You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
Even as we unpacked the vision. All right, here we go.
-
So the reason why we are unpacking the vision is
-
because we are preparing for our team next year.
-
Anybody knows our team for next year?
-
Yes, Reviver okay or something along the lines of Reviver
-
okay and Revival in simple terms basically just means returning
-
to the way it was meant to be.
-
Okay.
-
I think Passa knnot give an anology one of the
-
videos that he was she shared here about you know,
-
like when the doctors say that they managed to revive
-
a person, you know, it's like bringing them back to life,
-
you know, or bringing them back to the state that
-
they were they used to be, you know. And so
-
that is one way in simple terms, that we can
-
look at Revival, which is coming back to the place
-
it was meant to be. Uh, you know, back to basics,
-
you know, back to how God intended it to be,
-
how it was meant to be and uh. And then's
-
why we need to bring the entire church on this series,
-
you know, because I would say that X Church is
-
not small in the sense of numbers anymore. We're about
-
a thousand plus in Malaysia alone. But we had many locations,
-
you know, and so we want to make sure every
-
single one of us in every of our locations, I
-
think about thirteen locations or so, that we are all
-
on the same page. Is that Okay, we're all on
-
the same page with one heart, one vision, one mind,
-
one spirit. Uh, that we are united even as we
-
go where the Lord is leading us.
-
Okay.
-
Hence, it's very important that we unpacked this vision so
-
that we are we can all be on the same page.
-
Okay, are you following me? All right?
-
So the reason we unpacked is to understand, okay. And
-
of course you can open your book. All of the
-
most of the things that I would say are in
-
your book, and there will be some blanks which you
-
will be able to fill up, uh, you know, blank
-
spaces that you can feel out.
-
Okay, all right, So we unpacked to understand. Okay.
-
So we unpacked the vision in in order for us
-
to understand.
-
And that is what unpacking is for, you know.
-
It's about breaking it down, making it simpler so that
-
everyone can understand and we will do our very best.
-
Okay. Uh, that is why we need to unpack.
-
And when we understand, Uh, it's not just for us
-
to tickle our ears, but it's so that we can undertake.
-
So that is three us for you unpack, to understand
-
and to understand, to undertake, or to to carry on
-
with it or to take on the responsibility.
-
You know.
-
And you know when when you unpack your your luggage
-
at home, let's say you're going where you went for
-
a trip and you got back home and you unpack
-
the luggage, you know there's a place for everything, right,
-
you know, your yourtology goes into your toilet. You know,
-
maybe I don't know if if you're if you have
-
a photo fame, it goes on to the wall.
-
Maybe your dirty clothes goes to the laundry.
-
There's a place for everything, right when you unpack your
-
your your things, right, they need to go somewhere. And
-
so for us, you know that there's a place for everything.
-
And the unpacking will leaders to seven things. Okay, they're
-
all in peace, okay, uh, and as they should be
-
on the screen, okay.
-
And so the unpacking were leaders to prayer. Okay. Prayer
-
comes first.
-
You know, we we seek the Lord the passion, purpose, practice,
-
prepare or you can call it preparation.
-
Uh. And plan, you know, plan or plans, imployer.
-
Uh. You know. So in the weeks to come, in
-
the months to come, you will here some strategies. You
-
will hear some numbers. Okay, don't be alarmed. Okay, don't
-
be afraid, you know, because God is with us.
-
Amen.
-
And uh, you know there's a same saying that if
-
we fail to plan, we plan to fail.
-
Okay.
-
So no, we don't want to fail, Okay, especially we
-
don't want to fail in the things of God. We
-
want to do well because God is with us, and
-
he gives us the power.
-
Amen.
-
He gives us power of the Holy Spirit to do
-
all that He has called us as a church to do.
-
If you believe it, say amen.
-
All right, okay, so let me begin with the first one,
-
which is prayer. And today I believe I'm coming just
-
the five piece because the other parts will come along
-
the weeks, now, okay, So let's begin with prayer. So
-
as we unpack, there may be things that we are
-
not fully clear yet. Okay, because as you know, when
-
God gives you know a direction, you know, if you
-
can see in the Bible. So when he led Abram,
-
he won't tell you everything exactly a to see because
-
sometimes when we hear it right, we'd be so scared
-
we say.
-
God, no, thank you. But you know what, we need prayer.
-
Because God take us step by step, and if there
-
is anything that is unclear, or if there's anything that
-
we have doubt, maybe seek the Lord for an answer.
-
Amen. That's what prayer is important.
-
And we need to constantly seek the Lord throughout the
-
sessions for every answer to the questions in our hearts.
-
And I believe even as we seek the Lord, he
-
will give us clarity.
-
Amen.
-
With every clarity comes confidence. With confidence, there will be courage.
-
So maybe some of us you know, I haven't even started,
-
maybe or a scard, but I pray that you will
-
be encourage. You know, you know, God is here with us,
-
and don't be afraid, don't be scared, don't don't be doubtful,
-
because we can.
-
We can always pray and we will seek the Lord
-
for direction. Amen.
-
So as we unpacked, we are going to start firstly
-
with the why. Okay, don't you agree with me that
-
it's very important to understand the why? Okay, the why Okay.
-
Why we do what we do and say what we
-
say very important? Okay, So let me begin with passion.
-
And passion is the word. Okay, Passion is the word. Okay,
-
follow me, Okay. A vision will never come to pass
-
if we don't have passion, okay, because we can start right,
-
but we won't be able to finish and go for
-
long or go far if we don't have passion in
-
our hearts.
-
Passion is what keeps us going, is what fans.
-
The flame gives us, Fire gives us excitement, you know,
-
and so many of us, your leaders and partners as well.
-
You have been serving the Lord, you know almost every week.
-
What drives you?
-
You know?
-
And I believe one of it is passion for the Lord.
-
And that is why we can do it every week.
-
We can week out of course we do it as
-
unto the Lord. But passion is the fire, the excitement
-
that keeps us going.
-
And a passion that we have is simple. Listen to this.
-
I believe, or we believe, that God only has the
-
best for all of you.
-
We believe it.
-
Say amen, God has only the best for all of us,
-
the best blessings, the best breakthroughs that He has for us.
-
In fact, he says in John ten ten that I've
-
come to give them life and life more abundantly, and
-
write that down John ten ten, I think another version says,
-
and give them life to the full. And so that
-
is what God desires for us and He wants for us.
-
And we truly believe that God has the best for
-
every one of you. See that here, John ten ten.
-
And our passion is also that you and I will
-
live our life to the full, or another way of
-
saying it is to the possibilities, to the possibilities, because
-
we want to see every possible thing that God has
-
plan for us come to pass in our lives. Don't
-
you want that God has great plans for us. He
-
has a future and hope for us. And He is
-
the God of the impossible. So even if you think
-
that you look at a plan and say, God, I
-
think it's too bigger, I think it's not possible for me.
-
I wanted you to know that in God it is possible.
-
He is a God of possibilities. God is the God
-
of the impossible. And so we want to see you
-
live your life to the full, to every possibility that
-
God has opened for you and for me and Mark.
-
Chapter nine, verse Trainy Tree says, all things are possible
-
to those who to those who believe. All things are
-
possible to those who believe. Amen, And so we believe.
-
That's our passion. We want to see the impossible done
-
in your life. Heavy break too. So the next question says,
-
do you desire a breakthrough life? You know, we don't
-
just want to believe, but we want to live it out.
-
We want to leave out the possibilities that God has
-
for us to discover the things of God and his kingdom,
-
because the Bible tells us in Matthew six thirty three,
-
to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness,
-
and all these things shall be added unto you. And
-
the Bible tells us that the secrets belong to those
-
who fear the Lord. Some twenty five fourteen, Some twenty
-
five fourteen. And so regardless of how all we become,
-
you know, we are aging. I have people that you know,
-
I'm growing older. All of us are growing older. But
-
I'm too young. And many of you here are also,
-
you know, of older and age, and I think majority
-
of you are younger than me. You know, so we're growing.
-
But the point is that we don't ever want to
-
stop growing.
-
Do you agree?
-
We don't ever want to stop growing, because regardless of
-
how old or how much we grow in our age,
-
we can always say, God, I believe there's so much more,
-
because you are the God of so much more.
-
There is more to come, There's greater days to come ahead. Amen.
-
And we must never grow over on the Lord, you know.
-
But we must continue to press on in the Lord
-
because there will always be more. And we don't ever
-
want to grow stagnant in our life, in a personal life,
-
or even in church. Don't ever stop growing, don't ever
-
stop learning. And that is our passion and desire for
-
every single one of you here that you will live
-
a victorious life because God has given us a break truth,
-
He has given us every blessing.
-
Amen. But then we realize.
-
That it's not just about living a life of possibilities,
-
but the real reason we do that is because we
-
want to please God. We want please God. God wants
-
this for you and for me, He wants every possibility.
-
But for us it is because we do it because
-
we want to please God and He has only the
-
best for us.
-
This is our purpose. We live to please God. Amen.
-
And that's the next point, which is purpose, the real
-
why behind what we do, which is the purpose. So
-
God wants this for you, He wants the best for you.
-
In fact, the Bible tells us taste and see that
-
the Lord is good. Taste and see that the Lord
-
is good Psalm chapter thirty four, verse eight. You know,
-
and God has great things to thought for us and policies.
-
I press on toward the goal for the price of
-
the upward call of God in Christ Jesus, Philippians three fourteen,
-
Philippins three fourteen.
-
So Paul knew.
-
Paul knew that there was so much more in starting God,
-
not just for the now, but even for the days
-
to come, for the future. But we don't have to
-
wait to taste heaven when you get there, because how
-
many of you know we can taste heaven here here
-
on earth. That's why we say God, that you will
-
be done here on earth as it is in heaven.
-
We want a little bit, a little taste of heaven
-
here on earth. And that's why we pray a man.
-
There's so much more that He has in stought for us.
-
And so the what is the passion, the why is
-
the purpose we do it because we want to please
-
my father and God has the best for us. In
-
three John chapter the third John, chapter one, verse two says, believed,
-
I pray that you may prosper in all things and
-
be in health just as your soul fast. But what
-
the wonderful verse and I declare it over you right now,
-
you know, Third John chapter one, verse two, Believe what
-
I pray, that you may prosper in all things and
-
be in health just as your soul purpose possible?
-
Say amen, amen? And so we've done the what.
-
I've covered the why, and the next part, which is
-
very important, is the how okay.
-
Because we want to practice. We want to do what
-
we learn. Amen.
-
We don't just want to be here what's of the word,
-
but we want to be doers of the world. And
-
so that's the practice, which is the how. Okay, So
-
let me read it.
-
First. Passion is the what.
-
Purpose is the why why we do what we do,
-
And the practice is the how.
-
Okay, what will you do with what you know and
-
what you hear? Okay? That's the practice.
-
And the best way I can think of is to
-
break it down, okay, is to.
-
Is to do it practically. Okay.
-
The practice of it by breaking it down. And number
-
one is by applying the word of God and the
-
promises of God in our lives.
-
Do you believe that apply the word of God?
-
Because the Word of God is alive, it is living,
-
it's active, sharpened any double a sword, and when you
-
apply it.
-
You're being transformation into your lives. Amen. Apply the word
-
of God, claim his promises. There are yes and Amen.
-
So it's not just about knowing the word in your mind,
-
in your heart, but it's practicing it, doing what you know,
-
what you heard from the Bible, what you memorize in
-
the Bible.
-
Amen.
-
Applying the word of God and the promises into our
-
life and from it you and I will get stories,
-
real life stories and testimonies that we'll be able to
-
share with others. And so if there was an equation
-
to it, this is what the equation will look like.
-
Truth E goals to testimony. Truth E goes to testimony
-
because when we know the truth, the Bible says, the
-
truth will set you free. Do you know that when
-
you know the truth, the truth will set you free.
-
So there has got to be transformation, and all the
-
truth that we know in our lives must turn and
-
be coming to testimonies in our life. Otherwise the truth
-
will just remain in your in your mind and it
-
will just be a truth, right, but it may not
-
do anything to your life. And that is why when
-
we apply the truth, of course, we need to first
-
know the truth and apply the truth in our life.
-
And then there will be testimony.
-
There will be a story, There will be an experienced
-
that you go to that you experience the truth to
-
be true.
-
Made it up? You experience the truth to be true?
-
You know? And then why you hear us sharing testimonies
-
in church?
-
You know? I I am glad to hear the testimony
-
of not too earlier and as well as the oh
-
the testimony on the on the screen just now, Eleine Elaine, right, yeah,
-
our prayer I can't remember the name, sorry, but yeah,
-
you know whereby we share the testimonies?
-
Because how do you know that your prayer works? Right?
-
We know it as a as a truth, right, But
-
when you share the testimony, it becomes alive a man,
-
it becomes alive. And the thing I love about testimony
-
is that it allows that miracle or that breakthrough to
-
be replicated.
-
Did you know that?
-
Do you know why because when someone comes up and
-
shares the testimony you and I, You or I may
-
have a similar situation. And as you hear the testimony,
-
fave is activated. You know, you see it happened. You
-
know that it's possible. Someone has tried it, you know,
-
and God came to for them. And then you say, Lord,
-
if you can do it for this brother or this sister.
-
You're the same God in the past, in the Bible
-
or two thousand years ago. You heal back then, you
-
still heal today, and you will still continue to heal.
-
And so you and I will exercise our faith and
-
then the miracle happens again. That's why I love it
-
when you share testimonies. A man, we should always share
-
our testimonies, and that's how our faith really comes alive,
-
the truth becomes reality in our lives. And so you know,
-
continue to ask a lot for fresh testimony, testimonies, you know,
-
because we don't want to keep only sharing testimonies of
-
you know, five years ago, ten years ago. Of course
-
they are great testimonies, right. God remembers them. And you know,
-
when the time of risers, we use the right testimony
-
to edify someone or to bless someone. But I pray
-
that you will continue to ask God to give me
-
a fresh testimony. You know, every week of the every week,
-
every month, every year, ask God for a fresh testimony.
-
Because God is alive. And as we continue to put
-
the word of God into application and the truth from
-
the Bible, it would turn into test timonies, it would
-
turn into testimonies. So do we kept what is the passion?
-
Why is the purpose? How is the practice? So whenever
-
people ask us or you know, the way how train
-
our preachers is that whenever we preach on the word
-
of God, we will always give you practical application, you know,
-
because it is true that the word of God can
-
be practiced. And we want to moderate out in our
-
lives every day of our lives. And so our mission
-
and our motto the slide will say, our mission and
-
our motto is helping people believe. Everybody say helping people believe.
-
Come on, may we as extra help people believe. And
-
it could be just happening to believe a little bit more,
-
or maybe they have not believed at all, Maybe happen
-
to believe just a little bit more, you know, just
-
a little bit closer to the Lord. Maybe they've already believed,
-
But we can happen to believe more, can we We
-
can do that and that's what we're called to do.
-
You know, we can never transform another person. We can
-
never convert another person. Our part is to help them
-
to believe. And it's the work of the Holy Spirit
-
that were transformed their hearts and their minds, because that
-
is the work of the Holy Spirit. Our part to
-
play is to help people to believe. And how do
-
we do it by sharing practical truths from the Bible.
-
There you go and coming back to the practical part
-
of it again, tell them your real life stories and testimonies.
-
And I believe every single person here has a story
-
to tell. You have a story to tell of how
-
you came to know the Lord. You know, we call
-
it a salvation story. You may have a story of
-
how you overcame your studies, how you got a job,
-
how the Lord healed your mom, your dad, how the
-
Lord heal you. You know, how the Lord brought your
-
family into salvation. So everyone of us have a story.
-
And I want to say, you know that story is
-
your own right, is God's work in your life, and
-
it is the Word of God made flesh. You know,
-
because the Bible tells us that Jesus is the Word
-
made flesh.
-
That's what the Bible tells us.
-
But how many of you know that you and I
-
we also have an opportunity to be the Word of
-
God made flesh in a sense, whereby what I mean
-
by that is that sometimes your friends may never open
-
the Bible to read it. They may never read the Bible.
-
But when they see your life, when they read your life,
-
when they hear your words that you speak, when they
-
see how you react to things, in some sense, they
-
are reading your life and the Word made flesh. And
-
so every single one o us here today have an
-
opportunity to bring the reality of God and the Word
-
of God to our friends, our families, our marketplace, to
-
people in our neighborhood around us, because you may be
-
the only walking Bible that someone may read. And perhaps
-
after they read your life, they will be willing to
-
read your Bible. I pray they will be after they
-
see your life.
-
Amen.
-
So remember, our lives may be a living testimony, a
-
walking miracle of God's goodness, God's faithfulness, his love for
-
you and for me. So every testimony has got to
-
be powerful. Few more peace powerful personal and practical. Every
-
test something it's got to be powerful because God is
-
involved in it. God's work in your life, God's hand,
-
his miracle, He's break too, at work in your life.
-
It's got to be powerful. It's got to be personal.
-
That's why I encourage you to have your own story,
-
because it's different when we tell a story of another person. Right,
-
of course, it's powerful. It's still a miracle, it's still
-
a testimony. But it's different when it's your own story.
-
It's personal because people can argue about theology with you,
-
but they can never argue about your personal story unless
-
you're lying love, you know, wish that's within you and God, right,
-
but they can't argue with your story. It's your encounter,
-
your personal story with the Lord. It's got to be personal,
-
and everyone of us must desire to have a personal testimony.
-
It's got to be practical. It's got to be practical.
-
When you share your story, someone is able to listen
-
to it and their faith is activated, and that they
-
will also glorified the Lord, and they also put their
-
faith to the test. They will apply what they hear
-
from the word of God and from your testimony. So remember,
-
if I am a reflection of walking by What are
-
people reading about me? That's what the question in your
-
book says, and you can write that on your own.
-
I don't have an answer for you, because that is
-
about you, right, it's me. It's your personal story.
-
Amen. Are you okay? So far? Are you following me
-
so far? All right?
-
Now let's go to the next peek, which is prepared
-
or another way I can say is preparation. So as
-
you know, if as we hear the vision, there needs
-
to be preparation, right, There need to be preparation of
-
our heart, preparation of our minds, you know, our trying,
-
our will so that we can fulfill the vision that
-
God has given to us. And today we are focusing
-
mainly on the vision, okay.
-
On the vision. Vision is what you see, okay.
-
And in the weeks to come we will hear more things,
-
and next week you will here on the mission. Mission
-
is what you do, okay, what you do. Vision is
-
what you what you see.
-
Okay.
-
So today we're covering on a vision path, okay. So
-
as you continue to shaw the vision, there needs to
-
be a preparation okay. And on the screen you will
-
see a sign okay, or you know, on a book,
-
so they should be the sign there. And this is
-
a sign of a button, you know. Let me ask
-
you a question. Is this button the start or the stop?
-
Start? Oh?
-
Wow? Okay, I like your answer. I like your optimism.
-
The button is the start. But did you know that
-
I have this button in my car and it is
-
both a start and a stop button.
-
Okay?
-
Okay, So I like the optimism, and I say what
-
button is it? You say, start, praise the Lord. Okay,
-
so maybe all click the start button okay, not the
-
stop button, even though on my car is a start
-
slash stop.
-
Okay. So the point.
-
Is that this button is it's a start or a
-
stop button. And the thing about unpacking a vision is
-
that you know, as we unpacked, right, some of us
-
will be excited to say, let's go, bastard. Come on,
-
I'm ready to conquer the world. I'm ready to serve
-
the Lord. I'm ready to be used by the Lord.
-
I'll click the start button. But there may be one
-
or two of us that may press the opposite, which
-
is a stop button, because after you hear it, maybe
-
you're afraid. Maybe you say, look, God, I don't want this.
-
I don't want to be out of it on no way,
-
But I pray today, come on that every single one
-
of us were pressed the start button. Come on, we
-
pressed the start button instead of the stop button. So
-
even as we hear today the vision made the spirit
-
give us strength and grace. You know, the Bible says
-
those who have ears, maybe hear what the spirit of
-
the lot is saying to you and to me, to
-
us a man. So the question is are you pressing
-
the start or the stop button? As you hear the
-
vision of X, press the start button and not the
-
stop even though it's the same button. Let us hear
-
what the spirit of the lot is saying to us.
-
And so the next slide will say who is a leader?
-
Now?
-
The reason why there's this question is because as we
-
are unpacking the vision, some of you here that here
-
made think in your mind that look past it sounds
-
like whatever I'm sharing right is for leaders or for partners.
-
Maybe I'm you know, I'm new here.
-
I maybe I don't believe it in a vision it
-
sounds like it's just for the leaders I wound.
-
Let you know, the question is who is a leader? Right?
-
Did you know that all of us here are leaders
-
in one way or another, because what is a leader.
-
A leader is actually a person who first leads himself
-
or herself before they lead others. Now, suddenly everyone who
-
has sound like leaders. Right, Because in order for you
-
to come to churche today, you had to lead your
-
body to wake up from your annoying alarm, get out
-
of your bait and make it the choice today? Right,
-
So you had to make a choice, You had to
-
make a decision. You had to lead your heart, your mind,
-
your body, your soul. So, in one way or another,
-
all of us here are leaders. Everyone can be a leader.
-
The statement says, you know, so whatever they were sharing today,
-
it's not just for leaders. But I want to say,
-
I want to say to you, think of yourself as
-
a leader. You know, you may not be leading others
-
behind you around you, but you are first leading yourself.
-
Come on, we're first leading ourselves, and eventually you will
-
get a chance and our desires that you will also
-
lead others. That's called making disciples. Amen, Being a disciple
-
and also making disciples by discipling others.
-
But all of us can lead ourselves first. Amen.
-
All right, So let's do a quick devotion. God makes
-
no mistakes. If you believe it, say amen, God makes
-
no mistakes. And so if God makes no mistakes, that
-
will mean the question is who has God given to
-
you or to us? You know? Why do you think
-
He's given us him, her, or them, whichever capacity you're
-
serving in, you know, And so we really believe that
-
God makes no mistakes. There is no coincidence even every
-
single person of you sitting here. You're here for a reason.
-
God has a plan, you know, He has ordained or
-
allowed you to be here. He's not a coincidence. The
-
friend invited you, So no one hears by coincidence. Even
-
those who came and have left, they are also not
-
a coincidence because it is your choice. It's their own decision.
-
But God makes no mistakes. So I believe that everyone
-
in your homes, everyone in your family, everyone in your classroom,
-
everyone in your workplace, in your office, in your neighborhood
-
is not by accident. So ask the question, who has
-
God given to you? Who has God given to me?
-
And what has He called us to do with who
-
He has put in our lives? Because it's no accident.
-
Remember it's not accident. You could be the only one
-
they could reach your family, You could be the only
-
one they could reach a friend.
-
What are you doing about it? And so as a church,
-
we believe that.
-
Not a single one of you here are here by accident,
-
and our job is to give you our best so
-
that we can draw out the best.
-
From each and every one of you. Really, that's our
-
hearts desire.
-
There's a passion to see the best in every single
-
one of you see here this morning. And this is
-
why you often hear us push you a little bit,
-
you know, when people tell us, you know what, I
-
can't serve in homes or I can't serve in church,
-
or I can't make it a Sunday. I believe and
-
I hope that my leaders will always tell you, come on,
-
you can do it. Don't skip chures on your exam times,
-
because the know the Lord will honor you. And I
-
remember still seeing Caleb when he was having his expim
-
he came to church, you know, And so we get
-
honor the Lord, and so our desires to draw the
-
best in you, and so their days that we will
-
challenge you, and I pray you won't be offended, you know,
-
because we want to draw out the best from you
-
that God has installed for you and for me.
-
Amen.
-
So there's a question there, what is the best that
-
you can bring to bring out the best in him
-
or her or them in whichever capacity that you are
-
serving in the Lord.
-
Amen.
-
And so God is at work in X. He is
-
in the midst of preparing X. I call it God's
-
preparation work in X. And so the slide was saying
-
God has been consistently and faithfully at work to make
-
EX church pandemic of persecution equipped for the past ten years.
-
I really believe that now because I've been in the
-
ex for more than ten years, I think about fourteen
-
or fifteen years and counting, by the grace of God.
-
And if you've been an AX long enough, you will
-
know that we have this thing called the worship at homes.
-
Can I see a shure hence harmony of you have
-
been to worship at homes?
-
Let me see your hands, see let me your okay okay,
-
raised high? Okay. Wow. So there's actually more than half
-
of you.
-
So at least at least fifty percent of words, yere
-
already you know, persecution and pandemic proof or we are equipped,
-
we are ready.
-
And that is what a lot is bepatn us.
-
You know our church was so it is small in
-
the sense of the numbers, right, but they'll all say,
-
go smaller, go through the numbers of tens, fifteen's in
-
the houses. And so we do this every year. We
-
call it a fire drill. Okay, So if you've been
-
an around you will hear us explain this ten times already. Okay,
-
I think I've explained it one hundred times. It's called
-
a fire drill. And you know you have fire drill, right,
-
Sometimes we will do fire you you feel like it's useless,
-
heav You know, I did a fire due in my office, right,
-
and I'm like, oh again, why must we practice this
-
fire duil? But you know what, the fire drill is
-
only important right when the emergency happens, right, And when
-
the emergency happens, you know what to do, right, because
-
if that was the first time the emergency happened and
-
you never practiced it, we were panning, we were penning.
-
There's another people you we're penning. So that's what the
-
purpose of a fire due is. And so when actually
-
did this, you know, worship at homes for every year
-
we will do it at least once or some years
-
we did it twice.
-
Some years we did it three times.
-
Whereby we will close our Sunday worship set survey setting,
-
and we will go into the homes you know, or
-
the small groups to do our worship. And they're so
-
powerful because instead of one preacher standing in front here,
-
suddenly in some money, we've got six features because there's
-
six diven homes. And you know we have we have
-
about eighty homes in actions. I think about seventy seven.
-
But the numbers keep changing. It becomes more and more
-
and less and more and less. I lost count how
-
many numbers, but it's almost eighty homes. Can you imagine
-
for the Sunday that eighty preachers. That is why when
-
the pandemic hit.
-
We were ready. We were ready.
-
God knew even before the pandemic hit. You know, we
-
didn't know that the pandemic will come. Of course, the
-
Bible does tell us that pastidients will come. But you know,
-
when you know, we were preparing for persecution when pandemic came.
-
But yet I must say we were prepared because of
-
God's preparation work in the actions.
-
If you believe it, say amen.
-
So not just pandemic proof, not just persecution ready, but
-
also poverty ready. What I mean by that is that
-
not that we will be poor. But you know, when
-
the pandemic hit, the nation went down in the sense
-
of economy. Businesses shut down, people needed help. There was
-
eight they needed to be going around. And what I
-
mean by poverty ready in a sense where by God
-
would bless us enough and put enough blessing in our
-
storehouses so that we'll be able to meet the needs
-
of those around us. And so even during the pandemic
-
we went out to help those in need. God will
-
continue to provide for us. We will continue to give
-
unto the Lord and unto others as God continues to
-
give unto us, because it is more blessed to give
-
than to receive.
-
Amen.
-
God is Jehovah driver, God our provider. You know, poverty
-
not in the sense of money only, but also in spirit.
-
Sometimes we can be poor in spirit. Sometimes we can
-
be poor in the Word of God. And so I
-
want to say to you, all of us extras, let
-
us continue to be equipped with the Word of God.
-
Let us contu to strengthen our spirit, feed our spirit
-
with the Word of.
-
God with faith.
-
So that when the times of testing come, you and
-
I were then strong as a church. Whatever that happens,
-
we will continue to focus on the law and the
-
author and finish it of our faith.
-
Amen.
-
God has been preparing us and he will continue to
-
prepare us for the years to come.
-
I've got to run running out of time, okay.
-
So God is calling us to prepare, just like how
-
uh John the Baptist, I sf you know John the
-
Baptist was called you know, he was sent ahead of
-
Jesus to prepare the way of the Lord for the
-
coming of the Messiah. So God is preparing us. You
-
and I need to need to prepare just like Noah
-
and they are. You know, even though Noah has not
-
seen I don't know seen rain or for a long time,
-
or maybe he has. I'm sure he's not seen the
-
arc that size, but God gave him specific instructions. People
-
thought he was crazy, but yet Noah believed, he trusted
-
the Lord. He did preparation as God instructed him. And
-
so sometimes we may not have seen something that's yet
-
to come, that does not mean that we don't prepare
-
for it. That's exactly what a fire you is for
-
you prepare for the uncertainty or for emergency, even though
-
you have not seen it, but you prepare for it.
-
So God is calling us to prepare, just like Peter
-
and the miraculous catch. You know, Peter said, we have
-
toiled all night. We've done all we could, you know,
-
but we've caught nothing. And so sometimes you and I
-
can be in a place of discouragement of the past.
-
We've done everything we could. God, I given him my best.
-
We have tall all.
-
Night, Peter said.
-
But after that he said this, nevertheless, at your word, nevertheless,
-
at your word. So Peter Obeth, even though he and
-
the discipers are told all night and the Bible, she
-
tells us they're washing the washing the nets, know, and
-
you know it's not easy to wash nets, because he's
-
not washing his nets are with fish in the nets.
-
You know, he's probably washing his nets with rubbish in
-
the nets because you know you will catch shells and
-
every other thing, you know, a CV whatever it is,
-
you know, to pick up the CV. You know, it's
-
not easy to wash nets, you know. And he must
-
be thinking, Jesus, I'm washing it. It's probably clean by now.
-
But God is saying, yes, with the clean nets would
-
give you a mimickle, you know, he's And then Peters saying,
-
you know, it's not time to fish, it's not the
-
right time. I'm good at this. He's a fisherman. But
-
it's not about the time to fish. Listen, it's and
-
it's about God's time. It's about God's time. When it's
-
God's time, even the impossible world be possible to those
-
who believe. Nevertheless, at your word.
-
Peter said, and he let down his net for a catch.
-
And so I want to say to us, it is
-
God who adds daily to the church.
-
You know the subscription the Bible that tells us, unless
-
the Lord builds a house, the laborers, the labor in vain.
-
And that's why we pray. That's why we ask of
-
the Lord. That's why we seek the Lord. You know,
-
at the time of the Pentacost, you know, in the
-
Bible and the extra too, I think you know, it
-
says that the Lord added daily to the church, you know,
-
those who are being saved. I think also says they
-
know he added how many thousand there I can't remember
-
it exact suddenly, but he added to the church. It
-
is God who adds to the church. Those who are
-
being saved. And so he's the one that drew the
-
fish into the nets, not the disciples. But it is God,
-
it is He is the one who did it, did
-
the miracle. By your job and my job. Our job
-
is to launch out into the deep. That's what Jesus
-
asked Peter to do, launch out into the deep and
-
let down the nets for a catch.
-
And when he.
-
Obeyed the Lord, the catch was so big that the
-
nets began to break. So the third point is strengthened
-
the nets, the nets for breaking. And it can mean
-
our attitude, it can mean our spirit, it can mean
-
our faith. That is what we need to strengthen because
-
God has going to bring us a big harvest. But
-
we believe it. Say, Amen, He's going to bring us harvest.
-
But we need to be prepared because if we are
-
not prepared, sometimes even the blessing of God can sink.
-
You know, That's what happened to the story, right, It
-
was the next not the next fish was so much
-
that the boats began to sink. So we don't want
-
to sing and go and not allow us to sink.
-
But he wants us to prepare, to be prepared. Amen,
-
and latne the boats ready the partners. That's what Peter
-
did he call his partners. I think it was James
-
and John, come and help. So every single one of
-
you that are called partners of extras, we need to
-
be ready for what God has in start for us.
-
Amen. Isaiah fifty four, verse two.
-
The three says, and large the place of your tent,
-
Come on and larne, let them stretch out the curtains
-
of your dwellings. Do not spare lengthen your cords. Can
-
you see all these words? Do not spare lengthen your cords,
-
and strengthen your sticks, for you shall expand. Come on,
-
you shall expand to the right and to the left,
-
and your descendants will inherit the nations and make the
-
desolate cities inhabitant. Come on, This is our part to do,
-
and God will bring the harvest. That's his part. Our
-
part is to obedient, to be obedient, to be ready,
-
to allow the lot to prepare us, so when the
-
time comes, we will be ready for the revival of God.
-
Amen.
-
And so the next part is very important. It's called
-
a vision of ex church. Now, if you've been in
-
Excich long enough, you would have seen these table or
-
this diagram. Okay, for the first twenty years, the Lord
-
has called us to be a Joseph church. Twenty years
-
are from year two thousand when we were founded and
-
to year twenty twenty.
-
A Joseph church. So we were a dreamer back then.
-
Really, you know, when we were such a small church,
-
we used to dream big.
-
We brought in big bands. I think it's called delirious.
-
You know, we had rallies in defer nations, itation, even cities,
-
different states.
-
We were verdy, a dreamer, a pastor.
-
We were still young and still small as the church
-
went around to share a dream Malaysia. We were a dreamer.
-
There was a time for that. Not to say that
-
we're not a dreamer. Now we're still dreaming, but that
-
was a time. Twenty years the first twenty years and
-
the second twenty years is the Daniel. God is raising
-
out a Daniel generation from year twenty twenty to year
-
twenty forty. But in this span of forty years, there
-
are two particular years that have very significant meaning and
-
not going to bring it to you. Follow me here.
-
In year twenty to fifteen, God gave us this vision
-
of from the Book of no from Hezekiah from the
-
story of Hezekiah. Okay I think his time was up,
-
you know, but God, you know, he pleaded for mercy
-
and God gave him fifteen more years. And the tag
-
line was said, your house in order.
-
Fifteen years.
-
God extended his life and asked him to set your
-
house in order. So twenty to fifteen. He told us
-
that in twenty eighteen it was nahi maya. You remember,
-
some of you who are around we had just it
-
should be the nahi maya. It's called rebuild, Rice and
-
re build right, Rice and rebuild. There was nahimaya in
-
twenty eighteen and for twelve years.
-
Nahim I.
-
If you build the walls and hang up the gates,
-
and walls will speak about identity.
-
We speak about purpose, speak about.
-
Who we are, you know, knowing who we are, security,
-
what they're called to do, What is our purpose?
-
That's what walls talk about.
-
And so if you do the math, some of you
-
who are good math, twenty fifteen plus fifteen is twenty thirty.
-
Twenty eighteen plus shelf years of naimaya is twenty thirty.
-
So if again use the word loosely, magic number or
-
the golden number they were looking at is twenty thirty,
-
twenty thirty. I'm gonna use use that loosely, Okay, twenty thirty.
-
God is preparing us for something great in twenty thirty.
-
He has set his eyes on twenty thirty, so that
-
we are prepared to be stronger, to know who we are,
-
and to build our next generation. And if you do
-
a math, you will know that's about seven more years
-
to come. Of seven five more years to come. Okay,
-
even I lost them the math. Five more years okay,
-
twenty thirty towards the finishing line.
-
So God is preparing us.
-
We need to set our house in order get back
-
to basics, to where it was meant to be, to
-
keep the main thing the main thing before God brings
-
us a great harvest.
-
Amen.
-
In twenty twenty, we celebrated our twentyeth anniversary with a
-
clear vision. He began with kingdom, purpose and priority. That's
-
why the Lord's prayer tells us, let your kingdom come
-
and your will be done. And if you look at
-
a sequence of the Lord's prayer, it comes first right,
-
and we've got his priority is his kingdom, that his
-
kingdom will come and his will be done here on earth.
-
So God has declared Daniel as our vision for the
-
next twenty Somebody say Daniel, Daniel, for the next twenty years.
-
He will raise up Daniels in our means there will
-
be ten times better out there in the marketplace, in
-
our schools, in our campuses, wherever He has called us
-
to be. So this is what it means for us
-
as a church. Listen to this. This is the big
-
vision for ext church, and it's taken from scripture in
-
the HYPERCUK chapter two, verse fourteen.
-
If you can please memorize this verse.
-
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of
-
the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Come,
-
let's all say that together, one, two three, For the
-
earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory
-
of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
-
Amen.
-
That is the big vision, or the overarching vision. Remember
-
that wherever God has placed you and placed me, he
-
wants you.
-
To feel it with the knowledge of the glory of
-
the Lord. For the earth, for the earth.
-
So wherever you are at your earth, there could be
-
your marketplace, your school, your campus, is your neighborhood, your family,
-
you name it.
-
Feed in the blanks.
-
That is where you are called to be at no coincidence.
-
But God wants us to do our part to fill
-
the earth with the knowledge of the glory of the
-
Lord as the waters cover the sea.
-
Genesis one, verse twenty eight.
-
I'm coming to a close, and I'm going to invite
-
the worship team to come up very quickly. Genesis chapter one,
-
verse twenty AD. Then God bless them and say to them,
-
be fruitful and multiply.
-
Feel the earth and subdue it.
-
Have the dominion over the fish of the sea, over
-
the birds of the air, and every living thing that
-
moves on the earth.
-
So three things that we can.
-
Draw from this passage Genesis chapter one, verse TWENTYD. What
-
is it feel the earth? What are we to do?
-
Feel the earth? How to be fruitful and to multiply?
-
That's how, which also means be fruitful and multiply. I'm
-
not just referring to making babies by referring to making disciples.
-
Really it's about making disciples, and the why is to
-
have dominion, to have dominion, or that other word for
-
that is influence, influence, to be a blessing, to be
-
stout and light, to rob off God's goodness, his blessing,
-
his faithfulness unto others, and to have the truth in
-
our lives, to be transformed, to become testimonies, so that
-
we will have dominion. So that's why we can draw
-
from the Book of Genesis chapter one, verse twenty eight.
-
So the question for us today is this, what excuse
-
us am I thinking about?
-
Now? Remember I told you earlier.
-
Then when you see the button, you can either press
-
the button to start, press the button to stop. Are we.
-
Having any excuses or any fear in our minds? Right now?
-
What are you thinking about?
-
I want to remind us we've got there are no excuses,
-
only great exploits.
-
No excuses, only exploits.
-
And Dine chapter eleven, verse thirty two tells us, but
-
they who.
-
Know their God shall be strong.
-
Come on, they who know their God shall be strong
-
and do great exploits.
-
So let's not have excuse every one of us. We
-
have a part to play.
-
And remember I said to you earlier that you know
-
as you continue to hear the vision and the mission
-
and you hear the numbers, when you hear the strategies
-
the plans, it may scare us, but be encouraged that
-
God has the best for us. And if you know,
-
if the dream doesn't scare you enough, it's not big enough.
-
Have we had the statement before, you know? But he
-
is the God of so much more, and he has
-
the best install for us. He has so much more
-
install for us. So don't be afraid, don't be fearful,
-
be strong and very courageous. That's my encouragement, my encouragement
-
to all of us here this morning, because we know
-
our God, and we shall be strong and we shall
-
do great exploits.
-
Amen, Harley Lujah.
