You're listening to a message to go from AX Church.
-
We cook this message will light up your tea.
-
In session four, which is the plan. But before I
-
go any further, let us recap the vision of X Church. Okay,
-
and this is the big vision. Can anybody tell me
-
what's the big vision? Say loud, come on, have a
-
cook two fourteen. Okay, have a cook two fourteen. Maybe
-
can put the verse up. Let's all say this verse together.
-
Here we go one, two, and three. For the earth
-
will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of
-
the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Amen. So
-
this is the big vision of ex Church. Have a
-
cook two fourteen. If you forgot everything or anything we
-
said throughout the entire four sessions, make sure you at
-
least remember this. Okay, this is the big vision of
-
ex Church. For the earth will be filled with the
-
knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters
-
cover the sea. That is what we want to see,
-
and that is what God has thought, that he is.
-
The knowledge of the glory of the Lord will feel
-
the earth. Every corner of the earth needs to hear
-
about the Knowledge of the Glory of the Lord or
-
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Amen. And another verse that
-
we also be kept in our homes is found in
-
Genesis chapter one, verse twenty eight. Okay, I'm going to
-
read it to you. It says, then God bless them,
-
and God said to them, be fruitful and multiply feel
-
the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish
-
of the sea, over the birds of the earth, and
-
over every living thing that moves on the earth. Okay.
-
So that is Genesis chapter one, verse twenty eight. And
-
of course we are saying that not just be food
-
for multiply in terms of physically with babies, but by
-
making disciples. Amen, by making disciples. But the keybord is
-
is to fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion.
-
Have dominion. And if you remember that we mentioned about dominion,
-
it speaks about influence, okay, is to have influence over
-
the earth. And in our case, is in Malaysia, okay.
-
Or if I can break it down even smaller, is
-
in some Mania. Okay, It could be in some Manya.
-
It could be in your marketplace, it could be in
-
your house, your family. You know, your school, your campus
-
is your classroom. Okay. If you break it down even
-
smaller and smaller and smaller. Okay, all right, So I'm
-
gonna now recap the part three okay, Part three which
-
is last week, which was done by Passor Ronson. And
-
so now we are preparing for the for the next
-
twenty years. Okay. How are we preparing for the next
-
twenty years? And he gave you five seas? You remember that. Okay.
-
If you open your book right now, you will see
-
the five seas there. Okay. Can you tell me what
-
the five seas? Conviction, condition, cooperation, community, and college. Okay.
-
So these are the five seas in which we need
-
to prepare for the next twenty years. Okay. So the
-
reason why we say twenty years because the first twenty
-
years was year two thousand to year twenty twenty, whereby
-
we were a Joseph Church. You remember that we were
-
Joseph Church. We were really dreamers back then. You know,
-
we had very little, but yet we dreamt a lot.
-
And you know, we were small, but yet God did
-
great things, you know, in and through our church. And
-
the next twenty years is the Daniel generation or the
-
Daniel Church, which is from year twenty twenty to year
-
twenty forty. Okay. So this is what you're referring to
-
about the next twenty years, the five seas. Okay, so
-
let me be kept quickly. Conviction speaks about what we
-
believe in, okay, what we believe in. And you may
-
have heard us say before that the vision is caught,
-
not taught. Okay. You gotta see it, you gotta believe it,
-
and you believe it by catching it, okay, because we
-
can't really teach it. You know, you can teach it,
-
you can. You may or may not understand it, but
-
you may walk away not believing it in it, and
-
you will not do you any good. But a conviction
-
is powerful when you actually believe it, and when you
-
actually catch it and see it being possible, you see
-
it done, you know. And a vision will never come
-
to pass if we do not believe, okay, if there
-
is no conviction okay. And that is why the motto
-
that we have in the extra is called helping people Believe.
-
Somebody say event helping people believe. And you actually can
-
find the motto at the back of the book if
-
you actually look at the logo behind okay. And that
-
is our motto okay, and sometimes you share it as
-
our mission, which is to help people believe. So that's
-
the first see conviction, we must believe in order to
-
see a vision come to pass event. The second thing
-
is this condition okay. Condition actually also means sensualized. So
-
we need to set a condition in which everyone needs
-
to be on the same page, okay, so that everyone
-
understands the same thing, we speak the same lingo, you know,
-
and so that we are on the same page. Because
-
if you look back in the Book of Judges, the
-
Bible actually says that everyone did what was right in
-
their own eyes. And even though that that sentence sounds
-
doesn't sound so bad. Right, everyone did what was right.
-
But did you know that right and wrong? It's very subjective,
-
you know. Did you know that in different generations, certain
-
kind of cultures may be right, but in Malaysia it
-
doesn't seem so right, you know. So where do you
-
define the moral standard? How do you define it? You know?
-
It's very subjective. Of course, you and I know that
-
we have the moral compass, which is the Bible that
-
is unchanging. It never never changes, right, It's it's immovable,
-
you know, And but for the world it's it's very subjective.
-
So we need to be on the same page. You know,
-
we don't want to have a church whereby everyone does
-
what is right in their own eyes, otherwise we will
-
get in trouble. So we need good condition. We need
-
to be sent for lives. Amen, there's a second sea condition.
-
The third sea is cooperation or another word for that
-
is commitment. So many, if you know, without corporation and
-
without commitment from everyone, we have nothing. We will go nowhere,
-
we can share all we want and share our hearts out,
-
but without cooperation and commitment we have nothing. A vision
-
is nothing without provision. Let me say that again. A
-
vision is nothing without provision. And I have to say
-
the provision that God has given us is people, people,
-
you and me. That's why we are part of this vision.
-
And we need to cooperate and commit to this vision
-
so that we can see the vision come to pass.
-
And what is the vision again? That the earth will
-
be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the
-
Lord as the waters cover the sea. So can you
-
see that every one of us here has a part
-
to play in this big vision. Amen. The fourth sea
-
is community. And you and I know that we are
-
not made as creatures to be solo. Right, None of
-
us love to be alone, even though some of us
-
are introverts. And even then, we still like to have
-
some friends now, right, you know, maybe we don't like
-
to have friends in a big circle, but you will
-
love having one or two very close friends one okay,
-
And I know someone's insurance may be maybe you know, smiling,
-
you know, and I was. I was also insured in
-
the past, but after being an access for almost fifteen years,
-
I would say I'm more extra worted now. We can change,
-
you know. But yeah, the point is we are not
-
made to be alone, to be solow. In fact, a
-
Bible actually says that it's not good that man should
-
be alone, you know that starting Genesis. Okay, So God
-
does not want us to move forward alone, but to
-
go together. We all need each other, do we we do.
-
We all need each other. I need you and you
-
need me. We all need each other. We need the
-
Lord in our lives. And you know that communication is
-
a big part of community. You know. We can only
-
understand each other or work together if we have good communication,
-
you know. And that's why we love having small groups,
-
because in small groups we have better communication. You know.
-
I always shay people. I love the power of the
-
small groups, because in a small group setting in homes,
-
you should know that we get to have two way conversations.
-
Did you know that? But in a church setting, very
-
seldom we get a two week complication unless I come
-
down to you and give the maac to you and
-
ask for a response, which is unlikely to happen. Right.
-
So that's why we believe in the power of the
-
small and so as the saying, if you want to
-
go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far,
-
go together, right, And so we need community in order
-
to go far together and to see the vision come
-
to pass. Even the fifth CE is college or another
-
word for that is training. Okay, training, uh, And we
-
want to emphasize on our training like never before. I
-
think that is why you have noticed that we started
-
to do a little more teaching in our Of course,
-
we did our fewers get away in our in our
-
messages because we believe in the power of training that
-
even as we are equipped, we will be effective witnesses,
-
effective laborers for him. Amen. Okay. And so how do
-
we make disciples? There are three ingredients for us to
-
make disciples, and they're all in letter f's Three f's Okay,
-
as you can tell, our past academy's very good with
-
the wordplay. Let me change my again. Okay, all right, okay,
-
So what is Mike? Sounds different now, okay, okay, all right.
-
So the three ingredients to make disciples are found in
-
three f's. The first F is follow me. Okay, follow me,
-
And so we know that discipleship is not a program. Okay,
-
listen to this discipleship. It's not a program, but it's
-
about following people. In fact, if you look at the Bible,
-
even the disciples who follow Jesus saw how he thought,
-
saw how he prayed, so how he ministered to people,
-
and that's how they learned, right, because they followed Jesus closely.
-
In fact, he had an inner circle, if you if
-
you read it carefully, you or not he had an
-
inner circle. There was certain miracles that he only brought
-
a few people with him the inner circle. You know,
-
I think it was Peter, James and John and a
-
few other miracles. He brought some of the inner circle.
-
But really the disciples learn by watching him closely. Okay,
-
they didn't sign up for a program, they didn't sign
-
up for a course. But it's about follow me. That
-
me is a person which is Jesus Christ, and of
-
course in our church today is a past us right
-
or your leaders. So as even as we imitate Christ,
-
you also should imitate us. So that is what the
-
first ingredient that we need, which is follow me. The
-
second one is to feed my sheep. And so our
-
role and our responsibility is to continue to feed our sheep,
-
those under our care. That is what is my role,
-
you know, that's what we as leaders, we are tasked
-
to do. And then we need to continue to feed
-
our sheep. And I pray it you will also receive
-
your daily break from the Lord you know, and not
-
just wait to be fed in church. Because if you
-
only wait to be fed in church on a Sunday morning,
-
I would say to you, it's not enough. Uh. And
-
I pray that you will continue to read your word
-
and also uh to to receive your daily bread every
-
day on your own at home. Amen. And the third
-
elf is to be vicius of men. And the way
-
how I understand this is to simply practice what we
-
have learned, right, because we don't want, we don't ever
-
want to be spiritually fed. Okay, whereby we hear the
-
word so much it comes into into into our into
-
our minds, our soul, our spirit, but we don't exercise it,
-
you know. And you know that the Word of God
-
says that faithor that works is so we've got to
-
exercise it. You know. How do you know that you
-
really have faith unless exercise it, right, And so we
-
want to be viciures of men, and that is why
-
discipleship has this team called do and teach, do and teach.
-
Sometimes the world can get it mixed up. They tend
-
to teach and then do. But in actions, we believe
-
that the man came before the manual. Let me say
-
that again, the man came before the manual. So we
-
have to do first, and in our doing we learn
-
how to do it as the Lord teaches us by
-
his grace, by his Holy Spirit, and then we manualize
-
it so that we can pass on from one generation
-
to another. That's why it's called do and teach, Do
-
and teach. And so the summary of the mission of
-
discipleship is simply this, and you can find in a book.
-
It is to always give only our best to God.
-
Somebody say amen, always and only give our best to God.
-
That is what we truly believe. Is the heart of
-
discipleship in our church. And that's why you always hear
-
us say to you and to me, you know, give
-
only your best to God in whatever you do, not
-
just on Sunday, not just in church, but even your
-
in your classroom, in your marketplace, in your in your workplace,
-
in your families at home. That's that's how we can
-
be a Daniel generation, to be ten times better. Amen.
-
It is when we always give our best and to
-
the Lord. Amen. And so I'm gonna now move into
-
part four, which is the part of supposed to cover today.
-
And so the question that is posted there in the
-
book is this, So what makes this different? Okay? You've
-
heard us share about this discipleship for many, many times, right,
-
for many weeks. Maybe if you've been an extra long enough,
-
it's not the first time you're hearing about discipleship. And
-
so the question is what's the difference, right? What makes
-
this different from the other? And these next three questions
-
is what makes it different? The first question is what
-
is God saying to you or to me? What is
-
God saying? Okay? And what is God saying speaks about
-
our conviction? Okay? Even as God speaks to you and
-
to me, we've got to hear the voice of God.
-
We've got to believe it and got to we've got
-
to keep it in our hearts. So that's the first part,
-
what is God saying to us? Right? And secondly is
-
to hear what your leaders are saying to you? Okay?
-
Of course there are blanks in your book, right, But
-
there's no specific answer to that. Okay, So I know
-
some of you are telling me in like what's answer?
-
So there's no specific answer to it. You can write
-
whatever you you felt let to write, okay. The second
-
question is what is or what are your leaders saying
-
to you? And that's a condition because as your leaders
-
download from the Lord, or I use the example as
-
pass the kennel downloads from the Lord, he has got
-
to give us conditions, right, He's got to set the
-
church on a path, on a direction towards where God
-
is leading us as a church. Right. And so that's
-
the second question to you, what is your leaders saying
-
to you? And the third part I find is very important.
-
Of course, the first part is the most important what's
-
God saying to you? But the third part is very
-
important to you and me, which is what are you saying.
-
The reason why that is so import is because that
-
speaks about our part, our commitment, our cooperation. What are
-
we going to do about it? Because the word of
-
God will always demand a response. And every single time
-
we hear the word of God being preached, you know,
-
whether on a Sunday or whether it's to a quiet
-
time that the Lord downloads into your spirit, to your
-
daily break, the word of God always demands the response.
-
And the question is what are you saying about it?
-
Because it's not just about knowing what God is saying
-
or what the leaders are saying to you and not
-
having anything to say, you know. And so I've seen
-
I've said in many of the vision castings with Pasa
-
Kenov in our top leadership, and when he shares you know,
-
a vision or a direction, he will always pause at
-
the end of it, and for half an hour, for
-
a good half enough, right, he will ask this question
-
to the top leaders right now, I want to hear
-
some feedback. I want to hear some feedback, and in
-
then half an hour, right, you get to hear leaders
-
to respond back to Pasta Kenough saying that, yes, past
-
I I resonate with that, or I hear you or
-
I've been reading the world and I also send this
-
leading in the same direction and you get a response, right,
-
And that is where I find it. A vision becomes
-
powerful because it is not just shared to the people,
-
but you actually get a response back. What are you
-
actually feeling, what are you actually hearing? You know, and
-
what is your response to it? Maybe someone words can say, yes,
-
come on, pasta, I'm ready to run with it, you know,
-
let's go. How high do we jump? You know? How
-
far do you want me to run? You know? Or
-
maybe some words someone are saying no, like I'm not ready,
-
maybe I need more time, or maybe past can you
-
explain further what you mean by dad? You know, maybe
-
I don't understand this part. You know, it's important for
-
us to have a response. It's important for us to
-
know whether are you running with a vision or not?
-
Are you with us? Are you on board with the vision?
-
Because if you look at the scripture, there is a
-
story in the Bible whereby Jesus turned to his disciples
-
and asked his discipers, who do they say I am?
-
You know, you remember that the scripture or the passage.
-
It's found in Matthew chapter sixteen. Get write it down.
-
It's not in your book, Matthew, Chapter sixteen, verse thirteen
-
to sixteen. I'm going to read it to you, okay.
-
When Jesus came to the region of Cicia Philippi, he
-
asked his disciples, saying, who do men say that I
-
the son of Men am? So they say, some say
-
John the Baptist, some Elijah, others Jeremiah and one of
-
the prophets. And he said to them, Esus are. Jesus
-
said to them, but who do you say I am?
-
Come on, do you see that? But who do you
-
say I am? Jesus was not satisfied with the answer
-
of what other people say who he is, although it's
-
a good answer, sounds like sounds like a good answer,
-
but it's not satisfied the answer. The question is who
-
do you say I am? There it was the powerful
-
part when Simon Peter answered and said, you are the Christ,
-
the son of the Living God. Did you see the response?
-
What a powerful response. And Jesus actually said to him
-
that men and fast did not reveal this to you,
-
but God himself, you know. And there's the power in that.
-
So the question to you and to me is what
-
are we saying? What are you saying? You know, the
-
success of a vision. It's not just knowing what God
-
is saying to us. It's not just knowing what the
-
leaders are saying to us. But what are we saying
-
in return? Even as we hear the vision? Are you
-
catching something this morning? Amen? What are we saying to
-
the vision? So I encourage you. I pray it. Everyone
-
here will say, yes, Lord, we catch the vision. We
-
want to see the whole field with the knowledge of
-
the glory of the Lord. Help us, Lord help me.
-
I may not have enough. I'm very small, I'm fearful,
-
I'm worried. But Lord help me, Lord help my unbelief.
-
But at least we are moving forward. Amen. At least
-
we agree with the vision. At least we believe in
-
the vision. At least we are running with the vision. Amen.
-
So the next part is very important. It is the
-
tree els that we're gonna talk a lot about today.
-
The three l's are this, the lost, the leaders, and
-
the eleven. Okay, those are the blanks that you can
-
feel in the lost first one, the second one is
-
the leaders, and the third one is the eleven. Okay,
-
those are the three l's. That you can feel in
-
in the blanks. So the first one is this the loss.
-
The vision of ex Church has always been about the loss.
-
Listen to this. It's not been about having a big
-
sound system or big lights, or big stage or big equipment,
-
having a private jet. You will find that ex Church
-
is not none of that. Okay. In fact, all of
-
our church services, our systems are very basic. Okay, I
-
will say we are blessed, very very blessed by the
-
grace of God. But we don't have very elaborate systems. Okay,
-
many of our systems actually some whatever even we see
-
from others for free, you know, people give to us
-
things like that. Yeah, Gary's pointing at the drums. The
-
drums came from our favorite service in Subang Jaya. And
-
if a service needs uh you know or I wrong? Right?
-
You know? You wrong? Yes, you wrong? Yeah, I think
-
part of the jums came from Irong. Actually he he
-
gave to us, shipped all the way from East Malaysia, right, yes,
-
shifted all the way from East Malaysia. I don't, I don't.
-
I don't know how much it costs. I think it
-
gave me like curtains, you know, big curtains. Yeah, so
-
it's a combination of his set together with our church set,
-
and we've got our church drum set going around. You know.
-
If a Cyberga needs to say, we send his head
-
over to them. If Kneli needs to set, we sent
-
one set to them. You know. So again, the whole
-
point is that it's not about how big, how grand
-
our church is. Listen, the vision has always been about
-
the lost. And I remember this saying, you know, but
-
I think it was Whinehart Bonk you say this. If
-
the church does not reach the lost, we are lost ourselves.
-
Think about it, and that's the very mission and the
-
reason why the church exists. It is to reach the
-
laws and thens why I need you to understand why
-
sometimes our church spends a lot of money on missions.
-
We spend a lot of money on planting churches. We
-
spend a lot of money on sending missionaries abroad. You know,
-
it's not easy and not cheap to plant churches in London, Like,
-
no one in the right mind will plan the church
-
in the currency that it's five times their size, no one.
-
But we don't do it for fun, and no, we
-
do it because there's a call of God. In our
-
lives on our church. We are our church planting church.
-
We are a movement, and our goal is to spread
-
the gospel as far and as wide as we can,
-
and that we believe that every street and every corner
-
must have a church. I don't think so. We can
-
ever have too many churches. I don't think so, because
-
if the entire militia comes to church, we don't have
-
enough churches. I think there's a lot of room. There's
-
plenty of room. We believe it. So remember the vision
-
has always been about the lost. And by the way,
-
in your book, there's one line that says everyone can
-
be a leader. You can actually cross out the line.
-
It's not meant to be there. There was a there
-
was a typing error. That line is supposed to be
-
in the next point. Okay, so just for your information,
-
you can cross out the line everyone can be a
-
leader under the lost item. Okay, all right, Okay. The
-
second point is the leaders. We need the leaders to
-
rise up, and we truly believe that every single person
-
here can be a leader. Event they believe that event
-
not very convincing because maybe you're scared of shicking or
-
when I don't think so, I can you're a leader.
-
But really, I believe that everyone can be a leader.
-
In fact, you and I we are already a leader
-
in one capacity or another, because you heard me say
-
that we we first need to lead ourselves. The fact
-
that you are in church today, you had to lead
-
yourself out of your bit and to come to church.
-
You made a choice, you made a decision to be
-
in the house of God. And so in one way
-
or another, you're already a leader of yourself. And we
-
can only lead others when we have first led ourselves.
-
Does that make sense right? So I believe that we
-
all have the capacity to be a leader. You know, leaders,
-
I don't think they're born per se. You know, it
-
can be raised, It can be raised and betraying now
-
to be a leader, and we already have one thousand
-
people in our church, we do, and I believe that
-
every single person of this one thousand people should be
-
a disciple, not just a disciple, but eventually a leader
-
to raise another disciple after them. Amen. So we need
-
every leader to rise up. And if you're not yet
-
the leader, I want to encourage you to be willing, uh,
-
you know, to be to be open. You know, we
-
have a lot of trainings these days for leadership, and
-
of course first of all to be disciple and eventually
-
to be raised as a leader, because we need every
-
available hand and leader that we need to see this
-
vision come to pass and man, so the leaders need
-
to rise up. And the third one is this, It
-
is the eleven, the eleven. Jesus said this. The Kingdom
-
of Heaven is like leven. Of Heaven is like leven.
-
And so leven, right is when you you know, you
-
know what leven is when you put if if for
-
those of you who are bakers, but you know what
-
this really is. When you put eleven or years into
-
the door, it begins to rise, right, it begins to rise.
-
And just picture leven like a force, you know, or
-
like a like a push, you know, whereby we need
-
some discipline or we need some some movement or some
-
reaction to cause the door to rise. And this, you know,
-
without the leaven, the door will not rise, and you
-
may just get flat bread. I don't know what do
-
you call it? Is that correct? Okay? Okay, oh okay, okay,
-
that's that's what you get. I didn't know that. So apparently,
-
according to the Liners, if you don't put leven you
-
get uh you know, and sometimes you and I our
-
lives are like that.
-
Uh.
-
We we are made of We are creatures of comfort,
-
you know. We we tend to lace a lot. We
-
we tend to be lazy. I'm not sure where you're
-
like that, but I am like that. You know, after
-
a long day on a Sunday, right when I go
-
back home, we can ask my wife. I'll be on
-
the couch, right, I'm just like flat, I want a couch.
-
I'm on a couch. And I'm like, I will just
-
kof for like I don't know, half an hour, one hour,
-
because if I when I gave my best one hundred
-
percent in church, right I go back. I'm just I
-
just knock off, you know, and so and and and
-
sometimes on on on a daily basis. But also like that,
-
we tend to be lazy, right because we are creatures
-
of comfort. And so Leopard gets the disciples and he
-
just kicked out of their comfort zone. You know. That's
-
what the says, you know, send out laborers into the
-
harvest field. Send out labors into the harvest field. I'll
-
give you the scripture later because it is on the
-
later part. But did you know that word send out
-
labors into the harvest field actually means kicked out, kicked
-
out or another word is pushed out. You know, if
-
we if we actually use that word in church, you
-
may leave church. If I kick you out though another
-
church ran to plan at church, we may leave church.
-
But did you know that's actually what the word means.
-
I'll show you later, okay, because I don't want to
-
jump my head of the notes. Okay, barby me. I'll
-
come to that again. Okay. So the secret to real
-
growth is radical obedience to God. The secret to real
-
growth is radical obedience to God. I must say, in
-
the past twenty years of ex Church, the past twenty
-
years past, the cannel and the leadership ex Church have
-
always built the foundation of Exchurch on these three radical things.
-
Number one radical obedience, Number two radical unity, and number
-
three radical generosity. How have you know without radical obedience,
-
a vision will fail if you'll not come to past.
-
And when I look back at the history of ex Church,
-
I really do believe that we have radicals because we
-
have planted wherever and anywhere that God has called us
-
to plan only by obedience. And I've always thought about
-
this point you know, how many of you know that
-
we are called to live a medical life of Jesus Christ,
-
and I always wrestle. We just thought sometimes on my
-
own or when I when I discuss my wife, you know,
-
when we wake up early in the morning and travel
-
one hour away for worship service and then travel back,
-
and sometimes we have this random conversation or we were
-
discussed by saying, you know what there, how I wisha
-
if you could just leave some normal life. I wonder
-
whether it's not of my leadership asked the question before.
-
They're not in their hates, So I asked the question
-
for no, I wonder if I can just leave a
-
normal life. And then I realized in my quiet time,
-
and then the lort ministers to me, and also when
-
I talk to my wife, I realized one thing, you
-
know that God didn't I should say, Jesus didn't come
-
to the earth to die on the cross, so you
-
and I can live a normal life. Think about it.
-
We are not called to live a normal life, because
-
even the scripture says we are called to be more
-
than overcomers, more than conquers. Doesn't look like a normal
-
life to me, and you will only experience the more
-
than overcomer, the more than conquers, when you really live
-
your life by faith, when you live a life radically
-
in obedience to Him. And so I say, Lord, thank
-
you Lord, that I'm able to live radically for you.
-
But one of my prayers, my deepest prayers, I always
-
ask God, Lord, the journey is not easy. I pray
-
for grace to run the marathon race until he's finished. Amen,
-
to run until he's finished. Because as I sit with
-
some of my other Okay, I see my boss. My
-
boss is a so a Christian. He's the chairman of
-
hair Guy International. If you know, hey guy, that's that's
-
my boss. Uh. So, he likes to sit down with
-
me and we like to talk talk about faith. We
-
talk about faith in the office, you know. Uh And
-
here then tell me, you know, like, remember it's a marathon.
-
It's not a spin race. And I see, yeah, I
-
remember that. I remember always all the time. It's not
-
a spin race. So help us lot, help us lot,
-
help all of us. Hear an experts to live a
-
radical life. Listen to me, not as a spin race,
-
but as a marathon. By God's grace, You'll be able
-
to do it. Amen, Radical obedience. Without obedience, a vision
-
will fail. Without obedience of vision will fail. Radical obedience
-
number two, radical unity. We need to unite like never before.
-
An extra has been to his ups and downs. Whereby
-
we have some challenges. Whereby they were gossip, they were
-
bad things, they were said about us. You know, the
-
church had to not to say split. But we had
-
some people who left, you know. But we always remind
-
the church to guard the unity like never before, because
-
if you give a foothold to the enemy, the enemy
-
were attacked from the inside and where and when the
-
attacks on the inside is the worst. It's the most painful.
-
Medical generosity and I really really believed that act Church
-
has verdical generosity. You know, we built this church starting
-
with campus students. And if you've been in the Actress
-
long enough, I still remember the early days. Uh did
-
you know a fun fact? Right the chance that you're
-
sitting on right now, Actually many of the chairs were
-
sponsored by campus students. Fun factor. In the early days
-
of our church, we didn't have money, no money, right,
-
most we had got we had faith. And so when
-
we had to start a church, when we had a
-
bigger building, bigger space, we needed to raise money to
-
buy chess, and we had this program called buy a
-
seat s e A t I buy a seat by
-
a child or buy a seat right, and we encourage
-
every person to buy your own seat in church. First
-
of all, buy your own seat first, and if you
-
can afford it, if you have extra, buy another seat
-
for someone else. So that's what happened in the early
-
days campus students, and of course those days church was
-
very very young. A lot of campus students, many campus
-
students that you was seat that here today gave to
-
the cost and so the very chair you're sitting on
-
is a miracle of that campus students with verdical generosity
-
who gave unto the Lord and bought a seat for
-
themselves and for others. Praise the Lord. That is what
-
brought us to the last twenty years. But friends, we
-
cannot stop there. You need to keep moving, right, So,
-
these are the requirements for the next twenty years of growth,
-
Radical ideas, radical initiatives, and radical implementation. That's the word
-
you need to write down, verdical implementation. This is what
-
we need for the next twenty years of growth, radical ideas.
-
And another word for that in record is daily bread.
-
Because we can continue to do all we want in
-
our human wisdom, and we won't grow. We need godly ideas,
-
so we need to download from the Lord ideas, radical
-
ideas through our daily break as the Lord leads our
-
church moving forward. And the second part is verdical initiatives
-
and is the part that we give back and to
-
the Lord. So we call it esther Tithe, the tithe.
-
I pray you will come next week because next week
-
in the part three there is a part whereby it's
-
going to be on the power of the Type. And
-
it's really really very powerful if you can really please
-
don't turn it now, look at it later. But next
-
week we're gonna talk about the power of the Type.
-
And this is the verdical initiated whereby this is our
-
part that we give back onto the Lord, even as
-
we download from the Lord radical ideas and our daily break.
-
This is the part where we upload and give it
-
back on to the Lord, to our tithe. And the
-
third one is our radical implementation, which is eleven, nothing
-
will come to pass. And as you and I take
-
action and put our hands and our works to the
-
and our hands to the plow, nothing will come to
-
pass until and unness, we implement the vision. And so
-
we're gonna go back to the three l's that I
-
spoke about earlier. Remember to year by the three els.
-
The challenge to our vision in these three ls. The
-
greatest challenge to our vision is that we cannot achieve
-
it without winning the lost. Did you hear that? Let
-
me say it again. The greatest challenge to our vision
-
is that we cannot achieve it without winning the lost,
-
lots of them. Because the Church is not here in
-
Malaysia just to serve the ten percent. What I mean
-
by the ten percent is that if you look at
-
the stats today, the Christian population makes up about ten
-
percent in Malaysia. According to the census. That's always about
-
twenty twenty one, I think, Okay, sometime back it's about
-
nine point two percent roughly. If you round it up,
-
it's about ten percent. And by the way, more than so.
-
I think it's East nature makes up majority of it, Okay.
-
Easplanation has more than fifty percent, okay, of Christian population.
-
We didn't Inspilacia itself their majority. Okay. So the point
-
is this, the Church is not here to look after
-
the ten percent. Come on, I pray it as believers, right,
-
we will learn how to take ownership of our own
-
faith because the responsibility of the church is to eleven
-
the ninety percent that has not hurt the gospel of
-
Jesus Christ. And that is why you and I as believers,
-
we need to be equipped, We need to be trained,
-
and we need to be raised as leaders so that
-
we can be elevened and forced and kicked out of
-
our comfort zone to do what God has caused us
-
to do. You see, even Jesus himself knew exactly what
-
was his purpose and mission on earth. Luke Chapter nineteen,
-
verse ten says, for the son of Man has come
-
to seek and to save that which was lost. So
-
Jesus had thirty three years on earth to be exact,
-
and he knew exactly what was his purpose. What was
-
his mission which is two sick and save the loss.
-
And if we are his disciples, that very mission of
-
Jesus Christ should also be ours, which is to seek
-
and save the loss. So I pray that it will be
-
re aligned to that. So here had asks, we also
-
know it as the fifth w And what is the
-
fifth w? Weaitness? The fifth dou w is witness, that
-
is the is the part whereby we need to shift
-
our gear in this year to witness more than ever before,
-
to create a momentum, and to push forward so that
-
we can see the vision come to pass with nurse
-
amen witness. So remember this is the greatest challenge in
-
our vision, is that we can't achieve it without winning
-
the loss and many, many, many of them. And I mean,
-
I'm pleased to share with you that we actually have
-
quite a number of salvations last year in so manyay
-
I think it was three salvations and maybe about four
-
or five dedications in so many itself. Praise the Lord,
-
and you want to you want to win more souls
-
for Jesus, Amen. And there's our mission to win more
-
souls for him, hallelujah. The second els is leaders. The
-
second greatest challenge is that we can't do it without eleven,
-
which is the sending out or another word for it
-
is the leaders or laborers. What does the scripture say
-
about this? Matt threw Chapter nine, verse thirty seven says,
-
then he said to his disciples, the harvest fully is plentiful,
-
but the laborers are feel Therefore, pray the Lord of
-
the horvest to send out laborers into the harvest. What
-
does the scripture say, pray the Lord of the house
-
to send out labors into the horvest. And the word
-
here send out actually means actually in Greek is eg balow.
-
Somebody say egg balow, and eg borlow actually means to
-
drive out, to cast out, to expel, to draw out
-
with force. Well, did you know if I use those
-
words in church right, someone words may leave church. But
-
that's what it actually means. You know, if you're gonna
-
look back at the Greek word blow to drive out,
-
and the scripture is very clear, know that God never
-
asked right to pray for the harvest. You should know that.
-
What did the scripture say, pray for the horvest? No,
-
the scripture actually starts by saying the harvest is plentiful,
-
but the labors are few. And then the pray becus comes,
-
you know, pray the lot of the hours to send
-
out lay borders. Come on, say to your feet. While
-
now I'm a laborer, I'm a labor for Jesus Christ.
-
The scripture says, pray the lot of the hours to
-
send out labors into the horvest. It didn't say pray
-
that the hours were coming to the church think about it.
-
And so the second greatest challenge to our vision is
-
that we can't accomplish it without having labors and leaders
-
who are willing to be leavened. And the word leaven
-
again is to is to rise right, is to rise out,
-
and to be sent out. Send out is to be
-
driven out, to be cast out, to be pushed out
-
into the harvest field as laborers for him. How many
-
of us here would say that we are ready for that?
-
Come on, I paid our spirit will be quickened, then
-
we'll be ready. And so if you look at page
-
page thirty or thirty two, page thirty two in a book,
-
that word is laborers. The problem has never been with
-
the harvest by the house does We were never taught
-
to pray for the harvest, but to pray for the laborers.
-
Come on, I'm looking at a whole bunch of laborers
-
in this room right now. You and I we are
-
part of this vision. Amen. God has counted us part
-
of this vision that we want to see come to pass. Amen.
-
The third one is eleven. And the third greatest challenge
-
is that we can't do it without eleven, which is
-
a sending out Romans Chapter ten verse thirteen to fifteen
-
in page thirty two. Let's all read these together. One two,
-
and let's go. For whoever calls on the name of
-
the Lord shall be saved. How then, shall they call
-
on him in whom they have not believed? And how
-
shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?
-
And how shall they hear without a preacher? How shall
-
they preach unless they are sent? As it is written,
-
how beautiful out of feet of those who preach the
-
Gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things. Amen.
-
So if you're if you want to have good feet
-
or beautiful feet, be a preacher, be a labor to
-
be sent out. Amen. And so this is another way
-
of you know, of writing as a labor is to
-
be sent out. That's why we see in this verse,
-
how shall they preach unless they are sent? And did
-
you notice that this word sent actually in Greek is
-
a postelo, a postelo which means to send forth or
-
the away, or to send out on a mission. That's
-
what it means to be sent. Fourth, all right, the
-
next part is leven is the discipline, that is what
-
you need to write in a book. Leven is the discipline.
-
You know, even as we are laborers, it takes a
-
lot of discipline, because leven is very much in the doing,
-
you know, and in the doing we will need a
-
lot of discipline. And that's why the scripture in first
-
Covindence nine, verse twenty six day is therefore I run
-
thus not the uncertainty. Thus I fight not as one
-
who beats the air. But I discipline my body. Come on,
-
I discipline my body and bring it into subjection. Less
-
when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
-
So the leaven is the discipline. Eleven is the discipline,
-
and the next point we're also say eleven is the doing,
-
because in the doing you and I will need a
-
lot and a lot of discipline in order for us
-
to continue to be effective laborers and leaders to be
-
used by God. Amen. So leven is the discipline, leven
-
is the doing, and the doing is simply this the execution.
-
Every vision will only come to pass if there is execution,
-
if there is implementation. We need to execute the plan.
-
We need to implement the vision. And how many of
-
you know, the more we continue to implement the vision,
-
we will gain traction. We will gain momentum, we get
-
better at doing something. For example, if you have never
-
shared the gospel to a free believer before, I encourage
-
you to try it because that will truly challenge you
-
how much you really know about the gospel. When your
-
friends ask you more questions, you know, and the more
-
you do it, you get better. It did, right, It
-
makes sense, So we continue again. Momentum, we gain a habit,
-
we gain custom and culture, and momentum is the ingredient
-
to miracles. Let me say that again. Momentum is the
-
ingredient to miracles. Even as we continue to pray and
-
continue to do keep on doing it again and again
-
and again, we will continue to see God's miracles everything
-
in our lives and the many things you do in church.
-
Right that we have done it and it's become a culture.
-
I give you some examples. You hear us saying, oh,
-
yes and amen's doing the message. Amen. You know, I
-
remember in those early days right in our church, we
-
use we used to have a lot of excitement. We
-
used to do those play cards, and we have the
-
yes and amen preach it faster. You know, I remember
-
what else are there? Or what what's fabulous? You know,
-
so on and so forth right, And the reason why
-
we do it is because we are claiming the word
-
for ourselves. We say yes, not I believe it. Yes,
-
and amen, I believe it. You're claiming the word for yourself.
-
And it creates excitement in church. And that's why we
-
say in the ext church is we are never a
-
day church. You know you will find it. We have
-
a lot to celebrate about. And your excitement is contagious
-
because when other people who are new coming to our church,
-
they realize that we're very exciting. We're very exciting people,
-
and we're excited but things of God. Amen. And I
-
prayed that this culture will continue to go on for many,
-
many years and generations to come. Amen. Remember that there's
-
the reason why we do it. And so may our
-
practices become momentum, become habit, become customs. If we do
-
it time and time and time again, it's a discipline.
-
Imagine the day when witnessing, soul, winning disciple making leader
-
for using Daniel releasing becomes momentum, habit, culture, and custom.
-
That's where God wants to get us too. That's where
-
he wants to position us. That's getting our house in
-
order as rebuilding the walls and hanging up the gates.
-
That's what we want to leave for our next generation.
-
That's the road to twenty thirty. And that is twenty thirty.
-
And by the way, this sentence of this phase that
-
was said or written was given in twenty twenty one.
-
We're in twenty twenty six. No and Friends has never changed.
-
It is still the same vision. We're still on the
-
road to twenty thirty. When I watched this video's twenty
-
and one, No, and we are still preparing towards twenty
-
thirty twenty thirty. So the last part for today is
-
the implementation part. Now you may be wondering, right, you're
-
talking a lot about plans and making disciples, but you
-
haven't gone to numbers. Don't worry, You're getting into it
-
next week, okay, next week, next week almost there are
-
some numbers, okay, and some plans they need to write down. Okay.
-
So this is the last part for today, which is
-
the implementation. And another way to write it is God's diet.
-
God's diet. Now, if you read the Book of Daniel,
-
you will realize that Daniel and his three fans, Micheck
-
and I've been a goo. They lived on vegetables. They
-
refuse to take on the delicacies or the king's delicacies.
-
But they lived on vegetables and water for ten days.
-
They say to the kings, na try us for ten days,
-
you know, and just feed us, just vegetables and water.
-
And if you read the scripture, you will know that
-
they were found to be better. Oh, I think the
-
scripture says fatter. Wow, so you want to be fatter? Apparently,
-
eat vegetables. Okay, stronger and fatter. You know. They became
-
stronger and fatter as they lived on vegetables and water
-
for ten days. And this is what God wants to
-
once as to fulfill our purpose. This is the way
-
how God wants to fear a purpose. It's used to
-
live on God's diet. To live on God's diet. So
-
now allow me to break down God's dialectically as as
-
I close number one, which is daily bread, which is
-
the radical ideas you heard me say earlier, daily bread.
-
Make a list now, even as download FM the Lord,
-
make a list. Write down who you want to reach
-
out to, who God has put on your heart right now,
-
a friend that you have lost touch with, that you
-
may need to reconnect. You know, you can do it
-
at home or any other time. I think there's small
-
space in your book and the pages behind. But make
-
a list, even as you do a quiet time, as
-
you read the word, cause you receive a daily break
-
down from the Lord, make a list. The second one
-
is tithe, which is our initiative, make a commitment. This
-
is our upload to the Lord. And even as you
-
have made a list, you said to the Lord Lord,
-
this is all the time I have, this is all
-
the money I have, this is all the energy I have.
-
I want to make a commitment to see it come
-
to pass. This is my tithe. This is my upload
-
to the Lord. Remember from the Lord. First, make a list,
-
and then we play and set it as a commitment
-
and we upload back to the Lord. And the third
-
one is eleven, which is the implementation. Make it count.
-
Make it count. Another word for that is accountability. Accountability
-
and to make it count is to really get our
-
hands dirty, to get down to it, to really do it.
-
You know, where the rubber meets the road, you know,
-
and malay we call it. You know, just just do it.
-
Come on, get your hands dirty, make it count. And
-
the word accountability has the word count in it. That's
-
why it says make it count. We want to be
-
accountable for all the time and the resources that God
-
has given and trusted us with. Amen. The five steps
-
of God's dire is this, Make a list who want
-
to reach out to hoo on the disciple, who do
-
on invite? Number two, make a comedy mon pray about
-
the list, commit it to the Lord, tipe it to
-
the Lord. Number three, make it count. We live live
-
by the power of the tithe Again. We'll share that.
-
More about that next week. I pay you'll come and
-
join us next week and before make time to help others.
-
And number five, make sure you always remember the vision
-
so that we don't get distracted. And I remember that
-
the vision is always about the lost. It's not about us,
-
but it's about the lost. Amen. Allow me to recap
-
as I finished my last leap, my last lap thirty
-
more seconds. Vision is the vision is to have dominion
-
the last like okay, vision is to have dominion. Vision
-
is for us to have dominion, to subdue the earth,
-
to have influence, for the earth to be filled with
-
the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. That's the
-
vision and how do we get there to make disciples?
-
We get there. Our mission is to make disciples. The direction,
-
what do we want to be like Daniels? That's a direction.
-
What do you want to be like Daniel's to be
-
ten times better? To carry God's spirit in us with
-
the excellent spirit. The focus is diet, God's diet. We
-
can only accomplish this if we have focused and if
-
we take on God's diet. That's the only way we
-
can run and fulfill this vision. And last but not least,
-
it will cost us, and that cost is discipline. It
-
will cost us discipline, much discipline to run this race
-
and this vision to see it come to pass. Amen, hallelujah.
-
You know, I really believe there's a Lord shared today,
-
even in such a short time. But I pray that
-
you will catch something this morning, that all of us
-
are part of this big vision and this big, big
-
plan that God has for ex chearch, for you and
-
for me. Amen.
