  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this passage will light up your day.

  3. This is my title. You're taking notes and my prayers heard.

  4. And the question next night is have you ever wondered

  5. if God truly hears your prayers? So I didn't be

  6. the first reason as well, when I raise your hands,

  7. if you you're very confident, you know God hears your

  8. prayers all the time, all the time. Who here you

  9. feel sometimes I'm not sure. I'm not sure that God

  10. hurt my prayer. Yeah, case, I was going through those days.

  11. Maybe there are days when we're like, yeah, I know,

  12. I know God hurt me. And sometimes like God, I

  13. think you'll be quiet. I don't know if you heard

  14. that prayer? Did I pray it right? You know? Recently

  15. Riley was hospitalized for RSV, so respiratory track kind of infection.

  16. And I remember when I visited her, you know, and

  17. I was chatting her mom, Irene, and she asked that,

  18. you know, like my mummy, I prayed that I will

  19. be discharged tomorrow. Why God didn't answer. I pray very hard,

  20. and you know, really with the heart I prayed. But

  21. how come I'm not discharged yet, And she's just so

  22. you know, broken, also said, and she's asking, Mammy, teach

  23. me how to pray. Maybe I prayed wrong, But I

  24. mean I love her heart to really ask, like, you

  25. know me, teach me I pray something wrong, maybe to

  26. show me how to pray so that God will hear me.

  27. And you know, I hope we had that child like faith.

  28. Oh no, God, if you're not hearing me, am I

  29. doing something wrong? Can you please show me? Okay? So

  30. let's let's dig into that a little bit today. And

  31. I realized how we pray and what we pray could

  32. possibly make a difference. Okay, So let's look at the

  33. first verse. It's going to be quite a few verses today.

  34. So Hebrews chapter five, verse seven, How you got your

  35. bibles with you? Yay? Okay, this year the year where

  36. you will get your bible and bring your bible to church. Amen,

  37. and read your bible. Hallelujah. Okay. So he worship the

  38. five verse seven. This is what it says. I will

  39. read the NLT version. First. It says, well, Jesus was

  40. here on earth. He offered prayers and pleadings with a

  41. loud cry and tears to the one who could rescue

  42. him from death. And this is a secret. And God

  43. heard his prayers because of his deep reverence for God

  44. and the New King James Version says, because of his

  45. godly fear. He was hurt because of his godly fear.

  46. You're like, what he's godler this we're talking about Jesus,

  47. the son of God. He's got himself, God made flesh,

  48. came to earth. He was hurt because of his reverence

  49. for God. I thought if he said anything he said,

  50. it would have been heard because Father loves him so much. Right,

  51. whatever you say would have been heard. But it's so

  52. clearly spelled out here. God heard his prays because of

  53. his deep reverence, not just reverence and deep reverence God,

  54. fear of God. And I'm thinking, and we're thinking to yourself,

  55. So if jesus prays were heard because of his reverence

  56. for God, how much more we as humans as people?

  57. How much then? And how there should we pray? How

  58. should we pray? Right? And sometimes because we are so

  59. comfortable with God and its always like best buddies, like,

  60. go's my best friend, Jesus, you are my best friends.

  61. Always know that song. Sometimes we forget about the reverence

  62. part and were just like, oh Gos my buddy, so Jesus,

  63. I need this, I need that. Please help me out here, God,

  64. And we can sometimes forget, you know, to just pause

  65. and for myself. I'm learning this as well now because

  66. even in in a job that he three of us four,

  67. it says the spirit of God has made me and

  68. the breath of the Almighty gives me life. God. You

  69. know in Genesis it's God breathed life into men. Right,

  70. He breathed life into us. And I'm learning this now.

  71. Th When I before I pray, I try to take

  72. a deep breath us and I encourage you. What do

  73. you try to say, take a deep breath? Oh God,

  74. you gave me this breath. I want to be standing

  75. here if you didn't give me life, right because the

  76. fact that the truth is, if He wanted this to

  77. be my last breath, it would be my last breath.

  78. We've heard of different preachers are who either you know,

  79. went back to the Lord while speaking as sermon or

  80. after they preach a message. We never know when it's

  81. our last breath. But every time we breathe, when you

  82. feel the breath, feel your lungs and you're exhaling. You know,

  83. thank God, you you gave me breath. You are my creator,

  84. you gave me life, You created the whole universe. And

  85. so before you start, before we even come before God.

  86. And why do we learn to do that? You know?

  87. And it's sometimes because we don't see Him, we don't

  88. hear God audibly. We can forget to have that right

  89. posture before God. You know, those oness have been church

  90. many many years even more so, so everything's routine. We know,

  91. we know all we know the right practices, we know

  92. how to look like how we worship. We know that

  93. the right posture physically to stand, the right look to

  94. have on our face, but but our hearts, you know,

  95. to really bow down in adoration towards God. But yeah,

  96. sometimes it's hard. But I realized as we go through

  97. and if we read scripture, scripture can actually help us

  98. get into the right posture. And this was a passage

  99. that I read that you know, after reading it, I

  100. just I was just in tears and I just had

  101. to bow and worship because it felt like God was

  102. asking me these questions. I was just in awe of

  103. the greatness and vastness of God. And so I'm gonna

  104. bring us through this passage. Just now. Someone after the

  105. first of we say, wow, I never read this part

  106. because it's gonna be from a book of Job and

  107. no Job. We always we always remember the sufferings of Joke.

  108. That's the main part. Write the sufferings and then God

  109. restored him. But let's read what happened before God restored him,

  110. and he had God had lots of questions Job, and

  111. maybe God is asking us these questions as well. And

  112. I pray that we, you know, will be reminded of

  113. who is this God that we worship and we serve.

  114. So let's look at Job thirty eight. I have it

  115. on screen as well. We have a Bible, so you

  116. can turn with me and read in whichever version you're ed.

  117. But I'm going to read in the New Living Translation version,

  118. a simpler, simpler English. So I'm going to read from

  119. verse three onwards. God speaks to Job, and he says,

  120. braise yourself like a man. Okay, he answers Job. He

  121. speaks to Job from a whirl wind. He says, brais

  122. yourself like a man, because I have some questions for

  123. you and you must answer them. Verse four says where

  124. were you when I laid the foundations of the earth.

  125. Tell me, if you know so much? Who determines its dimensions?

  126. And stretched out the surveying line, what supports its foundations?

  127. And who laid its cornerstone? As the morning stars sang

  128. together and all the angels shouted for joy. I mean

  129. you imagine the day got created the universe and the Earth.

  130. He just spoke it right, just spoke it into being

  131. gain we you know, people call it the big Bank

  132. theory or whatever. I personally believe that there might have

  133. been quite a pretty big bang when God created the earth.

  134. Boom from nothing, from nothing, nurse the Earth was made.

  135. He laid the foundations right. It goes on to say

  136. in verse eight, who kept the sea inside its boundaries

  137. as it bursts from the womb? As I clothed it

  138. with clouds and wrapped it in thick darkness. For I

  139. locked it behind behind bad gates, limiting its shaws. I said,

  140. this fire, and no further will you come here? Your

  141. proud waves must stop. How have you used to how

  142. many of you love the sea and the beach, But

  143. I both love the sea. When we went to when

  144. we had the privilege to go keep down for his

  145. last competition. I mean, the view at the beach was

  146. just breathtaking, breathtaking, you know, the just the rock formation

  147. and the blue, clear blue water and the waves, and

  148. you just stand there and you're like, wow, God, your creation.

  149. And you stand at the shore and the water's just

  150. come in, and who set those boundaries? It's our creator,

  151. all right? Verse twelve. Have you ever commanded this morning

  152. to appear? The morning to appear, and cause the dawn

  153. to rise in the east? Have you made daylight spread

  154. to the ends of the earth to bring an end

  155. to the night's wickedness? As the light approaches, the earth

  156. takes shape like clay pressed beneath the seal. It is

  157. robed in brilliant colors. How many of you have watched

  158. a sunrise or the sunset and the colors is like

  159. you know you you will never be able to do

  160. the same with the painting. You take a picture so

  161. it can it just doesn't do justice your phone. But

  162. you sit there and you're like, oh, salle, I'm picturing

  163. all laugh. I don't know why. Look at the sunset.

  164. There's a I don't think it's in the It's not

  165. in the main main frozen cartoon. But I think there's

  166. like a short field went all off. It's like watching

  167. the sunset, that's right, eating so watch but yeah, the

  168. next time you watch the sunset the sunrise, just being reminded. God,

  169. you because the sun to rise and set every day?

  170. Where we Have you explored the springs from which the

  171. seas come? Verse sixteen? Have you explored their deaths? Do

  172. you know where the gates of death are located? Have

  173. you seen the gates of at gloom? And how you

  174. go diving? I think people keep going diving because it's

  175. a whole other world down there, right, and it's it's amazing,

  176. It's breathtaking the things you see down there. And yet

  177. I'm sure human we've never been to the deepest, deepest

  178. depths of the sea yet. And they say Mariana Trench,

  179. the deepest. See, they're creatures that probably not even discovered yet.

  180. But God called all this into being? What was it?

  181. Are you following? Help me out? Verse eighteen? Do you

  182. realize the extent of the earth? Tell me about it?

  183. If you know where does light come from? Where does

  184. darkness go? Can you take each to his home? Do

  185. you know how to get there? Wow? Yeah, next exhiby.

  186. But of course you know all this God is being

  187. a bit secastic here, for you were born before it

  188. was all created, and you are so very experienced a

  189. big sarcastic joke. Have you visited the storehouses of snow

  190. verse twenty two or seen the storehouses of hal I

  191. reserved them as weapons for the time of trouble, for

  192. the day of battle and war. Where is the path

  193. to the source of light? Where is the home of

  194. the east wind? Who created a channel for the torrents

  195. of rain? Who laid out the path for the lightning?

  196. Who makes the rainfall on barren land in the desert

  197. where no one lives, Who sends rain to satisfy the

  198. patch ground and make the tender grass spring up. In

  199. Malaysia we get to witness a lot of rain, a

  200. lot of thunderstorms, lightning shows. Have you ever paused during

  201. those times and like, just marvel God all this. You

  202. are controlling the rain, You are controlling the thunder, the lightning.

  203. I was telling the first service as well. Recently, I

  204. just introduced roll Down the writer rolled down, I think

  205. that's how you pronounce his name. He writes pretty interesting books.

  206. If you know Charlie and Chocolate factory. What else. Yeah,

  207. I know Rachures likes it. The Elie Glass something and

  208. glass elevator. And recently so my kids asked me to

  209. read to them James and the Giant Peach. Anybody read that?

  210. I see some not no jacket. James and the Giant Peach.

  211. He's very creative writer, so's yeah, it's funny. So anyway,

  212. so this peach, you know, is flying flying by seagulls.

  213. Seagulls are carrying the peach. Long stories, so you have

  214. to read a book to understand why that's happening. So anyway,

  215. it's flying through the air, and he's going through the

  216. clouds with James, a young boy, and a bunch of insects,

  217. big insects, human size insects. They're flying through the clouds

  218. and what they describe it, it's like, wow, there are

  219. things up there clouds that human on earth will never see.

  220. And you don't know this is happening. And what do

  221. they see out there up there? Cloud men we speak,

  222. cloud men that are making the snow and throwing it

  223. down to earth, and making the hill and throwing it

  224. down to earth. And they are you know, pouring like

  225. torrents of water. I don't know, I can't remember what

  226. they describe it as, like throw it out a whole

  227. like you know, got it like a whole donkey of

  228. water down on earth. And then they were banging stuff

  229. to make the thunder and lightning and all I can't

  230. remember what they made. Like all this was happening up

  231. in the clouds, and like this is how all this

  232. happens with the cloud men And I'm real and as

  233. I'm reading job, I'm like these where all these writers

  234. get the idea? No, the movies that you watch, and

  235. also I think they get it from the Bible. But hey, there,

  236. this is the real deal. This is our God, the

  237. rail deal that does all that. We don't see it.

  238. We just see it, and you know, the rainfalls and

  239. our rain rain, rain go away. But God is controlling that.

  240. He knows, He knows which which barren land?

  241. Right?

  242. Which patch land needs some rain? We are complaining to

  243. getting wet. So my kids are like, why is the

  244. rain not stopping? Like somewhere needs the rain? God knows,

  245. God knows, Wow, where are we who s there's the rain?

  246. I read that there's a rain? What's to need? Does

  247. the rain have a father who gives birth to the deal,

  248. who is the mother of the ice, who gives birth

  249. to the frost from the heavens, For the water turns

  250. to ice as hard as rock, and the surface of

  251. the water freezes. About this part verse thirty one? Can

  252. you direct the movement of the stars? He never looked

  253. out with the sky on a full night of stars?

  254. Oh the end just been to then got to see

  255. the northern lights and all kinds of beautiful things in

  256. what's that place called Norway? And they get clear clear

  257. skies right and the star And because asking, can you

  258. direct the movement of the stars? Binding the cluster of

  259. the player? These go google that or loosening the cause

  260. of Orion, those of you who like estrall or g Yeah,

  261. you know all these names of the constellations? Can you guide? Sorry,

  262. can you direct the constellations through the seasons? Or guide

  263. the bear with the cops across the heavens, not the

  264. constellation bear. The real bears cannot correct. Do you know

  265. the laws of the universe? Can you use them to

  266. regulate the earth? The next time you look up at

  267. the sky and see the stars. I think the only

  268. one I can recognize from here Malaysia is Orion. Everything

  269. else I don't know to see or It's better Orion.

  270. If you don't know Orion's belt, you just look for

  271. the three stars in a row. They're quite bright. Right

  272. then you know Orion is there, not Orio. Can you

  273. shout to the clouds and make it rain? Can you

  274. make lightning up here and cause it to strike as

  275. you direct? Who gives intuition to the heart and instinct

  276. to the mind. Who is wise enough to count all

  277. the clouds? Who can tilt the water jars of heaven?

  278. See rolled out gody? From here? Who can till the

  279. water jars of heaven? When the patch ground is dry

  280. and the soil has haddened into cloths? He goes on

  281. and talks about animals skied last, But here can you

  282. stop pray for a lioness and satisfy the young lions appetites?

  283. My dad was in Africa recently. He just came back.

  284. He was there actually until like third day of Chinese

  285. New Year. He's there for speaking engagement. But they went

  286. on a safari after that, because it's in Tanzania. Right

  287. when there's safari, and I tell you, can you know

  288. he sends me in this video of the cheetahs. They

  289. were like on the hill there and sudden they ran

  290. down and one for the jump. Nice they jumped on

  291. the on the vehicle on the jip. The cheetah jumped

  292. on the jeep and my dad's they're like, are we

  293. supposed to run now? He's like one thing, they hit

  294. the pending button. But you know, the guys said, don't worry,

  295. they're okay, like they won't attack. And my mom I

  296. was like, isn't it dangerous? But the guy said, okay, okay,

  297. But it's yeah, it's amazing. I mean the videos my

  298. dad are sending me with all the the lioness and

  299. all the cops, you know, whole lion king show. They're

  300. coming out Simba Nala, the whole Yeah, what do you

  301. call pride of Yeah, whole pride of lions just walking

  302. past all the the jeeps, you know, and they're just

  303. my dad. I can hear my dad asking they won't

  304. jump in there. And then the next time is the

  305. chitta jumping in is really and it's open you know,

  306. the open air kind of jeeper. But yeah, we can't

  307. start to pray for them. We can't say this' why

  308. the the appetites hopefully not with us, as they lying

  309. that there's a crouch in the thicket who provides food

  310. for the ravens when they're young cry out to God

  311. and wonder about in hunger. I don't know about you,

  312. but when I read this, I just yeah, I was

  313. just all struck and I was in wonder and I

  314. just worship God, just adored him, because who am I

  315. Lord that you would think of me? Who am I?

  316. Somes it was for say, who says who is Man?

  317. That you're mindful of him? With something? This question on God?

  318. Why why did you hear me? Why not answer my prayer?

  319. But actually the question is who am I God that

  320. you even think of me? But as we marvel at Him,

  321. you know, as we really learned to have that reverence

  322. and God, I have this fear of God, and we

  323. and we see all this and I pray as we

  324. read all this, then we get our posture right before God,

  325. even before we pray. So really, every time it rains,

  326. I mean here again, I say, militia, you get to

  327. experience all this rains, thunderstorm, get to see the sunset, dawn,

  328. you know, seeing the birds in the air. Look at

  329. the oceans. We got a lot of beautiful islands. Everytime

  330. you go for holiday, you know, take a moment pause,

  331. look at his creation. Just soak it all in. Soak

  332. it all in and being reminded, be aware that everything

  333. is in the palm of his hands. He's controlling it,

  334. he's directing it. He directs you know, He's a creator

  335. of the universe, and he's the God that we worship.

  336. You and I worship. And isn't it he worth every

  337. bit of worship when we come here? Yeah, wasting here?

  338. You know, it's a building. You got a band playing

  339. and they are worshiping their hearts out. Sometimes we are.

  340. I don't know where it's our mind. But next time,

  341. I say, you know, take your mind kept deff and

  342. just picture is creation. I think it will help you worship.

  343. It will help you really come before Him and God

  344. I can't help but worship you. I could go on

  345. and on it because the God is just so indescribable.

  346. There was there was I want to do. Read this

  347. because I just made it and I found it like wow,

  348. I didn't even know this before. You know, we shouldn't

  349. look at Instagram so much. But some things are quite interesting.

  350. So there's this guy who's who's an osteopath, and he

  351. talks a lot about the mechanics of the body, right,

  352. and and how childbirth, different types of childbirth would affect

  353. the baby. And I was reading this, I'm like, wow,

  354. I mean we think when we're giving birth. I was

  355. just pushing the baby out, like get the baby out, right,

  356. But let me read this. Did you know in a

  357. natural Bertha, it is actually preparing the baby's body for life,

  358. baby's body for life outside the womb by triggering important

  359. physical and neurological developments. So first, it's it remodels the

  360. skull and mening is meningis. I don't know any medical

  361. people here don't even know how to pronounce that. Anyway.

  362. The process prepares the spines reorganization through reflexes with the

  363. skull and pellette. Oh yeah, doctor, mening is many hm,

  364. oh okay, it's the brain there, Just do how to pronounce. Yeah.

  365. So it it actually the skull and the pellet palat

  366. above your mouth, right, it's undergoing significant adjustments. Wow. Did

  367. you know that when you were pushing babies out or

  368. your push babies out? Uh, there is decompression of the

  369. sky based and spinal stretch. So the birth process actually

  370. naturally relieves pressure and stimulates spinal alignment, ignition of vital reflexes,

  371. so the neck reflex is triggered. Also as the baby's

  372. head passes under the pubic bones, which activates the lumber reflex.

  373. So that's why when there's a plan sea sec or emergency,

  374. he said, of course, you know, emergency is life is

  375. more important us to save the baby. But what happens

  376. then is then there are a lot of other issues

  377. like latching difficulties, vomiting, scar deformation, difficulty engaging the lower back,

  378. and lifting the head. All these things happened because you

  379. don't know, right, I mean, I just read this. I'm like, God, amazingly,

  380. you plan all these not away we give birth us

  381. all there's things that God is doing with the body,

  382. baby's body. Wow. Okay, yes, amen, it's amazing God, It's

  383. just indescribable. Come on, Samen, if you believe that, now

  384. are there more verses for me to bring you through.

  385. For Timothy, chapter six, verse sixteen, it says he's talking

  386. about God, he who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light,

  387. whom no man has seen or can see, to whom

  388. be honored and everlasting power. Amen. Yeah, this is God.

  389. He lives in an unapproachable light. And yet that's why

  390. he had to come to earth in human form, right,

  391. because you're not We will never see him. We can't

  392. live if we see him. Because have you ever tried

  393. looking at the sun like in its full, full on

  394. brilliance and not the setting sun or those nice it's

  395. nice rat and around. No, no, no, the full on

  396. I don't know, midday sun. Have you tried staring at it? Cannot?

  397. Please don't because you you will them your eyes. But

  398. Revelations chapter one, verse sixteen says that his face, Christ, Jesus,

  399. his face is like the sun in all its brilliance.

  400. So we go to heaven and we're going to see

  401. Christ face like the sun. Now we can look at

  402. the sun. But you know, when we go to heaven hallelujah,

  403. I think we'll have new eyes so we can see.

  404. You know.

  405. But this God, he lives in unapproachable light. And how

  406. do we come before him? Honest, you're like, oh God,

  407. and we whine and we moan, but well, to have

  408. that reverence like Jesus, Jesus himself showed the way. You know,

  409. God's not Santa Claus, No, he's not. He's not a butler.

  410. Say God, please do this for me, do that for me,

  411. and then we get angry and upset when he didn't

  412. do it for us. Our prayers are not answered. I

  413. hope you're catching something. Yeah, not don't be discouraged, but

  414. be encouraged that if we get our hearts and our minds,

  415. you know, in the right posture, and we learn to

  416. really fear the Lord like Jesus did and I shed

  417. I share the first the revision as well. You know,

  418. this fear is not it's not terror, It's not like

  419. I'm scared of something. This fear is is that honor,

  420. that reverence, that awe of God. Yeah, and for us

  421. to truly experience revival this year, I believe it also

  422. starts with reverence, you know, to really have the fear

  423. of God in our lives. And then everything else, like

  424. every decision we make, where our priorities are, how we

  425. live our lives, everything will be guided by that. Now,

  426. if we have the fear of God, and I pray

  427. that that reverence, the fear of God will come upon

  428. us until there's nothing else that we want, and we

  429. desire and long for them to be with Him and

  430. to be in His presence, you know, until we can't

  431. even stand sin because of the fear of God. Man

  432. Jeremiah thirty two, Chapter thirty two, Verse thirty eight to forty.

  433. It's a powerful verse about the fear of God. And

  434. it says verse thirty eight, they should be my people,

  435. and I will be their God. Then I will give

  436. them one heart and one way that they may fear

  437. me forever for the good of them. He puts the

  438. fear of God in our hearts for the good of us,

  439. our good and their children our children, not for His goodness,

  440. for how good and verse forty and I will make

  441. an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn

  442. away from doing them good. But I will put my

  443. fear in their hearts so that they will not depart

  444. from me. Wow, Amen, I prayed it. God put his here,

  445. his fear in our heart, so that we will not

  446. depart from him. I mean, you think about your life,

  447. the decisions that you made, certain things that you you

  448. don't do, or things that you do with conviction, wasn't

  449. it because there was the fear of God? Like God.

  450. I cannot. I can't do this because I fear you,

  451. you know I I I won't And I choose not

  452. to beat mouth another person? Why because the fear of God?

  453. I won't gossip? Why Fear of God, not fear of man,

  454. not fear of people what people think of me. Fear

  455. of God. What, as Pascal always tells, you know, don't

  456. speak badly about another church, another pastor, even if someone

  457. has hurt you. Why fear of God? Why? Why? And

  458. I leave? And I think someone was here as well.

  459. Why didn't we leave the church when he was going

  460. through difficult times and our closest friends left, and our

  461. homies left, and people were discipling? Left? Why because of

  462. the fear of God? Because I want to know what

  463. God wants for me, not what I want, not what

  464. other people, Not to follow everyone else? Is that reference? Is? It?

  465. Is that God? Leave your God. I really want to

  466. follow what you want for me, So I don't want

  467. to step out. I don't wan to step out of

  468. your way right? And I really pray that I pray

  469. that for our children, pray that for all of you.

  470. And if we are here thinking like God, here's all

  471. my prayers God's word is actually quite clear, and I

  472. think we read through right. It's you can tell that

  473. she prayer is conditional. God's love is unconditional, But him

  474. hearing our prayer is quite conditional. So let's read a

  475. few more. Turn to a few more Versus James, Chapter one,

  476. verse six to eight. What does it say, but let

  477. him ask in faith with no no doubting. For he

  478. who doubts, it's like a wave of the seed, driven

  479. and tossed by the wind. For let not that man

  480. suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. He

  481. is a double minded man, unstable in all his ways.

  482. Scripture is saying, if we doubt, don't expect to get

  483. anything from the Lord. Ouch. I was like, how how

  484. to not doubt? How to believe? Pray? Pray God, remove

  485. my unbelief, Remove my doubt. I have very little faith,

  486. faith as small as a master's seed. But Lord, remove

  487. my unbelief. Take away my unbelief. Then only we can

  488. expect right to receive what else? First verse three, verse seven, husbands,

  489. I know, I'm the verse is talking to husbands are

  490. but liter I say, you know this this eral was

  491. everyone everyone's relationships, Okay, husbands likewise, dwell with them with understanding,

  492. giving honor to the wife as to the weaker vessel or.

  493. In NLT it says, you know must give honor to

  494. your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together.

  495. She may be weaker than you are, but she's your

  496. equal partner in God's gift of new life. She's an

  497. equal air. Treat her as you should, so your prayers

  498. will not be hindered. M m important, her husband's, dads, moms, wives, children,

  499. We don't want our prayers to be hindered. Le's honor,

  500. honor one another. And for Speter three verse twelve also says,

  501. for the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,

  502. and his ears are open to their prayers. Again, very clear,

  503. there's something that you know will open God's ears the righteous.

  504. But the face of the Lord is against those who

  505. do evil. I trust no one here does evil, And hallelujah,

  506. we are made righteous in him. Yeah, So have that confidence.

  507. His ears are open to your prayer. Psalms sixty six,

  508. verse eighteen says, if I regard iniquity in my heart,

  509. the Lord will not hear again iniquity in my heart.

  510. If they're sin in my heart. The Lord will not hear.

  511. It has unforgiveness, it has hatred the Lord. We'll not hear.

  512. So God, And that's why we pray the Lord's prayer

  513. and say, forgive me my depths, right forgive. I don't

  514. know why it is in there, something we don't even know.

  515. They're sinning there. God forgive me, so that everything else

  516. I pray, God, you were here. Another verse from John John,

  517. chapter fifteen, verse seven. We're taking notes, you know, take

  518. down these verses, can meditate on it throughout the week.

  519. If you abide in Me and my words, abide in you,

  520. you will ask what you desire and it shall be done.

  521. It should be done for you. And this you know

  522. this year, as we enter into time of prayer and

  523. fast thing. You know the next two weeks we're gonna

  524. start a u turn pray and fast. Let's really learn

  525. to abide, abide in Him, remaining in Christ and His

  526. word in us. And it cannot be just on a Sunday. Okay,

  527. I listened to pass apreciated word. Enough for the rest

  528. of the week. You're starving like you don't eat once

  529. a week, right, you need to throughout the week keep

  530. taking his word for yourself, not to read it on

  531. your own. Lights it through something interesting, I know, don't

  532. don't the passages that are so dry, and then you

  533. like give out all day one, choose that interesting passages.

  534. A yeah, total the first Sviace. I'm reading through Samuel

  535. now and it's really like a movie. I'm like seeing

  536. action movie in my brain and not reading through Samuel

  537. and Kings of the Safe. Uh, not very child appropriate,

  538. I mean young, not very young child appropriate. It's so

  539. violent but powerful, powerful David's life. So yeah, my encouragement,

  540. abiding God, let his word abide really gleaned from his word,

  541. get all the help you need. Where his Bible reading plan.

  542. You want his word to abide in you so that

  543. everything that you do, in all the decisions that you make,

  544. your the priorities that you set for your life, will

  545. be guided by Gos's word. Okay, now we talked about

  546. we talked a bit about how we pray rite that

  547. posture and if you forget everything, just remember let's start

  548. with that reverence. But what then, what are we praying about?

  549. Is another question that I ask myself, Right, do we

  550. pray like like unbelievers? And what I mean by that

  551. is how unbelievers pray. And I think if we think

  552. of our lives, we've done that many times. Is God,

  553. please give me more money. Please give me a nicer,

  554. bigger house. God, give me a better car, give me

  555. a better job. I hope we're not praying give me

  556. a better wife or give me a better husband. But

  557. how did Jesus teach his disciples to pray? How when

  558. it is that asks hyer, by teach us how to pray?

  559. How did he teach our father? Yeah, the Lord's prayer?

  560. Like if you don't know, when I read it together

  561. with me, I think it's I think I did put

  562. it up there. Yes, okay, how do we pray our

  563. Father in heaven? Hello, be your name, your Kingdom. Come,

  564. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

  565. Give us day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts,

  566. as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us

  567. into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one for yours.

  568. It's the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever a

  569. man a man. If you have not memorized it, I

  570. encourage you to the kids. All memorize it by heart.

  571. Now I pray that they will have the revelation of

  572. what it means. But if you if you see this prayer, this,

  573. this is how you just thought his disciples to pray right,

  574. And nothing in the prayer is about what we want.

  575. It does have an element what we need. Let's not

  576. give us our daily break. God knows what we need,

  577. knows even before we ask. He knows what we need.

  578. But it starts and it ends with honor. Hello, be

  579. your name. Starts an honor and glorifying God, your kingdom, Come,

  580. your will be done. Right, powerful prayer. And what else

  581. is prayer for? If we read Second Corinthians, chapter ten,

  582. verse three to six, it says, although we walk in

  583. the flesh, we do not war. According to the flesh,

  584. this war happening right in the world. Just now, my

  585. daughters asking me, what's trying to understand what's going on

  586. with war? We'd have to explain to the kids. But

  587. our war is not against flesh for the weapons of

  588. our warfare, and not calnel, but Mighty God for pulling

  589. down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that

  590. exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought

  591. into captivity to the obedience of Christ and being ready

  592. to punish all this obedience when your obedience is fulfilled. Friends,

  593. our prayer is for warfare. It's for war. It's not

  594. just to ask for these little things and mickey mouse prayers. No,

  595. it's powerful. God has given us this powerful weapon called

  596. prayer to fight against the enemy. But we underutilize it.

  597. You know.

  598. It's like we have a sword, but we just use

  599. it to cut bread and peel apples and oranges. I

  600. read read this book when I was much younger. I

  601. think there were teenagers. And I don't know if many

  602. of you read it. Angels and Demons something like that.

  603. You just the demons or well, I can't remember the title,

  604. but but it's it's a it's a fictional book, you know.

  605. But it really brought my awareness to the spiritual realm

  606. because every time in the books, I mean, it's about

  607. a pastor and the church and and the spiritual realm. Now,

  608. so the demons against the angels, and every time God's

  609. people pray, the angels get stronger. It's quite I mean,

  610. really it's quite scary, like goosebumps. I mean they're they're

  611. you know, spiritual battles and you know, different different ones,

  612. or the believers get spiritual attacks and all that. But

  613. when the church came together pray every time they do it,

  614. Gabriel and you know all those things, they actually get

  615. stronger when they're fighting the demons. But but yeah, we

  616. we A lot of times we forget that there's another

  617. realm outside of this physical and so our prayers get

  618. what's down. I want to remind us today that our

  619. prayer is for warfare. This is our weapon, you know,

  620. take hold of it. Really take the authority, command the

  621. enemy to go, leave your family, leave your your workplace,

  622. take your take his hands off your health. Pray prayers

  623. like that. And a very short but powerful verse for Thessalonians,

  624. Verse five Soy chapter five or seventeen I s it

  625. is the second shortest verse, shortters worse in the Bibles.

  626. Jesus wept, but this one is three words. It says,

  627. pray without ceasing, Pray without ceasing. That just means don't

  628. start praying, keep praying right. And I'm the first one

  629. to admit that I don't pray enough, for sure, don't

  630. pray enough. Of course, we get busy, We get busy.

  631. We have our kids, well work, you know, how do

  632. you find time to pray? But I want to pray

  633. more this year. I hope you also have that desire

  634. to pray more, you know, just throughout the day, everything,

  635. every other thing, just keep committing to God, you know,

  636. I keep forgetting to do that. We're looking for help

  637. everywhere else. We go to AI, but we forget to

  638. go to God, who knows everything right. His knowledge is

  639. beyond a robot a computer. Yeah, at homes, how many

  640. of you made it to homes this week? Yeah? Yeah,

  641. we were reviewing, recapping, unpacking the Vision series right, and

  642. at the end of it, you know, in our homes

  643. we had a call to action that we gathered in

  644. groups in pasts to talk about what what do we

  645. want to type this year? What do we want to

  646. set a site for God in terms of numbers or names?

  647. And I was I was pair up with Laura, and

  648. both of us actually shared the same thing which both

  649. of us wanted to tithe. They set aside time to

  650. pray more and pray for someone every day, like intentionally

  651. pray for someone or some people every day, because we

  652. can pray a lot for ourselves sometimes, but we forget

  653. to pray for others. So we committed to that and

  654. we hold each other accountable. And amazingly, this is something

  655. that I've also learned and caught recently right on how

  656. and what to pray for others. So sometimes we run

  657. out of things to pray and pray for the health,

  658. pray for pray for them to come to know Christ,

  659. pray for them to be set free from certain things.

  660. But I learned something from Paul, and if you turn

  661. with me into Ephesions, chapter one, verse sixteen to twenty three,

  662. Paul praised this and we can learn from him, and

  663. I encourage us to pray this for people. Moving forward,

  664. verse sixteen, it says I have not stopped thanking God

  665. for you. I pray for you constantly. They paus that

  666. he spraying all the time. In fact, his word also

  667. says I mean, he says that he he knows he

  668. prays in tongues more than anyone else. Right as a

  669. word that says that. So he says, I pray for

  670. you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord,

  671. Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so

  672. that you might grow in your knowledge of God. Next

  673. time you pray for someone remembers someone, pray, Lord, give

  674. them the spiritual wisdom and insights so that they will

  675. know you, so that their knowledge of you will grow.

  676. And sometimes we keep praying for people and we wonder

  677. why they never never come to accept you or never

  678. get it. How many times I tell them, you need Jesus,

  679. never get it. I need to pray this prayer for them,

  680. they'll get a spiritual wisdom and insight. And it goes

  681. on to say, I pray that your hearts will be

  682. flooded with light so that you can understand the confident

  683. hope He has given to those he called. We pray

  684. in an opener eyes of their hearts feel that has

  685. with lights so that they can understand. They can understand

  686. the hope that God has given us. And listen to

  687. this given to those he called those he called are

  688. His Holy people, who are His rich and glorious inheritance.

  689. What I am your inheritance, God, I know I have

  690. any inheritance from you. I have a crown that's waiting

  691. for me in heaven. I have the mention that You're

  692. building for me. But it says His people, those he

  693. called his holy people are His rich and glorious in inheritance. Guys,

  694. you and I we are His glorious inheritance. Isn't that

  695. a thought to be? Like? Whoa really in awe? And

  696. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness

  697. of God's power for us who believe him. Ah, yoh,

  698. this one we are. We really utilize our power. Again

  699. speaking to myself, but let's pray for one another that

  700. we will understand the incredible greatness of God's power in us.

  701. Why this is the same mighty power, it says that

  702. raised Christ from the dead, the same power that overcame

  703. death and then placed Christ in the place of honor,

  704. seated him in the place of honor, God's right hand,

  705. the heavenly realms. This same power lives in us, in

  706. this weak vessel. But God's power is there. I pray

  707. we will all really have that revelation and the under standing.

  708. You know, you hear of testimonies of people who get

  709. set free from addictions overnight. How does that happen? Is

  710. this right? It really is this? It's suddenly they understand

  711. that they have the power to overcome smoking, overcome drinking,

  712. overcome drugs. And yet there's some that you know, you

  713. go back and forth with them and keep going back in,

  714. keep falling back into the same pit over and over again.

  715. But if we pray this that they will really understand

  716. that hope they're having Christ and then understand also the

  717. incredible greatness of power in them. Well, things can really

  718. things can really change. God can do it overnight. Amen,

  719. hallelu Yeah. I won't read the rest of it, but

  720. I want to encourage us. You know, let's let's move forward.

  721. Let's not just pray for health, for blessing, very vigous,

  722. bless them, bless them, but let's pray for the eyes

  723. of their hearts. You know, your loved ones, your friends

  724. or colleagues, your family. Pray for their hearts to be

  725. open to really understand the hope that God has given us,

  726. and to understand the power that He's given us. And

  727. pray for us leaders too. Yeah, we also need this.

  728. Pray for us as we pray for you. And I

  729. know sometimes it may feel hopeless, even you know some

  730. of us. You might be thinking like, oh, my goodness,

  731. how how do I how do I have my prayers hurt?

  732. If it's so difficult like this? But I tell you what.

  733. Romans eight twenty six gives us another promise, and it says,

  734. then the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. Amen,

  735. the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. So yes,

  736. we are weak. Yes we cannot do it. Yes, sometimes

  737. forget to have the fear of God before we pray.

  738. Sometimes we are selfish. Sometimes we you know, we're just

  739. we're overwhelmed with the things that we go through. And

  740. I don't deny that it is overwhelming. Sometimes Richard asked

  741. me this morning, house situation at work. I said, not easy, difficult.

  742. It's the thing that troubles me at night. It's you know,

  743. it's there. It's constantly a burdened things that's happening at work.

  744. But the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness, helps

  745. us to pray right, and not just there, but actually,

  746. even if you're just moaning, groaning, guess what. For example,

  747. we don't know why God wants us to pray for,

  748. but the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that

  749. cannot be expressed in words. So it's okay even if

  750. you don't have the words to pray, just groan and

  751. mourn and Holy Spirit, I don't know how to pray.

  752. I really don't know but you interced through me. Pray

  753. for me, Pray through me, and he will help us

  754. when we're stuck. Okay, remember when we're stuck, the Holy

  755. Spirit is here to help us. So remember I mean

  756. I'm actually coming to a close. Already, Start with reverence.

  757. If I can summarize this whole thing. Let's remember that

  758. keyword today, reference and do all it takes to get

  759. you in that right posture. Read a scripture, look at creation,

  760. look at nature, Look at your own body, how it works.

  761. The eye. I've heard testimony of an I think an

  762. eye doctor. Not a believer, right, became a believer because

  763. when he's studying the eye, he's like, there's no way

  764. this could be a uh what it could yeah, evolution

  765. or coincidence that the eye works like that. It is

  766. so complex. So you realized there must be a creator.

  767. Look at it next time your eyes anything like anything,

  768. how your body works on and you think about your

  769. creator and you will have that reverence. Reverence. So start

  770. with that, and let's stop praying unbelievable, unbelieving press. So

  771. this is say doubt go away in Jesus name, and

  772. pray believing pray, prayers of warfare, use it for its

  773. actual use God given. God's given us this powerful tool

  774. and weapon in our hand. Let's use it as it's

  775. supposed to be used. Don't don't use it to cut

  776. bread and feel apples. Let's let's fight the enemy. Let's

  777. fight away darkness. And just remember at the end of

  778. the day, when when we're stuck, when we're weak and

  779. we feel we can't do it, remember that we have

  780. the Holy Spirit to help us. Amen. And when we

  781. have all this, then we have that confidence. He will hear.

  782. He will hear our prayer, and he will unswer when

  783. extreme can start coming up. U turn is also coming.

  784. And so I wanted to because we're going to start

  785. fasting soon, and fast thing comes hand in hand with prayer.

  786. And so this verse is also very apt because it

  787. ends with when you call, the Lord will answer by

  788. talking about fasting. So in Isaiah, if you're gonna take

  789. it down Isaiah fifty eight, verse six to nine, it says, no,

  790. this is the kind of fast thing I want. Free
