Unpacking The Vision of Acts Church (Part 1) | Pr Daniel Chong

As fast was unbacking, you know, he had to go

through this amaking himself. The next thing that came to

him was the purpose, which happens to be the real why. Yeah,

so why that that came to him initially was passion right,

why we are doing what we're doing, Why we're what

we're doing, what we are hearing? But as he unpacked deeper,

he realized that actually the real why is the purpose?

Right?

And what is the purpose? The purpose is to essentially

this the vision has been given to X Church. The

reason behind that is too please God full stop. There's

no further reason that should be bigger than pleasing God.

And that was the real why that was given the passacana,

and that's for all of us as well. Why is

that because God wants this all for us. He wants

this all of us so as we please him, not

because we want blessing, not because we desire a breakthrough life. No,

it's because he desires a relationship with each and everyone

of us, and as.

We live to please him, the.

Breakthroughs will come in his ways in his thoughts, because

his ways, his thoughts are higher than all of us.

Some things that we even can't even understand will be

possible even with him, as we please him. So let's

live a life that is focused on the now and

the future, not just on the past, like Paul said

famously right leaving the past behind. In Philippine's Tree the Deed,

says Rginan, I don't call myself to be apprehended, but

one thing I do forgetting those things which are behind

and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. So, friends,

let's continue to live for God. Let's continue the as

we live in God. I just pray that we will

continue to prosper, prosper in all things. Third John one

How can we actually apply the vision that has been

break it down? We do it by applying the word

us in our lives, and the promises of God as

Oh, this is what the context is, the culture. But

for some of us, the way that we actually unpack

the vision is by realizing that as we apply the

word of God, as we apply the word of God,

if the Word of God says coming to his cause,

we praise coming to his cause with thanksgiving. The World

of God says, you shall experience the fullness of joy.

The World of God says that there is a piece

of supposed to all understanding. The Word of God says

that no weapon form against you shall prosper. The Word

of God says that you should forgive. Let's begin to

apply the word of God, because Scripture says that the word

of God is supposed to be made flesh, supposed to

be practical the application of the word of God. And

as we apply the word of God in this case

the vision that has been given to ex church, begin

to get our life perhaps a little bit more in order.

And when we get testimonies from the application. So, for example,

perhaps you are someone who is struggling, we forgiveness. How

can you even forgive such a person that has did

this against you? Some of us like to because we

have our moral standards right, We go like, oh, this

is war, therefore killing it's not acceptable.

This is there.

Then we stand on the moral high ground. Did you know, friends,

the only high ground that we're supposed to stand on

is on a heel, because the city that sat on

a hill.

Cannot be hidden. And there's each and every one of us.

To me, that's the only high ground that we have

to be stepping on, not on any moral high ground,

because honestly, all of us have fallen shot of the

glory of the lot. Not one of us a pastor

compared to a murderer. There's no difference in God's eyes

to our eyes you may go, yeah, clear difference past murderer.

Of course, everybody choose the pastor no. But in God's side,

did you know that he chose both, choose both his

desires that all will believe, all will come to the

saving grace of knowledge of Jesus Christ. But the reality

is that few few will choose the road that is narrow,

feel or choose that, But many will choose the white road,

the white road that leads to destruction.

Let us be the one to choose the narrow road.

Amen, So as we as we share our testimonies, because

what seems to be really something that's so tough, like forgiveness,

And we begin to say, okay, God, I tell you

what I don't understand. I don't know how, but since

the word of God says do this, I shall apply

it an our forgive of that suddenly forgiveness. I don't

know how you can relate to this personally. You realize

that there's a weight that is being lifted up from

your shoulders and you go like, oh, this is what

forgiveness actually feels like. Because God is more interested in me,

then God is interested in the one that wronged you.

Saying your breakthrough and hence why the word was given

to you to forgive. Because as you cowber that hate

and that resentment, the one that is not benefiting from

its actually yourself, the person is gonna live ren free.

In your head.

This is continue to be there all the world. But

as you forgive its to let go, you're going to

move on. And that becomes your personal story, your personal testimony,

and as you share it, suddenly the world God becomes

truth to you because it applies in your life.

It's something that happened to you.

If you constantly go like, oh, you know what, I

forgive because uh, rachelle forgive, and therefore I don't really

understand God.

I've never forgive before.

But because rachel forgive, then okay, I think I can understand.

No, until your obliged truth to.

Your own life, you will not be able to fully

comprehend the truth or the word of the Lord.

There's just an encouragement to all of us.

So let's you know, I pass't share an equation with

all of us, which is truth equals testimony. They are

truth equals testimony. All truths must become testimonies in our lives.

All truths must become testimonies in our life. As we

may know the truth but not have the freedom. Some

of us are still bounded by the by the unwillingness

to forgive. We're still stuck. Whenever we talk about forgiveness,

we go like, uh no, no, for me, I can

do everything I can give. I can give, I can

give to my tithe, my offering, but you don't ask

me to forgive this person. Did you know that if

you do that, you read on the part of tithe

and offering and you do not forgive, the type of

offering is actually avoided. Read the scriptures. It's as serious

as that, because God is not interested. God doesn't does

not need our money. In fact, he doesn't even need

our time. He wants our time. He wants a relationship us.

So let us just reflect on this. You know, as

we share every testimony, every story must have treatings. It

must be powerful, right, not not. Don't don't misunderstand. Oh,

I must have a powerful that's the many only it works. No,

when I talk about powerful, I mean the power of

the Holy Spirit. The power of the Holy Spirit must

be in every testimony because if it' start sharing right, Oh,

you know what it is because I it is because

I because I know.

Then where where is God in that picture? Right? Where

is where?

Where does it say that you're relying the power the

Holy Spirit? No, every testimony must be drawn back to

the Holy Spirit.

Yeah, how how he is working in our lives?

Because honestly, you can try all day, you can try

all night, you can do all you can with your

own knowledge or for some of words, we know, we

know that it is really not by our own not

my own strength, but the Spirit says the the Lord.

Every every testimony also must be personal. Yeah, it must

be your own testimony.

Yeah.

And every decimal maessemony must be practical. When he has

these three things, it is powerful, it's personally, it's practical.

The complicated truths can now be broken into testimonies. It

becomes easier for you to be able to share it

with other people.

You can't just go to the other person and say

it does say it's the Lord.

But you attach your own story to the scriptures and

people will be able to understand and comprehend it easier. Amen,

that's what we can do. The complicated truths can be

broken down. So let's let's go to a reflection. If

the book says this, if I am a reflection of

a walking Bible, because we are made in His image, right,

the word made flesh.

What are people actually reading about you? When people see you?

What do they see? Yeah? Do they see something of

the Lord? Do they see.

God who is reflected in your life? Right?

The love of Jesus. You know.

One thing about love that last week understand remind all

of us is that in the in the coming days,

in the in the end days and times, our love

for each other will continue to diminish more and more.

That is a warning. One.

At one time we were so passionate for each another. Yeah,

we are so passionate. I'm not talking about husband wife.

If really husband, why I start to lose love? Then

I pray that you you, your love will continue grow. Okay,

I'm talking about your love for other people. Because the

Bible says to love one another, love God, love one another,

love yourself. That's what the Bible says. That's what God says.

A scripture also warns us that in the end times,

more and more of our love for each other will

be diminished until a state where we don't even care anymore.

As not it doesn't concern my family. I'm not going

to talk about it. Did you know?

Sorry, there will be a big graphic and all of

us are doubts here. But did you know that recently

someone actually died from blaying pickable? You know when you

heard the news, saw the story. But it's quite tragic, right,

Someone actually fell into a void trying to pick up

a ball and he fell four stories and to his death.

Now it's still to his own reglags, but whatever it is,

it's still something that.

Is very tragic.

But some of us can read the story here and

just like, oh, okay, next.

Did you know who?

For some of us, I pray that that is a

sign that we start to care less what's happening in

this world.

But if it's someone that you know, then perhaps it's

a little bit different.

We can see someone on the street without food, begging

for food, and the first question that we can think

of in our head is this person legit or not?

Maybe he's working for someone. The money that I give

to him, perhaps the money he passed to anotherside. We

come with all all kinds of thoughts all kinds of conclusion. Now,

I'm not telling you to from this day forward head

that says the Lord, every beggar you see, you shall

give the money. I'm not saying that. I'm saying that

as you unpack the vision and be prayer fool, allow

the Holy Spirit to minister to you, because I believe

that as you ask sick and not, the Holy Spirit

would give you the wisdom in order for you to

do what he wants you to do. Amen, But do

not come and start forming your own conclusions, because a

lot of us do that. I myself included, yeah this

one without late one. Okay, the money give to him.

He's gonna gives the biggest syndicate and his powers all. Therefore,

I actually not give. None of that involved any prayer.

None of that involved any prayer. Did you know what

Jesus would do? I don't know. Ask himself this question,

what do Jesus do in the situation? Well, I know

from the scriptures Jesus met met needs. But he didn't

just meet needs. He met needs in alignment with the Father.

Because there was a period of time where he was

healing the sick, making lame walk, healing the death, making

the blind see. But there was a time when people

get it outside his house and he was nowhere to

be found because he retreated to the mountains early in

the morning because he was disturbed. And what did he do.

He went on to the next city because he knew

his purpose. So, friends and family, the question, the solution,

the answer is not always just meeting needs. The solution

is meeting needs that the Holy Spirit has brought you

to And how can you get there? Only to pray right,

only to drawing closer to him, only sue knowing his

heartbeat where he's leading you? Okay, So I pray that

as we reflect, right, if you are a walking Bible,

what are people reading about you? Men? So the next

part says, prepare as we unpacked this vision, right, there

is a preparation that we all need to have.

Yeah.

In twenty twenty, the vision was given. The team was

given an ex church and it started with the word purpose. Right,

and if you look at the word purpose, the slight

close off the engine. That our prayer to all of

us is that as you're listening, as you hear the vision,

you will press the start button rather than the stop button.

That's our prayer, right, that we will press on, press on,

not looking to the left or the right, but to

the author, perfector of our faith giving up. Let's remember

that at times the vision may sound big. Yeah, it

may sound big, And as you hear the vision very

very soon, you may go like, I tell you what

about us. It's about the Holy Spirit that works within us.

Everything that we hear that perhaps is too big for us,

let us always bring it back to the Holy Spirit

Scripture says.

Scripture says that he is able to do excellently, abundantly

above all that we can ask or think. That means

that if we take God's word, make it flesh, make

it real, He is able to do exceedingly. What's the word,

what's the meaning of word exceedingly mis far above what

we can even imagine, the greatest of the greatest that

we can imagine. He can do it because of the

power that leaves in us.

Start to prepare our hearts for the vision that we're

about to hear, let us not discount God. Let us

not put God in a box. And O God, you

can only move if so and so criterious are men.

No God can move. He will move. We've all without you.

A leader is actually someone who firstly needs to lead

him or herself. Now, I'm sure you agree with me

that nobody can force you to brush your teeth, right,

on your face. But if you don't move, you won't

move right. You need to take that step after step.

Did you know that? When I was growing up, I

always wonder to myself, actually, what's causing my leg to move?

I always think, is that moving?

Like what?

I don't know whether y'all have the same thought, But

I'm thinking, like, how am I actually moving? I'm moving

because I want to move, right, I'm moving because my

brain tells me to move. But it comes from me first, right,

it comes from me first. And that means that each

and every decision that we make is a decision that

we make.

Out of our own ability. Yeah.

That means that we need to lead ourselves. If the

Bible says flee, you fool uss. If the Bible says

flee from temptation, that means that the one that's doing

the fleeing, it's not the Holy Spirit. The one that's

doing the fleeing is not your leader. The one that's

doing your fleeing, it's not your husband. Stop looking to

your husband for everything. Yeah, wives and husbands, stop blaming

your wife for everything as well.

Stop it.

Stop blaming your children as well, because you are the

one that make the decision in the first place.

You know, it's in human nature.

If the moment he idam, the moment he was called guilty,

But God makes no mistakes. Miss, how you do question? Yeah,

maybe did God make a mistake? When I was younger,

I did question myself. I think God made a mistake.

I shouldn't be here on this stuff because I'm good

for nothing, done all the bad things in life, and

I don't deserve to be living. But God makes no mistakes,

and we know that, we know that for a fact,

because He's got right. So if God makes no mistakes,

let's ask a further question. Who has God given to us?

Who has God given to us our haddles, our homes,

our families, our communities? Are they by mistake? Are you

here this morning by mistake? Are you here this morning God?

Someone forced you to be? Yeah? Maybe perhaps, but even

there it's not a mistake. Will be a force to

be here because you need to hear something from the Lord,

and perhaps they will move in your life. But other

You know God has started preparing ex for a long

world of God, It's not just exclusive.

Yeah, I believe that many churches out there live to

please God as well.

That's what they aspire to do.

But we may be caught in a place and in

a situation where we go like I tell you what

I've heard it all.

I have been.

Disappointed by so many leaders around me, and I'm so

so not able and not wanting to even want to

draw remotely clothes to church or leadership ever again, because

you're so affected by the discouragements of the past, so

affected to a stage where perhaps you don't even want

to have anything to do with it anymore.

And there's the danger. Now.

I want to draw you to verse two, verse two.

Now, I don't know about how many of you, you

know what, how hard is it to wash your nets?

A while ago, a few days ago, my mom gave

me a strainer. Is two thous strainer. One is the

normal one. The other one is the one that you

w and you cook noodles. You actually put the noodles

design and you dip it inside and you.

It's so hard to take that one by one.

had a shower. You just want to go home. And

Take all the rubbish ready now? I don't know if

there's another thing that I just caught, this just fresh

out the ovener. Another thing from this scripture is that

there was a multitude that will press about him to

hear the word of God. Jesus decided to use this

boat as his platform. That means, when can you imagine

the multitude. Myself knew that this was a fisherman, that

this fisherman was toiling all night God nothing. He imagine

being in bitter shoes. Not only you want me to

cast my net out into the other side, but you're

asking me to do it in front of the multitude. Now,

I don't know you're catching this. Sometimes we may feel

that the whole world is against us, who is just

waiting to see us fail. But Jesus is interesting your breakthrough,

and your breakthrough will only come when you obey his word. Now,

imagine if Peter said, at your word, I shall not

cast down my nets, he will never have experienced this breakthrough.

He will never have experienced this miracle.

But yet, if he rely on his own understanding, his

own understanding is I've thought all night, I washed my nets.

I just want to go home. Just let me take

rubbish in our life. Some of us hearing this vision,

maybe feeling that it's a wasted exercise because you have

already tried, You already done it. You know, the same net. Friends,

it's not a different net. Jesus did not say, go

and get a different net from your father's house and

cast that net now, because the net is actually the problem. No,

the net wasn't a problem. And as he cast the

net down. You know the story. It is God who

adds daily to the church. Next to it is him

who draws the fish into the nets. It is our job.

What is our job. Our job is to launch it

out into the deep. Our job is to let down

the nets, to strengthen the nets. Actually, you can go

back to the slag, thank you, not just stick on

You know, sometimes we are having this idea about church,

about the faith.

are meant to be ready, ready to run, without any question,

up a little bit? And if your child really wants

to go and wants to be a part of it,

why not believe that the Holy Spirit is able to

do excellently, abundantly above what you can even ask or imagine.

Unchallenge each and everyone of us. Do not put God

in the box. Allow him to work in your life. Amen, amen, friends.

So in twenty twenty we celebrate our twentieth aniversity, a

clear vision for the next twenty years. It began with kingdom,

purpose and priority and a sure if you remember this,

for those of you there were there.

Yeah.

He started with this scripture says let your kingdom come,

that your will be done. She just taught us how

to pray. He started with this, and indeed this was

the priority. It was not give us this day our

daily brid He started with let your kingdom come and

let your will be done. The priority is God's priority.

God's priority is his kingdom to come and his will

to be done. So God declared Daniel as our vision

for the next twenty years, with Joseph being the vision

for the first twenty years. Joseph a church, a dream,

a church I went to a hotship, building and preparing storehouses,

preparing for famine, preparing for the days that are hit. Yeah,

You know, a church has ready to launch out into

the deep. A church that is ready to go. A

church is ready to dream big dreams and interpret dreams.

God has placed you, he wants you to feel it

with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. That

is essentially the vision. Now, is there a vision too

big for some of us? Because us we may feel so.

But again, if you feel there it's a bit too

much to be representing God. Wherever you go, shining is light,

shining is glory, then perhaps this is where you are.

Is seek the Holy Spirit to help us. Amen, ask

the Holy Spirit to come give us the boldness in

order to do what we cannot do. The booker says,

insert where you're at right, where at currently? Where where

you're at in your lives, your marketplaces? Where who what

God has given you? I hope you don't leave it blank.

I hope that you put in the practice.

Again, this book not cheap to print, but I hope

that you can really really put in the practice. Some

of you may not like write, like writing. It's okay,

putting in your tablets, putting your phones. But sometimes I

realize that when you write it down, it really helps her,

You see how everything just ties in together. And like us,

we also have to be reborn. We also have to

That is asked for us? We are asked to feel

the earth by what being fruitful and multiplying feel the earth,

Go therefore into all nations, baptizing them, making disciples. That

is what we are called to do. The great commission

is to make disciples. And you make disciples by being

fruitful and multiplying yourself. Amen, the love of Christ multiplied

through us. Haleelujah. That's the how. And number three is

the why is to have dominion. To be have dominion,

which is your influence over the fish of the sea,

the birds of the air, over every living thing that

moves on the earth.

How do we do that?

We take the truth, we apply the world of going

in our lives, returning the testimonies, so that all of

us will inspire to know God and lead others to

know God through His truth.

Shared through our testimonies.

That's how we can have dominion right over these earth

right we shared love of Jesus Christ. Then, eleventh thirty

two is one of my favorite scriptures. I have it

written in my Bible. It says that those who do

wickedly against the Covenant, he shall corrupt with flattery. But

the people who know their God shall be strong and

carry out great exploits. Friends and family, I pray that

you are blessed just hearing the vision. Of course, this

is just part one or six. There's still five more

sessions to go. I pray that you'll be ready to

listen and as we unpack the vision for them for

so that by the end of the six weeks series

you'll be able to say, I now clearly know what
