  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. Okay, so what I'm going to do is I'm going

  4. to read Matthew chapter twenty four. And when I'm reading it,

  5. you were sort of realized why a lot of people

  6. preach Matthew Talb. I met you straight away. We go

  7. to twenty eight and say, go therefore and make disciples,

  8. halle lujah. But we also need to get through this partner,

  9. and it says this no. In I'm reading from the NLT.

  10. It's actually entitled Jesus speaks about the future.

  11. Wow.

  12. See Jesus, he's talking about it, and he says this

  13. thirty one verses Bury me.

  14. I'm going to read as quickly as I can.

  15. As Jesus was leaving the temple grounds, his disciples pointed

  16. out to him the various temple buildings, but he responded,

  17. do you see all these buildings? I tell you the truth,

  18. they will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be

  19. left on top of another. Later, Jesus said, on the

  20. Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately and say,

  21. tell us.

  22. When will all this happen?

  23. Body They want to know what sign will signal your

  24. return and the end of the world. And Jesus told them,

  25. don't let anyone mislead you, for many will come in

  26. my name claiming I am the Messiah. They will deceive many,

  27. and you will hear of wars and threads of wars.

  28. But don't panic.

  29. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won't

  30. follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, Kingdom

  31. will against kingdom. There will be femines and earthquakes in

  32. many parts of the world. But all this is only

  33. the first of the birth pains, with more to come.

  34. Verse nine.

  35. Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. How many

  36. of your go hallelujah to that, But that is what's

  37. going to happen.

  38. The scripture says.

  39. You will be hated all over the world because you

  40. are my followers. That's why I say this is a

  41. brilliant manual for discipleship, the Book of Matthew, the Gospel

  42. of Metheo okay, Verse ten. And many will turn away

  43. from me and betray and hate each other. And many

  44. false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin

  45. will be rampant everywhere and the love of many will

  46. grow cold.

  47. But the one who endures to the end will be save. Hallelujah.

  48. There's a promise right there.

  49. And the good news about the kingdom will be preached

  50. throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it,

  51. and then the end will come. The day is coming

  52. when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about

  53. the sec religious object that causes desecration haha, standing in

  54. the holy place and then in bracat it says reader,

  55. Pay attention, pay attention. Okay, then those in Judea must

  56. flee to the hills. A person out on the deck

  57. of a roof must not go down into the house

  58. to peck. A person out in the field must not

  59. return even to get a cold. How terrible it will

  60. be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days,

  61. And pray that your flight will not be in winter

  62. or on the sabba before. There will be greater anguish

  63. than at any time since the world begins, and it

  64. will never be so great again. In fact, unless that

  65. time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive.

  66. But it will be shortened for the sake of God's

  67. chosen ones, Hallelujah, Verse twenty three. Then if anyone tells

  68. you look, here is the Messiah, or there he is,

  69. don't believe it, for false messiahs and false prophets will

  70. rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as

  71. to deceive, if possible, even God's chosen ones.

  72. See I have warned you about this ahead of time.

  73. So if someone tells you, look, the Messiah is out

  74. in the desert, don't bother to go and look, or

  75. look he is hiding here.

  76. Don't believe it.

  77. For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines

  78. to the west, so it will be when the Sun

  79. of Man comes, just as the gathering of vouchers show

  80. there is a carcass nearby. So these signs indicate that

  81. the end is near. Immediately after the anguish of those days,

  82. the sun will be darkened, the moon will give no light,

  83. the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers

  84. in the heavens will be shaken. And then at last

  85. the sign that the Son of Man is coming will

  86. appear in the heavens, and that will be deep mourning

  87. among all the peoples of the earth, and they will

  88. see the Sun of men coming on the clouds of

  89. heaven with power and great glory. And he will send

  90. out his angels with the mighty blasts of a trumpet,

  91. and they will gather his chosen ones from all over

  92. the world, from the furthest ends to the air of

  93. the earth and heaven. The Lord bless the reading of

  94. his word. Okay, some things to take note as you

  95. are reading. As we read that, you will realize that

  96. the initial part is a long time coming, and it

  97. stretches a little bit towards the end. It's a shorter time.

  98. That means you will see things happening a lot quicker. Okay,

  99. just have that. I need you all to see timelines

  100. as well. Very important because a lot of us very

  101. very impatient. Know every time we're like, oh, Jesus come back,

  102. Jesus come back and go to a difficult time.

  103. Jesus come back.

  104. Be careful what we hope for and what we ask for,

  105. because there is a time, there is a place. So again,

  106. the future of the world is more frequently predicted than

  107. any other prophecies in the Bible.

  108. There's a lot.

  109. Jesus talks a lot about it in the scriptures hundreds

  110. of references of Jesus's return to the el So sometimes

  111. fitting it all together is like putting a jigsaw puzzle together,

  112. but it can be done, okay. But usually people always

  113. ask this question, what is the world coming to? That's

  114. what we always ask know when we look around, when

  115. we look at the environment, when we look at the

  116. deterioration and how society has degenerated and things are diminishing,

  117. we are always like, what has the world or what

  118. is this world coming to? That is not the question

  119. that Christians should be asking. The question that Christians should

  120. be asking is who is coming to the world. Who

  121. is coming to the world. That's what marks the end

  122. of it all for us, because you see, in theory,

  123. the Church gives Jesus writurn a lot of centrality and priority.

  124. Every Christian creed from the apostle tree to the nici

  125. cree to whatever creed you can find on Wikipedia. The

  126. early Church acknowledges that Jesus will return and they are

  127. actually looking forward to it, but in practice is actually

  128. quite neglected. In practice, we celebrate Christmas more because Christmas

  129. is a little bit more fun, because somehow the past

  130. and the present always seem more relevant and more important

  131. than the future. Okay, So his impending return, we only

  132. like go into the mode where when things are going

  133. very tough, that we like Jesus come home.

  134. Jesus come home.

  135. And as we say, let's do it's wishful thinking rather

  136. than really you want if Jesus really appears, go ya, no.

  137. Says coya. You're okay. So let's make.

  138. Sense of Jesus's return. That's what I want to help us, Okay,

  139. help us make sense of it. Don't just let it

  140. remain wishful thinking. Sometimes we say it I pray because

  141. the early Church had this prayer. It's called Mara nata.

  142. It just means long come. The early Church were already

  143. looking forward to it. So let's let's try to make

  144. sense of Jesus's written Let's answer some questions. And I'm

  145. going to answer a few questions today, not the five w's,

  146. but maybe that's four here.

  147. Okay.

  148. Firstly, we're going to go through who is coming? And

  149. of course you already know the answer, okay, but I

  150. would develop and I will elaborate the answer a little bit.

  151. Is Jesus is coming again? No one else who is coming?

  152. Is Jesus Where will he be returning to. I think

  153. it's important for us to know the place, how will

  154. the return look like. I think it's also important for

  155. us to be able to identify and then, of course,

  156. the one that we all want to.

  157. Know, when, When will he be coming?

  158. Okay, okay, still in me, let's talk with who who

  159. is coming back? Firstly, it must be emphasized that the

  160. divine Christ and the human Jesus are one and the

  161. same person. Okay, we have to establish the truth. The

  162. truth is he became a human and he keeps his

  163. resurrected body for the rest of eternity. Basically, Jesus has

  164. also retained his humanity because when Jesus returns, the scripture

  165. says that he will written in his resurrected body.

  166. He's not going to come back and exist as who.

  167. No, you will actually be able to see him.

  168. Amen.

  169. So actually it will be a perfect human being who

  170. will be in control of the whole universe. In fact,

  171. this perfect human being is already seated next to the

  172. right hand of the Father today and he will come

  173. back and regain control. Right now, we all know this

  174. world is under the control of the Prince of Darkness,

  175. but Jesus will come back and he will reclaim it. Yeah,

  176. but you also need to remember that Jesus was not

  177. always human being. Okay, he was not always in the

  178. human form. Indeed, he was not always Jesus. It was

  179. a name that was given to him when he was incarnated.

  180. That is what incarnation means God. Incarnate means God took

  181. the form of a human, and then only he took

  182. the body, and after that the.

  183. Name Jesus came.

  184. So Jesus actually, if you think about it, is the

  185. only person who has ever lived to choose to be born.

  186. No one else can make the choice that I decide

  187. to be born today. Cannot like your cannot. It has

  188. to be you know, your has to be Johanness and Caro.

  189. If they want to have a child, they have to

  190. decide the child. Can't say that I'm the one that

  191. decided that. No, no, no, no, that's all. You can

  192. always tell your kids, I meet you, and you better

  193. listen to me. Technically I am your creator at least

  194. for the time being. Better listen to the creator. Really

  195. establish a mathority in your family life. Okay, but okay,

  196. that's something else. He was the eternal son of God.

  197. The Lord of Glory, the Word. That's why in John

  198. one it says that in the beginning there was God,

  199. and then after it goes on to establish that there

  200. was also the Word, and the Word was with God,

  201. and the Word was God.

  202. Okay, so.

  203. We know that Jesus existed in the divine form, but

  204. in his embodied form, in his incarnate form, we must

  205. always face this one implication. And the implication is this,

  206. Jesus in flesh can only be in one place at

  207. one time on Earth. You see, even in his glorious

  208. resurrected body, Jesus could not be in different places at

  209. the same time. He was either in in Mouse, or

  210. he was in Jerusalem, or he was in Galilee. But

  211. he did manage to move around in some breakneck speed.

  212. Read the scriptures and you realize, I don't know how

  213. it happens, but I think I would really like my

  214. resurrected body because I'll be able to.

  215. I don't know.

  216. It's almost like be me up Scotty and they know

  217. we can tell itpot That's how I'm imagining. But what

  218. why should we limit our imagination? Because Jesus actually showed

  219. that he could be at different places very quickly. But

  220. it was never shown that he could be at different

  221. places at the same time. Okay, So if that is

  222. what be established, then therefore, when he returns to this earth,

  223. he can only come back to one geographical location.

  224. Question where will that be?

  225. Okay, let's go to the next question, where you see,

  226. if the return of Jesus is physical, then it must

  227. also be local. Jesus can't come back universally on SNAs

  228. we always like. Jesus is with us, where he's everywhere.

  229. You know, his universal the Holy Spirit is with universally

  230. Jesus right now. Where is he? He is now seated

  231. at the right hand of the Father. His spirit can

  232. be anywhere and everywhere, but his body must be somewhere.

  233. Okay, makes sense.

  234. Before he has sent that Jesus could never be at

  235. two places at once, and that is why he told

  236. his disciples it was for their good that he was

  237. leaving them and sending them a stand by. That is

  238. what the Holy Spirit, that's who the Holy Spirit is.

  239. The word or the description of the Holy Spirit is

  240. in Greek paraclectos, which simply just means the stand by,

  241. the person who is standing by you, the one who

  242. is going to be there by your side to be

  243. with you all the time. Because his promise was that

  244. he will be with them always. Okay, how in the

  245. world is he going to be with them always if

  246. he can't be at multiple places at the same time.

  247. And you know the believers were scattered x one. It

  248. tells us they will be scattered. But yet the promise

  249. that Jesus made is I will be with you always.

  250. And that's why he says I have to go in

  251. John chapter sixteen, because when I go, I will leave

  252. with you the Holy Spirit.

  253. Amen.

  254. And the Holy Spirit is the one that can be

  255. everywhere all the time. And the only way was for

  256. him to remove his physical body first, and that's why

  257. there is something called the ascension, which we all don't

  258. really celebrate in our church, but the more traditional churches

  259. will observe the day of Ascension because it's actually a

  260. very very important thing that happened, the sension, and then

  261. his physical body was replaced by an ever present, omnipresent

  262. spirit ten days later at Pentecost.

  263. Okay, that's what happened.

  264. And now some people will be like, hey, if Jesus

  265. would be written what what happened? Because sometimes we think

  266. Jesus means Holy Spirit will disappear. No, I think I

  267. believe Jesus. When Jesus come back, Holy Spirit will still

  268. be with us. He is the one that already sort

  269. had to He was like the fall guy, like the

  270. Holy Spirit. Seriously, that's why please never undermine the Holy

  271. spirits utimes. We always ignore the Holy Spirit. But he

  272. is the fall guy because he's the one that had

  273. to hang out with us for the longest time. Father

  274. God said, or this flir is all, okay, Jesus, you

  275. carry on, carry on. Jesus did all the hard work,

  276. and then Jesus said, okay, time for me to go.

  277. Holy Spirit, you carry on. Carry on. Holy Spirit has

  278. been on for a while, if you think about it.

  279. But yet we always forget that the Holy Spirit is

  280. who we have with us right now. Okay, So when

  281. Jesus comes back doesn't means the Holy Spirit. No, the

  282. Trinity will be one. We will be doubly blessed with

  283. the presence of Jesus and the Holy Spirit with us.

  284. I like to look at it from that point of view.

  285. But since his body, like ours, must always be a

  286. one point on the surface of the earth, his return

  287. means that his disciples will have to be gathered together

  288. from every part of the globe. That is my understanding

  289. of what the rapture will look like. That means we

  290. will all be gathered to welcome the return of Christ. Okay,

  291. some people believe rapture means go to heaven and end

  292. of story. Okay, I'll leave it to you. Okay, this

  293. is my understanding. And where will that be exactly? Well,

  294. it is the same place where the most important event

  295. in human history took place. When it's split time from

  296. BC to AD. It is from this city that he

  297. departed to return to his home in heaven, and it

  298. is to this city that he will return to from

  299. heaven is also known as the City of the Great Kings.

  300. This is Jerusalem. And that's why, until today what happens

  301. in the Middle East is still something that we take

  302. note off. There's a reason why we pray for the

  303. peace of Jerusalem. It's not something that we do in

  304. a wanton manner and fashion and just no. There's a

  305. reason because this is the place where our living Lord

  306. will return to Amen. How will he come next question?

  307. And we have to take note of this. His second

  308. coming will be like his first going unlike his first coming.

  309. That makes sense. First coming was wound, came in a

  310. baby form. Ain't nobody knew Jesus was coming. Actually everyone

  311. with only a few wise men, were trying to find him.

  312. That No, he's written will be like how he ascended,

  313. but technically in the reverse. So if Jesus went, the

  314. coming back is is I don't know, you're you're you're

  315. trying to imagine, trying to imagine, imagine, mean that that

  316. is what's going to happen. And everyone you'll know that

  317. he has come because when he left, people around him knew.

  318. But when he first came, no one knew.

  319. Was born in a manger in the dirty place, no

  320. one knew of his existence. But his written will be

  321. the most public event in the history of this world.

  322. Thousands of angels will accompany his return, is stated in

  323. Matthew twenty five Jude fourteen. It will be so noisy first,

  324. Thessalonian says, he's not going to be acquired. No, that's

  325. why we always say, when you praise and you worship God,

  326. let people know that you're praising and worship, because when

  327. he returns, you will know it's not going.

  328. To be like it is not.

  329. It's going to be noisy because people are going to

  330. be shouting and lifting up their voice, and it's going

  331. to be a powerful, powerful time. And that is when

  332. you know, the world probably last saw him crucified, but

  333. in the future they will see him crown and then

  334. at last, every knee will bow, every tongue confess that

  335. Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

  336. Amen.

  337. But when will he come? And how much longer do

  338. we have to wait? Is the question that we all

  339. ask when now, casey beler, Okay, the truth is no

  340. one knows except God himself, not even Jesus knows his

  341. father's cleandor will his coming be sudden and totally unexpected?

  342. The answer is yes, and no, Jesus could come back

  343. at any moment. So yeah, in that sense, it will

  344. be sudden, But there will be events preceding his written

  345. things that have to happen first, which are signs or signals.

  346. And this is what we are to take note off. Okay,

  347. So what are the signs of his coming? What are

  348. we watching for? What events should we take note of?

  349. That is what I just read in the Gospel of Matthew.

  350. Those are the signs. Those are the events. Those are

  351. Matthew actually has the clearest outline Matthew chapter twenty four,

  352. not even in Revelations. But you have to read it

  353. together to get a little bit more understanding. Okay, it's

  354. a four full framework. That means there are four things

  355. that you have to take note of. Okay, so let's

  356. we go to one by one. Okay, Sign one. Sign

  357. one is this. It's disasters in the world. I know,

  358. this is where we're like this doomsday message. Uh you know,

  359. Armor Gayden Apocker lips no atieve. When I was growing

  360. one my favorite shows was Armageddon. Who that's the show

  361. with the Aerosmith love song. Uh, you know, and when

  362. we think of armageddoner we always think, oh man, some

  363. astroid's gonna hit Earth and it's gonna, you know, send

  364. everyone to Smetherings. But okay, it's a little bit different here. Okay,

  365. it's a little bit different. But disasters in the world.

  366. Three things are mentioned quite clearly, walls, earthquakes, and famines.

  367. Okay.

  368. In true we are actually already witnessing and exponential increase

  369. in all these catastrophes and calamities.

  370. We actually see it, and you.

  371. Know, What is natural from this is that it will

  372. always spread alarm and insecurity amongst people. That is the truth,

  373. and people will therefore be looking to a savior to

  374. avert the tragedy. Everyone's going to look, Lord, get this,

  375. don't let this happen, don't let this happen. And this

  376. is where people will take the opportunity to pretend to

  377. be christ. That's why it keeps saying, Beware, beware, beware.

  378. You realize the number of cults there are right now,

  379. the number of false peatures that, yeah, it's just intense

  380. and insane in today's world. So disciples must therefore protect

  381. themselves from such deceptions by not allowing panic to make

  382. them vulnerable. I know the normal human reaction is to panic,

  383. but you've got to realize this. The only way we

  384. can avert all these things is our un understanding of

  385. catastrophes and disasters and calamities. We have to look at

  386. it differently from how the world looks and how.

  387. The world reacts.

  388. The world always looks at it as the end of

  389. all good things. Christians must always look at it as

  390. the beginning of better things ahead. The appropriate response is

  391. not alarm and anxiety. It is actually anticipation. A lot

  392. of times we are like, oh, say lo, you know

  393. the things that come out salom is diary die. You know,

  394. in our Manglish everything that is not bright and cheery

  395. is always doom and gloom, and the first response or

  396. reaction is die and die.

  397. But we have to look at it as there is home. Amen.

  398. The signs are clearly visible today. There has been, you know,

  399. multiple international conflicts since the world wars have taken multiple multiple.

  400. Earthquakes are actually doubling, tripling. I don't know.

  401. I'm not a geolog, but I think I have some

  402. app that keeps telling me that earthquakes around the world,

  403. and I'm telling you is frequent.

  404. It's frequent. Famine is wide.

  405. Sprain in the underdeveloped world is so widespread that science

  406. you wonder, you know, for famine to take place, it's insane. Okay,

  407. think about it this way. God really promised that he

  408. will never wipe away the human race. Who did he

  409. make this promise to?

  410. Noah?

  411. It was actually no, no, no, no, it's okay, it's okay,

  412. don't feel bad. Didn't you put you down?

  413. Okay? But Yolanda got it right.

  414. Okay, Ah, Noah, he made the promise to Noah that

  415. he will not wipe away the human race. Actually, one

  416. of the ways the white way human racer is is food.

  417. You take away all food. But what did he give them?

  418. He gives them a rainbow? What makes a rainbow? Water

  419. and light? We always have and like therefore we will

  420. always have produced. Therefore, Actually, every person in this world,

  421. whether it's an economy, it's a farmer, uh, a social worker,

  422. a comedy, they will tell you that there is enough

  423. food in this world to feed everyone. But yet millions

  424. die of hunger. Why something is fundamentally not right. This

  425. is not God's doing because here real say, I will

  426. never wipe away everyone. But this is human sin that

  427. has led us to this place where again greed you know,

  428. suttis we a mess? And we start we know those

  429. doomsday flowers are America got this cycoplast? We listen, there's

  430. this program my country, doomsday preppers. Ah, they create some

  431. bang underground and then they have enough supply to last

  432. them for the next twenty five years. In case the

  433. asteroid hits, we are holders by nature in state of

  434. people who share, So think about it. Famines should never happen,

  435. but it will happen. It is happening already. So how

  436. long will this state of affair continue? How much world?

  437. How much worse will it get? Actually we don't know.

  438. We can't tell. But this is the first sign it

  439. it is happening. The next sign is this, you will

  440. see people deserting the church if you think is it

  441. a because it will always start with this. It will

  442. always start with oppositions. There will be opposition in that

  443. followers of Jesus will be hated by all nations, which

  444. will then bring a corresponding increase of.

  445. Those who will die for their Christian faith.

  446. That's why it says that you will suffer, you'll be persecuted,

  447. and you will die for your faith. All around the

  448. world today we already see many Christians coming under immense

  449. pressure for their faith. Here in Malaysia, we have freedom

  450. and we have some level of liberty. So sometimes we

  451. think NOLA is not happening. It is happening. You know,

  452. those of you just came back from China. You think

  453. China can just who praise the Lord? Cannot just praise

  454. the Lord there? Or no, the church is actually under

  455. tremendous persecution in the Lord of these places. If it's

  456. not because there is a government that is persecuting you,

  457. then it will be society that is persecuting you. And

  458. that's the reality of it. The church is under today

  459. and that is the truth. All around the world, church

  460. just everywhere is so important for us to prepare our

  461. partners for pain and suffering. We can always stand there

  462. and preach the gospel or comfort. Everything is going to

  463. be okay because if you think about it, I'm a parent,

  464. I've got children as well, and you know what's a

  465. normal thing or if suffering is going to come, I

  466. don't think I want anything to do.

  467. With this, but this is the truth.

  468. How do we lead our families into the truth knowing

  469. that in the last days it's going to be trying

  470. and it's going to be challenged, But yet we have

  471. to hang on to it. And that is why you

  472. will actually see the number of believers reducing, because the

  473. pressure will quickly reveal the difference between.

  474. A genuine and a nominal Christian.

  475. There will be those who will struggle to remain faithful,

  476. that is the honest truth. But those who remain faithful

  477. and stay fast will also cause the church to expand

  478. because this is the very group that will be zealous.

  479. They will be bold, They will go out and they

  480. will preach Jesus even more confidently because they have seen

  481. and tasted that the Lord has good. No science, We

  482. sing songs. I've tasted that you have good. I tasted

  483. that you are good. Then after we will spit him out.

  484. If you taste it that the Lord is good, then

  485. he is good all the time regardless. Accompanying all these

  486. events will also be the increase in false profits. Who

  487. will preach peace when there is no peace. They will

  488. give you false assurance even when trouble is looming. Don't worry,

  489. bad times will never happen. I'm very scared to preach

  490. message like that one everything is going to be okay,

  491. everything comfortable. You give your life to Jesus, smooth sailing

  492. all the way, let yourselves and suntie all the way.

  493. That's not how it works. Really.

  494. Many Christians will be left unprepared if we take this approach,

  495. because there will be challenges. Some teachings will make light

  496. of sin in our lives. Do whatever you want.

  497. It's okay.

  498. God is ever forgiving, He will forgive you everything. Don't

  499. be fool and trapped by teachings like this. Yes, I

  500. never I will never undermine God's grace, but we should

  501. also never undermine God's grace by living us we like,

  502. because his forgiveness has nothing to do with our personal choices.

  503. One we still have to make those choices to do

  504. what is right. The sad thing is many will turn

  505. away from the faith and for many will grow cold.

  506. It's in the scriptures. I'm not making this up. Sign

  507. number three, and don't have to be quiet, don't have

  508. to like oh so so gloomy.

  509. It's the truth. We are leaving it.

  510. We are seeing it happening, and so I won't just

  511. leave y'all like that. Okay, there will be a our

  512. employ y'all to leave it right, Okay. The third sign

  513. is this, You'll see a figure arise in the Middle East.

  514. There will be a really bad person dictator.

  515. Okay. This is in verses fifteen to twenty eight.

  516. And the troubles that have always afflicted God's people will

  517. reach this climax.

  518. But this climax we tank God.

  519. In scriptures is actually a short even though it's a

  520. sharp crisis.

  521. But it's going to be short.

  522. The great tribulation is what you will hear sometimes in revelations.

  523. It's called the Great Tribulation. You can read it in

  524. Revelation seven. And Jesus actually spoke a lot about this

  525. being ultimate signs, the second last sign compared to the

  526. other tree. Okay, but he spoke about it in a

  527. slightly round but the scriptures as a little bit round

  528. about because he always based his warning on the phrase

  529. that is taken from Daniel, the abomination that causes desolation. Manly,

  530. you think about abomination that causes desolation? Basically, abomination is

  531. think of the snow man. Okay, abominable snowman yet tea,

  532. So yet it is a bad looking, ugly monster, and

  533. this monster is going to cause desolation. I'm trying to

  534. think of an English desolation is destruction, Okay, So the

  535. snow man that's going to bring destruction, Okay. Daniel was

  536. the best way to be descriptive. But Daniel was referring

  537. to a human conqueror who, in the very city where

  538. God had been honored, would provoke great mental and physical

  539. distress amongst God's people. And some scripture refers to this

  540. person as the antique crist All, the beast. Okay, you

  541. see that in one John or you see that in Revelations,

  542. But we know the period of time that the tribulation

  543. will take place. It's actually in Revelations, chapter twelve, verse forty,

  544. it says it will be for a time times and

  545. half a time. Actually what that means is actually one

  546. two hundred and sixty days. It's about a period of

  547. three and a half years. It's going to be a climax,

  548. a crisis that is intense, but mercifully brief, if compared

  549. to how long we've already been waiting for Jesus. You

  550. think about it. And all these will take place in Jerusalem.

  551. That is why Jesus advise all those living in Judea

  552. at the time to leave as quickly as possible, without

  553. even waiting to pack. They must not remain in the

  554. vicinity of this man, because this man is going to

  555. be so so cruel, And that's why it says if

  556. you are pregnant during that time, if it's during a saber,

  557. if it's during winter, it's going to be so trying.

  558. But again, the Lord's mercy be upon you. And it

  559. is likely that the Antichrist, together he's got a sidekick,

  560. another false profit, will set up almost like a totalitarian regime.

  561. I don't know how you want to look at it,

  562. but if you read revelations you can sort of make up.

  563. And this regime means that everyone must submit to his

  564. authority and then everyone will be branded with a mark.

  565. That's where the mark sixty sixty six comes from. That

  566. means everyone will be given a mark. And what does

  567. that mark allow you to do? Most likely, from my

  568. understanding of reading the scriptures, is going to either allow

  569. you to or not to be able to trade, to

  570. buy and sell. If you read revelations you actually see it.

  571. It's quite clear it's a trading thing. So whoever who

  572. has the mark, you can trade. Don't have the mark

  573. cannot trade. You know how challenging that is. Actually, we

  574. are already living in this world today. Think about it,

  575. and if you're touched and go, know what in Pasa

  576. Malama life is going to be a.

  577. Bit difficult, right.

  578. We are already using some things, but I think it's

  579. going to be even more obvious that you will know

  580. whether you are to submit to a particular mark in

  581. order for us to buy and sell. So again, let's

  582. be vigilant. It will be the greatest pressure followers of

  583. Jesus has ever known terribly fears, but mercifully brief.

  584. It's going to be fears. I don't know.

  585. Will we live to see that happen, I don't know,

  586. but a lot of people believe that it will be

  587. somewhere in this lifetime. Again, if they tell you the

  588. exact day, call them a liar, because no one knows exactly.

  589. But look out for the signs and the times. You know.

  590. The only one beautiful thing about us experiencing all this

  591. is technically we don't have to dieale, if you think

  592. about it, if Jesus comes back, we are.

  593. Be with him.

  594. That's my belief, Like, okay, that we will be taken

  595. up and then we will rule and reign with him

  596. for a thousand years. Okay, that's another story. Some people

  597. will be like, oh no, we won't rule with Jesus. Okay,

  598. never mind, don't worry. But if we if he's not

  599. within our lifetime and we have to, we have to

  600. face death flaw. So I don't know, wish on you

  601. prefer go through tribulation, And that's why a lot of

  602. people choose the we will be raptured. We don't have

  603. to go through them, and we don't have to go

  604. to tribulation. It's a popular belief, but can I just

  605. warn you that the belief that some churches derive these

  606. teachings from, it's really we want to almost reassure ourselves.

  607. I don't want to go through so much, but it

  608. can really change your entire perception on your faith, on

  609. how you carry about, how you look at evangelism. All

  610. these things can can alter your outlook one So just

  611. be a little bit careful. Don't just take care Okay.

  612. I lean towards this. I lean tow uds that. See

  613. how it is keeping you aligned to God's word in

  614. his entirety, very very important. Okay, I will not delve

  615. too deep into it, because, like I said, this has

  616. sort of split to just many ways. But just remember

  617. there will be many rumors that Christ has written. Believers

  618. will be told where they can find him. Don't listen

  619. to those rumors. They will see the sign that He

  620. has come eventually. Where they are at that time. Wherever

  621. you are at that time, you will see the sign.

  622. You will know it. And only those in Judea must

  623. leave the rest of the world. I think we will

  624. also go through very challenging times, but not as intense

  625. as right in the heart of the middle is. But

  626. again it can be measured in a short while. And

  627. then the fourth sign, it says this, it will follow

  628. immediately after the the stress of those days, so it

  629. becomes faster. It's not a long time coming. It's when

  630. it happens. You can almost anticipate that there will be

  631. no more delay. And the final sign is the one

  632. in which it will be very unmistakable, because all natural

  633. sources of light will be distinguished. Whatever the time of

  634. the day, it will look like nighttime. The nations will

  635. then see the lightning coming from the east and flashing

  636. to the west. I like to read things literally. Sometimes

  637. we're like, wow, lightning flashing to the east to the west.

  638. That we start imagine. No, I'll just he says, there

  639. will be no light. You'll be dark. Okay, take it

  640. as there's no light and it's dark. Then suddenly you

  641. see lightning. Rest to is Okila. Then get ready for

  642. Jesus to return. The believers who have waited so long

  643. for this day to arrive will know this was a

  644. call to the Lord's people together together, and that's when

  645. the faithful followers of Jesus will be forever united. I

  646. believe this is when the rapture takes place, and then

  647. we will all be brought We don't have to buy

  648. ticket to go to Jerusalem. We'll all be brought there. Okay,

  649. again my understanding. Don't take me on it. If you want,

  650. study revelations, study all the end time.

  651. Scriptures, whatever floats your boat. I'm fine. Why this is

  652. why we have to ask ourselves why are we talked so.

  653. Much about a second coming? There must be a reason.

  654. There must be a purpose, and I believe the purpose

  655. is practical. It is for us to be ready for

  656. Jesus's written our readiness. It's what is needed. You see,

  657. a revelation for the future is given to affect the present,

  658. not to satisfy mental curiosity, but to actually stimulate moral consistency.

  659. It's not for information. A lot of times are we

  660. will sit down, we will argue, we will debate, we

  661. will like no. It's supposed to be like no. It's

  662. supposedly this is how you read related all for information sakes,

  663. But ultimately, what does this get you? It is actually

  664. for incentive. The incentive is if we are ready and

  665. we live our lives right, we will see God's fullness,

  666. the fullness of God's grace and mercy in our lives.

  667. The only time we have to get ready for the

  668. future is the present. There's no other time for us

  669. to get ready for the future. To delay is to

  670. run the risk of being late. So how can we

  671. be ready for His written is the question that we

  672. have to ask ourselves? How can we be ready? Really,

  673. you can argue and argue, like I said, no, into

  674. the details, into how to interpret things. But if it's

  675. just to fulfill your moral curiosity, your mental curiosity, then

  676. just put it one side. Let's just all accept the

  677. fact that Jesus written. Okay, that's what we all stand.

  678. That's why the creeds, the apostles, create every church agree

  679. he will come back. Just cannot agree on the exact timing,

  680. on the how is going to happen, all those the details.

  681. Cannot really agree.

  682. But I can assure you all of us are supposed

  683. to live a morally consistent life. And then this knowledge

  684. that we have is really not just for information sake,

  685. because if it's just information, say it counts for nothing.

  686. But if you realize there.

  687. Is an incentive for you to live it right, and

  688. that incentive is that we will walk together with God

  689. and that He will see us and he will acknowledge us.

  690. I think that's something that's very, very important. So five

  691. ways for us to be ready for Christ written. I'm

  692. going to go to it quickly. The first thing is this,

  693. your individual faith is so important. Individual faith, not a

  694. borrowed faith, not the faith of my father, my mother,

  695. my pastor do you know. Sometimes I mean my children

  696. were born into well, sort of like a Christian household.

  697. I think many of us have been.

  698. I wasn't.

  699. I'm a first generation believer, and I thought to go

  700. to church. I thought to believe. Actually, and unless you

  701. fought to believe. Sometimes it's so easy for us to

  702. make everything so comfortable. And sometimes when people talk to

  703. me about no, we've got to make it easy for

  704. our children.

  705. Clide.

  706. Like again, I understand, I'm a parent as well. I

  707. want to make it easy for them to believe. But

  708. the thing is to carry on believing. It's not going

  709. to be easy. I'm going to be lying to Zech.

  710. If I tell you Zech, Everything's gonna be okay, no problem,

  711. do whatever you want. That's what the Christian faith teaches.

  712. That is not being honest. It's going to be challenging,

  713. and we need as believers to have our individual faith

  714. god men on this so that they will seek him

  715. and perhaps reach out for him and find him. All

  716. of us need to go through that journey. Very important

  717. individual faith. Second thing is our continual service. Faithful service

  718. is an essential ingredient in the readiness for the Lord's written.

  719. You know, I take my hands off to those who

  720. serve the Lord weak in Wiko, because that is what

  721. we are called to do to make sure that we

  722. continue to serve him. If you gread on in Matthew

  723. chapter twenty four, Jesus illustrates further in three parables, there's

  724. a household, there's a wedding, and there's commercial trading. Reading

  725. three parables, I can't remember the household exact, but they

  726. are all talking about well done, my good and faithful servant.

  727. What are you doing with what I have given you?

  728. What are you doing with the time when I have

  729. not arrived? The Lord essentially one servants who are both

  730. faithful and fruitful, both faithful and foodful. That's why the talents,

  731. that's the commercial trading. He gave five two and one

  732. five and two decided to go and multiply. The one

  733. with one decided to bury it. And while that one

  734. was faithful, but he was not fruitful. And the Lord

  735. frowned upon death. And so what he wants us to

  736. do really is to be both faithful and fruitful. All

  737. those the parable, the wedding parable is the five and

  738. the five what were they doing? Read it and you

  739. will see that there is an expectation for service. So

  740. when you serve the Lord, you're not just serving one another. Yes,

  741. you are also serving one another, but ultimately you're serving

  742. the lot. I know some days I look at Chester

  743. slapping the Cahn and it's like I feel his pain.

  744. I think either that or his hands that completely numbory.

  745. I think it's quite painfuler to slap the Kahan. It's

  746. not Ah. I know he holds judges hands well, probably

  747. cannoutfeel me. But you still serve the Lord. This is

  748. our privilege, privilege to serve him, so continual service. The

  749. third thing is personal holiness. You see, the Gospel is

  750. good news about holiness as well as forgiveness, and it

  751. is now possible to have since conquered as well as cancel.

  752. We always just look at sin has been canceled. Yes,

  753. when Jesus came, he overcame sin, cancel it out. But

  754. why do we still struggle to conquer it in our lives?

  755. It will be a constant struggle. It will be a

  756. constant challenge. Every day we have to decide, because every

  757. day the devil is.

  758. Gonna tempt us.

  759. If the devil tempted Jesus in Matthew chapter four, tempted

  760. Jesus in his flesh, tempted Jesus in terms of power

  761. being offered to him, tempted Jesus in terms of popularity.

  762. These are all the things that we will be tempted

  763. in in this world. Our flesh, our image, our pride, power,

  764. we will be given all these things. Are we able

  765. to overcome it? Are we able to conquer it? And

  766. I want you to know this personal holiness means that

  767. we are making the right choice.

  768. For God.

  769. Sin is not just canceled. Sin can be conquered in

  770. Christ Jesus. We have to keep on holding on to him.

  771. We must keep asking God, God, I need your holiness,

  772. not my holiness, not my righteousness, yours. And if we

  773. are really convinced that our future destiny is to be holy,

  774. this belief will be evidence in our present behavior. A

  775. lot of times. No, we like to leave holiness to

  776. later part in life. Okay, I want to be happy now,

  777. holy later in heaven.

  778. No choice. Have to be holy.

  779. One the scriptures, if you read it, is actually in

  780. the reverse, it's actually holy now, so you will be

  781. happy later. That means we have to set our lives apart.

  782. Now we have to start making right choices now. If

  783. we fall, wish we will as humans, then go to

  784. the Lord and confess, and he will cover, and he

  785. will help you to overcome. Keep doing it. Don't ever

  786. let the enemy lie to you and say that you

  787. keep doing it so you're weakling. You might as well

  788. just be numb to it and carry on. That is

  789. the lie of the enemy. Confession it is a powerful,

  790. powerful thing. Yes, we can keep falling, but I believe

  791. one day ultimately who has begun a good work in

  792. us will be faithful to complete it. Holiness, personal holiness

  793. is very very important.

  794. Four thing.

  795. It's communal fellowship. There's the reason why we come and

  796. meet in church. If you think I'm just fulfilling this

  797. weekly check list, no, come, hey ha, Actually I just

  798. come to see Joel on Hyperbundy mode. Communal fellowship. We

  799. are called chosen people, royal priesthood, a holy nation, a

  800. people belonging to God. I'm telling you this, there is

  801. safety in numbers. And as pressures on God's people continue

  802. to increase, it's not going to diminish, it's going to increase.

  803. It will be absolutely important that we stay together. Very

  804. very important for us to stay together. Communal fellowship. Look

  805. forward to it. Don't don't dread it, don't frown, don't

  806. drag my feet to church.

  807. Teach your children.

  808. You're going to teach your children that I love coming

  809. to church when you actually don't love coming to church

  810. in your actions. Look forward, look forward to it. I

  811. know it's not always easy. It's not always easy, but

  812. we can model it together. We can do it. Fifth

  813. is global evangelism. And he has been said that the

  814. Church is actually the only society on earth that exists

  815. primarily for its non members. You think about it, Yes, yes,

  816. I know those who are members or we will try

  817. to take you. Very important. That's called discipleship, very important.

  818. Discipleship is important. If the church stops discipling, basically we

  819. forgot about them, the partners and the members. We got

  820. to continue discipling. But together with discipleship is evangelism. If

  821. you take away one or the other, you get a

  822. lopsided church. You either get a church that is so

  823. inward looking that doesn't care about outside, or church that

  824. keeps going out and oh, come, come, come, But then

  825. you don't disciple people and then they don't stay. You

  826. need both evangelism and discipleship. But global evangelism will take

  827. place because if you think, but all four gospels conclue

  828. with a great commission Matthew twenty eight, Mark sixteen, Look

  829. twenty four, John twenty and through them to the church

  830. throughout time and space, because ultimately twelve at that time

  831. was eleven could not possibly complete the job themselves. It

  832. was a mandate given to all of them. The world

  833. mission is worldwide. On the mission is actually worldwide to

  834. the ends of the earth, and not until every corner

  835. of our planet has heard the good news. Then Jesus

  836. were written it's in the scriptures. That is why there

  837. is an effort today to go to the unreached people group.

  838. You're thinking, what this unreached people group?

  839. Now?

  840. Nothing else better to do with it. There's a reason

  841. why missions organizations, those of you whose parents or you yourself

  842. have been involving missions organizations. We are always talking about

  843. the unreached group, because this is a group that has

  844. not even hurt the gospel. But in today's day and age,

  845. we cannot say that there's anyone that we can't reach.

  846. Actually we can reach everyone. You don't want to go

  847. send the dronoes those maybe still can I don't know,

  848. drop some tracks on there. I don't know a lot,

  849. but it's possible, and we got to keep going. And

  850. so evangelism must never stop until the world it has

  851. been done, until the world will be done.

  852. Imen, I'm going to invite the banner. I'm done. You see.

  853. The real test of faithfulness is not how we behave

  854. if He's coming is imminent and enshuled, but how we build,

  855. how we behave if he.

  856. Is long time coming, If we know the exact time.

  857. I think there's the reason why Jesus or God did

  858. not give us the exact time. It's like, oh, twenty

  859. twenty five, you know, exact data that we all suntie

  860. all the way until right before.

  861. Yeah, we all ask many people I like you or not.

  862. He didn't give us the exact time and the exact day,

  863. because it is not how we behave. If he's coming

  864. is imminent. We all know he's coming, but how we

  865. behave if he is long time coming. See, he's not

  866. looking for us to have a panic reaction, but he's

  867. actually looking towards loyal service. I'm telling you today, loyalty

  868. is dead. It's dead. We are not loyal to our jobs.

  869. We are not loyal to our families. We are not

  870. loyal to the promises that we're made to each other.

  871. We're not loyal to our church. Loyalty is what the

  872. Lord is looking for. Faithfulness is loyalty. If you think

  873. about it, God's unending and undying love for us, it's

  874. actually loyalty. He doesn't want to panic and react. He

  875. wants us to be loyal and consistent. It is not

  876. what we are doing when he returns that matters so

  877. much as what we have been doing all the time

  878. while waiting for him. It's important. Again, I'm not here

  879. to put anyone out because I'm also learning. I know

  880. it's so hard to have a consistent behavior in the Lord.

  881. But is it impossible?

  882. No, it's not.

  883. We have got the spirit of God in us and

  884. with us. Are we drawing from his strength or are

  885. we just ignoring him.

  886. God's spirit in us.

  887. Is what's going to help us overcome and conquer the

  888. power of sin, which is going to be constantly at

  889. work in our lives. Yes, we are clear that the

  890. penalty of sin has already been eradicated. We won't die

  891. when we believe in Jesus, always clear on that. But

  892. the power of sin very hard because every day in operation,

  893. every day we ask the Holy Spirit give us strength

  894. to overcome the power of sin that is in our lives,

  895. because one day He will lead you to a place

  896. where even the presence of sin is going to be

  897. no longer, no longer, Amen, Matthew twenty four, Revelation six.

  898. You know, all these scriptures is basically to get us

  899. ready for the worst that can happen. And that's why

  900. the shortest prayer in the early Church was actually composed

  901. of those two Arabic words Mara nata. It just simply

  902. means Lord Come, Lord Come. Why were they so eager

  903. right from the first century, right from the first BC

  904. or no ad for Jesus to return one day because

  905. they knew that when he does, these are the things

  906. that will happen, Jesus will complete the good work he

  907. had begun with every believer hallelujah. They also knew that

  908. Jesus will fulfill his promises to his chosen people who

  909. continue to respond to him in faith. They knew that

  910. Jesus will ultimately conquer the devil and therefore conquer all evil,

  911. and therefore he will rule and reign and command this world.

  912. And then finally he will judge the ungodly when he returns.

  913. No longer will he return as a savior. He will

  914. come back as a judge. Question for earth now is

  915. are we ever ready?

  916. Disciples?

  917. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
