  1. You're listening to a message to go from AXTS church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. So in Matthew chapter six, chapter six, verse five to eight.

  4. Matthew Chapter six, verse five to eight, we're going to

  5. I'm going to use this chapter chapter six, verse five,

  6. but I'll we reading from verse six. Okay, all right?

  7. Verse five to eight. All right, are you there? Okay,

  8. and bring me someone is popping up there? Noh, okay, ken,

  9. you turn to your bibles. It's good to carry your bibles.

  10. If you don't have bibles, ask your friend. Can I

  11. share with you? Or maybe they'll be kind to pop up?

  12. If not mine, we can turn to our bibles. Yeah,

  13. all right, good to turn their bibles. All right. So

  14. verse five starts say this Jesus is saying, and when

  15. you pray, you shall not be like these Hippocrates. For

  16. they like to pray or love to pray standing you

  17. know in the synagogues on the corners of the street,

  18. that they may be seen by men. So they are

  19. praying loudly in front of everybody to be seen by men.

  20. But assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward

  21. for what they do Jesus says, but.

  22. You, okay, turn to your neighbor and see but you

  23. but you all right, all right?

  24. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and

  25. when you have shut your door, pray to your father,

  26. who is in the secret place. And your father, who

  27. sees in secret, will reward you openly. Amen. Have you

  28. read this verse? I'm sure you have many times, right,

  29. So when you look at it today, it tells us. Ah,

  30. he says, you know, go into your room, when you

  31. have shut the door, pray to your father, who is

  32. in the secret place, and your father, who sees in secret,

  33. will reward you openly. Amen. Of course, it says when

  34. you pray, please don't have used vain repetitions as the

  35. heathen do, for they think that they will be hurt

  36. for the many words. Therefore, do not be like them

  37. for your heaven, for your father knows the things that

  38. you need before you ask him. And then you ask,

  39. then why should I pray? Because he already knows? Ah.

  40. All right. So that's how we're gonna look at today.

  41. And I've been sharing I've been sharing this in other

  42. plants as well, So because I'm focusing on prayer for

  43. us in this season. So let us come into the

  44. secret place. I've underlined the words pray, go into the room,

  45. shut the door, secret place, and the God who sees

  46. in secret. So there's a lot of repetition here, secret secret. Okay, pray,

  47. pray anything more than one time. It's quite important love,

  48. all right, And so we're gonna see it here. Now.

  49. I want to give you the word pray. So Jesus

  50. says when you pray. Hey, look at the word here.

  51. It says when you pray, not if you pray. Oh,

  52. there's hope. There's not an if you will pray. He

  53. doesn't even let me. He's speaking to the children of God,

  54. speaking to us. He doesn't think that you will if pray,

  55. you will pray. It's just a matter of when you pray,

  56. not is if you pray. If means I don't know

  57. whether you pray. You want to pray, you do want

  58. to pray? No, he believes that you will pray. So

  59. when you pray, Ah, there's a specific word here for us.

  60. It's when we pray. What do we do? And this

  61. is what we can do.

  62. First word pray, And Jesus says when you pray, So

  63. what does the word pray in the Greek. Now, the

  64. word pray in the Greek has a few meanings, but

  65. in this verse the word pray, the Greek word use is.

  66. Pro super mind you. Maybe you've heard people say, so

  67. you can say, when I prosecu my, he you tell

  68. your friend. Now, hey, when we proseco my, when you pray,

  69. when are we doing? When we proseco mine, he says,

  70. to offer press we bring intercession. There's submission, there's confession,

  71. there's petition. Wow, supplication, simple word pray. Okay, So when

  72. you proseucon mind, there are few things that are happening.

  73. We are offering our prayer to the Lord. We are

  74. interceding on behalf of someone. We're submitting ourselves to the Lord.

  75. We submit to him. We're not fighting with him and

  76. not saying I want this and you don't give me this.

  77. I don't friend you. No, you're submitting to the Lord.

  78. Then there is confession. Oh, so when we prosecon mind,

  79. there's also a place of confessing to the Lord. Maybe

  80. even you know, we could be repenting. We could even

  81. be confessing our love for him and confessing the truth

  82. of God's word. Thank you, Lord, you are good that's

  83. there's the word of when the word confess. Of course,

  84. more science, confession does mean us coming and bowing our

  85. houses and saying, Lord, forgive me a man. And in

  86. prayer we do ask God for forgiveness. In our precourse

  87. we may have fallen shot of something. There's this confession

  88. to the Lord. Petition is to to stand and ask

  89. for something before the Lord, asking the Lord for a need.

  90. Right supplication also goes deeper. It means that we bring

  91. our petition and we supplicate, We intercede, We intercede deeply

  92. to supplicate for our prayer. And in n it simply

  93. word means pray. Simply simply it means pray, to pray.

  94. And then all these things are happening. So Jesus says,

  95. when you pro supermai, okay, you go into your room.

  96. Now you will say, I don't have a room. I

  97. shared a room with my house maid, my roommate, LA,

  98. my brother, LA, my sister, some of a chair room.

  99. But let's look at what the word room means. The

  100. word room means the mayon. In the Greek the maeon

  101. means inner chamber. Do you have an inner chamber somewhere

  102. in a chamber here all right, treasure room, whah, a

  103. secret room, a storage janitor's room, okay, a storeroom. So

  104. what does the idea connotate here? It's a very somewhere

  105. deep right. It's an inner chamber. And you know the

  106. room that God wants to speak to us is our

  107. room in our hearts. This is an inner chamber. The

  108. inner chamber is our hearts. I know there's a physical room.

  109. So the things in the physical help us imagine the spiritual.

  110. They're all parallel. It helps give a picture. So God

  111. speaks to us where nts.

  112. There?

  113. And so we sing this song and now we'll make

  114. room for you to do whatever you want to to do. Heir,

  115. where's this room in your brain? God doesn't work with

  116. your brain. He wants in your heart.

  117. So a lot of people are very intellectual, very good.

  118. You have knowledge of Jesus. He must come to your hat.

  119. Your heart is the inner chamber, and God speaks to

  120. our hearts. So here we are singing even yesterday, and

  121. I will make room. Then if you're thinking one room

  122. my house, go no more room ready, No, it's our hearts.

  123. We make room. We gotta push away the distractions. So

  124. the inner chamber also depicts to us God speaks to

  125. our hearts, isn't it Because sometimes you, if you have,

  126. if you're new in your faith, you say, how does

  127. God speak to us? Does he speak to us audibly?

  128. He can? Hello, Ben, I tell you you've God calls

  129. you speak to u. Ben, Just give up everything, love,

  130. Just just give up and just Lord, no, don't even

  131. worry what tomorrow will come? Right you? Just in Jesus,

  132. I heard your voice. Right. We all want to hear

  133. the moment you hear persons even that's that you give

  134. up everything and you say, Lord send me, Yeah, am

  135. I all right? So? Uh, the Lord speaks, he can

  136. speak audibly. He can. When Jesus came out the water baptism,

  137. there was the dove that fell on They saw like

  138. the spirit of God coming to him like the dove,

  139. and then a voice. Everyone heard that voice. Okay, so

  140. you can the most of us were hurt. Here God

  141. in our hearts. He speaks to our hearts because this

  142. is where the real person is happening. No one can

  143. see your heart, but the Lord sees your heart. So

  144. I believe there's this inner chamber, this says us. So

  145. in the physical if you were to go and pray,

  146. you need a space, a space that nobody would stub you.

  147. Now it could be a toilet. Okay, I don't know.

  148. Some people told me you go nowhere to pray because

  149. share room, share room, share houses, they go to the toilet.

  150. I hope he's clean. The boy, he's a squat toilet.

  151. Yesterday pass the sister Tune said, you know, I don't know.

  152. If I go to a room, inner room, your heart

  153. has to be that quiet space, but also a physical

  154. space that you can go to. And when you go

  155. to this room, Jesus says, pray. Yeah, you wanta shut

  156. the door. Don't open any door for anyone to come

  157. and this stop you, not not who's there? I don't

  158. frame you, all right, So no, no, no, okay, just

  159. not answering. I've shut the door.

  160. That's why he said, shut the door, don't leave it

  161. open and everyone can see you, because the he doesn't

  162. want anyone to see you.

  163. Because the the people, well he called them the hippocrites.

  164. They want the people to see them. And the Lord says,

  165. shut the door so no one can see you. I

  166. will see you. And then he says, because your father,

  167. who's in the secret place. Right there you go pray

  168. to your father's in a secret place, and your father

  169. in heaven, who sees in secret world, reward you openly.

  170. All right. So this secret place, the word see great

  171. also gives you the idea that's hidden, it's concealed secret inward.

  172. So again the word inward comes again inner chamber, Uh, inwards.

  173. So it's it's it's a place that not seen, only

  174. God sees, and you see because you are before the Lord. Amen?

  175. So what what what do I draw out from here?

  176. When we okay, we study the word in the Greek? Oh,

  177. do we understand that in the Greek it means all

  178. of these things? I mean, wow, go to the room,

  179. treasure room. Maybe there's an expectation a treasure room. Maybe

  180. a king in his palace he has a treasure room. No,

  181. you watch all those movies, I don't know, Caribbean, Caribbean.

  182. You they open door his inner chamber, right, and then

  183. all this treasure there. Perhaps it also means that when

  184. you come into the inner room before the Lord, there

  185. are treasures forevermore, eternal, eternal treasures, the joy, his peace,

  186. he is healing, his forgiveness. There's treasure there's an expectation.

  187. So when we come into the inner room, we come

  188. to the secret place that's concealed that secret inwardly in

  189. our hearts. There's an expectation of great treasure that we

  190. will experienced with our master in our quiet time. Yeah,

  191. so what I want to say in the next sight

  192. is prayer. It is more than just a list, right,

  193. It's not just a prayer list of needs. I want

  194. to help me in my studies, help me get a

  195. new job, all of those things. But it is for

  196. us to grow into a relationship with the Lot, amen to.

  197. That's why it's in the inner chamber. It's a secret place.

  198. You go in and you and you not just bring

  199. a list yet, but you want to know the lot,

  200. and the Lot knows you. Amen. And so you can

  201. imagine that. I mean in the natural. Why why do

  202. you know couples who just get to know each other

  203. fall in love, they always to spend time away from

  204. the crowd run please. Okay, I'm not giving ideas, but yeah,

  205. you date someone, you go, you have dinner, or you

  206. don't watch movies, laboring, watch movie, you cannot talk one

  207. you cannot talk again, do other things, cannot do other things.

  208. No hand stretching and all that. Okay, no, mister gadget,

  209. all right, but you go and you talk. Most of

  210. the time. We want to share our heart, share vision,

  211. talk about so many things, so much talking after marriage

  212. and nothing to talk. I don't know why. Gosh die here.

  213. Okay, thirty years married, I'm gonna be thirty years.

  214. Sometimes we do have our silent moment. Men, okay, all

  215. the girls are men have this much of words? I

  216. forgot how many thousand words? Youse already five hundred? Only

  217. five hundred words a day? And then after that news

  218. up radio, when her husband come home. Then you are

  219. waiting tell me what happened today? How is your work today? Good?

  220. How is this good? The wife is thinking, there's more

  221. vocabulary than good. Now asn't direready? He just wants to

  222. go into his empty box, all right and chill, all right.

  223. That's how men are made. Women, however, have many words

  224. to speak, never ending, can talk all the time. That's

  225. why girls on the phone with their friend are your endless,

  226. endless right phone bilburn okay, ball porridge. But then for men,

  227. men like that's it. By the end of the day,

  228. that's it, no more words. No more words can I express? Really?

  229. Just need time out, rescal read newspaper, watch football. That's it, right,

  230. this is what happens to husband's okay, all right? And

  231. then the women the last time we didn't. But such

  232. is life, okay. And you learn to understand each other

  233. how we are made, and we're made that way, so

  234. we learn to adjust. But when we come to Jesus

  235. and pray, ye, Jesus never don't talk to you one,

  236. all right. He's not like men or woman. He is God.

  237. When you go into that relation, into that inner chamber

  238. and you sit before the Lord. Actually we don't under talk. Ah,

  239. Jesus waiting, you know, every day's waiting the same time

  240. you're promise him. He's there. He never changes, he never moves.

  241. We build a relationship with him. Amen. I don't know

  242. how is your prayer now? Where are you at? Where

  243. is your How many years you've been walking with Jesus?

  244. We've rebuilt again. I've rebuilt so many times my prayer.

  245. Life rebuilt because sometimes it fails after a while, you know, yeah,

  246. so recharge again, change the way I do it? Come,

  247. How do I meet with the lot? But always wanting

  248. to meet with the lot. So I want to say

  249. to us, our prayer time is more than a list.

  250. We're not saying you don't bring your list. We do

  251. bring our prayer needs. We pray for people, We pray

  252. for so many matters. But for me, when I come

  253. into that prayer in a room, I don't bring a

  254. prayer list. I just want to talk to Jesus and

  255. and just tell him my heart, because I want to

  256. be transparent with the Lord and tell him how I

  257. feel about this. This. Oh, I'm just proclaiming him a

  258. confession of God. You're so good declaring him so that

  259. all the realm above me will hear that. I'm proclaiming

  260. that the Lord is my refuge, no weapon form against me.

  261. She's a possible with Some days, you know, I'm just

  262. thanking thank you Lord for you know, doing this, or

  263. being with us at the conference. Thank you for healing

  264. so and so. Thank you Lord. You're so good. You

  265. provided me pray and you answered. Other days you're just worshiping.

  266. And man, that's why we sing some song. You're thinking,

  267. why every week, same song? So theo, so teo, so

  268. tear antella. Some people say I don't want to sing

  269. so tear anymore. Okay, Oh, dear sir, yug payfool, payful.

  270. But see, the more you're singing, you rememorize the words.

  271. And then when you go into your prayer room and

  272. suddenly you feel like, I really think God's wayful. You

  273. have a song to sing, really modern day song. Modern

  274. day worship songs are so long? How do memory? I know?

  275. I do? I remember? We used to memorize the hymns,

  276. you know, ah, so long? The four four method is

  277. just four four four, not many many verses. I cannot

  278. memorize the hymns only the first four lines. All right,

  279. great is the faithfulness the first four that's it. Right.

  280. But we learned songs on a Monday, on the Sunday stay,

  281. we can sing it from the Monday to the hour Saturdays.

  282. We repeat it because we can memorize it, and we

  283. can use that song as a prayer, as a praise

  284. and worship in our client time, in our prayer time.

  285. Not because nothing else better to do, No, because we

  286. learn songs. That's why, until today, forty years as a Christian,

  287. I still remember songs. In nineteen seven, I was not

  288. a christiay in nineteen seventies but people wrote songs in

  289. the seventies and they're ever green. We're say singing you

  290. know any song that's still sing you know come Bless

  291. the or you know born Yet. Okay, you know.

  292. The song because your church would have sung it, come

  293. Bless the Lords written in the seventies, skipture in song.

  294. That's how we say it's a new song, is it?

  295. Who's the songwriter?

  296. Don't know? So it's because we sang it so many times.

  297. We need our songs where we sing on Sunday, not

  298. just repetitive just blur and just sing because it's there.

  299. We sing. We absorb the song that's meaning to it.

  300. Especially when you come on a Sunday and that song

  301. speaks to your heart a war. You shouldn't go back

  302. with the well this song really ministered to me.

  303. Right, then you will take that song and you sing

  304. it from your Mondays to your Saturdays.

  305. Amen. And that's how we learn to worship you using

  306. the songs that we have. The songs are not just

  307. pay lip service to the Lord or to please the

  308. faster steven. No, we are here to sing to the Lord. Amen. Amen.

  309. So I want to encourage us. If you thought that

  310. our time out with the Lord in the secret place

  311. is just to bring our prayer list. Then we make

  312. him now different from Santa Claus. Same thing with Santa Claus.

  313. People don't know the Lord. They come and think that

  314. Christmas is center claus Us. It's the tune say right,

  315. sometimes it's Jesus sometimes and I think they're all the

  316. same thing. No, they're not the same thing. But we

  317. can use that as an opportunity to explain Jesus. Right,

  318. but the list is not. Please give me a phone call,

  319. tell tesla a la. I would just remember one you know, yeah, clang, yeah,

  320. one sister and you know churching clank. She had a

  321. blessed draw and she won a tesla. I want love

  322. to pick up the tesla. You should we pick up

  323. maggy me.

  324. So you know it's not just a list, because then

  325. we don't we make God no different from you know,

  326. a shopping list. You go to Jaya whatever, Gya Gia

  327. grocer and you're shopping and you get a list.

  328. The Lord is more than a list. He wants to

  329. be with you. He wants you to know him. He

  330. wants you to grow in your love and your walk

  331. and your you know, your just relationship with him. Amen,

  332. God is calling us into an intimate relationship, intimate intimate relationships.

  333. He's more than a friend. He is the lover of

  334. our soul. And again Basla has explained this before the

  335. word to know him. The word no has the understanding

  336. of a deep like a marriage between a husband and wife.

  337. There is a deep intimate relationship. God wants you to

  338. come into his heart as he will come into your heart,

  339. and an intimate relationship. I have to say we can

  340. grow in it. I don't think we'll get there because

  341. we are so living this earth for so long, and

  342. then we become a Christian. We think this is prayer.

  343. We don't have a jawstack, we don't have an offering.

  344. We just come as we are. So sometimes I feel

  345. as a follow of Christ, we sometimes take it for

  346. granted because we don't bring offering. MA last time from

  347. a different faith, you know, so I have to bring

  348. the jostick to cut chicken, you know, clean the altar.

  349. I don't know whether you did it at my homeware.

  350. To clean the altar, put the new oil. All that

  351. and do that was worship right. There was an act

  352. of service to the God that I served. But now

  353. that I become a follow of Christ and a believer

  354. in him. He doesn't make us do anything. He says,

  355. come by the blood of the lamb. Come rather to

  356. the throne room of grace. Just come the cross. He

  357. made the way for us, and so we can take

  358. it for granted because there's nothing to bring, nothing to clean.

  359. We are the temple that God deals, lives in, dwells

  360. in a man. So I just think we need to

  361. remind ourselves again He is calling us not just the

  362. prayer list, but a relationship. Amen. Now what we want

  363. to encourage you is as we come in. That's why

  364. these forty days a good time. If you haven't started,

  365. why not start this week next? Light a personal time

  366. away from our busy schedule and the things that easily

  367. distract us. Just for a moment. Takes a moment out

  368. and draw near to God. Okay, Amen, Now, as I

  369. say this, I'm not saying to you that it's easy

  370. for me. Also, it's sometimes challenging because before it's for me,

  371. my time has to be in the morning and anything

  372. else later I give up ready Why because life gets busy.

  373. I much prefer to do it early morning, when there's

  374. no sun yet, because once the sun comes up, I'm

  375. like busy ready. You know, the messages start coming up

  376. when the sun comes out. I don't know why all

  377. the messages start coming are you now? I get distracted, Ah,

  378. the distracted. So I try my best to wake up

  379. before the sun is up. I try to wake up

  380. at sixty possible on a day to day. But if

  381. like not really been very tired, so I might hit

  382. up a six thirty not yet sun up, but a

  383. bit sun up last. So and I try to do

  384. what works for me, what works for you. I think

  385. in the morning, it's good before the day starts that

  386. we can just seek the lot. All right, what's good

  387. for you? Just seek the lot? Whyever? Time that works,

  388. But if you want to make a priority, they're going

  389. to follow. Jesus. Jesus also woke up early morning and

  390. seek the lot. Mark Seek mark one thirty five, Mark

  391. chapter one, verse thirty five. He woke up early in

  392. the morning before the sun came up, and he went

  393. to talk to his father. Amen, So have a personal

  394. time out of your schedule, out of wherever others. And

  395. it's just for a moment. When I say for a moment,

  396. start with fifteen minutes. I did not say five minutes, dude,

  397. fifteen minutes, five minutes. You know you can do like

  398. go to it, let come back. Okay, just for a moment,

  399. fifteen minutes, start with fifteen, then start with thirty minutes

  400. you come away. Even just opening the Bible and reading

  401. is a good way to hear the word, hear God

  402. speaking to us. It may not be anything specific, but

  403. sometimes it could be specific. But you have a reading plan,

  404. So not teaching a reading plan today. I just want

  405. to teach you or remind you about your prayer life. Okay,

  406. so draw near to God. Now. I have a Psalm

  407. twenty seven, but actually waging Actually verse eight I wrote

  408. the wrong number. It's not verse three but verse eight.

  409. So Psalm twenty seven and verse eight. If you read

  410. the NLT, you have a different, simpler English. In the

  411. New King James, it says when you said seek my face,

  412. my heart said to you your face, Lord, I will seek.

  413. This is New King James. So the Lord said seek

  414. my face, my heart said to you your face, Lord,

  415. I will seek. So in the New Living Translation and

  416. LT says my heart has heard you say, come and

  417. talk with me. Wow, it's an invitation, and my heart responded,

  418. see the word heart, because we respond to God with

  419. our whole heart, right, with all my heart, right, I

  420. worship you. Right. So my heart responded and said, Lord,

  421. I am coming. Amen. So God seeks us. Let us

  422. draw near. Amen.

  423. So my heart has heard you say come and talk

  424. with me. My heart responds to say, Lord, I am coming.

  425. So it's verse eight not verse three. Yeah, verse it,

  426. and then we move on to the next one. Jeremiah

  427. twenty nine thirteen says Jeremiah chapter twenty nine, Verse thirteen says,

  428. and you will seek me, and you will seek me

  429. and find me when you search for me with all

  430. your heart. It is not like it's a hide and seek.

  431. You know. God is hiding and you're seeking, and he

  432. say I can't find you.

  433. But he says, when you seek me, you will a

  434. man a man. And when you because when you search

  435. for me with all your heart, you will find me.

  436. How much do you want a man to seek the Lord?

  437. He will be found. He doesn't play hide and seek.

  438. He's not far off, he's near to our hearts.

  439. Jesus has made that possible for us. So if you're

  440. saying I want to seek the Lord, but I think

  441. I can't find him. I want to tell you this

  442. verse says, when you search for him with all your heart,

  443. you will find him. He does not hide away from us.

  444. Even if you feel like I'm not worthy to be

  445. to seek him. I've gone too far, I've done too

  446. much wrong. I don't think he will receive me. That

  447. is not God, because Jesus made away, and that way

  448. truth and life always remains open to anyone who comes.

  449. Come even when we're broken. Come even when we are lacking.

  450. Come when we have fallen. Come when we have drawn

  451. far away from the Lord. Come, he says, He says, Come,

  452. and my heart says, yes, Lord, I will come. Just

  453. come in the secret place, true or not. Friends, when

  454. we have done wrong things, when we have we felt

  455. we were too far away from the Lord, we forgot

  456. you know, to do prayer time for two months already,

  457. and you come now. I can't force you, I can't

  458. pull you. But when you do come and you quieten

  459. your heart, the Lord is dead. You just say, Lord here,

  460. I am. I'm sorry. Jesus, I've been far.

  461. Lord, forgive me, but I want to renew my love,

  462. for I want to renew my walk.

  463. I want to renew my time with you. I want

  464. to renew my favor and trust in you. I believe

  465. with all my heart the Lord does come. You just

  466. have to receive it by faith, and as you take

  467. that step, the Lord will be there for us, no

  468. matter how far we've gone, how broken out. You know,

  469. I remember when I was eighteen, nineteen years old. I

  470. told you this story. I I just didn't disobeyed my

  471. mom and I had a boyfriend and went out with him.

  472. He wasn't buster.

  473. Quickly den it's not me and my boyfriend, but my

  474. parents did not allow me to have my boyfriend. Reading

  475. I'm thinking, I'm nineteen, I'm a big girl. They're so straight. Oh,

  476. I'm like, oh, boring?

  477. And then uh.

  478. And then I went to when when to watch a

  479. movie and didn't tell her. After school, she calls my

  480. best friend? What are best friends for?

  481. She told her where I was? What a best friend?

  482. And then to save me, came home. I lied to

  483. my mom. That's it. Don't I know where you went?

  484. And that was it? Wow, she said, you liked to

  485. drama in the house. Drama mama, And then she was

  486. very angry. She didn't trust me. It was very difficult.

  487. I went through like, oh, you know, to to get

  488. your parents angry with you, it's like halflower. But it

  489. was very difficult because she was very upset. So even

  490. when I went to the Lord, you know you didn't.

  491. I didn't go to the lot immediately. It was so

  492. difficult because you liked your mom's like lying to God right,

  493. like my mom. So finally I mustered all my courage

  494. and I went and talked to Jesus, and the Lord

  495. spoke to me to some fifty one. And you know

  496. what some fifty one is about. It's the prayer of

  497. David who had gone way out of right, really way out.

  498. Don't even bring the woman's name, but yeah, he's sin

  499. and I read it. The word says you, I've sin

  500. against the Lord and only the Lord, not even to mom,

  501. because I lied to my mom, right, I didn't tell

  502. her the truth. So oh, yes, Lord, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

  503. I forgive me, and so the Lord forgives. But it

  504. took a long time before my mom forgave me. What

  505. did I have to do. I had to deal it

  506. with the Lord first, say sorry to mom. She not happy.

  507. I can't do anything about it. I have to carry

  508. on in my life because I can't just live like, yeah,

  509. I've seen love. But God opens that door for us,

  510. as I say, it's easier for you and I to

  511. come to Jesus then to come to a man and

  512. woman because they will remember your sin forever, right until

  513. do they remember David sin? Right? But Sheba, But God

  514. doesn't when you're ask him for forgiveness there and then

  515. he takes that and he throws it into the depths

  516. of the sea, never to remember because what he sees

  517. is the blood of Jesus over us. That is the

  518. way we have. He made away. We sing some that

  519. you made away. What's yeah, He makes a way for

  520. us and we come. Men will never forgive us. They will,

  521. they will find it hard.

  522. But this relationship that God has for us is to

  523. always have a fresh jalah, a fresh road to come

  524. to the Lord.

  525. The cross reconciles us to God. The Lord wants a relationship.

  526. And it's just like that relationship when you have a

  527. relationship with someone that that kind of fatherly, the father relationship.

  528. God always accepts us back any time. He accepts us

  529. when you repent, when you turn and you don't go

  530. around blaming God. You take responsibility. You say, Lord, forgive me.

  531. He calls us, he wants us. He's waiting for us,

  532. a man. When you seek him, you will find him.

  533. I want to assure you and I that to establish

  534. our prayer life with him, a man is part and

  535. passive out what we amen. So I want to give

  536. you a few steps for you to continue if you

  537. haven't started. This is one recommendation for you. If you

  538. already have one grade, keep going by. You're thinking, how

  539. can I establish this? So we'll look at Exodus thirty four,

  540. Verse two to three and verse five. Amen. So you

  541. can turn to Exodus, the Book of Exodus, chapter thirty four.

  542. And I use this as a guide for myself. It's

  543. a good reminder. I learned this many many years ago

  544. in a Bible class in my home church, and I've

  545. always remembered it. So what are them guidelines for us?

  546. Yea.

  547. Let's look at the verse verse yea, Verse two to three. Now,

  548. do you remember the story of Moses.

  549. He went up forty days and forty nights, and God

  550. was speaking to him and gave him the two Tablets

  551. the Ten Commandments. He came down and there was partying

  552. down down in the valley, and Josh was saying, oh,

  553. look there's a sound of war, and God said, no, no, no,

  554. there's sound a partying.

  555. And they got down to the valley. The people were

  556. really partying. Okay, they had a golden calf. Then they

  557. were worshiping the idol because they said, what it is

  558. is more than a month la, Right, So they said, hey, Aaron,

  559. bro your brother Moses has gone up and we don't

  560. know what happened.

  561. To him, Charla. Maybe he died, maybe God consumed him.

  562. Why thinking so long hasn't come? Come on, man, make

  563. us God, make us a God. I don't know why

  564. Aaron made a god for them? What did he tell?

  565. Moses said, very what happened? And he said, I don't know.

  566. They gave me this goal. I threw it in the

  567. fire and out came this calf. So creative, you know.

  568. He said, they gave me the goal. I threw it

  569. into the fire, it says, and out came this calf.

  570. He lied because he made the calf and God and

  571. Moses was so hard broken. He was upset. He's like,

  572. how can you do? What did you promise God that

  573. you're worshiping? What are you people doing. Oh you know,

  574. there was the come and divide. You don't choose God

  575. or choose this calf from something like that, and all

  576. the livers and he signed, and wow, people died that day.

  577. That was a plague because God said I and I

  578. only shall be your God. But you go and worship

  579. this golden calf memory of what they saw in Egypt.

  580. So our egypts, our past, can can, can can can

  581. continue to follow us in the future. We're gonna put

  582. a stop to death. So this is when it was

  583. a true we were so angry. True God boom through

  584. the ten commas and through timeless and he broke Alamah

  585. cannot say. So he was so upset or I don't know,

  586. He's like what And then God says, okay, come on up,

  587. I'll give it to you again. So he goes up

  588. another forty days. Oh my, he stayed there for our

  589. forty days and forty nights. Well, very good at its

  590. fasting eighty days, he must be very thin. So he

  591. goes up and this is where the Lord say, come

  592. up again. And then here he says, and the Lord

  593. said to Moses vers one cut two tablets of stone

  594. like the first ones and I will write on these

  595. tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which

  596. you broke. Okay, see God's very good. You broke, all right.

  597. He didn't just say with the tablets that broke. You broke.

  598. So you're go and bring back two tablets for me now.

  599. And then he says, now be ready in the morning,

  600. and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and

  601. present yourself to me there on the top of the

  602. mountain verse three. And no man shall come up with you,

  603. and let no man be seen throughout all the mountain,

  604. like neither flocks nor herds feet before that mountain. Amen

  605. said look a so verse two. So number one, get ready.

  606. That's what he said, Come on, Moses, get ready in

  607. the morning. There was a set time, people, there is

  608. a set time to do your private quiet time with Jesus.

  609. Not like today I do in the morning. Tomorrow I

  610. do it at night. Next day I do in the afternoon,

  611. amtea time. It feels it looks to us that he said,

  612. please be ready in the morning and come up in

  613. the morning. So there is a set time. You have

  614. to have a set time, like how you meet your friend,

  615. you make an appointment, you meet your friend there and

  616. then it's come up. Come up now. I want to

  617. encourage you. If you are those people do quiet time

  618. in the morning, get out of your bid. If you're

  619. do your quiet time your mada and I try to

  620. all right. Even if you kneel beside your maid, you

  621. might just go off to sleep. So come up so

  622. they see there's a come up meaning you leave whatever

  623. you're doing and leave that space and come up. Okay,

  624. go to that place and then present yourself. Amen, see

  625. the Lord said, and present yourself, so there is a

  626. moving away from something you're used to and set aside

  627. another space. Come up and then present yourself. So people,

  628. brush your teeth, change underwear, were your t shirt? Don't

  629. go naked to Jesus. Okay, put on your clothes. Boys,

  630. I don't know.

  631. Okay, you're all right anyway, Just come up and present

  632. yourself to the Lord.

  633. Okay, brush your teeth. Don't give dragon reth to Jesus. Okay,

  634. rush your tip and then wash your face. At least

  635. you wake up, have a shower. So I always brush

  636. my teeth. I always brush your teeth, our shower, our change,

  637. and I'll go to my come up place. Okay, you

  638. know I do. Otherwise I fall asleep, so I don't

  639. go in my you know, no, I brush my change

  640. and I go into my quiet room.

  641. So get ready at a set time, come up to

  642. the Lord, present yourself.

  643. Got it? Can now? The next one is no other

  644. person goes with you. So if you are married and

  645. you know those who do premage counseling, I've gone to

  646. you all, not me and my other counselors. What do

  647. we say quiet time? Do work together?

  648. No?

  649. Quiet time? You separate yourself. Oh you're not Times's twins.

  650. Anywhere you go, I go with you. No, you feel

  651. like that when you're dating. Whever you marry people, Hello,

  652. just go and do your coitter husband and wife.

  653. Do your separate quiet then, because when Jesus calls you,

  654. you won't call you me said missus.

  655. Cong I know your twins, but.

  656. Not even Samuel and Stephen. It will be seven Samuel, right, Telly.

  657. You won't call you together. So your quiet time personal

  658. is with the Lord. God knows you as his son,

  659. he knows you as his daughter. Yeah, yes, you are married,

  660. but there will be another time. You want to pray together.

  661. You can set them up, but you and the Lord

  662. come your own. So he says, don't bring anyone with you. Okay,

  663. don't bring anyone like me, if possible. But I understand

  664. young moms. The baby is stuck to you cause have

  665. to nurse the baby. So maybe you have to bring

  666. your baby some I know young mothers will have a

  667. lot of challenges. Got to wake up, maybe didn't even

  668. sleep the whole night, and how so again adjust accordingly.

  669. They basically set your own time. All right, that works

  670. for you. Maybe you have to bring baby, or maybe

  671. for a little while.

  672. When the baby sleeps, quickly jump and jump into another

  673. room and pray before your baby wakes up in five minutes.

  674. Okay, so no other person to go with you. You

  675. present yourself to the Lord. Now bring nothing that will

  676. distract you. Why because he said, don't bring your flocks

  677. or your hurts. So sometimes we are very we think

  678. about our work. So he didn't. Now Moses was a shepherd.

  679. He said, don't bring your flocks, don't bring your sheep,

  680. So don't bring your work. Best thing, don't bring your book.

  681. Don't even know quiet time in front of your desktop.

  682. I cannot if I do want with my notebook. If

  683. I got to quiet time, my notebooks sitting there. That's

  684. it because I might open it and flip and then

  685. dess it. It's work already, right, so don't do that.

  686. Leave everything your hand phone. Even worse still, you'll see

  687. your red Bible from your handphone. Please don't laugh your

  688. handful unless you switch off the Wi Fi and whatever data.

  689. Then then you don't get ding ding ding ding ding

  690. ding ding. Okay, you can't switch it off, mobile data off,

  691. and then maybe like just I say, get yourself printed

  692. by ball Man. Then you use this for your quiet time.

  693. Don't bring your phone very distracting. I give it very distractive.

  694. If I take my phone, focus is my clock la,

  695. you have to put it then do quiet time here.

  696. So don't bring anything that will distract you. It could

  697. be anything, okay, friends, I don't know. If you want

  698. to have your coffee, bring it along or have it

  699. first and then do your quiet time because you get distracted,

  700. you thinking coffee coffee. Coffee for me is my lobe,

  701. so I better drink my loaf for oh. If I

  702. bring my Milo, fine, I can see it, but it's

  703. not going to distract me. But you can't. Really, it's

  704. not not very honoring to God. It's like coming to

  705. the King, right and coming to the Lord. I don't

  706. want to save you. And you're like, so HOWE like that?

  707. You know, have some honor to the Lord, right, That's

  708. why I dress up. I change babe, my babe every day,

  709. and then I come and see Jesus and no, come on,

  710. I think we should have some honor for the Lord Loud. Okay,

  711. there's my there's I won't teach you. I teach you better, lad,

  712. I don't teach you whatever. Okay, so bring nothing that

  713. will distract you. And then the promise in verse five,

  714. he says that. So when he says in verse five,

  715. now the Lord descended in the cloud, stood with him

  716. there and proclaimed the name of the Lord. And the

  717. Lord the Lord met with him. But you cannot see God,

  718. because nobody can see God. You put him in the

  719. cleft of the rock, and he passed by. And then

  720. Moses's probably the only one who saw the back of

  721. the Lord as the Lord declared that he is faithful, Amen,

  722. that he forgives, Amen, he keeps mercy, forgives iniquity. See,

  723. he says that I'm patient, I'm bounding with goodness and truth.

  724. So the law will meet with us. As you said,

  725. the time. You cannot set it on day one and

  726. if nothing happens, you give up. You need to do

  727. this for twenty one days. Then will become a habit.

  728. You cannot do it for one day and then id

  729. it happen two days? Nothing? I know? Sound knows recur

  730. on Grea. You haven't even heard. You haven't exercised the

  731. one you call it the getting used to that voice

  732. right right now? Okay, Sam Man way Ben, you just

  733. got married, I mean before when you're did you won't

  734. remember each other sound or a voice. Yet, not so

  735. soon until liter or does it? Not like you snaw,

  736. you need time to get used to a sound, to

  737. you know the voice. Then it takes time twenty one days.

  738. I think if you can keep at it, a good

  739. habit will be developed. In any case, in anything, it

  740. takes about twenty one to twenty eight days to break

  741. a bad habit or to start a new habit. Generally. Okay,

  742. so here you go, the Lord, we'll meet with you.

  743. These are some simple steps for you to come into

  744. the secret place. I want to encourage us, because why

  745. do we want to encourage prayer friends? I feel that

  746. our church has gone to place of complacency where prayer

  747. is concerned with your on fire. You're here for press

  748. service anything you will pray, but we are not coming

  749. to press services. Therefore, it tells me you might not

  750. be praying at home because your life is just too busy. Studies, work, children,

  751. other socials. You have pickuba, you will make an appointment

  752. and you will keep your pickleball appointment. Mind you, and

  753. you pay money for it. I don't know how much

  754. I haven't played yet. My my kiki team all ever

  755. ever ready to play kke pickleball ever ready Sunday or so?

  756. He tells us what our priorities are that we will

  757. we will go for it. We will wow every every day.

  758. I can play ten o'clock to twelve midnight playing Pickuball

  759. now actually come for press service eight pm to nine

  760. thirty only, Okayler and okay, I know most of you

  761. drive from very far away to come here. I mean

  762. we live there. That is gonna come many. So he

  763. tells us, No, you can be busy, but we all

  764. have to make because we desire. We want our church

  765. to grow. We want to see us reach out to people.

  766. We want to pray. So we come. That's where you

  767. all come from away from another land, and you come

  768. here in the gym. There's thorough gam here, th rough

  769. gem from where you are, from your workplace and from

  770. other parts of this whole big So many year I

  771. don't even know.

  772. This place, and you come. I have to say revival.

  773. We need revival, We need revival ex church. We started great,

  774. we need to continue great. We cannot drop the ball.

  775. And God told us to take the forty days for

  776. prayer and for and we are saying, read the word

  777. of God, so that may the Holy Spirit feelers touch us,

  778. revive our hearts. I'm not saying I oh, after four

  779. days all gonna happen, But it's a start. Join up

  780. us given right right if where, if we really enjoy prayer,

  781. press service will be here, semina and prayer, it will

  782. be packed.

  783. Unfortunately it's not packed. Nobody comes for press seminas year,

  784. press semina, don't need to.

  785. Come pick up all. How to be better, Yes, I'll

  786. be there, It's true. It's like that. How to make

  787. more money, I'll be there. How to find your life partner,

  788. I'll be there. Come and pray.

  789. You cannot love. So that's why Jesus, it's not if

  790. you pray. When you pray, it's a when you pray.

  791. Friends, there's no such thing as if, because we will

  792. all need, we will need prayer. Even the heathen will pray,

  793. pray to what they don't know a love, but pray

  794. meaning they will if there's a God somewhere. You show

  795. yourself up to me, So believe us, the beloved of

  796. the Lord. Ask the Lord to give you a fresh

  797. afresh afresh a man, a fresh heart, a fresh perspective

  798. about where my prayer life is, so that I can

  799. come and pray with the believers, break bread together, read

  800. God word, God's work together, pray together. It's not wasting

  801. your time. It's investing into things that build the Kingdom

  802. of God, that builds the life of other believers. You

  803. feel died, You think I don't feel diet, bros. Hey,

  804. you see in your I travel to different places to

  805. visit the church members. You know, I don't ask them

  806. to come and see me. I go to them. And

  807. I'm not twenty five. Yes, old, Okay, it's tiring, it's

  808. getting tiring, but I don't give up, right, I just okay,

  809. tired am I When I get there, I'm gonna be okay.

  810. And so when I get there, I am okay. Because

  811. together they're all praying together, worshiping together, praying for different needs.

  812. Sometimes you think, but we're praying for the same thing.

  813. Word we need to, we need to. Did you know

  814. your prayer for all the nations matter that? Did you

  815. know that that day could have been an accident but didn't.

  816. The earthquake in Osaka did not touch our missionaries. So

  817. you might think it's the same prayer, but that prayer

  818. was important. The pressure. Are you praying again for our pastors?

  819. Way you don't pray? Who pray the need the demon's prayer?

  820. No wann We have to cover our pastors, our leaders,

  821. our home leaders, our partners. You don't think that your

  822. pastors pray for you, but he does.

  823. He might not know your name, but he knows these

  824. are the partners in our church, and.

  825. He lives them up before the Lord. So you might

  826. think nobody prays.

  827. Somebody spraying even if nobody prays, Jesus is interceeding. But

  828. that's Jesus, our faithful Lord. So how about us follow

  829. the example of our Christ even though we are tired

  830. after work we come.

  831. Amen, praise the Lord. So there you go. I'll leave

  832. you with these five points from the more than five points,

  833. but these little steps so that you would take time

  834. to come into the secret place, because the Lord sees

  835. in secret you have a need you seek the Lord.

  836. Guess what he says. Sure, you come to me in

  837. a secret place. But when I reward you, everyone's going

  838. to see it. That's how he works. I see you

  839. in the secret, but the but the result of it,

  840. or the answered prayer, it will be in the open,

  841. meaning you will get to testify. Then every press service

  842. that's testimony, not any god testimony, Nobody anyone.

  843. Because we're not asking, because we're not asking the Lord.

  844. You're asking all your connections. You're asking men again. You

  845. recommend me to their job again, you help me with

  846. But did you even think that your heavenly father wants

  847. to hear you?

  848. And then don't say but I asked ready, he never

  849. answered hello? How many times did you knock when you're desperate?

  850. You know people are desperateor they call me non stop,

  851. No desperate, It didn't happen take two times? Three times?

  852. One?

  853. Why this wasn't call me three times? Then? Finally I

  854. can take the call. De'sperate because something happened. They need

  855. help what to do? Then we got testimony. I sat

  856. to tet myself. If I don't pray, don't ask for

  857. you know God, this I'm in this situation. Would you

  858. help me, I won't have a testim. I need to

  859. share and remind myself that as well, guilty is given

  860. as well. Sometimes don't I got you know hother? You

  861. know already what? But it's not the praer list, it's

  862. the relationship. And when you come into a relationship, naturally

  863. you say, he know what, Lord, I got this project

  864. quite hat. Lo, Yo, the bosser don't really like my face.

  865. Sometimes I also like a face. What can I say?

  866. All the teachers in the room, yo, the student killing

  867. me so many papers and Mark, no, I help me

  868. this simple pricey thing. That's God bothered with simple price

  869. He is so busy. Don't stop him. No, he can't

  870. do anything he's able to. We just have to trust.

  871. What does he have for us? And what is it

  872. that God, God has instol for us? And he said

  873. come and seek me. So I'm not saying don't bring

  874. a prayer list. I'm saying there is a pralist, but

  875. more than the prelist, which you develop the inner room,

  876. the inner chamber, make room for Jesus, a man, go

  877. into the deep. Where's the deep in our hearts? Make

  878. room for Jesus. And then and then come into that

  879. secret inner room and talk with him. Amen, and encourage you.

  880. Anything that you bothers, you speak to him, even in

  881. your even in your life, even if it's sin. You

  882. tell Jesus, I'm sorry, I really hurt this person with

  883. my words. Lord. I need forgiveness. Maybe the person won't

  884. forgive me, but I need God's forgiveness first. And then

  885. what do I do next? Amen? So this inner room,

  886. inner chamber, secret place. Coming to it is so that

  887. you build a relationship with the Lord. You are one

  888. with him. You're walking, not only living in the spirit,

  889. you are also walking in a spirit. And the Holy

  890. Spirit was given to us as our helper. He's a person.

  891. He is the third person in the God Hid, the Father, Son,

  892. and Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one that

  893. comes and helps us. He breathes into us. He helps

  894. us when we cannot. And it is a spirit that

  895. is stirring in our hearts. When you feel stirred up.

  896. It's really the spirit of God a man, and he

  897. works in us. So I would encourage you church to

  898. really take that bull step. If you haven't been talking

  899. to the Lord, come and talk to him a man.

  900. Don't don't only wait for you know. When you go problem,

  901. bring the problem, bring the no problem. Bring as you are.

  902. Just quieten down, choose a chair, take your bible, take

  903. a journal, a book, Write down what you what you see.

  904. Sometimes I see pictures, so I draw the picture in

  905. my mind what I see and how God shows me himself.

  906. So you draw, you write or a verse comes right.

  907. Please do not treat chet Gipt as your God.

  908. Because I have one of our friends, one of our

  909. grand friends. She was so frustrated with the husband. She

  910. talked to chet Gibuty to give her comfort. I said, girl,

  911. please don't do that.

  912. I just need to talk about talk to Jesus, call

  913. us we are human. Ah. Yeah, I'm sorry, because I

  914. doesn't even understand what she was trying to tell him.

  915. You know, so that is not good. Although that sounds

  916. like someone's talking to you, but it is ai. It's artificial.

  917. Do you remember what it means? Artificial? It has knowledge,

  918. but it can never replace the spirit of God. It

  919. has good knowledge, and you can take good knowledge, but

  920. it doesn't work just for your spirit. It doesn't. It

  921. doesn't doesn't feed your spirit. It feeds your knowledge. Remember,

  922. the inner room is where here, here you need the

  923. Holy Spirit. Amen, be careful. I mean this is the

  924. real thing, jipt. Everybody's telling me this, that is that,

  925. And now they're saying, yeah, yeah, I spoke. I'm like, hello,

  926. is this? Can you stop it? You're gonna talk to Jesus? Okay, Oh,

  927. you tell your husband now you're not happy with if

  928. please do not talk to yt. Better you tell your us. Well, Liszi,

  929. you know you talk behind that you're talking behind his back.

  930. I said, you better tell him, and so I also

  931. know we look for ways to find expression, but we

  932. are so not willing to find the way of the Cross.

  933. They're so not willing because you have to wait, because

  934. you have to wait until something turns in our heart.

  935. It takes time. Any relationship in the natural takes time.

  936. It takes time. Right, If the longer you get to

  937. know someone, you the better you know them, you know

  938. you can call them easily. Right in marriage is true,

  939. in friendship is true. Ministry is true. If I see

  940. if I don't have confidence in passus Steven, I don't

  941. really know if I call him suddenly him, I scholl

  942. me wonder how man years I know him readily quite long,

  943. so to pick up the phone and call somehow, I

  944. won't try to call him simply, but I really really

  945. need to, Okay, I just take my chances like hello, Now,

  946. I have to expect that he ain't gonna s call

  947. me la mota, you know. So if that iona, because

  948. there is a relationship, at least a level of relationship,

  949. and that's where we are with God as well. Amen,

  950. please come, The Lord says, come, and you say I

  951. will come. Amen. And then and the Lord says, if

  952. you seek me with all of your heart, you will

  953. find me. And and I'm saying to you, if you

  954. don't know how to do it, I just gave you

  955. a formula, formula away from so the thirty four to

  956. just set up yourself to slowly, slowly over the next

  957. few days, give yourself twenty one days at Lisa practice Ler.

  958. You can't give up. It takes time.

  959. Any relationship takes time. Some relationship don't happen in twenty

  960. one days. How long already you're studying Gale there, we

  961. get to know you.

  962. Quite long now. Ooh Fortin News, it's a long time

  963. right in Fourtein News. I never make for him a

  964. bas la, right, So that's why we're saying it takes

  965. time and we build it on different levels, and we've

  966. got he. There's no levels. He's here.

  967. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
