You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
How are we preparing for the next twenty years? Okay,
-
we're talking about twenty years. You know, why are we
-
talking about in area of yars. Let me tell you
-
a very simple reason. Past the Kenough has the annoying
-
thing of the prophetic, a lot of things to share
-
in the beginning, very radical, but he has come to pass. Right.
-
He has come to us, not because we are very
-
powerful or we've got a lot of money, but it's
-
come to us because God wants it to happen. Right,
-
That's why we're talking about in years forty okay, And
-
all we need to do is just be faithful and
-
then we will see it come to us. You don't
-
have to do anything else, actually, because the thing about
-
prophecy is that you know, I still remember someone asked
-
it all like, oh, and I've asked this question before.
-
How do you know that prophecy will happen? Well, it's
-
very simple. It will happen. What happens are So when
-
you know you just need to not do anything and
-
let God do it. You don't have to go and
-
help God know because if you read the Bible, everybody
-
they try to help God in the prophecy create more problems,
-
you know, and you shouldn't do that. Okay, So how
-
are we preparing for the next two years? Last week?
-
Who is the put right? W I'm sure you'll have
-
a lot of notes. Stay up the right now joking?
-
Five ways, five seas to the conviction conditions? You can remember?
-
What else? Corporation college?
-
Okay?
-
And this is the college part. This is the college part.
-
That's why you're doing this training. This is the college part. Right,
-
And how do we make disciples? Today? We're going to
-
talk about making disciples? How do we make disciples? Is
-
very simple? Actually is The first one is yes the
-
shampoo brand, second one is feed my sheep, right, and
-
third one is so if you can remember it, just
-
think shampoo, sheep, and fish. Okay, not so. The summary
-
of the mission of the scipenship is to always give
-
only our best God. You cannot remind anything, right, It's
-
actually very simple. Want the heart of our church, and
-
this is a parent in every other area. Right, is
-
that we give God our best. God only deserves our best. Amen.
-
You agree that God deserves our best? Not changed, not
-
whatever our best. Okay, So let's go into it. So
-
you've heard many things before. Actually, how many of you
-
here are in X for the past one year? One year? Okay,
-
ex chrach right, two years, three years, five years and
-
above all? Right, Okay, you've heard it many times a
-
day one you're still fresher okay, but you've heard it
-
many times? Right? So what makes this round different? Well?
-
Can I give you a challenge this morning? There are
-
three things we need to consider? Friends? Firstly, what is
-
God actually saying to you? I just established that we
-
call extras our home? Right? We come because why? There
-
could reasons why it come? But have you considered what
-
is God saying to you? Why did God lead you here? Right?
-
Is it just for fun? Is it just because he's
-
near your house? Right? What is God saying to you? Well,
-
maybe it's difficult to know what God is saying right now.
-
Maybe the next thought is what is or are your
-
leader saying? What is past Stephen saying every Sunday? What
-
is he saying right about all that we are hearing about,
-
the unpacking of the division? What is he saying? And finally,
-
the question that is the most important is what are
-
you saying about it? Actually, all these things all many
-
times before the not gonna work right, not gonna happen, right,
-
I remember I had one. Uh it's very funny one.
-
I see you this story because it's very powerful story.
-
You know, when we want to start X, no not X.
-
But we wanted to start homes in Kota Damansara, right,
-
and I had six college students, and I remember we
-
saw the lot bring them to PJ in my miner. Actually,
-
now if you're a build, then they will come here
-
a lot in my miner. They will go to somewhere
-
suban suba war happening PJ is like small chess plan.
-
But I don't know why they travel all the way
-
to PJ. No. And then got brought two, three, four, ten, eleven,
-
and I'm like okay. And I remember used to said, hey,
-
you know, you better do something, and I didn't. Not
-
six months later he asked so and I was excited.
-
Oh got testimonior. You know. Now I've got sixteen of them.
-
Then he asked me, are you doing anything. I'm like, no, okay,
-
I'm going to do something. And then we started homes
-
and then I've got six of them came and I
-
remember clearly one of them when I had the one
-
on one conversation. You know, you try to get buy in,
-
pus buy in, like, hey, we're gonna do this, you know, Pasen,
-
I don't believe it. I don't believe in this chesch
-
plannding thing. Right. I don't want to do it. You know.
-
I look at this brother, and I say, it's okay.
-
I believe for you, it's okay. I will do it
-
because hey, hello, you don't believe Nama. I know I
-
have to drive on a Wednesday, ask permission, leave early.
-
I mean I cannot because I'm full time right right,
-
bring my oven to go in big chicken for them
-
to show them what it means by giving got your best.
-
You know why I cannot handle so because the first
-
time I cook for them in homes it took two
-
hours because I was using their knife and boat and
-
it was not shot, and it took me one and
-
a half hours to cut onions. Friends, that is persecution
-
for christ Man, and this I say, I don't believe
-
in it. Ne'ama, I believe you're not a funny thing.
-
As I tell you, I love for gay young people
-
because you really tend to say I told you so,
-
but you won't and you just listen to them and
-
you got stories. I to hell because two months later
-
after we consitantly, we have homes and it was really good.
-
It was really good. We had a good home. Small
-
wile came sunniest person say, I don't believe it. Come
-
a person been. You know, we should have training. Let's train,
-
you know, because last time we were training homes, greatest
-
pace on earth. Let's do it. Now. I'm like, where
-
where did this? I don't believe in it? Person? When now,
-
of course I didn't say alah. A few years later, Yeah,
-
I used the story eline, you know, and then the
-
person remember and then she appreciated person you're talking about me?
-
I said, no, no, no, no, no, another young person. So, friends,
-
what are you saying? The one word that God is
-
challenging me now? Is this thing about belief? Do I
-
still believe? Do I still believe in the region of
-
the church. Do I still believe that this is what
-
God is calling us to do? You know, It's one
-
thing when you have not walked the talk to talk
-
and done it. It's another thing when you've done it
-
for twenty years and then you get tired and you're like,
-
do I still believe in it? So, friends, I asked
-
you this question, what are you saying when we unpack
-
the vision? Because the thing about what you're saying is that,
-
can I be honest, you will come to pass what
-
you are saying. If you are saying it's not gonna work, yes,
-
it's not gonna work for you. But if you're saying
-
it's gonna work, it will work for you because out
-
of your confession it will come. That's what I've seen. Right,
-
So what are you saying? So you must go away
-
saying something. It has to be yes or no. Don't
-
be in the middle. Right are we going to run
-
with the vision or not? Right? Remember Jesus, after hearing
-
what others said about him, asked with the who do
-
you say? That's what they had to come. The disciples
-
had to make a decision. Oh you know, some say
-
you're join the Baptist some say you're Elijah, some say this,
-
and I say it. Look, thank you for telling me
-
what everybody is saying. What are you saying? Are you
-
going to be sitting at the sidelines? You are the
-
discipler and know what are you saying, friends, you just
-
said that you're calling this your church. You're challenging us,
-
is it? No? No, no, I'm not right. What are you saying?
-
Let's talk about the tree. L's okay, there's a lot
-
of acronyms. I hope you will catch it. So the
-
vision of X has always been about the loss. It
-
has always been about a loss, and we need leaders
-
to rise up. Who are leaders? Well? In Acts, we
-
believe that everybody can be a leader. I know sometimes
-
when it comes to the word leader is like bad
-
word leader, more responsibility. I remember talking to a leader
-
and the leader tell me I don't want to be
-
leading homes because I more work. Read day my mom, Like,
-
you're a ready doing so much work. Really, it's not
-
much difference. Actually, you're already a leader. Why are you
-
worried about the title. Maybe because you want the responsibility
-
or whatever. And again you might have another time person
-
that say leadership, I want to take by person already. Okay,
-
so yeah, both ways, But we believe in Acts that
-
everybody can be a leader. And we're not just talking
-
about church. I'm talking about leading another person. Isn't that discipleship?
-
Jesus led So who are you leading? Right? If you
-
become a parent, whether you're like you're not, you're leading
-
your kids right. That's the reality of life. We are
-
leading someone, right, and we need leaders to rise up.
-
We already have a group of people. Yesterday we met
-
the leaders met okay, the leaders of the church, people
-
who are leading the church met about hundred plus two
-
hundred right, the thousand that we have. Everyone should be
-
a disciple, Corona should write and eventually lead someone to
-
the Lord. That is what we should be doing. That
-
isn't that our call? However, so we need the loss.
-
All of us can agree that we need leaders. Maybe
-
were green and some say I'm not ready and no,
-
it's fine. However, can I can I let you know
-
that we also need eleven seven? He is speaking King
-
Jam's English. Well, let's read the word of God Matthew thirteen.
-
Matthew chapter thirteen, verse thirty three says that the kingdom
-
of heaven is like eleven. God's kingdom is eleven. We
-
have we have the lost people who don't know God.
-
Yet we have us here on earth, right, But then
-
we need the eleven. Let Maybe we'll go to Matthew
-
chapter thirteen and read what it says there, right, So
-
it talks here about okay, the purpose of parables. Right,
-
let's see thirteen thirty three. Okay, let me go. There
-
are guys, okay, right, so let's talk about the parable
-
and the mustard seed. Now another parable he pulls off
-
to them, The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard
-
seed which a man took and sowed in his field,
-
which indeed is the least of all the seeds. But
-
when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs
-
and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the
-
air come and nest in his branches. Right. And then
-
it says another parable. He spoke to them, the Kingdom
-
of Heaven is like eleven, which a woman took and
-
hid in three measures of meal, did till it was
-
all eleven. Right. So the secret sauce, friends, the secret
-
sauce is the eleven. The secret sauce is God's Kingdom.
-
Do you have God's Kingdom in your life? Matthew Sextredy
-
Tree says, sick. If it's the king of God, and
-
all shall be added to you, don't worry. Question is
-
do you have God's kingdom? Pase wants there now well,
-
don't just explain what it means. I prayed. I read
-
the word I prayed, and something happened. God's kingdom is
-
in effect, not men, not money, God's kingdom. He's in effect, right,
-
so we need leven. When leven and years is put
-
in two doors, it became to rise for those that
-
know how to bake those that don't know a bit.
-
You just need to take my word for it. You
-
got no yeas, you got no sour door. Sour door
-
is ye sir. I remember I wanted to do sour
-
dough and I know a good friend that has you
-
know that's really good. Sourdo goes to ex Hyberjaya androw
-
and I asked him, Hey, I want to dola. Can
-
you give me some of your starter? And no? He
-
said sure. Then he said, are you sure? He's like
-
taking care of a pet. No, I'm saying, what do
-
you mean? He's like, you need to feed it like
-
three times a day? Huh? I said, how you feed
-
it three tis a day? You bring with you? He said, no,
-
my mother helped me. I'm like, okay, I don't have
-
mo day at home to help me. Okay, my mother's
-
in heaven, not a joke, no joke, but anyway, nobody
-
at home can help me, you know. So I'm like, oh, man, imagina,
-
you see me start then I'll be like having a
-
little thinking. Care what you're doing. I'm trying to feed
-
the the sour door. We don't heaven. The door won't rise.
-
Without levening our lives, we will remain stagnant and flat.
-
Leven gets disciples and leaders out of their comfort zone.
-
Send out labors into the harvest field, be kicked out.
-
That's leven. Do you have leven in your life or not?
-
Let me use other words. You have God's presence in
-
your life? Do you have the Kingdom of God in
-
your life? You want to experience victory in your own life?
-
You gotta all have all these things. But the thing
-
is the thing about following God is that it will
-
not be comfortable. That's the reality that people don't share. Yes, yes,
-
you will have peace, you have all these things. It
-
will be awesome. Ask any of these leaders here who
-
follow God, Sharon easy or not? Follow God? Not easy?
-
Right?
-
But is he fulfiling? Are you seeing the dreams of
-
your life come to pass? The dreams of your life
-
come to pass? Go out inside joke, okaret, answer about it? Okay,
-
A lot, a lot, a lot lot right that fulfilling
-
corent not not easy, definitely, nobody wants it one but
-
fulfeeling worth it? Right, That's what leven is. So next
-
point the secret to real growth? Do you want to
-
grow up this year? Friends? Do you want to grow
-
this year in the lot? Sorry? Do you want to
-
grow this year in your own life? Do you want to? Well?
-
The secret to real growth is radical obedience? Can or not? Not?
-
Just obedience? Are radical obedience? And when we think radical
-
obediences you mean you become radical? No, no, no, no, don't
-
think of it in the extreme. Actually, radical obedience are
-
It's not very difficult for us. It just means something
-
that you won't normally do. Right, I don't normally go
-
prayer service. Then you better radically obey this here by
-
going prayer service. It's not very hard. No, actually, think
-
about it because we think radical. Oh you mean I
-
know you don't ask for the days? And friends? Chill lla?
-
Do you say it was okay? I'll make time on
-
a past story forty days. God's not dumb, you know
-
what I mean? Where's the foolish is coming from right.
-
Not everybody here is meant to do full time. No, seriously,
-
every time someone come in and tell I got full
-
time call, I would ask the person ten thousand questions
-
first because I know how the figure is. And when
-
you can't answer this question, I'm like, okayah, I can
-
give you a child. Prover you was a wife. Right,
-
But radical obedience that was the foundation of exches the
-
first twenty years. Now we are in twenty twenty six, right,
-
So twenty two thousand until twenty twenty twenty, we had
-
radical obedience. It was crazy, right. There was radical unity,
-
there was radical generosity. I share you one story, personal story.
-
Right twenty ten, I still remember we were poised to
-
get a building on our own. And that was the
-
That was the trend. Okay, use this word. That was
-
the trend of every church, get a big building. Always
-
come together. We are a big you know, big everything,
-
big big, big, big, big big. That was the plan.
-
Why because we knew you meet people. We need to
-
get all the people on board. It's not about numbers,
-
it's about souls. Right, got the building we all gave.
-
I sought my car, the only my first car. I sold, convicted, sold,
-
my car, no nor money. It was a few thousand
-
ring and second hand lime green. I don't know, lime green,
-
lime green color proton is what I love that car.
-
Convicted sell it? Right? Of course you hope like, oh,
-
you know, then someone will come and say, Perselvin, since
-
you saw your car, here here's the brand new Alpha Romeo. Friends,
-
didn't happen until now, I have no nobody came. You know,
-
I'm still waiting. I saw my car, gave to the building,
-
and then we lost the building war. I'd be honest.
-
You're a lot of story where things like this happened. Now.
-
The church per ready by then, but redical obedience. I
-
knew I was not giving to a man, and not
-
just me. There were many many. I remember a friend
-
during that time or so gave their kids education fund.
-
Of course the Lord bless them, and you know, but
-
we believed, and we lost the building and we didn't leave,
-
and then God did other things. So in the first
-
two years we had to go through the fire. Right,
-
that's the friends, that is the legacy of your church
-
and some of the leaders of your church. That's the legacy.
-
You know, when you have a legacy, right, that's powerful. Right,
-
you know that you're set for success one because someone
-
has done the hard work. Ready, none say that now
-
you don't lah. But now when you go hard work,
-
don't don't shann la. Right now, when you go Howard,
-
don't shut it because that's the legacy you have, right,
-
So radical that is the first twenty years. Do we
-
need to go back there again? Well, I don't know.
-
I've got causes that maybe right, But what is the
-
requirement for the next twenty years for our growth as
-
a church? Radical ideas, deliberate, The foundation is set, redifference,
-
the foundation is set, Radical initiatives tiding and I'm not
-
just talking about money, your time and radical implementation. The
-
level what else do we sow into that's gonna be
-
from twenty twenty to twenty forty? And can I let
-
you know the shift because the first time, the first
-
twenty years, it was working out the details. It was
-
getting the foundation right. It was the working out the
-
family values five WS, the unpacking, the helping people believe,
-
the proving whether this works or not. And it works
-
it works. If not, you will not have continued proving
-
whether the Bible works or not. That was the test,
-
That was the experimentation that was the first twenty years
-
and the next twenty years. Growth comes from the implementation
-
of it. And do you know that you guys are
-
part of the implementation. I asked some questions, sir, Okay,
-
maybe Sharon again? Okay, Sharon, when you started coming xs? Right?
-
Do you ever think that you were planning Chester? Huh no? No?
-
When when was it you came to college?
-
Twenty sixteen?
-
So xbu How many years are tree years? Tree years? Okay? Right?
-
You still quite young? Right?
-
Yes?
-
How are you twenty nine?
-
Wait? Look at him? You don't know she did have
-
to check him twenty nine? You probably didn't. I remember
-
sharing when she was a Campis student. Know did I
-
knew that she was going to plant chesh No, way,
-
no way? Right. You see, if you look back where
-
especially some of us here at where you were, John,
-
will you ever will you ever be assistancy BC in
-
your mind? He's right, He's right. Sorry, I have to
-
double check, you know, I just giving out. You know,
-
will you ever believe that you were gonna be the
-
assistant church Bran church bran card?
-
No, bro no, no, no, how long you've been extra
-
sh D, I don't know thirty thirty years, two years.
-
I know John for a very long time. Okay, will
-
you ever never right?
-
Never? No, John, actually since last time he really dreamed
-
I'm gonna be pastor John one day. No, friends, you know,
-
I know I'm using this sun, but I want you
-
to see it. The implementation part. It is not man's job.
-
It is God doing something. And these are people who
-
have been faithful. These are people who say, yes, God
-
sent me with fear and traveling right. The structure we
-
have right now local senior passes office mana that last time,
-
last time, just senior pastor Like you're worry about the
-
problem everything, every problem you have, you throw at them
-
right no now, any bu problemer, CPC assisting PC. Look
-
as we are your cut team. Okay, what does that
-
show you? Empowerment? What does that show you? We believe
-
that everybody can, you know, every believer can. No, no, no, no,
-
no no no. Josiah, you must go for a ten
-
year geologic cause, get masters, become a bishop. Then only
-
maybe your planner church by the time Jesus come back.
-
You you know, we all laugh about it, but I'm
-
trying to show you that it's happening. In front of
-
your eyes? What will bring radical growth? Sorry, we'll bring
-
growth in the next two nearest friends. As I'm reading this,
-
I'm like, yeah, Lord, I never imagine I'll be planning
-
to just honest to God. Honest, I thought I'll be
-
happily doing XTV for the rest of my life. Never imagine.
-
But God had other plans. Do you know that God
-
has plans for you if you will say yes to him?
-
Because all these people had to say yes. No, that's
-
the thing. All have to say yes. You don't say
-
yes and it won't happen. Have to say yes. So
-
back to this what and then of course now we
-
got global church lab Will we ever imagine? I tell
-
you as I think regret. I cannot brain it sometimes,
-
but it's so natural. Now we got a church plan
-
in Mianma, we got a church plan in you know,
-
Botswana is growing and bounds, right man, I tell you friends,
-
it is only God that can do it. No where
-
with our contact connection, money, no way. It has to
-
be God. Do you recognize it? Friends? Do you recognize
-
the XBU is part of something bigger, is beyond just
-
this Sunday? Okay, with every big vision and everything and
-
every good thing that's happening, there's always challenges. One, So
-
let's talk about the challenges. Can we talk about challenges.
-
Let's let's let's look at it realistically, because if we
-
don't look at it realistically, you know, very hard light,
-
you know, it cannot just be like I'm in the air,
-
say you need but you know, but these are the challenge.
-
First challenge, the loss. So the greatest challenge to the vision,
-
and you'll know what the vision is that the earth
-
may be failed with the noise of the glory of
-
the Lord, as the water has covered the sea, right, okay?
-
That for that, as that bundled Utama we filled with
-
the knowledge of the glory of God as the world's
-
see right, okay. So the greatest challenge to our vision
-
is that we cannot achieve it without winning the loss.
-
How is the whole of ex the whole of Bana Tama, No,
-
the whole ex Banadama, yes, not done really, you'll know,
-
the knowledge of the glory of Lot ready done. Really,
-
but the whole of Bandama? How would it happen without
-
us going out? How do you happen without the loss?
-
The people who do not know about Christ yet the
-
people who do not know yet. I mean, don't talk
-
about those that ready, those I know already. The Christian
-
know already enough? Ready, good? Ready? What about those that
-
don't know? Right? So he cannot that's the challenge. So
-
the church isn't here in Malaysia to just look after
-
the ten percent. No, right, we have to have that mentality.
-
We have to have that perspective because if not, we
-
are going to get comfortable being in church. How do
-
you That's it. There's no urgency. But we're here to
-
leve even the ninety percent. For the Son of Man
-
has come to see and save that which was lost.
-
That was his goal. We were once lost, now we
-
are found. There are many loss out there. So that's
-
the first challenge. By the way, that scripture is from
-
Luke nineteen verse ten. So here in our church, when
-
we talk about the loss, we think about witness right
-
and can be honest with you weakess, w weakeers right.
-
God wants us to engage the fifth gear and take
-
this vehicle up to a maximum speed with Mexican distance
-
before he returns. Friends. The setting of the stage church
-
now is small. Ready, we believe that you see the
-
structure is there. Really the foundation is there. Now the
-
work begins. Actually you think about it, because we don't
-
have to argue about a lot of things that day.
-
You don't have to argue about a lot of structure
-
is being set ready, right, worship structure. There's the reason
-
why you come. That's the homes. No need to argue ready.
-
Homes is good, Church is good, Praser is good, worship
-
is good. It works, friends, because it doesn't work, We're
-
not gonna have multiplication, but we're multiplying church like no
-
one's business. Because it works. If you go all the
-
way to what Tswana, if you go all the way
-
to it's the same or no. Sometimes I joke that
-
x Becausie looks more like exchange us because they will
-
actually put up all the you know, if you've been now,
-
please go, please please friends this year, please go for
-
mission trip. Go go go for mission trip. Go to
-
another church plan half across around the world and see
-
whether God is doing see whether there's any similarity or not.
-
And then you're not Okay, God, you're real. I'm not
-
just in my little bubble. Right, go go go mission
-
trip organized organized organized mission trip. I think, yeah, a
-
mission trip is happening, right, go for it. That's the challenge, right.
-
The losses of a second challenge is the leaders. The
-
greatest challenge that we can't do it without leader slash laborers. See,
-
the harvest is plentiful by the labors. Are you? I
-
used to not understand this. Now I fully understand it.
-
So every time someone comes up to me and say,
-
perse you know, we need to save people. We need
-
to you know, all we need to, I say, great,
-
can the harvest? I agree? Harvest is plentiful. You want
-
to know us? The problem you have that chikok Oran
-
the long because everybody expect full time for us to
-
do it an so the only way you can reach
-
out is to become full time.
-
Right.
-
But that's the mentality that's the problem. No, friends, we
-
have to change the mindset. Everybody here can do something
-
about it. Everybody here can pray for someone this week.
-
Everybody here can talk to a friend and know that
-
your The rejection lebl's going to be higher, our friends
-
is going to be higher. Out of ten people to
-
talk to, maybe one person says, okay, I allow you
-
to pray for me here, but you got to keep
-
doing it because once you get that one. You'll be
-
encouraged once you hear that one testimony it thanks so much,
-
and that for praying for me, because thanks so much passes,
-
then you'll be like, wow, God, you're using me. But
-
it has to have that one, right. So the leaders,
-
he said to his disciples, the harvest is plentiful, but
-
the laborers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of
-
the harvest to send out laborers to his harvests. So
-
now when people come to me and tell me a
-
problem again, now after this, none of you will talk
-
to me about needs. I said, great, thank you so
-
much for that heart. Why don't you do something about it?
-
That's the truth. You got a conviction, ma, Why not
-
you believe that God will use you? Right, that's the reality.
-
The problem was never being with the harvest but the harvesters.
-
We were never thought to pray for the harvests, but
-
for the laborers. Matthew four nineteen says that he said
-
to them, follow me, and I'll make you facius for men. Friends,
-
let me give you this challenge. If you're afraid or
-
your concern about whether or not you are good enough
-
to disciple someone to do something about it, let me
-
give you a very simple answer. Follow Christ. He will
-
make you vicious of men because it's not about you.
-
It's not about me. It was about me. Right, I
-
will be some guru like Tony Robbins sharing or Simon
-
Sinek sharing the why of life and all and write
-
a book and get rich. No, it's not about me, friends,
-
it's not about me. It's not about any of the
-
leaders here. Yes, thank you for the honor, but it's
-
not about us. It's all about Christ. Amen. So that's
-
the second challenge. The final challenge, which actually is also important.
-
The greatest challenge, friends, is that maybe we have a
-
perspective of the loss and then oh, yeah, we have enough.
-
But let's say everybody, okay, everybody sign up for sign
-
up to reach out. Okay, all kind of let's hold
-
a plan less do it. The third greatest challenge is
-
that we cannot do it without the leaven, the sending out.
-
Roman Stentataine says, whatever calls on the name of the
-
Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on
-
him whom they have not believed? And how shall they
-
believe in him whom they have not heard? How shall
-
they hear without a preacher, How shall they preach unless
-
they are sent as it is written? How beautiful are
-
the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
-
who bring glad tidings of good tidings. So what is leven? Friends, Well,
-
leaven is the discipline. First Corinthians nine twenty six twenty
-
seven says Therefore I run thats not with uncertainty. Does
-
I fight not as one who beats the air. But
-
I discipline my body and bring it into sub subjection.
-
Less when I preach to others, I myself should become disqualified.
-
So leven is the doing. It's the execution, is the implementation,
-
the momentum, the habit, the custom, the culture. People who
-
are in fitness, people who who are coaches understand this
-
really well. People who coach you, who train people understandings
-
really well. It is not the go on. No, oh
-
you must have the biggest why. Yeah that's great. Right.
-
Oh you must have a big goal. Yeah that's great.
-
Do you know that nothing happens without the action? That's
-
the reality, right. And I also realized that we can
-
all know what's important to do, but won't do it.
-
On for example, everybody here knows what it takes to
-
be healthy. You know, exercise it properly, don't eat super sweets, right,
-
all of us know? Are you doing it? That's eleven?
-
Are you doing it? That's the reality. Oh, I know
-
that I must sleep early? Are you doing it? I
-
know Instagrams don't go for me. Reels are don't go
-
for me. I know great knowledge is not the issue.
-
Discipline is the issue. Co or not same. I think
-
about this myself all the time. Let me tell you
-
my mindset fast time. When you talk about fitness, right,
-
sports is not for me. I'm not a sporty person.
-
You know. When I developed this mindset when I was
-
in school. From that time onwards, sports day was never
-
a thing. I was skid sports day.
-
Then.
-
I remember once we had a joggaton. I'm talking about
-
like primary school. No how convinced I am right, and
-
no one encouraged me, No one taught me right. I
-
will go for joggaton, put my attendance and run home.
-
That's what I used to do all the way. The
-
only time maybe I play sports is padminton when everybody
-
likes bedminton and I play with it, and that's it.
-
That's it. No sports, no fitness, nothing, never had any
-
encouragement until I had to go and get a stand
-
in my heart. Touch the heart now right one night
-
in ic you not fun? Not fun? Right? How many
-
more wake up calls we need to have before we
-
start taking things seriously? You got to think about that,
-
you know. And I realized that it is a mindset
-
ship because I was just talking to someone yesterday about
-
exercising and the persons shaking his head, no la, no la,
-
no la. And I'm like, I used to be like you,
-
exactly like you, and now I know different. Now I
-
have a different mindset. Now. The top process is the
-
more I want to know. And there are many reasons,
-
wh oh I can't cause my schedule and again nothing
-
nothing wrong with that. I told this person and another
-
percise it. You know, you have a child now my
-
perspective of choice, raising birth. If I can exercise more,
-
I'm investing in the future because I know now right,
-
I've got it. So it's it doesn't take a lot
-
now to motivate myself, right, but we have to have
-
the level. That's that's the reality, even though it's not
-
gonna happen. I hope you guys are catching something from
-
this so it is actually the doing. But the doing
-
is hard. I know, I admit the doing is hard.
-
That's why I will encourage you. But you gotta think
-
of it this way. You got to force yourself. Sorry,
-
no other way. You don't force yourself is not gonna happen.
-
You don't push yourselfs not gonna happen. You don't discipline
-
Yourself's not gonna happen. You expect some good feeling, No,
-
you want to know when it's the good feeling going
-
to come after you suffer. Then the good feeling will
-
come only after you put effort and time in it
-
and you're sweating and you're tired. Then you will feel good.
-
Then you want to do it again after you put
-
yourself to pain. That's how life works, right, So friends,
-
something to think about. You can write on your own
-
what are some of the habits or customs that will
-
make you an effective laborer? And actually, this little thing
-
is something that you can apply. This thought process is
-
something that can apply in everything you want to do
-
in life. What are the habits that you can do
-
to make you a better blank can In the church context,
-
we asked this question, what are the habits? Is it
-
commit and don't think big thing, small incremental changes in
-
your life. Right. The thing that I realized helped me
-
as I started the finness journey was small, incremental. I
-
didn't straight away Okay, every day I'm going to go exercise,
-
I will fail, I will get discouraged and I won't
-
do it. So it started with one day. First, push myself,
-
push myself consistent, two days, push myself consistent, three days
-
after that, exercise when holiday because holiday exercise, then stortally
-
change other things. It's still changing. It's been three years,
-
two years, two years, still making changes, right, still making
-
now more discipline on different things. Yesterday, Oh I can
-
tell you I owe it yesterday. Since then lost a birthday?
-
Had you know, waffle with during ice creams laha bas right?
-
So today fast one mela, no problem, I don't feel
-
no nothing. Maybe last time incremental changes in your life.
-
So in the area of faith, what the incremental changes
-
can make? Read Bible for five minutes. Ne's only increase,
-
right buontai yourself cannot because if you tellt her cannot, Yeah,
-
you cannot. Maybe once a month, come for prayer service
-
once a month. Huh No enough? Read once a month
-
then later when becomes habit twice a man? Right, What
-
are the incrementals of little incremental change that you can
-
make in your life? Think about it? Think about it,
-
and you only can make it in your life. No,
-
no one can force you one. Right unless pastus Steven
-
is your housemailer, then he will force you ala. If not,
-
what is think about it this way because if you don't,
-
then can I give you a sobering thought? You and
-
twenty twenty six the same. That's the reality unless you
-
start making small adjustments. If not not big small adjustments. Okay,
-
so think about it. What are some habits or custom
-
That's why we use the word custom. Custom is customary.
-
It's customary to open it up, or girls, it's customary
-
to say hello. It's custom We have been trained so much.
-
I'm training my kid now. Every time you see someone
-
say hello, Hi, no address, the name, it is customary.
-
I was trained b like that when I was young.
-
That's why I see someone who's say uncle, Auntie. Right,
-
it's customary. It's becomes so I don't want to do so,
-
I'll do it right. I don't like this, Auntie, but
-
I will still wish it anyway. What is your custom
-
that you can adjust, friends, if all of us can
-
slowly adjust, adjust, adjust, right, let me give you this perspective.
-
Imagine the day. Imagine, just imagine, imagine the day when
-
witnessing so winning disciple, ship making leader, producing Daniel releasing.
-
You're not Daniel. Any Daniel's here. Well, we're talking about
-
the prophet Daniel. They mis released to the marketplace to
-
be an influence, right becomes momentum becomes our habit becomes
-
our culture, becomes our custom. Do you know that when
-
we started church planting it was an alien concept when
-
we did the and some you will here probably be
-
affected by when we when we the not nice word
-
we use is decentralized. I would say multiplier when we multiplied. Ha,
-
send me so far we have? Some probably feel great
-
now near my house, I don't have to travel so far.
-
Some probably feel that way. Some probably feel some I
-
feel my friends are all gone. You know that's how
-
it felt, right, uncomfortable changes. Oh, I cannot see past
-
us all the time? Right, that was dead. Look at
-
where we've come now, Look at how things have changed.
-
Look at how church planting is normal, normally right, normal?
-
In fact, some of us are seeing the benefits of
-
church planting. Now it's a close environment. You know, when
-
I was in the two thousand church plan, nobody said
-
hello to me. Nobody cares now, or I want to
-
run away from pass the sea wars cannot He will
-
definitely ask me how I'm doing, or pray for me.
-
The benefit see a lot of things we do in life.
-
You might not see it at first, right, but it's
-
become normal now. Going and visiting church, the church planter's
-
overseas is normal now when people go holiday. Last time
-
it was a in huh. Now it's normal now. You
-
actually see you have planning your holiday around around the
-
church plan, which is very interesting. You think about it, right,
-
this is where God wants to get us, friends, That's
-
where he wants to position us. That's getting our house
-
in order, rebuilding the walls, hanging the gates. That's what
-
we want to live our next generation parents here, think
-
about it this way. Imagine passing on faith to your kids.
-
Think about it, passing on faith. The benefits you are
-
experiencing right now, can we pass it on to them?
-
Can it be so normal to them? Right? That's the
-
road forward, friends, that's the road forward. How do we
-
implement this? So I talked about the challenge, right, I
-
talk about the different challenges, But let me give you
-
the action plan which everybody can do it. How do
-
we implement Well, we need to take in God's diet.
-
What's God's diet, God's diret So Daniel, he lived on
-
vegetables and water for ten days and became stronger and fatter.
-
That's what happened to him, right, And this is the
-
way that God wants us to fulfill our purpose, that
-
we live on God's diet. Right now, I just heard
-
that you asked, just change the pyramid now more protein.
-
So all those guito people say, amen, you like rice
-
and bread. Sorry for you. He has changed the balaity. Okay,
-
So we got to break God's side. Now what's God's died? Well,
-
first is daily bread? Do you have daily break from God?
-
You know the devotion daily bread? Actually it's quite ap
-
They name it daily bread because it is daily bread.
-
In the morning when you wake up, do you ask God, morning, Lloyd,
-
what's my daily bread today? What's my manner from heaven today?
-
What are you saying today? All? Straight away? Like, huh,
-
I need to do these these, these, these these I
-
got this exam, I got have you asked? Got God?
-
Can you help you my exam? What's your daily braid? Friends?
-
Everybody can do, right? Do you need revel from heaven? No,
-
everybody can do. What's your daily bread? What's the idea?
-
What's God asking you to do to be a blessing?
-
Can you make a list? Lord? How can I be
-
effective as a labor today? Make a lista whatever it
-
comes your way? You know, download from him? Do you
-
know God speak? You know? The one thing that I
-
will tell people this is that you know when you
-
ask God, God actually say something. Side the scripture, Ask
-
and you will get your answer. Seek and you will
-
find not and the door be opened. It's very true. No,
-
it's very rudimentary and elementary, but it's so true. You
-
don't ask, you won't get law as la right, that's
-
the daily bread. And then once we receive. Okay, God,
-
thanks for the revelation, Thanks for giving me the download.
-
What's the next step? Make a commitment your tithe? That's
-
where you say, Lord, I tithe to you, I give
-
to you, Thank you for this. I will I will
-
do my part right, you know? Okay, God, everything on
-
all you are, yes, all him. But we have to
-
do our part. We have to obey. Once you receive
-
the word. The greatest thing you can do is obedience.
-
And do you know that when you obey, you please him.
-
So it's your benefit that you obey him. And then
-
after that it's where the leaven comes in, where we implement,
-
where we make it count right, and we account right,
-
you know, we got to account for things, you know,
-
that's that's that's the thing about somethings when we come
-
to you know, we we we count a lot of things.
-
We keira a lot of things, right. You know. We
-
always say like, don't kee it up, we've God la right,
-
but actually we do. We cra God, I gave you
-
this mount then I get you know, we kee it out.
-
Maybe that's the Chinese insarvest. Must count everything one, you know,
-
and we say God don't count. Actually know what I
-
think he does count. You know, he's not gonna hold
-
you to it, but I think he does count. Because
-
we all have to take an account of what we
-
have done. We all have to do that. That's a reality. Right.
-
Are we gonna keep counting the blessings or the thanksgiving
-
or are we gonna count now? God? Now you never
-
answer no, I tell you whish one I don't know.
-
Maybe ask you if you were God right and you've
-
got your kids coming to you or those steps follow
-
you coming to your who you like? You want the
-
one that count? Lord? Thanks so much, Thanks for this
-
you did for me. Thanks for this you did for me.
-
Thanks or you're gonna Lord, I want to keep out
-
of you. You never do this. You never do who
-
you prefer to talk to? Think about it? Then you
-
flip it? Which one are you? Wouldn't you want to
-
give more to the ones that is more thankful? Think
-
about it, think about it, just challenging that thought process. Okay,
-
So let's make it count. Download from the Lord. Okay,
-
daily bread can do every day? One okay? And then
-
again incremental changes maybe difficult. Your schedule is hard. Five minutes,
-
five minutes, one minute, pray one minute. I don't know, right,
-
Maybe just do something to connect we've got and then
-
after that upload to him and then implement. So there
-
are five steps. I give you the five sets of
-
God's diet. We've got to make a list, right, because
-
a short pencer is But of course, now we got
-
I pen and all. But please make a list. No
-
we cannot remember. And once you have the list, commit
-
to it. Okay, God, thank you for this. I want
-
to commit. And then you got to make it count. Okay,
-
revisit it. Maybe you've got the list ready. Maybe God
-
has given you something but you've not acted on it
-
for past twenty five. It's not too late. Revisit the least,
-
just the least, yes, maybe, and make it count. Make
-
time to help others.
-
So so.
-
Right, that was very encouraging. Pray God answered, come share,
-
help others. Others are being helped. Now you'll know if
-
you want to have extension for your landlord, you know
-
you can asked because you got example. If it can happen,
-
it canpen to me as well. Help others. And of
-
course finally we remember the vision. What is it all about? Friends?
-
It's about the loss, It's about helping people believe, it's
-
about making disciples. Right what he's making disciples? Oh no,
-
I must be you know, affiliated with pasta Steven? And
-
then he must say his friends. It's not so complicated
-
on cat no, can we can we simplify it a
-
little bit. The moment you can influence someone to follow Jesus,
-
you are discipling the person like how or some of
-
you here, I'm really discipling you because you are listening
-
to me at least la but they are one there,
-
ones are like tuning off. I'm not discipling you. It's
-
very simple. Maybe someone else can. Maybe you listen. He
-
will disable you, but at least that's disabled happening. And
-
of course here we go deeper. Don't just be discipled
-
from a far because no accountability. I want to know, right,
-
there's nocountability. Do you know that it's harder when it's
-
close proximity because you got no choice for the cow right.
-
That's why one of the one of the benefits I
-
feel for me in my finest journey is that I
-
have a coach. Until now I'm being you know, discipled
-
by my coach right the day I went a coach
-
shorea I know Freela today. Then he's like, take a
-
photo of the work I do at home. I'm like, okay,
-
cannot run away, but it's good for me, so I
-
do it right. So, friends, I got three questions. Oh sorry,
-
there's something that I'll just share with you is in
-
a slide. So remember geat the vision. The vision is
-
dominion influence. Does ex bundall Tama have influence in Banda Tama? God? Not? Right?
-
And who's influence not just the influence of the church,
-
the influence of God in this place? Right? And what
-
is the mission disciple? Shape that more people are the same.
-
And the direction that we have as a church is
-
the Daniel direction. Where you are the influence where you
-
are there where people recognize you as the believer in
-
your marketplace. That's Daniel right. And the focus is God's died.
-
Just break it down really simple for you. Actually everybody
-
can do it right. But there's a cost to it.
-
You know. The Bible says if we don't count the cost,
-
that's that Sometimes we set up to do things for God, right,
-
but we don't count the cost. No, friends, You've got
-
to count the cost. That's why you The question is
-
what are you saying? Is there a cost? The cost
-
is disciplined, that's the cost. And if you don't do that,
-
it's not going to happen. Right. So three reflection questions
-
and you can go back and think about it and
-
do it right. What is your heart for the loss?
-
You got heart for loss of them? I wrote that
-
easy even that is to myself is my heart for
-
lost even there because it's you can. You can say
-
a lot of slogans here, a lot of things, But
-
do I really even care for people who do not
-
know God? Yet? Do I really want to reach out
-
to them? What are my challenges in being called to
-
lead others? Well? I wrote here, I'm not good enough,
-
but then the Lord has encouraged me and told me
-
in Philippians for thirteen that I can do all things
-
to Christ, who strengthens me. So it's not about me.
-
There are a lot of people I know when we
-
talk about this, especially, I'm not going get someone else,
-
get someone else, get get pass to see you here
-
all Anxi. You know, to disciple, I'm not lengthxyed enough.
-
So when I thought people don't listen to me, it's
-
not about me. I can do all things to Christ
-
who strengthens friends. You can do all things to Christ
-
who strengthens you. Your own definitely cannot, but through Christ can.
-
And what is the one discipline that I want to
-
work on? Well, I wrote here, meditating on God's word,
-
this is myself lies. You know we talk about downloading
-
from God. Joshua want It encourages us that the law
-
and his commandments, of the commandments of God do not
-
depart our mouth. That we will meditate it in our
-
hearts and minds, day and night, and it shall be
-
well with us. It will bring us prosperity. That's what
-
happens when we meditate on God's world. That's the thing
-
that sometimes we need more proof. But friends, I tell
-
you so much, profety, so much profety. Don't know how
-
much more to prove. Every time you hear peopleshap message
-
about you know, following God and and and seeking away
-
kingdom and then being in a place where the Lord
-
has blessed, it's profety when you hear testimonies, it's proof
-
God's word. What does God's worth say? Follow? It's as
-
simple as that. There's no secret, right. That's why I
-
want to end with maybe, extremely come up. So I
-
hope that you've caught something. Yeah, try to make it
-
as real as possible for your can I encourage you
-
with this one thought? You know, when we you know,
-
when we pursue after God and his kingdom, sometimes we
-
think that we have to sacrifice our dreams, our desires.
-
We have to sacrifice a lot of things. And yes,
-
maybe at the start it may feel that way, the feeling,
-
but our friends, I tell you, are God will surprise
-
you one because he will bring all dreams that you
-
think have died a long time ago, and he will
-
just give it to you and make it come a
-
life again. And the crazy thing is, you know, I've
-
experienced these few times I pursue the something maybe I
-
didn't consult God there and get it, and then I suffer.
-
And the alternative is I surrender it to the Lord.
-
I let the dream die, die, die to self, and
-
I be faithful. And then suddenly when he comes back,
-
and it's not even like I'm asking for it. When
-
it comes back, it comes back in a place where
-
it's more fulfilling and more at peace. Then when if
-
I pursued it on my own in the beginning. I
-
find it very interesting, this, this relationship, you know, because
-
I believe that whatever desire he plays in your heart,
-
it is from Him because He made us. So you
-
don't shun the desire, but you submit it. You catch that,
-
you know, you you either submit to God or you
-
submit your dreams or your ambition or your fear or whatever.
-
But I've come to realize that when we submit to God,
-
he will short this thing out. Design meant you six.

The tree is so real. So my encouragement today is, hey,
-
can we submit to God? Can we surrender to him? Yes,
-
there's desire, Yes, I know God, don't don't. Don't cut
-
it off, laid to rest for now, leave it here first,
-
say Lord. When it happens, I know it's going to
-
be from you. Because the one other reminder that I
-
got in the beginning of the year and can doing
-
a devotion, is that you don't want to come to
-
a place right when you can afford what God doesn't
-
want for your life, because that's a very dangerous place
-
to be at because if you can afford to do
-
something that God doesn't want you to do, it might
-
destroy you your cashtre no not too deep bla, you know.
-
So I think sometimes even if we can and we
-
feel like we cannot, maybe it's not for us, and
-
we surrender it to the Lord because it's very dangerous
-
when you can afford it. You get mean, but actually
-
that's not what's God's plan for you know what's gonna happen.
-
You're gonna destroy yourself, right, that's very dangerous. Amen.
