I don't know whether you guys, you know, read news

these days and you see things that is going on

these days in the world, you know, So it has

made me to be in a be in a phase

where I feel like I'm an uncle in Copedia. I'm

looking at news and most of the time wondering what

is going on in our country, what's going on in

our world? You know, so really we uh in this

place in this world today that it's just different things

happens every day, you know, every time you open the news,

you just see some event taking place that you feel

and wonder, really, why why is this going on? What's

going on on our earth today? But I truly want

to say that, you know, none of these is coincidence,

and none of these are you know, things where we

can'den we or suddenly it's happening and and and or

it's a random event. But I believe that where we

are at today in this world, it is leading to

a place where there is a spiritual warfare that is

going on. Uh, you know, not not everything that you

might see in in the world today. You might think

that it's just an event, but actually there is a

spiritual agenda or a warfare that is happening behind the scenes.

You know, it's and it's very obvious. You know, right

now in this world today, persecution, it is at the

highest rate of all countries. You know, really persecution is increasing.

People are against Christianity, People don't want Christians to be

in their country. They don't want churches to to to

continue to grow. Many countries ban house worships, you know,

and think like that. And while all this is going

at the same time, you see, you know, just different

governments are going to anarchy right now where the people

are protesting against their own government and throwing it down

in a very violent way. You know. I'm sure you've

read the news if you about Nepal. You know, I

was just in Nepal early this year for missions, and

those same places that I went through is now it's

in ruins because people decided to respond in violence towards

a corrupt government. Yes it is corrupted, but then you

know they have to the respond and now they responded

towards it was in a very very violent way. And

you see all these happening in different countries, in a

different world, I mean in not different world, different countries,

and really, you know, you see, addiction is in a

high rise today, Addiction to a lot of things, Addiction

to drugs, addition to pornography is in high your rise

in Malaysia. So in among young people in Malaysia, the

biggest problem today is actually addiction. And they are addicted

to either you know, drugs or to addicted to pornography,

addicted to something, addicted to your phoneses, addicted to you know, anything,

and and it is really killing us, is really pushing

us away and away from God and things you know

where you year about just all the different same sex,

gender and things like that. It is increasing and where

you see people are going towards so I don't know,

the word that they use is moral or spiritual degeneracy.

And you're seeing this happening rampantly in our world today

and most of the time as a Christian. And you

are seeing all this, you might think, how how should

I respond? How should I make a stand? How should

I live? How should I live? When my friends are

here saying that I have an attraction towards the same

gender and should I respond with love, or should I

just immediately rebuke them? Or you know, or you have

or even one of us have an addiction towards something,

or even you know, mental health is declining, and how

do you stand and how do you respond to it?

As a Christian? Most of the time we question this. Yeah,

and I think, I think how we stand will comes

from what we allow God to do in our lives. First.

So that's why I call a message today disciple first,

must allow you know, so I like to play with

the disciple first a lot.

So.

Reading from Romans thirteen, verse eleven to twelve, it says,

this year, and do this knowing the time that now

it is high time to awake out of sleep. For

now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

The night is fast spent, the day is at hand. Therefore,

let us cast off the works of the darkness and

let us put on the armor of light. And it says, yeah,

there is high time to be awake out of sleep.

Means saying that now is the time in this season,

as Christians, is the season where we awake from our slumber,

awake from the normal life that we live in, because

we need to stand for such a time as this.

And it's not stand as in I'm saying that we

have to stand against different ones or whatever. But we

need to stand in prayer. We need to stand in interceding.

And as you do that, and as you stand that,

you'll be able to see you God will lead you

into your purpose. That what are you supposed to do

in the midst of all these things going in the world,

Because that is what the Bible speaks about. In every story,

there is a man or a woman who rise to

the occasion. When the world was declining, when the world

was degenerating, there was a man or woman. And the

Bible is the testimonies of those men and women who

were doing so, who were rising to the occasion. You

can see, you know, when Israel was falling in sin,

they were far from God. And in Judges you read

about out Deborah, you know, and he says in Deborah

in Judges, village life sees and he sees in Israel

until I Deborah arose, arose a mother in Israel. You know,

she interceded for the nation. She prayed and seek to

God what to do, and she led the people. In

Emmya you will read about you know, the Jerusalem's ruined walls,

and Jerusalem was dying, and neh Maya fasted and he prayed,

and he confessed the sins of Israel. And he then

when to take action to rebuild. You read about Esther.

We all know this. When Esther had to stand when

Hammond's decreased with threatening Israel, and Mordecai told her to

step up, and he said, who knows whether you have

come to the kingdom for such a time as this.

She fasted, parayed, reached a life before the king to

save the people. Daniel prayed fervently, interceded for the nation,

asked God to restore Jerusalem. And when even when we

read about David, when Goliath was marching forth and every

army of Israel was backing down, he stood forth as

young as he is and said, I'm gonna take this man,

because God has given me this man. I could keep

going with names, and I'm sure you probably have heard many,

many names, and he didn't stop. In the Bible, it

continues till today. Many reasons that we are even believers

here today because someone stood for us, someone rise to

the occasion for us, for our nation. You know, there

were missionaries who came to this country back in even

nineteen thirties, nineteen twenties from Australia. They came to Boringal

first and they brought the gospel in from Borno and

then to the west, you know. And different ones stood

for us and rise to the occasion. So these are

children of purpose. They were not children of perfection. Oftentimes,

when we think that we need to rise to the occasion,

that we need to be some perfect being, that we

need to be all all right, we need to have

a theology degree or masters or whatever, so that we

can stand for the Lord, or intercede for the people,

or to go according to our purpose. But no, none

of them have that. They were just flawed human beings

with all the mistakes they have done. But yet they

were children of purpose. When God called them to move

in their purpose, they stepped up and they move. But

sometimes it's very hard for us to see this in

our world today, in our situation today, know to step

up and move because we are in some some kind

of this survival mode. We have a living to make

and we have to provide to our families, you know,

And and we have different responsibilities and different things in

our lives. You know, your studies, your work, different things.

So these becomes like our first thought, Oh, what will

happen if I don't step up? You know what will happen?

If I step up? Then I wouldn't have a proper job,

or I can't provide for my family, I won't be

able to focus with my studies. And they're just different thoughts.

And these thoughts come and and and and we are

in this survival mode because we have mistaken what is

our purpose supposed to be, because we often associate our

purpose or our identity to maybe our skills, to our talents,

to our gifts, even our career, and we think that

or God made me to become an engineer, so I

must become an engineer, and that is my purpose. Not

saying that, no, you should not be an engineer. I'm

saying that, really, if you look at it, God of universe,

who created the universe, created everything on the world, and

he all he wanted you to just be an engineer. No, right,

I don't think so. I don't think so. Our God

is just limited to that. I think it's beyond that,

you know so, But we can go into this cycle

if we do not we are not aware. And if

we don't change our perspective, we go in this cycle

where we just oh, we go to we study, and

we graduate, and we work and then we work ninety

five and come back home, and then the cycle repeats

till the weekend. And probably on Saturday you go play

some fickerball and then on Sunday you come to church.

And then that's the cycle that gives cycling. You know,

But really, have you ever won that is? Is there

more to life than this? There's something more to life

than this? You know, most often we we we when

we look at purpose, we associate with achievements. I have

achieved this. I need to achieve that. You know. Back then,

back then they used to say that, you know, you

need to have the three c's in order to be

successful in life. You know, I'm sure you know what's

the three c's, right, I know it's cash, it's I

think it's a credit card, and then I think it's condo. Yeah,

that's the three c's you need to have and and

and and and you know that. But that's it. Define

who you are, that's it. That's this define what you're

supposed to be, you know, because I'm sure there is

a desire to succeed, a desire to come out of

what we are today to become better, because you know,

we probably are going through different struggles and challenges and

stuff like that. But if we can be made that

all of our lives, achievements and our identity, then we

are missing out. We're early missing out what God wants

to do. Because I can say this for myself because

I was like that too, you know, because when I

was growing up, I always wondered why there is suffering

in this world? God is so good? Why is there suffering?

You know, I grew up, I don't know, twenty three

twenty years my life just asking that same question. So

I grew up in Kale, you know, someone all the way.

Kale Boy and I have older sister, and we grew

up in a very poor family. You know, our parents

were unable to really provide. First we were struggling as

a younger child because my dad never had a stable

job because he was always failing in all the businesses

that he started, or he got cheated because he always

had this issue, he had this alcohol issue, and they

always caused him to, you know, not do well in anything.

That he was doing. So there were days when I

was younger, I remember, you know, never had enough food

or whatever. I hated the life. I hated the life

that we need to ask help, we need to for

people and people who look down on you and your

family because of your you know, or father who can't

really be trusted and never be able to provide it.

I was very angry of my situation going up. So

all I thought that I really wanted to do well

in life. I'd really want to succeed in any way possible.

I just wanted to get out of this cycle of poverty.

That was what is one in my mind, so you know.

And while I was studying, when I was in primary

school itself, and then I picked up playing cricket and

I played. I started to play and I represented like

all the way for Malaysia, and I thought that was all.

I wanted to be a professional athlete out there, to

get out of Malaysia, play in other countries, probably in Australia,

and and just to make money. You make a living

out of being a pro athlete. That was all I

wanted to do growing up, and it became my identity.

Every achievement, every wins everything. You know, every money I

earned through it was really building me. That is my identity,

that is who I am. So you really got comfortable

with it. Imagine when you're seventeen years old and you

get paid about five thousand ring it in a month,

sometimes in a week, you know, and you get a

lot of money, and money is in your hand. And

because I didn't like the situation at home, I always

wanted to just escape out of it, you know. So

I never stayed at home, you know, I never wanted

to go back home. I studied all the way in

boarding school, you know, and I just stayed away from

from home. And really, what happens when the kid has

so much money and he's not at home with parental supervision,

It just does things that are all messed up. So, yes,

every bad, most bad habits that you can think of,

I've done it all when I was a teenager. You know.

I'm not proud of it, definitely, but yes, you know,

whatever you can think, smoking, drinking, whatever it is. I

was lost, really lost because I thought that this is

the way how you live life, This is the way

how you are supposed to enjoy what you have gotten,

your hard work, and now it's time for you to enjoy,

you know. But really what happened was I knew Christ

sometime when I was a teen, but all these things

got me a bit, you know, messed up, and I

kind of backslided, and I was going in this different

direction once in a while to go to the church,

you know, just to show my face, which is like

on Christmas and Easter, you know. And what happened was

when I was during this training, during this period of time,

I was preparing for Sea Games in twenty seventeen and

I had this injury. I had a fall. I fall

down during my training. So you know, my heel this

heel and I dived to catch a ball and when

I fell down, this heel bend and touch my head.

I went into like a scorpion. So I was fine.

I just got up, continued work training and whatever. The

next day is where I started feeling something is wrong

with me. Everything was painful. Went to the doctor and

they did scans and MRI and then they said that

you know, your disk, your spidal in your cord, and

your spidal cord just came out and they said, oh, okay,

but it's all right. Those things will be fine. I

just need to do physio and stuff like that. It

will be all right, I said, okay, should be all right.

What happened was, after I think probably another week, I

slowly started not to feel my right leg. I couldn't

feel my leg. My right leg was like numb, like

no feelings at all, you know, Like I felt like,

why I don't have a leg, but I have a leg,

you know. And so my friends at that time wanted

to test it out, so they pour hot water on

my leg and I really didn't feel anything. So it

was really numb like that. So Yes immediately went to

the doctor said that, hey, really I can't feel my leg.

And then again they did more scans and MRI and

stuff like that. They found that because of the this

came out, it actually disconnected a couple of my nerves

that were running to my leg. So that's why I

couldn't feel my leg because it was disconnected. So and

then I asked him, so, how do we fix this?

What's the next step? Then he said, I think there's

nothing no way out of this. This might be a

permanent condition for you, and you need to forget about

your career as an athlete and This is coming from

one of the best institutions in Malaysia, which is the

ISN which is Sukanagara so National Sports Institute. This is

where all the national athlete gets treated. So it was

coming from there and I thought, my life is done.

That's it. I got no life beyond this. I got

nothing to do beyond this, you know. And I was

so devastated, and I was really felt my entire identity

is gone, like you know, being all people knew me

for for being a national athlete, and now to what

a crippled man, which I didn't want to be carrying.

So I really was very upset of what has happened

to my life at that time. So at that time

when those things happened, I really started to seek God

again and I was very angry at God. I would say,

you know, ask on why are you doing this to me?

Why are you so unfair? Why suffering after suffering from

a young age until now you know, don't you love

your children? We call us your children. Why would you

do this to your children? And I really believe that

at that time I heard Lord's voice. The Lord was

telling me why are you? I don't know you, however,

you live your life for me. And he really hit

me because when I look back, my life, it's all

about me. Everything was just about me and me and

me and me and Lord. And at that moment, I

remember making this promise and I told the Lord, Lord,

if you heal me or you don't heal me, it

doesn't matter. From today one once, I want to live

my life for you, and I made a promise. I said,

this is what I'll do. Just after I said that,

I prayed and I cried and whatever. And then a

couple of days later, my physio called me and said that, hey,

there's this doctor. There's this doctor from Poland and he

wants to see you. You've read your case and he

wants to do something to you. I'm like, okay, all right,

let's go. So he went and he said that, oh,

we have this treatment, this under experiment. Would you want

to be a trial experiment? I said, I want nothing

to lose, so why not this experiment? You know? So

they it was supposed to on every two week, they

will inject some sort of steroid right into my spine

for opening it to regenerate my nerves back. That was

the the procedure is supposed to be first, I got

the first injection. And after I got the first injection,

and I say, okay, you know, just rest for two weeks.

We'll meet you two weeks later to do the second

one and you'll see whether that's progressed or not. So

I got the first injection, I was dresseding, and just

three days after the injection, I started to feel like

everything was normal. Like first I was normal. Pain, there

was normal, like my fell on my leg was alive

back again. And I just went to the doctor excited

and told the doctor, hey, I think everything is working.

Your medicine is working. And he said that it's not

supposed to work this fast. You know, I don't know

how is it working like this. So they went and

they did scans and emmara and said that. And they

told me, the doctor told me, your spine looks like

there was no injury at all. It was just completely normal,

completely normal, and and and he said this to me.

And I still remember, I don't know which God you're

praying to, but that was that God that did it.

And I truly know it was God's miracle, God's hand

on my life. And that day said really, So I

decided to keep to my promise, even though it was

very hard, so because I wanted to like, yeah, go

back and I'm gonna continue playing. And then it's like, no, no,

you can't. You made You gave a word to the Lord,

and your word was to serve him. So I left.

I left the Nash team, left everything, every career that

I had uh in in in sports, and I came

out of it, and I came out and I was

just looking for a way how to serve the lot,

and and and and slowly from there, the Lord showed

me different things. So I really believe right, you don't

have to wait until is this for me? Okay? I

really believe right. You don't need to wait until the

Lord breaks your back for you to move in his purpose.

You know, really, you don't need to wait to a

drastic event into your life. Then only you say yes,

because that's why I'm here for to tell you the drastic,

drastic way for the Lord to lead you. But before

that you can move in his purpose. And God wants

to use every single person. But sometimes you must be

willing to pay the price and take up our cross.

It can be as painful as it is, it can

be as hard as it, but I can guarantee you

life will be worth it. Every moment you live will

be worth it living for the Lord. So I want

to show you what I had to do and also

allow Him to do in my life to then come

to a place where we are just living and sole

purpose for the Lord. You know. The first thing that

we must allow God to do is allow Christ to

make you whole again. Not not a whole, but a whole.

Sometimes I cannot pronounce w H. I don't know why

you know? So yeah, we can read from John five.

Now John five was one to five. It says year

in John five. So this is where. Afterward Jesus returned

to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish holidays, and inside

there was a sheep gate was the pool of Battesda,

which five with five covered porches. Crowd sick people, blind, lame,

or paralyze lay on the porches. One of the men

lying there had been sick for thirty eight years when

Jesus saw him and ask him. Jesus saw him and

knew that he had been healed for a long time,

and he asked him, would you like to get well?

And he said I can't, Sir, for I have no

one to put me in the pool. When the water

bubbles up, someone else always gets there ahead of me.

And Jesus told him, stand up, pick up your mat,

and walk. Instantly the man was healed. He rolled up

a sleeping mat and began walking. But the miracle, this

miracle happened on the Sabbath. So you read story. You

read this story, right, you see this man. Jesus went

directly to this one man. He skipped. It was multitudes

of people. There was a huge crowd there because this

is a Jewish myth that they believe that an angel

will come and swirl the water. It's not even biblical actually,

and that what they were believing at the time, but

they were believing that. And there were a lot of people,

and Jesus went particularly to this one man. Do you

know why do you think do you have an idea?

Why this man? Because this man was there for thirty

eight years? Right, So if someone imagine if someone is

in a place for thirty eight years, how would it be.

It was probably very settled in his place, probably had

a very nice bed there, and it's like, oh, this

is my spot, okay. He probably tells everybody this is

my spot. Don't touch it when you come, okay, you know,

like imagine if someone in church, right, they only sit

in the same chair every Sunday and go anyone there,

you know, every time you come, that's your chair. Oh,

someone took my seat. So it's probably this man was

like that. He was there and for thirty eight years

and probably was very comfortable where he was. And Jesus

saw him and she is so, probably well, this man

is so comfortable that this even though it's so it's crippled.

And Jesus went directly to him, didn't ask him, Hey,

how long have you been sick? Are you all right?

Do you want you know? What's your problem? No, Jesus

straight away told that man, do you want to get well?

But if you read the KJV, I'm sure most of

us don't read KJV. Yeah, now shall you know? So

when you read the KJV, it doesn't say do you

want to get well? But he says do you want

to be made whole? Because the literal translation, when Jesus

Youth spoken Greek, he was asking that men, do you

want to be made whole? He was not considering about

whether it be well to heal? But the question was

do you want to be made whole? Because why Jesus

said that is because most likely Jesus saw that this

man was so comfortable that his identity was that cripple man,

that he was so comfortable that this is who he was,

or this is who I am. You know, because when

even when Jesus offered him a solution to say that, hey,

do you have to be made well and he said

I can't, Jesus just say, hey, go to the water,

I help you know, just say I want you to

be healed. Do you want to be healed? And this

man says I can't. It was first excused that came out.

I can't. You don't want to help me. I can't

go myself. People go before me. It was all excuses

because he was so fixated that this is who I

am and I cannot be changed of his identity. That's

why Jesus went to that man because Jesus wants to

make that man whole again. He's not interested in giving

that man just healing. He's not interested in just giving

us well, so just giving us what we need. But

he is interested or he is more like this is

his job. It is to make us whole again, to

make our identity to be more like him. It was

the same thing that was doing to me. You know,

he was not just interested in healing me. It was

very interested in just transforming my identity. You didn't want

me just to be quicketer. You didn't want me to

just be, you know, a son of an alcoholic man,

a poor man's son, a messed up kid. He wanted

me to be more like him. And that's what he

wants to do in all our life. Because you see

her from Genesis. God makes us in his image. He

says that Genesis one was twenty six. Let us make

men in our image. But Adam and Eve broke it,

and we all know why how they broke it. From

then onwards, God has been in a journey into transforming

our identity back again, to put back our broken image

because of sin. We are broken people. Because of sin.

Adam and Eve was broken, and then we are broken

and our sin become our identity. Our mistakes become our identity,

our guilt, our excuses, our past, all this becomes our identity.

But he wants to make us whole again, to make

us look like him, be like him, to see him

in ourselves. So don't let our circumstances, our situation, our past, present,

and the future become our identity because none of it

is our identity. We're not building the image of that.

Not even our family can determine what is our identity.

It's only God. He wants to make your whole on

who he wants you to be. So you've got to

allow him to do that. You've got to allow him

to work in your brokenness to transform you, to make

your whole again, make you who he wants you to be.

So you've gotta allow that first second part, what a

you gotta do, what this is, what you gotta do

now is allow yourself to take up the cross. Sometimes

we don't want to do it even though we know,

but we don't let ourselves to do it. We hold back.

You say, across too heavy, too heavy. I need to

go to the gym first before I carry it across

in ourselves. Just kidding you know. So it's the same thing.

We need to do that because, like I mentioned my

story just now, as I left everything and I came back,

I had a decision to be made, and for a

lot of people, the decision that I made was very ridiculous.

Some people ask me, Jesus so worthy that you're choosing

him over everything else in your life? You really think

it is real? Stop having blind faith. This is blind faith.

You know. You know you can still follow Jesus while

you're doing other things. You're not going to gain anything

out of this. But in my mind, I know clearly

that this Jesus is I was believing in. I mean,

I'm still believing in that He is with me. You

know that in carrying I had to carry it across

for him. And it was not just a picture that

I had to carry of him. It was not a

cross that I need to carry on my neck, but

was with me in my heart that I need to

carry him. So I just wanted to serve the Lord.

At that time, I decided I need to serve the

Lord and I want to serve the lot. So and

that was the right time I came to ex church

my fat year of the campus student. I was the

best decision. It's a first student and just God put

different things in my heart to make decision to just

serve him. I want to change everything, everything that I

was doing in my life just to serve the Lord.

And I started When I entered my first year in

UNI as an engineering student, I was doing aerospace engineering.

I don't know why I chose their cause as well.

Please don't don't don't think that I'm telling you not

to choose it. Go for it. So I but in

my mind at that time, I realized that the law

was calling me beyond myself and I had to do

something for the people. So I changed my course and

I went into community development more like social work, so

that I can do something because I wanted to serve.

I wanted to serve the poor. I want to serve

the needa, I wanted to serve the lot, and I

knew God wanted me to serve people. But of course,

of an Asian family, my parents was not happy. You know,

you want to do social work, what can you make

out of it? It's the worst choice ever. And my

father was really really not happy. You know. My father

was a man, like I mentioned just now, was never

present in the family. It was always you know, doing

his thing or probably it was very involved in alcoholism.

And I never liked him growing up, never liked him.

Always tell myself when I was younger, never want to

be like him, you know, for all the things that

he has done or me for my life or my family.

And I was just like that and that growing up time,

even when I was in this stage where I had

to make this decision, my father didn't like that I

was a believer because I was the first one to

except Christ my family. And he didn't like that. And

he thought that I'm making all this decisions because the

Church brainwashed me, or Jesus, I'm rainwashed by being a Christian,

you know. So I had to and I had to,

and he what he said, because you are doing this,

you made this choice. You're gonna I'm gonna stop funding you.

I'm not gonna give you any money because you want

to go and be like Jesus, right, so be like him.

So you cut off every finances to me. He didn't

pay for my education. He didn't even pay for my

pocket me like, no no money, no money nothing. You said,

you're on your own. If you want to follow Jesus,

do it your own way. And at that moment, my time,

in that time, I was thrown with this ultimatum whether

to follow Jesus, like really all out followed Jesus or

just be this very quiet nominal Christian, you know, just

go to church, come back. You need to serve him

and just do what others want me to do. But

I chose to follow him all the way because I

know he's real and I know he will not leave me.

So I was left all on my own. I was

very sad, disappointed at what had happened. I only had

twenty eating it in my wallet, and I stayed in

my UNI's hostel, and I was really wondering what I

was going to do. But that did not stop me

from serving him. So you might have thought everybody would

have thought. Everybody thought that I would do that. I

would do that. I will go out and work part

time so that I can sustain my education and you know,

and do other things. But I did not. I actually

went to work for the church. I went to work

for the church even when I was in that stage

in my first year, second year of my degree, and

at that time, because I've not even done studying, I

was only getting paid four hundred per month, and everyone

was like, you're wasting your time living life like this.

If Jesus is real, would he want someone live life

like this, which is for months four hundred per month?

Suffer on his own and struggle, you know. And I

was thinking, like, look at me, washed out athlete once

and once earned thousands, lived comforty, now living like I

don't know, it was just hard to live. And I

was just carrying so much burden with what my father,

my father did to me and being left alone. I

had to figure out everything of myself. Where I can

tell you and those were the moments that I really

experienced Jesus in my life, because those were the moments

where when I needed a meal, meals just like liness

just now, they were those who blessed me with meals

in the moment when I had no money, and that

time extra commander and even started yet I was I

was going to Subam all the way from upm I

had travel two hours to you and and and and

the lot provided. He kept providing every situation. I was

never once angry. I mean, you can you can look

at me. I look like I'm in hunger. No, even

at that time I got my first car, the Lot

provided me because I had to transport students to church.

I was praying and seeking. God provided me with this

one dodgy old waja and then that that also broken.

But even now so I have a car now, and

and God provided me. You know, I'm sorry, I I

I don't have EPF, I don't have any of those

things that to prove that I have a proper I

don't even have a pay sleep actually until today, you know.

But I managed to get loan for a car. I

went to the bank. I just told them that I

got I mean, I went to the car show up

and I told him like, none of it. Can you

And yes, you know. And and God has always been

with me till today, till today, every single need provided

because of the decisions that made to follow him, choose

him all out by faith. And I can tell this

this worse. He Brewster in verse five six says for

himself has said, I will never leave you, not forsake you.

So we may boldly say the Lord is my helper.

I will not fear what can man do to me.

And the third part I'm going to tell you we're

going to do this is that allow yourself to surrender

to Him, even if it's hard. So in the midst

of all this were happening, then came the pandemic right

in the pandemic, and I had to go back home

because you need yours closed. Everybody said they kicked me out,

and I went back home and I was staying home.

We had to stay at home. And then one day

my dad was my father was drunk and my mom

gets a call that my father is strong and he's

fallen at the roadside. Some neighbors saw him and called him,

and my mother says to me, can you go and

carry him and bring him back home? I was like,

what on earth? Why do I need to do this?

What did I do to deserve this? But Jesus was

telling me, in my mind, you got to go ahead

and do it. If not you, then who I went

carried him home. I tell you that was the hardest

eight hundred meters that I've ever walked in my life.

Not because he was heavy, but it's more like people

were looking everyone in the street were looking at me

doing it. Some people come and advise me at the time, oh,

you should tell your father not to drink, not do

this anymore. I'm like, I know, I know, but it

was really I was just so disappointed why I needed

to face all this. It was humiliating because of all

that was happening. You know, I'm working for the Lord.

I'm serving the Lord, Yet my family is so broken

and I couldn't take it. There is a man who

disliked my faith. He did not like me following Jesus,

and now I have to help this man. But at

that time, my mother reminded me something. She said that

once upon time, your grandfather was drunk like that and

also on the street, and your father did not want

to go and carry him because he felt he was

going to put his prestige down. And now you are

doing it. It reminded me that Lord reminded me that

I'm breaking generational curse because you choose to surrender yourself.

And beyond that, there was the time that the Lord

told me that I had to choose to forgive him

for everything that he has done my life. And I

told him why. I was asking God why, and Jesus

reminded me of carrying him was a shameful thing. What

about me carrying your sins on the cross? What about

me getting beaten and naked while carrying the dirtiest sins

that you have committed. You know, I've died on the

cross and resurrected for your father to even though it

does not accept me. One day, will remember that when

you were carrying him, that were Jesus carrying his sins

on the cross. And the Lord reminded me that I'm

ready to forgive him, but are you ready? And you

have to forgive him for your future, for your purpose

in him. Surrender. You have to surrender this part, the

hardest part of your life, to him. I choose to

let it go. I choose to forgive him. I choose

to pray for him every day. My father started to

change solely. He reduced, he stopped drinking badly like that.

You know, I I really waited for him to get

his blessings before I proposed to my my back then

girlfriend now fiance. And it took so long, It took

so long, but I waited and finally he was okay

with it. And and you know, and this year, this year,

during my birthday. You know, I've never celebrated my birthday

since I was a kid, like I think last seady

it was five years old or something like that. And

this year was the first year that he told me

you have to come back home. He called me and

said you must come back home because he went on

his own, got me a cake to celebrate my birthday,

and I know that everything was just changed. You know,

God's really good. I didn't need to try anything, I

needed to do it on my own. All I had

to do was surrender that part my life to him.

So when you surrender every part of you, even the

most darkest and dirtiest one, they can do a miracle

in your life. When I chased after the true God,

not fame, not career and whatever, you build a new life.

You just need to keep choosing Jesus over everything. You know,

the same thing. I I wasn't very smart of myself

when I was studying, but the Lord opened door for

me to go from my bachelor's right to PhD. You know,

never never, never imagine I'll be doing it in my life.

And people always say you made a bad decision working

for the church all your days. But till now, all

my tuition fee is covered, my degree, my PhD, everything covered.

Never had to pay for it. But it's not about me.

I'm not trying to say this, but I'm saying that

this is how real Jesus is, and he meets every

need of people who surrender their lives. To him. He

knows every detail of our lives and when to change life.

That's why I'm asking you to trust them and surrender

your life to him. You know, come to a place

to say that I've been crucified with Christ. There's no

longer I who live, but Christ lives in me and

the life which I now live in the flesh. I

live by the faith of Son of God, who loved

me and gave himself for me. The last part, Yeah,

We're going to allow Christ to teach you, James. One

studio Force says said, consider it nothing but joy, my

brothers and sisters. Whenever you fall into various trials, be

assured the testing of your faith produces endurance, and let

endurance have his perfect result, and do a thorough work

so that you may be perfect and completely developed, lacking

in nothing. When you let your when you strender yourself

to the Lord, you're going to be facing a lot

of challenges. There will be a hard decisions that you

need to make in your life, and it sometimes will

be painful. Sometimes it'll be challenging, But every time you

face it and you trust in the Lord, you will

be able to see that He has greater plans for you,

and he will teach you to every part of it.

And why do you think I had to deal something

like that with my father because God wanted to break

my pride and humble me. Why do you think that

I had to go through persecution for my own family

and live and live on my own and struggle because

God was teaching me to trust in him and I

have faith in him. Why do you think that I

had to go through the injury and go through such

pain because He wanted to transform me. We we read

the story of Lazarus. We always read the story of Lazarus,

and the story of Lazarus when he was dead, when

he was dead, and he was dead for three days,

Jesus did not come and see him, And when when? When?

When he came, Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if you

only had been here, my brother would not have died.

But even now I know that your God will give

you whatever you ask. And most of the time, when

we are facing trouble in our life, we happen to

ask God the same question, God, where are you with doubt? God?

In those moments we wonder when is He going to

lift us out of the pain. The struggle and the agony,

and if sometimes feel like God does not want to

respond at all, and we also be like married like

sometimes not if only you have been here, my brother

would not have died, Not only if you were with us.

My loved one would not have died. Only if you

were with us. I would not have been depressed. Only

if you were with me, I would not fall into temptation.

Sometimes you want this Jesus to be like a superman,

to just come and sweep in and remove your pain

and go away. You know, Jesus can heal you instantly.

It can remove pain from you immediately. But he could

have done that to last year's two, but he did not.

But instead, when Jesus saw a weeping, and the Jews

came with her and weeping, and when Jesus said, where

have you laid him? Then he said to him, Lord,

pain off. He wants to be with you. It only happened.

When you surrender your life to him, you'll be able

to be with him. You know, we all know this worse. No,

come to me all you are wary and burdened, and

I'll give you rest. Take my ear upon you and

learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart.

You will find rest for your souls. For my yok

is easy and my burden is light. You know this,

this this Most of the time we read this, and

we don't really catch what Jesus is trying to say.

and learn from me, because he is teaching us the

young bull to walk along side. He wants us to

do that. It's just imagine imaginary friend. Yeah again, I'm

the old boy. Yeah, and I'm saying he probably the

guy is saying, Oh, it's too hard, it's too heavy,

And I say, it's okay. I'm carrying most of the weight.

You just stay. You just walk with me. Oh, I

don't know where we're going. It's okay, I know where

we're going. You just follow. Oh it's tiring, It's okay,

I am pulling most of the lord. You just take

your time. That is what in men, that is what

it means. Lending Jesus to teach us in that time

is teaching teaching. You Gotta let him teach you, you know,

learn from me. I'm gentle and humble and hard. You

will find rest because my yok is easy, because the

yok is easy because He's carrying it for you until

you are shaped to become more like him. So you

gotta let him teach you to do so. So if

you're going through this hard life and trying to be

the Christian that you're supposed to be according to His purpose,

and you're struggling, and you're struggling with sin, you're struggling

with temptations, struggling with different things, but yet you say that, Lord,

I just want to know you or I just want

to follow you. I can tell you don't worry. He

is with you, and He is working in you. He

is in Manuel, God with us, is ever present with you.

This journey, it's a hard journey I can I can

tell you it will be hard when you're allow Him

to work in your life. But I can encourage you.

Then it'll be worth it. So don't give up when

you're calling to its Christ.
