You're listening to a message to go from EX Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
So today we're gonna do series three. Now, why this
-
is important is because that's kind of felt the leading
-
from the Holy Spirit to bring the church in alignment together.
-
And if you're going to be part of ex Church
-
or you have been part of ex Church, it is
-
very important for you to understand the vision that God
-
has given to this church and the mandate He required
-
us to be in this church. Now we all need
-
to have a plan for our life. Likewise, everyone needs
-
to have a plan if you're going to be part
-
of this church. God has a plan for this church
-
if you believe it's say amen, and his plan is
-
for us to be a disciple. His plan is for
-
Earth to take dominion, to be of good influence where
-
God has places to be. And that you know, if
-
I've been in this church for twenty one years, now
-
you know it's twenty two years. Oh my twenty six,
-
twenty two years I've been in this church. I was
-
born here in this church in a sense that I
-
found Christ here in his church. And I always tell
-
people that ACTS is my first church and will be
-
my last church. It's not the easiest thing to say,
-
because no church is perfect. There is a fair share
-
of celebration, there is a fair share of challenges. Nevertheless,
-
I believe that it is no coincidence that God has
-
birthed me and planted me here in acts and likewise
-
for you, regardless of wherever you come from. Right, God
-
has a plan for you in this church. And in
-
the first Unpacking series, UH, we shed about why is
-
it important for us to unpack the vision? So when
-
you unpack the vision, you will understand the vision. And
-
when you begin to understand, you will then undertake the vision.
-
I must say that we are not going to settle
-
for a status quo. UH. The church wants God's best
-
for your life, and we shed that in the first session,
-
where our passion is to see you living life to
-
your fullest potential in God, and that as we desire
-
God's best to manifest upon your life, you should believe
-
God for when things that are impossible amen. So the
-
overarching vision is Hapercook two fourteen. For the earth shall
-
be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord,
-
as water cows the sea. That's the over acting vision.
-
Wherever God places you, whether you're in the marketplace, in
-
a particular community, or even in your campus. We are
-
always always guided by this. How can I be an
-
extension of God's kingdom? How can I be an extension
-
of God's blessing? How can I fulfill even hab two fourteen?
-
Wherever God has placed me in you? See, the greatest
-
purpose I believe in life is to discover God's purpose
-
for you. Anything outside of that will lead to a
-
form of frustration. Anything outside that will lead to a
-
form of non fulfillment. True fulfillment can only come when
-
you fully understand what you are made for. Now made
-
no mistake. We're all wired differently. God has given us
-
different talents, different skill different gifting. But all gifting, when
-
used for God's glory, should be able to be used
-
to fulfill Habakuk two fourteen. Now in the two series,
-
we also sad about how the church is called to
-
make disciples, So we take disciples ship seriously and literally.
-
This church is big in discipleship. I look at Sam,
-
I look at Zubin, I look at as a Steven,
-
I look at all the people in the front row here.
-
These are all disciples of the church, there's all disciples
-
of Christ. And when people come to be part of
-
ex church, the plan of the church is so that
-
you become a disciple and in turn you invest your
-
life to others, meaning you disciple others as well. Discipleship
-
may sound unique to X, but it is not unique
-
to X. It is biblical. So whenever we have people
-
visiting from other churches. Why I say this is because
-
in our years of ministry in Semonia, we do have
-
students coming from out station, and they do come from
-
a different denomination, different churches and all. And when the
-
pastor asked them out, let's go for a meal, just
-
to catch up, just to connect. When the church leaders
-
ask them up, they feel like a bit like it's
-
a big thing because back in the church where they
-
come from, there's not much intentionality pulled into investing into life,
-
into relational discipleship. So this church, whether you are young,
-
you are senior like me without gray hair yet, or
-
whether you are full of wisdom meaning you're a lot
-
of gray hairs already, God has a plan for you.
-
And discipleship is for everyone. Amen. So a mandate is
-
to make disciples. So I'm just doing a very quick
-
recap before we enter into today's series. The first twenty years,
-
God has called us to be a Joseph Church. Why
-
a Joseph Church is because if you know our funding,
-
Senior Pastor, here is a man of dream as well.
-
A lot of social enterprises that Aya has today, a
-
lot of church plans, a lot of things that we do,
-
is a result of the dream that God have put
-
into Pastcano's heart. And why are Joseph Church also is
-
because we are called to be storehouses wherever God has
-
places to be, because the day will come where there
-
will be a famine of the wit. The day will
-
come where people will run to you and ask you
-
to share the word of God to them. So as
-
we begin to plant churches, we are also planting storehousers.
-
So the first twenty years, from twenty to twenty twenty,
-
we are known as the Joseph Church. But in twenty
-
twenty God gave past the leading to read Daniel chapter one,
-
where we are called to be in the next twenty
-
years to be a Daniel's Church. That means to make
-
an impact in the marketplaces, to make greater impact in
-
the community as well. So as you begin to hear
-
this vision. Understand that the vision is not just fulfilled
-
in the church. The region is fulfilled through the church
-
with a lasting impact in the community. A church that
-
doesn't impact the community, a Christian that doesn't impact the
-
community is like a salt that has loses its flavor.
-
And you know what Jesus say is if a salt
-
has los its flavor, it is worth nothing. It is
-
better than nothing. So as a Christian, you have to
-
understand that when we share the vision, the region is
-
not just for the church. The vision is for your
-
personal life, is for your family as well. So it
-
was also during these years where two things you need
-
to understand. In twenty fifteen, God also told us to
-
get our house in order. This is taken from the
-
life of King has a Kaya where King Hazeikaya's life
-
was extended for fifteen years. So in twenty fifteen to
-
twenty thirty, God wants AXD Church to get our house
-
in order. What does it mean? Go back to the basic.
-
If things needs correction, it needs to be corrected now.
-
If the foundation needs to be repaired, need to be
-
polished a bit, we need to get our house in order. Amen.
-
Now today we're going to do the third section, and
-
the keyword is preparation. All right, preparation Daniel Chapter two.
-
We're going to read verses twenty seven to twenty eight. Amen,
-
So let's go in Daniel two twenty sevens. Daniel answered
-
in the presence of the king and said the secret
-
which the king has demanded. The wise men, the astrologists,
-
the magicians, and the sayers cannot declare to the king.
-
But there is a god in heaven who reveals secrets,
-
and he has made known the king Nabuccanesa what will
-
be in the later days. When you read the book
-
of Daniel. In chapter two, you will understand that the
-
king had a dream. And this context is very different
-
from Joseph. When Pharaoh, in a time of Joseph, had
-
a dream, he shared his dream and he asked for
-
an interpretation. No one can interpret it except Joseph. So
-
the dream was known, and therefore the interpretation came. Daniel
-
faced a challenge like no other. It was very different
-
from what Joseph has had faced. In fact, when Nabukeniza
-
had a dream, he did not share the dream with anyone.
-
What he requires of his astrologists his sayers was this.
-
I had a dream. Tell me the dream and tell
-
me its interpretation. Now, let me contectualize this. Many of you,
-
if you've studied, you have been to an exam before.
-
Is equivalent to your lecturer telling you I'm giving you
-
an exam. Tell me the question and tell me the answer.
-
It is im Paul saying Bull's impossible. So but I
-
felt that for ex Church in a coming twenty years,
-
there will be a higher level of challenge that we
-
will have to go through. But rest assured, REGD, nothing
-
is impossible. We are people of faith. Our faith is
-
anchored in God, and for the past twenty six years
-
we have seen the hand of God upon this church.
-
We have done things that only by the grace of
-
God we're able to do. So when you look at
-
even EXE money, I'm trying to contextualize now, when you
-
look at this building many years ago, it may seem impossible.
-
We used to meet at the library down there. I
-
remember those days. We used to me at the library
-
down there. Then we came up here, and it was
-
always on a rant little basis in a sense, it
-
ran on a weekly rental basis. But to rent it
-
monthly almost sam impossible. Back then but today, when you
-
look around, you will see the fingerprints of God testifying
-
that what may seem impossible, He will make it possible.
-
So it was impossible for Daniel and friends should there
-
Michigago to interpret that dream without knowing that dream In fact,
-
Nabaka Chief Astrologists and Sayers says, no, King, it is impossible.
-
Why don't you tell us the dream first? But thank
-
God for verse twenty eight. But there is a God
-
in heaven who reveals secrets as you go through your
-
life this year, and as a church, as you come
-
to plan your homes, as you come to you to
-
move forward in your ministry. I pray we will also
-
say this, though the challenges are ahead of us, there
-
is a God in heaven. Have the church saying this,
-
There is a God in heaven. So Daniel had to
-
tell what the dream was. And then the interpretation of
-
the dream which was impossible for men but only possible
-
for God, which speaks about room for the supernatural, room
-
for the supernatural. This year, we believe it will be
-
a year of a supernatural for you and me. You're
-
going to see the supernatural move of God in your family.
-
You're going to see the supernatural move of God in
-
your marketplace. You're going to see the supernatural move of
-
God in your ministry. In fact, for the past two
-
weeks now, I have been praying for families. The last
-
Sunday of the year, I pray for the families in Eli.
-
I think in pray I was led to pray for
-
the families as well. This year. I want to encourage
-
all of my adult friends here. If you have been
-
praying for your children, You're going to see the supernatural
-
move of God to come upon your children. And I
-
sense the burden of parents calling back their children to
-
the Lord, because there are some children who have perhaps
-
went a bit waved from the Lord. And your heart
-
cry and your desire is for your son, for your
-
daughter to come back to the Lord. And this year
-
we want to believe for you for supernatural intervention. Likewise,
-
I hear the heart cries of children as well, for
-
parents to come back to the Lord, or for parents
-
to come to know the Lord. Remember, God is a
-
God of possibilities, and he is a miracle worker. He
-
is a miracle working God. It will be a year
-
of the miraculous power of God. It will be a
-
year where the spirit of God will move like never before.
-
It will be a year where the GIFs of the
-
Spirit will manifest. In fact, I would like to proclaim
-
also that it will be a year where the fruit
-
of the Spirit should be evident in you and I,
-
because there's no point having the power of God without
-
the character, without the fruit of God to give us
-
a sense of routing. So even as we desire for
-
the supernatural working of God in our situation, we should
-
also desire for the supernatural working of God in our life.
-
So the fruit of a spirit, love, kindness, patience, gentleness, love, suffering,
-
self control, etc. Will prevail in our life. So Daniel
-
opened his mouth and became a vessel, a mouthpiece of
-
God to speak the words of God. You see Daniel
-
and Franscraft remain silent, but the moment he spoke, something happened.
-
So it was in year two O two one where
-
passed downloaded from the Lord that the team back then
-
was prophesy. Prophesy basically means to speak God's word, to
-
speak God's truth and all this must learn and be
-
ready to speak the word of the Lord in its
-
right and proper time. Remember, the power of death and
-
life lies where with the tongue. Where our mouth go,
-
our destiny will go. Where our mouth go, our life
-
will go. And as people of God, we must learn
-
to prophesy. We must learn to speak the word of life.
-
Speak blessing, speak encouragement, speak peace, speak faith, speak healings,
-
speak deliverance, breakthrough, and speak truth, the word of knowledge
-
and wisdom. God will show off his power, but it
-
will have to begain with us speaking. Fourth, we must
-
align to God's word. So God is calling us to prepare.
-
God is calling us to prepare. So it's not our
-
responsibility to bring the ring. It is our responsibility to
-
bring the umbrella. You know, this year, we really believe
-
that revival will come. Even o'clock agrees, and he agrees
-
for eleven times because it's eleven o'clock. We're preparing for
-
revival and the church must be found ready. You must
-
be found ready. Many are believing that Christ's return. Of course,
-
it's it's going to be soon, but when you follow
-
news around, it will be really soon as well. There'll
-
be more challenges. I hit, I think this has been
-
fore told. I wish I could start the new year
-
telling you all good things. I think there will be
-
room for good things, but it will also be room
-
for challenges that are probably unheard of, challenges that are
-
probably mankind I have never faced before. And all these
-
things have been foretold in the Bible that in the
-
last days there will be rumors of war, there'll be
-
greater economical challenges, greater health crisis, more earthquake. For example,
-
you read the news yesterday, you know that the United
-
States decided to just enter into Venezuela. Take the president
-
out out as in like transport to the States. Yeah,
-
not out as in like out. So he's going to
-
face trials in the States. You think about it, ten
-
fifteen years, twenty years ago, no one would have imagined
-
this to have taken place. So how would the geopolitics
-
looks like in this South Caribbean, in South America? Nobody knows.
-
How would it impact world economy? Nobody knows yet because
-
Venezuela has a lot of oil, and you know what,
-
I will affect the oil effects day economy. But one
-
thing I know, God is in control. But it doesn't
-
mean when God is in throw his people are immune
-
from challenges. It just means, as his people, we got
-
to be prepare ring. How should we prepare what should
-
we prepare? Right, so the preparation for the genial hit person.
-
I've encourage us with this five c's some one conviction.
-
Conviction is very important. If we are going to believe
-
something that is worth believing, you've got to believe with
-
all your heart. And conviction is something that it comes
-
from the Lord. If we don't believe, how would we
-
even begin. Belief is a very powerful thing, you know.
-
Conviction is a very powerful thing. To enjoy a great marriage,
-
you need to have that conviction in that marriage. To
-
enjoy your work, You've gotta have a conviction that you
-
are there for the season to enjoy all that God
-
has for you. Even in this church, you've got to
-
be convinced that this is the church for you, because
-
otherwise time passed by very fast. Ten years we are
-
still found doing nothing. Fifteen years we are still found
-
not being a disciple or not discipling artists. Time is
-
flitting very fast. So we got to decide. You know,
-
I sensed that maybe some of us we are like
-
Mount Carmel, We are like the Israelites where Elijah need
-
to confront us and say, if the Lord is Lord,
-
follow him, If Baal follow him. The people didn't answer
-
because in their heart they knew it has to be
-
the Lord, but they were stubborn. So this year, we
-
cannot waver between two opinion because people who waver in
-
two opinion usually will invite a form of tagnancy in
-
their life. When we are stagnant in our faith, we
-
can't grow. We want us to grow, and the place
-
for us to grow is definitely out of the comfort zone.
-
So recently I watched a video where it talks about
-
the comfort zone. This Malaysians chef here we know Cairo
-
a Ming right, he sells his product online within seventeen
-
seconds one million ringeta so his special rundown special Samba,
-
I don't know what, and he's got to open up
-
a restaurant in Rembayon in kl right, very popular chef.
-
So I remember looking at his story, his video and
-
then there's a tech line. You know, the comfort zone
-
is a beautiful place and nothing grows. So this year
-
I felt very strongly then the Lord is asking us
-
to also deal with our comfort zone because the only
-
way for us to grow is to put our faith
-
into practice, and you can only practice faith outside of
-
your comfort zone. When you are in your comfort zone,
-
everything is so nice, everything is so well. Honestly, how
-
do you practice faith? So you gotta practice faith outside
-
of conference zon. If you have never weaknessed to someone before,
-
maybe outside of comfort zone will put you into a
-
place where you share the love of Jesus. Maybe you've
-
never prayed for your coliques before, you've never prayed for
-
someone outside of church before. Maybe outside of a comfort
-
zone is to be praying for people. Maybe we have
-
never served before in this church despite being here for
-
one year, two years, three years. Maybe alsode of a
-
comfort zone is two self being that whatever capacity that
-
the Lord will show you to serve and be part
-
of this church. Because our motto is helping people believe.
-
That has always been the core of what we do
-
to help people believe. This church is always positive. It's
-
always why because we want people to believe that we
-
got all things are possible. So we've got to believe
-
in the vision. We've got to be convicted of the
-
vision that God has given to you and I. The
-
church exists to be an extension of God's Kingdom, to
-
be a blessing to people. Now, second is conditioned or
-
centralized Judges twenty one twenty five. In those days, there
-
was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right
-
in his own eyes. You know, unity is very important.
-
Right if you follow football, you know that you can
-
buy all the expensive players in the world. If they
-
are not united, they won't win championship for you. You
-
know this for families as well, their husband and wife.
-
You guys got to be united. One cannot say, okay,
-
let's send my kids to Chinese school and the other
-
one say Nola International School better. So you're going to
-
be be united agree on something. So unity it is
-
important if we want to move forward. You cannot grow
-
a church without unity. You cannot grow a church when
-
there is no sense of moving forward together because a church,
-
family or organization cannot move forward if we are not united,
-
if we don't see the same things, if we don't
-
believe the same things, if we don't catch the same thing.
-
For example, we are called to be a church planting church.
-
Do we really believe this that we are called to
-
be a church planting church? Or do we say that?
-
Why is is planner? You know we really don't have enough.
-
Why still go out and plan person? I've always discipled
-
us where if we think we have enough, then we plan.
-
Why do we need God? Is when you don't have enough,
-
you hear the voice of God, you go plan. That's
-
when you need God. God will never lead us to
-
a place where we depend on him less. God will
-
always lead us to a place where we depend on
-
him more more. No in judges. In those days there
-
was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right
-
in his own eyes. That means different people will have
-
different standards. Different people will live their life as though
-
it is right. We cannot afford to run a church
-
where everyone is doing things their own way. Otherwise the
-
church will be a place where it is confusing. The
-
church will be in a place where there's no leadership.
-
So leadership is important. This church belief in leadership. This
-
church belief in not just discipleship, in submission as well.
-
That whatever I've downloaded from the Lord, we will run
-
with it for twenty one years. I can tell you
-
we are not a coup. Yeah, because I look at
-
some of your eyes, you're like, this is a cut
-
or water? Why? Everyone were like almost the same way.
-
I can tell you we're not a coup. Okay, Uh,
-
so we've got to be in the same condition. Let
-
me share with you that why we wear what weware
-
is past. I've always disciples us to give God our
-
best in whatever capacity you have. Right, if you can
-
wear your best on a Sunday for the Lord, we
-
will wear for the Lord. Now the best is when
-
you open up your wardrop. If you this is your best,
-
you wear your best all right. Let me give you
-
another condition is like we believe in the power of
-
small group. That means we encourage people to plan small
-
group prayer group wherever they are because that's how we
-
want to also fulfill have Agook two fourteen. So go
-
campus revel and whatnot songs as well. For example, right
-
whenever you go to ex Sneeli, it's going to be
-
the same pool of songs, saying here, you go to xampound,
-
it's going to be the same pool of songs, and
-
fifty percent of the songs will be written in house.
-
Another fifty we will let the worship leader pray and
-
according to the song pool as well. You see, we
-
cannot run a church where you go to xneeli then
-
all the time we sing hymns. Then you go to
-
XPG all the time you do praise song. Then you
-
go to X clang all the time X church songs.
-
Then you go to another church plan ibisha are not named.
-
Watch YouTube and you praise and worship in YouTube, then
-
that is not x so, which means centralization is also
-
important for conditioning, meaning there should be a central communication
-
to all of our ex churches to say that this
-
is how the Lord is encouraging us to do it,
-
and this is how we will be doing it. In fact,
-
to unpack the series is the same you go to
-
x Cybergia today, They're going to listen to the same notes.
-
They're going to listen to the same message because we
-
want to bring the church back to the place of unity,
-
to a place of alignment. And for twenty one years here,
-
I can tell you this is not controller. In case
-
you're wondering what these church are very controlling, No, it's not.
-
It is about albeying what the Lord has required us
-
to do. I've seen all this life as I mentioned
-
these power couples, and of course but Stephen and Ben
-
and different lives here as well. They are your church
-
leaders here. Talk to them, find out from them why
-
they do what they do. They are conditions and when
-
you're aligned to that conditions, everyone will grow together. Amen.
-
But you say conviction comes from the Lord. Conviction comes
-
from the Lord. I cannot convict your heart. But cit
-
even cannot convict your heart, because when it comes to
-
the matter of the heart, no man can convict you
-
and I because the matter of the heart is usually
-
it is true the work of the Holy Spirit. Only
-
the Holy Spirit can convict your heart. Likewise for salvation.
-
You know, like when I reflect back twenty years old,
-
it's the Holy Spirit that convicts my heart to follow Christ.
-
Likewise is the Holy Spirit that convicts your heart to
-
follow Christ. So conviction comes from the Lord condition and
-
centralizing comes from our leaders. That's why when you come
-
to acts as leaders, we give our best. Remember the
-
first series. We give our best so that we can
-
draw the best from others. We give our best so
-
that we become a role model to others. We give
-
our best in the marketplace, be a best example, so
-
that when people look at our lives, it's God can
-
do it for me. God can do it for you.
-
If I can slay this giant, God can slay your
-
giant as well. Say because David, remember David, David slay Golia,
-
and subsequently more giants fell after that. So condition and
-
centralization comes from the leaders. However, even if they are
-
conviction and condition, if there is no cooperation and commitment
-
from everyone, we have nothing. We have nothing, really, So
-
you and I need each other. Really, a vision is
-
nothing without provision, and the best provision God has always
-
been giving to asks is the provision of his people.
-
It's a provision of you and I. So His plan
-
has always been you and I. So we need corporation,
-
We need the church to reach to a place where
-
you want to be part of this revision. You want
-
to be part of the plan for this church. Remember,
-
God has a plan for you. God wants his best
-
in and through you, and God often uses the church
-
to fulfill that in your life as well. Now, the
-
fourth sea is community in community. So God didn't create
-
us to be an isolated being somewhere. God has always
-
birth his church to be social with each other. In fact,
-
when you read Corinthians, when you read I believe his
-
efficients as well that Paul illustrate the church. Like a body.
-
The lake cannot say to the hand, I don't need you.
-
The eyes cannot say to the mouth I don't need you.
-
We need each other, and God doesn't want us to
-
move forward alone or work in isolation. They say, if
-
you want to go far, wait job. They say, if
-
you want to go fast, you go alone. If you
-
want to go far, you go together. So I look
-
at Pascade Rights Academy is a man of faith. Honestly,
-
if he wants to go faster, I would have been
-
left behind long time ago, you know. But because Pastor
-
believed in me, you go and plan you like you
-
do this, you do that. We are able to see
-
the fruit out of Kneeline today, and you guys are
-
one of the fruit from from kneeline. We need each other.
-
It's fun doing things together. Last year, you guys just
-
came back from your getaway not too long ago, a
-
couple of months ago. You enjoy doing things together, play
-
games together and such. It's fun, you know. Excess is
-
a fun place to be in. Seriously, it's not just
-
all about serious matters. Other it's serious, but seriously, we
-
can have serious fun as well, all right. So to
-
be part of a community is to be able to
-
also enjoy each other's company, enjoy serving the lot together,
-
enjoy doing life together. Investing in each other, going and
-
growing together. One goes alone. We take our follow up.
-
We take building relationship seriously as well, because every life
-
that comes to an AX church is not a mistake,
-
is it's divine and the church must do our part
-
to contrue build this community. So community that truly cares
-
is a community that is truly safely, the church has
-
to be the most caring. Lie right, the church would
-
be the most caring. It will be very set if
-
anyone comes to an AX church and they are not remembered,
-
it'll be very set. So we must make it a
-
point that it is every body's business to remember someone.
-
So it's not just the ashes, it's not just the leaders.
-
But if we are part of acts, you make people
-
feel well. Come. If you're a part of acts, you'll
-
make them be connected to the homes. If you're a
-
part of as, you will also be there. Because I
-
have to tell you that X is not a one
-
man's church. It's not everything go to the pastor and
-
everything go to a pasta. These days when people call
-
me a I give you an example. The last time
-
something happened in a schooler. Okay, so people from AX,
-
you like call me, pasta, can you come and pray
-
for this person? The person is spiritually oppressed. It's almost demonic.
-
I say, I'm not going you pray for them, because otherwise,
-
if everything goes to the pastor, where is the opportunity
-
for you to practice your faith? The past will only
-
just grow in the faith. La. But what about you?
-
There is always an opportunity to be part of a
-
community to practice faith. Right. So a big part of
-
community is communication, very important as anyone who is in
-
a relationship, communication is important, right. You have to communicate.
-
So the motivation has to be driven by love. Remember,
-
the greatest of this is love and in you ten
-
twenty seven. So he answered and said, you shall love
-
the Lord your God with all your heart, with all
-
your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,
-
and your neighbor as yourself. Five things that we can
-
learn about love, because it was just encouraging us. Number one,
-
we must look up for one another. You must look
-
up for one another. Second, must also learn to listen
-
to one another and not just take them to speak. LA.
-
If you go to corporate courses, your teach you five
-
level of listening. Some people they listen to reply Some
-
people practice active listening. Some people they are they're just
-
not listening, but you think they're listening. But the highest
-
level is always you listen to understand and to feel
-
all right. So sometimes we also need to listen to
-
news about people around. When you hear someone is not well,
-
when you hear that someone is having a hard time,
-
when you hear that someone don't have enough food to eat,
-
what do you do? Do you just send them to pass? Steven,
-
here's all people to feed, you know? Ah, we must,
-
We must actually step up and rise to the occasion
-
and to meet their needs. Land always ready to stop
-
and be a helping hand and lead right, You must
-
always lead by example and leave a legacy. The greatest
-
gift you and I can give to each other is
-
our legacy. It's just that I know we have parents
-
here as well. Let me say that again. The gate
-
greatest gift you can give to your children is the
-
gift of legacy, which is your relationship with the lot,
-
your testimony in the Lord. One day, if exemoney is
-
no longer in existence, what would the community in Semonie
-
remember you for is as a good gage? One day,
-
if actually life is no longer around. Would people in
-
the community actually remember us. I will be remember us
-
for the things that we have done. But it's a good,
-
good gig. What is the purpose of the church, you know,
-
so leave a legacy. Zachariah seventh nine to ten says, says,
-
a lot of hosts execute true justice, show mercy and
-
compassion everyone to his broad Do not oppress the widow
-
or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. Let none
-
of you plan evil in his heart against his brother.
-
The last say is this, we want to spend this
-
year also more time on training. Right, many of you
-
are aware of Ex Pioneers Preparation School, which is our
-
Bible school. Sign up for these courses, sign up for
-
the module. What we want to do is to see
-
more people equip because on one hand, people can say
-
share the gospel, share about Jesus. On the other hand,
-
if people are not equipped, they won't be able to
-
share it confidently. On one hand, we want people to
-
do small group, but if we are not equipping them
-
to do small group, they won't be able to do
-
small group. So I think training should continue to take
-
place in a greater scalable manner because the goal of
-
training is to make disciples, produce leaders, raise and release
-
Daniels into the marketplace. If we don't teach people to
-
witness in the marketplace, they don't know how. If we
-
don't teach people to work under bad bosses like King
-
the Bulcanesa, they don't know how. In fact, the only
-
way most people know how is to quit their job
-
and move on to the next job. But what if
-
we teach people what does it meant to be resilient
-
in the marketplace? What if we teach people that through
-
your resiliency, God will open doors for the gospel to flourish.
-
I expect this because most of you know in my
-
company for eighteen years. Really now this year I can
-
say eighteen years am I company. So we've got to
-
focus on training because a lot of people they don't
-
know how because they are not trained to know. They
-
are not trained to do right. So it spoken about discipleship.
-
Three things about discipleship before I end, three ingredients. The
-
first one, discipleship is not a programmed Discipleship is follow me.
-
Discipleship is follow me. So discipleship is not about following
-
a program, but about people following people. Dicipe paul In
-
first Corinthians eleven. One says follow me as I follow Christ,
-
and there are very good examples here. Look at ussas Stephen,
-
I look at Samuel. We share similar things. Yeah, we
-
share very similar thing because I disciple them. All right,
-
We're in the same company for X number of years.
-
We travel long distance from ministry. I visited Sam recently
-
because Holy Spirit told me to go visit him. So
-
I took a flight down to jb last Monday. And
-
you know, I understand the price you're paying because JB
-
in is Kanada to do ministry the land is quite wise.
-
So to travel one point to that point thirty minutes
-
forty minutes. And Sam is working very hard for his
-
company and for him to travel to his company and
-
back his long distance as well. But I see that,
-
I see that model. I see whatever I'm doing, you're
-
doing as well, because I travel long distance as well.
-
From Subang Neili this death. I'm gonna tell you that
-
it's not easy. It's not easy. Discipleship is not easy,
-
and without a model, it will be difficult. All of
-
us need a role model. I'm not here to say
-
that I'm the best role model. Far from it. I
-
have my own flaws. You haven't seen my data side,
-
which is reserved for the lot Ah. But all of
-
us need a role model, So follow me as I
-
follow Christ. Second, fit my ship. We should continue to
-
fitfully fit the people that God has given to us.
-
Fit them with the God of God, fit them with faith,
-
fit them with testimonies, fit them with belief. Third, features
-
of men. You know we cannot be affought to be,
-
not going out and weakness to people. The best test
-
of faith is always weaknessing. So let's not get spiritually
-
fat and and only be on the receiving end, but
-
exercise our faith by giving true making disciples. Two scriptures
-
here before I end. The first one is the Great commandment,
-
Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul,
-
and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
-
Second the Great commission, make disciples of all nations. You
-
see the word all in these two scriptures, All basically
-
means everyone. So many years ago God gave Paster this
-
word from small to more. It takes all. What it
-
meant is basically means to grow big. We have to
-
grow small, okay, and it takes everyone to do it
-
because we can't grow too big if we don't give
-
our all, and we need to be ready to give
-
God all, use everything that we have to make sure
-
that everyone we have is on board. So when we
-
talk about discipleship, is how we do it as well. Adquate,
-
equip encourage and empower. So I do you watch the
-
discipleship is also about passing on. Discipleship is about role modeling,
-
passing on. And many of you who are part of
-
our homes before or you have never shared the word
-
in homes. You realize that most of the time you
-
observe your home leader teaching. Subsequently, when you're appointed, you
-
will teach fifty percent. Your homes leader will teach fifty percent,
-
and going forward you'll be on your own. Why is
-
because I do you watch? I do you help you do?
-
I help you do I watch? Likewise, when it comes
-
to preaching as well, I remember when Passus Stevens first
-
started preaching. It's the same you were sent to NIELI
-
we go through that process as well. You see. And
-
by saying this, when we are in church or when
-
we are doing ministry together, it's important for us to
-
open our eyes. It's important for us to open our
-
eyes and observe and learn because the day will come
-
where the Lord will open doors for you. And you
-
cannot say that I don't know how to teach in
-
a home. I mean, for the past five years, Heaven,
-
you've been observing your homes leader, I cannot worship. I
-
mean like for the past ten years you have been
-
worshiping here have wn you observe the worship leader. So
-
nobody can say I don't know. Nobody. Everyone must be observing,
-
and the best person you should observe is the Lord himself.
-
And to observe the Lord is to observe his word.
-
Discipleship is easy when you keep God's word in your heart.
-
Discipleship is easy when you align your purpose to God's word. Amen.
-
So when I say extreme comes up as I end
-
Part three, it's an investment, la friends, Discipleship is an
-
investment of life. Pass a chat before that. The greatest
-
investment you and I can make. It's not in dollars
-
and cents, but it is really in life. The greatest
-
fulfillment is when you begin to see the very life
-
you invest in grow and they do better than you.
-
You see them having that personal relationship with God, you
-
see them taking the call of God. Upon their life
-
and grow. I'm a recipient of passes investment into my life,
-
eldest investment in my life. And I want to end
-
by saying this is there. If you can't remember everything
-
that I sad today, the nose are in the book.
-
Just remember this. We take discipleship seriously. No one is perfect. Friends,
-
you don't have to wait for the perfect man or
-
to show up. And then you say that okay, only
-
you can disciple me. I say, if you're a part
-
of as God has a plan for you, you've got
-
to be part of that plan. Because if you're not
-
part of a plan, you have not coming on board
-
with a plan. Five years can come and go, ten
-
years can come and go, and the question is what
-
have you been doing with your life? Because this church
-
is not going to settle for anything less than what
-
God has asked us to do. It will cost us something, friends, us,
-
It cosses our time, it causes our talent, it causes
-
even our treasure. But remember the Lord says obedience is
-
better than sacrifice. And this church we were disciple to
-
whatever the Spirit of God tells us to do, we
-
will do. Of course, he has to be with godly counsel.
-
You have to be aligned with God's word. There is
-
submission assent.
-
