  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. That there is power in perception and the image that

  4. we have in our minds, and so perception is very powerful. Okay.

  5. So let me begin by showing you give you a question.

  6. So what comes to your mind when you think about

  7. this word church? Okay, I'm talking about perception or I'm

  8. talking about image, right, what comes to your mind when

  9. you think of the word church? Okay? What do you think?

  10. I just hear some answers? Oh, people, okay, the church

  11. beading that the hall okay, very good? Okay, what else? Yes, okay,

  12. watch the people? What's she being? Very good? Okay, So

  13. those answers are actually it's gonna come up. So let's

  14. look at next light. Now to some of us, this

  15. is church, okay, and by the way, it's not always

  16. is Malaysia Okay, church in Malaysia. Okay. This was in Pyramid,

  17. not not extra but okay, yeah, Malaysia okay. So this

  18. happened in Malaysia or the church okay. So if your

  19. perception of church is like this, okay, this could be

  20. one of your perception of a church, right, massive place,

  21. a lot of people. You know, if you look at

  22. the lights and the lights are so bad, I can't

  23. even see the stage. Okay, anyway, that's not a point.

  24. But let's move on. Okay, to some of us, this

  25. could be a perception of church imagure you have in

  26. your mind. Now, I came from this background, okay, And

  27. I love my church back home. I grew up there

  28. for seventeen years since I was a baby. My name

  29. was named by the pastor back in my home church.

  30. And we used to sit in pills like this. We

  31. have hymnals, hymna books, so I sing, you sing all

  32. the hymna books. He sing the hymno books. We sing

  33. that he in the books. Okay, okay, and we just

  34. play organ. And that's the background that I grew up from. Okay.

  35. And so in your mind, this could be church to you. Now,

  36. what if I show you another picture. Could this be

  37. church where it's a small house and maybe you had

  38. ten people get in the house and you did a

  39. Bible study. And I know we just recently had this

  40. in a worship at homes whereby we met in houses.

  41. And I wanted to show all the pictures, but there

  42. were too many, you know, and this could be an

  43. image of church that you have in your mind as well.

  44. You know. And for those of you who are all

  45. spiritual or like a teacher, you would say, oh, you know,

  46. church is not a building, it's a but the people.

  47. And so next night we show it but the people.

  48. Maybe you say, okay, church about people, right, and this

  49. is what you have in your mind? Yeah, somehow we

  50. Jain's on the front of the photol always people promoting

  51. him so so so yes, if you think of people

  52. right as church right, and that's true, that's true. But

  53. the point is what is the perception of what the

  54. image that you have on your mind of church? Okay?

  55. Because if our if big, is only what they have

  56. in our mind of church, then we may be missing

  57. the point. Okay, because church is really able to people.

  58. And in acts you would have seen that we believe

  59. in the small. We believe in growing small to grow big.

  60. Now let us talk the next life. We'll ask another question.

  61. What comes to your mind you think of worship? Okay?

  62. And yes, some of the same music a big band

  63. and the next time will show you. You know, for

  64. some of us we have in our minds a band

  65. that looks like it is in worship, okay. And I'm

  66. not saying that they're wrong, okay, because every church is

  67. a calling, and certain churches are called to that kind

  68. of ministry and they're very good at it, and they

  69. draw a lot of people and a lot of lives

  70. gets safe. So praise God. But I'm talking about image,

  71. what's in your mind, because if you only have this

  72. in your mind, then maybe you'll be disappointed by the

  73. next picture. Because the next picture is our deaf community

  74. in big fields, and there's them singing the sound Praised

  75. a Lot, which you sang today, and the Praise a

  76. Lot has no no sound. It's all in the heart.

  77. It's all in the in the signs, okay. And of

  78. course they have just one drum beat and that's past

  79. the man trying to follow the signs. And I spoke

  80. to him. He told me, Bro, it's very difficult to

  81. worship there because number one, he don't know the signs, right,

  82. it's signed. I don't know the sign. But still the

  83. worship just like that, trying to follow, but all bad

  84. cut close. So if but so if if if the

  85. image of worship that you have in your mind is

  86. a big band with big lives and a big stage,

  87. a sound system, then maybe you'll be disappointed if you

  88. if you look at this. So it's it's about what

  89. is in your mind, and it's very powerful your power. Perception.

  90. Next photo, is that a photo? How about this? Did

  91. you know that the first mention of worshiping a Bible

  92. sectary was sacrificed. Ain't got any sound system, not even

  93. a guitar. You know, our guitars have six strings. They

  94. didn't have one string there, not in one string, right,

  95. all they had was obedience and sacrifice. So perception, what

  96. do you have in your mind when it comes to church,

  97. when it comes to worship. And let's go to the

  98. next question. He says, what is our image of a

  99. successful ministry? And it's no better way or a better

  100. person to look at than Jesus himself. So let's look

  101. at Mark chapter one, verse thirty two to thirty nine.

  102. I think I have the slide to help us, you know,

  103. see the versus. But it's good if you can turn

  104. to your scripture. Okay, you can also turn your scripture

  105. and I'll turn to mind. And if you really don't

  106. have your Bibles with you, you can refer to the screen. Okay.

  107. Mark comes after Matthew Okay, Matthew Mark, Luke John So.

  108. Mark is the second book, second book of the Gospels.

  109. Mark chapter one, verse thirty two says, at evening, when

  110. the sun has said, they brought him. They brought to

  111. him all who were sick, and those who were demons possessed,

  112. and the whole city was gathered together at the door.

  113. Then he healed many of these, He's Jesus. Okay. Then

  114. he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and

  115. cast out many demons. And he did not allow the

  116. demons to speak, because they knew him. They know, they

  117. know who Jesus is. Now in the morning, having reasoned

  118. a long while before daylight, they screw very early in

  119. the morning, Very early in the morning. He went out

  120. and departed to a solitary place, quiet place. Okay. There

  121. he prayed, and Simon and those who were with him

  122. searched for him. When they found him, they said him,

  123. everyone is looking for you. Wow, is there anyone here

  124. that everyone is looking for you? I pray for the

  125. good reasons. Okay, everyone is looking for you. And but

  126. he said to them, let us go into the next

  127. towns that I may preach there also because for this

  128. purpose I have come forth. And he was preaching in

  129. a synagogue s for all Galiley and casting out demons. Now,

  130. don't you think Jesus had a very successful ministry. He

  131. was a great preacher, He was a great healer, he

  132. was a great profet. They call him a prophet. Of

  133. course we know that he's a son of God, but

  134. they call him a prophet. He raised the day, cast

  135. out demons, you know, made the blind eye see the

  136. deaf ears here. He was so popular that the entire

  137. city was at his door. That's what the Bible says. Okay.

  138. But yet, despite of all this success in his ministry,

  139. Jesus was woken up early in the morning, the scripture says,

  140. woke up before daylight. And could it be that Jesus

  141. was bordered by that success that he saw? Okay, because

  142. usually when when you can't sleep, but it's because you're

  143. bordered by something. So yesterday I had to take on

  144. quite a number of sessions. So I set my alarm

  145. at six fifteen, So my alum was six fifteen in

  146. the morning. I woke up a six to telve, So

  147. I woke up in time to off my lumb before

  148. it rang. And it's because I was I was anxious.

  149. I was wait lot, a lot of sessions to take on.

  150. So I we did to spend time with a lot

  151. to pray. And so Jesus woke up very early in

  152. the morning, spent time with a father. And could it

  153. be because he was bored when he saw the success

  154. that he had in his ministry, because it's not just

  155. about the numbers. Really, what is the image of success?

  156. And so he continued to pray to the Father to

  157. align his purpose and his call and his direction with

  158. the Father. Because when the disciples found him and they said,

  159. everyone is looking for you, Jesus was not anxious, He

  160. was not disturbed. He was actually very focused. Right, he

  161. didn't even give an answer to them, you know, but

  162. what did he say? Let us go into the next

  163. town that I may preach there also because for this

  164. purpose I have come forth. Jesus had very clear direction

  165. and purpose. He knew exactly what he needed to do,

  166. and he was aligned with the Father. Even though his

  167. mew she was already very successful. Everyone is looking for him,

  168. but he knew exactly what he needed to do because

  169. he was aligned with the Father, and likewise, for you

  170. and I and you and us and all of us

  171. as ex chers, we need to be focused on what

  172. God has called us to do. And you may have

  173. heard her say before then he asks, we don't do

  174. things just because the church next door is doing it,

  175. or we wouldn't do something just because everyone else is

  176. doing it. You may have heard her say that we

  177. never turned our lives on, never turned our lives off worship.

  178. We don't. Okay, some of the pictures, says Solah, the

  179. lights were off. Now, I'm not saying that wrong. Okay,

  180. it's what God has caught him to do. Okay, you

  181. don't you don't hear us. You don't see us having

  182. pastors or features wearing sneakers on stage. Again, I'm not

  183. saying that wrong, but that's not what God has called

  184. us to do. You know, you don't see us having

  185. a massive venue with with a big stage and big lights. Actually,

  186. we really wanted to. I think if you were here,

  187. if you were in the in the service last Sunday,

  188. I think pasted Elder Ken spoke about it. We actually

  189. was supposed to get a huge building in Glenn, Mary

  190. a couple million, but we didn't we lost the building.

  191. We lost the building quote unquota because God had the

  192. better plans. When God gives it to you and takes

  193. it away, you actually don't lose it. God actually was

  194. fully in control, because I think that's a scripture that

  195. says he gives and takes away. Pless it be the

  196. name of the Lord's the song after that as well.

  197. So God gave it to us. We obeyed the voice

  198. of God, and he took it away and said, I

  199. have a better plan for you, so we cant you

  200. grow small? And so just because every other church has

  201. it doesn't mean we need to have it. Okay, what

  202. are we called to? What is our purpose? What does

  203. God called X to be? Because if we please God,

  204. it doesn't matter who we displease or that's a very

  205. strong statementa but I think you can catch the spirit

  206. behind it because if you please men and you sorry,

  207. if you please God, it doesn't matter who you please.

  208. Are you following me? So more importantly is are we

  209. pleasing God? Are we in accordance to God's will and

  210. purpose it has for us? As ex church? Amen? So

  211. I'm back to the same question. What is our image

  212. of success? Okay? By ex right? Now what is our

  213. image of success? Now when we look at Jesus and

  214. a Bible, and I'm going to point you to another

  215. passage where Jesus was involved. Okay, So he's found in

  216. Luke chapter seven. Luke chapter seven, and again I'm still

  217. on the same part which I'm talking about image of perception.

  218. What is the image that you have of success? Luke

  219. chapter seven. I'm gonna start reading from verse eighteen. He says,

  220. then the disciples of John, this is John the Baptist. Okay,

  221. John the Baptist. Then the disciples of John reported to

  222. him concerning all these things. And John, calling two of

  223. his disciples to him, send him to Jesus saying, are

  224. you the coming one? Or do we look for another? Well?

  225. What a question. So when the men can come to him,

  226. they say, John the Baptist, send us to you, saying,

  227. are you the coming one? Or do we look for another? Okay? Now,

  228. don't you think this question is very strange? Because who

  229. baptized Jesus, John himself, and John himself saw Jesus and

  230. knew that Jesus was the one who is to come. Right.

  231. So when I read this scripture, I began to ask myself,

  232. when I'm trying to go deeper, ask myself, why did

  233. John the Baptists ask the question like that? Not about

  234. not a Bible doesn't say, it doesn't say in detail.

  235. But when I read it, could it be that because

  236. John the Baptist was in prison and he was maybe

  237. so commented or so in suffering, right that maybe the

  238. suffering could have caused him to doubt or to wonder.

  239. He must be thinking, I baptized these Jesus, right, he's

  240. supposed to be the king, you know, but what am

  241. I doing in prison? What on earth am I doing

  242. in prison? How come my life is like that? And

  243. sometimes right, we can see Jesus right in front of us, Right,

  244. it's given us an answer. Right, But yet when we

  245. go to tough times, right, people asked God he said,

  246. he said, really you are? Are you really there? Did

  247. you really bring me here? And so I had to

  248. put myself in John the Baptist, who for a more

  249. know why did he ask a question like that? You know?

  250. Because he's in prison, right, And if you read on

  251. you know that John Bretis was behaded eventually, right, and

  252. so he asked the question, you know? And so could

  253. it be that he was really struggling in that moment,

  254. so he wanted to get clarity. Asked, Jesus, are you

  255. the one or should we wait for another? Okay, we're

  256. going to continue on, then, he says, and that very

  257. hour he cured many of informities. Jesus, Jesus killed many informities,

  258. fictions and evil spirits, and to many blind he gave sight.

  259. Jesus answered and said to them, the two disciples, go

  260. and tell John the things that you have seen and

  261. heard that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers

  262. are cleansed, the death here, the date are raised, the

  263. poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is

  264. he who is not offended of me. Now listen to this.

  265. What is our image of success? Jesus is now giving

  266. the answer. If you want to surf face answer, this

  267. is the answer. Look at the numbers. Surface answer image

  268. of success. Look at just look at the numbers. Many

  269. are healed, data raised, the lepers are healed. And don't

  270. be offended by the numbers, because there are plenty. She

  271. just had a very very successful ministry. Just go and

  272. tell John, look at the numbers. If you want to

  273. serve face answer. This is the answer for image of success.

  274. But let's let's read on. He says. Also, when the

  275. messages of John had departed, he began to speak to

  276. the multitudes concerning John. Considering John the Baptist, what did

  277. you go out into the wilderness to see? Again? Do

  278. you notice right that in this passage? Right we are

  279. there's a lot of worse talking about see. What do

  280. you see? What do you see? Go and see, you know,

  281. Go and tell John the thing that you have seen

  282. and heard. It's a lot of seeing is the image.

  283. So he's telling the disciples, So telling the people, what

  284. did you go out into the wilderness to see? A

  285. read shaken by the wind? That's the first one, read

  286. shaken by the wind? So what's John the Baptist like

  287. a read shaken by the wind? What do you think? No? Right?

  288. What's the read? Read? Is basically a lalang. Those plants

  289. that have very long leaves, and they are so long

  290. and so tall that they bend according to what the

  291. wind blows. If the wind blows this left, they will bend.

  292. Win wind blows left, then they'll band to the left.

  293. It blows the right, they're band to the right. They're

  294. like la lang. Okay, they just follow back and forth

  295. according to the wind. So are we like that? No,

  296. certainly not. It's John the Baptist was like that. No,

  297. certainly not. You didn't see a lalang. You didn't see

  298. a read second second one say, it's verse twenty five.

  299. But what did you go and see a man clothed

  300. in soft garments? Indeed, those who are gorgeously a parrot

  301. and live a parrot and live in luxury are in

  302. king's courts. So did you go out to see a

  303. man's clothing soft garments? Obviously not. John the Baptist was

  304. not clothing soft goverments. You don't wear seft goverments in

  305. the wilderness. You don't because the fur on a seft

  306. governments won't survive. Will make it right. They were tough clothing.

  307. They were hard clothing. And what does soft governments actually mean?

  308. In this context and now interpretation of this, soft governments

  309. basically means style and status. So was John the Baptist

  310. a man of just stalent status? My question do you

  311. asked us today? Are we just going to be a

  312. church of stalin status? Do we just follow the trend

  313. that everyone else is doing? Or are we going to

  314. be strong infirming who we are? Because verse twenty six

  315. days but what did you go out to see a profit? Yes,

  316. I say to you, and more than a prophet, this

  317. is he who. This is he of whom it is written, Behold,

  318. I send my messenger before your face, who will prepared

  319. your way before you. So John the Baptist was a prophet,

  320. but more than a perpect Why was he more than

  321. a perphet because John the Baptist himself was prophesized. He

  322. was the prof purpcy one in the book of Malachi.

  323. John the Baptist himself was prophesy h okay, he was

  324. prophesied to be the messenger that were prepared a way

  325. of the of the coming king or the Messiah. So

  326. John himself was more than a perfect because he was

  327. a propec si one. Not only was he the perfoc

  328. sise one, he also propocies of the one who is

  329. to come after him, which is Jesus. Jesus was the

  330. very product that was propose side by John. And that's

  331. power in that. And so I'm going to say to you,

  332. ex Church X was also perfect sight even before we

  333. were born. Because when Pastor Can of what's about the

  334. plan a church? He saw? The Lord asked the Lord, Lord,

  335. what should we name the church? The Lord told him,

  336. You'll call it X. And so we can find our

  337. DNA all over in the book of X. If you

  338. look at the book of X, you'll find our DNA there.

  339. So what is the image of success? Do we just

  340. bend according to what the wind blows? Do we just

  341. go with the style and trend that every church is doing.

  342. Or are we firming the identity of who we are,

  343. of who God has called us to be? I'm talking again,

  344. but the image of success, so access our DNA is

  345. given by God. All of us here need to be convinced,

  346. convicted and confident of who we are. Don't be like

  347. a read, don't be like a lalang where we just

  348. bend back and forth. We need to be sure of

  349. who we are and the best that we can be,

  350. the best version that we can be is to be

  351. ourselves who God has caused us to be. To understand

  352. our purpose. Amen, So next time will say enough of

  353. the of the doing, enough of just doing. We need

  354. to be focus on being. Because if you're only focused

  355. on doing things just to please your pastor or peace,

  356. your leaders of peace, a church, or even to please God.

  357. If you're only focus on doing something, then you wouldn't

  358. go to long haul. But we must focus on being

  359. who we are. That's why I emphasize a lot on

  360. our identity in Christ today, because for us we need

  361. to be sure of identity. We need to we need

  362. to first be before we can do. And so that

  363. a disciple. To be a disciple is the being part.

  364. To bear much fruit is the doing part. Did you

  365. get that? To be a disciple is the being part.

  366. To bear much fruit is the doing. So if you

  367. can first be a disciple, bearing much fruit will be automatic.

  368. The doing will be automatic. If we can get our

  369. being right, the doing of your automatic. Let me show

  370. you an example in a scripture. For those of you

  371. here who want to who ask me, show me a

  372. scripture Act nineteen thirteen or fifteen. This is the story

  373. of the Sons of Skiva. If you're familiar with this story,

  374. you know that the seven Sons of Skiva went around

  375. trying to cast their evil spirits. And this is what

  376. they said. We exercise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches. Wow, okay,

  377. we exercise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches. These

  378. were the sons of Skiv, a Jewish chief priest who

  379. did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus,

  380. I know, Paul, I know, but who are you? He's

  381. not focused on what they're doing. He's asking these seven

  382. sons of Skiva, I know them right, but who are you?

  383. Who are you that you have this authority? And so

  384. if you read on the story, you'll know they messed up. Okay,

  385. they got wounded, they left I think naked and wounded,

  386. you know, you know, overcome by the spirit, but evil spirits.

  387. So we need to be very clear that we need

  388. to focus on being you know, and every single time

  389. you serve in church, I always remember this. Make sure

  390. you have a clear identity of who you are in

  391. the lot when you're serving the lot, because if you're

  392. only focused on serving Him and doing a lot in church,

  393. eventually you'll burn out. But when you recognize who you

  394. are and who God has called you to be, you'll

  395. be able to go to the long haul. We cannot

  396. afford to lose focus on who we are. Where there

  397. is clarity, there will be confidence, there is confidence, there

  398. will be courage. So today I will try my best

  399. to give us clarity and of who we are as

  400. extras and who God has called us to be, so

  401. that when you have clarity, you will be confident, and

  402. when you are confident, you will have courage to do

  403. what God has called you to do. We cannot afford

  404. to lose focus, because if you look at the book

  405. of Genesis, the creation of mankind was such a beautiful picture.

  406. God had a great plan. He had a beautiful picture

  407. in the garden, a beautiful plan. But men can lose

  408. our focus, and the devil can steal our focus away.

  409. The devil is good at it. He's good at distracting us.

  410. He's good at showing us things that look good on

  411. the outside. Then we tend to follow. But we need

  412. to be very, very careful. The devil is a master

  413. and and the deceiver of It's his master of deceiving us,

  414. and he's very good, says the beginning of creation. He's

  415. a liar and the father of it. And so you

  416. and I need to continue to focus focus on Lord,

  417. focus on who God has called us to be. So

  418. what what has God called us to be? These are

  419. our twelth call values that we have in ecchers and

  420. if you've been to our partnership class, you may have

  421. seen this before. But I'm going to remind us because

  422. as I was preparing, he said, Lord, what do I

  423. need to remind our people by X? And I was

  424. led to these chealth call values actually chelth plus one.

  425. So this had the truth. I'm going to go to

  426. very quickly. Number one spirit field, and all of it

  427. is Biblica. By the way, you'll find a scripture there.

  428. Number one is spirit field. We want to be a

  429. church that is dependent and sensitive to the Holy Spirit

  430. instead of the ways of men. And so every single

  431. time may we lead in church, we ask Holy Spirit

  432. to help us, We ask Holy Spirit to feel us.

  433. And I pray that you being spirit field, not just

  434. in church, but in your own personal life. In whatever

  435. they do in your work, May you be sensitive to

  436. the Holy Spirit. Number two Christ centered. Remember that our

  437. focus is Jesus. In everything that we do, Jesus comes first.

  438. Everything that we do, God comes first. We begin with

  439. God and we end with God. Jesus must be the

  440. center of our church. And even though you may hear

  441. us say a lot about our DNA and ext church,

  442. I want you to always remember that everything else must

  443. point back to Jesus Christ. It must because we're not

  444. here to build a brand of our own. We're not

  445. here to build our name. The only name they were

  446. lived up is the name of Jesus. Remember that because

  447. everything the church is built on the foundation of Christ.

  448. So we need to be Christ centered. We need to

  449. mind on that. Number three kingdom minded, And it's simply

  450. is to put God first, sik first, the Kingdom of

  451. God and His righteous Us, and all these things shall

  452. be added unto you, the Bible tells us. So maybe

  453. do that in our church, not just in our church,

  454. but even in our personal life. I pray that whatever

  455. they we practice in church will bring it and it

  456. will be transfer transformative for you even in your personal life. Amen.

  457. So King the minded. Number four word faithful. So the

  458. word God has to be preached always, and you will

  459. find that we will do our very best to always

  460. point back the scripture, show you where the scripture talks

  461. about it, where it's found in scripture. And we're going

  462. to preach it even though sometimes it's tough, even though

  463. sometimes it's painful, while we will do it in truth,

  464. with grace, without compromising with the ways of the world.

  465. Remember we are in the world, but not of the world,

  466. and so we will preach the truth and mat the

  467. truth set you free. Number five disciplesh it focus. You

  468. heard us say this word so many times, so I

  469. don't want to talk much about it. We don't want

  470. to just make decisions. We want to make disciples because

  471. that is what God has called us to do. Our

  472. decip Our desire is that every single person extra is

  473. discipled into maturity and that you will eventually be effect

  474. ministers for the Lord. That is our desire. Really. Number

  475. six prayer power, and that's why we pray a lot

  476. in church. We have prayer services. We have a pre

  477. worship prayer before our worship service, we have intercess, we

  478. prayer before our peership prayer Wow. And the House of

  479. God has called the house of prayer. So maybe be

  480. a praying church because the church is built on the

  481. foundation of prayer. Prayer turns on the engine to the supernatural.

  482. So we want we want to be a praying church.

  483. Come on, we want to be a praying church. So

  484. I encourage you join us for our prayer meetings, join

  485. us for our prayer services, because that is where we

  486. really tap on, you know, on the power of heaven.

  487. We activate a supernatural Amen. Number seven faith Eviden. Without faith,

  488. it's impossible to peace God. We know that it's from

  489. a scripture, next life faith Eviden. And we ought to

  490. be a church that does not only talk by faith.

  491. We want to walk by faith in our daily living. Amen.

  492. Not just in church, but in your personal walk. Amen.

  493. Don't just talk by faith, but walk by faith. There's

  494. a difference. It's not easy, but God will help us.

  495. Number eight ownership promoting. We want to build a church

  496. right that is not just centered around the senior pastor

  497. or the leadership only, but every partner actively putting their

  498. hands to the plow. That's why in the extra you

  499. see that in all of our events and plannings we

  500. involve a lot of people. I'm so glad that even

  501. in this getaway, we've got to involve you know Luisa's testimony,

  502. you know of servation. I'm glad to see whether but

  503. especially was involved in the baptism service. Sharing you know,

  504. different ones of you who are involved. And if you

  505. see all of initiatives, I see a lot of new faces.

  506. And that's what we want to build a church. To

  507. be like ownership promoting. Everyone does his share and cause

  508. us growth to the body. Amen, So take ownership. This

  509. is your church, this is our church. Then we want

  510. to build for the Lord for his glory. Of course

  511. ultimately belongs to him, but we want to take ownership.

  512. We want to we want to be invested. You know,

  513. any business, we call it. Have skin in the game. Yeah,

  514. you know, have skin in the game. Or to wet

  515. your beak. You know how the bird's beak, to wet

  516. your beak. That's the very Okay, Sorry, I got, I got,

  517. I got distracted for a moment. Number nine. Unity guarded.

  518. We want to be a church that is there is

  519. unity guarded because the Bible tells us where there is unity,

  520. God commanded a blessing, and so you and I must

  521. God our church unity at all costs. Never allow a

  522. foothold for the enemy to come in, because when the

  523. unity is broken, right, the church will will be in

  524. the cumber. You see. The the worst attack that we

  525. could ever have on the church, it's actually not an

  526. external it's always on the internal. Church. Just breakdown, right.

  527. It's not because of an attack on the external. It's

  528. always an attack from insight. So friends, ladies and gentlemen,

  529. please help you and I and all of us to

  530. guard our unity. If you have a doubt, if you

  531. have a question, something that you cannot agree with, please

  532. talk to somebody. That's why discipleship is important, because we

  533. need to guard the unity of our church at all costs. Amen.

  534. Number ten, praise generating. We love to praise the Lord. Amen.

  535. Praise is powerful. It's an effective weapon to attack the enemy,

  536. and we as a church, you want to be generous

  537. in our praise. That's why we always encourage our church

  538. to clap, to praise, to shout, to jump. And sometimes

  539. people tell me that they are they're uncomfortable with that

  540. setting off praise of worship, and I will encourage them.

  541. You know, when we get to heaven, I don't think

  542. so heaven is quiet in the sense because there will

  543. be I don't know how many angels are there, If anyone,

  544. if any idea how many angels are there, I don't know,

  545. but there will be angels, many of them, and the

  546. congregation of every tribe, nation, and tongue they will be

  547. praising the Lord. Imagine nobody's standing in the hall of

  548. a thousand people, and everyone's singing right, I can't imagine

  549. what heaven would be like. So we're giving you a

  550. glimpse of heaven. And in fact, clapping your hands is bibical.

  551. Did you know that shouting to the lord's babical. Shout

  552. to the Lord, all your lens. It's found a scripture.

  553. So everything that we do we take it from scripture.

  554. And I know sometimes we can say I'm not used

  555. to it. I'm not an active person. I'm not an acturovert. Yeah,

  556. I don't say no such thing, or out he said

  557. the proper time he is coming out. Yeah. I used

  558. to be a quiet person as well, but I learned

  559. how to praise the Lord. How to dance, is how

  560. to move along because God has been good and gracious

  561. to us, and we learn how to praise the Lord. Amen,

  562. So don't be shy to German clap and to shout

  563. to the Lord. Because we want to be generous with

  564. our praise. Not just generous with our praise to the Lord,

  565. but generous with our praise to one another. Can we

  566. do that? Come on, that's how we're going to we

  567. can be a healthy church. Be generous in your praise

  568. to one another, and never you speak let it be

  569. seasoned with grace. Amen, and speak as our clves of God.

  570. The Bible tells us number eleven community evaluated. What this

  571. basically means is that it is the community that evaluates us,

  572. not with ourselves. And we don't want to be a

  573. church that is confined with the four walls. The question

  574. you and ask must ask ourselves is this when we

  575. leave a location where we be missed. For example, we're

  576. now in Univillage. Let's just say no, I mean not now,

  577. I mean our our churches in Unish, our churches in

  578. Nash right in one day, we were to upgrade to

  579. a bigger venue for some reason, or for some reason

  580. they close down the venue and we have to move.

  581. The question is will we be missed? That's the question

  582. we must ask ourselves. Because in our in our main

  583. church in Summing, USA, are shopping mall right in those

  584. sundays right that we have that we have combined service

  585. and we go to a different venue, right, those in

  586. those vendors in the in the mall actually tell us like,

  587. can you please tell us that we're not around because

  588. we actually prepare extra food, no to meet your cow

  589. and then you're here you're not around or in. It's

  590. also in the other flip side. Sometimes we have combined

  591. services and then we pack up the entire submit USA,

  592. our main venue, and then they cannot comminate their tellers. Right, hey,

  593. when you have so many people, please tell us so

  594. that we can prepare for you, because they cannot commindate

  595. a cow. And so one day were no longer there. Right,

  596. they will truly miss us. They did, They really did.

  597. There was a season when we were when we were

  598. moving and we had to be out for a while,

  599. and they really really missed us. So the question is

  600. will we be missed by the community one day when

  601. we move or if we move. That's a good question

  602. to ask ourselves. Number two of growth resulting a man.

  603. A growing church is a healthy church and now desires

  604. to see growth, not just in numbers. Listen, I don't

  605. focused on the numbers. I started off by saying to you.

  606. He doesn't said look at the numbers. Don't be offended

  607. by it. We don't want to be the alalang. Right,

  608. But he said, look at John, the Baptists more than

  609. a profit that missus. John was firm, He knew, he

  610. knew exactly what he had to do. He knew his identity.

  611. We as a church, you want to grow in our

  612. quality more than our quantity. Maybe grow in our spirit,

  613. grow in our walk in our faith. Amen. And the

  614. chielth plus one plus one is the plus fector and

  615. the prospector is generosity vended. We truly want to be

  616. a church that believes in giving God always and only

  617. our best in these three areas, time, talent, treasure. You've

  618. heard this before many times. We want to be generous.

  619. And in order for us to be generous in giving

  620. of our time, talent, and treasure, you first need to

  621. count yourself a partner. And that's why I told you

  622. that we need to focus on being asked a self

  623. dis question. Am I a partner? Do I want to

  624. be a partner? Because if I am a partner wants

  625. to get the being right everything else. After that, the

  626. doing becomes automatic, becomes easier. We become generous in our giving.

  627. And most of the time when we think of generous generosity,

  628. we always think of money. But how many of you

  629. know we can be generous without time, generous without time,

  630. generous with our allens. So come on, church, Maybe be

  631. a generosity branded church and So now I talked all

  632. about X and sometimes you have seen people write our

  633. name of our church x acts as all caps. Now,

  634. if you actually look at if you look at the

  635. word on the top right, you will see excess actually

  636. smelled acts small letters. Okay, But if there was ever

  637. an acronym to it, if it ever was an ecroonym

  638. to acts in all caps letters, it will be this

  639. Apostolic Center and training school. Why because Apostolic Center we

  640. have been very good at the doing. Actually, we're planted

  641. churches globally. You know, we are planted across so many

  642. continents in the world. We are postaling in the sense

  643. because we are opening the way, we are creating a path. Right,

  644. So we are an Apostolic center. We have both many

  645. more movements here. The revel movement of love was birth

  646. here in Malaysia. It's not some movement that was birth

  647. in the US. Come on, great things can come out

  648. Malaysia in Man. Do you believe it? So extra we

  649. have been an Apostolic center. You should know that because

  650. we have done many things right that people have never

  651. heard or seen before. I can make give it that example.

  652. We have something called pre courtship, pre courtship. Now, if

  653. you know what courtship is, it's like dating. But the

  654. difference between dating and courtship is that dating is two people, uh,

  655. you know, trying to see whether it can it can

  656. work out well or not. Courting is different. Courting is

  657. two people working towards marriage. It's different now. So because

  658. courtship is two people working towards marriage, they need to

  659. be counseling. That's why we have free courtship counseling. That

  660. was birth in Excers. And so for those of you

  661. young people here on the journey towards finding the love

  662. of a life, speak to one of our leadership who

  663. have done pre courtship. They will tell you more about

  664. it because we really believe in it. I did pre

  665. courtship and that has helped me to ensure that we

  666. make it into marriage. Amen. Not only are we a

  667. Postolic center, we are a training school. That's why you

  668. find that a lot of our teaching right now is

  669. moving towards training, because we want to be trained and

  670. equipped so that we can be effective ministers for the Lord. Amen.

  671. I'm going to give you three gentle reminders as we

  672. move forward. Number one, be very careful it is word

  673. called decentralized. There's no slight there, so don't worry. So

  674. you've heard us say this word many times. We are

  675. now very decentralized. But I want to suggest to you

  676. and say to you that extra we need to be

  677. more centralized than ever before in our vision. Did you

  678. get that? Yes, we are decentralized by location, but we

  679. need to be more centralized than ever before in our

  680. vision and our direction moving forward. We are still one.

  681. Remember this, and if you ever struggle with this term

  682. of decentralization, just remember this. We are one church in

  683. many locations. Now that sentence alone will have you to

  684. a better understanding. We are one church in many locations.

  685. So just in Cage, you're wondering, for example, how does

  686. XMNE manage our finances. I'm gonna let you know the

  687. truth right now. I don't manage a single scent of it,

  688. not a singer scent. That's what we mean by one

  689. church in many locations, because we have a HQ that

  690. manages our finances. Every single giving that you give does

  691. not go to the local spit of Sermone. It goes

  692. straight to our main bang account in church. That's why

  693. if you look at the T and slightly right. Where

  694. do you go to Cyberg pj unpuncture is the same.

  695. There's no different, same account, just a different reference in

  696. it because the track where the money came from it

  697. it is from research plan, but all of it goes

  698. back to act church in care. So we need to

  699. be more centralized than ever before. So yes, we may

  700. use the word decentralized, but we're not decentralized at all.

  701. We're actually decentralized by our activities and events, but we

  702. are centralized with one vision. Remember that number two. As

  703. to be a healthy church, I want to encourage us

  704. to have thick skin and soft heart. Have thick skin

  705. and soft heart. Basically, have hot skin, but have a

  706. soft heart. What does that mean? That means don't be

  707. too easily offended, don't get too easily offended by a

  708. brother or sister. Sometimes we don't really mean what we say.

  709. We only have the best. It stopped for you. But

  710. maybe the way we say that we have done better

  711. and we are still learning help us a lot. So

  712. as a church as we grow, remember this we skin

  713. but soft heart. Soft heart means always teachable, always ready

  714. to listen, be teachable and let our words. Always be

  715. seasoned with grease. Amen number three and find a reminder,

  716. be fruitful and multiply. When I say that we don't

  717. just want to be a we don't want to be

  718. a consumer church. We want to be a producer church.

  719. When I say food for a multiply, I'm not just

  720. talking about babies. I'm talking about disciples. Yes, we also

  721. want the kids. So as you go up and many

  722. of you so, yeah, I think you as to go up,

  723. and as you as you also, you know, go on

  724. in your stage of life and you progress, may you

  725. be food for a multiplying. You want to be a

  726. producer church. You want to produce a generation that a

  727. continue to praise the Lord, pass on legacy. If you

  728. want to produce men of God and the manuals that

  729. will help our generations to come. I was always reminded

  730. us the man comes before the manual. But they should

  731. know we've been working very very hard. We have very

  732. very good people in church. Now we're trying to manualize

  733. the men, put them into training so that when the

  734. generations to come after us, they will be able to

  735. see what some of you here have done. They will

  736. see your photos, your pictures. They will see your guys,

  737. the notes that you have written, and they will be

  738. able to do the same. Amen. I'm going to close

  739. to this right now. I'm gonna close to this story

  740. of Gideon. Just give me ten more minutes. I'm gonna close. Okay,

  741. story of Gideon is founding Judges chapter seven. If you

  742. look at this story in Judges chapter seven, when the

  743. Lord first appeared to Gidon, you can't come up here.

  744. When the Lord first appeared to Gideon, you should know

  745. what the Angel said to Gideon. He said, oh, you

  746. mighty men of valor. Again identity. He didn't tell Gideon,

  747. right you are, you can become a strong warrior, or

  748. you can fight well. No, no, no, he said, you

  749. mighty man of Vela. He was talking about his identity.

  750. So God, of course it came the Angel, Hyver said,

  751. the Angel of the Lord came to Gate, came to Gideon,

  752. said you are a mighty man of valor. And in

  753. this story in Judges seven, you know this. Gideon was

  754. raised up to save the isa Israel Lights from the disobedient,

  755. and they're sin right. So they were conquered by the

  756. enemies of the Median Knights and so Gideon was one

  757. of the judges, and the go go back to the back, back,

  758. go back, yeah, go back, yeah. Okay, right now, Gideon

  759. and all the people who were with him rose early

  760. in and Kemp decide the well of Herod. So the

  761. chem of the Midian Nights was on the north side

  762. of them, by the hill of More in the valley.

  763. And the Lord said to Gideon, the people who are

  764. with you are too many for me to give. The

  765. media nized these are the enemies, are into their hands.

  766. Let's easier claim for itself against me, saying my own

  767. hand has saved me. Now therefore proclaiming the saving of

  768. the people, saying, whoever is fearful and afraid, let him

  769. turn and depart once from Mount Gillier, and twenty two

  770. thousand per return, and ten thousand remain. So the Lord

  771. was going to save the Israelites from the enemies or

  772. the million knights, to this man called Gideon, and he

  773. had thirty two thousand people with him. The Lord said,

  774. it's too many, because if I deliver them in your hands,

  775. he will say it. He will say, our own power

  776. and our own mind. So Gidon said, if you're afraid,

  777. go back go back home first. And so twenty two

  778. thousand left. How many left? How many remaining? Ten thousand?

  779. Let's go next night. Lord said to Gideon, the people

  780. are what still too many? By the way, do you

  781. know how many people the million nights have in the army.

  782. I give you a hint, one hundred and thirty five thousand,

  783. And yet God says, with ten thousand per they are

  784. still too many. So God is about to see again.

  785. He says, bring them down to the water, and I

  786. will test them for you there. Then it will be

  787. that of whom I say to you this one shall

  788. go with you, the same shall go with you. And

  789. of whoever I say this one shall not go with you,

  790. the same shall not go. So he brought the people

  791. down to the water, and the Lord said to kidd

  792. and everyone who leaps from the water with his tongue

  793. as a dog laps, you shall set apart by himself. Likewise,

  794. everyone who gets down on his knees to drink. And

  795. the numbers of those who left, putting their hand to

  796. their mouth, was three hundred men. But all the rest

  797. of the people got down on their knees to drink. Now,

  798. let me pause there for a wh what is the

  799. difference between the two ways of drinking water, Because one

  800. he say, bend down with the knees and drink straight

  801. from the water, and the other way is to take

  802. from your hand and to leap from your hand, like

  803. how a dog drinks water. What is the difference because

  804. this lapping from the hand is actually a posture of

  805. how armies during water, because when they leat from their hand,

  806. their eyes are still attentive. When they drink down on

  807. their knees, they are vulnerable. So this talks about a

  808. warrior and a fighter's spirit. So God is about to

  809. see and to filter the army. I'm only going to

  810. give you three hundred three hundred men. Then the Lord say,

  811. by the three hundred men who left, I will save you,

  812. and delivered the midia Nize into your hand. Let all

  813. the other people go. Every man to his place. So

  814. the people took for visions and the jumpers in the hands,

  815. and they sent them away. All the recip is were

  816. every man to his tent and retain those three hundred men.

  817. It was a military test, and this was when he

  818. went to the battle with the million nized. This Gideon

  819. was wise than the Lord. The Lord didn't didn't command him,

  820. but he divided into three armies, three camps. He put

  821. a trumpet in every man's hand, with empty pictures and

  822. tortures inside the pictures. And he said to them, look

  823. at me and do likewise. Watch what does that sound

  824. to you? What does that sound like to you? Discipleship? Well,

  825. if you think a discipleship came and Jesus got your disciples,

  826. are actually a back way in the Old Testament. We

  827. actually can find discipleship here. Watch and learn. And he said,

  828. and when I come to the age of the camp,

  829. you shall do as I do. When I blow the trumpet,

  830. and I all who are with me, then you also

  831. blow the trumpets on every side on the whole camp,

  832. and say the sword of the Lord and of Gideon.

  833. Ladies and gentlemen. We can only move forward if we

  834. can continue to focus on discipleship. Do as I do,

  835. imitate me as an imitate Christ. We can see in

  836. this story the Gideon, with just three hundred army, three

  837. hundred men versus one hundred and thirty five thousand, God

  838. delivered them into his hands. If you want to do

  839. a maths, we need zero percent of Midianized army zero

  840. point two percent. God can do wonder All we need

  841. to do is to trust in the Lord. And when

  842. we are placed in the position of impossibility, then the

  843. God of the impossible, where we receive all the glory.

  844. Gideon could not trust anyone else except the God who

  845. gave him that instruction. Three hundred ver just one hundred

  846. and thirty five thousand, because if you continue to read on,

  847. you know that Gidan do you don't have to fight

  848. the better. All they needed to do was to blow

  849. the trumpet, and the Midianized army fought against themselves. In

  850. other words, God for the better, for Gideon and saved Israel. So,

  851. ex Church, I want to say to you right now,

  852. the time of Gideon is upon us. Will we be

  853. able to see three hundred men, mighty men of Vela,

  854. who will raise water to their mouth and lap and drink,

  855. Because that talks about being attentive, being weary of the times,

  856. the seasons. The time of Gideon is upon us, and

  857. even if we can do it, we'll do it three

  858. hundred men because that's all God needs. And I remember

  859. watching this scene of a movie. It's a very old movie.

  860. Some of you may notice I think it's called Sparta

  861. or something like that. A three hundred men, I think

  862. it's called And was in this movie that this man

  863. said that there was a woman that spoke, and this

  864. man told her, who is this woman who has a

  865. right to speak among men? And this woman said, only

  866. the women can give birth to wal men. Only the

  867. women can give birth to will men. And so will

  868. we be fighters for the Lord where we continue to

  869. build God's house, will we be saying, Lord, count me

  870. in in this three hundred because all we need is

  871. three hundred. And I want to build you a great

  872. house to bill you your church, all for your glory,

  873. not for our name, but all for your glory. Amen.

  874. So I want to say to us how many o

  875. us years will say, Lord, count me count me in?

  876. Because I want to say to us friends, our church

  877. is going to grow like never before. We will our

  878. next our five years of our team is dream d

  879. R E M D Scents for Disciple Ship urts, revival

  880. is evangelism is action and its missions. And so next

  881. year's revival. And I really believe the reviv is not

  882. just in the external, but revivor in our hearts, revivor

  883. in the vision as we move forward, and so I'm

  884. going to say to us again, the time of Gideon

  885. is upon us. I'm not declaring this on my own,

  886. but it was actually passed the Kenneth who declared it

  887. to the top leadership when he said this, because the

  888. time is coming, then we're going to explode. We're going

  889. to call it a grow like never before. But will

  890. you say to us or say to the Lord Lord,

  891. count me in. I want to be in the three hundred,

  892. the three hundred enough, because in your hands we can

  893. do the impossible.

  894. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
