Listening to a message to go from at church. We
-
hope this message will lighten.
-
It's called Postcards of Heaven. Postcards of Heaven. Wow, you know,
-
postcuts of Heaven. Just we're saying, you feel like, ah,
-
you know, sounds like a love song, sounds like a
-
country song.
-
I don't know, you know, postcards of Heaven. What does
-
that mean?
-
I'll go into that a little bit, but let's start
-
with some scripture. Is that okay, Let's turn to John
-
chapter twenty one, verse fifteen to nineteen. We're gonna look
-
at John twenty one, fifteen to nineteen, and this Olivia background.
-
This is Jesus.
-
Going to find Peter again, after Peter had abandoned him,
-
after Peter had denied him, and after Peter had just,
-
you know, just just ran away from God.
-
And this is the heart of our God.
-
The heart of our God is not that he's so
-
holy he's waiting people to draw near to him. But
-
he is so holy, and yet he is so hungry
-
for our suvation that he draws near to us. The whole,
-
you know, idea of Christianity is that we were never
-
good enough to reach God, so God had to come
-
and reach us.
-
Amen, you know John three sixteen.
-
Is this for God soul love the world, that he
-
not we, that he sent his only son, that whoever
-
that's us, whoever. Your education background doesn't matter, your skin
-
color doesn't matter, your age doesn't matter, your finances don't matter.
-
You know, nothing matters, your past doesn't matter. Whoever who believes,
-
shall not perish. God's heart is that we don't perish,
-
that we don't get destroyed, that we don't get lost.
-
None of us perish, but receive eternal life. So let's
-
read on jump turne one, verse fifteen to nineteen. If
-
your dad can't hear a good amen of cos XTV
-
has it very coolly put it on the screen for
-
those of us who might not have a Bible.
-
So let's read together.
-
So when they had eaten breakfast, so Jesus had gone
-
to find him and.
-
Recreated a miracle.
-
Uh, you know, recreated the moment they first met, and
-
the Jesus first met Peter through the miracle catch. You know,
-
they were fishing and then there was a miraculous catch
-
of fish, and Jesus, in running to reach him again,
-
recreated that first moment, and then they caught the fish.
-
They had that that really they reconnected.
-
And they were eating breakfast, and Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon,
-
son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?
-
And he said to him, yes, Lord, you know that
-
I love you. He said to him, feed my lambs.
-
Let's read on. He said to him again the second time, Simon,
-
son of Jonnah, do you love me? He said to him, yes, Lord,
-
you know that I love you. And he said to him,
-
tend my sheep. And then he said to him the
-
third time, Simon's son of Jonah, do you love me?
-
And Peter was grieved because he said to him the
-
third time, Jesus will keep asking me. Do you not
-
trust me? Do you love me? And he said to him, Lord,
-
you know all things. You know my heart. You keep
-
asking me this. You know that I love you. And
-
Jesus said to him, feed my sheep. Let's keep reading on.
-
Most so surely I said to you, when you were younger,
-
you gird at yourself and walked where you wish. But
-
when you're old, you will stretch out your hands, and
-
now that will get you and carry you where you
-
do not wish. This he spoke, signifying by what death
-
he Peter would glorify God. And when he had spoken this,
-
he said to him, follow me, follow me. You know,
-
as Christians, if I'm not careful, we can fall into
-
this pattern that's very similar to the part of Peter.
-
We found Jesus or Jesus found us. We're following Jesus,
-
We're being changed by Jesus, We're experiencing Jesus. We partner
-
with Jesus in various ministries and various dream teams. And
-
then there comes moments in our lives wherefore one thing
-
or the other we abandon Jesus. We leave Jesus, not
-
just leave him, but leave his teaching, live his principles,
-
leave his values. You know, we deny him. We we
-
fall I don't know, you know, we're tempted to maybe
-
have nothing to do with him, and then we run
-
away from him. We try to hide away from him.
-
But God is so good. He comes and he finds us,
-
and then he blesses us, and then he restores us,
-
and then he revives us, and then we go from
-
denying Christ to loving Christ again. And if you're not careful,
-
if we don't follow through, as Jesus asked Peter to say, that, okay,
-
all say and done, now follow me? Many times, what
-
we do is that we miss the follow me part
-
and we then go back to conflight being with Jesus,
-
and then before we know it, we fall back into
-
the same cycle again, you know.
-
And and I don't mean a big bad.
-
Uh betrayals of Jesus or denials of Jesus like we
-
read in the Gospels. You know, you don't have to
-
you know, Jesus didn't have to be captured for you
-
to deny him three times. So you know, because some
-
of you reading, is it not best Peter one, not
-
as best judas one pasta you know, But.
-
But we all have moments like that.
-
Now every time we go through our lives and we
-
we we take a detour away from the values the
-
principles of God. You know. That's a denial that you know,
-
I'm not sure about you, Jesus, you know, And we
-
do that at work sometimes it's okay, I've not been
-
stalking you, but I'm just not prophesying. But you know,
-
assuming you know, we're all humans. We all have moments
-
and sometimes at work it's hard to live for Christ.
-
And sometimes at work, you know, we I don't know,
-
we we know what Jesus stands for.
-
But then at what maybe our temper.
-
Gets the best of us, our jealousy gets the better
-
of us. We join into gossip when we know that
-
this is not what Jesus we wanted.
-
We we we we I don't know.
-
We join into you know, still credit when we know
-
that that's not what Jesus wanted. You know, and in life,
-
you know that the same continues. You know, you know,
-
I deal with a lot with people who are younger
-
in age, but it is not necessarily something that the
-
only young people struggle with. But you know, in life,
-
you know, we we are pressured to follow trends, were
-
pressure to follow the pressure that comes from our peers.
-
Uh And and sometimes you know, what's popular the world
-
might not be popular with Jesus. But sometimes we feel like,
-
oh maybe Jesus, you understand right, you understand right, you know,
-
And and and why I'm saying is this, we have
-
we have pockets of that, We have pockets of that right.
-
We have pockets of denial, pockets of running away from
-
the Lord, pockets of disobedience, pockets are falling into sin,
-
pockets of the flesh taking over you know and maybe
-
some of us here, you know, the Malaysian traffic has
-
a way to bring the flesh out sometimes, you know.
-
So maybe on the way driving to church today, you know,
-
like you know, you you it's differentile praise that came
-
up from you, you know, and so Jesus loves you.
-
Is something else that ends with you. Uh, you know
-
it was holy hands lift in worship. It's uh, your
-
hands were definitely lifted up, you know. And maybe one
-
thing that was lifted higher birth. But but what I'm
-
saying is this that you know, we God doesn't want
-
us to just have this cycle. You know a lot
-
of us, and and you see that this cycle is
-
very tricky. On one hand, in this cycle, we're doing
-
our best. He's saying to God, God, I'm doing my best.
-
And in this cycle, you are experiencing the blessing of God.
-
You are experiencing the grace of God. And and the
-
blessing grace of God is is is very nice. But
-
but God wants more for us. Turn to your neighbor, says,
-
God wants.
-
More for you. God wants more for you.
-
Amen, and a lot of us we are just happy
-
and content with our little Christian cycle, a cycle of
-
blessing and grace, blessing and grace, blessing and grace, you know,
-
and then we go like, oh, you know, I'm so
-
glad that you just loves me just the way that
-
I am. Uh, you know, I'm so glad that you
-
know he's patient with me, and and yes he is,
-
but God wants so much more, you know, just coming back.
-
You know, this is August, yikes, and of August, coming
-
to the end of August, and so both myself and
-
Cat we've been back since maybe June. So this is
-
count of like our third month in Malaysia again. And
-
after living away from Malaysia for so long, you know,
-
it's very funny you come back as a tourist.
-
You know.
-
I had to learn a lot of things again, learn
-
how to drive and then all these kind of things,
-
you know. Uh. And but it was besides relearning you know,
-
Malaysian road ethics and different things, you know, rediscovering Malaysian food,
-
Praise Lord, it was also a lot of reconnecting, reconnecting,
-
reconnecting with people, reconnecting with friends, old friends, and.
-
Just catching up with people.
-
And and in my catching up, I'm discovering that there's
-
so much brokenness in the world. I'm talking to people
-
and words like divorce comes up. Oh, oh, you didn't
-
know I got divorced. I'm sorry, did you know that?
-
Oh you didn't know. But my wife had a miscarriage. Oh,
-
oh sorry, I didn't know that. Oh you didn't know.
-
But last year we had a cancer scare. Oh cancer,
-
Oh sorry, I didn't know that.
-
Or you didn't know.
-
But my my my child, you know, is going through
-
a bit trouble at school and and or my husband
-
lost a job, or I had to close down my company,
-
I had to send my mom to a care home.
-
Uh.
-
Or we're trying IVF and we're failing. I'm not quite
-
sure about the future. Oh, I'm thinking of migrating our
-
Malaysia because there's just no prospects here. And as I'm
-
catching up with different ones, both in church and outside
-
of church, I'm reminded again what.
-
What a broken way.
-
We live in, where the effects and the curse of
-
sin is destroying people left, right and center, both directly
-
and indirectly. And and I'm certainly struck to the core
-
of my being by the fact that you know, gosh,
-
I I I didn't know, you know I've ever been
-
there before. You you You you go up to someone,
-
you talk, and then they certainly get very real. Praise
-
you got, They got very real man. You know, you
-
go up to them thinking, I just go, hey, how
-
are you? How's life? And then they instead of going
-
like it's okay and then you smile and you move on,
-
they just go, oh, thanks for asking. She's not being good,
-
and they get more real than you were expecting them
-
to get real. It's okay, you know, I mean church, right.
-
If we can't get real in church, where can we
-
get real? Right? So so don't be afraid to get
-
rid in church. I'm not getting step what I was.
-
You know what I look back with those things is
-
that I go like, man, I should prayed more. You know,
-
if only I knew that, you know what I'm saying, Christians,
-
you know, like like I didn't know that that dinner
-
catch up was gonna lead to some real stuff. And
-
and of course I was there and I tried my
-
best to encourage them to maybe even off the prey
-
for them. But looking back, you know, I go like, man,
-
if only I knew I I we prayed a little
-
bit more, you know, what I'm saying, you know, like
-
like you know, well, if only I knew you were
-
going to do some heavy counseling, I would like faster
-
and prayed, you know, like like like everything you know,
-
not just Daniel Fast, every fast you know, Edward Fast,
-
Joe fast than you fast, Ali Fast, moved too fast. No,
-
just just all the names that mean I'm just joking,
-
but you get what I'm saying. Like I would been
-
like man extra spiritual, I were memori small scriptures, So
-
I go yo that Halleylujah first say it's the law
-
of pump pum pump, you know, like like I will
-
have you know what I'm saying.
-
And and but that's.
-
The thing like God says that, but you know it's
-
it's we don't know with hindsight, it's always twenty twenty.
-
But what God wanted me to know is that Dave,
-
there are needs out there, and sometimes my people and
-
Christians and myself included in that category.
-
We can be so stuck in our own cycle.
-
That we forget that God has called us to serve
-
other people. You see, Salvation is not an afterlife insurance policy.
-
You know, It's not like in case I die today,
-
because I know some of us here we were asked
-
that question, you know, in our youth groups, by all
-
our Sunday school teachers.
-
If you die today, Joe at where would you go?
-
I don't know?
-
And then you know, out of that fear and trembling, okay,
-
by the Ansians policy called Jesus Christ LLC.
-
No, it's not God.
-
God is not an after you know in case I
-
die after life insurance policy.
-
He's the way, the.
-
Truth and the life, and and and being a Christian
-
being saved. It's not about surviving until we get to heaven.
-
It's about bringing Heaven to earth. That's why when the
-
Lord taught us to pray, he says, our Father, who
-
is in heaven, your kingdom, Come, Your will be done.
-
Let earth right on earth. Let you know on earth
-
as it is in heaven. It's basically saying that let
-
earth look more like Heaven. And I don't know about you,
-
but in heaven, I'm pretty sure there's no cancer in heaven.
-
That won't be death in heaven.
-
That won't be tears in heaven, that won't be miscarried
-
in heaven, that there won't be broken marriages, and in
-
heaven that won't be financial let in heaven, that won't
-
be health problems, and in heaven, that won't be hate
-
in heaven.
-
That won't be hurt in heaven, that in heaven. And
-
so this is what I mean.
-
Friends, we need to break out of this pattern. And
-
how do we break out of this pattern? It's not
-
just about being revived, it's not just about reconnecting with Jesus.
-
It's about reaching others. And you see that Jesus was
-
ministering to Peter. He wasn't just trying to get him
-
back for like, oh you deny me three times? Are
-
so I'll make it really awkward for you, Peter, And
-
I'm gonna ask you the same question three times and
-
then I'm gonna stare you eyeball to eyeball and see
-
you flinch. And that was probably what Peter was feeling
-
asking me a third time. This is he getting back
-
of me for the three times.
-
And then but you see Jesus says, do you love me? Yes?
-
I do, he mediately, and I don't want you and
-
I love you too, Peter, and I don't want you
-
to fall back to that pattern again because I know you, Peter.
-
And we look at Peter's time with Jesus even there
-
was a mini pattern of that.
-
Right, he was always the outspoken one.
-
He was always the one who, you know, acted first
-
and then thought second, wait, touch my Jesus kept your year,
-
and then she just gonna let Peter stop it, you know,
-
you know, he was the one that go like, wow, Jesus,
-
you've been transfigured. I know we're gonna build you a
-
monument here, or build you a monument for most is
-
gonna build your money.
-
You know, he's he's and Peter's and Jesus like Peter.
-
No, and then he's going like, you know, hey, hey,
-
do don't why wash my feet if you do? You know,
-
if you don't wash my feet, you know you gotta
-
wash my home. My Peter's not about that. Hey, Jesus,
-
what's this you talking about?
-
Dying? Dying? Dying? You know we're gonna bring Heaven to earth? Right,
-
Why how can you die? Peter? Yet be behind me? Satan?
-
So you see, God knows of our patterns, and he's
-
trying to help Peter to break his pattern by saying
-
it's about reaching others. Peter, do you love me?
-
Yes? I do. I don't want to be the old
-
Peter again and.
-
Goes like, no, Peter, I know, and I don't want
-
you to be the old man too. Feed my laps,
-
ten my sheep, take care of other people, follow me.
-
And I'm not sure about you, but some of us
-
who were there in Missions conference yesterday and just me
-
and my wife were talking and a passing cat was
-
saying that I don't know how to say this, but
-
I feel like I need to repent all over again
-
and have an auto call by myself the law. I
-
just need to repent and just for God, of the
-
needs out there and and how good we have it
-
as Malaysians. When we heard the speaker go like I
-
was in the war torn country and I came back
-
to Malaysia was too quiet, and yeah, we're complaining Malaysia
-
too noisy, when when you know what I'm saying.
-
And and and and and and.
-
When I went my workshop, I went to the one
-
that is reaching out to the indigenous people of Malaysia
-
and of all the needs and they know they lack,
-
and how we need to bless them and help them
-
not just spiritually but also education and economically and and
-
and and you know, socially and all these things, and
-
I'm not thinking like, man, you know, I came out
-
going like, there's so much need out there's so much
-
need out there.
-
And I go like, I think some of us urban
-
Christians we gotta repent. Man.
-
You know, in there they got we don't have a
-
church to me, We don't have a Bible to read,
-
you know, it's not fully translated in their sub dialect yet.
-
And here we have Bibles to spare, you know, in
-
our homes, in our apps, you know, in that they
-
don't have a place to worship. And urban Christians we
-
can choose which service to go to. And even then
-
we choose which service go to based on our need.
-
Tomorrow.
-
Tomorrow, I got pick up on in the morning, so
-
I'll go to one thirty, and I hope that you're
-
not here because you got pick up on.
-
If you are, that wasn't me, And that's God. Okay,
-
that's God, all right. I didn't.
-
I didn't know you were pickball, you know, And I
-
pray that you're at one thirty. You're actually not because
-
you're looking for church to satisfy your needs. But you're
-
here to worship Jesus. You're here to serve others. You're here,
-
you know, because they're their souls to reach and and
-
and every time when we live for ourselves, we go
-
back to the same cycle. But God wants us to
-
break that cycle. I know some of you are thinking, like,
-
you know, the last time he tricked us, he gave
-
us a very bad title. But then he was very
-
light and easy. This gave us a hard a nice title.
-
Now he is like gunning for us. No, no, no, no no.
-
You might be thinking, Okaya, where does this lead? Why
-
post cards of hellning? You know, I also want us
-
to break this, not just pat them, but this mindset,
-
that that that makes us think that missional work is
-
for the select fuel and that missionary is a mission
-
trip is something that we sign up when we have
-
the time and resources to do. So.
-
Don't get me wrong.
-
Every time the church organizes a big team effort, get involved, man,
-
get involved. If you never got on the mission trip,
-
go you know, it could be local, could be could
-
be cross cultural. Go go get involved. It's a great
-
way to grow your faith. It's a great way to
-
count your blessings. It's a great way to get to
-
know it other as well. Friendships really deepened. But but
-
I want to go and live more deeper than that,
-
because God's idea was not that a select few gets
-
sent out.
-
God's idea was.
-
Not that, you know, only apostle Paul gets sent out
-
to become this church planter and and letter writing guy
-
is so much more than that.
-
So let's let's go to the apostle Paul.
-
Right, So let's turn to Second Curritans, chapter three, verse
-
two to three.
-
Second Curriatians, Chapter three, verse two to three.
-
Right, and then this is the apostle who's very good,
-
everything like this, and him saying that you know, you know,
-
you know, I'm paraphrasing, but I can imagine it's like
-
you know me, I write letters. But you know what
-
you know, because today right, right, we we revere the
-
different letters right, not the word epistle. It's just an
-
ancient English word for letter, you know. And so if
-
some of your Bible, if you're from like in the NKJV,
-
you'll be like the epistle of you know, uh, you know,
-
you know. So today we go there as a first Courtian,
-
second Courriagers. But it was epistles. It was letters written
-
to the church in Corinth, written to the church in
-
Philippi that we now know as Philippians and stuff like that.
-
So right, sorry, English, lesson over. You are our letters.
-
Let's put it that way. You are our letters, epistles
-
written in our hearts, known and read by all men.
-
All right, clearly you know. And he builds on that.
-
You guys, you're not just here surviving in this city,
-
in this nation.
-
Chur just to get by the apostle Paul saying.
-
That you are letters written from his heart to be
-
read and seen by all men. And this is where
-
we get the idea of like that. People might not
-
read the Bible yet, but they can read you. They
-
can read your face, they can read your heart, they
-
can read your life.
-
And so then it goes on.
-
Not just let us written from our hearts, because he
-
was writing specifically to the church in Corinth, you know,
-
which is very close this heart. But you are letters
-
epistles of Christ, ministered by us, but written not with ink,
-
but with the but by the spirit of the Living God.
-
Not on tablets of stone. But then they use tablets
-
of stone. Now we use tablets, and so not they're
-
far but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.
-
And the apostle pulse trying to tell us that you,
-
guys are letters. Whether you realize it or not, people
-
are reading you. And more than just letters of our ministry,
-
you are letters of the Most High God, sent by.
-
God into the world.
-
And and and and yeah, you're minister too by us.
-
But your life and what God is doing, your salvation
-
and your testimonies, it's inks by the Holy Spirit on
-
the tablet of your heart. That's why my message today
-
is called postcards of Heaven, because that's what we are
-
just incause letters of heaven doesn't ring quite true. Postcards
-
and and and and because postcards always have that right,
-
you know, you send out you look at Oh wow,
-
wish you were here, right, wish you were here, you
-
sent out you know. Postcasts are sent out to really
-
as act of love, to capture a moment, you know.
-
So so sometimes people travel all the far away places
-
and then they sent me postcards, you know, from Greece.
-
I'm like, wow, wow, what is this place to send me?
-
Postcars from Spain, spending postcasts from America, send me poscasts
-
from South America, and and postcards all have basically this premise,
-
wish you were here, wish you could see this because
-
I'm seeing this and I can't wait to for you
-
to see this. So I'm sending you a copy of
-
this via postcard. And that is the heart of God
-
as well. God's idea and expressed by the postle pause,
-
is that when we go out, we will be like
-
postcards or heaven, that when people see you, it's as
-
if Heaven go like, wish you were here too, wish you.
-
Know, like like if you are.
-
Uh, that's the Ivans colleague, and then you don't know
-
what Jesus, but but you read his life, by the.
-
Grace of God, it's gonna look like this. You know.
-
The Holy Spirit's won't be like, hey, wish you were
-
here too, wish you knew me, like how Ivan knows
-
me to wish you could let me work in your life,
-
like how Ivan is letting me work in his life
-
to sign the Holy Spirit int with the blood of Christ.
-
That's God's hard for us and friends. I'm telling you
-
this because unless you begin to view your life like this,
-
it's just gonna be cycle after cycle of typical church
-
going and a form of Christianity having a form of
-
godliness but lacking power. Because what I wish was that man,
-
if only I knew. And so as God's gonna lead
-
us to times and conversations to wake us up to
-
go there are needs out there that's bigger than you,
-
bigger than what.
-
You're going through.
-
Yes, you're going through stuff, but there are other people
-
who have you worse than you, who need my grace,
-
who need my love, who need my peace. And would
-
you be my mouthpiece? Would you be my hands and
-
my feet? Would you be my postcard? And if we
-
have that thought, we don't have to wait, you know,
-
for a deep conversation to happen. To wish that we
-
have prayed a little bit more every day, we would
-
have been like God, I want to be prayed up.
-
I want to read up, and I want to and
-
I want to lift up other people and standing together
-
and lift up their burdens to you, because that's what
-
you saved me for.
-
Amen.
-
And so I just got three points to help us
-
to make this more practical.
-
I hope that.
-
God is beginning to geminate the idea of postcarts being
-
a postcut, being his postcard to a broken world, being
-
a postcart of heaven. But this is how we can
-
make that a greater reality. Point number one. Right, if
-
you want to be a postcut of heaven, if you
-
want God to send you out point number one, let
-
God have you. You see, God can't send what he
-
doesn't have. You See, if God did have a son,
-
he couldn't send a son. But because he had Jesus,
-
he could send Jesus. The question is are you letting
-
God have you? Are you letting God have all of you?
-
You know?
-
How many here you love celebrities? He love?
-
No, true question, not like his He's gonna he's gonna
-
preach something against idols and no, no, no, no, no, how many
-
you not? You have a fandom, you have a right?
-
How many into like K pop?
-
K pop? Right? It's okay, okay, hey you know hey,
-
I mean you know kop? Yeah? Right?
-
And uh know you you man, if you see them,
-
you want to give them something to sign, right, right,
-
just just being real? Yeah, how many of you buy?
-
You guys into sports? You know sports? I know some
-
guys are really into footballers. Right if favorite footballer went
-
to you know, I don't know if if you happen
-
to be at FROTH and your favorite footballer happened to be.
-
Visiting summit, Uh do ask why.
-
Just yeah and ordering coffee from for You'll be like,
-
right you you I don't know you were offered to
-
buy him coffee? Right, you might try to find something
-
to give.
-
Him the sign? Right? How man you hear like movies? Movies?
-
How do you have a favorite movie actor, actress? Right?
-
Yeah, you know? Living living in London, you know the
-
place I want my dog. I don't know why, but
-
I often bump into celebrities there. I just remember, like
-
one time, but but they're not that famous or so
-
like the famous to me, maybe because it really depends
-
on what movies you're you're into, right, uh So, so
-
I know there's one time I just had to go like, like,
-
you know, because sometimes it's so funny, like you don't
-
know celebrities and but your brain recognizes them because you
-
watch movie and read says that this is something with
-
someone famous. So when you walk past, right, it's very
-
bizarre because it feels your brain is saying that you
-
know this person, but your your other brain goes that
-
I don't know this person, right, And then there's this
-
and then makes you do a second take.
-
Right.
-
So I remember one time when I was at the park,
-
I was walking my dog and I saw this actor
-
that looked a lot like the person who played Loki
-
in uh No Avengers thor you know, Tom Hiddlestern and
-
stuff like that. And I just remember, you know, he
-
was wearing a cat walking my dog. He was walking
-
his dog, and walked past each other. And then my
-
brain just had like a you know, like and like,
-
hey him, like it looks like the guy, you know.
-
So I thought nothing about it. Then the next day,
-
I want my daughter, I walked past him again. Uh
-
it's the guy, you know. So in I walk past
-
this guy three times, and so by by the second time,
-
I go like, hey, I think I saw this guy.
-
And by the third time, I'm like, oh, should I
-
do something right for selfie whatever? So I didn't. I
-
just I just tipped my hat. I just I just
-
walked past him and go like sorry, do you know,
-
because I was afraid I'll scare him away out No,
-
I you know, I'm not play cool, not just in
-
case you don't want other people. No, no, I don't
-
want to hear and then other people swarm him and
-
then he would hate me, you know. You know. Also,
-
I just you know, tip had tip his hat back,
-
like yeah, and that was one time, you know, bumm
-
into one of the Jonas brothers. So I wasn't yeah
-
sounded girls here almost fainted. We were out. We were
-
out celebrating the birthday. We were out celebrating the birthday
-
of one of our church members. It's a funny story,
-
like we wanted to this church member's birthday, but we
-
didn't know how. And a want of Cat's friends had
-
a booking in this fancy restaurant, but she couldn't go
-
for so but but if you don't go, if you
-
cancel the booking, then they'll take your money. So she
-
was asked around. So he said, oh, okay, table for four,
-
let's go. British re member out brought another church member
-
and then as well, there this this Tuman god that.
-
That's a Jona's brother. That's a Jonas brother.
-
Because I don't follow that fandom, you see, celebrity. It's
-
very subjective, right, I know some of you like like
-
I don't do football even I know ironic, right, They
-
send you know, like paster Joe vij who's really into football,
-
say that you know he he misses watching football because
-
in Australia it's so hard to catch live matches and
-
then he said that what a joke. Man, God send
-
the guy who's not interested in the football to go
-
through UK. I can watch it in real time in
-
in in you know, normal hours, and so football is go.
-
I got past and I wouldn't know. So this jone's
-
brother walked past. I didn't know, member, what are the brothers?
-
And they're not not just one of the jus brothers,
-
but it was something he's dating. So he was dating.
-
I think now they're divorce already. So sorry, but this
-
girl called Sophie Turner, Sophie Turner. So Sophie turnersund you,
-
it's not the older people, is that?
-
What is that? Google?
-
You can google the day. You can google those. So
-
who wants like a celebrity? She was in some movies
-
and some famous and so they were dating for a
-
while and they were married and they unfortunately, uh separated.
-
But but when we bumm into them, they were dating,
-
and so I thought, you know, typical past energy. I thought,
-
after we finish our meal, they look like they're about
-
to go, So I say, hey, we go. Then as
-
we collect our jackets outside because it's a fancy place.
-
When they take your jackets from you you know, uh
-
and uh, I can't ask them for selfia And then
-
they were like please mauster.
-
Dawn, don't embarrass no h.
-
And then you know things, don't tell your pastor no,
-
you know you you know if you if you ever
-
want your pastor to not do something to tell him? Yes, yes,
-
but great idea. You should plan five more services, plan
-
five more services. If you say don't plan, no, he'll
-
plan anyway you're talking. And so we went there. Long
-
story short, we I cheekily asked, oh, we're.
-
Such big fans. So yeah.
-
I had a moment where I was like, Peter, so
-
I you know, I lied I didn't know him from Adam.
-
Oh, well, big fans.
-
We give it their pictures my friend's birthday a little
-
and and so they were like, oh yeah, sure, okay,
-
but then they will count dating. Don't paparazy to know. Okay,
-
we don't mind taking a picture, but maybe is it
-
okay if we take separately?
-
So I'm like, okay, no mind. You know.
-
So we had a group picture with one a Jonas
-
system on a group picture with the girlfriend and then
-
we then I don't know why. In the end, I
-
think we was having such a good time. They decided
-
to do one group picture of everybody in the praise
-
a lot. Now you might be thinking, what on earth, Okay,
-
I just got to do with what we just talked about. No,
-
that's just my my encounter. I'll tell you my encounter
-
with Spider Man and that time, uh and so and so,
-
if you were to certainly meet the person, could be
-
could be superstar, could be could be athletes, could be singer,
-
could be actor, could be you know, because we got
-
some phdcre could be an academic or Nobel Piece price professor,
-
so and so. For us, it's like, you know, but
-
enough for for people who are into that, they're drooling
-
all over. You know, like.
-
If you if you had a chance to meet.
-
Some of these people, wouldn't you give them something to sign?
-
And and and if you didn't have something to sign,
-
you would you would go sign my hand right, sign
-
sign my You take out your wallet and need to
-
find that you're carrying pharmacy receipt and then you go,
-
like you sign the back of this. You just try
-
to find any piece of paper on material that can
-
hold ink, right, and for this person to sign. You
-
try to capture that moment forever to tell your friends
-
about it. What more, God, when we say, let God
-
have you, and and this is the thing, right, that
-
thing might be My start off is life as you're
-
all Unicorde T shirt equest start off your life as
-
like you know, like if you meet a football star
-
and the only ball you have it's a Biger ball,
-
you're getting him to sign it. And so do you
-
understand when you let God have you? And God is
-
He's above every celebrity. You know, Celebrities come and go.
-
Celebrities come and go. No, they are only as good
-
as their last movie, their last achievement. But but you know,
-
nothing can ever tarnish the name of Jesus. His name
-
is above any other celebrity name, and and and so
-
we understand when a celebrity signs my caring pharmacy received.
-
After the celebrity signs it, that no longer becomes just
-
a receipt, that becomes an artifact, that becomes something you
-
can sell on eBay, that becomes something you can frame,
-
that becomes something you can pass on to your next
-
generation and become a family and loom right, you know,
-
like like if a favor footballer signs your soccer ball.
-
You're not gonna use that soccer ball for You're gonna
-
frame it up, put in a glass case, and it's
-
gonna be passed on to your children and your children's children,
-
et cetera.
-
Let God have you.
-
Many times you think that we don't have anything to offer,
-
and you might not have. But all it takes is
-
it being in the hands of God for it to
-
be immediately transformed into something far more precious, far more powerful,
-
far more meaningful than what it started with. See, God
-
wants to send us out. He says that we are
-
his letters. Would you give him something to write on?
-
Would you be that someone that he can write on?
-
Would you give yourself to him? Give him everything right,
-
give him your heart, give him your mind, give him
-
your job right, and don't mean like give up your job.
-
Give him your job and say that God, I am
-
a letter. Everything attached is a letter of you. So
-
how can I be a lawyer? That is your letter?
-
How can I be an engineer? There's your letter? How
-
can I be a teacher? There's also your letter? How
-
can I be a housewife? There's also your letter? How
-
can I be a businessman? Who is also your letter?
-
How can I be a mother, A full time mom
-
doesn't matter. How can I be a mother who is
-
also your letter? How can I be a father who's
-
also your letter? How can I be a retire who's
-
also your letter? How can I be a neighbor who
-
is also your letter? How can I be a young
-
fifty year old boy who is also your letter?
-
God?
-
How how can I be? But the first step is
-
when you give yourself to him. And for some of
-
us here, we maybe like Peter, God had to reach
-
out to Peter and recreate that first moment again and
-
tell Peter do you love me more than these? And
-
maybe what Peter was thinking, do you love me more
-
than this? It's not just about the fish, but it was.
-
The fish also represented not just his comfort zone, but
-
it was also how he met Jesus.
-
And maybe some of us.
-
Here you are on fire, but you're resting. You're resting
-
on past glory. And you said that, Oh now that
-
I'm young, Wyrda, no time is precious now?
-
But uh, where was a student? Now?
-
I served a lot every day when I was a studenter,
-
I was in church every weekend. When a student, Now
-
I serve all the service. When I was a student.
-
I volunteer in excisus. When I was a student. I
-
took the bus to missions when I.
-
Was a student.
-
Now they're not a student, or now they're not you
-
know stufferent Now no, they'm not a student. I don't
-
have time, and so PRIs Scott. You still love Jesus,
-
but you're resting on past glory, and Jesus is asking
-
the same thing again. Do you love me more than
-
your past glory? Do you love me more than your
-
youth group experience? Do you love me more than your
-
overseas experience? Do you love me more than last year?
-
Do you love me more? Can I have you again?
-
Because maybe for someone us here, you did give yourself
-
to Jesus and he wrote a beautiful letter, but that
-
letter has expired. That letter needs to be updated, and
-
he's asking would you come out of retirement?
-
Would you come out of rest and let me have
-
you again?
-
Maybe if someone us here, it's not past glory but
-
past hurt. You know, you go like, ah, I join
-
one thirty because the people all here very friendly, because
-
I've been hurt by people before, hurt by Christians before.
-
Or I really like the kngs. You know, they ride
-
down to earth. They open up your place for prayer,
-
so nice, let me pack their cat. And but but
-
you know, I don't know, you know, I don't know
-
whether I can trust leaders the way I trust it again,
-
and going saying that, would you come out of your
-
hurt and let him have you again? Point number two
-
is this that God has you? Let God write? You See,
-
a postcard doesn't get to right itself. You need somebody
-
else to write the postcard. Right, it's very beautiful. Right,
-
somebody has to pay for the postcard. So we're all
-
here because Jesus paid for us, and so now we
-
let him write. Would you let God be the author
-
of your faith? Some of us are like, okay, fine,
-
God have me, but don't touch, don't write, you know.
-
Some of us, you know, some of us were scared
-
to even go for Missions conference or anything like that,
-
because we're like, if I go, got my semi out,
-
so I love God, I'll go to church, but missions,
-
no way, jose And because he might send me to
-
the country that I really I'm afraid of.
-
And I don't know why.
-
Every time you say timbak to timbak, do you know
-
maybe one day will meet meeping Tibaktu and go like,
-
w it's achally very nice, you know, like you know,
-
you go there, realize it's modern day Wakanda or something.
-
And then and they realized, shocks, I shuld have come
-
to Timbuktu. But but but the areas of our faith.
-
Maybe maybe it's not missions. Maybe maybe it's how you
-
spend your free time. Maybe it's how you spend your money.
-
God was to use you, you know. And and maybe
-
you're in a position where you can financially be a blessing,
-
but you're not a millionnaire.
-
It's easy to go to God.
-
Please save Jeff Bezos, the owner of Amazon, the second
-
richest person in the.
-
World, and and and and and.
-
And save him and make him like a modern day
-
you know, Zacharias or something or that, you know, where
-
he will come down from his tree and he will
-
sell half of Amazon shares and give to the poor. God,
-
please do that. But that's you dictating how God will write.
-
But God oftentimes would not write the story where the
-
millionaire gives half its possession away. But God in the
-
Bible has written where it was the nameless young boy
-
who gave his lunch away so that God could use
-
that five floors and two fish to feed five thousand people.
-
Do you understand? Sometimes we want God to move, but
-
we don't want him to write. We don't want him
-
to have control. We don't want him to have final say,
-
we don't want him to have the right to add it.
-
You go like, this is my story, Please don't touch
-
it by God. I say, I'm the author, I'm the editor,
-
I'm the publisher. Let me edit. You think that's a
-
good ending. I have a better ending. You think that's
-
a sad ending. But actually it's a good ending. And
-
you can see this. When Peter was talking to Jesus,
-
he says that one day you're gonna go where you
-
don't wanna go. You're gonna be led. And the Bible
-
says very clearly, and Jesus is describing, hinting, telegraphing the
-
final moments of Peter's life and how he would die.
-
But he says that his death will glorify him. How
-
would you want to die peaceful death that doesn't glorify God,
-
or a tragic death that glorifies him. Of course you'd
-
be like, past, don't don't be so extremely don't Maybe
-
choose can be only this two outcome.
-
Right, But what if God desires that.
-
Yesterday a missions conference we learn of the missionary, right, Jimilien.
-
Right.
-
I'm sure he would have loved to start a mission's
-
outreach to the Amazonians and and and and and.
-
You know, build them a church and disciple them.
-
But but God's plan was that he would give his life.
-
And in the giving of his life, God is glorified,
-
but an entire generation is mobilized. Will you let God
-
write your life?
-
Every day?
-
Would you boldly pray this prayer? God, I give my
-
life to you today. God, please write my story today.
-
I have my plans, I have my purposes, I have
-
my appointments, I have my meetings. All right, so please
-
don't misunderstand and think this is an excuse to be lazy. Okay,
-
every day you just wake up there, you know, you
-
know this. This is not like like Christian fortune telling.
-
You know, it's not like you wake up and you
-
go like, I'm just brainless, I'm just nothing.
-
God use me.
-
You throw your Bible to the floor and whatever page
-
it lands on, is you all like? Then you have
-
a board that says that number one means what color?
-
Number two and and and no, no, no, it's not like that.
-
It means that God give me. I'm I'm You're giving
-
me an opportunity to to to work here, to study here,
-
to live here. I have my appointments today, I have
-
stuff to do today. But God, right, God added, God
-
please add, God please subtract, and and the literally helps
-
us because if certainly that day doesn't go exactly how
-
imagine it, you don't have to be frustrated, because go,
-
maybe God's editing something, you know, Oh I missed that
-
business steal. Oh my boss is gonna be so angry.
-
But maybe God's writing something. Maybe maybe that's the start
-
of a plot twist, you know. And so would you
-
let God write you? Would you let him right over you?
-
Because for some of us here it's our past, you know,
-
our hurts, our excuses, And would you God, would you
-
let God just you know, I'm old. So we have
-
this thing called liquid paper, you know, so like you know,
-
this thing where you go and then you you.
-
Know, and then wait for you dry.
-
Right, would you let God liquid not paper over you,
-
but liquid his grace over you?
-
Right? You know? Would you let God highlight.
-
God while you highlighting these areas I want to keep
-
them secret.
-
You know, God, why you? Why are you exposing me?
-
And and but yet when we visit I don't know,
-
the Japanese Museum or something. You are blessed enough to
-
visit Japan itself, you know, you visit the place and
-
go like, oh, this is the ancient earth firm of
-
kid Tsunagi, where we crack the busselin and we put
-
it back together in gold.
-
And then you'll be like, ah, so smart people.
-
But like God's doing the same thing, and God's saying that, Yeah,
-
I'm the potter, you're the clay, and I put you
-
together again, and the cracks in your life, I can
-
use the goal of my grace.
-
And I'm highlighting your cracks. Don't expose me. I'm hiring
-
your crest. Don't expose me.
-
But I'm highlighting them so that they are no longer
-
something to be a shame of. You See, if it's
-
a crack, you want to hide it, you turn the
-
company other way around. If it's a chip, you want
-
to hide it, turn it. But if it's cover in gold,
-
you want to feature it. And so for some of
-
us here we go like, God, you know my past,
-
it's ugly and God saying that, let me add it,
-
let me revisese. Let me highlight what I need to highlight.
-
Let me wipe over what I need to wipe over.
-
Let me add it. Would you let God add it?
-
They see the world needs Jesus, and God is looking
-
for people that can send out. He's looking for vessels.
-
And after you say yes to being a vessel, you're
-
gonna let God fill the vessel. Fill it with what
-
he wants to feel, right, what he wants to write.
-
Some of you here, maybe the law has challenged you
-
to start something, get involved in something. But I don't
-
think I can. But if God says you can, you can. God,
-
you know your stir might have to give to a
-
family in need.
-
I don't have. I don't have.
-
I have some savings. I'm saving up for my wedding.
-
I'm saving up for my dream car. I'm saving up
-
for all that that break that I really need. God,
-
why don't you ask somebody else's richer? God says, I'm
-
asking you, and I don't know right this part of
-
your life?
-
Would you let him right?
-
Some of us here we have different hopes and dreams
-
in our life. Some of us here we you know
-
we we we dream of just just just no random example.
-
As I'm saying this, I don't want to hurt anyone,
-
but you know, we all have dreams. Know we want
-
to you know, get a job, find someone, get married,
-
have kids, settled down you know, or set them down,
-
have kids in that sequence. And about what if I'm
-
saying this lovingly, but what if That's not God's plan
-
for you? Would you hate him or would you serve him?
-
You know?
-
We we live in a culture where we glorify relationships
-
and we make the single people feel like they are less,
-
We make them feel cursed. And single people come to
-
church and every time they go to a wedding day
-
they feel like they are reminded I'm still alone. Every
-
year past they feel like my eggs are drying up,
-
you know. And there's nothing wrong with a desire to
-
have children and to start a family, to be with somebody.
-
But but God aways are higher. Don't get me wrong.
-
You know, God can use families for missions. God can
-
also use single people for missions. But what I'm saying
-
is that, you know, can we let God write because sometimes,
-
you know what the disappointments that we go through in
-
life is self inflicted.
-
It's self inflicted. You know.
-
Let's say, for example, you're single, and God never find
-
me anywhere in the Bible that says that if you're single,
-
your cursed. But it says that, you know, be fruitful,
-
multi blood. Yeah, but where does it say if you're
-
single your curse. Show me where Jesus is said, you know,
-
I wish that none of you are single. No, in fact,
-
he says the opposite. Somebody asks Jesus, the way you
-
describe marriage just like man, So isn't it better if
-
you don't get married? And Jesus not a lot of
-
people can handle that, and you stop talking and stop
-
teaching that. But you know, the most blessed person in
-
all creation is Jesus. And he was single, he had
-
no biological children, he had no wife, and yet he's blessed.
-
So it's self inflicted, self our disappointments, self inflicted, you know. Yeah,
-
in the Old Testament before full multiplier, But in the
-
New Testament it says that go and make disciples, and
-
Jesus is saying that I'm doing a new thing in me.
-
Even the single can have children, it's called spiritual children.
-
And then when you have a chance to invest into
-
people and see them saved, see them discover Jesus both
-
can I marry. We've had, you know, an opportunity to
-
really see one young girl's life transformed.
-
She was radically saved by Jesus.
-
And then we had the opportunity to disciple her, do
-
life with her and don't see her baptized, see her
-
get trained up as a as a leader. And then
-
can I say, all this is like a spiritual child.
-
And then we were like, oh, this is better because
-
we don't need to give birth to her like Kat
-
didn't have to.
-
You know.
-
Now now we have our own child, so that's different.
-
Now I didn't have to change a know, the kind
-
of thing. You know, I can just work through youth
-
ministry and have somebody see.
-
Me like a spiritual parent. Right.
-
But what I'm saying is this that it can be
-
a similar blessing. You know, you don't you don't have
-
to self inflict. You don't, like, let God write. If
-
God is writing this season of your life, you know,
-
enjoy what God is writing, don't fight against it, right
-
and and let let God be glorified. And maybe someone
-
was here, you know, it's the same. Maybe you're praying
-
God to heal you of a certain disease, and maybe
-
God's not writing healing. God's writing persevering you persevere or
-
would you give up? See a lot of times we
-
give up our faith. We get angry with God when
-
we don't have the right to. When God has always
-
been there. He's the one that actually has right to
-
be anger and disappointed.
-
Yet he is.
-
Anger is never long, and he's never disappointed, and it's
-
always there, you know, Like the Father and the Parable
-
of the Lost Son. The moment he sees the prodigal
-
come back, he runs and covers, and nowhere in the
-
Parable says that what did you do your inheritance? He
-
gave him a ring, restores him. That's the God we serve.
-
And so, friends, if God is asking to persevere, persevere.
-
If God is asking to hang on, hang on and surrender,
-
surrender your career maybe for someone us here. I know
-
you're thinking, Man, I hate this job. It doesn't pay well.
-
I hit this place.
-
I want to know. My friends say, if you move
-
to Singapore, you earn more money. If you move to
-
that company, earn more money.
-
If you move through this, you know you you get
-
all of your dreams come true.
-
That's what people say. But what about God? What is
-
God saying?
-
And maybe God is maybe your heart is crying for
-
Singapore or whatever country, and God is writing Malaysia. You're
-
crying off for marriage and God and saying them be single.
-
And you go like, why am I ugly?
-
God?
-
And God says you're beautiful? If I'm beautiful, why my single?
-
Because the story hasn't ended yet, Because maybe getting together,
-
being married, the idea of a family is a good thing,
-
but it's become an idol in your life. And if
-
I give it to you, I will lose you, and
-
I don't want to lose you. Let him write point
-
out of three and the end of this, let God
-
send you. See a postcard is not fun. If you
-
have it, have you been there before? I definitely have
-
been guilty. I can go traveling, I buy a postcar,
-
Oh all right for my friend, and then I forget
-
to send it out?
-
Have been there before? You know?
-
You only send out or you return to your native country.
-
Then the stem they get is from Malaysia. You know,
-
wish you were here Colorado, USA? Why is the stem
-
like good dad, a buddy? It's like what is this
-
I mean, I mean those of you who you stamping,
-
that's how you are like stamp is that you know?
-
You know? Now you just I don't know tag them
-
on Instagram. But I let God send you. Let God
-
send you right and and if God's going to send you,
-
let us send you everywhere. And if you're going to
-
send you, then learn to see where you are placed.
-
It's not just where you are, but where you are sent.
-
Once you see your office as where you have been sent,
-
it changes your perspective. Once you see your family as
-
where you have been sent, it.
-
Changes your perspective.
-
You know, I'll come from a broken family, but you've
-
been sent there by God so that you can be
-
light in the darkest of places.
-
Well, I hate my company.
-
My boss is a tyrant, and that's where you're being sent,
-
not to be punished, so that you can be sought
-
and light, so that that whole place can come to
-
know Jesus. But you don't understand my boss is a tyrant.
-
If Joseph can change the heart of the Pharaoh and
-
Daniel and his friends never canzza I'm pretty sure your
-
boss is not.
-
As bad as that.
-
If if if Daniel and his friends can change the
-
heart of a person who at a whim can throw
-
people into the fire.
-
You know esself.
-
You might be thinking that you have my boss. At
-
a whim, he can fire me. Then you're in good
-
company because because you know similar. No do you not
-
see how similar you know? And it's now suddenly you
-
go like, ah, I thought I'm working for you know something,
-
something is in younger heart.
-
It feels like it's some young Babylon. It's good.
-
Then then if you feel like you're in a Babylon,
-
then the Book of Danny becomes even more real and
-
applicable to you. And God is merely showing you that
-
it can be done. The giants in life can be defeated,
-
the tyrants can be thrown down, and people can change.
-
Would you see your school as where you're sent? Would
-
you see your work as where you're sent? Would you
-
see your church as where you've been sent? Would you
-
see your postcode? Would you see Subanja as where you've
-
been sent? Hey, man, let God send you, because like
-
I said, the world, the world out there is desperate
-
to know that there is hope. People are going through
-
so much brokenness and they need to know that there
-
is a God who can fix it.
-
People are.
-
Being choked up by the opinions of others, and they
-
need to know that there is a word that can
-
set them free, that is better than the opinion of others,
-
and it's the word of our Christ who loves them
-
very much. But we got to be sent out because
-
if we don't go, how would they know? No, yes,
-
they want the workshops. I ask somebody, oh you went
-
for the workshop, you know, because now I'm older, my
-
eyesight is failing me and go like, oh I saw
-
there's an acronym, not bl eess, no marketplace? What's beers say?
-
I don't know, they're jokingly, I say, be employed, is it?
-
You know, like you know, or be at work?
-
You know.
-
But you know, allchos deside maybe we need to be
-
at work, you know, like like really be present at
-
work and not just go there, you know. I know,
-
yesterday I was having a conversation with my cousin and
-
it's telling me how good he has it. I can
-
work from home every day or do not have an
-
office to go to God Lab. But then they allow
-
me to work from home and they go like, why
-
you know, where did you go? You can't love your
-
neighbor if you're working from home, right, you can't know
-
your colleague. If you're working from home, you can be
-
a blessing if you're working from home. Now, the thing
-
against working from home when you need to work from home,
-
but think about it. If your work is where God
-
has sent you, is working from home the best way
-
to be sent. You're gotta ask yourself that. And it's
-
God writing your day. You're writing today, I will work
-
from home.
-
Haha. Would you let God have the final idea of that?
-
And right, you see, unless we go out there, unless
-
we have those conversations, unless we have that you know,
-
cause sometimes this conversation had it wasn't like I didn't
-
pry it out from them, you know, I didn't go.
-
Like, so how's your marriage? I didn't.
-
And maybe there is already a certain grace when we
-
carry the peace of God that when we end that
-
when we sit down, there is something that glows from
-
us that puts people at ease and they're just waiting
-
for the right person to ask them. And you could
-
be that right person. You could be that listening ear,
-
you could be that mouthpiece. And sometimes what people need
-
is not like oh no, what wor scripture to recite.
-
Sometimes what people need is just a listening ear, just
-
a hug, just a pet, or if you're so touched
-
and so hurt by what they're going through, tears and
-
they will go like, I don't know whether there's a God,
-
but all I know that is in my deepest and
-
darkest moments, it was the Christians who cried with me.
-
I don't know if there's a God, but I know
-
that in my loneliest moments, when I feel so unloved,
-
when everyone is trying to cancel me, it was the
-
Christians who stood with me. I don't know whether there's
-
a God, but all I know is that when I
-
was hungry and and and had nothing, it was the
-
Christians who invited me over for a meal.
-
It was a Christians who blessed me, or the Christians
-
who who? Who? Who?
-
Who paid for my bill? And then then they meet
-
another letter they see. They meet letter one, Christian number
-
one that sits with. Then then they meet Christian number
-
two that christ if. Then then they meet Christian number
-
three that comforts, and they meet Christian number four who
-
maybe shares the gospel. They meet Christian number five who
-
invites them to church and meet Christian number six who who?
-
And the story goes on.
-
You know, if you get sent five postcards from the
-
same place, don't you think that it's a sign you
-
gotta visit? Right, it's only all five friends of yours
-
start sending you postcards. You got to visit ePol. You're
-
gonna be like, maybe I should visit Epo. You see,
-
we just need to give God. Say God, use me
-
God right over my life, over right. Help me to
-
forgive those I need to forgive. Help me to let
-
go what I need to let go. Help me not
-
to become my own stumbling block to what you want
-
to move this because that's what the devil wants. He
-
wants us to inflict our own wound, get ourselves disappointed
-
when God never disappointed us, so that it stops us
-
from hearing and being sensitive to where God wants us
-
to be, where God wants us to go. Some of
-
us here, Maybe you're thinking of changing a job. Is
-
it you who want or is it something that God
-
wants some of us here? Maybe you're thinking of I
-
don't know, God for a bid, change church or whatever.
-
But is that something you want? Is that something once.
-
Amen, Because at the end of the day, it's not
-
about living for ourselves. We are letters of the Most
-
High God, written in ink by His Holy Spirit.
-
There are hearts.
-
No longer be tablets of stone, but tablets of flesh
-
and blood that the world can see. Let's pray. Thank you, Lord, Lord,
-
We thank you Lord, and we just asked Lord, would
-
you change us?
-
Lord?
-
Every time you open up your word, let it be
-
like a mirror that that shines in. And Lord, help
-
us to change and help us to be transformed according
-
to your word. And right now today I just want
-
to pray and that my brother sister here. Then maybe
-
they have been, you know, previously revived, but right now
-
they are resting. Right now they are look warm. Friends,
-
don't be look warm anymore? Friends, don't you know your
-
past glory? Cannot say if you God's not done with
-
you yet? Would you let him have you again? Or
-
would you let him have all of you? Some of
-
us here you say God has me, but friends, he
-
maybe he doesn't have.
-
All of you.
-
Would you surrender and learn to surrender all of your life?
-
Would you learn to surrender your relationship? Would you learn
-
to surrender your family life? Would you learn to surrender
-
your financers who learn to surrender not to men but
-
to God.
-
Amen?
-
If your house, if if your life is like a house,
-
what you know? Does Jesus have all access or does
-
he have a basement that you say is don't touch?
-
Or does he have a wardrobe that you say don't touch?
-
Or does he have do you have a garage that
-
it says don't touch? Or would you say, God, come
-
and have it all? And those of us who have
-
given God are all? Would you let him write and
-
let him continue to write? Maybe some of you here
-
you are struggling to understand why you know. You're saying, God,
-
I've been faithful, but I don't feel blessed.
-
God.
-
I love you, but how come other people who don't
-
know you seem to be overtaking me in career, overtaking
-
me in life? And and Lord, I feel left behind God,
-
I've been so faithful. Yeah, I feel left behind. I
-
feel forgotten. Friends. I'm here to tell you lad, God right,
-
and stop getting in the way, and and and and
-
learn to live according to God's pace Because we serve
-
for God, who says that the first shall be last
-
and last shall be first. He works on a different
-
his time line than us. He works from eternity.
-
He he he.
-
He has a different point of view than us. He
-
has Heaven's view of all of creation. To let him write.
-
God knows what we need. Let him write, and also
-
let him overwrite your plans and your purposes. Let him
-
over write, let him add it. Let him highlight what
-
he needs to highlight. Let him cross out what you
-
need to cross out. Let him turn the page that
-
you don't want to turn.
-
Let him close the chapter.
-
That you don't want to close, and so that he
-
can open a new chapter for you. But let him
-
write last one, not only after he's surrendered life. You're
-
You're his writing on you. Then, friends begin to see
-
where you are at as where you have been sent.
-
You're in Malaysia because you've been sent here, not just
-
born here, sent here. You're not just working there. You're
-
sent there. It's more than the paycheck. You've been sent there.
-
You know your neighborhood, your postcode. You're there not because
-
you kind of thought better housing or whatever. You've been
-
sent there. It's a rough street. You've been sent there.
-
Why God, why would you send me? Don't you love me?
-
I love you. That's why I'm sending you there, so
-
that other people can be loved by me. Lord, have
-
your way today, have your way, and forgive us of
-
the many times where we've been so engrossed with our
-
own routine and by own ones and needs, that we
-
forget that you saved us, not so that we can
-
collect us to heaven, but you saved us so that
-
we can bring Heaven down to earth. And Lord, the
-
world we need. The world right now does not look
-
like Heaven. The world right now, Lord, there's so much
-
undercurrents of sickness and disease, undercurrents of divorce, undercurrents of
-
bodily pain, and and and and and sickness and and
-
and Lord, the world needs you.
-
The world needs you. The world needs your deliverance.
-
The world needs your miracles now more than ever before.
-
The world needs you. So, Lord, help us to be
-
sent by you. And Lord, knowing that we are sent
-
by you, help us to live a lifestyle of clean
-
hands and pure heart, because you never know when you
-
might just use us to speak, and you might use
-
us to pray. And so Lord, help us to always
-
be ready for your glory. In Jesus Na me pray.
-
Amen.
-
Right, why don't we all stand and let's worship God
-
a little bit more? Amen, hallelujah, Thank you Jesus, Thank
-
you Lord.
-
Amen.
-
Amen, Let's ask God to just wash us clean as
-
in the part is holy fire upon us again.
-
Your path, you have me time come.
-
That's why this is white.
-
It's about jeezus cries spread.
-
We need your holy spirit. Would you feel us a
-
fresh lawn?
-
Lord, have your way over our lives, your times and geez,
-
says Criss, hallelujah.
-
Let's just say and let your fire fall down. Hallelujah.
-
That God wants sir, burn away the past eleves. We
-
need your revival. Long, touch us again.
-
Long. We don't want to be seeing go gone. We
-
don't want to be selfish.
-
Law, give us a new hearts, give us new eyes
-
to see.
-
You, give us a new heart to feel. And you
-
have your were.
-
We need you, holy spiral, that your fine holly.
-
Were five.
-
Money and fire.
-
That's your speed fall fondness and your will being.
-
And your brill.
-
Till every time.
-
Till every time con fast that gus, till every time
-
con fast that geeze one more time till li every
-
time come fast that Gesus cries.
-
That's why it's about till every time confess as the
-
waters covers the.
-
Sea and the earth. So Lord, we want people to
-
know of your glory. Friends.
-
Before we close this service, I pray that we will
-
not only leave this place more open to what God
-
wants to do in our lives, more surrendered, more submitted,
-
tearing the old page of our own lifestyle and saying, God,
-
write a new story. But I also just want to
-
give people here who don't know Jesus the opportunity to
-
know him. You see, like we said today, the world
-
is broken, so much messed up stuff going out there.
-
We're just even just scraping the tip of the iceberg.
-
Crime, you know, corruption, poverty, just just you know, oppression, wars, family.
-
Natural you know, you name it. The world. The world
-
is broken.
-
It's not because of greenhouse effects or environmental reasons only.
-
But there is a curse. The Bible says there is
-
a curse upon this earth, a curse that came from
-
our word disobedience to God. As humanity, we are living
-
in disobedience against the Creator, and that's causing a malfunction
-
to happen in all of creation. The Bible cause that
-
a curse, and from that curse comes all forms of
-
corruptions and mutations and all these things. God doesn't want
-
us to perish. God doesn't want us to live under
-
this curse. God wants to set us free. Christianity is
-
not for people who think they can make it on
-
their own. Is for people who realize that compared to
-
God and his holiness, we are nothing but sinners. We
-
cannot save ourselves. We are not smart enough, we're not
-
clean enough, we're not pure enough.
-
We just can't.
-
We can't even with the best intentions. We are not
-
driven enough to save ourselves.
-
We need God.
-
And so how you become a Christian simple as abc A.
-
Admit that you need God, Admit that you are a sinner.
-
Admit that I can't save myself. I need him. The
-
problem with the world today it's me. It starts with me,
-
it's all of us. But the solution also starts with me.
-
So admit that you need God, and then believe in Jesus.
-
Put your faith in him, not in the world, not
-
on money, not on yourself, but put your faith in Jesus,
-
the Son of God, Jesus who God, who was God.
-
But he came in.
-
Human form, and he absorbed all the sin and and
-
everything wrong that we've ever done. And then he went
-
to the cross more than two thousand years ago and
-
was crucified in our place. Believe in that, and not
-
only believe in that man and his teaching, but believe
-
in the fact that after he was crucified, he died
-
and he rose again. We believe because Jesus rose again.
-
If Jesus didn't rise, there's nothing he would just be
-
in another man. But because he rose again, only God
-
can overcome death. When he rose again, he was saying
-
that I am God who made no way for you.
-
So believe in him and then commit your life to him.
-
Commit your life to follow him. That's what Christianity is.
-
We're getting better each day, We're getting more healed each day.
-
We're changed day by day, season by season. We just
-
need to keep following Jesus.
-
