  1. You're listening to a message to go from Acts Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. Why is it important that we should emphasize on missions. Well,

  4. we're not doing anything that Jesus did not do himself.

  5. We are not doing anything different than what the Lord

  6. meant for us. And you know, Jesus says this in

  7. Acts chapter one, verse eight. It's not there on the screen,

  8. but you know. But you shall receive power, whether the

  9. Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be

  10. witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria,

  11. and to the end of the earth. I like doing

  12. that because you see, when you know, can I read

  13. my book, I don't imagine Jesus as my voice becomes weak,

  14. becomes thin, no impact. But when I read the words

  15. of Jesus, I imagine he's got this, oh, this kind

  16. of voice that will just encourage you. And you know,

  17. it's a voice of strength and you can just fall

  18. into this voice and be comforted. So you know. But

  19. of course, no any what his actual voice is, because

  20. I have not heard his actual voice. When I hear

  21. his actual voice, you will no longer be seeing me,

  22. all right, So anyway, praise the Lord. Let's see what

  23. scripture has for us today. Reading from one Corinthians two

  24. was one and it says, and I, brethren, when I

  25. came to you, did not come with excellence or speech

  26. of wisdom, declaring to you the testimony of God, for

  27. I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus

  28. Christ and him crucified. Jesus came because he went. I mean,

  29. we always missed the simple words. Right do we take

  30. into consideration those little words Paul was saying, I came

  31. to you. Why could Paul say I came to you

  32. because he went on? Is as simple as that He

  33. got up out of bed and he went. You know

  34. the thing about this is we think that missions is

  35. something so great that we can't do it. Let me

  36. tell you this. If you get out of bed every morning,

  37. you're a missionary. The only time you and I are

  38. not involved in missions is when we're stuck in bed.

  39. And you know what I just read. When I just

  40. read Acts, What did Jesus say you shall be witnesses

  41. of me in juh Erusalem? Where's Jerusalem the place where

  42. people sleep? Where Islam the place where they were? And

  43. then he says and not just where you are, but

  44. then you will spread out. The next place would be Jerusalem, Jerusalem,

  45. Judaea in all Samaria. That's the place that nobody knows

  46. you wanted to go to. So you will be going

  47. to places where maybe you don't want to go to.

  48. And then it says to the whole world. I got

  49. to tell you this. If you can get up out

  50. of bed, you can be a missionary. And you think

  51. to yourself, oh, I can't do this, you know, have

  52. you seen a stone drop in a pond? What happens?

  53. Please forgive my phone. I got a new phone, and

  54. I quite haven't learned how to shut all these noises off.

  55. All right. I thought I've put it on silent, which

  56. I checked before I came up, and it's still making noise. Okay.

  57. So when you drop a stone in the water, what happens?

  58. There's a ripple? And where does the ripple start from

  59. where you drop and then it begins to spread out?

  60. Is do you have you ever seen anything specially where

  61. you drop the stone and then a little bit from

  62. the stone there's nothing, and then suddenly a ripple pops

  63. out in the middle, and then it starts. Does it

  64. work that way? No, it simply means that you and

  65. I can do it. You and I can do it.

  66. You know, I never wanted to share. I felt very

  67. small about sharing about missions because I felt my age,

  68. my goodness, I haven't gone anywhere. So last year, I,

  69. you know, told past Sendra okay, the time has come

  70. for me to go for missions. And since the first

  71. time I'm going for missions, I'm not going to go

  72. to some place in Militia, some small place nearby. Easy,

  73. I said, I'll go to lake Tuba. Then she said,

  74. thank you very much, but I don't think I want

  75. to send you at your age to Lake Toba, so

  76. I'll send you to Becassi. Little on I found lake Tuba.

  77. From where they are, they have to drive five hours

  78. on rough road. Most of the time the people going

  79. in that road are throwing up because the road is

  80. so rough, it's so muddy, it's so that's how difficult

  81. it was. Thank God, my back would have been crying,

  82. all right, But they sent me to Bakassi. When you

  83. go for missions, you will realize something God can and

  84. will use you, you see, because it's not about you.

  85. It's never been about you. What does Paul say? I

  86. determined to know nothing except Jesus Gosh. Going to Bakassi

  87. was quite an eye opener. You and I we live

  88. in a nice house, and we always complain our house

  89. is not nice enough. True not. Don't put up your heads.

  90. Let me tell you what are the kind of houses

  91. that I saw people live in in Bakassi. There's a

  92. guy who's pulling his family in a wooden cart. The

  93. wooden cart is less than two feet wide, so it's

  94. about so white, it's about two and a half feet deep,

  95. and it's about three feet long, and he pulls his

  96. wife and his child. That is his house. It's amazing

  97. people are living like that. We went to give food.

  98. We packed food and we went to give it to

  99. the poor. We packed once, we went in the night,

  100. once we went in the afternoon. We packed about one

  101. hundred packets of food. So we go out to distribute it.

  102. How long do you think it It took for us

  103. to distribute the food less than five minutes. Everything, God,

  104. and you see these people with such joy on their

  105. face to receive a meal. Guys, when you go for missions,

  106. you can help somebody in a way you never thought possible. Ah,

  107. what can I do? You can make yourself available. I mean,

  108. there's another place we went, Okay, and it was a

  109. big dirty drain where all the dirty water from the

  110. whole neighborhood goes into the drain, and these guys are

  111. fishing in it. You know what they're catching, You know,

  112. the bandaraya. You know it's bandaraya. Bandarai is a sucker fish,

  113. that awful sucker fish you put in your You put

  114. one fish in the pond to eat all the algae,

  115. and then when it grows to big, you take and

  116. throw it in the drain. Right, they're catching them, and

  117. then they cut it open and they squeeze out the

  118. eggs and they sell the eggs. When you see the

  119. water from which that fish came from, how on earth

  120. can you eat the eggs? But you see, these people

  121. are so poor. But do you know that they receive cheesus.

  122. I mean Pastor France. This is quite an amazing man.

  123. Everybody in the neighborhood knows him, All the poor people.

  124. You will say, I'm going to see you in Churchen Sunday, right, yeah,

  125. yea ye, don't you. But you see he doesn't stop

  126. asking what difference can you make? You know, one of

  127. the scariest things for me was to speak Bahassa kabila

  128. cyber chuck up dabas Malaysia somewhere on Karana Basa side

  129. a particary the buko Bukan's chara or chad okay. Do

  130. you understand what I said? So my friends used to

  131. laugh at me because the way I speak Malay is

  132. like textbook. So I stopped speaking. It's been years since

  133. I spoke, years, So I thought, when I go to Bakassi,

  134. I'll keep my mouth shut. I'm the new kid on

  135. the block, sixty three years old. But never mind, I'm

  136. the new kid on the block. The others all experience going.

  137. So I thought, no, I'll keep quiet. I won't say anything.

  138. I'll go and I'll follow their lead. Whatever they say,

  139. I learn from it. Let me tell you, when you

  140. go on missions, God will use you in ways is

  141. you never thought possible. So we went house visitation. We

  142. went from house to house, sharing with people, talking with people.

  143. So as they're telling the story in Basa, Indonesia, I'm

  144. trying to pick up here and they're here and there.

  145. I don't know whether I got the whole story or not,

  146. but I keep quiet that you know, I was with

  147. Elder Rose. Elder Rose is, you know, genius when it

  148. comes to speaking BASAs. But she's a genius nevertheless. But

  149. when it comes to basa, you know, she's the go

  150. to person. But you want to know something, The Lord

  151. put prophetic words and I apologize, okay, uh yeah, So anyway,

  152. prophetic words and I spoke it in basa and I'm

  153. I'm listening to these words come out of my mouth

  154. and I'm saying, where are you're getting this from? It's

  155. so fluent. It's just come now. God will use you

  156. because you made yourself available. There was one family they

  157. were about to lose their house. We went there to

  158. share with them. They were so poor that there was

  159. no more electricity. Okay, cut, electricity is cut in the house.

  160. And we go there and then they're telling us we

  161. were once very successful in the business man now because

  162. of the pandemic, we've lost everything. And now they're going

  163. to take away the house and we've got a few

  164. more days and then they're going to kick us out.

  165. And then the word of the Lord came and I

  166. shared with them, you know the word, and I said,

  167. you don't have to worry about this I'm saying all

  168. these things in basa. You know that I never knew

  169. I could say. So I'm just telling them, telling them,

  170. telling them. One week later, past the France sends us

  171. a message, by the way, just to let you know.

  172. For reasons that cannot be explained, the bank contacted them

  173. and pulled back on the eviction notice and gave them

  174. such an easy deal to restart their business and to

  175. turn their lives around. All this happened within a few days. Guys,

  176. if you don't go, you may not be allowing someone

  177. to hear something from the Lord that is going to

  178. change their lives or Then came Sunday. Sunday was quite

  179. a thing because Sunday I had to share the Word

  180. of God in church. I got to tell you I

  181. wrote my first time. Actually it's the second time. The

  182. first time I wrote my whole message out before I

  183. shared it was because it was a really tough message.

  184. It was so strong and so hard. I wanted to

  185. check with pastors, the pastor have I got this right?

  186. So I gave him my whole message. Then he went

  187. through the whole thing. He says, go for it. So

  188. I had the courage because that was the hardest message

  189. I ever shared. But this time I wrote the whole

  190. message out. I even timed it ready, timed it, okay,

  191. forty five minutes perfect right. Then I put it on

  192. chat gibbt and I translated in Basa because I was

  193. so afraid that I was going to, you know, not

  194. do it. So then came the time. The time came

  195. for me to share the word. So I got up

  196. to that pulpit and then God said, put the paper aside.

  197. Put the paper aside. You gotta understand, all right, I

  198. have not spoken by USA in years. I opened my mouth,

  199. I started sharing, started sharing. Then someway through the message,

  200. I looked at Elder Rose and he said, how am

  201. I for time? Am I? Okay? She said, ah, you

  202. got another five minutes or so. I should be all right.

  203. So I shared, I wrapped up the message. I came

  204. down whevery. You know, the people were just soaking the

  205. message in. So I asked, so I forty five minutes,

  206. no one in a half hours. The message was one

  207. and a half hours. I haven't even preached that long

  208. in English. But you see, God doesn't need my skill.

  209. He needs me to be present. He doesn't need you

  210. know how He just needs you to make yourself available. Hey,

  211. Paul came because he went so then I was praying

  212. to the Lord. Now was asking the Lord. You know,

  213. I was kind of shy to go for missions. He said, Terence,

  214. you've already been on missions. Say what you mean, say

  215. when you went to study in Singapore the two and

  216. a half years. What did you do there? Then? I said, oh, yes, Lord,

  217. I didn't consider for two and a half years. While

  218. I was in Singapore. I was just a new Christian.

  219. But you know what I was doing. I was sharing

  220. the word of Lord. You guys are so young. Don't

  221. be afraid to tell your friends about Jesus. They don't

  222. need to accept Christ. Then, then, because I found out

  223. that after twenty after twenty five thirty years, a lot

  224. of the friends that I shared too, they've become Christians.

  225. They build churches, they've become pastors. There are preachers going

  226. around the world, and I'm finding out for the first time.

  227. And when I link up with them, you know what

  228. they say, They remember all the things I used to

  229. share with them. You see, because while you think you're

  230. not able God things otherwise, I was only a student,

  231. right I go to school in the morning. I was

  232. living in the church hostel. So morning I'll go to school.

  233. I'll go to school around seven in the morning. You

  234. know what time I get back almost eight, because after

  235. I finished school, I'm coaching the tennis team. I'm you know,

  236. very involved in in in the school, I was the

  237. hate prefect, doing a lot of stuff. Get home around

  238. eight o'clock. God, have my shower, you know, after wash

  239. my clothes. Do you know all that? And you know

  240. what I do after that? Go to church. Go to

  241. church at ten o'clock in the night. You know why,

  242. because we are praying for people to be delivered from

  243. evil spirits with the pastor praying and praying and praying

  244. and seeing people being delivered. And the next morning, of

  245. course I have about two three hours sleep because I

  246. will go back around three to four in the morning,

  247. catch a quick map, actually go back to school and

  248. share with my friends all the things that I had

  249. seen God do. What is missionary? What is being a missionary?

  250. A mission a missionary sharing what you've seen God has done? Guys,

  251. it's easy, man. You share this testimony what God has

  252. done for Jerome. You mean to say, somebody else is

  253. not going to listen and be blessed by it. I mean,

  254. how many of you are blessed listening to that testimony today? Why?

  255. Because God is real. You can't find what everybody has

  256. been seeing all these years. And it's because of those testimonies.

  257. I told my friends many years later, they gave their

  258. life over to the Lord, and they remember, it's been

  259. forty five years. One of my girlfriends, Okay, now, don't

  260. get your mind. She's a girl and she's my friend.

  261. That's it, no more nor less. Just that she tells

  262. me she has never forgotten what I've shared with her,

  263. and it has helped her and her friends. What did

  264. I share? The enemy cannot touch you unless Jesus says so,

  265. And if Jesus says so, it means you can take it,

  266. and he's going to take you over. I was getting

  267. all this from the Book of Joe, all right. And

  268. then she used to tell her friends who were going

  269. through trouble this very same thing, and she says it

  270. helps so many people. Guys, you will make a difference.

  271. I hope you understand that when you go out, God's

  272. going to use you. And we are so busy saying, ah,

  273. it's not for me Oh, I'm not that good? Hey,

  274. whoever said you were good? The other day I was

  275. walking and praying. Every time I come in, I share

  276. the word that trusts me. I walk for two hours

  277. from four to six, praying and asking the Lord to

  278. bless you. And one day, while I was walking, this

  279. was last week, last week, a week before last, the

  280. Lord asked me this question, what's so great about your face?

  281. What do you mean by that? Said? Look, you're not

  282. that special? What's so great about you? Hasn't it always

  283. been about me? This is what the Lord is telling me.

  284. So you've seen so many things accomplished because of God,

  285. you can't take credit. So when you can't take credit,

  286. he becomes very easy. It becomes very easy to do

  287. what God tells you to do. Cool. Why you get

  288. so upset when the person doesn't accept the Lord because

  289. you share with them. I met a man the other day.

  290. He came because he wanted to said his child to school.

  291. And then after that he said, you know, I'm very

  292. very it's very important to me that Christ be in

  293. this child. So you've known the Lord for a long time,

  294. he says, Well, I studied in a marriae and there were

  295. such great people, and they shared with me Christ every day.

  296. I used to follow them to church and all that.

  297. And I said, you accepted the Christ, accepted Christ. Then

  298. he said, no, I refuse to accept Christ. Then how

  299. does this change take place? He is one day, this

  300. is he already left America for so many years, he's working.

  301. Now one day he's walking to catch his train in Korea,

  302. and the Lord just speaks into his ear. So and

  303. so you're not a Christian? Accept me now. So in

  304. the midst of walking to his train, he just says, okay, Lord, Lord,

  305. please forgive me. I receive you as Lord and Savior.

  306. And he became a Christian that day. So I just

  307. told him, praise the Lord. You've encouraged me. You know why,

  308. because I thought I was the only one. That's how

  309. I became to how I came to the Lord. Four years,

  310. I just studied scripture because I wanted to prove my

  311. sister wrong. And one day I went to church and

  312. the Lord spoke to me and said, Terrence, you're not

  313. a Christian except me now, as simple as that, Guys,

  314. Paul came because he went so we have to go

  315. because if we don't go, when God tells us to go.

  316. You know what happens? We become stagnant. Worst case scenario,

  317. we go back to where we came from. Look at Peter.

  318. What happened when Peter saw that Jesus was brutalized, he

  319. rejected or he denied the Lord. Correct, you remember that?

  320. And then what happened after that? He went back to fishing. Guys,

  321. when we are not doing what God tells us to do,

  322. the danger is we go back to where we came from.

  323. He became He went from being a fisher of men

  324. to a fisherman? Is that where you and I want

  325. to be? Do you think we find the blessings in

  326. our jobs? Do you think we find ourself worth in

  327. our professions? Let me tell you what the Lord means.

  328. This one is for you, Okay, this is for all

  329. of you, because this is what the Lord ministered to

  330. me this morning. So as I was going over the

  331. messages of walking my kilometers, you know, early in the morning,

  332. and I said, okay, Lord, what what a share we

  333. dam And I said, take note of what happened at

  334. that seat. So now Peter was fishing after rejecting the Lord.

  335. And then what did the Lord say? Throw your ned

  336. on his side, and they caught a lot of fish.

  337. And then Peter says the Lord, and he jumped into

  338. the water, and he went towards Jesus. And what happened

  339. When he came to Jesus? There was fish on the fire.

  340. Do you think they had stalls that to buy fish from? Hey?

  341. If there were stalls to buy fish from and the

  342. fish hadn't come yet, okay, because the fishmen were still

  343. out there fishing whole night, they didn't catch anything. But

  344. when Peter came there was already fish on the fire.

  345. So you are worried where your money is coming from,

  346. it's on the fire. Are you worried about your job,

  347. it's on the fire. Are you worried about whether you've

  348. got a partner or whether you'll get a husband or

  349. a wife? Guess what it's on the fire. Are you

  350. worried about whether or not your room is going to be? Okay?

  351. Guess what he's on the fire? Please? Is that when

  352. I said you're on the fire, what I mean is

  353. breakfast with a lot. It's taken care of. What can

  354. you think of when you go back? Always remember this

  355. that God's got it on the fire. Our thing is

  356. when we're not moving forward. Being stagnant is the same

  357. as moving back. So Paul came because he went. We

  358. have to go so that we won't remain stagnant. Because

  359. Jesus commands us to go. Did Jesus tell us to stay?

  360. You just go into the world, not stay in the world.

  361. We cannot stay in the world because one day the

  362. candle burns on both ends. For me, at least, you

  363. know what that means. Jesus is coming soon, I'll go

  364. and be with the lot. Or he delays coming and

  365. I expire, and I still go and be with the lots.

  366. The candle is burning on both ends. But I tell

  367. my children, highly likely Jesus will come, maybe not in

  368. my lifetime, but certainly in yours. Why do I say that? Okay,

  369. that's not my message. But let me just share something

  370. with you. The Book of Ezekiel says that the dead

  371. sea life will come back to the dead sea, and

  372. springs will flow from God's feet and come into the

  373. We'll come into that dead sea. Do you know how

  374. many of you know that nothing lives in the dead sea.

  375. You know where the dead sea is? The dead sea

  376. is somewhere in the promised land Israel. Okay, Now that

  377. Dead Sea is so salty that if you were diving

  378. you cannot sink. So those of you that are not swimmers,

  379. that's the place to go. You lie there, you can

  380. lie do you just won't sink, you'll float. Guess what

  381. happened just recently, not too long ago, some scientists or

  382. some divers, or some photographers found that there were pockets

  383. of fresh water in the Dead Sea and for the

  384. first time fish were there. Is this even possible? And

  385. then do you know that there are little streams of

  386. fresh water nobody knows where it's coming from, that are

  387. beginning to flow into the Red Sea. And Azekial says

  388. that this floor water starts like ankle deep, and then

  389. it goes to knee deep, waist deep, and then it'll

  390. cover Where is this coming from? So the people who

  391. are saying this say, could this be an indication of

  392. the soon coming of Jesus Christ? Preparation? How many will heard?

  393. In Book of Revelations says that Jesus will enter the

  394. Holy City from the east gate from the Mount of Olives.

  395. I think, well, you know it's in the Book of Revelations.

  396. But if you were to go to the Holy land. Now,

  397. the east gate has been shut very very early on.

  398. The Ottomans were afraid of this prophecy. So what they

  399. did was they sealed the east gate. They sealed it shut,

  400. and then they made graves in front all on the land,

  401. because they say no holy man would walk over graves.

  402. So they thought that by doing this they had overcome

  403. the prophecy. One thing they did not pay attention to

  404. that Jesus defeated death and he rose again. So do

  405. grace mean anything? No, they don't. Let me tell you

  406. what's happening in the world today. Scientists have found that,

  407. for some inexplicable reason, the east Gate is beginning to open.

  408. They do measurements and they find they cannot explain, but

  409. the gate is beginning to open. Could this be an

  410. indication of the coming of the Lord? Look at the

  411. world today? Scripture says that people be crying peace, peace, peace, peace, peace,

  412. And we think, ah, okay, that means the world is

  413. at peace. No, the Bible says people will be crying peace, peace, peace, peace.

  414. It could be because the world is intermal that they

  415. want peace, or could be the world is peaceful. Look

  416. at it Duailer. If the world was peaceful, would they

  417. be crying for peace? No, the only time you cry

  418. for peace is when there's no peace. Right a on.

  419. Did you see what happened in Anchorage the other day?

  420. Why was the backdrop peace? And that's what the world

  421. is crying now. Peace? Peace. Peace. You got to know

  422. and believe that Jesus Christ is coming again soon. So

  423. when he says to go into the world, what do

  424. you tell them? Scripture says, just preach Jesus, Just speak

  425. about him, tell others about what's going on in your life.

  426. You know, Paul said, I didn't come with excellent speech.

  427. I didn't come with You know, if I were to

  428. talk to you so eloquently, you might believe because of

  429. my words. But let me tell you, if somebody else

  430. comes and he speaks better than me, you'll run after

  431. those words. So Paul was right when he says, I

  432. don't need to come to you in excellent speech. Could

  433. Paul have done it? You better believe it. How do

  434. we know that he wrote twenty six books in the Bible. Also,

  435. he was a scholar. He could have come with excellent speech,

  436. but he was determined not too because excellent speech has

  437. no place in convicting hearts. It was not a motive

  438. to impress. It was not to show superior superiority, is it?

  439. It didn't even come in wisdom. You know what's the

  440. meaning of the word wisdom? The philosophy. Do you think

  441. Paul was preaching a philosophy. I can tell you there's

  442. so many philosophers. You can't even remember a single thing

  443. that he said. Aristotle was one of the great philosophers

  444. of the time. Can any of you remember one single

  445. statement he made. Let's not go there, let's talk Confucius.

  446. He's quite confusing sometimes when you listen to him. Can

  447. you remember anything that he said? No? But can you

  448. remember what Jesus said? Yes, I am the Way, the Truth,

  449. and the life. No one comes to the Father but

  450. through me. Many people around the world can remember that

  451. Paul was saying. It's not philosophy, it's not intelligencer because

  452. for how intelligent you are, there's someone more intelligent. So

  453. there are many intelligent people in the world who say, oh,

  454. you can't believe in Jesus because it's all fantasy, it's

  455. all in your mind. There's one guy who you all

  456. know him. I'm not going to mention his name, who

  457. always says, if you can show me one verse in

  458. the Bible where Jesus is the son of God, I

  459. will believe him. To that guy, I would say this,

  460. Do you think I care you believe him or you

  461. don't believe him. That's your business. If you recognize that

  462. there's such a person as and you have rejected him

  463. for whatever reason. Let me tell you what my Bible says.

  464. Every nicheall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ

  465. is Lord. So whether you believe or not, I'm not interested.

  466. You see, we get caught up in fighting the wrong things.

  467. Don't get fired, don't get caught up in useless arguments.

  468. The scripture says, don't get caught up in debates. Hey,

  469. you got no time for that. You think when I

  470. was telling my friends I was debating with them. No,

  471. I just told him what God had done. I just

  472. shared with them the things that I had seen, and

  473. I left it. You know why, because it's not my

  474. job to convict them. The Bible says that belongs to

  475. the Holy Spirit. It's the Holy Spirit that convicts their hearts,

  476. not me. I don't have to convince Hey, I'm telling

  477. you you believe, you believe, you don't believe. That's your business.

  478. You think I fall to pieces. I'm not interested. We

  479. got at the end of the day, we'll both seila.

  480. Who's telling the truth? Evidence testimony of God, That's what

  481. it is. You have got such great testimonies. How many

  482. of you have come to the Lord. You've got such

  483. a great story to tell, and you don't tell the story.

  484. How sad is that scripture is not telling us when

  485. we go and go on missions to talk about things

  486. that don't exist. There was one guy I went to

  487. his house. Let me tell you their houses. This is

  488. the house, the whole house. Okay, there's the whole house,

  489. includes bedroom, dining room, toilet, kitchen. Let me see how

  490. I can explain it. Okay, uh, maybe this green patch

  491. from this wall to this door, or maybe a little

  492. bit narrower maybe Okay, this would be the hall and

  493. this would be the rest of the house. You know

  494. what's the biggest problem I had when I was there.

  495. Cannot kneel, cannot squad. When I squat, I have to

  496. stretch my leg. Then after two minutes of stretching my leg,

  497. people can trip over. I got to pull my leg

  498. back and then getting up. I have to struggle to

  499. get My biggest problem was getting up and sitting down

  500. because you have to do it on the floor. Got

  501. no bed in the night. They just pulled the mattress

  502. down and they sleep. So that was. We went to

  503. one guy's house. This guy had a business where he

  504. was fixing motorbikes. You can see a watermark, watermark as

  505. high as this. So I asked him, you mean to

  506. see a house floods. You say, yes, you go and

  507. look out the window. So I look out the window.

  508. There's a big drain, a ditch, huge that comes directly

  509. to his house. And then it turns and the dirt

  510. and rubbish and all that in the drain. He says,

  511. whenever it rains, the water comes down and comes straight

  512. into his house. He wants to buy that house. You

  513. know how much? They want to sell it to him

  514. for one hundred and fifty thousand ring it. I don't

  515. kid you for an area that's small, one hundred and

  516. fifty thousand ring it. So in Bahasa, you know what

  517. I prayed? I said, Lord, So he said, don't the

  518. authorities want to do anything?

  519. Yeah?

  520. Yeah, they promise they'll be wanting to do anything for years.

  521. You know why they don't do it because the money

  522. goes into somebody's pocket. So you gotta forgive me. I

  523. am a very very real person. So I prayed. I say, Lord,

  524. send these dirty flood water directly into the house of

  525. those politicians and spare this guy. Do I believe it

  526. will happen. Yes, God can do it, and then you'll

  527. find it. He'll do something about the dream. If you

  528. think God is not able to do that, let me

  529. just tell you. I just want a battle. I took

  530. some people to task under the guidance of the Holy Space.

  531. It's huge. I got to tell you, the only one

  532. in the world serious and I won. I can't tell

  533. you what it is, but that's the kind of God reserve.

  534. You can be the only person in the world that

  535. he can show his power to all those billion dollar companies.

  536. So will he send it flood water? I will only

  537. know the next time I go, and I will meet

  538. this person again. Guys, when you go, you go in

  539. the power the Lord is it you? That's why God

  540. asked this question. What's so great about your face? Nothing

  541. to do with me. It just has to do with him. Ye,

  542. you know, I don't think I'm gonna finish this message,

  543. but I'm gonna get as far as I supposed to go.

  544. So evidence of a divine God. Do you know that

  545. Paul was determined to share nothing except Jesus and he

  546. says this and him crucified. Do you know what that means?

  547. Why on earth would Paul be so determined to share,

  548. to know nothing else except Jesus. At the moment of

  549. his failure, seeming failure, at the moment where he was brutalized,

  550. he was beaten towards an incheon, He's never he's hung

  551. hanging on a cross. Hey, guys, do you think that

  552. cross was made of nice, fine wooden? The capital made it?

  553. He send it good sandpaper, you know, smooth. Hey, it

  554. was a splintered cross on a raw back. We can't

  555. even take one splinter in our finger. He had those

  556. splinters eating into his raw flesh. At that worst moment,

  557. Paul is saying, that's who I want to share. You

  558. will never be able to capture the heart of people

  559. unless you give them hope that no matter how bad

  560. the situation is, it can turn around in Jesus. Because

  561. that's what actually Paul is saying, my God went through

  562. the worst moments for you and for me. He took

  563. it all upon himself so you don't have to face it.

  564. But let me tell you. Did he stay that way? No,

  565. he overcame. I tell you a few stories. How many

  566. we remember? There was one Malaysian runner who made it

  567. to the Olympics in nineteen sixty eight hurdles can you remember?

  568. You can't remember? Well, there was one Malaysian that made

  569. it in nineteen sixty eight. He was my friend, okay,

  570. I knew him personally and this was his story. When

  571. he was younger preparing for the Olympics, somebody came in

  572. a car and smashed into his legs. He spent several

  573. months in hospital and the doctors say, let alone walk,

  574. he will never run again. They were not even believing

  575. that he would walk again because so bad was the

  576. injury to his legs. But he had a determination that

  577. would not stop. So when he eventually got out a hospital,

  578. his father helped him his His father was one of

  579. the top people in sports in the country and this

  580. is how he started his running career again. Over hurdle

  581. six inches from the ground one foot by one foot

  582. and slowly it came from six inches to one foot

  583. one and a half foot two feet until he came

  584. to the normal hurdle height. And he practiced. And you know,

  585. when you run hurdles, it's one two three leg out,

  586. one to three leg out. It's a system. He practiced

  587. it like he was a baby. And you know what.

  588. He is the only Malaysian to have made it to

  589. the finals of the one hundred and ten meter hurdles

  590. at the Olympics. The only one. Now, if I were

  591. to tell you a story, oh there was a Malaysian

  592. who made it to the finals of the one hundred

  593. and ten meter hurdles in nineteen sixty eight, you will

  594. tell me so what, right, didn't make any difference. But

  595. now that you know the whole story, you feel about it.

  596. It's amazing. I tell you another one. All these people

  597. you don't know unfortunately, because I'm old, right, I only

  598. know the old guys and you guys, all I don't know. Okay,

  599. how many of you. I can guarantee none of you

  600. have heard of this guy. His name is Thomas Muster. Okay,

  601. you know he didn't make mustard. He was a tennis player. Okay,

  602. how many of you know what tennis is, Okay, do

  603. you know what the French Open is? Big tournament? Right?

  604. This guy was taking his tennis records out of his

  605. car and a drunk driver came and slammed to his car,

  606. and his car went backwards and crushed both his legs.

  607. This promising career almost ended. But such was the determination

  608. of this guy that he started after months, he started practicing.

  609. He started practicing, and he won the French Open twice.

  610. After that, he also became the most celebrated clay caught

  611. tennis player of the time, before Rafa Nadal, So before

  612. Raphael Nadal was the king of clay, Thomas Master was

  613. the king of clay. And what's the story? He did

  614. it after his legs were crushed. So now you have

  615. Paul who is talking about Jesus after Jesus was brutalized

  616. for you and me, what difference does it make? It

  617. makes a huge difference, so much so. And Paul's when

  618. Thomas said, I don't believe what's the first Jesus did

  619. when he came and came and so hey, Thomas, what's

  620. the matter with you coming? See my hands? Feel it?

  621. Put your hand in my side? Philip, you okay for

  622. my Lord and my God. That was what Thomas responded. Guys,

  623. when you talk about your experience, you talk about how

  624. difficult things were for you and then God turned it around.

  625. You mean to say, somebody is not going to be blessed.

  626. You have to go on missions. You have to as

  627. I started out in the very beginning, you get out

  628. of bed, guess what you're going for? Missions? Missions to

  629. your place of work. Missions while you go and catch

  630. the bus. Missions and God, you know, you remember the

  631. testimony I share the man who just refused to accept

  632. the Lord, and he was dying from cancer. And when

  633. I heard he was in hospital, I went to see him.

  634. Do you remember that? What did I tell the Lord? Lord?

  635. What do I share with this guy? He's already rejected you.

  636. Then the Lord said, Badminton? Are you okay? Lord? Badminton? Yeah, Badminton.

  637. So I went to see him. This man, he is

  638. in hospital. You know when I ask him, Hey, I'm

  639. sixty four years old, I've got no more timer, I

  640. got no more time. So I asked this guy directly,

  641. you do know you're dying, right, That's my first question?

  642. Would you all ask him that?

  643. No?

  644. But you say, I'm sixty four years old. I don't

  645. care anymore. You do know you're dying, right? Yes? I said,

  646. do you like badminton?

  647. Oh?

  648. Yeah, I like badminton. Great, I said, Jesus was playing badminton,

  649. did you. He's already served the shuttle to you when

  650. he died in the cross for you. You will see

  651. nothing happen in your life until you return it back

  652. in faith. Do you want to accept the Lord? Yes,

  653. he accepted the Lord. One week later, he tells his niece.

  654. You see, the man said I would not accept the

  655. Lord until I see him right. But it didn't happen

  656. then when he accepted the Lord. One week later, his

  657. niece tells me a man appeared in white in his bedroom.

  658. Couldn't see the face, but he was gloring, really all white.

  659. And this man said, I knew this was Jesus. He

  660. came to visit me. I couldn't see the face. A

  661. few days later, he says, two men in white came

  662. into the room. They had a discussion and then disappeared.

  663. So I told the nwe kids, get ready is about

  664. to go. A couple of days later, he left, those

  665. are the angels, probably preparing for him. Oh is this possible?

  666. You gotta listen. You gotta know God will use you

  667. even when you think you are not able to be used.

  668. Do you know? Paul says, I'm determined to share Jesus

  669. and I'll be ending soon. I'm determined to share Jesus

  670. and him crucified because nothing compass, nothing compares to Jesus. Guys,

  671. when I went to Singapore and I was sharing in

  672. my friends, you know how long I had known Jesus.

  673. Three months. I've only known Jesus for three months, and

  674. I'm just telling what I have seen, what I know.

  675. You don't have to be a preacher to share. Let

  676. me tell you. The ones who preach up here, they

  677. are always shaking. You know why, because if we preach

  678. the wrong thing, God's gonna hold us accountable. So you

  679. think it's jolly up there, No, it's no, it's a

  680. great responsibility. We come. You don't see a niece knocking,

  681. But actually the niece are knocking. Okay, the older people

  682. the niece cannot knock so well, they had to move

  683. like me. No, but this is it. Guys. You were

  684. saying that Jerome was saying on you were saying Jerome

  685. was singing at the top of his voice, praising the Lord,

  686. and you didn't care whether it was on key off key.

  687. It was just do you know that when I first

  688. became a Christian, I couldn't sing. In fact, it was

  689. described this way. You know the black keys and the

  690. white keys are those that heard me sing. Say I'm

  691. singing in the cracks in between. I couldn't sing, But

  692. did it stop me? No? I sang on top of

  693. my voice, just like Jerome. In fact, the the song

  694. the ministry team leader. So I'll be here singing. I'll

  695. be always in the front seat. And then after that,

  696. keep quiet. You're throwing everybody off. The music leader is

  697. actually telling me to keep quiet because I'm throwing everybody off.

  698. Then praise the Lord. The pastor stands up and says,

  699. leave him alone, because if he sings like that one day,

  700. bring a dead body before his worship and the person

  701. will come back to life. I was so encouraged. But

  702. you want to know something, The Lord taught me how

  703. to sing. You cannot do something doesn't mean you will

  704. never do it. But if you're willing to open yourself

  705. up to the leading of the Lord and do what

  706. he tells you to do. You will be able to

  707. do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
