Today I'll be sharing continuing series that I've been doing.

So it it is on disciples ship, but it is

touching on the Sermon on the Mount. Okay, sermon on

the Mound. So we have covered the first two beattitudes, okay,

So I just wanted to give a short refresher before

I go into today's message. All right, So first of all,

probably I get the first slide. Okay, So discipleship again,

just to make sure everyone, all of us are on

the same page on what discipleship is. It is we

learn from Jesus, we live like Jesus, and then we

tell others about Jesus. Okay, that is what discipleship is,

all right. And the Sermon on the Mound was actually

one of Jesus's first sermons and also known as one

of his greatest sermons. And it starts with the word blessed. Right,

so y'all know it's we covered the first two. So

the word blessed I wanted to bring y'all to help

y'all remember again what is blessed? Next? So what is blessed.

What is blessed? Blessed is? So there are two definitions

to the word blessed. I touched previously as well. There

are two definitions. One is if you look at somebody

and say, whoa this person is so blessed. Doesn't mean

that this eat a lot looks very happy. Maybe, So

when you look at a person, the person is like

breaming with joy, full of joy. You know, you look

at a person, right and a person may not be

going through the easiest of situations. But you look at

a person, the person is full of joy. You'll be like,

you are not supposed to be happy. How come you

can be happy? Or how come you can have joy?

How come you still have hope? Okay? So that is

one definition, which is deep joy from walking God's way,

and that's the definition that we're going for in this Berattitudes.

The other definition is God's favor. So it's like, Wow,

God bless me with this job. God bless me with

good health. So that is God's favor that is shining

on you. So when we're talking about the beattitudes, it

is talking about if you have if you follow, you

will be walking in deep joy, you know. So the

first beatitude. The first beatitude was maybe we go to

slight six the first beratitude. Let me read this right

from Matthew chapter five. And seeing the multitudes, he went

up on a mountain, and when he was seated, his

disciples came to him, and then he opened his mouth

and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit,

for the hours is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are

those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. And today

we'll be touching on. Blessed are the meek, for they

shall inherit the earth. Okay, so blessed are the poor

in spirit? What is poor in spirit? I sort of

came up with that the tagline, the tagline which we

go to slide four. So we did the pride and

God steps inside. So when we are in poor in spirit,

it means that we know that a God on our own,

we can't do anything. We need you. We need your help.

We can't save ourselves. So no matter how good you are,

you can't earn your way into heaven. You know that

is being poor in spirit. We know that spiritually we

are bankrupt. We need God. And only when we come

to that place, of poor in spirit, where God step in, Okay,

Because God is a jealous god. He wants to be

in the center of our lives, all right, because he

knows that if he's not the center of our lives,

then we are prone to destroy ourselves. And He loves

us too much to let us destroy ourselves. That's why

he wants to be center of our lives. So when

we allow him, he steps inside. Okay. So that is

poor in spirit. Okay. So when you're poor in spirit,

the ass is the Kingdom of heaven, right, So that's

when God gives us salvation. The second one was blessed

are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted? Right,

Blessed are those who mourn for day shad shall be comforted.

I think Edlin said that that was the sermon that

Ip preached two weeks ago. So all of us will

go through grief, all of us, none of us are

exempt from that. You know, all of us will go

through tough times, set times, and this be attitude tells us.

That promises us that even though you go through tough times,

you can still have deep joy if we put our

trust in God, because he will comfort us. So if

we go to Slight five Beyond the Brokenness. So that

was the title of my previous sermen, beyond the brokenness.

When we are broken, we think it's the end. We

think full stop. Okay, I feel like giving up, there

is no more hope. But God is telling us there

is always hope, and that is beyond the brokenness. So

when it's beyond the brokenness, we go through grief, but

we don't stop at grief. We then allow God to

grow us. And when He allows us to grow, then

he will empower us to go and take go and

take on new territory. So it is never the final destination.

You know, grief is never the final destination. You know.

God is always there to comfort us. So today the verse,

like what I mentioned, Blessed are the meek, for they

shall inherit the earth. Okay, let's say add the meek,

for they shall inherit the earth. So what does it

mean to be meek? What does it mean to be meek?

It is not a very popular word. Okay, how many

of your in your LinkedIn profile you put there meek?

It's not it's not like I mean, it's not something. Yeah,

it doesn't seem cool right when you go for interview.

It's your top qualities I meet. You know, you don't

really put that there, right, Why why don't you put

it there? Yeah, because you have some of the perception

of meek is that you're weak. Our perception of meek

is that your pushover or someone who yeah, may not

some missive, may not have your own opinions. You know,

But how come the Bible tells us that, hey, blessed

are the meek? How come you know, it's it's quite ironic,

right if this is the third thing that Jesus said

this in his sermon, you know. So that is when

when when I did what was going through this to

prepare this, right, I was trying to understand why is

it so? Because Jesus saw the value in being meek,

and Jesus said, if those blessed are those who are meek,

for they will inherit the kingdom of earth. Right, So

there must be something to it. So when I one

of the definitions of one of the Bible dictionaries right next,

like meek is actually gentle meek the positive moral quality

of dealing with people in a kind manner with humility

and consideration. Okay, this is the definition of meek from

the Greek contexts, okay, there is so even as I

was studying this, right, I give you all a bit

more context. The New Testament was written in Greek, but

Jesus was a Jew, so Jesus spoke it in Hebrew. Right,

So there's two different languages, and every time you translate

from one language to another, the meaning sort of the first.

So from Greek, this is the definition, you know when

Matthew wrote it, But when it translates to English and

suddenly you say, hey, meek is weak. But that is

not the case because in Greek it's say, is dealing

with people in a kind manner, with humility and consideration.

So in another sense, right, meekness, right is about humility?

Is being humble, you know, it's being humble. Another the

Hebrew definition of meek touches on someone who really cannot

help themselves, someone who is marginalized, someone who is outcast.

So when you are outchivet, you are marginalized and all this,

and the Bible said, blessed are those who are marginalized

or outcast, for they will inherit the kingdom of heaven.

What does that mean? It sounds like an oxymoron. It

sounds like the opposite. But only when we know that

we can't help ourselves, we allow God to step in

and help us. And when God steps in and help us,

the world is the is our oyster. In that sense.

That's why they said the kingdom of earth. They will

inherit the kingdom of her all right. So there's two contexts, right,

But today I wanted to share in terms of this,

all right, in manner of humility and consideration. So there

is a one quote that I found which is this.

So meekness is a combination of patience, gentleness, and complete

submission to the will of God. Meekness is learning to

be self controlled instead of needing to be in control.

All right. So it is really about submitting to the

will of God, and it's about self control. You know

when you look at this and then you look at

this definition and then you suddenly say that he, why

is this not a good quality that I want to

put in my resume. It's because of the understanding of

the word. Because once we understand the word, then we

can claim God's promises. If we misunderstand what is written

in the Bible, then we might cast it aside. Right.

Another illustration. I think if you've been in church for

some time you might be familiar with this illustration on meekness.

So the next lighte So look at this. This is

a picture of a wild stallion, wild hosts, right, look

at it. It has When you look at the picture already,

you can feel the energy, you can feel the power.

This is raw horsepower. Okay, when horsepower came from horses, obviously,

and this one you can see is raw horsepower. You know.

The horse, I mean it has the capacity and the

capability to run fast, run far, you know. But one

thing is it's wild. When it's wild and anyone tries

to ride on the horse, what happens. They make a

spot out of it. It's called a rodeo. Have you

all seen a rodeo. A rodeo is when they get yeah,

if you watch all those cowboy shows or western shows, right,

A rodeo is when they take a wild horse who

is one of the strongest, wildest horses, who is untamable,

and they bring it into an arena, all right, and

then they see which cowboy can stay on the horse

the longest. All right. I think y'all would have played

that iron bull if you go to some fun fast

those iron bull kind of thing which try to swing

you off. So the cowboy right will sit on this

wild horse, and once they let go of the gate right,

the horse will bolt, It will run as fast, it

will start trying everything it can do to throw the

rider off right. It's a very very high risk spot.

It's a very high risk spot. A lot of people

get injured, broken bones, broken arms, legs, everything, because the

horse is raw power and the cowboys are not able

to take it right. But think about it, right, with

all this raw power, what can you get out of it?

Can you get this horse to get you from point

A to point B? No? Can you with this raw power?

Does it allow you to transport heavy items? No? Because

this raw power is raw, you can't use it at all.

You know. It's like a storm in the sea. The

storm in the sea has so much of raw energy

that it can destroy ships, it can it can kill

so many people at sea. But the power of that

storm is not able to be harnessed. And the same

thing for these wild horses. So these wild horses, they

go through a breaking procession where the cow the horse trainers.

They will tame the horses to a point where the

horses become calm. The horses become calm, and finally the

riders can ride on these horses. Right, and when they

ride on these horses, the horses in that sense become meek.

Did the horse lose any of its power? No, the

horse did not lose any of its power, because the

horse can still run as far and as fast, if

not further, if not faster, you know, because right now

the horse is under control of the rider, and the

rider can dictate the horses potential even and when that

happens right, the horse can suddenly do much more than

what the house could have done on its own in

the wild. And that is actually one of the illustrations

of the word meek. We might have so much of

potential or talent. God has given all of us different gifts,

different talents, right, But then if we don't surrender it

to God and we say hey, I know better, I

know better, you know what will happen. You know, it

will come to a place where we were like God,

you will hit a brick wall, you will face crisis,

and then you suddenly realize that, hey, I can't do

it on my own. And then we need God. Right,

So the next line, so, what does meekness have to

go do with God? If God said blessed are those

who are meek, what does meekness have to do with God?

So we have to understand right that Jesus he preached

this sermon to disciples. He preached these sermons to disciples

to teach them how to live so that they can

have deep joy. And when he said Blessed are those

who are meek, he's saying that if you are meek,

you will have deep joy, and people all around you

can see that you have deep joy. So in that sense,

as disciples, we have to learn to become meek. We

have to learn to become meek because only then we

can glorify God and people can see that through our

lives that hey, this person, he has so much raw power,

but he's still so in control, you know. And this

beattitudes is actually teaching us how to live our lives.

So being meek is actually a conscious decision, similar to

poor in spirit. So that's why I also did a

Google search what's the difference of poor in spirit versus meek?

Seems like the same poor in spirit is acknowledging that

no matter how good we are, we can't get into heaven.

It's not by our own good work, right, we need

God to God to save us. Being meek is not

depending on our own strength, but letting God take control. Okay,

So there are a few points, four points that I

wanted to bring across today in how we should live

our lives. What does meek look like? And how does

it look for us living a life of meekness? And

hopefully that will change our perspective on the word meek. Okay,

So the first one is trust. There are fourties. I

tried my best to put it all in the same letters.

So the first one is t trust trust in God. Okay.

For a wild horse to be able to be tamed

by the trainer, the wild horse needs to build The

trainer needs to build trust with that wild horse, because

why would the wild horse both because it thinks that

everyone is an enemy, everyone is out to get them

out for their own gain, and they do not trust

their trainer. But for us, do we trust that God

is good? Do we trust that He has our best

intentions in mind? You know? So that is the first

point trust. So let me take us to a verse

in some study seven. So some study seven there is

there is a verse in some study seven verse let

me just pull it to the end. Okay, Anthony maybe

goes slight thirty one, So remember some thirty seven. Now

see Pals Thirty seven. Verse eleven is this, but the

meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in

the abundance of peace. So p. Thirty seven is actually

in line with what is shad in Matthew chapter five.

So you see the Old Testament and the New Testament,

they are always they never contradict each other. Whatever is

shad in the Old Testament, Jesus also shares it in

the New Testament. The word of God never contradicts each other.

So I wanted us to look at this. But the

meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in

the abundance of peace. So it's the same promise that

Jesus gave. But what was interesting for me is the word.

But so it means that, oh, there must be a

wrong way of doing things, and there must be some

things that we have to do so that we can

inherit the earth and have abundance of peace. Okay, So

that is a bit of the context. So now if

we go back to slide thirteen, so this is worse

five Just now A's verse eleven. So verse five, commit

your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and

he shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth

your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

So in verse five he says, trust also in him.

Without trust, it is impossible to let go. It's impossible.

So in the context right when, like just now, when

Adeleine was sharing her testimony when she heard about a

big sea. Right, not only in Adeline's case, but in

most of all our cases. We will come to a

point where we can't do anything, right, we can't do anything,

and that is when we have to trust in God.

But do we have to wait until we come to

a place where we can't do anything? Then only we

trust in God, you know, because we should trust in

God in all circumstances. For example, like if I have

enough money, I don't have to trust in God for

my next meal. Right, you're not even thinking about it,

You're not even trusting God for it, because you know

that you can provide for more your meal. And that's

why we say grace over our meal, because we remind

ourselves that thank God for providing us this meal, or

even our jobs. How many of us tomorrow you're looking

forward to Monday? Not really, But we actually trusted God

for our jobs. He's the one that gave us our jobs.

And once we are normal, we come to terms with

it and it becomes business as usual. Suddenly we just

think that, oh, I don't have the trust in God anymore.

I know that I have a job to go to tomorrow.

I know that my salary will coming at this time.

I know I can take care of the bills. And

suddenly the trust in God reduces and the trust inself increases.

When the trust in self increases, we are no longer

being meek because we are not surrendering control to God.

You know. So that is something that we're pretty aware of. Problems. Three,

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean

not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge

Him and he shall direct your path. Trust in the

Lord with all your heart. This is like yesterday over lunch,

few of us over lunch after our leaders meeting, we

were just chatting. Right right now, It is much easier

to trust yourself then earlier days. You know what, Now

you've got chet GPT, you got you just put in

everything you you even can say, how will I look

like in five years old? They give you your picture

of yourself? You know you you? Suddenly any first instinct

goes into okay, how can I get my answers on

my own? How can I depend on myself to answer

my problems? And we become less and less dependent on God?

You know? And uh, that's why I also asked the

question over answer. I was like, actually, I think about it, right,

how many phone numbers can we remember? Of hen maybe you,

your spouse, if your kid's got a phone number? God,

that's about it. If you got if you can remember, okay,

how many of y'all can remember five handphone numbers one, two, three? Yeah?

You know you see? Suddenly right we are we we

become more and more dependent on technology, We become more

and more dependent on other things. How many of y'all? Uh?

If I tell you, okay, this one yours should nola

going back home from premier hotel. You don't need to

earn ways you should know right, I don't know. We

got some serious intervention issues. Roughly see not confident that

one wasn't not confident. Yeah, yeah, you've got road blocked.

I don't know how alreadio. Yeah, but that's the thing.

You know, we in this day and time, right, it

is becoming easier and easier to not depend on God.

It actually takes more effort to depend on God. You know,

even for me, I'm being very honest preparing my sermon,

I have to check myself and say, God, is this

what you are telling me? Or is this what my

own knowledge or wisdom or something that I googled or

whatever it is. Because there is no power in that.

Only Jesus' word has power to free the captives, to

loosen the change, to bring forth joy and peace. So

we need to trust in God with all our heart

and always keep that in mind. Okay, So next line.

So this was the disciples at that time. The disciples

came to Jesus saying, who then is the greatest in

the Kingdom of Heaven? Right? And this is sometimes this

is the world where we are living in today. Who

is the best, Who is the top, Who is the richest,

Who is the wealthiest, Who is the most influential, Who

is the most popular? This is what the world is chasing,

and everyone is chasing for this la you know. But

what is Jesus' response. Jesus called a little child to him,

sat him in the midst of them, and said, assuredly,

I say to you, unless you are converted and become

as little children, you will by no means enter the

Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little

child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Receives

one little child like this in my name, receives me.

So the word humbles. Here is the word meet. When

you say that God your blessed me with so much,

But I'm still like a child. I need your help.

I need your help to cross the road. I need

your help to provide for my every need. And a child,

there's that the child does not the child right does

not care how much is in the child's bank account,

because the child knows the parents' bank account bigger. The

child does not depend on where he's going to find

his own food, because he knows that the father or

the mother will provide. And all of us have become

adults and forgot to be childlike. Where we put our

trust in God. Although we have the ability and capability,

and who has given us the ability and capability God,

and you do not want that ability and capability to

be taken away? And then only you say God, I

need you. You know because in the same way, when

God has given us that ability and capability. Right, we

are living in an imperfect world. Anything can happen. But

if our faith is built in good times, it will

persevere through bad times. You don't study for an exam

in the middle of an exam. You study for an

exam before an exam. If not when you're in the exam,

your panic, right, And that's the thing. We should build

our trust at all times so that in times of

need then we know that God is in control. Okay, next,

so this is from James Sheperd three, who is wise

and understanding among you. Let him show by good conduct

that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.

Don't be a show offer. You know it's like you're

doing it to help You're doing it for the benefit

of other people. You're doing it to help others. But

if you have bitter envy and self seeking in your hearts,

do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom

does not descend from above, but is earthly sensual demonic

for where every envy and self seeking exists. Confusion and

everything are there. You know right now right if someone

is suddenly very nice to you, how would you feel suspicious?

And that is quite sad because if we are living

as how God wants us to live, being nice to

others is the way of life. Putting other people's interests

ahead of yours is Jesus' way of life. Even in

the church today, are we practicing this? Don't say in

the world, even in the church today. And we can

only do this because we trust in God. Why are

we self serving? Is because we think we have to

get what we need on our own. I have to

stab somebody's back in order to climb the ladder because

it's a dog e dog will. I got nobody to

depend on. I have to depend on my own. But

people who put their trust in God, they say, like God,

no matter what, you will give me the promotion. If

it's your will, you will give me the promotion. I

will summit and do what you have called me to do. God,

you will provide for me. You will provide for my kids,

you know, And that is what that is the difference

within a person who is meek versus a person who

is self serving. So the opposite of meek actually is

self serving because you do not trust in God. You

trust in your own ability and capability, and you think

that you have to do it on your own, you know.

So again, like I was thinking about the over lunch

we are discussing as well, there were in I think

in Norway. In Norway, they were saying that kids when

they have birthday parties, right, you know, we are very

familiar to having body parties here, like even in ex

kids we have birthday parties, and so apparently in Norway,

because the cost of living is very high, when they

have a Buday party, the parents only the host only

prepares food for the kids, okay, and the food for

the kids is like they boil hot dogs and then

there's a cold button and then mustard. That's about it.

Like there's a Buday party in no Way, in nor Way,

and no Way is like a first world country, is

one of the richest countries in the world. But people

do it is because the cost of living is high,

so they don't throw lavish parties or however it is okay,

but then when I was thinking about it, I was like, oh, okay,

that's the reason why I was thinking about it. I

was like, I have been to parties funny refugee families

here in Malaysia, and when we went and visited them,

they threw us a spread of meal, which we were

like so embarrassed to eat because we're like, wow, we

came to visit you to bless you, and you are

blessing us abundantly. They had so little, yet they gave

so much because their trust was not in how much

they had. Their trust was in like God will provide,

say God is whenever we ask them, oh you prepare

so mutch, Yeah, God is good. God will provide. And

then I'm like, wow, I think you all need to

preach because because you'll have more meekness and more trust

in God than I have. And sometimes the richer we are,

the less trust we have in God. The more we have,

the less trust we have in God. So you know

how the enemy will attack us make you comfortable, you know,

then you have less need of God and then he

draws you further from him. So that's the first point trust. Okay,

second one. Second one is turn over your plans. Turn

your plans over to him. So once you trust God,

you know God is in control, then you have your plans. Right,

you have your plans. It might be plans that will

have since youang or whatever it is. You have to

surrender your plans to him because you know that he

is a good God God. I have these plans. I

surrender it to you. Let your will be done. Okay,

So let's look at the verses so again Psalms thirty seven.

Remember previously was trust also in him. But the first

part is commit your way to the Lord. Commit your

way to the Lord. When you commit it to him,

then he will bring it to pass. So you commit

your plans to him, you trust in him, and then

he will bring it to pass. Then you don't have

to stress on your own to make it happen. Okay, again,

next light Proverbs Tree, I also touched just now. Right,

trust in the Lord with all your heart. May not

on your own understanding in all your ways. Acknowledge Him,

and he shall direct your pass. But verse seven we

don't usually read, do not be wise in our own eyes,

fear the Lord, and depart from evil. When we think

we are wise in our own eyes, we won't be

able to surrender our plans to God because we say, God,

this is this is my plans. I thought about it,

this is the best thing I know me. But we

forgot He created you, right, and we, instead of being

wise in our own eyes, we say that God, I

have planned this, but I believe in you. I surrender

it to you. You tell me what we have to

do because the moment, right, there's so many people when

they say that God, when I prayed, you didn't answer

my prayer. So now I don't believe in God anymore.

But then God can answer your prayer three ways, right, yes, no, wait,

three ways. The thing is he is not he didn't answer.

He answered your prayer in one of these three. But

you may not like the answer. But when you are meek,

you listen because you are submitting to his will because

you know that He is a good God and he's

in control. Okay, next slight again one Peter five. Likewise,

you younger people submit yourself to your elders. Yes, all

of you, be submissive to one another and be clothed

with humility, For God resists the proud, but gives grace

to the humble. Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand

of God, that he may exalt you in due time,

casting all your care upon him, for he cares for you.

We love this verse, cast all your cares upon him,

for he cares for you. But you forgot to read

verse six. Humble yourself first. You don't like, Nah, God

take every ding you care for me. The first part

of it is is we need to humble ourselves before God,

under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt

you in due time. Due time is his time, in

his time, in his will, in his place. Is it tough?

Is tough? I want things now? But if I humble myself,

I say that God, you are in control, you know

what's best. Then I leave it to you, and then

casting all your care upon him. This is easy to read,

hard to do. If we can do this, cast all

our care on Jesus, do you think you will have

deep joy? Of course, of course we will have deep joy.

If we are able to cast all our care on him.

You will not have the care of the world on

your shoulders. You will have Jesus carrying that for you.

And you know it's going to be okay, because he

cares for you, and that is being meek. So I

was just thinking, right, so last last Monday, when you

play pickle ball, right, so random right when you play

pickle ball, So when you play pickle wall. So I'm

still very new to the game, very new to the game.

So this is the first time I think Steven organized

so when joined his group of friends to play. So

there's there's many different people from there's some people from

Cyberjaya from PG. Everybody just came down to clang the

so for the love of the game, they came down

to claim to play. Okay, so when when they're in

play right, there are people of all different different skill

levels the sum that's super good. Uh. And then I

think I'm the most noop della, the newest there. So

when I went there, I had to be meek. I

have no choice. I have to be meek, and you can.

I cannot go there and say that, hey, I know

how to do this. You know, I have experienced running

or cycling or swimming in the sea. He has no

relevance to pickle ball, you know, or in terms of it,

it's like, uh yeah, it's I have to go there

with a spirit of humility, and I would encourage any

of y'all. If you have not picked up a new

skill in a long time, right, try it because it

is good to go back to the place where you

are no longer the top in whatever you're doing. Because

when you are learning a new skill, you suddenly realize that, Wow,

how what is it like to be humble? How is

it to learn? How is it to learn? How am

I taking instruction? How am I taking criticism? Am I growing?

Or am I taking offense? You know? So when I

start playing with them, right, so a few of them

are really good, then they partner me with like super

good for now, I'm like losing all the points for you.

But the guy right, I was like, I was thinking,

if it was me, I'll be like, you can see

it on my face, very annoyed or what. But one

of the guys right, he was like, hey, relaxed, you

stand here, You take your time. You know, you don't

have to panic. And he was guiding me and training me.

And all I did do was to summit and listen.

And that guy didn't have to do that. That guy

is paying the same amount of money as me, you know,

and he came there to have a good time. Play

a game and then suddenly had to train this noop

for her. But this guy was being meek. He had

so much power, he had so much potential, and yet

he spent the time to take the time for my benefit.

And I was like, wow, I mean then so now

I'm like, now I'm playing with jazz pickleball so on Friday.

So I have to remind myself to be meek. It's

a test of our marriage. But but but it's a

good gauge to be meek because when we are very

good and we have to help others who are along

the way, are we doing it in such a way

that we are building them up? Because that is what

being meek is. That is what being me Okay, And

the third point is take a pause. Take a pause.

So when we are meek again, our prayers may not

be answered on the spot. But because we surrender to him,

we have to wait. We have to wait. So verse

thirty seven next light, Yeah, so some study seven again,

it's some thirty seven, Okay, some thirty seven. Verse five

six was trust in the Lord, Uh, surrender your plans

to him, and verse seven is rest in the Lord

and wait patiently for him. Do not fret because of

him who prospers in his way. Because the man who

brings wicked schemes to pass sees from anger. For sake wrath,

Do not fret, it only causes harm. For evil do

words shall be cut off, And those who wait on

the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. So this is key.

We have to wait. Once we submit to God. Once

we trust God, we surrender our plans to him, we

have to wait. You know, sometimes God answers immediately, but

sometimes God asks us to wait. And waiting right is tough.

Waiting is very tough one right now, right even we

wait in the traffic lighter. Also we pull out our

phone ready like how many also like like response like

it becomes like a default response. You know, for us

to wait, it is tough because you feel like I'm

wasting time, I'm not moving forward. I need something. But

God says, rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him.

What happens when you rest. When you rest, you are refreshed.

When you rest, you become less stressed. So when we

are meek and we trust in God, we surrender our

plans to him, We rest in him. Won't that give

give you deep joy? Suddenly you're less stressed. Suddenly you

know God is in control and you don't have to

work everything on your own. You know that He will

direct your path. Does that bring you deep joy? Of

course it will. And next light. So this is a

famous verse as well. Those who wait on the Lord

shall renew their strength. They shall mount out with wings

of like eagle. They shall run and not be weary,

they shall walk and not faint. So again, when you

rest on God, he will lift us up. He will

move us forward in his time right. And the last

point is this, the last tea is tune out. Tune

out the negativity around you when you are meek, especially

in this world this world. Being meek is counterculture because

everything is about me, right, It's about what I want,

is about getting my my selfish desires. So, going back

to verse Psalms thirty seven, thanks, remember the first one

is rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him.

Second one is do not fret because of him who

prospers in his way, because of the man who brings

wicked schemes to pass, seize from anger and forsake wrath.

Do not fret. It only causes harm. So if someone

is going against you. Don't fret it because you have

already trusted in God. You already surrendered your plans to him.

You're already resting in him. So no matter what enemy

comes against you, don't get worked up. Is not worthy

because do not fret. It only causes you harm. Anger

only causes us harm, especially when people are out to

get us. Right, and one of the so I wanted

one of the stories in the Bible. Okay, you know

who is the meekest man in the Bible. Meekest man

in the Bible? Pop quiz, Okay, next light, So this

is numbers twelve. Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses

because of the utopian woman whom he had married, For

he had married an utopian woman. So they said, has

the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has he not

spoken through us? Also? And the Lord heard it. Now

the man Moses was very humble, more than all the

men who were on the face of the earth. Suddenly

the Lord said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, come out,

you tree to the tabernacle of meetings. So the tree

came out, so a way of contact. Right, Miriam, Aaron, Moses,

all of them are siblings, and then Miriam and Aaron

suddenly turned against Moses because he married this eutopian woman

and they started bad mounting him. You know, they started

bad mounting him. Then why do you think they suddenly

put the worst tree there? So random? They're like they're

sounding him about marrying a woman. Then suddenly, oh the blue.

Moses is the most humble man who there is a

reason why everything is put in scripture. So if you

see it right throughout the book of EXODUSA so many

people came against Moses, and every time he never retaliated.

He instead bowed down to God and seek for forgiveness

for the people. How many times did Moses have the

sek for forgiveness for the people when God wanted to

destroy them because of the golden calf, Moses interceded for

the people when they send There were so many times

in terms of it, and even in this time when

his own siblings turned against him, he could have retaliated,

but he didn't. If you read on further right, what

happened was Miriam was struck with leprosy and God was

angry with Aaron, but Moses pleaded with God to heal Miriam.

So he didn't care what other people said about him,

And when other people said things about him and attacked

him and they got punished from God, he actually asked

for forgiveness on your behalf. And because of that he

was the most humble man as stated in the Bible.

You know, and that's why, and that is how we

are to live our lives because ultimately right Moses, he

lives this way. He had deep joy.
