otherwise sometimes I'm kind
-
of like no, I'm like, I'm like warming up. When
-
I'm praying, I'm trying to you know, find out you know,
-
what works, you know, and then I try to remember formulas,
-
try to remember the last prayer conference that went to
-
what did the past this area? There are about seven ms,
-
seven ms, you know six c's five. You won't remember that,
-
you know, when it comes the time to pray for people,
-
you just have to remember what you need to remember
-
the consciousness of what Christ has done for us. So
-
today really, yeah, you can put on the next slide
-
XTV because I've actually done the next slide. Competition is
-
based on what you do. Consciousness is based on what
-
He's done. Now let's look at the next slide says
-
all of Christianity is found in one name. All of
-
Christianity is found in one name. Now, let me just
-
give you a background of this message. I was invited
-
to speak in a city sea called Bintulu about two
-
months ago, end of June was the exact time frame.
-
And I was still in my crutches, and I was
-
preparing for the message in Bahasa Malaysia. For those of
-
you who are watching this internationally, because this message will
-
go to Africa, it will go to Japan. That's why
-
they recorded when I speak. So Bintulu is a city,
-
and look at the camera now and the city in
-
Sarawa which is East Malaysia, okay, just for your information.
-
And I had to prepare. And when I was preparing
-
for this message, it was so simple, so basic, that
-
I felt a little bit nervous, and I said, Lord,
-
because there was going to be expected. The crowd was
-
going to be about a thousand, five hundred to about
-
two thousand people, and sure enough, for two nights altogether.
-
It was there three nights for two nights there. It
-
was a conference also, so in the daytime one thousand
-
and five and then the last day on Sunday, they
-
all packed the place.
-
It was about two.
-
Thousand, one hundred, two thousand, two hundred, so a lot
-
of people. And I felt really really responsible to bring
-
the right word at the right time. And the Lord
-
said to me, Kenneth, I often choose the simple things
-
to put the shame in all the wise and the weak,
-
to put the shame the strong. So Kenneth, I want
-
you to go and go bring the basic because this
-
is what the church needs.
-
And glory to God.
-
Towards the end of the conference, they all came up,
-
the leaders came up to me and said, this is
-
what we needed to hear. So you know, you just
-
obeyed a lot like even though you look silly. And
-
so maybe even before you right now this morning, I
-
might look silly by giving you a sentence on this
-
screen like this that all of Christianity is found in
-
one name, Jesus. But I'm going to bring you through
-
some thoughts. I'm going to give you some food for
-
thought that might make you think again that maybe it's
-
not always about Jesus for us. So I want to
-
remind us all everything is back to one name. It's
-
not a principle that God is after is a person,
-
and we need to follow a person, not just a principle.
-
Follow a person, not just a doctrine. Follow a person,
-
not just a religion. Follow a person, not just you know,
-
some methods. A man, not a method Okay, so let's
-
look now at First Corinthians two.
-
One to five. This is one of my favorite portions
-
of scripture.
-
And if I ever go before my wife and you
-
have to build a tombstone for me, uh, and you
-
you think to yourself, what scripture will pastor like on
-
his tombstone? Maybe this could help guide you. Really, really,
-
this has become like my mantra in my ministry life especially,
-
and I brethren, this is written by Paul the Apostle.
-
We all love him, we all read his epistles. Epistle
-
is not the Apostle's wife is his letters, and we
-
love his letters, we live by them.
-
And so this is what Paul the Apostle wrote.
-
When I came to you, I did not come with
-
excellence of speech or of wisdom, declaring to you the
-
testimony of God, for I determine not to know anything
-
among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I underlined
-
that I was with you in weakness, or I should
-
have underlined that in fear, and he much trembling. All
-
that tree needs to be underlined and bolded. And my
-
speech and my preaching were not of persuasive words of
-
human wisdom. Maybe that should be underlined as well, but
-
in demonstration of the spirit of power, that your faith
-
should not be in the wisdom of men, but in
-
the power of God, Ladies and gentlemen, brothers. This says,
-
I want to dwell on this for a few minutes.
-
Maybe it might be the longest scripture I dwell on
-
this afternoon. Let's begin, most of us not only as
-
human beings, but as Christians, maybe longtime Christians. If we
-
are honest, we like good preaching. If we are honest,
-
we like good preachers. What defines a good preacher One
-
that doesn't stutter, Maybe one that doesn't go.
-
I one that.
-
Has perfect King's English white Kings English. Because the Queen
-
is dead now it's King Charles, so it's King's English.
-
Now for years we use the Queen's English.
-
You want it to be eloquent, don't you excellent?
-
We love it. In fact, if we're honest, we go like, wow,
-
I haven't heard a single mistake in his grammar. I
-
love it. Some of us really love to hear the
-
British preach, you know, because you know, do you know
-
what I mean? It's just really really good, you know.
-
And so anyway, so see I can't even even do it.
-
But you know it's just just really good listening to
-
Nicky Gumble preach.
-
No really really so we like it.
-
We like good preaching that Okay, there has no loward. Okay, yeah,
-
we like it.
-
We do, we do, we do.
-
But here is one of the greatest apostles who said
-
I had no excellence.
-
Of speech.
-
And wisdom. Not only that, I came in weakness, in fear,
-
and he much trembling.
-
Paul, I thought you told us not to fear.
-
Imagine a speaker coming into this place now and he's bald,
-
nothing wrong with that, and he's small, short, and he's trembling,
-
and he's fumbling, and he's not so eloquent, and there's
-
no persuasive words of human wisdom. I think you might immediately,
-
like some of you could be already doing, go to
-
your handphone and your TikTok could be on already. And
-
if I'm speaking to you right now, by the spirit,
-
just repaent wherever you are, because although I can't see you,
-
Jesus can. Yeah. I saw some people putting down their
-
phones already. All right, Yeah, you know church must have
-
three things. Three things. One is celebration. All of us
-
must come to celebrate. Two we must be challenged, and
-
then three there must be changed, right, treacies, they must
-
be changed. So if you're putting down your handphone, praise godard,
-
if you were taking down your taking notes saying okay,
-
forgive me for judging.
-
You're not judging, you have judging?
-
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, amen are scrolling Yeah we're scrollss
-
So yeah, it's very easy to get you off your attention,
-
your attention, your attention spen. They see the attention span
-
of young people are is very bad. Actually adults, adults. Okay,
-
so listen, I'm gonna ask you a question. Now, where
-
is our confidence? If a speaker wasn't eloquent, it's very
-
easy to turn away. Let's not invite him back. Let's
-
not let's not invite apostle Paul back? Whoa yeah, do
-
you think you do that? Let's let's just be honest.
-
Let's food for thought, but be honest for a moment. Okay,
-
this is not a condemnation hour. There is a conviction hour.
-
And I want you to think. Think.
-
I'm going to give you a few more.
-
People have left church and changed church because of many
-
other reasons, accept Jesus.
-
I think some of you have asked the question to
-
your friend before. Actually why you change it?
-
Ah? Yeah? The pastor a very chrong hayman. Okay, very
-
chong hey. Okay, his name is Kenneth at the front
-
and Chong for sea casey. Hey, she is Kenneth Chung Hey.
-
You know I don't okay. I left. I left because
-
he didn't he didn't use enough scripture. Oh so sorry
-
for those of you who needed interpretation, I didn't realize. Yeah,
-
chung hay just means long winded, long winded ky In German,
-
it means long winded. You've left because the worship team
-
doesn't play new songs. He left because the air corn
-
is not cold enough and every time I sit there,
-
I'm sweating. He left because the ushers don't shake my
-
hand with enough genuine passion. You left because the sound
-
system is really, really quite bad, and I struggle to hear.
-
You left because they are hospitality food. It's not up
-
to pan.
-
They're serving, you know, just dry biscuits. You left because
-
the pastor didn't understand me. You left because there is
-
no community. You left because and and and you've asked
-
ten questions, and you've not heard that person say because
-
Jesus wasn't there, so we've left and changed, Or you
-
change to another church and say because the worship is great,
-
not Jesus great, because their singer is really, because they
-
are serious about their music skill, because the pastor preachers well,
-
because he's good looking, because because because their children's program
-
is greater.
-
Did you hear that?
-
Not one word because Jesus is there, or not one
-
word is because Jesus is missing from this church.
-
Now listen very carefully.
-
When you go out from a church or go into
-
a church for any other reason than Jesus, that means
-
you have just proven that your confidence is there. I know,
-
very quiet anybody right now, but I'm giving you food
-
for thought. Think about it. Whereas your confidence, your confidence
-
is in the very thing you're selling. In fact, sometimes
-
where we want to witness to friends, we don't even need,
-
we don't even know where to start. But some people
-
will say, come to my church because my church is
-
really happening. I want to tell you right now, your church,
-
including ex church, did not die for you. The worship
-
being did not die for you. The pastor did not
-
die for you. The new songs did not die for you,
-
the hospitality food did not die for you. All these
-
That's why Paul said, I determined not to know anything
-
among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I needed
-
to bring this message across because I'm telling you, wherever
-
I travel right now, whichever church I go to right now,
-
Jesus is like, you know, his heart is bleeding for
-
what it is that people are really focusing on, you know,
-
and in fact that now I'm seeing more and more
-
preachers need to look good. I think I'm thinking, like,
-
oh god, you know, I don't know. I don't know
-
where I'm going to hit the gym because of my
-
left leg. Even if my left leg was injured, I
-
would not go to the I don't know. And I just, yeah,
-
I work out. I work out using my right hand
-
goes like this, you know. Yeah. I do a lot
-
of bicep curls. Yeah yeah, yeah, that's really helps, you know,
-
because I get.
-
To do like this or so my fingers get their exercise.
-
And no, no, no, I don't hate Jim, but I'm
-
just I'm just thinking, you know, more and more pastors
-
need to look like that. Where by the biceps are
-
bouging up of their of the you know there the sleeves,
-
and I'm thinking.
-
Myself after a while, is that the look?
-
Is that what we go for? And then the shoes
-
are changing. More shoes are not white because white is in.
-
I'm the kind of pastor. The more you wear white,
-
the world more I wear black because I just want
-
to remind myself. But it's not about the white shoe.
-
And then and then depends I must go higher, and no,
-
you leave some spot, and then the socks are cannot
-
be high. One, Hello, my socks are very high today.
-
I'm telling you.
-
I am anti, I said, I'm telling you right now.
-
I tell you because because I want to keep my
-
eyes on Jesus. People wear tight shirt, Lucky Beggy, seriously purposely.
-
I'm doing it purposely. Why you, Lucky, you tell me
-
to follow I will follow Christ and Him alone. You understand,
-
one priss say you know, but I'm looking at I
-
search all the best preachers and the best best meaning
-
the most famous one, and the best churches that happening all.
-
Look the same.
-
That's why people who come up and tell me I
-
am an individual person. I make individual choices. But you
-
look the same like anybody else where, white shoe and
-
tell you tell me you are individual?
-
Thinker?
-
Now you see your whole generation is way white you.
-
How are you individual? Look at me? I'm individual?
-
Are you so so? Silence early because you think I'm
-
talking about somebody I'm not.
-
I just find that when I'm going through it's like
-
so easy to find people that look the same. I
-
think how you idea is sitting down here saying are
-
your pasta? Please carry on because you won't be able
-
to finish the message. But can you see how passion
-
I am about? Listen?
-
Where is Jesus? And where is your confidence?
-
And why you aren't to be talking more about him
-
then talking about styles and the look you understand everybody?
-
Okay, all right?
-
All that is just to keep you awake because this afternoon, okay,
-
very important. I don't mind losing everything at one timer
-
the church. This church was one thousand, five hundred people
-
in one place. Do you know when the camera panza
-
is lovely? You know because when you pan a camera
-
across big or the some, it makes it really cool,
-
really nice feeling. Now and then I'm the pastor, I
-
was the only preacher no at one time for ex
-
church and every Sunday I'm am wow. The camera pans
-
you know, immediately panz are you don't even have to
-
say it. I am a successful pastor because I'm speaking
-
for a one thousand, five hundred people. So it makes
-
you feel but it doesn't make God feel great. It
-
makes your flesh feel great. And then God says, no more,
-
I want you now sitting in front of.
-
Eighty people. Fine, it's fine. It's fine, you know, because
-
it's not about me. It's about price.
-
And the Lord loves to break golden calves down on
-
because we keep building golden calfs. Right. Even aired himself.
-
He's a priest, you know, and they could influence him
-
to bill and you know, he lied. He said, oh,
-
I just threw something in the pool, comes out, don't lie.
-
God was so angry. Moses was angry. He was so
-
angry he broke his tablets. He was supposed to take it,
-
he broke it. I'm just kidding.
-
Sorry.
-
The afternoon, I just trying to keep you guys away, okay,
-
And God give him tw more tablets.
-
Because he had a headache.
-
Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right.
-
Let's move on.
-
Let's move on. A Okay, everybody, okay, next slide? Where
-
is our confidence really? All right? Today? XTV is a
-
little bit faster than me. Uh yeah, I think it's
-
xtiv's way of saying, come on, gearld, gear on with it.
-
You messed up when you're right, first survice, come on okay,
-
rub and okay. And you see one Indian man standing up,
-
so I suddenly my Indian language came out. Okay, but
-
Chukria all right? Where is where is our confidence really?
-
Okay?
-
Next ride?
-
Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth,
-
and the life.
-
Jesus said, I am.
-
So follow me.
-
Stop following trends, styles, stop following happening churches, stop following
-
you know, YouTube, stop following. You know some people will
-
go to four Services or the Sunday on YouTube because
-
you know, my favorite pictures. And okay, if you're doing that,
-
I would to say repent. But you know, if you're
-
if you're learning something, then great, la.
-
But this is the thing.
-
You know a lot of people go through so many
-
because they want to tickle their years. Because I tell
-
you what, this is something I need to warn you.
-
If you listen to the message and you don't live it,
-
you are going to be held accountable for what you heard.
-
So that's why I tell people that don't go from
-
church to church and don't go for one YouTube to
-
now YouTube, because what you just heard a revelation was
-
not meant for you.
-
Maybe you know it was meant for the congregation that
-
that pastor was speaking to.
-
And God knows if you put twenty people there and
-
prepare the pastors had to speak, it is the twenty
-
people within that congregation who needed to hear, and when
-
they hear, they live out. But when you hear everybody,
-
you know that revelation was not for you. And then
-
you go, wow, so good, so good, but you never
-
used it. And God is one day going to say
-
what happened? And then you're going to say, I buried
-
it in the ground. So you're going to be as
-
bad as the guy who got a talent and put
-
it in the ground. Why because you just love to
-
hear good messages. But he's not after just giving you
-
bombarding you good messages. He's say I will give you
-
A live A B live B. I'm not going to
-
give you ABC, and then you already take B A.
-
Then what are you gonna do with BC? You gotta
-
account to God. God. I heard it, but I did nothing.
-
So please be careful what you hear. If you are
-
in this congregation, God will give me the message for
-
the sheep here, right time, right place. Now. Not to
-
say that you cannot go in, go in, but make
-
sure you do this. Take and say, God, You've given
-
me this wonderful revelation. I'm going to live it out
-
because if you don't, then please don't go surfing and
-
don't go scrolling everybody.
-
Okay, there was not in my message. But what I'm
-
saying is that don't follow.
-
All these things are follow one person, Jesus, Amen, next life.
-
The devil is not afraid of any other name but
-
the name of Jesus. You must remember this. He's not
-
afraid of your latest songs. He's not afraid of your
-
church affiliation. When the devil comes to you and say, ah,
-
you say I'm from Exa, you know I'm I'm friends
-
like this like this so close. I'm looking at the
-
camera now, I'm friends like this close. Buddies with the pope. Okay,
-
not the last, but this one, the newest pope. Okay, listen,
-
he was he was, He was ordained he was chosen,
-
he was appointed by white smoke. Okay, can anyone if
-
you get white swom? Was he white smoke? Yeah, white wom,
-
white woman. You don't you don't follow the television news
-
right now? Oh, Albert, that's like this one. Okay, Albert,
-
is that your husband, you're the assistant coordinator you know
-
of ex got the communing and your husband's to keep us.
-
That is not wholly smoke.
-
Okay, okay, anyway, you were chosen by you know, divine appointment.
-
You know, Pope is supposed to be a representative of Christ. Okay,
-
in the Catholic Church when we were part of the
-
Cantic Chuchs, we can't even bite the communion. No, now
-
you're you know once I'm a pleaser, you know, like
-
like eating katang, you know, but those days you're not
-
supposed to bite the communion because the blood will come out. Yeah,
-
catlic Church, don't bite because he's a body of Christ.
-
Don't mess around. Don't mess around. And some people tell
-
you story I beat, Oh I repent because blood came
-
flowing never stopping. Huh wow, of that don't even have
-
to drink drink the wine are not enough, you know,
-
because you won't won't be able to wash your mouth
-
away from all the blood. The devil is not afraid
-
of any other name but the name of Jesus. Don't
-
try to throw the pope's name or your pastor's name.
-
Don't you know that my pastor is Kenneth Chin. He laughed,
-
He laughed. You know. The devil through his agents once
-
said in the Bible, Jesus, I know, Paul, I know,
-
But who are you?
-
Who are you?
-
Do you know? You shouldn't be afraid of that because
-
it's a question.
-
It's a question. Who are you is a question? Answer Lah,
-
Answer I am a child of the living God.
-
Jesus is my savior.
-
You know, answer Rah. But your scared because the devil.
-
Said who are you? And then the fullest could answer.
-
They couldn't answer. You know, Malay, answer goose. I remember
-
last time I was in school now the English English class.
-
But this teacher didn't know, didn't speak so well. So
-
I said, cares, stand up? Stand up? Why you? Why you?
-
Why you know? Don't come on? Why you don't pturn
-
the page? I tell you? Turn the page?
-
You're the wrong page? You know, answer me, answer me?
-
Answer me?
-
Answer means goose. You know, goose, answer me, I said,
-
I know, answer I might you know as a teacher,
-
I'm not a goose. I'm a man. Another time he
-
told my friend this. We were all naughty boys are
-
in school. He told my friend next to me, He said,
-
what do you say? Oh? My friend said to say,
-
you know, okay, the devil is not afraid of any
-
other name but the name of Jesus. That's why a
-
child can also cast out the devil. Because all I
-
need to know is Jesus. I don't know anything else.
-
I told her. Sorry, very quickly.
-
I'll tell you because it's a very powerful story. A
-
man who hung on the cross died and went to heaven,
-
and the angel saw him at the pearly gates and said, welcome.
-
Give me one reason why I should let you enter heaven,
-
and the men begin to start. I let me help you,
-
said the angel. Can you give me the principles of justification?
-
And the man said, just one, Yeah, justification, I've never
-
heard of that. You've never heard of justification. Let me
-
give you another one. Hopefully you can answer this well,
-
give me your thoughts about sanctification. And again the man said,
-
how do you spell that, and then the angel said,
-
you don't know what sanctification is, all right, right, all right,
-
at least tell.
-
Me your church attendance. Okay, let's talk.
-
About faithfulness, because you will hear the Lord saying, well done,
-
my good and faithful servant. So I just want to
-
check whether you've been faithful. I haven't been to church.
-
At least tell me you've been baptized.
-
What's that?
-
And then he said, okay, you seem trouble. And so
-
the angel turned around and called Michael, the angel Mike.
-
This guy, I don't know how he got up here,
-
all right, but he doesn't no signification, justification, never been
-
to church. Then, okay, let me deal with this inje
-
goes Society. Angel Michael now says, why do you think
-
you can enter heaven? And the man said.
-
Quickly that you know, uh is that Michael?
-
Yeah, Mike, I just want to let you know that
-
I was actually hanging on a cross and there were
-
three of us, and there was one guy on the
-
left and one guy on the right, and then there
-
was this guy, this dude that was just so cool
-
and I'm not talking about his hair, and he was
-
right in the center. They called him Jesus and g
-
Jesus is always in the center. And I started like
-
my other friend, ridiculing him because everybody was bringing him down.
-
But every time I turned towards him, I could see
-
love in his eyes. I even heard him say, Father,
-
forgive them, for they don't know what they do. How
-
could you forgive a people that crucify you? So I
-
thought to myself, I changed my mind. Angel. I thought
-
this must be more than a man. And so I
-
scolded the other thief. I said, do you not fear God?
-
Seeing that we are under the same condemnation?
-
And I tried my luck.
-
I turned to this man the center and I said, Lord,
-
remember me when when you enter you know heaven. And
-
this man turned to me and said, surely, I say
-
to you today you will be with me in Paradise,
-
our angel, Michael. That's all I have. The man in
-
the center said I could come, and Mike said, welcome.
-
That's all I needed to hear. Jesus the Way, the Truth,
-
the Life. But why do human beings still live in
-
a way whereby He's not good enough? I can give
-
you one reason, because many of us were not Christians
-
when we were born. We were maybe for a Buddhist
-
background and another religion. And it's not to say they're bad.
-
In fact, when you look at it, it looks good
-
that they want to work for their salvation. They want
-
to do good works, so they put all the wonderful
-
sacrifice on the altar, they go to the temple, they
-
cut themselves, They do anything and everything thing that.
-
Tries to work themselves to salvation.
-
I went to Philippines many many years ago as a missionary,
-
knocked on the door of one of the houses. They
-
allowed me in. I started to preach the Gospel to them,
-
and the man, being a Catholic, said, I'm okay, because
-
we Catholics believe in purgatory. Purgatory just means that there
-
are various levels in hell, and uh well, some people
-
call it hell, some people can just call it below.
-
And I can work. And if people are praying for me,
-
and that's why a lot of family members pray, they
-
say Hail Mary full of great you know, they say
-
the Hail Mary, and and they go. And the more
-
they do this, the more they are praying for the dead,
-
and they will get the rise. That's one way of
-
doing it, I said, my dear brother, because I know
-
that he knows Jesus. I said, if you believed in
-
purgatory that you can work yourself up, Jesus never had
-
to die. But we always think that Jesus is too
-
simp a message to free. Huh, sure not free. So
-
we can't take that. Our system, our human system, in
-
our brain cannot comprehend that. Surely. I think that was
-
a problem with the servants who were all the master
-
much money. The Master forgave him much, but he.
-
Couldn't believe it.
-
I really believe that was the servant's problem, and that's
-
why he went out. He looked for a servant who
-
owed him a little bit and say pay me back.
-
And that servant told this servant, have mercy on me,
-
and I'll pay you back, the same words that he
-
used to the Master. Have mercy on me, and I'll
-
pay you back. Some of us really don't understand how
-
much we have been forgiven, and so until today we
-
still try.
-
Our hardness to find back money to pay him back.
-
And what seemed to be innocent actually was evil if
-
we don't believe for his full one hundred grace, which
-
is remember I told you this before, and I'll tell
-
you again, salvation is only by grace, only by faith
-
only in Christ, by faith, by grace only Christ. Okay,
-
this is the Gospel versays, you cannot come to God
-
any other way. Your money will not save you, your
-
good works will not save you. Right, but we have
-
been bombarded by so many religions before that we think
-
in our mind. Somewhere at the back of my mind
-
is that I have to do it. And only if
-
I serve God more, gift to God more, will I
-
be accepted. So let me just tell you this. The
-
devil is not afraid of any other name but the
-
name of Jesus. Can I hear a good amen? So
-
in my four months of recovery, the Lord has spoken
-
to me many times. I think I got about fifty
-
mini messages over five months now, and one of it
-
is seen in the next slide. Uh. You know, Uh,
-
One day early in my recovery, not only was my
-
left foot immobile, my right leg was totally used up
-
so much show that my knee, my right knee was swollen.
-
I found myself on the ground, unable to pick myself up.
-
My wife hurt me. You know, I don't know where
-
I was screaming. I wasn't. I was just saying, ah,
-
I don't know, something like that. And then she came up,
-
saw me on the ground, try to pick me up.
-
I said, don't need to send I don't want you
-
to hurt yourself anyway. I think I told you the story,
-
so I'll do very quickly. It was there that the
-
devil whispered to me. And I tell you this, any
-
of you will get the devil whispering to you. All
-
kinds of things are especially when you're down. When you're up,
-
he doesn't bother. That's why in America they did a
-
survey that pastors shouldn't take their day off on Monday.
-
But we do and I do because we're very aware
-
what Monday could mean, what Monday met, what Monday meant.
-
For this survey that was done, this research that was
-
done in America is that a pastor usually feels cloud
-
nine on Sunday because we preach well, we sang well,
-
we prayed well, and people who come up to us
-
and say, great message, pasta change my life, blah blah blah.
-
So we are on cloud nine and the devil doesn't
-
touches on Sunday one. The pastors up, but the same
-
pastor who's up on Monday now feels he can do anything.
-
He can watch anything, he can go into anything, to
-
any YouTube, you know. Because I'm so up, the app
-
will keep me from falling. Do not even depend on
-
the spiritual high you get on Sunday. Don't depend on that. Also,
-
your dependency and my dependency must always be on Jesus.
-
So the reason why many passes fell is because they
-
shouldn't have watched what they watched on Monday. They should
-
have heard what they heard on Monday. They should have
-
gone to places day because they thought they had a shield.
-
They thought they were Superman, or in Indonesia's Superman, you know,
-
but superman. They thought they thought I have a shield.
-
But the shield is not Jesus. The shield is a
-
good feeling. So the devil is very smart. He's done
-
this for years. I'm not the first pastor. There's been
-
thousands and thousands and thousands of pastors, and many of
-
them have fallen because the devil isn't afraid of anything else.
-
He's not afraid of any shield, but the shield of Christ.
-
You always see with me. So the devil whispered to
-
my ear and said, you are so faithful to God.
-
He still allows you to be injured. Wonderful God, yourself
-
are in just whispering. You know, faithful God, you have
-
a faithful godder Ah, your faithful God can't even stop
-
you from getting a you know, a broken heel. I
-
tell you, I started crying because somewhere in his whispers
-
feels like there's some truth. And it is the truth
-
that makes you cry because you don't want to believe
-
it's true. But praise God. The Lord began to speak
-
to me. He took over the devil's place, and he says,
-
I think you know. I can imagine God saying, get out, devil.
-
Oh no, let me speak to my son. And God says, Kenneth,
-
even though you're injured, do you still love me? I said, yes, yes, Lord,
-
I love you. And then God said to me, Kenneth,
-
even though you're injured, I still love you, and I
-
will never change my love for you. Now the enemy
-
will whisper.
-
And so this new sop that.
-
Came my way was like this. God said, the next time, Kenneth,
-
when the devil comes and whisper to you, tell him
-
he's not supposed to do that. He's like a company that, Rachel,
-
you are the head of your company. You have sps
-
in your company or no, And sometimes people who come
-
in strangers are coming there. You don't allow strangers to
-
just come into your company and speak to your staff
-
sell things to them. No, if they want a speaker,
-
they will speak with a manager or whoever you assigned,
-
or to you, because you know so from today onwards.
-
Are the Devil's not my boss? Jesus is?
-
And Jesus say, is that the next time the devil
-
comes in whispers to you, are you send him to
-
me and I tell you what it's work. No, the
-
l last the last five months. No, when the devil
-
whispers are hey, you think you I said, devil, talk
-
to Jesus. Some of you say, speak to the hand.
-
But that's not powerful enough. Speak to the hand. I say,
-
speak to the man, but you know that I just
-
kick quiet. Okay, you talk to him first, and if
-
the Lord wants to talk to me, he will tell me.
-
And so it's so much easier now, and you know
-
the devil's voice. The devil is there here to discourage you,
-
here to deny you, here to make you feel down depressed,
-
seek you know, here to lie to you. He's the
-
father of lies. So I just tell him, devil, don't
-
waste your time. I'm watching Liverpool play. So uh. There
-
is a new boss, you see, and he's already given
-
all all of us, all of us children have been
-
told by the Lord. You ain't you. You don't have
-
the authority to come directly to us. Sorry, but speak
-
to the man, and I tell you what. It's been good.
-
It's been good because the devil very rarely was to
-
go and speak to Jesus. Do you understand what I'm saying?
-
Okay, holy communion? Today we did Holy comedians.
-
Our want has very quickly talked to you about holy communion.
-
And then I will draw to the last lap. Now
-
what does the Bible say Jesus said this all right?
-
Or rather let me let me let me change first.
-
Corinthians eleven, twenty three, twenty six. Paul said this, for
-
I received from the Lord that which I also delivered
-
to you. That the Lord Jesus, on the same night
-
in which he was betrayed, took bread, and when he
-
had given thanks, he broke it and said, take eat.
-
This is my body which is broken. For you do
-
this in remembrance of me first time remembrance of me.
-
Then he says, in the same manner, he also took
-
the cup after supper, saying, this cup is the new
-
covenant in my blood.
-
This do as often as you drink it in remembrance
-
of me.
-
Second time. Now, I don't want to make the story
-
long just to say that I don't believe that Jesus
-
kept telling us to remember him because he thought, as Christians,
-
we are people of amnesia. Okay, that suddenly you will
-
forget Jesus if this week we don't have convenient because
-
he said take it as often.
-
So for me, I take it every morning.
-
Okay, every time I'm finished, I tell Shirley, Sherley, can
-
I have thirty more of the cups, and so she
-
gives to me. And then, of course I'm away to
-
celebrate my anniversary this week and also my birthday, so
-
I told Sherley, please, I need to take the cups
-
with me also because I need to do it when
-
I'm on holiday. So I'll do my quiet time and
-
I and it's very very, very very powerful, but I
-
take communion. I remember Christ I remember what he's done.
-
I remember that he exchanged his life from my life.
-
He exchanged his righteousness for my sin. He exchanged his
-
or health for my sickness. He exchanged his strength for
-
my weakness, his light for my darmkness. I can go
-
on and on, but I already share with you the
-
last time I was here. So you heard that message
-
the last time. So there's this great redemption. And the
-
way I apply into my life is I take the
-
bread and I take the cup. I apply everything that
-
Christ has done for me, and everything that is off
-
me has gone to the cross. So every morning I
-
go through this exchange, and I say, I don't have
-
to be sick because my leg is no longer. My
-
leg is Christ Christ's lig So I take Christ's click,
-
I put it into my leg and I get healing.
-
You know, with me, my fear is no longer my fear.
-
I take his faith, put it into me. He exchanged
-
and he takes away my fear everyway. Okay, So that's
-
what communion is. Is very very powerful. But why did
-
he say remember me? Is it because you always forget him? No,
-
but you might forget to give him the glory that
-
is I believe the reason why. It's almost like when
-
you're taking taking communion gee, Jesus is crying out saying,
-
canneth remember me, because you know why the whole week
-
I'm talking about my church, my church, my church, my
-
worship leader, the new song, the new song canne then
-
you take a mena It is me right, Oh yeah, Lord, Sorry,
-
I've been too fascinated with the latest in the day
-
in the mighty Name of Jesus song. Do you know
-
you can be fascinated with a Jesus song but not
-
fascinated with Jesus because we can, we can love the
-
music but not the master. So every time we take
-
it or it's not because it's X. It's not because
-
our preacher is really good. It's not because our pastor
-
is good looking. It's not because the worship team was
-
so good. It's not because Passandra as a og leader.
-
You know, every time she takes her mic, you know,
-
the whole of heaven opens. Uh. It's not. She's really
-
good and also pretty and she chose to marry well,
-
But it's not. It's not because my father is a pastor,
-
reverend Pope Jesus through every communion cries out, it's me,
-
it's me. I need to go to hill songs. It's me,
-
I think I want to go and worship at Bethel.
-
You know, because it's me. Oh, Stephen means me. Oh
-
TDJ is me. Oh I got safe through Billy grahams
-
Mee's me. You understand it's me because so many of
-
us can put our confidence in so many things and
-
forget there's just one thing. Light. The whole essence of
-
discipleship is found in these two words. Okay, guys, with
-
this hour draw to a close, all right, last lap now,
-
because I want you to see how when you get
-
the right focus, when you put your confidence in the
-
right thing and in this case, the right person, you.
-
Will be able to follow the right thing.
-
Follow me. Okay again, it's not follow x. It's not
-
followed the doctrine. It is not for you know, you
-
didn't even say follow the Bible. Follow me. The whole
-
of the Bible is in the person. In the beginning
-
was the word, The word was with God. The word
-
was God. All right, you can read that Jesus is
-
the Word made flesh. Follow him and man, all right. Next, light,
-
Paul said, imitate me as I immitate Christ.
-
Very important.
-
I want you to understand this because by the time
-
I'm finished with this message today. My desire is not
-
just you. Focus on Christ all the time, even in
-
your complaints. Focus on Him, even on your leck, focus
-
on him, even on people's leg focus on him. Okay, Mike, sure, Now,
-
why is that important to us? Because you are supposed
-
to follow him, meaning you and I are to be
-
the Christ here on earth to others. Okay, let me
-
just make sure I get this correct. Now, let's look
-
at the next light, and let's very quickly read the
-
scripture found in Acts three Tree to child, who, seeing
-
Peter and John about to go to the temple, ask
-
for arms. You all know this, the gate called beautiful,
-
and fixing his eyes on him with John, Peter said,
-
look at us. People ran together to them in the
-
porch which is called Solomon's greatly abas. So when Peter
-
saw it, he responded to the people men of Israel,
-
why do you marvel at this? Or why look so
-
intensely at us, as though by our own power of
-
godliness we had made this man walk. Now, listen, this
-
is what I want to make sure you get. Gonna
-
I'm gonna try my very best. I'm gonna ask the
-
Holy Spirit to help me now because this next five
-
to ten minutes is crucial. Why do you need to
-
get your eyes on Jesus because what happened in this
-
particular story is there are two opposing, seemingly opposing.
-
Phrases or instructions.
-
Now, before I go in there, let me tell you
-
something else I told the eight fifteen Am service, which
-
is very important in my time with the Lord. The
-
Lord has also said to me, Kenneth, when you pray,
-
don't try to pray around the world and then end
-
within Jesus name, Amen, and end so quickly that I
-
can't hear it. Neither can the devil hear it. How
-
many of you don't lift up your hands you would
-
confess that you also pray like that. The name of
-
Jesus is always at the end.
-
And not only that.
-
The longer we are Christian, the longer our prayer is
-
because we have gained vocabulary. That's why you ask a
-
younger Christian to pray and they say they're scared, they
-
don't know how to pray. Actually, it's not that they
-
know how pray. Are they're not confident. You know why
-
they're not confident because they heard you pray. And actually
-
it was supposed to be only twenty seconds. You prayed
-
for twenty minutes. You took the prayer plane. Now everybody
-
can pray, and you went past Chang Mai, went into Shanghai,
-
you went around, you know, to wherever it is, Greenland
-
or Iceland. You came back down the Americas and then
-
you went now to Botswana, thinking that you visit pass Lazarez.
-
And then you cross India and said hi to mother
-
three's you know, fun fact, she's no longer around.
-
She's in heaven. Not fun fact, but you know fact.
-
And then you landed. He said, okay, I A. You
-
landed in Sumak airport. And then you said, in Jesus,
-
all right. And sometimes it's really I mean, I've heard
-
really good prayers and we get so caught up.
-
Now, Lord, we thank you.
-
With all our hearts. We thank you, Oh God. We
-
are grateful, so grateful to you for the justification that
-
we have experienced through Christ. And from there God, we
-
have learned to be sanctified. And now we are waiting
-
to be glorified. And Lord Jesus, we now pray for
-
Malaysia that is in the world, and we pray for
-
our Prime minister that you know Oh, that the fear
-
of God will come and saturate his heart. Oh. Now
-
you're just passing by American and you go into India,
-
Lord will thank you.
-
Even the language change.
-
And about twenty minutes go by, and you could feel
-
all the eyes like dagger stabbing you from the bag because.
-
You've gone beyond lunch. Now that was only just to
-
say grace, you know, just to say grace.
-
Your food is all cold, your fish and chips, the
-
fish has go back into the queryo swimming again. And
-
then you end because you know it's it's you dick
-
it too long. You end very quickly. Interest's name, Amen?
-
And then somebody sorry, what name is it? Jos Show's name?
-
I heard you say Jason's name, Jesson's name. You say Jason, No,
-
I say Jesus name. Amen, very fast. Love not understanding
-
is the last bit that makes your prayer. The devil
-
wasn't even hearing the first partner. Because you can get
-
from Chech Gibt.
-
Do you understand? Do you want a really good prayer?
-
Chech Jipt can give it to you. But you know
-
what happened.
-
I learned from the Lord that the people of all
-
the apostles often prayed in Jesus name first, so food
-
for thought. He looked at the man who was seated
-
there begging, not being able to walk, and Peter said,
-
in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up
-
and walk.
-
You see the prayers so short, rise up and walk.
-
But he started, I got other scriptures that will show
-
you that even Paul pray like that in the name
-
of Jesus. You want the devil to know whose name
-
you're praying first, don't go around the universe.
-
And then said, interest the damn He's like, you know,
-
the devil go you sneeze.
-
You are you with me? That means that those people
-
who pray like that also, And I know I know
-
from today always you're gonna be so conscious of your
-
prayer because pastors said and so you know you're not
-
gonna want to say in Jesus David anymore. Everyone want
-
to say it the begain no, no, no, you can
-
say it, and let me have a disclaimer. Okay, don't
-
be so conscious and when you really get guided and
-
let but the hold speed to pray longer. Prayers are
-
five minutes you oh yo, are you sorry? And people
-
are all laughing around you, and then that get said, no,
-
the please are I didn't mean that. I didn't mean
-
for you from today always to go like I don't
-
know how to pray. Deal. I don't pass made fun
-
of you. No, I didn't make fun I'm just telling
-
you that all the front part. If you are that
-
kind of prayer, if you are the kind of prayer prayer,
-
if you are the kind of prayer, then maybe you
-
depend on your language too much because you think that
-
it is your That's what Jesus said, right, You don't
-
be so repetitive. There's got people think that they are
-
heard for their repetition. So I give you advice. Pray
-
in the name of Jesus first, and pray and just
-
cover both sides. How about that?
-
Okay, I want to teach you someboding here. Look at us.
-
A lot of Christians don't know this XTV. Just wait
-
to hit that way back. You know, I didn say anything.
-
I didn't say anything. There's power moving right there, just
-
staying here. Hey, he said already, because when he's sending
-
up I can see him. Do you know that in
-
our discipleship life, many of us don't dare say look
-
at us because we think it's blasphemy. We think it's pride.
-
But you know how the men got healed the day
-
he got healed by following instructions, and the instruction was
-
not look at Jesus. The instruction was look at us. Now.
-
That's why even while you're sitting here, most of you
-
are looking at me, all right, And it's important that
-
you look at me, because if you didn't have to
-
look at me, I could preach on the back.
-
No of you just looking there is.
-
A voice, the voice right worship leader also has to
-
leave from the front, otherwise next week you'll just leave
-
from the back. There is something about our responsibility here
-
on earth to be the Christ. I know just by
-
saying the Christ is all I get stolen, right, But
-
to be the Christ that other people don't know can't see.
-
Are you also with me?
-
Very important disciples ship. If you really want to see
-
work and make it work, you've got it's got to
-
be look at us.
-
First.
-
That family that went to your house and suddenly the
-
baby stopped crying because of the peace of God in
-
your house, you have to invite to your house first.
-
You didn't say I take you to the House of
-
Jesus uh, your friends who go to mana dou mau
-
my house. Now, what will happen is that you are
-
so effective at being the disciple of Christ, so effective
-
at being the agent of Christ, so effective being the
-
very one that when people look at they see something
-
that will help them, that people now want to look
-
at you. So therefore comes the second statement, why do
-
you look at us? This too, ladies and gentlemen. Before
-
I close, this message must be a balance in our lives,
-
because I see more and more people say, hey, you
-
know the why look at the bastad, Why look at
-
the bustad? Why look at you know? Why look at
-
the judge? No, listen, there is a place for look
-
at us. And then remember the next light comes at XTV.
-
Already showed it, but they will show it again, and
-
this time for longer at XTV in Marajo now because
-
they don't want to move.
-
The problem is not look at us, Rachel. The problem
-
is not look at us.
-
Right. That's why when you go and train all the
-
light bulb people, you gotta say, look at us, look
-
at me. You don't just go around said don't know
-
at me, Ah, I'm dancing behind Uh you know, No, mirrors.
-
Okay, don't look it, No, just look at Jesus when
-
you're dancing.
-
There is a look at Us that everyone in this
-
room has got to be confident of this. There is
-
a place of look at me, and no one here
-
in this room should be have trouble with that. The
-
trouble is if you continue to look at me. So
-
after you look at me and you get your healing,
-
now that you want to worship me, I said, don't
-
worshy me. I am also a man when you pay
-
attention to me, because I wanted to give something to you.
-
See if and God I have I none but what
-
I have I give you. I give you Jesus. But
-
after that you gotta look at him.
-
You get that acts three sixteen says and his name,
-
through faith in his name, has made this man strong. Listen,
-
there was two statements on the very first line. Can
-
you can you catch it? First? It's his name, that
-
is faith in his name. It often takes two hands
-
to clap, you know. The Bible doesn't put words there
-
for no reason or no If it was just only Jesus,
-
then his name has made this man strong.
-
But the apostle under the anointing of the Holy Spirit
-
said his name.
-
There's some one.
-
But through faith. You have to have faith. You have
-
your faith. I have to have faith.
-
I'm preaching right here hopefully that when you are listening
-
to me, looking at me, you will get him, not me.
-
But what can happen is that when people don't have
-
the why do you look so intently at us? And
-
so all the time is just look at me, And
-
that's where the danger is that that's where people fall.
-
Okay, all right, so let's go on, let's move on.
-
There's a bit more. There's a bit more.
-
Once we are confident in Christ, this is what I
-
want to get to, then we will also be confident
-
to be used for Christ. And that is the crux
-
of this message. Once we are confident in Christ, then
-
we will also be confident to be used for Christ.
-
You see, if your confidence is in your pastor, then
-
there will be no power because if you want to
-
be used for your pastor, there's no power. If your
-
confidence is in the music, is in the bands, in
-
the song, there's no power. So get get the confidence correct.
-
First is in Christ. But what what that must do
-
to you and me is to be confident to be
-
used for Christ. All right, pass and rack. Can you
-
just reach out in my bag and bring in my
-
bring bring my yellow glove and with I'll close. Okay,
-
thank you, this one, thank you so much. Okay, not mine?
-
I have both? Okay, fine, Oh what do you give me?
-
Okay?
-
This one fine?
-
All right, new gloves I just bought.
-
Okay, all right. The Bible says we are made in
-
God's image. Does this look like a hand? Yeah?
-
One thumb, four fingers okay, and made to look like
-
a hand.
-
That is it a hand?
-
Are you sure?
-
Are you sure?
-
Made in God's image?
-
Uh a?
-
Come on, come for for please, I will show you
-
what this hand can do. Look at me, huh.
-
Okay, turn around. I'm gonna massage you, all right. I
-
won't take long. Okay, you feel it?
-
Do you feel it?
-
No wasting my time. I'm gonna massage you on your life.
-
You know, you know how many Christians go around that
-
we look like the hand, but we're not the hand.
-
We think we can do a lot. Okay, can you
-
shake my hand? Just shake? Hey, strong handshake? Come on,
-
I mean I'm meant I told you, I mean you
-
shake handshakes wrongly. I don't feel anything a bit properly
-
to properly. So basically, this hand cannot shake that all right,
-
let me try to pray for you. The Bible says,
-
lay hands. Mhm, lay hands.
-
My head felt out?
-
Is it? Okay?
-
Thank you so much.
-
There was a lawyer who said, you know, look like
-
the hand, sound like the hand, but not the hand.
-
Now it looks like the hand. Yeah, it does, but
-
it has no power until the real hand comes in.
-
And some of you have seen this illustration. I will
-
do it anyway. How many of you think that if
-
I fill this hand with tissue, it can start doing
-
what it couldn't do earlier.
-
Tissue?
-
Maybe maybe the tsue represents new songs. May maybe maybe
-
two tissues represents a good preacher two tissues, or maybe
-
three tissues represents the latest Bible out there.
-
Oh, hand is feeling.
-
I'm no, I think it's going to be able to
-
do it now or me be church attendance. My church
-
attendant is very faithful, or maybe serving the lot while thinking?
-
So many you know, sorry, are those of you who
-
love trees? Because I think it's feeling. I'm no, it's feeling. Wow.
-
Oh now I really look the part.
-
Okay, but I think I think I can do it
-
now because I've got everything that I need, church membership,
-
all that I got, and then I give to missions.
-
I think I think I got it. I think I
-
got it, thank God it and I just came here
-
for missions as well. All right, this is wanted for sure?
-
You feel okay? Good, my such I'm gonna give you
-
nice nice huh?
-
Not nice? Okay?
-
Left? Let's I think sometimes okay, because left hand I
-
can only work what left? Sid h pinch your bum?
-
Can you feel the pinch? No? Okay, never mind you seated?
-
Thank you so much? Okay. A lot of us try
-
to say look mean, but actually what is needed as
-
I close? Oh? So many tissue? Maybe I should keep it.
-
Let me just keep it up so that I would
-
be responsible.
-
As I close.
-
People listen, Jesus, Jesus, Yeah, no, no, it's okay. I
-
can put because I can hold this microphone. Yeah. My
-
wife likes to give me another hand, so everybody keeps
-
that my hand, okay, Jesus, the only hand that could fit,
-
because I was made for this hand and now oh
-
it fits, Rachel, it fits. Actually, I want to call
-
you out. When I knew I couldn't message you. You
-
know you know what I'm saying because my wife is here. No, no, no,
-
my wife not here, so I can a message.
-
Okay, okay, hello, Hello. Do you see Jesus?
-
Of course not.
-
You see the glove? Look at us?
-
You don't.
-
The glove by yourself cannot do anything.
-
I am the vine. You are the branches. Without me,
-
you can do nothing. And yet we go around trying
-
to do things right because we look like the hand,
-
because we put see us, and you like you look
-
like the head. But after you put the glove, you
-
put you, you put, you put Christ in you the
-
hope of glory. You can't see Christ, you can see
-
the hand, but they will come. Last time, I promise,
-
even though you are the Holy smoke guy. I always remember. Okay, brother,
-
all right, all right, brother, all right, in the name
-
of Jesus. Right, Jesus won't do it without us. But
-
before he can use us that he has to enter
-
and we nothing else will do. In fact, if I
-
had anything else, is that here the glove might not
-
fit as though because it fits perfectly.
-
Come come on and enjoy it.
-
Huh.
-
Remember when you win.
-
The competition in South Africa, I had a lot to
-
do with it. Okay, yeah, because I just released all
-
this tension. Okay, all right, Albert, Albert high five. Oh
-
my word, does a sound?
-
Try try this word?
-
Okay, handshake, handshake, Oh my word. We now feel the
-
warmth the love.
-
All right, Praise God, good good?
-
Amen? Fisbe Oh are we going to fisbum? Try fiz one?
-
We just one? Okay, paidfool. I don't paidfool. Sorry, all right, God,
-
bless you, so let me close, Let me close, Lord,
-
I thank you as I still wear this glove. That
-
it's true that, as disciples of Jesus, the reason why
-
there's slow power in our lives is because it could
-
be that we have filled ourselves with so many other
-
things except the hand of the man that can make
-
the difference. Or could it be that we refuse to
-
be the glove that people see, and we keep taking
-
it off.
-
You see, we keep.
-
Taking it off. It's quite hard to take up from
-
my hand. Now that's sweaty.
-
By way, Try and take it off my hand.
-
Because the love of Christians go and I'll say no,
-
not me, not me, don't let me, no, not me,
-
don't know me.
-
Look at Jesus look.
-
At Jesus, and you can't see Jesus because he is
-
not here. He's seated at the right hand of her Father.
-
And he says, go into all the world and preach
-
the gospel. He he wants to He wants to be
-
in us, and he wants to have us come and
-
abide in him as He abides in us. So for
-
the last time, I want to say this to you,
-
don't be a glove that goes around either with nothing
-
or a glove that goes around filled up with other things.
-
Because you and I were made in the image of God,
-
and only God fits. Nothing else will satisfying, nothing else
-
would do. Only God, Jesus Christ fits. Put your confidence
-
in him. That's my first point. And then have confidence
-
to be used by him. Learn from Peter the secret
-
of going out there to say, look at us. Because
-
the first thing your friends see is not Jesus. The
-
first thing your friends see is a yellow glove. But
-
as soon as the yellow glove begins to move into
-
their lives, handshake high five, putting your hand over their
-
head to pray for them. As soon as you begin
-
to say look at Us. And then when the miracle happens,
-
you remember to say, why do you look at us
-
so intently as though we did this. No, it's his name,
-
Faith in his name.
