Waiting on the Lord is not wasted time. I can

I can even imagine, like the leaders, the early leaders,

when they were first discussing among themselves, Hey, what should

we get together? Should we come together? You know, some

of them would even think it, maybe it's not even

worth the discussion because everything is not going well right,

But it's not waste time. I believe it's a preparation

time of time of preparation. When they're having the first discussion, like, hey,

do you think this could work? Maybe the seed was

being sown and it's something as they discuss more and

more and more, and that's where it came together and

now we have Malaysia. But when we come to the

perspective of the Lord, when we're waiting the Lord. I

don't know how many of you here. You're in a

season of waiting. Okay, you're in a season of waiting.

I want to encourage you that waiting on the Lord

is not wasting your time. Yeah, it's a time of preparation.

I would like to just introduce a topic instead of

you never walk alone. As Christians, we shouldn't walk alone. Yeah.

I want to just encourage you that you will never

wait alone a man, when you're waiting, especially in a

season waiting for your career, waiting for your child to

be birth, in the name of Jesus, hallelujah, it will

be well and everything will be healthy. But when you're

waiting and you're in the season of especially something that

perhaps is not so comfortable, right, you are waiting for

a decision, and a decision will impact your future, your

children's life, your children's education. You're waiting, You're waiting for

a result. So if you students, you just studied, go

for an exams and then the results is coming, you're waiting, right.

I want to encourage you that when you wait in

the presence of the Lord, you're not waiting alone. Yeah,

You're always waiting with the presence of the Lord, and

we wait together. There's another thing that just encourage our us.

We have to wait together, you know, you know, when

we're especially when we're going to a tough time, don't

allow someone else to wait alone. Be there with someone,

Be there in prayer, be there and encouragement. Right. It's

never right for a believer to be waiting in a

place where he feels alone and nobody is there with him. Yeah. Amen.

But even if you are alone, just be encouraged and

the Holy Spirit is there with you. Amen. Okay. So

to the Book of Isaiah, chapter forty, verse thirty one.

I really like the name Isaiah. It's a very very

Lord will provide. Amen. But let's let's maybe I should

waiting for something. Okay, but let's let's let's read scripture Isaiah,

chapter forty, verse thirty one. But those who wait on

the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up

with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary,

they shall walk and not faint. Now to introduce you

the word weight in Hebrew. Yeah, the word wait in

Hebrew is the word cover. You all know that it

means to look eagerly, to expect, to hope. It also

carries the idea of binding together. You know, when you

are waiting, when your cover, when you are waiting for something,

You're waiting earnestly. You're waiting eagerly. Now I want you

imagine husbands and wives. You are separated from your husband

and or your wife due to work, and then you're waiting.

Who said yes so loud? Sorry I didn't hear. Okay, anyways,

God bless you. But you're waiting. You're you're separated due

to work, and it has been a while since you

saw each other. Maybe give you a month? You even

seen me? Shut up a month. Now it's time to

pick your your your partner from the airport. Right, what

love language is. But when you're waiting, you're waiting earnestly. Right,

they can't wait to be reunited right with one another.

the feeling of nervousness because you're excited but you're waiting

let's not view it as like, oh, God, when are

but it should be one of waiting earnestly and eagerly

right expecting something to happen. God, you're gonna move. God,

I believe that you are going to move, because some

of us. Sometimes when we read this verse, you realize

that it says but those who wait on the Lord

shall renew their strength. Now more often than not, when

we're in a season of waiting, sometimes it causes us

to be derailed. Sometimes it causes us to be depressed,

right like, when is it going to happen? When is

my make truely gonna happen? When is my boss going

to finally notice my heart work? When is my children,

finally going to understand my heart as a parent. All

I want is for the best for my child. But

yet when I talk to them, when when it was

just a three years old, four years old child, or

so cute, so chubby, so much fat everything, so they

listen to me. Now he's thirteen years old. Everything I say,

he thinks I am against him. But all I want

is for this child to grow up in the ways

of the Lord. And I'm providing for him. How I

wish he knows. And you're waiting. You're waiting for the

season that he comes. Husband's wife. You're waiting because you're

doing your best, but somehow your spouse doesn't just see

what you're trying to do. You're waiting. But yet it

says over here, if you wait with the earnest expectation

on the Lord for something to happen, what will happen

is that your strength will be renewed. Now the word

renew over here in Hebrew it actually means exchange. That

means an exchange happens. You know when you read this verse,

did you know that this verse actually symbolizes the resurrection

of Jesus Christ, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. When I

saw this verse of Jesus is painted all across scriptures

from the Old Testament all the way and the New Testament.

You can see the pattern of Jesus all over. I mean,

you look at the word renew. The word renew actually

means exchange. And when Jesus came to earth, there was

an exchange that took place. He took the place of

our sin right, and he died for us on the cross.

What was meant to be us on the cross is

now Jesus because God so loved us so much, he

loved this world. He said, is one of the goden

son to do that for us, And it is an exchange. Now,

the same word exchange over here. When we wait upon

the Lord earnestly, when we cover I'm not just talking

about the normal wait there, I'm talking about when we

wait earnestly, the exchange of God's strength upon us will happen. Yeah,

that's the word renew. It's not just you go there

and then you renew your driving license, you give them money. No,

it's when you wait that is the that is the

currency that God is receiving. When you're asking for his strength,

you catch it when you're asking, when you're when you're

praying for his strength to come upon your life, He's

actually looking to you and say, where is the transaction?

And the transaction that he is expecting from you is

the waiting, the earnest waiting that God, You're about to

do something in your timing and not mine. My calendar

says it will happen in a year, but your calendar

may be a month. For some of us. You are God,

Send me, God, send me to the wilderness, send me

to the mission field. I am ready. Then God say, okay, tomorrow,

huh tomorrow? Can you give me one moment? So whose

timing is it? But when God says ten more years?

A God, why so long? Why ten years? Why can't

it be in one year's time when I'm ready? No,

it's about who God is. And when you wait upon

the Lord, he will exchange. And the exchange is that

He will give you his strength. And that's how you

will be able to persevere right through your tiring moments,

through your the days where you just feel like giving up.

That's where you renew your strength with His strength, Amen,

your weakness with His strength. Amen. You know the verse

goes goes on to say, they shall mount up with

wings like eagles. You know one thing about eagles, right,

if you know the economy of birds, they do not

flap their wings. Right. Some birds, begeons, they fly they

to the right. But eagles they do not flap. They

actually saw and they put both wings out and they

glide right, glide in the wind. Eagles don't flap end

endlessly like small birds. So these same eagles over here

is that when you wait upon the Lord, you will

mount up with things like eagles. You're right, the wind

waiting God helps us to move by the wind of

the Holy Spirit. You know. Let allow the Holy Spirit

to take you in that drift right, and you are

able to glide through, and it's going to be very,

very smooth because you are in the presence of the

Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is helping you even

in where you're going to go today. Allow me to

guide you and the wind will take you on. When

you start to flap so frantically, that's when you start

to use your own strength and your own energy, and

you go like, ah, I'm flapping so hard, but God,

why am I not moving anywhere? I'm flapping all I want,

But God, I'm not moving. Nothing seems to be moving.

Have you seen that before? But all God says is that, hey,

spread out your wings and start relying on my win.

Start relying on my spirit and allow my spirit to

guide you and to lead you. Stop trying to flap

your wings, stop trying to move in your own way.

That that's what it means to wait upon the lot.

Some of us wait. Yes, God, I'm waiting for that

perfect person to show up. But then you are. You're

trying to You're trying to do everything in your own power.

But God is just saying, cheer. Stop trying to flap

your wings. Sometimes your wings. Keep it to yourself. Just

put your hands up, put your hands out, and allow

me to take over. You know another thing about the

eagles spreading your wings to me, look at it as

a sign of surrender. You're putting your hands up. God,

I don't know what I'm gonna do. I'm just gonna glide.

I'm just gonna go according to your breath, according to

your win. Amen. The verses Asia says that as you

wait upon the Lord, you shall run and not be weary.

You shall walk and not faint. You know, when I

when I read this, one thing I saw about this

is that no matter there's pace of life were no

matter how fast, no matter how slow, whether you're walking,

whether you're running, where they are walking, where they're running.

You know, some seasons it's about flying high, it's about

going quick. Some seasons about running, pushing to challenges whatever

comes away. Bam bam, bam, bam, bam, bam bam. I

don't whatever it is. But some seasons is about walking,

walking faithfully. And why I kept what I called from

this verse is that no matter the pace, no matter

the pace, how fast, how slow, is you weighed upon

the Lord God will sustain. Amen. He is sufficient, more

than sufficient for each and every one of us. Amen.

So let's learn to cover. Let's learn to cover in

the presence of the Lord. Let's learn not to you know,

just depend on your own understanding. Let's learn how to

wait upon the Lord. Amen. So as we wait upon

the Lord, I'm just gonna give you four points, and

we're gonna draw to a close. But the first point

that I have for you today is to weigh the

worth of the gospel. Amen. Let's weigh the worth of

the gospel when you're waiting upon the Lord. One thing

that you have to ask yourself is how heavy this

thing called the Gospel is? How heavy? How hevy it

is to you? That means how important it is to

you when you go out there, when you carry the

Gospel around you. Is it something that is causing you

to understand that, Hey, this means something. You know the

other day when I was playing big a ball, I

have I have a I have a battle to me.

It's very expensive. Yeah, I had the privilege to have

it because I got it from my cousin and a

cheaper price. But this battle, when I got it, it

was its cost was fine and fifty ering itIt. Okay.

Now I'm still paying back my cousin. Okay, the original

price one hundred and ninety Okay. But I chose this

paddle for a specific reason, okay, not because of anything.

I was eyeing it for a long time because it

the pedal over my own body. So I protected the pedal,

but I went and wracked my hand, and because of that,

for a few days I couldn't play. Ah. But you know,

the worth the world of the pedal was so heavy

to me five hundred fifty, didn't it? You know, to

very heavy. Still paying bad to me? What is that worth?

So when you're carrying the gospel around, how heavy it is,

how important is it? Would you actually sacrifice something for

the gospel? How much are you willing to sacrifice for

the gospel? The Lord dropped something into my heart. He said,

pick up the gospel in your right hand, take up

your bank balance in the left hand, and tell me

how much are you willing to give for the sake

of the gospel? Ten ring it? Twenty ten thousand, twenty thousand,

By the way, my numbers stopped even before that. Already

in my heart I had to check how much are

you willing to give it? I'm not just talking about

financial I'm talking about your own ability, your own time.

How much are you willing to give up for the gospel?

So I want you to encourage you. Based on this

verse Philippine's Tree, verse eight, it says, indeed, count everything

as laws because of the surpassing worth of the knowing Christ,

Jesus my Lord. The worth of knowing Jesus is worth

more than anything in this world that can ever provide.

And that's the worth of the gospel. How heavy is

the gospel because if it's really very very important, wherever

you are, and when you have the opportunity, you will

share the love of Jesus Christ. Amen. You know how

many of you are friends with insurance agents. They are

not afraid or shying to share what they think matters

because they believe in it. But would to encourage the

believers in the house of the Lord. You know, if

we do not rise up, if we do not speak up,

some of us are not able to speak up to

our words. Yeah. Everyone is given different giftings. And we

acknowledge that some of us are in evangelism, but some

of us are not. And it's okay. Whatever gift things

that you have in your actions, are you displaying the

love of Jesus Christ, Because it's not us who says yeah,

it is Jesus who says But our role is to

point people to the light. But we will only point

if this thing is heavy enough, if it matters enough.

So what is the worth of the Gospel to us?

I don't know how many of us look at the

Bible and says, hey, the Gospel is good advice. Knowing

Jesus is good advice. It is not just that if

you follow after the scriptures, you will know that. Hey,

everything that is in this scripture, we follow after it,

we will do well in life. But doing well doesn't

necessarily mean comfortable. There will be discomfort. But this the

good news that carries the eternal weight amen the way,

the payment that has already been made, the transaction that

has already been made on the cross. And that is

the worth of the gospel. You know, Paul considered all

things rubbish compared to knowing Christ. How many of us

here disposed of your garbage daily? How many you'll do that? Yeah,

by the end of the day, dispose It sounds keeping right,

I don't know. But how long can you go before

you what's the longest? One week? One week? So Paul

considered all things as garbage. That includes money, that includes friendship,

that includes his personal desires in comparison to the Gospel,

all of this is considered something that I should dispose of.

Let me just rephrase this. Let me just rephrase thoughts.

I would rather dispose of my personal desires if it

is in comparison with the Gospel, because I am so

disgusted by my personal desires. It is garbage to me.

It smells bad when you compared to the Gospel. So

question to all of us, and even to myself, how

much are we actually valuing the Gospel? Do we actually

take it in and do we actually just continue to

let it immerse in our spirit as you continue to

live our daily life. Amen. You know the Greek word

There was made for Malaysia Day to happen because I

think that the leaders looked at each other and said, hey,

it is worth the sacrifice. It is worth the payment

some words. Here we pay money for things. I pay

because you think that the exchange is worth right, it's

worth your money, It's worth your time. That car, it's

worth your time. That houses over your time, The time

that you're investing in this person is worth it because

it's a young person's life. There's an exchange. But when

I believe that my investment is worth it. When it

comes to the gospel, do we really believe that the

gospel is worth living and dying for? You know, we

are coming to the final days, right and we don't

know when that's going to be. But if we believe,

really believe in scripture. We know we will know that

some of us here may have to make a decision.

And I pray that as you continue on your daily

life here on earth, when wherever God has planted you,

I pray that you are not get to a point

where you're caught by surprise and when God finally come

to you and ask you right, and then you says

look at it and say, hey, I haven't thought about

this yet. I pray that God will give you the strength,

the revelation, the knowledge to be able to continue to

build up your strength in the Lord as you cover,

as you wait on him, and as you wait on Him,

as you wait on him for and answer, His strength

that will be given to you as an exchange will

continue to build up your inner man to a point

where you will be able to answer the question whether

the Gospel is worth living or dying for He Men

do not wait until it's too late to ask this

question to ourselves. So while we have time, while we

still have breath, we shall continue to praise the Lord.

While we have breath, You'll continue, you'll do good while

we have breath. We'll continue to love our neighbors. But

pray and ask what is the worth of the gospel

when it really really matters. What is your answer going

to be? Are you going to deny Jesus or are

you going to pick up the cross and continue to

follow after him? Amen? That they may come in our lifetime,

he may not, But remember this, especially those of us

who are older, and I consider myself, whatever we do

with our life, we shape the future generation and their

decisions as well, because they are watching if they can look.

You know, I don't know if you and I don't

want to be graphic about this, but someone very notable

recently passed on due to an accessiny assassination attempt. Right. Sorry,

very very serious moment, and I am I was shocked

when I heard it. But I tell you what what

But even if that were true, and Jesus really did

not come back in your time, what you do will

affect your child. They will look up to you and said, hey,

They either look up you and say that I want

to be like my dad, or they look up to

you and say, my dad is an everdo why should

I do? And I can tell you what. If it

conteer the water down, the gospel will reach the point

where Malaysia will continue to decrease in our percentage of believers.

We are already decreasing right away. It is not an

upward strandure. It is a downward STrenD and it's bubical,

you know, because fewer, more and more people walk away.

will walk away from the Gospel. None of us will

walk away. I proclaim that, and I believe that in

what is causing you to not be able to press

want to encourage you that when that moment happens, look

to the Cross, look to the Gospel, and allow that

word to be your anchor, because his promises are yes,

and a man if the Word of God says that

God desires none to perish. That is rare, and that

is true. It will never change. You know, it's not

God who rejects men. You know, it is man who

rejects God. Because God's desire is that none should perish.

But yet, but yet, in the same scripture, it says

that many will choose the path of the wide road

that leads to destruction, but few will enter through the

narrow gates that leads to salvation.

Why is that so? If God's desire is that none

should perish, because his desire may not be our desire,

and many of us will reject him because of our

selfish desire, our selfish needs, our selfish ones. So I pray,

I pray, you know us a few weeks ago, and

last week or so, I kind of pich about. You know,

do you need to know what justification means, what scientification means,

what glorification means. You know, the thief, the robber at

the cross, he did not know all of that, but

yet he must manage to enter into the gates of heaven.

All he did was have faith in Jesus. Might I

tell you what, when you're on this journey, when you

still have breath in this world, you'll be encountering many

things in life, many voices. Perhaps some of the voices

are even voices that you respect. Perhaps some of the

voices may even come from inside the church. Are you

going to anchor your waiting season on what Baskeno said?

Are you going to anchor your waiting season? Or what

Bassa Daniel said? Are you going to anchor your waiting

per or what your husband is saying? Because I can

tell you what everything else will fail, but God never feels.

So when you come to a point where everything seems

to be moving astray, anchor your faith on the world

of God. I'll never leave you, I'll never forsake you.

The weapon form against you shall ever prosper. That is

the word that you have to anchor your faith on,

not the words of men. Amen. You know the Boneo states,

It wasn't an easy process. They needed assurance like you know,

need to stand on God's covenant promises He's unchanging even

many of you will lock hands. You know, when you're

intertwining your hands, How man are you hold like that?

you safe. How will you actually hold the person's hand?

You're locked your fingers right, it's not easy to let go.

unity is fragile when self interesticks over. The only the

says in essentials, unity in non essentials, liberty in all things.

Charity Now you may if some of you are not

catching on. The word charity here doesn't just mean charity here, okay,

But the word charity here in the Old English word

is actually the word for love. And guess what is

the word agape? Yeah, in all things charity, in all

things love. First Corinthians thirteen two says, if I have

prophetic power and understanding all mysteries and all knowledge, but

have not love, I am nothing. So when you are intertwined,

don't just be intertwined in the concept of unity, but

be intertwined in the love of God. That's what is

keeping us together. That is the one thing that's keeping

all of together, the love of God. No matter how

much we disagree you want another, God loves you. God

loves me, and that's all that matters. If we start

to diversify, sectionize people based on our own ability and

not the love of God, it's gonna get a lot

dangerous because we're gonna start comparing. We're gonna say that

that murderer around the street doesn't deserve the love of Jesus,

but I deserve because I don't. I have not murdered anyone.

But I tell you what, in the eyes of the Lord,

it's the same. We have to stop. The only thing

that's giving us together is the love of God, and

let's continue to be united in that. Amen. You know,

Saint Augustine is a very very amazing guy. If you

know his story, you know he grew up with a

Christian murder his name is, her name is Monica, and

a pagan father, Patricius. Yeah. In his youth he pursued pleasure,

ambition and worlies. Are says, reminds me of Solomon, okay

and his life. Yeah, but by his own admission, Saint

Augustine at the time, just Augustine lived a life of

immoral immorality, struggling with last and wordly desires. At the

same time, he was a person who is very very

highly intelligent. Okay, very highly intelligent. He became a very

respected teacher. Augustine. Yeah, he later confessed in his famous

book called Confessions. He said this, you have made us

for yourself, oh Lord, and our heart is restless until

it rests in you. You know. The reason why Saint

Augustine is where he is today, I mean, and the

person he is he was, is because he had a

mom that prayed, really fervently. And I tell you what,

when I was reading this, it didn't Initially it wasn't

easianship my message. But when someone ready to me and

a research about this. And I was really reminded about

my own life as well, because I also have a

mother that really prayed for me every day. So mothers

in the house don't stop praying because Augustin here last

struggling with struggling with worldly desires. But Monica, Augustine's mom,

prayed for Augustine's salvation for over seventeen years. Seventeen years

of just praying daily, praying even when he was living

in immorality, chasing his own desires and rejecting God. She

never gave up. Never, never did she give up praying.

Augustine himself wrote in his book called Confessions, he said,

she wept for me more than mother's whip, for the

bodily deaths of their children. That means to her some

other mothers. And I can tell you what, I can

already imagine how much tears would have come out of

her mother on the death of their child. I can

imagine how much pain, anguish and suffering. But Augustine himself

wrote that in her prayers the amount of tears that

she cried was even more. When come back to when

a mother loses his child, so much tears come out.

It's like almost as if the child Augustine has already

passed on, and she's just wepping and weeping, and the

only thing that can save her child is Jesus. And

she prayed for seventeen years. At one point, Monica went

to a bishop broken hearted about august and you know,

you can, you can be praying but also be broken hearted.

You can, And don't don't ever think that, oh I

need to be very strong, you know, No matter what,

I continued to persevere. No, she was broken hut as well,

and she went to a bishop, and the bishop told

her it is not possible that a son of so

many tears should perish. It's not possible of a son

of so many tears should perish. Eventually, Augustine came to

Christ and I was in blessed, many people around him

saying Augustine, he was a saint. And I was just

reflecting upon this, And like I said, it wasn't It

was not initially part of a message. But when I

heard of the background of this story, I started the

thing about my mom. And it's the same thing my

mom used to tell me, son, Daniel, I pray every

day for you. Every day I pray for you until

today when I'm a pastor, she still continues to pray

for me every day. So mother's parents, dad's in the house,

do not stop praying for your children, no matter what

happens in your life. Do not stop declaring Jesus over

your children, because you will declare life and life more abundantly.

And I tell you what, no matter what the circumstances,

no matter what the situation, it will turn around for

the glory of God. Amen. The final point I have

a year before I close the day is you have

to trust in God's timing. You have to trust in

God's timing because yes this the tree verse eleven says,

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also he

has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one

can find out the work that God does from beginning

to the end. You know, in Greek there are two

words for the word time, two words for the word time,

chronos or chiros. Yeah, Chronus is the chronological cock clock

and chiros is appointed God a point ordained moment. Trusting

God is not just waiting for his chronus. You're not

just waiting for time to pass. You're not just waiting

for things that make sense to happen. But you're trusting

God for his chiros timing. That means that when something happens,

you believe that it's God ordained, and when it happens,

you've got to be ready. So can I also say

this that when Jesus comes back, he's coming back in

his chiros. Amen, it is God appointed. Only God knows,

only the Father knows. The federation didn't just happen in

is perfect. He's never late, he's never early, He's always

right on time. Amen. Amen. Those that weigh upon the

Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with

wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary,

they shall walk and not fain.
