You're listening to a message to go from Axs Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
So the title of the message this morning is the
-
Life Saving Station, The Life Saving Station. And before we
-
go into that, we're gonna turn to Luke chapter nineteen. Okay,
-
Luke chapter nineteen. You got a Bible's review. Can turn
-
there and if you are there, say yeah, much louder
-
than PJ or the PJ with more people. Yeah, people
-
were quietly. I don't know why. So anyway, Okay, we're
-
gonna read. Okay, let's read. So he says. Here, then
-
Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was
-
a man named Zachias who was a chief text collector,
-
and he was rich, and he sought to see who
-
Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for
-
he was of short stature. Everybody says short stature. Okay,
-
it means his short. Lah, he's short. The Bible is
-
ready descriptive when they say something. There's a reason to even. Okay,
-
and imagine now if the Bible write about you and
-
say you're shot. Wow, I tell you. Um. So it continues.
-
So he ran ahead and climb up into a sycamore
-
tree to see him, for he was going to pass
-
that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he
-
looked up and saw him and said to him, zac years,
-
make haste and come down, for today I must stay
-
at your house. So he made hayes and came down
-
and received him joyfully. Okay, I'm gonna pause here. You know,
-
sometimes when we read the Bible, it's very difficult for
-
us to imagine, you know, because because how many of
-
you here know a text collector? Nobody? Right, No, I
-
don't know nobody. I mean I think if you are
-
text colector, so you won't admit right, Uh you know
-
what sycamore tree looks like? No? Right, No, no, so's
-
it's something's very difficult to connect the thoughts when you read,
-
you know, and sometimes you can read this as a storybook.
-
But I want to let you know that it's historical fact.
-
The Bible is not a storyable, no matter what you
-
might think it is. It is not a storybook. It's
-
not a legend, it's not a myth. It's a historical fact.
-
And the way the Bible was written, it was not
-
written as a factual book. It was written as a
-
literature that is towards us people in the future that
-
will want to follow who Christ is. So it's not
-
meant to be a science book and people are science. No, No,
-
it's not meant to be that. It's not meant to
-
be a storyable I feel good. No, it's meant to
-
be like autobiography, a diary. It is meant to be
-
a way to live your cash that. You know some
-
speakers who say it is like Christ's love story to us,
-
It's like God's love story to as well. In a way. Yes,
-
I guess if you Every time I think about when
-
people say that, I think. I think if you're girls,
-
then you connect more if your guys your hard love story, Yeah,
-
you know, for guys, maybe you can say it's a
-
la or instruction or tip. You know, you want to
-
be successful in life, read the Bible, right, you want
-
to be successful in your marriage? Read the Bible. You
-
want to you know it's true. You know for guys,
-
maybe that connects with us small focus. Oh, it's God's
-
love love story to me. So so I want to
-
stretch it a little bit to help us to try
-
to put ourselves in that situation. Okay, so let's talk
-
a bit about zach Yeas. Okay, I've got some names,
-
but I don't want to name the names famous people
-
you know that I can say, like Zac Yias. But
-
imagine someone in your life today. Imagine someone in your
-
life that you really don't like, one like you really like,
-
really you don't like on someone that probably borrow your
-
money and didn't return it. Okay, there here, Please forgive them. Okay,
-
don't point fingers on no no or maybe always say no,
-
I will help you and I but but canno keep
-
the promise. One image someone like that, think, think about it.
-
Think about that person for now, right, and imagine that
-
this person is really young, so you on, really not
-
handsome and all short. You know, hey, if it's handsome, o,
-
soa you can steal forgive, you know, like if passus
-
Steven you know, borrow my money and they returned I
-
It's okay, it's okay, I he you know, it's okay,
-
it pretty, it's okay. But this isn't really like short,
-
you know, yeah, it's like, oh my goodness, like I
-
really did imagine that person. Can imagine imagine this person's
-
day job is a scammer. Now got a scam case.
-
See scammer, your your affiliated scammer. Because that was what
-
the text collectors were. You know why people didn't like
-
text colllectors then because they collected more than what they
-
need and you cannot go against them because they are
-
entrusted by the room. And then see now we got
-
we got uh, we got what what's the word? Past chodla?
-
We got check and balanced, we got you know all
-
these last time don't have one? Last time is between
-
you and me. Right, don't write lost the paper. That's it.
-
So it's my word against your word, right, think about
-
it that way? That was then, right, So of course
-
these guys, of course nobody liked him. Nobody liked him
-
because you know, he said, well, Zakiers, make haste and
-
come down. So he made hayes and came down and
-
receive him joyfully. But when they saw it, they all complained,
-
saying he has gone to be a guest with a
-
man who is a sinner. Think about it there for
-
a moment, Zakiaza, Zakiazza, think about a person you really
-
don't like in your office. Maybe it's a friend, Maybe
-
he's a friendly member. This fellow every time borrow money,
-
no return, every time say you're gonna turn a new leaf,
-
not gonna over a new leaf. Not just that a scammer. No,
-
you cannot trust he can not trust son, cannot trust son.
-
But Jesus said, Zakiers, make haste and come down for today,
-
I must dine in your house. How many of you
-
here will go well done Jesus' best decision ever? Or
-
will react the same way? And again, I'm not saying
-
this to guilt trip. You know, I think most of us,
-
even me, I'll be like, hey, Jesus, sure, not sure,
-
not Jesus, this guy's a scammer. No, he cheat everybody. Hey,
-
you know this person's mother had to go hospital her
-
he could cheat her money. You know now she's sicking
-
and she died. You know you want to go to
-
his house? Jesus, are you sure? Not? Right? Then Zakiah
-
stood up and said to the lord. Look, Lord, I'll
-
give half of my goods to the poor. And I
-
have taken anything from anyone by false accusation. I restore
-
for for war scam people. Do you want to give
-
back money? How many of you will go show bo?
-
I did? I'm like, hey, please, show me, show me,
-
show me, then I believe sure not for many many
-
years you already scamming people, do all kinds of things.
-
You know you you sure no, you're not male character.
-
Now just Jesus. You know everybod Jesus is superstar going
-
and then now you are you know, now you want
-
to improve yourself also probably think that way right, and
-
he's not wrong. But look at how Jesus responds. And
-
Jesus said to him today, Salvation has come to this
-
house because he also is a son of Abraham. For
-
the Son of Man has come to seek and to
-
save that which was lost. Okay, let's let's try and
-
unpack what we just read a little bit. Men, Jesus
-
coming to this place, Can I not hear? La? We're
-
all hanging out with Jesus and Sonny. He sees his
-
scammer or this person that hurt us, or this person
-
that betrayed us. And Jesus said, I want to go
-
to your house, friends, not your house. Are not John
-
Chung's hauser, not Paster Steven's hauser, that guy's house. How
-
you feel? And he responded, for the son of Man
-
has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Okay,
-
unpecking r. Okay. Let me ask you a question, okay.
-
And it's not a true question, Okay, it's a very
-
direct question. All of you here are lost? Anybody here lost,
-
still lost? Don't know Christ yet? Still lost? Are you
-
still lost? Or most? I think most know Jesus. So
-
you're not lost. So did Jesus come for you? Did
-
Jesus come for you? No? Ma, we all seen the steel, Ma.
-
Yes he came for us. Yes, because we were once lost,
-
but now we are found, right, Yeah, but you're found ready, Ma,
-
you're found ready? So must he still go to your house?
-
Think about it? Okay, let me stretch it a little bit.
-
Now I'm stretching it, and I'm stretching it, okay, and we
-
are searching it. Why didn't he say I will go
-
to Peter's house, I will go to John's house. Why
-
didn't he say that? Someone said, because they are with him, La,
-
they are with him? Do they? They are really with him?
-
They are already going everywhere with Christ? Do they? Does
-
he need to go to your house? No? He he
-
came to meet people that he's not met yet, right,
-
because the disciples were ready there with him all the time. Okay,
-
let me stretch it now. So if they are ready
-
with Jesus all the time, then he don't really need
-
to go to your house. Last makes sense, right? So
-
if I stretched to you all, if you are ready
-
with Jesus all the time, then He is ready with
-
you all the time. Unless we only meet Jesus once
-
a week on a Sunday in Emerald Hotel. But from
-
Monday to Friday we are not with him. That's why
-
we get angry when he don't come to a house.
-
Think about it, requite suddenly, think about it. I want
-
to challenge your top process. Right. Are we with Christ
-
all the time? Or is Christ? Someone said this very
-
funny thing I heard before force in christianize it four season?
-
Not four season? What for? What for events a year? No? No,
-
two events a year? Two events a year? Eastern Christmas? Okay,
-
he's there in Christmas. I'm not trying, not anybody here.
-
I'm just trying to give us some revelation. Christ came
-
to sit and save the loss. So then how should
-
we respond? Let me read a partial scripture, sorry not scripture.
-
Let me give you a background a little bit. So
-
I'm going to read you a story from the experience.
-
You guys went through this, right, homes, you went through this.
-
I'm sure you went through the The last my homes
-
was last week only. I know you had homes last
-
last week. I don't know it was it the last one?
-
Was it that one? That chapter? So anyway, my homes
-
was last week only more like last Friday. So I
-
only just read this and you spoke to me about something,
-
and I'm going to share it with you today. Okay.
-
So I'm gonna try it. I'm gonna try my best
-
to present it in you know, the most entertaining way possible. Okay.
-
I tried to try my narrative voice. Okay. So, the
-
life saving station on a dangerous sea coast where shipwrecks
-
often occur, there was once a crude, little life saving station.
-
The building was just a hut and there was only
-
one boat, but a few devoted members kept a constant
-
watch over the sea, and we've no thought of themselves,
-
went out day and tirestly searching for the loss. Right,
-
many lines were saved by this wonderful little station, so
-
it became famous. Many lives were safe. Right we started
-
the homes because you didn't reach out Bandama and then
-
you know, we have more me things because you have
-
to have mom me things, right, you know how you're
-
gonna plan, how you're gonna brave, you don't have more
-
me things. So but it was only a few people.
-
It was only a little bit of people. There was
-
not much resources, there was no building yet it was
-
just zoom during pandemic. Some who were saved and various
-
others in the surrounding area wanted to become associated with
-
the station and give of their time and money and
-
effort for the support of it. What makes sense, right
-
like oh established a the ex banal Dama. Then different
-
wants to come o exp so happening income, I want
-
to help out, I want to serve, I want to
-
do stuff. I want to be part of it. Right,
-
so then they contribute, you know why, let me help.
-
So new boats were bought, a new cruise trained, and
-
the life saving station crew, more homes while we shifted
-
from one world to now M world, from one to
-
M now one M one Malaysia. Anyway, can I let
-
you know that X Banodama is one of the nicest
-
church plans in terms of venue. We ever had sex
-
right pass even knows that. Okay, so nice under sea,
-
so so comfortable. But some of the members of the
-
life saving stations were unhappy that the building was so
-
crude and fully equipped. You're you're definitely not a happy la.
-
This doesn't apply to your doesn't apply to your all okay, right,
-
so and poorly equipped. Right. They felt a more comfortable
-
place should be provided for the first refuge of those
-
safe from the sea, so they replaced the emergency costs
-
with bits and put better furniture in their large building.
-
Now got reception, right, Now, we got you know, I
-
don't know, like, I don't know whatever, whatever, that will
-
upgrade the experience. Experience right, coffee machine, PJ. You got
-
coffee machine? Someone donated that. Okay, don't worry, it's kepture one.
-
It's not the barista and too expensive, so they replaced
-
not nice enough the chance, it's not nice enough the acon.
-
Now the live saving station became a popular gathering place
-
for its members, and they decorated it beautifully and furnished
-
it so exclusively. Because they used it as a sort
-
of a club, Fewer members were now interested in going
-
to see on live saving missions, so they hired lifeboard
-
crews to do its work. Yeah, let the full time
-
workers do it, lah, God called them. Man. We're all
-
very busy work, right, we need to we need to
-
be uh you know, out in the marketplace so that
-
we can you know, support the work. Not wrong, not wrong, okay,
-
but so busy right. I'm not interested this missions missions thing,
-
not my thing, la. So they hired lifeboard crews to
-
do this work. They hired got money rima, hi, la,
-
want to do themselves for what we all big time
-
see orima, No need to work on just do sit
-
down there and you know, don't let the people do.
-
We're still doing our job, right, and the life saving
-
motive still prevailed in this club's decoration. Yeah yeah, yeah,
-
I got the still still got the motive. You know,
-
you know what's our techline? Bassis steven Oh that all
-
may know? Right, got tech line? No, got tech line,
-
mission and vision. Everything's still there, right. There was even
-
a liturgical lifeboard in the room where the club initiations
-
were held. You're not that means not the first ever
-
liveboard that they use when they got the money. Now
-
is become museum. Look look look at our history, friends,
-
look at our history. Look at the lifeboard that once
-
saved people look at a wonderful history. About this time,
-
a large ship was wrecked off the coast and the
-
high crews brought in boatloads of coal, wet half drowned people.
-
They were dirty and sick, and someone that had black skin,
-
some yellow skin. The beautiful Meal club was in kios Ah.
-
Crazy man. So the property committee property com media, you've
-
got property committee here immediately had a shower house built
-
outside better outside. Okay, no, no, no, this place too clean,
-
cannot cannot cant after the hotel don't like us. So
-
let's have another church plan and other service plan in
-
a place where everybody can go on because here it's
-
too nice. Okay, too nice, So where the victims of
-
shipwreck could be cleaned up before coming inside. They okay,
-
you need to come At the next meeting. There was
-
a split in the club membership. Oh no. Most of
-
the members wanted to stop the club's life saving activities
-
as being unpleasant and the hindrance to the normal social
-
life for club passes steven. We need to have more retreats.
-
Why want to go missions for no need. We need
-
to build the church inside so that we because we
-
have a good time, so that we can be connected
-
more and more passes yearn right, so that we can
-
connect to homes and enjoy ourselves. That's where the family
-
of God, right, we should do that, okay, huh. But
-
then some members insisted about life upon life saving as
-
their primary purpose and pointed out they were still called
-
a life saviization. Hello, Puss Steven all ask him missions?
-
Why you never go in mobilizer missions? Huh, Masma, we
-
must save the loss. No need to do all these
-
other gathering and not important. Actually it's still important. No, no, no,
-
no mass missions, you have those, right. But they finally
-
voted down comfort over text everything ah and told that
-
if they wanted to save the lives of all the
-
various kinds of people who were shipwrecked in those squatters,
-
they could be gain their own life saving station down
-
the coastla. And they did. Plancha shaw huh, plancha shaw
-
xbu SD right, so plan ex kota Damasara. Finally now
-
all right, can plant Xsara, going plant. We will still
-
support you, We will still pray for you, grand plant. Okay.
-
As the years went by, the new station experienced the
-
same changes that had occurred in the old, it evolved
-
into a club, and yet another life saving station was founded.
-
History continued to repeat itself, and if you visit that
-
sea coast today, you will find a number of exclusive
-
clubs along that shore. Shipwrecks are frequent in those waters,
-
but unfortunately most people drown. So of course it's just
-
a story, La, Please don't feel anything. This is a
-
fake story. It is Bible different design is just a story.
-
Let me share with you what goes spoke to me.
-
So my homes is PJA A. Hi, my name is Elvin.
-
I'm from PJ eight homes. Right. My homes we planted
-
out my homes so I used to be in PG
-
three homes, right, and then we planted out from their homes,
-
and my homes were very very comfortable with guys, my
-
home is super happening. Why of course I meet in
-
this wonderful family's place called the Limb family, and Vonica
-
can really cool. So imagine every time I go home,
-
the food so good. We really miss homes, right, and
-
then with all our families come and we're all, you know,
-
enjoying fellowship and everything right, And I don't know why
-
can I know why I are? Because here we believe
-
in five four minutestry. And I think I've shared a
-
few times, and I think different ones I have recognized.
-
We recognize different means, different gift things. So one of
-
it is for me is apostelic means I cannotee still
-
And there's my problem. Okay, can I say still cannot
-
but really enjoy homestone homes is good so much, so
-
I pasted. I don't have to do anything, you know
-
in the homes, I don't have to do anything. I
-
just come, you know, pray some prayers, say some word,
-
then can go back. Oh, no need to stress because
-
I busy, My friends, you understand I'm busy. I got
-
two kids. Logistically very difficult. Right, I want to go
-
plant home some more? May I really already know? I
-
did my Dew's already, friends, I did my jews. Ready
-
let the young ones like passes you and go and suffer. Anyway,
-
we went planned. Of course, it was too comfortable. Something
-
had to happen. My home setters were going on to the
-
people nice right, wow, big, we enjoy ourselves. We fellowship
-
by much. We planted so I and I didn't want
-
to plan alone, and so I spoke to my wife.
-
I have to check a wife first. I don't set
-
marry better check your wife erst a. I checked my idea.
-
I think it's asking to do these can or not right?
-
Because we wanted to go and wanted to reach out
-
to campers students, there was the call and I thought, hey,
-
you know what, my family go, so at least I die.
-
My family, me and my wife, my two kids, drag
-
them along, you know, And a pastial experiment is like,
-
hey can I can? I also like impart to them
-
to serve the lot when they're young? Can they plant
-
or home? See me? Rather than I go alone normally?
-
Last time I go myself, then my wife. Now it's
-
like no, we go together. I said, yeah, sure, let's
-
do it. And then I open up to my homemies
-
and say, hey, guys, you know I want you to
-
pray and ask a lot if any of you will
-
follow me, thinking in my mind, thinking that those under
-
my huddle and those that are close to me will say, comes,
-
I'll join you. At least half the home sead you
-
know you know that, like we will already Taima. But
-
nobody said yes, they will come and join me. In fact,
-
there was one family that I was hoping that will come,
-
didn't say and left it, or maybe they were expecting
-
Pastor Elvin to ask them, but I didn't want to
-
because God has to speak to them, not me. I'm
-
not God, because if I speak to them, anything goes wrong.
-
They were pointing, I say, you asked us to do this. However,
-
there was a family that I knew and they were
-
not like full on, but I said, you know what,
-
maybe so I asked and they said, yeah, wherever you go,
-
I'll follow. I'm not okay, great at least one family,
-
so me this other family and Michelle you know, came up.
-
Miche line came out right and and we and we
-
planted a homesa you know, and it's eight months city
-
and uh, I wish I could say, you know. And
-
then after that the campers suitors are coming. Then we
-
started hitting more young students because God opened the door.
-
So the past eight months right one campus student let
-
me clarify, one master's international camper student only fit fully coming.
-
We faithfully fetching him. Michelle can't fetch coss you me
-
in the house. And we had to meet homes on
-
the other Friday because we are homeless see how smart
-
right pass nice homes do one plan out now no
-
bendic ready got no place to meet, have to meet
-
because out of the kindness of you know, I think
-
feel like my daughter go up plan homes can all
-
let her alone. So I better, you know, open my house.
-
So we meet all Turner Friday. You know how hard
-
that is. Everybody meet homes meeting homes know can quite
-
lonely and know everybody meeting that we are we are
-
meeting the other week and we are like meeting one
-
week later. So eight man, so dulo ulo dula? What
-
am I sharing to you? So last week we did
-
this and God spoke to me. Let me let me
-
try to present it for Beulah. Is XBU a life
-
saving station or his XBU just a club? I mean,
-
I'm not saying this to make people feel bad now.
-
I think we just gotta be We gotta know the truth.
-
If it's a club, it's a club pass. If it's
-
a club, just take club membership and people feel great
-
and that's it. Okay, But if XBU is a life
-
saving station, you gotta think about it. La Okay. Let
-
me let me go back to BJ. So when I
-
read that I ask myself, is XPJ a life saving
-
station or we just a club? Can I give you
-
a live tip? You know, I give you a tip
-
that will work in your life. Okay, generally, I know
-
I'm not right all, but I think I've given you
-
some form of wisdom. When you are unsure about your
-
crossroads in your life, or when you are not sure
-
about certain things, always go back to the original intention
-
of why it started in the first place. Your catch that,
-
I know it's a mouthful, Always go back to the
-
origin in attention because a lot of times in life
-
we will do something, have fun, go and you know,
-
it always starts well, but later down the road now
-
when things go don't go, something has changed, and most
-
of the time the original intention has changed or the
-
objective has changed. You know said no, no, no, it's still
-
like that. But actually, if you study properly, it is
-
not so. I asked myself the question, why was x
-
Church planted in Battaling Jaya on the nine of September
-
twenty twelve, thirteen years ago. Why was XPJ birth? Was
-
it just so that we can have another gathering of
-
believers here in PJ? Was it? Let me if you're
-
familiar with America. There is a place in America that
-
is called the Bible Belt of America. You know what
-
it means. I think it's even on my second it's
-
somewhere in Texas, Tennessee. Why because our day is where
-
a lot of church ran, a lot by God chish
-
Do you know that where XPJ meets, they were a
-
lot of just there already big I wouldn't name names that,
-
but they were in fact in Jaya one right, just
-
I think two three months ago a good friend planted
-
service or so there but reaching out to the Indonesia,
-
and I didn't even know about. I'm like, hey, when
-
say you know, like Sailah you know, but then we
-
can work together. But I didn't even know. Why? Why
-
why planet just there? So many people? Why why xbu?
-
Why planet just here so that you're nearer to people
-
so that they can attend easier? Is that the reason?
-
I mean, I don't know. Again, if there's a reason,
-
don't be judged, although I know you're probably feeling judged
-
right now, But there has to be something more right,
-
There has to be something more. I mean, it's not
-
wrong to I mean I would love to attn x
-
KK you know, I'm praying Lord actually not thinking one
-
take aver from Pasidica. No, No, it's okay, a very
-
happy way. I'm ready. Was it so that we can
-
have another gathering or was it so that we can
-
have a lighthouse be a lighthouse to the people here?
-
What was the intention? Let me share a bit more
-
on the intention. But you know, because this might benefit
-
you in your own life. I remember one of the
-
leaders in Bja and of course having challenges your homes
-
and and how you know, my Homi is not the
-
easiest people and very difficult. I'm like, hey, you're the
-
home leader. You wanted to talk to up to you la, right,
-
you know, but then where my homies go pastore hard
-
whay my homies go, I'm like, well, it's up to you.
-
And then he's like, oh yeah, you know I really
-
feel the sense like yeah, we might have to do
-
that and then just channel people in different homes and
-
so that at least we can start a fresh you know,
-
and stuff like that. I mean, And I said, well,
-
up to you if you feel that too, And then
-
he said, oh, but I don't know how to share them.
-
I said, well, it's not very difficult. Go back to
-
the original intention of why we do homes in the
-
first place. Is it just a social gathering or is
-
it meant for something bigger? Because I understand homes in
-
acts is to be fruitful and multiply. And if the
-
homes is not multiplying or it's not being fruitful, you're
-
not fruitful. It's not we got this ten cash I
-
some homemeaders, or I hear the two. Yeah, the traumati.
-
You know, it's not traumatic. It's not bad. Basically ten indicators,
-
whether homes is healthy or not. That is truefulness, right,
-
go back to that and then they will know that. Yeah,
-
maybe it's time to close because it's not frueful nowither
-
is it multiplying. In fact, it is just a social
-
getting for us to come and complain about what church
-
is doing wrong. It's always good to check. You know,
-
where has it reached? Then you know the true intention
-
of the heart. So always check whether it's your relationship.
-
You know, something's marriages, married couples. Can I encourage you
-
remember again why you got married in the first place,
-
then maybe you will fight less. How you fall in
-
love with the girl, how you find love with the guy.
-
Always think about it. You know, that's why you are
-
how you start relationing very important. We are very I
-
mean I break for me. I knew that no matter how
-
bad things get, with me and my wife, I know
-
God brothers together. So I can't deny that, right and
-
I hold on to that. And however bad things get,
-
just sila, you know, so always think about how it started.
-
I remember the day when we were praying and seeking
-
God before he planted XPJ six months we prayed, right,
-
and you know, we prayed for six months. And then
-
now of course now you're on blanches, they're more you know,
-
it's more clearer. Okay, last time, we all like, can
-
I just see where it goes? Do we even know
-
we're gonna meean Jivan? No, we didn't know. We didn't
-
know it all. You know, do we even know we're
-
gonna be here? No? No, we don't know. Only God letters.
-
And we prayed and we prayed and and and you
-
know what we do is okay, we pray, we pray
-
and then after we asked us everybody, hey, everyone, do
-
you catch anything from the lot and any difference? Once
-
we share and remember a few people shirt that we
-
receive a word that we will be the lighthouse to
-
the people in BJ. A lighthouse, you know, lighthouse does right,
-
lighthouse are is ship gonna crash it and say hey, hello, hello,
-
Loo got roxy here? Please I don't crash our Please
-
you don't go somewhere else. Show people the way. We
-
also pray now very clearly for the spirit of materialism,
-
so so spiritual and I'm like, sounds funny, but no,
-
because we know that BJ is very affluent and unfortunately,
-
whether we like it or not, sometimes our hearts, things
-
are more important than people. Money is more important than family,
-
you know, so you can get there. Unfortunately we don't
-
like it, but it's a spirit. Sorry. May we prayed
-
against the spirit. We also prayed we also prayed against
-
the spirit of well, I'm not against, but we also
-
pray for families, that families who need or need to
-
experience God will find God, find hope. It's not easy,
-
you know, to start a family. It's not easy to
-
do all these things. Prayed for all these things. Then
-
you know, when we started off, right, we were all
-
like young adults and we were like oh, x change campers, student,
-
we never even think about family. And then God brought
-
young kiadabs to BJ. My goodness, seventy young adults. Before that,
-
we thought we actually only reach out to camera students. No,
-
seventy younger, begin old. The now family is ready. Now
-
we come to BJ, you'll see something like be all
-
like that, very very nice mix, got young and got old. Right.
-
We prayed for all these things. We were sent here
-
for a bigger purpose, not just to start a club. So, friends,
-
I confidently tell you this morning that if you're here
-
interested to join a club, I'm so sorry. We are
-
not going to be a club. We are not called
-
to be a club. That also means that you might
-
get pushed, and I hope you're okay with that. You
-
might get pushed because club just sit down, come here,
-
pay fee, and then okay, puss, pay feeler and take
-
membership fee. And then what are the benefits pasted Steven
-
Mary Berry and hospital visitation? Right, that's the benefit, right,
-
because you bay fee's right? Is that how we live life? Yeah?
-
I know I'm a main crew love x twenty twenty
-
four says, but my life is worth nothing to me
-
unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me
-
by the Lord Jesus, the work of telling others the
-
good news about the wonderful grace of God. So I
-
think the son is a bit more close. So my
-
shared is in PJA early on. Maybe I'll start with this.
-
One of the Sundays, I asked a team was charing.
-
Team was charing, and I asked him to pray for
-
the youth. And then he said, past anything specific, And
-
I told him, I said, well, bro, I'll just share
-
it this whaler. I believe that the Holy Spirit will
-
speak to you on what to pray for for the youth,
-
because as a church we to pray what's happening. What's
-
happening especially, I mean, things are happening in your backyard
-
right and it's not I mean as a church, we
-
know that it's spiritual as well. And I told team this,
-
I said, I truly believe in my heart of hearts
-
that if the young person knew Christ the way we
-
knew Christ, not just no Christ or no but the
-
way some of us here you understand what I'm talking about.
-
If he well, I wouldn't be so specific. If the
-
young person knew Christ the way we knew Christ, I
-
don't think what happened would have happened that I truly
-
believe and it's said that it happened. But think about it.
-
If people really knew Christ the way we knew Christ,
-
not just no Christ as Jesus or oh I'm a
-
Christian name, but you know, come on Sunday and then
-
that there's no relationship. I think they really knew Christ
-
the way some of us understand what I'm trying to say.
-
I think, not the world a better place, but I
-
think I don't think young people lose their lives. I
-
don't think things like this will be happening in schools.
-
That's my firm belief. Friends, we've got something precious with
-
us that other people need to experience. Let me show
-
you this picture. There's his picture. When I was preparing
-
for this message, I got his picture. So what's this lifeboard? Right?
-
So this this x bola? Okay, xbo what's a small
-
little life raft? You see smaller life raft? Okay? Well,
-
these are your homes are One home is going to
-
I mean a bit hard for a whole ship to
-
go there, right, but one homes is going to save
-
the I don't know why he's holding a briefcase in
-
the scene. Maybe he's drowning in debt or something. I
-
don't know, it's so weird anyway, and this guy is
-
holding briefcase just not can already see nicely. So these
-
homes went out to save these people. And then these
-
homes came to save this guy who is born and bearded,
-
and then the homes just true life raft to that
-
the lido there and then and then sometimes sometimes sound
-
was here, Sound's here, La might have fallen off the
-
ship ourselves, right, that's reality. Nobody's perfect. What right you follow?
-
You need saving? Right? Then someone you go and save
-
you La. I mean, if you're not assume you can
-
save yourself love. But anyway, it's a sealer. Just now
-
I got I don't know what's happening in Beulah, know,
-
but I give you this example. But just my PJ
-
is how to explain it now? Because today in PJ,
-
two homes went out for missions. So I joked during
-
per your Service like wow, ch don's gonna drop O
-
this weekend, which is true, I dropping someone like no,
-
but we will pray for fifteen new commercial cars like
-
that's I'm not going to say what happened, But two
-
homes also passa man and linstones went out to save people.
-
And then the teen's homes went for another mission trip
-
and then these homes I claim, I claim it's my homes.
-
Because later after church, the campus team is organizing this
-
thing called the Field to Fuel. You know who came
-
out the named michell la Uh and she's she's preparing,
-
she's cooking a storm for them. When I heard them,
-
like it's very busy, like what are you doing? It's
-
like cooking roasting chicken line and I'm like, hey, I
-
cannot go. So she's really cooking a storm for them.
-
We've got some chemis. Students made four or five of them,
-
and what they're gonna do is that they're actually gonna
-
pack startup packs fifty start packs or more like welcome
-
packs for their freshies. And what we're gonna do is
-
you're gonna take this welcome packs and they're gonna pass
-
it on to people. We're not gonna put brnding nothing.
-
The students are gonna take responsibility to say who I
-
want to pass this to, to bless them and if
-
people are curious, they asked, then we see you ready
-
s goes last. But they're coming together. We're coming together
-
to save someone. We're doing small things like this it'sn't
-
have to be big. You know, we're doing small things.
-
I need to say something because someone needs to be connected.
-
Someone is a life raft, someone is prayer. Maybe it
-
doesn't have to be a big thing. Friends, No, no, no, no,
-
but straightway bring the registration form and straightway sign your
-
life to XBU. No. Friends, some people just need a prayer.
-
We can do that. No no, no must be pastor
-
first past this event or ne pastes can go out.
-
Only LSBO can go out. No anyone, anybody who knows
-
this picture came to my mind and and okay, let's
-
read Luke chapter five vers one. Are you guys? Okay?
-
Luke Chapter five US one to nine. Okay, I hope
-
you're catching something out of this. If you're feeling out,
-
it's not me. It's definitely Holy spirit. Yeah, okay, look
-
chapter five Okay, and then we're close. Okay. So he
-
says here so it works as the multitude press about
-
him to hear the word of God, that he stood
-
by the lake of Ganessaret and saw two boats standing
-
by the lake, but the fishermen had gone from them,
-
and they were washing their nets. Then he got into
-
one of the boats, which was Simon's and asked him
-
to put out a little from the land, and he
-
sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When
-
he had stopped speaking, he said to Simon, launched out
-
into the deep and let your nets, let down your
-
nets walk catch. But Simon answered and said to him, Master,
-
we have told all night and caught nothing. Nevertheless, at
-
your word, I will let down the net. Passa steven.
-
We want to organize another our reach. We tried ready
-
so many times. Plan homes again. Hey, nobody, come now,
-
we're all enjoyed fellowship and homes. Go ahead and do
-
all this kind of thing again. Ha, another prayer service.
-
A Okay, I'm joking. I'm joking. I'm joking. But Simon
-
answered and said to him, Master, see but no signs
-
we can do. But I'm I'm also talking to leaders here.
-
We tried so much ready, papase Alvin, I really pray
-
for all of the people who did. I keep getting rejected.
-
But I tried so long, really, so many years I've
-
been praying for my my you know, my family members
-
who do not believe, so many years and they haven't
-
even In fact, now I'm being persecuted. You mean do again,
-
do again, try again. I'm so tired. So to it. Master.
-
We have to all night and caught nothing. Hello, I
-
know what I'm doing, eh, I know what I'm doing. Jesus,
-
I did it. Really, I'm the fisherman, not you. I
-
did really. Nevertheless, at your word, I will let down
-
the net. So they signaled, and when he had done this,
-
they caught a great number of fish and their net
-
was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the
-
other board to come and help them, and they came
-
and filled both the boats so that they begin to sink. Friends,
-
this morning, I believe that Christ wants xbu to launch
-
out into the deep. And when I say that, I'm
-
not saying like, Okay, come on, everybody, cue your job
-
and become food. No no, no, no, that's not what I'm saying.
-
Launch out into the deed, whatever it may mean to you. Right.
-
But the one thing I'm beginning to realize is that
-
launching out into the deep takes obedience and submission. Obedience
-
to no obedience to the pastor or obedience to Christ. Okay,
-
it takes obedience at submission he does. I'm actually developing
-
a message on submission because I think it's something that really,
-
if we really want to experience the more of God
-
in our lives, are that it only takes two things,
-
obedience and submission. It only takes two things. You know why,
-
because when we take that step of faith, then we
-
will experience God's hand in our lives because God is
-
pleased with faith. I'm not just saying this out of
-
you know, the air. For those of you who are
-
believer us for a long time, you understand this that
-
when you step out in faith's the one is steping on.
-
Faith means God says something. You obey most of the time,
-
and God says something and asks us to do it right.
-
We can't see the front partner, We can't see the
-
later power. It takes faith one, because in the Bible
-
it says, but without faith, it is impossible to please him.
-
For he who comes to God must believe that he
-
is and that He is a rewarder of those who
-
diligiently seek him Hebrews eleven six. It takes faith first,
-
and with the stepping out in faith, then God will
-
reward you. That's how it works. Friends. It's not the
-
way I intended it, but I've experienced it myself, so
-
I understand how it works different ones. I've understand how
-
it works, how faith works, but it does require us
-
to step out into the deep, not playing the shallows.
-
Shallows is easier, Shallows is me hang out in my
-
homes was in the shadow. Now I'm really in the deep.
-
Let me let me share you how deep I am.
-
Right yesterday, so yesterday we had a homes meeting. We
-
hardly have homes, we think, because it's just three of us,
-
Me and Michaell and my wife that I just described,
-
my wife described Michelle. But yesterday we're a home meeting.
-
And then we said, you know what I think, prior
-
to this, maybe it's been a little bit more chill, right,
-
but I think let's let's start taking it seriously a
-
little bit more. Not to say we've not been, So
-
we say, you know what, I think what will help
-
is that, you know, so we're going to change our
-
homes day to a Thursday, same week with everybody else,
-
so we're not like like some splinter cell thing. Not
-
to say we are la, but you know, and we
-
will meet on a Thursday. And and and we thought, okay,
-
because I don't want to burden you know, Michelle and Bonica.
-
I'm going to try to ask my lsbo if anybody
-
can offer up their home, not permanently, but maybe once
-
off right once and we're going to be no medic
-
for a while. It's gonna be tough. We're gonna be
-
no for all. We're going to try. And then I said, hey,
-
you know what, home's greater place enough, right, maybe let's
-
start bringing back teams. Huh, teams are it's just my family,
-
Michelle and that one Camper student want to do teams?
-
Real weird right? No, go all out, prepare, invite card
-
do teams that can prepare, invite car Mark got designed,
-
and then we invite people. Let's go out, Lah, know
-
me comfortable, go out La. And we and as we're
-
talking and let me tell you how real it was.
-
And so we're talking, my wife brought up like, hey,
-
you know, our kids school next day, so she's not
-
keen on Thursday because next day our kids got school.
-
Sometimes we finished homestet ten tenth ten to travel back late. Okay,
-
parents who understand this, right? So she said, maybe the
-
only way we can navigate these logistics because you know,
-
we still we still have to fash a camera. Student
-
no transport, right, so we say we drive to Kasa.
-
She sattled against I fetch a camera students. Are we
-
agreed that we should do that to build this okay sacrifice,
-
but it drive to cars from kickin no, not from
-
PJ no. And then I was like, you know what,
-
Let's do homes earlier so that we can end earlier
-
for the consideration of the kids. Right, maybe you can
-
meet at seven o'clock anthy and we are like, yeah,
-
let's try and do that. And then we just need
-
to be chop chop. Why am I sharing you all
-
these details, our friends? It's not easy, but it's necessary.
-
It's not going to be convenient. But let me give
-
you the picture. We have experienced so much goodness here
-
in church, with our relationship with God, with Christ. Maybe
-
some of us here we have come out of a
-
dark place. Can you imagine this person? Can you go
-
back to the picture, this person that used to be
-
where you're at, but God not there for them because
-
they don't know him. We have God. So however deep
-
a hole we are, we can bounce back because we
-
know who our God is, We know crisis, we understand
-
our faith. You don't have to be a passador to
-
do that. You know, you know what I mean. You
-
have the community of believers, but think about those that
-
don't have that. We should go and save them. Think
-
about it five years ago, three years ago, what that
-
call were you in? You are out of it right,
-
Praise God. Now think about the person that is in
-
the same that hole. But God, no church, no community
-
know you. This is why we do what we do,
-
not just to be a club. So x B you
-
it's time to step out in faith and not be fearful.
-
It is time. It is also time to obey the
-
call of God and stop playing in the shadows. Stop it.
-
You know, if we want to be fruitful, then we
-
need to obey and submit and trust God. And can
-
I show you one last time at the end of
-
the day. I don't know what you will think. Okay,
-
I passed away, He passed them. He must encourage us
-
this way, ma, I mean, I don't know what you
-
will think. Okay, if you think that way, then well
-
that's how you think. Then up to you. I don't
-
know what you will do after this message. But the
-
one thing I know with the clarity is that every
-
one of us here have responsibility over our own faith,
-
and we have responsibility over what God gives us and
-
what we have, and how we steward it is up
-
to us. That's the reality. You stewart your family, you
-
stow it your life, you stow your faith. That's the reality.
-
And we all have to answer God one day. You know, everybody,
-
I know for a fact that my kids, my two kids,
-
my two wonderful kids, have to accept Jesus in their
-
own No, they're not born a Christian. Friends, I'm sorry.
-
If you're here and you think you're born a Christian.
-
After this, you need to accept Christ okay for the
-
first time, because there's no such thing as okay. I'm ething.
-
It's all I see change Christian, No such thing. Friends,
-
I'm so sorry. Everyone here who is a believer, you
-
understand this, that you have to make that call yourself
-
and choose Christ yourself and how you live your life
-
is your own responsibility. The wonderful thing about that is
-
you're not doing it the Lord. That's why we have
-
the church, That's why we have homes, That's why we
-
have message, that's why we encourage each others, that's why
-
we challenge each other This is a challenge. That's why
-
it's not play play one, it's real friends. But we
-
all have that responsibility and we all have to decide
-
what you want, what you subscribe to, how you want
-
to live your life, how you want to serve the Lord.
-
You have to decide. Yes, there might be a call
-
of God. That's why I will say many a call,
-
but if you're chosen, well, I would change it a
-
little bit. Many a call, but only if you chose,
-
only if you chose to go the next step. And
-
it's the choice, that is what I'm clear about. So
-
my encouragement really is time to step up. What that
-
means I don't know. You know, don't do it alone
-
and talk to your home leader, talk to you everything,
-
star power you know, and maybe more button is a
-
scolar Lord. What is the thing that I need to
-
do to step up? Because you want to see everybody
-
move forward? And can I share this? You know we
-
want to say people right, but do you know that
-
it's very difficult for you to say people if you
-
are in trouble? That makes sense? Right? How how is
-
this going to say? Cannot? So the other cool thing
-
about God is that you need to cult him yourself
-
as sir, you need to be okay first. You need
-
to be a first. You need to be stable first,
-
crying on because after you're stable, then you can go
-
help other people. Because if you're not stable, very hard.
-
So get stable, overcome, be fruitful, grow mature, and then
-
God will use you. Amen.
-
