You're listening to a message to go from X Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Let me say that, for we are going through a
-
series called Unpacking the Vision of X Church. Unpacking the
-
Vision of X Church, right, and this will be a
-
six weekend series, and we are on weekend number two. Okay,
-
So to help us, there is a booklet or a
-
guide book which Joseph has just came past me. In
-
the book for as it looks like this, right. So
-
if you were not here last Sunday and you're a
-
partner in church, I would encourage you to lift up
-
your hands and the host will pass you a booklet.
-
So I think that some here, probably those who are
-
in KG three may not have received it. Can just
-
raise up your hands and can I get the host
-
to help. So it's important for us to have this
-
booklet if you've not received it, and it will help
-
us to take notes. There limited copies, so if you
-
have taken one last Sunday, don't ask for another one.
-
Now take notes and then go back and fill up
-
the booklet. Okay, thanks yourself. Okay, sorry one Okay, if
-
you need a booklet, raise up your hands.
-
Post will help you.
-
This booklet will help the structure what we need to understand.
-
About the vision of X Church.
-
So just to bring contexts, we are in the second
-
part of a six series on unpacking the Vision of X.
-
So there's four more. The next four will be in January. Okay,
-
so next weekend, in the following weekend we will we
-
will do Christmas and a team will be on Christmas.
-
Then in January we'll come back to unpacking the vision.
-
Okay. Session two.
-
All right, if you guys were here last Sunday, give
-
me a whoo if you had a good time. Okay, yeah,
-
I guess people had a good time with Jason. Jason
-
started it off. So all across ex Church, in every
-
service plan or worship plan, ministry service that we have,
-
everyone's doing the same thing at the same time.
-
Okay.
-
So we have this unity all across our even services
-
better in Eilai or so Money or PJ or in Subang. Okay,
-
So let's do a quick recap of what happened last Sunday.
-
Last Sunday, we learned this we unpacked to understand and undertake.
-
So we unpacked to understand. So okay, first of all,
-
in your nose there are blanks, So we're all students
-
again this morning. If you need a pen, can also
-
raise your hands. And in general, the words that are
-
raid on the slides will be things you need to
-
fill up if they are blanks there. But I'm not
-
gonna give you the answers. You guys just figure it
-
out on your own Lotkay. I'll go through as best
-
I can without having anyone fall asleep this morning. But
-
for us to internalize unpeck and more than understand, we
-
need to undertake. So it's for us to then bring
-
these words into our own lives and bring it to
-
a practical application.
-
Okay.
-
The two main verses we look at for the Big
-
Vision of X is Harbercook two fourteen and Genesis.
-
One twenty eight.
-
Okay, I'll read those two verses now, it's not the screens.
-
If you have your Bibles or your phones, you can
-
also turn to this Bible verse. Harbercook two fourteen says this, for.
-
The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the
-
glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
-
The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the
-
glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
-
Genesis one twenty eight says this, Then God bless them,
-
and God say to them, be fruitful and multiply, fill
-
the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish
-
of the sea, over the birds of the air, and
-
over every living thing that moves on the earth. So
-
those are the two anchor versus in the Bible, which
-
gives us the vision of what XS is like. Right,
-
So as a recap let me say this verse, this
-
word feel the earth, fill the earth.
-
So what is earth for you? Guys? The world?
-
The earth is so big, right, you know? But what
-
is earth for you? I think this is how we
-
can break it down, meaning to say, like your earth
-
can be your campus or your school. Your earth can
-
be ex clang, we're all in next tank. Now, this
-
is our little earth. We need to be fruitful and
-
multiply here, have dominion, have influence. The earth can be
-
sol family, right, my family that I need to see
-
to be to be filled with the knowledge the glory
-
of God. So what is that earth for you this morning?
-
And and the word dominion dominion? Right just now we
-
heard that word dominion. What it actually means is influence.
-
So you see that influence right. I take this to
-
very similar to how the Bible calls us to be
-
salt and light. Right, were called to be Christians are
-
called to be salt and light. So we need to
-
influence the earth that is around us, right, We need
-
to be the agents that make that earth experience the
-
knowledge of the glory of God have influence over the
-
lives around us. When we live out the fullness and
-
abundant life of God and with God, this will influence
-
the people around us. So this is what I catch
-
from this when we live out in that fullness. So
-
when we actually live out the fullness of what God
-
has caused us to do, we are fulfilling this scripture.
-
When we live in the fullness of the abundance that
-
God has called us to be. Right John ten ten,
-
you know the enemy comes to still can't destroy, But
-
I have come to give you an abundant life, an
-
abundant life. So when we live that, we will influence
-
the people around us. Okay, that's just a recap. So
-
what are we going through today? So last Sunday, next
-
night we went I think you guys went through four
-
or five piece right, the mission of X Church. So
-
today we will focus on p Number five, which is
-
prepare everyone say prepare okay, Okay, so that's a lot
-
of cover.
-
I want to do this in three parts.
-
Number one, I want to help us understand what is
-
my or our role.
-
In fulfilling the mission of X church.
-
Right, okay, So we all of us here have said
-
yes to be a partner in X.
-
We call this our home. We call KG one, K
-
you do KG three, exact? KG four? No? Right, Yeah,
-
that's old man, It is so bad.
-
Yeah, we could all right, I have nothing to say
-
about it. Oh, these guys are our homies, right we
-
call we call them sometimes you call it more than friends, right,
-
people that walk through life with us. This is where
-
we are, and if we say yes to that, we
-
want to fulfill this united mission that we have in
-
X Church. Okay, I'll do that in the first part. Okay,
-
the second part I'll remind you again later. I want
-
to re emphasize some numbers in X. Okay, So so
-
this I know the next dog or some numbers thing
-
going on? Right, they read numbers, and then so here's
-
what we have. Numbers, but in a sense where the
-
numbers gives us a picture of what the vision is
-
X of X will look like. Okay, and number three,
-
I will just summarize everything by reminding us how where
-
to focus on. Okay, so let's get into it. The
-
big mission of X next, like the big mission of X.
-
The big vision vision of.
-
X is what I read earlier, Fill the earth, be fruitful,
-
and multiply have dominion. Okay, that was the recap.
-
The big mission is to make disciples.
-
So what's the difference between vision and mission? I'm like,
-
does it even matter? I think it matters for us
-
to just define it very briefly.
-
Left, So vision is vision, right or I have this
-
vision or this company Apple has this vision. The vision
-
in a sense gives you an idea of where we
-
are going. Okay, I have this vision of being marathon runner,
-
you know, under three hours one day. So I have
-
this vision in my mind, right then? Or for X,
-
the vision is fill the earth, be fruitful, and multiply
-
have the minion.
-
Okay.
-
The vision describes a future you hope to create or
-
what does success look like in the future? Okay, So,
-
as the Christian, what does God call me to be
-
and what does it look like in the future. It's
-
very important to first have this because without vision, the
-
people perish if we can't imagine what the future is like,
-
then we might not be going anywhere. So that's the vision.
-
What is mission? Mission is how do we get there?
-
What do we do to get there? Mission explains your
-
purpose today and how you work towards the vision. So
-
mission is what do we do every day right now
-
to get to our vision? Right in summary? Vision is
-
a destination. Mission is the path of getting there. Right So,
-
after church today you want to go to Chili pan
-
Me for lunch. The vision is going to enjoy the
-
ball of Chilipan Me.
-
Right.
-
Wow.
-
The mission is how do we get there? Make sure
-
everyone gets into the car. Everyone has a place in
-
the car. Which how do we drive? Is electric vehicle
-
or you know, gas vehicle? How do we get to
-
the destination?
-
Okay?
-
So how do we get to the vision of fill
-
the earth? Be fruitful and multiply and have the minion.
-
That's what we're going to cover today. And the mission
-
is we get there by making disciples.
-
Okay.
-
So we may not be able to fulfill the big
-
vision as an individual. I can't possibly as one person
-
fulfill the big vision of filling the earth with the
-
knowledge of the glory of the Lord, But what we
-
could do is be fruitful and multiply where we are at.
-
And what this looks like is three points. Okay, so
-
a quick one, not fruitful and multiply. I think I
-
feel like God has been asking me this question lately.
-
Have I been fruitful?
-
Huh? No? This guy he didn't. No, no fourth one coming. No.
-
I think God has asking me this question lately, like
-
have you been fruitful? And if you remember, if you remember,
-
in a Book of Mark, there's this story where Jesus
-
saw a fig tree and he was hungry.
-
Jesus is hungry.
-
He saw a fig tree from Afar, and then he
-
wanted to go to the fig tree and take a
-
fruit to eat.
-
But he saw the.
-
Fig tree full of green leaves. Looks so healthy, but
-
the zero fruit. And what did Jesus.
-
He cursed the He cursed the victory.
-
You know, may may no one ever eat fruit from
-
you ever again?
-
Right?
-
And then you know, the next day the disciples came back,
-
they saw the victory.
-
All shriveled up. Yeah.
-
I think this shows that Jesus finds fruitfulness as very important. Okay,
-
and to a certain extent, is showing what the Pharisees
-
were Last time, the Pharisees looked like they were healthy.
-
It looked like they were full of life, doing what
-
is right in God's eyes.
-
So green the leaves, very full, but no fruit.
-
No fruit, but the key to Jesus, he wants to
-
see the fruit. He wants to see the fruit. So
-
it's a very sobering question to ask myself what is
-
my fruit? And I'm asking that question to you guys
-
today as well. So how do we fulfill that mission
-
and vision of being fruitful and multiplying?
-
So this, this.
-
Bunch of notes came of course from past the Kenneth
-
reminding Earth as X. This is our mission and I
-
want to remind us this morning as well. How do
-
we do this? Number one, We need to make disciples,
-
need to make disciples. So this has been our focus
-
for twenty twenty five. Our team this year is disciple first.
-
So we all know this very very We know this
-
very well now. But not only make disciples, making disciples
-
that make the difference. Okay, So make the difference means
-
what I said earlier, have dominion have influenced like salt
-
and light of the earth.
-
Right?
-
Okay? So Number one, make disciples.
-
Number two, produce leaders, produce leaders or pioneers. The fullness
-
of the word discipleship or disciples is not only a follower, okay,
-
is also a leader.
-
I'll say that again.
-
If we want to say yes, I'm a true disciple
-
of Christ, I'm not only a follower of Christ. I
-
will then be also a leader. So there's a statement
-
here that says turning every pre believer to be a
-
partner means you're committed to the process. Every partner to
-
be a pioneer, which is a leader, and every pioneer
-
to be a parent.
-
So what does a parent do. A parent care and a.
-
Parent also has the ability to multiply produce children.
-
Right.
-
So so that is the reminder today we are called
-
to make disciples and making disciples also means producing leaders.
-
Right.
-
So let's break this break this down further to the
-
next light. With this statement, plant a disciple produce a leader.
-
Plant the disciples produce a leader. So you see a
-
few names there. We got Pasta Lasius in Botswana, began
-
Osaka Pasta Joel in Melbourne. And the reminder this morning
-
is how this works is we need to remember that
-
God works by.
-
Planting seeds, so x Klang x Clang.
-
Who was the first seed in x Clang, John Raj, Right,
-
John Raj was the first seed in x Klang. And
-
then of course now we have Jason and Jazz who
-
are pioneering and being that seed. So they were planted
-
into a town called Glang, which is now have grown
-
to what we see today on a weekly basis all
-
the lives here.
-
Right.
-
Similarly, Benji's planted in Osaka, right, He's see it went
-
a bit furtherler right to another country, and he's planted
-
as a person into this nation, and now we can
-
see roots taking shape and the tree growing. We have
-
seen three or four different lives who have been transformed
-
by that planting of that person.
-
Right.
-
So the reminder is God plants lives to gain lives.
-
I think it's important to understand this because if you
-
remember a couple of weeks last month, we did a
-
devotion in homes from the book the Five W's, and
-
there was this statement the man before the manual, the
-
man before the manual, meaning God has this great vision
-
to fill the earth with his glory. Right, but he's
-
not going to implement just a system, right, He's not
-
going to say, follow this microsoftristis five system and the
-
earth will be established. Right, But he uses a man
-
to do that. And Jesus was that first seed that
-
transformed the world. So God plants lives to gain lives.
-
So we need to see us ourselves as seeds as well.
-
Where and where and why is God planting me in
-
this place where I am now? And how can I
-
continue to grow and be a pioneer and be a
-
leader in my position to have dominion and influence over
-
the world and earth around me. Okay, it's people that
-
reach out to other people. It's people that reach out
-
to other people. So if we have a desire to
-
see more of Malaysia saved and receiving Christ, receiving the gospel,
-
hearing the good news, then we have to look at
-
ourselves as seats.
-
Right.
-
So it just came to me like Angi and Mins
-
and also being planted in Sydney, right. I don't know,
-
maybe they'll continue on the legacy of living out this vision,
-
feeling the earth, that little corner of the world Sydney,
-
Australia where Nimo went to to to be a blessing
-
there right, a seat being planted there and I'm sure
-
they have many testaments of how God can.
-
Do that in their lives.
-
And another thing about this is when you plant a seed, right,
-
it takes time to grow. When you plant a seed,
-
it takes time to grow. I think it will be
-
the next light, but the initial process is the roots
-
taking shape, right, the roots going down, having a strong
-
anchor before the tree continues to grow. So we need
-
to remember that if we are seeing God using us
-
in this scenario, right, I'll probably use Visiness NG as
-
another example. I don't know when they are being planted
-
in Sydney, as their lives are there. It will take
-
a while to establish the roots, establish the foundation of
-
who they are as a family there and the influence
-
that they have. And it's okay, it's okay in that.
-
I don't know how long it will take, but eventually
-
they will need to be fruits. They'll need to be fruits.
-
I saw this very clearly in the plants I plan
-
in my own house. You know, I told it before
-
my dad wanted My dad, who is a botanist, told me, okay,
-
can plant this whole row of plants. He'll be very nice,
-
You'll be boushy, will grow very tall. But he said,
-
I will get you the plants. So I thought, it's
-
going to come ready first day, come plant the plants
-
is going to be like my height, I can block
-
off the neighbors.
-
Really, he came over to my house.
-
He gave me little seedlings and they were like about
-
this tall. So two years later, I'm still waiting. I mean,
-
it's much taller than before. But that's a process in planting.
-
And we need to remember when God plants a person, Yes,
-
the initial stake is for roots to take root, establish
-
his roots. So that's in the next light, the root
-
is going deeper into the world. Okay, So going back
-
to what we are doing now, we are talking about
-
the mission of being fruitful and multiply, multiplying, and number one,
-
we need to make disciples. Number two, we need to
-
produce leaders. And number three, how we produce leaders. How
-
we get there is by being a Daniel. Raise and
-
released Daniels into the marketplace. Is there any Daniels here?
-
All right?
-
Oh yeah, it's Denzel, Danzel Daniels. So long, raise and
-
released Daniels into the marketplace. What what are Daniels? Who
-
was Daniel in the Bible? What are Daniels. What does
-
Daniel represent. Daniels are actually kind of like all of
-
us here. Right, Daniel was not a priest or profit
-
working in a temple. Right, he was a senior government
-
leader serving the public or marketplace, okay, of two kingdoms,
-
Babylon and Pressia.
-
So that's basically all of us are.
-
We are not so called full time workers in church
-
serving church on a daily basis, but we are in
-
our in our own extent, agents in the marketplace, serving
-
different kings and kingdoms.
-
Right.
-
And Daniel was taken to excel trained to work in
-
the royal administration of Babylon, where he became a top
-
and top administrator advisor under multiple kings.
-
So that is what Daniel is.
-
So when this this statement here raised and released Daniels
-
into the marketplace, it's actually a calling for all of
-
us to go out into the marketplace, be as effective
-
as how Daniel was, and we'll go through more in
-
his life in a short while. Be effective Daniels in
-
the marketplace, become become like the high performers in our
-
different marketplaces, and then bring influence of what God wants
-
us to do there.
-
Okay.
-
So that's a summary of how fulfilling the mission will
-
look like in our lives. So just a recap. The
-
overall picture is this number one. The vision is to
-
have dominion, become influencers, to fill the earth with the glory,
-
the knowledge of the glory of God and the mission.
-
How we get there is discipleship disciple first, and the
-
outcome of doing it is actually that direction is being
-
a Daniel in our lives. Okay, so I'm gonna close
-
the first part surely, but I'll say a few more
-
things next, Like God doesn't want us to be ex
-
church as a brand. I think this is really important
-
and we should remember this if you forget anything else.
-
Let's come back here for a short while and focus.
-
God doesn't want us to be ex church as a brand.
-
He wants us to be a lifestyle. What that means, right,
-
is this thing where pastor calls it X off X off. Okay,
-
tracking me for a while, stay before. So instead of
-
ex church, we should think about it as X off,
-
X of what, XT of love, acts of care, ex
-
of trust, act of grace, acts of service, kindness, thankfulness, friendship, joy.
-
I just wrote all these words that are so good
-
and will be a blessing to many people. If we
-
become just an ex church, we move on to becoming
-
ex of so to live out X that will reach
-
pre believers in a sense where this morning we shouldn't
-
be so focused on just X church here right on
-
a Sunday, But we need to move to a place
-
where it becomes X of kindness, X of love, act
-
of joy, X of grace. Because if we don't do this,
-
then people will not experience who Christ is in a marketplace. Right,
-
So there is what being Daniels in a marketplace means.
-
So move on from ex church to X off.
-
Okay, and when we do that next like we will
-
be able to connect connect with people because it makes
-
sense to people when they experience this acts of love.
-
Right.
-
We have many jargons in church. Try sometimes we you
-
know Holy Spirit, and and make grace be with you now,
-
pray for you or have faith you know God bless you,
-
which are all really good things. And sometimes people that
-
have not been this in this environment they won't understand.
-
So you told me to you told me God's grace
-
be upon me today?
-
Like what does it mean? Who is God? What is grace? Right?
-
Is it a girl? Girl's names.
-
But what people make sense of, what people understand is
-
when they experience that acts of love. Right, So we
-
need to make connections. And when we make connections, we
-
make sense to them. So love makes sense to them,
-
Generosity makes sense, punctuality makes sense.
-
Right, Like if you're a student.
-
Or a worker in a company and your testimony or
-
your your track record shows excellence already, then everyone on
-
a team really understand. Hey, why is this person like
-
always on time and it's always happy. Why when the
-
boss say, hey, you're gonna work on Saturday or so,
-
it's like, heymen, yeah, we'll do.
-
You know why?
-
So then you start to ask why you like that?
-
Why are you always joyful? Where does your source of
-
happiness come from?
-
You know? So it makes sense to them.
-
Then when we share the gospel is because of Jesus,
-
because of Christ. Right, So that is the reminder this morning,
-
we need to connect to make sense.
-
Got it? Okay, let's go.
-
So that's the first part, a reminder that the vision
-
is for us to feel the earth, to multiply, to
-
have dominion. That's where we want to hit. That's where
-
we are going and how we get there. The mission
-
is to make disciples to produce leaders, right and to
-
be Daniels in the marketplace.
-
Cool.
-
Next part, let's go reviewing some numbers. So this is
-
where the numbers come in. And Hauberkook two to two
-
says this. Then the Lord answered me and said, write
-
the vision and make it plain on tablets that he
-
may run who reads it. So what we're doing today
-
right now in the six weeks is we are trying
-
to write and re establish and remind us all about
-
the vision of X.
-
Okay.
-
But more importantly we need to remember that we need
-
to run with the vision.
-
Right.
-
So that statement down there, we don't want you to
-
just know the vision, but run with the vision, okay,
-
just a reminder. So so this is a I would say,
-
another angle of what this vision is like.
-
This is where the numbers come in. Okay, track with me.
-
Number one, this number ten.
-
Focus for next ten years. The focus for the next
-
ten years from twenty twenty to twenty to thirty is
-
we are in this era as a church of being Daniels.
-
Okay.
-
So we went from being a Joseph church dreaming maybe
-
going through different challenges, going through a process of growing,
-
to now going to a church of being a Daniel
-
means being an effective leader in the marketplace. Okay, So
-
what this is is next light These number ten comes
-
from the story of Daniel and Daniel in the start
-
of the of the book is he was asked to
-
he was asked to eat food that was offered to idols, right,
-
and in that day it was it goes against his
-
convictions as a Jewish person, right, as a person of
-
Jewish faith. So what Daniel did was very wise. He
-
didn't just rebel against the leadership which he was serving,
-
but he told the leaders of that day, baby long
-
that he said, this test earth for ten days, Test
-
Earth for ten days.
-
So we are in that season now.
-
Where so this is a bit prophetic, right, pastor speaking
-
this over our church. We're in this season from twenty
-
twenty to twenty thirty, where in these ten years God
-
is asking us to not only be firm and stand
-
up on our convictions as Christians, okay, but also be
-
tested to be shown that we are strong and come
-
out of the process being stronger. Because if you remember
-
in Daniel, what happened after the ten days, he and
-
his friends they fasted the Daniel Fast, so they did
-
not eat food offered to idols and the meat and
-
the drinks that everyone else had. But he came out
-
looking The Bible says, they look fat, fatter.
-
And more healthy and stronger.
-
Right, So this is that prophetic word over us in
-
twenty twenty five, twenty six, that in these ten days,
-
which implies ten years for us, is for us to
-
not only be tested and to get our house in order,
-
our convictions in order, but in the process, after these
-
ten years, we're going to come out looking better, fatter, plumb,
-
and juicy and strong and shiny and amazing.
-
That is in the spirit luck in the spirit. Okay,
-
in spirit.
-
That is the prophetic word over our lives in twenty thirty.
-
So we can see that as a timeframe, right, you know,
-
and we need to be aware of where we're and
-
what is God doing now so we can follow along
-
with him. Okay, So maybe in twenty thirty will look
-
maybe or like and you can say, like, hey, don't
-
recognize any of them, is so buffing, Like Oh yeah,
-
that's the prophetic word over us in a spiritual sense.
-
Okay.
-
So yeah, next light, the next set of numbers will
-
look at So there's a time frame ten years for
-
us to be tested and be found being better. The
-
next slide here is this number one thousand times one thousand, right,
-
So what's one thousand times one thousand, one million?
-
Six zeros? Right? Six zeros and one one.
-
Let me say that this is not a mathematical equation first,
-
but it's a vision that we have on where we're going. Okay,
-
So just have that in mind. So one thousand times
-
one thousand for today doesn't mean one million, okay, just
-
like one plus one doesn't equal to To explain this,
-
I will want to share the story of how this
-
number came about. If you have been with X for
-
many years, you might already know this story. If you
-
are new, I think I will adults will share very
-
openly what happened now because I was there.
-
I was there during this process. I think many of
-
you were there also.
-
So this, this vision one thousand times one thousand, came
-
when we lost the Glenn Mary building. Okay, So there
-
was a time in X many many years ago whereas
-
it was only one worship service in Subang, Okay, I
-
can't really imagine that now, of course not.
-
We're so spraad out right.
-
And during that time it was probably thirteen to fourteen
-
years ago.
-
Okay, that's how long.
-
Right, During that time, there were about one thousand people.
-
That's where the first one thousand came from. And we
-
as a church, we were in the process of pursuing
-
a building in Glenn, Mary. It was an old factory
-
that we want to convert to become our dream home, right,
-
our dream home as a church, having nice stage, nice
-
aircorn and lights and sound and excellent theater sitting. And
-
I was there, and I also remember like on the
-
first few times where we were like, okay, you know,
-
we made the initial payment, everyone gave, We had faith
-
giving into this dream that we had. And there was
-
one night where they caught all of us to go
-
and like clean the church or so.
-
Yeah. So so we.
-
All went there and I think I wasn't even married yet,
-
that wasn't married yet. I remember chunko like uh like
-
leaves and like weed on the ground to clear the place.
-
H So, So I have those memories. And we actually
-
met there so once or twice once right as leaders
-
or church church, right, Yeah, we actually met there. So
-
imagine like being an empty warehouse, super hot ground or
-
dusty just being plastic chairs go and like have faith
-
to have silvice there. Right, it was a very big place.
-
I could imagine how nice it was after renovation. So
-
we were there in that place, and then suddenly we
-
lost the building. We lost the building, we lost the
-
investment we put in, we lost the the dream. It
-
was actually very painful, right because for for months and
-
probably a year, we're building up to, Oh, God, it's
-
going to give us this place. It's going to be
-
so beautiful. We're going to be able to meet there,
-
invite our friends, have Christmas parties there.
-
And we lost the building.
-
And I think I think Pastor Kenneth to keep the
-
worse because he was leading us towards there. We only
-
not just lose the building, we lost financially as well, right,
-
And it was a disappointment. It was a massive disappointment
-
to everyone in church, so painful. I think it sort
-
of became news in among the churches in Malaysia, so like,
-
allow this church, I don't know what they do then
-
they lost the building?
-
How you I mean from the outsideler.
-
But the statement here is what was a disappointment was
-
an appointment by God.
-
Okay, so at that moment.
-
God began to reveal that process of pain gave us
-
the vision of one thousand times one thousand. Okay, struck
-
me for a while. So instead of building this one monument,
-
First of all, I'm not saying that having a very
-
nice building as a church is a wrong thing. I
-
know many other churches have that. It's like, it's just
-
not who we are called to be as a church.
-
Okay.
-
So God has caught many a literatures to have that
-
excellence and we totally support them.
-
But for us, that process that.
-
We went through birth out this vision that God has
-
called us as X.
-
Okay, so you go to the next light.
-
The building was lost, but we found our vision and
-
God said this, don't build a cathedral for me, but
-
spread out right. So you can ask many questions that
-
are like, why do we even have to lose the building,
-
Why do we have to lose financially? You know, why
-
did God bring us through that process? But the correct
-
question to us is, actually, God, through this process of disappointment,
-
what are you teaching us? And from that we got
-
one thousand times one thousand, and essentially this is what
-
it is. Don't build a cathedral, don't build a monument.
-
Nothing wrong with that, But for us as X we
-
are not called to build one monument, right. We are
-
called to be a movement, a movement spread out scattered
-
about this few weeks ago. We're called to be scattered
-
and be sold in a light in many different places.
-
So that is what one thousand times one thousand is
-
right next light to Pasta Kenneth receiving that word from God.
-
This is what we can see. If Pasta Kenneth can
-
be used by God to build one thousand people at
-
that time, then God can do it again with every
-
person that was there.
-
So that is the vision. You guys are part of
-
this vision, right.
-
I think now we are more than one thousand people,
-
maybe thousand and five or more, spread across different places
-
in Malaysia and across the globe. But it's Earth today
-
in twenty twenty five, going to twenty twenty six, fulfilling
-
that calling that God has given us. From that one
-
thousand people, each one can then go and become like
-
a Pastor Kenneth. So John Rach is fulfilling that I
-
mean when he when he started exclaiming, and now Jason
-
and Jazz are fulfilling that vision here past the Lazarus
-
in Botswana. Right, he's fulfilling that vision. I'm going to
-
become that agent in that earth and that world whereb
-
I am over there.
-
Right.
-
You know, if you're a student in Taylor's you need
-
you're gonna fulfill that vision as well. Right, Not just
-
a cathedral, not just a monument, but I'll do a
-
movement wherever I'm at.
-
Okay, So that's the vision.
-
So we want we dream that God will use every
-
person in X the same way. Okay, next night, the
-
one thousand that we already have cannot just remain as
-
they are, but they are to be made disciples and
-
then leaders and finally daniels that will be sent out
-
to fill the earth with the knowledge of the globe
-
of the Lord. So that is what one thousand times
-
one thousand means. The next part about this is the
-
next one thousand, right, So you see now the rid
-
color being on the other side. So we are we are,
-
we have the first one thousand ready and we're in
-
the process of what the next one thousand will look like.
-
And I just want to summarize by saying this that
-
the next one thousand is what God can do. Okay,
-
So if you really do the mathematical equation one k
-
times one k be goes. The one million is a
-
super big number, right. If I had that much money,
-
I'll be quite happy.
-
Right.
-
But the first one thousand is our part. The next
-
one thousand is what God can do miraculously.
-
Okay. So our focus is just taking care of what
-
we have already. Okay.
-
So next light bottom line of discipleship is followed me
-
as I follow Christ and next life, we will then
-
see the next one thousand being fulfilled come to pass
-
if we keep going. We keep going, making disciples, planting churches,
-
producing leasers, leaders, and raising Daniels. Okay, So Daniel one
-
twenty says this Daniel was found to be ten times
-
better than the rest. Right, So this is also the
-
same story we said earlier. Daniel chose to stand firm
-
with his conviction as a Jewish believer, and what happened
-
was after the ten days, he was not only found,
-
he not only survived, but he was ten times better.
-
So this is also a prophetic word for us that
-
God is bringing us to a place of ten times
-
abandon life ten acts right, from being just about one
-
thousand to then being ten thousand and ten years in
-
twenty thirty. That's the prophetic word that is being spoken
-
over us.
-
Amen.
-
Okay, So I'm gonna end shortly. I've got three more
-
slides and I want to wrap this up. And how
-
we'll wrap it up today is after saying all that,
-
so many things around the last two weekends, how do
-
we focus and where do we focus?
-
What are things we can do now? Okay? Next life?
-
So the focus of the year looking into next year.
-
Is we need to first of all, take stock of
-
the first one thousand, take stock of all that God
-
has already given to us, and draw their best. So
-
there are three questions in your note, and it's really
-
a self reflection question. What has God given us?
-
Or you.
-
Think about it in your own time, reflect in your
-
own time? What has God given me.
-
Already?
-
What lives he has already given me? Who has He
-
given in my care? What talents has God given me?
-
What gift things has God given me?
-
Right?
-
The next question, why do you think He's given us
-
him or her or them?
-
Right?
-
So, if you're a homes leader here, what has God
-
given me? Who has God given me? And why are
-
these people in my care? Question number three, what is
-
the best we can do to bring out the best
-
in them? What is the best we can do to
-
bring out the best in them? So we can look
-
at it at so many different angles, because all of
-
us wear many different hats today. We're a parent in
-
our families, we are leaders in our organizations. We could
-
be a leader here in church as well. The focus
-
is for us to take stock of what we have today. Okay,
-
So an illustration of this is let's say you have
-
not already have a house. God has given me a house,
-
and I have four rooms in the house right, right,
-
and then, so I need to be a good stord
-
of that.
-
But I want a bigger house. I want a house
-
with ten rooms, right, six small rooms?
-
But if I haven't fully utilized my space, I'm only
-
using two rooms, you know, one for my kid.
-
Want to host homes or something.
-
It's just an illustration, right, And the other two rooms
-
are left vacant.
-
Not being used.
-
Then my house is not fully utilize to its fullness.
-
So why would God then give me more rooms?
-
Right?
-
We look at this pattern in scripture on and on.
-
God will only give us more if we are faithful
-
with what He has already given us before. Right, The
-
parable of the talents. Each of them were faithful with
-
their own talent one, three, or five. Right, So we
-
need to be faithful with what we already have. Take stop,
-
look at what God has given us today before the
-
multiplication can happen.
-
Next light. So this just repeats what I say.
-
God will not give us more if we have not
-
been faithful with what He has already given to us.
-
We need to use all the talents God has given
-
us and not bury it in the ground.
-
Right, So when we do the possible, we take stuck.
-
God will do the impossible. Man the last light for
-
today and as I get the band to come up.
-
So this is just a reminder that.
-
At least at this second part of the series, having
-
said all that was said, our mission is to make disciples,
-
and God uses the man, not just a manual, not
-
just a system. God uses me as a person to
-
influence many. And didn't I then need to also produce
-
leaders right and become Daniels in the marketplace. And to
-
start off if we haven't been doing that, is to
-
be faithful in what God has already given to me today,
-
what God has already Who are the lives God has
-
given to me today? What are the talents and gives
-
that God has been given to me today, and I
-
need to be faithful with the first one thousand and
-
then God will do the rest and the multiplication. So
-
that's where were at at this second part of the series.
-
I think if you have been in asks for many years,
-
all these vision statements are very familiar to us.
-
So I want to say.
-
That that the leadership and God has been very consistent
-
in where He's leading us as a church. It hasn't
-
changed for many years, and it will not change until
-
we see God's word fulfill both in our lives and
-
in the church. So He is a faithful God and
-
we need to continue to do our own part in
-
the bigger picture to be faithful stewards.
