We hope this message will light.

Up your tea. We can be doing it, you see.

We can be doing the very thing, but it just

feels incomplete. We can be having the thing, but it

still feels that something is missing.

You're doing it, but.

It feels off. And sometimes life can be like that.

We're living, but something feels amiss, something is not quite right.

It's almost works that we're living not as we are designed,

living not as intended. Because when we do, for example,

when we play pickaball as how pickleboy is intended to

be played, it's fun. When we boulder with how it's

supposed to boulder with shoes, proper shoes, it's fun. If

you're just wearing going bad food, it hurts. It's not enjoyable,

right it in good food and being able to enjoy

it as intended, it's great. But many times in life

there may be moments that we realize we are living

life not as intended because it feels that something is missing.

We're leaving, but so most of us like we're going

through the motion, but not truly alive, like what John

and Chad going through the motions in church in that season,

but meaningless. You see when people when people are given

the new least of life. I'm talking about people who

are for example, who drowned and was given resuscitation come

back to life. These people, when given a second chance

at life, sees life very differently afterwards. Every single moment

has to count, every single moment. Ask anyone, and this

one I have. I have firsthand account with people who

have said this. Ask anyone that has stands in there,

that has stent in them, that goes through the reason

of heart attack. They see life very differently afterwards. Every

moment has to count, Every moment needs to be taken

hold of and given meaning. See, to live a revived

life is to live a purpose driven life. Just as

any there's anyone that's given a new leason in life.

Every moment is purpose driven. The question for us is

are we leaving? Are we truly we are living? But

are we alive? And if you're not, it's good to

ask ourself this question. Are we living a life that

is purpose driven? Because when you leave a life that

is purpose driven, I'm telling you this, you're living a

life as intended by God, that is God's design for you.

God wants to give you a life that is purpose

driven and purpose not designed by ourself, but a purpose.

Designed by God.

So that is my title for the message, living a

Revived Life, Living a Revived Life. I only have two

points today, even as in acts we go into a

theme of revival, we want to spend this year really

understanding what revival means.

We hear this a lot in church revival.

We hear about revival events that has happened across the world, right,

But what does revival really mean to us? Because if

revival doesn't mean anything to us, it doesn't matter whatever

revival that's happening in the rest of the world or

even to our church. Revival can only become real when

it's real to us. And that's what I hope that

we'll get to see today. We'll get to learn and

hopefully experience what revival is, what revival can be in

our lives.

Amen. So the first question I have for us is this,

what does it mean to be revived?

Take a moment to think, we use the word Christians

were great at using this word. Ask yourself this question,

what does it mean to be revived? For myself? In

p eighty five, verse six. It says this, won't you

revive us again? So your people can rejoice in you?

Do you know in the Bible there's only one I

really believe. So there's only one scripture that has the

word revival in the whole Bible, and it's this one.

Of course, there are other parts of scripture that talks

about or sort of like it's it's a synonym to revival,

but the word revival itself in English. In English, there's

only one part of the Bible that has this word,

which is in se eighty five six, won't you revive

us again so your people can rejoice in you. We're

gonna dive deep into the word revive. Okay, So revive

in Hebrew is koreya. Okay, say together, one, do three

kore ya. Koreya is the word, and it means this.

It's to live, to nourish, up, to preserve, to recover,

to quicken, to restore, to behold.

That was is the that is the original text, the meaning.

Somewhere the Salmi says, won't you revive us again? So

your people can rejoice in you? The Psalmis is actually saying,

won't you cause us to live again. Won't you cause

us to be Norwich again? Won't your preserve us? Won't

you cause us to be restored when your quickness? Won't

you cause us to be whole so that your people

can rejoice in you?

Now this word.

Yeah, so in Hebrew it's a little bit like traditional Mandrin.

You read it from the right to left. You go

to the slight before read it from the right to left.

All right, so call yeah?

All right? So the word yeah, next light?

Okay, So I want us to focus on the word

yeah in care again. Korya means to be revived. Okay,

keep that in the back of it. Call ya means

to be revived. And I look at one of the words,

which is yeah. All right, so yeah. It's also found

elsewhere in the Bible. In other words, before you go

to the next light. You guys aren't going to give

a guess yeah, way, very good anymore? You should not?

Is it the same Greek word? Sorry, the same Hebrew.

Yeah? Okay?

Let me tell you where actually, you guys are right

the next light?

What where you can be? This yeah is also found.

In hallelu yeah, which means pray scott all right, hallelu

yeah yeah.

It's also just now you guys answered it in the

next light yeah, wah yeah. Ways, the four.

Consonants in God's name in Hebrew yeahweh, y h w h,

and two of the consonants make up yeah, which is

half of God's name, all right, part of God's name.

So I want to present to you this to be

called yeah. To be revived, God needs to be in

the picture. You want to have a revived life. God

needs to be in your life, not part of it,

all of it. There's a condition if you want to

live a revived life, God has to be in the

picture next life. God makes your incomplete life. Just now,

we just learned the definition of revived call yeah is

to be whole. Ever, since that things are incomplete, things

are not as intended. You're doing it, but it doesn't

feel it feels like something is missing.

God wants to make it whole.

Revival means God makes an incomplete life whole. One of

the words for that for one of the meanings for

the definition is also quickened.

What does quickened mean? Right? You see, I recently learned this.

I've been listening about learning about sleep, and I found

out we lose consciousness or we fall asleep when our

heart rate is below sixty.

That's when we fall asleep.

Right.

That's why when you worry, your heart rate goes up,

you cannot sleep.

Biology all right, So when a heart rate goes.

Below sixty, that's where you start drifting to sleep. And

the Bible says, with the definition again of choyah of revival,

God wants to quickness. That means God wants to awaken

us from our slumber in life. God wants us to

be truly awake, to experience all that He has to offer.

Don't slumber true life anymore. Be revived. Call yeah, take

hold of God.

Let God be part, not just part, but the whole

of your life, including him, and you will have a

revived life. And you will be quickened, You'll be restored,

you will be whole. Second question, then you may ask,

is how do we then get revived?

We realized that, Oh, to be revived sounds great. I

want that all. I want to go through life with excitement.

I don't wake up taking hold of life, taking hold

of what God has to offer for me.

But how do we get that? What do I do? Lord?

I'm gonna give us some scriptures to help us if

that except the tree verse nineteen, I'm gonna read from

the NIV version. It says, repent then and turn to God,

so that your sins may be wiped out, that times

of refreshing may come from the Lord. Many times it's Christians,

that's what we're looking for right, that we may be refreshed,

that there will be a fresh wind of God's spirit

in our lives.

Do you see the perquisites of that is to repent

and turn to God. Repent and turn to God.

Throughout history, the different spurts of revival that happens in

cities or in towns come from a place of repentance,

when people actually cry out to God and say, I'm sorry, Lord,

forgive me. Lord, I've been ignorant. God, I've been indifferent. God,

I've been doing things that have been broke, breaking your heart.

Repenting for themselves and repenting on behalf of the sins

of the land. That is how the Bakalaalan revival happened

in Sarahad. Students were there repenting, and the whole school

came about starting to pray for repentance for their people,

for their land, and revival came. The times of refreshing came.

So that's the first thing I want to tell us.

You want to experience revival. We got to turn back

to God. And it's things that are not pleasing to

the Lord. We gotta repent. We got to turn back

to God. Psalm fifty one ten says this, creating me

a pure heart of God, and renew a stepfast spirit

within me. Renew revival, create in me a pure heart again,

to bring ourselves before God and say, Lord, make me holy.

I repent Second Chronicle seven fourteen. If my people who

are called by my name, we learn this at homes,

will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and

turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from

heaven and I will forgive their sin and will heal

their land, restoration again, humbling ourselves, seeking God, turn away

from wicked ways, repentance. And then God says this, I

will heal. It's not I may, It's not I may consider.

I will restoration, revival, Choya.

He secure the six twenty six to twenty seven, And

I will give you a new heart, and I will

put a new spirit in you. I will take out

your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart,

and I will put my spirit in you so that

you will follow my decrease and be careful to obey

my regulations. That is what God wants to do for you,

my friends. He wants to revive you. He wants to

give you a new heart, a new spirit. He wants

to give you, in replacement of a stony and stubborn heart,

a tender heart, heart of flesh. The Bible says, have

you been finding it hard to hear God's voice? Have

you been finding it hard to draw near to God?

Have you been feeling the absence of God? I want

to tell you this. God is not absent, but it

is our heart that has hardened. God is ever present.

The Holy Spirit is always in you. The moment you

receive Jesus and when you are baptized by the Holy Spirit,

the Spirit of God is already in you. Never departs,

but we are the one that departs from Him. We

harden our hearts. And sometimes it's not that we do

it intentionally. Sometimes things happen. We get disappointed, we get discouraged,

we get jaded, we get into the most of life.

It becomes routine. And then if we are not careful.

Suddenly things start to lose meaning, why am I doing

what I'm doing? Our hearts start to become stoned and

we start to find it hard to hear from God.

But you see God's desire. It's not for you to

have heart of stone, my heart of flesh. He wants

to give you a new heart. He wants to give

you a new spirit, a tender heart. The scripture says

that you may hear his still small voice, that you

may enjoy his presence.

Oh can you imagine that? Huh? So easy to be happy?

Yes, finding joy in His presence and in the midst

of trials and tribulations, you can still say it is

well with my soul. That is something not the work,

is something in the world offer only God can and

it can only come if you have a tender heart.

And that's what God wants to do, and that's what

it means to be revived. Do not have a dead spirit,

a dead heart. Do not move around like date wait,

dragging your feet. God wants to give you a little

pounds to your feet, give you joy. But it comes

with a new heart and a new spirit. And to

have a new heart and new spirit, to have revival.

What did the Bible say? What did God say? Repent

and turn to me, turn away from your wicked ways,

and I will heal you.

I'll heal your lend, I'll restore you. I'll give you

times of refreshing. Wow, isn't that beautiful? We want that

most of us. We go to holidays for that times

of refreshing.

But Lord wants to give you that every day, every

day Romans six eleven to fourteen. And that's the last

scripture I'll be sharing today. Likewise, you also reckon yourselves

to be date in the sin, but alive to God

in Christ Jesus a Lord. That's how we started that

we can be living, but not truly alive.

We can be living dad lives. And this is where

I drew it from.

Paul is telling us to be date the sin, but

to be alive to God in Christ. What does that mean?

Date the sin, but alive to Christ Jesus a Lord.

Verse twelve says says, therefore, do not let sin reign

in your mortal body, that you should obey in its

last and do not present your members as instruments members

meaning parts of your body, instruments of unrighteousness. The sin,

but present yourself to God as being alive from the dead,

and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For

sins shall not have dominion over you, for you're not

under law but under grace. You see, friends, to be

revived is to experience freedom, freedom to live under God's

grace that can only come when we repent and turn

away from wicked ways. That's the freedom to live not

under law, but under God's grace. Freedom to live, in

a word, to experience and enjoy all that God has

offered for us. That is revival, living alife as how

God intended for us to live. That's where we can

be living and also be alive. So, as I come

to an end, why will we want revival in our lives?

Ask yourself this question. Be honest, do I want revival

in my own life? Do I really want it? Because

only those who really want it will get it because

we can keep encourage and say, oh, I pray that

you have revival in your life. But if we ourselfs

don't want it, we will not experience it because that

desire will drive us to our knees.

Say God, I need you, and.

Let me tell you the devil is really good at

postponing that in your life, postponing you getting on your knees,

delaying you seeking God. And sometimes it comes as such.

I'm going to say, real experience, myself included. I feel

the nudging in my heart to draw near to God,

to seek revival in my spirit, and tell myself tomorrow

morning when I wake up, I'm going to go on

my knees and cry out to God.

And next day I wake up feeling great.

Maybe nonila, I feel okay, I feel okay, just do

quiet time as usual.

I feel okay.

And we delay it, We postpone it, We reschedule revival,

We reschedule our desire to rent our hearts before God.

That's what the devil does very well. And next thing

you know, one year has passed.

That's how your heart gets hardened. Obedience. Sometimes we think

obedience is just doing things, doing a lot of things right.

But sometimes obedience is joining you to God with a

little nudging that the Holy Spirit puts in your Hearty,

it's been a while, son, it's been a while. It's

been a while, my daughter. When you see my face again,

and many times we push that voice away, Ah, Lord,

I'm busy now, though I'm not enough sleep Lord another time,

that's disobedience. And what diobedience does is exactly that hardened

our hearts. And we have to be very careful of

tools of the enemy. As long as he posts he's

delaying you, he's winning. That's what he thinks. Oh, we

don't have to fall through that trap. So I want

to encourage us. When was the last time you got

on your knees? And I know some of you here

have had that desire for the longest time, but he

has been postponed time and time again. We've learned this before.

Delayed obedience, it's still disobedience. So would you obey God,

because when you start obeying, God will give you a

new spirit. God will give you a new heart, a

tender heart that's ever so present to his voice, ever

so sensitive to his void. You remember when you first

accepted Christ, how sensitive your heart worth? Sing praise song

or so can cry? You cry so tender? You remember

those moments when you're praying. Tears will just come. Remember

those moments and you can just sit in quiet before

the Lord, and you will smile, joy will feel your heart.

You remember those moments my friends, those are not reserved

only for new Christians.

Friends.

Doesn't mean when you're Martre as a Christian you don't

feel that anymore.

You still can.

You know your heart can still remain tender before the Lord.

You can still cry before the Lord out of joy

of longing for him. And the question for you is

do you want to get back to that place again?

Because I think when we get back to that place, Wow,

you feel a little bit more joyful, you feel a

little more excited for the day, and even more so

you'll feel that, Wow, life has purpose.

Today when I wake up, there is purpose. I'm excited

for that. Don't know what to be excited for, but

I'm just excited because of what God has offered. Because

God is good.

Call, yeah, to make our lives whole again, to restore us,

to quicken our hearts, to really live a life that

is not in slumber.

But fully awake and excited and aware of what God

is doing. Isn't that amazing to be aware of everything

that God is doing in your life?

Wow?

And that's my desire for all of us today, is

that we may experience God daily, that we leave a

revived life daily, not that all I received Jesus already.

Yeah, I'm revived. That's it.

No Bible says to work out our salvation. It's an

ongoing process every single day. We need God every single day.

If God doesn't have our attention, the world has our attention.

And that's why our hearts start to harden again and again.

Not to say we're all perfect. We can be perfect.

We can't.

There will be days that we will yeah, be drawn away.

But hey, listen to God's voice to say come back.

There's your alarm clock. There's a signal to come back.

Don't snooze it. Okay, God, next time, don't snooze I'm

guilty of that. Don't snooze God's voice. Obey and watch

God do a new thing in your life. Obey and

watch God give you a new spirit and new heart.

Obey and watch God give you a tender heart that

can be so sensitive to his voice.

The moment he.

Speaks, you hear it. The moment he says something, you

receive it. We all many times spray, God, give me

a word for my situation. Can you imagine every single

moment God is speaking to you. That's why having a

tender heart means.

And I want to.

Share these last three points action points for us to

bring back. Sink the Lord daily. Do this, read his

word and let him speak to you. Make room for

the Holy Spirit. Let him be a part of your

every day, not just during your appointment moments. Okay, God,

quiet time, Holy Spirit, I make room for you. You're

invited into my room. The rest of the day, we

go about not realizing the Holy Spirit is with us.

You know that we're not walking around solo. Holy Spirit

is with us, ready to partner with us, ready to

do things with us, ready to do things for us.

But we close that door. No, make room for the

Holy Spirit. Let him be part of it. Physicians, God,

what should I do?

God?

Is there someone that I need to call up today? God?

Is there someone I shouldn't drop a text and ask

how they are doing?

God?

And sometimes I do this a very Holy Spirit remind

me tomorrow that I need to do this. If I forget,

and I'll tell you this, the Holy Spirit does remind

me things. Have fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit

is God within us. How amazing is that? Leave a

life of obedience is the third point? Resist the flesh,

resist comfort, last, and greed, not to say you cannot

have comfort. You can, but don't let comfort take the

place of God. Don't let comfort cost you to have

hardened hearts. Don't let comfort cost you to when God

speak to you you ignore. No, don't let comfort do

that to you. Don't let comfort delay or response to God.

Don't let comfort cause you to sweep God's voice under

the corp it.

You can't have comfort, but comfort, remember is not God.

Resist it when it starts to speak to you in

ways that draw you away from God for last, for greed.

Resist it. Step out in faith. God is asking you

to do this. Step out in faith. God is asking you, Hey,

tomorrow morning, can you spend a little bit more time

with me? Do it and watch God give you a

new heart. Watch God call your you every day.

Watch God revive you every day, give you a fresh perspective,

give you excitement for the day, for the week, for

the days to come. So I'm speaking to those of

us here who are living but not truly alive. God

wants to do a new thing, Not just today. God

wants to do a new thing every day in your life.

Amen.

And my desire for all of us that we will

truly live, live life, a life that is not down,

an exciting life, not just a life going through motions,

but a life of walking with God. And I tell

you this, when you walk with God, that's never a

dull day. Doesn't mean that you won't have problems. But

even in the midst of problems, you can still find

joy in the Lord. You can still go like God,

I can keep going.

Right.

One thing that John said yesterday, he was sharing it

at bit of this story assault as well. He shared

that one of the things that caused him to experience

revival when he came over was being challenged. Many of

us have. Probably we grow up one thing to avoid challenge, right.

We try to avoid challenge and discomfort. That's what society

teaches us. Avoid it, right, try to try to build

safety nets that will prevent you from discomfort. That we

sometimes become so guarded that one God wants to be

is the one that wants to lead us into discomfort,

to grow us, to bring us into the promised land,

to bring us into new territory.

We say, no, God, I got safety nets. Really don't

mess it up. God.

But you see, when God asks you to do something,

don't you think he has got you?

Covered.

Don't you think he's already thinking hundred steps ahead of you.

Really got it covered for you, land given for you.

You just have to step in. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's

very comfortable to be on this side of the river.

Other side got enemies, but hey, I got you covered

or give.

You either land.

You just step in, step in, obey trust me. It's uncomfortable,

but hey, pack your tents, trust me. Take that step

across the river into the promised Land.

Can we do that? Because when we do that, revival

is that head for you? For you? Amen?
