The title of a message today has to do with

the book a little bit, okay, and it's called the

Life Saving Station. So if you finish the book, you've

probably gone through that story. And we'll go to that

a little bit later. But please turn your bibles to

Luke chapter nineteen before we go that. We're gonna study

a little bit of God's word Luke chapter chapter nineteen. Okay,

experienced the same changes that occurred in the old. It

evolved into a club, and yet another life saving station

was founded. History continued to repeat itself, and if you

tell you, I really miss her food every time she

for homes and you were having a house and and

they're reaching out to Indonesian you know, Indonesian community, right,

I think basar's speaking anyway. But I'm like, when you say, okay,

we're here first, was it another gathering or was it

so that we can be a lighthouse to the people

in PJ. I remember the days when we were praying

and seeking God when we before planted. You know, I

think the same thing. You know, we prayed, we prayed,

we seek God before the churches planted, because we don't

know where we're gonna meet. We don't know how. We

just knew that got caught and we want to be faithful, right,

and we receive a word clearly where were you know,

like we pray together and then and then we ask

after we after we pray, ask so anybody heard from

the Lord? Anybody heard anything from a lord? And require

don't say anything right because don't know whether to say

correct or not right. And then some but they bona

say yeah, I think God is calling us to be

a lighthouse. Then our person confirmed it. Now there's one

more where you know, someone said, no, oh, we must

pray against the spirit of materialism here. Uh huh wow,

so strong, Ye're true. PJ is a very effluent place,

and sometimes the focus is dead more than anything else.

And then we also say, and the interesting thing is

when during that time or so, you know, when we

plant that church last time, and now it's the same,

I think camera student and we're gonna reach our camera student. Right,

so we're all young or you know, thinking about that.

Nothing about families much. Honestly we were young. Now differently

now extra chef matured, right, we think about every one. Okay,

now say we don't think about everyone now. And then

someone said, hey, we need to pray for the families

here because families will becoming them. Were like, hah, families,

but we're young church, you know where your families come.

Then later they came now and we actually had a

long young ki dots. I think about again, why we

start back to my homes? Why did we plan out? Yeah?

I was very comfortable with our homestore. I really missed

my homestone. Do you know that when we plan out,

I have to worship and play guitar? Yo? Alright, you

know why? Because I don't worship guitar. You know. Why

do you know that I can play guitar? Do you

know I don't do it? I don't know because I'm

not going at it right. I used to be nextreme,

but I don't do it. I don't offer myself as so,

but no choice. Who else can play? It was either

me or Michelle Limb and Michelle im just started why

because I teacher, see someone there not very good. You

can just imagine the quality of wasting your homes. Quality

is better. But no choice. Three leaders, see I remember

one camera student and three leaders are so I can

tell you the makeup of our homes. Me and my

wife Michelle. Three leaders, uh, the chemera student, both my kids.

My kids are not old kids are my kids are

young kids? A right? And of course one of the

reasons that hey, maybe when we plan them, we can

involve them and they can participate. And because before that,

a lot of people at homes they will just sit

there and read their book and whatever. You know. I

actually got each of them the Experience book and semi

forced them to bring to read. Okay, I said semi first,

because we want them to catch something. So when we're

doing when we're doing uh, the preadh roster, it's really

like music chair, you know, so who's doing what? You know?

Like that? And then we're like, how so it's just

like your chair with worship, It's like just us. And

then my wife askedally, she gotta worship me. So how

so it's me and so I have to do it

most of the time. Why God, Why? Why did we

start this thing? If I was in my own homes right,

I would be enjoying myself, you know, go back to

the why. So when I read this, I was start

kill God. And again, it's not to say that we

didn't try our best. We didn't. But then we're like, hey,

if we are going to do this to reach CAMPRA students,

then something's got to change, you know. So we met

recently and we said, let's do a few things. You know,

we ran for a while, but let's let's take it

up a notch, you know, not to say we're not

giving our best, but let's take it out a nuche.

Let's start planning early for homes. In fact, let's start

having teamatic homes. How You're like, thinking, what's that right?

For some who have been home zong enough, you've probably

heard this before, but maybe we've gone to old I

don't know, we away, but we will all align. No, Yeah,

we were like, yes, let's do it. Let's meet once

a month to discuss homes early right. In fact, like

I said, we planted out and we had no place,

you know, believing that the Lord will provide, but no place.

So in the end, my old homes, the hosts open

up the house on the following Friday. So every Friday

got homes. So my homes actually meet on the other Friday. Okay,

let me tell you that it feels weird because everybody

will have homes a day and we're like, so we're

gonna do and most people you will plan your other

activities in the non homes with career, no so excluded

idea why I'm having homes this week, you know. So

then we're like, let's try to align with the church.

So then we have our homes on a Thursday. Right,

And then I said, hey, we don't all burden the

host be got two days now back to back. I said,

let's gonna let's take this style of faith. Let's be

nomadic for a while. I'm using this word quite a lot,

meaning I'm gonna try to ask for the mercy and

the grace of anyone in PJ who can open up

their house one time for us, and then we just

go here and here and here and here and then

We're like, maybe it's good. So then the campus student

can meet people in church and all, but you want

to commeet the whole year, bila, but one time it

should be okay, right, I think? So we try to

And then we just had a meeting yesterday, you know,

to plan. Let me tell you this coming. We got homes, right,

we're gonna do homes on Thursday. Let me tell you

our team for the homes. Okay, we're gonna call these

homes dead homes. What's that dead homes? Small tea, apostrophe, hitch,

big h should be a big t because we're all

gonna wear funny hats. You're like, you're crazy funny hats.

What's the relation? Now? No relation? Just for fun on you, Okay.

And then our food team is going to be a

head team food. One idea is we make Piete look

like that, right, one idea. Okay, we got a few

more ideas, okay. And then the next homes, which is

on a twenty second or November, we're gonna do Selli

mark homes. Okay, Sili Max, you know those marks, white

color mark and then like best father best, so we're

gonna get the white marks everybody get a mark, and

we're gonna write a personalized message for a persona right

because we also got the Queen of Punts in our home,

so she will probably think about it, okay. And then

for the food, I've got ideality for the food. What

do you eating marks? Hot chocolate and mushmallow? Law uh?

And then and then we also have Meggie and Katma,

but we don't know Megia. We do Meghan and Ma,

but we don't do Meghan. Mark one run up the standard, right,

So I came out of the idea just me and

me camera foody, I said in state of the Maggie,

you know the Ajinomoto not so healthy? Right? Our broth

use Ramn Brola because I got the mix you know

from Donkey Ramayn Broth. And then web got Conimena. We

have a luncheon med sausage. You know, must have some veggie.

Then you can mix yourself. Right. See, you want to

come my homes right now? We were really having fun

planning for homes, right, and they were like, hey, let's

come out with the designers coming all these things. And

it has brought a different dynamic to Homestown a little bit.

And my New Friends is just three of us. And

and this is the interesting thing. As we were discussing okay,

my kids, as we were discussing one of the homes,

we had a funny idea which is like said, my there,

we thought, hey, can we do something with toilet paper? Okay,

you know what it's going right, And then someone came, hey,

then let's call the theme of the homes clean hand

for your heart. And then we're like, we have some

ideas of food that we think, no, it's gonna fly,

we'll go back to the driver ball on food cost

doll the paper at all. But my my, my youngest

son right now, he is somehow into toilet jokes. I

don't know why, maybe because it's tender. He really likes

toiler jokes. And then I say, hey, since you know

it's that team, I say, uh, why don't you chair

for us normally? He very like Then he like, hmmm, yeah,

I don't mind doing it just because it's toiler jokes.

I'm like, okay, one one thing or another thing. Can

we make it exciting? But see what is it for

just to have fun? Or is it because we are

live saving? I think that was a yeah, we'll have

this picture there for now. When I was thinking about

the life saving station, this is what came into my mind.

So what is this? This boat is what? This boat is?

Thirteen the tee? How many homes you have here? Six homes?

Let me see one, two, three, four, five, six seven?

So you plan one mola. So you know it's sometimes

very difficult for the big ship to move. But do

you know that homes can go and save a person.

It's easier for homes to come and save a person, right,

zero two, is it right? It's trying. I don't know why.

The guy is wearing a suit drowning and a briefcase

maybe drowning in Debla. Okay, I don't know. You know,

they're trying to save this guy, and they're trying to

save this guy. And all these other boats they are here,

are they like doing nothing? No, they're maybe they're resting,

maybe they're cheering. Right, And then this is you know,

when I give this example, I say this like PJLA.

You know, then we had two homes because I actually

know what is happening, So I give example, and then

I say, these my homes. My homes is going trying

to save Camber students in m So we are sent out,

but we go back. Of course we recuperate, we you know,

get more resources, and of course, because we can't be

out on our own, we have to go back to

the mothership, you know, and we think about extras as

a wholer. We got armadel ships different places. Right, but

can you see yourself there? And and okay, let me

give you this other thought. Some will probably feel yeah, baseven,

Sometimes I feel like I'm drowning. And yes, sometimes we

fall off the boat sometimes and again no fault own.

Sometimes we find ourselves here. Right, we're stuck, we're out

on the boat. We're going through a tough time. Hey, friends,

you got the whole ship that can come in and

save you because you're part of the crew. Ready, Yeah,

stop swimming, Oeila, swim to the butler. Someone might be

able to you know, you can call for help. But right,

but the other people that don't know, the other people

that are lost, the other people that don't know that

they have a church behind them. Do you think they'll

call for help? They won't because they don't know This

is another analogy I gave to my PJA group and

I was at BO and I shared these to them.

I'm not going to go through specific but you you

know what I'm talking about. Lah. There's a lot of

things happening in the news today right about school and

different things. Right. Let me tell you my firm belief

if the people surrounding these cases knew God and Christ

the way you and me know God, do you think

the outcome would be like that? Let me give you

this talk, so bring it out. Do you think the

outcome will be so drastic if they knew God the

way we knew God. Let us sing in for a moment.

When I heard those news, it just tells me that

my job has become extra important. It just tells me

that we need to work harder to save people because

people are literally dying out there because they don't know

Christ in their lives. That brings my job or my

purpose more urgency, you know, not less, No, not like

these people know. It brings more urgency because we know Christ. Yes,

we are going through yes, different ones, He are going

through trouble. Yes, I get it, I get it. I'm

not trying to give trib you anything right, and some

of you might even feel like, oh, I will have

done it myself. But if you know Jesus the way

I knew Jesus, you won't because you know God loves you,

You know that the family around loves you, and you

know that there's hope because He is a hoping glory. Amen.

My life is worth nothing to me unless I use

it for finishing the work assign me by the Lord Jesus,

the work of telling others the good news about the

wonderful grace of God. You don't need to be a

pastor to do this. You don't need to be an

evangelist to do this. You just need to bring them.

You just need to share them. I don't know why

do we work so hard to do Christmas? Why so

that there's a chance to share about God's grace to

people that don't know know the things we know? No,

But people out there there don't know. No, They have

no idea that there's this God out there that loves them. Luke,

Chapter five, verse one and nine. And I'll end with this, Luke,

chapter five, verse one to nine. Thing, are you guys okay?

It says yes. So it was as the multitude press

about him to hear the word of God. That he

stood by the lake of Gannessseret and saw two boats

standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone from them,

and they were washing their nets. Then he got into

one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked him

to put out a little from the land, and he

sat down and taught the multitude from the boat. When

he had stopped speaking, he said to Simon, launched out

into the deep, and let your let down. Your nets

will catch. But Simon answered and said, to it Master,

we have told all night and caught nothing. Nevertheless, at

your word, I will let down. And there how many

I'm know what I'm talking about. Nevertheless, at your word,

I will let down the net. When they had done this,

they caught a great number of fish and their net

was breaking, so they signaled to their partners in the

other boat to come and help them. And they came

and filled both the boats so that they began to sink.

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down and just

need saying, depart from me for him a sinful man

all on, for he and all who were with him

were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken.

Think about it, they have been fishermen all their lives.

At the word of this carpenter, they experienced the greatest okay,

if you know, bm the greatest catch in their lives. Right.

And so James and John, the sons of Rebedy, who

are partners with Simon and Jesus, said to Simon, do

not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.

I believe that Jesus wants thirteen thirty to launch out

into the deed, but there's a bad It would take

obedience and submission. I'm prepping a message on submission because

I recognize that submission is very powerful in the King

of God. But it's something that a lot of people don't.

It's not even agreement or submission, right. Why do I

say that you just read Did Simon Peter agree with Jesus.

He disagreed he had to say someone no. And do

you know that if you read the whole story of

Simon Peter all the way until Jesus went across, he

constantly disagree with Jesus all antila. Jesus say, hey, geim

Satan all antila, whah want to fight you know, want

to cut off the ear? Then I'll simon you again,

put back that year all the way until Jesus. I

will go with you forever. I will. I will pledge

my loyalty. Do you. I will do everything and just

say hello, you're gonna denign me three times? All do

it until that? No, these agree with Jesus all the time.

But submitting you see the power of that. You think

a lot of people agree Jesus. No, they all submitted

to him. They all submitted to him. There's power in submission,

not just agreement. Right, he will take obedience and submission.

But let me give you the kicker. When we take

that step of faith, it is going to be a

stele of faith. He is going to be a stele

of faith. Friends, I don't want to blaugh you it is.

You're not gonna know where you're going. You're not gonna

it was a stele of faith. Trolla probably have thinking

I'm not gonna catch anything. Oh a soft little faith. Right,

then we will experience God's hand in our lives because

God is pleased with faith where is from Hebrews eleven sixteen.

But without faith it is impossible to please him. For

he who comes to God must believe that He is

and that He is a rewarder of those who diligiently

seek him. So, friends, it's time to step out in

faith and not be fearful. It is also time to

obey the call of God and stop playing in the shadows.

What do I mean by that? Right, Well, you can

actually play in the shadows or not as believers. I

just come on Sunday to church and that's it. I

don't do anything more than that. I just do enough.

But when there's a challenge, when there's a push, when

you know the Holy Spirit is nudging your heart, nolah,

get someone else like right, and you see God still

loves you. Can I say that Godilla, you're not going

to be condemnal. That's the cool thing. But whether you

will be coming to a place where you're living a

fruit full life, there's another thing altogether. So you will

have salvation, but will you experience the fullness of what

God has for you? I'm not sure. I'm not gonna

say no, but I'm not sure. Right because God is

pleased with faith. So if you truly want to be

fruitful in your life, then obedience you need to obey

and submit and trust God. Trust God. No, not trust me,

you know, not trust the market. No, not trust your experience.

Trust God. Trust God. You gotta seek God mand you

gotta find out what is it. The thing about obedience

is you kind of got to know what God is

trying to tell you first, Corona. You can't just say okay,

I go and do whatever. No no, no, no, no,

no no. How is your relationship with Christ? And there's

something I share with explain this now sign A few

people may not fully understand this, but I think this.

the end of the day, right, friends, the reality is

you are responsible with your own faith. You cannot seccond

your faith to the church. You cannot say oh because

waning never and my heartedly. No, no, no, no no.

You are responsible to your own faith. I totally understand that,

and I totally get that right, and my responsible as

a pastor from my chest friand yes, to speak the

right things and to share. But ultimately, your own faith

is your self. On my faith is myself. My kids,

I'm very clear, they're not born in the Christian family.

It doesn't work that way. They have to receive Christ

on their own right. That's the reality. Okay. It's both

wonderful and scary, and it's a truth. That's why it

is so important for us as believer, us to understand

that and to take responsibility of faith because it's not

just our faith you have to take responsibility of, it's

also our own lives have to take responsibility of. There's

only so much you can do to blame your situation, right,

So I hope this gives you that clarity that if

there's anything in your life that you need to really

hold on to is your own faith. Yes. Would there

be things that will be more difficult, Yes, would there

be things that you need support? Yes, that is support.

That's the wonderful thing about being in the church. But

you got to not be, you know, bluff by the

devil to say that you can just succord it to

someone else. No, you can't right. Receiving Christ is your choice.

So if you were here and you think or consaying that,

oh I bonn a Christian family, maybe you need to

say a salvation prayer after this because you need to

receive Christ yourself. You cannot rely on someone else's faith

or so you've got to experience for yourself. That's the

cool thing. And there's a scripture in the Bible. My

last point which I will release to you is it

says not and the door be open to you. Ask

and you will get the answer. Seeck and you are fine.

I used to not understand that scripture until now because

all we need to do with God is us. That

is the unfair advantage you have, as believe. But someone cheers,

this are the unfair advantage as christen. He said, we

can pray. We can pray. That's wonderful. That's amazing that

we can pray, and we do not have to rely

on No, I must rely on the Holy Man. Come jo,

you pray for me? Then yeah, I receive it. Guys, Okay,

I know there's such thing, you know, and we joke

about it. But can I tell you that God wants you.

He doesn't need to work through another person. Know you

don't need to chase other after things. You know, you

just need to chase for him. You know, you chase

for him, you know. Okay, I hope this will set

something free in you. That's why the call today is

that launch out because ultimately the decision is yours alone

to make, whether you want to or not. Does God

still love you? Yes? Is it scary? Yes? But hey,

the encouragement is unswer the call. And again I'm not

even saying like, okay, come everybody, come now, we have

full time calling. I'm not saying that now. Let's not

be so shallow as seeing something you wear shadow when

you think that way. Not everybody is called for full time,

thank God. But everybody's called to self God. So what

is that one thing that maybe you have been holding

off that you don't want to do that you know

God is asking you do. Maybe you need to start

doing it. You'll catch that. What's that one small thing? Right?

Because God will be speaking to you even thru these

gods are speaking to you, right and of course in

the safety of a multity of counsel. Don't we just

go do things yourself. Talk to your home leader, talk

your hot leader. We have discipleship. We have on right

so that you are protected. Amen.
