And if Jesus were to speak to you, and the

Holy Spirit were to speak to you and say, Albert,

that says the Lord, you shall fill in the blanks.

I can assure you more often than not the England

were our hearts were to say, Okay, God, I'll do

my best. At the very least, I'll do my best.

But notice this. That's why I didn't put the word

not doing there because I didn't want to make it

so drastic. But sometimes it's more relatable and closer to home,

where we say things like perhaps not today, perhaps not now,

Perhaps tomorrow would be a better day, especially after I

have just shared your word to your people for two

services in a row. Maybe not to Dayla because God

is saying, Daniel, but my name is Daniel. Why don't

you reach out to this person that is in the

hospital that needs help? And then you go like, really

need me? I will do it. I'll do it, but

maybe tonight, maybe at six o'clock tonight, I will go.

But God is saying now twelve to thirty pm. The

moment you finish, go Sometimes when he disturbs your readom.

You know you want to get your two hours nap

and you want to make sure that you are. You know,

you often give reasons that makes it sound good. God,

I need a nap. You know why, because after a nap,

I'll be able to pray more effectively for this person.

And the Holy spirital whisper to you, who said I

ask you to pray, I didn't see to go. Notice

when Jesus called his disciples, and at that time not

yet his disciples, when he called Simon and Andrew, all

he said to them was too or low. There was

no further instructions apart from following him. Faith in Jesus

rarely feels convenient. It really feels comfortable. It rarely feels conducive.

There many of us in this place, or many of

us in our line of work. We often like to

find a space that is comfortable and conducive, especially when

it comes to your children. You want a good education

for your children. You know, to find a school that

is conducive, you need to find a school that has

the right you know, venue have the right services, have

the right education system for your child to prosper and

to succeed. Right, there's a desire for every parent. But

I will tell you this one thing that faith in

Jesus rarely feels convenient. Did you know one thing about fishing?

I found out something interesting about fishing lately is that

fishing often takes an average time of four to five

hours before yielding a result. Why because the fish is

so used to the bait, and when you keep using

the same bait, the fish is smarter than the bait,

and sometimes it takes a while before you actually catch

a fish. So can you imagine the fisherman over there.

That is their job, that is their occupation, that is

their method of survival, their method of earning a living.

Can you imagine the fishermen were fishing because that's what

they do, right, And they were about to catch a fish.

And this young at that time, chap at the age

of Jesus, thirty thirty years old, walk past and say, come,

would you drop what you're doing just to follow a man?

Not this that day? He did not say, you know,

in in scripture it says follow me and I will

make you fisies of men. At that time, you are

fishiers of fish. There was nothing in your thought in

your mind with it. Oh, maybe there's a great, greater

picture to this. No, he comes, he disrupts your schedule,

he disrupts your comfort, he disrupts your profession, and that's

who he is. Faith in Jesus often feels that way.

It really, It rarely places you in a place of

whole heart. Tell you what, this church is so comfortable.

This pastor always preaches about blessing and uh, you know,

just preaches about just do what you want, as you want,

as you please, just come whenever you want. If you

don't open the Bible today, you open the Bible today. No,

faith in Jesus really feels that way. Amen. Sometimes you

can feel peace when you're in the presence of God.

But peace doesn't always translate from comfort. Yeah, peace can

be in the midst of a storm. Jesus can sleep

in the midst of a storm, and that's peace. Can

I have the next light? Faith in Jesus really feels

convenient often and not. It disturbs our comfort, It disturbs

our routines, our preferences. But one thing that faith builds

is that it depens our obedience. That's one thing. So

today I have five points for you. Of God's edom,

And we're gonna study a little bit on the life

of Jesus and how all of us, as his disciples,

we are called to sink our life to the riedom

of God. Amen. Amen, Amen. Friends. Okay, so the first

one I have for you today this morning is God's

edom is often interruptive, not intriguing. I don't know what

you think about the Christian faith. I don't know what

you think about Christian entity. But if you look at

a believer and say, wow, so interesting, look at God

so interesting? Let me break it to you that faith

in Jesus Christ is not always interesting, but it is

more often than not interruptive. Luke Chapter nine, verses fifty

seven to sixty two. Let's read scripture. As they were

going along the road, someone said to him, I will

follow you wherever you go. And you just said to him,

foxes have holes and birds of the air heapness, but

the son of man has nowhere to lay his head

to another. He said follow me, But he said, Lord,

let me first go and bury my father. Now, when

we read that sentence that verse, we go like, what's

wrong about burying your father? More often than not, sometimes

we often get distracted by even the good things, things

that make sense, things like hold on a second, God,

if you're calling me to be a pastor, why not

I go and finish three years of Bible school first? Well,

Jesus is saying in this instance follow me. Well, if

Jesus you want me to follow you, and you want

to make me visies of men, they shouldn't I go

and get a degree on mass communication. Sometimes she often

put our own thoughts into what God has called us

to do. But God is just asking for one thing,

and one thing, only follow me, and what does that means?

Let us let us die of a little bit deeper.

And Jesus said to him, leave the day to bury

their own date. I have another message just for this

verse alone. But that's for another day, because sometimes you think, right,

how can the date bury their own day message for

a day? But as for you, go and proclaim the

kingdom of God? Yet another say it, I will follow you, Lord,

Is there anything wrong about that saying farewell to someone

in your home. But is it following what Jesus asked

of us? Let's see what Jesus had to say. Jesus

said to him, no one who puts his hand to

the plow and looks back is fit for the Kingdom

of God. Wow, what does that even mean? So if

I go and say goodbye to my mommy or my daddy,

my brother, my sister, I cannot enter the you know,

God not fit? You know what does not fit even mean?

When I say you are not fit to raise the

race of one hundred meters? What does that even mean? Means?

You're not able to go? You're not able to compete.

And Jesus, you're saying that if you put your hand

to the plow, but you're looking back all the time.

And I preached this two weeks ago, You're not fit

to enter the Kingdom of God. Wow. What a what

a warning? What a what an encouragement to all of us.

Believe us to continue to run this race with faith

and endurance and not look back. I'm gonna illustrate something

to you this morning, and uh, it comes from this

next picture. We're gonna gonna get help of XTV to

play the first audio for the day. Today, we'll have

a lot of illustration, a lot of audio. Sorry for

those that like peace and coiet, but you're about to

be disrupted. Okay, let's go. So uh yes, you're gonna

have to hear my voice, so focus to focus on

one and a half weeks ago, my wife went to work.

I don't think it's a secret, so I'll just reveal

where she went to EPO for work, right, and she

left her car at home. I was preparing this sermon

back then and I needed an illustration, so I you

need to go and check out my facts. So I

took out my V right and I started to drive

around the car park, round and round and round we

go without wearing my seat belt, just to find out

how long it takes before the seat belt goes off.

I calculated it's about four minutes and thirty seconds. Okay,

four minutes and thirty seconds before the seatbelt goes off.

I don't know how many will find this annoying seat

bed warning? Do you find this annoying? Can you tahn?

Can you go on just driving with this thing going

in the background? Well, let me break it to you.

I can. I can, especially after I get back from

a late late night pick aball game twelve am. I

go to the mama, I order my drink lima eyes right, takatap,

and then I get into the car and from the

Mama to my house. It's just four and a half minutes.

This thing will be going on the background, especially when

I use my my my wife's car and we go

by raised my car. Then we will go up and

up and up and up and up and up and

up and up and up and the round. And now

we go right in the cop back, floor by floor,

and this still will be going on, and I'm bey

stinaking to myself. Initially it got quite annoying. But do

you know, this to me is white noise now, especially

when I'm coming back from pickable. And sometimes I even

live my butt up to check to check. I actually check,

you know, leave my butt up to check where the

voice will stop or not because it worked for my back.

Then I actually live my my mind but up to

what is the purpose of a seat belt? What is

the purpose of a seat belt. You think, never mind

where my seat belt? Later and suddenly suddenly suddenly XTV

What is it? What do you do? Do you put

on the seat belt or you leave it up? You

see the police on the road and oh no, no, no, no,

it's a seat belt man, just for the police officer.

What do we do? We try to ignore it. Sometimes

we try to pretend we don't hear it. We try

to focus on our own reedom, even though because in

your hand it's a lemo eyes. You know, you're getting

so occupied with your phone and then you just don't

want to bring the thing downs. A hassle, such a

hassle to put your left hand over your right shoulder,

so much of a hassle, and you struggle to do

that because you're focusing on your RM. Suddenly it stocks

you think, Aha, wow, I finally beat the system. It

gave up on me. I can continue my own reaedom.

But after a while, friends and family, I just want

to remind us he will come back. The car seat

belt is designed to come back. What am I trying

to say this morning? He will keep coming back until

you do the one thing, the one thing that will

stop it from making noise? What is it? What is it?

Put your seat belt on. God's readom work the same way, friends,

God's readom work the same way. He interrupts you, not

to irritate you. Sometimes we feel the seat belt alarm

is so irritating, especially when I'm in my master right

a driver Master's X five and at the back meet

there's three seats, and sometimes there's this one person that

we fetch that always come in to our car, say

in the bag and start wearing her seat belt. Anyway,

go like, I yo, will you wear a seat belt?

Then the rests I wear a seat belt. They'll keep

ringing it down, dang down. We think it's so irritating

because it interrupts our peace and quiet. And sometimes God

works that way. He interrupts you not to irritate you.

But he interrupts you at times to protect you. He

interrupts you at times to redirect you from a possible

danger that perhaps is coming your way. Well you do

not see it yet. Perhaps he interrupts you to remind

you that, hey, Daniel, you're you're swerving a little bit

off Courtia. It's time to get back. You're studying to

take the white path that leads to destruction. Come back,

come back to the narrow path that leads to eternal life.

Come back, come back. And after a while, we we

we we ignore it until it goes away. He goes away,

but eventually it comes back. His voice will ring again,

just like a sea alarm. His interruptions are like warnings

that are wrapped in love. Amen. They He just wants

to have a relationship with you. He desires to have

a relationship each and every one of us. Following Jesus

may interrupt your bi alorities. Following Jesus may interrupt your timings.

It may even interrupt your plans. It will definitely interrupt

your first Let me because sometimes we will reason. We've God, God,

it only makes sense for me to say goodbye to

my wife. It only makes sense for me to at

least spend one day with my love once before. I'm

being sent on a mission trip to South Africa. But

God is saying today today, Today is today. Now I'm

just giving a very drastic illustration. Okay, but sometimes we

often ignore God's voice so much so to an extent

where we miss what he has in soot for us.

I don't know how many of us here in this

place know that when you obey and you'll see it

a little bit later. There are things in life that

maybe we have missed. It is only by the grace

of God that today we're still here. It's only by

God's grace that we are still here this morning. But

that is not to say that we have not missed

things that may have been a part of God's plan

for our life. But we missed it because we did

not heed his instructions. Amen, we do not hear here.

We did not hear his instructions, and we didn't obey

his instructions. That's why when when the people were asking Jesus,

you know I'll follow you. I'll follow you wherever you go.

I don't know whether you have heard this before. We've

just sung the song earlier, and Albert said it is

a difficult song. Was saying, yeah, it is because if

you're calling me, our answer. I made a joke this morning.

I say, yeah, when God calls us, we will answer.

We answer Nolah, And how many of us pick up

the phone and okay, Jesus, all right today, okay, sure here,

it comes to actually putting your hands to the plow,

it gets real. It gets real. Amen, God's freedom. A

little bit more about God's rereedom is that you know,

if your reedom cannot be interrupted by Jesus, it is

not his freedom, it is yours. So really ask yourself,

is it God's edom or is it my reedom? Second

point I have for you today is that God's edom

is purpose driven, not pleasure driven. I don't know how

many of you here in this venue, in this morning

become believers because you want to be filled with pleasure.

Now I tell you what following Jesus will have its rewards.

In fact, I have been following him for years now,

and I can tell you what I can really say

from the bottom of my heart that there are days

where the joy is just overflowing and abundant. There was

a day that I was, you know, at a prayer

meeting which we call prayer rarely we meet four times

a year, and I really experienced God's love. I don't

know how, I don't know how to explain it, but

I experienced the touch of the Holy Spirit in a

way that I have never experienced in my life before.

I can't. I can't even articulate out with words. You

can ask my wife. I am not the type to

shad a tear. It's very hard for me to share

a tear. The last time I shared a tear yesdays

kind of at x men emotion asked us, man, you

know it's okay to cry, told a man in the house,

that is okay to cry, because man, sometimes we find

it a little bit difficult to cry. And it's okay,

it's okay. Last time I shared a tear was when

my dad passed on. And the next time I shard

my tear was when I visited my dad's grave. My

Dad's sorry, my dad's a columbrum, the one that we

placed his resting, his his his ashes. But there was

the last time I cried, and I just tried trying

to go with Actually the last time I cried, but

I remembered. I cried when I was earlier this year

at the prayer rarely meeting, and it was because I

was so touched by the Holy Spirit. I couldn't just help,

but it was just all flowing and I was just

telling my wife, I don't know why I'm feeling this way.

But I tell you what, when God touches you, it

comes with a certain sense of joy. I can just

explain it was just tears, but I know that I

was feeling such a like so happy, you know, so happy,

and I do like, oh, I cannot. It was so

overwhelmed by his presence. But God's riadom is purpose driven,

not pleasure driven. Let's read some scripture. Mark Chapter one

was stay five to the eighth and rising very early

in the morning while he was still dunk, he departed

and went to a desolate place, and there he prayed.

Simon and those who were with him searched for him,

and they found him and said to him, everyone is

looking for you, Jesus. And he said to them, let

us go to the next town that I may preach

there also, for that is why I came out. Now.

I'm not sure how many of you know the context

of this passage of scripture, but Jesus just performed a miracle.

He was just healing and healing and healing and healing

and healing, and he became so popular that people were

queuing up bet out of his door, waiting to be healed,

waiting to be delivered. But many of us sometimes we

are so fixated, especially as believers, You're so fixated on

doing good. We're so fixated on doing what is right.

You know. If let's say someone is sick, you're so

fixated a lot. Okay, I need to visit this person

who is unwell, because that's what the Bible tells us

to do. Well, I mean illustrates something very clear to

all of us. I'm gonna get xt you to do

what you need to do now, and also the host

we need to do something for me as well. So

do it, do it?

Do it?

Why not? Just do it right now and we will

wait for them to do it. Okay, they're all rushing, Okay,

Now can you tell who I'm pointing at? Is it

very clear? Now? You can run, but you can't hide.

Is it very clear now who I'm pointing at? Did

you know that I was pointing at this person from

the very start? Kind of have the lights back on

before people start falling asleep. I'm also falling asleepery, good morning.

But the difference between a fleshlight Christian like what I

call it now, Yes, we are called to be sot

in light of this world, that's true. But a difference

between the flesh like Christian and the laser focused Christian.

That is the difference. Because there was nothing wrong with

what Jesus did, but sometimes you will may call him

as cruel. Can you imagine two siblings were having a

bad cough, bad to the point where blood is coming out.

Two siblings, one of them chose to believe and went

to this miracle healing that was taking place, and Jesus

healed him of his informities, and he stopped coughing blood.

He went back tell his other brother, say that Jesus

did this for me. You gotta go and try it

for yourself, because you are also coughing blood and the

all black blood coming out. He went by the next day,

the waiting and the door, waiting for Jesus to heal him.

But yet Jesus was nowhere to be found. In fact,

if he found out that Jesus then went on to

the next town already, some may call him as cruel.

And sometimes as Christians, we may fall into the trap

of doing too much good and not doing what is

God because we label good as God. But if you

read scripture, you know that no one else is good

except for God. And I've learned through the little experience

and time that I have as a believer that if

you do what God has caught you to do, all

things will work together for good for those who are

accorndar His purpose. Amen. There means Jesus, live it. Just

live it to God. Do what God has called you

to do. Be a laser like Christian rather than a

flesh like Christian, because a flesh like Christians would just

say yes to everything because you want to be a

people pleaser. You don't want to say no. But let's

see what Jesus did. He did what God the Father

told him to do. And when he has done, the

first thing he do was he retreated to a desolate

place early in the morning. He read the scripture. You know,

maybe it's about three two three am, long before the

sun has the right reason, he went to pray, seek

the Lord, see his Father. And when he has gotten

that voice, that peace, he then went on because he

knew that was his purpose. Can you imagine if Jesus

just continued healing the sick until the rest of his ministry,

would he have been able to go to the cross. No,

because his time here on this earth would have been limited.

He had a purpose and he was fixated on that purpose.

One purpose, one calling, one direction, one assignment, friends and family.

What is that assignment that you have been given in

this season? It may be that one thing, it may

be that one group of people. It may be, but

there must be friends and family. If you want to

be aligned to the Rhedom of God, especially in your season,

you need to know what is that one thing? Because

if not, you will be just so distracted by a

B C, D E F GfG. You will be so distracted,

and that's just running all over the place. And later

you'll say something to you as well. Jesus lived his

life like a laser, not a flash right. He knew

that from the moment he was worn, his destiny was

the Cross, and he worked all along the way, every

step to take was leading to the Cross. Friends and family.

I hope that that's the way that will continue to

live a Christian life. That's the way that will contee

you live. Let us go in the next towns, for

that is why I came. That is why I came.

Would we be able? Will we be able to tell

our parents? You know, you know, you know what you

work so hard ready whole year, the ministry, really whole

year you're praying for people. Go and get a holiday

for yourself. Skip three weeks, stick three months, break you

deserve it. That This is why I am here, This

is why God has called me. Would we be able

to have the laser like focus that Jesus had. It's

an encouragement for us because the riedom of God moves

us from comfort to calling, from staying to going, you know,

very very often it's all about moving. Jesus moved from

town to town. It leads you not to where the

crowd wants you to be, but where God wants you

to be. Your life's riadom is not set by who

wants your attention, but by what God has assigned. Amen,

this morning. God's redom is always obedience first and understanding later,

ks TV. Yeah, okay. On the picture, I have a

picture of a dog. How many of you dog lovers

here in this place? Yeah? I love dogs. I never

really had a dog. Yeah, Dorothy's dog is very cute,

and the way she walks so cute? Is it still

so cute? So cute? But did you know one thing

about dogs that we all can learn? Drop? They are

wonderful beings, wonderful creatures, and they are really obedient, especially

those that have been trained. Right. If I saw a

video that there was this dog, your dog is like that.

But there was this video of a dog that the

master told him to sit and put a plate of

food in front of that person, that that person, that dog,

and he says sit, stay, and the dog just stayed,

didn't move for for thirty minutes, even though he was hungry,

even though he was can here he is like the voice,

like really, really really, he wandered that that that plate

of food. But yet he said, but God's readom in

this in the same light. His rhdom is obedience first

and understanding later. What do I mean by that? Let's

read some scripture John chapter two, verses one to eleven.

Is not on the slide. It's not on the slide.

But you can turn to it. You can turn to it,

all right, turn your scriptures the jaunts of the two

verse one to eleven, whether it's on your phone or

your physical bible. Let's turn to it, all right, there,

say amen, there, all right. On the third day, there

was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. This was the

first miracle, one of the first miracles recorded, and the

Mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to

the wedding with his disciples. When the wine ran out,

the Mother of Jesus say to him, they have no wine,

So what is the problem. No wine. Yeah, no wine.

And Jesus said to her, woman, please don't go and

call your mother a woman from this day onwards. Yeah, woman,

what does this have to do with me? My hour

has not come, has not yet come. You know I

have a revelation about this, even this particular sentence, But

that's for another day. His mother said to the servants,

do whatever he tells you. Now there were six storm

jazz six stone water jazz there for the Jewish rights

of purification, each each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus

said to the servants, fill the jars with water, and

they filled them up to the brim. And he said

to them, now draw some out and take it to

the musk of the feast. So they took it. Verse nine,

when the master the feast tasted the water now become wine,

and did not know where it came from, though the

servants who had drawn the water new. The master of

the feast caught the bridegroom and said to him, everyone

serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely,

then the poor wine. But you you have kept the

good wine until now. That means the water that has

just turned into wine was one of the best, one

of the best that the Master has ever tasted. This

the first of his signs Jesus did at Cana in

Galilee and manifested his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

All the drawer attention to a specific verse that started

this miracle. It is important, one of the first that

Jesus has ever did here on this earth. And he

started with this verse five verse his mother said to

the servants, do whatever he tells you to do. Now

I have asked you a question. Did the servants act

after they understood what the instruction was. Did the servant

had a manual on how to turn water into the wine?

Did the servant even know what Jesus was about to do.

Now there was a problem. The problem was no whine.

The servants acted before they even understood what was happening.

They feel the jazz, not knowing why, they poured water,

not knowing how it would change. They obeyed first and

witnessed the miracle. Second. Now I'm going to do to

further illustrate this story. You there was six jazz, Yeah,

six stone jas. I don't know how many of you

have carried stone jars before in your life, but We

are not talking about those small little jazz okay, we're

talking about a jar that can fill up to twenty

to thirty gallons of water. How many liters a gallon counting? Yeah,

this is a lot, la, Okay, twenty to thirty gallus

of water. The instruction was to fill up the jars

with water. Now, there are many things in our life

that sounds that way. God comes to you, you pray,

God gives you an answer, but the answer doesn't reflect

how your physical mind would even comprehend to solve the issue.

If my child does not have a proper education, the

answer that our physical mind would comprehend is to find

a school to put my child in. Right. Can you

imagine God coming to us instead of looking for school,

God comes to us, say, why don't you look for

a hospital? What I need to put my child into

a proper education. You're asking me a look for hospital.

Sometimes God's answer may come in that fashion and in

that way. And in the case of these servants, notice

it was the servants. Yeah, not only you were you'll

get you will miss the wedding. Not only you will

be taken out of a good thing, a good event.

But now I have to work stone jars stoner, and

I can, and I can tell you there wasn't KOI

machine in a day. You can't just bring the stone

jars or the coy machine. Put it there and press

a button and then the water come. I want thirty

gallons of water, Okay, feel it for me. No, they

themselves had to carry either carry the stone jar to

the well or bring the well to the stoner by

buckets of water. Can you imagine how much work that

must be someone worse here in this room. You want

to experience a miracle, but maybe perhaps you are not

willing to do the work. Ouch I. When I read

his verse, I thought it's carrying a stone jalla. I

could be wrong, but I didn't say in scripture. All

they say is feel the soldiers with water. I could

imagine I had to carry that stoner thirty gallons. They

can fit thirty gallons of water all the way to

the well. And one thing your wells is there's no

lift in the well. Yeah, there's a pully mechanism. And

take that first step. And sometimes God's call upon your

life may feel that way. When you take the first step,

the second step becomes easier, the third step becomes easier.

By the time you're done with the third step, now

you are drawing a water from the well. And by

the stone jars are now filled with water. And before

you know it, you have six stone jars filled with water.

And before you know it, your face to face your

father in heaven. And when your Father in heaven is

asking you, do you have your jas? Your your jass

filled with oil? Your lamb? Is it filled with oil?

And you're saying, yes, Lord, here it is, here it is.

And then he welcomes you into the purlygates, he welcomes

you back home, and finally you hear the voice of God,

well done, my good and faithful servant. I pray this

over each and every one of us. It may seem

feel like you're drowning. God is just encouraging you to

just take a moment, take a moment to hear his voice,

Take a moment to just draw nearer to his bosom,

fathering him of Jesus. Lord, you see these hands and

a raised Lord. They desire to have a deeper relationship

with you. They desire to hear more of what you

have in store for each and every one of them.

And Lord, I pray for those, especially those who are struggling,

Lor God, especially those that are going through a tough patch,

a rough patch, a dry patch, a dry season. Lord,

I just ask, Lord God, that your wisdom, your wisdom, Lord,

right now, will fall upon them, and your peace that

surpass us all understanding, Lord God, will be upon them.

You will, God, their hearts, Your God, their mind's lot. God,

and Lord, even as they walk in you, taking that

step of faith, step by step, instruction by instruction, obedience

after obedience, Lord, I pray that the miracle that they

are so longing to experience, Lord God will come and

become their reality. And when it finally happens, Lord God,

I pray that all glory will be given to you,

because God, you are deserving of all our praise. You

are deserving of all our worship. Lor God, and Lord,

I pray that every person in this place with a need,

Lord God, will be met. In the name of Jesus,

So we declare life and life more abundantly over each

and every one of us, or each and every one
