You're listening to a message to go from X Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
It's a very simple word.
-
I want to explain to you what EX Church is
-
embarking on or we have already started. It's called you Turn,
-
so X TV you can help me with this. You
-
Turn is X. Thank you so much. Michelle's ex Churches
-
twenty one days of prayer and fasting. So we've done
-
this for twenty five years now. EX Church is twenty
-
six y is old. The first year when we started
-
EX Church, you know, I didn't feel led to do this.
-
But the second year, already the Lord said, I want
-
EX Church to embark on this yearly annual exercise of faith,
-
and I want to do many wonderful things in your midst.
-
God said to me, he wanted to break bondages, he
-
wanted to heal the sick, he wanted to remove curses
-
from the lives of Christians, and he wanted to do
-
all those powerful, wonderful things to set his people free.
-
So on the first year we did U Turn, there
-
was forty days. And then he went on for another three,
-
four or five years, and it was forty days of
-
yearly fasting. We come back from Easter, actually from Good Friday,
-
and we come back and then we know when to start.
-
We will start on the day where after forty days,
-
we end on Good Friday. Then what happened was the
-
church began to grow and grow and grow, and we
-
had older people joining us and also very young people
-
joining us who may find it not so easy to fast.
-
And so I prayed about it.
-
I said, God, you know, I want everyone to be
-
able to do this, and so it went to twenty
-
one days of prayer and fasting.
-
Hope to say that twenty one days is easy. It's not.
-
But with God's grace we can.
-
All right, let me move to the next slide and
-
tell you how the name U Turn came about. Oh,
-
by the way, we started and we launched you Turn yesterday,
-
all right.
-
So it's twenty one days leading to.
-
Good Friday, all right, And we launched it at pray
-
pr four y. Pr four y stands for prayer rarely
-
four times a year. And many of us were there,
-
over four hundred people were there yesterday and we prayed
-
and we launched U Turn. So today is the second
-
day of the twenty one day fast, all right. Now
-
let me go into the scripture found in Joel chapter
-
two versus Child fourteen, and we will read how U
-
turn came about. Now, therefore, the Bible says, says, the
-
Lord turned to me.
-
Somebody say, turn.
-
With all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.
-
So rent your heart and not your garments.
-
In the Old Testament, when they were sad, when they
-
were in mourning, when they needed to show you know,
-
how sorrowful, how maybe even regretful they are, they will
-
tear their garments, you know. But God is not into
-
external show. He is into our hearts. The Bible says
-
that God looks at the heart, so he's more interested
-
that we rend our heart. And then the Bible continues
-
to say return. Somebody, say return to the Lord your God.
-
For he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and
-
of great kindness, and he relents from doing harm.
-
Who knows if he will turn once again?
-
Say turned, So God will turn and relent and leave
-
a blessing behind him, a grain offering and a drink
-
offering for the Lord your God.
-
So that's where we got.
-
If you would start to turn small, you God will
-
turn bit you.
-
So we called it.
-
You turn, because it will take two to tango, it
-
will take two to clap our turning and returning to
-
the Lord, and he turning to us as he answers
-
our prayer. The next line says, twenty one days? Why
-
why twenty one days Daniel? Chapter ten, verse three. Our
-
inspiration was from the prophet Daniel. He said, I ate
-
no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth,
-
nor did I annoying myself at all till three whole
-
weeks were fulfilled, three whole weeks, meaning twenty one days.
-
And after the three whole weeks were fulfilled, Daniel began
-
to see God, see Jesus. He began to receive visions
-
and dreams and direction and instruction from the Lord. And
-
I think some of you in this room maybe you
-
need that today. Maybe you need some direction in your life.
-
Maybe you need some instruction, Maybe you need some wisdom
-
what to do. Maybe you need some vision and some
-
dreams from the Lord. Maybe you need something that only
-
God could give you. And I just want to believe
-
that as we spent only one days in His presence,
-
fasting and brain, you know God will come through for
-
us if you believe it's a man.
-
All right. Now, let's go into the fast. Many of
-
you know what fast is.
-
You're faster before, and you know, even if you have
-
not faster, you probably know what it is. Our Muslim
-
brothers and sisters are still going through their pasa, and
-
I think they have another five six more days and
-
then it'll be ryah, all right, then we eat again.
-
But for us, we are starting our fast, and I
-
want to tell you a little bit about what it is.
-
Now.
-
Fast in the Old Testament is usually not mentioned with
-
the word prayer, because fasts already a kind of prayer.
-
It's a kind of prayer. It's a deeper kind of prayer.
-
It's a higher kind of prayer. It's a more serious
-
kind of prayer.
-
All right.
-
It's a kind of prayer that is definitely deeper. It's
-
the k in the ask. I call it the k
-
in the as k. All right, a ask and you
-
shall receive. The Bible says, seek and you shall find,
-
knock and it shall be open. Now, when I was
-
preparing this message, I heard the Lord say to me,
-
the best way to explain this is if you know
-
of especially Chinese weddings here in Malaysia.
-
I'm not sure better to do it in Singapore. I'm
-
not sure. I'm not sure whether to do it in
-
Taiwan or China.
-
But here in Malaysia they have something called the cheap
-
sun long.
-
Is that? Is that right? Yeah? Is that cheap choice?
-
And okay? Is there there's a different story altogether.
-
Cheap sun long okay, cheap stud long is in Mandarin
-
or in Cantonese. But what it actually means is that
-
the bridegroom to be is to go and meet and
-
greet his wife, to be at her house. All right,
-
you can even use the word collect his wife. He
-
not not a very nice way to say, or go
-
and uh, you know, receive his wife. Okay, okay. So
-
the cheap sun long is a Chinese practice. I didn't
-
do it for my wedding. I was married thirty one
-
years ago, and I decided not to because it's very inconvenient.
-
The girls on the girl's side, they just love the
-
day where the bridegroom will come and you know, try
-
to torture him before he can get his bride okay.
-
And so I said to my wife, I said, please
-
don't put me through this. She said no, I won't,
-
you know, maybe after marriage, but I'm kidding. I'm kidding,
-
but but you know we decided, no, we won't do that.
-
We'll just meet at the church. Okay, this is a
-
spiritual thing. Uh, you know we love Jesus.
-
No, no, so the Lord said to me, explain to
-
the people at X got the communing today how it
-
looks like. Okay, so this is how it looks like.
-
So the you've probably seen it, heard about.
-
It, been through it. Okay. Now, how many of you,
-
be honest, have gone through this.
-
Okay you were the bridegroom or you were the bride
-
and this was what happened.
-
Come put up your hands. Oh oh yeah, wow.
-
It was fun, right ce g tell me what was
-
your most valuable experience going through that?
-
You what fight your way through? A literally fine rogers.
-
Remember not I asked you the question earlier, but you
-
couldn't answer. Yes, he did answer if I answered, he
-
said he danced to hockey music.
-
Jina, I don't know what you dance to. H Hey, andyone,
-
do you do this? Ah? Come on?
-
Why? Why what differ do you or Regina's chimu chimuchimui
-
means sisters, Uh, sisters in crime. Yeah, what did he
-
do to you? They shave your head or whatever, never
-
to grow back again. What what did you do?
-
God? You to take off your shirt?
-
Oh?
-
You wear a lot.
-
So actually nothing much was revealed. Yeah, that's why the
-
girls are asked.
-
You alive?
-
Sometimes I say, if I think of my share, that
-
girls would die. But but yeah, that's for me as well.
-
So okay, so you know so that the guy is
-
in the car. Huh, all right, we need I'm looking
-
at you gotta she's nothing, Yama, my lad. Okay, that's
-
candy for not me.
-
Okay, but you didn't, come on, you didn't tell me
-
what what? What? What happened with the Chee Moyes and
-
with the sisters in crime? Very kind to.
-
You too many years ago. You were scared for life,
-
and come on, you say, I'm sure you remember just
-
one thing they did? He I remember? Okay, Actually I
-
don't want to remember. No one to remember. The Lord
-
has already healed right on the herds on the pace
-
and he healed. Okay, So the bridegroom to be will
-
end up at the woman's house, okay, the bride's house,
-
and he will do the first a ask, all right, ask,
-
and they will put him through a lot of things,
-
but he will finally be.
-
Able to enter. But he has to do the second thing.
-
Seek, right, he will have to go downstairs, upstairs, whatever basement,
-
no matter how big this house is or small, he
-
would have to seek for her. Now, listen, the girl,
-
or the answer to your prayer has always been in
-
the house. You asked, She was already there. You seek,
-
She was ready there. But the last thing the bright
-
groom has to do is to no, no, because his
-
price is behind the door, and she was always there waiting.
-
How maever, you want to believe that that your answer
-
is there behind the door waiting for you.
-
Ask, didn't come, see seek, didn't come? No, No, didn't
-
come Ask God? Say God, why you say not? He
-
will be opened. Now.
-
Sometimes the devil could be behind the door, and so
-
when you open it, you see.
-
Devil, Release what is mine.
-
I'm not saying that the bride was the devil, but
-
you know I'm talking about the real devil.
-
Okay that he uh? Oh no, no, only you only
-
you heard that. Only you heard that? Okay, he shall
-
not be repeated.
-
All right, But but Rachelle said something naughty all right,
-
just because Daniel is not here. Oh Rogers, you said
-
it all too much. Okay, leave the mother in laws alone. Okay,
-
so h as kay leave them alone, Leave them alone.
-
The are nice people, okay, all right, okay, okay, all right.
-
So that's how he's done. Okay, the answer is there ready?
-
Someone say amen, Okay, I don't know where are you.
-
Maybe you're the asking stage, maybe you're the seeking stage.
-
Do you know what say?
-
When I see seeking meaning? You say, Mom, I'm hungry, right,
-
Mama said I told you there's food a really, so
-
you're asking, but she's said go and seek for it.
-
It's in the fridge. He's in the oven, right, So
-
you just have to don't just I'm hungry, Mom, feed me,
-
you just see, Go open up the cupboards, go open
-
up that fridge. You will find and if you still
-
can't find his knock, mom, where is it? It was
-
just behind the door, all right, So this is important,
-
This is important, Kay, Then knock the fast all right.
-
It's not not just to ask.
-
It's not just a sek is that you know, the desire,
-
that the desperation that.
-
I'm really hungry.
-
I'm really hungry, you know, that's a scripture in the
-
Bible that says, even if the king was a wicked king,
-
he will still get up because the woman isn't stopping
-
knocking on the door. She is persistent. Amen, And Jesus
-
taught us how to pray persistently. Right, he will get up.
-
But we're not talking about a wicked king here. We're
-
talking about a good king. Jesus is the king, all right.
-
So fast is that deeper place. Fast is that desperate place.
-
And I want all of you to join with me
-
if you can, for twenty one days. Today's day, second day.
-
So if you join me today, you only have twenty
-
days left to go, all right, discount for you one day?
-
All right.
-
This fast is the kind of prayer that skips the
-
norm just to focus on the knee. Let me explain
-
that to you. So the norm is eating you. See,
-
you don't even have to think about it. Breakfast, lunch, dinner,
-
some tea, morning tea, some afternoon tea.
-
That's five minutes.
-
Really, some supper that's six But nobody has to force you.
-
Um.
-
Some fast social media, right, some is fast social media,
-
and it's a very normal you don't even nobody he
-
needs to tell you, so straight away to your phone,
-
stay with your video games, stay away to you know,
-
it's so normal, actually don't.
-
You don't even know you're adicted. You're actually already addicted.
-
All right, Uh, and it's a norm. But how do
-
you skip a norm? You skip a norm because the
-
thing that you're focusing on is even more important and
-
it becomes a norm. So allow me now to just
-
share with you just a little detail about how Passandra
-
got better.
-
So it was Monday night.
-
She had a fever, her sortrow head left her and
-
I was asleep because I was so tired over the weekend,
-
and I woke up to ask her, do you want dinner?
-
We had a heavy lunch, she said, nola.
-
But what I did know is that she was going
-
to take patadle and she was going to take by
-
din't c and all that on a anty stommer.
-
And the next morning she woke up in a bad way.
-
All right.
-
That's when we went to the cleanic because no matter
-
how much I prayed, no matter how much I did,
-
she was really in pain everything five to ten seconds. Ah,
-
because the pain was so throbbing front and back. It
-
was causing her not to breathe, and every time she
-
breathed in ah, she would be in pain. All right,
-
there's this gas stric pain. We didn't know it was castrick,
-
you know. And then of course we went to the doctor.
-
Doctor thought it was pneumonia, gave her antibiotics. Then you know,
-
she didn't.
-
Get better, vomited, got better, and then it came back again.
-
And then in the Lord we felt it was more
-
someha flu gastric and she was in pain. She went
-
to bed, not on the bed, but she could only
-
manage to sit upright.
-
Uh. And the doctor already said.
-
If you are unwell tomorrow morning, worse than you are today,
-
you need to be admitted, okay, And that means I
-
admitted on Wednesday, cannot fly back on Thursday, all right.
-
So there was a lot of stay, and I knew,
-
I knew there was a lot of steak.
-
So just what we did. By the time Tuesday night came,
-
we prayed some more. We stopped taking the medication, but
-
we took other things.
-
The Lord gave me some wisdom to the chemist.
-
The chemist was just next door to my hotel, and
-
so I went to the chemists, bought her some Garry's.
-
Corn, and stuff like that. Okay, So.
-
Brought her more panadole, brought her some vitamin C, but
-
also probiotics. Pro biotics, you know, And so she took.
-
She got a little bit better, but still in pain.
-
This this gastric pain on the back won't go away.
-
So by about twelve thirty she was able to close
-
her eyes, but yet still moaning in pain. So I
-
went to bed facing her because I was not sure
-
how bad this would be.
-
And I knew that tonight, the Tuesday.
-
Night matted a lot because Wednesday morning I needed her,
-
She needed herself to be well enough to not be admitted. Okay,
-
so there was a window. Okay, there was a window.
-
So I slept on my bed, look at her, and
-
found myself praying non stop. This way I tell you why, supernatroller.
-
When the Bible says pray without seizing, I prayed in tongues.
-
And in English.
-
I think nineteen percent of the time I was saying, God,
-
have mercy on my wife. God had mercy on my wife.
-
Oh God, she's hurting, she's in pain. If at one
-
time I even say that, Lord, if she can be
-
relief of that pain and just put it on me,
-
because I think I might be able to handle it better.
-
But you know what Jesus said, so kindly, he is it.
-
You don't have to take it. I took it a ready.
-
You don't have to take it, Kenneth, I took it
-
a ready. Wow, I felt so many said two say yes, Lord, Jesus,
-
you already to all our pain, all our sickness, all
-
our regrets, all our guilt, all our worries.
-
Amen. So I said, yes, Lord, yes, Lord, you have
-
You've done it all for us? Or what it was
-
I thinking?
-
You know, And if I love my wife enough to
-
say I will take of pain, Jesus loves us more
-
and to all of our pain, I don't know.
-
Yeah. So, but I was on.
-
My bed and as I was praying for her, just
-
watching over her, and I said, tonight is the night
-
we need to win this war.
-
And so one that D came to the threat the
-
day and I'm awake.
-
Don't stop praying for three hours, three plus hours, And
-
I'm just because I know that if she gets hungry
-
because she didn't eat so well, you know, she was
-
in such a bad way when I gave up greater
-
one size of bush.
-
You can only take two bites.
-
Sure. Thank you, yeah, thank God that we didn't give
-
up like the microphone gave out on me. Holilyh Praise God, Amen,
-
thank you ex sound for helping us with all these problems.
-
Now. So I knew by day now that it was supernatural.
-
God will give you supernatural strength to achieve supernatural results
-
if you believe. You say, amen, it's not me, it's
-
by his grace. I didn't even close my eyes for
-
one second. It's amazing though I would have been sleepy
-
identity someone. I'm lying on my bed, but I'm just
-
looking at my wife and then my treat that she
-
opens her eyes. And I saw her opened eyes as anything,
-
and she said, I'm hungry. So I got up, you know,
-
make her sod unhealthy instant noodles. God have mercy. But
-
you know when you sanctify it, pray over it, you
-
know she'd be all right, Lord, add your nutrients into this.
-
And so she she ate about maybe five chopsticks full.
-
And I cannot but at least she drank a littleit
-
of souit, you know, and I needed to see her
-
sleep and she closed the eyes. He closed your eyes, okay,
-
And I gave her a little bit more, gavis corn and.
-
Close the eyes.
-
But but what I didn't realize, which I should have realized,
-
is that the morning stop means the pain must have subsided.
-
And now the morning turned into snoring. And you know,
-
my wife doesn't snare. She doesn't.
-
But you know, even we who don't store when we
-
are really tired, we store.
-
I mean, that's a fact. But I tell you what.
-
When she sudden snow, I thought it was the most
-
beautiful music I've ever heard.
-
Really, I'm telling you why. Because she's asleep. I said, Lord,
-
letty be.
-
You know, I mean sometimes my wife I complained about
-
me snorting, but I said, there last night, you snored,
-
and I thought it was so beautiful. I said, Lord,
-
please let her snare some more. And she stored, and
-
she slammed. It was a deep sleep. So for th
-
t I closed my eyes because the Lord said, you
-
have just passed the worst. You have just crossed over
-
from death to life. You have just crossed over from
-
sickness that leads to greatest sickness to a point of
-
the healing has begun.
-
All right.
-
You know I only slept for about two hours, woke
-
out at sixty, didn't Lord wo me up to.
-
Do my quiet time.
-
So I did my quiet time, then made this picture
-
that my wife is all right. He was still sleeping,
-
and the worst past, and I realized that even my
-
sleep was skipped. So I'm saying to you right now,
-
the kind of prayer that fasting is is the kind
-
that skips the norm just to focus on the need. See,
-
it's not just fasting. Oh I don't want to eat? No,
-
is you know how fasting really begun. It's not just
-
I fast purposely. It's not just this. It can be this,
-
but it's not just I fast purposely, don't eat and
-
then I start to focus on something to pray. No,
-
it was probably because they had somebody to focus on that.
-
They forgot to eat and it became a fast.
-
However, you have studied before, because your exam is near
-
and you focus so much on the studies, focus so
-
much on preparing your for your exams, you forgot to eat,
-
or you're working or something. You know you're working on something,
-
and maybe there's a leak or there's a leak in
-
your roof, and it's raining heavily, and you're so concentrated
-
that you don't even stop for anything. Because of the
-
fact that there is a focus. That's what fasting really
-
is is a focus that enables you to skip the normal.
-
It could be food, it could be sleep, it could
-
be anything.
-
And God will begin to make the abnormal normal. The
-
natural will become supernatural. Sometimes this is known as intercession.
-
And for those of you who have been in church
-
a long time, you know what this is. Intercession or
-
to interced for something or somebody is actually to stand
-
in the gap. So you imagine with me, I mean
-
when we're in London, you know where we're about to
-
take the Marti there' say, oh, mind the gap. There
-
is always a gap between the platform and the train,
-
or between your old life and your new life, or
-
clean your sickness and your health, or between your curse
-
and your blessing.
-
There is a gap. So what happens when people in
-
the seed is they.
-
Stand in the gap. Think think about it for a moment.
-
If there was a big hole on the floor or
-
in the floor, and you need to get across, but
-
you can't get across until somebody or some people, depending
-
on how big the gap is, will go into the
-
hole and create a platform for.
-
You so that you can walk on.
-
But what is the reason of walking that walking on
-
your shoulder or walking on.
-
Your head or whatever it is? For me?
-
I stood in the gap for my wife that whole
-
night because she needed to cross over.
-
That's it. The purpose of standing a gap for.
-
Anything or anyone, for any church or any family is
-
so that they can cross over from death to life,
-
cross over.
-
From darkness to light, from sickness to health.
-
So we intercede, we make intercession. And a lot of
-
intercesses will tell you that they fast too. A lot
-
of intercesses who tell you that they skip a meal
-
because actually they weren't even thinking about it. They were
-
so into the prayer, so into the making sure that
-
this person you know, is relieved and set free from
-
this particular problem that they weren't even thinking about the norm.
-
So they skip the norm because they focus on the knee.
-
All right, so let's move on. It's the kind of
-
prayer fast thing is that is reserved for the big things.
-
Nobody here were fast just because of some small thing.
-
Nobody here is. I declare fast. You know, if there's
-
something that you can do, or that something that your
-
friend can do or your pastor can do, you and
-
I will only engage in a fast when there is
-
something too big for you, when there is something only
-
God can do. Are you all still with me? It's
-
called the goliaths in our lives. So I coin a
-
term that the Lord gave me a couple of years ago,
-
and this is the quote, I fast because I'm hungry.
-
Now, this is opposite from what.
-
We understand, because we fast because we are full.
-
We eat because we are hungry.
-
But I'm not talking about a physical hunger that you
-
know causes you to eat.
-
When you're hungry.
-
I'm talking about a hunger so deep it becomes a
-
desperation because something in your life needs God's intervention. Somebody
-
in your life needs God to move. Maybe you have
-
a son here who has not been going to church.
-
Maybe your heart aches and breaks because your daughter is
-
not serving the Lord. Maybe you know you're in a
-
state of despair because your parents don't want to accept Jesus,
-
although they have seen your life and they've seen a
-
change in your life. Maybe they even told you, don't
-
talk to us about Jesus. Okay, how God is sufficient? No,
-
who are you to tell us what to do? Okay,
-
don't push your religion on us, don't shove it into
-
our throat, don't preach to us. You know what I'm saying,
-
Until the day I die, I will never accept Christ,
-
you know. And they have declared that. And your face
-
with that kind of problem, or maybe it's a sickness
-
in your body that doesn't want to go away.
-
Maybe it's a.
-
Disease, or maybe it's the fact that poverty has come
-
onto your family from your grandfather to your father and
-
now you, and no matter how hard you work, you
-
always poor.
-
And so you know that many things will go through,
-
some of it in a bit.
-
But I believe people fast because they are really hungry
-
for something that only God can do and only God
-
can give, and they want to see transformation of that situation.
-
So let's look at some of the potential of possibilities.
-
Of why we fast. Okay, the first one is change
-
of heart change change.
-
We need to see change in our condition, in our situation,
-
in our circumstances. And you know that nobody else can
-
help you but God. Maybe he has to do with
-
the government, maybe he has to do with your visa,
-
maybe he has to do with I don't know, a
-
situation that it seems like the whole world is against you,
-
and you need someone's heart to change. You need the
-
directors how to change. You need your parents how to change.
-
You need your sons how to change. You need your
-
daughters had to change. You need your grandparents how to change.
-
You need your neighbors had to change. You know, your
-
neighbor is being a nightmare to you, right and no
-
matter what you do, he continues to be a nightmare. Right,
-
And you need God. I'm gonna fast for one day.
-
We'll fast for two days because I'm hungry to see
-
a change. Because if there's no change, I may have
-
to move house, i may have to move country.
-
Why are my mother in law still like that?
-
You know?
-
Why is my daughter in laws to you like that? Why?
-
Why is there no change?
-
I'm telling you right now, there's some desperate situations and
-
you need to see change.
-
And fasting.
-
Is one of those spiritual disciplines that God has given
-
his church, one of one of it, one of the
-
most powerful.
-
Is hard to do, but it is powerful.
-
And that's why by Friday, Good Friday, when you come
-
from Good Friday, you will hear a lot of testimonies
-
poverty turning into prosperity contracts that that never happened suddenly happened.
-
You know, a sick is healed, disease is gone.
-
You will find out suddenly a man who's been praying
-
for his wife to come to know the Lord, suddenly
-
within the twenty one days turns to the husband and say,
-
you know, I actually want to go to church with
-
you this Sunday. You know this is a change of heart.
-
But before I move on to the next point, often
-
when you fast, the change of heart happens in you,
-
not in others, and that's very powerful as well. Somebody say,
-
a man, what else could you be fasting for? Maybe
-
to cut spiritual and soul ties. This is really important
-
because many people don't understand this, and some even scorning
-
it and laugh at it. But there are spiritual and
-
soul ties that are very powerful, and though it doesn't
-
show you what it is, is at work in your lives,
-
and some people don't understand it. You know, we have
-
seen people get delivered in our church meeting. One time
-
we went to ex Ampang and there was this girl
-
that is, I tell you, the most gentle young lady
-
you will ever meet in extra right. But she was
-
in trouble for a few months. She became different. She
-
just became different.
-
She she wasn't interested in talking. She was thinking about
-
suicide and all kinds of stuff.
-
But she was a beautiful girl and beautiful, I believe.
-
Even in spirit. But the devil had a hole on
-
her and she didn't know what it was.
-
And so she went to ex Ampang that day because
-
she was a bit ashamed to go back to her
-
own chess plan. And so one of our pastors were
-
there and I was another chess plan. But we were
-
on the phone because pastor Pasta Sarah, I can tell
-
you the name. Pa Sarah said, past there is this
-
girl who when she came for service, you know, her
-
eyes were bulging and she was shivering, and she was
-
like muttering something to herself. And so I brought her
-
out and as I brought her out, she became a
-
little bit like violent, you know, with her words. And
-
she said, Pasta, I've never seen her like that, you know.
-
I said, you're talking about the same girl, not, I said,
-
She said, yeah, you know this this this gentle, beautiful
-
young girl. And I said, pray for her. And as
-
a prayer went on, he went on into deliverance, and
-
she said, pasta, you won't believe it, but this girl
-
is standing on one foot and and and she's curling
-
up like a cobra. And she's now manifesting like that,
-
just standing on one foot like that, right, and she's hissing.
-
And I said, I've never done anything before, you know,
-
excuse me, I've never done anything like this before.
-
Past the help, I said, Jesus is bigger, Jesus greater.
-
Okay, you just stand your ground, uh and cast that
-
thing out. And that girl was delivered half an hour later,
-
half an hour long work, a lot of work. But
-
then later on when we sat down to counsel her,
-
asking questions, Wow, her family dedicated her to the gods
-
when she was younger, and then the snake God.
-
And then you know this is spiritual too, ties, guys,
-
it's real.
-
We ministered to another girl who you know, she is
-
not with us in ex church, but I think she
-
was not even from ex church. We ministered to her
-
and after a while manifesting you know, all kinds of
-
a sad and crazy way of manifestation, we finally got
-
her delivered. But in our counseling, we found out that
-
she had already slept with twenty four guys before she
-
turned twenty one. And you don't understand that such thing
-
as soul ties. You are tied in with the person
-
you sleep with, for good or bad.
-
And that's why the.
-
Bible says, don't you know that when you make yourself
-
one with a haled, you.
-
Become one with her?
-
And how can you who have that be one with
-
the Lord?
-
Is very clear the Bible. It says that, so.
-
When you don't renounce and repent and ask God to
-
clean you out and cut those ties, you will enter
-
a marriage with twenty four other souls. So when you
-
sleep with that girl as your wife, you're actually sleeping
-
with soul ties. And so you know things will happen
-
in the future about divorce and unfaithful.
-
Events.
-
And people don't understand what's happening in their lives. But
-
I'm telling you right now, fasting can also help with that.
-
We've seen it over and over.
-
Again, God cutting spiritual and soul ties because people mean business.
-
And if you have another word for fast it's just this,
-
all right, I will say it's just a word.
-
It is a phrase.
-
I mean business with you God, That's what fast means
-
I mean business.
-
Otherwise I'll just live my normal life, eat.
-
What I want, play my video games, do whatever I know,
-
sleep whenever I want to know. But when you really
-
find that the enemy is creating haavoc in your life,
-
I encourage you to fast. That's why ex Church is
-
led by the Holy Spirit to fast every year. Because
-
we don't know what we've taken in. We don't know
-
what we've watched. I tell you another thing, and I
-
think sometimes you might want to fight with me on this.
-
I pray you don't because I might know a few
-
more things than you, especially when it comes to spiritual things.
-
But when you go and.
-
Visit places like Cambodian and all that, I encourage you
-
not to visit the temples. And so people don't know
-
what they do, when they do it, how they do it,
-
and so they need a cleaning out. In fact, some
-
people have got photos of them standing in the temple
-
and whatever it is, and they and they and they.
-
Pride about that. All right. That can become an idol
-
in your life.
-
And the enemy likes to find ways of entering when
-
you give him a foot hole.
-
Listen, this is how the enemy works. Foothold.
-
That's how the snake goes up. The snake doesn't come
-
from up down, he comes from below. That's why he's
-
slithering on the ground. As he sliders on the ground,
-
he does a foothold first because you give it the foothole,
-
and then he goes up to a stronghold. Because your
-
strength is in your hips. That's why when Jacob was wrestling,
-
he was winning. After he was winning over the angel
-
and the angel touches him.
-
That's where the wrestling power comes from.
-
So the enemy comes up your late foothold to stronghold,
-
and now you can't move, and then finally he kills you.
-
My stranglehold, stranglehold, foothold, stronghold, stranglehold. Don't let him go
-
up so high. So when we fast is the time
-
you say, God, I don't know what I've done. Maybe
-
I've visited something I should have visited. Maybe I've said
-
something I should have said. Maybe I've allowed something to
-
enter the eye gay. You know these eyes are it's
-
called a gate that goes into your soul. So be
-
very careful what you watch, be very careful what you hear,
-
be very careful what you say. You also with me
-
these are all gates. And the Bible says life and
-
death are in the power of the tongue. So you
-
can be life, but you can also be death. Everybody, okay,
-
so be fast every year, were fast. I want extras
-
to be free from all these things. So you fast.
-
If you want to cut spiritual soul ties, what else
-
do you do? You cancel curses and deaths. I know
-
a lot of people don't think very much about curse,
-
but curse is very real.
-
Death is very real.
-
In the morning service at eight fifteen this morning, I
-
talked about a variety of curses that I know of.
-
Suicide can be a curse, and you know it's a
-
curse when it follows your family. So somewhere in my
-
family don't know in you know either great grandfather, great grandmother,
-
there was suicide. Then it comes down somebody miss a
-
generation and then it comes down went to my sister Lynette,
-
who took her life before she turned twenty one. And
-
then it came on Nicole, who tried to cut herself
-
in Melbourne when she was in school there. My stepmom
-
sent her to PLC Presbyterian Ladies College and she was
-
so alone, she was so down she cut herself and
-
I flew there to show her that I loved her
-
and show her that, you know, there's still hole. I
-
gave her a big heart. I said, Nicole, you don't
-
have to do this, but it's there. My father was
-
very ill and no one wanted to take care of
-
him except me, and.
-
I really I already did like my father.
-
I did like my father because he was never around
-
and he was always beating me and forcing me to
-
help him light up his drugs and all that kind
-
you know. I just really had a hatred for my father.
-
I know it's a strong word, but I didn't want
-
to be with him. Finally, you were seeing who has
-
to take care of me? I thought to himself, God,
-
why he is so unfair, you know? And none of
-
my family members wanted to touch him. I tell you,
-
when you're really down like that, you know what you
-
want to do. You want to jump out. Now a
-
lot of people in Malaysia knows my dad because he's famous, Okay,
-
Mike Bernicin, manager of Sudaman, the one who brought Michael
-
Jackson into Malayia.
-
Famous.
-
But people are all looking at the external, the Mike
-
Bernie external. Everybody knows him and his number one show
-
promoting Malaysia. But I know him as a man who's broken,
-
drunk EDDI, who is violent, right, and now I have
-
to take care of him. And you know what, I felt,
-
God was so unfair. One day I was standing next
-
to the window and I wanted to jump out, and
-
the voice came, just jump this suicide thing. It's not
-
just counseling that helps, it's really a spirit. In fact,
-
after the eight fifteen service, one of the sisters came
-
up to me and said, Pastor, you're right. It has
-
happened in my family as well, mental problems.
-
It's not just a counseling issue.
-
Even mental issues can be something that follows. I we
-
just heard one of our friends from church years ago.
-
She's now a little bit off in her mind.
-
But she was okay.
-
You know, for years her sister was the first one.
-
And now the sister is in a mental institution, right,
-
And I thought, maybe it just happened to the sister,
-
But this friend of ours was okay. Now it also
-
touched her. I thought to myself, this must be a spirit,
-
This must be a curse. The curse can be poverty.
-
Your grandfather was poor. Your father was poor. You are
-
poor no matter how hard you work. And sometimetimes money
-
comes in, but it's gone. Money comes in, by's gone.
-
The enemy has been able to cut a hole in
-
your pocket. That's why the Bible in malachises, try me now,
-
if I will not open the windows of heaven and
-
poor a blessing right. And he also says, I will
-
rebuild the devour, meaning the person or the devil that
-
has cut a hole in your finances, so you'll never
-
be rich. You understand it's also a curse, and it
-
will cause you to continually be in debt. I know
-
I've started to get serious now, and I hope you
-
don't mind, because it's not a joking matter. But I
-
love you enough to tell you there are things that
-
you cannot see, and that's why it's spiritual. And some
-
people laugh about it. Just like when I send my
-
wife to the doctor in Melbourne. He's a good doctor, really,
-
it was so thorough, but he couldn't diagnose guests. He
-
couldn't diagnose wind because in the western medson western medicine culture,
-
there is there is no win in the sense, there
-
is no gas. When my wife came back here. I
-
took her to the doctor near our house. Uh, it
-
was an Indian lady doctor right. My wife haven't finished
-
explaining fifteen seconds and the doctorsit is gas hiss win.
-
Another thing that the Western culture might not know is
-
heitty heaty?
-
So we eat Duran.
-
You're very heaty. You'd explain this to a Western doctor
-
heat Are.
-
You on heat? You know that's the only thing he knows.
-
Are you on heat?
-
No?
-
I'm hit ty, hey, Duran?
-
Right, But we Asians understand this, so we give, we
-
give things for you to be less heaty, yes or no?
-
God, I don't know what last special dream of? What else? Rhino?
-
What okay? Rhino? What you know, cord I don't know.
-
I know, just okay, Fan mangos Tin, queen of fruit,
-
eat Mangostein settled the king.
-
So there are people who don't understand this. What gurse?
-
What win? What guess? You know? Hey, guys, I'm telling
-
you seriously. It can go on and on and on.
-
Yeah, even divorce. I come from a family that's so
-
full of divorces. I lost count. I lost count, you know.
-
Just to be honest with you, I've been married now
-
for almost thirty one years. I've thought about divorce twelve
-
times because it's there, and it's there. You just had
-
to break it. You see why you are a spiritual man.
-
You're a man of God. Why I tell you if
-
you have two of you, a husband and wife in
-
ministry working in the same office. See, he said every day,
-
if you have a wife like I know, who's strong,
-
loving and loving.
-
But strong.
-
Because she's married to me and she can submit to me.
-
But but there's not many guys she submit to. Okay,
-
God the Father maybe once upon a time, and then
-
her husband. But then she has to make a decision,
-
do something some people very natural, right, Okay, I chose you,
-
so you're my husband. So I submit because God said so.
-
Some days I don't know. I don't want to submit,
-
but you know, God said so, yeah's strong, and I'm okay.
-
With a strong wife, you know it's wrong. And she
-
also knows the word of God. So sometimes I find it.
-
You know, how to argue, how to fight. So I
-
keep it inside and then I think about, let's just
-
end it now. And every time I think about let's
-
just end it, I think about the church. I think
-
about the people that all hurt, you know, and and
-
and and so we press on, and I think about
-
my vowels for better for words. But you know, when
-
I was seeking to explain it, the Lord showed me, Kenneth,
-
divorce runs in your family, and you will not be
-
spared unless you break it. Break it for you, and
-
break it for your children so they will never need
-
to face it. The Lord says, our blessed thousands of generations,
-
but our curse at least three or four. For the
-
person that has gone away from me, the curse will
-
be there. The trouble is, although the curse only last
-
three or four generations, the people within those generations continue
-
to sing against the Lord. So keep going, but praise God.
-
When we become believers in Christ, we know better. And
-
now we say, yeah, it must have it must it
-
must have come down the curses, even divorce.
-
Sickness sometimes can be a.
-
Curse as well disease, especially when you're not the only
-
one who has it.
-
You're you're with me. Please don't like name everything Oza.
-
Don't go home and do that, don't go this This
-
message off for that. But when you start seeing a trend,
-
fasting is powerful. It can really deal with matters like this.
-
Let's look at the word of God. Isaiah fifty eight
-
or six. Is this not the fast that I have chosen,
-
says the Lord.
-
To lose hallelujah.
-
I get excited. I almost going to get off my
-
seat there to lose the bones of wickedness. Yeah, to undo,
-
somebody did so, he wants to undo. To undo it
-
is only because somebody did.
-
So.
-
God wants to come in because there's an enemy who
-
came to still kill and destroy, and he did something
-
to your family. But now you are believers in Jesus,
-
your sons and daughters of the Living God. Somebody say, amen,
-
you have the Holy Spirit living in you, and He
-
was in you is greater than he.
-
Was in the world.
-
So you can undo the heavy buttons to let the
-
oppress go free. I like the last line. Read it
-
with me, and that you break every yoke. Do you
-
see the word you is not with a big letter
-
y because it's not God. God is saying that you
-
sitd in his room. Can't break it you yourself. So that
-
doesn't need to be poverty, that doesn't need to be disease,
-
that doesn't need to be divorced, that doesn't need to
-
be poverty. I think I said it twice.
-
Maybe it's important to say twice. We've seen other kinds
-
of disease go down the line. You know, grand mother cancer,
-
it's almost same cancers. Wone mother.
-
Daughter Anti also has uncles with coincidence. But the Lord
-
has an answer to lose the bonds, to undo the
-
heavy burdons, to let your press go feed, and that
-
we break every your father, the name of Jesus, break
-
every yoke that the enemy has ever plays on our lives.
-
Now, in the mighty name of Jesus, we thank you
-
for it. Amen.
-
Healing sickness and disease. I don't want to go deeper
-
into this because I see I've said enough. Yeah, some
-
sickness is not because of jess Ah. There's polland in
-
the air. No, it's not just that. All this flu
-
season is not just that. Sometimes it can be dead.
-
Sometimes it's because it can be because you fail to
-
eat when you should have eaten, and then you you know,
-
you should have taken medicine without food. And yeah, sometimes
-
we yeah, sometimes it's just temper read. Sometimes it can
-
be pointed back at a mistake we made. But there's
-
some things beyond. It is beyond that.
-
You know it. You know it, you know it. It
-
keeps coming back again and again. You know it.
-
No matter what you take, it keeps coming back. That
-
you see it on others. You see it on others.
-
You look at your line, you ask your auntie, auntie,
-
say a great grandmother also, and you got to.
-
Oh, my word, who else has this?
-
Now? If it's a one off thing, it might not
-
be a sickness link to a curse. If it's a disease, no,
-
my grandmother had diabetes, my father had diabetes. I first
-
have to call diabetes what it is. It's not just
-
a disease, it's a spirit. So I had to I
-
had to learn how to call it out. Because not
-
everybody with high sugar have diabetes, although you shouldn't continue
-
to do take it for granted, understand, but some who tried
-
to control their shugo also have. And well, how do
-
you explain the children diabetes? It's not just science. But
-
the beautiful thing is Jesus has come to set us free.
-
And we are not people without.
-
Hope, we are not people without an answer. I've seen
-
people overcome sickness and disease of a herod digit. Yeah,
-
let's talk about heredigitree for a while. Even doctors who
-
are not Christiana know how to ask you your family background.
-
Don't have to be a christianer to tell you what
-
it's hereded.
-
Did you ask you your father Heaven, not your befo
-
anyone in line God is right. They know, they know
-
how to trace it back. Why we can believe for
-
the physical, cannot believe for the spiritual. But here is
-
what Isaiah fifty eight says. Come on now, Isaiah eight.
-
The whole chapter of Isaiah fifty eight is fasting. The
-
whole chapter fifty eight Isaiah is fasting. So then look
-
at the word. Then your light shall break forth like
-
the morning. Your healing shall spring forth speedily. I ask
-
this for those of you in this room who are
-
not well, and you keep struggling with this. I ask
-
it for you now in the mighty name of Jesus,
-
that your healing will spring forth speedily.
-
Can I hear? Good? Amen?
-
And your righteousness shall go before you. The glory of
-
the Lord shall be your rare God. You know why
-
I like this scripture. It says your life shall break forth.
-
Break forth means there will be a breakthrough. How many
-
of you this morning he had to wake up and say, life,
-
please come forth, just came and when he came to
-
darkness left Such will be your breakthrough. I'm believing that
-
if you are participating in these twenty one days or
-
look forget about the twenty one days for now. If
-
you're you say, oh, is this just a lesson for
-
twenty one days?
-
No, is a lesson for your life. So you don't
-
do this twenty one days, do it some other time?
-
Does that it be.
-
Twenty one can given me two days, one day, one meal,
-
But just mean business with God, Say God, I had
-
enough of this. I want to take my family's future
-
back into my hands. I want to take my health
-
back into my hands. I want to take my finances back.
-
Lord.
-
I want to take it back in your name and
-
for your glory.
-
And God wants that for you.
-
So he says, your life will break forth, your healing
-
shall spring forth.
-
And then now listen to this very carefully.
-
The glory of the Lord shall be your rare God.
-
You know why this is important because the armor of
-
God doesn't have anything to protect your back.
-
Ephesians chapter six.
-
Right now, put on, come on the bell of truth,
-
the breastplate of righteousness.
-
Come on the shoes of the Gospel.
-
Yes, the shield of faith yes, the sword of the Spirit, yes,
-
the helmet of salvation.
-
Yes.
-
What protects the bag? This Bible tells me the Lord
-
is your rare God. It's not always that the enemy
-
is always going to fight you from the front. That's
-
why there is an English saying he stabbed me in
-
the back. The enemy doesn't always come from the front.
-
He likes coming sneaking up from the back.
-
But who will be your rare God? Come on the
-
Lord himself. Amen.
-
And when he's standing behind you, you know what we say,
-
he's got my back. Come on, He's got my back.
-
And so that I can focus on fighting whatever it
-
is before me. Come on, hallelujah. God is with us,
-
God is behind us. God will never leave us, nor
-
forsake us. His glory shall be your rag God. Can
-
I hear good?
-
Good? Amen?
-
Drawing towards the last lap, it also reversus decrease. Has
-
a decree been spoken over your life?
-
Has a decree from an authority?
-
Maybe sometimes that your father didn't know what he was
-
doing when he said something with authority. Your father had
-
and he said something over your life, and he stuck.
-
A decree from your mom.
-
Actually, we didn't plan for you. Actually, out of all
-
my children, you know, you are probably the most useless.
-
There's a decree that went forth. Your brothers will make it,
-
but for you, you know, we just.
-
Send you full time.
-
Yeah, we give our worse to full time. Because God
-
deserves what's left instead of what's right, left, right, We
-
always give him what's left instead of giving what's right.
-
What has been declared on you.
-
You know, when we look at Esther's life, Esther, Esther,
-
when we read it, we find there is a decree
-
that came from the king, and a decree from the
-
king cannot be reversed. You know that it's sealed with
-
his signet ring. You know what he did. He said,
-
let the Jews die annihilation. Oh oh yeah, okay, no,
-
don't be sorry, it's okay, it's all right. We love
-
children's voices here, we do, because the Bible say is
-
out of the mouth of babes you have ordained praise amen.
-
So I never reject a child's voice. But listen to
-
me very carefully. The degree already said cannot be reversed.
-
Then Mordecai comes and say Esther, you've got to do something.
-
Who knows that God brought you here for such a
-
time as this. Yeah, So what did Esther say? She
-
told them to reply, Mordecai, go gather all the Jews
-
who are present in shushan and fast for me. Or
-
pause there for a moment, pause there for a moment.
-
Did she say, fast and pray for me? She didn't
-
say pray, because I told you at the beginning fast
-
is already a kind of prayer. That's why in the
-
Old Testament they rarely said fast and pray. Today we
-
say just in case people only fast and no pray,
-
because fast without praying is diet. I want to encourage
-
all of you are when you're really fasting, when you
-
mean business with Godda. Please don't go and weigh yourself
-
on the way scale every day.
-
I please.
-
I encourage you, all right, because it can very easily
-
turn in your diet. Wah wah, half a kilogram, I
-
lost you better fast and more fast of all? All right,
-
first and all today, even the things I want to eat,
-
I don't know, because tomorrow if we do kilogram, don't
-
do that. Don't do that. Every time I fast. There
-
was one time I fasted for how many months?
-
Ah? Half a year? Okay, six months?
-
No sweets, oka, no chocolate, no ice cream, no sweet drinks.
-
That thinger.
-
I think I lost about fifteen kilograps. Okay, But I
-
tell you what I don't know. I say I think
-
because I did not weigh myself for six months. I
-
just don't want to turn something beautiful into something about me.
-
So I encourage you.
-
If you're really fast in door way yourself, it's okay.
-
Maybe you even with yourself one days. Hey, come heavier,
-
because Daniel right when the king examined him, after ten days,
-
he was fettered.
-
The Bible says.
-
Then the rest jess on vegetables and water, all right,
-
means healthier.
-
He was healthier. The Malay's like, you say, oh my yes,
-
say haada.
-
You know what they're saying, right, you're good, Mola, so
-
oh Hannah, anytime my Malay friends see me, okay, I
-
say yeah, I say yeah, say what it means, you know?
-
All howkay? All right, so fast for me.
-
She didn't say pray, but she meant when you fast,
-
you are praying in a deeper level.
-
You mean business.
-
She said, neither eat nor drink for three days, so
-
it doesn't have to be twenty one night or day.
-
My maids and I will fast likewise. Don't ask somebody
-
to do what you are not willing to do. My
-
maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will
-
go to the king, which is against the law.
-
And if I.
-
Perish, I perish. But you know she didn't perish. This
-
one lady turned the whole situation around. She had favor
-
in the King's eyes. You know when she went to
-
the king. She only went to the king to appeal
-
or to make a plea after the three days are fast,
-
because she knew there was power in it. And God
-
gave her favor with the king, and God gave her.
-
Hayman's head the enemy.
-
And not only that all the Jews in the region
-
were say, not only that the Jews turn around and
-
kill their enemies. That's how you reverse a decree. Sometimes,
-
my wife and I like to bring this God, whatever
-
Satan has thrown it as a this vega, please cause
-
it to go back on him ten times war. You
-
know you like to say that we like send it,
-
send it back return to sender h address no, no, okay,
-
some spiritual song. Those of you will old enough, you
-
know that song. Okay, but never mind, return to sender.
-
Send it back, Lord, send it back. Whatever FI read
-
that that has come my way, send it back, Send it.
-
Back to the person.
-
You know, sometimes the men and women use when the
-
devil can also be used to curse you. You know,
-
in in Malaysia, we understand this. Okay, they can curse this.
-
This worl of darkness is full of nonsense, I'm telling you,
-
but it's real.
-
It's very real.
-
So I say, Lord, whoever sending to me a sending
-
back to him?
-
I can imagine my mind, Rosa.
-
You know, the missiles all coming towards you are, and
-
then you pray, oh God, send it back. Then all
-
you turn, you turn, that's right, yeah, yeah you all
-
you turner, and then the fullest pray, the fullest laughing
-
ha ha. You know Kenneth is going to have skin
-
disease a ha ha. Then it comes to back. How
-
can I send you send back? Because God can do that?
-
He can you turn? How many of you are willing
-
and one thing to see the enemy get into trouble?
-
Not you? Okay?
-
Why should he bully you? And your family. Right, we
-
asked God to bully him back. Okay, say Lord, I'm.
-
Not the target. Send it back, send it back. Now.
-
As we close, let's do one more thing, last one.
-
Fasting is not just about don't. Don't do this, don't
-
eat that, don't drink this.
-
No, it's not.
-
And if our Christianity is all about don't, that's why
-
a lot of people don't like it, Oh Christian, Christian
-
or your ten commandments everything don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't.
-
Yeah, No, we also do do do do, do do.
-
And so let's turn now, as you are fasting together
-
with me for the next twenty days, let's watch and
-
see and read and look what we should be doing
-
with our lives and especially with our fast Let's now
-
turn to Isaiah fifty eight, the fasting chapter, and let's
-
finish off today with the reading of God's precious word
-
verse six. I don't have it on the screen, guys,
-
because it was a bit too long. I only prepared
-
this message yesterday when the Lord gave it to me.
-
I had another message altogether prepared for you. But the
-
Lord said to me, they are going too fast, So
-
tell them how powerful it is okay.
-
So here we go verse six of chapter fifty eight.
-
Is this not the fast that I have chosen to
-
lose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burtons,
-
to let the oppress go free, and that you break
-
every yoke?
-
Is it not?
-
Come on now the the doo to share your bread
-
with the hungry. Yeah, come on, these are the times
-
where we've got to remember those who are less fortunate,
-
and that you bring to your house the poor who
-
are cast out. When you see the naked, that you
-
cover him and not hide yourself from your own flesh.
-
Then your light shall break forth like the morning we
-
read earlier. Your healings shall spring forth speedily. All these
-
are promises of God, and your righteousness shall go before you.
-
The glory of the Lord shall be your red God.
-
Then you shall call and the Lord will answer. You
-
shall cry, and he will say, here I am. If
-
you take away the yoke from your mist Now this
-
is something you must do. Take away the yoke from
-
your mits. The pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness.
-
So stop pointing the finger. A lot of us we
-
want our breakthrough, but we keep blaming others and pointing
-
the finger at others. You gotta stop doing that. The
-
Lord doesn't like it. You gotta stop pointing the finger
-
and speaking wickedness. If you extend your soul to the
-
hungry and satisfy the affricted soul, then your light shall
-
dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as
-
the noonday. The Lord will guide you continually and satisfy
-
your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones. You shall
-
be like a water guarded hallelujah, and like a spring
-
of water whose waters do not fail. Those from whom
-
you shall those from among you sorry shall build the
-
always places you shall rise. You shall raise up the
-
foundations of many generations. Then you shall be called the
-
repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets. To dwell
-
in last two verses, if you turn away your foot
-
from the Sabbath, listen. This is very important because a
-
lot of us have forgotten how to treat the Sabbath,
-
and in Malaysia the Sabbath is Sunday. In the Jewish
-
culture is Saturday Friday night going into Saturday. But for
-
us we practice Sunday. You must learn to respect the Sunday.
-
Don't do your own pleasure this morning. You know, when
-
I say that, maybe pickleball also has to be put
-
aside on Sunday, so many people are laughing. And when
-
I say pickerball, I looked up to the ceiling because
-
I didn't want anybody to feel judged. But don't play
-
around with the Sunday. If you call the Sabbath a delight,
-
the holy day of the Lord honorable, and shall honor him,
-
not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure,
-
nor speaking your own words, then you shall delight yourself
-
in the Lord.
-
What will happen. I will cause you.
-
To write on the high heels of the earth and
-
feed you with the heritage of Jacob, your father.
-
The mouth of the Lord has spoken. Father.
-
As you speak, your words will not return to your void,
-
But your words that you have spoken today will go
-
forth and accomplish the purpose for which you send it.
-
Is there anyone in this room as we close who
-
will say in your heart that this message was for you,
-
maybe even for your loved ones. And you can't wait
-
to get up, go back home and tell somebody you
-
love that we can beat this, we can overcome this.
-
We can see our son coming back to the Lord.
-
We can see our daughter coming back to Jesus. We
-
can see our parents no longer talking about divorce, but
-
wanting to reconcile. We can see sicknesses broken, diseases heal.
-
We can see finances and financial situations change.
-
We can see curses broken, the yoke broken.
-
We have hope in Christ because He's done it all
-
for us. He took our pain, he took our shame,
-
he took our curse. In fact, the Bible says in Galatians,
-
he became a curse for us. Person is he who
-
hangs on the tree. The Bible says, so, Jesus took
-
our curse. The curse is easily broken if you would
-
turn to Jesus focus.
-
One sister told me after the eight fifteenth service. She said,
-
there is a loved.
-
One in her life who had many problems and had
-
demonic spirits tormenting him. And then the day came when
-
this lady shared with this person the truth that God
-
is bigger than Satan. And then all fear went away,
-
and then young man does not live under fear anymore,
-
and fear was broken, and he's no longer under bondage
-
to Satan. Satan uses fear to grip you and to
-
buy you, and to put you in prison. Are you
-
living in fear, some kind of fear. I pray that
-
you will see your fear disappear. Wow, that rhymes. Maybe
-
someone should write a song, My fear shall disappear in
-
Jesus' Name.
-
