Unpacking the Vision of Acts Church - Part 3 | Pr Daniel

We hope this message will light up your day.

Now. Just to do a quick recap because it's been

a long time, I may remember what did we cover

in the first part, which I did? Oh anyway, chea

ch it okay. I also looked at this morning part one?

Right we did? Uh? We started off by talking about

why do we need to unpack? Right? Remember I started off,

you know, showing you a glimpse or a picture of

coming back from a holiday. And then we've always got

the things to sort of sort out, you know, from

from from your luggage, and everything has a place to

go and every uh, every item has to be either

clean and then stored away. Right. And the reason why

as we cover why we need to unpack, at least

from a vision perspective, is that we need to understand

the vision so that we can effectively undertake the vision.

And so if you have this particular thank thanks for

putting it up. So we sort of ran through very

briefly like a true Tue train. The first session I took,

we covered touching on all these seven points, so prayer, passion, purpose, practice,

prepare plans and also power in the first segment sort

of run through prayer. So prayer is just in a

nutshell to always seek God for clarity, right, so for

all the answers in his mission, because understand that the

vision comes from God, all right, So ask God those

questions with your heart and have your open mind as well.

And then of course we covered a bit of passion.

Passion is the thing that drives anything, right, drives the

in the perspective of possibilities that God has, so we

see things through his eyes. So we understand that God

wants the best for us. So therefore we will have

the passion to chase what He's shown us, and therefore

we will then be able be able to attain what

He has in store for us in terms of that

breakthrough that he wants for us. Okay, So that's the passion.

We dwell on purpose for three weeks. This is week two, sorry,

Week one, sorry, Part one, Part two and also part three.

Today we're going to cover purpose as well, okay, and

then the rest sorry, purpose and then of course prepare,

I mean prepare okay. Purpose is to live, to live,

to please God, practice of course, apply the word of

God and also remember his promises. Prepare As I mentioned

Session one, we talked about preparing for the harvest. Remember

we covered Peter. There's a miraculous catch, right, a big catch,

so we ought to be ready for the catch. And

then the last part two, which is how I'm going

to focus a bit more because I wasn't around as one,

and also Elder King out, I think he came. We

were doing missions, so we weren't around. But this portion

of it talks about the big vision. And this is

not just a vision that is unique to ask church.

Is the global vision, okay, for any church or any

church of Christ, right, this is the big vision drawn

out from Habercook too, which talks about what remember any money.

If you don't know, look at the book. It's fine,

you know. There is no penalization if you do not

know the answer. But it's all in there, right. So

if you look at that page thirteen, what is to

fill the earth? And that's the vision that's drawn out

from haber Cook, right, how to be fruitful and to multiply,

and to be more specific, what this multiplication is not

just making babies. We're talking about making disciples, disciples of

all nations. And we also diet in a little bit

and talk or rather classify that it's not just the

vision by some mission right, the mission statement, and this

is drawn from Matthew twenty eight as we all know.

So what again, what we do making disciples not just disciples,

but disciples that make a difference.

Okay, that's the recap from that.

Then we also talked about producing pioneers or leaders. Okay,

these are trailblazing church planters, turning every pre believer. These

are people who drop no Christ yet to be believers

and eventually become partners. And then every partner will then

move to the cycle to become pioneers again, to go

out and plan. Why because that's the only way we

can see more disciples reach and we can make more disciples.

And then there's one portion that perhaps most people may

be confused. What is this thing about pioneers to become parents. Okay,

you can replace parents with teachers as well. This is

to then get the pioneers to then teach or show

others how to then you know, become pioneers again.

So it's more like a loop.

Right. So it's like parenting, right, be parent so that

we can teach the newer generations how to then do

life in this specific case to then make more disciples. Okay,

and last but not least, we also to release Daniels,

not myself, but Daniels as in people of influence in

the marketplace, because this discipleship is not just Christians, but

it's to be that in that position, to be able

to be sold in light in your world, wherever your place.

So it's really having dominion in the marketplace as well,

or in other words, being an influence in the marketplace. Okay,

So if you forgot all that, it's fine. The bottom

line is follow me as I follow Christ. That's the

conclusion of segment two or paid part two. And I

think at the end.

So they talked about some stats, some numbers.

Right. You may have heard of a thousand, multiply a thousand.

This is the multiplication model. Don't worry too much or

get too caught about the numbers. The main take home

point for the numbers portion, at least for that particular

part two, is to talk about keep on going or

keep on growing. Right, just like ourselves as well, we

don't have I don't realther we have targets in mind.

Some of us do have very specific targets. But the

idea is to continue on with growth, never stop allowing

yourself to grow. Just how we want to be one

up in this year. It's the same as well. Okay,

that's where the thousand multiply thousand is. So coming back

to part three, Okay, we're still on prepare. So where

are we on. We're gonna be on page twenty one. Okay,

if you want to go there, you can now remember that.

Anybody remember the team for twenty twenty one. For those

of you who have been xd for quite some time,

it's it's in there as well. No no, no, no,

no surprises there, but next slide will help you there.

Twenty twenty one, we declared a year of prophecy. Okay,

what is prophecy? What is prophesying? In a very simplistic

English word, declaring declaration okay. And when you declare, you

have to open up your mouth do something. Okay, that's

a declaration. So in that year, it's drawn out from

Daniel chapter two. Okay. And if you remember the story

in Daniel chapter two, Daniel, not me that Daniel, as

in in the Bible, the Book of Daniel. He was

tasked to, uh, not just interpret the dreams of the king.

Then King Nep because his name is very low.

King Nep.

Not just to interpret the story, but to tell the

king what the story was or what the dream was

before the king even sharing it with him. Okay. So

uh And if you remember Elder King who came in

part two, he talked about the year the twenty years

before the the the the season where X went through

the season of Joseph. If you don't know what I'm

talking about, go to page fifteen. Okay, twenty to twenty

twenty was that year of Joseph, and then twenty twenty

and twenty to twenty twenty story twenty twenty to twenty

forty is the season of Daniel. Okay, So this is

what we're talking about now. And why is this important

is because Joseph had its own challenges back then. He

had to interpret the king's dream as well, but he

didn't have to talk about what the king's dream was.

The mesic dream was shed to him is just interpretation.

Daniel is another level up right, because he has to

know what the dream is and interpret the dream. And

this draws from the scripture. Can you go back to

the worsess to see Daniel answered in the presence of

the king that the secret in which the king demanded

wise men, astrologists, magicians and all those people, there's no essentially,

in a nutshell, there's no way anybody can know or

what the king's dream is. Can you tell me what

my dream was yesterday? Even I can remember my dream sometimes, Right,

it's impossible. But in verse array says, but there is

a god in heaven. So this is the beauty of

that particular passage that talks about Yeah, it just means

that it is crazy. It is impossible, there's no way.

It is a level up from the years of Joseph. Right,

So we do believe that this block of twenty years

from twenty twenty to twenty forty is not just talking

about the craziness of what we've just read there, but

it's talking about leveling up, going up and beyond just interpretation.

Okay, So we are trying to raise a generation of Daniels.

Okay, and we're already in twenty twenty six right now, right,

not done yet.

And yeah, it sounds demanding, doesn't it.

Sometimes you think, hey, so crazy, interpret so high know

the dream, you know, read the person's mind. To some extent. Right,

it's just crazy, but that's what it is. No one

can do it, but there is a god in heaven.

You know what. This is a representation of what Daniel

did to you know, basically tell the whole earth to

King Nep that the knowledge of the glory of the

Lord is basically because you know the story, right, he

told King Nep obviously interpreted the dreams to the dream

as well. And then after that King Nep praise the Lord, right,

and he continued to worship the God of Abraham, Isaac

and Jacob beyond that, so he has actually done all that.

He even declared there is no god like the God

of Daniel. And you know the tree Amygos Shadrack, Miysheck

and a bit neigo. But it just imagine it so cool,

you know, he actually fulfilled that because it's supernatural, so miraculous.

But it reminds again that in twenty twenty one when

Pastor shed this, it was really a declaration that we

are going into a season. Why do I say season,

because it's twenty twenty one all the way to twenty

twenty forty, right, It's gonna be a season where every

year we should expect a level up. We should expect

something bigger. Now, what does it mean my level up?

A year of more power, A year of more when

you see more natural becomes supernatural. Okay, a year that

we see more miracles. Okay, if we forget that. Sometimes

were like, it's just last year again now, and we

start the year like that.

Sometimes, right, this is gonna be last year.

It's gonna be a year that we will see more

of the spirit moving like never before. We talking about

revival this year. But if we are not ready for it,

and we think, oh, it's just the same vision again, No, no, no,

it's not Cau's vision. It can be similar, but it's

something that is exponential. Let's use the word if you

know math, it's like that. N Right, it doesn't stay static.

It's going to be a year that the gives the promises.

All that is written in the Bible will be fulfilled,

will be manifested. But you need to understand it will

come to pass. Right, So don't be so hung up

on just these things. Because these things are all good.

Don't get me wrong, they're fantastic stuff. But if you

look very closely, right, these things cannot be attained or achieve.

If we do not profess, we do not say anything. Basically,

if you close your mouth, if they are chose to

close his mouth, none of this would have happened. Okay,

So we ought to declare, we ought to make statements.

Be ready, you can see in your book there it says,

be ready to open your mouth, become his vessel, be

ready to be his mouth peace. Okay, be ready to

speak words of God. Right, if he didn't open them

his mouth, the king will not know. The king can't

read his mind. Okay. So Daniel had to open his

mouth to speak words of God. So this is the

power here, A right so passed Kenneth in that particular era.

In twenty twenty, he downloaded from the Lord that the

word prophecy was the thing that we are to run with. Okay,

So meaning all of us have to learn and be

ready to speak out when we need to speak up,

to be his instrument right in the right time, the

right words. And when he calls us to now what

you mean by right words, it will be words that

comes from the Lord, right, words of life, words of blessing,

words of encouragement. When someone needs to hear the encouragement,

words of peace, okay, even praying itself. It's also words,

by the way, right, it's also speaking words right, words

of faith, words of healing, deliverance. It can go on

and on and on. There's some examples over there, but yeah,

the Bible tells us that we need to speak life,

speak wisdom, and by doing so, you're showing God's or

enabling God's power to move forth. Okay. And it always

again begins with you and I us, all right, because

if we do not declare, we do not profess, we

do not say anything, all those miracles is just going

to be packed there. It may happen, but it may

not actually happen because you do not profess it. Okay,

you need to speak it to go forth, all right.

So let's go back to King Sorry to Daniel two

twenty seven, where it declares there is a God in heaven.

Can underline that portion there, okay, in your in your bible.

The next slide talks about our responsibility. What do we do?

All right?

God is calling us to prepare, right, so first blank

fill up. God is called to prepare. So it is

not our responsibility to bring the rain, even ok rain

can represent can represent, blessing can represent things that are

about to happen. To prepare for the harvest, it is

our responsibility to bring the umbrella. Now, why umbrella? Why

are we shielding this? Okay? Now you must understand sometimes

when the rain comes, when the blessings come, and it's

too overwhelming, we can also be inundated to some extent

and we cannot function. Right, So this is what we

believe is we need to allow ourselves to be still

focused on the harvest and not be overwhelmed with even

the rain, because blessing sometimes when you're overwhelmed, you cannot

function as well. So that's why we say it's bring

the umbrella. Similarly like what we did last time we

talked about Peter. Right, Peter was ready, The nets were

already clean, right, the nets were strengthened, let the nets down,

But there was also preparation to prevent the nets from breaking.

He called reinforcements. So again, blessing sometimes can burden you

as well. Right, So we need to be ready just

like before. Have those large boats ready? All right, bring

the umbrella. God is tending not to worry about numbers. Again.

Numbers are good, but it's not the most important thing.

It is our part to be focused on what we

have to do or what we are called to do,

which is to prepare to be ready. All right, And

this is what we're saying. Don't worry about a huge vision,

that is a vision that's already caust just be concerned

on what you can do in line with that vision

and that mission statement that we have do your part

in short, okay, because God is calling you to do

your part. Now, how do we do all that? This

is what we're going to be talking about. So we

will prepare just like how we prefer for a journey.

We always have to pack stuff to go. Right now,

we have to unpack what those things that we are

required to help us on our journey. So it's broken

down into five ce's kind of like to use a

lot of these abbreviations and all that. So five ce's okay.

So first C is conviction. Okay, conviction is straightforward. This

comes from God, all right, and we need to also

prepare for it. Okay. Now, let me just start with this.

If we do not believe in something, how do we

even begin? Right? Repeat? What timer? If we do not

believe in something, how can we begin to action on it. Right,

And this is nothing special, not just talking about the

hearts of Christianity. Even from a perspective for a non believer,

if you do not believe in something, you will not

go all out for it.

So conviction is very important, right.

And even for the perspective of a non believer, some

who doesn't know Christ yet, if the person doesn't believe

in it, there is no conviction and therefore the person

will not transform from a pre believer to a believer.

So conviction is very important, right, And even for christian

we need to believe before we can see breakthroughs, blessings

and even visions come to pass. Right. That's why our

motto in church has always been and will still be

helping people believe, right, because that's what unlocks and opens

up the door to breakthroughs, miracles, et cetera, et cetera. Okay,

So that's why it's important to have that conviction. And

I pray that as we start the new year for

thirteen thirty, for your homes, you can put in whatever

homes called as JC one two treat et cetera, you know,

Japanese Fellowship homes, every family, every plant across the Klang

Valley and beyond that's representative extras, even the other churches

around the world. We will always have a heart that

is convicted to run with that vision that God has

in stall for us. Again, it's not a vision that's

unique to our church. Is a global phenomenon, a global

vision for all church to catch. And this is really

to firstly for you to believe and to help others believe.

All right, So that's the first see second c let's

move on all right. Conditions Okay. Now, why it's conditions

important is because there's a bracket there that says the

words centralized. Okay, let me explain a little bit more

about this if you can stop me. If you a

bit confused, just wave, that's fine. But the scripture that

covers this comes from Judges twenty one. Okay. Now, let

me read it first. In those days, there was no

king in Israel, so it's reminding us of the time

that there was no king. This was the time before

King Saul. Okay. So and you can read that everyone

did what was right in his own eyes. So basically,

everyone just do whatever they want to do. La right, now,

do you see a problem with that? Everyone just do

whatever they want to do. Is there a problem? Now,

let me put this into other context. Let's say in

the organization, okay, or a company, everybody just do whatever

we want to do. How lightly is the company going

to succeed in what it's called to do? Probably not? Okay,

probably not. So a church is similar. A church can

never move forward, or an organization will never be able

to move forward. Forget about a vision, even taking the

next step forward strategically, it will not happen when we

are not united. Okay. So the blank there is we

will not move forward or we cannot move forward if we.

Are not united. Okay.

Why because we don't see things the same way, We

don't believe in the same things. We don't catch the

same things. Okay, uh, and don't don't say that even family.

And that's why sometimes in the family, right, myself and

my wife, we had the privilege to disciple two young kids.

Oh but hi, Esher, you're in here today. Escher has

to come out here to make room for more kids. There.

It's his first time with us. Actually it's grown up,

like it's already old enough. But yeah, anyway, I'll be

sharing some secrets here. But yeah, it's very difficult for

us to raise kids right. If the two parents don't

align right, you know, we'll be arguing, you know, what

to do with them, where to send them to school,

how to discipline them, et cetera, et cetera, and whether

to go over see so or not, whether to I

don't know, whether to to to let them have more

screen time, those kind of things like it will not

work right even within the family, and that's why it's

important to have a united front. And we always tell

we're also privileged to be marriage counselors, so we always

tell parents, whatever you need to work out, you work

out on your end, come with unified or united front

once you figured it out, Okay, don't go and figure

it out in front of the kids, all right, because

that's not something they do. So bottom line is, if

you're not united, you don't see the same things or

the same way it, don't share the same values. In short,

it's very difficult to move. And that's why centralization has

its part. Okay, yes, we are many plans, we are

many homes or many small groups, but there is some

value in some organization or some centralization or some conditions

put in place to allow us to move forward collectively

every so far.

All right, So those are the conditions.

Now what does it mean is that whatever that is

heard is downloaded, is interpreted so that we can then

collectively achieve that one thousand multiply one thousand more strategically.

And this is something that's also important to say. That's

why our pastor is quite big on this pastic candifics

founding senior pastor a right foundation. The pastor he essentially

quite a big response on his part because he is

given to some extent the authority or the mandate, right

to or responsibility to not just be the vision caster.

He plays the role of the prophet to receive and

perceive God's will and direction share the vision, and then

also he plays the role of the apostle to then

do some laying of foundation to execute that some of

the plans or to the plans. So it's like the

master architect at the same time. So his job is

to make it clear to others, and our job, as

the local pasta here is also to interpret that or

rather to deliver that coherently across all the other plants.

And that's why we are big on doing this consistently

across all the plants in this season, because we have

to be clear to the people so people will understand

there is no confusion, and that's why unpacking is important. Okay,

So far, essentially we're trying to make things that may

be complicated and break it down on what you can

do on the ground, so there is no way there

could be confusion. And if there is confusion, then this

is where you can go back to your homes leader,

we talk about it and then we can then make

it clear. And that's what centralizing centralizing is important. Okay. Now,

third point we'll move very quickly, all right. Third point

is cooperation. Okay. So first conviction and where say this

conviction comes from the Lord? Right, I can't convict you.

I can't convince you. Past I can't convince you either

or convict you. It comes from the lord. Second condition

is sorry. Second item second sea is the condition or

centralizing that comes from your leaders. Right, can come from

our local leaders. But you must understand at the end

of the day, at the end of the day, all

this cannot amount to anything if there.

Is no corporation on your end.

Mean to say, if number three doesn't exist, you don't

commit to it. You have one, you have two. What's

the point You can't proceed from there? We will amount nothing.

So what is this? It means corporation from each and

every one of us. Okay.

Otherwise it's just a nice sounding vision.

Or we can put nice posters on the wall, which

we have done in the past. We can create good

bun things, we can have good textbooks, et cetera.

What's the point, right if you do not want to run.

With it, or you don' not on the corporate or

or even your leaders can be talking about it over

and over again. No this week, next week, next homes,

the next homes, next year, et cetera. Nothing gets done

if you do not act on it and commit to it. Okay,

so you need to commit to it, all right? And

the next point here is says a vision is nothing

gain highlighted word, nothing without provision. Now what do you

mean my provision is? Because who are the ones that

can you know, work on the corporation or commit to it?

Is the people. So just like in a company, people

are precious commodities, right, pre people are the ones that

drive the organization. You guys, are the ones that actually

drive the growth or the discipleship, making business all right,

because if if you are not active in committing, nothing

gets done. Like I said, and that's why God always

provide people, I believe. Okay, if you don't do it, unfortunately,

somebody will do it all right. And and we may

sound saying God has always used people. He can just

snap a finger because he's God. But he doesn't he

always want to use people. He can, of course, there

are systems and strategies and all their instructions, but at

the end of the day, he still uses people till

this day. Sometimes I always wonder, like I said, I'm

a I'm a science ye kind of person. I always

wondering why why would God use people that are so flawed? Right?

People that imperfect? Right? I come into this year also

knowing that you know, there will probably be people that

will hurt along the way from today till and thirty

first of December. And people were like, you know, this

isn't like the way he says things or the way

he you know, we are flawed. But God's too users

flawed people. Why. I don't know, You're gonna ask him

one day, but needless say, you need to be convicted,

you need to be committed and start cooperating as well,

all right, because otherwise we will not get anywhere. Okay,

that's the third scene. Okay, all right now third one community.

This is the beauty of it, right. Uh. It's as

simple as that God doesn't want us to move on

our own. We are right from the beginning, we are

not desired designed to operate alone. Even as early as

the days of Adam. You know, there's always another person

that is introduced into the picture. So never feel that

you're alone. You've got your circle here the church. Okay,

you've got some of you are in a disciple relation

or here we got it huddle. You know how you

got your huddle people to help your You're your homies

to encourage. You're not meant to go alone. Your church

plan is here to support you as well. So no one,

not any leader, not any disciples is is required or

other is expected to work in isolation. That's what community

is for. And simply put it what we see here.

You might think that, you know, one thousand, multiple one thousand.

Is a very huge thing.

You may ask, you know, pastor how do you get

this done right? Embracing this whole pasta title thing and

like it took me about a year. But it has

to get there because start calling me that, I think

I also have to start accepting that. Okay. Anyway, you

are asking, you know, how does it get done right?

How do we get there? And the thing is that's

where community works. I'll give you a simple example. Now,

new year, new resolution, right on, a lose weight?

What do we do? Go to the gym? How sustainable

do you think that is? If we go alone?

I can tell you for the many many years I've tried,

going alone doesn't work. Okay, I need some of the motivated.

And that's what community is for as well, is to

encourage one another. Give you an example. You know, me

and my wife we always talk about, you know, eating healthy,

et cetera. But those of you who knows my wife,

she likes to eat. She but she does eat a lot.

She just likes a lot of variety. So I end

up being the the disposal system anyway, So I eat

more because she orders more, and I keep telling her,

you know, we need to control and so it's like this.

We need to be in alignment and in agreement to

make something well. And that's what you know a pair

is for. Or even fasting. Right, you're coming to a

season fast very soon as well. You know when we fast,

we fast together, it's more effective. Right, So this is

what it is. We can grow you can go and

grow together better, all right, not alone, but do it

better in a community, all right. So it's also stated there.

All right, we need each other. I need you and

you need me. To tell your neighbor I need you, okay,

I aren't able to I need you too, all right.

You need to help each other, all right, because it's

more powerful when we do things in the community. When

we do things together, there's more accountability and nobody should

go alone. Okay. And this is what commitedity actually means,

simplistic sense. Committee is support. Like I mentioned, you keep

each other accountable. We keep each other in check. I

need you and you need me. And saying a bit

better as well. Now I'll take a pause from this.

I'll tell your story. Okay. Some of you may know

that we had a we had a large dog by

the name of Hammer. Okay, just reminded because we had

a dog to a party not too long ago. And

it's actually my dog is a bit larger than your dog.

And I believe you or not. Anyway, the story goes

we were based abroad, uh in Australia, and then we

brought the dog back. Okay, so the dog took a

flight back anyway, another story from the time, but when

he is in Australia when it's much younger.

I used to have a wooden fence.

And just in case you think the wooden fence about

this toll knows about about this toll. Okay, I used

to have to tiptoe on the wooden fence to talk

to my neighbor.

Okay, that's how high it is. Now, what is the

fence gonna do?

My dog?

My dog can clear the fence about this high.

Okay. So my dog Hammer has been notorious around the

neighborhood for the dog that jumps the fence, and as

you know, it becomes very difficult for the dog owners

to control that because we can't dictate when he chooses

to jump the fence, et cetera. But they know where

the culprit comes from. As in my neighbors where notorious,

you know where it comes from. And they're also very

kind to help us with the dog bring him back

because our side gate is not lot. So it's just

opened the gate, put the dog back in the backyard

and hopefully doesn't jump the fence again, but sometimes you'll

jump again. But anyway, long story short, that's what community

is for. It saved these heaps because every time the

dog gets caught h it's a hefty fine. And not

only that, our dog is not too friendly with other

dogs as well, so if another dog is hurd you know,

there's another story for another day. Okay, you may be

put down to sleep. So essentially we're very grateful for

community that is there. And but I realized from that

particularly incident the power of community. And these are just neighbors,

people that you that maybe you're you're not so close to,

but close enough strangers, but you know, neighbors, neighbors literally neighbors, right.

But you see, if a community is there for you,

it allows you to do or operate a bit more comfortably.

Like I said, I thought the rush I used to

rush home last time when I get a call from

work that the dog has jumped the fence again. You know,

but like I said, I also live in there. Just

given contexts. I live in a retiree street, so a

lot of people a lot of time they they.

Roam around the streets more often, so.

They they are the guy, the people that are always

watching the neighborhood. How come that's a random car that

is not recognized and that.

It is a retireing street. But yeah, it also gives

you a sense of security.

Right when you have a community that watches over your

your place, your dog, your property, et cetera. You feel

safe walking, You feel safe even at night walking. And

this is what is meant for community. It is meant

to provide that care, to provide that safety. Right. And

if that can happen in a non non Christians, I think,

let's put it this way, want more a church, right.

The church is also meant to be a safe place.

A church community is meant to be the ones that

pick you up whenever you need help, to support you

whenever you need help. And why because, as we declared earlier,

God is love, right and church is a representation of

love as well. So this is the place to do that.

And the big part of community is communication. So let's

get better at this next light. The motivation of community

is love, as we declared earlier, right, and this comes

from Luke ten twenty seven and Luke ten twenty seven

is the greatest commandment. You shall love your God what

with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength,

all your mind.

Love your neighbor as you love yourself.

So how talking about neighbors, neighbors, friendly neighbors and all that,

it's to live for neighbors. How many you know your

actual neighbors. I'm trying to know my neighbors. I think

I know at least six neighbors now have their phone numbers.

But you know it's not easy, right, you need to

do something to to do that. But again, it's biblical

to love your neighbors, all right. However, whatever neighbor can

mean to you, all right, but very quickly, let's draw

five things from this about this community thing, okay, and

it comes from the next light.

Okay, thanks? Thanks.

That defines love. So number one, love looks up for

each another. Right. Love is not calculative. Right? And not

only that, love motivates you to listen to other people.

How many you know that if you do not listen,

you will not know how to support or how to help.

You need to listen first, So listen, carefully, listen properly.

So I think we need to gear ourselves up to

be always having a listening ear okay. And of course

neighbors or love is the thing that drives us to

then extend our hand, to lend our hand, to put

our hand out. So what this means is that we

are to be always ready to help when we can,

like just as my neighbor, the two retirees are always

there because the first thing that happens is that the

dog will jump into their backyard, and their back yeard

has no gate, so the dot runs out of the

front yard. Okay, So be always ready.

To lend the hand.

And like I said earlier, the world is a dark place,

right and the most caring committee should be the church.

Why because we are love.

We are made from God's image, out of God's image,

So therefore the church should be the safest place on earth.

Right because this is a community that saved. This commedy

that grow is a comedy that loves, so we ought

to do that right now, let me just talk very quickly.

Everybody is familiar with the Tower of Babel the story, right,

and that is of course not the good positive representation

because Tower Babyl, if you know, it was built and

God himself recognized the power of the united front that

they come together to achieve something. Right. You know, they

were building the uh, they were building upwards, and then

God was saying, oh, these people are when they're united,

they can do anything, even the impossible. Right. So of

course then you know the story, God gave them different language,

they got confused, and then they were.

Not so united because they canno speak the same languages.

So communication is very important, right, So if you turn

that around and look at the positive side, if we

are united as one and we continue to communicate, because

communication is the one that actually helps us be more united.

The moment you lose communication, you lose unity.

And the moment you lose unity, then it's hard to

be an effective living community. Okay, so that's where we are.

We need to always not just be ready to learn

the hand. We all need to hear them out. We

need to love them.

We then need to you know, really communicate that love.

Right now, last two points on that is to lead

and lead uh and leaving a legacy. Let me just

explain that in a bit. Okay, Now, let me think now,

helping people, you cannot be superment every day, right, Sometimes

there are days that you don't have to don't have

to save the world. There's nothing for you to save.

But it doesn't mean that you let your guard down

and do not be good, uh be at your best behavior,

you say right. I often get told this that I'm

the one on the more patient bosses at work that

somehow when people wrong me or so, I don't snap

like a normal, normal person. And it makes you wonder why.

I mean, I ask myself why, But actually I find

that I don't need to. There are other ways to

to to do that, and that that that reminds me

about leadership even in the workplace as well, because to lead,

it doesn't mean that you just do the the worthy

approach right. And and that's why I meant it doesn't

mean that you're continue having to save the day or

do something. You can actually have the opportunity to lead

continually every single day. What does this mean is to

live right, talk about righteousness right before, to live right,

to do things. And it's not because there is a

pastoral role or whatever is. People don't know I'm passing

book sometimes, but I stend to live right because they

know I'm a Christian right and this is what he

needs to do. And finally, we need to want to

leave a legacy. So that's why four and five actually

goes hand in hand. What does it mean that when

we I sometimes I know it's a very morbid taught

by sometimes question question this. If there's one day I disappear,

will anybody miss me? I know it's a very morbid

taught but it's something that is a hard check for

myself as well. Will people miss me when I'm gone,

or when my family's gone, or when my all the

leaders here are gone, for example, will they miss us? Right?

And that is a hard check to see whether we

are leaving a life legacy here. All we are trying

in constantly building to leave a legacy here. And that's

my motto is so when I engage my kids, I

don't just do parenting.

I want to leave a legacy.

So that's very important, right, So the question to reflect

really next line is to see have you experienced love before? Secondly,

have you then shown this love? Because love is important.

Otherwise I think we are missing the point of why

we are here on earth all right, okay, and even

the Ten Commandments talk about this all right, teaches us

how to live right, how to love right within a community.

Okay.

Now I'm going to quickly jump to Zacharaia. Okay, you

look at Zacharia over there, nine to ten. So I'm

going very fast because I've got a lot to cover.

This book is very thick. Okay.

I know every time I slotted here, right, they give

me the most content to go through other kings is

very short, right, shorter? Anyway, just bury me, okay, bury me.

The reason why you were to carry on is because

the next person who comes in has to then be

able to take over.

So I need to finish. But anyways, Zecharn nine to ten.

That says the Lord of hosts, execute, execute true justice,

show mercy and compassion. Everyone to his brother. Do not

oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor.

Let none of your evil. Now you plan evil in

his heart against his brother. Okay. So God, even in

this scripture here is always about community, right, It's always

about what's important. How to live right, how to live

in harmony, how to live right in short, live with people,

and the ten commments like this right, the first you know,

the first four commonments is about God and us, the relationship,

and then the balance of it is about us and

our neighbor, right, It's all about love. Right. So God

wants to make sure with all these instructions of safeguards

in place, is to help us to be effective in

our society.

In short.

Okay, why because if it works for him, then it

will also apply and work for us to this day

because that is his heart. He loves people and we

need to love people. Otherwise, Yeah, we cannot cannot function.

And God has always been As I mentioned to you earlier,

we're still in the topic of team that we are

working together. A committee is there to help you work together.

Even God himself, the you know, operates in the team. God,

the Father, the Son, and the holy ghosts, right, three

of them. They work in the team as well. So

if he can wait in the team, I think we

should embrace the team. Team, team workler Okay, Uh, He

expects it of us because again we are built in

his image, so therefore we are not meant to work alone. Okay.

So that's the fourth C. Okay, fifth seen now five

What's the first sea conviction? Check a textbook. It's fine, okay.

Second one condition all right, condition, third corporation, fourth community. Now,

all this, like I said, has to come hand in hand.

And then we come to our fifth sy which is college. Okay,

why college, we asked past the seees the church, so

the platform to teach, or rather to be more specific,

to train. So it's always been a place where we

emphasize equipping.

Okay, equipping.

Some of you who have been XD for a while,

you have heard of this ex Pioneer Pioneer Preparation School

or APPS. In short, there is a place think of

it like a Bible school. Okay, why because we want

to equip people to then go out and make disciples

in short. Okay, Now I know that there is a

time where we're here in the early days, we send

people out without much traine and then you know they

come back not as fruitful as they could have. And

past also acknowledges that in the early days there was

just so much need so just senden and sent. But

we realized that we to make it more effective, we

need to also train and send, and that's why there's

a lot of emphasis and focus on this someway. We

heard of Mordecai training that's led by Elder roles. There's

also a lot of training materials being put there. So

in short, X is very big on investing into training

right now, but always like hey, why I do not

training or why to go to the courser? Is to

equip us to be better in what we do, all right,

Just like how in the companies there's always areas that

you can have professional development. This is development in training

to allow us to train well before we send you

out in whatever capacity that you so that when you

go out you're more confident for what God has called

you to do. Amen, amen, Okay, so uh so what okay?

So ultimate goal of training, which is the college or

in brackets, training is to help train people to then

know how to make disciples, to produce leaders, and to

raise and release more Daniels into the marketplace.

That's the ultimate goal. Okay, now, and we catch all that.

Take a deep breath, Okay, allow me to take a

breath as well. I'm only halfway through. When no, no, no

landing and the landing Okay, Now, the next part is

about discipleship. All this transitions towards discipleship. And before I

finish on and talk about this, everyone knows that last

year we spend heaps of time focusing on disciple first, right,

and it's not going to change. You think that in

training since we're going to stop that. No, we're going

to carry on right. Change any one material is still

relevant today, right, change any five materiality relevant today because

it's a continual process, right until we reach until all

have heard? Right now, the question is the big question

is how do we make disciples? Right? And we covered

a fabit of it, but the question remains, how do

we make disciples? Now? There are three basic ingredients, or

let's just say, three phrases that we can put together

to encompass the quote unquote discipleship program. Although I don't

like to use the program because disis is not a

programmed by the way, Okay, but let's just loosely use

the word program. It's the three basic.

Ingredients or three phrases. Okay, First one, number one?

Follow me? How many of you were born in the

era that you know what? When you're here, follow me,

you think about something else? Old people, I used to

remember that, follow me shampoo? I don't know. Look at that. Yeah,

it's the jingle stel rings in my head. Anyway, For

those who don't know good spear from it. But yeah,

there's power in follow me. See strange right anyway, But

Jesus said it conflident about it, so I think therefore

we need to also say it as well. Right, that's

the discipleship motto, right, And it's not rocket science. Right.

You don't have to read a book about it, literally,

just follow right, study somebody. And why is it important

is because we're not asking to read books. Although there

can be books that teaches you how to do it better.

There can be programs. But again, discipleship is not a

programmed Like I said earlier, Discipleship is about people, right,

and more specifically, discipleship is about people following people.

As simple as that, okay.

And the reason why we can do things more effective

is that you follow me or you follow somebody who

is following Christ.

Okay, let me give your examples. Are you example?

A last time, a long long time ago, when just

came into leadership, she was like, Hey, how am I

going to do this whole leading people, leading bibles, Bible

study and all that. And I remember that just just

just tech teamler, you know, so I think they did

some tech teaming. I mean, now she's like flying solo

and so effective and what she does. In fact, I

think she's doing a lot better than us these days.

I mean, but this is exactly that, right, you work together,

you follow, and then you learn. Many years ago as well,

if you remember Jessica David back then, we were part

of the I think it was Saturday evening service. They

were a whole bunch of campus students came over and

these campus students were all young, but we needed to

train them up to then do more things right to

help them grow as well. So I remember co chairing

with with her, Jessica David back then, and after that

she's she's gone and did her own chairing and all that.

But this is exactly you work together to to to

apply this model of following me. And it's very powerful

these towards follow me, because this is the disciples ship motto,

all right. And not only that, anything can be applied

by just following. It can happen in a small group setting, homes,

can happen in a church setting. Even I think the

extreme they have what's the term that you guys use

to observe observation, I don't know, Yeah, yeah, they observe

for a while, they follow they look okay, and it's important. Now.

Second thing is feed my sheep, right, feed my sheep.

Jesus is very big on feeding sheep, feeding, so we

should be as well. And Christianity is about feeding sheep.

We're all sheeps, myself included, okay, and that's the discipleship model.

And we continue to feed our sheep no matter what.

So it's very important, especially for leaders. Continue to feed

your sheep, continue to speak into their lives. All right,

I'm not expect to.

Much on that.

Last one is fishes off men and women to use collective. Okay, yeah,

follow me, let's focus ship, keep feeding people, feeding your sheep.

But at the same time, why is fishes of men

important is because if you do not have the third

point and you continue just one and two one and two,

one and two, right, we will grow with a fat,

fat sheep that will just top all over. Okay, Because

we also need to uh not always been received in

the exercise of faith. Right, there's reason why you use

the word exercise your faith otherwise you be uh spiritual,

You've being spiritual gluttony Okay, yeah, you need to make disciples,

need to keep one witnessing, right, how do you take? Take? Take?

Nothing is given and here in XS for those who

hear a lot long enough. You know, the fifth w

is witness. Okay, what's the first few worship world? Uh?

Warmth okay, Uh, works at works and witness the third story.

The fifth one has to always be active, otherwise will

be spiritually very fat.

Okay.

So yeah, need to continue to win more souls, share

the gospel. God has blessed us with a strong capacity

to actually do that. Sometimes we keep thinking we are small,

we can't. Uh.

You know, it's it's somebody else's job.

But it's not. It's everybody's job. You are a person

that is ready for fifth gear. Fifth gear is the

fifth w By the way, you're not always stuck in

first gear. You know you need to think, although I

only energy, my v is a king of the road.

Right you my week also go fifth gear and you

go faster than any of the lighter sports car these days.

You know you need to think like a fifth gear person.

But in the exercise that faith of going the fifth year?

All right, now, where is all this from? Uh is

grounded or is founded in this foundation of the Great

Commission and also the Great Commandment? The Great Commandment we

read earlier. Okay, what is the great commandment? Love the

Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,

with all your mind, and with all your strength. Okay,

And what is the great commission to make disciples of

all nations? If you notice something right, coincidentally, the word

all exists in both those greats right or in highlight

a Bible, and then make disciples of all nations. Right.

And so that is something that I think Pastor picked

up a long time ago. And again, if you're here

long enough, you eld heard of this expression from small

to more to all that comes from that, all right.

It's a player of words. I know you've got all

in small, you've got all in mall, and of course

you got all in all right. And and what does

this actually mean is that it's everybody's involved, every talent,

every investment of time, every time you take out your treasure.

That is, you're all okay. So nobody is exempted from it.

It's not just for a select few. Everybody can get involved.

And that's why Pastor has always sheard that we are

to go out in this small group's small plants. We

have sixteen plants in the Klan Valley right now, by

the way, and counting there is some new work happening

in East Malaysia, right yeah, very soon, So yeah, we

might have our next plant in East Malaysia. And we're

not gonna stop there, right because that is how we

are to go to it, right way, Mass is going

to every location.

This is what models Islam.

But how do we get there? Is to when we

give our all and will never grow. Sorry, you will

never be able to grow from small to more if

you do not give out all. Is the summary here.

So how many times have you given you all? How

much have you been holding back? There's a reflection on yourself.

And again I hope that the Lord convicts you, and

I hope that you can run with this because you know,

just focus on the people around you. Whoever's in your huddle,

whoever's in your home, your circle, your workplaces, that is

your missions, feel, that is your So no one has

left out. Everybody's important and there's no coincidence that person

is placed there for you to reach.

Okay, so just give you all.

Now, last few points, I'm gonna land here already there

are four e's. Now those freak out althn't be too

caught up with all these abbreviations. Okay, again, it's all there,

so it's not about memorizing. You can go and read

about read on it by yourself, okay, on your own.

But more importantly, these are just some key takeaway messages

to how to be effective in discipleship.

Okay.

Pastor summarizes into four ease, educate, equip, encourage, empower. Let

me explain number one. Be educated so mean to say,

I do you watch? Okay, just like how like using

Jessica's example, you know, just do so observe and then

eventually it becomes the second part there where she do

you help fifty percent? She she co leads the word,

et cetera. And the next part is that she takes

on more. Right, she does more, and then there is

a Then Jessica becomes the encourager that supportive role. And

lastly Jessica backs off. I back off, h empower. You

go and do your thing right you do, I watch,

but if you need help, we can come in. And

that's the beauty of it. It's how we can continue

this and then we can It's it's most sustainable. It

grows right, it grows this way, and we've seen so

many become who you are today, myself included as well.

I was a product of a lot of painstaking discipleship

over the years, the trusts, even the pastors or rather

the leaders before past the Cannison and Sandra invested in

my life. There was a product of all that, right,

So yeah, it's no coincidence that God has placed these

people around you to allow you to be disciples. So

just don't resist discipleship. And you can see, you know,

just himself did this right. He was big on discipleship.

He did a lot of things by example. He don't

just give you information, he shows you how it's done.

And then Peter eventually tried to do things like you

even try to raise people from the dead, you know,

just like how Jesus did. Right, Because it's about this

just modeling learning, okay, and discipleshit is about watching, watching

a person and learning.

And again these are the different steps.

Okay, now.

I'm learning here, So last light right?

Good?

Or second last light?

I sure?

Last light?

I think so, Really it is about watching. So the

question is if you have not done what you're called

to do, or you think you don't know how to

know how to do? Have you been watching?

Is the question here? Have you been observing?

Because not everybody will just all of a suddenly become

that person. Even in roles like, for example, the hospitality team,

they watch try and know you see you know you model.

But have you been watching?

Right? So this is the encouragement to all let's watch.

But of course on this end we try to do

and teach. You can't just teach his teach but not do.

Because then we also not be better at what we do.

So yeah, let's just focus on doing and teaching because

it's actually publical, all right. Jesus did it. Jesus not

only taught, he also did it right, He taught the

disciples how to do it. They watch and eventually they

did it or they did what Jesus did.

And that's what discipleship is all about. That's the formula.

Let's use the word formula.

That worked then. I'm quite sure the formula will work

today as well. Okay, so let's embrace this. Well, now

I'm going to end here and draw to close. Extreme

can come up already?

How do we do that?

Oh? Okay, say got some time? All right, fancy my

thing of this as an investment. By the way, the

last point, there is an investment. Now, what I mean

my investment is that you know, we talk about tithing.

The concert of tithing is always that ten percent, right,

the ten percent is not restricted to finances, Okay, it's

your time, your talent and everything else in that pool.

There is an investment.

I recently up my personal private cover medically to another level,

even though I don't need it. Actually, funnily enough, I've

never used it for that shootler. I never used it

for so many's cost our company cover both myself and

just quite generously so. But I just revisited just in case, right,

the personal side, just in case I lose my job

or whatever. You know. But one trying to say is

that you must think of it as investment, right, because,

like I said, you're looking at the product of people

that have invested their time, their talent, even their treasures.

Many many years ago, I think I shared a story

about my one of my disciples in.

Australia. They spend a lot of.

Time on me and that seed that was planted, because

discipleship is about seeding us over right, that seed that

was planted will continue to grow sometimes it's not the

same person who continues to water and let it flourish

and grow. But if the person sees it as like, hey,

what's the pointer, It's only ten percent? Why am I

wasting my time on this person? And sometimes we're like that,

we're selfish, we do not love people, we do not

think it's relevant. But you and I have heard stories,

even the great Billy Graham story. Right, it's always a

seat from somebody who is just obedient in tiding that

ten percent because they see it as an investment that's

even bigger than the monetary investments that sometimes we are

more focus on in life. So, yeah, as we draw

to a close, if there's any investment that you want

to put in, won't you just give this a goal?

You know, this is a lifetime innagement that cannot be

traded for anything else and cannot be robbed by even

the enemy. So won't you just sow into the people

that are around you? Won't you just continue to disciple

those that you have access to that you know I

waning don't have access to if you just be obedient

to sow and invest your ten percent. So the last

reflection point is, of course I said that have you

been watching. If you're watching, have you learned from it?

Have you applied it? And won't you just try it

and do something about it because it's going to be amazing.

Let's start the years strong by making that commitment right.
