You're listening to a message to go from acts Church.

We hope this message will light up your day.

But I want you to know that it's going to

be okay. I want to share with you from Scripture

today and I'm going to be reading from Philippians four

six to seven. And I believe this is going to

be a scripture that you're going to be blessed with

because I want to give you an understanding of what

this is all about. So Scripture says in Philippians for

six or sevences, be anxious for nothing, but in everything,

by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be

made known to God. Prayers application, make your requests be

known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses

all understanding, will God your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

God's very gracious to us. You know, He knows the

kind of people that we are. When he says don't worry,

does that stop us from worrying? But he says don't worry.

He tells us that, and yet we do. So we're

the kind of people that kind of do the things

that God tells us not to do. Why not God

said don't eat the apple. What did they do? They

ate the apple? What's wrong with us? It's just usla,

you know. So God, being God knows who we are.

He decided to say, all right, since you're going to

be actively doing something, he says this, be anxious. Be anxious,

very positive, right, be anxious. But then he said, don't worry.

So you gotta know that God is giving a very

positive spin on something negative that we always do. So

he starts off positively. He says, be anxious. Hey, if

I can't stop you, then I will tell you something.

Be anxious for nothing. If you want to be actively anxious,

be actively anxious knowing that there's nothing to be anxious about.

That's what he's saying. Does that sound confusing to you

a little? You can't stop worrying, right, So he is saying,

if you have to worry about something, be worried that

there's nothing to be worried about, nothing to worry about.

God is telling you in your life today there is

nothing you can be anxious for that he cannot handle.

So he says, be anxious for nothing. Be anxious for nothing.

And as you get a little bit further and deeper in,

you'll understand Okay, now be anxious for nothing. You know

what this is word nothing means, It means believe it or not.

Any man, how many of us got monsters for bosses?

Don't put up your hands because some of you may

be bosses or some of the people here o here,

So how many people got monsters for bosses? You know?

So God is actually saying, do not be worried for

any man or anything. So he is putting a blanket

that you don't have to worry about those jokers that

are trying to get you. The world is trying to

get you in case you don't know, the world is

actually experiencing a lot of turmoil. But at the same time,

a lot of peace is coming. Right. We're all happy

about peace. Be happy, Please be happy because we say

pray for the peace. Be happy about the peace. But

you know what scripture says, when the whole world starts

crying peace, peace, peace, watch out the ends about to come.

That's why I keep saying Jesus is coming again and

is coming against soon. There's too many things happening for

us to close to turn a blind eye. We have

to be ready, we have to be watchful, we have

to be prepared, so it says, yere, don't be worried

about any man. Then it says, don't be worried about

any thing. So I put this separate a little separate here,

with separation between anything, any thing, any item. I didn't

want to just concentrate in the world. I wanted to

be specific. So if there's an issue you're worried about, Hey,

I don't have a job, It's okay. You're still here.

I don't see you skin and bones, so somehow you

must be getting food. I don't see you here naked,

so you've got clothes on your body. Don't have a job,

but you still got clothes in your body. Don't be

worried about any thing, so men can get to you

and your problems can't get to you. How cool is that?

And God is actually telling you don't be anxious about

these things. So he's using the positive to describe how

he overrules what is negative. Now you understand, Okay, he's

using a positive to tell you how he overrules the

negatives in life. I've had so many such issues today.

I had one person come up to me and say,

you know, I need prayer because I've got I've got

a mouth to feed. I've got a childhood and my

job is suffering it and I don't know what to do.

That's a good place to be if you don't know

what to do, don't know what to do in God's presence,

because then he will tell you what to do. So

I told him before I prayed for him, I told him, said,

let me just tell you this. I say, I had

a time in my life when I had no job.

Six months no job. Wow, six months no job. You

know how difficult that is. When you got two children,

you got car to pay for, house to pay for

bills to pay for How is it possible? I'm still here.

So when all these tensions and pressures start coming upon you,

if you allow it to destroy you, it will destroy you.

But I went to the Lord and say God, what

do I do? He says, worship me. You mean to

see when trouble is happening, Just worship that's the answer. Yeah,

that's why he told me to do. So I got

up in the morning five o'clock. I go into the room.

I worshiped the Lord. I raise my hands, I sing

songs to him, I praise him, I fall on my

knees go flat on my face. I dance before the Lord.

What dancing before the Lord is worshiped? It's in the Bible.

Will you see me dance before the Lord? I don't know,

but I know in God's presence, I dance before the Lord,

and I worship him and I praised him every morning.

By the fifth day, the week hadn't even ended. I

get a phone call, Hey, I got a job for you.

You know what kind of job? General manager? From nothing

to GM. Listen. I didn't even apply for. How is

this possible? Because God is a god of the impossible.

So in my darkest, hardest time, I ran to the

one who had the answer. Who was it, Jesus. I

worshiped him. That's all I did. I didn't bang my

head against the wall. I didn't. I'm not saying fast

thing is wrong. I didn't fast. I just worshiped him.

Should I tell you about the time I got a

job when I was fifty eight years old? How many

of you know that in Malaysia, once you're past fifty,

nobody wants to touch you. Do you know that the

culture in Malaysia is strange. If you're over the age

of thirty five, you're already ancient for guys, h for guys. No,

but I'm being serious here. There's something about you know,

elsewhere around the world you're sixty five, you're sixty eight,

you're sixty nine, they will still employ you. But in

militia they don't want to touch you. It was time

for me to go. So I prayed to Lord, Lord,

what do I do? Who's going to employ me at

this age, this job that I'm in. It's time for

me to go because I have a monster for a boss.

So either you remove him or you remove me. So

what am I going to do? I left it. I prayed,

like what I'm about to tell you. I trusted it, and

I believe God. You know what. Somebody called me and say,

can you come for an interview? So I went for

an interview. What the interview went very well? What that

day was very trouble well, interview go well, also your trouble. Yes,

I'm telling you that's how it is. We like to

be troubled. I told you at the very beginning. We

just love to worry about whatever we can worry about.

So the interview went very well, and I was troubled.

So I went to sleep that night and in a dream,

the Lord spoke to me and he said, Terence, don't

be worried. Take the job. It's going to be good

for you. That's what he told me. Okay. So I

was cool about it, and I didn't. I didn't imply

apply for this job. Okay. Somebody else gave my my

resume and the person looked at the resume and gave

me a call. Uh. So I went to see this person.

I went, So now they call me, I'm say, oh,

the director wants to see you. Okay. So that at

the appointed time, I went to see the director. There there,

I'm here and she said welcome, and I said, hang

on a minute, can I tell you something? Hey, what

this is? You know, I knew you're gonna call me.

I knew you're gonna call me and offer me the job.

My first words is the first time I'm meeting the

I'm telling you the truth. First time I'm meeting the person.

And I said, God told me to take this job

because it was going to be good for me. Then

the director turned around and said, you know what, I

had no position for you, but when I saw your resume,

I couldn't put it down. And God spoke to me

and said, create a position for him. You won't regret it.

Those were her first words to me. Needless to say,

I got the job at the age of fifty six

fifty seven. Actually, how is this possible? Guys? I'm sharing

with you things that they are going to take you

up and take you over, and I hope you get

it from here. So anything. Don't be worried about anything.

But it says but in everything, Hey, guys, everything is

much more than this, worth everything. It means this, It

means all, all in all, and also there's a time framework.

You know what is the time framework? Always in all, always,

in everything, always. There is no time limitation to this.

It's always. And you know the thing is this. It's

not some, it's not half. It's thoroughly, it's completely. It

is all immersive, it is complete. And it also means whatsoever.

Whatever means think of your problem, it qualifies, think of

your issue. Yes, that's what God is talking about. Think

of anything. Yes, my friend covered my father covered sickness.

Of course, that's what the scripture means. What so ever,

it also means whosoever, meaning that for any person, any issue.

You're not the most wicked person qualifies. Do you know

in my life I've prayed for someone who every ten

words come out of the mouth nine words are four

letter words, cheated on his wife? I know? But you know,

non Christian, what do you do? You pray for them?

Prayed for him? He finds the Lord and he becomes

a pastor. Yes, do you see that God is much

more than our little minds? Then it says this in everything,

guess what in prayer? In prayer, there's a difference between

what I'm about to tell you prayer. This word prayer

means earnest prayer, supplication, and petition. There's a difference. Prayer

is the reasoning is the reasoning? What reasoning do you

bring before the Lord? You want to know? An example

of reasoning reasoning is like what Abraham did for Lord.

He goes before the Lord and he says, God, come on,

my God, you're such a nice God, very fair. You

want to destroy the city fifty people? You destroy my

He's reasoning with the Lord. No, God, what the Lord said, Okay,

you got fifty good ones, I'll let it go. Then

he says, oh that was too easy, Let's try some more. God,

what about fortyear will you consider? Of course I'll consider. Say,

I'm not so sure about forty, Like this is quite

about twenty? What about ten? Reasoning? So prayer is your

reasoning before the Lord? Lord? Why you know why I

should get this? You know why I should get a

good wife because you said it, Lord God in Genesis.

You reason now before the lord. So you make it

the Lord's problem. Yeah, yeah, I said it. So now

it's the Lord's problem. Now he's gonna find you one

true not reason before the Lord Lord. I need a job,

a good job. Why you know, God, you it was

you gave me my wife? Why not? So now reasoning

a further reason? First you asked for the wife, Lord,

it was use it beat now's you got a wife? Lord? Lord?

It was you said, I'm supposed to provide. Why not

as you provide the church? I'm suppo. Use you the

head of the church. You are my head. I have

got to look after my wife. So I make it

your problem. Now God's okay with there? You reason before

the Lord. Lord. Now I have a wife. Don't you

think my job needs to get better? I got to

look after her. What you think I can live on

love in fresh air? Cannot My father and mother always

say I cannot live on love in fresh air. Now

I've made my bit. I have to sleep in it

right now? You know all the stories your father and

mother always tell you. Craigna, you reason before the Lord? Supplication?

Is this? A lot of us think that when we

reason before the Lord, we have prayed. No. If we

talk about the subject around and around and around, but

we don't get to the actual asking, God will not

do anything because supplication is actually after all the discussion

asking the Lord. Lord, you got me the wife, and

now you've got to give me the money to look

after writing a Lord, So, Father, I ask you in

Jesus name for a better paying job. Clear, that is supplication.

So you see the difference between and supplication. Hey, praying

is good. Always go one step further when you pray.

When you reason before the Lord, end it with a request.

Is it that the word prayer means all this? These

are the steps you have to take. And lastly, petition.

You know what petition means. Petition means you do not

give up on it. When you make a petition, you

do not give up on it. It doesn't mean you

ask the same thing, but every time you come before

the Lord, you declare it's truth. God, I have asked

you for this, and I know you're going to give

it to me. I still wait in earnest expectation of

this being done. Prayers all this, so you see, English

is very limited. You got to understand that when God

expects you to grow up and grow all the expects

you to understand in order for things to happen. And

then it says this sir, with thanksgiving. So it's not

good enough just to reason. It's not good enough just

to make your request known to God, and it's certainly

not good enough to always remind him about it. If

you have no thanksgiving in your heart, what is thanksgiving? Guys?

I got nothing against the younger generation, but I got

to tell you there is a difference between the younger

generation and the older generation. The older generation if we

did not say thank you behind the head one way,

you're too young. How many any old ones here who

know what I mean? Right? Not? You get on the

head if you do not show Mannus your God. You

don't show Manus he's God. Okay? When you when you

are giving thanks to God, you know what you're showing

to God. You're showing him manners. You're giving him respect,

you are honoring him for what he does for you.

M do you know it's gratitude? How many of you

will give to someone who shows you gratitude? You give someone?

Isn't it right? You give a chocolate to a child? Guy?

The guy, the child comes up. That was the best

But you see so much gratitude. The next time you

it is an act of worship. Guys, if we do

not know how to worship God, don't expect to get

with thanksgiving. It says, let your requests be made known.

Let your request what is your request? Well, your request

is what you're asking now, Lord, that I may do

well in my studies today. If you want to do

well in your studies, please study. Do not say I

got no time to study because I'm going to stomachs

to chat. Next day asleep, don't do work. And then

when the exam comes, Lord help me. You know what

the Lord will do. He will help you stay awake

for the exam. And as you go to you I

didn't study it, Oh, I didn't study it, but you're awake. Now.

He helped you. He helped you stay awake. Guys, you

want God to help you in your studies. Put it

in so he can help you take it out. I

used to lay hands on my books and pray, Father,

in the name of Jesus, I know you're the one

who created everything. Now when I go over this, help

me understand it. I was the first hit perfect in

my school ever to pass my exams. In fact, my

class teacher was so angry with me. This was a

year Singapore gce A levels. My class teachers said, do

you realize every head perfect in the school has failed

the exam. I say, I will be the first to pass.

And I did this, and I prayed God help me.

But God didn't only help me. What I would do

is I get my friends together and I will teach

them and I will share with them every Saturday. You

don't come and see me. Let's work it out together.

And they passed and I passed. Not only passed, we

did well. And I was the curver after me. All

the hit prefects after me started passing.

Guys.

I requested of the Lord, I made requirement clear to him.

I said, God, I cannot afford to fail because I

started late. Okay, So in Singapore, when you have a

certain time, if you fail out, you go. There's no retention.

By the way, in Singapore Standard one exam, you have

to pass. If you don't pass your retaining stand on

one Standard two you have to pass. If not, you're

retaining stand A two. I had one guy in standard

six who was actually from five ah because never pass

and after that year he don't pass out. He goes.

I couldn't afford, so I made my requirement. I made

my demand. Why is it okay to make demand of God? Yes,

God's okay with it, because a demand of God is

a demand of faith. I was telling the church today

in PJ. Someone got because I made demands of the

Lord in my early life. I'm going to this company,

I'm bring my audit. Rainy weather, rainy season, okay, pouring

with rain. But when I get to the office, the

client's office, I'm dry, completely dry. Hey, how come you

get drier? One of the stuff asked me, I say,

I believe in Jesus. When I pray, he answers say

I don't believe you. I say, watch me. Then it

be raining, pouring, pouring. Just at five o'clock. I will

go outside and say, in the name of Jesus, stop

and it stopped. This happened for days. Then the person

asked me, can you teach me about this? I say, yes,

Jesus loves you. When you pray in Jesus name, he'll

answer your prayer. I said, do you want to accept

Jesus Christ's Lord and severe? Yes. Another testimony. I just

became a Christian and I learned, and the only thing

I learned was that when you pray in Jesus name,

he'll answer you. So I'm going for this party, and

The moment the last person of my group stepped into

See me praying and bringing people to the Lord, or

become pastors? But anyway, you see do you see what

I'm telling you? Demand and it says, may make your

requests be made known to God. You know what is

what be made? Non you certified before the Lord? Lord?

I've prayed in the name of Jesus. It has to happen.

You know what certification is. When you get a certification

of marriage, what does it tell you you're married? Why

not certified? When you get a certification of being an accountant?

What are you? You are? You are an accountant? When

you get certification of law being a lawyer, you put

it on your your your your your wall. It tells

you what you're a lawyer. Why not certified? Chop seal, certified,

true copy of Jesus certified. That's what it means. It

means you declare, Hey, God, this is what it is.

I'm not changing, are you God? Say no, I'm not changing.

Say let's get it done. Then, hey, when you prayer,

this is what the Lord is expecting you to talk.

It's not irrelevant, irreverent. You know, it is recognizing God

for who he is. Yes, I agree, and it says

there it was seven. And the peace of God. Now,

we thought that this word peace is very simple, right,

you know what we thought this word piece is quiet?

How many of us like peace and quiet when we pray?

I just don't want to have trouble. Just sit down quietly,

don't listen to anything. Peace. This is know what God means.

This word peace in scripture is loaded. It's a loaded

word and we never understood it. And the peace of

God this word means and the exemption from the rage

and the havoc of war. You think war was a

nice thing. My mother was four years old when the

sirens would go in care and then the whole family

would have to run into the jungle even as the

bombs dropped on their heads. There is care by the way,

galum Raja Chulan which is now known as it was,

it's now jalum Raja Chulan. It was known as lorn

Hicks around a well area that I'm all in front,

that here was all jungle. So the moment the sirens going,

they run in. You think war is nicer. You think

it's nice for those people in Ukraine when the missiles

are flying over their head, you think it's nice. In Ghaza,

war is terrible. It's horrible. It's nasty. You cannot sleep

at night. You fear. You hear that siren, you get afraid,

and then the noise in it. What scripture is saying

is the exemption from this, from this turmoil that's going on,

You exempt it. It says this. It is peace between

individuals I E. I E. That is how many and concord.

What don't you like to be peaceful with one another?

I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect

how many? I'd like to hold it in my arms

and teach it. That's the song I hear. You know

that was a That was a Coca Cola add song

many years ago. And then this group New Seekers who

sang it, took it and made it the number one

hit in the world. Harmony when people are in harmony,

It's so blissful when you when your family is in harmony,

isn't it blissful? And a rather go for go for

for makan And everybody's fighting in one another terrible, isn't it?

But when they're all happy and joyful and laughing and

they all together, isn't it wonderful? That's what peace means.

It means that kind of thing that even in crowds,

it can be so pleasurable. Harmony and concorde peace between individuals.

It also means this. It means secure and this one

we will laugh. It means security, safety, and prosperity. Guys,

did you realize that the peace of God is actually

prosper prosperity as well? Did you ever realize that because

peace and harmony makes and keeps things safe and prosperous. Wow,

Making money alsoul peace. Yes, when you got a lot

of money in the pocket, you feel peaceful. Right, No

money in the pocket is a little bit of a problem,

isn't it. Bible says learned to be gracious to God

in season and out season. Your money in the pocket,

love the Lord, no money in the pocket. Also love

the Lord. But I want you to know that the

peace of God also means prosperity. You may not have

ten Mercedes Benzes in the garage, but if you got

one Proton Saga in the in the garage, that can

take you to point air point B, Praise the Lord.

You don't have to take a bus. You see. How

do you look at things? How do you look at things?

God wants us yes to prosper. I pray above all

things that you prosper even as your soul prospers. So

you want to prosper, prosper your soul. When you prosper

your soul, actual prosperity will also follow. And it says

it also means it's of the messiahs peace, the way

that leads to salvation, the peace of God, the saving

knowledge of Jesus Christ, the saving grace of the Lord

will also be upon you. Wow, you're my family. My

father is not to be saved. I don't know. You

always fight for always fight, fight, fight, fire, fight, It's okay.

Pray give it to God that peace will come upon you.

And guess what he will get saved. He will get

saved because God's word is truer than your father's anger.

Father's anger as all of unnecessary noise. But then when

I look to the Lord, it becomes peaceful. You know,

go ahead. You know you can be angry now you

cannot like it, but you know, sooner or later you

will get saved. This is prophecy. I'm gonna be faithful.

Scripture says, as long as I'm faithful, yeah, and my

household be safe. You are my household, so you have

no choice. You will be saved. I've told family members

that before. It also means this of Christianity, the tranquil

state of the soul. The peacefulness of the soul is

a shirt of its salvation through Jesus Christ, and so

fearing nothing from God, in content with every earthly lot

or whatever sort that is. It means that I'm satisfied

that I am saved. I know I'm saved. I know

I have my name written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

I you know, I tell Elder may Able this all

the time. No sad music when I go, I don't

one slow music. I don't want peaceful, thoughtful music. No,

when I go, full bed, drums, screaming, guitars, loud based.

You know why, it's a celebration. I made it home.

What nothing will be happy about her. That is a

joyful moment. Hey, we got it wrong, Okay, we always Hey,

I know you're said, I know you can be upset,

but do you know that in eternity it's like you're

closing your eyes and you're there, thirty forty years of

not seeing a person. You close your eyes, open your

eyes like you're there in eternity. So guys, you oh,

it also means the blessed state of devout men and

women after death. It means the Bible heroes, the heroes

of your faith who have gone to be with the Lord.

It means that will surpass, will surpass, which surpasses, which

means to hold oneself above, to excel, and to be superior.

This piece, the five different types of peace that I

told you about, they are far superior, and they excel

above anything this world has got to offer. Hey, dear,

the ultimate, they're right there the top. God's peace is

right there the top. It's not some cheap thing that

lasts only for five minutes. You know what a cheap

thing that lasts for five minutes is. You got a

real bad headache, You're gonna take a panada. The headache

goes away. Less than six hours later, it's back again,

and want cheap man. But when God gives you his

healing power, it's a done deal, over and above, finished ended. Okay, Well,

now I'll go on. Understanding is that now this piece,

this excellent piece, that surpasses, it surpasses what I understand.

You know, as understanding. Understanding is our mind, I intellect,

our thoughts, are feelings, and our will. This is the

whole complete us. Okay. The mind or the intellect is

like the Mercedes Benz. Okay, our thought is like I

want to to to. The thought is with this Mercedes Benz,

I can travel at six hundred miles per hour. Okay.

The feeling is sorry, sorry, yeah, yeah, the feeling is, uh,

I want to but I can only drive it three

miles per hour because that's the fastest speeder I can go.

And the will is turning the car and moving. So

now your mind and your intellect is your state of

your brain. M Okay, there's a lot of intellect in

know you can have a lot of intellect. You can

have a lot of brain but not use it. If

So your mind and your intellect is like that. It's

your hardware. Okay. Your thought Your thought is like the

Bible says that your perception, your purpose, that part of

you that wants to move forward. God's going to look

after that, is going to keep it intact. And then

he says, you know, how is he going to do that?

He's going to do it through Christ Jesus. I want

you to know Christ Jesus means this. It literally means

the Anointed. He is the Anointed, So the Anointed is

going to look after you, is going to take care

of you. It also means transliterated, it means Christ Jesus,

Christ Christ. His purpose was to come and do this

to you, do this for you, do this with you properly.

It means the Messiah, So this is his The purpose

he came was to be the Savior. He is the

Messiah and he's also the anointed one of the God

of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He is drawing attention to

case to the Lord. He will bring that peace. And

that peace is much more than just quiet. It literally

means power. He will bring his power into the situation.

That's gonna change, whatever happens, whatever is necessary, it's gonna change.

And then it's gonna guard you. It's gonna look after you,

it's gonna prepare you, it's gonna take care of you.
