You're listening to a message to go from ex Church.

We hope this message will light up your tea.

So I'm gonna invite you this morning to come into

the secret Place, all right? Can I invite you to

come into the secret place? Hallelujah? And I want to

encourage us from Matthew chapter six. Amen. Matthew Chapter six

is a familiar verse. These are not unfamiliar. These are

verses you've probably read before. But this morning, I just

want to deal with this one thing called the secret place,

all right, And here you go x Matthew chapter six,

and starting from verse five all the way to verse eight,

and then I'll focus in. All right. So the context,

says Jesus is the words in the words in your

Bible in red, because that's the words of Jesus reading

the red color words. Okay, the color the Jesus words.

He says, Jesus is saying, and when you pray, you

shall not be like the hypocrites, for they love to

pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of

the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly,

I say to you, they will have their reward. But

you everyone saying to your name of you. You tell

a name of you. Amen. Okay. When you pray, call

into your room, all right, And when you have shut

your door, pray to your father who is in the

secret place. And your father, who sees in secret, will

reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use

vain repetitions as the heathen do, for they think that

they will be heard for the many words verse eight. Therefore,

don't be like them. For your father knows the things

that you need of you need of before you ask him. Amen.

I won't be doing the lot spread today. I just

want to go and focus on one thing just to

encourage us church, all right, And so Matthew six verse eight,

Jesus is talking about praying. Amen, And in your mind,

what do you think prayer means? One is pray, one

is praying. And so I just want to focus in

on Matthew sixty six, which says when but you, when

you pray, go into your room, and when you have

shut your door. You can use my slide actually because

I've underlined the words. Then all right, So when you

go into your room, and when you have shut your door,

pray to your father who is in the secret place,

and your father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Wow.

So he's the father who sees in secret because he

is the father who is in the secret place, and

then he sees you in secret. But when he rewards you,

he rewards you openly. Amen. And so we're talking about

when you pray. We want to encourage the church today,

all of us as children of God, as believer us.

Where are we in our prayer life? Are we really revived?

And are we on fire? Now? Though there is traffic,

gems and all there, we have press services, we have

the what we call temple prayer. Don't think of Goody's temple.

What we meaning temple means gathering of the saints every

two times a month to pray. Now the numbers aren't great,

but people are still coming. Because traffic and all that,

you can't come. But do you even think about the

fact we announce every time to your homes. He there's

press service now people flock for prayer. When there's revival,

people come. So I don't think we're in that kind

of revival. I think we're caught up with many things.

We're busy. We have other things are more important. But

preys seems to be and it is very evident just

by the way we live. So Church, I have to

speak the hard word. I can't give you susue all

the timer. Every time you drink milk, you cannot grow.

You know, you have to have some meat, all right,

So I'm giving you light meat today. Now it's really

not a sixteen ounce meat or whatever stake, but there's

some kind of meat. So don't stop me like me,

all right, all right? So I want to say to us,

because the Holy Spirit will not tell us to go

into a forty day to ex Church because he knows

that he's preparing us for something more. How can God

use ex Church further? We need to prepare. And so

that's why I'm inviting all of you, all of ex Church,

across the whole Clang Valley, come into a time of prayer.

Whether you take a day to pray, one week or

forty days, whether you fast, would you commit to pray?

And so I want to help you get started, he says.

When he did not say if you pray, come on,

people say when come on? When tell a neighbor it's

not if it's not if you pray, you will pray

you will pray when you prayer, not if you pray. See,

we will pray to something. If it's not Jesus, you're

gonna pray to something else. Ah ah nah, we will pray.

We'll pray to the Kong. Lah will pray to our baby.

We'll pray to our money. Yeah. Who are you praying to? Yeah?

Your boyfriend. They may love my fire. No, you say, Jesus,

like my fire, because baby ain't gonna like your fire.

He's only a man. She's only a woman. She ain't

no fire. You only need holy spirit fire, all right,

the fire, the holy ghost. So when you pray, not

if you pray, so God, Jesus never, this is red words,

Jesus said, When so, tell, remind yourself it's not an

He knows we want to pray. When you pray, rand

and Sis says, when you pray the beloved here, the

Lord loves your beloved. When you pray, he says, go

into your room and then you must shut the door,

all right, and then you pray to your father who

then for so long any I only noticed this recently,

in the secret. Our father is in the secret? Why

is in the secret? And he tells us that he

sees in the secret, and so there must be something

about this. And then while he sees you in the secret,

herey wards you openly everybody can see your blessing. Wow.

So what does it mean? So I bring you through

the Greek word? Give you some basics first, So he says,

when you pray, number one, pray. So we're talking about prayer,

So pray. What is the Greek original word on this

word pray? There will be other times you'll see pray

will use another Greek word, but this word in Matthew

sixty six, this pray is proskomai. Prosukomai is to offer press.

It means intercession. It means submission, It means confession. Also

it means petition, like petitional, Lord, right, help me, Lord,

this is our need. I'm praying for pass the cat's dead,

having cans a lot petitioning the lord. Supplication also means

that petition to supply, to pray over that need, and

then simply means pray prosu komai. Here is to be

what kind to pray, to be in submission, to have confession.

It is a kind of prayer that connects you to

the Father about a relationship. I'll come back to that,

but I just want to give you the Greek word

when you say pro sokomai, it's about intercession. It's talking

to God. Is bringing your heart in submission. It's confession. Time.

Tell him how it is, what it is you're petitioning

at different times. You're supplicating, suppli my supplicate to add

on to to supplicate for someone, and bring my supplications

to the Lord. And simply another word when you think

pray is that I pray very hard, work to do

very hard. Wow, okay, pray pro soco mine to have

that meaning. And then he says, going to your room.

It is the NKJB, so going to your room, and oh,

King James, I think it's going to your closet. And

the word is I don't know. I'm not Greek. Demion

all right, damion, which means going to the inner chamber,

the inner chamber of your house, okay, all right, to

the true whres your room? A secret room? Do you

have a secret room? A storage, a pantry, maybe a storeroom? Maybe? Ah,

but that's the meaning. And so a corner tastes a

meaning that is a very un inner chamber. It's away

from everything else. You don't go to the storeroom and

you don't have peanut, go lada, all right? No, right,

you know you don't have teater. You go to your

patio and the wind is blowing or you know, but

to the storeroom, to the storage, a secret room. Pass

And I have prayer rooms. We have our own prayer rooms.

We have enough space to prayer rooms, so we have

different prayer rooms. We go there every day that it's

the same place we go to meet Jesus. So you

might have a corner. It could be a corner with

a special chair that you put in your house. So

I also have a corner that will go to if

I want to sit down with the word and pray.

You could have a corner. Some people told me toilet

because they rent room, right are you also many people?

But they have a toilet, then go into it. I

hold it not pulling it very hard, all right? So

a room. So the loss is going to a go

into that secret place, go into that room, inner chamber.

I'll come back to this, but I just want to

give you the meaning. Just picture it, all right. And

then he says the inner chamber. And then he says,

you go into your room, you lock the door, you

close the door, and then your father, who is in

the secret or secret place, he will see you. The

word secret is cryptos, and this is where you get

the English word cryptic. Crypt what cryptic puzzle or something

like okay, cryptic, So it secret cryptos means he done

concealed secret inwardly the inside. So I put this together

and I bring to you, bring forward to you to say,

prayer is more than just a list of needs, but

a relationship we can grow into with Jesus. So what

is prayer in this context of Matthew sixty six a relationship?

Why then do we need to go into the inner chamber?

Then he sees us in the secret and then we

are pro supermmed. We're talking to him, bringing our hearts

to him. So prayer, because we can talk about prayer

that it's so many areas of prayer. But today I

want to bring before you and to encourage you if

you have not been doing so, need the Holy Spirit.

Take this word and release a fire in your heart

to come to the Father. Prayer is more than just

a list. If every morning you only wake up and say, Lord,

thank you, bless me, Grant me favored my work, protect

me from any accident as I drive in a jam place.

Grant me favor with my boss. All good, good, and well.

You pray and you're asking the Lord, you say, I

need you. That's that's one area of prayer. There is

a praying through the needs. But I want you to

be encouraged to know that God isn't just a list God.

He is a relational God. That's why we have a

relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. And through Jesus we reached.

We can, we can come into the faith of God.

We can. He's very mighty God. Okay, I do not

explain or he's so big. It is through this relationship

with the Lord and the relationship that God is calling

us into is the only other way I can give you.

An example is that how you relate with someone you

are in love with. It it's the most pretty and

beautiful picture when someone's in love like the one not

married yet, because after you marry, it's another thing. It's

a mature life that over years it becomes stronger. But

not every day. I'm marketing consol shine. Yeah, take the

socks and put it there. Last time, my husband said,

I opened the doors so big and the echon not

going out of the room there like just a few minutes.

I'm just texting and going down again to watch the

place there. You were, like, I kind of answer that

you never get this on you're dating, you marry. It's

a whole maturing love. But when you're in love, you

want to spend time. You can't wait to finish work

and get together. Can you remember those days men and

women married. You have energy to do. You're like superman,

super woman. You can do more than you imagine just

to end the day and to meet this person. And

then you get married. My god daughter got married last

Yesday evening and I look at the young couple, m

beautiful of all in love, get married like all the declarations.

And then I will say, tell me about it after

two years, because I ask you to repeat back the

same boss, I'll love you forever. I'll be your best friend,

I'll watch football with you. You'll all declare all these

things that you do. You know, even what you're saying

you cannot fulfill. You think. Look there is a married,

mature man because you stood there. Because I listened to

all of ours. I go through everybody's vouth and get real,

because the only vows that metters that I will go

with you to thick and thin to death. Do us part.

Put richer up world. That's a declaration commitment, not I

will watch football with you. I'll be you. It's beautiful.

But I want to say it's more than that. That's

why I still make them say the last commitment. You

have to because for Richer, for some days you might

lose your job, no more money. How you see you

buried them? Cannot have the sex ready? Then? How don't

look at me like that? This is church. I tell

you the truth. Okay, I am not out there and

in her. Church is real. Jesus is real. Someone is paralyzed.

Are you going pray or you're gonna walk up? Are

you in love with Jesus? Imagine you need a picture

of how it is your favorite pet dog? You run home?

Some people got this pet lizard and you run home

to look after the pet lizard. Okay, God people that

I I can't wait to see the rabbit. You're in hamster.

That's so cute, right, and we want to do that.

Do you have this wake on the morning and you're

walking on sunshine and you just want to meet Jesus

before you get to work? Now, parents with young children

very difficult. I understand because I'm taking care of a patient. Now.

I wake up in the moor day. I want to

go and Jesus, right, but I had to help my

husband go to toilet because you can't walk. I'm gonna

make sure he's got to get his breakfast because he

needs to take his medicine. So I can't be running

off and doing my own quiet time. And Lord Jesus,

by loving this person is serving my Lord. So I

cannot do quiet time yet asked, and I still got

to go to work. I mean I work, right, So

I understand young moms. Baby wakes up at three six

seven anytime they want to wake up, they need nursing,

or they just want to play, right as so happy

as they please go back to sleep, but they don't

go back to sleep. They want to play, so it's

very hard to have to have the energy to do

quiet time or whatever pray. But all I'm saying is

there is a way if you if there is a

way that you will make away. You know you will

find a way. All I want to encourage you is

praise more than just at least. I want to encourage

you to go into that relationship. And I don't speak

at you. I'm also reminding myself, Okay, praise more than

a pralace. But it's a relationship we can grow into

it Jesus, And I want to say, God is calling

us into an intimate relationship. He's calling us to more

than just a priend list. Amen, He's calling us as

he called Adam and he he walked, They walked with

God in the cool of the day. They walked and

they walked, and they walked and they had fellowship. And

that very sad day when he walked and called an Adam,

no sound from Adam, And then Adam, where are you?

So this is where you have to answer, where are you?

Where are you? Steven? Where are you? Adam? Where are you? Joe?

Where are you? Jane? Where are you? Said? Where are you?

And then you have to say Lord, I am naked

and I'm hiding so we might be. Lord. I'm busy

and I've missed my reading a Bible for two weeks now.

But he's still calling you. Mm hm. He still calls

you to come into a relationship. Come home, come home, come,

I'm here. Isn't that amazing? I cannot see God carusting

us out unless we're evil. We could, and we really

don't want and we're killing people, you know, with our

mouth and how But as he said, we repent. He

will call us every time we say, Lord, forgive me.

I'm made that mistake. Long sorry. Lord. He receives us

when we repent, and he's walking this way and I

are wrong, Lord, I made a mistake. I've heard someone.

I turn, I repent, I'm sorry, and I come back

to the lot. He's calling us into an intimate relationship. Amen,

are you with me? People? When I say this, I

don't say it in a spirit of condemnation. I'm saying

in the spirit of conviction, because I've been there. I've

been there, and I know only one person that will

receive me anytime, Jesus, anytime when I read them when

I'm sorry, Lord, I'm so sorry. Lord, I just I

got so caught up. I'm afraid. Lord, I'm naked. I

have sinned because I did something to someone. I hurt someone.

Is so difficult to face this issue. So I'd rather

not talk to you God because I don't know what

to say. And yet he would say, where are you, Sandra,

I've been waiting. Wow, I'm like, I gotta come right

because this is God, you know, Father God. So next,

a personal time away from our busy schedule and things

that distract just for a moment, Let's have a desire

to draw me into God. Amen. This is what pray means.

Prayer means it's personal time away from our busy schedules,

even if you can cut that up into little bits

over the day, away from things that will distract you

from focusing on Jesus, just for a moment, see, just

for a moment, desire to draw near to God. When

you he says that you come into the room, that room,

that inner chamber, and it's not necessarily a physical space,

that room, and we sing this song. I will make

room for you to do whatever you want to. Where

is that room? It's not my study, it's not just

my kitchen. Yeah, come into this room. Honestly, before the

lord shut the dog everything. That's why I shut the

dog because the distractions will come. Oh, let the dogs out.

We don't want to play with the dog. Okay, the

dog's barking. I had a dog. My one on my

past said, you have a dog. That's it. You will

be distre I'm like, why is it there? Dooks so cute?

But yeah, early morning I get I cannot go to

the preyer room. I've got to look after the dog

with Papima. Got to make go. I'll go. We we

first come, you know, and until she's older, I still

have to go and see then dose of it. She's

not because my dog stays in the house with That's right,

she's long gone now. But you know, so we let

the dogs out. Yeah we're chasing. But so just the

room is in here, and he says, close the door.

Close the door to the distractions. For a moment. It's

very hard. Close the door to the condemnation that's coming

at you. Close the door to that problem that it's solving.

I'm losing my job. My boss has got this thing

over my head. I can't meet my target, my sales target.

Ah Man I gotta speak to this. Stuff is just

so difficult. That door needs to be closed and they

come into the secret place. And then just for a moment,

even if you sit and be still before the Lord,

or worship with your favorite song. Have you memorized any

of your worship songs? We're still singing the old ones. Hungry.

It's all cannot memorize. That's why I tell what shift

keep singing it. Never mind love one hundred times. You

don't get angry now because I want you to remember

the songs. Can remember now? Can a bid lah? Can

a batla? Or you take your Bible when you open

it first and just read God's word just for a moment,

just for a moment, shut that door. Let's pray, because

the word pro soukomai is more than just a list.

Pro sokoma is coming in submission, coming in confession, coming

in intercession, coming to just say Hi God, I'm here,

and Papa God is there, Daddy God is there. Amen.

So I want to encourage just a personal time away,

your personal time. If you have a baby. Sometimes we

carry our babies and go into that quiet time while

the baby sleeves, while the baby nurses, just for a moment.

You turn on the you cannot read Bible, Marco's a

lot of hands, you need two hands. Then you turn

on the audio Bible and let it read to you.

Just listen to the words. I'm trying to find ways

to help you connect with Jesus, to help you have

your quiet time. It matters, friends. The world is not

getting easier. We call it a bookah world. It's volatile,

a wookah v. You see, I can't remember everything now.

I wrote a paper on it. But it's a volatile world.

And it's really not the same every day. Right, it's

having chaos sometimes. Oh man, it's difficult. Like you can't

say this is how the market will be. I invested

in this. It doesn't work that it's changing. What it

means is just changing. Right, the whole digital world is changing.

It's four point already. Now I have to catch up. No,

I don't know what it is, but I have to

catch up learning. So what is stable in our lives,

pray and the praise here is talking about a person,

not a list, and talking about the God who wants

to spend time with you. Amen. And so I bring

you some verses to encourage you and that song we

sang this morning. Psalm twenty seven, verse three says, reading

from the New Living Translation, it says, my heart has

heard you say, come and talk with me, and my

heart responds to say, Lord, I'm coming. Amen. Wow. So

the Lord is saying, my heart has heard you say, Lord,

come and talk with me, and my heart response is Lord,

I'm coming. Amen. Come. Why are you read this with me?

One to three. My heart has heard you say come

and talk with me, and my heart response, Lord, i

am coming. Amen. Take these forty days. Start with one day.

Don't think of forty think of one day and just

come Lord and coming. He's calling us, I'm coming. Just

take your first day tonight, this afternoon, tomorrow morning, all right.

And then Verse Jeremiah, chapter twenty nine, verse thirteen says,

you know, Jeremiah, the Lord spoke to Jeremiah and says,

and you will seek me and find me when you

search for me with all your heart. Amen. God is saying,

when you seek me, you will I'll find me. I

I heard this story. I won't name names, but it

touched my heart. One of our families have a very

difficult child on the spectrum. It's not easy to have

a child on the spectrum. So many years upon gone

pass and I heard the father just cried out, just

cried out because everything done really cannot help. Crazy. He

just cried out one day, just screamed at God, help me.

A miracle has happened. The child on the spectrum has

just turned different. Why she been helping in the past.

If he was in here, all the glasses inside you're here,

he would have thrown across my bag. This bad thing

is broken because he's just true. God, yesus come, I'm coming, Lord,

seek me. I want to seek lot like this, You

know I say a lot. I have to. I've got

so much to deal with God. Family needs, Church needs.

Different people are different needs healing. We stand in the

gap for people who really don't know what to do already,

or circumstances that I also don't know how to help already.

How I can give up? I can't. I got no

patience with people, with people who play a fool. But

I cannot. God's hurt, so with trailer until something happens.

Seek me and find me. You search for me with

all your you will find me. Church. Would you come

into the Lord, Say Lord, I'm coming, because he's already

come amen, hallelujah. I want to teach you some steps

to help you about praying. But again, it's not about

the list. Are you hearing me? Did you remember what

I said? It's not about the list, It's about the person.

All right. There is a time when we do the

list and God wants to hear and remember Matthew Six's eight.

He says, hey, don't repeat your prayers. Don't you know

that I know your need, Not that you shouldn't ask God.

You can ask the Lord. But what the people were doing,

they were trying to show their righteousness outside and say, see,

I'm so good, I can pray. I want to attract

man's favor. God wants you to attrack his favor in

the secret list. You impress God in your private in

the private room, in your treasure, meaning when you come

into this person, Jesus Christ, our heavenly Father, there is

a treasure that you are going to get. It's full,

it's eternal, it's real. He's still unsus our prayer. He

still makes a way where there seems to be no way.

Maybe sometimes you have to wait. Waiting is not a

bad thing. Pass again, is waiting for your healing right,

doesn't mean it won't come. But once he learning. I

think you've heard some messages brokenness and learning to just

rely on God. Wow, God will be glorified at the

end of the day. Others are looking for job, Others

are looking for marriage to be healed. Others are praying

for revival in your own hearts. Lord, I want to

be on fire. Help me, Lord. Others are planting churches.

They need help. The number of people you're us. So

when you give the people that we are helping to

help to supply to their needs. Because they are evangelists

in these different countries, they are difficult praying with them

because every day they get up to give a track

to share the good news the gospel. In China, in

East Malaysia, these are people that were supporting. Every day

they get up, they because they give a report, how

many tracks, how many people they baptized. It's hard in China, right,

closed door bat like government. Right, but that's what they do.

These are who you and I are supporting. When you

give to your first parity, you may never meet his

meet him, but there's a song that says, one day

we will meet in heaven and suddenly you see this

And then they're like, they say, man, thank you for

praying that day. You we thought that every week you

pray that prayer like boring, But that bread that day

save my child. So you might think some boring prayers

you pray for a pray papasa, pray for my elder.

Do you know that prays shield is so important? The

fact that he may have had this this tendon, no,

not tandon, this healed bone thing. It wasn't the achilies

that talked. It was a bone and the bone can heal.

The tendon will take longer. Something to give. Thanks for

the prayer covering Amen. How do you know praying the

list is one thing, but we're not just talking about

a prayer need, but the person. So I want to

just encourage you with this Exodus, Chapter thirty four, Verse

two to three and verse five. If you're thinking, how

do I do this pray thing? How do I come

to this person? This person is our lot God. This

person is meeting with Jesus. And I go to as

if you think you are you, I can wake. I

go to the same things friends. But after forty years

of walking, some patterns will begin to stick to your life,

and so pass. And I don't have late mornings, get

up late, nothing, whether we're on holiday, on whatever. He

just kills me. He wakes four five. I'm like, day,

why look like it will make me feel bad? Law

when he's up five? But he sleeps a bit earlier

than me. Like I sleep quite late doing my work,

and I still have to set myself up. I need

to be up by six now. Now now to thedays,

it's six, used to be five, sleep to something one am.

Cannot get up? I love three hours sleep not to

go right? Can not next day? Are not young anymore?

Not twenty five? Act still party? So I have to

have set time. So this is a picture to give

you any scriptural Exodus chapter thirty four in verse two.

So so what happened was Moses. God was calling Moses

back up again because you know, he gave them the

ten commandments. And then when Moses came down, the people

were partying, wow party, wild thing, wild party. And then

they were sitting away. You don't know what they were doing.

I don't know what they were doing. Weird stuff they

were doing, or shipping other idols, something something. They were

just wow. And then Moses broke the tech. Come on

the tablets, those stone tablets broke it. Then you were

so angry and gave whatever judgment happened. You read that

in Exodus before Exodus thirdy four, then Exodus study four.

God says, all right, come up, okay, mom, it's time

to come up again. So Moses makes a trip up

the mountain. So we're gonna read that in Exodus thirty four.

And there was two give a bible, you can turn there,

all right, And so the Lord said to Moses. Verse

one says the lords and most cut the two tablets

of stone. These are empty stone tablets, and I will

write on these tablets the words that were on the

first tablets which you broke. Why did you break it?

He broke it. So verse two says number one, so

be ready in the morning and come up in the

morning two times morning two mount Sinai, and present yourself

to me there on the top of the mountain. Right,

get ready, he says. Come be ready in the morning,

and then come up in the morning and present yourself

to me there weirstree says, and no man shall come

up with you. And let no man be seen throughout

all the mountain. Let me the flocks or herds feet

before that mountain. And then verse five, Now the Lord

descended in the cloud and stood with him there and

proclaimed the name of the Lord. The Lord descended and

stood with Moses. Right, So there was a presence of

God there with Moses. So let me take you up

to these few points. I just want to encourage you

that you can do this. Number one through this verse

is how we do our quiet time of pray. First thing,

we've got to get ready, because God said, come on,

be ready in the morning. Now, people in the room here,

maybe morning is not your thing. I get it, but

be ready. At some point the thing cannot all right, alllujah, yeah, amen,

So have her be ready and a set time. How

about setting your time. Don't be gla bah any time.

Any time a bit must have some order. God's also

God order. If you say three o'clock meet got a

tree'clock and he will be there before you are there.

Do you like that kind of appointments? Right? Yeah, you

turn up the fuller not there, right, but the Lord

will take you up, can take you up at your

appointment and you'll be there. And his presence, right, he's omnipresent.

He's always present. But when you set that time, then

you know that God's gonna meet with you. So you

get ready. You set up a time. What is your time?

So for me for Parsconda's five six am? Right, then

he says, come up. So I suggest that you get

up of your bed, leave your bed because if you

do quiet, then your bed and you should sleep back.

Really want it, all right? So get up? So com

up means to get up, pressure teeth, change underwear, and

then all right, present yourself, meaning turn up at your

corner all right, where wherever you have a room, you'll

shut the door, room the area, it's your heart. But

not the prayer list, if you would just fill this

relationship with Jesus. And I asked myself as well. I

said to the Lord yesterday, Lord, you know there's so

many needs, and I sometimes forget to pray for that need.

But I just want to be worshiping you. I just

want to just spend time. But my hours are very

short because of traffic. I have to run sometimes. But

I just say, Lord, I really want to be with you.

I just want to spend time with you. Please help

my faith to grow strong and to stay close to

you and just talking to the lot. So the prayer

is about more like with honor and just humility and submission.
