You're listening to a message to go from X Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
So the first slide was actually unpacking the vision of
-
ex Church. Right, So X Church vision there is across
-
the years ex Chess was born in birth in twenty
-
twenty so this year is twenty twenty five, right, so
-
we are how old twenty five years old? Simple? Right,
-
twenty five years old? And if you see right, across
-
the years God has given true pastor can different different callings,
-
different visions, different teams throughout the years, and all this
-
right ties together. Okay. So today is the start of
-
the first part. Okay, I wouldn't be able to cover everything.
-
That's why there is the part two, Part three, four,
-
five and six. So next night. So why do we
-
need to unpack the purpose of unpacking? So even before
-
we go into the vision, we have to unpack the vision. Okay.
-
So if you look in your books, I think the
-
first one the purpose of unpacking is we unpacked to
-
understand and then to undertake. Okay. We So when someone
-
gives you a vision, for example, if you are in
-
in corporate if you've been working or you are in
-
the corporate world, and somebody tells you, hey, the goal
-
is this, We're supposed to reach ten million dollars in sale.
-
That is the vision. Okay, there is the vision, But
-
then you'll be asking like, how what does it mean?
-
Ten million? Ten million? Is it gross? Is it that
-
where we're going to get it from? You know, the
-
vision is set, but we have to After the vision
-
is set, we have to slowly unpack it. So even
-
before we go into what the vision statement is, we
-
have to understand why. Unpacking it is very important. Okay,
-
So the first thing, like what is mentioned is we
-
unpacked to understand, so why we are getting the whole
-
church on board. You know that across all thirteen church plans,
-
every single speaker today is speaking this because every single
-
church plan represents ex church. Every single person sitting in
-
church who calls X church your partner is part of
-
this vision, right and by us understanding first of all,
-
you understand, it will remove every confusion. Once you understand,
-
then you can undertake what is undertake. Undertake means you
-
can do it. You know, for example, they say, hey,
-
go and get ten million sales. If you don't understand it,
-
how are you going to go forward and achieve it.
-
So that's the goal why unpacking is important. Okay. Next,
-
so the purpose of unpacking, well, you see, yeah, even
-
before unpacking the vision, you got the purpose of unpacking,
-
and that will cover it like the majority of today's
-
session already, and for today we will cover prayer, passion, purpose,
-
and practice somewhere around there towards the prepare. Okay, So
-
the purpose of unpacking when we unpack, When you unpack something,
-
for example, you have your luggage or you just shifted
-
into a new house and you're unpacked, different items go
-
into different places. They go into different rooms, they go
-
into different drawers, they go into different cabinets, right, and
-
each one of these seven we consider it as different
-
rooms or cabinets or spaces. So when you unpack the division, right,
-
the first part, of course, we need to unpack it
-
with prayer because although God has given the vision to
-
act such through past the kenneth there, it doesn't mean
-
that he has all the answers, right, And all of
-
us are part of the All of us are part
-
of the Yeah, all of us are part of the church.
-
Hence we have a part to play. So there will
-
be things that we are not clear of and that's
-
when we need to take it to God in prayer.
-
All right, we need to take it to God in prayer.
-
The second one is passion. When you unpack it and
-
you have no passion, no passion for the vision, what happens.
-
It's dead. It's a still born. The vision can be cast,
-
but if we have no passion, it will die. Okay.
-
The third one is purpose. What is the purpose of
-
the vision? You have to understand it as well. Okay. Subsequently,
-
after that we practice. Okay, the vision is given, we
-
take it to God in prayer, we get clarity, we
-
are passionate about what God has in store, and then
-
we understand why God wants to do it. And then
-
after that we start practicing it. Practicing it doesn't mean
-
we get it right the first time. That's why it's
-
called practice. While we have to continuously do it over
-
a period of time until we see the fullness of
-
what God has in stall. Right, So that's practice, and
-
then we also have to prepare practice. Every time we tweak.
-
We then couple it with preparation, and that's how we
-
get better and better and closer towards the vision that
-
God has in stock. Of course, with that comes with
-
a plan. We practice and we prepared, but with the
-
plan that God has given us. And most importantly, we
-
need the power of the Holy Spirit. Man can plan,
-
but without God, everything else fails. Right, So this is
-
the purpose of unpacking. Okay, okay, So the first one prayer.
-
So prayer, you'll just follow in your notes, right. If
-
there's blanks, you'll just feel the flank, because it'll be
-
quite difficult for me to say, okay, now there is
-
a blank, and then you feel this blank here. Okay, yes,
-
but the notes are quite in sync with the slights,
-
so you can see that, all right, So prayer, as
-
we unpacked, there may be things that we are not
-
fully clear about. That's what I mentioned. How many of
-
you all, right, your boss gave you a goal? Then
-
you're like, whoa immediately very clear? This is the target,
-
you say, like what, I know exactly what to do,
-
how to achieve it. I know who to talk to,
-
I know who will help me out, I know what
-
at the gaps immediately. How many of you all have that? No,
-
I just don't have that, you know most of the time, right,
-
Like I just share I just got just started a
-
new job. Okay, So this is a new role. New
-
role meaning there was nobody else doing this before. It's
-
a new role. So during the new during the interview process,
-
they said that hey, this is a new role. I say, okay,
-
what's the JD. We don't have a JD, we don't
-
have a job description. I was like, okay, so what
-
you plan to achieve? So they told me, hey, we
-
want to concert of customers. That's the thing. So it's like, okay,
-
I think after that right, based on the interview, and
-
after I got the job, they crafted the JD based
-
on what I said. And then after I got my
-
awful letter, then oh this is your JD. It came
-
after that. And it happens in the natural. You know,
-
when God gives us a vision, or when even your
-
boss or whoever gives you a vision, you may not
-
get it fully clear at one go. You have to
-
take one step at a time and seek clarity, and
-
we have to take it to God in prayer. That's
-
why it's a continuous thing to seek God. I'm telling
-
you the vision that was shared when pastor can I
-
share this it was twenty twenty one until now right,
-
we are still seeking God for clarity. You know because
-
God is the one that would direct our path. Okay.
-
So that's why prayer is very important. And why is
-
prayer important to you personally? Because you have your role
-
to play in the vision. It's not that he the
-
pastor has to pray or I Jason has to pray
-
because he's leading, ex claim, so he has to pray
-
for all of us. Now after that he just tells
-
me us what to do or whatever. Is not the case.
-
The fact that you're sitting here, the fact that you
-
are actier partners. It means that God has a plan
-
for you and you need to do your role as well. Okay,
-
So pray and ask God for clarity. Seek God. Okay. Next,
-
So next is the three other pieces. So the first
-
one was prayer, right, followed by passion and then subsequent
-
only purpose and then practice. So passion you start with
-
the why why we do what we do and say
-
what we say? So it's very important in terms of it. Okay,
-
So let's go to passion. Okay. So passion, passion? Why
-
is passion very important? Have you been in a team
-
which is really passionate? Have you worked together with people
-
who are really passionate? When you work with people who
-
are really passionate, nothing is impossible. When you work with
-
people who have no passion, everything is impossible. Right, Like,
-
there's a the what's this? I watch different shows right
-
where I like spots, So I like a lot of
-
those sports movies. So those sports movies, right, the movies
-
that usually is a crowd favorite will be when the
-
team is an underdog. Underdog meaning nobody expects them to win,
-
you know. But one thing that this team has, although
-
they are the last team that's supposed to win, they
-
have passion, and passion is the thing that propels them forward,
-
you know. And what more, for us, when God has
-
given us a vision and we take it to God
-
in prayer, we need to become passionate about it. The
-
only way we can get passionate about it is for
-
God's Holy Spirit to fallow fresh onness gives you passion,
-
so we believe, first of all, believe that God has
-
only the best for all of us. This is a
-
mindset shift. When we talk about vision. It's like, oh,
-
when you go to a company town hall, Okay, guys,
-
this is the vision everybody, uh, because it means more work.
-
Most of the time, it's stretch targets. We are going
-
to do new things, We're going to expand and stuff
-
like that. But when it comes to God, we have
-
to first of all, believe. The mindset shift is that
-
God has only the best for all of us. Do
-
we believe that you are here in actus? God has
-
given us a vision. You are part of that vision,
-
and that vision means that God only wants the best
-
for you. Okay, live life to full, meaning right all possibilities.
-
That means right now it might seem impossible, but with
-
God all things are possible. So like what this means
-
right is like for example, this when God challenges us
-
to do something, all right, First of all, do we
-
shrink back or do we propel ourselves forward? What causes
-
us to shrink back is because we think it will
-
cause harm towards us. Harm meaning it's uncomfortable, we will
-
have less of our own space, time, and stuff like that.
-
But if we get our perspective right and say that, wow,
-
God is challenging us to do something, and that something
-
means that God has owned the best for us, of
-
course we will propel ourselves forward. So an example is
-
when when pasta Kenner asked me to take over x
-
clang right because there was a void John radj and
-
family they migrated right. So Pasta Kenner asked me to
-
step into it. First answer, what will I say. I
-
would want to say a very spiritual and say yes, fashionate, yes,
-
I want to go forward, but I wasn't okay. I
-
had the same reaction, I'll there like this is not
-
for me. Instead of propelling forward, I shrunk back because
-
my perspective was that, hey, this will it will be
-
detrimental for me because it will eat more into my time,
-
it will cause me to be more busy or whatever
-
it is. But as my perspective changed and I say
-
that God, okay, I will say yes to you. I
-
do not know how, but I come to you in
-
prayer and I see clarity, and then I decide to
-
take a step forward slowly. Right, what happens? The point
-
two happens. God has enabled me to do things which
-
I never thought was possible. God has expanded my capacity
-
into ways that I never would have imagined. And that
-
is the only possible. If we step into God's calling
-
with passion. Don't do it reluctant me, because you can
-
be the older brother who did what the father won him,
-
but reluctantly that there's no blessing. But if you do
-
what God tells you to do, and you do it passionately,
-
the possibilities are endless. Can you imagine that, you know
-
that God has the best for you, you decide to step
-
forward and you do it passionately. Wow, Everybody will be
-
like how come? It's like, how come you can do this?
-
Or what is this? How is this possible? I'm telling you, Okay,
-
I want to be very honest, right It's it's not
-
easy to lead a church plan while still working full time.
-
And then we had different challenges in our family as well.
-
And then at the same time, I still like to
-
do my spots okay and stuff like that. So when
-
I put all that around, I'm like, uh, how is
-
that possible? That people ask me, how is that possible?
-
I think I never thought about it. Just do an
-
ela and And the thing is that because it's not
-
about me, it's about God. It's stepping into what God
-
has called you to do, and then God will the
-
possibilities you. With God, the possibilities are endless. You have
-
don't have to do it on your own strength. Okay,
-
So that is key and then the third point is
-
do you desire a breakthrough life? All of us? One
-
point number three? Right, we all want a breakthrough life.
-
But a breakthrough life requires first of all to step
-
forth in faith with passion into what God has in store,
-
and that will be uncomfortable. Right, So that is passion.
-
Next one purpose Okay, so purpose is living to please God?
-
Why did Jesus come down to earth? Remember I shared
-
this in Under the Discipleship series. Jesus came down to
-
earth to do his father's will because he wanted to
-
do what pleases God. That's what That's why Jesus came
-
down to earth to do the father's will. And our
-
purpose is to live to please God. Again, it's not
-
to please men, is to please God. Whatever we do
-
ensure that don't. Sometimes we say, hey, should I do
-
this or not? Should I go for should I go
-
for this holiday? Should I buy this house? Should I
-
take this job? Should I date this person? The best
-
way to answer that question is this decision? Will this
-
decision please God? When we every decision that we take,
-
if we measure it against this ruler, will it please God?
-
We can't go wrong? Right, Instead of trying to find loopholes.
-
You want to find loopholes, you can find loopholes. But
-
if we really want to be honest with ourselves and
-
achieve the plans that God has in stare, we have
-
to measure each of our decisions and say, God, does
-
this please you? Okay? So that is purpose and next line,
-
so the turn one is practice. So you got passion,
-
which is the what. And then you've got purpose which
-
is the why. Now is practice which is the how. Okay,
-
So the how? How are we going to do this?
-
How are we when God is passion, God has instilled
-
that passion upon us and told us to step forward?
-
How are we going to do it? Because it is
-
still scary, it is still tough. What we need to
-
do is we have to check the manual. God has
-
given us a manual, and the manual is the Bible.
-
So we need to apply the word of God and
-
the promises of God into our lives. Because what okay,
-
coming back to the example of me in I mean
-
taking on the Church plan and stuff like that. Right,
-
if I wanted to say, God, how am I going
-
to do this? Who should I refer to? Who has
-
the exact same situation as me? Who has this exact
-
same situation as me. Nobody. But since God has told
-
me to take this path, God will direct my path.
-
And God's word. You know, they say God's word is
-
like a GPS. He will only tell you the next
-
He won't tell you right. Okay, you go to the
-
left right straight trail, or you go to a GPS right.
-
It's every direction is your next step. Go straight five
-
hundred meters, turn left two hundred meters, turn right three
-
hundred meters. And that's how God's word is, you know.
-
But if we come back to the thing, we believe
-
that God is good and he has the best in
-
store for us. We know that whatever direction he's taking us,
-
it will always lead us to where he wants us
-
to go. Okay, When you do that and you follow
-
the word of God and the promise of God, what happens.
-
You get testimonies. When you have truth, When you have
-
the truth of the world of God and you live
-
by it, it results in testimonies. Do I have testimonies?
-
I have a lot of testimonies. I tell you after
-
taking up is I had more testimonies then. But you know,
-
when testimonies come testing testimonies are birth from testing. But
-
if we are not willing to be testing tested, how
-
are we going to get testimonies? And when we go
-
through testing, we need the truth. The truth is the
-
one that helps us endure the testing and come out
-
with testimonies because God has given us the way forward. Okay,
-
So transforming truth into testimonies. That's why we encourage everyone
-
to share your testimony, because what was the truth that
-
you applied in your situation? And how did God come true?
-
Whenever you share your testimony, measure it against the word
-
of God as well. What was the promise I'm going
-
through this situation? What does the word God of God
-
said regarding healing? This is a scripture that I'm going
-
to hold on. I'm going to catch onto it, and
-
when I get the testimony, I know it is because
-
God's words says it. I claim it and it is true.
-
And that's how I get my testimony. Okay, Right, next life,
-
So our mission. If you've been in the acts, you
-
might have heard this. Helping people believe, helping people believe?
-
How do you help people believe or believe? What? You
-
help people believe that God is good? You help people
-
believe that Jesus is the only way and the only
-
way you can do this. It's not by it's not
-
a lip service. People will know that God is good.
-
People will know that Jesus is the way, truth and
-
alive true. What we practice, every testimony that we have
-
needs to be powerful. Every testimony that we have is personal.
-
Every testimony that we have is practical. That's why it's like,
-
you know, what's the format of the testimonies that we
-
usually share. I went through this struggle, I sought God.
-
This is what God told me, this is what I prayed,
-
and this is how God came through the more, if
-
each and every one of us shares our testimony, we
-
are practicing what we preach. People will believe because it's
-
not about how eloquent we are, but it's about what
-
God has done in our lives. Right, So there is practice, okay,
-
all right? Next, So with that, if I'm a reflection
-
of a walking Bible word made flesh, what are people
-
reading about me? So Jesus was the Word made flesh.
-
If you're ready, in the Bible in the beginning was
-
the word. The word was God, and the word was God.
-
So Jesus was the word of God. But he came
-
down and made flesh and I. You and I are
-
a reflection of a walking Bible. You and I might
-
be the only representation of Jesus that and some people see.
-
So if it is, what are people reading about me?
-
There's what I practice, resemble what Jesus stands for, my
-
testimonies glorifying to God. Am I passionate? You know? Am
-
I purposeful in whatever I do? And do? I practice
-
what I preach? Okay, all right, so that is practice? Okay.
-
Next one is prepare. So how many of y'all if
-
you're in church, you remember this logo. We had a
-
T shirt with this logo. It was a green colored
-
T shirt with this logo. So this was in twenty twenty.
-
So the good thing in I mean in ex clang,
-
quite a few came post pandemic. So to all this
-
might be new, but I feel that's why this is
-
good that we are we are going through the whole
-
visions thing so that you get understanding of what this. Okay,
-
So in twenty twenty, we had had the team for
-
that year was purpose, you know, like how the team
-
for this year is disciple first, discipleship first. So the
-
team for this twenty twenty was purpose. So it started
-
with a clear purpose symbolized by a start button. But
-
you know that your start button is also a stop
-
button in your car. The button that you pressed to
-
start is also the same button that you press to stop. Okay.
-
So for some people, when they hear the vision, it
-
may cause them to start, and they are passionate about it.
-
They find purpose and then they practice. But for some
-
people they look at a vision and okay, this is
-
not something I agree, and then they decide to stop.
-
You know, and again this one God has given us
-
free choice. But we believe that if God has called
-
you the ex church, that this button would resemble start. Okay,
-
so we start and we move forward next light? So
-
are we Are you pressing the start or the stop
-
button as you listen to the vision of X. Hopefully
-
none of y'all would have like, okay, this is like
-
I don't understand what's happening, or I cannot get behind this,
-
or hopefully some for some people if I'm trying to
-
understand a bit clearer. So hopefully a majority of us
-
are pressing the start button. Okay. It doesn't mean that
-
we get it all, but again we come to God
-
in prayer and never passion, and then we practice. Okay,
-
let us hear what the spirit of the Lord is saying. Okay,
-
all right, I know it's a bit heavy. How are
-
you all doing? Okay? Am I trying to be as
-
clear as possible, you know I was. It's a it's
-
not very easy trying to to distill all this, but
-
I'm trying to string it together so that we can
-
see where it is leading as well. Okay, so after
-
we prepare right, so there there's a there's a quick
-
short devotion which faster cannot shed next line. As you're
-
hearing this, you might be thinking that, hey, this is
-
only for leaders, or this is only for those who
-
are this is only for or the pastors or the
-
home leaders, or whoever it is. I'm just attending ex church.
-
I don't have to pay attention so much. But the
-
question right now is who is a leader? You know
-
that all of us are leaders, because first of all,
-
you have to lead yourself. You have to lead yourself,
-
and if you are a parent, you're already by default
-
a leader. If you're in your workplace and you're leading
-
different ones, it can be direct reports or it can
-
be indirectly you, all of us are leading someone, so
-
all of us are leaders. So a leader is firstly
-
one who leads him or him or herself before they
-
lead others. So everyone one can be a leader and
-
then past. The cannon also mentioned that God makes no mistakes.
-
So whoever He has brought into ex Clang, whoever he
-
has brought into ext Church probably next light it is
-
because God has a plan and a purpose. So does
-
that mean that there are people who came to ex
-
Clang or people who came to ext Church and they
-
decided to move on or leave and stuff like that.
-
Does that mean that God made a mistake. No, It's
-
just that everyone has free choice, right. But God has
-
a plan and purpose. So the fact that we are
-
here and if we are honest with God and we
-
seek God and the Holy Spirit and the Holy says
-
that hey, you are here to root in to build
-
yourself yourself first your own faith with God and subsequently
-
to build Exchert. Then that this is where you need
-
to be. So who has God given to us? It
-
could be the people in your own homes. Who has
-
God given to you? The people that you interact with
-
in your dream teams, the people that you interact with
-
in different in ex. Kids, you know that the kids
-
that come from El Shadai as well, God has a
-
plan and purpose for them, and it's not by mistake
-
that they God brought him here. And the fact that
-
we are here, we if we are passionate and we
-
practice what we preach, we can be Jesus today them
-
as well, and then they will then accept Jesus as
-
their personal Lord and savior. So what is the best
-
we or you can do to bring out the best
-
in them? So this is a very important question. Whoever
-
we are dealing with, whoever we are interacting with, are
-
we bringing out the best in people? Or are we
-
bringing out the worst in people? That means, right, you
-
know that if you bring out the best in people,
-
people want to be around you. And because right, hey,
-
when I'm around you, I'm better. When I'm around you,
-
I feel hopeful, I feel confident. You give me encouragement
-
to do to go further than what I could ever
-
thought possible. So this is on a personal level. These
-
are questions that we need to ask ourselves. First of all,
-
acknowledge that you are a leader, because you first have
-
to lead yourself, right. And the second question is Am
-
I bringing out the best in other people. Okay, So next,
-
so God's preparation work in acts. So God has been
-
consistently and faithfully at work to make ext church pandemic
-
and persecution equipped for the past ten years. So what
-
does this mean? Have you all been to service at homes?
-
Worship at homes? Y'all had worship at homes. You know
-
that worship at homes happen even before the pandemic. It
-
happened before the pandemic because right the worship at homes
-
is when we do not have service on Sun here,
-
but we have service in different homes in preparation. If
-
there was a time of persecution and you're not able
-
to meet in big groups, that we are still able
-
to meet. And what lo and behold, the pandemic happened
-
and we were still able to meet in service at homes.
-
So God has given acts that vision and we have
-
to acknowledge that. So in that way, we are no
-
longer like a mega church. You know, previously we were
-
a church of one thousand, three hundred in one location,
-
but right now we have thirteen locations and about one
-
hundred each in different areas. And that is what God
-
has called us to do. Okay, all right, Next, so
-
God is calling us to prepare. God is calling us
-
to prepare. That means there will be a time where
-
we will go through what happens, if another pandemic happens,
-
or persecution happens, we should be ready. Right. So God
-
has called us to prepare. Next light, like John the Baptist.
-
So John the Baptist was like prepare the way. He
-
prepared the way for Jesus. Like Noah and the Ark.
-
Noah built the ark before the flood, like Peter and
-
the miraculous catch. So Peter listened to God even though
-
it was not the right time to fish according to men.
-
But Peter need listened to God's timing. So we have
-
to be like John the Baptist, like Noah and the Ark,
-
and like Peter, where according to the natural or according
-
to men, it is not the right timing. But if
-
we follow God's timing, then we will reap the harvest
-
or we will achieve what God has planned. God has
-
installed for us. And like what I mentioned earlier, what
-
God has installed for us is good. Okay, So next slide.
-
It is God who adds daily to the church, and
-
he who drew drew. Yeah, at least we drew. He
-
who drew the fish into the nets. Peter cast the nets,
-
but he cannot force the fish to jump into the net.
-
But Peter had to be obedient to avail himself and
-
cast the net. If we are not available to when
-
God calls us to do and what he calls us
-
to do, we will miss out on being part of
-
God's plan. Okay, next, So it is our job to
-
launch into the deep, to let down the nets, to
-
strengthen the nets, to enlarge the boats, and ready the partners.
-
This is what Peter did. He had to launch into
-
the deep. All Jesus did is say go and fish.
-
Peter had to do a lot of work. He had
-
to launch into the deep, let down the nets. He
-
had to strengthen the nets. You know, the nets were breaking.
-
The nets were breaking. He had strengthened the nets. He
-
had to enlarge the boats because his boat was sinking. Sometimes, right,
-
God's blessing is if we can't. That's why they say revival.
-
If we are not ready for revival, he can wipe
-
you out. Of course, revival will come like a flood.
-
And what did Peter do? He called the other boats.
-
You will need support, and you need to partner with others.
-
And then yeah, ready the partners. Enlarge the boat and
-
ready the partners. So at the right time, then we
-
can achieve what God has called us to do. Okay,
-
all right, let me see. Okay, wow, next, So this
-
is from Isaiah fifty four. Enlarge the place of your
-
tent and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings.
-
Do not spare, lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes, for
-
you shall expand to the right and to the left,
-
and your descendants will inherit the nations and make the
-
desolate cities inhabited. So he says heer, do not spare
-
lengthen your courts. It will cause you to be stretched,
-
but it's for good all of us. You want to
-
live a breakthrough life. But breakthrough life comes with breaking
-
right and stretching, and then God can use us. So
-
do not spare, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes,
-
which all of us means that we have to strengthen
-
ourselves in the Lord. Okay, So now now I'm coming
-
into the vision of Acceps. So you're already the importance
-
of unpacking. Okay, so don't worry. I'm not scarying y'all.
-
But like what I mentioned, the vision of access, it
-
will be we will just be touching the first part only,
-
so let's go into it. Okay, I'll do this in
-
ten minutes next. Okay. So ex Church was birth in
-
the year two thousand, So the year two thousand to
-
the year twenty twenty, we were sort of like a
-
Joseph Church where we had to discover ourselves. We have
-
to go through different challenges, different thing, but continuously war
-
into where God has called us to walk. And then
-
we were able to even grow from three all the
-
way up to about one thousand and five people. And
-
then we charch plants all across okay, and then the
-
second half is twenty twenty to twenty twenty four. So
-
this one I think a twenty forty Sorry, So this
-
is the Daniel. So remember we were speaking about Daniel
-
I think last year, right, So the whole Daniel period
-
is twenty twenty to twenty twenty twenty forty. So these
-
two angles, right, we will cover in detail in future sessions,
-
but the main thing is twenty fifteen, So twenty fifteen
-
is the year where pass Cannet chat about Hezekiah. So
-
Hezekiah was actually supposed to die by he prayed to
-
God and God gave him an additional fifteen years. Okay,
-
So these fifteen years God gave Hezekiah to set his
-
house in order. So this was also a time when
-
in act church right, we had to set our house
-
in order. That we were about a teenager at that time,
-
so a lot of us came during campus students and
-
then suddenly became a young working adults, suddenly became parents, family,
-
so everything was like havoc, a bit havoc, you know,
-
a lot of changes. So that's why at that time
-
I think God told pass Kenneth that hey, if we
-
had to set our house in order, we have to
-
really get it right so that we can move forward.
-
So this has a kayah. Fifteen years is twenty fifteen
-
to twenty thirty, okay. And then subsequently twenty eighteen, the
-
word was given also on Nihimaya. So if you all
-
were around, you know the team was rise and rebuild.
-
So rise and rebuild twenty eighteen. We also went through
-
different struggles, but we had to rise and rebuild and
-
then become stronger. We know our identity, like how the
-
Israelites they went back and then they rebuilt the walls
-
and then they became stronger and they achieved what God
-
in them to achieve. So this is what we're doing
-
also up to twenty thirty. All right, so rebuild the
-
walls and hang the gates. Okay. Next, so God has
-
set his eyes on twenty thirty so that we are
-
prepared to be stronger and build our next generation. So
-
all of us are involved in building the next generation. Okay,
-
and that's twenty thirty. That's why you know, the twenty
-
twenty five to twenty thirty, we we have the team
-
which is called Dream, d R, E, A M. There's
-
a lot of teams, but try and follow. So twenty
-
twenty five was disciple first, twenty twenty six will be revival,
-
you know, and then E in twenty twenty seven will
-
be evangelism. A in twenty twenty nine will be Action
-
and m IS missions and then subsequently we will reach
-
twenty thirty. Right, But so what happens in twenty thirty, okay?
-
That one's not very like a recording in past Canada
-
is not very clear yet. It doesn't mean that Jesus
-
coming in twenty thirty or whatever. It's just that this
-
is what God is asking us to prepare for. Okay, next,
-
So in twenty twenty, we celebrated our twentieth anniversary with
-
a clear vision of the next twenty years. It began
-
with kingdom, purpose and priority. That's what I mentioned purpose.
-
So let your kingdom come and your will be done.
-
So God declared Daniel as our vision for the next
-
twenty years, with Joseph being the vision for the first
-
twenty years. Next line. So what does this mean to
-
us as a church? So the big vision is actually this,
-
I think y'all would have heard this verse Habakuk two,
-
verse fourteen. For the earth will be filled with the
-
knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters
-
covers the sea. This is the big vision, that the
-
earth will be filled of the knowledge of the glory
-
of the Lord as the waters covers the sea, that
-
all may know. Remember we had the them that all
-
may know. So this is the big vision. Okay, next line.
-
So there is a similar verse in Genesis one twenty eight.
-
Then the Lord blessed them and said to them be
-
fruitful and multiply fill the earth and subdue it. Have
-
dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds
-
of the air, and over every living thing that moves
-
on the earth. So next light, So three things that
-
we can draw from Genesis one twenty eight is the
-
first of all is what what is what the we
-
need to do is fill the whole earth? How by
-
being fruitful and multiply, And that's by banking disciples and
-
why so that we have dominion. So the word dominion,
-
we also can replace it with the word influence because
-
we need to have influence as well. Right, we need
-
to make disciples. We need to have influence for the
-
glory of God. Not to be an influencer on your
-
own is to be a positive influence for Christ. And
-
then you can draw all men unto Him for all
-
may know. Then people will come and find out, Hey,
-
what do you know that I don't? Who do you
-
know that I don't? What should you do? What should
-
I do that I'm not doing? And that's how we
-
can draw all men? Right, And this is the last light.
-
Right now, So even as you've heard all this right,
-
and you've heard different things about the vision and stuff like,
-
what thoughts are going through your mind. For example, the
-
question here is what excuses am I thinking about right now?
-
We're thinking that, Okay, this one doesn't make sense to me,
-
or I can't get behind it, or this one seems
-
too big, or whatever excuse it might be. You have
-
to identify it first and then take it to God,
-
because right, it's easy to miss what God has in
-
store if we think it's too difficult on our own
-
strength and we just discard it. But what we have
-
to do is identify. After I've shared all this, right,
-
what's the response that you have? How do you feel
-
about it? Are you passionate about it? Or are you
-
wanting to seek clarity wanting to understand? Which is fine,
-
But if there's any negative emotions or excuses that we
-
need to find, address it personally and say that God,
-
why am I feeling like this? Take it to the
-
Holy Spirit to convict our hearts so that we can
-
clarify that and then we can move forward. Yeah, and
-
He can speak to us as well. Okay, because I
-
don't have all the answers, but what I do know
-
is God has a good plan for me, and I
-
want to be in the boat when he is in
-
the boat. I don't want to miss the boat. And
-
if I need clarity, I will seek for clarity. If
-
it's tough, I will check the manual and ask God
-
for direction. But whatever it is, I don't want to
-
miss out on the testimonies because what is testimony is
-
truth applied equals testimonies, and that's what we want for
-
each and every one of us. Right So, even as
-
I get the band up, the call to action is
-
what is God speaking to me? There was a lot
-
that was said this morning, but what is right now?
-
Just take this time to seek God and say, God,
-
what are you speaking to me? Because right all it
-
takes from God is just one word, a rama word
-
that can change our lives and can draw us closer
-
to Him.
