  1. You're listening to a message to go from ast church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. The title of my message is beyond the Upper Room.

  4. Thank you, check TBT, thank you Jesus. I just have

  5. to ask, I got all these points. Please give me

  6. a good tighter because I get asked a question by

  7. x TV order please give us a tightle and I

  8. just say whatever you guys talk off, just put it in. Yeah,

  9. but beyond the Upper Room only because I do think

  10. that you know, as a believer, as Christian, we are called,

  11. you know, to live beyond the four walls of the Church. Amen,

  12. You're called to live beyond what we could even think

  13. or imagine during the CNY. You know, as you talk

  14. to different people, you also realize how far you have grown,

  15. which means this is how far we have grown in

  16. the Lord. Because sometimes you know, when you talk to

  17. different ones and all they could just assume me was

  18. just problems after problems, or situation after situation. It's almost

  19. like there is no room or there is no exit exit,

  20. there's no sunlight at the end, there is no light

  21. at the end of the tunnel. But as believers, I

  22. do believe that we have a way out, and we

  23. have a solution.

  24. We have you know, away of escape.

  25. So it really got me this place just to think

  26. about as believers, how much God has deposited within us,

  27. the ability to see beyond just the four walls of

  28. a church, beyond the four walls of the room, in

  29. your life, in your journey, as well as you grow right,

  30. there is no such as the date end. If you

  31. are a believerd someone say, amen, Really, there is no

  32. date end.

  33. As a believer.

  34. You know in everything, friends, there is a way out,

  35. there is hope, there is salvation right Actcepter one, Verse

  36. four starts off with this, I'm going away from four

  37. to I think verse eight, Verse four starts off with this.

  38. And being assembled together with them, he commanded them not

  39. to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise

  40. of the Father, which he said, you have heard from me.

  41. For don't truly baptized with water, But you shall baptize

  42. with the Holy Spirit, not for many, not many days

  43. from now. Therefore, when they have come together, they ask him, saying, Lord,

  44. will you at this time restore the Kingdom of Israel?

  45. And he said to them, it is not for you

  46. to know the times or odd season, which the Father

  47. has put in his own authority. But you shall receive

  48. power when you when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You

  49. should be my witness to me in Jerusalem, in all

  50. Judea years and Maria, and to the ends of the earth.

  51. Amen.

  52. So I do believe that all of us here are

  53. called to live beyond the boundaries of what we could

  54. take off. The disciples was really focused on seeing the

  55. Kingdom of Israel, the physical kingdom of visual being restored.

  56. And however, you know, sometimes you know, once you are fashioned,

  57. once we are caught up in the way we think

  58. is all we could think of in this room, in

  59. this way, in this is my life, this is my

  60. something could have happened to us, all right, And because

  61. something could have happened to us, it imprinted somebody within us.

  62. This is all I deserve in my life.

  63. But the Bible here says, and because the Holy Strait

  64. is reminding the Apaustus that you are supposed to be

  65. caught to the ends of the earth, you're supposed to

  66. be caught to live beyond Jerusalem. I think many of

  67. us sometimes you're just so stuck with Jerusalem. Really not

  68. physically they're so stuck with our ways, So start with

  69. our thoughts and how we see life. You know this

  70. this Chinese year I was, I had a reunion with

  71. my my brother, came back from Singapore, sitting down with him,

  72. and you know, and family and stuff, you know, every

  73. CN why I'm not sure. Growing up, as has always

  74. been as a child, we've been asked like, so, how

  75. do you.

  76. Do in your exams? Right? Right? You have a report

  77. time at the.

  78. School and give up report cuts right sometimes CMI also.

  79. Is a report cut time was as well.

  80. Comparison between siblings and also cousins and stuff, how many

  81. age you will get and what position you are in

  82. your form, in your class and stuff like that. And

  83. after a while I decided, no, I was just too

  84. lazy to be caught up in the red race. I

  85. decided not to do very well in the classes. So

  86. they start asking me not not not not the good

  87. testimony back there growing up, but they start asking me,

  88. it's only my brother who.

  89. Was it's still in the race.

  90. Night A one seven A ones and stuff like that,

  91. And then like, okay, so that one one person in

  92. the family championing that that cause the other person just

  93. decided to focus on eating.

  94. But sometimes you can get so caught up.

  95. This is the way to live our life, right, But

  96. God wants to remind us this morning, no matter what

  97. we have been through in our growing up years, that

  98. we are called to live beyond Jerusalem. We are created

  99. by God for a bigger purpose and calling. Although you

  100. have heard this before, and you maybe you've been pushed

  101. to before, every reminded before. Really I want to want

  102. to encourage you. We are called for a bigger purpose

  103. and calling in our life. I truly believe everyone of

  104. us here we are so uniquely, so uniquely imprinted by

  105. God that none of us here are the same. And

  106. therefore we must understand and know that you and I

  107. do have a purpose here on earth. Besides you know,

  108. doing our daily grind, getting married, having kids, going to work,

  109. getting a degree, all those it's what we are called

  110. to do. But beyond that, there is a calling that

  111. only you and I could fulfill. That's why God has

  112. given us life and life more abundantly.

  113. You and I need to be reminded.

  114. Even this Chinese seria right when you go and you

  115. re see your relative go like, is this all to life?

  116. Really? Is this all to life.

  117. You know, the only reason why my brother coming from Singapore,

  118. besides seeing my dad is to play fire crackers. To

  119. play fire crackers, right, I've never seen somebody is so

  120. excited now, different than when you're growing up. But you

  121. got no money, right, so you just quick whatever fire

  122. creakers you could fight, you know what I mean, the

  123. pop up one and stuff like that. Now when you

  124. start making good currency money coming from Singapore over here, right,

  125. the fire crakers has decided to expand bigger. Right. I

  126. saw from the videos it was it was one of

  127. those like yo, you should up in the sky and

  128. just have a lot bag and stuff like Now it's

  129. really like what what Disney closing ceremonies like that. A

  130. friend of mine who's working in Singapore also came back

  131. and all I could see from all their videos is

  132. fire crackers, right, and the fire works amazing?

  133. Right, what money could do?

  134. But friends, I think, honestly speaking, it's beyond the fire crackers.

  135. Is beyond the fireworks, right, And it really reminds us

  136. that you know, during this Chinese seriy, right as you

  137. meet a relative, right as you talked to them, you

  138. you caught up with their news and catch up with

  139. their life and stuff like that that we could impart encouragement. Really,

  140. your presence is also an encouragement to some of them, right,

  141. your spouss and courage you. So therefore we are called

  142. for a bigger purpose, not just to finish, to help

  143. people finish. They are choices to your cookies. I went

  144. to a house and you'll really like come eat and

  145. eat like one cookie, punk cracker cookie, cookie, cookie chocolates.

  146. So when the right ice cream to my wife, that's

  147. that's large, that's breakfast, large, a dinner. But first we've

  148. been entrusted by God to be his witness, so over

  149. almost over every meal, I want to ask, so how

  150. how have you been? Not the better, just really ask

  151. how people, how have you been? Because really true the

  152. whole year, right, people will go through their journey, their journey,

  153. their journey that lies ups and downs, their challenges, you know,

  154. and we go to such pace of life whereby to

  155. stop for a while to ask people.

  156. It's hard.

  157. We're all wired to do things on friends and sometimes

  158. my text messages is it's.

  159. Like have you done this? Have you done that? Right?

  160. Very seldom I don't have to ask you whether you

  161. eat or not because automatically, if you're hungry, you're going

  162. to eat right.

  163. You don't have to.

  164. Tell me what you eat for lunch because I don't

  165. need to know, because I wasn't in the lunch meeting.

  166. Because if I know that, I'll be blessed we as well, hallelujah.

  167. So therefore, first you'll be entrusted by God to be

  168. a sweetness, to carry his presence. I want you to

  169. imagine that, friends, if you are caught by God right

  170. for every occasion into a meeting room, into a bodroom.

  171. Friends.

  172. So therefore, we are not just there to represent ourselves.

  173. You understand that we're not there in the reunion line

  174. to represents ourselves. You're not there, you know, brought me

  175. thing to represent ourselves. We also represent God in the picture.

  176. Really God in a moment, all right. I remember one time,

  177. you know, I was driving. I was driving and someone

  178. actually couldn't stop his car and crash into me. It's

  179. like nothing much really like the bumper just cast a

  180. couple of scratches and stuff like that, right, And I

  181. know that some people really so I'm not here to

  182. tell you what to do what not to do, but

  183. this was my response.

  184. I look at her. She was she panicked.

  185. She I'm so sorry, you know, I crashed your car,

  186. and you know, stuff like that. And I think she

  187. was panic because she thought she has to pay a

  188. lot of money, right, I know people do it once

  189. scratches actually repined the whole doll.

  190. I understand that I've been there before.

  191. I can before the same time I scratch, pin back

  192. the whole doll, okay, and stuff like So. I remember that,

  193. you know that at the very point in time you

  194. have a choice, like what's your response is gonna be?

  195. Are you gonna need pick? Are you going to like

  196. one scratch one one? One? Thing?

  197. Right? I remember looking at.

  198. Her, I said say, I say, miss, don't worry about it.

  199. It's just a very very small, like one or two

  200. lines to need. It's okay, you know, a couple of polish,

  201. it will be fine. Of all the cards a bit

  202. older already. So that's me all right. Then, I remember that,

  203. you know when I got in when I actually crashed

  204. into someone else, right, very something, but once about you

  205. do one crashing someone else? I were like, lord, you

  206. know I've extended this favor to someone else, though, would

  207. you I extended this grace to someone else. I extended

  208. this mercy to someone else. Lord, I would like to

  209. experience one. Does he like to receive mercy as well?

  210. You know, how do we understand? I'm trying to say, right,

  211. and I did? Okay, the I show you I crashed

  212. it into a murk. Okay, one of two scratches, same

  213. one or two scratches, Okay, the bumper still in place,

  214. halle Ah praist. Everything was okay. It's just that he

  215. could if he wanted to. If you do not understand,

  216. you could if you wanted to, because it's your weaker

  217. nothing like God. Please, I love to receive that, and

  218. I did, and I did. I did receive that. And

  219. I do believe, friends, that when we've been trusted by

  220. God to represent God in that meeting room. Friends, how

  221. many of you know that you're not the only Christians

  222. out there? You're not the only believer in the world

  223. out there. When you're at someone else mercy, right, and

  224. the mercy is given to you when you receive it.

  225. When you receive it, friends, you recognize that you've been

  226. entrusted by God to extend the mercy to someone else,

  227. just like you extended the mercy to someone else. So

  228. therefore it's all starts with the promise. Friends, The Bible says,

  229. it all starts with the promise. It's all stuff with

  230. God's promise, God's whisper to Moses and the bush. I

  231. want you to that, because many times in our journey, friends,

  232. we Forgod. We can forget. We can forget, we can

  233. we don't remember because of different things that God always

  234. starts with a whisper.

  235. Calling out your name.

  236. God always starts with a notch in your heart to

  237. bring to remembrance. God always used circumstances.

  238. Movies, right song, the news to bring to remembrance his word,

  239. his promise.

  240. I want to let you know, friends, you can't run

  241. away from God.

  242. You can't. Actually you can't.

  243. I only heard the story that someone just told God, God,

  244. please leave me alone. And God did, and and and

  245. and this creature just said that he really died and

  246. miserable death because at his death, bait, he will just

  247. croyd to God. I said, what's happening to me? Could

  248. you imagine the whole existence of your life? You just

  249. told the Lord leave me alone. The Bible says, you

  250. cannot run away from his presence. So the metal way

  251. you are with your journey, or what what choices you

  252. have made right, or what choices that other people made

  253. about you, That doesn't change his call upon your life,

  254. his word for you. Moses, friends, ran away from Egypt.

  255. I mean, come on, you educated the best of university.

  256. You know, you know, But because he couldn't control his

  257. temper that very moment. One incident, friends, you know me,

  258. you know that one incident something that could really change

  259. your life. That one incident, friends, just you lost it.

  260. You lost it. Keep someone Moses killed. Someone ran away

  261. to the back of the desert tending sheeps whereby last

  262. time he had people attending the ships. Now he has

  263. to do the job. And the burning bush God remembered Moses.

  264. So what let you friends? It's all stuff with the promise.

  265. Some will may think that, you know, I'm so bad,

  266. I'm not good enough that I will have any promise

  267. of God. There's no specific promise. Every Bible verse is

  268. a promise, It's true. But I want to let you

  269. know that also that God knows you by name. So therefore, first,

  270. what what inspires me may not inspires you, But what

  271. inspires you may not inspires me. What gods how God

  272. speaks to me will be very different how God speaks

  273. to you. I mean, not everyone reading the Bible had

  274. the burning bush experience, because if it is, we'll be.

  275. Looking at every bush, this bush burning? Is this bush burning?

  276. Is it right?

  277. No, don't have friends, So therefore, friends, I do believe

  278. that all of us here have God's promise. So every

  279. promise requires waiting. Come on, every promise requires waiting. We

  280. just don't like waiting, my friends. A time prayer for

  281. the promise to come to pass, is it true? A

  282. time period for the promise to come to pass? As

  283. human being, waiting, it's not our strongest strength. I think

  284. back in those days before the technology, we think, what's

  285. our strongest strength? You wait for a bus? Okay, this

  286. was before person, before all, this was s j busses.

  287. If you're living, you understand, okay, Sejia busses, buss mini,

  288. I name, what is that?

  289. You say?

  290. This? The buss Mini, Sjia busses and stuff like that. Right,

  291. So we were very accustomed to waiting for busses.

  292. We know that the bus will come on.

  293. Friends, whether or not the buss that will come and

  294. pick you out space for you to squeeze it. It's

  295. a separate story altogether. I've actually before if you're back

  296. in those times, it's your buss number. The bus is empty, however,

  297. bus where we decide not to stop just bypass you.

  298. And I've known people friends who wait for the next

  299. one to come. Very seldom say oh the bus messed

  300. me read we decided to walk home.

  301. Very seldom.

  302. One friends, as everyone who's in the bus, stage bus stop,

  303. we'll all wait for the bus rain or shine. Every's

  304. raining is even worse because the seat that they desire

  305. you cannot see one friends, everyone way standing on the

  306. seat because the water that's from the road will overflow

  307. to the bus stop and there will be cramming every

  308. way way kramming inside could imagine the body order in there.

  309. But every promise to cryst waiting, just like live friends.

  310. Sometimes you wait. So on Thursday, chay some south of

  311. your celebrating. I went to JBG to sort or something

  312. or I paid a summer long time ago, but it

  313. was still outstanding on my GBGP. So I just thought,

  314. no Thursday month, nobody would be around but low and

  315. behold when they eleveled something. I'm so sorry, sir, you're

  316. the number for to pay the summer or finish read.

  317. I want to shream the the peper article. I thought

  318. you see that.

  319. These people say there's no such as a finish number,

  320. but anyway to come back at two o'clock. So I

  321. came back one forty five, and they had this very

  322. rare system, very very rare system. You're supposed to scan

  323. the QR code for the q number, right, just supposed

  324. to scan. All of us was frantically out of the

  325. hot sun scanning the QR code.

  326. Right.

  327. But friends, they turn off the system. So every time

  328. you scan it, you just pop up there. I'm so sorry,

  329. the number is finish red right, come back in another day,

  330. but we know that the counter's gonna be open at

  331. two o'clock. By two clock, I'm sure. So almost a

  332. frantically scanning scanny. You want to be number one, Want

  333. to be number one? Want to be number one because

  334. you want to wait? There we craze waiting, friends, It

  335. really we promise you crie waiting and also a time

  336. for the to be dependent on the promise, to fulfill

  337. the promise. This is one of the hardest things, no, friends,

  338. because I think in our life and your journey of

  339. upbringing right. A lot of things have been promised to

  340. you but now will come to pass by someone you trusted,

  341. someone you've known close to you, someone is not close

  342. to you promise you something that you go like, okay.

  343. This is why.

  344. Like, for example, someone not close we say one day

  345. we catch up. Okay, oh coffee. After fifteen years you

  346. catch up. Those are not very close that you understand.

  347. But those who are close to you when you say

  348. catch up. And I know people now church really take

  349. those statements very seriously. One how do you see see

  350. ketch up? But after two years never catch up with me?

  351. One still waiting. It's really dependent on the promises. Who

  352. don't the one who made the promise? Right, Isaiah forty

  353. Wait upon the lots you know the sscripture shall renew

  354. their strength. They shall moount on like wings, like ears,

  355. they shall not they shall run, and not be weary,

  356. and not faint. Wa think with expectation. Those that weigh

  357. upon the Lord shall renew their strength. I guess what

  358. it really means is that when you wait, friends, when

  359. you wait, you're supposed to be in a sense stationary

  360. at a particular's space, not location of friends, not just

  361. the bus stop space restleless your heart.

  362. You're not going to be r waiting.

  363. And putting yourself checking all the app for whether it's

  364. grab where there's something else to look for transportation. When

  365. you wait for something, you just wait for something. I

  366. think many times we are always looking for solution, constantly

  367. looking for an answer. Everything is a solution out there.

  368. But the Bible us is asking us to wait upon

  369. the Lord. Waiting waiting, it's expecting something to happen.

  370. It's called hope.

  371. Really waiting for something that happens, call hope. Think about

  372. it for a moment. Just everybody's low some d year.

  373. Everybody had a chance to low some and you know

  374. everybody just see a lot of nice greetings out there

  375. from good business to after that decide to be creative

  376. when you find your life partner and you have twins, right,

  377. and you have your pet dog and stuff like that,

  378. and there's a nice hope, friends, and we're hoping that this.

  379. Everyone's hoping that DC will be kinder, nicer, less surprises, right,

  380. if you're hoping and throughout the whole year, we are

  381. just cling on to this hope that God will see

  382. this come to pass. Waiting help us to reset our priorities.

  383. Think about for a moment. Because you have to wait,

  384. your priorities get resetted. It helps you to slow down

  385. for a moment to think what's really important. When you

  386. go to a gem, praise the loss of you're so

  387. brave to go up to Pinang and down down south

  388. your whole during the gem time, Right, you go up

  389. and down and what you have to go to really

  390. resets your priority because you can't go anywhere but just

  391. go along with life already that the road.

  392. That's prepared me in front of you.

  393. Right, you wish your car could fly, but couldn't you

  394. wish you could take the emergency leader and you're the

  395. only one with a special pass everywhere. Look at you

  396. were greed and envy who right? You wish we just

  397. turned on and some led switch in your car that

  398. had flashes blue light right our change But the vehicle

  399. one time? Okay, the land crew from the one from

  400. from from a secondhand shop or rather from a guy

  401. who plays forward drive and the record itself. He had

  402. a shot wave radio all right, but he also in

  403. started a police siren. He also is a police siren

  404. in he goes to the jungle.

  405. All the time.

  406. Right, if we goes in younger, there was a we

  407. were testing of the police siren not here, right, but

  408. we didn't use it. We only use it to we

  409. use only use it doing cammony.

  410. To wake people up, all right.

  411. It's devotion type, right, So we think help us to

  412. reset our priorities. We think we knew our strength. Come on,

  413. because you don't have to run helter skelter, You don't

  414. have to go everywhere and everywhere. It renews your strength.

  415. Strength comes always comes for purpose, and friends, you think

  416. about it, that God gives you strength for a reason

  417. and for a purpose. We so much strength we you friends,

  418. After a while, there's only so much could take off

  419. yourself looking in front of a mirror. No body builder,

  420. I know, built the body with such strength for him

  421. to be a mare alone. There's nobody that goes to

  422. the gym and build really good guns on arms around

  423. the arms. There friends to be a mire alone and

  424. come out wear really beggy clothes. I don't want people

  425. to know I've not seen that. I have not seen that.

  426. Friends.

  427. I used so back then before this modern day gym

  428. came up, right, friends, you know those old school gym

  429. up in the shop second floor, first floor on those

  430. really all nothing nothing nothing nothing, nothing electronica or mechanical one.

  431. So there was a there was a there was an

  432. anchor that was managing the gym I used to go

  433. to when I was fifteen years old, former bodybuilder and

  434. this stuff like that.

  435. Friends, he was huge, huge, but he.

  436. Rarely small little singlet, small little single friends carrying it

  437. out of the whiter parts of these friends. Right, I

  438. want to day got cool you, I'll give you. I

  439. got beggy size T shirt I give first. I've not

  440. I've not seen anyone who works out tried to hide

  441. their masters. So therefore, friends, once God gives you strength,

  442. the strength is not for you to enjoy alone, enjoy

  443. your loone mean to say that you look in front

  444. of the mirror that, oh I love my bicep?

  445. Who right, I love my tray?

  446. Said?

  447. Oh yeah right, put more oil.

  448. I've not seen anyone who just indulges themselves in front

  449. of the mirror that way. That got oh yo, let

  450. me hide, let me hide it, okay, let me wear

  451. beggy cloes.

  452. Who I don't people to see?

  453. No, so it could you imagine if that's real for

  454. the physical body, how much more realforce spirituous strength, how.

  455. Much more rail?

  456. And God said, those wait upon us shall renew their strength.

  457. Strength always comes for a purpose, and for a reason.

  458. The strength may not be for yourself and before someone

  459. you are going to meet, whereby who really needs your

  460. help support prayer to journey with them through the course

  461. of life, whereby the person don't have enough strength anymore.

  462. So sometimes you always think that this strength is only

  463. for myself. See, only God knows your life journey. Therefore

  464. he knows what strength you need. God knows your life journey.

  465. Therefore he knows what strength you need for this life.

  466. He doesn't prepare you give you extra strength because your

  467. driver needs a bit more. Chess macilla, you see the

  468. white rolling? Ok? Sorry God, So therefore God no, So

  469. we think it reminds us who we trust? Who us

  470. who we trust? Reminds us who we trust? All right, however,

  471. we don't like to wait. We want now immediately, you

  472. know that, right, We don't like to wait. Galisious five,

  473. verse seventeen says, reminds us is the flesh last against

  474. the spirit, right, the spirit against the flesh. And this

  475. to a country to one another so that you don't

  476. do the things that you wish. So the flesh says,

  477. don't wait, don't wait, don't wait. It's hot under the

  478. hot sun, under the hot weather, and you know that

  479. it's reachable within your strength. Those are every thing publics

  480. from transportation.

  481. Before you understand this.

  482. Your house is not very far away, maybe about two kilometers,

  483. and that's about twenty four minutes walk. Not far away,

  484. but yes, under the hot sun, you know the bus

  485. is gonna come. So the time for you to take

  486. to go back home, the time for you wait for

  487. the buses about the same. But the flash, you say,

  488. I had to wait for the bus. How sure are

  489. you this bus that's coming later. Right, we'll pick you up.

  490. I've been on before. On the bus friends, no space.

  491. I really believe the script you say, God, we'll make

  492. away where it seems to be no way. Seriously, I

  493. was literally hanging out from the steps of the bus. Right,

  494. those that we've been there before. One hand, you're holding

  495. onto the railing where you go up the bus. Word

  496. last time, the bus used to have this railing at

  497. the windows. So one hand there, one hand the other way,

  498. and all of.

  499. Us who were kids enjoyed it.

  500. We felt we were actually heroes back then, right, And

  501. the bus conductor was enjoyed it okay, because they were

  502. helping the students to talk that heroes that.

  503. And every are.

  504. The parent who look at us say that these guys

  505. are crazy but friends. Sometimes the temptation has always been this.

  506. When God asks us to wait in Jerusalem for the

  507. promise to come, we say, God, we understand. But at

  508. the same time, can we just gone with our journey

  509. and it can still bless us along the way. If

  510. you are God, therefore you should be able to bless us.

  511. But we're gone on our own, separate journey anyway. The

  512. temptation has always been this that we try to the

  513. word is explain our Christianity away to the way our

  514. flesh wants it. We try to explain our Christianity, our

  515. beliefs a way to our flesh wants it, rather than

  516. what the spirit wants. It's very easy to adept Christianity

  517. to our own flesh and tell me as Christian belief

  518. rather than our conviction or the lost's conviction upon our heart.

  519. It's very simple for it. It's it's so easy for

  520. us God. If you are God, right. Therefore, if I

  521. walk out from JUU so I don't have to wait here,

  522. you can bless me wherever I am.

  523. But I would choice make.

  524. If we have done that before, we have seen that

  525. before God blessed my plans. Bless my plans because in

  526. your planning there was God has wasn't involved.

  527. In that planning.

  528. If God was involved somehow somewhere and you're planning, then

  529. can But if God has never been involved in the

  530. planning and all suddenly say can you bless I remember

  531. one time the early days of church, you know, like

  532. like like the prayer between your prayer time and you know,

  533. and the leaders were out there was out there. A

  534. guy came up. Could you pray for me? I said, yeah, sure,

  535. what can I pray for? Could you pray and bless

  536. my relationship?

  537. Oh? Cool?

  538. Great, finally got a good friend. I said, Hey, is

  539. she around or oh there, she's not a Christian now

  540. believer And I'm like, oh, I say, God, I can

  541. pray for you. I can pray for you, but asking

  542. I said, did you pray about your relationship with us?

  543. And when?

  544. Of course you know it's we can adapt christian it

  545. to what our flesh wants, I said, did you did

  546. you pray about it at least? Did you think the

  547. lot about this relationship? Did you give a thought to

  548. God in this picture or was it all just you

  549. one in your way and asking God to bless it?

  550. And therefore, friends, it's a reminder for us, friends, waiting

  551. urism sometimes really helps us to put our flesh at

  552. this place. Don't go there, don't do this right, wait,

  553. go through that process, don't jump ship so quickly, and

  554. by the time at the end of the journey you

  555. go like, wow, I did not know Lord that you

  556. brought me through this journey of life.

  557. And time you come out.

  558. From the tunnel or from the situation, you go like,

  559. now you finally understood why God prepare you in such

  560. a manner such a way. Your flash screw me to

  561. you forgetting her? Leave this process? You know, why trouble

  562. yourself only to come to realization and this place where

  563. by by the time you finish the process like wow,

  564. I didn't know that God is able to bring you

  565. true See, real transformation happens when you go on the

  566. journey as well as you wait for the next journey,

  567. not constantly on the move all the time. Second thing

  568. is this that friends, the Bible reminds us to reminds us,

  569. you know, all of us, reminds us really to cultivate

  570. a relationship with God. Cultivate your relationship with Lord. So

  571. wait in Jerusalem. Friends, you do not wait because just

  572. an instruction. You wait because of relationship. Come on, you

  573. wait because of relationship. I've seen people before I'm going

  574. to study, wait for me, Okay, I'll come back. And

  575. some that can get married and something stuff they go over,

  576. see their things, they woke out final life partner. But

  577. you wait, you wait, you're because of relationship. You wait,

  578. right if there is no relationship, friends, you won't wait

  579. one friends, think about it for if there is no relationship,

  580. you won't wait. If there's no relationship, friends, you won't

  581. be complaining that. You know, my friend always sees to

  582. study and waited for her.

  583. No relationship.

  584. I thought she would come back, but she didn't. She's

  585. such a cruel person. You because I've seen people complain,

  586. friends complain about waiting too long for their food to meaning,

  587. say five minutes to Really, I've seen people complain before

  588. five minutes. Really want lots to complain. I put your

  589. name out on social media and stuff like that. You

  590. go like, I've seen people who wait because of relationship

  591. with the with the restaurant and no problem. Just say

  592. your time and say you're busy training meutes and said, right,

  593. it happens on friends. But because there's no relationship, so long, right,

  594. complain all the way been before, reunion't need it's one

  595. of them, right, those are outside of one friends. You

  596. order your order to set me one of friends. So

  597. my Singapore and siblings one of them right, and in laws. Right,

  598. I'm not in the sister law. But why so long

  599. want the food? I say, you just asked them the

  600. hatred ten minutes ago.

  601. What do you want?

  602. You asked the bigger the dishes ten minutes ago. This

  603. is not McDonald's, okay, right. They could not go like wow,

  604. because we've been we've been the restaurant before. They know,

  605. they know we are Christian, they know we are part

  606. We are also just leaders, right therefore we are we

  607. are kind of We say, are anything?

  608. You're very busy right now?

  609. We came you wanted to serve the dishes earlier, we

  610. weren't ready yet. Because we weren't ready yet, it's our faller.

  611. We the people haven't come yet, so you actually can

  612. you put on hold that they put on the whole year.

  613. You're the only table in the whole restaurant. They will

  614. wait for Yuma, so they have this is other big

  615. of us. You understand the cuesester how it works? Then

  616. my single print siblings, why so long when I hear

  617. what a restaurant is on this Manu're not cheap? Okay,

  618. all complaints because there is no relationship for us.

  619. It was Malaysia.

  620. Bit more relaxab It's okay right now, I'm trying to

  621. say this is that a lot of times people just

  622. wait without a relationship. Come on, Yeah, we heard they

  623. shall wait upon the Lord? Shall we rely? They should we?

  624. Isn't it true? Friends?

  625. The first word that we're focusing on in Isaiah the

  626. word strength because there's our desperate need. Yeah, but very

  627. seldomly focused on with upon the Lord God. I've been

  628. waiting since the day I was born, So you can't

  629. I'm exempted from.

  630. This part of scripture.

  631. I just want my strength right now, right, Give it

  632. to me right now, because I've been reading since the

  633. day I was born. Right, But the Bible says wait

  634. upon the Lord let me therefore, cultivate your relationship with

  635. the Lord. They therefore you understand where he gives you strength,

  636. it's not what we imagine strength to be. You have

  637. to come to a place why you know how to

  638. cultivate your relationship with the Lord. So, therefore I'm gonna

  639. ask you your quiet time. We talk about revival, right,

  640. it comes back to your quiet time. How is our

  641. quiet time? Do we read the Bible? Or are wedependent

  642. on the Bible? Who give you one scripture a day

  643. as a reminder to read the book to weak cultivate

  644. a relationship? Do you know more about God? It's very

  645. important for us. I understand. If not, you know what

  646. will happened. We assume this how God will move. We

  647. presume this how we're going. It's just that sometimes you

  648. don't spend enough time with our love. Once we just

  649. assume and make all the decisions all the way right,

  650. only to find out that actually did not. It's not

  651. what they wanted. So I had the prillaship take care

  652. of my dad. I always got stories about my dad

  653. and I have prilliers take care.

  654. Of my dad.

  655. Right, So I'm the only one left in Malaysia to

  656. take care of my dad. When I was young, I

  657. knew it is whoever first to leave the country don't

  658. have to take care. That was my aim. My aim

  659. was to get a college to get my Unity degree Australia.

  660. Australia. That's it.

  661. Don't come back anymore, right then the last person have

  662. the biggest sacrifice.

  663. Man, what the do?

  664. God caught me. I'm here in Malaysia. So my brother

  665. flew off to Singapore, my sister after that. The last

  666. person also flew off after that, so I'm left back here.

  667. So being around with dad ever since Mom passed away

  668. very different. First three years. Cannot those stuff with we

  669. cannot right, Mom's clothes cannot touch, shoes, can touch everything? Okay,

  670. everything touch only recently, about one month ago, I went

  671. and I said that, look, you gotta celebrate this two year.

  672. Right.

  673. My older brother typica more efficient on let's hire someone

  674. a cleaner to come and clean the house. And older

  675. people are very resistors to change, very hard, cannot change

  676. very hard. Or that my brother, go hire you cleaner?

  677. Why are you cleaner? Completic company? Complain again, know no relationship,

  678. they spend enough time. I say that it's okay, one

  679. all you need to do is to tell the person

  680. what to do and the person will do it.

  681. You don't have the strength to clean anymore. He doesn't.

  682. Again, every time when we don't develop relationship, what happens

  683. we just assume that the person needs helped, just hand help.

  684. But if you deep, you dig deep a bit further,

  685. you have relationship.

  686. So I say, they say that, look, I understand your

  687. your fears. Number One, you're not used to giving instruction

  688. to someone else because in your eyes, you don't see

  689. a class you've you always felt like it's very degrading

  690. to give someone instructions like that because he grew up

  691. in a kampung setting. It was hard times back then,

  692. a Robbert Tapper son and stuff like that, so very

  693. hard to see someone else. He's always like, I'll just

  694. do it my own strength. No relationship. Let's say that

  695. it's okay. One, you see how it happens. When you

  696. don't wait, you'll develop relationship. You just can come to

  697. a place whereby you assume this, how God will move, this,

  698. how God will carry out his plans for my life right,

  699. because I actually know I woke very differently than what

  700. you what you think. I woke very differently than what

  701. you think. How you could imagine because you don't spend

  702. enough time, and because I'm here f so like I did.

  703. I spend about five hours cleaning the house. I say

  704. that this five bag of stuff, I've got to take

  705. control away. He was so happy telling everybody his second

  706. sack and clean the house very good, and went there.

  707. You can you just tell everyone else how successful I

  708. am something else besides the house. Okay, I know they

  709. an extra, you know, merry point. If you're saying to

  710. me much earlier, when I was younger, you do very

  711. good to myself image. But now I'm fifty something already,

  712. no one's around this hearing. No secondly is going to

  713. be this all right, the Holy Spirit, I can just

  714. end this, end this one more point, Holy Spirit, right

  715. John forty Most twenty six. The help of the whole

  716. Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,

  717. will teach you all things and bring you to remembers

  718. all things I've said, the help of the Holy Spirit.

  719. So the Holy Spirit, friends teach, will teach you. The

  720. Bible is Holy Spirit will teach you, teach you very

  721. potful us to understand to come this hardware. But we

  722. want to learn, he's willing to teach about are we

  723. willing to learn or are really willing to listen? So

  724. don't be confused friends, to what your thoughts is, to

  725. what the.

  726. Holy Spirit is.

  727. Okay, I've seen a lot of Christian everybody's they just

  728. anything they want their away something said, God told me so,

  729. Holy Spirit told me so. When the Holy spirits and

  730. the person SiZ I didn't say a single word. The

  731. Holy Spirit told me so, especially if it comes to dating,

  732. when your friends, especially it comes to dating, the Holy

  733. Spirit told me.

  734. So, this is the right individual. Can I use Holy Spirit? Namely? Who?

  735. Who are? Who are? Who are we?

  736. Right?

  737. Your parents are? Who am I? Your God spoke to

  738. you so clearly? Or really right?

  739. No, not problem and stuff like that.

  740. However, when things don't work out well, and things don't

  741. work out well, friends don't work out well, the Holy

  742. Spirit wasn't in the picture. And I want you to

  743. observe this, kid the next time someone tell you the

  744. God brought me together. Then after when they argue things, well,

  745. you never go to hear God aswers to break up one.

  746. They start with the law, but always envy themselves.

  747. Then I thought to myself, why God would bring two

  748. indued individuals together to go through a life To argue, man,

  749. I know the Bible says iron shoppends I, but not

  750. this way. I. I don't think God would bring too

  751. induies together.

  752. How are you.

  753. Call so that you can mature in Christ?

  754. I don't think so? Does he does this kind of thing?

  755. My friends?

  756. The Holy Spirit will teach you, bring you to remember

  757. all things. That will say, come on, basically, first he

  758. teaches you, But.

  759. How many of us? We'll say?

  760. This? Right?

  761. True to us?

  762. That whyever we have learned? Not everything we can remember?

  763. So the Holy Spirit will remind us what he has

  764. taught us. That's why sometimes after we get angry with

  765. less Globo direct to someone else, don't you ever get

  766. a sense like she should have done that.

  767. Don't you ever get the sense that maybe she didn't

  768. use that.

  769. The choice of word, Maybe he could frame the word

  770. a bit better. Holy Spirit is bringing you to remembrance,

  771. to reminder the next time when you ever get into

  772. that situation, perhaps you could tone down, be a bit

  773. more relaxed. Don't be so the Holy.

  774. Spirit bring you to remember us. Isn't it amazing? Person?

  775. The Holy Spirit right he will guide you to all

  776. truth and empower you to glorify the Lord. Guide you

  777. to all truth, empower you to glorify the Lord. Finally,

  778. it's going to be this power to move forward. I'm

  779. going to end be this, Okay, So I say alt

  780. on except the one It says that you shall be

  781. my witness in Jerusalem, Judeo Samir, and all the ends

  782. of the earth.

  783. The Holy Spirit.

  784. Friends, when empowered individuals to be transformed, you know, the

  785. disciples when they met Jesus. I'll being you fisiers of men,

  786. from fishers of men, to become my witness, to become

  787. martyrd to die for Christ.

  788. I'm not worried.

  789. I'm not sure of friends, that if Jesus used the

  790. word you shall be my witness. Martyr Martes died for

  791. me at the very on stage when the Jesus called

  792. the disciples whether they are willing to or not. Could

  793. you imagine that the day you accept the Christ the preatures,

  794. how many we really to die for Christ? To be

  795. sent into the ten forty windows to preach Christ to

  796. Central Asia? Come forward and say goodbye to all your

  797. friends and relative right now We're gonna send you out.

  798. I can guarantee you, friends, it will be zero. People responding,

  799. it's because you know why our flesh.

  800. Really like you know, we like it here. We like

  801. it here, we like what we are used to.

  802. But Holy Spirit comes and help us to filter some

  803. of our priorities and say, hey, while you're holding on

  804. right now, it's just temporal. So transform you from my

  805. individual that's a bit frightened to be by witness. So

  806. transformation happened when the Holy strict falls upon you. He does,

  807. he does. I'm just gonna end with this story, your friends.

  808. I know it's three five.

  809. What do you end? Actually? Treated Okay, I.

  810. Just end with this story, right, I have to tell

  811. it nicely. I don't wise you think I'm just okay,

  812. I'm not very good. My words so came out. Jessica

  813. very good with the words and stuff like that. She

  814. writes the radio friends, everybody wants you, She writes your resume,

  815. everybody wants to hire you. A ready ex kidding so

  816. uh so doing commissionings that were there, right, My name

  817. was fleash Or one particular position, one particular position position

  818. all right, it's called the studio.

  819. Right.

  820. Some people asking what on earth is that I said,

  821. I also don't know, but I unders said that.

  822. Right, I know what is?

  823. I know what is?

  824. All right?

  825. The studio and spassa John from Singapore couldn't stop laughing.

  826. He just couldn't stop laughing. I told him what the

  827. studio is all about? His he laughed for this three

  828. good meaning it's really good laughter. No, it's not the

  829. laughter that's that's putting you down.

  830. Just really good laughter.

  831. Say oh, the for a person who do not know

  832. music in terns of the studio, I say, well, I said, God,

  833. massive is raceler.

  834. I said that.

  835. There After that he said that, oh, what do you

  836. do actually for that purpose? Uh? So we know of

  837. a common friend, common friend right in another state, common friend.

  838. I said, well, it's like.

  839. This person a right who manages, produces music and stuff

  840. like that. He just he he just couldn't stop laughing. Oh,

  841. you don't understand a single note. I say, I know,

  842. I don't know music. I don't know everything. But I

  843. guess this fall upon my lap. It's not that I

  844. wanted to know that. Pass the please give me this, okay,

  845. and therefore my life missions for fuel. I was put

  846. in the position, put in the place I only smile

  847. only because I told you John is John. Look, I

  848. guess God massive plan right number one, masterful plan, So

  849. I saws are given some things that we should never

  850. ask for. So therefore got masterful plan. Number two is

  851. going to be this my own strang because if with

  852. my own strength, friends, it will be nothing ever get produced,

  853. our friends nothing to get ever get produced.

  854. And stuff like that.

  855. I say, I only have one, just one aim. The

  856. scripture I got was every tongue, every tribe shall proclaim

  857. every just the word, every tongue and every tribe. I

  858. just had this imagination, this really imagination. I say, we

  859. are such a diverse groul malicious. It is, I think,

  860. one of the only very few diverse country in the world,

  861. very few, so many dialects here existing. I say that

  862. we are not the word is this that that's a church.

  863. We are not maximizing it, we are not leveraging on it.

  864. I say, English is not the only spoken language in

  865. our church. Right, I say, therefore, I say, by God,

  866. give us something like this. I say, I have you

  867. taken it into my imagination and stretch it as far

  868. as I can, so I always have a desire, really

  869. like I'm not so much into an English album, right,

  870. because I think that people championing it, I say I

  871. would love to. I will love to. I say, produce

  872. one song on hockeyn one song Hockey because I think

  873. there's a space for that. There is a space for that,

  874. because I say that.

  875. There are people.

  876. I know, my wife something at a phone call, al there,

  877. did you know any hockey peryers of worship?

  878. My grandma is dying.

  879. She needs to hear the gospel, and she was and

  880. my wife does have a least in her handful that

  881. she followers through that you listen to this song, listen

  882. to the song and stuff that.

  883. Do you have a song in hakka? Right?

  884. I know haka it's very written, right, and the stuff

  885. that how can more spoken?

  886. Right?

  887. Hakkas were small minority, right and more it's more for

  888. scolding rather for praise and worship.

  889. Right, But anyway, price worship hakka. I say that, I.

  890. Went like, if GPCC church in Indonesia there to branch

  891. out to produce a singer in in Japanese, what's stopping us?

  892. I say that, yeah, we may not be as talented

  893. as them, but at least we want to embark on.

  894. The journey to try out.

  895. So the Holy spirit, friends, and the Holy speak comes

  896. right upon my heart really like a desire to see right,

  897. so as I talk.

  898. So we were away at the Global Past's retreat. I

  899. talked to and guys from UK.

  900. They say, Elder will let you know we we have

  901. written eleven songs already eleven songs written, really, but so

  902. we are trying to figure out how to produce it.

  903. I say, great, have you heard about the studio? Right

  904. that I spoke the ex Botswana, Right Sydney is in

  905. charge of the album. Say old, we have raised up

  906. one thousand US dollars. I said, what do you do

  907. with that? We booked studio time. I went like, how

  908. is he working for you? We went to the studio

  909. of and the studio manager just told.

  910. That you guys got to work on your workers.

  911. So we spend the first eight hours working on our workers.

  912. I say, hey, can we help you or not? We

  913. have people here in Malaysia who's very good in this.

  914. Let me hook you up with someone. Right, we have

  915. Andrew Or ten in cheg Mih is very good. Right,

  916. So Pastor say that why don't you help us help

  917. me to put a global album together? Because extra as

  918. a movement, Malaysia is not the only one that writes

  919. songs globally. We have people around so, as I close friends,

  920. the Holy Street comes upon you, not just for us

  921. to say, look we've got guns, yeah, fantastic, right, but

  922. the strength given to you to be a blessing to

  923. the ends of the world. So therefore for us, I

  924. truly believe, as I close friends, that why it fall

  925. upon my lives, because it just tells me this, Can

  926. you just help me to see this come to pass?

  927. God has always had a unique calling upon ex church.

  928. Music is one of them.

  929. We have been very.

  930. Strong musically, and yes, some things we are we can

  931. get better, It's true, but we have never allowed budget

  932. to stop us, to limit our imagination. Never do you

  933. know that we have really good lyricists in our church.

  934. If you remove we composed our music, all right, I'm

  935. just gonna say this, save mistold me and you put

  936. it through AI to come out with a song, and

  937. you put it out there for other people to hear.

  938. Someone that will ask you that where and who have

  939. written this song? I'm more interested in the story at

  940. the end of the day.

  941. The story.

  942. We have very good scriptwriters in our church.

  943. Very good.

  944. I always ask myself this as like close friends, why

  945. can't we produce a good script? Why can't we produce

  946. a good script?

  947. Then?

  948. Why will touch people's heart?

  949. People watch a movie? Friends?

  950. So recently, I just watch a movie, said, heard of

  951. a movie sancha woman choir, right, a Taiwanese movie.

  952. That that really?

  953. That that that really? But I just saw the this

  954. people's feedback on the show.

  955. It's a very interesting show.

  956. My wife just cried, like she used about forty shue paper,

  957. so so she look at you cry?

  958. Not I looked that.

  959. I told my wife like my Mom's wakes away, so

  960. I didn't cry. Do you actually cry for a movie? Anyway?

  961. This's this episody, right, I'm right.

  962. Very differently, I cried my own other other times I

  963. just told this, I said, it's very interesting that how

  964. how people can relate to story and just say that

  965. this movie give me encouragement to press on. Because I

  966. was raised up in abuse family. My mom went to prison,

  967. I went to prison. I hated my mom. But when

  968. I saw the movie, I understand why my mom had

  969. to make those choices. And I thought to myself that

  970. as a church, as a church. If we see we

  971. have gotten on our side and the Holy street on

  972. our side. We we should be the one carrying, one

  973. of the people who carry the torch in this world

  974. that's so broken and so hurt. So therefore, for it

  975. is the power to move forward. The Holy Spirit come

  976. upon our life. It's not just for us to have

  977. a good time in church alone or Christian concert or

  978. stadium event alone. Friends, is to be the light out there, really,

  979. to be a light out, to be a source of encouragement,

  980. a strength to someone who really needs it.

  981. That's what revival it's all about. Friends.

  982. Revival is not for us to yeay goose bums, yeay

  983. holy spirits. Here we enjoy the praise of worship another lever.

  984. But revival happens for friends. Where we go out there, where

  985. people see us, they see the Lord, a message of

  986. hope and encouragement. As I close, I want to encourage you.

  987. Do not just limit yourself with the four walls. Friends,

  988. It's beyond the upper room. It really is beyond the

  989. upper room.

  990. Cultivate your relationship with the law.

  991. Because to make assumption this how God will move friends,

  992. Because you never ask the thing that you wanted It's

  993. not necessarily a thing that God prepared for you, prepare

  994. for you, But somethings you've never talked. Four upon your lap,

  995. go like, why what is this the studio? What on

  996. earth is this? There must be a reason, There must

  997. be a purpose.

  998. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  999. information on our church, please visit as church dot org.
